Day 4 Walking through Perilous Times "The Danger of a Dead Form"
"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof." This is the most frightening verse in the entire passage, not because it describes an atheist, but because it describes a churchgoer. Someone who knows the pew number, the order of service, the pastor's name, and has never, not once, experienced the transforming power of the Holy Ghost.
Day Four is the hardest devotional in this series because it asks the most uncomfortable question: Is your faith a living relationship or a religious performance?
