Emporia Honors Veterans with Golf & Plaque
Emporia, Kansas, is honoring its veteran roots with a big golf tournament and a new plaque for Alvin King, the man who inspired Veterans Day. The 25th annual All Veterans Golf Tournament rolls into town September 12th, offering fun, fellowship, and support for local veteran causes—all while celebrating the legacy of a local shoe shop owner whose vision changed how we honor every veteran. Donations are welcome for the plaque, and registration is open for just $70 per player (or less for members).
