- 0:00Speaker 1: Kitchen dot com. In fact, I mean just order. One
- 0:03Speaker 1: person ordered the lasagna and the other the bolonaise and
- 0:07Speaker 1: just share it and uh and then you're having a party,
- 0:11Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, with the Titos espresso
- 0:14Speaker 1: Martini tastes Italian Kitchen dot com to make a reservation
- 0:19Speaker 1: lasagna fabulous, love it. I could eat that all the time, no,
- 0:25Speaker 1: no doubt about it. That's that's Ela Hall's favorite Lasagna
- 0:28Speaker 1: Tastes Italian Kitchen. How many times did we go and
- 0:33Speaker 1: either get that there or to go order?
- 0:38Speaker 2: Who knew that? You know?
- 0:39Speaker 1: When we moved out to the lake, nobody would deliver
- 0:41Speaker 1: to us and uh and then there was this one
- 0:45Speaker 1: window like three years in where the pizza spot right
- 0:48Speaker 1: up here by Kroger and Colony crossing. I remember what
- 0:54Speaker 1: it was called Pizza Inn something like that. It delivered
- 0:59Speaker 1: to us for like five seconds and then and then
- 1:02Speaker 1: they they didn't and then we went another chunk of time.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And then now you know, you can get door dash
- 1:13Speaker 1: or what's the other one. The one that we used
- 1:16Speaker 1: to use was waiter No, but it was another one
- 1:19Speaker 1: Asap is what it's called. Now there's uh, oh, grub
- 1:23Speaker 1: Hub or Uber eats. Yeah, but I don't. I don't
- 1:27Speaker 1: ever use it when they orders it or somebody does.
- 1:30Speaker 1: But we ordered, well, we got taste delivered to the house,
- 1:36Speaker 1: which was crazy because for years we didn't have that,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and so that that made it. That made it fun.
- 1:44Speaker 1: You know, it's too damn hot to cook at times,
- 1:48Speaker 1: and so we had our friends out and we were like,
- 1:51Speaker 1: we'll just get we'll just get pizza, and well they
- 1:55Speaker 1: delivered it once and they realized how far it was
- 1:57Speaker 1: from there. I'm done pizza in years ago. Yeah, no,
- 2:01Speaker 1: it's not far, it's not. I mean, hell, we're closer
- 2:03Speaker 1: than most reunion in Johnstone and Annandale. But you couldn't
- 2:07Speaker 1: you couldn't explain it to him. Yeah, but see when
- 2:13Speaker 1: they come from the Renaissance, we're way closer than all
- 2:16Speaker 1: those down four sixty three because you're just cutting back
- 2:18Speaker 1: behind Bridgewater to get to us and or in front
- 2:21Speaker 1: of I don't care whichever way you say it. But yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 1: it's great now. I mean we had euros the other
- 2:29Speaker 1: night delivered Lookout and it was you don't even have
- 2:34Speaker 1: to go anywhere, So life's good. Yeah, I mean I
- 2:38Speaker 1: like going out like we did last night to Walker's
- 2:40Speaker 1: drive in. But but you know on a late day,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I'm not getting in the car, so that that's not
- 2:47Speaker 1: or just certain days when you don't want to, Man,
- 2:51Speaker 1: what is going on? I had no idea. I just
- 2:55Speaker 1: didn't even know it, right, I.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Mean, door, do I not currently have a pulse?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm going to ask. That's Jeff brom
- 3:02Speaker 1: for our listeners. He's the head football coach for the
- 3:06Speaker 1: University of Louisville and ole Miss will play them in
- 3:09Speaker 1: Nashville Game one Week one. It's one of the bigger
- 3:12Speaker 1: games in the country.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Week one.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We don't have the sizzle. Remember we didn't have anything
- 3:18Speaker 1: for years, and then kind of the college football world
- 3:22Speaker 1: started scheduling in a good way for Week one and
- 3:27Speaker 1: we went on about a fifteen year stretch maybe And
- 3:31Speaker 1: this year Clemson at LSU, Louisville, ole Miss neutral field,
- 3:37Speaker 1: Auburn Baylor in Atlanta. You know you got some stuff
- 3:41Speaker 1: there that's that's not bad at all.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I know you just want ball.
- 3:46Speaker 1: You want to be able to, you know, bet twenty
- 3:49Speaker 1: bucks on the game, right and and have some fun
- 3:53Speaker 1: with it. So and I don't blame you. I'm here
- 3:56Speaker 1: for it. But anyway, this is Jeff Brom.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Currently have a pulse. I'm gonna ask him that.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I'm going to Louisville tomorrow, so my first question when
- 4:07Speaker 1: I walk in Jeff Brohm's office will be based around this.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I will play this on my phone for him.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Or do I not currently have a pulse?
- 4:17Speaker 1: Do you think I should take his pulse? Please get
- 4:20Speaker 1: a video live on YouTube. I'm taking Jeff Bram's pulse.
- 4:24Speaker 1: He'll be a fan, and I'm doing it for Pete
- 4:26Speaker 1: Golding so that Pete will know if he has a
- 4:28Speaker 1: pulse going into the game. Man, you need to know,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you gotta know. I'd like to know. Yeah, Week zero
- 4:35Speaker 1: games North Carolina TCU and Dublin Ireland. All right, the
- 4:40Speaker 1: cold Beers and whatever they eat in Ireland. North Carolina
- 4:44Speaker 1: with Belichick. He put Lombardi on administrative leave this week.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Usually don't come back from that, but occasionally you do.
- 4:51Speaker 1: North Carolina TCU. Oh got another power for matchup. I
- 4:58Speaker 1: didn't realize that got a conference game early. Look out
- 5:02Speaker 1: North Carolina State Virginia. Man, if you drop Dan Mullen
- 5:05Speaker 1: at Virginia, if you dropped him at n C State
- 5:09Speaker 1: or UVA in this new environment. He'd hurt some feelings
- 5:14Speaker 1: because that's not a I mean, they've got some good
- 5:16Speaker 1: teams at times in Miami was pretty damn good for
- 5:19Speaker 1: what we are today. But they're not. You know, Clemson's
- 5:23Speaker 1: lost its way. Florida State has no idea where they are.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Y'all know the drill. You drop Dan Mullen at a
- 5:32Speaker 1: at a cerebral school that's got money and doesn't really care.
- 5:37Speaker 1: But he can make them care a little bit, right.
- 5:39Speaker 1: He can win seven to nine a year at in
- 5:41Speaker 1: c State or Virginia and every now and then he
- 5:43Speaker 1: can get that pop when he gets you know a
- 5:46Speaker 1: qb Oh, Dan Mullen's going to No, it's a home game, Okay,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I did not realize that. So Charles Hoff, who may
- 5:58Speaker 1: be a head coach in power for soon against Dan Mullen.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Charles Huff against Dan Mullen, Week zero, all right in
- 6:11Speaker 1: Las Vegas, both yeah, Allegiance Stadium, home of the Las
- 6:17Speaker 1: Vegas Raiders, and Tom Brady and Fernando Mendoza and Kirk
- 6:21Speaker 1: Cousins Memphis at UNLB. That's the late late game man
- 6:27Speaker 1: nine o'clock on Fox. Dan Mullen, Charles Huff, Tath the over.
- 6:35Speaker 1: We've received a lot of text on huff as a
- 6:37Speaker 1: possible guide and start. Well, if Levy doesn't make it,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I don't know what that looks like. I don't know
- 6:43Speaker 1: if that's six or seven wins. Six to me is
- 6:47Speaker 1: you know, absolute and total mediocrity. You know, running around
- 6:52Speaker 1: talking about that does nothing for me. But anyway, but
- 6:55Speaker 1: there is a clear path for I mean, six to
- 6:59Speaker 1: me would be solid at best. Coaching and performance and execution.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Got to find a way to get some pop and
- 7:06Speaker 1: get to seven and get get some mojo and magic.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Going.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But Memphis UNLB, how about that? So we got we
- 7:14Speaker 1: got some games week zero and the Tito's the Tito's
- 7:18Speaker 1: Vodka Bloody Mary game is North Carolina TCU because it'll
- 7:20Speaker 1: be whatever seven hours ahead over in Dublin, Ireland. So
- 7:26Speaker 1: eleven am you get Belichick against?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Is it? Skip? Holtz skill? Is that right?
- 7:34Speaker 1: He was in the National Championship game like five years ago,
- 7:37Speaker 1: got beat sixty five to nothing, but Kirby smart and
- 7:41Speaker 1: Kirby took his foot.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Off the pedal. Skip is currently.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm getting that wrong.
- 7:49Speaker 2: He was with a Birmingham Stallion. Okay, so what's the
- 7:51Speaker 2: guy's name?
- 7:52Speaker 1: His dad was a coach too, the guy at TCU,
- 7:56Speaker 1: that is it Sonny, Yes, Dykes, No, no, we can
- 8:02Speaker 1: you look it up.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 8:05Speaker 1: We're live in the Bank plus studio. The Dancing Rabbit
- 8:07Speaker 1: golf text line is six ozho one eight eight five
- 8:11Speaker 1: three seven seven six. Spike Dikes was his dad, Spike
- 8:15Speaker 1: at Texas Tech, Mike Leach took his place here, go Boom.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Then he hired Sonny Dikes I think as an assistant
- 8:22Speaker 1: coach about twenty six years ago. He bounced around. He
- 8:26Speaker 1: may have gone through LA Tech. He eventually ended up
- 8:28Speaker 1: at TCU. They were in the National Championship game against
- 8:32Speaker 1: Curbs when Curbs was three deep and he beat him
- 8:35Speaker 1: sixty five to zero.
- 8:36Speaker 2: La Tech Cal. He went to Cal for some reason.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Cal Berkeley.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Wow.
- 8:43Speaker 1: He was at SMU too before. He was an SMU
- 8:48Speaker 1: from eighteen to twenty one. Oh, and SMU was in
- 8:51Speaker 1: G five. They're actually probably a better job today with
- 8:56Speaker 1: lastly and now going to the ACC and all the
- 8:59Speaker 1: money that they raised, all though TCU's got a ton,
- 9:01Speaker 1: they raised one hundred and seventy five million, like fifteen
- 9:04Speaker 1: years ago in five seconds for Gary Patterson. So all
- 9:06Speaker 1: those schools, even outside, even outside the big boys have
- 9:11Speaker 1: crazy amount of money SMU TCU in Texas Tech. But okay,
- 9:15Speaker 1: Dice went ten winsday, he had ten winds season.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Out there at SMU. Hey, okay, not bad.
- 9:23Speaker 1: COVID got him. They finished seventy three that year. Okay, okay, that's.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Not too shabby. Was eight and four and twenty one.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Okay, nice. And then he makes the jump to TCU
- 9:34Speaker 1: that Big twelve. SMU now in the ACC.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Isn't that weird?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Stanford and cal Berkeley in the ACC. Wait, run that back, now,
- 9:41Speaker 1: TCU's what in the Big twelve? Okay, yeah, okay, ye, yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: all right, yeah, so tc used in the Big twelve.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But SMU's in the ACC. It's kind of odd. You know.
- 9:54Speaker 1: When I grew up, it was the Pony Express, right,
- 9:57Speaker 1: Bobby Collins, Eric Dickerson and so on. And of course
- 10:02Speaker 1: they were winning before getting the death penalty, and then
- 10:06Speaker 1: they were out in no man's land for the most
- 10:08Speaker 1: part for a long long time. And then, like you said,
- 10:12Speaker 1: Dykes was able to come in and win lastly drove
- 10:14Speaker 1: him to the College Football Playoff two years ago, and
- 10:16Speaker 1: they got pretty much embarrassed by Penn State.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Well and in Happy Valley, right five, we're supposed to
- 10:24Speaker 2: get him. No, they're an ACC's right. Yeah, that's gonna
- 10:27Speaker 2: take you a minute. Yeah, I don't like it. I
- 10:30Speaker 2: get it. I get it.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Larry Brown went through SMU as a head basketball coach,
- 10:35Speaker 1: which is crazy. Larry's had like thirty four job Now
- 10:39Speaker 1: he's won an NBA title and a and a college
- 10:43Speaker 1: basketball National Championship. But he couldn't never stay anywhere more
- 10:47Speaker 1: than two years now. He looked really good two years
- 10:50Speaker 1: ago in the crowd as I was watching Michigan State
- 10:55Speaker 1: abus Mississippi State in an NCAA tournament basketball game. But
- 11:00Speaker 1: he was he was dressed like money, just I mean,
- 11:06Speaker 1: great looking. Uh you know, black shirt, black pants. Looked
- 11:12Speaker 1: like he was going to you know, some kind of
- 11:15Speaker 1: really cool party. Oh, Larry Brown, he definitely parties.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Dean Smith's played for for Dean early, right early.
- 11:24Speaker 2: But by the Baltimore.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Bullets, I did not know that. I guess they turned
- 11:28Speaker 1: into the Washington Bullets.
- 11:30Speaker 2: They did.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I'm assuming because I do remember Jeff Malone playing for
- 11:33Speaker 1: the Washington Bullets. Now they're the Wizards. They had to
- 11:36Speaker 1: take Bullets out because it was.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I had a Bullets jersey growing up.
- 11:41Speaker 1: You know, those things were cool. I don't know if
- 11:44Speaker 1: Jeff Rutland wore it well, but those yeah, they had
- 11:50Speaker 1: the red, white and blue going and it was very
- 11:53Speaker 1: it was very seventies style jerseys in the eighties. Yes,
- 11:56Speaker 1: I remember going to watch the Bullets play in DC
- 11:59Speaker 1: up told the story with Jeff Maloone and Alex English
- 12:03Speaker 1: and uh, which, there's my basketball. I may I may
- 12:06Speaker 1: have to get that sleep with it the next few
- 12:08Speaker 1: nights nights. Well, I don't think I can do that
- 12:10Speaker 1: at the hotel and Louisville, but anyway, when I get back,
- 12:15Speaker 1: I'll get the mojo going. Yeah, those jerseys were cool
- 12:19Speaker 1: because they were throwback before throwback, right, you know they
- 12:23Speaker 1: in nineteen eighty four they look like nineteen seventy five.
- 12:26Speaker 1: You see where I'm going, Yeah, kind of like San
- 12:29Speaker 1: Diego Padres in eighty four with Tony Gwynn. It looked
- 12:31Speaker 1: like a nineteen seventy five uniform. And that's why I
- 12:34Speaker 1: think that's why you gravitated to it. Yeah, and their
- 12:38Speaker 1: comfort colors fair enough brown, orange, yellow, Yeah, Yeah, that's
- 12:42Speaker 1: that's kind of Uh.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I don't know what to h he pushing the edge
- 12:48Speaker 2: with that.
- 12:50Speaker 1: I know this. Their uniforms today look a lot cooler.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I mean, I like nostalgic wise, you like them and
- 12:55Speaker 1: you think of like you could see John Trabolta wearing
- 12:59Speaker 1: the San Diego Padres jersey in.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Nineteen eighty four.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Right, but good now, but now they've incorporated the blue
- 13:09Speaker 1: yes into their uniforms and it looks really good.
- 13:13Speaker 2: They've they've gone a little bit back to the old
- 13:16Speaker 2: brown and yellow. They have it.
- 13:17Speaker 1: It's their main home jersey, okay, because they look good
- 13:21Speaker 1: though they're you know, they're slick. Yeah. What they've done
- 13:24Speaker 1: the last fifteen years is impressive. I haven't made it
- 13:27Speaker 1: out to pet COO, but people rave about it, so
- 13:31Speaker 1: it may not still be but okay, yeah, yeah, Renfro
- 13:36Speaker 1: was smashing that building out there to the behind. Renfro
- 13:40Speaker 1: had a hell of a run for ten years.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Crystal spring Zone. I think it's Crystal Capie Academy.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 1: You know, when you think about Hunter Renfro speaking of
- 13:50Speaker 1: the Padres and switching back to local and him playing
- 13:54Speaker 1: for the Padres for a while, that's a pretty incredible
- 13:58Speaker 1: story that he was going to mrity in community College
- 14:02Speaker 1: until the week of going to Murdy And Community College,
- 14:06Speaker 1: and I guess Lane Burrows finally talked John Cohen into
- 14:10Speaker 1: offering him. I'm sure it wasn't much. And he ends
- 14:13Speaker 1: up going to Mississippi State and sits for a long
- 14:18Speaker 1: time and then has his magical third year in the
- 14:20Speaker 1: rest is history.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Yeah, ah, did he enter the scene?
- 14:25Speaker 1: Man, I remember. I don't know if you remember when
- 14:27Speaker 1: it was that he was a September call up, August
- 14:31Speaker 1: call up? Was he he was there for the last
- 14:33Speaker 1: two weeks of the year. Yeah, I know they like
- 14:35Speaker 1: to do that with.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Bomb after bomb after Bie was ridiculous.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Man. I love that he was putting dents out there
- 14:43Speaker 1: in that uh because they have that metal thing out
- 14:45Speaker 1: there at Peco. Yeah, whenever it hits the roof, you
- 14:48Speaker 1: know it. So he's out there putting, you know, dents
- 14:50Speaker 1: in it. Let's go with Saban's win over Ohio State.
- 14:54Speaker 1: All right, this is Rhees Davis. We're gonna drop this.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Let's switch gears. Let's talk some SEC football.
- 15:00Speaker 2: That was fun.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Out of bounds ESPN one oh five nine The Zone.

- 15:59Speaker 1: com Appli front page today. We talked about Nick Saban
- 16:02Speaker 1: yesterday and if Drew Brees goes to the Miami Dolphins,
- 16:08Speaker 1: Nick Saban doesn't go to the University of Alabama, and
- 16:12Speaker 1: then what does that look like for you in your
- 16:14Speaker 1: team from two thousand and whatever eight to about twenty
- 16:20Speaker 1: twenty one, what does that look like? And if Breese
- 16:24Speaker 1: doesn't go to New Orleans, what does that look like
- 16:26Speaker 1: for Saints fans? Are you just seven and nine, eight
- 16:30Speaker 1: and eight? Oh Jackson saying five? And this is before
- 16:34Speaker 1: we go into seventeen games, five and eleven, whatever. But
- 16:38Speaker 1: that changed everything for the Saints and everything for Alabama
- 16:45Speaker 1: and the Dolphins haven't been to the AFC Championship Game
- 16:49Speaker 1: in forever. So, but Saban, there was a there was
- 16:55Speaker 1: a moment in the nineties where he wasn't going to
- 16:57Speaker 1: get out of Michigan State. I mean, he's basically a
- 17:01Speaker 1: five hundred coach a little bit more. And Rhees Davis,
- 17:08Speaker 1: who's also an Alabama alum and got to know Saban
- 17:11Speaker 1: as much as you can, talks about Saban's win over
- 17:15Speaker 1: Ohio State when he was at Michigan State and kind
- 17:19Speaker 1: of had his back against the wall here it is.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I asked him once, I said, when did you change
- 17:26Speaker 3: from being the old school, hard nosed guy. And he
- 17:30Speaker 3: changed right around the time of maybe his most famous
- 17:34Speaker 3: win at Michigan State when they upset Ohio State. Ohio
- 17:36Speaker 3: State was number one, and he has worked for years
- 17:39Speaker 3: and maintains a close relationship with a tremendous psychologist named
- 17:44Speaker 3: doctor Lannie Rosen at Michigan State, and he said he
- 17:47Speaker 3: didn't think they could win the game. Nick didn't think
- 17:49Speaker 3: they could beat Ohio State and there was plenty of
- 17:51Speaker 3: reason not to think that they were five hundred. Team
- 17:53Speaker 3: Ohio State was number one, and he said to doctor roseniy,
- 17:57Speaker 3: he said, what am I going to tell a team?
- 17:59Speaker 3: I don't really think we can win? And doctor Rosen said,
- 18:02Speaker 3: you have got to stop being transactional with the players
- 18:06Speaker 3: and be transformational in terms of the relationship with them,
- 18:09Speaker 3: and we put up He told the story then on
- 18:13Speaker 3: game day and we put up his record before and
- 18:15Speaker 3: I want to say it was maybe five games over
- 18:17Speaker 3: five hundred when Michigan State they were getting a little restless,
- 18:21Speaker 3: when Nick Saban, he's not winning enough. They beat Ohio
- 18:24Speaker 3: State and from that point forward he became Nick Saban
- 18:27Speaker 3: and the winning percentages off the charge. Two hundred some
- 18:31Speaker 3: odd games over five hundred or whatever.
- 18:35Speaker 2: How about that?
- 18:36Speaker 1: That's Rhees Davis host a college game day, as you know,
- 18:40Speaker 1: talking about Saban beating Ohio State and that changed the
- 18:47Speaker 1: whole game, which then put him on the radar for
- 18:51Speaker 1: Southern cal and LSU and Sexton told him to take
- 18:56Speaker 1: LSU wow, And then Saban looked at at him. This
- 19:00Speaker 1: is funny. I heard this years later. Saban was like,
- 19:06Speaker 1: oh yeah, Southern Cow is a bad job. And this
- 19:08Speaker 1: is when Pete Carroll was winning, you know, because sex
- 19:12Speaker 1: was like, now you want LSU, not Southern col. And
- 19:15Speaker 1: of course he and Carol were winning at a high level,
- 19:18Speaker 1: you know, right out of gate O one, O two,
- 19:20Speaker 1: O three, right four from there. But I think that
- 19:25Speaker 1: that was funny because Southern Cow was loading the boat
- 19:28Speaker 1: out there and LSU was loading the boat in the
- 19:30Speaker 1: early two thousands in Baton Rouge. Both both modernized. It's
- 19:38Speaker 1: funny that two NFL coaches walked into LSU and Southern
- 19:44Speaker 1: Cal who had been you know, in disarray, couldn't couldn't
- 19:50Speaker 1: figure it out. I mean, two places that should always win.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Maybe you're not gonna win just big every year, but
- 19:55Speaker 1: should always win, right, and both walk in. Nick Shaban
- 20:00Speaker 1: walks in LSU, majority of his career is NFL. Pete
- 20:08Speaker 1: Carroll walks in Southern Cal. And they modernize the recruiting
- 20:12Speaker 1: at both places, and modernize the strength and conditioning programs
- 20:16Speaker 1: at both places.
- 20:17Speaker 2: And what happened.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Right off the runway right at forty thousand feet flying,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you know, one thousand miles per hour and their monsters.
- 20:29Speaker 1: We'll see what Lincoln Riley does at Southern Cal. He's
- 20:31Speaker 1: doing pretty good. He's not the deal.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Though.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You've had three Big Ten teams win it and Oregon
- 20:38Speaker 1: go to the College Football Playoff two and Southern Col's
- 20:41Speaker 1: been kind of on the sideline as Indiana, Ohio State,
- 20:45Speaker 1: Michigan have won back to back to back or have
- 20:48Speaker 1: won it those three and then Oregon's been good. I
- 20:52Speaker 1: think Southern Cow is ready to make a statement in
- 20:54Speaker 1: the Big Ten, which is weird to.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Say, but that's what happened.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Pete Carroll and Nick Saban modernized recruiting, modernize the strength
- 21:05Speaker 1: and conditioning program in two thousand, let's just say the
- 21:08Speaker 1: year two thousand and then off and running for Southern
- 21:14Speaker 1: Cow and LSU.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 21:19Speaker 1: They were such they think about they were cruising at
- 21:27Speaker 1: such a high level that Eddie o could go six
- 21:31Speaker 1: and two as an interim coach at Southern Cal and
- 21:34Speaker 1: win the national championship at LSU. That tells you how
- 21:38Speaker 1: they're different from other programs. There are other programs who
- 21:41Speaker 1: think they're that, oh yeah, we can go on you'll
- 21:44Speaker 1: never go on autopilot. Those programs can go on autopilot
- 21:47Speaker 1: for a second and still win. Most programs regard even
- 21:51Speaker 1: like really good ones go on autopilot, you lose everything
- 21:54Speaker 1: in seconds, you know. I thought that was pretty good.
- 22:00Speaker 1: The Dancing Rabbit golf text line is six to ozho
- 22:03Speaker 1: one eight eight, five, three seven seven six. I love that.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Lonnie Rosen, the psychologist, told Nick Saban at Michigan State,
- 22:12Speaker 1: You're gonna have to stop being transactional and be transformational.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Saban got the transactional part from the NFL. The NFL's
- 22:21Speaker 1: you don't have to have relates. You've got job. You
- 22:24Speaker 1: got to do it or you get cut. I mean,
- 22:26Speaker 1: people are already getting cut right now in the NFL, and
- 22:29Speaker 1: now we'll have, you know, another five hundred players get
- 22:31Speaker 1: cut over the next few weeks.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Right by the.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Way, Drew Brees is going into the Pro Football Hall
- 22:37Speaker 1: of Fame August eighth, number nine. Who'd at Nation and
