- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listenings KP I AM six forty the Bill Handles
- 0:04Speaker 1: show on demand on the iHeartRadio apps. That's why our
- 0:13Speaker 1: show is so popular. It's not that it's good, it's
- 0:16Speaker 1: just that everybody else is bad. That's why I only
- 0:20Speaker 1: hang around with poor people, because I'm considered rich among
- 0:25Speaker 1: poor people.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I don't hang around people with a lot of money.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I want to feel rich. And now handle on the news,
- 0:32Speaker 2: ladies and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle and goodmurry, everybody.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's a Monday morning, December twenty two, which means Thursday
- 0:44Speaker 1: is the big day for those of you that celebrate Christmas.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Even those of you that don't.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And today is they six, seven or eight of Hanukkah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Usually Amy at this point jumps in and tells me
- 0:59Speaker 1: what they Honey is, well, what is it?
- 1:01Speaker 3: I've lost? Count?
- 1:02Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Okay, well there's eight. You know it's not that complicated.
- 1:05Speaker 1: You know it's we know it's not one.
- 1:08Speaker 5: And I think today is the last night or last
- 1:10Speaker 5: night was last night?
- 1:11Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:11Speaker 5: It started Monday or last Sunday?
- 1:14Speaker 2: I know you count?
- 1:14Speaker 3: Today's Today's the last day.
- 1:16Speaker 5: Today is the last day.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Oh, it's sweet?
- 1:18Speaker 3: So that does that make a day eighth.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah, well they it's last day and you know, spent
- 1:24Speaker 1: a long time, so I've been to Hebrew School, so
- 1:26Speaker 1: what the hell do I know? And I'm getting a
- 1:28Speaker 1: gift every single night of Hanuka from Lindsay you're.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Getting a gift even though you don't know what the
- 1:34Speaker 3: days of the that is are.
- 1:36Speaker 2: That's correct.
- 1:37Speaker 1: For example, a couple of days ago, I got a
- 1:38Speaker 1: box of matza that was half priced because it was
- 1:44Speaker 1: last Passover and it was one of those that was
- 1:46Speaker 1: still on the shelf. So that was impressive. So I'm
- 1:49Speaker 1: getting some really neat, really neat stuff.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Is that like getting a box of rocks?
- 1:55Speaker 1: No, because you can eat a box of rocks, you
- 1:58Speaker 1: can't eat the matza. Okay, yeah, it's very eating matza.
- 2:03Speaker 1: It's uh, it's it's a cracker. That's well imagine this, okay.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah, all I know is matza balls.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah, it's well yeah, yeah, and those it depends because
- 2:15Speaker 1: you're maazas. They have to be in season, uh to
- 2:18Speaker 1: have matsa balls because male matzas. Uh what they is,
- 2:24Speaker 1: what they do is uh, they reach puberty at the
- 2:28Speaker 1: right time and you have to grab them exactly the
- 2:30Speaker 1: right time.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Good morning, everybody.
- 2:32Speaker 5: The balls are made from crushed up matza.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That's correct. The balls are made from a pulverized matza.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yes, got it.
- 2:39Speaker 5: It's like a yeah, like a meatball, but without me.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Exactly, a meatball without meat. That's correct. It's a Mansa
- 2:46Speaker 1: ball without meat. Anyways, made for Matsa. They're really really good.
- 2:50Speaker 1: There's huge dumplings, is what they are. You know, about
- 2:53Speaker 1: the size of a softball. Except my mother's Matsa balls,
- 2:56Speaker 1: which were the size of a small meatball, and you
- 3:01Speaker 1: could use them in large bore weapons. They were so
- 3:06Speaker 1: dense and thick. They were like depleted lead. It was
- 3:09Speaker 1: pretty impressive.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Michelle is here through Wednesday, right, I am okay, so
- 3:16Speaker 1: Michelle filling in for Anne. Michelle is back. Michelle and I.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You won't even think about it. She sends me stuff.
- 3:23Speaker 1: She knows exactly the way I do this show. It's
- 3:26Speaker 1: like falling off a horse, you know, it's like riding
- 3:29Speaker 1: a bicycle. It doesn't matter how long ago. It's muscle memory.
- 3:32Speaker 1: You come right back in and you do it all right, Amy. Oh,
- 3:36Speaker 1: of course Amy's worriing Disneyland Garb again.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Of course it's Christmas.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Oh, this is a good week to go to Disneyland,
- 3:45Speaker 1: especially with their kayak ride is going to do very well.
- 3:49Speaker 2: What else they don't They don't have the boat thing?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Do they through the boat thing?
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, like a little boat ride. They used to have
- 3:56Speaker 1: that boat ride through about forty years. Yeah, it's about right. Yeah,
- 4:01Speaker 1: that's true. It's been a while since I've been to Disneyland.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Will Coles Riber, good morning, Good morning, sir. And a
- 4:07Speaker 1: little boat ride that goes through It's a small world though.
- 4:11Speaker 3: He's sort of by the little jet boats though.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah. They rode around the Matterhorn and they were right.
- 4:18Speaker 1: They road and it's sort of the same place where
- 4:20Speaker 1: the submarine fleet was. Do they still have the submarines
- 4:24Speaker 1: or those who have gone?
- 4:25Speaker 3: They have the submarine ride, but now it's the Finding
- 4:27Speaker 3: Nemo ride.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I feel better, Okay, it's very cute. Yeah, no, it
- 4:32Speaker 2: is cute.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It's definitely cute with the I really love the Mermaids
- 4:37Speaker 1: where you could see the strings the ropes that what
- 4:40Speaker 1: are you talking about?
- 4:41Speaker 3: There were no ropes. Those were real mermaids. What's wrong
- 4:44Speaker 3: with you? Bill?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Exactly?
- 4:48Speaker 1: And then there's Cono who is here so and Neil
- 4:52Speaker 1: is not it's it's a holiday week, and Michelle puts
- 4:55Speaker 1: together these schedules. So who's doing what Michelle on the
- 4:59Speaker 1: morning show over the next well, here you're here.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Through Wednesday, and then Thursday will be Jesus will be on,
- 5:07Speaker 5: and then Friday it's going to be a best of
- 5:09Speaker 5: bill handle, which we haven't done in a long time.
- 5:12Speaker 5: And then all next week is Neil.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Yeah for you because you are off.
- 5:16Speaker 2: So Jesus does he comes in started with Easter.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I know, Will you may have not heard this story,
- 5:22Speaker 1: you know how the Jesus story actually came into being
- 5:24Speaker 1: the Jesus Show. All right, So one Easter I asked
- 5:31Speaker 1: the man who hosts the Jesus Show. I got to
- 5:33Speaker 1: keep on with a straight face, saying this, okay, the
- 5:36Speaker 1: quote producer of the Jesus Show, and it was Easter,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and he happens to be a sort of a biblical scholar.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I mean, he really knows his stuff backwards and forwards.
- 5:45Speaker 1: So I asked him, I said, listen, it's Easter. Why
- 5:48Speaker 1: don't you come on the show and do it straight,
- 5:51Speaker 1: not blasphemous in any way, as if I am interviewing
- 5:56Speaker 1: Jesus for real.
- 5:58Speaker 2: And he said okay. So we got on the show.
- 6:01Speaker 1: He had no idea, and my first question is, let
- 6:04Speaker 1: me ask you, Jesus, did you ever masturbate? And that
- 6:09Speaker 1: was the first question, right out of the right out
- 6:13Speaker 1: of the day, of course, and he was wonderful. He said, well,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I'm both the man and the son of God.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I go, so the man part of masturbated, huh.
- 6:21Speaker 1: And he just kept on saying no, I'm both God
- 6:26Speaker 1: and man.
- 6:26Speaker 2: That was kind of neat.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And then out of that came the Jesus Show, because
- 6:30Speaker 1: we did it Easter, and then we did it Christmas,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and out of that came to Jesus Show, and then
- 6:36Speaker 1: out of that fill in for Easter and for and
- 6:41Speaker 1: for Christmas. And the show is syndicated now it's hurt
- 6:44Speaker 1: in a lot of stations around the country, so it's
- 6:47Speaker 1: done very well. All right, guys, let's do it. It
- 6:50Speaker 1: is Did I say hello to you, Cono? I think
- 6:52Speaker 1: I did right?
- 6:52Speaker 3: No?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Okay, See how south important you are in life? Okay?
- 6:56Speaker 2: And Cono, good morning? Hey Bill?
- 6:58Speaker 1: Hey there you go. All right, guys, guys, to do it.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It is time for handle on the news. On the
- 7:04Speaker 1: December twenty two lead story.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Oh Man we're looking at it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You know the old saying, what comes down always comes down.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I defer to you.
- 7:17Speaker 3: We heard that old thing.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Oh what the hell, Well, it comes down, always comes down.
- 7:23Speaker 1: All right, it's close, Amy. I defer to you on
- 7:26Speaker 1: the weather on this one. I always do.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It's going to rain, yeah, thank you, and that's it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: It's going to be wet.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 2: So explain what's going on, because this is going to
- 7:33Speaker 2: be a huge one, isn't it.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 3: They're calling it an atmospheric rivery. You know, if you've
- 7:37Speaker 3: been paying attention at all, Seattle got hit with it
- 7:40Speaker 3: a couple of weeks ago, Portland got it. It's moving
- 7:42Speaker 3: out in northern California is getting hammered, and it's headed
- 7:45Speaker 3: our direction. And we could see rain by as early
- 7:49Speaker 3: as tomorrow afternoon, and then it's going to get heavier
- 7:53Speaker 3: tomorrow night, and then the heavy, heavy rain Christmas Eve
- 7:58Speaker 3: and then rain continuing on Christmas Day. But I think
- 8:00Speaker 3: the heaviest is late Tuesday and into Wednesday. And they're saying,
- 8:04Speaker 3: especially because of the downpours, that that's going to really
- 8:08Speaker 3: increase the risk of mudslides and debrief flows and that
- 8:10Speaker 3: kind of stuff, especially in the burn areas foothills.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Okay, so the heaviest is going to be right around Christmas,
- 8:16Speaker 1: is what you're saying.
- 8:19Speaker 3: The heaviest will fall on Christmas Eve, Christmas, then it's
- 8:22Speaker 3: expected to continue on Christmas Day.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yeah, for those of you that are religious, Merry Christmas. Okay,
- 8:29Speaker 2: Moving on.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Target oil tanker again, the US Coast Guard is going
- 8:35Speaker 3: after another oil tanker in international waters near Venezuela. This
- 8:39Speaker 3: is the third one in less than two weeks. An
- 8:43Speaker 3: official says the tanker is under sanctions and it hasn't
- 8:48Speaker 3: been boarded so far, at least from our last report,
- 8:51Speaker 3: but they were going after it.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah. And this is and sanctions against Venezuela have been
- 8:57Speaker 1: going on for a very long time. And Trump is
- 9:01Speaker 1: the only president that is and I'll say it right
- 9:03Speaker 1: out has the balls to go. Okay, it's under sanctions,
- 9:07Speaker 1: and we're not going to let the.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Let this oil be sold. It is sold under the table.
- 9:13Speaker 1: It is not allowed to be sold, certainly not on
- 9:15Speaker 1: the international market, and payment cannot be made through the
- 9:20Speaker 1: international market. There is an organization called Swift and it's
- 9:23Speaker 1: actually a imagine a clearing house for banks. Well, this
- 9:27Speaker 1: is a clearinghouse that governments and major oil companies pay
- 9:32Speaker 1: each other for oil through this Swift clearinghouse. They're not
- 9:37Speaker 1: in Swift. Venezuela is out of Swift. Iran is out
- 9:41Speaker 1: of Swift, and so everything is under the table, which
- 9:45Speaker 1: is difficult to put a tanker under the table because
- 9:47Speaker 1: they're very big.
- 9:49Speaker 3: All right, Well, power is back on in the city
- 9:51Speaker 3: by the Bay fire at an electrical substation knocked out
- 9:56Speaker 3: power to more than one hundred and thirty thousand people yesterday,
- 10:00Speaker 3: including shopping districts, Golden Gate Park, small areas of downtown.
- 10:05Speaker 3: The first outages were reported around one o'clock on Saturday.
- 10:10Speaker 3: The lack of power snarled traffic around the affected areas.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Traffic signals, of course, were dark. Power has been restored
- 10:17Speaker 3: to about one hundred and ten thousand of the PG
- 10:19Speaker 3: and E customers, but that leaves still twenty one thousand
- 10:22Speaker 3: left in the dark.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And I saw some news some video of waymo cars,
- 10:30Speaker 1: which San Francisco is one of the premier places, and
- 10:33Speaker 1: they were simply stuck at intersections, blocking.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Everything because they don't know what to do. When the
- 10:38Speaker 3: powers had, yes, you would think that they would have
- 10:43Speaker 3: the auto like.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Defult their battery right and they would go off and
- 10:47Speaker 1: pull over to the right. And the other thing I
- 10:48Speaker 1: have a question about is how was bart affected. You know,
- 10:52Speaker 1: if there's no power and you're underground and you're in
- 10:56Speaker 1: the subway, that's fun. Where everything goes complet the dark.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I'm assuming there's backup power for that too, at least
- 11:02Speaker 1: to get you to the next station. But that is
- 11:06Speaker 1: power outages are absolutely no fun. And they thought this
- 11:10Speaker 1: may have been terrorism. You remember when the story first broke,
- 11:13Speaker 1: you immediately go, this is what we default to. The
- 11:16Speaker 1: first question, is this terrorism? And that never used to happen,
- 11:22Speaker 1: certainly prior to nine to eleven.
- 11:24Speaker 3: We used to just say, is it a squirrel? Yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 3: And a lot of times it was.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, Well the Cascades. Remember the Cascade in New York
- 11:32Speaker 1: where the entire Eastern Seaboard went down. This was in
- 11:37Speaker 1: the seventies, and I mean the whole seaboard went black.
- 11:40Speaker 2: And that was for a couple of days.
- 11:41Speaker 1: It was it was a rat eating chewing on one
- 11:45Speaker 1: wire someplace, and then the cast skating happened.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Not quite there yet. House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries said
- 11:53Speaker 3: that the partial release of the files tied to Jeffrey
- 11:59Speaker 3: Epstein just doesn't cut it. He says. Congress has acted decisively,
- 12:03Speaker 3: Bipartisan majorities in both the House and Senate signed a
- 12:07Speaker 3: bill into law. The President signed it. And it does appear,
- 12:11Speaker 3: of course, that this initial document release is inadequate.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Of course it was.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I'd been saying that, actually they did better than I
- 12:19Speaker 1: thought I were think I thought they were going to
- 12:20Speaker 1: release any of it, because Pam BONDI was going to announce, quote,
- 12:26Speaker 1: we are now investigating various individuals who are seen in
- 12:31Speaker 1: the in those photographs, of course, all being all Democrats
- 12:35Speaker 1: they were investigating.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I'll do more about this.
- 12:38Speaker 3: At seven o'clock, Trump taken out than put back in.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Speaking of the Epstein files, the Justice Department said it
- 12:47Speaker 3: had restored a picture that had been removed from the
- 12:50Speaker 3: public release of the investigative files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
- 12:55Speaker 3: That's after they looked at it and said, okay, it's fine,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and put the photo back up, saying it posed no
- 13:02Speaker 3: risk of public exposure to victims of Jeffrey Epstein. The
- 13:07Speaker 3: Justice Department apparently said the image had been flagged by
- 13:10Speaker 3: federal prosecutors in New York for potentially exposing Epstein victims.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, this is going to be a lot of problems
- 13:17Speaker 1: for the Trump administration this one. Keeping in mind that
- 13:22Speaker 1: releasing those files was a major part of the campaign
- 13:27Speaker 1: when Donald Trump ran for president.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Release the files, Release the files.
- 13:32Speaker 1: The Democrats were the Republicans were screaming, release the files.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And all of a sudden it goes the other way.
- 13:39Speaker 1: We're we have some problems with them, we have to redact,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and it's a potatic Democrats and the Republicans on both
- 13:46Speaker 1: sides are getting really upset with this. Why because this
- 13:49Speaker 1: deals with predators and minors and sexual assaults. You know,
- 13:57Speaker 1: that's where that line that goes beyond poulics. And it's
- 14:02Speaker 1: going to be very interesting as to what happened. So
- 14:04Speaker 1: that's both seven A and seven twenty this morning, I'm
- 14:07Speaker 1: going to talk about this and Pam Bondy is up
- 14:10Speaker 1: to her eyeballs.
- 14:11Speaker 2: In this thing.
- 14:13Speaker 3: A rose parade controversy. Okay, So the Sierra Madre Rose
- 14:17Speaker 3: Float Association has a float. It features three firefighters gathered
- 14:23Speaker 3: around a giant stack of pancakes and they're pouring syrup
- 14:26Speaker 3: over the top of the pancakes with a fire hose.
- 14:30Speaker 3: One firefighter jokes that he needs more syrup. Sounds innocuous enough,
- 14:36Speaker 3: but it's got people riled up. And do you know
- 14:40Speaker 3: why did you see the picture of it?
- 14:42Speaker 2: I did.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm looking at it and it seems fairly benign to
- 14:45Speaker 1: me because it's lighthearted.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I don't find it offensive.
- 14:50Speaker 1: It is they're saying, because the people that have a
- 14:54Speaker 1: real problem with it is when you look at the
- 14:58Speaker 1: recent fires, when you see the heroism of the firefighters,
- 15:03Speaker 1: we don't want to make fun of firefighters. I don't
- 15:05Speaker 1: think it does well. I'm not offended. Are you offended
- 15:08Speaker 1: by it?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Amy?
- 15:08Speaker 3: I'm not offended by it, but I can see where
- 15:10Speaker 3: you can look at it. If you look at the picture,
- 15:13Speaker 3: it looks like the firefighter who's putting maple syrup on
- 15:16Speaker 3: top of the pancakes. The firefighters run out, right, and
- 15:19Speaker 3: part of the big problem with the fires was running
- 15:22Speaker 3: out of water, and the firefighters didn't have water to
- 15:26Speaker 3: fight the fires.
- 15:27Speaker 1: All right.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah, So people are saying this is really inconsiderate and badrighting.
- 15:31Speaker 1: So, considering that it takes a year to put these together,
- 15:35Speaker 1: they're planned a year in advance, and this happened relatively recently,
- 15:40Speaker 1: certainly in comparison to the timeline of the fires.
- 15:45Speaker 2: What do you do just scrap it completely? I don't
- 15:49Speaker 2: know the answer to that. I mean, it's a.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Cute float and it is a good The float Association
- 15:53Speaker 3: said they didn't mean to offend anybody. They said it
- 15:56Speaker 3: was designed to honor firefighters, celebrate teamwork, that kind of stuff.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I get that, but.
- 16:01Speaker 3: I can see where people will be a little bent up.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, they're being a well, what was it?
- 16:06Speaker 1: The Sierra Madre Rose Flowed Association is being accused of
- 16:10Speaker 1: being tone deaf, and that may be the case, but
- 16:13Speaker 1: I think there's a timeline.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Here, all right.
- 16:15Speaker 3: I think everybody just wants to be offended, that's.
- 16:17Speaker 2: All I think. So too, you know, let's get offended.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Okay, I bet this is going to offend you. Bill.
- 16:25Speaker 3: A segment has been pulled from sixty minutes. People are
- 16:28Speaker 3: threatening to quit, says staffer. CBS News shelve the segment
- 16:33Speaker 3: about the Venezuelan man deported by the Trump administration to
- 16:37Speaker 3: that maximum security prison in Al Salvador. The correspondent who
- 16:42Speaker 3: did the story, Sharon Alphonsi, said in an internal memo
- 16:47Speaker 3: that the public will correctly identify this as corporate censorship.
- 16:51Speaker 3: The editor in chief for CBS News is Barry Weiss.
- 16:55Speaker 3: He said the Trump administration didn't respond to their requests
- 17:01Speaker 3: for comment on this. They said, we needed we needed
- 17:05Speaker 3: additional reporting, So we're going to shelve it for now.
- 17:08Speaker 3: But people are saying, hey, they spike the story.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, there's another one, and I'm going to talk about
- 17:12Speaker 1: that later on because there's also histories of what the
- 17:15Speaker 1: Trump administration has done to the media and how the
- 17:19Speaker 1: media is caving across the board on this one, and
- 17:23Speaker 1: we'll be talking about that later on.
- 17:25Speaker 3: US retaliation. The usas the military has carried out a
- 17:29Speaker 3: massive strike against ISIS in Syria in response to that
- 17:34Speaker 3: deadly attack on American forces. Fighter jets, attack helicopters, and
- 17:39Speaker 3: artillery struck more than seventy targets at several locations across
- 17:43Speaker 3: central Syria. According to Sencom, President Trump said, we are
- 17:47Speaker 3: striking very strongly against ISIS strongholds following the December thirteenth
- 17:54Speaker 3: ambush in the city of pal Palmyra, in which two
- 17:58Speaker 3: US soldiers and US civilian interpreter were killed.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You notice that there is no discussion of the word proportional.
- 18:09Speaker 1: That does not exist anymore, because it used to be
- 18:12Speaker 1: where you would have an attack on western target and
- 18:16Speaker 1: the argument would be we should have a proportional response
- 18:21Speaker 1: and therefore about the same level. Well, those days have changed.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Between BB NETANYAHUO and President Trump. There is no proportional
- 18:30Speaker 1: You attack us, and we're going to hit you twice
- 18:32Speaker 1: as hard. And that is a philosophy and a mantra
- 18:36Speaker 1: of President Trump's which I have no problem with under
- 18:40Speaker 1: these circumstances, because we're talking about truly the security of
- 18:44Speaker 1: American forces. And with Israel after the murder, the terrorist
- 18:50Speaker 1: murder of twelve hundred Israel Israelis, there was no proportional
- 18:54Speaker 1: response there. So again this is one of those where
- 18:58Speaker 1: I give the President, and I'm not a big fan
- 19:01Speaker 1: of the president, shocker, shocker, where I give him kudos
- 19:04Speaker 1: on this one. You know, don't screw with us. You know,
- 19:07Speaker 1: this is just not going to happen.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Still, all talk, no action. White House Envoy Steve Whitkoff
- 19:16Speaker 3: says the talks in Miami over the weekend with both
- 19:19Speaker 3: his Russian counterpart and Ukrainian Ukrainian National Security Advisor were
- 19:24Speaker 3: productive and constructive, but there's no clear breakthroughs on ending
- 19:30Speaker 3: the war between Russia and Ukraine. They met during the
- 19:35Speaker 3: weekend after the administration Trump administration proposed a plan to
- 19:39Speaker 3: end the war that Kiev officials and its backers and
- 19:41Speaker 3: the EU said was unworkable because they were supposed to
- 19:44Speaker 3: give up a bunch of territory. Ukraine and Russia still
- 19:47Speaker 3: have not directly spoken. They're going through US officials.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and they're now being told to bring a deck
- 19:54Speaker 1: of cards. You might as well enjoy yourself, p knuckle
- 19:59Speaker 1: while you're having these non discussion discussions. That's not going
- 20:03Speaker 1: to end anytime soon. I mean, it's real simple, and
- 20:07Speaker 1: that is you've got Putin who wants territory, he wants
- 20:12Speaker 1: eastern Ukraine, and Ukraine is saying you're not going to
- 20:16Speaker 1: take a third of our country and did go ahead.
- 20:21Speaker 3: What's in eastern Ukraine that he wants to about? Just
- 20:23Speaker 3: the territory? Is there stuff there?
- 20:24Speaker 1: No? No, there's stuff in eastern Ukraine a bread basket there.
- 20:29Speaker 1: But it's more historical. I mean it does have value.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I mean it's not just a piece of land out there.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But it's more a historical issue because it was part
- 20:40Speaker 1: of Russia at one point and as far as Putin
- 20:43Speaker 1: is concerned.
- 20:44Speaker 2: This is not just arbitrary for him.
- 20:46Speaker 1: He woke up one morning and said, oh, I know,
- 20:48Speaker 1: let's go after Ukraine. This has been a basic tenet
- 20:52Speaker 1: of Putin's belief ever since he's been a public figure.
- 20:57Speaker 2: So is it going to happen anytime soon?
- 21:00Speaker 1: You know how where at some point piece has to
- 21:04Speaker 1: be declared, But who the hell knows.
- 21:06Speaker 2: When you look at peace, what was it.
- 21:09Speaker 1: With the Irish and the Brits. It took seventy years
- 21:13Speaker 1: for that piece to happen. And look how long it
- 21:16Speaker 1: took the accords in Israel to happen with Egypt and
- 21:20Speaker 1: that was what.
- 21:22Speaker 2: You know, thirty years.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Yeah, but they weren't actively fighting, not at that time, no, no,
- 21:30Speaker 4: after this was the last time they had a major,
- 21:33Speaker 4: major fight was nineteen seventy two with the Young Keeper.
- 21:35Speaker 3: War taking out targets inside Russia. A car bomb has
- 21:43Speaker 3: killed a Russian general in Moscow early Monday morning. He
- 21:47Speaker 3: was killed when an explosive device installed under the bottom
- 21:50Speaker 3: of a car was detonated. There is talk that it
- 21:55Speaker 3: was related to the organization of the crime by the
- 21:57Speaker 3: Ukrainian Special Services.
- 22:00Speaker 1: That's what rushes well, that makes sense I mean they're
- 22:04Speaker 1: at war, and to whatever extent you can kill the
- 22:07Speaker 1: other sides on the heads of departments and military and civilians,
- 22:13Speaker 1: you go for it. Israel has a way of taking
- 22:15Speaker 1: out nuclear physicists and sort of killing them all, as
- 22:21Speaker 1: well as commanders of various arm part of the Hamas
- 22:25Speaker 1: armed forces.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Well, fitness is key in the army, but spiritual fitness
- 22:31Speaker 3: not so much. The army is scrapping it's spiritual fitness
- 22:37Speaker 3: got it was used for about five months. The idea
- 22:41Speaker 3: behind it, the army set at the time was to
- 22:42Speaker 3: help soldiers grow in the spiritual domain. A termmant to
- 22:46Speaker 3: cover mental and emotional health. In the same way that
- 22:49Speaker 3: the army pushed troops to grow stronger physically, this would
- 22:51Speaker 3: be used to help them spiritually. But five minutes and
- 22:54Speaker 3: they said, yeah, we're getting rid.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Of this now.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm not certainly I'm not a fan of pete hegxith.
- 23:01Speaker 1: But my question is is during the Trump administration the
- 23:05Speaker 1: first year, how does something like this get even started.
- 23:09Speaker 1: It had to fall through the cracks because spiritual fitness,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I mean, come on, you know, what do you do
- 23:19Speaker 1: run around a tree five times and then hold hands
- 23:21Speaker 1: and singing kombai ya. Okay, there's not much more to say,
- 23:28Speaker 1: is there. No, that's it.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Spiritual fitness, okay, wonderful, fantastic, let's get spiritually fit.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Moving on, Santa Loves Pizza two. Christmas is coming early
- 23:41Speaker 3: for pizza delivery fans in North Pole, Alaska. The local
- 23:46Speaker 3: franchise owner, Brian Dobbs, hosting a series of events this
- 23:49Speaker 3: month to celebrate the grand opening of the new Dominoes
- 23:54Speaker 3: on Santa Claus Lane. Now the first pizza place. They
- 23:57Speaker 3: already have a pizza hut and great Alaska Pizza company.
- 24:01Speaker 2: And that actually is a town right North Pole. That's sweet?
- 24:07Speaker 2: Yeah there.
- 24:08Speaker 1: What is the town in Carolina? Tumor if I remember correctly,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and what do you do about that?
- 24:14Speaker 3: A fun place to live?
- 24:15Speaker 1: It is?
- 24:15Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like boring Oregon, Yeah exactly.
- 24:18Speaker 4: It is, right, Yeah, Okay?
- 24:22Speaker 3: What is that voodoo that you do? In New Orleans
- 24:27Speaker 3: where they've been conducting ice raids, The people of New
- 24:31Speaker 3: Orleans have been pushing back, there's been protests, there's been
- 24:34Speaker 3: protecting fellow members of the community who might be targeted.
- 24:37Speaker 3: And now there are voodoo dolls. A voodoo doll that
- 24:41Speaker 3: looks like an ice agent was found in a tree
- 24:44Speaker 3: in a residential neighborhood. The doll was seen with a
- 24:46Speaker 3: number of pins puncturing it.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Now, I have a question, why would this number one
- 24:54Speaker 1: be a story? And number two even more? I think
- 25:00Speaker 1: a bigger question is why would there only be one
- 25:03Speaker 1: voodoo doll in New Orleans? You think they would find
- 25:08Speaker 1: dozens of these all over town.
- 25:10Speaker 2: By the way, it is a story.
- 25:12Speaker 1: I take that back, because it's just kind of fun,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you know, poking.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Oh, I love that, you right?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Fun?
- 25:17Speaker 2: No.
- 25:17Speaker 1: I once had a voodoo doll sent to the station
- 25:21Speaker 1: for me and I loved it.
- 25:25Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 25:25Speaker 3: And well, I'm wondering. I mean, like, did you keel over?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:30Speaker 4: Did you?
- 25:30Speaker 1: So?
- 25:30Speaker 2: You know what I did. I'll tell you.
- 25:31Speaker 1: What happened is I got obnoxious and rude and over
- 25:36Speaker 1: the top and it just changed my life completely.
- 25:40Speaker 3: You're blaming it all on a voodoo doll.
- 25:42Speaker 2: That's correct. If I were that, I was the sweetest
- 25:45Speaker 2: guy in the world.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Turning Point turns to JD. Vans. Turning Point, USA's
- 25:52Speaker 3: first major events since since Charlie Kirk was assassinated, drew
- 25:57Speaker 3: thirty one thousand people in our zone over the weekend,
- 26:01Speaker 3: and she said, Erica Kirk said, we are going to
- 26:04Speaker 3: get my husband's friend jd Vance elected for forty eight
- 26:08Speaker 3: in the most resounding way possible. So Turning Point USA
- 26:13Speaker 3: is supporting jd Vance in twenty twenty eight.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that is basically is Donald Trump junior, because you
- 26:19Speaker 1: know that jd Vance probably would not have his own
- 26:24Speaker 1: agenda a niche, at least initially. The way he's going
- 26:28Speaker 1: to get MAGA and the Conservatives in this case, even
- 26:31Speaker 1: Turning Point is to run and I think he very
- 26:34Speaker 1: well may be the nominee and he will simply say
- 26:38Speaker 1: I am the new Donald Trump. Now is that going
- 26:41Speaker 1: to help? I don't know, because jd Vance is no
- 26:45Speaker 1: Donald Trump. I don't think anybody could ever be a
- 26:48Speaker 1: Donald Trump. I mean Donald Trump is a unique figure
- 26:52Speaker 1: as a president, never has been one. I don't think
- 26:55Speaker 1: there ever will be something that compares to him. So
- 26:58Speaker 1: now what happens, Well, it's for example, okay, the president
- 27:08Speaker 1: just a couple of weeks ago said that the affordability
- 27:12Speaker 1: issue is a democratic hoax. Now he is the affordability president,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and you've got jd Vance blaming it all on Joe Biden.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Any problems we have is Joe Biden. Joe Biden, Joe Biden.
- 27:28Speaker 2: He keeps on doing that, and the economy doesn't do well.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Where's he going to go? And there is no frontrunner
- 27:35Speaker 1: right now? The Democrats have no front runner. There is.
- 27:37Speaker 1: The last time I think someone actually controlled certainly the
- 27:41Speaker 1: Democratic Party was Barack Obama and he's out of the picture.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And you'll see Donald Trump being out of the picture
- 27:48Speaker 1: in twenty eight. Although I do believe that Donald Trump's
- 27:51Speaker 1: going to be a king maker, there's no question in
- 27:52Speaker 1: my mind that his influence is going to remain big time.
- 27:56Speaker 2: So anyway, j d Vance, is he going to make it?
- 27:58Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Well.
- 27:59Speaker 2: The other thing, and did you ever read his book,
- 28:01Speaker 2: He'll Be Theology?
- 28:02Speaker 3: Yeah, he's good.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It is excellent. It is a very fairy good book.
- 28:07Speaker 3: The movie is really good too.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Uh yeah.
- 28:11Speaker 3: I think he was a darling of Hollywood until he
- 28:14Speaker 3: decided to back Trump.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Uh yeah, Okay, I think we're done. Guys. Okay, this
- 28:19Speaker 2: is KFI AM six forty. You've been listening to the
- 28:22Speaker 2: Bill Handle Show.
