- 0:28Hey, everybody. Good morning.
- 0:29From the chicken coop. So apparently Dottie has a lot
- 0:33to say this morning. Dottie, you want to You want to
- 0:36do the podcast this morning? Oh, you've got a lot to say,
- 0:39darling, don't you? She sure does.
- 0:42Well, this is. She's cracking me up.
- 0:46This I this morning we are going to be talking about does your
- 0:51own life interest you? So isn't that a crazy question
- 0:55to ask? Like of course I must be
- 0:57interested about my own life. But really, I want you to stop
- 1:00and think about this. Because if that was true and you
- 1:04were truly living like your life, interested to you, and you
- 1:08were focused on your life, then. You wouldn't be talking about
- 1:13other people. You wouldn't be looking outside
- 1:17yourself for constant entertainment, i.e. being on
- 1:21your phone all the time or watching television or movies or
- 1:25whatever, and just being completely distance.
- 1:28If your own life truly interested you, you would be
- 1:31focused on just that. You would be working towards
- 1:35bettering your own life, bettering yourself as a person
- 1:38and. Pushing through with that, you
- 1:41would not be caught up in all this other stuff.
- 1:44So when we have these these situations where we ask a really
- 1:48interesting, difficult question and we start to wonder about the
- 1:52answers that we're coming up with, we have to say to
- 1:54ourselves, okay, I got to take a genuine look at this.
- 1:58I've got to discern this and see if this is really true for me.
- 2:01Am I interested in myself and in my own life and in what I'm
- 2:04doing? And for me I mean.
- 2:07Learning is a is a very big part of it.
- 2:09I'm always working towards learning new stuff, it's just
- 2:14the nature of who I am and now I'm not going to change that.
- 2:16Right now I'm in the middle of taking a painting class on how
- 2:19to use different elements to work with watercolors.
- 2:23Meaning, sometimes you might use salt, you might use alcohol, you
- 2:27might use dish soap, all these cool little things that give you
- 2:31different effects and. For me, that's just an important
- 2:37aspect. I don't like going around
- 2:40talking about other people. I find that it's just a
- 2:44distraction. I don't like focusing on just
- 2:48being obsessed with my phone. I social media.
- 2:53If anybody follows me on social media, they know I'm terrible at
- 2:55keeping up my business page because I just, you know, it
- 3:00just doesn't interest me. I know I need to do it, but it
- 3:03doesn't interest me. My personal page, well, I use
- 3:07that to connect with friends who I have all over the world from
- 3:09my years of traveling and working all over the world.
- 3:12So I'm fortunate that I have people everywhere that I love
- 3:15and appreciate and that's a little bit how we keep stay
- 3:18together. But even there I may be on it
- 3:20for like 3 minutes and then I'm done.
- 3:24So. Being interested in your own
- 3:27life means you work on you, you focus on you, you cultivate the
- 3:32things that interest you. You don't go out and start
- 3:35focusing on everything else, talking about other people,
- 3:39talking about other stuff, giving more interest into things
- 3:42that are outside of your control.
- 3:46And part of the reason for that is if you're doing that.
- 3:51You're not growing. It's that simple, hands down.
- 3:54If you're participating in those things, you are not growing.
- 3:58You are not cultivating a level of yourself that you can sit
- 4:02there and be proud of. Right, Dottie?
- 4:05She's given all the all this advice here today.
- 4:08You got to focus on you. You got to be better at you.
- 4:11And you don't worry about other people.
- 4:13You don't think about those other things.
- 4:14You focus on what you need to for yourself.
- 4:18And when you start to see that and you start to actually tell
- 4:21yourself, I'm going to take interest in this.
- 4:24I'm going to take interest in myself, and I'm going to take
- 4:28interest in my life, and I'm going to take interest in these
- 4:31things, then boom, magic happens.
- 4:33Boom. Things change.
- 4:35So I'm gonna challenge you for, you know, this upcoming month,
- 4:40since we are in a new month, to really think about the level of
- 4:43interest you show in your own life, in your own way, and put
- 4:48together a plan for cultivating that interest and show and
- 4:52demonstrate how just how interested you are and how much
- 4:56you appreciate the stuff that you bring to the table and.
- 5:01Don't worry about what everybody else is doing.
- 5:03Take interest in yourself. And this does not mean that you
- 5:06don't ask other people how they're doing or, you know,
- 5:10cultivate your friendships. I'm not talking about that.
- 5:13I'm talking about the destructive things, about
- 5:16looking outside yourself for distractions, looking outside
- 5:19yourself for gossip, that kind of stuff.
- 5:21That's what the poison is, not taking genuine interest in your
- 5:26friends. That's a gift.
- 5:28All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day.
- 5:31Take immense interest in yourself and I will see you
- 5:33tomorrow. Bye.
