- 0:36Sean McAllister: That's all coming up on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:40Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, season seven, episode 304.
- 0:45Dayna Roselli: I feel like I can say season seven a couple more times before we put it to rest because I'm just so proud of being in our seventh season.
- 0:52Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli here, Sean McAllister.
- 0:55Sean McAllister: And uh, I'm proud too.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, good.
- 0:58Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, we have been so busy, you guys.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: We have been gathering content.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: Now, after the holidays, we realized, okay, we got a lot of stuff to go out and get for the TV show.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, from restaurant openings to shows, uh, to checking out some afternoon shows because we're gonna do a TV show that focuses on afternoon Vegas shows.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: We've had a lot of fun.
- 1:20Dayna Roselli: We're gonna have a lot of that stuff coming up on future episodes, but we did go visit Big Elvis over at Hera's.
- 1:26Sean McAllister: And let me tell you, that was slammed.
- 1:29Sean McAllister: It was we went over there on a Friday afternoon, and not only was the venue packed, but people were so into the show.
- 1:39Sean McAllister: They were like taking part and so excited to be there.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, it really was lovely to see.
- 1:44Dayna Roselli: They were dancing on the dance floor, slow dancing when he sang Love Me Tender.
- 1:49Dayna Roselli: Uh Pete Valley is great.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: We can't wait to share our interview with him in a future episode because he really is iconic here in Vegas.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: He was over at Barbary Coast before that closed.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: And um, he does a lot of shows at Hara's several times a day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays, and they're free.
- 2:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, and he has fans from around the world who make it a point to come to see his show when they're in town.
- 2:13Sean McAllister: So, I mean, Pete Big Elvis, he brings him in.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: He does bring him in.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: His voice is great.
- 2:20Dayna Roselli: We also went over to Popovich Pet Comedy over at the V Theater at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, another popular show that's at 2:30 in the afternoon, like five days a week.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: We're gonna tell you about that.
- 2:32Dayna Roselli: Um, but we did also hit up Egg Slut.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: And yes, you heard that right because a lot of people keep questioning on our TikTok.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: Like, wait, did I hear that right?
- 2:41Dayna Roselli: Did you say egg slot?
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: That's the name of the breakfast place.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Uh, it's very popular out of the Los Angeles area.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: We have one at Cosmopolitan, and now we have one at the Rio.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: And it's uh a really convenient location at the Rio, too.
- 2:54Sean McAllister: It's right off of the front lobby there.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: I now I will say when you go to the one in Cosmopolitan, like you do have to pull in, go to the parking garage.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: It can be a little difficult to get to, but Rio made it easy.
- 3:07Sean McAllister: It's right inside the front door.
- 3:09Sean McAllister: They have surface parking, so you can walk right in.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I guess the difference would be like if you were probably going to the one in the cosmopolitan, you're either staying there or you're doing your walk on the strip.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: You're visiting.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: But I think Rio is probably more accessible for locals.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: For locals, yeah.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, too.
- 3:24Sean McAllister: So I am a sucker for a good breakfast sandwich, and their sandwiches were so good.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: We had one and a half each.
- 3:31Sean McAllister: We did.
- 3:32Sean McAllister: We had the bacon, egg, and cheese, which was delicious.
- 3:35Sean McAllister: I love that one.
- 3:36Sean McAllister: And it's loaded with bacon too.
- 3:38Sean McAllister: Although I did just see when I was scrolling Instagram, I don't I haven't looked into this headline, but it said that like bacon is now classified as like a level two carcinogen or something.
- 3:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, they always say that's on the list of things not to eat.
- 3:52Sean McAllister: Oh, but it's so good.
- 3:53Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: But then I feel like it's not something you eat a lot unless you make it at home.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: Do you make it at home?
- 3:58Sean McAllister: I don't uh no seldom.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: And if I do, it's turkey bacon, and I do that in the air fryer.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: So it's fine.
- 4:04Sean McAllister: It gets all the stuff out of there.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: Um, so we did the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and then we split the uh scramble sandwich, and that was so good.
- 4:13Sean McAllister: We had some of their um French toast stick dippers.
- 4:18Sean McAllister: Those were good, and hash browns, and the hash browns were like perfectly salty.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: That was great.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: And the coffee the iced coffee was delicious.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: I did uh like more of a cinnamon.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: Cinnamon, because I didn't want it super sweet, and that was a non-dairy coffee.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: We had two.
- 4:35Sean McAllister: And I had the vanilla, and that was dairy.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it was great.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: So a good splurge moment.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: It was a good splurge moment.
- 4:45Sean McAllister: I deliberately put off eating breakfast at home because I knew we were going over there.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, sometimes you gotta do that, right?
- 4:51Sean McAllister: It was worth it.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Yes, it was worth it.
- 4:53Dayna Roselli: Didn't have to eat till dinner time.
- 4:54Sean McAllister: No, it's filling.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: So you have egg slut in the morning and you're good for the day.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was really good.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: So welcome.
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: And I think you, like you said, great location.
- 5:03Dayna Roselli: Um, I think it's a great addition to the Rio.
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: While we were over there, we actually interviewed the president of the Rio, Patrick Miller.
- 5:10Dayna Roselli: We'll have that on an upcoming episode as well, probably next week.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: Really interesting conversation.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: We know that we get a lot of questions about the Rio.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Like, you know, what are some of the improvements?
- 5:21Dayna Roselli: Are they bringing back this?
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: What new additions do they have?
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: Are all the rooms renovated?
- 5:26Dayna Roselli: All sorts of stuff.
- 5:27Dayna Roselli: So we talked to him about all of that and we will share that interview next week.
- 5:31Sean McAllister: Yeah, and he was very forthcoming with all of his answers too.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: Really was.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: We're excited to uh share with you what uh Patrick had to share with us.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: Uh, one of the other things that we went to uh was the opening of Jim Kana.
- 5:45Sean McAllister: This is an Indian restaurant that we've talked about here on the uh podcast before.
- 5:50Sean McAllister: It's open inside Aria right now.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: This is also just off of the lobby, uh, once you step inside the resort.
- 5:58Sean McAllister: And I mean the restaurant is absolutely stunning, but they had a big grand opening event and they built out this uh entryway as you walked in.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: They have a gym cana car in the classic Gym Cana green.
- 6:15Sean McAllister: Uh, and then we were I was surprised to see there were two peacocks who were brought in from Hollywood specifically for the opening of the restaurant.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and two white peacocks, which I thought was really pretty.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: So that was ex- that was so cool, and it's so they were so well behaved.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: Um, it was a great picture moment.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: Actually, on the way out.
- 6:37Dayna Roselli: Well, I think I was with you on the way out, and they were like, anyone want any last-minute pictures of people?
- 6:43Sean McAllister: Peacocks gotta go home.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: The peacocks, they gotta head home to LA.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: They were so well behaved, though, and they were posing perfectly for all the photos that people were taking.
- 6:52Sean McAllister: Yeah, that was Lychee and oh, I don't remember the other one's name.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Oh wow, you got names?
- 6:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, I got names.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: I didn't get that far.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, they were, but they were great.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: They were sort of, I guess if you need peacocks, someone in LA is renting them out.
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, true.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: The restaurant was stunning.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: They had like a lot of different past bites, and all of them had a caviar twist.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: There was a caviar cone, there was a caviar lobster bite on the canopy is going around, yeah.
- 7:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: And then um great wine and drinks.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: Um, it was packed.
- 7:24Dayna Roselli: The it's a Michelin-starred restaurant um from London, and the family came out from London.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: You could tell there were a lot of friends and family that knew each other, a lot of celebrities there too, which we'll mention a little later in our Vegas celebrity news with a twist.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: Um, coming up in a little bit.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: But yeah, we can't wait to go and people keep asking me, how was the food?
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: Um, it wasn't that type of party.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: It was just past bites.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: We didn't have really any of the food that they serve, I don't think, or for sit-down anyway.
- 7:52Sean McAllister: But the the bites that we had, I I thought were delicious.
- 7:57Sean McAllister: But to actually sit down for a meal, we need to go back and do that and share a sit-down experience with you uh once we do that.
- 8:06Sean McAllister: But again, the restaurant, absolutely stunning inside.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: Um, and we're lucky and happy to have it here in Vegas.
- 8:14Dayna Roselli: Yes, very it's uh all the buzz.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: I heard you have to make two month-out reservations.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: Yes, so plan in advance.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: In advance.
- 8:23Sean McAllister: Even if you think you're planning a trip to Vegas, just get that reservation on the books and plan your trip around it.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Indian food is so good.
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, uh a quick update to a restaurant that we covered in our Chinatown episode, where we told you about the hundreds and hundreds of restaurants they have over there.
- 8:41Dayna Roselli: But one of them that we stopped at, Glus, is uh now open uh another location in the southwest part of the valley.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: So they have the Chinatown and now they've expanded uh to West Sunset Road.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: And we just want to let you know because they're really popular for their sandos.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, and these are the Japanese style sandwiches.
- 9:01Sean McAllister: Uh the one that they've become really famous for is their egg salad sandwich.
- 9:06Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 9:07Sean McAllister: And that all stems from uh these egg salad sandwiches that you can buy at 7-Eleven in Japan.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: And I guess people who go over there are go crazy for the Japanese egg salad sandwiches from 7-Eleven.
- 9:22Sean McAllister: Well, Gyu has done their own version of that and they've elevated it.
- 9:27Sean McAllister: And uh the sandwiches are delicious.
- 9:30Sean McAllister: We went, we stopped in there to, as you mentioned, Dana, for that Chinatown episode that we did, and had uh a few, we had their chicken katsu uh sando, uh, they had a beef sando and the egg salad that we tried, and all were so good.
- 9:48Sean McAllister: They what makes it really cool, there's this little pipette of uh like a jus that's different for each sandwich, and they just stick the little pipette in there, and then you squeeze out as much of the sauce as you want for uh each bite that you take.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:06Dayna Roselli: And they make the bread there, I think they told us, don't they?
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Yes, and they've whenever they run out, they're done for the day, and that's why people line up early.
- 10:12Sean McAllister: And they've since opened uh they've opened uh their own bakery where they bake their own milk bread.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: Uh so it's they've got the whole operation going on.
- 10:23Sean McAllister: They they were a good bunch of people over there at Giu.
- 10:27Sean McAllister: So glad to see them expanding.
- 10:29Sean McAllister: And they say their their lunch rush is a rush and they do sell out.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: Definitely demand, right?
- 10:37Dayna Roselli: Um, also on uh, well, since we're talking about southwest part of Las Vegas, let's just quickly mention we we've talked about Durango expanding, Durango uh resort and casino, so popular in the southwest part of the town.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: It's uh station casinos, but we did just learn that they are getting kind of like a honky tonk.
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: It's called Moonshine Flats, and it's based out of San Diego, and it's all part of their expansion.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: We had told you that they're they mentioned they're um adding a lot of different types of entertainment venues and and things and attractions, and and they announced this as one of them.
- 11:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh that's gonna be so popular because do you remember back in the day when Green Valley Ranch, just uh this is another station casino property, different part of town.
- 11:20Sean McAllister: It's in Green Valley, as the name suggests.
- 11:23Sean McAllister: Yeah, they had a a nightclub called Whiskey Beach that was I I used to go there just about every single weekend, yeah, and it was like off the chain.
- 11:35Sean McAllister: Crazy, so much fun.
- 11:37Sean McAllister: And I I feel like there haven't been a lot of off-strip nightlife spots that have really become really popular and have caught on with a a younger crowd, and I feel like that's exactly what this is going to do.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: Well, and I think I do think there is one, and that's Bel Air Lounge.
- 12:00Sean McAllister: Well, exactly.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: And so at the same location.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: So you're right.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: There, I mean, this is just gonna make it even better.
- 12:05Dayna Roselli: People who love their country music, their line dancing, love to watch live music and bands.
- 12:09Dayna Roselli: This is gonna be different than Bel Air.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: So now you've got that pack.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: That's very popular on Ladies' Night, Bel Air.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Um, and then now you've got Moonshine Flat.
- 12:18Dayna Roselli: Well, not yet, but it's coming soon, or I don't know how soon, but sometime when it's done.
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: It's in the future.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: It's in the future.
- 12:25Dayna Roselli: Uh, I mean, combining both of those, it's gonna be but but I think that's what you're saying is right.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: I think Bel Air is kind of the only other comparison of a whiskey beach.
- 12:34Sean McAllister: It is, and that's popularity.
- 12:36Sean McAllister: It's like a more elevated, ultra loungy kind of kind of vibe.
- 12:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and patio in the in the uh, you know, when it's warm enough out.
- 12:44Sean McAllister: And it opens to the pool.
- 12:46Sean McAllister: Um, so yeah, I think between having Bel Air and Moonshine Flats, yeah, Durango is going to be uh the spot where people go off the strip for sure.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 12:59Sean McAllister: It already is.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: If it isn't already right, yeah, yeah.
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: They did build that second parking garage and it's nice and big.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: And so they are anticipating, they know what they're doing, they know they will build it and people will come.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: Well, I mean, look at when they I don't and they weren't even planning on expanding this soon because they've been open what three years now, two years.
- 13:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: Um, they weren't planning on expanding, but they have it's been so popular.
- 13:26Sean McAllister: The property has just been such a magnet for people who live in the southwest part of town, but also people who live in other parts of town are going there as a a destination off the strip.
- 13:40Sean McAllister: And they've had to meet the demand and you know, expand early.
- 13:44Sean McAllister: And that's a good problem to have.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 13:47Dayna Roselli: Congratulations to them.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: They got a lot of big things coming up this year.
- 13:50Dayna Roselli: I know that.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: So we'll continue to cover that.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: Hey, we went to see comedians Nikki Glacer and David Spade at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace.
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: They did two shows recently.
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: They'll be back Memorial Day and Labor Day.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: Uh, we I did see them.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: You didn't see them at the uh when they were at the Venetian, but now they've moved over to Caesars.
- 14:08Dayna Roselli: Um, what'd you think?
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: Because this was your first time seeing them.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: I thought Nikki was hilarious.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: David was so funny, too.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: I mean, they're just a great duo, but so different.
- 14:18Sean McAllister: Very different comedy styles, very different in their delivery.
- 14:22Sean McAllister: But I thought I for me, I thought Nikki like knocked it out of the park.
- 14:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, she is just so funny.
- 14:31Sean McAllister: Obviously, she is just on fire right now.
- 14:35Sean McAllister: Um, you know, I she kind of she's been in the comedy world for a long time, but it was really when she started making appearances on those roast uh TV specials, that really uh got her in the pop culture zeitgeist.
- 14:52SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 14:52Sean McAllister: And now, after just hosting the Golden Globes, she came right off of that stage in Hollywood to the Coliseum stage here in Las Vegas, and she just she was firing on all cylinders.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: She never stopped either.
- 15:06Sean McAllister: No, she didn't.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: But David, his bit on getting pulled over and telling the truth was so funny, and his bit on um trying to find a girl and tell her to go up to your room in Vegas is hard when you stay at those big hotels because you're like me at room two, three, five, six, nine, eight, four, three, two, one.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: Go up the elevator and turn it.
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: But I want to give away all their jokes because they did not allow, you know, video to be shot.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: Obviously, they don't like their jokes out there.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: So, but um, just both of them.
- 15:36Dayna Roselli: Hilarious.
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: Now, Nikki comes out first.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: Uh, they actually have a uh someone open for them, and then he was funny too.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: He was good, yeah.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: And I forget his name, but um, Nikki was great, and then uh David came out.
- 15:46Dayna Roselli: So um I think you know, and people say, Oh, I thought this, or just like we're discussing, like I thought David was a little funnier last time.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: But I mean, this is the world of comedy, right?
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: You've got to come up with new jokes, you gotta try out new things, you change up your sets.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: A lot of times people will go to comedians and go, Well, I saw them last time and they did the same jokes.
- 16:02Dayna Roselli: It's like, well, then let them try out new stuff and understand that they're gonna work it out, take some out, add some new ones.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: And so I thought they were great.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: They were.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: It's it is a great evening of comedy.
- 16:14Sean McAllister: So if you're gonna be in town for uh their upcoming holiday performances, uh I would suggest it.
- 16:22Sean McAllister: It just made for such a fun evening.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: I laughed really I like my face hurt the next day.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: So funny.
- 16:30Sean McAllister: Because one of our friends, Claudine, who who I went with, like we were dying in our chairs.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: So funny.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: Don't wear shorts and wear sit in the front row.
- 16:41Sean McAllister: No, do not.
- 16:42Dayna Roselli: That's all I'm gonna say.
- 16:47Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: Well, um, let's move over to uh the Westgate.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: Just gonna quickly mention, I know you went to the Elvis Aloha event and that was fun.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: Travis Powell.
- 16:58Sean McAllister: Travis Powell, he's a world-renowned uh Elvis impersonator.
- 17:03Sean McAllister: Uh, he's been doing these series of shows over at Westgate that recreate some of Elvis's most iconic performances.
- 17:13Sean McAllister: The latest one was uh 1973 Live, which was the uh concert that was broadcast via satellite to like one and a half billion people around the world back when via satellite was like a newfangled thing.
- 17:30Sean McAllister: I love it, it was the only way to get your live stuff.
- 17:33Sean McAllister: Uh so he recreated that concert on stage inside the Westgate, and it was great.
- 17:40Sean McAllister: Travis is a terrific performer, it was an evening of Elvis.
- 17:45Sean McAllister: People were running up to the stage, like in true Elvis Mania, and like trying to give their lay to uh Elvis up on stage, and it was almost every song.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: People were rushing down the aisles.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: It was, I mean, it was kind of fun to see people really get into the whole uh Elvis uh fandom over there.
- 18:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, really well done, lots of exhibits throughout the property.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: They had some uh Hawaiian uh drum and dancer uh crews who are out there in the lobby to get people all amped up.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: So that was a that was really fun.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you know, we're excited because on February 10th, we're seeing the film epic Elvis Presley in concert, way before it's even released.
- 18:33Dayna Roselli: We're going to the Westgate, and people are just dying to see this concert concert film, I me included, and you.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: And we keep seeing the trailer, and it just it looks so darn good.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: This is you know the while they were making the other Elvis movie, they came up with so much uh footage that had never been seen before, and a lot of it, Elvis actually speaking in his own words, and apparently they've compiled it into this film, and I'm just dying to see there hasn't been a lot out there.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: You can find a few Elvis documentaries, but it's kind of the same stuff over and over.
- 19:09Sean McAllister: Well, they torture the same people, yeah.
- 19:11Sean McAllister: It's like people talking about Elvis, but this is gonna be Elvis it sound it looks like it's Elvis in his own words, talking about this time in his career when he had this record-breaking run of shows over at the then international uh theater.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: It's now it's still the international theater, but the property is the Westgate.
- 19:35Sean McAllister: Um and it's just gonna be so interesting to s hear and see from Elvis's perspective that whole era.
- 19:43Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: That and I I do think the footage is gonna be interesting because think about the pictures that we see of Elvis.
- 19:49Dayna Roselli: It's the same ones over and over, right?
- 19:51Dayna Roselli: He lived a very long, you know, short life.
- 19:54Dayna Roselli: Short life should have been short, but you know, his career, and we do see a lot of the same photos, a lot of the same casual rare footage.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: It like it's rare to see tons of footage.
- 20:06SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: So I'm really curious what we're gonna be able to see here.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: And like you said, here in his own words.
- 20:11Dayna Roselli: So we'll have more on that because we we know we're gonna go on and on after that uh preview.
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: We'll be able to talk about it more before you have an opportunity to go see it.
- 20:20Dayna Roselli: I think it's kicking off an IMAX on February 20th, and then and then it releases normal.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: But and uh it's just gonna be, I don't know.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be great.
- 20:30Sean McAllister: And this is a another film by Baz Luhrmann same director who did the Elvis movie um uh prior.
- 20:37Sean McAllister: Uh that was obviously like with a cast.
- 20:41Sean McAllister: Um, this is he says this is more than a documentary, it's more than a concert film, it's an entire experience.
- 20:51Sean McAllister: And really, in the first footage that's been put out, the way, I mean, the crystal clarity of the of the footage just looks like it's gonna be amazing.
- 21:00Sean McAllister: I I could go on and on about this.
- 21:02SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the anticipation, right?
- 21:03Sean McAllister: But we're we'll spare you the anticipation and we'll get into it in depth once we actually see it.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 21:09Dayna Roselli: Hey, uh, quick paid parking discussion.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: Uh we say quick, it could go on for a while, but um I wanted to mention really before we get into the paid parking idea that we have.
- 21:20Dayna Roselli: Um after uh David and Nikki, uh, we went to, I forgot to tell everyone, I went back to Water Grill after because we just wanted a little something, my friend and I.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: And I just want to remind everyone the clam chowder there's amazing.
- 21:34Dayna Roselli: It's sixteen dollars.
- 21:35Dayna Roselli: You get a big bowl.
- 21:36Dayna Roselli: Um, it's delicious, it's so good.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: And they actually have the clams in there.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: They give you a bowl, uh, some clams in there that you know that are already in the soup, but then some that are actually in the show.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then you get um like a little bag of you know, the crackers, oyster crackers, and then they bring out three pieces of like this amazing uh sourdough bread.
- 21:57Dayna Roselli: It for 16 bucks, it's worth it, and you'll That's crazy.
- 22:01Dayna Roselli: I'm telling you.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: So water grill.
- 22:03Dayna Roselli: But FYI.
- 22:04Sean McAllister: And that's over in the forum shops.
- 22:06Sean McAllister: Forum shops.
- 22:07Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: Right there as you enter the forum shops from right after you pass uh Vanderpump.
- 22:11Sean McAllister: Right.
- 22:12Sean McAllister: Right at the beginning.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: On the right hand side.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: The old spago.
- 22:14Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: If you ever, you know, remember going there.
- 22:17Dayna Roselli: Um, but uh point is we were checking out and I was like, oh, in five minutes, our three-hour locals parking expires.
- 22:25Dayna Roselli: And then I realized that it was well, when I went to check out and it wasn't taking my license, and then I rang the button and they were like, oh, um, it's not free.
- 22:36Dayna Roselli: But I guess on the weekends I thought it was still the three hours.
- 22:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:40Dayna Roselli: And apparently it's not when there's a special event.
- 22:42Dayna Roselli: I don't know what the special event was, and I don't know if they consider a show at the Coliseum a special event, which kind of frustrated me because I was like, you know, what were the days before, like shows were just a part of the fabric of this town.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: It wasn't a special event.
- 22:55Sean McAllister: I that special event pricing really grinds my gears.
- 23:00Sean McAllister: It really does.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: So um it was$35 and we ran out of water grill where we could have sat and they said he said, Do you want dessert?
- 23:08Dayna Roselli: We kind of both looked.
- 23:09Dayna Roselli: So we probably would have ordered dessert, we probably would have gotten some coffee, we probably would have, you know, stayed a little longer.
- 23:16Dayna Roselli: Um, but you know, they got our 35 bucks.
- 23:18Dayna Roselli: No big deal.
- 23:19Dayna Roselli: Like it's not the end of the world.
- 23:21Dayna Roselli: But then it took so long to get out of there, even though we left about 45 minutes after the show, it was all backed up.
- 23:27Dayna Roselli: It took a long time.
- 23:29Dayna Roselli: So just another frustration.
- 23:31Dayna Roselli: Um, but I just wanted people to be clear about that because I do think information is everything so that you don't leave frustrated.
- 23:38Dayna Roselli: Well, and then sit and talk about it like I am in a negative way.
- 23:43Sean McAllister: Because you could have had a lovely evening, but when frustration is the last emotion that you're left with, that's what sticks with you.
- 23:52Dayna Roselli: I know, it really does.
- 23:53Sean McAllister: And it's unfortunate.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: It is unfortunate.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: And I just think a sign that says special of like even to know, then I would have been like, okay, great, we're paying anyway.
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: Let's go walk around the form shops.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: Or let's go, you know what I mean?
- 24:06Dayna Roselli: Like, I don't know.
- 24:07Dayna Roselli: And people say, well, you were gonna, you paid to eat and blah, blah, blah.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: But like, I'm getting something for my money.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:13Dayna Roselli: You're just holding my car at a place that I used to be able to park for free.
- 24:18Dayna Roselli: So, um, anyway, listen, it's all part of it.
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: Um, it's part of our business.
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: We go, we cover events, we do things in Vegas, and it's fine.
- 24:27Dayna Roselli: But I do like people that listen to know because I do think it's important information to have.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Because I don't want everyone running around frustrated.
- 24:35Dayna Roselli: It might be something that you might ask before you go, or if you see one of those attendants waving you in, you say, Hey, is parking, you know, the three hours saying, Oh no, it's special event.
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: Like just to let people know.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: Well, it's good to, I mean, it's it's all just knowing what you're walking into.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 24:52Sean McAllister: And not having a surprise after the fact and being like, whoa, where'd that come from?
- 24:57Dayna Roselli: So then we went uh before that to the Miracle Mile shops, who they never have locals parking.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: So it's just you pay to park regardless.
- 25:04Dayna Roselli: We went on a shoot to cover a story of our choice in the afternoon, and um we noticed it was like one hour free?
- 25:13Sean McAllister: Uh one hour free.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: Then 18.
- 25:15Sean McAllister: 18 for hours two and three, correct.
- 25:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then it goes up again like to 20 founding.
- 25:21Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: But we had this idea.
- 25:23Sean McAllister: I think this is a great idea.
- 25:24Dayna Roselli: Because I was like, everyone run, you have one hour free.
- 25:26Dayna Roselli: What are you doing?
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: Running in to exchange something or buy a pair of sneakers?
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: Like, that's not that kind of mall.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: No, it's huge, and there's restaurants, and so we said, why don't these people do paid parking at the beginning and then like hour three is free.
- 25:48Sean McAllister: Hour three is free.
- 25:50Dayna Roselli: So that when you're walking around, you're like, let's stay another hour because hour three is free.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Then you get them in there longer and they're like, let's have lunch.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: Pay for lunch, let's go shopping.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: I think it would work out much, much better than the way that they have it now.
- 26:08Sean McAllister: I like the idea of encouraging people to stay on property longer with the incentive of a free hour of parking, because what's happening now is you get people in there, and I know I watch the clock to see when my when my parking is gonna be up.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: Uh-huh.
- 26:29Sean McAllister: I mean, it's just like when you're in downtown and you re if you're having a good time somewhere, like you're not gonna leave, run out and feed the meter, or I know you can do a lot of things on the app right now and reload, but that's just to be honest, it's a pain in the ass.
- 26:49Sean McAllister: It is, it is, and I would rather just cut the night off and leave than have to deal with a pain in the ass.
- 26:57Dayna Roselli: Agree.
- 26:58Dayna Roselli: So I I think a lot of people feel that way.
- 27:03Dayna Roselli: And so pay me to stay longer, and I might give me an incentive to stay longer.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: Not pay me, but yeah, give me an incentive, save me money to stay longer, or validate.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, true.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: Validate that's a good one, too.
- 27:17Sean McAllister: Create a parking club, yeah, like a punch ticket.
- 27:21Sean McAllister: Give me a digital punch ticket, and and then I'll log on to my phone.
- 27:25Dayna Roselli: Well, you and I walked in the Miracle Mile shops, and I just to be honest, uh, we go, oh wow, like there were a lot of new things, and we thought we don't go there much anymore because as a local, I'm not paying$18 to shop or go to lunch.
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: Why would I?
- 27:40Dayna Roselli: No, I'm not so it's hard, it's hard, but um listen, I don't know.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: Who are we?
- 27:47Sean McAllister: I used to park down in the basement of that garage.
- 27:51Sean McAllister: Down in like a I don't know, I don't even know if it was like legit parking.
- 27:56Sean McAllister: I mean, there were parking spots, but there was like a little nook down in the basement.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: You know how there's like the Miracle Mile Valet that you can go to?
- 28:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it was like down kind of around the corner somewhere in there.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:10Sean McAllister: That was a good little spot.
- 28:12Sean McAllister: I don't even think you can get to it now.
- 28:14Dayna Roselli: Well, um, hey, we're getting a big uh college football playoff national championship next year, aren't we?
- 28:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, my sister has been uh blowing up my phone about this uh ever since they announced it.
- 28:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 28:30Sean McAllister: And uh it's obviously uh top of mind right now because we just had the college championship and they had a little ceremony to build excitement for next year's college championship happening here in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.
- 28:45Sean McAllister: But uh I know there are a lot of people who are excited about m building a Las Vegas trip around this game.
- 28:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal, right?
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: January 25th, 2027, if you want to mark it on your calendar.
- 29:00Dayna Roselli: Um they announced it in Miami.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah, right.
- 29:04Dayna Roselli: And um, it's gonna be a big deal.
- 29:06Dayna Roselli: And it'll be the first time, right, that we'll have that at Allegiant Stadium.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: Allegiant's still so new.
- 29:10Dayna Roselli: We had the Super Bowl, but now we're having the national championship.
- 29:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, so it's gonna be exciting.
- 29:14Sean McAllister: I know uh, you know, my sister wants to know the second tickets go on sale.
- 29:19Sean McAllister: We don't know a date yet when tickets are going on sale, but um you can go on the uh there's a Visit Las Vegas website, they have a page dedicated to uh the national championship game that's coming up next year uh on January 25th is the date.
- 29:40Sean McAllister: So regardless, whether your team, your college team, makes it all the way.
- 29:46Sean McAllister: Congratulations to Indiana, by the way.
- 29:49Sean McAllister: What a what a game with Miami uh for Indiana to win their very first national championship.
- 29:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, which is strange to me.
- 29:57Sean McAllister: I would have thought that they would have great at basketball, but their football program Okay, maybe that's what I'm thinking.
- 30:03Sean McAllister: Yes, yeah, because Bobby Knight, remember, he would always throw the chairs.
- 30:07Dayna Roselli: That was great.
- 30:08Sean McAllister: That was good, that was a good era of college basketball.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: That's when you we grew up with uh in in New York watching Syracuse and Jim Beheim and the watch the orange, Otto the Orange.
- 30:23Dayna Roselli: We have a lot to keep talking about, so let's move on real quick.
- 30:26Dayna Roselli: The uh sphere, sorry, I was just thinking like wow, I just looked at the rundown of stuff.
- 30:31Dayna Roselli: Um, the sphere is uh apparently adding another sphere, but not as big as ours.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, uh in talks anyway, and in getting ready to prepare to possibly build a sphere venue at the National Harbor in Maryland, right there near Washington, D.C.
- 30:49Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be like a mini sphere, 6,000 seats.
- 30:53Dayna Roselli: And it's interesting because we haven't heard like of another spot in the United States yet until now.
- 30:58Dayna Roselli: So we'll have to keep an eye on that.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 31:01Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 31:02Sean McAllister: And there's of course, they already announced uh that they were going to build another sphere in the United Arab Emirates.
- 31:10Sean McAllister: So that project is moving forward.
- 31:12Sean McAllister: And from the time that they announced uh the sphere here in Vegas, like their vision from the get-go was to have a series, uh a network of spheres across the country, around the world, where they could show off the content that they're now showing off here in Las Vegas for the first time.
- 31:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 31:34Dayna Roselli: I don't like, I mean, I like when that we have the sphere and nobody else does.
- 31:38Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna ride that coattail and ride that wave.
- 31:40Sean McAllister: We can we can ride the wave.
- 31:42Sean McAllister: I know that there's a lot of regulatory stuff that needs to some hurdles that need to be cleared before National Harbor really uh even gets a groundbreaking.
- 31:53Sean McAllister: But um, you know, I think we are still will we will always be the first.
- 31:58Dayna Roselli: Yes, we will always be the first.
- 32:00Dayna Roselli: And it just reminded me, we got something in our inbox today.
- 32:02Dayna Roselli: Kenny Chesney added more shows to his residency at the Sphere, so FYI.
- 32:06Sean McAllister: And also, uh Wizard of Oz has now sold two million tickets at Sphere Las Vegas.
- 32:14Sean McAllister: Crazy.
- 32:15Dayna Roselli: So crazy, right?
- 32:16Sean McAllister: So good.
- 32:17Dayna Roselli: I mean, we have had so when we, you know, that whole trend of digging down into 2016 has made me kind of sad lately because I realized like I just feel like it was a little bit more of a carefree life.
- 32:28Sean McAllister: Oh, throwing back to 2016?
- 32:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, how everyone's posting pictures of 2016 and everyone keeps saying, gosh, what was it?
- 32:34Dayna Roselli: It was such a different time.
- 32:36Dayna Roselli: Um, and I saw like a little quote I might share actually on my Instagram story, I was thinking like, um, where it just says like it was a different time because we didn't care about aesthetics as much.
- 32:47Dayna Roselli: It was very uh much more, even just 10 years, more of a carefree lifestyle on social media.
- 32:54Dayna Roselli: Now everything needs to be filtered and this and that.
- 32:57Dayna Roselli: And I was looking at some of my pictures, and even a friend of mine who wasn't friends with me 10 years ago said, Boy, you just looked, it's like you and your friends, like you didn't care.
- 33:06Dayna Roselli: The pictures are so carefree and fun.
- 33:08Dayna Roselli: You're laughing, you're, you know, quick turnaround and a quick snap of a picture, not a whole big to-do.
- 33:15Dayna Roselli: And then um also I Vegas related is where I moving this into because I noticed like Top Golf opened in 2016, T-Mobile Arena opened in 2016, and I was like, wow, 2016 was really an iconic moment for Vegas as well.
- 33:29Dayna Roselli: A lot of stuff happened um around town.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: There was more, there were more things, but I can't think.
- 33:35Sean McAllister: But I know that seeing the uh T-Mobile, because I was out there at the the ribbon cutting with the killers, they were out there as part of the whole ceremony.
- 33:44Sean McAllister: They did the opening night uh concert inside T-Mobile.
- 33:49Sean McAllister: That really was yeah, it was fun.
- 33:52Sean McAllister: That was great.
- 33:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I remember I worked at channel 13 at the time.
- 33:55Dayna Roselli: We were live outside and like broadcasting, and it was it was fun.
- 33:59Dayna Roselli: Um, and that was before Allegiant Stadium even existed.
- 34:03Sean McAllister: It is, you know, because T Mobile, yeah.
- 34:05Dayna Roselli: It was a big deal for us to get an arena on the strip.
- 34:08Sean McAllister: On the strip, yeah.
- 34:09Sean McAllister: That was 2016 was a really good year.
- 34:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I think a lot of people are really talking about that whole that trend has really brought back a lot of put a lot of things in perspective.
- 34:19Dayna Roselli: Like, huh?
- 34:20Dayna Roselli: I did a lot of things, and also I kind of kept a lot, like a little bit more to myself.
- 34:26Dayna Roselli: Like you put out a picture or two, and you do like more friend group pictures now.
- 34:31Dayna Roselli: Like it's like you don't post a friend group picture after something because it's gotta be this solo shot of yourself kicking your leg up and something.
- 34:41Sean McAllister: It's gotta be like social media up.
- 34:43Sean McAllister: The the whole idea of social media now is so contrived and like following the trend rather than just doing your own thing.
- 34:52unknown: I know.
- 34:53Dayna Roselli: All right, it's time for celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 34:55Dayna Roselli: You ready?
- 34:59Dayna Roselli: Sean, I wanted to ask you as you were talking about the Aloha Elvis, you said Linda Thompson was there in the audience.
- 35:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, Linda Thompson, uh, who had a relationship with Elvis for years.
- 35:10Sean McAllister: Uh, she was there in the audience along with uh several other people who had personal connections with Elvis.
- 35:18Sean McAllister: Um, and so it was it was nice to see that uh these people are showing up to honor the legacy of such an incredible performer.
- 35:31Dayna Roselli: And they all have such interesting stories.
- 35:33Dayna Roselli: And I mean, Linda Thompson's Brody Jenner's mother.
- 35:36Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 35:37Dayna Roselli: If people didn't know that, because we were talking with someone else that I didn't realize that Linda Thompson was married to or with Bruce Jenner at one point.
- 35:48Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 35:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 35:49Dayna Roselli: Now Caitlin.
- 35:50Dayna Roselli: But um, but anyway, so uh you dive down, give her a Google if you don't know who she is.
- 35:55Dayna Roselli: But she's actually uh has a long history and a long career.
- 35:59Dayna Roselli: Um, nice lady, nice woman.
- 36:01Dayna Roselli: I've met her once before as well.
- 36:03Dayna Roselli: Um, Wild Things is filming in Las Vegas, and this is a big deal because it's a TV series about Siegfried and Roy, and this will be the big first since they passed um series based on them.
- 36:20Dayna Roselli: And we know like not only who's playing Siegfried and Roy, but even more.
- 36:24Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 36:25Sean McAllister: Uh we have Andrew Garfield playing uh one of the title characters, Jude Law is also uh I believe Jude Law is Siegfried, and Andrew Garfield is Roy.
- 36:38Dayna Roselli: Yes, for sure, because we saw pictures on TMZ, right?
- 36:41Sean McAllister: TMZ posted pictures of them in full costume.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Jude does not even look, you can't be unrecognizable.
- 36:47Sean McAllister: I mean, whatever prosthetics they used on him, he looks like Siegfried for sure.
- 36:54SPEAKER_01: I think Siegfried would be proud.
- 36:56Sean McAllister: He would be proud, he would approve.
- 36:58Sean McAllister: Uh Justin Thoreau is playing Steve Wynne interesting in the project.
- 37:03Sean McAllister: And obviously, Steve Wynne is responsible for uh well, Steve Wynne built the Mirage, and that's where Siegfried and Roy they had a long history in Las Vegas, but that's really where they became the signature act in Las Vegas of the era.
- 37:21Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, what a story this is gonna be.
- 37:23Dayna Roselli: I I can't wait for it.
- 37:25Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be great.
- 37:26Dayna Roselli: And Wild Things is the name of it, and it's based on what a podcast series that's already out there, right?
- 37:31Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, it's based on an Apple podcast called, also called Wild Things.
- 37:36Sean McAllister: Um, I think there's probably like eight episodes of that uh podcast, and that's what this uh mini-series uh on Apple is is going to be as well, just a limited series, multiple episodes, so not a full movie, like we kind of originally thought when we first heard about the project.
- 37:54Sean McAllister: Um, so it'll be interesting.
- 37:56Sean McAllister: I'm excited to, and I have not listened to the podcast yet, but I'm but I want to.
- 38:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 38:01Sean McAllister: And that's on my list.
- 38:03Dayna Roselli: There's so much stuff being filmed here in Las Vegas.
- 38:06Dayna Roselli: So another sighting.
- 38:07Dayna Roselli: So that was a sighting for TMZ posted some pictures.
- 38:11Dayna Roselli: Um, but also Andrew Garfield uh went to see Penn and Teller, and I thought that was a great picture that they posted, and so that's out there.
- 38:20Dayna Roselli: So um, you know, Penn Penn and Teller are obviously very famous magicians here in Las Vegas, too.
- 38:25Dayna Roselli: So I don't know if the he went to meet them, if he went to learn some things about them, if he went to chat with them about Siegfried and Roy or whatever that might be.
- 38:32Dayna Roselli: But the picture's on um Penn and Teller's Instagram.
- 38:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I think that's cool.
- 38:38Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 38:38Sean McAllister: That he stopped over to um uh see their show and hang out with them uh backstage too.
- 38:46Sean McAllister: Uh by the way, Penn uh broke his ankle, so we're wishing him a speedy uh recovery, and hopefully he'll be able to get back to the stage um as quickly as possible uh once he's all healed up.
- 38:59Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 39:00Sean McAllister: Because that's not fun.
- 39:00Dayna Roselli: No, it's not.
- 39:01Dayna Roselli: And if you had tickets to that show, you'll have to reschedule uh until he's back.
- 39:06Dayna Roselli: I think they were saying could be out for like two months or something like that.
- 39:11Sean McAllister: That's not a quick thing to recover from.
- 39:14Sean McAllister: But this is the 50th anniversary that Penn and Teller are celebrating in entertainment together.
- 39:19Dayna Roselli: Yes, big deal.
- 39:20Dayna Roselli: And 25, I think, years at the Rio.
- 39:22Sean McAllister: At the Rio, yeah.
- 39:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Patrick Miller next week when we share his interview, um, he talked about that too.
- 39:27Dayna Roselli: Um, okay, Hax is shooting uh in town too.
- 39:30Dayna Roselli: Um they talked about that at the Golden Globes that they have been shooting, but I think the Vegas part or the Vegas shoot and Vegas filming is happening around this time.
- 39:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, so they'll do, you know, they'll do whatever Las Vegas scenes they need to do while they're in town, and then you know, go back to go back to the sound stage to finish everything else up.
- 39:51Sean McAllister: But this is the third and final season.
- 39:54Dayna Roselli: So I didn't realize it was final.
- 39:56Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 39:56Dayna Roselli: I didn't know that they had said that this will be the final, but then they were talking like that at the globes, and I was like, oh, I had no idea.
- 40:03Sean McAllister: I know it's such a good show.
- 40:04Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 40:05Sean McAllister: That I am so glad for Gene Smart that she is getting so many accolades and flowers for what she has done on this series because she is just so she's great.
- 40:19Dayna Roselli: She really is, she's so funny, and she just won again the Golden Globe.
- 40:22Dayna Roselli: She did.
- 40:23Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 40:23Dayna Roselli: Um, I was just looking at Brandon's name, thinking I don't know how to say his last name for this next bit.
- 40:28Dayna Roselli: Sklinner.
- 40:30Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 40:30Dayna Roselli: I just look at him and I drool, so like his last name means nothing to me.
- 40:34Dayna Roselli: He's a very handsome actor.
- 40:38Dayna Roselli: Anyway, he just uh I happen to follow him on Instagram because he's so handsome.
- 40:42Dayna Roselli: No, he's a great actor too.
- 40:43Dayna Roselli: He was in uh It Ends With Us, a lot of things with um 1923, 43.
- 40:49Sean McAllister: Oh, 1923, yes, the prequel to Yellowstone.
- 40:52Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 40:53Dayna Roselli: Um, he just announced a new film that he's in called Vegas, a love story, and it says in the article that they have started filming here in Las Vegas.
- 41:01Dayna Roselli: So uh we'll have to see what that's all about.
- 41:03Dayna Roselli: There's a whole synopsis, it's a big steamy love story, and I'm all for it.
- 41:07Dayna Roselli: So um looking forward to maybe a Brandon Sklener, Sklener sighting.
- 41:14Sean McAllister: All right.
- 41:15Dayna Roselli: Well, hit the streets, preferably at the pool with his shirt off.
- 41:19Sean McAllister: Hey, that's how every good Vegas love story begins, right?
- 41:26SPEAKER_01: Well, I love that we can say things that we can't normally say in real life here on the podcast because there's no filter and nobody can tell us what to do, and there's no FCC.
- 41:36Sean McAllister: There isn't.
- 41:37Sean McAllister: We just go.
- 41:38Sean McAllister: We go, we say it.
- 41:39Sean McAllister: Hey, another thing we wanted to mention uh Beast Games season two is streaming now on Prime Video, and that uh it's a reality competition series uh hosted by Mr.
- 41:52Sean McAllister: Beast, who's a billionaire YouTuber.
- 41:55Sean McAllister: Um, it's kind of a Squid Games style competition series, and that filmed here in Las Vegas as well.
- 42:03Sean McAllister: They built one of those uh big soundstage tents essentially in a desert lot uh just south of the South Point hotel and casino on Las Vegas Boulevard, so a few miles south of uh the Las Vegas Strip, the resort corridor.
- 42:21Sean McAllister: Um, but they filmed a lot of the uh season here in Las Vegas at the soundstage and outside of the soundstage.
- 42:30Sean McAllister: Um, and that's streaming now.
- 42:32Sean McAllister: So one of those folks is I think there's ten million dollars in prizes up for grabs.
- 42:38Sean McAllister: The winner walks away with five million bucks.
- 42:41Dayna Roselli: No joke.
- 42:42Sean McAllister: That is no joke.
- 42:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 42:44Dayna Roselli: Um people are enjoying it.
- 42:45Dayna Roselli: I know it's a big deal.
- 42:46Dayna Roselli: I've never seen it, but I hear it's great.
- 42:48Sean McAllister: Shane, my husband Shane loves to watch Beast Games.
- 42:51Dayna Roselli: He loves anything with a competition.
- 42:52Sean McAllister: He does.
- 42:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, he wants to, he really wants to be on Traitors.
- 42:56Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 42:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I was just asking you about that show.
- 42:59Sean McAllister: Well, he wants to be on Traders, he wants to be on the amazing race, he wants to be on Survivor.
- 43:03Dayna Roselli: He's never made it yet.
- 43:04Sean McAllister: Not yet.
- 43:05Dayna Roselli: He will.
- 43:06Sean McAllister: One of these days.
- 43:07Dayna Roselli: Hey, and another celebrity sighting, your dog was in the Martin Luther King Day parade.
- 43:11Dayna Roselli: He was in downtown Las Vegas, and he made the paper, a picture of Sawyer.
- 43:16Sean McAllister: He made Las Vegas Weekly.
- 43:19Dayna Roselli: So that's a Vegas celebrity sighting with a twist.
- 43:22Sean McAllister: With his red bandana.
- 43:23Dayna Roselli: What do we call it?
- 43:24Dayna Roselli: Celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 43:25Dayna Roselli: I don't even know the name of our thing.
- 43:29Dayna Roselli: We're still getting used to it.
- 43:30Dayna Roselli: We've got a lot of meetings today.
- 43:32Sean McAllister: I know, it has been.
- 43:33Sean McAllister: It's been our brains have been ping-ponging everywhere.
- 43:37SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 43:38Sean McAllister: Uh a couple other celebrity sightings going back to uh Jim Kana, the restaurant opening that we talked about at the beginning of the show.
- 43:46Sean McAllister: Um, there were some uh big stars there as well.
- 43:50Sean McAllister: Uh Tiana Taylor, the s uh singer, she was there.
- 43:53Sean McAllister: Winnie Harlow, the superstar global model, was there.
- 43:57Sean McAllister: Uh Brooklyn Beckham was there.
- 44:00Sean McAllister: Of course, he's making a bunch of headlines right now for the estrangement with his parents and some of the reasons that he says are behind that.
- 44:09Sean McAllister: That's a whole situation that you can look up on your own.
- 44:13Sean McAllister: Uh also uh Gunna was there.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: I love Gunna.
- 44:16Sean McAllister: The rapper, he also has a smoothie at Fountain Blue.
- 44:20Sean McAllister: He does.
- 44:20Sean McAllister: His smoothie's good over there.
- 44:23Dayna Roselli: So yeah, it's been a very celebrity-filled week, hasn't it?
- 44:26Sean McAllister: It has been.
- 44:27Dayna Roselli: Um, and then I meant to say, by the way, um I really enjoyed being at Aria.
- 44:33Dayna Roselli: I hadn't been there in a while.
- 44:33Dayna Roselli: It's such a nice property.
- 44:35Sean McAllister: It is.
- 44:36Sean McAllister: Right?
- 44:36Dayna Roselli: It's nice.
- 44:37Sean McAllister: And yeah, you know what?
- 44:38Sean McAllister: It's not uh for being for its location kind of in the middle of the strip, it's it's it's pretty convenient to get in and out of, too.
- 44:46Dayna Roselli: It is, it is.
- 44:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think if you park in the parking garage and you need to go toward the front, it's a little bit of a walk.
- 44:52Dayna Roselli: Um, but if you value, you get so I mean like plan ahead, but just plan a little walk.
- 44:57Dayna Roselli: But it was it's it is very convenient, and I noticed like it attaches to so many other places, so it's easy to get to from here to there.
- 45:04Dayna Roselli: It's like okay, go this way.
- 45:06Sean McAllister: And they have a walkway now from Aria over to Bellagio.
- 45:10Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 45:11Dayna Roselli: I saw that on the way in, and I was like, oh, I love I love that everything's starting to connect.
- 45:15Dayna Roselli: And then we need to talk about Vegas loop that's starting to connect to more places too in the future.
- 45:20Dayna Roselli: That's a whole other thing.
- 45:22Dayna Roselli: But it was used uh a lot, a little bit more than it normally is during CES because they really pushed it.
- 45:28Dayna Roselli: So it's out there, it's underground, and it's going.
- 45:32Sean McAllister: You know, one of the regular uh just surface streets that I uh that I always take, usually to come and stop over to your place, there's this parking lot that I drive by that is absolutely full of all Teslas.
- 45:49Sean McAllister: It's just like a big empty lot.
- 45:51Sean McAllister: It's full of Teslas, all the same color.
- 45:53Sean McAllister: And I'm like, I was thinking as I drove by it, I was like, I wonder if this is where they store all the Teslas for the Vegas loop.
- 46:01Dayna Roselli: It's so funny that you're saying, because I thought it was you and I that had this conversation.
- 46:04Dayna Roselli: We didn't have this conversation.
- 46:05Dayna Roselli: It was my friend Robin.
- 46:06Dayna Roselli: She took pictures and she's like, what is going on here?
- 46:09Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 46:09Sean McAllister: And because it's in a completely random location.
- 46:12Dayna Roselli: And I said it's probably related to the Vegas loop.
- 46:14Dayna Roselli: That's so weird.
- 46:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, she just brought the same thing up that really caught her eye.
- 46:18Dayna Roselli: See, I daydream when I when I drive.
- 46:20Dayna Roselli: I don't look around.
- 46:21Dayna Roselli: I'm listening to Taylor Swift and yelling lyrics out.
- 46:25Sean McAllister: See, I drive with the radio off, so I have silence and I have nothing to do but notice.
- 46:30Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 46:31Dayna Roselli: You're like my dad used to be.
- 46:33Dayna Roselli: Observe everything, pay attention.
- 46:35Dayna Roselli: No, I like that.
- 46:36Dayna Roselli: But you're right.
- 46:36Dayna Roselli: I think it's probably related to that.
- 46:38Sean McAllister: And uh yeah, we'll do a uh we'll need to do an update on the Vegas Loop very soon.
- 46:44Sean McAllister: But they do have uh some properties that they bought up on Paradise Road that are going to turn into Vegas Loop stations and and transit hubs, really.
- 46:56Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 46:56Sean McAllister: So if you take the Vegas Loop, you can pick up a shuttle or a cab or whatever to go off to wherever else you need to go.
- 47:07Dayna Roselli: And sphere the sphere, which is nice.
- 47:09Dayna Roselli: It is long paradise, one of the and thank goodness, because then people won't park in the parking lot where I get my nails done and hog all the spots and walk over.
- 47:18Dayna Roselli: Um because they will.
- 47:19Sean McAllister: That'll be within walking distance of the sphere.
- 47:21Dayna Roselli: So that'll be good.
- 47:23Dayna Roselli: We could go on and on and on and on.
- 47:24Dayna Roselli: See, it just never ends.
- 47:25Dayna Roselli: They're also building a pink box donuts over there in the corner.
- 47:28Dayna Roselli: Anyway, um, to be continued, because I don't know how much time uh we have left on our monthly subscription.
- 47:34Dayna Roselli: So thanks for your support, everyone who does support us.
- 47:37Dayna Roselli: Thank you to Vegas near me for sponsoring the audio podcast.
