- 2:17Speaker 2: a weekend, I'm going you know, there were some highs
- 2:20Speaker 2: of my weekend, some absolute lows. The low's being not
- 2:23Speaker 2: being able to watch football.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Yeah that's fair, and that's a that's a pretty dramatic
- 2:27Speaker 4: low this time of the year.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah. We covered it on our football recap
- 2:31Speaker 2: that was dropped yesterday, if you want to go check
- 2:33Speaker 2: that out. We talked NFL college had a great weekend
- 2:37Speaker 2: with my boy Brad Lebron.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Sorry, it sounds like your line.
- 2:43Speaker 2: Brad Lebron got married over the weekend show. Shout out
- 2:47Speaker 2: the Biscuit. It was out in Sleepy Hollow, Bro, you
- 2:50Speaker 2: would love sleepy Hollow.
- 2:53Speaker 4: I know, I gotta still text Brad ta congratulations on
- 2:55Speaker 4: getting married.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I mean, sleepy Hollow is Halloween town.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Bro, sleepy hollow, headless horseman, like I've never been. I
- 3:05Speaker 4: can't wait to hear about it.
- 3:06Speaker 2: But yes, yes, shout out Chris. At Bridgeview Tavern wrapped
- 3:12Speaker 2: around the building two hour waight. We walked by him.
- 3:17Speaker 2: He's like, oh, welcome to the bridge View TWARER. He's like,
- 3:19Speaker 2: you look like Will Compton. I was like yes, sir.
- 3:21Speaker 2: He's like you're Will. I'm like yeah. He's like oh shit.
- 3:24Speaker 2: He's like, oh yeah, Nebraska. You got the Nebraska gear.
- 3:26Speaker 2: He's a massive busting fan. Hooked us up with some
- 3:29Speaker 2: T shirts and he was talking. He was a long line.
- 3:32Speaker 2: We're standing in the line. He's telling everybody how it's
- 3:34Speaker 2: going to be a two hour wait. So charl and
- 3:36Speaker 2: I we walked back to the car because we got
- 3:38Speaker 2: to go somewhere quick, because we got to get to uh,
- 3:40Speaker 2: we got to get to the venue. We got to
- 3:41Speaker 2: get to check in do all this stuff because there
- 3:43Speaker 2: are some events coming up for Brad. And uh, we
- 3:47Speaker 2: get in the car. He starts approaching the car, He's like, hey,
- 3:51Speaker 2: you go around back here, that little that little hole
- 3:54Speaker 2: in the gate, that little hole in the fence. You
- 3:56Speaker 2: go through there. I'll meet you at the back door.
- 3:58Speaker 2: He walks us through the back kitchen, gets us seated.
- 4:01Speaker 2: We get a nice spot at the bar so we
- 4:03Speaker 2: can watch the Huskers play. And Chris took care of
- 4:06Speaker 2: took care of us, I was gonna say, took care
- 4:08Speaker 2: of the boys, took care of my wife and I.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So we got to enjoy. The food was great, the
- 4:12Speaker 2: vibes were great.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Man.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so shout out Chris or some of the best people.
- 4:20Speaker 2: They just make it happen.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Yeah. We had Rochester.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right, dude, Rocket that place that was awesome.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Wedding was beautiful.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Wedding was great. Man.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Did Brad cryor no?
- 4:36Speaker 2: Uh, he got close a couple of times, but no,
- 4:39Speaker 2: it didn't fully get there.
- 4:40Speaker 4: And you were how many grooms been did he have zero?
- 4:43Speaker 2: He just had his son standing up there and Alex
- 4:46Speaker 2: had Emma, Brad's daughter standing beside her.
- 4:49Speaker 4: That's awesome. That's awesome because you said in the Reaction
- 4:52Speaker 4: show there's a couple of things you had to do
- 4:53Speaker 4: for the wedding.
- 4:54Speaker 2: I had to give a speech.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Well, I'm sure it went great.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Yeah. We were at Nick's Pizza. I had a little pizza,
- 4:59Speaker 2: s bought, quieted down the crowd, brought everybody in tight.
- 5:03Speaker 2: You gave a little three to five minutes speel very
- 5:05Speaker 2: nice and it worked out well. Stands up, hugs me,
- 5:08Speaker 2: tells me how much he loves me, and I'm just like,
- 5:11Speaker 2: I've really got you based on the way you gave
- 5:13Speaker 2: your speech at my wedding. Yeah, it was like, dude,
- 5:17Speaker 2: I know, I'm sitting there listening. I'm like, bro, I
- 5:19Speaker 2: couldn't have went oh yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Oh buddy.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It was it was you know some heis and lows
- 5:26Speaker 2: of that wedding, that being one of the lows, Brad, Like,
- 5:30Speaker 2: you know, I'm telling him how I'm going to propose
- 5:31Speaker 2: to Charrow and everything laying out, and he's like, bro,
- 5:34Speaker 2: please let me give it, like, let me talk, let
- 5:37Speaker 2: me talk about you at your wedding. And I was like,
- 5:40Speaker 2: all right, bro, I'll you know, if you want to talk.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Probably dress rehearsal, you can give a speech, and so
- 5:46Speaker 2: Brad probably whenever we started planning for the wedding, he
- 5:49Speaker 2: knew he was going to give a speech at my wedding.
- 5:51Speaker 2: We get to the wedding or we get to the
- 5:53Speaker 2: dress rehearsal where he's going to give a speech, and
- 5:55Speaker 2: it was just kind of the wedding party and Brad,
- 5:58Speaker 2: you know, he's got crippling anxiety, gets very socially awkward,
- 6:02Speaker 2: and it was taking a toll on him, so much
- 6:04Speaker 2: so that he started to pound alcohol, which is not
- 6:06Speaker 2: a big drinker. He gets sighed. He's drunk. Now stands
- 6:11Speaker 2: up there to deliver a speech and the majority of
- 6:13Speaker 2: the speech was just fumbling over words and apologizing.
- 6:19Speaker 4: That is Oh, you know, it pained him so much, dude,
- 6:22Speaker 4: exactly what happened.
- 6:24Speaker 2: It's pained him so much, dude, that he was in
- 6:27Speaker 2: town a few months ago and we had one of
- 6:31Speaker 2: our nights where we stay up to about one or
- 6:33Speaker 2: two in the morning just chatting, and he went on
- 6:36Speaker 2: this long tangent and to where I'm like, hey, I
- 6:39Speaker 2: really I really appreciate you saying all that, and he
- 6:41Speaker 2: was like, that's what I wanted to say. At your wedding,
- 6:43Speaker 2: and we just started laughing because I'm like, bro, you
- 6:46Speaker 2: that wedding. That speech he gave was so funny because
- 6:51Speaker 2: there were a lot of moments too, like you know,
- 6:52Speaker 2: there was some disorganization going on about trying to figure
- 6:55Speaker 2: out who's gonna do what, we're we need to be
- 6:58Speaker 2: out for times and stuff because there was no like
- 7:00Speaker 2: wedding party or nothing else, so people's asking a bunch
- 7:03Speaker 2: of questions. Usually when all that's happening, it falls on
- 7:06Speaker 2: the bride and groom to deliver information where you want
- 7:08Speaker 2: to be more stress free when the big days there,
- 7:11Speaker 2: and uh to where several times he's like, hey, I
- 7:13Speaker 2: probably you don't have to say anything. You don't even
- 7:15Speaker 2: have to you don't have to give a speech. You
- 7:16Speaker 2: have to do it. Because the speech kind of changed
- 7:18Speaker 2: like am I going to do it the night before?
- 7:20Speaker 2: Am I going to do it at the wedding? Do
- 7:22Speaker 2: you want me to do it? There was a champagne
- 7:24Speaker 2: hour afterwards where her dad spoke like do you want
- 7:26Speaker 2: me to do it here? What do you want me
- 7:28Speaker 2: to say? Are you just wanting me to talk about
- 7:30Speaker 2: the story or do you want it? He's and he
- 7:31Speaker 2: kind of There was no boundaries until like the morning
- 7:34Speaker 2: of I was like, hey, am I speaking and uh
- 7:37Speaker 2: he was like yeah, I talked to Alex. Her sister's
- 7:40Speaker 2: gonna say something, so I want you to say something.
- 7:43Speaker 2: So that day, like within an hour's time, I'm like
- 7:45Speaker 2: mustering up a speech to say and he's like, you'll
- 7:48Speaker 2: do it at the at the pizza spot where we
- 7:50Speaker 2: all go after after the wedding. So that's how it
- 7:54Speaker 2: all got coordinated. It was It was a good time.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It was fun seeing everybody, seeing Brad's family, seeing everybody
- 7:59Speaker 2: kind of out. There's only about thirty people there. Small wedding,
- 8:02Speaker 2: but it was a it was a it was an
- 8:04Speaker 2: awesome time. Sleepy hollows fun fun spot to go, especially
- 8:08Speaker 2: during this time of year.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Was there a reason why they chose Sleepy Hollow? They
- 8:12Speaker 4: just wanted us.
- 8:12Speaker 2: So they're like, first like travel experience together was at
- 8:17Speaker 2: Sleepy Hollow. So they went, like they go like every
- 8:20Speaker 2: year out to Sleepy Hollow. So they were kind of
- 8:21Speaker 2: doing it as like a call to one of their
- 8:24Speaker 2: better moments together earlier in their relationship.
- 8:26Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 8:26Speaker 2: So everybody had to travel out to New York, travel
- 8:28Speaker 2: an hour and a half out to Sleepy Hollow, ran
- 8:30Speaker 2: cars like do they Oh listen, I'm not here to complain.
- 8:34Speaker 2: It was a bit of a deal getting everybody out there,
- 8:36Speaker 2: but it was a great time. Service was brutal, couldn't
- 8:41Speaker 2: watch any ball. Not here to complain.
- 8:45Speaker 5: I love that you're saying it was hard to get
- 8:46Speaker 5: thirty people out there.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's so funny too, because eventually somebody's like, uh, hey,
- 8:53Speaker 2: I forget who who on the guys. Like one of
- 8:56Speaker 2: the guys were like, hey, we should do like a
- 8:57Speaker 2: guy's breakfast the morning of the wedding, and like thirty
- 9:00Speaker 2: like hey we should do a guy's breakfast. Brad's like yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 2: I'm down, And then of course guy brains it ends
- 9:05Speaker 2: up happening like hey, where are we going to breakfast?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Are we doing breakfast? Brad ends up having to pick
- 9:09Speaker 2: out the spot and give everybody the information. See, bro,
- 9:14Speaker 2: this is where a wedding party helps you, because you
- 9:16Speaker 2: wouldn't have had to deal with all that stuff. And
- 9:18Speaker 2: we go out to the we have like a guy's
- 9:20Speaker 2: breakfast or whatever, and we're driving back and his brother
- 9:24Speaker 2: and his dad just just giving it to him, talk
- 9:26Speaker 2: just complaining about being out in New York, all small
- 9:31Speaker 2: town guy stuff, just bitching about moving Yeah, bitch, is
- 9:35Speaker 2: it about moving their feet? His brother was like, Hey, well,
- 9:38Speaker 2: I just want to let you know I'm not you know,
- 9:40Speaker 2: I don't feel any type of way about you being
- 9:42Speaker 2: selected to say a few words after the wedding and
- 9:44Speaker 2: Brad sitting there driving, he just kind of throws his
- 9:46Speaker 2: hands up, like I don't know what you want me
- 9:48Speaker 2: to say and do.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Oh bro, that's so funny, sounds like it sounds like
- 9:56Speaker 4: an awesome time.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a good time. And then he's busting
- 9:59Speaker 2: my balls. He's like, you're I'm back, and I'm like, bro,
- 10:01Speaker 2: we have to like we gotta work, like we got
- 10:03Speaker 2: to do stuff tomorrow. And so again we had to
- 10:06Speaker 2: like leave Nick's Pizza. I was like, hey, bro, if
- 10:09Speaker 2: you want me to say, if you want me to
- 10:10Speaker 2: like speak or do the speech, we're gonna have to
- 10:14Speaker 2: get roll because we're gonna have to leave here in
- 10:15Speaker 2: like thirty minutes to go through you know, you got
- 10:17Speaker 2: traffic going back to La Guardia. We gotta drop off
- 10:19Speaker 2: the rental car. We had a little delay because it
- 10:21Speaker 2: started raining. We landed probably we're sitting on the tarmac.
- 10:25Speaker 2: We probably landed in Nashville like one in the morning
- 10:27Speaker 2: last night. Last night, Yeah, WiFi wasn't working up in
- 10:31Speaker 2: the air because then I get the I get the
- 10:34Speaker 2: you know, I get our regiment, I get our schedule.
- 10:37Speaker 2: We're gonna be who we're gonna be interviewing. So I'm
- 10:39Speaker 2: trying to like, you know, come up. I'm trying to
- 10:41Speaker 2: look up Mike Elco, like his resume, his background, everything else,
- 10:45Speaker 2: trying to get caught up on some of the games,
- 10:47Speaker 2: some of the game notes, and there's no Wi Fi working,
- 10:50Speaker 2: and then you land. Then you're walking through the airport
- 10:52Speaker 2: of BNA. There are so many flights, like because we
- 10:54Speaker 2: landed it was like storm and it was like raining
- 10:56Speaker 2: pretty hard last night. There's two flights that were supposed
- 10:58Speaker 2: to head out, like I want to say it was
- 11:00Speaker 2: like Chicago Midway and Milwaukee. As we're walking through the
- 11:02Speaker 2: terminal that they're supposed to take off in between like
- 11:05Speaker 2: ten and ten thirty, their new departure time was like
- 11:07Speaker 2: one in the morning. They're lining up at the gate.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Is like, oh man, te's and peas to delay travel.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Yeah, delay travels tough man tough, tough, tough sounds like
- 11:16Speaker 4: overall though, four point.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Five strong, four point five good strong, four.
- 11:19Speaker 4: Point five Yeah, I take the good with the bats. Sometimes,
- 11:21Speaker 4: man shout out Brad, Yeah he deserves love. He does
- 11:24Speaker 4: this a guy like Brad deserves love. Yeah, yeah, Yeah,
- 11:28Speaker 4: that's awesome.
- 11:28Speaker 2: How was how is Orlando?
- 11:31Speaker 4: Buddy? I think it was the greatest family trip we've
- 11:34Speaker 4: ever had. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was incredible. Top
- 11:40Speaker 4: to Bob and we obviously we finished the stream Thursday night.
- 11:43Speaker 4: I get up at four in the morning to make
- 11:45Speaker 4: a six fifteen flight and you're like getting the kids
- 11:47Speaker 4: going and stuff like that and tailing it before we
- 11:49Speaker 4: go to bed and go. Listen, we got forty eight
- 11:52Speaker 4: hours in Disney World. There's going we're gonna be tired.
- 11:56Speaker 4: We're gonna have late nights, early mornings starting with right now,
- 12:00Speaker 4: we know that we're gonna get on each other's nerves.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Let's just ride. Anything bad that happens is just ride.
- 12:05Speaker 4: And Talen's She's like, you're one hundred percent right, wake
- 12:08Speaker 4: up in the morning. I'm a little more lethargic than
- 12:10Speaker 4: she is. Easy opportunity for her to get mad handles
- 12:14Speaker 4: business no problem, and they definitely like took over getting
- 12:16Speaker 4: the kids ready, while I'm kind of like fumbling and bubblow,
- 12:18Speaker 4: I took advantage of like I'll put the bags in
- 12:20Speaker 4: the back of the car, Like that was my move
- 12:23Speaker 4: to kind of chill. We get there. Kids are like
- 12:25Speaker 4: half awake, half asleep, do we lamb get to the hotel.
- 12:30Speaker 4: Hotel is like, hey, your room's not ready till four pm.
- 12:32Speaker 4: It's nine in the morning, which is in my mind
- 12:35Speaker 4: all good because we're gonna go like the hotel, where
- 12:38Speaker 4: as a contemporary one the right next to it, you
- 12:41Speaker 4: can literally see Magic Kingdom. You can see like the
- 12:43Speaker 4: iconic Princess Tower all that whoever it is, that one
- 12:46Speaker 4: right there.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, we go there.
- 12:48Speaker 4: There's a little breakfast spot and the theme of the
- 12:51Speaker 4: breakfast spot is Winnie the Pooh. Win's first favorite like
- 12:55Speaker 4: cartoon and Willow's first favorite cartoon is Winnie the Pooh,
- 12:59Speaker 4: So like getting teary eyed seeing like take her walk
- 13:02Speaker 4: by and they can both the kids are like this
- 13:06Speaker 4: is actually ticker, this is pickelet, this is or like
- 13:09Speaker 4: they are over the moon that they are there, and
- 13:12Speaker 4: then like Winnie the Pooh, he doesn't go around to
- 13:14Speaker 4: other places like the lady's breaking it down for us,
- 13:16Speaker 4: Miss Gwen. She's breaking down, like, hey, the animals come
- 13:18Speaker 4: over here every ninety minutes. There's a rotation. If you
- 13:21Speaker 4: want to stay, if you want to meet all the
- 13:22Speaker 4: animals the first, you have to be here for at
- 13:23Speaker 4: least ninety minutes. To me, it's a long ass breakfast.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I'm thinking, if the kids want, that's what we're gonna do.
- 13:29Speaker 4: There's usually a massive line for winning the Pooh There's
- 13:31Speaker 4: are two people, so take advantage of this. Right now,
- 13:34Speaker 4: we get up there. We need the Poo's there, the
- 13:36Speaker 4: sweetest little Pooh Bear you've ever Like, whoever's in that
- 13:40Speaker 4: little suit handled business exactly like Pooh Bear would get
- 13:43Speaker 4: the photo. We get just the kids, then the whole
- 13:45Speaker 4: family and we sit down and within the first twenty
- 13:49Speaker 4: minutes all the animals came through and we like happened
- 13:52Speaker 4: to hit him right in like during their stride. So
- 13:54Speaker 4: it was just right there, ma'am. And uh yeah, those guys,
- 13:59Speaker 4: dude was it was just like seeing the kids light
- 14:02Speaker 4: up the like the way they were was like this
- 14:05Speaker 4: is why you do it, Like this is why you
- 14:06Speaker 4: spend the money, this is why you go and you
- 14:09Speaker 4: get the lightning past all that because The first place
- 14:11Speaker 4: we go to is the Bayou. It's like this water one.
- 14:14Speaker 4: It's like a New Orleans theme one, and it's like
- 14:16Speaker 4: their first It's gonna be the first drop that the
- 14:18Speaker 4: kids ever go down. And a lot of parents would
- 14:21Speaker 4: sit there and be like, Oh, it's okay, this is
- 14:23Speaker 4: just gonna happen. I'm trying to get my kids head
- 14:26Speaker 4: a little bit. I want to see where they're a
- 14:27Speaker 4: mental fortitudes at standing in this line. So I'm like,
- 14:29Speaker 4: hate this drops pretty baked, Like, well, what's gonna be
- 14:31Speaker 4: like all your stomach's gonna go up in the air.
- 14:33Speaker 4: You're gonna feel like you're falling. It's gonna be crazy.
- 14:36Speaker 4: It's gonna be crazy. Kids meeting head on, They're like,
- 14:38Speaker 4: let's do this thing, and this ride is awesome. They're
- 14:41Speaker 4: all the animatronics, those little things. Kids like reaching the
- 14:44Speaker 4: air like majestically, like reaching for like a plant and
- 14:47Speaker 4: like touching the leaf as it goes by, and I'm
- 14:49Speaker 4: like seeing where those face light up. Loves it hit
- 14:52Speaker 4: the drop. They're obsessed with the drop. They're all about
- 14:54Speaker 4: the drop. And then we like kind of we tackle
- 14:56Speaker 4: for that whole entire day. We tackle Magic Kingdom that's
- 14:59Speaker 4: all we're doing because the next day we have like
- 15:01Speaker 4: the tour guide that's gonna take us to all three
- 15:03Speaker 4: other worlds, and we have like the Lightning Lane for
- 15:07Speaker 4: the Lightning Lane that kind of like we did at
- 15:09Speaker 4: the Pro Bowl a couple of years ago. Yeah, and dude,
- 15:14Speaker 4: it was. It was fucking awesome. We hit all the rides.
- 15:17Speaker 4: There's we go back to the hotel for like an hour,
- 15:20Speaker 4: just kind of like chill for a second before we
- 15:22Speaker 4: go to Mickey Mouse is not so scary Halloween that
- 15:25Speaker 4: takes place like seven pm to ten, And I'm thinking
- 15:28Speaker 4: of myself, Dude, there is not a chance in hell
- 15:30Speaker 4: we make it to ten. These kids have been up
- 15:31Speaker 4: since four, they went to bed at their regular time.
- 15:34Speaker 4: They're running on e emotions are kind of getting high,
- 15:37Speaker 4: more wind than it is Willow. Like Wind's definitely feeling
- 15:40Speaker 4: the emotion of the day or the how long of
- 15:42Speaker 4: a day it's been. And I'm like, there's no way
- 15:44Speaker 4: we get to Magic Kingdom. My phone's dead. Taylor's phone
- 15:49Speaker 4: is working, and they're like our nanny. She's like a
- 15:53Speaker 4: big she's a big Disney goer, and she's like, hey,
- 15:55Speaker 4: the parade that takes place at like eight point fifteen.
- 16:00Speaker 4: You need to get a spot for like an hour
- 16:01Speaker 4: before and they have like these bags where like they
- 16:04Speaker 4: do a great job because they have a map and
- 16:06Speaker 4: all these little pumpkins on the map where the kids
- 16:07Speaker 4: can essentially go trick or treating. So we go scat
- 16:10Speaker 4: at a spot. Tailing is like one of us has
- 16:13Speaker 4: to stay and basically claim our ground, I know, as
- 16:16Speaker 4: the father, Like that is textbook dad, Move, You've got
- 16:19Speaker 4: to stand there. But my phone is dead. So we
- 16:22Speaker 4: get there like seven, find our spot around seven to ten,
- 16:26Speaker 4: and I'm chilling for an hour and five minutes just
- 16:28Speaker 4: standing there, not sitting like bro. True, like I'm earning
- 16:33Speaker 4: my stripes as a father moment to where I don't
- 16:36Speaker 4: know if y'all looked up for your phone in a minute.
- 16:37Speaker 4: There's some crazy motherfuckers that are ripping around Disney World,
- 16:40Speaker 4: some wild ass cats. These people on scooters.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Bro.
- 16:44Speaker 4: They think they have the right of way everywhere they go,
- 16:47Speaker 4: and they're running in mobs at times. I saw a
- 16:49Speaker 4: fleet of them in a flying ve going up the
- 16:51Speaker 4: road just mowing people over, like people are walking up
- 16:55Speaker 4: on me. I had four water bottles. I won't say
- 16:58Speaker 4: the brand name. But I had four water bottles, like
- 17:00Speaker 4: kind of staking out my piece of land that's right
- 17:02Speaker 4: on the curb. And I have like dads, and more
- 17:07Speaker 4: than just dads, it's the it's the Karen moms. The
- 17:11Speaker 4: mom's kind of rolling up on you and they're not
- 17:13Speaker 4: saying nothing to you, but they're kind of standing in
- 17:15Speaker 4: your area to where you got to take a step
- 17:17Speaker 4: towards them, not look at them, but you're kind of
- 17:20Speaker 4: like you're peacocking a little bit, like this is my
- 17:22Speaker 4: don't even fucking try me. So for an hour and
- 17:26Speaker 4: five minutes, I'm holding ground down. Kids get there. Right
- 17:30Speaker 4: before it starts off, the whole part goes dark and
- 17:35Speaker 4: the princess castle like becomes like a backdrop to where
- 17:39Speaker 4: they're telling stories on it. There's fireworks going off on it,
- 17:44Speaker 4: and then the whole part goes dead quiet and you
- 17:46Speaker 4: just hear and the headless horseman starts off the parade
- 17:51Speaker 4: by that's like trotting through on this big ass perch
- 17:54Speaker 4: run and then who comes out? Who's the singer from
- 17:59Speaker 4: the Goofy movie?
- 18:00Speaker 6: Be Oh, I know this, I know, I know it's
- 18:06Speaker 6: something wire uh.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I know because I was like when he came out.
- 18:09Speaker 4: I was like, oh shit, and Wing goes goofy movie
- 18:12Speaker 4: and I gone. This dude comes out fifteen twenty people
- 18:17Speaker 4: choreograph dance and he's hitting the greatest hits where you're
- 18:20Speaker 4: hitting the piece of nostalagist you here like this is incredible.
- 18:23Speaker 4: And as he's finishing, like Disney World does an amazing
- 18:27Speaker 4: job of like you're looking away and as you're like, okay,
- 18:30Speaker 4: I've seen that enough sits look back to your right.
- 18:33Speaker 4: The next attraction for whatever's coming is there, and they're
- 18:37Speaker 4: all so interactive. They come up. One character that came
- 18:40Speaker 4: in and like pulls one of those on sorry I
- 18:42Speaker 4: hit your nose, pulls one of those on win, and
- 18:44Speaker 4: another one like kind of chose a spooky Willow a
- 18:46Speaker 4: little bit like they're having a blast in the in
- 18:50Speaker 4: the warm. My heart is like so full and warm
- 18:53Speaker 4: watching my kids like just starstrug about all these Disney
- 18:56Speaker 4: characters going by. Some woman comes in and snipes a
- 19:00Speaker 4: little piece of my territory with one child and has
- 19:03Speaker 4: them sit right next to winning Willow and she's now
- 19:05Speaker 4: pressing into my area. That pissed me off, but I
- 19:09Speaker 4: let it go. But the whole parade was amazing. We
- 19:13Speaker 4: end up hitting a couple of things and then the
- 19:14Speaker 4: fireworks show takes off. It's Jack Skellington and Mickey Minnie
- 19:18Speaker 4: Goofy and they're displaying the storyline taking place with like
- 19:23Speaker 4: going into a haunted mansion on the castle while fireworks
- 19:26Speaker 4: are going off. It's just it was awesome.
- 19:30Speaker 5: Bro.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Kids are having a full melt down at the end
- 19:32Speaker 4: of the night. It's perfect. I've got one over her shoulder.
- 19:34Speaker 4: I'm holding like this big ass Lee Low and Stitch
- 19:37Speaker 4: get back, get the kids to sleep, like eleven PM.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Up at eight, and then we have this tour guide
- 19:43Speaker 4: name Austin. Shout out Austin.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Dude.
- 19:45Speaker 4: He's like got the fun uniform, a little hat. He's
- 19:49Speaker 4: kind of laying it all out for us of how
- 19:50Speaker 4: the day's gonna go. And I didn't know if it
- 19:54Speaker 4: was gonna be Like I had the Pro Bowl. What
- 19:55Speaker 4: they did was they basically walk you in the back room,
- 19:57Speaker 4: then you get right to the front of the line.
- 19:58Speaker 4: And I thought like there'd be be a little bit
- 20:00Speaker 4: different because the NFL put that on before. It's the
- 20:02Speaker 4: exact same dude, where they would take us, like we
- 20:05Speaker 4: went to Animal Kingdom and we hit the Safari early
- 20:09Speaker 4: in the morning because apparently all the animals were out,
- 20:10Speaker 4: saw all the animals, and then go to Pandora where we.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Do that Avatar ride Crazy.
- 20:17Speaker 4: It was crazy, and it's like it hits all the
- 20:20Speaker 4: senses for you and you're essentially on the back of
- 20:22Speaker 4: this banshee flying around, but like you can feel the
- 20:25Speaker 4: banchi like breathing between your legsies. You're like saddled on it.
- 20:28Speaker 4: Kids are in it. We ride it once, kids want
- 20:30Speaker 4: to write it again. They're like, yeah, no problem, to
- 20:32Speaker 4: stay in your seats and let us ride it again.
- 20:35Speaker 4: And the second time there's like this big, like this
- 20:37Speaker 4: feeling of you dropping. I'm sitting next to Willow and
- 20:41Speaker 4: as the drop happens, this is one of my favorite
- 20:43Speaker 4: parts of the whole entire strip. Willow leans back and
- 20:47Speaker 4: puts her hands out like this like take me. She's
- 20:50Speaker 4: immersed in the ride so much. I'm like it was
- 20:54Speaker 4: like like it brings a tear to your eye moment.
- 20:56Speaker 4: As a father, bro, You're like, this is so incredible,
- 21:00Speaker 4: and it's like it's a it's a top tier ride.
- 21:02Speaker 4: So we hit everything at Animal Kingdom, do this Jurassic
- 21:05Speaker 4: Park one, which is also dope, and then we.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Go the Velosa Coaster.
- 21:10Speaker 4: It's not a veloss of coaster. It's like you don't
- 21:12Speaker 4: drop or anything. Like You're in this like rocket ship
- 21:14Speaker 4: type of thing and you're getting this like space animal
- 21:18Speaker 4: egg and there's a media you're coming so there's it's
- 21:20Speaker 4: like a time sensitive thing. You end up bailing on
- 21:22Speaker 4: the egg and the egg ends up making it. But
- 21:24Speaker 4: when Willow was like, I don't want to go on
- 21:26Speaker 4: the ride, we told her, hey, this is probably a
- 21:27Speaker 4: scary rider. Austin did Willow oh Wing goes on the ride.
- 21:31Speaker 4: She loved the ride, like this kid's bulletproof. At this point,
- 21:33Speaker 4: I'm thinking we're hitting all the rides. I'm telling them
- 21:35Speaker 4: about Tower of Terror, which is my personal favorite. So
- 21:38Speaker 4: we hit that. We go from Animal Kingdom to Hollywood
- 21:42Speaker 4: Studios where more of like the big kid rides are.
- 21:44Speaker 4: We hit that Slinky Dog ride, a toy story about
- 21:46Speaker 4: seven times. Bro go to the other side. They do
- 21:49Speaker 4: this whole development. It costs one billion dollars to make
- 21:52Speaker 4: the Star Wars side. One billion dollars. Four hundred and
- 21:56Speaker 4: fifty million of that was the one ride. So he's like,
- 22:00Speaker 4: if you like the avatar, you're gonna love this. I
- 22:03Speaker 4: texted you, yeah, Like it's everything and more.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Bro.
- 22:06Speaker 4: It is unbelievable, scared the shit out a willow. It
- 22:12Speaker 4: depends what you like in Riodes. Me personally, I like
- 22:15Speaker 4: the fear of like the drop, so it wouldn't be
- 22:17Speaker 4: in mind. But as far as like special effects everything,
- 22:20Speaker 4: Like you walk into this room right here that they're
- 22:22Speaker 4: showing on the screen, and it's like you're a part
- 22:25Speaker 4: of the resistance. You get docked by the bad guys
- 22:28Speaker 4: whatever they are. You go in, they pull you in
- 22:31Speaker 4: and they're like they're like, come with us, and so
- 22:33Speaker 4: you go and they put you in this prison cell
- 22:35Speaker 4: and one of like the Darth Vader esque individuals is like,
- 22:37Speaker 4: we're gonna get it out of you. We're gonna talk
- 22:40Speaker 4: through everything, blah blah blah, we're gonna get yeah no
- 22:42Speaker 4: hell nine and stanch he walks away. All of a sudden,
- 22:46Speaker 4: a laser, a like a lightsaber type of thing opens
- 22:48Speaker 4: the door up, and it's the resistance like, come with us, hurry,
- 22:52Speaker 4: So you get in. You get in these carts and
- 22:53Speaker 4: they're like we've hacked these carts for you to get
- 22:55Speaker 4: out and the carts are like flying around. Then those
- 22:58Speaker 4: were those guys. The white guys have the storm stormtroopers.
- 23:02Speaker 4: They see you and they start shooting lasers that you you're
- 23:05Speaker 4: seeing the lasers like fly by you and hit and
- 23:07Speaker 4: like burn the wall while you're going. That's the part
- 23:10Speaker 4: that fucked though it was bro you walked away. You're like,
- 23:13Speaker 4: we're legitimately in space right now, WILLI finished, He goes,
- 23:16Speaker 4: how do we get back from space that fast? Like
- 23:18Speaker 4: that's like that's how like realistic. It was a crazy
- 23:22Speaker 4: ass ride. I would have wrote it again, but Will
- 23:24Speaker 4: it wasn't having it. That slinky dog ride though. We
- 23:27Speaker 4: hit that thing over and over and then we get
- 23:29Speaker 4: to uh the rock and roller coaster, which is this is.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's like the one ride if you're chasing
- 23:36Speaker 2: the highs of like roller coasters, because really it's like
- 23:39Speaker 2: Islands of Adventure has a lot of the good ones,
- 23:41Speaker 2: a lot of the good coasters.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Yeah, Universal Studios is much more like adult scary rides,
- 23:46Speaker 4: but this is like the one ride.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that like you feel so you get to feel something.
- 23:50Speaker 4: You get to feel something. And Taylor's like, I don't
- 23:52Speaker 4: know if the kids should go on this. So what
- 23:54Speaker 4: we do is Tailor and I go on the ride first,
- 23:57Speaker 4: and even before the ride takes off, towns like wind
- 23:59Speaker 4: can't handle it, we can't do I'm like, Sweetie, like,
- 24:02Speaker 4: let's find out for ourselves that motherfucker took off. And
- 24:05Speaker 4: I'm thinking we're in the middle of the right, we're
- 24:07Speaker 4: going upside down a loop. I'm like, hey, you right,
- 24:09Speaker 4: kids probably won't like this one. So we get done
- 24:11Speaker 4: with it, and the kids have like this big ass
- 24:14Speaker 4: soft serve ice cream, and I look at when I go, honey,
- 24:17Speaker 4: you're big enough. You're safe enough to go on the ride.
- 24:19Speaker 4: I'll tell you this like it's it's I think it
- 24:22Speaker 4: might be too scary for you. If you want to go,
- 24:25Speaker 4: Daddy will go with you. I can promise you that
- 24:26Speaker 4: you're safe. They would never put you on a roller
- 24:29Speaker 4: coaster or a ride that I think you'd be safe.
- 24:31Speaker 4: And but if you want to go, we can do it.
- 24:33Speaker 4: Takes your ice cream, looks me in the eyes and
- 24:36Speaker 4: puts it down. She goes, let's go. So we walk
- 24:39Speaker 4: up there, dude, and they're like, what roa do you
- 24:41Speaker 4: want to be? I was like, put us in the back,
- 24:42Speaker 4: got to get the full speed. This is when's first
- 24:44Speaker 4: real roller coaster. And we're like standing like the next
- 24:49Speaker 4: cart is about to come to take all of us.
- 24:51Speaker 4: And I'm sitting there and I go, hey, if you
- 24:53Speaker 4: don't want to do this, now is the time to bail.
- 24:57Speaker 4: She's like, bail. What's bailing? I was like, not do
- 24:59Speaker 4: it because once they put us in that, Daddy, we
- 25:02Speaker 4: we have to do the rock. She's like, we're doing it.
- 25:06Speaker 4: We sitting, we sit in the back. The thing goes
- 25:09Speaker 4: and cranks her in. Dad, I don't want to do this.
- 25:15Speaker 4: I go in, baby, I'm telling you, we can do this.
- 25:20Speaker 4: We can do this. She starts bawling, like crying. Different fear, ye,
- 25:25Speaker 4: different fear. And I put it's like a movie. I
- 25:29Speaker 4: put up my hand. I'm like, take my hand, both
- 25:32Speaker 4: hands wrap, squeeze me like white knuckle tight, and I go, honey,
- 25:36Speaker 4: we this is gonna be the hardest part of the
- 25:38Speaker 4: ride is right now, not knowing what's going to happen.
- 25:41Speaker 4: And we are no, it's a it's a standstill one.
- 25:44Speaker 4: It does yeah, it doesn't like crank up slow with
- 25:47Speaker 4: your anticipation, like you sit there and the lead singer
- 25:49Speaker 4: of Aerosmith Steven.
- 25:50Speaker 2: You get to pick yourself. You need to pick your song.
- 25:53Speaker 4: No, no, no, you don't get pick your song on the
- 25:55Speaker 4: rock and rolling. No, this is just an aerosmith. I
- 25:58Speaker 4: got you roller coaster and you sit there and then
- 26:02Speaker 4: you take off like zero sixty and whatever, and when
- 26:05Speaker 4: is she's she's freaking out. She's having a really hard time,
- 26:09Speaker 4: and I'm like, sweetie, we've made this commitment. I promise
- 26:12Speaker 4: you you're gonna be safe at the end of this.
- 26:13Speaker 4: I bet you you're gonna be all right. And we
- 26:16Speaker 4: take off and she screams her face up. The first
- 26:19Speaker 4: thing that happens on that ride is a loop like
- 26:22Speaker 4: you're going and you're immediately in a backflip and we're
- 26:25Speaker 4: taking off, and I'm like, this is gonna be the
- 26:27Speaker 4: hardest part right now, and we do the flipball like
- 26:30Speaker 4: the rest of it's easy. We get done with the ride,
- 26:33Speaker 4: and I'm like, how do you feel? And she's like
- 26:35Speaker 4: wiping her eyes. She goes, We've got to do it again.
- 26:38Speaker 4: That was that was incredible. And I was like, We're
- 26:42Speaker 4: like high five and hugging, kissing, like, dude, you just
- 26:44Speaker 4: did your first like big person roller coaster. I could
- 26:47Speaker 4: not be more proud of you. Then we have a
- 26:49Speaker 4: nice little teaching moment. I'm like, hey, what was the
- 26:52Speaker 4: hardest part about that ride? She goes, probably the loop?
- 26:54Speaker 4: I go was it the loop or was it the
- 26:55Speaker 4: fear of what might happen before? And She's like the
- 26:58Speaker 4: fear of what might happen before? And I was like,
- 27:00Speaker 4: what's the quote?
- 27:00Speaker 2: Dad?
- 27:00Speaker 4: He always tells you. She goes, those who suffered before
- 27:02Speaker 4: it's necessary, suffer more more than necessary, like hit it,
- 27:05Speaker 4: spot on and buddy all time?
- 27:09Speaker 2: Is the uh? Is it? What is it called? Like
- 27:12Speaker 2: the is it the rip and red rocket?
- 27:14Speaker 4: That is it Universal?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Because Taylor's in the same area, because.
- 27:18Speaker 4: The the Hollywood studios in Universal are very similar, like
- 27:22Speaker 4: they kind of give you similar vibes, and Taylor was
- 27:24Speaker 4: thinking that was the same thing. She's like, oh, I thought,
- 27:26Speaker 4: because it's the one that kind of goes and you're
- 27:27Speaker 4: like dangling a little bit, right, Yeah, you go, you
- 27:30Speaker 4: shoot and then you kind of go backwards as well.
- 27:33Speaker 2: I can't remember. Yeah, that's the Yes, that one that's
- 27:36Speaker 2: like the one that's like the one big coaster again
- 27:39Speaker 2: if you're like on that side. Because it is Universal Studios,
- 27:42Speaker 2: Universal style Adventure.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Right, and then yeah, that's the one Tailing was thinking
- 27:45Speaker 4: of as well. Winn loved it. We did Hollywood Tower
- 27:49Speaker 4: Tear No joke five times, like got done, Like can
- 27:52Speaker 4: we go again, and be like, hey go again, no problem,
- 27:54Speaker 4: rocks us right back up there, no way, Yeah, and
- 27:56Speaker 4: it dude. We did the Guardians of the gall won.
- 28:00Speaker 4: There was a ninety minute wait in the lightning lane
- 28:04Speaker 4: and we rode that thing three times in a span
- 28:08Speaker 4: of twenty minutes. And that that ride too unreal.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I haven't read that. I don't think I've read the Guardien.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Yay, that's that's like a newer one. That one was Epcot.
- 28:16Speaker 4: We went to that one after we had the Tower
- 28:18Speaker 4: of Tear. But kids were like you could see the
- 28:21Speaker 4: magic and twinkle in their eye at whatever, the magical Kingdom,
- 28:26Speaker 4: and then all the other ones are like fully embracing.
- 28:28Speaker 4: We're not having and it wouldn't be a bad thing
- 28:30Speaker 4: if the kids were like, I don't want to ride this, right,
- 28:32Speaker 4: then you have to go and you have to walk out,
- 28:33Speaker 4: but like we're a game for everything. Willow wanted to
- 28:35Speaker 4: the rock and roller coaster. Tailor was like no, and
- 28:37Speaker 4: she probably wasn't too tall. She wasn't tall enough anyway, probably,
- 28:40Speaker 4: but like fully about it took like the tiredness on
- 28:44Speaker 4: the chin and kept moving forward, like truly the best
- 28:48Speaker 4: trip we've ever had as a family, like for the
- 28:50Speaker 4: that was like this one's truly about the kids, Like
- 28:52Speaker 4: it was awesome.
- 28:53Speaker 2: It was theme parks are the best.
- 28:57Speaker 7: Is there a better feeling than the anticipation?
- 29:00Speaker 2: No, bro, And it's.
- 29:04Speaker 4: Like when you're going in that first moment where you're
- 29:06Speaker 4: like sit back in your chair, like, oh, we're kind
- 29:08Speaker 4: of just ticking straight up, aren't.
- 29:10Speaker 2: We, And then it kind of pauses for a second
- 29:11Speaker 2: then catapults back up again. You're like, this is it?
- 29:14Speaker 4: This is it? Yeah, dude, they they were. They were
- 29:18Speaker 4: awesome man, And dude, this this tour guy in Austin.
- 29:21Speaker 4: He was incredible the whole time. A wealth of knowledge.
- 29:25Speaker 4: He was like everything we did, he was like so
- 29:28Speaker 4: game for he was all about the kids. At one point,
- 29:30Speaker 4: Willow's legs start to get a little get a little tired.
- 29:34Speaker 4: He goes and we get to the next stop, but
- 29:36Speaker 4: he's got a stroller, a two seater stroller, just waiting
- 29:38Speaker 4: for them, And I'm like, oh, that's awesome. I go
- 29:40Speaker 4: to like get it. He's like, you're on vacation. Let
- 29:43Speaker 4: me push the kids. Bro, you're the fucking man. Ended
- 29:48Speaker 4: up being a fan of the boys too. He's like, yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 4: we like get towards like the middle of the day
- 29:52Speaker 4: and I gotta ask you Tunnel of Chaos. I'm like, oh, oh,
- 29:56Speaker 4: you're about it. Yeah you got that ride. I'll hit
- 29:59Speaker 4: the ride right now. But yeah, he had it. But
- 30:02Speaker 4: he was a super professional, super great guy. Gave my
- 30:05Speaker 4: phone to birthday and I was like, hey, man, we'll
- 30:07Speaker 4: be back, Like, it's in your it's in your lane
- 30:09Speaker 4: if you want to text me or not. So we've
- 30:10Speaker 4: been texting a little bit. But dude, it was sick.
- 30:13Speaker 2: It was Sherm's got up your group trip. Group trip
- 30:16Speaker 2: to Dolly World.
- 30:17Speaker 4: It's Dollywood, dolly Wood.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I've never been. I would love to go.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 30:21Speaker 6: It's a great theme park. It's three hours right outside
- 30:24Speaker 6: of Oxville and Pigeon Forge. It's a fun theme park
- 30:26Speaker 6: in the summer too.
- 30:27Speaker 2: They have some good coasters. Yeah, yea.
- 30:29Speaker 6: They have a Screaming Eagle, which is like massive one,
- 30:31Speaker 6: like one you'd see the Islands of Adventure. They also
- 30:33Speaker 6: in the summer have a really good water park, but
- 30:35Speaker 6: it's like a really fun for the family. All these
- 30:37Speaker 6: like you know, like kind of like apple Acchian style,
- 30:41Speaker 6: like you know, characters and like, you know, yeah, he's
- 30:45Speaker 6: just like it's a it's a.
- 30:46Speaker 2: It's a Screaming Eagle wooden roller coaster.
- 30:48Speaker 4: No, it's it's metal, okay, And it's a beast. It
- 30:51Speaker 4: looks like a beast. Is it the blue one right here?
- 30:53Speaker 2: I think so.
- 30:53Speaker 8: I think it's called the Screaming Eagle.
- 30:55Speaker 2: That's dude. You get off in your legs or going
- 30:59Speaker 2: to like six Flags as young. But by the way,
- 31:01Speaker 2: you see Travis Kelsey's invested in He's got like a
- 31:04Speaker 2: six Flags thing. I think he's like.
- 31:06Speaker 6: With a financial group where they're trying to revive six Flags.
- 31:11Speaker 6: I saw was like, this is exactly what I expect
- 31:13Speaker 6: Travis Kelcey to be doing with his money.
- 31:15Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, which the six Flags in Saint Louis is incredible. Yeah, bro,
- 31:20Speaker 7: you've been Oh yeah, bro. They got the water slide.
- 31:23Speaker 7: It was one of my first ones. When the platform
- 31:25Speaker 7: drops out from underneath.
- 31:26Speaker 2: You yeah, Hurricane Harbor tank down. Yeah, yes, dude, sign
- 31:30Speaker 2: me you're right? Did you go at all?
- 31:34Speaker 7: Bro?
- 31:34Speaker 2: Hey? The Mister Freeze. Yes, bro, you're talking about the
- 31:38Speaker 2: Aerosmith one. Like Mister Freeze. My very first roller coaster
- 31:41Speaker 2: I ever read was The Batman. Yeah, where you like standing lines,
- 31:44Speaker 2: got gos. I'm like it is all time like we
- 31:46Speaker 2: were on the Batman to where you're kind of sitting,
- 31:48Speaker 2: your legs are dangling, And that was my first coaster
- 31:51Speaker 2: and I was absolutely terrified, bro to where I'm I'm
- 31:54Speaker 2: I was the eye closed kid for a few roller
- 31:57Speaker 2: coasters until I got more comfortable. But dude, Six Flags
- 31:59Speaker 2: and St. Louis with the Mister Freeze, they have a
- 32:02Speaker 2: screaming eagle, but it's a wooden one and even the
- 32:04Speaker 2: back too kinda kind of you know, it's got like
- 32:07Speaker 2: the lore of it kind of skips tracks and things
- 32:09Speaker 2: like that. But the Boss, the Boss. Bro, there was
- 32:13Speaker 2: a guy who set like a world record for riding
- 32:15Speaker 2: the Boss x amount of times in a row where
- 32:17Speaker 2: you'd have the black gloves and everything else, and he
- 32:19Speaker 2: just stayed on the Boss. But the Six Flags in
- 32:22Speaker 2: Saint Louis was just a dream mud when you were growing.
- 32:26Speaker 7: Up, got to get you out of Carowin's Dale Dale
- 32:28Speaker 7: has a few roller coasters there because it's that it's
- 32:31Speaker 7: like right outside of Charlotte.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 32:33Speaker 7: So they have the Intimidator and then they have Fury,
- 32:35Speaker 7: and Fury is one of the fastest roller coasters in
- 32:37Speaker 7: the country. And it's one of those that the thing
- 32:40Speaker 7: is only on your thighs, nothing over top. You have
- 32:43Speaker 7: a seat belt and something over your thighs and you
- 32:44Speaker 7: hit that first drop, but out of the seat.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 32:49Speaker 4: I like the little the belt one because the ones
- 32:51Speaker 4: that go over the shoulders, like obviously I'm not built
- 32:53Speaker 4: for that. So every time I'm getting in, it's like
- 32:56Speaker 4: comes down and I have it like this like one
- 32:58Speaker 4: click yeah, yeah, bro kind of shoving it up. When
- 33:02Speaker 4: I was Big Taylor and we would be at Universal
- 33:04Speaker 4: as that, I'd be I like the Hulk, and they
- 33:05Speaker 4: would they be a person that kind of like got
- 33:08Speaker 4: me in one, like you're good. I'm thinking, Hey, no
- 33:11Speaker 4: fucking way, I'm gonna dude. Yeah, that's the scariest part
- 33:14Speaker 4: for me. It's just getting in the damn seat.
- 33:16Speaker 8: Anybody go to the Six Flags in New Jersey with
- 33:18Speaker 8: the King Da Ka have not.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I've been in the one Cincinnati Logan and I his
- 33:23Speaker 2: his mom. We did like a roller coaster. Or we
- 33:25Speaker 2: did a theme park trip when we were in high school.
- 33:27Speaker 4: That's sick.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Story went to you hit the you hit Saint Louis.
- 33:30Speaker 2: We went out to Chicago and hit the Six Flags.
- 33:32Speaker 2: In Chicago, we went up to Ohio and hit the
- 33:34Speaker 2: six Flags and in Cincinnati. I believe I think we
- 33:37Speaker 2: hit one more in Ohio. But it was so fun
- 33:40Speaker 2: where you're just like chasing the front seat on every
- 33:44Speaker 2: roller coaster.
- 33:44Speaker 8: My senior year trip in high school, we went to
- 33:47Speaker 8: the Six Flags in New Jersey and the King Da
- 33:48Speaker 8: Ka was the tallest roller coast roller coaster. I don't
- 33:52Speaker 8: know if it was the world or in the US.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Over Cedar Point. I know Cedar Point was like the
- 33:56Speaker 2: big dog growing up.
- 33:57Speaker 8: King Da I think it was either the tallest or
- 33:59Speaker 8: the fastest.
- 34:00Speaker 2: The fastest, okay, it's a wooden one, yeah, but you
- 34:05Speaker 2: go up on King Da Ka and like you feel
- 34:08Speaker 2: like you can see the curve of the earth.
- 34:10Speaker 1: That's how tall you are. Oh shit, they up, they just.
- 34:14Speaker 8: Tore it down. It's not there anymore, damn. But it
- 34:18Speaker 8: was it was like if we're coming here, like this
- 34:20Speaker 8: is the one ride you need to hit. And then
- 34:23Speaker 8: like it was sick, but it.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Was fucking bro The Mister Freeze in Saint Louis like
- 34:27Speaker 2: you get to where you're at the end of the
- 34:29Speaker 2: end of the ride and you're like going up extremely
- 34:31Speaker 2: high and then you go back through it all backwards,
- 34:34Speaker 2: but you start out. It's like in this awesome theme
- 34:36Speaker 2: Mister Freeze cold Facility. It's cold in there, dude.
- 34:39Speaker 4: That to me is not the best part of the ride,
- 34:42Speaker 4: but I love a ride that tells a story while
- 34:43Speaker 4: you're waiting a line.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's like it's one of those ones where
- 34:46Speaker 2: you get you get all buckled in and everything else,
- 34:48Speaker 2: and you get out to the middle of the track
- 34:49Speaker 2: and you kind of you scoot up a little bit,
- 34:50Speaker 2: but then you stop and then you're sitting there and
- 34:52Speaker 2: it goes from like zero to sixty or zero to ninety,
- 34:55Speaker 2: like you know, within seconds, and you just hear like
- 34:58Speaker 2: as you're sitting there and you're like, this is it.
- 35:00Speaker 2: You hear.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Me?
- 35:03Speaker 2: You just fly out, dude, it is. It is amazing because.
- 35:06Speaker 7: Then there's the other side to it too, where one
- 35:09Speaker 7: line is going forward and the other one ye shot backwards. Yeah,
- 35:12Speaker 7: and I didn't know which way I was going I
- 35:14Speaker 7: was assuming I'm going forward and it did the like
- 35:17Speaker 7: the get off and I went fly backwards.
- 35:18Speaker 2: I'll hear them it gets by you. Yeah, and it's
- 35:22Speaker 2: it's one two to where as you go up at
- 35:24Speaker 2: the end of it, you'll like, you know, you'll drop
- 35:26Speaker 2: a coin or spit or something like that to see
- 35:28Speaker 2: if it tracks back with you. I know spitting sounded crazy,
- 35:30Speaker 2: but no, but definitely.
- 35:32Speaker 4: A can't thing to do for yeah, high school thing, dude,
- 35:34Speaker 4: the U. I don't know if this is a cold
- 35:37Speaker 4: or well, how you guys will feel about this, but
- 35:39Speaker 4: I think it's way scarier to start very slow than
- 35:42Speaker 4: it is just shoot off.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Both, I love this.
- 35:46Speaker 4: I like them all the same. I'm just saying as
- 35:48Speaker 4: far as an anticipation standpoint, and being like slowly just
- 35:51Speaker 4: like cranking up for the localister start like, that's I
- 35:55Speaker 4: think the biggest fear for me.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Yeah, because it brings more of the fear inside of you,
- 35:58Speaker 2: whereas like in the Mister Freeze one, like you're in
- 36:01Speaker 2: the facility and it's more of the anticipation of hearing
- 36:03Speaker 2: those clicks as they get back and work towards you
- 36:05Speaker 2: and you know you're just about to take off lose
- 36:07Speaker 2: your stomach.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, that's a god.
- 36:11Speaker 7: Shout out to whoever made the first amusement park.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Right, there was just one in California. I think it's
- 36:17Speaker 4: called like the Big Dipper and my mom. I was
- 36:21Speaker 4: there with my mom one year, and I wasn't tall
- 36:23Speaker 4: enough to go on. So she like went to the
- 36:25Speaker 4: store and got like platform sandals and like a like
- 36:28Speaker 4: a bucket hat, and I held it real high so
- 36:30Speaker 4: I could go on the ride. And I was shitting myself.
- 36:33Speaker 4: I was like them, I didn't want to go. She
- 36:35Speaker 4: basically pulled me on the thing. I was dude, first
- 36:38Speaker 4: twelve years of life, I was afraid of everything. I
- 36:40Speaker 4: was afraid of doing it all. I was the kid
- 36:43Speaker 4: that would like, excuse me, I get to the top
- 36:44Speaker 4: of like a water slide and you start walking down
- 36:47Speaker 4: the story. No, dude, I know it's so terrible. So
- 36:52Speaker 4: we talk about Chad Powers.
- 36:54Speaker 2: That's been a roller coaster.
- 36:57Speaker 4: You gott get off?
- 36:58Speaker 2: No, no, no, we're not going to give spoil. We
- 37:00Speaker 2: can't what can we?
- 37:02Speaker 1: Can?
- 37:02Speaker 4: You and I talk about it after the show, then
- 37:04Speaker 4: we can talk about it after show.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I'm saying, we gotta talk. We gotta talk. About it
- 37:06Speaker 2: because obviously there Chad Powers is a sponsor of ours.
- 37:11Speaker 2: But I'm not I'm not talking about the last episode.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Clumps like clumps like our head guy like he knows
- 37:16Speaker 2: a sponsor and everything else, like we gotta talk about
- 37:18Speaker 2: the last episode. I'm telling you, bro, we cannot talk
- 37:21Speaker 2: about the last episode.
- 37:22Speaker 4: You can talk about it, dude.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I've watched it. It is incredible. I feel like people
- 37:27Speaker 2: are getting bought into Chad Powers. I've been seeing a
- 37:29Speaker 2: lot of people posting about it. Now, go watch Chad Powers.
- 37:33Speaker 2: It is a phenomenal show. There's god, there has to
- 37:37Speaker 2: be we don't know as fact. We do not know
- 37:39Speaker 2: as fact. But there has to be another season.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Yeah, but if there isn't another season, this podcast will
- 37:46Speaker 4: be the one holding the fly for There has to
- 37:48Speaker 4: be another season.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Has to be another season, and Clump. The only reason
- 37:51Speaker 2: I'm saying that we just cannot like it comes out
- 37:53Speaker 2: on Tuesdays on Hulu. This show drops Tuesday morning. People
- 37:58Speaker 2: aren't gonna be able to watch. People won't have watched
- 38:01Speaker 2: episode six of Chad Powers, and eight is one. I
- 38:04Speaker 2: just feel like we cannot spoil for people. I agree,
- 38:07Speaker 2: I'm okay with that.
- 38:08Speaker 4: I think what we should do, though, is what was
- 38:09Speaker 4: your favorite moment from episodes one through five of Chad Powers.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, first, yeah, somebody, somebody get us the ad. Look,
- 38:19Speaker 2: the ad is go watch Chad Powers.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Is the ad is, go watch Chad Powers.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Yes, I'm gonna sit here and do a bunch of fluff.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Eight years after flushing his promising football career down the toilet,
- 38:30Speaker 2: hot Shot quarterback Russ Holliday tries to re erect it.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Tries to re erect his dreams by disguising himself as
- 38:35Speaker 2: Chad Powers, a talented a oddball who walks on at
- 38:39Speaker 2: a struggling South Georgia Catfish team. Based on Eli Mannings
- 38:42Speaker 2: Eli's Places segment from ESPN and O Mall Productions. It's
- 38:45Speaker 2: a new comedy starring Glenn Powers, Russ Holiday, hot Shot quarterback.
- 38:49Speaker 2: This comedy event will take viewers by surprise with the
- 38:51Speaker 2: comeback story everyone can relate to. Chad Powers is now
- 38:54Speaker 2: streaming with new episodes on Tuesdays on Hulu and Hulu
- 38:58Speaker 2: on Disney Plus for Bundo supscriber's terms apply. Go watch
- 39:02Speaker 2: Chad Powers. Go watch it. You you said you watched six?
- 39:07Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, and I went back to watch. I was
- 39:09Speaker 4: because we had the conversation on the plane last week
- 39:12Speaker 4: and I was like, yeah, I've seen I've seen episode
- 39:14Speaker 4: of five. I went back. I was missing the last
- 39:16Speaker 4: like six minutes, the most important. Yes, dude, I agree
- 39:22Speaker 4: on because this morning I wake up and I'm like, oh,
- 39:25Speaker 4: I gotta watch. I gotta watch that, not only for
- 39:28Speaker 4: this adtery that we have to do, but also for
- 39:30Speaker 4: the for us three to have this conversation that we
- 39:33Speaker 4: I wanted to have last last Wednesday on our flight
- 39:36Speaker 4: to New York. Buddy crazy and I know you haven't
- 39:40Speaker 4: seen it. Oh my god, I'm.
- 39:43Speaker 6: Stoked for tomorrow to watch for sure.
- 39:46Speaker 2: When we got on the plane to fly to New York,
- 39:49Speaker 2: and because I had wi like Charlie was in London
- 39:51Speaker 2: with Rue last week, so when Scotty was down, I
- 39:53Speaker 2: was like catching up on Chad Powers watched, you know,
- 39:56Speaker 2: caught up to five because five was out and it
- 40:00Speaker 2: was so good. I'm just thinking, like those the last
- 40:02Speaker 2: six minutes you're talking about, Jack, that I had to
- 40:05Speaker 2: log in to the access we had to watch episode six,
- 40:08Speaker 2: sat there, laid there in my bed watch episode six
- 40:11Speaker 2: on my phone, and when we got on the plane
- 40:13Speaker 2: to go to New York. I'm just salivating. I'm wanting
- 40:17Speaker 2: to spoil it. Not to spoil it, because I just
- 40:19Speaker 2: wanted to talk about it so bad.
- 40:21Speaker 4: You wanted it for you. You did a good job
- 40:23Speaker 4: holding your tongue. But at one point, Will goes, Can
- 40:25Speaker 4: I just tell you? Or can you guys put headphones
- 40:27Speaker 4: on so I can just say it out loud because
- 40:28Speaker 4: I need to get it out.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I just need to get it off my chest. Dude,
- 40:33Speaker 2: I didn't watch the last six minute, so you've watched.
- 40:35Speaker 4: I've watched it all. I've seen episode six now and everything.
- 40:39Speaker 2: So Taylor hadn't watched the last six minute.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Let's talk with the last six minutes of the episode five.
- 40:43Speaker 2: The heart attack, the he starts to have a hotel,
- 40:46Speaker 2: the wife coming downstairs, the moment you feel and I
- 40:50Speaker 2: hate it for people who aren't caught up. I know
- 40:52Speaker 2: everybody that's caught up. I promise you were not going
- 40:54Speaker 2: to spoil episode six. And for people that haven't watched it,
- 40:57Speaker 2: oh shit, they're talking about how it all went down,
- 40:59Speaker 2: the moment that the wife comes downstairs.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Yeah, and if you haven't seen episode five and you
- 41:03Speaker 4: want to just fast forward, okay, just fast forward from
- 41:06Speaker 4: this point, because yeah, when she comes downstairs and they
- 41:09Speaker 4: have the whole thing and the coach brings up what
- 41:13Speaker 4: about the weight room or the training room two months ago?
- 41:16Speaker 4: She's like, you knew about that. She's like, he basically
- 41:18Speaker 4: texted it to me. I thought that's a good hard
- 41:21Speaker 4: for her to walk away and end. But then she
- 41:23Speaker 4: tells him I fucked us holiday in a bar, dude.
- 41:27Speaker 4: While he's sitting.
- 41:28Speaker 2: There as Chad Powers and they're trying to shoot a
- 41:32Speaker 2: college game. They're trying to shoot like a game day special. Yeah,
- 41:35Speaker 2: then when he chucks his keys into the water and I'm.
- 41:37Speaker 4: Thinking, yeah, that's kind of crazy, just chuck his keys
- 41:41Speaker 4: in the water. And they go in there and he's like, hey,
- 41:43Speaker 4: can Ricky, can you come over for a second? Can
- 41:45Speaker 4: you call it nineber one? And then she's on hold
- 41:47Speaker 4: of number one. Wendy won't answer her phone.
- 41:50Speaker 2: And that's a start of six. Yeah, chill, that's the
- 41:53Speaker 2: start of six, is it? Yeah? The ending of five
- 41:56Speaker 2: is there sitting there and they're kind of reflecting on
- 42:01Speaker 2: the day that happened, and she's like, Ricky's kind of
- 42:04Speaker 2: like Russ Holliday, and he's like, you know, He's a
- 42:05Speaker 2: cancer everywhere he's been, Like, I've been following this kid
- 42:08Speaker 2: since high school, college, every team he's been on, he's
- 42:10Speaker 2: been a cancer. And Chad Powers. Russ Holliday's like sitting
- 42:13Speaker 2: there having to drink it all in, and you're just like,
- 42:15Speaker 2: it's that part to where you're like feeling as the viewer,
- 42:18Speaker 2: you're like feeling bad for like Russ Holiday and Chad
- 42:21Speaker 2: Powers and everything else, because as you see in the season,
- 42:24Speaker 2: he is like he's trying to resurrect his career selfishly
- 42:27Speaker 2: at first, but then he's like bought into like wanting
- 42:30Speaker 2: to right his wrongs and everything else, and realized he
- 42:32Speaker 2: made such an insane mistake with the wife at the
- 42:35Speaker 2: bar the night before when he's having a really low moment,
- 42:38Speaker 2: and but the ending is like, hey, Ricky, can you
- 42:40Speaker 2: come here for a second. She walks over. Yet then
- 42:42Speaker 2: what's going on anything? And he's like, I think I'm
- 42:43Speaker 2: having an art attack and they just have the shock
- 42:45Speaker 2: face and then it cuts off.
- 42:47Speaker 4: Can I say one thing about sis? It's not going
- 42:50Speaker 4: to be a spoiler.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Jack's like, God, damn it, bro, I.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Don't know why you do. Everybody hasn't watched it. You
- 42:57Speaker 1: can't say anything about it.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Well, technical, we're supposed to talk about episode six. We're
- 43:02Speaker 2: just saying, Hey, I'm saying this right now for the
- 43:04Speaker 2: Hulu people and the chat Powers people that say we
- 43:06Speaker 2: got to talk about We're not talking about episode six,
- 43:09Speaker 2: So quit asking. Yeah, quit asking? It is it is.
- 43:14Speaker 2: It's good to where I don't want to say anything
- 43:18Speaker 2: because I truly feel like people need to go watch
- 43:21Speaker 2: the show. Because I tweeted about last week. You go
- 43:23Speaker 2: into it thinking this is gonna be probably corny. They're
- 43:25Speaker 2: beating a dead horse with this little Hollywood theatrics of
- 43:28Speaker 2: Chat Powers. It is a very good show.
- 43:30Speaker 4: It's a legitimately it's a legitimately good show. I'm gonna
- 43:32Speaker 4: say one thing about episode six. I'm gonna say one
- 43:35Speaker 4: thing about it, and it's not gonna give anything away.
- 43:37Speaker 4: It's really just for will the bust scene, right, Yeah,
- 43:46Speaker 4: all right, we're good. All I said, I didn't give
- 43:49Speaker 4: anything awa, Yeah, I give nothing away. And I wouldn't
- 43:51Speaker 4: do that to you. I wouldn't do it to the viewer.
- 43:53Speaker 4: I just had I know how you feel on the planet.
- 43:55Speaker 4: I had to say it. I just had to say
- 43:57Speaker 4: that out loud.
- 43:57Speaker 8: Yeah, but now like other people will know when that
- 44:01Speaker 8: scene pops up.
- 44:02Speaker 2: But just know when that scene popps anything worry about.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Oh shit, here's the scene and you're not gonna know
- 44:08Speaker 2: what happens, right because body don't say anything.
- 44:12Speaker 4: I get us off the mic. Dude, if you want
- 44:15Speaker 4: us to stop talking like this talk.

- 44:26Speaker 2: pass who wasn't playing well or was buried on the
- 44:28Speaker 2: depth chart and all they needed was a fresh set
- 44:30Speaker 2: of downs in order to spark their redemption story and
- 44:32Speaker 2: turn their college careers around. Do you want to you
- 44:36Speaker 2: want to rip? You want to rip? Our fresh set
- 44:38Speaker 2: of Downs player this week.
- 44:39Speaker 4: Our fresh setted downs player this week is the one
- 44:41Speaker 4: the heart and soul of possibly the entire sec. Diego
- 44:46Speaker 4: Pavio Yeah sorry. New Mexico Military Institute transferred to New
- 44:52Speaker 4: Mexico State, transferred to Vandy. Currently fifth in the Heisman
- 44:54Speaker 4: voting plus eight fifty on the FANDO Sports WEOK. If
- 44:56Speaker 4: you're wondering sixteen hundred passing yards, you might be thinking
- 44:59Speaker 4: of Taylor fIF t TD's Boys fifteen TDS four and
- 45:02Speaker 4: fifty eight Rushing Yards five TDS. That boy has taken
- 45:06Speaker 4: over an entire program and they have fully embraced his
- 45:10Speaker 4: mentality and they got something over there.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Uh diego, Pavia could very easily be Russ Holiday gets.
- 45:20Speaker 4: To the natty. Yeah, yeah, trucks a kid in a wheelchair.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Friend of the show, the show very easily.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Yes, you haven't watched it, have you? JP Club? You've
- 45:35Speaker 2: watched it? Chat Powers Sure, Yeah, Hey, you gotta watch
- 45:41Speaker 2: this show. It's a fun one and because it's easy watch,
- 45:45Speaker 2: easy watch it.
- 45:48Speaker 4: It's a good it's easy watch, but you're stressed. There's
- 45:52Speaker 4: a piece of anxiety the whole time, which is why
- 45:54Speaker 4: you keep coming back.
- 45:56Speaker 6: They do a good job, like with football related scenes
- 45:58Speaker 6: were like and a couple ofisodes you're like, oh ship
- 46:01Speaker 6: like there these are games like you can like see
- 46:03Speaker 6: actual like play taking.
- 46:05Speaker 8: Place, which is fun. But there's a.
- 46:07Speaker 4: Couple historically inaccurate.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Things and I won't get into it.
- 46:10Speaker 8: But it doesn't matter.
- 46:12Speaker 2: There's gonna be holes in every TV show. There's we're
- 46:15Speaker 2: not saying there's no holes in this in this story.
- 46:18Speaker 4: The whole staff South Georgia is three people.
- 46:24Speaker 2: We need everybody to watch Chad Pets And you're telling
- 46:27Speaker 2: me like, once you get the national spotlight of Game
- 46:30Speaker 2: Day and everything else, like diving into Chad powers, like
- 46:33Speaker 2: you're gonna find like they they that would be put out.
- 46:36Speaker 4: There, there'd be no way to be held.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but again, this is it's a fun shows, a
- 46:41Speaker 2: funny show, and it weirdly has it weirdly has you
- 46:45Speaker 2: like sitting on the edge of your seat, like bought
- 46:47Speaker 2: into all of the storylines.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Absolutely, Sherman, you have a question.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Question, how do we get y'all in season two?
- 46:54Speaker 4: That's already in the works.
- 46:56Speaker 2: If there isn't there would be a season.
- 47:00Speaker 4: We guaranteed have a read for it. Yeah, guaranteed.
- 47:04Speaker 2: We've passed our verbal messages that have been a little
- 47:07Speaker 2: violent on how much season two needs to happen. Again,
- 47:12Speaker 2: if the boys want to do a little cameo actions
- 47:14Speaker 2: will be available.
- 47:16Speaker 4: We can do that.
- 47:21Speaker 5: Like, how would you want to be featured in the show?
- 47:23Speaker 4: Honestly, probably the same what Eliam Manning was, Yeah, you
- 47:27Speaker 4: just be like yourselves, yeah, each other or maybe like yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 4: there's like a sit down with Chad on busting with
- 47:31Speaker 4: the boys.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Maybe I'm the head couch of the Huskers. They're playing
- 47:34Speaker 2: the Huskers that week. Yeah, yeah, doing a podcast before
- 47:41Speaker 2: we get out.
- 47:42Speaker 4: We had a couple more things to do. We did
- 47:43Speaker 4: the wedding. N SU Wolves won a thriller O T
- 47:48Speaker 4: forty nine forty eight. After doing the all time we
- 47:51Speaker 4: did the all time announcer for them, So shout out
- 47:53Speaker 4: the Wolves, baby, Yeah we have sure them too. Had
- 47:58Speaker 4: a great It was a great idea, a plan. Truly
- 48:01Speaker 4: enjoyed making that video.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Great vocals, thank you, thank you, great vocals.
- 48:05Speaker 4: I've been saying it for years.
- 48:08Speaker 2: But they did, like I felt like their social team
- 48:10Speaker 2: got a lot of love, Like their team got a
- 48:11Speaker 2: lot of love and attention from it. Then they got
- 48:14Speaker 2: a sick ot win sick Yeah. Could not have scripted
- 48:19Speaker 2: it better.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Josh Button on tear Talk at Joshua Underscore, Button says
- 48:24Speaker 4: the pelvic thrust that at will Will Compton is throwing
- 48:27Speaker 4: is wild, but the eye contact he's making with the
- 48:30Speaker 4: camera is out of bounds. This seems to be discussed
- 48:32Speaker 4: on hashtag tear talk. You had a plan.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I had a plan. You had you just had
- 48:37Speaker 2: to buy in. My role was going to be more
- 48:38Speaker 2: background of like vibes of you singing like be you
- 48:42Speaker 2: be a role guy, And that's what I wanted to
- 48:44Speaker 2: go with. I wanted with intense focus and intense staring
- 48:47Speaker 2: at the camera while the hip thrust are happening. Because
- 48:50Speaker 2: hip thrust, you can't you can't take him lightly. You
- 48:52Speaker 2: can't just half ass a hip thrust.
- 48:53Speaker 4: You had a fully buy into a hip thrust, no
- 48:55Speaker 4: doubt about it. Yeah, there's no doubt about it.
- 48:57Speaker 2: What another tear talk here?
- 49:00Speaker 4: Uh?
- 49:02Speaker 2: Which this one right here? This comes from f being
- 49:06Speaker 2: sober on X What is the best blank one eighty
- 49:09Speaker 2: two song of all time? Hashtag tier talk for Taylor one?
- 49:12Speaker 4: What a hilarious handle. Yeah, that is such a difficult song.
- 49:17Speaker 4: It's really like what stage of life you're in? Because
- 49:19Speaker 4: they have just banger after banger after banger. The one
- 49:22Speaker 4: that comes to mind is the two thousand and three
- 49:24Speaker 4: self titled album, first track on the song Feeling This.
- 49:28Speaker 4: I think that is my number one right now because
- 49:30Speaker 4: I do still digest Blake two very consistently. But what
- 49:34Speaker 4: Moody in because they got they got a little sampler,
- 49:37Speaker 4: so it's like Chili's samplers, right, they got a little
- 49:39Speaker 4: bit of everything based on what mood You're in? Blakelin
- 49:42Speaker 4: eighty two absolutely has that.
- 49:44Speaker 2: This one is from Big Plays only Sicko and for
- 49:47Speaker 2: the Dad's PT six checking in with the new hat.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Peep the sticker on the weight stack. Hashtag Sco Ducks,
- 49:53Speaker 2: hashtag tier one, hashtag tier talk, shout out.
- 49:56Speaker 4: The boy, shout out the boy.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a nice setup. That's a nice Orgon Ducks
- 50:01Speaker 2: setup right there.
- 50:01Speaker 4: That's a Tier one right there. And it makes me
- 50:03Speaker 4: feel like we should highlight a Tier one every single week,
- 50:05Speaker 4: just seeing that photo at the start of something new,
- 50:09Speaker 4: where that guy's just fully bought in, bought it of
- 50:11Speaker 4: the ducks, bought it of the boys. Well, come, what
- 50:14Speaker 4: more could you ask for? Payt sixer? What else you got?
- 50:19Speaker 4: Fresh shirm.
- 50:21Speaker 2: What scariest movie of all time?
- 50:23Speaker 4: Fuler Lawler at Lawler under score fifty three says, what
- 50:26Speaker 4: is the scariest movie of all time? Hashtag tear talk
- 50:28Speaker 4: hashtags October. I think every year they come out with
- 50:32Speaker 4: a scarier and scarier movie. What was the I think
- 50:35Speaker 4: the number one voted movie scary movie all the time
- 50:37Speaker 4: was Sinister Correct. I think that was like they had
- 50:40Speaker 4: a list come out of fifty My personal scariest movie
- 50:43Speaker 4: that I witnessed that affected me the most was freshman
- 50:45Speaker 4: year of college. Oh my god, I'm forgetting the name
- 50:50Speaker 4: of the movie. Paranormal Activity. That's exactly what it is,
- 50:54Speaker 4: Paranormal Activity. Saw that with Cam Gordon at the State
- 50:57Speaker 4: Street Theater. I've said it so many times in this show,
- 51:00Speaker 4: but we ran back to West Quad and I couldn't
- 51:02Speaker 4: sleep alone for three weeks. It was that scary.
- 51:05Speaker 7: I felt the same way. And then the more that
- 51:07Speaker 7: I learned about video editing, I was like, this is due.
- 51:12Speaker 8: This was too easy, dude.
- 51:13Speaker 4: The music for that movie was ten thousand dollars.
- 51:16Speaker 2: That's all they needed.
- 51:17Speaker 7: It was because when you like really look at how
- 51:19Speaker 7: you edit something like that, I'm like, oh my god, yeah,
- 51:22Speaker 7: this is ten thousand dollars worth of work. One of
- 51:26Speaker 7: the greatest business moves of all time.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Yeah, like changed it, like it sparked. It sparked this
- 51:31Speaker 4: entire new like paranormal movie thing that's kind of taken
- 51:35Speaker 4: over for horror films. Like it's real. Yeah, Like The
- 51:39Speaker 4: Exorcist was like the first one that came out in
- 51:41Speaker 4: whatever the seventies, but like then it's kind of been
- 51:43Speaker 4: like whatever, until like Paranormal Activity really set it off.
- 51:47Speaker 4: It has been like six of those movies.
- 51:49Speaker 2: The Ring got me.
- 51:50Speaker 4: I walked out of the Ring when I was twelve. Yeah,
- 51:53Speaker 4: I walked out of that.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Chucky really scared me when I was little. Paranormal Activity,
- 51:58Speaker 2: I agree. First which I did coming out of that
- 52:01Speaker 2: theater was was seeing if it was a true story.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Yeah, Blair, which project is also one of those movies.
- 52:06Speaker 4: Anything like a handheld.
- 52:07Speaker 2: The Conjuring was terrifying.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Yes, the first Conjuring movie. Dude, I need to see
- 52:13Speaker 4: the newest one that came out. Have you all seen it?
- 52:14Speaker 2: No, I haven't seen it.
- 52:15Speaker 4: It might have to do a little little movie night.
- 52:18Speaker 2: And then some of the Exorcists, Like there's another one
- 52:22Speaker 2: there there. I forget which one it was, but the
- 52:25Speaker 2: one that's like out one week, I like the Desert,
- 52:30Speaker 2: you know what I'm talking about?
- 52:31Speaker 4: No, maybe I think it's.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Out in the desert.
- 52:36Speaker 4: Gotta have them all this week, Yeah, gotta have all
- 52:39Speaker 4: this week. The that Sinister two movie that was playing
- 52:43Speaker 4: during Thursday and the football last week. I haven't seen
- 52:45Speaker 4: that movie, and I kept peeking over to the side, thinking,
- 52:48Speaker 4: I gotta watch this. This looks terrifying, Is it really
- 52:53Speaker 4: I need that? What I need to is a new
- 52:54Speaker 4: Frid of the thirteenth, because that movie's been in I think,
- 52:57Speaker 4: like a lawsuits for a while. Who holds what rights? Yeah,
- 53:00Speaker 4: it seems like that's gotten figured out. Yeah, that's what
- 53:02Speaker 4: I heard to the grape vine.
- 53:05Speaker 5: You could be in any scary movie?
- 53:09Speaker 1: Which one would you want to be in?
- 53:11Speaker 2: Be in any scary movie?
- 53:12Speaker 4: Like do I live? Any scary movie? I could be
- 53:17Speaker 4: any scary movie I want.
- 53:18Speaker 5: Yeah, Like, out of all your favorites, would you want
- 53:20Speaker 5: to be chased by Jason Fores or Michael Myers or
- 53:24Speaker 5: deal with the paranormal activity?
- 53:26Speaker 4: The paranormal stuff I stay, I would stay away from.
- 53:30Speaker 2: I mean, if we're in the movie immersed in the concept,
- 53:34Speaker 2: immersed in the horror, I wouldn't want to be in
- 53:36Speaker 2: any in anything.
- 53:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:39Speaker 4: You could also be the villain like Scooby Doo. Yeah, yeah,
- 53:45Speaker 4: that'd be That's the one I choose though, That's what
- 53:47Speaker 4: I want.
- 53:48Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, even though you're in on the bit,
- 53:52Speaker 5: you're still scared.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, if if you're knowing it's a bit
- 53:56Speaker 2: and you can kind of get away or do your
- 53:58Speaker 2: own thing. But I'm just thinking if you're fully immersed
- 53:59Speaker 2: and thinking this stuff is happening to you, Yeah, I mean,
- 54:02Speaker 2: what a blender you be? Almost anything. No, just think
- 54:07Speaker 2: about like like Freddy Krueger, like falling asleep.
- 54:10Speaker 4: That's to me the worst one.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Chucky chasing you. Yeah. Movies yeah, yeah, what do you
- 54:18Speaker 2: know one of those? Because starting back up now, yea,
- 54:24Speaker 2: like you're around friends and you feel like you're solving
- 54:26Speaker 2: something kind of together, and you know it's a human
- 54:29Speaker 2: you know, it's somebody trying to rewrite the stories that
- 54:31Speaker 2: have been happening, like who the killer is scream?
- 54:34Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's a good one.
- 54:36Speaker 8: I feel like Final Destination would be a terrible one
- 54:38Speaker 8: because you know, something could pop off at literally any second.
- 54:43Speaker 5: I still get behind like the lumber trucks, That's all
- 54:47Speaker 5: I can think, dude.
- 54:48Speaker 4: Yes, any honestly, any rainy highway I get on, that's
- 54:52Speaker 4: one of the first things that pop through my head
- 54:53Speaker 4: is like, yo, Final destination right now would be crazy.
- 54:56Speaker 4: Those movies got a little wonky for like the third
- 54:58Speaker 4: and fourth one, The.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Wa Out of the Dumb Ones, Hills Have Eyes.
- 55:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean any any like this is not that
- 55:05Speaker 4: but Rob Zombie movies like all the gory type of Yeah,
- 55:10Speaker 4: what is that midsommer hereditary? Those movies terrifying. Yeah, those
- 55:16Speaker 4: just got like a creepiness tours.
- 55:18Speaker 5: Seeing Jeepers Creepers maybe one or two for the first time.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Bro. Cheepers is the first one when the.
- 55:23Speaker 5: Like right out of the gate like attacks the school bus.
- 55:26Speaker 2: That is that's the second one.
- 55:28Speaker 5: I was out the room.
- 55:29Speaker 4: Yeah, because Jeeper Creepers one kind of does a really
- 55:32Speaker 4: good job of I think it's a great movie. Yeah,
- 55:34Speaker 4: like the brother and sister kind of getting around there
- 55:36Speaker 4: on a road trip and then there's a license plate
- 55:39Speaker 4: beating you but really ends up being be eating you.
- 55:43Speaker 4: That's just nuts. Who else we got around here? What
- 55:46Speaker 4: else we got around here?
- 55:49Speaker 2: I think we get out of here? Bro, we've been
- 55:50Speaker 2: podcasting for five hours.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Yeah we can do that. Do we want to do

- 59:06Speaker 4: Hunter from the past season. Let's give a round of
- 59:08Speaker 4: applause for Tristan Wirf Electro Stack I have you, sir.
- 59:14Speaker 4: I will now turn it over to William Earl Compton Tristan.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Welcome to busting with the boys. Bro. I I just
- 59:19Speaker 2: I want to out of the gate. I just want
- 59:21Speaker 2: to ask you what are we squatting in this past offseason?
- 59:24Speaker 2: What have you put on that bar? What have you
- 59:27Speaker 2: loaded your spine with? Because you're you're a big strong boy,
- 59:29Speaker 2: Iowa hawk guy. Now, I just I'm curious what you're
- 59:32Speaker 2: putting up these days.
- 59:34Speaker 1: It's not like I used to it. Uh had surgery
- 59:37Speaker 1: this offseason, so I was trying to belt squad. I
- 59:39Speaker 1: was belt squad in this offseason?
- 59:42Speaker 2: We are we a true belt squatter? Or to where
- 59:45Speaker 2: you're going ass to grass? Not getting help with the
- 59:47Speaker 2: bars or your hands on the bars so we can
- 59:50Speaker 2: load it up for ego.
- 59:51Speaker 1: It's hands on the bars? Are kidding me?
- 59:54Speaker 2: Smart man?
- 59:55Speaker 1: Hands on the bars all day all?
- 59:57Speaker 2: Put another forty five on there?
- 59:59Speaker 1: Ye? Absolutely?
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: What about two part question? Do you still go to
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: community public pools? And if so, do you still jump
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: out of the shallow end to impress.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Those shot I I don't think I could. I could
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: probably do it if I get a couple of tries,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: but it's I don't know, I'd probably scrape my shin.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I would destroy that.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: Yeah, what how was that one of those things where
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: like the draft process is coming, you're sitting there and
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: you're like, hey, somebody take this video for me. Second,
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: show all the scouts. What's what? Or or how did
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: how did that whole video come come about?
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: It was from that was from my freshman year of college,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Like that was like down on my Instagram and then
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: they like when the draft started happened, the draft process
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: start happened. Somebody like found it and put it back
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: out there and it helped us out.
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: I mean, we watched it this morning in the pre
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: production and we're like, bro, this is insane. And then
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, I think he ran. He was
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: really a great combine too. You didn't have a great combine.
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: He had an absolutely elite combine And actually kind of
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: discussed didn't me because my whole thing was like I'm
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: gonna I was in an athletic offens alignment and you
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: just buried me and every single category was incredible, Like
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: did you know when you got to the combine, You're like,
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: I'm about to These kids have no idea what they're
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: about to witness.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I remember, like I knew the vertical was gonna be
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: gonna be pretty decent. I always knew I could a'd
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: the bunnies. I know I had bunnies. But like when
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I was I just trained at Iowa with Coach Doyle,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: you know, for for combine prep, and he didn't really
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: like tell us any numbers or like you know, we'd
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: practice the forty and stuff and he didn't really tell
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: us the time and he's like he just kept telling
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: me that you're gonna He's like You're gonna be fine.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: And I'm like I'm like, okay, He's like just go run,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: just go do you And I was like sounds good.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: And so like the teams like in the meetings like
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: what are you gonna run on Saturday? What are you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: gonna jump? And I'm like I'm like, we'll see, dude,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: I said, you know, well, I was like, you know,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: we'll see how it goes. And then I got out
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: there and I remember the forty I ran it and
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: then like my agent texted me and was like you're
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: ran forty five and I was like I was like
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: what because they get that then they didn't have now
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: they I think they post the times take up on
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: this big board, but then they didn't. I was like,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you're lying, dude. And then the broad jump, like I
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: hadn't hit that. I think I hit ten to one.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I wasn't even close to that like in in training
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: and I was just probably a little adrenaline dump. But
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: you know, we'll take it. Well. It was fun. It
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: was fun Saturday.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: It is is very unique because when we did the combine,
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: it was you run your forty and then you kind
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: of go over to the other group of guys who
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: are like looking on the like looking on Twitter, like, Okay,
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: what did you run? They can't tell you. I was
- 1:02:32Speaker 4: at the combine last year and they literally now there's
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: like fans in there. They display the person running. They
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: showed the forty time in front of everybody, so people
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: can ooh and ah at everything you're doing, and it's like,
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: it's amazing how far this has come, because at one
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: point we're all looking searching for, you know, some sort
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: of hot spot in Indianapolis, trying to figure out like, hey,
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: what did I run in this whole thing? That's dude, incredible.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: Combine stats are are you?
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Are you following your team the Iowaha.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: Guys, I do fall I do follow the Hawks. They like,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: they put up a good stat line against Minnesota the
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: other day.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Bro, they beat their ass, Yeah they did. Like, are
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: you know I'm an absolute sicko with with my Nebraska Cornhuskers.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: But I feel like Iowa this year has been so
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: confusing to me. But now I feel like they're hitting
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: their shride and they're actually a very dangerous football team.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: I think it's wild that they're not in the top
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: twenty five. I know, the ap pole kind of doesn't
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: matter until the College Foball playoff rankings came out, but uh,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: you got to be excited about the a year Iowa haalk.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Guys, No, absolutely. I mean someone who's a talk about
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: a dog is Caleb Wegen the returning kicks? Yes, I
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: just I read something that he's like he just tied
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Tim Dwight for I think most kicks return for a touchdown.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I think I think I just read that, like that's
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: that's pretty sweet. I mean Tim Dowyight, like, you know,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: growing up in Iowa, like Tim Dwight's like Superman. So
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: for him to you know, go tie, you know, go
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: tie that record is pretty pretty sick. Well, you know
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: they're roll on right now. I mean, KF KF will
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: always be the goat. That's pretty cool to watch. Pretty cool.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: See the boy's doing well.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we got a game at the end of
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: the year. Now, I think you guys are nine and
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: one on us in the last ten years.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I never lost to Nebraska.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: Oh I did not either.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Will never lost in Nebraska. Both of you guys are undefeated
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: versus Nebraska.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: I never lost to Iowa.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Hell yea, how does that make you feel, trist Does
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: it make you nervous? Sitting like sitting virtually on this
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: bus right now?
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: No?
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: No, he yeah, he got his legs.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Where's the game at Lincoln? Okay, yeah, he's nervous. I'm
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: not nervous.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: And what was the what was the score of the
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: Iowa Minnesota game?
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: Had like forty to nothing, forty one to three or
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: something like forty one to three.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Iowa scored a program high forty one points.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: Forty one points beat Minnesota's ass. My My like analogy
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: is like, Okay, I guess they had this massive emotional
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: win against Nebraska because Minnesota stormed the field. Maybe Nebraska's
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: their Super Bowl. They got too high for their britches.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: They went out to Iowa or they host i or
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: whatever wherever that game was played, and I would beat
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: their ass. I will. Yeah, not Minneapolis, you know two
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: fridays ago.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: No, no one's winning there.
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: But got out physical. I was obviously surprising the score,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: and I'm like, dude, I was kind of making some
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: noise now, uh getting yeah, hitting their stride, which is
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: good for us. Yeah, it'll yeah, we got usc this weekend. Yeah,
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: but I would like to I would like to bring
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: you in on the the annual bet that I have
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: with George Kittle. Whoever kind of loses the game, I
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: would Nebraska. You have to publicly acknowledge the ass whooping
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: on video. Are you willing to go that far with
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: your team to where I know you're not the biggest
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: social media guy, but the Iowa Hawkeyes go down against
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: the Huskers last game of the year in November, I'm
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: gonna need a video of you talking about how you know,
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: coach rule year three, Will Compton. They've built a juggernaut
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: out there, they own us. Nebraska's back on top how
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: and I will do the same thing. Whatever you need,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: I will include you in this video.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Okay, that's fair game. I'm done with it. I'm done
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: with that. Okay, all right, good, I gotta get Levonte.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I gotta get Levonte on something.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Boogie. His nickname for us was Boogie. I
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: always said I was going to name my first pit
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: bull that I had Boogie, because that's how Boogie kind
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: of operated back in the day in college football. But yeah,
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: get Boogie involved. I know he I don't even think
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: he has social media or has X him.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: He's all bad.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: He's a bro.
- 1:06:30Speaker 4: He's all bald, and he's still doing an extremely.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: High level right now.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You're fourteen.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Yeah, still, yeah, still crushing it. Let's talk about Iowa
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: and obviously you're an Iowa cat. I'm assuming that's the
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: reason you grew up in an Iowa Hawkeye fan. Am I correct?
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: And assuming all that?
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you're pretty spot on. I mean, my hometown is
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: twenty five minutes away from the University of Iowa, so.
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: I grew up as a young buck going to the games.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: That Kirk fans. Guy, he might not be there when
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: you're growing up, sure enough, he is. This is the
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: place you want to go to. You guys are in
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: a you know, could be for a bait the jbship
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: every seven years. That that's the kind of program. What
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: other schools were you looking at or that were offering you?
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: And that if Iowa was not on the board, all
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: these other schools might have been Michigan and who else.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I only had two offers. I just had Iowa and
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Iowa State. They were my only offers.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: No way, that is nuts. This ca Yeah, this guy,
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: what was.
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: Your like how what was your height and wake coming
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: out of high school? What was your rivals?
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: Uh?
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Six five three?
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: And people were just like not for us?
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Must they? Yeah? It was crazy. I was like, you know,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it's tough, Like you know, you're a high school You're
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: seeing like all these people on like on the on
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: like Twitter, like your age, getting all these offers, and
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: you're like, what am I doing wrong? Dog?
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: You know?
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Yeah? But uh, I was at a baseball game in
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Iowa State called me and they're like, hey, we love
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: your tape. We want to offer you. And then because
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: we do base Iowa those baseball in the summers, like
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: they just called me like kind of out of the blue.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: And then I had a camp like a like an
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: O line camp or something like a big man camp
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: at Iowa a couple weeks later, and then they offered
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: me after that and that was pretty much the extent
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: of my recruiting. I I took a visit to Michigan
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: State and they I get up there and they didn't
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: have tickets for me and my and my mom, and
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: I didn't talk to anybody up there, Like none of
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: the coaches came talk to me, and I like the
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: recruiting directors talked to me. And we left at halftime
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: and I think I called I called coach Morgan, like
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: on the drive home. I was like, I'm ready to
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: commit the August. Let's do it.
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: Oh really?
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Yeah, So that was that was pretty much that I committed.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: It was like right after it was like at the
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: end of my end of my uh end of my
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: junior season, I committed Iowa.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: That's crazy. And now you're a top thirty player in
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: the NFL, you know, based on your peers voting you that.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: What's it been like for you? You know, coming from a
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: you know, small town Iowa, not getting recruited by anybody,
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: to now you're respected across the league as you are today.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Yeah, It's it's crazy. I mean it doesn't feel real sometimes,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: just you know, just living my dream. I wanted to
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: play football since I was you know, I don't know,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: five years old. I'd made this poster in kindergarten. It
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: says like, what do you want to be when you
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: grow up? I said football. I want to be a
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: football player. So just being able to live out a
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: dream and you know, do my best to help his
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: team be great and and just have fun doing it
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: has been just surreal, honestly, dude.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: Getting drafted Tampa Bay. Tom Brady, the goat of all
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: goats is there? What was it like playing with Tom?
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: You see the relationship break up with the Patriots, he
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: comes down, Everyone's like, this is the middle of the
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: Corvince student. Was it Bill Belichick or Tom Brady? We
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: obviously know the end and the answer to that conversation now,
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: but going into that building and seeing the greatest to
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: ever do it? What was it like being his teammate
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: and knowing that, like I have to block for him.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: I know he gets it out fast, but if I
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: give up a sack, like I could kill him.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Yeah, talk about nightmare fuel, dude. It was That's what
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: they That's what they told me. Like when they called
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: me on Draffne like you ready protect Tom Brady and
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I was like, what shit, Really, you gotta be kidding me.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: But no, like blocking for Tom was was incredible. I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: remember like I had Shaq, Barrett and JPP like my
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: first training camp and they were just cooking me and
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know if I'm cut out for this,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: and it was Tom told me he just pulled me
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: his hide. He said, don't get beat fast, and don't
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: get beat inside and will be okay. And I was
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: like sounds good, you know. And I remember trying to
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: break it down like as simple as possiage. I was like,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: just stay in front of the guy, like, you know,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: if you're gonna if you're gonna lose like Dia slow death,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: you know, just be an athlete. I was just trying
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: to just trying to keep him up right because like obviously,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: like you know, you get him hit hard, and I
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: was like, I don't want to be the one to
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: to end Tom Brady's career, you know, which it turns
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: out it was like, you know, last play of Tom's career,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I gave up a sack. You know that's gonna stick
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: with me. For the rest of my life. That's haunt.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: That's haunting. But getting to play with Tom was was unbelievable.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: You know, just coming in and watching him, watching him
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: work and getting to be in that huddle was like
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: playing a video game. It was Tom gronk Ab Mike Evans,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Chris got when Julio Jones, like Leonard Fournette, like it was.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: It was insane being in that huddle, but it was.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: It was unbelievable. Like that's that's all. That's that's all
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: I can say about it. It was like to this day
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: looking back on it, like it doesn't feel real, Like
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: it just getting to you know, I got to play
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: with Tom Brady, you know, the greatest football player of
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: all time. It just just crazy.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: But was it like mentally for a young guy when
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: you know Tom gives you that advice. But throughout the season,
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: I'm sure there were a couple of moments to where
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: you got beat pretty good or Tom gets hit, Like
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: what's going what's going through your mental state when thinking
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: looking back and and seeing like it Tom lane on
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: the ground, Like, oh shit, am I about to get
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: coached up hard? Here? I I kind of hate going
- 1:11:39Speaker 2: into the facility on Monday to watch the film with everybody.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it was my fourth game playing the Bears, and
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: we'd like all week. I'm like a Khalil Mack out there.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: I was like, this is gonna be you know, this
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: is gonna be tough. Yeah, and it was. It was
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: COVID Thursday Night Football, and it's the play where he
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: like flipped me afterwards, and in my you know, in
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: my head after it happened, I was like, no, you know,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: nobody saw. No one's in the stands like we're fine.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: And then immediately after I had that thought, I was like,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: it's COVID, it's Thursday Night Football. Everyone in the world's watching.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: And I remember getting to the locker room after the
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: game and my buddy texted me said, it's not that
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: He said, it wasn't that bad, bro, And I was like, okay,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: so it looked terrible. So that was Yeah, that was
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the sack I gave up my rookie year, and it
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: was it was that's still you know, that still sticks
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: with me.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: You say the sack, how many sacks you up your
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: rookie year?
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: One?
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: That is fire.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: I mean that that's not just fire, that's absolutely incredible.
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: To be a rookie in the NFL and they give
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: up only one sack the entire time.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Yeah, any happening game fours? Are you? Are you just
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: walking up to Tom like, hey, are you just apologizing?
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: I was just saying, hey, that's.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Up, buck around, I'm sorry.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Yeah, so sorry Tom. Tom was known for being like
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: obviously the ultimate editor, but like a hot heead, especially
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: in practice. Yeah, what's the worst ass chewing you ever
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: saw Tom Brady to give somebody he keep in mind
- 1:13:09Speaker 4: he's retired now, like one, No one's coming to get you.
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: Your PR team is probably looking at you right now,
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: like you better be smart.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Behind the table.
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, And I'm just letting them knowing.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: You know, it's all good at this point.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: No, to be honest, I don't remember any individual ass chewings.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I remember in training camp one year, it might have
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: been it might have been my second year. We're just
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: having you know, it's one of the like the dog.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: The dog is a training camp. It's three out and
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: one off now, but it's you know, we're in the
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: middle of training camp and in Tampa. You know, it's
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: disgustingly hot. You know, he's having a slow day and
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: nothing's going right, and I remember he just starts screaming
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: and he gets this tone in his voice, like this
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: pitch that he gets to when he gets really mad,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: and it's like it's terrifying. And then he just takes
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: the ball and punts it like you know, we get
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the fans, you know, the fans are all there, and
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: he's just going on this rant, just screaming, just kind
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: of like at nobody really but just yelling to yell
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: and and just kicks the ball across the field and
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: we're all kind of just like we keep going or
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: like you know, we're in the middle of a rack.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Get a good ball in here, like but I don't
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: really remember any specific ash to He's like that was
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: his thing when he came in. He's like he didn't
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: I remember him saying. He's like, it's not about me.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: He's like, because there were still you know, we still
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: have like you know, Levante, will Golstand, like Vida, like
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: all these all these older guys Mike that were He's like,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: it's your guys' team, Like I just want to help us,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: help us win. He never really singled anyone out that
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: I can I can remember if he did, he might
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: have done it kind off to the side er in private,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Like I remember Shaq Barrett beat me faster than I've
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: ever been beat before and just kind of tagged off
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: on top of Gran right by me, pulled me aside,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: and he's like he's kind of looked at me. I
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: was like, all right, you know, I was like, yeah,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: I got I got you, I got you. Just gave
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: me a little look. I was like, yeah, that's fair.
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: I'm sure that looked felt like it was like three
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: hours long, dude.
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you know, his eyes just glued. You're like, okay,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: I got like you. I remember as a young as
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: a young player, like I was like scared to make
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: eye contact with him. But yeah, that was that was scary.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: You know. It had to be a fun personality of
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: an offensive room too, because you got Tom. You got
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: the savvy old wise you know, the goat. Yeah, Tristan,
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: who's just a new guy trying to figure it out.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: You got Mike Evans, known for playing video games being
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: an absolute stead You also got we've had him on
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: the bus before.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: But Leonard Fournette, who was his own unique personality. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: and then Gronk as well. Yeah, like that's it's a
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: it's a crazy group of boys out there.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it was wild. It was a wild time.
- 1:15:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah you're on the field when Ab dipped
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: on the during the Jets game. Yeah, I was, yeah,
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: were you?
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: We didn't know what was Like the offense was out
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: on the field, so like we're doing like a two
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: minute drive before half, and and Aby was doing that
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: on the sideline and I've seen I've just seen. I've
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: seen clips of it, like Mike was trying to get
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: him to like stay, and we get in at halftime
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: and and Ba was like Aby's gone, like he left.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: You guys, We're like what. We're like, what's going, Like
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: what happened? And then after the game, like we see
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: on Twitter and everything that he just dipped. Yeah that
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: was wild. That was really crazy.
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and they so Ba Bruce is handling this at
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: halftime saying he did he's.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Not a buccaneer. Like we're like like, okay, like what
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: And I was everyone on the sideline note knew what
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: went on, but like we were literally in a two
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: minute drive, like we had no idea.
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm sure after the game, like you're on
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: the bus over to the airport and you're like pulling
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: like Mike or somebody said, been like, bro, what happened
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: out there? Like what was their vantage point? They're like, yo,
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: he just started freaking out and dipped.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: It was it was something about it was something about catches,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: like not getting enough catches, and I remember I remember
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Mike going over to him like trying to take it.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Like AB's like in the middle of like trying to
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: take his pads off, and Mike's like trying to hold
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: like hold his pads on. And then in the clip
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: who Mike is like, He's like, okay, whatever I can.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: I was like, I can't do this right now, and
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: then he jogs off.
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: That was like that was that was its fucking wild
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: bro hyping up the crowd. Yeah, that's just so nuts, dude.
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: So you have had such a unique because obviously your
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: your individual career has been incredible. You get Tom Brady
- 1:17:21Speaker 4: and then there's this kid who gets drafted first overall
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: from Oklahoma to Cleveland. What happened to Cleveland? They make
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: the playoffs and next year they don't make the playoffs,
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: but it wasn't like a blowout season. He ends up
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: getting cut goes to like the Panthers, all these other places,
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: the rams, and he finds his place in Tampa Bay
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: to compete with. Please help me with the name. Who
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: was the other quarterback Cayles Kyle Trask brought in to compete.
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: At what point did you know, like, oh, this Baker
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: Mayfield cat is going to be the man. You're wearing
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: a shirt with him. We're having a due rag on
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: like you have you obviously you understand my.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Dog Bakes my dog. I think pretty early, I think
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I didn't really know as a competition, to be honest,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I thought I thought we were bringing a big to
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: like That's why I just, you know, when it first
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: of all happened, I was like, bakes o bakes our quarterback.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: Just seeing him now, like his confidence and you know,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and then knowing everything that he you know, his journey
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: is pretty insane, and then you know, the football he's
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: playing right now is is just insane. And just to
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: be able to watch that and be a part of
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: that and and do everything we can to help him have,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: you know, have success has been so fun and he's
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: just an awesome dude. Like hanging out with him what
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: you know, whatever it is, he's just he's he's he's incredible.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: And yeah, these shirts are these shirts are amazing. Don't
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: let a white boy get a little motion is unbelievable.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: But that's him though, Like that's him to a t,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: you know, like his his his his aura is insane.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: You know, he's just a cool dude.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: He seems like the type of guy that gives a
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: hell of a Christmas gift to his offensive line. What
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: did he get you guys? Last year?
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: He got us. He got us watches and and Margarita makers.
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: That's mar mixer is awesome.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: But what that thing is off the charts? That thing
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: is sweet.
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: Oh it's like that. It's like one of those Jimmy
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: Buffett ones, the good ones I know about the Jimmy
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: Buffett Margarita maker. That thing is solid. Get you slushed up? Nice?
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah talking but you said watches like it was
- 1:19:32Speaker 4: it a Nixon watch? Are we talking about that rollie
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: or we go crazy with an ap like we'll kind
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: of watch it to get you guys.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: He got us, Uh, he got us Bostil No, I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: think it's two door or no, uh two doors.
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: That I don't know. I'm not at that sounds like
- 1:19:51Speaker 4: that's sponsored by two door. And he's like, let me
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: get my offensive line.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: I think he had a little I think you had
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: a little deal.
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, he adds up a little. That's a good
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: opportunity for you to go in there and be like, hey,
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: I was a bustle with the boys. They just let
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: me know that that watch you gave me wasn't something
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: you bought. It was actually I'm gonna need a little
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: something nicer, Like were you ever if you were getting
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: on them about the Chrismas presents of like, hey, we
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: gotta I love the margarita mixer, but what about a
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: car like Joe Burrow got his boys? Like legit Katana
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: Samurai started last year.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: We've been trying to drop that I would I'd be
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: down for a sort of I'm trying to like like
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: so it keeps out, I'll walk by my swords not crazy,
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: That is the move dude, like you especially now too,
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: like you guys have four what like uh what last
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: second drives to win the game? Game winning drives? You're protecting, Well,
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: the boys were a little hurt with injuries outside, you
- 1:20:43Speaker 4: were a little banged up. Now the boys are starting
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: to feel themselves a little bit now. Even you guys
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: got wins, but time to get you maybe a real rollie,
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: maybe a vehicle, like if you could have the perfect
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: gift for your office. One you walked out and you
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: saw ATVs, you saw golf carts, Like what are what
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: do you envision?
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: Golf cars?
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Is that?
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: Is that number one for you in your mind?
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: Think? I think they'd be number one? Golf carts are sweet. Yeah,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: he's got a nice, a nice golf cart. He does.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: He's got a six seater, I think, does you really Yeah?
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: Yeah, and you gotta like a baker. I know you're
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: gonna see this clip. We're gonna make sure you see it,
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: Like we can't do this easy go bullshit, Like we
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: need the tricked out ones with the with the base
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: on the back, the system, the rims, maybe some cool
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: lights underneath it, Like, Yo, what are we fucking doing?
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he's gonna probably call me after this that we're
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: on the phone, like we're on the phone like thirty
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: minutes ago. He's gonna he's gonna be pissed.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: Yeah, like that just.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: In just a side comment. It's like something all you
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: gotta do is just have his uh golf cart pulled
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: up on your phone and just hey, that's pretty nice.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: Is Sandy gets you brought me something? If Santa brought
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: me something like that or maybe all the offensive lineman,
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: I think it would be pretty elated.
- 1:21:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Something something I wish I did when I was
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: playing was printing off the gift you wanted, like a
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: really bad like Google photo of it, and then just
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: taping it to his locker and be like kind of nice, huh,
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: like you could just put that there, or he doesn't
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: know who's really sending the message, but there's a message
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: being sent them. The less you guys win, then there's
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: two of that item. You know, you guys losing goes back.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: They use that, they start doing that, take.
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: It, run with it, it's yours.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: What's it like for you guys? Offensively? The juice that
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: Baker does bring whenever he breaks one and puts his
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: shoulder down and puts his face and somebody starts talking shit,
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: what does that? What do you feel like that does
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: for all you guys? And what kind of fun are
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: you having postgame or the next week when you're watching
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: those clips with him?
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I think he just fires everybody up. And I think
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: he does it on purpose sometimes well I know he
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: doesn't on purpose sometimes. I remember the Saints game last year,
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: second game or second time we played him later in
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: the year, like it came out, came out slow, and
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: he he gets into a little scuff and we all
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: like the whole lot, we just swarm over there, like
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: get into a get into a little tussle, and he's
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: just like there's a there's a clip of it. He's
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: just walking away like from an explosion. And it was
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: he said, don't want to say, he's like he's like
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: he did that help or some Then I'm like, yeah,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I was like that got are you.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Just kind of like the match and then walk away?
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Like it was it was sweet. Like you
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: see that clip from Iron Man one when he like
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: drops the bomb on the tank and just turns and
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: walks away like that. It was like it was sweet.
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: But that's just who he is. You know, he's a dog.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: He always he's always gonna have that passion in that fire,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and we're we're there to back him up. You know,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: we always will be this.
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: You brought up a really good point of like the
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: whole offensive line going in there after a scuffle. There's
- 1:23:32Speaker 4: nothing in this world that pisses me off more then
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: when a quarterback takes a late hit and there's offensive
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: linemen on the other side of the field kind of
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: just walking around. What should what is and should be
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: the standard of every offensive lineman, not just NFL, but
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: we're talking college and high school as well. To where
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: your quarterback takes a cheap so whether it's cheap shot
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: or not a big hit, nonetheless, like we gotta get
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: the boys out there barking a little bit.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: You have to.
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: You gotta get a full sprinted, doesn't matter how many
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: players are in Like, I would love your thoughts on that.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: No, you gotta go. You gotta go get him, like
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: I think, especially if somebody's over on like if it
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: happens like on their their sideline, like and there's somebody
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: like you know, you know, another team kind of like
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: surround somebody, like, you gotta go get your boy. I
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: think we were saying, I mean, most places party we
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: called bucks picking up bucks like go, you know, get
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: to the pile. You know, you don't know what's happening.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Some teams are some teams are you know, doing some
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: stupid shit, you know, in the pile, Go get your boys,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: you know, but if it's your quarterback, I think everyone's
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: got to be there, you know. And I think that's
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: a standard that we've said, standard that that Bake kind
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: of elevates. But yeah, I think all levels of football like,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: go get your quarterback.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Personality wise, what's it? What's it like being teammates
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: with another friend of the show, Tez Johnson. There's always
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: opportunities that come up when starters go down, Like you
- 1:24:46Speaker 2: guys have had a lot of injuries across your wide
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: receiver group, and seeing Tez get a couple opportunities take
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: advantage of a couple of plays to the point to
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: where in his personality, you just know when he assumed
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: that the MVP chant was for him and seeing him
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: having fun on the sidel about it. Uh, take a
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: second to talk about playing with Tesz Johnson because he
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: just seems like he seems so much fun to be around.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Yeah, he is. He's a riot that cracked me up
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: that m VP thing. MVP for me, But I think
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: that's I think that's again part of his personality, just
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: a just a lighthearted dude, lighthearted kid, just out there
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: having fun, like you said we had had some guys
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: go down and he hit a step up And I
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: mean that that catch he had the other week, like
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: the diving kid, Like that's insane just watching him, like
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: how athletic he is, Like he did that the like
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: the round off. I don't even know what it is, Like,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: that's that's crazy. That could my knees would never But no,
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Tes is an awesome kid. It's it's fun having him
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: in the huddle. He's just he just makes everyone laugh.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: I gotta know too, Like if if Mike Evans was
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: on the pod, like hey, what happened when him and
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: Tes they were like randy to each other on the sideline,
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: like it seemed like somebody, yeah, yeah.
- 1:25:59Speaker 4: Like we got it. Just assume that's testing like in
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: year twelve, you.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Have to I don't know what went on, but guys,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I love you. I'm putting that one on you.
- 1:26:07Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, Like you watch it as a viewer that
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: doesn't even know the route concept like gotta be on test.
- 1:26:12Speaker 4: There's no way that's on my.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: No, but you can't put that on thirteen, no.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: Doubt, no doubt. What's it? What is it like for
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: you to watch? Like I think it was last year
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: right here. Eleven thousand yard seasons in a row. How like,
- 1:26:25Speaker 4: I guess, how cool is that? Right?
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: Like that?
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: To see a guy do stuff historically and so consistently
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: for so long, it's just got to be awesome to witness.
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: What kind of teammate is he?
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: I mean, Mike Evans is the goat you know? Watching him?
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: Watching that, I will say, like the that that game
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: against the Saints to get the thet to keep the
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: street going was was crazy. Well, one, he was hurt,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: he pulled his hands for he missed like four he
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: missed like four weeks like middle of the seasons. We're like,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: oh no, like is he gonna get it? And then
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: comes back and balls out like always. But then like
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: before that last drive when he got the thousand, we
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: had to play like pretty much back like back corner
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: fade like Mike Evans play, and they brought like zero
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: and we kind of like like the old line like
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: missed it and ended up being a scrambled bake flips
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: at the Bucky Bucky scores and like we get to
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: the sideline and Bucky's like should I have slid there?
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: Like did we did we mess up? Like Mike's record
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: right there, and the thing was like if we got
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: the ball back, like like so Op is like is
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: to kneel it out, Like we got the ball back
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: and we're like, no shot, Like We're like Mike needs
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: to get a thousand yards And I think everyone in
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: the stadium knew where the ball was going, like everyone
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: and everyone in everyone there was like Mike' shooting the
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: ball and he like watching him get it and like
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: immediately celebrate, like celebrate with the young guys like it was.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: It was Jayalen mcmill and I think was like the
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: first guy over there, and like I can't imagine like
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: Jalen's point of view of that, like being a guy
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: who's grown up plane wide receiver, like watching Mike Evans
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: and getting to be out on the field when he
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: does something like that. But just watching Mike run over
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: the sideline and celebrate with the boys was just insane.
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: You know, get to see him do something like that
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: and to be in that kind of company with Jerry
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: Rice was super special.
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: That's so cool that the like the rest of the
- 1:28:10Speaker 4: guys were also like yeah, like Bucky scoring a touchdown
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: and be like did I fuck that up?
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: It was crazy. We're like no, like no, like no way,
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: like you don't you score there, like to take the lead,
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: like you know, but it's like that, Yeah, like Mike
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: wasn't really worried about it all week, and we're all like,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: we all it didn't seem like he I mean, obviously
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: he cared about it, but he's like, yeah, it is
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: what it is.
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: It's like he's like, let's he said, let's just win,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: you know. That's that's Mike. And then we're like everyone
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: else was like no, like we're getting I remember to
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: the media, I said, yeah, we're gonna get him a
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: thousand yards? Are you kidding me? You know, like everyone's
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: just like it has to happen. Yeah, and watching it
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: hat like the pop, like the crowd pop when he
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: when he.
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: Got it, it's say.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: About stuff you play for man, that's so awesome.
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: In uh, in a world where you know, the world
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: goes nuts for a big boy touchdown, have you ever
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: lobbied to get a ball thrown your way to get
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: in the zone? If so, like, what kind of celebration
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: can we look forward to?
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, so me and Luke gett a key?
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: He we had a we had a we used to
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: have a pass for him. We've never called it. What's
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: the key and peel sketch where he's like he's like
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: doing the air hump in front of the rev Yeah,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: if that ever gets called, that play. So I think
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: we're gonna do that and he catches it. I would
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: love to catch a touchdown I got I'm not even
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: gonna put it out. That's gonna say I got hands.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: But now if I drop it, then it's you know
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: that's out there forever.
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: Already said it. So that's great.
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not gonna say the quote I'm saying right now,
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: but however we're doing it, buddy, I'm i as a
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: gentleman who is an offens alignment who scored a touchdown.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: There is no better feeling on this whole.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: I know, it's it's kind of be insane. We used
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: to say in college, like you have to punt it
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: like you have like if anyoneys catch a touchdown in college,
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: like we're punning it as hard as we can. I
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: still like that. I think that's a good big guy
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: celebrate and a spike too, Like you can't go wrong
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: with with a classic Spike.
- 1:30:03Speaker 4: There's something about like a choreographed dance as well that
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: I think it goes like the most elaborate type of
- 1:30:10Speaker 4: offensive line like and it's none of the receivers. Is
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: that maybe Bakers in it, but it's just the starting
- 1:30:15Speaker 4: five in the quarterback and it's just like some ultra elaborate,
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: like you know, top hat type of thing.
- 1:30:21Speaker 2: Over and over.
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: It's like, oh, they put this in this week, and
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: they spent more time doing the celebration than they did
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: actually practicing the play.
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: That's the play you practiced play on Fridays on goal
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: line for two reps and then you would do the
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: celebration all week.
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: Yeah, no doubt, dude, that is That's what I want.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: For the electric to see a good hip thrust in
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: front of the referee.
- 1:30:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and you got to find them. Take the fifteen. Absolutely,
- 1:30:41Speaker 4: take the fifteen?
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? I don't know. I'll do everything.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: I just run around the field, just.
- 1:30:47Speaker 4: Start take a beer from the stands. Like it's been
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: multiple delayed games, he's still out there, gas ship. Yes dude, yes, buddy.
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: First off, I want to give a bait. Let's give
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: another round of plus to Tristan Worth's bank account. I mean,
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: my god, unbelievable, Kat from Iowa. You strike me as
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: a guy that just just loves the basics.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: You need to be fed, you need to be slepty
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: to be essentially you're a baby, like that's all you
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: truly care about you. I don't think you're like, like,
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: I could be totally wrong. I don't think there's a
- 1:31:22Speaker 4: Lamborghini sitting in your parking space. But when you get
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: that type of contract that you got, what's going through
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: your mind? What is a purchase that you're like, I've
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: always kind of wanted this. I guess I'll get this now. Like,
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: talk to me, boss, what are we getting? No state
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: income tacts in Florida as well?
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Huge? Yeah, I gotta I gotta S Class. I got
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: a Mercedes Benz S Class that was my first second
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: contract purchase. But yeah, I mean, I I don't think
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I don't think we'd fit in a Lambo. I think
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: I don't think there's a big guy friendly.
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Trent Williams Smithson one today you got vehicle.
- 1:32:02Speaker 4: You could also go to the Sequille O'Neil route where
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: I think he has a custom Lamborghini made for him.
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: All of his cars are. There's a YouTube channel. I
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: watched that all of his cars they like extend the
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: rails on the seat, on the seat tracks. It's so cool.
- 1:32:15Speaker 4: Is that one of you is cars? You're thing?
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: I do like cars. I do like cars. I like
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: cars and watches and watches.
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: So when you got when you got that watch from
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: Baker may for you're like, because if you like watches,
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: we don't know. It's okay, it's a safe space. No
- 1:32:31Speaker 4: one's going to see this.
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: No, I get it to my little It's kind of
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: it's got a nice little space on my on my
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: bathroom bathroom counter.
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: Yeah, next to the A P and the rolls. What's
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: that Baker got me that? I think?
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: No, it's a beautiful watch. But no, it was. Yeah,
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: I remember signing that deal. It was it was just
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: life changing. It was, you know, just an unbelievable feeling.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: You know, I'm telling my girlfriend and my son and
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: my teammates there, you know at the press conference, was
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: was awesome. I didn't pull out a suit. I should
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: have pulled out a suit like you. I didn't even
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: I was lifting when they told me they're doing we're
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: doing the press conference. I came in like the stringer
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: tank top. I was like, I was like, should I change?
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: And I was like now, I was like, this will
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: be fun, this'll be funny.
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: If you're not going to go suit, the stringer tank top.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: Is the move? Yeah, it was, but it was it
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: was awesome, like having all my friends there, like I said,
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: my son and my girlfriend Meredith was was was incredible.
- 1:33:27Speaker 4: God, that's awesome. Well kind of so, big car guy,
- 1:33:29Speaker 4: how many cars do we have?
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: I have a Raptor love the great vehicle and my
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: girlfriend drives a range over Okay, all.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: Right, so love cars more like looking than we do
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: like having a collection. Yeah, gotcha, smart, smart man.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: If you could talk to your younger self or for
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: the young cats out there listening to Tristan worfs I
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: busting with the boys, Oh, what's something you wish younger
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: players understood about what it takes to succeed in the NFL.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: That's a good one. I just think hard work, you know,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: like keep your nose to the grindstone, like obviously, Like
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: and I get these messages you know, from kids on
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: on like social media, like I'm from a you know,
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: a small town. They're like they nobody, They're like, no
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: one's gonna find me, and I'm like, I know the feeling, brother,
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: you know, it's uh, just keep working, you know. They're
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: like people are always gonna find you. You know. Don't
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: let anyone, don't let anyone say you can't do something.
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: Just keep grinding and stuff. And it is a different
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: I say that it is a different animal coming from
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: college to the NFL. The speed is different, but it's
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: it's an adjustment. You know, going from high school to
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: college is a big adjustment. Remember Anthony Nelson. You know,
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: it's it's awesomeated to play with.
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: One of my college teammates, my my freshman year of college,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: he dog walked me in training camp and I'm like,
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: son of a gun. But then you get over it.
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: You know, it's you. You adjust to the speed. And
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: I think the same thing coming from college the NFL,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: Like JPP and Shaq Barrett were dog walking me. But
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: it's like, don't give up and keep working and everything's
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: gonna work out.
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: Yeah. I love that.
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: Superstitions. Everyone's got them, whether they're a little stitious or
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: a lot of Stitshes like, talk to me about your
- 1:35:14Speaker 4: stes before a game.
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: I would say I'm a little stitious. It's I eat
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: the same breakfast four egg scramble, bacon, ham, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: I I I have to get ready the same way,
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: and I don't notice it until like someone asked me
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: a question. I'm super serious. I say no, and then
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: I'm like, well, I guess I do put. I have
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: to put things on the right art, I have to
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: put my pads in my pants in the specific order
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: right and left, the right quad, left quad. Just just
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: little things like that. I think you like the same,
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: the same trainer tapes me like, I'm like, I can't
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: do it, and I've I try a new Preer cleats
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: the other week and halftime I said, get these off.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Can't do it, had to go to had to go
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: to the old cleat. So it's like, I think it's
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: little things like that, but try and break the mold.
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, you know, trust new cleats. No shot,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: no shot.
- 1:36:08Speaker 4: And it's like, yeah, you're just stitious enough too. When
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: there is something new in the fold, like okay, yeah
- 1:36:13Speaker 4: the shooter sleep books got a nice maybe y'all thinking
- 1:36:17Speaker 4: about it your brain, yeah, And then yeah, it's like, okay,
- 1:36:20Speaker 4: you have a tougher game, and you're like, what did
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: I do wrong? Because my preparation was the same as
- 1:36:25Speaker 4: far as watching film, But maybe I took this turn
- 1:36:28Speaker 4: instead of that turn when going to the stadium. It's
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: it's always like the not superstitious guys that always like
- 1:36:33Speaker 4: play back in their head, like what what was the
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: stitious thing I should have done differently? That maybe be subconscious.
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: And I don't get how the guys do new cleats
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: every week. I've never I'm kind of like you, like
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: I'm always using the old ones. Like if I get
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: a new pair of cleats, they have to go through
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: two weeks of practice before I'll test drive them in
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: a game.
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: See.
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: I was like, that's crazy, yeah wearing one? Like what
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: brand new pair of game? I see? Yeah, guys do that.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: I'm like, no, no way.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: They got their uniform completely laid out on the floor
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: in the crazy trying to match up the swag because
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: When I played in college, I would wear besides fourteen shoe,
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: I would wear size thirteen because I like having I
- 1:37:08Speaker 4: have my feet like compressed in there. And then my
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: first couple of years, my first two years in LEGU,
- 1:37:13Speaker 4: I would have one pair of cleats from the days
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: training camp started till about week eight, and then I
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: would switch out shoes. And then right around year three,
- 1:37:20Speaker 4: I was like, I want to get back to like
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: the tight shoes. So I wore new cleats every single week,
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: and I really, I really like that. But the laying
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: out the uniform making it look nice as if it's
- 1:37:30Speaker 4: gonna post for its own picture, I don't. I don't
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: understand it.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that far is crazy. Yeah, the size down in
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: cleats is crazy. That's that's that's like, that's like bugging
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: me almost. I gotta be comfortable, like I.
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: Just told you, downsize in new pair of cleats every week.
- 1:37:47Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, I like it. I like my feet to
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: be like crammed. I feel more agile when everything's like
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: in there condensed together instead of just a bunch of
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: bones working individually. That motherfucker's a brick. That guy's got
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: like a bricks in there moving around. Yeah. Yeah, well college,
- 1:38:03Speaker 4: you know how it works, man, Yeah, you know how
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: it works. What else we got?
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: Will we got the bud like questions.
- 1:38:09Speaker 4: Weill had a big question for you, was the question you.
- 1:38:11Speaker 2: Want to ask bud like questions.
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: It was a huge one was different.
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: I was gonna hit the bud light question. Do the
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: bud like questions. Okay, we got a bud like question
- 1:38:22Speaker 2: that we ask everybody here. People would do anything for
- 1:38:25Speaker 2: an ice cool bud light. What's one thing that you
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: would do anything for? You cannot say family.
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: Can't say family?
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: And then I have a follow up after you have
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: this answer.
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: What's something I would do anything for?
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: A couple examples. Steve Ranilla, he is from me eater,
- 1:38:42Speaker 4: big hunter guy. He said he wants to make a
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: documentary that no one cares about. He wouldn't tell us
- 1:38:47Speaker 4: on air. He did tell us off air for that reason,
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: I will not tell you on air.
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: Brock brock Bauer said he do anything for just a
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: nice cut, a steak, a nice steak dinner. Yeah.
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: And most coaches say super Bowl or National Championship, depending
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: what field they're in. You've already got a Super Bowl,
- 1:39:04Speaker 4: You've got an All Pro, You've got Pro Bowls, You've
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: got the largest contract in NFL history for an offensive lineman.
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: You got your s class mm hmm.
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: Do you have a you do you have you? You
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: said you have a son? I do would you like
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: him to be heir to the throne like a generational
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: come up. Can't say we can't say family, but if
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: it's like I would do anything.
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a big boy, so can't say family. This
- 1:39:35Speaker 1: is like I feel like this is an old line answer.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: I would do anything for like a clean game of
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: pass Pro.
- 1:39:39Speaker 4: Oh that is that's an underrated answer.
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: Is that crazy?
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: Can I add to that for just a second?
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: Go ahead, go ahead, clean game of pass Pro?
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: But also a game like you're not stressed out about
- 1:39:50Speaker 4: pass Pro before, Like, let me like a a worry free,
- 1:39:54Speaker 4: an anxious free game while also having the most productivity. Yeah,
- 1:40:00Speaker 4: that is, buddy, that might be the best answer we've heard.
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: There's nothing more stressful in that first third and six
- 1:40:07Speaker 4: of the game. You're like, are my hands working today?
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: Are my feet really where they need to be?
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: I had a good week, but warm ups didn't feel
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: the best.
- 1:40:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I had a little something was just a little
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: different man something. So yeah, hey, that's a great answer,
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: and it's it's a it sucks that you have to
- 1:40:22Speaker 4: be put on the spot like that, but you definitely
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: answer the bell. It's why the number twenty eight player
- 1:40:26Speaker 4: in the top one hundred answered the bell answered the
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: bell that way, left tackle, right tackle? Which one do
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: you prefer?
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: I was, I think we've tackling.
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the correct answer. Yeah, that's no shade at right.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: Is there a reason behind it?
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: I don't know, I honestly don't. It's just like the
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: longer I'm over on the left side, like the more
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: comfortable I feel, and like I felt really comfortable on
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: the right side. I will say like I was like
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: I was you guys know, I was like I was
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: stressing about the move because I was like in my head,
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: I was like, I'm doing fine over here. I was like,
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: why do I got to move? And I was like,
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: I was like I kept coming, just more reps, Like
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: just get as many reps you can and it'll be fine.
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: And I was like, I was like, your first year
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: might not you know, it might not be pretty. But
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: I was like, we'll get through it. And yeah, the
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: longer I'm over here on the left side, like the
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: more comfortable I get in, which you know, it's a
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: good feeling, you know, trying to keep getting better.
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but some of the title like left tackle and
- 1:41:35Speaker 4: right tackle doesn't mean as much anymore.
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: Because over the board, yes, left tackle.
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: Yeah, something, I saying left tackle, dude? Inside, Hey what
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: position you played tackle?
- 1:41:48Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: Left or right?
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: Left?
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: You're like, oh, all right, he must have been an athlete.
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: Like there's still like the casual fan out there that
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: believes in that. It's like, I'm with you cause you're
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: I mean, other than your accolades that are of the mine,
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: you're ranking in the top one hundred, Like you can
- 1:42:03Speaker 4: also play right tackle, dude. I was horrendous. Like my
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: first year when I get drafted. I got drafted with
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: a ten year vet at left tackle and Michael Orr
- 1:42:11Speaker 4: who they just got free agency, and so they're like, hey,
- 1:42:14Speaker 4: we drafted you eleven overall to be a swing guy
- 1:42:16Speaker 4: in the first year, like let it get your feet.
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: What type of thing? Yeah?
- 1:42:18Speaker 4: And I had to take snaps at right tackle, bro,
- 1:42:21Speaker 4: And I was like, if I'm ever put in a
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: game at right tackle, my career will be over it,
- 1:42:26Speaker 4: will it?
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: Will you play? Did you play only left at Michigan?
- 1:42:30Speaker 4: Yeah, only left at Michigan And then I didn't play
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: offensive line until my senior year at Chaparral With's Arizona
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: by the way, so I only only was left tackle.
- 1:42:38Speaker 4: We go in, like you know the rhino and elephant
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: when they bring the left tackle over to the right side. Ye,
- 1:42:43Speaker 4: so I take it like a handful of snaps and
- 1:42:45Speaker 4: I was like a six tie, like a tight end.
- 1:42:47Speaker 4: Kind of also my rookie year for a little bit.
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: But buddy, it is so it's so impressive that people
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: don't realize how hard it is to actually go from
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: a right handed stance to a left hand stance. Because
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: I could not. I would have been you're the guy,
- 1:42:59Speaker 4: I guaranteed. Coach came in say we're going to move
- 1:43:01Speaker 4: to left tackle and there was a hesitation in your
- 1:43:04Speaker 4: voice for a moment and then you go, yes, sir,
- 1:43:05Speaker 4: any way to help the team. I would have been
- 1:43:08Speaker 4: a cancer about it, like you want to you want
- 1:43:11Speaker 4: to do what to me? Like I I hate saying
- 1:43:14Speaker 4: it about myself, but I would absolutely I would have
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: fought tooth and nail once I've established myself. But yeah,
- 1:43:20Speaker 4: what was the follow up question?
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: You have pastor present somebody you'd love to have an
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: ice cool bud light with for some good conversation.
- 1:43:31Speaker 4: Oh that's a great one. Dead or alive equal to
- 1:43:36Speaker 4: pastor present?
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh, dead or alive.
- 1:43:43Speaker 4: Yeah, while you're thinking too. When I saw you scratch
- 1:43:48Speaker 4: your beard, I noticed a watch. Is that the is
- 1:43:50Speaker 4: that the one baker got you?
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: This one is not? This one is not. I should
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: have worn it.
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: I should Yeah, I know, I know.
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: It was.
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: A beer with one and.
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: Die a beer with It's like, this is like a
- 1:44:02Speaker 1: big question.
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: Time to we don't have Yeah, this is our day.
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: We have post production editing power here.
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it. I think I would want to
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: have a beer with this is this is this is
- 1:44:19Speaker 1: little kid? Meet is Albert Poohles.
- 1:44:23Speaker 4: Okay, ye, all right.
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: I was obsessed with Albert Pools when I was kidd.
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: I was number five when I played baseball. I think
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: that'd be that would just like do something for me
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: and and younger me, that'd be that'd be I think
- 1:44:38Speaker 1: that'd be really cool.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: So is this essentially a public invite to Albert Poohols
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: to come to one of Tampa Bay's games. You will
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: take care of everything for Albert Pooholes. Get him on
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: the sideline.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: Albert pooh Holes, if you're hearing this clip, I got
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: you covered at a Bucks game. Let's have a beer.
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: I got I got, I gotta, I got everything covered.
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: Hey, that would be insane, would could get and he
- 1:45:07Speaker 2: ends up going to the game. Yes, were you a ballplayer?
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: I'm assuming you were pretty good basic play baseball for
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: a while. He was number five, number five, first basement.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: Did you hit the three four slot three and four?
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: Yeah? Okay, I was d HL too. That's the best
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: to choose seeds and hit dingers.
- 1:45:25Speaker 2: Seeds anders top Maybe you have a list, maybe a
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: top three, but your go to sunflower seed.
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: Number one is Buffalo style, ranch number two is original,
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: and three is barbecue.
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: That's a great list. It's a great list.
- 1:45:42Speaker 4: I don't.
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: But it's a call. It's it's paying homage, you know.
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: What I mean.
- 1:45:49Speaker 4: The original flavor guy, a flavor guy.
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Tristan, you're the man. Bro. Thank you

- 1:49:39Speaker 4: Fantastic? Probably not as good as you massive game you
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: just won. Talk to you about morale, talk to me
- 1:49:45Speaker 4: about vibes. Just you personally right now? How are you feeling?
- 1:49:48Speaker 9: I'm feeling good. I just got an email notification hereon Lark.
- 1:49:51Speaker 9: Can you come do this?
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: Can you guys hear me?
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we can hear you.
- 1:49:55Speaker 9: Okay, I just lost the screen. Hang on, here we go,
- 1:49:58Speaker 9: all right, hopefully maintain It's okay.
- 1:50:03Speaker 4: Is that email notification? You have to do a diego
- 1:50:05Speaker 4: Pavia winning the Heisman?
- 1:50:07Speaker 9: Yeah, he just wanted.
- 1:50:08Speaker 4: Oh wow, congratulations, thanks.
- 1:50:10Speaker 9: Big moment for Vannerbilt. Yeah. No, vibes, vibes. Vibes are high,
- 1:50:15Speaker 9: and you know, I mean, I guess that said. I
- 1:50:19Speaker 9: mean it's it's you know, success brings a different kind
- 1:50:22Speaker 9: of adversity, and this group's mature, like we've maintained focused.
- 1:50:27Speaker 9: I think this is where we planned on Ben. It's
- 1:50:29Speaker 9: just feels good to be here, you know, and feels
- 1:50:31Speaker 9: good to have something at stake every weekend. So it's
- 1:50:35Speaker 9: been cool.
- 1:50:36Speaker 4: How do you handle uh, your quarterbacks personality? And this
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: not just your quarterbackss not, but this new age of
- 1:50:43Speaker 4: college football where it used to be very old school, right,
- 1:50:46Speaker 4: No bulletin board material, guys, We're going to focus on
- 1:50:48Speaker 4: the game in the game at hand. Diego comes on
- 1:50:51Speaker 4: our show earlier this summer and he says, hey, before
- 1:50:53Speaker 4: we get started, I'm not going to give any bulletin
- 1:50:55Speaker 4: board material to anybody. And then he walks away from
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: that podcast, and I'm thinking that felt like the most
- 1:51:01Speaker 4: boltim Bore material you could ever give to people. But
- 1:51:03Speaker 4: he continues to back it up at this play. How
- 1:51:05Speaker 4: are you handling them in the media? Is it kind
- 1:51:08Speaker 4: of like a Dana White UFC? Listen, you guys have
- 1:51:10Speaker 4: freedom of speech for a reason. You go and run
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: it the way you want to run it. Or are
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: we reeling back at times keeping the program in mind?
- 1:51:18Speaker 9: Or so he set a record for Boltimbore material. I
- 1:51:20Speaker 9: think we made history in that interview, and it was
- 1:51:24Speaker 9: interesting I was. I was traveling, I was going to
- 1:51:27Speaker 9: see the Ravens for a day, and I was had
- 1:51:31Speaker 9: an interview that morning in my office, and and you know,
- 1:51:37Speaker 9: I'm pretty like, I stay pretty insulated from all of it.
- 1:51:41Speaker 9: You know, I'm not I'm not on social media or whatever.
- 1:51:44Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:51:44Speaker 9: I just I kind of keep my head down and
- 1:51:47Speaker 9: stay working. But the person I was I was speaking
- 1:51:50Speaker 9: with mentioned that Diego had made a lot of you know,
- 1:51:55Speaker 9: or there was a lot of buzz about what he
- 1:51:56Speaker 9: had said about Tennessee. And I said, okay, I didn't know.
- 1:52:00Speaker 9: I didn't know anything about it. Well, you know, he
- 1:52:03Speaker 9: said something about running the state of Tennessee. Okay, well
- 1:52:06Speaker 9: we'll deal with that. I'll land in Baltimore, and there's like, oh,
- 1:52:09Speaker 9: there's a few other things that had come up, Okay,
- 1:52:12Speaker 9: we'll deal with that. I spend the day there, I
- 1:52:14Speaker 9: apply back to Nashall Land Air. Then there's a few
- 1:52:17Speaker 9: other things that, you know, And so he and I
- 1:52:19Speaker 9: had a meeting at like five thirty in the morning
- 1:52:21Speaker 9: the next day, and and honest to god, I here's
- 1:52:25Speaker 9: my thought on it. I you know, first of all,
- 1:52:28Speaker 9: Diego has earned the right to speak for himself, and
- 1:52:32Speaker 9: the world doesn't need like a watered down Diego Papya,
- 1:52:35Speaker 9: Like the world doesn't need that. I mean, this guy
- 1:52:37Speaker 9: has charisma, belief, you know. I think too many people
- 1:52:41Speaker 9: will whisper their beliefs, you know, and like want to
- 1:52:44Speaker 9: kind of walk kind of in the shadows and not
- 1:52:47Speaker 9: actually say what they want and go after what they want.
- 1:52:50Speaker 9: And he's he's a guy that does exactly that. And
- 1:52:53Speaker 9: and yet I think there's a balance here between being
- 1:52:58Speaker 9: confident and and and having belief and not also being
- 1:53:02Speaker 9: disrespectful to our opponents and that you know, the bullet
- 1:53:06Speaker 9: important material stuff. It just I don't really care. I
- 1:53:10Speaker 9: don't think that matters, but I do. I do want
- 1:53:13Speaker 9: this group to have a great respect for the teams
- 1:53:16Speaker 9: we play against. And part of our respect is we're
- 1:53:18Speaker 9: gonna We're gonna absolutely do everything we can to win
- 1:53:21Speaker 9: the game, and we are gonna we're going to try
- 1:53:23Speaker 9: to bury the opponent. I mean, that's our attitude, that's
- 1:53:25Speaker 9: our mentality, and we expect them to do the same
- 1:53:28Speaker 9: in return. That's how we learn about ourselves, you know.
- 1:53:31Speaker 9: But we we don't need to we don't need to
- 1:53:34Speaker 9: be disrespectful. And the way we you know, represent our program,
- 1:53:37Speaker 9: represent ourselves, and and so you know, we we had
- 1:53:41Speaker 9: a really good conversation about that kind of stuff. And again,
- 1:53:43Speaker 9: I the other thing I'll say about Diego is he
- 1:53:47Speaker 9: you know like my kids, you know, like my kids
- 1:53:51Speaker 9: look up to him. You know, my kids go to school.
- 1:53:54Speaker 9: I mean, living in Nashville, you're like the melting pot
- 1:53:56Speaker 9: for every SEC team.
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:53:58Speaker 9: And when you're not having sick sess, you know, your
- 1:54:01Speaker 9: kids take some shit for it, Diego Pavia. My kids
- 1:54:06Speaker 9: can walk in with their chest out a little bit, now,
- 1:54:08Speaker 9: you know, I mean they can hell yeah yeah. So
- 1:54:12Speaker 9: I like I told him that in that meeting too, Like, dude,
- 1:54:15Speaker 9: I don't want you to change who you are. Man,
- 1:54:16Speaker 9: I love who you are. Let's just be smart and
- 1:54:20Speaker 9: let's understand the ramification of what we say, and and
- 1:54:23Speaker 9: let's always carry respect for our opposition. And the beautiful
- 1:54:28Speaker 9: thing about Diego is that he is totally humble in
- 1:54:32Speaker 9: his process, and he's he's a quiet connector in this building.
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: He's so sincere and authentic, and he's curious man. And
- 1:54:40Speaker 9: I he and I are more alike than we are,
- 1:54:43Speaker 9: you know, dislike, and we just he I couldn't imagine
- 1:54:49Speaker 9: a better person to be taking the stabs for this
- 1:54:51Speaker 9: program at this moment.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: You know too, It's like, uh, if people that weren't aware,
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: it's like, hey, Diego went on bus with the boys,
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: it's like, oh shit.
- 1:54:58Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, because even on our show is not like
- 1:55:03Speaker 4: a hey, we're going to try to get clickbait type
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: of stuff, like we give everybody like the freedom like
- 1:55:07Speaker 4: if they say something like hey, I felt very uncomfortable
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: about that. Can we can we cut that? We're the
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: first ones to go yeah. Absolutely. And after the after
- 1:55:14Speaker 4: the episode, I hate Diego, like you feel good about
- 1:55:16Speaker 4: all that? And he's like, yeah, if anything, I felt
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: like I was pretty good about not getting Multimore with
- 1:55:22Speaker 4: That's why I just took a step back and I
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: was like, all right, He's like, you seem kind of uptight. Yeah,
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: I'm just thinking about it, Clark Lee. But yeah, go ahead,
- 1:55:29Speaker 4: Yeah yeah.
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: Coach, You're very much known for like culture and process,
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: and what I want to ask is how has a
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: player like Diego challenge your perspective on personalities and dealing
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: with players and athletes like you know they're there. Diego's
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: become such a big name, it's like they're on uh
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: Pat McFee last week with Saban, He's like, there would
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: there'd be a conversation him doing the victory, the kneeling
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: and everything else. How has a player like Diego aallenge
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: you to, Hey, this is a completely different player. Like
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: he's walking with ski masks, Like everybody's fired up about
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: this dude. The way he kind of carries himself with
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: that swagger. It's getting to a point to where people
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: are having like, oh, I hate this kid. He seems arrogant,
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: he seems cocky, YadA, YadA, YadA. But a man with
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: your background, a man like again of culture and process.
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: How has Diego challenged you to think differently with him specifically?
- 1:56:24Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, I mean certainly, he's he's a he's
- 1:56:27Speaker 9: a different He's a different dude that way. I mean,
- 1:56:31Speaker 9: I think I think part of my growth is a
- 1:56:34Speaker 9: head coach, you know, like when you're a position coach,
- 1:56:37Speaker 9: you can pretty well you got twelve to fifteen guys,
- 1:56:40Speaker 9: and you can build a culture you kind of recruit
- 1:56:42Speaker 9: into your room. And I don't know that it's very
- 1:56:45Speaker 9: natural kind of the connection and the attitude, the mentality
- 1:56:50Speaker 9: is all kind of there for you pretty naturally. As
- 1:56:53Speaker 9: a coordinator, you got about fifty guys and you're you're
- 1:56:55Speaker 9: doing the same, but you're still recruiting to that room.
- 1:56:58Speaker 9: It's your kind of personal touch on As a head coach,
- 1:57:00Speaker 9: it's just totally different. And I think when I when
- 1:57:04Speaker 9: I started, first of all, this place was it was
- 1:57:07Speaker 9: so sick, you know, we had so far to come,
- 1:57:10Speaker 9: and it was we had to learn how to care
- 1:57:12Speaker 9: about ourselves first. I mean it was it was pretty bleak.
- 1:57:15Speaker 9: And so I don't I don't actually judge the way
- 1:57:19Speaker 9: I approached the early parts of this because I think
- 1:57:22Speaker 9: I had to approach it that way. But also, you know,
- 1:57:26Speaker 9: I've learned a lot about control, you know, controls and illusion,
- 1:57:30Speaker 9: and I think coaching is about impact and my job
- 1:57:34Speaker 9: is to ensure alignment. And and also if if I
- 1:57:40Speaker 9: put everyone in a box or if I expect everyone
- 1:57:43Speaker 9: to take on, like I want my personality to show
- 1:57:46Speaker 9: up and how we play like that's important. I want
- 1:57:48Speaker 9: to turn the film on and see a team that
- 1:57:50Speaker 9: knows their head coach and we play with edge and
- 1:57:52Speaker 9: we you know, we're playing hard and physical and all
- 1:57:55Speaker 9: those things are important to me.
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, to get that
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: if if everything goes through me.
- 1:58:02Speaker 9: If everybody's a little mini version of me, the program
- 1:58:06Speaker 9: will only be as good as I am good. And
- 1:58:10Speaker 9: I don't want that. I want people to bring their personalities.
- 1:58:13Speaker 9: I want them to bring their creative energy. And when
- 1:58:16Speaker 9: it's be you aligned with us. Now, I mean, there's
- 1:58:18Speaker 9: certain standards and expectations. You know, if if Die goes
- 1:58:23Speaker 9: out in the world talking shit and not showing up
- 1:58:24Speaker 9: on time, I got a problem with that, right, I mean,
- 1:58:27Speaker 9: so there's obviously that's not the case. But as an
- 1:58:29Speaker 9: example of you know, the things that we matter, the
- 1:58:32Speaker 9: mission's winning. So anything that impacts winning, I want it
- 1:58:35Speaker 9: done at the highest possible level. I want you to
- 1:58:37Speaker 9: bring your personality. I want you to bring your creative energy.
- 1:58:40Speaker 9: I want you to feel ownership stake in this as
- 1:58:43Speaker 9: a co creator, and in that way we amplify Vanderbilt Football.
- 1:58:47Speaker 9: And that way, it's the collective spirit that makes us dangerous.
- 1:58:52Speaker 9: And so to long winded way to answer your question,
- 1:58:55Speaker 9: I think it's not that he's challenged me. I've learned
- 1:58:58Speaker 9: a lot about the balance of giving this program room
- 1:59:03Speaker 9: to breathe, and as I've gained trust in the team
- 1:59:07Speaker 9: through our process, I've allowed for it to breathe a
- 1:59:11Speaker 9: little more, and I think that's a healthy balance obviously,
- 1:59:14Speaker 9: you know, I mean I challenge these guys every week
- 1:59:17Speaker 9: and there's certain things again that we're they're boundaries here.
- 1:59:20Speaker 9: You know, we have very specific things that we ask
- 1:59:23Speaker 9: of our guys. But as long as we're within those boundaries,
- 1:59:28Speaker 9: like I want them to feel like they bring their
- 1:59:30Speaker 9: personalities and that's what makes us unique.
- 1:59:32Speaker 4: Well, you've definitely established an amazing culture, so much so
- 1:59:36Speaker 4: that we're seeing all these openings in these big time
- 1:59:39Speaker 4: schools going on and your name slowly getting sprinkled around
- 1:59:42Speaker 4: a little bit. Hey, Clark Lee's at Vanderbilt, Like what's
- 1:59:45Speaker 4: gonna Florida? Looks like a nice one, Clark Lee? Hey,
- 1:59:48Speaker 4: LSU is looking pretty solid when these things are coming up. Obviously,
- 1:59:51Speaker 4: it's a massive compliments not only you but to your
- 1:59:53Speaker 4: players in the product that they're putting on the field.
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: But how are you handling that noise, not just with
- 1:59:58Speaker 4: the team, but also with your only as well.
- 2:00:01Speaker 9: Yeah, well, I mean, you know, look that the standard
- 2:00:05Speaker 9: response is when you're getting attention, it's a good thing
- 2:00:07Speaker 9: because you know, it means you're having success. And there's
- 2:00:09Speaker 9: true to that. Obviously, these kind of you know, early season,
- 2:00:13Speaker 9: mid season coaching changes are just brutal to me, a
- 2:00:18Speaker 9: brutal part of this business. And I this is such
- 2:00:21Speaker 9: a personal, such a human endeavor, and you guys know
- 2:00:23Speaker 9: because y'all have done it. I mean, your connection with
- 2:00:26Speaker 9: your team is like as a family connection, or at
- 2:00:30Speaker 9: least it is for us. So I couldn't imagine not
- 2:00:33Speaker 9: not being able to finish out a journey with a
- 2:00:35Speaker 9: group of guys that have poured so much into this,
- 2:00:38Speaker 9: And so I don't love that this becomes kind of
- 2:00:43Speaker 9: the nature of the beast here middle of the season. Certainly,
- 2:00:47Speaker 9: our success is a credit to so many people that
- 2:00:50Speaker 9: are sacrificing and investing in this, suffering for it, and
- 2:00:55Speaker 9: so obviously I applaud that rumors can come from every where,
- 2:01:00Speaker 9: and so you know, I'm not in direct conversation with
- 2:01:03Speaker 9: anybody about anything right now, and my only focus is
- 2:01:07Speaker 9: on getting the most out of this season. We We
- 2:01:10Speaker 9: have put so much into this, and yet right all
- 2:01:14Speaker 9: that buzz that surrounds it can come from any corner
- 2:01:17Speaker 9: of the internet, and that is what it is. I
- 2:01:20Speaker 9: believe the team, they they you know, they see my consistency,
- 2:01:25Speaker 9: They know my routines, they know exactly where I'm at
- 2:01:28Speaker 9: every day and what I'm doing. I have not sense
- 2:01:31Speaker 9: that any of that kind of external noise has penetrated
- 2:01:34Speaker 9: our locker room.
- 2:01:37Speaker 1: And they know that.
- 2:01:38Speaker 9: My My focus first and foremost, both short term and
- 2:01:40Speaker 9: long term, is how to position this program at a
- 2:01:43Speaker 9: championship level. And I think we've done that. You know,
- 2:01:48Speaker 9: we we have stayed on course in alignment in that
- 2:01:50Speaker 9: way to this point. Now we you know, we have
- 2:01:54Speaker 9: still ground to cover to get this thing to a
- 2:01:57Speaker 9: point of sustainability, and so now is a moment for
- 2:01:59Speaker 9: me to push on that. But like as far as
- 2:02:03Speaker 9: my family goes, I mean, obviously, you know, everyone sees
- 2:02:09Speaker 9: the rumors and then they start to you know, reach
- 2:02:12Speaker 9: out to my wife. You know, Like I had no
- 2:02:15Speaker 9: conversation with my oldest son a couple of weeks ago,
- 2:02:19Speaker 9: because what I don't want to have happen is he
- 2:02:21Speaker 9: goes to school and the kids are talking to him
- 2:02:25Speaker 9: about you know, hey, I heard your dad this or that.
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:02:27Speaker 9: I just want to make sure he knew that anything
- 2:02:30Speaker 9: that would be big would come for me, that we
- 2:02:32Speaker 9: would have conversations about that and for him not to
- 2:02:35Speaker 9: worry about any of that stuff that gets to him
- 2:02:38Speaker 9: at school. The younger two, I don't think you know,
- 2:02:40Speaker 9: they they're just they're at recess and stuff like that.
- 2:02:42Speaker 2: I think at the time, coach man, like you guys,
- 2:02:47Speaker 2: Vanderbilt has never done what you guys are doing now.
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: And being a cat that was born here, being a
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: cat that played fullback at Vanderbilt, what has it meant
- 2:02:57Speaker 2: for you to I mean, you're the face of the
- 2:03:00Speaker 2: pro right now. Like looking back and reflecting on your
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: process on your journey. What does it meant for you
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: when you are sitting with your family or you're sitting
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: with your wife and kind of having those reflective moments
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: on where Vanderbilt is at currently at the moment.
- 2:03:14Speaker 9: Well, I feel I feel very grateful. I mean, you'd say,
- 2:03:19Speaker 9: sitting with my wife and thinking about it. I mean, shoot, man,
- 2:03:23Speaker 9: over the last five years, there have been some really
- 2:03:26Speaker 9: low moments here and some really hard moments.
- 2:03:29Speaker 1: I think in some ways.
- 2:03:32Speaker 9: What we've experienced in the way of pain has made
- 2:03:35Speaker 9: kind of what we experience now all the sweeter. And
- 2:03:37Speaker 9: it's you guys know how football is, man, You don't,
- 2:03:40Speaker 9: You just can't hang on to it. That long. I mean,
- 2:03:43Speaker 9: good game, bad game, next game, and you wake up
- 2:03:45Speaker 9: on so it's like, well, yoh, we talk as a team.
- 2:03:47Speaker 9: It's like you live, you die on Saturday, you wake
- 2:03:49Speaker 9: up on Sunday, you start anew right. I mean, that's
- 2:03:52Speaker 9: just the process.
- 2:03:53Speaker 1: But it is so.
- 2:03:57Speaker 9: Refreshing that as we go through our process that the
- 2:04:02Speaker 9: buzz around our program is positive because for forever, honestly,
- 2:04:06Speaker 9: there was there was zero attention being paid. And not
- 2:04:09Speaker 9: that we do it for attention, but when you're getting attention,
- 2:04:11Speaker 9: it's because you're on course with your goals. So it's
- 2:04:15Speaker 9: personal being in Nashville, being a Vandy alom, having such
- 2:04:19Speaker 9: a belief in what is possible at Vanderbilt, and even
- 2:04:23Speaker 9: even having that belief met with just skepticism everywhere. You know,
- 2:04:28Speaker 9: to finally be at point a point of breakthrough, it
- 2:04:31Speaker 9: feels great. You know again, I just for me, it's
- 2:04:36Speaker 9: about how I shift very quickly into thinking about what
- 2:04:39Speaker 9: the next steps are and how we continue to position
- 2:04:41Speaker 9: this program in a place of strength in an ever
- 2:04:45Speaker 9: changing landscape. And uh, you know, so you just again,
- 2:04:50Speaker 9: you can't hang on to it too long.
- 2:04:51Speaker 4: Yeah, there's never a time you can in a football world.
- 2:04:54Speaker 4: There's never a time to be fully present. You're always
- 2:04:56Speaker 4: looking looking towards the future, of which you can't accomplish.
- 2:05:00Speaker 4: A guy that hired you at one point, Brian Kelly,
- 2:05:02Speaker 4: he just lost his job. And I know you guys
- 2:05:05Speaker 4: have some type of relationship, whether it be positive or negative.
- 2:05:08Speaker 4: But I want to hear about you hearing that news.
- 2:05:12Speaker 4: What it kind of means for college football now seeing
- 2:05:14Speaker 4: this many coaching changes or coach coaching firings happening at
- 2:05:19Speaker 4: the middle point of the season in college football, that's
- 2:05:21Speaker 4: kind of a newer type of fib or at least
- 2:05:23Speaker 4: this many. But yeah, what's your relationship like with Brian Kelly?
- 2:05:26Speaker 4: We sent a text, we do a FaceTime like, how
- 2:05:28Speaker 4: is that whole thing?
- 2:05:30Speaker 9: Well, first of all, I mean, I've got so much
- 2:05:32Speaker 9: respect for him, and he gave me an opportunity when
- 2:05:37Speaker 9: you know, I mean he didn't have to, and I'm
- 2:05:41Speaker 9: eternally grateful for that. I mean that changed the course
- 2:05:43Speaker 9: of my career in my life, and I had to
- 2:05:46Speaker 9: make the most of it. But you know, he supported
- 2:05:48Speaker 9: me through it and really grew and mentor me. And
- 2:05:50Speaker 9: then the other thing too, that as I was becoming
- 2:05:53Speaker 9: a head coaching candidate. That always I always appreciated about
- 2:05:57Speaker 9: b K was he was never threatened by that. It
- 2:06:01Speaker 9: was he like he would when when I would go
- 2:06:04Speaker 9: on interviews or when I'd have people calling, he would
- 2:06:08Speaker 9: always sit with me and be supportive and talk to
- 2:06:10Speaker 9: me about what I need to be looking for. And
- 2:06:12Speaker 9: I mean it was just amazing. Again the level of
- 2:06:15Speaker 9: support and that friendship has been maintained. And you know, hey,
- 2:06:19Speaker 9: we're different people, you know. I mean I wasn't sure
- 2:06:23Speaker 9: how good of a fit I was going to be
- 2:06:25Speaker 9: working for him in Notre Dame, And yeah, I was
- 2:06:29Speaker 9: nervous about that, but I got to be around him
- 2:06:31Speaker 9: at a time in his career where he was really
- 2:06:35Speaker 9: transforming and and and I thought what he did there
- 2:06:39Speaker 9: on the back end of his time and Notre Dame
- 2:06:41Speaker 9: was remarkable. And so you know, I heard for him,
- 2:06:45Speaker 9: I heard for that program. I again, I think we're
- 2:06:49Speaker 9: in a tough spot right now in college football in general.
- 2:06:52Speaker 9: It's it's still the greatest game played, you know. I mean,
- 2:06:55Speaker 9: it's it's such an amazing thing to be a part of,
- 2:06:59Speaker 9: and there's so much emotion involved with it. But but
- 2:07:05Speaker 9: the stakes are getting higher and higher and you know,
- 2:07:08Speaker 9: I don't the financial parts of our game are are
- 2:07:12Speaker 9: are tricky. I think we're still trying to really get
- 2:07:14Speaker 9: a get a feel and get a hold of that. Obviously,
- 2:07:18Speaker 9: you know, with these these coaches getting let go earlier
- 2:07:22Speaker 9: mid mid contract, I mean, there's a lot to be
- 2:07:26Speaker 9: discussed about that. The place I land more than anywhere else,
- 2:07:30Speaker 9: And this is for everyone who's experiencing this is just
- 2:07:34Speaker 9: I've got compassion for the people involved, the families involved,
- 2:07:38Speaker 9: all that's been invested in a place, whether it's Penn
- 2:07:41Speaker 9: State or Florida or LSU, just how painful that is.
- 2:07:46Speaker 9: And I hurt for the players. I heard, for the coaches,
- 2:07:49Speaker 9: I heard for the staffs. I hurt for the families,
- 2:07:51Speaker 9: and I don't. I don't like it, but obviously, you
- 2:07:55Speaker 9: know it's it's we also sign up for these pressure cookers,
- 2:08:01Speaker 9: and you know you have to accept the good with
- 2:08:02Speaker 9: the bad that way and understand it's all a part
- 2:08:05Speaker 9: of it. But you know, at the end of the day,
- 2:08:08Speaker 9: for me, you know, I mahar goes out to coach
- 2:08:12Speaker 9: Kelly and his family and to the LSU program and
- 2:08:15Speaker 9: to those players, and you know, I'm sure he's gonna
- 2:08:19Speaker 9: land on his feet. He's a really good coach, and
- 2:08:22Speaker 9: good things take time. And you know, this is a
- 2:08:25Speaker 9: time in college football where you have to have total
- 2:08:30Speaker 9: alignment from top down. When you have total alignment, you
- 2:08:33Speaker 9: have a chance to position yourself to be competitive in
- 2:08:36Speaker 9: our conference. It's gonna every year look more and more
- 2:08:39Speaker 9: like the NFL, the margins or razor thin. You have
- 2:08:43Speaker 9: to be play with an identity, you have to play
- 2:08:46Speaker 9: with a strategy. You have to execute that every week.
- 2:08:49Speaker 9: And just like in our game against Missouri, it literally
- 2:08:51Speaker 9: came down to the last inch of the grass on
- 2:08:54Speaker 9: the field. You know, It's just these are challenging jobs
- 2:08:59Speaker 9: and you have to be on point. And when you're not,
- 2:09:02Speaker 9: there consequences to pay for that.
- 2:09:04Speaker 2: Brother, where was your heart at when you saw the
- 2:09:07Speaker 2: MISSOO player catch that football on the hell Mary and
- 2:09:10Speaker 2: it was like, you know, everybody's cheering, then it's kind
- 2:09:12Speaker 2: of quiet, like where was your heart beat out? Where
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: was your emotion at during that moment, especially when I
- 2:09:17Speaker 2: was you know, the players are kind of getting on
- 2:09:18Speaker 2: the field celebrating. It's like, hang on a second.
- 2:09:22Speaker 9: Yeah, it felt like the way that game went, and
- 2:09:24Speaker 9: I you know, I was upset early, just well, you know,
- 2:09:29Speaker 9: there was a fumble through the interception started the second half,
- 2:09:32Speaker 9: and I felt like from my vantage point that we
- 2:09:35Speaker 9: dislodged the ball on the return before the aligneman was
- 2:09:40Speaker 9: down who had picked it off, And had that been
- 2:09:43Speaker 9: ruled fumble, I believe the ruling on the field would
- 2:09:48Speaker 9: have been held. I don't know there was a video
- 2:09:50Speaker 9: evidence for anything, but it wasn't. It was it was
- 2:09:52Speaker 9: ruled that the runner was down, and so that was upheld.
- 2:09:55Speaker 9: I was really upset about that.
- 2:09:57Speaker 2: I'm with you that that was bullshit. Yeah.
- 2:09:59Speaker 9: And then and then when when Seti was dragged on
- 2:10:03Speaker 9: the ground on his back and the ball was dislodged,
- 2:10:07Speaker 9: you know, they they ruled it a fumble, and it
- 2:10:10Speaker 9: just so it was one of those games.
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: And again, officials have a hard job. This is not
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: about that.
- 2:10:14Speaker 9: It's it's just about my emotions in the game were
- 2:10:18Speaker 9: such that it felt like some of those things just
- 2:10:20Speaker 9: were piling up on us, and so I couldn't see
- 2:10:25Speaker 9: I couldn't see the play. I was getting feedback that
- 2:10:29Speaker 9: it was incomplete, you know, obviously, which was wrong, and
- 2:10:33Speaker 9: I was just trying to look on the video board
- 2:10:35Speaker 9: to see whether or not he had crossed the plane, well,
- 2:10:37Speaker 9: me and Eli. Eli called to me, and so we
- 2:10:40Speaker 9: were sitting there talking and and he said, it doesn't
- 2:10:45Speaker 9: look like he crossed the plane. But what if they
- 2:10:48Speaker 9: put time back on the clock. And that's when my
- 2:10:51Speaker 9: heart sang because I thought, I thought, God, if we're
- 2:10:54Speaker 9: defending one play, you know, like, hey, we're gonna put
- 2:10:58Speaker 9: one second back of the clock. There's one play from
- 2:10:59Speaker 9: the one inch line. It's like, my god, is that
- 2:11:01Speaker 9: really how this thing's gonna gonna finish out? But fortunately
- 2:11:05Speaker 9: it was it was time.
- 2:11:06Speaker 1: It expired.
- 2:11:07Speaker 9: Obviously the quarterback had scrambled around for a while anyways,
- 2:11:09Speaker 9: so you know it wasn't going to be you know,
- 2:11:12Speaker 9: there was no time left. But that was a it
- 2:11:14Speaker 9: was a moment, man. And we've had a bunch of
- 2:11:17Speaker 9: tight games against them, and I thought a really physical
- 2:11:20Speaker 9: game and I was really proud of our team. I
- 2:11:23Speaker 9: think it's an example of, you know, sometimes you got
- 2:11:25Speaker 9: to outscore people. Sometimes it's just about being gritty and
- 2:11:28Speaker 9: fighting for every blade of grass.
- 2:11:30Speaker 1: And that's what they did.
- 2:11:31Speaker 4: M First off, coach, I before I tell you say this,
- 2:11:35Speaker 4: I love your program. I love the culture, I love
- 2:11:39Speaker 4: the attitude that you guys play with. Now that I've
- 2:11:41Speaker 4: said that, one thing just coming off from an offensive
- 2:11:45Speaker 4: lineman's perspective that I am not a huge fan of
- 2:11:48Speaker 4: because I know if I was in college, I could
- 2:11:50Speaker 4: not have done this because I was a one trick
- 2:11:52Speaker 4: pony and a one trick pony only Why are we
- 2:11:55Speaker 4: flipping guards and tackles from side to side? Because I
- 2:11:59Speaker 4: was a a soali left tackle. But if you put
- 2:12:02Speaker 4: me on the right side, we're talking undrafted free agent,
- 2:12:04Speaker 4: not going to make the team, practice squad guy. Like
- 2:12:06Speaker 4: that's how much of a big difference it was for me. Yeah,
- 2:12:09Speaker 4: why are we flipping dudes? Why are we flipping them
- 2:12:12Speaker 4: back and forth?
- 2:12:13Speaker 9: Well, that's Chris Klanakis are offensive line coach. That's a
- 2:12:18Speaker 9: part of his philosophy. And and you know, obviously the
- 2:12:23Speaker 9: playing right and left, playing both creates challenges schematically.
- 2:12:27Speaker 1: There are ways that you can.
- 2:12:30Speaker 9: Tether those guys together if they're always on the strong side,
- 2:12:33Speaker 9: always on the weak side, Like, there are things, there
- 2:12:36Speaker 9: are plays and play menu that you're getting your tight
- 2:12:39Speaker 9: end surface and those guys all connected with whatever the
- 2:12:43Speaker 9: points are in the run game or the protection calls.
- 2:12:46Speaker 9: So there are things that he believes in and and
- 2:12:49Speaker 9: you know he's he's done it for a long time.
- 2:12:52Speaker 9: The thing I love about so both you know, there's
- 2:12:56Speaker 9: tactical benefits, there are fundamental technical challenges to your point,
- 2:13:00Speaker 9: and I think he's navigated that really well. And the
- 2:13:03Speaker 9: guys have bought into it and believe in it and
- 2:13:06Speaker 9: also know that it challenges them too. But the thing
- 2:13:10Speaker 9: about our offensive line, and I know you guys know
- 2:13:12Speaker 9: kid really well, and how cool was it to see
- 2:13:14Speaker 9: him highlighted, you know, for his physical play and pass
- 2:13:18Speaker 9: protection against LSU.
- 2:13:20Speaker 4: It was awesome.
- 2:13:22Speaker 9: The you know, your your program's culture is going to
- 2:13:26Speaker 9: ultimately be set by your offensive line. The two most
- 2:13:29Speaker 9: important position groups in the building are the O line
- 2:13:33Speaker 9: and the D line. So the offensive line, and I'll
- 2:13:36Speaker 9: tell the team this, they set the tone, They set
- 2:13:38Speaker 9: the course for us. I think what those guys have
- 2:13:41Speaker 9: done in terms of their connection and their belief, what
- 2:13:44Speaker 9: Chris Klenoch has has done and getting that group aligned
- 2:13:49Speaker 9: to play at the level they played in our league
- 2:13:51Speaker 9: is the story of our.
- 2:13:53Speaker 1: Season, you know.
- 2:13:54Speaker 9: And obviously Diego Pavia deserves all the recognition that he gets,
- 2:13:59Speaker 9: but I he would be the first to tell you too,
- 2:14:02Speaker 9: when those guys up front, create the space that they've
- 2:14:04Speaker 9: created when they move people to get the run game going,
- 2:14:08Speaker 9: it means everything to his performance too. And so we
- 2:14:12Speaker 9: are different, you know, and different can be good and
- 2:14:15Speaker 9: different can be bad. But at the end of the day,
- 2:14:18Speaker 9: I love the culture of the environment and the success
- 2:14:21Speaker 9: we're having in our offensive line I think speaks for itself.
- 2:14:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you brought it up. You brought up kid. We
- 2:14:25Speaker 4: obviously have a special relationship with him and it is
- 2:14:27Speaker 4: awesome to see that play versus LSU. And on the
- 2:14:30Speaker 4: flip side, a couple of years ago, there was an
- 2:14:32Speaker 4: LSU offensive lineman that was doing that to Vandy and
- 2:14:35Speaker 4: it's just like cool to see this full transition. You
- 2:14:38Speaker 4: get kid transfers from a Big ten school that's where
- 2:14:41Speaker 4: offensive linement are created. Bring him from Minnesota over there.
- 2:14:44Speaker 4: Can you talk to you about Kid's development? And then
- 2:14:47Speaker 4: I love to see here just a quick scout report
- 2:14:50Speaker 4: where you think he thrives in where can we get
- 2:14:51Speaker 4: a little bit better? And because I'm a big fan
- 2:14:54Speaker 4: of the boy and I think he's got a career
- 2:14:55Speaker 4: ahead of him in the NFL, and I'm excited for him.
- 2:14:58Speaker 9: Well, he's first of all, just there there's when you
- 2:15:01Speaker 9: meet Kate and when you get to know him as
- 2:15:03Speaker 9: a person. The energy brings his attitude, you know, he's
- 2:15:08Speaker 9: got he's a life force. He's such a He's a
- 2:15:11Speaker 9: guy that doesn't have many bad days and and every time,
- 2:15:15Speaker 9: even on the field, man just like I love players
- 2:15:19Speaker 9: that in the moment, they can recognize, you know, the
- 2:15:22Speaker 9: the the mentality, the competitive mindset they need to take
- 2:15:26Speaker 9: on for the unit. And on Saturday, when we were struggling,
- 2:15:29Speaker 9: like he would step on the field ready to tip
- 2:15:31Speaker 9: the field, I mean, and he he had total belief
- 2:15:33Speaker 9: it was the next series is going to be the
- 2:15:35Speaker 9: ones that one they break it in the eye contact,
- 2:15:39Speaker 9: the energy, the attitude that's day and day out with him.
- 2:15:43Speaker 9: Obviously he's a big physical player, and what I think
- 2:15:46Speaker 9: we've seen with him this year, I mean, he's He's
- 2:15:48Speaker 9: also not played a lot of football, you know, so
- 2:15:52Speaker 9: I think his performance, at least from what I've seen
- 2:15:56Speaker 9: weekend week out, is strengthened over time. And I believe
- 2:15:59Speaker 9: what you're going to see is, you know, as we
- 2:16:03Speaker 9: reach the back end of the season, I think you're
- 2:16:06Speaker 9: gonna see a guy that's going to maintain playing at
- 2:16:08Speaker 9: a really high level. You know, look in terms of
- 2:16:12Speaker 9: you know, what he needs to strengthen, I think there's
- 2:16:16Speaker 9: there's there's reason to believe that you know, he can
- 2:16:20Speaker 9: he can improve in in his past protection, there's things
- 2:16:23Speaker 9: he can do for consistency in the run game. But
- 2:16:27Speaker 9: on the whole, I think what you've seen from him
- 2:16:29Speaker 9: is this steady improvement through the season that LSU Clip
- 2:16:34Speaker 9: was was not a one off. I mean, this is
- 2:16:36Speaker 9: how he plays the game. He's tough, he's physical, he's smart,
- 2:16:40Speaker 9: and he's also a guy that that can snap the
- 2:16:43Speaker 9: ball for us too, So you know, he plays really
- 2:16:45Speaker 9: two positions. He plays garden center. And I agree with you.
- 2:16:49Speaker 9: I think he's got a great future ahead of him
- 2:16:51Speaker 9: and I'm glad he's with us. And it has been
- 2:16:54Speaker 9: so much fun to watch him, uh step into this
- 2:16:57Speaker 9: level of performance. And as he has improved, you know,
- 2:16:59Speaker 9: so has our offensive line, so is our program.
- 2:17:02Speaker 2: We absolutely love him. Like he did the internship with
- 2:17:05Speaker 2: us over the summer, honestly insanely surprising how well he did,
- 2:17:08Speaker 2: like editing clips and just immersing himself into what we do.
- 2:17:12Speaker 2: Because I'm thinking this is just going to be you know,
- 2:17:15Speaker 2: this is just going to be a jock brain. He
- 2:17:16Speaker 2: wants an internship, he wants a credit right now. We'd
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: love to have a Vandy O lineman over here. But
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: just very surprising how well he did and just how
- 2:17:25Speaker 2: much he embraced everything. And it's it's just so fun
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: to watch that clip after last week and then he's
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: going viral. He's getting these conversations, he sit downs with
- 2:17:32Speaker 2: the national media. We love him, love love.
- 2:17:35Speaker 4: Him, love him. Have you heard about the bet that
- 2:17:38Speaker 4: I have made with Cad and Diego Pavia. Have you
- 2:17:41Speaker 4: been Have you heard about that rumor?
- 2:17:43Speaker 1: I'm not in that. I'm not okay.
- 2:17:45Speaker 4: Well, the rumor is this, if you guys win the
- 2:17:47Speaker 4: SEC in the National Championship, that I have to take
- 2:17:50Speaker 4: Diego and the entire offensive line to Vegas so they
- 2:17:54Speaker 4: can do the Taos. Yeah, I was, I was. I
- 2:17:59Speaker 4: felt very good about my bet. I felt very good
- 2:18:01Speaker 4: about it, even the poort where I told kid as
- 2:18:03Speaker 4: I listen, I know you're zoomed in. I've played a
- 2:18:06Speaker 4: lot of football. I just don't think I don't think
- 2:18:08Speaker 4: you have the horses. Now I'm sitting here, you guys
- 2:18:09Speaker 4: are seven and one, and I've gone past the point
- 2:18:13Speaker 4: of fear and now I'm in full support, Like I
- 2:18:16Speaker 4: was like, yeah, allow my bank account to get destroyed
- 2:18:19Speaker 4: by these gentlemen there. You guys deserve it, like it's
- 2:18:21Speaker 4: it's very impressive before we get you out of here.
- 2:18:24Speaker 4: Big game at Texas this week. You guys are underdogs.
- 2:18:28Speaker 4: Adversity at this point is something that you guys have
- 2:18:30Speaker 4: just embraced open armed. But you see them have a
- 2:18:34Speaker 4: big comeback win versus Mississippi State arch manning he gets hurt,
- 2:18:37Speaker 4: the backup quarterback comes in there as a phenomenal fadeball
- 2:18:40Speaker 4: and over time to end that game. What are your
- 2:18:44Speaker 4: quick scattering port of Texas and how you guys are
- 2:18:47Speaker 4: approaching that game.
- 2:18:49Speaker 9: Well, I mean, look, you've turned their film on and
- 2:18:53Speaker 9: they have everything they need, you know. I mean there's
- 2:18:56Speaker 9: good play, there's good players, their speed, and so I
- 2:19:00Speaker 9: think the Mississippi State game is a great example of
- 2:19:02Speaker 9: this idea. I mean they were down seventeen points, yes,
- 2:19:06Speaker 9: and it felt like I mean short of the there
- 2:19:10Speaker 9: was a roughing the passer there on a fourth down
- 2:19:12Speaker 9: that extended to drive. Short of that, I mean, they
- 2:19:17Speaker 9: were all but out of it. But this is a
- 2:19:18Speaker 9: team that's never going to be out of it because
- 2:19:20Speaker 9: of the skill they have and the ability they have
- 2:19:22Speaker 9: to close to close gaps quickly. Obviously a huge punt
- 2:19:26Speaker 9: return there also and and and so they can do
- 2:19:30Speaker 9: it in all three phases. You know this this is
- 2:19:33Speaker 9: in some ways the story of kind of two very
- 2:19:36Speaker 9: different programs. You know, we're we we say we're a
- 2:19:39Speaker 9: team of misfits here and and and we're planning against
- 2:19:43Speaker 9: a team that that again has everything they need across
- 2:19:47Speaker 9: the board. We have to played our identity. We have
- 2:19:49Speaker 9: to we have to go there and and play a
- 2:19:51Speaker 9: physical game and obviously pay attention to explosive plays on
- 2:19:57Speaker 9: defense and then special teams. Often, the more we can
- 2:20:00Speaker 9: control the game, which you know we really didn't do
- 2:20:03Speaker 9: against Missouri in terms of possessing, possessing the ball and
- 2:20:07Speaker 9: having third down success, those will be the things to
- 2:20:10Speaker 9: me that that will ultimately allow us to be able
- 2:20:14Speaker 9: to find a win on the road. This is a
- 2:20:16Speaker 9: really good team. It's a well coached team. Our guys
- 2:20:19Speaker 9: will be excited for the challenge though, and this is
- 2:20:21Speaker 9: a shoot man, this is this is why you play
- 2:20:24Speaker 9: in the SEC. Right a November game at Texas with
- 2:20:28Speaker 9: with all everything at stake, it's a it's a great
- 2:20:30Speaker 9: opportunity for us, so we're going to embrace that and
- 2:20:32Speaker 9: have fun with it.
- 2:20:33Speaker 2: Coach Lee, thank you so much for joining us, taking
- 2:20:35Speaker 2: time out of your day, enjoy the week. Good luck
- 2:20:38Speaker 2: against Texas. We are rooting for you here at bus
- 2:20:40Speaker 2: and what the boys are. But thank you so much.
- 2:20:43Speaker 9: Social love what y'all do. It means lots of the
- 2:20:45Speaker 9: honest shoes.
- 2:20:46Speaker 1: Thanks so much.
- 2:20:47Speaker 2: Hey, off season, will need you here on the bus
- 2:20:49Speaker 2: and here in this season.
- 2:20:51Speaker 4: All right, I'll be there at That's a that's a verbal.
- 2:20:54Speaker 2: Commitment, that's right. See you, coach appreciate Thanks
