- 0:15Speaker 3: The anticipation is over. It was released at midnight and
- 0:18Speaker 3: people are streaming it everywhere, including our very own kidd O'she.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Well, So, on the ride in this morning, I was like, Oh,
- 0:24Speaker 2: that's right, the new Taylor Swift album's out. I think
- 0:26Speaker 2: this is preview it. I'm not a Swifty, I'm not
- 0:28Speaker 2: a like certified Swifty.
- 0:29Speaker 4: Okay.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I like Taylor Swift. I like her music. I like
- 0:32Speaker 2: a lot of her songs.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Okay, Well, tell us what did you think?
- 0:35Speaker 5: I loved it? I love it.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I think she's in love and you could hear it
- 0:40Speaker 2: in the music, and I you know, why can't we
- 0:42Speaker 2: all love that?
- 0:43Speaker 4: All right?
- 0:44Speaker 3: So, you previewed a lot of the tracks on the
- 0:47Speaker 3: album or songs on the album. Is there one that
- 0:49Speaker 3: sticks out as your quote unquote favorite so far?
- 0:52Speaker 4: Based on your.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Quick little I really like would would yeah?
- 0:56Speaker 4: Like knock on wood?
- 0:57Speaker 2: She says, yes, and all I could think of when
- 1:01Speaker 2: I was listening to this album, was like, this tour
- 1:03Speaker 2: is going to be so much fun.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Oh yeah, when she does go on, when she does
- 1:08Speaker 4: go on to it.
- 1:08Speaker 2: But then you were telling me that might not be
- 1:10Speaker 2: for a while, because you're making some predictions here exactly.
- 1:12Speaker 3: So Taylor's thirty five, she's engaged. My prediction is she
- 1:16Speaker 3: and Travis will get married within a year and they're
- 1:19Speaker 3: going to work on starting that family after she has
- 1:22Speaker 3: baby number one.
- 1:22Speaker 5: Oh my god, there's multiple babies before a tour.
- 1:25Speaker 4: I mean, yes, okay, next time, the next time she
- 1:28Speaker 4: does like a big tour like she just did, yeah,
- 1:30Speaker 4: will be after she becomes a mother, Travis is retired
- 1:33Speaker 4: from football, they go on the road together.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I'm telling you, this is the vision I have. Maybe
- 1:39Speaker 3: in the next two years, give it a couple of years,
- 1:41Speaker 3: but that's what I think is going to happen.
- 1:42Speaker 5: I don't know that you're wrong about this.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I hope that this all comes true for Taylor and
- 1:48Speaker 2: Travis if that's what they want, and I think that's
- 1:50Speaker 2: what they want. And again, you listen to this album
- 1:52Speaker 2: and it's just it's just viewing love, which I think
- 1:56Speaker 2: is wonderful.
- 1:56Speaker 5: And I think we can all use right now.
- 1:58Speaker 3: And by the way, the song now it doesn't come
- 2:04Speaker 3: to mind, but the State of Ophelia. Yeah, we are
- 2:07Speaker 3: going to the Fate of Ophelia. We're going to play

- 5:20Speaker 3: from it all like a blind man sat on a fence,
- 5:22Speaker 3: but it don't work. That's about avoiding tough decisions and
- 5:25Speaker 3: hoping the problems fix themselves, but you know they rarely do.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Maybe you've stayed in a draining job or a relationship
- 5:31Speaker 3: you're afraid to make a move and.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Sitting on the fence.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Yeah, feel safe, but it often leads to more stress.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So it reminds us that facing the issue, even when
- 5:40Speaker 3: it's really uncomfortable, is the only real way forward. Under
- 5:46Speaker 3: Pressure by Queen and David Bowie turned away from it
- 5:49Speaker 3: All like a blind man sat on a fence, but
- 5:51Speaker 3: it won't work or don't work, I should say. You

- 6:56Speaker 6: Sometimes I do go online like Reddit or Google, so

- 7:05Speaker 6: I'm not the only one and this is happening out
- 7:07Speaker 6: there and other people are going through it.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Is there a reason why you don't go to a
- 7:11Speaker 4: licensed therapist?
- 7:12Speaker 6: I'm on the boat where what is the licensed therapist

- 10:47Speaker 2: getting through to a human.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Yes, will they work? We'll share them with you.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Coming up next, tell me Untilly in the morning ninety
- 10:55Speaker 2: seven point one wash FM. We have a list of
- 10:57Speaker 2: tricks you can try to get through to a human
- 11:00Speaker 2: when calling customer service.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Tell me more chili.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Well, I came across this article that gave you some tips,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and I have tried at least two on the list
- 11:09Speaker 3: and they have worked for me.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I haven't asked for this.
- 11:12Speaker 3: They say, ask for a supervisor, phrasing it as someone
- 11:16Speaker 3: who can solve my problem. It's less confrontational, but it
- 11:19Speaker 3: could work, right because if you're not getting what you need,
- 11:23Speaker 3: here is the one that I always go to. Yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 3: you get a phone tree, hit this, if you want this,
- 11:28Speaker 3: hit this.
- 11:28Speaker 4: I just keep hitting.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Zeros right and somehow majority of the time ninety seven
- 11:33Speaker 3: point one percent of the time, Yeah, it does get
- 11:36Speaker 3: me to a human.
- 11:37Speaker 5: See now zero.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Zero zero, I've done the zero zero zero before and
- 11:40Speaker 2: then it all of a sudden it goes goodbye, and it's.
- 11:43Speaker 5: Like, I'm like, it just hangs the excuse me, how rude.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I've never tried this. They say say nothing. If you
- 11:50Speaker 3: don't respond to any of the prompts, many systems time
- 11:54Speaker 3: out and connect you to a human by default.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I have done that where they're like, do you have
- 11:59Speaker 2: your credit card number or please say it or put
- 12:01Speaker 2: it in and you just don't say anything, and then
- 12:03Speaker 2: it's like it seems like you're like it doesn't hear you.
- 12:05Speaker 5: So it's like, let's get you an assistance.
- 12:07Speaker 4: You need an assistance.
- 12:08Speaker 5: So that does work.
- 12:09Speaker 3: And then they also say call during off hours like
- 12:12Speaker 3: early mornings or late nights. It's less busy and instead
- 12:15Speaker 3: of just waiting in queue forever, you'll get to a person.
- 12:18Speaker 3: But another thing that I thought that was interesting in
- 12:20Speaker 3: this article, they say, if you want to get a human,
- 12:24Speaker 3: choose an option that involves paying money. Okay, because they're like, oh,
- 12:29Speaker 3: this person's gonna do a subscription whatever, and then a
- 12:31Speaker 3: human will answer to gain and oh, no, I'm sorry.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I didn't mean to hit that. I must have hit
- 12:36Speaker 5: the wrong one.
- 12:37Speaker 7: She'll be in Chile's nearly impossible questions?
- 12:39Speaker 5: Why mistake? What is today's question?
- 12:43Speaker 3: The average adult will use or take two hundred and
- 12:49Speaker 3: fifteen of these a year.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Oh, what is it?
- 12:52Speaker 5: Okay?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Eight six six nine two seven four three six one.
- 12:56Speaker 2: To answer our nearly impossible question. That's eight six six
- 13:00Speaker 2: ninety two seven four three six one. What's that question again?
- 13:03Speaker 3: The average adult will use two hundred and fifteen of
- 13:06Speaker 3: these a year.
- 13:07Speaker 4: What is it? And I'll give you this hint. It's
- 13:10Speaker 4: health related, all right?
- 13:11Speaker 2: If you guess correctly, you've got Gavin de Graus tickets
- 13:13Speaker 2: at the Lincoln Theater on November twenty ninth. Eight six
- 13:16Speaker 2: six nine two seven four three six one. We'll get
- 13:19Speaker 2: the answer to the nearly impossible question, plus line up
- 13:22Speaker 2: more music for your Friday morning drive in.
- 13:24Speaker 5: That's next.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Toby and Chilly's nearly impossible question.
- 13:29Speaker 5: And I'm kiddo o'shee.
- 13:30Speaker 2: We are playing for tickets to Gavin de Grau at
- 13:32Speaker 2: the Lincoln Theater on November twenty ninth.
- 13:35Speaker 5: What's today's question.
- 13:36Speaker 3: The average adult will use two hundred and fifteen of
- 13:40Speaker 3: these a year.
- 13:40Speaker 4: It is related to your health? What is it?
- 13:42Speaker 5: Eight six six nine two seven four three six one.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Good morning in Arlington, Jonathan. You are part of the show.
- 13:49Speaker 4: How are you? I'm good?
- 13:51Speaker 7: How are you?
- 13:51Speaker 4: We're doing great. You've got the question what do you think?
- 13:54Speaker 5: The answer is, we're thinking painkillers.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Like uh ask brin Adville tail and all.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Oh, there's a counter painkillers, right, Yes, I'm guessing yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 3: not prescription. That's a lot of kilsyre. You know, headaches
- 14:10Speaker 3: are very common ailment, sore muscles. I can see where
- 14:13Speaker 3: you might take two hundred and fifteen aspirin or other
- 14:16Speaker 3: pain relievers a year and that is the correct answer.
- 14:20Speaker 8: Awesome.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Congrats You going to see Gavin de Grawe at the
- 14:23Speaker 2: Lincoln Theater on November twenty ninth.

- 17:47Speaker 2: On Fridays, we like to share a feel good story
- 17:49Speaker 2: to put you in a good mood. A Maryland music
- 17:51Speaker 2: teacher is turning her own story of survival into a
- 17:54Speaker 2: powerful lesson in healing one song at a time. Our
- 17:58Speaker 2: feel good Friday story is next. We hope you're having
- 18:02Speaker 2: to get Friday. So far, it's Toby and Chilly in
- 18:03Speaker 2: the Morning, ninety seven point one Wash FM. I'm Kidoshe.
- 18:06Speaker 2: It's time for our feel good Friday story.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:09Speaker 3: So, Emma g is a music teacher and a songwriter
- 18:12Speaker 3: who lives in Maryland, and she was able to turn
- 18:14Speaker 3: a lifelong connection to music into a very powerful tool
- 18:18Speaker 3: for healing and hope. Emma wrote her first song when
- 18:21Speaker 3: she was just five years old, and her bond with
- 18:23Speaker 3: music deepened as she went through childhood, and it was
- 18:26Speaker 3: marked by medical challenges because she was born with something
- 18:29Speaker 3: called hydrocephalus. It's a condition that causes fluid build up
- 18:32Speaker 3: in the brain and Emma had twenty four surgeries by
- 18:36Speaker 3: adulthood with memory often effected. Music sort of became her
- 18:41Speaker 3: diary and it helped Emma hold on to moments and
- 18:43Speaker 3: emotions that might otherwise have slipped away. And then she
- 18:46Speaker 3: suffered more tragedy. She lost a former boyfriend to suicide.
- 18:50Speaker 3: And she made a promise to use music to help others,
- 18:52Speaker 3: especially young people, understand their worth and also manage their
- 18:57Speaker 3: mental healths. And today Emma fulfills that mission by working
- 19:00Speaker 3: with students across the DC area using songwriting, breath work,
- 19:04Speaker 3: and voice to ease their anxiety and promote self expression.
- 19:09Speaker 3: And through every lesson, Emma reminds her students that their
- 19:13Speaker 3: voices matter and that music can be more than art,
- 19:17Speaker 3: it can be a lifeline. And so we want to
- 19:20Speaker 3: thank Emma g for giving us a very inspiring story
- 19:23Speaker 3: today for our feel Good Friday story and you can
- 19:27Speaker 3: read more about it on the Toby and Chili page
- 19:30Speaker 3: at washfm dot com.
- 19:31Speaker 2: All right, Chili, thanks for sharing all that with us.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Coming up next, do you have a home repair that
- 19:36Speaker 2: you've been putting off? Look, you're not alone. Wait until
- 19:39Speaker 2: you hear what Mega Superstar is putting off a home repair.
- 19:43Speaker 2: I'll share that story with you coming up next. Plus
- 19:45Speaker 2: we'll take your calls at eight six six nine two
- 19:48Speaker 2: seven four three six one Toby and Chilly in the Morning,
- 19:52Speaker 2: ninety seven point one wash FM. Are you putting off
- 19:55Speaker 2: a home repair? We want to know what it is.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Eight six six nine two seven three six one. The
- 20:00Speaker 2: reason we're talking about it I was listening to the
- 20:02Speaker 2: podcast with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app.
- 20:05Speaker 5: It's a new podcast. He talked to Madonna.
- 20:07Speaker 2: She doesn't do a lot of the interviews, and it's
- 20:08Speaker 2: a really great podcast, by the way, you should take
- 20:10Speaker 2: a listen to it. But in the interview she talks
- 20:13Speaker 2: about that she's been putting off a leaky roof for
- 20:16Speaker 2: like a month, and I'm like, you're Madonna.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yeah you can afford to fix that leaky roof, and
- 20:21Speaker 3: that's a pretty major issue.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't want that thing falling on your head.
- 20:26Speaker 2: But it got me thinking, if Madonna's putting off home repairs,
- 20:29Speaker 2: what are we all putting off?
- 20:31Speaker 5: Chili?
- 20:31Speaker 2: Do you have a home repair that has been going
- 20:33Speaker 2: on for years that you just kind of push off
- 20:34Speaker 2: to the side.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I hate to admit this, but one of the railings
- 20:37Speaker 3: on our deck is like you should never lean on
- 20:40Speaker 3: it because you'll fall over and it's not safe at all.
- 20:43Speaker 3: But we don't spend a whole lot of time out there,
- 20:46Speaker 3: so yeah, we're putting off that expense because we can
- 20:50Speaker 3: avoid the deck. But I'll tell you this, if our
- 20:53Speaker 3: roof was leaking, we would have been on.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Top of that a long time ago.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Well that makes me think the last time I was
- 20:59Speaker 2: home that my parents hout. Same thing with the deck.
- 21:01Speaker 2: There's a hole in the deck. There's like a rotted
- 21:03Speaker 2: piece of wood. My mom just put a little rug over.
- 21:05Speaker 2: It's just walk around the rug please, all right. Tanya
- 21:09Speaker 2: in Frederick, how are you on this Friday morning.
- 21:11Speaker 8: I'm good. How are you?
- 21:12Speaker 5: We're great?
- 21:13Speaker 4: So what is a.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Home repair that you still haven't tackled? And why I.
- 21:19Speaker 8: Need new windows? The ones I have they're old, they're drafty.
- 21:24Speaker 8: But you know, between work and the kids, I just
- 21:28Speaker 8: I ain't had time to do multiple appointments and go
- 21:30Speaker 8: through all the installations. And I just haven't had time
- 21:33Speaker 8: to do it and needs to be done.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and we're about to head into winter.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the drafty windows can really jack up the price
- 21:41Speaker 3: of the electricity, that is true.
- 21:43Speaker 5: But don't feel bad, Tanya. You're not alone.
- 21:45Speaker 2: If Madonna's putting off her home repairs, you keep putting
- 21:47Speaker 2: off those home repairs.

- 25:57Speaker 4: Streamed it this morning and you you loved.
- 25:59Speaker 5: It, right, I loved it.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I think it spews love, is what I said earlier
- 26:03Speaker 2: this morning, and I think we can all use that
- 26:05Speaker 2: right now. Now you are a resident English major and
- 26:08Speaker 2: you've dug into the lyrics a little bit, Can you
- 26:10Speaker 2: tell us a little bit about the meaning of the
- 26:11Speaker 2: Fate of Ophelia?
- 26:12Speaker 5: The song we just heard, Well.
- 26:13Speaker 3: If you don't know, it's drawing on the tragic figure
- 26:16Speaker 3: of Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet, exploring themes of emotional vulnerability,
- 26:21Speaker 3: identity loss, and ultimate survival, and her lyrics portray a
- 26:26Speaker 3: woman who feels herself unraveling under the weight of a
- 26:29Speaker 3: very toxic relationship or public pressure, echoing Ophelia's descent into
- 26:34Speaker 3: madness in the Hamlet. However, in Taylor's version, it doesn't
- 26:39Speaker 3: end in tragedy. The song shift towards reclaiming you know,
- 26:43Speaker 3: agency and suggesting she was close to the fate of Ophelia, but.
- 26:47Speaker 5: Someone Travis Kelsey.

- 27:06Speaker 2: and you're like, she's not going on tour anytime soon.
- 27:08Speaker 3: No, I really believe since she's thirty five, they're gonna
- 27:11Speaker 3: get married within a year, they're gonna start trying to
- 27:13Speaker 3: have babies, one way or another, have kids, and then
- 27:18Speaker 3: as a mother, she'll go on tour and Travis would
- 27:21Speaker 3: have retired from football, so he'll be like the stay
