The Need for Prayer [Repeat] · Compass Point

• 0:07
Compass Point today I want to consider a very short verse from
• 0:10
the Bible. Hi, I'm Pete Smith.
• 0:13
It's found in First Thessalonians 5 verse 17.
• 0:16
Pray without ceasing. It has been rightly said that
• 0:19
prayer does not equip us for greater work.
• 0:22
Prayer is the greater work. Some of God's people are given
• 0:25
the responsibility to preach His Word in public settings, but the
• 0:29
privilege of all God's people is to pray.
• 0:32
It can and must involve the sacrifice of time, the giving up
• 0:36
of other things to focus upon the Lord.
• 0:38
The joy of prayer and the power that flows from it is very much
• 0:42
anchored to the discipline of interceding with God.
• 0:45
The great need today is for true intercessors, and that is the
• 0:49
challenge for each of us who are believers.
• 0:52
Not again at compass point for more daily direction from God's
• 0:55
  Word.
