- 0:54Dayna Roselli: Remember that TV show, 227?
- 0:56Sean McAllister: I was just thinking that as you were saying the numbers.
- 0:58Sean McAllister: I was like, oh my gosh, with Marla Gibbs back in the day.
- 1:03Sean McAllister: That was a Jack A.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: It was great.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I loved it.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: I was trying to think of the the theme song.
- 1:09Sean McAllister: What was Oh my gosh.
- 1:12Sean McAllister: Um anyway.
- 1:14Sean McAllister: It's gonna come to me at some point.
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, anyway.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, it's episode 227, which is exciting.
- 1:21Dayna Roselli: Can you believe we've done 227 episodes?
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: I can't.
- 1:26Sean McAllister: Well, no, I can't.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: And I also can't believe that like 4th of July is right around the corner either.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: All that summer.
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: It is hot, hot, hot in Vegas, everyone.
- 1:34Dayna Roselli: I feel like it might be the hottest that it's been consistently in a long time, but I know the East Coast is experiencing stuff like that too.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: I don't always want to start the show off with weather, but I know people like to just get a hint of what we're going through.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: Well, I think I read something that it's uh set to be the hottest July on record in Las Vegas.
- 1:53Sean McAllister: We've been consistently like hovering around 110.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:57Dayna Roselli: And I saw a quote from Bill Nye, the science guy.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Is that his name?
- 2:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's his name.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: Today, the saying that um we should just expect it to be like this from now on, that it's only gonna get hotter over the years.
- 2:08Sean McAllister: Oh, good.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: Well, I just put up new blinds to block out the the heat and sun in our house.
- 2:15Sean McAllister: So I guess it's a good investment.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: Hey, listen, we're gonna start off with we got a lot of stories, a lot of things to talk about, but we're gonna start off with a text message.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: Remember, in our show notes, there's a link, and you can text us whenever you feel like it.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: Your phone number does not come across, your name doesn't come across, you can add your name in there, but we love to hear from you.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: And we did get a text message from Veronica in Indiana.
- 2:41Sean McAllister: And Veronica was reaching out because, first of all, she's been listening to the podcast for a bit.
- 2:48Sean McAllister: And Veronica, we thank you so, so much for listening.
- 2:51Sean McAllister: Um, but she was looking for ideas because she is.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: Oh, I wonder if it's a surprise.
- 2:59Sean McAllister: I wonder if we're allowed to talk about it.
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: Um, I was in search for ideas for a surprise birthday trip for my boyfriend.
- 3:09SPEAKER_03: Well, she wrote it.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: She knows we're reading it.
- 3:13Dayna Roselli: She said she listens and she's hooked.
- 3:15Dayna Roselli: It doesn't necessarily mean her boyfriend is listening.
- 3:18Sean McAllister: That is true.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: I'm leaving it in.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: With that being said, she says, it's our first time in Vegas.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: What are some things we have to try when we visit?
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: We are coming for Labor Day weekend and staying at the Venetian.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: We're huge foodies, not much gamblers, and like to try different things.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: So far, all I have planned is going to minus five, taking a gondola ride at the Venetian, and eating at Hell's Kitchen.
- 3:41Dayna Roselli: Let me know your thoughts, please.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: Love the podcast, Veronica from Indiana.
- 3:46Sean McAllister: So uh we do have some ideas, Veronica.
- 3:49Sean McAllister: And by the way, uh, make sure your boyfriend doesn't listen if this is still a surprise.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: Um, so what you have lined up already, I think those are those are those are great things to have on the list and already be preparing for.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:03Sean McAllister: Um, and the dinner at Hell's Kitchen, just know that they do have uh a preset menu where you can get the signature beef wellington as part of the prefix.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: Love that.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: So we were sitting here thinking, you know, I mean, first of all, when you say like what other things, I mean, there are so many things.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: It's just really difficult.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: And then we were thinking of like what are some unique restaurants or what we just have a few ideas for you, but like there are probably a million more.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: But let's just start with this.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: Sean and I were thinking, well, it would be really great if you guys actually had dinner up in the tower at the palms at Vetri Cusina.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: It's a great restaurant, but also we love hotels that are just off the strip and give you a view of the strip because when you're on the strip, you're kind of on top of it.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 4:52Dayna Roselli: Obviously, you know, if you're going to the the north end, the strat, you're gonna see south.
- 4:56Dayna Roselli: But it is nice to be at some place like the palms or, you know, even uh Voodoo at the top of the Rio to be able to see the strip from kind of left to right.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 5:08Sean McAllister: And if you do plan on going to Vetri, that is a a smaller restaurant up there at the top of the palms.
- 5:15Sean McAllister: So plan ahead, get a reservation in so that you can be sure to stop in there and then get after dinner drinks at uh vo no at um oh my gosh, I'm totally blanking on the lounge that's up there now.
- 5:30Sean McAllister: I have voodoo stuck in my head.
- 5:32Sean McAllister: Uh Ghost Bar.
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 5:36Dayna Roselli: I'm like, oh when you said up there now, I was like, wait, what's new?
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: But Ghost Bar's been there forever.
- 5:40Dayna Roselli: Obviously, it changed names and stuff, but it was Apex for a little while.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: But yes, Ghost Bar is great too.
- 5:44Dayna Roselli: And maybe that's a place, maybe that's the thing.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: If you're not even gonna do dinner, maybe you just go to Ghost Bar and go up to the top in the lounge and check out that view.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: It's so cool.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: For sure.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: Also, uh be sure to get down to Fremont Street.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: There's a lot of stuff uh down there.
- 5:58Sean McAllister: You have Circa, you have the Friday night fireworks at the plaza.
- 6:02Sean McAllister: Um, also, if you're downtown, the arts district is good to check out.
- 6:06Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's cool.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: I mean, I wouldn't say if you're well, I was gonna say if you're you're foodie, foodie, foodie, foodie, maybe Fremont's not for you, but then again, there are a lot of great restaurants restaurants at Fremont, um, like at Circa, Barry's Prime.
- 6:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, Hugo's Wine Cellar.
- 6:22Dayna Roselli: Hugo's wine cellar, been them there many times.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: Um, is it Andiamo at the D?
- 6:27Dayna Roselli: Great.
- 6:27Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: Um, trying to think of, and then there's of course all the you know, smaller ones that are just off Fremont that are excellent as well.
- 6:36Sean McAllister: And there's the Binion Steakhouse, too, that's up in like their clock tower.
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's good.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: It has a good view of downtown.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so Fremont Street, maybe oh, and Oscar's steakhouse.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: And Oscar's, obviously.
- 6:46Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 6:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a lot of steakhouses, but all good.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: So yeah.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: I mean, so I guess you, you know, you could go down there and eat as well.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: Up there, I should say, from the strip.
- 6:54Dayna Roselli: Fremont Street's always fun for people watching.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: You got to experience it once.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: If you have never been to Vegas, you gotta go to Fremont Street.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: Absolutely.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: Add it to the itinerary.
- 7:02Sean McAllister: Also, uh, if you are a foodie, uh, Bizarre Meat by Jose Andres over at Sahara has a menu that you will not find anywhere else.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: I mean, there are some just really innovative uh preparations and presentations, so I would absolutely add that to your list uh if you're looking for some unique dining options as well.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 7:27Dayna Roselli: And then, of course, you know, the Fountain Blue has fabulous restaurants and they have a little bit of everything.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: They have a wonderful food hall area there.
- 7:35Dayna Roselli: Um, there's uh Komodo, there's Mother Wolf, there's Don's Prime and uh Q and oh gosh, breakfast and lunch over at um oh my gosh, I'm blanking on the name.
- 7:51Dayna Roselli: Uh I can't think of it.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: Sorry.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: Off the top of my head, I can't think of it.
- 7:55Dayna Roselli: Anyway, where I went for dinner.
- 7:57Dayna Roselli: They do dinner service too, but they're known for their breakfast.
- 7:59Dayna Roselli: Anyway, I'm blanking on that.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: Let's move on.
- 8:01Dayna Roselli: You'll find it all.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: Resorts World has incredible stuff.
- 8:04Dayna Roselli: Now, if you're a foodie, we think that uh food area, food, street food market at Resorts World would be something that you'd enjoy trying out.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, there's lots of variety in there.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: Um, and that's one of those places where you order on the touch screen and then go to the actual uh food hall stand to pick up your order.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: So just know how that works um going in.
- 8:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's great.
- 8:31Dayna Roselli: I had fish and chips there.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: They had a fish and chips stand that it was so good, but they have such a variety over there, it's really kind of cool.
- 8:38Dayna Roselli: The whole thing, I think you'd really enjoy that, especially if you said we like to try different things.
- 8:43Dayna Roselli: Um, and by the way, it's La Fontaine, just thought of it.
- 8:46Dayna Roselli: Over at Fountain Blue, yeah.
- 8:47Dayna Roselli: And you know, really known for their breakfast and lunch.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: They do a great dinner now, too.
- 8:51Dayna Roselli: But I feel like if you went over there for breakfast, that that would be a that would kind of be your jam.
- 8:56Sean McAllister: All right.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: So uh there we go.
- 8:59Sean McAllister: Those are some recommendations, Veronica, um, for the the upcoming trip.
- 9:04Sean McAllister: By the way, if you listen back to podcast episode 213, we touch on some other activities if you are a first-time visitor.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: So go back and check out that episode as well.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: A place that we talk about a lot is the peppermill.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: And, you know, we don't go there like all the time, but we've lived here a long time.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: So for me, through my 20 years plus in living here, I've gone to the peppermill over and over and over again.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: Hadn't been for a little while.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: The other night you were at the win, uh, you had a whole experience with Celine Dion, which we're gonna get to in a minute.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: But after we're like, oh my gosh, like let's meet up and talk about it.
- 9:41Dayna Roselli: I want to hear all about it.
- 9:42Dayna Roselli: So we met at the peppermill in the fireside lounge, because it was like what, like 1030?
- 9:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, like 1030-ish.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: And when we were there, we ran into a podcast listener.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: Her name is Jackie, and she came over and said, I recognize your voices.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: And she said, Well, like mostly yours.
- 9:59Dayna Roselli: She pointed to me, and I thought, that's because I'm so loud.
- 10:02Dayna Roselli: And so exactly how I am on the podcast is how I am when you sit down and have a conversation with me.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: Um, anyway, uh, sometimes, sometimes not.
- 10:11Dayna Roselli: But um, she recognized my voice because I was being loud.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: So Jackie came over.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: We got to meet Jackie and her husband, and they uh listened to the podcast and moved here from Iowa, was it?
- 10:22Sean McAllister: I Iowa or Idaho.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: Idaho.
- 10:24Dayna Roselli: One of the Idas.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: Idaho.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: One of the eyes.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: No, it was, I believe it was Idaho.
- 10:30Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:31Sean McAllister: Um, so it was great to meet you, Jackie and your husband.
- 10:35Sean McAllister: Um, we appreciate the fact that you listen.
- 10:38Sean McAllister: And what was interesting is uh they were at a concert uh nearby at a nearby property.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: Um Fountain Blue.
- 10:45Sean McAllister: When they were done, they were like, Oh, well, where should we go?
- 10:48Sean McAllister: And she said, Well, I've heard Dana and Sean talk about the peppermint, and that's like right next door.
- 10:56Sean McAllister: So she went there because she heard about it on Vegas Revealed, and there we were.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: It's isn't that funny?
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: And it's like, I feel like, you know what?
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: This just proves we don't just make stuff up.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: We actually talk about places we go.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: This is legit, people.
- 11:13Dayna Roselli: You are listening to a legit Vegas Revealed podcast.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: Um, and we don't make it up, we talk about and we recommend and we tell you the experiences of things that we've experienced.
- 11:25Dayna Roselli: And yeah, you might go there and we might be there.
- 11:28Sean McAllister: We go to the places we talk about, without a doubt.
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: That was that was fun.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: I I do love that fireside lounge, and it's affordable too.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: And our waitress was so wonderful because I wanted uh chicken fingers that weren't breaded, and she was like, Well, I don't think we can do that.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: She went and found, and then she finally was like, Why don't you just order the grilled chicken?
- 11:46Sean McAllister: Order a side of grilled chicken, and I'll bring you.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: And she brought three grilled chickens, and then she brought fries for your husband.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, she was wonderful.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like it's such a fun experience.
- 11:57Sean McAllister: It is.
- 11:58Sean McAllister: That's a great spot.
- 11:59Sean McAllister: If you haven't been, um, add that to your list.
- 12:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, too.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: All right, so the one thing that Jackie did tell us, by the way, is that she wants more family activities listed out.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: So um we're gonna do that in an upcoming episode.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, coming up in the next couple weeks will do that.
- 12:16Dayna Roselli: Because, you know, let's just be honest, Sean and I don't have kids.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: So we aren't the best people to ask about that stuff.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: We know places and we've done things that are like we've gone places that are good for families.
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 12:28Dayna Roselli: But like, you know, you'll most likely find us at someplace like the peppermint.
- 12:34unknown: Yeah.
- 12:37Sean McAllister: More adult-oriented activities and venues.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: But we have done some things that were like, this is great for family.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: And so we made a complete list.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: It's actually in an upcoming TV show or one that just aired, but we're gonna turn that clip and add some more to it and do that in a future episode very shortly, in either the next one or the next one.
- 12:56Dayna Roselli: Okay, let's talk about Celine Dion.
- 12:57Dayna Roselli: I know we've been talking about her a lot because obviously she lives in Las Vegas, she has a documentary coming out.
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: We want to see her back on stage.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Uh, but you recently went to see a show at Win Las Vegas, and while you were there, Celine Dion was in the audience.
- 13:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh the show that we went to see uh is is Hauser.
- 13:17Sean McAllister: He's a cellist from Europe, um, kind of a rock cellist.
- 13:21Sean McAllister: Like he does the you know, very ethereal kind of stuff too.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: Oh, look at you with a big word.
- 13:27Sean McAllister: You know, ethereal.
- 13:29Sean McAllister: I try and bust out something new every week.
- 13:31Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 13:31Sean McAllister: It doesn't always work, but this week I'll check it off.
- 13:35Sean McAllister: Uh so yeah, he does like big orchestral things, but then he also does rock music on his cello.
- 13:43Sean McAllister: He like lays down on his back and plays, gets a harness and runs all over the place.
- 13:49Sean McAllister: Uh Celine apparently is a big fan of Hauser.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: No, yeah, he first of all, for him, he has a strong fan base that we're seeing, but there's also people who's like, who is this guy after all this buzz?
- 13:59Dayna Roselli: I've never heard of him, but it's like, oh, and a lot of people are like, Oh, I know the guy who plays it on his back.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: The guy I've seen clips, I've seen so yeah, he's very popular and has diehard fans.
- 14:09Sean McAllister: For sure.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: And apparently Celine's one of them, like you said.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: So go ahead.
- 14:12Sean McAllister: So we were sitting there uh waiting for the show to begin.
- 14:16Sean McAllister: About five minutes before the show, we saw this line of people walking in from one of the front uh doors up by the stage, and they started walking right up the aisle where we were sitting, and my my husband Shane, he was like, That's Celine Dion.
- 14:35Sean McAllister: And I was like, Wait, what?
- 14:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, uh, and so it sure was.
- 14:41Sean McAllister: And she came walked right up the aisle next to us and sat just across the aisle from us, and she was having a terrific time.
- 14:51Sean McAllister: First of all, Celine looked tremendous.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: That's good to hear.
- 14:55Sean McAllister: And she just like because healthy.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: We wanted to look healthy.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: She looks healthy.
- 15:00Sean McAllister: She looked healthy, excited to be there.
- 15:02Sean McAllister: The entire audience applauded and cheered for her when she walked into the theater, and then a little later in the concert, Hauser introduced her, and uh there were more cheers and applause.
- 15:16Sean McAllister: It was just great to see Celine out.
- 15:19Sean McAllister: She was with her family, her three sons were there with her as well.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: But it was just such a great surprise and loved seeing Celine looking great and having fun.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: And she really has fun when she's an audience member, audience member.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: She's so respectful of just showing her joy for the performer.
- 15:37Dayna Roselli: And we have all those clips.
- 15:39Dayna Roselli: So Sean was there, and uh, if you've seen clips of this, it's ours, uh, generated from us.
- 15:44Dayna Roselli: Sean was sending me, you know, some clips, and I'm like, I'll get on it, I'll post them, and it's like, you know, gone crazy and gone viral.
- 15:51Dayna Roselli: It's been on TMZ and all sorts of other, you know, even the local paper, and it's been all over the Celine fan groups.
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: And um, if you're interested in seeing some of that, just go to our Vegas Revealed TikTok or our Vegas Revealed Instagram or Twitter.
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: You will find uh tons of those clips, and they are all originated from us at Vegas Revealed, really, Sean.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: And um, I just thought it was interesting though, because you know, she there was one point where he introduced her and asked, you know, if he joked around, like maybe it would be a dream come true of mine is to perform with you.
- 16:25Dayna Roselli: Maybe one line you could come up and sing, and she graciously denied, you know, obviously.
- 16:30Dayna Roselli: Um, and uh, you know, some people were like, Oh, he put her on the spot and it was inappropriate, but you know, the context there, you were in the audience, she didn't seem upset about it at all, did she?
- 16:44Sean McAllister: No, absolutely not.
- 16:45Sean McAllister: She just it was one of those things where she is obviously an idol to him.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:51Sean McAllister: And to her, he is an incredible entertainer.
- 16:58Sean McAllister: Yeah, they had already met and talked backstage.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: She was like singing a little bit back there and having a good time.
- 17:05Sean McAllister: And so he said he was like, you know, I would love to perform with you.
- 17:08Sean McAllister: Maybe right now.
- 17:09Sean McAllister: When should we do it?
- 17:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, and Celine, I mean, she wasn't gonna get up and sing because I think she's very respectful of the fact that she is at somebody else's show too, and she's not gonna try and hijack the show.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: Right.
- 17:22Sean McAllister: She's just not.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Well, and people were chuming in saying she people should know that she can't sing, it's in the documentary, and it's like she can't get up and do a full show yet.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: She doesn't feel ready, but she's she's starting to belt out.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: So even if back of the uh backstage of the the Beatles love show, yeah, clips that they show, you know, she can she can sing, she just can't or maybe sing a full song, or doesn't want to, but um she's gonna make her re return on her terms, and it's going to be for Celine, it's not going to be a pop-up in somebody else's show.
- 17:58SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 17:58Sean McAllister: But I being there, I did not feel that it was a disrespectful moment.
- 18:05Sean McAllister: It was two entertainers who have a mutual respect and admiration for one another having a fun moment.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: And he's a little quirky anyway, and charming and like all that.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: And I think that's exactly why Celine likes him.
- 18:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, exactly.
- 18:20Dayna Roselli: You have to check out our videos, they're really, really good.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: And by the way, just another note about the not being able to sing thing that people are going to see if you watch the I Am Celine documentary.
- 18:31Sean McAllister: It's out the 25th of June.
- 18:34Sean McAllister: That'll be out already by the uh prime video.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: It's already out.
- 18:37Sean McAllister: Right.
- 18:37Sean McAllister: Um there has been a big chunk of time that has elapsed since they shot that documentary.
- 18:45Sean McAllister: And in that span of time, Celine has been going to therapy and getting treatments from like the uh premier doctor who specifically studies this condition that she has.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: So she is in a much better place now than what she was during filming of that documentary.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: So don't think that that's her current state.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: And she's publicly gone on the record during interviews at the opening of the pre-screening of the documentary saying I will be back on stage in Las Vegas.
- 19:17Dayna Roselli: Correct.
- 19:17Dayna Roselli: At some point.
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: So that's from her mouth of wanting to and feeling like she will be able to when the time is right.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 19:25Sean McAllister: She's determined.
- 19:26Sean McAllister: And there are rumblings that potentially end of the year, maybe early next year, um, we may see uh return to the stage here in Vegas by Celine Dion.
- 19:40Dayna Roselli: All right, we've got a bunch of other uh important things to talk about, but first let's take a quick moment and hear a message from our title sponsor, Level Up Law.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: Level Up Law is looking to help you.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: You might have heard about the recent lawsuits surrounding Ozempic.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: It's concerning, right?
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, a lot of people have been experiencing some serious issues from taking some aglutide or terzepatides, including severe vomiting, hospitalization, pancreatic issues.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: The list goes on and on.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: If you've experienced any of this, you are not alone.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: And here's the thing Level Up Law is here to help.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: We already have a team of lawyers researching this issue and preparing to help those who need it.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Don't hesitate to reach out to our team if the doctor prescribed you these drugs and you're experiencing issues.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: Give us a call at 855 Level Up.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: That's 855 LevelUp, and we will answer your questions.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: Remember, you're not alone.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Level Up Law has got your back.
- 20:40Sean McAllister: And just a reminder, uh, the Sphere is on July 4th celebrating one year since it lit up the exosphere with images for the very first time.
- 20:50Sean McAllister: So, in honor of that, uh there's going to be a special production put on the sphere with audio involved too.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a big 4th of July show.
- 21:02Dayna Roselli: So it's going to be spectacular.
- 21:04Dayna Roselli: It's presented by Verizon.
- 21:05Dayna Roselli: There are two showings, 9:30 p.m.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: and 1140 p.m., and that's Las Vegas time.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: So you can actually go and watch this in person.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: It's like six parts, different themes.
- 21:17Dayna Roselli: There's going to be a stars and stripes, an ode to the architecture of Las Vegas.
- 21:21Dayna Roselli: They're going to celebrate Nevada, you know, and the wild, wild west.
- 21:25Dayna Roselli: And uh they're going to do a whole uh fireworks display, a lot of different elements here.
- 21:30Dayna Roselli: So, and it's gonna have audio.
- 21:32Dayna Roselli: So that's the two things that are gonna debut the XO audio, um, and then also the Exosphere live stream.
- 21:42Dayna Roselli: And this live stream, once it debuts on 4th of July, will now be 24 7.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: I love that.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: And yeah, and it's gonna be at thesphere.com.
- 21:50Dayna Roselli: So you can watch the shows, and then anytime you want to watch the sphere on the outside, the exosphere, you'll be able to watch this live stream.
- 21:57Sean McAllister: That's perfect because uh we have Been clamoring for an official sphere live stream and now we have it.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: We have it.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, this is gonna be great.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: You're gonna go.
- 22:09Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna be out of town.
- 22:10Dayna Roselli: You're going though, right?
- 22:11Sean McAllister: I am absolutely gonna be there.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: I'll see the the inaugural presentation of the the show that they're putting on and hear that exo audio for the first time.
- 22:21Dayna Roselli: And I don't know if people uh I know we have a lot of listeners in Las Vegas, and then also if visitors are in town, um, they say just come watch it.
- 22:30Dayna Roselli: So we don't know like the logistics of everything, but there's several parking lot areas around there.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: Um you could park at a nearby, you know, like the Tuscany or one of the plazas, maybe, and walk through and walk up to the parking lot to watch it, obviously, because you can see it from you know far away.
- 22:49Dayna Roselli: But if you want to hear the audio part, I'm assuming you need to be just, you know, a little bit closer.
- 22:53Dayna Roselli: So um I don't know, you're on your own on that one.
- 22:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, we don't have the details about those logistics right now.
- 23:00Sean McAllister: So um, you know, figure it out, I guess.
- 23:04Sean McAllister: That's what I'm gonna do.
- 23:05Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 23:05Sean McAllister: Uh, and by the way, coming up next week here on uh the podcast, we're gonna do a special edition dedicated specifically to the sphere in honor of that one-year anniversary of the illumination of the exosphere.
- 23:21Sean McAllister: So stay tuned for that.
- 23:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we're gonna share, you know, we've got we've had a lot of interviews and done uh a lot of coverage on the sphere.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna sprinkle all that in and kind of put it together in an updated version.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: There's some interviews you may not have heard.
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: We may have only played small pieces, but we're gonna let them breathe a little bit, or you know, so I think I think you'll really enjoy it.
- 23:40Dayna Roselli: It's it's been an interesting year because the sphere has just, you know, attracted just eyes from around the world.
- 23:47Dayna Roselli: And I'm telling you, man, I was thinking about yeah, I'm a big Swifty and I've been watching her shows in London and thinking this Eras tour once she hits now Germany, and then she's going all over.
- 23:59Dayna Roselli: She'll be back in London, then she's hitting Miami and she's doing, I think, Indiana.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: But she's gonna end in December.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: And I was thinking, like, what do you do after that that is at that magnitude?
- 24:10Dayna Roselli: You know, the amount of sold-out shows, the amount of moments in pop culture.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: If she is just every day a part of pop culture, you know, making history.
- 24:21Dayna Roselli: What do you do?
- 24:22Dayna Roselli: And I was thinking, I mean, creatively, if you took a couple months off, rested up, and then thought, let me get into the sphere studios in Burbank and create the most mind, you know, the this mind-blowing show that I could do for a year and stay put.
- 24:42Dayna Roselli: I mean, get into the studio and record new music.
- 24:45Dayna Roselli: Why?
- 24:46Dayna Roselli: And right, and be the first female artist to be announced at the sphere.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: I mean, all sorts of different so I'm like, I don't know.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: I hope somebody's on it.
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: Well, let's sell it out every single night.
- 24:59Sean McAllister: If anyone from Sphere is listening, let's manifest this.
- 25:04Dayna Roselli: Yes, let's make it happen.
- 25:05Sean McAllister: Taylor at Sphere Las Vegas.
- 25:08Dayna Roselli: That could be cool.
- 25:09Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's you know, it can't fit as many people as could be there, you know.
- 25:14Dayna Roselli: She's but that doesn't matter.
- 25:17Dayna Roselli: It's just high demand and it just sells out every night.
- 25:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 25:20SPEAKER_03: I mean it would.
- 25:21Dayna Roselli: I'm not sure she'd do it, but if you did need to do something different, you know, and wanted to do something.
- 25:27Dayna Roselli: I mean, if I was a creator and an artist, I'd be dying to get into the sphere.
- 25:32Sean McAllister: Oh my I mean, first of all, you'd have to wrap your head around the capabilities of the place, yeah, and then come up with some ideas that that are well suited to that.
- 25:43Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:44Sean McAllister: Which that could it could be a learning curve to get your mind thinking in that spherical realm.
- 25:50Sean McAllister: Right.
- 25:51Dayna Roselli: So hey, for all you uh listeners in England, did you know?
- 25:57Dayna Roselli: I'm sure you probably do, but just in case you didn't, Sir Richard Branson was here and announced uh new flights from Las Vegas to Manchester, which is awesome.
- 26:06Dayna Roselli: Um, and you know, obviously round trip.
- 26:09Dayna Roselli: And so that's really cool.
- 26:11Dayna Roselli: It's gonna operate three times per week.
- 26:13Dayna Roselli: They're using the Airbus A350-1000.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: The reason I say that too is a lot of our podcast listeners and people I see on Twitter get really into what type of plane.
- 26:24Sean McAllister: Yes, that's true.
- 26:24Sean McAllister: Well, especially for transatlantic flights.
- 26:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, it makes a difference.
- 26:29Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: It's fitted with economy, premium economy, and upper class cabins.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: So a good variation there, but it's a Manchester to Vegas service, and uh it's operating now.
- 26:41Dayna Roselli: The show girls were there to, you know, on the tarmac to greet the first flight and all that.
- 26:45Dayna Roselli: And so that's kind of cool.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: They already fly to uh Orlando, New York, and Atlanta, and so now they'll have the Vegas.
- 26:52Sean McAllister: And of course, uh Virgin Atlantic also does daily flights out of Heathrow as well.
- 26:57Sean McAllister: So this is in addition to another option to get you here uh easier and quicker.
- 27:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, different part of there.
- 27:06Dayna Roselli: Um I love Virgin Atlantic.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: Whenever I go to London, I fly, I fly that.
- 27:10Dayna Roselli: I've taken British Airways, I don't mind it, but I I I do prefer Virgin Atlantic.
- 27:14Dayna Roselli: I like their meals.
- 27:15Sean McAllister: Ooh, okay.
- 27:16Sean McAllister: All right.
- 27:17Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: Well, let's do some tips now, even though we just did a bunch of tips.
- 27:21Dayna Roselli: Let's do more.
- 27:24Sean McAllister: At the top of the show, Dana, we mentioned that it has been like ridiculously hot.
- 27:29Sean McAllister: So the other night it was once again after sundown and well above 100 degrees.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: And I was like, oh, I just want some good like ice cream or frozen custard.
- 27:41Sean McAllister: And I saw a post online of somebody saying that the frozen custard at Rio at the new Canteen Food Hall was delicious and stacks it up against any of the famous frozen custards out there.
- 27:56Sean McAllister: So I said, okay, let's go give it a try.
- 27:59Sean McAllister: And it was absolutely delicious.
- 28:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you loved it.
- 28:03Sean McAllister: I absolutely loved it.
- 28:04Sean McAllister: I just had plain vanilla custard.
- 28:06Sean McAllister: They do have toppings that you can put on, like uh brown butter cookie crumbles, uh, they have sprinkles of different varieties, some other toppings as well.
- 28:17Sean McAllister: Um, but just the plain vanilla was so good.
- 28:21Sean McAllister: It's just so rich and creamy, and it hit the spot.
- 28:26Sean McAllister: And for five bucks, you get a really good-sized cup.
- 28:29Sean McAllister: Like I could have probably done fine with just half of the cup.
- 28:34Dayna Roselli: Really?
- 28:35Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 28:35Sean McAllister: So they give great serving sizes and for five bucks.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: That's good.
- 28:39Sean McAllister: And this is at uh Tender Crush, which is the chicken tender uh stand that's right there.
- 28:46Sean McAllister: It's the first thing you get to if you're walking over to the food hall from the casino over at Rio.
- 28:53Sean McAllister: Um, so I highly recommend it.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: Okay, that's good to know.
- 28:57Dayna Roselli: And they do have different flavors.
- 28:59Sean McAllister: Uh or whether I believe it's just a vanilla custard.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: Okay, just a vanilla custard.
- 29:04Sean McAllister: But you have some topping choices.
- 29:06Dayna Roselli: Oh, I see.
- 29:06Dayna Roselli: Okay, just a vanilla with the top is interesting.
- 29:08Dayna Roselli: Okay, good to know.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, a lot of people enjoying that canteen food hall.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Um, so I I love to hear that.
- 29:14Dayna Roselli: And it's a it's another spot.
- 29:15Dayna Roselli: And didn't you say you ordered it ahead of time?
- 29:18Sean McAllister: Uh or something?
- 29:20Sean McAllister: You can.
- 29:20Sean McAllister: You can order it from if you scan the QR codes that are around the food hall, you can order right from the app and then go pick it up at the stand.
- 29:28Sean McAllister: But um, we ended up going to the window because they were shutting the machine down to clean it.
- 29:34SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 29:35Sean McAllister: And so they took it off the app.
- 29:36Sean McAllister: So we got the last serving of the night.
- 29:39Sean McAllister: And by the way, they do clean the machines around 9 30.
- 29:43Sean McAllister: So go by nine to get your frozen custard.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: Good to know.
- 29:47Dayna Roselli: Good to know.
- 29:48Dayna Roselli: All right, well, here's something else, because you saw this, Sean, just now, and actually, I haven't even really read it yet, but um, you thought we might need to get this in because it's uh quite a deal.
- 29:57Dayna Roselli: Starting at 99 bucks, you can party all day, party all night, and it's called the Las Vegas Party Pass, and apparently it just got even better than it used to be.
- 30:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, this pass is good at any of the Tau Group nightclub and day clubs.
- 30:15Sean McAllister: So, as you said, starting at 99 bucks, you can get a pass that gets you unlimited entry into all of their nightclubs throughout the day.
- 30:24Sean McAllister: So that includes Hakasan, Omnia, Wet Republic, Jewel Nightclub, Tau Nightclub, Tau Beach, Marquee Nightclub, and Marquee Day Club.
- 30:35Dayna Roselli: Okay, that's a great deal.
- 30:37Dayna Roselli: Access is everything because you don't uh want to have to worry about it.
- 30:40Sean McAllister: Right.
- 30:41Sean McAllister: It's guaranteed unlimited access.
- 30:43Sean McAllister: So that is this is I think this is a great thing for anybody who's coming to town specifically for day life and nightlife activities.
- 30:52Sean McAllister: This is a must.
- 30:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:54Dayna Roselli: And you can get it at taugroup.com.
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: I because I Googled it to see, and I'm seeing like DJ Pauly D, fight weekend.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: He's at Marquee, TS Do's doing fight weekend at Wet Republic.
- 31:03Dayna Roselli: That's you know, June 29th, um, this weekend.
- 31:06Dayna Roselli: And then um, they got the whole list of everyone that's everywhere, all the different DJs, Steve Aoki doing Hawkasan.
- 31:13Dayna Roselli: Um, so a full oh, Sophie Tucker will be over at Tau Beach.
- 31:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, a great lineup everywhere you look, and then you'll get access and won't have to worry about it.
- 31:24Dayna Roselli: We don't know exactly how it works, but if you do get one and try it, you know, again, text us.
- 31:29Dayna Roselli: It's in our show notes and let us know how it went.
- 31:31Sean McAllister: And the uh party all day, party all night passes are good Thursday through Sunday, and that also includes uh Mondays when it falls on a long weekend.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's good.
- 31:45Dayna Roselli: That's great.
- 31:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really great.
- 31:47Dayna Roselli: Hey, uh, you probably hear our Vegas Near Me uh commercials.
- 31:50Dayna Roselli: They sponsor the audio podcast, and we love to try and get as much information in there as we can to let you know what that app includes.
- 31:58Dayna Roselli: But something I noticed in my notes the other day, Sean, that we didn't get in in this week's is um they do have the seating charts now for the different theaters in there, and they're building that.
- 32:09Dayna Roselli: And that is great because I am one of those people that is constantly like Googling seating charts.
- 32:14Dayna Roselli: Like, where can I sit?
- 32:16Dayna Roselli: Where is it to the stage?
- 32:18Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, they're constantly updating Vegas near me.
- 32:21Dayna Roselli: Again, you can download it for free in the Google or Apple App Store, and it has so much information.
- 32:28Sean McAllister: Also, uh, we want to say a big thank you to our presenting sponsor, Level Up Law.
- 32:33Sean McAllister: If you have uh any legal needs, just give them a call.
- 32:37Sean McAllister: It's a free consultation, 855 Level Up.
- 32:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, or you can go to leveluplaw.com.
- 32:44Dayna Roselli: A lot of people asking us about level up, and so um we love that.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: We recommend them.
- 32:49Dayna Roselli: They've been a great title sponsor for us.
- 32:52Dayna Roselli: Thank you to all our subscribers who help us keep the audio podcast alive.
- 32:57Dayna Roselli: We appreciate you so much.
- 33:00Dayna Roselli: We really, really do.
- 33:02Dayna Roselli: And next week, like Sean said, we're doing a special show on the sphere for the one-year anniversary.
- 33:07Dayna Roselli: I am taking off some time to go to upstate New York.
- 33:10Dayna Roselli: So um, we'll admit we're probably gonna take the TV version and make it into an audio version, but all the information is there and we listen and it sounds really good.
- 33:19Dayna Roselli: The following week, we're gonna do some of the family activities that we've done.
- 33:22Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna try and give you new information, even though we are taking a couple weeks off.
- 33:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, so uh such is the case with with summertime, right?
- 33:31Dayna Roselli: With everyone.
- 33:32Dayna Roselli: I'm getting all the I mean, every person I write to out of office, out of office, out of office, out of office.
- 33:38Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, well, then why are we all working?
- 33:39Dayna Roselli: Shouldn't everyone just take the summer off?
- 33:43Dayna Roselli: I love it, but there's always so much to talk about.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: So, and of course, you can follow us on all our socials.
- 33:47Dayna Roselli: We keep those updated all the time, every day.
