Sixty-five-year-old Ruben Cantu just got a life sentence after gunning down Ricky Marquez Jr. in a parking lot brawl outside Papi Gallo Cantina on February 2, 2025. What started as a family birthday turned deadly when Cantu, allegedly drunk and enraged, pulled a gun and opened fire—killing Marquez and wounding another. Authorities say Cantu also bragged about past killings and threatened someone over a car loan, helping lead to his arrest. Now, he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison.
