  Speaker 1: born again, early in life, realized that that can't be

  Speaker 1: it because I've seen so many unhappy rich people. I've

  Speaker 1: seen so many unhappy people or families that had a lot,

  Speaker 1: that had houses, cars, whatever, and they were unhappy. So

  Speaker 1: when I saw that at an early age, I was like, so,

  Speaker 1: why aren't they happy? If this was all it was about?

  Speaker 1: If riches, fame, fortune, if that was what it was
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: all about, why aren't they happy?

  Speaker 1: I used to always ask that question, and I realized
• 3:24
  Speaker 1: early in life that that can't be it. Then the
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: people are all about what they were all about, and
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: it was supposed to get them to a place of satisfaction.

  Speaker 1: Then why aren't they satisfied? If it was supposed to
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: get people to a place of happiness, why aren't they happy?

  Speaker 1: If it was supposed to solve all their issues. Why
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: are they not solving issues?

  Speaker 1: If it was about you know, money could do anything

  Speaker 1: or possessions could do anything in this world for you,

  Speaker 1: If you think about it clearly, you start realizing, Wow,

  Speaker 1: word definitely way before people who are rich know about

  Speaker 1: anything about possessions, true possessions and what God is speaking of.

  Speaker 1: So first Timothy chapter the sixth verses seventeen and nineteen

  Speaker 1: might be an eye opener for you right today. And

  Speaker 1: if you apply this word to your life, you'll get
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: some freedom from something. Some shackles will be breaking off,

  Speaker 1: broken off because of this world, how the world tries

  Speaker 1: to paint riches and glory and fame and fortune and
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: influence and power right the way the world pays it
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: seems like that's the right place to be, that's the
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: right thing to do. But now we look at the

  Speaker 1: word and we'll be like, ah, nah, we were right.

  Speaker 2: God is right.

  Speaker 1: And there's nothing that compares to God's word when it

  Speaker 1: comes to possessions a man.

  Speaker 2: God wants us to have a full life, a whole life.

  Speaker 1: Right, he wants us to experience abundance on this side

  Speaker 1: out of eternity because on the other side we got

  Speaker 1: it all.

  Speaker 1: And technically, on this side, according to scriptures, we have

  Speaker 1: everything we need to live this life out in godliness

  Speaker 1: and righteousness and holiness.

  Speaker 1: And Jesus says he wants us to live not just

  Speaker 1: so life just scratching by getting by. He wants us

  Speaker 1: to live a life in abundance. Whatever that abundance is

  Speaker 1: for you, and whatever that abundance is for me might
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: be different, and it might not be exactly what you

  Speaker 1: thought about riches and possessions, and we're going to find

  Speaker 1: this world. Thank you, Jesus, that you have already explained

• 7:34
  Speaker 1: about riches, fame, fortune. It's not about what we see,

  Speaker 1: what we could have, what we could feel and understand

  Speaker 1: to be what's right. It's about what your word says,

  Speaker 1: Oh Jesus, the as Holy Spirit God, that you will
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: continue teach us and show us and guide us through
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: the path of life. Even if we're on a cricket path, at.

  Speaker 2: Least we're going somewhere.

  Speaker 1: And I pray Lord that on that crooked path you

  Speaker 1: that you renew, restore, redeem, and correct us when we

  Speaker 1: not to be proud and not to trust in their money.

  Speaker 1: So the apostle Paul is telling young Timothy the pastor

  Speaker 1: Can you imagine the humility that a rich person is

  Speaker 1: going to exercise when they see a person of the

  Speaker 1: Lord that might not have everything that they have, telling

  Speaker 1: them and teaching them how not to be proud and

  Speaker 1: not to trust in their money. Wow, but that's what

  Speaker 1: we're told to do. That's what Apostle Timothy is telling

  Speaker 1: young I mean, excuse me, Apostle Paul is telling young Timothy,

  Speaker 1: which is so unreliable? What's unreliable? God, No money is unreliable.

  Speaker 1: Let's get it right. Their trust should be in God,

  Speaker 1: who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.

  Speaker 1: Tell them to use their money to do good. Praise God.

  Speaker 1: They should be rich in good works and generous to

  Speaker 1: those in need, always being ready to share with others.

  Speaker 1: By doing this, they will be storing up their treasure

  Speaker 1: as a good foundation for the future, so that they

  Speaker 1: may experience here it is true life. True life is

  Speaker 1: not in the possessions. True life is not in the money.

  Speaker 1: True life is not pleasure and enjoyment the world the

  Speaker 1: way the world offers. But true life is when we

  Speaker 1: are doing good for others, when we use our finances

  Speaker 1: and our possessions and our money to do good. We

  Speaker 1: should be generous, amen to those who are in need.

  Speaker 1: And the other day I was confronted with this very issue.

  Speaker 1: I walk around sometimes thinking I don't have a lot,

  Speaker 1: But man, I had a whole lot for someone who
• 16:08
  Speaker 1: approached me the other day.

  Speaker 2: Amen.

  Speaker 1: And I even got a hug out of it because
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: this person was in need. Complete stranger. Didn't know this person.

  Speaker 1: But listen, if I'm going to talk to talk, I

  Speaker 1: need to walk to walk. And as soon as this
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: person approached me, I was like, Lord, got me. I
• 16:30
  Speaker 1: was tired.

  Speaker 2: I didn't have a lot.

  Speaker 1: I was like two and a half hours away from home,
• 16:38
  Speaker 1: had my family with me, my daughter and my wife,
• 16:42
  Speaker 1: and we were like in the middle of uncharted territory

  Speaker 1: where we don't know where we were, and this man
• 16:49
  Speaker 1: comes right up to me, right up to me, like
• 16:53
  Speaker 1: as if he knew me, explain the situation, and I
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: was able to help. So I used what I had

  Speaker 1: to do good. You could use what you have to
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: do good, and when you do that, you'll have a
• 17:12
  Speaker 1: firm foundation, a true foundation, and from there you would
• 17:16
  Speaker 1: experience true life. You have the scripture on it. Man,

  Speaker 1: we can't deny it. It is what it is. Hey man,

  Speaker 1: some people are going around thinking I don't have I
• 17:27
  Speaker 1: can't I can't do this because I don't have that.

  Speaker 2: That might be true.

  Speaker 1: You might not have what you think you're supposed to have,

  Speaker 1: but what you do have, use it for good and

  Speaker 1: watch how God, somehow miraculously happens all the time. Yes,

  Speaker 1: the bill's paid. I'm not saying don't do anything. Sit there,

  Speaker 1: sit home and read scriptures and just ask God to
• 17:49
  Speaker 1: PROVIDEE provide. He will provide for every single need. He

  Speaker 1: won't provide for every single want. At least that's my
• 17:56
  Speaker 1: point of view of it. My relationship with the Lord.

  Speaker 1: He he gives me everything I need and not everything

  Speaker 1: I want. I hope that's not, you know, troubling to

  Speaker 1: anybody out there. To me, it's a reality. It's a fact.

  Speaker 1: So you might be a little different, But overall, I

  Speaker 1: think we could all agree that everything we want we

  Speaker 1: don't get because God knows. If we get everything we

  Speaker 1: wanted right, we might create an idol. We might make

  Speaker 1: that possession and idol. We might make money and idol.

  Speaker 1: We might make that that whatever video game system and idol,
• 18:29
  Speaker 1: we might make our sound system idle. We might even
• 18:32
  Speaker 1: make our ministry in idol. We could even make our
• 18:35
  Speaker 1: children idols if we're not careful. So God knows what
• 18:38
  Speaker 1: he gives, and God knows why he takes things away.

  Speaker 1: He gives and he takes away, right, so we know
• 18:45
  Speaker 1: that we're in good hands. Godliness with contentment is great gain.

  Speaker 1: The Bible says First Timothy, chapter six, Versus six to nine.
