- 8:07Among the The world and its perception.
- 8:09And all these different issues stories will be shared.
- 8:13If anyone out there has any ideas or topics that you would

- 8:25priority and get it going. Let me get Proverbs guy up here
- 8:29and Rosie. Let's see what's going on.
- 8:31Now Proverbs guy. How has your day been and then
- 8:34Rosie? I'll tell you what.
- 8:37Mr. King the good, Lord. Woke me up this morning and I'm
- 8:40sitting here hanging out with my son.
- 8:42So yeah, life is great. That's awesome man.
- 8:47That's awesome. Once you tell people what your
- 8:50YouTube channel is, he's got some great videos over there and
- 8:53he's also got some videos where he admits that I am a beautiful
- 8:56person. It's very hard for some people
- 8:58to say, but he's got the courage for it.
- 9:01Amen. All right, Hallelujah.
- 9:04So my handle is Proverbs guy and I am the host at the Proverbs
- 9:0827:17, YouTube channel. And for some odd reason I am
- 9:13now, one of the co-hosts of the God TV, The radio, I get to
- 9:17Apprentice under what I consider the king of podcast Radio, mr.
- 9:21Brett Kane, and I find that just awesome buddy.
- 9:27Goodness, gracious. I feel so much better about
- 9:29myself. Thank you.
- 9:29Proverbs about you Rosie. Tell us a little bit about your
- 9:32day. Tell us about you.
- 9:37My day was a blessed day. Like Steve said, yeah, the Lord
- 9:41woke me up this morning and I had a very good time with a
- 9:49fellow sister in the Lord. Today I'm getting to bond with
- 9:53her and share stories, so and that's an unusual event
- 9:57considering I live out in the middle of nowhere.
- 10:02And I don't get very many visitors.
- 10:06So interesting. Interesting happen today, it
- 10:10sounds like you got my my issue. I live so far out in the woods
- 10:14with my wife and everything. It's it's they say it's so far
- 10:19into the midst of the forest and Jason Voorhees from Friday, the
- 10:22Thirteenth would get lost, it's rough it's about right?
- 10:28So before we get into the whole divorce, Horse thing.
- 10:30So people can get to know you a little bit.
- 10:32Tell us about how long you been a Christian and how long you
- 10:35believed in God and all this, and any kind of experience you'd
- 10:40like to share and then we'll get into it.
- 10:45Me or Steve I guess. Well Steve been hosting a couple
- 10:50times. I think people are starting to
- 10:51get that idea where he's coming from.
- 10:53So that'd be you Rosie. So me, okay, well, I've been
- 10:58officially regenerative for I want to say about 22, 23 years
- 11:03now when God came into my life, at a, the lowest point.
- 11:12I was in my first marriage. And was looking for grasping at
- 11:21everything to try to keep it together and fix it.
- 11:25It was very abusive physically and psychologically.
- 11:30But through his divine intervention, he put people in
- 11:34my life that led me to him, and I would consider what the
- 11:42experience was, was, absolutely a An intervention, it was super
- 11:46natural in origin was not anything natural of this planet,
- 11:51where he revealed himself to me. And then I realized that I was a
- 11:58dirty fish and then it was time to start cleaning me up if you
- 12:02want to put it in a nutshell. So, hey, and he fixed it, he
- 12:10kind of showed me how the man that I had never.
- 12:14Married was a representation of this same kind of nature as the
- 12:22man. My mother had been married to
- 12:24and her second marriage who was a pedophile and he was also very
- 12:30abusive to her. So in that sense, he broke those
- 12:36chains that bound me and and revealed why I was in that and
- 12:42even though I was trying to To find any way to fix the
- 12:46relationship. Ironically, he was pulling me
- 12:50out of it. So, and I've been being
- 12:56Sanctified in his in his Sovereign Authority and his will
- 13:01in my life ever since then, but I was actually saved at 5 but I
- 13:07didn't know the Lord until till I was about 22 and I'm 47 now.
- 13:15So that's where that math comes in.
- 13:18Well, we got somebody out here named Aiden who is saying and
- 13:22I've talked to a man before he says, I like to eat through
- 13:24music in the intro. Thank you Adidas says, Brett,
- 13:28are you divorced know? I've actually been married for
- 13:31almost 25 years now, but my mother and father, they divorced
- 13:35and it was crushing for my mother like Rosie.
- 13:38My mother went through a lot of a domestic abuse.
- 13:42My father, she also had bipolar manic depression.
- 13:45So she threw is hard back just as hard back as he could and he
- 13:50ended up leaving around the time I was about 13 years old and I
- 13:53remember being extremely challenging because at 13 years
- 13:57old boy or girl is going to Serious developmental.
- 14:02Things are trying to find their identity and sometimes kids tend
- 14:06to blame themselves whenever their parents say Wonder to
- 14:10themselves. Why did this?
- 14:11Happen. Why did this happen?
- 14:13Could have I done something and all that.
- 14:15It's rough, not just for the parents, but for the kids and
- 14:19they can also be devastating for the family and all those kind of
- 14:22issues which were going to talk about.
- 14:25We'll get into some Bible verses in a little bit, but I think
- 14:27that this is a good start with the experience at Rosie shared
- 14:33when Rosie as well as Proverbs, you both have had relationship.
- 14:37Issues is a lot of people out there whether you're a
- 14:41non-believer. Or religious have had issues.
- 14:44Did you know anything about these people that they were
- 14:47going to do this kind of thing to you later on?
- 14:50I mean, was there any like clue or hint that these people might
- 14:54end up being bastards or people who just bring you down?
- 15:02Probably, but the flesh is weak, you know?
- 15:11The and in the enourage unregenerate mind and the
- 15:15naivety of, I think female nature for me and it seems, you
- 15:23know, from what I've observed women who are naive tend to, and
- 15:29especially ones who Of that, that that kind of background
- 15:32that I have tend to gravitate toward broken men and a desire
- 15:37to want to fix them. So even though those signs might
- 15:42be there, I had to learn personally, the hard way, that
- 15:44what you see is what you get Rosie, why do you think it is?
- 15:49That I noticed that there's quite a few men that had this
- 15:52nurturing Behavior about them where they want to get involved
- 15:57with somebody and they feel like it's like putting together a
- 15:59puzzle. They want to fix the broken man
- 16:02that they see some kind of some kind of beauty and all the rough
- 16:07and raggedness or grittiness of the man.
- 16:10Why do you think that is? Why does the woman have that
- 16:12going on? And I'd love to hear Proverbs
- 16:14opinion as well. I can only speak from my
- 16:18personal experience, but that's, that's a really good question.
- 16:23But I think it for me, personally, it speaks to the
- 16:28number one that were created in God's image and and God loves us
- 16:33and therefore we, you know, tend to everyone has value and even
- 16:39the A Broken Man and especially that hearts desire to want to
- 16:43fix what is broken and it could be a psychological residue like
- 16:51a seed or a weed seed chaff, if you will that from one who has
- 16:58been damaged in some way, you know, sexually or physically
- 17:06from childhood. And so there is an empathy.
- 17:10Easy for when you're grown to seek out, men like that in a way
- 17:17to maybe reconcile, what had not been reconciled.
- 17:24And you know, to show someone that they are worth being loved.
- 17:31Perhaps. So make any sense.
- 17:37Yeah. Then say it was logical and I
- 17:40didn't mean it. I appreciate your views on it.
- 17:45Sounds like you put a lot of thought into this and I respect
- 17:48that Proverbs what your views. So I'll tell you what, Brett.
- 17:52This is going to be an awesome panel tonight because I feel
- 17:57like we've got both sides of the coin represented.
- 18:00Whereas Rosie was Unfortunate enough to come across a creep
- 18:06that she married her first go-around.
- 18:09I actually was the creeping in my first marriage so my my
- 18:15ex-wife was actually a wonderful wife, a Biblical wife and a
- 18:20fantastic mother. Unfortunately, I was 22 years
- 18:25old when we got divorced and she left me because I was a
- 18:30struggling addict. I was addicted to pain
- 18:33medication And so she had more than ample reason for leaving
- 18:38me. So yeah, you know, there's
- 18:42always different situations when it comes to divorce.
- 18:47So it's very interesting that tonight on the panel we have
- 18:50Rosie who who was with the creep and then on my side when I was
- 18:55in my 20s I was the creep. Fair enough.
- 19:00Fair enough. Very honest and encouraging of
- 19:02you to put it out there like that for sure.
- 19:05Now Proverbs if you don't mind me asking as well as Rosary.
- 19:09Do you believe that sometimes people fall in love with an idea
- 19:14of what they want someone to be as opposed to who they actually
- 19:18are? It's as though they just imagine
- 19:21what that person could be in there.
- 19:23Hoping not just to fix the person but to a tandem break
- 19:28them down and make them into the man or the woman that they they
- 19:32want for themselves. Yeah.
- 19:37Great question Brett I would say that that probably is the
- 19:42leading factor in the majority of divorces, right?
- 19:46I mean sometimes you marry someone and you know who they
- 19:49are and then they end up changing on you, which was my
- 19:52situation. But a lot of times I think it's
- 19:56more common, that it would be the opposite of that, right?
- 20:00Which is exactly what you just said.
- 20:02You fall in love with the idea of who you think that Person is
- 20:06and then over an extended period of time, you find out for
- 20:09certain that you were absolutely wrong and that the person you
- 20:13fell in love with, never existed in the first place.
- 20:16What would you say Rosie? Wow.
- 20:24Sorry I was gobbling up a piece there that that's I think you
- 20:28kind of hit the nail on the head there.
- 20:31Brett with with your question is there there is the answer there.
- 20:35Your exactly. You know looking at the good
- 20:41nuggets within the person you know kind of breaking them apart
- 20:45and you're like hey if we can take all the extrapolate these
- 20:49good things. And and just wash away the bad.
- 20:55Then you can create this whole person and I absolutely would
- 20:59agree with that. You know, you're seeing
- 21:02something that isn't actually true, but you want it to be
- 21:05true. It's like I'm going to make this
- 21:06person into my personal project, so, and it does not ever go your
- 21:13way, and then my experience. Anyway, absolutely Why do you
- 21:19think it is as well? Mr. Proverbs, and Rosie, another
- 21:25thing that I've noticed in society, it's something that's
- 21:28been around since the dawn of man, but women seem to be
- 21:32attracted to the rubble, the the hard-ass, you know, the Survivor
- 21:37whatever. But they don't seem to like the
- 21:39guy who wears the sweaters and you know is over playing the
- 21:43Xbox or that, you know, the computer kind of thing.
- 21:46Why do you why do you think that that's an issue?
- 21:48Issue. Why is women attracted to that
- 21:51when it may be? That the guy who's what?
- 21:53Someone referred to using a slang word nerdy they don't go
- 21:57for. What's up with that?
- 22:00Yeah, I'll take a crack at this Brett.
- 22:03I actually think it's a really easy question to answer.
- 22:07You know, God designed women to be attracted to masculinity just
- 22:12like he designed men to be attracted to feminine ality and
- 22:17what's funny As a modern culture we're trying to completely wipe
- 22:22out masculinity and we're trying to bring everybody closer to the
- 22:27middle like you said, the sweater vests and the playing
- 22:30video games and masculine traits are almost demonized nowadays.
- 22:36So on those rare occasions, when a woman finds a manly man or
- 22:41like you said, the bad guy, who is usually a lot more masculine,
- 22:46it's almost like finding a unicorn.
- 22:48Corn. And they don't think about okay.
- 22:51Is this a hot stove? I'm about to touch because it's
- 22:55so unique and so once-in-a-lifetime in their eyes
- 22:59to find a unicorn. They just want to rope it in as
- 23:01soon as possible. Fair enough.
- 23:06Fair enough. What about you Rosie?
- 23:07What your thoughts are now? Why the rebel?
- 23:10Why the Rebel Without a clue? Steve brought up a couple of
- 23:18interesting things about that that I hadn't really considered
- 23:21a unicorn but I I would tend to agree with the, you know, the
- 23:30masculinity. But there's a difference between
- 23:34a person being masculine and just a downright masculine
- 23:39Creed. And I think I can only speak for
- 23:44myself again. I mean, this is just experience
- 23:47is that there's an unhealthy. And we're talking about the
- 23:51creep, not masculinity, right? Yeah.
- 23:57Okay I just wanted to clarify before I start to answer that
- 24:00not necessarily just masculine because a man can be a gentleman
- 24:04and also be masculine at the same time.
- 24:06But there's a difference between observing a man and watching how
- 24:11he treats people, how he talks to people how he talks about
- 24:15people and then hearing those things that internally make you
- 24:21almost cringe. But that unhealthy Distortion of
- 24:29wanting to change, excuse me, the wanting to change a man.
- 24:35That that is the curse that is like when you talked about in
- 24:41the beginning, after the fall, that is a curse from the garden.
- 24:46It's like widespread, it's a, it can be applied as a broad brush.
- 24:51You know, your desire will be for your man and in the context,
- 24:57it means to you want to rule over him, you want to dictate.
- 25:03So, you know, with that in mind and then I don't know, it's more
- 25:09nowadays, in my opinion, that relationships, it's more of a
- 25:15unicorn to find a good man. As opposed to the bad men are
- 25:21everywhere, you know, the creeps are everywhere in my experience,
- 25:28the both think that maybe there's the correlation is and
- 25:31this is just a Opinion on this because I've asked my wife about
- 25:35it, I asked her, I said, honey, why did you marry a goon like
- 25:38me? You really want to die of old
- 25:40age long side me. I mean seriously.
- 25:42And she says, well honey, it's not just that you're rough and
- 25:45tough. It's not just that, you're a
- 25:47brute and all that, but you've got a marshmallow heart.
- 25:50And I know that if I ever got into it with the world, you'd be
- 25:54there, you'd stand there and you'd protect me where I
- 25:57couldn't get that from some guy in a sweater is gone, dad, which
- 26:01on the Xbox. You know that's I think that's
- 26:04what it is. A woman's looking for a
- 26:06protector, someone who will be there for her through thick and
- 26:10thin. That could be that's at least
- 26:13what my wife tells me. And I've made the decision that
- 26:15she is always right? And every conversation we have
- 26:21Yeah, that's interesting. Brett and you know I do think
- 26:25that a huge part of being masculine is being that
- 26:28dependable figure and a young woman's life.
- 26:32So I mean I think that makes total sense.
- 26:35Actually we got somebody down here who's asking a question
- 26:40they're wanting to get right into the Bible?
- 26:42They're saying does the Bible say if you are divorced because
- 26:46your spouse left, you can get remarried with know, A violation
- 26:50of God's word and I've got quite a few passages up on the screen
- 26:54that I've been looking into, but I'm going to give Rosie as well
- 26:57as mr. Proverbs their opportunity to
- 27:00respond to these questions first.
- 27:03And remember, I put the link out to the public if there's anybody
- 27:07that has had experiences with relationships, if you've had
- 27:10heart breaks or success. Come on in here and we've,
- 27:14you're awesome magic please. All right, so that's the
- 27:18question. Did you guys?
- 27:19Guys hear what Danny D asked? Yeah.
- 27:22So, do you want to go first Rosie?
- 27:24Or would you like me to take it? Do you have a more formulated
- 27:30opinion? I actually do think I have a
- 27:35pretty good concept of it being raised in a Torah obedient home.
- 27:41I have a really good grasp of Hebrew culture and Hebrew
- 27:45mindset and since the scriptures was written 99.999% from a
- 27:53Hebrew perspective, I think it's very valid and And I think it's
- 27:57valuable in this talk. So the Scripture A?
- 28:01Yeah. So the scripture definitely says
- 28:04that if you are divorced and you remarry, you are committing
- 28:08adultery. That's indisputable.
- 28:11And you know, Jesus even says, like if you if you look upon a
- 28:16married person with lost, then you are also committing
- 28:19adultery. And I think that's where a lot
- 28:23of especially Protestants get hung up on there like, well,
- 28:26Case Closed. That's it.
- 28:28But there are other other scripture verses, for instance,
- 28:32the one, that Kent hovind likes to quote, quite often, where it
- 28:35says, if the unbelieving depart, then you're not in bondage.
- 28:40Well, that's a really odd scripture.
- 28:41Verse if you don't know Hebrew context in Hebrew culture.
- 28:45So here's the situation back in that day and time 9 times out of
- 28:5110. If you were to leave your spouse
- 28:55in divorce them, One of two things would happen from the
- 28:58community, either one you'd be dragged to Town Square and you
- 29:02would be stoned to death. Freeing your spouse to remarry
- 29:06someone who actually cared about them.
- 29:08And the second option would be that the Elders of your local
- 29:13synagogue, your local temple. The Levites would deem you an
- 29:18unbeliever, which would also free you from that bondage.
- 29:23And that's something that Protestants are The ignorant to
- 29:28and not even at fault of their own, but they just don't dig
- 29:32into deeper Biblical history. They don't dig into Hebrew
- 29:37culture because they almost think it's like offensive to
- 29:40Western Christianity, which is absolutely absurd because all it
- 29:45does is clarify and compliment our faith period.
- 29:49You know, I want you to think of this brick, right?
- 29:51You have a young woman, she leaves her father's home, she
- 29:55goes off. Off with her husband.
- 29:57He's supposed to care for her, right?
- 29:59There's not a lot of jobs in this period in history for women
- 30:02to do except be a homemaker and then her husband finds a younger
- 30:08woman and decides he's going to run off with her.
- 30:10Are you telling me that a just God would expect her to beg and
- 30:14be poor for the rest of her life and not have a hedge of
- 30:17protection, a covering of a husband?
- 30:20That's absolutely absurd. In the only way that makes sense
- 30:23is again, if you are 100%. Current to Hebrew customs and
- 30:28culture. I got an interesting biblical
- 30:32question for you and Rosary to go along with what you're
- 30:35saying. Their Proverbs, are you familiar
- 30:37with the character in The Bible by the name of Onan?
- 30:45No, I am not a hand. I might be aware of the story,
- 30:48but do you want to fill us in? Well, this woman was married to
- 30:52this man and she loved him. She cared about him.
- 30:55But unfortunately, nature took over in the man ended up dying
- 31:01and God actually instructed this woman to marry.
- 31:05The brother basically have a relationship with the brother
- 31:09unfortunately, Onan did not. How shall I say?
- 31:12He did not do as God completely set on how to handle it.
- 31:17And things didn't work out too good for own and people can look
- 31:20that up later if you want. But the point is in the
- 31:23scripture own and was actually instructed to have a
- 31:27relationship with this. Well, the brother's wife and
- 31:31stuff. Did you ever hear about that?
- 31:33Yes, no, no. So the story you're talking
- 31:36about is a good one, the the husband died and God.
- 31:41Need to be able to preserve that man's line.
- 31:45So he he wanted the brother to sleep with her and come into her
- 31:51in order to further the deceased husband's line and the living
- 31:57brother did sleep with her. But instead of fulfilling that
- 32:03seed within the woman, he spilled his seed instead making
- 32:07it a wicked act because he didn't fulfill God's will.
- 32:10Is that the one you're talking about.
- 32:11About, that's exactly the one. But the instruction is still
- 32:16there showing that God actually did not want this person to
- 32:20spend the rest of their life alone.
- 32:22I noticed that there's a lot of Christians, especially on the
- 32:25internet. They're wondering, should I be
- 32:27alone now? Should I not be able to remarry?
- 32:29Should I not be able to have a relationship?
- 32:32And obviously, it's terrible. If you're going to live for up
- 32:34to 80 to 100 years on this Earth, a person ought not to be
- 32:39alone and that to me was a clear Passage Regardless fam.
- 32:43Time to move on. It's time to continue to sow
- 32:46seed. Yeah.
- 32:48And just to back up what you're saying, Brett I know that
- 32:52there's probably at least one viewer out there right now who's
- 32:55saying? Well yeah but wait a minute, her
- 32:57husband died, making it legal in God's eyes for her to move on
- 33:03and remarry. So on so forth and that's,
- 33:07that's your mindset. I understand that.
- 33:09However again, you're not Connecting all the dots if you
- 33:13don't go back through Hebrew culture, right?
- 33:15Because, even if that husband just divorced her, either one,
- 33:21the church, the elders will deem the person who left in divorced,
- 33:27in the first place on justifiably that is an
- 33:30unbeliever freeing that ex-spouse or you would be stoned
- 33:35to death and the Town Square for that transgression.
- 33:38So God, never, ever, ever intended for somebody.
- 33:41To just be stuck and you have to cross your fingers and hope that
- 33:45somebody knocks out your ex one day or that they just happen to
- 33:49be stepping under a boulder. It's a very ignorant, a very
- 33:55ignorant, understanding of the Hebrew scriptures, which is
- 33:59exactly what the Old and New Testament is, it's a Hebrew
- 34:02scripture that was adopted by Western culture.
- 34:06You got any thoughts on that Rosie?
- 34:09Are you still gobbling down some dinner over there?
- 34:11No, I'm done. I'm done.
- 34:14No. I, you know, and I lost my
- 34:16connection. So I didn't actually hear
- 34:18Steve's original answer to that but with what I have heard, I
- 34:22fully agree. I don't really have a western
- 34:27culture worldview per se. I do tend to dig toward and try
- 34:34to understand. Not so much the levitical stuff
- 34:39that he is pretty Savvy on. But what did Jesus mean?
- 34:45You know and the there's the one anyone who divorces his wife
- 34:53causes her to commit adultery that is not put on her.
- 35:01That is saying your fault for one.
- 35:05So he is the one, you know, because he made a vow before God
- 35:09promised to take care of this person or vice versa.
- 35:13Women do it to, I can't, you know, it's not just the men and
- 35:19like you said, I don't believe that God intends for everybody
- 35:23to be alone. Some people do choose celibacy
- 35:25afterwards thinking that they can't do it, that they won't be
- 35:28good enough. But, you know, with With God all
- 35:33things are possible, you were talking about old scripture, I
- 35:37vaguely remember that one, but another one that comes to mind
- 35:40is I believe it's Hosea. And I understand that the
- 35:44scripture is a description, a shadow of how the Gentiles are
- 35:49grafted it in. But, you know, he tells Hosea to
- 35:53go and marry a prostitute. Well, she's totally a, you know,
- 35:58fornicator and and continues to accept her back over and over.
- 36:07Am I right? Steve.
- 36:10Yeah, so so she was actually a representation of Israel and
- 36:18right be grafted in Yeah, you're absolutely right Rosie, right?
- 36:23But it still is a legitimate thing that happened so you know
- 36:29God told him to go and marry her.
- 36:32Yeah. And you know there are Parts in
- 36:34the New Testament where like Paul said you know, hey if you
- 36:38can do this walk and be single it would be better for you
- 36:42because you'll have so much more time to spread the gospel,
- 36:45you'll only have one Focus. You won't be worried about
- 36:48worldly matters. Like taking care of.
- 36:50Of a family. You can just travel when God
- 36:52tells you to go, but the scripture also says that it's
- 36:55not good for a man to be alone and that's not one-sided, right?
- 36:59Because God's not sexist were equal heirs in God's Kingdom.
- 37:02So it's not good for a woman to be alone either, especially when
- 37:06a woman, was always designed to have that, that covering of a
- 37:11husband or her biological father over her, like, God doesn't
- 37:16desire to leave people destitute and lonely.
- 37:18That's not the nature of God. People who think that that's the
- 37:21nature of God. It's just a very sad
- 37:24interpretation of scripture and and again we need to go back
- 37:28through with the Hebrew lens and cotton gather more context.
- 37:31Because when you do that, it makes the scripture so much more
- 37:36merciful and loving than some Protestants would make it hmm.
- 37:41Janna, bring up, something a little controversial here.
- 37:45I've been in many many shows where I've listened to people
- 37:48talk about their personal. Experiences.
- 37:50And some of the things we've been through, I've met people
- 37:54where they say, they're a couple, and then what ends up
- 37:56happening, is something bad happens.
- 37:58Down the line or something, sways them away from their
- 38:01faith, and their belief. And then one of the people in
- 38:04the couple ended up becoming either a non-believer or they
- 38:08just they start having doubts for a while there for whatever
- 38:11the issue is. Now here's the interesting
- 38:14thing, some of these folks have told me that their the church is
- 38:18that they used to go to Actually tried to convince their spouses
- 38:22to leave them because they were unevenly yoked.
- 38:25But when I look in the Bible under 1st Corinthians chapter 7
- 38:29verses 13. It says, and if a woman has a
- 38:32husband who is not a Believer and he's willing to live with
- 38:36her, she must not divorce him. Now, obviously, there are
- 38:40circumstances in the Bible and there's even some wording about
- 38:43certificate that you have to give to a woman through a
- 38:45divorce, but I find it interesting that God not only
- 38:49men Actions the Christian Believers but also, make sure
- 38:53that how you should handle it. If you're in a relationship with
- 38:56a non-believer as well, what did you guys just thoughts on that?
- 39:02Well, there's more for support on that verse as well, and I
- 39:07believe it in Proverbs but where God is saying about the
- 39:13unbeliever for the woman or vice versa 22.
- 39:20Stay with them and reflect God's love.
- 39:25So that they could possibly be saved eventually.
- 39:30So, you know, depending on how Peaceable it is.
- 39:36I mean, if the woman is being abused, I would safely.
- 39:40I believe our dear friend. Brian has a brought up the
- 39:46little vehicle laws on that type of thing where God condemns that
- 39:53the the beating which is interesting because I didn't
- 39:56know that and I tried to stay with The person who was like
- 40:01that for me, and God was the one who cut this actually cut my
- 40:06ties and, you know, made me where I could not move for that
- 40:10man to walk out of my life because I was not willing for
- 40:12him to leave so Betsy. Yeah, so okay.
- 40:22So there's two things that we need to look at with scriptures
- 40:25is one God often allows things. That does not please him, right?
- 40:33So in the Old Testament with figures like Abraham or even
- 40:38Jacob, God's intention was always for one man to have one
- 40:42wife yet. We see where these big righteous
- 40:46figures have multiple wives. Well that was never God's
- 40:49intention but is something that God allowed and likewise was
- 40:54with divorce divorce in the Old Testament.
- 40:57Had several reasons why you could Could get divorced and
- 41:01like Rosie. Just stated one reason was
- 41:04adultery. Another reason was, if the man's
- 41:06beating up his wife, God doesn't want a woman being beat like,
- 41:09he's a merciful god. And this is in the Old
- 41:11Testament, but Jesus tells us that the reason Moses allowed
- 41:16that was because of man's heart and heart.
- 41:19So again, this is something that God allowed, but it wasn't
- 41:24something, he desired. Now, if you are a woman and
- 41:28you're in a relationship where your And beat up every day.
- 41:31I just want you to know, like you are free.
- 41:33God does not want you to be beat every day until eventually.
- 41:36He goes too far, and you don't wake up.
- 41:39That's not a sovereign loving. God, anyone who would try to
- 41:43make that argument just, you know, clearly doesn't have the
- 41:47the relationship with a loving God that they would maybe lead
- 41:51others to believe that they did in the Bible, clearly teaches so
- 41:55that were to treat our wives like the Protectors of the home.
- 41:59And Basically love them like we love the church.
- 42:03This kind of representation seems like if you love your wife
- 42:07and everything, you're gonna take care of things, you know,
- 42:10keep the keep the grass cut and building growing and doing good
- 42:14things, not trying to cause harm or destruction, right?
- 42:18And that falls like solely on the husband shoulders, you know,
- 42:22a husband is supposed to love his wife like Christ, loved the
- 42:25church. Well, what does that mean?
- 42:27It's actually unattainable. It is, it is physically
- 42:31spiritually, mentally, and emotionally impossible for a
- 42:35human man. To love his wife.
- 42:36The way Christ loves the church, that bar is always moving.
- 42:39You will never catch up to it. And what that does is it forces
- 42:43the husband to try to be a better husband tomorrow than he
- 42:48was today. It is again, a formula that God
- 42:52uses to ensure that husband's treat their wives kindly because
- 42:57according to scriptures, they are the weaker vessel. and that
- 43:00doesn't mean that they're less of a human, but that's the
- 43:03design of a family that God ordained and he has these
- 43:08default set into marriage to try to protect the wife because he's
- 43:13that merciful and loving and and just one more thought on that.
- 43:17It's a sacrificial self-sacrifice.
- 43:21It's dying to self every day for the sake of your wife.
- 43:25What did he? How did he loved the church?
- 43:28He died for the church. So a man who is willing to and
- 43:37I'm not trying to like, you know, that the woman on the
- 43:39pedestal but he essentially is kind of that way that, you know,
- 43:47to sacrifice your own Pleasures, for the sake of giving her what
- 43:52she needs. Well, that's what love
- 43:58businessman of his sacrifice. Love is giving unto yourself.
- 44:04So I agree with you on the other side of the coin, the other I'm
- 44:07sorry, the other side of the court and to love to honor and
- 44:15love, love your husband as unto the Lord.
- 44:17So there is a balance, go ahead, I'm sorry, right?
- 44:20And I, I feel from my own perspective that the woman and
- 44:24the man, and I know that some people We'll have a different
- 44:27rank of how they put women and men based upon their perspective
- 44:31or how they were raised up or grew up and all that.
- 44:34But I think that if men and women treat each other equally
- 44:37in the household and then the marriage and the reason why I
- 44:40say that there's equality taught in the Bible, which a lot of
- 44:44atheists would disagree. And people out there might say
- 44:46something else about submission, is what did Jesus say.
- 44:50He said that you are no longer two, you become one And what are
- 44:55we supposed to do? We are supposed to do on the
- 44:57others. We want done unto ourselves.
- 44:59We become one unit. Does it make sense?
- 45:01Proverbs that he got something else?
- 45:03No, I mean, not only. Does that make sense?
- 45:05Brett but that's even balanced and verified in Genesis.
- 45:10If you remember, we started in the garden as one God puts Adam
- 45:16to sleep. He forms woman from man's rib,
- 45:19making them to, and then, through marriage and the act of
- 45:24Making love to your spouse and marriage which is how God
- 45:29designed it. You become one again.
- 45:31So it's impossible to be like over someone that you are one
- 45:38with, right? You can't be over yourself.
- 45:41Now a logistical scale. A reasoning like that.
- 45:46Yes, somebody has to be the leader.
- 45:48You know, you can't have two left feet that's just common
- 45:51sense. So God does put the man over the
- 45:54wife in that aspect but it's not a man over a woman as in he's
- 46:01Superior to her. It's a man over the woman as the
- 46:04protector of the home and the pastor of the home.
- 46:08So it's not even you know how we think automatically like okay
- 46:12he's better than the wife know you guys are one but he is your
- 46:16protector. Right where he goes, you go,
- 46:20where she goes, he goes and whatever they benefit they
- 46:23benefit together because they are one.
- 46:26That makes sense to me. So, I got a controversial verse
- 46:29here. This will be controversial for
- 46:31some because we're going to discuss it Matthew 119 because
- 46:36Joseph, her husband was faithful to the law.
- 46:39It stating that. During this time, the law was
- 46:42set in the place and yet did not want to expose her to public.
- 46:47Public Disgrace. He had in mind to divorce her
- 46:50quietly. You guys know who's being talked
- 46:53about here. Yeah, this is Mary Mary.
- 46:58So would you like to explain Proverbs or Rose?
- 47:01Why it is? That Joseph was actually quietly
- 47:05thinking about divorcing their e and what the consequences would
- 47:09have been? Had he done it publicly stoning?
- 47:16Yes, exactly. It was a stoning and if you
- 47:19continue reading on in that passage bread, it actually goes
- 47:22on to explain what's going on it.
- 47:25Because he was a righteous man that he decided to do a quietly
- 47:29to spare her from stoning because he was a righteous man.
- 47:33So you had multiple options at that time.
- 47:36If you were just a sensitive man and you were really upset and
- 47:42you wanted to punish your your wife for that, that adulterous
- 47:47act, which is what it was thought that Mary had been.
- 47:50Because, you know, at that point in time, Joseph didn't believe
- 47:54she was Was pregnant with the Son of God.
- 47:56So he had the option to either have her Stone so he could
- 47:59remarry or he could do what the Old Testament called.
- 48:03Put her away. And that is just a more merciful
- 48:07way of getting rid of her but without the chance of her being
- 48:11deemed an unbeliever, which would Exile her from the
- 48:15community and it also saved her from the possibility of being
- 48:18Stoned by a bunch of angry relatives.
- 48:21So it was like an act of Mercy that Joseph wanted to do that.
- 48:25And I don't know how many times Rose has been in the chat room
- 48:29or whatever, some kind of environment like this but Rose,
- 48:33if you could do me a favor when you're not talked, and can you
- 48:35mute it? Unfortunately, when you have
- 48:37your mic that loud and going like that Proverbs will start to
- 48:41make squeal noises back there. It's called feedback.
- 48:44So if you could, when you're not talking mute the mic please,
- 48:47thank you. If you're wearing headphones,
- 48:49you'll do better. You won't have to mute it as
- 48:52often. Microphone buttons at the
- 48:55bottom, by the way. Yeah, I have been told that
- 48:59before with him, I have earbuds and I did notice the feedback
- 49:04but I didn't know what that, why it was doing that but yes, yes
- 49:07sir. Yeah, it sound is hitting your
- 49:11mic and then rub her baton back you basically causing an
- 49:14infinite Echo System. It's all good, it's all good.
- 49:18I understand, everybody's learning how to do these things.
- 49:20So basically I mean not only Only did we show that Joseph
- 49:26himself you know the not the biological father of Jesus but
- 49:32the guy who was with Mary had options and options that stoning
- 49:37did not have to be the case is where you hear some people say
- 49:40no no, no. That was the only option that
- 49:42could do according to the law. But he was showing that he could
- 49:46even be righteous and still have other Alternatives and options.
- 49:50And as you said, he didn't even know it wasn't until Angels
- 49:54visited him, right? Let him know what was going on,
- 49:56and then things got adjusted and they ended up having a beautiful
- 50:00marriage. Yep.
- 50:04Absolutely. Right.
- 50:06Which I think is awesome because Joseph is a really overlooked
- 50:10character but truthfully he's like the most awesome stepfather
- 50:16in world history in my opinion. And I really don't think that.
- 50:22I really don't think there's enough research and study on
- 50:24Joseph because after a certain period of time, he's just kind
- 50:28of never mentioned again. So people don't really know
- 50:31what's going on but Yeah, Joseph was just a super honorable man.
- 50:38All right, we're here we are starting to come up on animals
- 50:41an hour of doing the show. So I'm going to throw some stuff
- 50:45that's been going out in the world and to get you guys as
- 50:48perspectives and Views. We've done some Bible verses,
- 50:52we'll do some more if you guys want or have questions about
- 50:54that but I wanted to ask Proverbs because I think
- 50:58Proverbs is very passionate about this.
- 51:00I don't know where Rosary stands but it appears as though the
- 51:03very institution of marriage is under attack in our modern day.
- 51:07It appears as though it's been turned into a parody of itself
- 51:11and doesn't have the significance of spiritual value.
- 51:14That it once had, is there a reason for that?
- 51:18You have opinions and theories for this.
- 51:20This is simply what I have noticed.
- 51:24Would you like to go first, this time Rosie.
- 51:32Sure. I mean I think it's the mystery
- 51:40of lawlessness that Jesus speaks of you know, the end of days.
- 51:46It's almost like The courts in the garden has been Amplified.
- 51:55And everything is just increasingly getting darker that
- 52:01marriage in and of itself, I mean was just a couple two
- 52:04three, no, maybe three and a half, four years agos, when the
- 52:09institution of marriage had changed from then and a woman
- 52:12to, you know, same-sex and and and then things have progressed
- 52:19even further. And I just I find it very
- 52:23heartbreaking, I find it. it's very sad, but I'm not surprised
- 52:28because the scriptures reveal, it all to us that these things
- 52:32are going to happen and you know, I'm Like I said, I'm just
- 52:41I'm not surprised, I just I find it very sad because I believe
- 52:45that a strong Foundation of traditional marriage is what is
- 52:53going to set up children to be, successful and stable, you know,
- 53:00mentally spiritually and physically.
- 53:02They're, they're generally more successful.
- 53:04They did. And statistically, they
- 53:06generally make more money then. People who grow up in broken
- 53:12homes and the don't know, the basic skills of taking care of a
- 53:18family, you know, carrying on that kind of a nuclear family in
- 53:24it. So I actually I totally agree
- 53:30with everything that Rosie just said, but I do believe it's
- 53:34actually a two-part thing for one.
- 53:37It's exactly again. What Rosie said, it is the
- 53:41natural deterioration after the fall, that families would start
- 53:47falling apart like that because all of humanity, all of nature
- 53:51is falling apart ever since the garden, but it's actually
- 53:55something else also. That's a lot more Sinister than
- 53:58that. It is Satan's attack on the
- 54:00church, right? The church is made up of
- 54:04families. The body of Christ.
- 54:06So in order to infiltrate and destroy the church, you have to
- 54:11destroy the family unit first and we have seen an assault on
- 54:16the family unit like never before in the history of
- 54:20recorded mankind. So I agree.
- 54:24Totally with Rosie said it is Just a natural part of the
- 54:29deterioration of culture in marriage after the fall.
- 54:32But it is also a very clever orchestrated plan of the enemy
- 54:38of hasta tan. The accuser of the brother to
- 54:41destroy the family unit in order to finally try to destroy
- 54:45Christ's Church. You know, I've been repeatedly
- 54:50nowadays, where people there? They just simply see they'll
- 54:55claim this. X is nothing but a natural
- 54:58process and that there's nothing that Transcendence, there's no
- 55:02love, that's actually involved anymore.
- 55:05And then with these marriages, anybody could roll up in Las
- 55:08Vegas and you know within you know an hour or two a drinking
- 55:13they can convince each other to go do this.
- 55:15I also noticed that a lot of people jump right into it too
- 55:18quickly and they don't get to know each other as people and
- 55:22that happens with a lot of younger folks, as well.
- 55:25They are hormone. These are so hot and going that,
- 55:28they think, man, this is so good.
- 55:30This is what I want to do and they don't even figure out
- 55:33what's happening. It's a lot different when ever
- 55:35you meet somebody that you like and everything and you enjoy,
- 55:39when you're out in public, is a little bit of a honeymoon
- 55:41period. But when you start living with
- 55:43them, when you start existing with them, there's one other
- 55:46thing I bring up and you guys are more than welcome to hit it
- 55:50as well. Now this is going to be weird.
- 55:53I'm going to give you a hypothetical, but let's say
- 55:55Proverbs in the Future, you end up marrying somebody and they
- 55:59this is a real thing in society. Your wife turns around looks at
- 56:03you. One day and says, honey, I just
- 56:06feel like I'm a man. Now, I just feel like that's the
- 56:10deal and that's what we're going with.
- 56:12And the government seems to protect that idea.
- 56:15And this Ideology. Now, what would you do in this
- 56:18predicament? Wow.
- 56:23Brett excellent question, man. And to be honest, you know, part
- 56:29of me wants to default to what can you do?
- 56:32Like if your wife after 10 years of marriage decides that she's
- 56:36suddenly just attracted to the same sex.
- 56:39You know, what can you do? I can offer you a reason for
- 56:44that. It's the deterioration of our
- 56:47culture. It is the The it is the culture
- 56:52trying to make women more masculine.
- 56:55More independent is what they call it and trying to make men
- 56:59more feminine and less masculine.
- 57:02And when that happens, what happens is you really start
- 57:05blurring the lines to where a woman.
- 57:09That's a, your wife works out with at the gym can end up being
- 57:12more masculine than your husband at home, who plays video games,
- 57:16and just wants to play housewife and refuses to work.
- 57:20And it's a very sad situation but honestly that's that's the
- 57:25answer. Like when we take masculinity
- 57:28out of men and we put it into women, it causes confusion which
- 57:34we know is not of God because God is not the author of
- 57:37confusion. The feeling something really
- 57:40unusual about a couple of years ago and stuff, but it's still
- 57:44going on today. There, Proverbs, and Rosie that
- 57:48really bothers me and I'm not really sure how to work it out
- 57:53in my head. But I seen that there was a
- 57:56couple that had been married for many many years even longer than
- 57:59my wife. And I and one day, the husband
- 58:02woke up and said honey, I'm a female and not only am I a woman
- 58:08but I I am six years old and I want to be adopted by people.
- 58:12This is a true story. This is real folks.
- 58:15This person decided to move out of the home they gave up their
- 58:19kids and their wife, so they could be adopted by some
- 58:23strange. People who put this person in a
- 58:25room and allowed them to be a six-year-old.
- 58:28Woman strangely enough for whatever reason, they allowed
- 58:32bikers that come in and out to have relationship with the
- 58:36six-year-old. That was Now 60.
- 58:38That was actually six years old in real life and I don't
- 58:42understand how anybody could deal with it.
- 58:44I don't understand how someone who's married to someone that
- 58:46long and then they just flip on them like that.
- 58:49What are you going to do? How do you handle that?
- 58:54Okay, so for one thing and I know that this is going to come
- 58:58off as callous and I promised everyone who's listening that
- 59:02that's not my heart's intention because my heart goes out for
- 59:05people in these kinds of situations, I don't want to
- 59:09demonize them, but a big part of it is that we are unwilling to
- 59:15address that part of society as a mental illness.
- 59:19And I know the example that you're talking about bread, I've
- 59:22actually heard Of that myself and if that's not a clear-cut
- 59:26case of mental illness. I'm not sure what it is.
- 59:30I mean, this is a 60 plus year old man, who decided one day
- 59:33that he wanted to be a six-year-old, I believe it was a
- 59:37six-year-old girl and not just be a six-year-old girl, but is
- 59:41basically wanting to roleplay pedophilia, you know, to be
- 59:46quote, unquote, molested by older biker men.
- 59:49That is, the clear-cut case of mental illness.
- 59:53But we have a society that we've allowed to get so rampant and
- 59:58out of control. We're no longer allowed to call
- 1:00:01these things. A mental illness.
- 1:00:03We have to call it an accepted part of life, right.
- 1:00:06This is who they are and the more and more we go along with
- 1:00:11the status quo and we refuse to call a mental illness and mental
- 1:00:15illness which would allow for treatment and counseling.
- 1:00:19And we start going along with it and and plan along the roll.
- 1:00:23It's just going to progress and get much worse.
- 1:00:27When we do this political correctness game that people are
- 1:00:30going along with, does it not hurt the person who's mentally
- 1:00:34ill, and the process to basically encourage and endorse
- 1:00:38the behaviors and allow people to violate manipulate and take
- 1:00:42advantage of someone who's in that state.
- 1:00:45I mean, there used to be a time in the last 20 years of me
- 1:00:49existing on this disgusting gross planet.
- 1:00:52Where if a person In problems they could go get therapy.
- 1:00:56Supposedly there was a person that you could go to and talk to
- 1:01:00about issues or forget some kind of psychiatric help.
- 1:01:04And it seems like a lot of people are dealing with weird
- 1:01:07stuff like this with relationships and let's face.
- 1:01:10It, Proverbs marriages are already hard enough.
- 1:01:13We don't need all this extra baggage and craziness to just
- 1:01:18completely bend it to the point that breaks.
- 1:01:21What do you think, Rosie? The answer to your question is.
- 1:01:26Yes, yeah, no. It's it's awful.
- 1:01:31It's it's now, the philosophy is truth is subjective your truth
- 1:01:38and you can be whatever you imagine you can be and it just
- 1:01:45feeds the Flesh of self-indulgence.
- 1:01:49You don't want responsibilities, you don't want to have to take
- 1:01:52Take care of people. Find I can just believe whatever
- 1:01:56I want to self. Indulge you know be the the
- 1:01:59scriptures say that people are going to love pleasure more than
- 1:02:03they're going to love God and God's whole you know, his
- 1:02:10schematic or his drawing is a beautiful plan for for his
- 1:02:17creation and there's a depravity.
- 1:02:22And a delusion that it just seems to me that he is giving
- 1:02:28them over because so many are rejecting the truth.
- 1:02:34And there's I think it's really sad, like what you're saying,
- 1:02:39it's you have to affirm it now. And if you don't, then you're in
- 1:02:45danger of violating or losing your job where and I if I'm not
- 1:02:52mistaken I think a lot of these people there's the there's a
- 1:02:55higher rate of suicide and depression in the Seas.
- 1:03:01They're not even, they're not even friends anymore, you know
- 1:03:07like you can be a dog, you know, children and In classrooms, I
- 1:03:14believe it was California there, you know, they have to affirm a
- 1:03:17child who believes she's a cat, and there's a litter box in the
- 1:03:20classroom. And if you try to tell the
- 1:03:24teacher or somebody tries to tell her that that she's not a
- 1:03:27kitty cat, that she's a human being and she's there to learn
- 1:03:31the teacher can get fired. I mean, what kind of society
- 1:03:36where their brain has literally fallen out of their head?
- 1:03:40You know, I know whenever I was true, Virtually, nobody
- 1:03:43Christianity, Rosary. I had a hard time grasping the
- 1:03:47idea that the world could be so dark and so polluted that one
- 1:03:52day, some Antichrist comes and is able to convince people.
- 1:03:57I guess I underestimated the ignorance and stupidity of
- 1:04:00humanity. How could the people actually
- 1:04:03allow a mark to be taken or, you know, dissing Val, God and do
- 1:04:07all these things. I remember transitioning
- 1:04:09thinking is that even possible for that to happen.
- 1:04:12But now I live in a day and age where I'm being told what I'm
- 1:04:15able to say how I'm supposed to act.
- 1:04:18How am I supposed to behave? How I'm supposed to answer
- 1:04:21phone? Yada, yada yada all the way down
- 1:04:23the line of things that are not only spiritually wrong, but
- 1:04:28scientifically wrong and now it all makes sense.
- 1:04:32I think that you guys might be right about a lot of what you
- 1:04:35said tonight. It's just shocking stuff.
- 1:04:39Shocking cult. Yeah.
- 1:04:42And if I could Add to that. Brett it actually makes perfect
- 1:04:45sense where we're at today, right?
- 1:04:48Because take the institution of marriage.
- 1:04:50The institution of marriage is an institution that was designed
- 1:04:55by God with the boundaries that he set himself which are the
- 1:05:00keys to a successful, happy marriage, right.
- 1:05:03But we are in a society where we deem the laws of God as
- 1:05:07oppressive, we deem that relationship with God and
- 1:05:11obedience to God as a form of slavery.
- 1:05:14So we trick ourselves into thinking that separating
- 1:05:18ourselves as a culture. From God is liberating
- 1:05:22ourselves, but all were really doing is kicking dirt over the
- 1:05:26boundaries that he's set. And once you do that, of course,
- 1:05:30you're going to mess up the institution that he designed,
- 1:05:32because you're trying to live outside of his will for that
- 1:05:35institution, and he set up those boundaries to make that
- 1:05:39institution Thrive. So, when we take Take all of his
- 1:05:43principles away from it. Of course, it's not going to
- 1:05:46succeed and I'm really surprised actually that were not more
- 1:05:51worse off already than we are although just hang on because in
- 1:05:55the blink of an eye will probably be caught up to where,
- 1:05:58you know, we would all think we would be Yeah, I've been asked
- 1:06:02by some folks out there, especially non-believers, they
- 1:06:06throw this up, they say, why is it in America?
- 1:06:09If it's a Christian Nation? Why does it seem like there's so
- 1:06:12many people who are religious, who are falling in the divorce
- 1:06:16and all these issues? I mean, my goodness, in case of
- 1:06:19these people are blind, and they're not seeing what's
- 1:06:21happening. There's a lot of folks who feel
- 1:06:24intimidated and pressured by society, and by their family,
- 1:06:27and their jobs aren't how they have to act.
- 1:06:30Now, they have to behave from what you were saying.
- 1:06:33Proverbs, it seems to me on a philosophical level.
- 1:06:36The more you erase God out of existence in doing, so you're
- 1:06:40erasing parts of yourself and your own rationality and logic
- 1:06:44and the process and the more God Fades away, the more you become
- 1:06:48non-existent Yeah, that now, that's absolutely.
- 1:06:54That's absolutely true Bret. The more we separate ourselves
- 1:07:00from God and His will, and his designs, the worse, it's going
- 1:07:04to get You got something to add Rosie, not a whole lot, he
- 1:07:11really hit the nail on the head with that.
- 1:07:13I was like yeah, that's you. What you're saying?
- 1:07:16Is exactly right. You know, that's all I had.
- 1:07:22Yeah. Powerful.
- 1:07:27So is there anything anyone else would like to add?
- 1:07:30Or anybody have an opinion on this?
- 1:07:32I was listening to you earlier rosary and I agree with Proverbs
- 1:07:36on this. I don't think that any woman or
- 1:07:39man should stay in a relationship where they're being
- 1:07:41abused, not just physically but if you're in a relationship
- 1:07:45where someone is abusing you mentally and spiritually and all
- 1:07:48that and you really feel like it's tearing you down, it's
- 1:07:51breaking your heart and nothing that you say, nothing that
- 1:07:55you've tried. Whether it's some kind of
- 1:07:57marriage counseling or going to your priest or preacher.
- 1:08:00And the case of the non-believer, whatever
- 1:08:03convention you go to or whoever you're talking to, if it's
- 1:08:07simply not working out, I don't believe that God wants you to be
- 1:08:10tormented on Earth and go through.
- 1:08:12Just absolute the discrepancies and pain to make your existence
- 1:08:17unbearable. God represents himself as love.
- 1:08:23And that having a bad marriage and setting in it.
- 1:08:26And basically binding yourself to something that's going to
- 1:08:29harm you. I cannot possibly imagine that
- 1:08:32is what an all-knowing all-loving all-powerful, God
- 1:08:35would do and he anything else you guys want to share?
- 1:08:40Yeah I would just like to to briefly point out.
- 1:08:44So the literal you know, when you ask people like you know
- 1:08:48Christians the definition of sin, they often give you all
- 1:08:52kinds of various Answers of what the definition of sin is, but
- 1:08:55the literal definition of sin is transgression of the law.
- 1:09:00And I'm not trying to say that we're in bondage under the law
- 1:09:03anymore, but those principles still apply.
- 1:09:07If you want to know how to get to the root of what sin is, we
- 1:09:12still have the format. We still have the guidelines of
- 1:09:15what Sin is Sin. Is transgression of God's laws.
- 1:09:19Specifically the laws that Moses gave us And we have to start
- 1:09:26embracing that to understand where we're going wrong.
- 1:09:30That that's for starters. So take Moses, like if you're in
- 1:09:36an abusive relationship, your spouse is abusing.
- 1:09:38You Moses gave guidelines for you to get out of that.
- 1:09:41Now again that's not what God desires all the time but it is
- 1:09:46something that God allowed and if like say, you're married to a
- 1:09:52husband and Husband is addicted to pornography and as a side
- 1:09:56effect of that, he's neglecting you and various marital ways,
- 1:10:01then that's adultery. Ear husband is committing
- 1:10:04adultery. So if he refuses to give up
- 1:10:07pornography and start paying attention to you, you're not in
- 1:10:12bondage to him. If he's going to keep ignoring,
- 1:10:14you like, God does not desire people to be alone inside a
- 1:10:18marriage. God does not desire for someone
- 1:10:20to be abused inside a marriage. You know, that spouse in those
- 1:10:25situations, the the spouse who's in the wrong has already broke
- 1:10:29the vows, they've already set it into motion.
- 1:10:32So, I just want people out there to understand, like you're not
- 1:10:36stuck being beat every day. You're not stuck being neglected
- 1:10:39every day. You know, God designed people
- 1:10:43with these sexual urges, the sexual needs to be fulfilled,
- 1:10:47which is why he gave us spouses, you know, God designed sex and
- 1:10:51he designed sex to be. Fun and enjoyable.
- 1:10:54And it's something that we actually long for all he did is
- 1:10:57set up guidelines for sex. It's supposed to be within the
- 1:11:01institutional marriage but within that institution, he
- 1:11:05wants you to enjoy it. He doesn't want you to be
- 1:11:07neglected of it and even if your and I agree with everything
- 1:11:12proverb set on that, and for people out there who may not be
- 1:11:15Christian, who may be non believers here?
- 1:11:18We refuse to obey God's laws. You got to think about it, like
- 1:11:22this, whenever It comes to pornography while you're
- 1:11:24actually married or even in a relationship or engaged.
- 1:11:28What would you imagine if you were to come home to be with
- 1:11:31your wife? You walked in the room?
- 1:11:33And you see this, she's looking at other men or women or
- 1:11:36whatever the case might be, and she's gratifying herself in some
- 1:11:41way while she knows that she's involved with you.
- 1:11:44The first question that you're going to ask yourself whether
- 1:11:47you're the natural man or a spiritual man or woman.
- 1:11:50Is why is the person doing this for my now?
- 1:11:53Enough. Do I not give this person
- 1:11:56enough? Do I not give them my soul and
- 1:11:58my body and my heart? If I not given them everything
- 1:12:02for this marriage to actually work, why do they need this
- 1:12:05woman on the screen? Why do they need this?
- 1:12:08Am I not pleasing them? It basically, what you're doing
- 1:12:12is you're demoralizing and devaluing your partner.
- 1:12:16Whether you believe in God or not, that's exactly what's going
- 1:12:19to happen. Anybody within a common sense
- 1:12:22but I have to wonder why you would do that, instead of Simply
- 1:12:25go in the other room and be with them.
- 1:12:28Go ahead. Yeah, absolutely Brett.
- 1:12:32And another interesting point that I'd like to just bring up
- 1:12:35while we're on the topic of pornography and I'm not 100%
- 1:12:39sure how the conversation evolved their but pornography is
- 1:12:42absolutely something that affects the body of Christ
- 1:12:45because it's so addictive and so many people are in bondage to
- 1:12:49it. For one, you know, there's two
- 1:12:51aspects of adultery and the scriptures.
- 1:12:54If you are married and you sleep with someone who's not your
- 1:12:57spouse, You have committed adultery and if you're single
- 1:13:02and you sleep with someone else's spells, you've committed
- 1:13:06adultery, I just read a recent article that 30% of porn stars
- 1:13:13are actually married. So, if a man has watched 10
- 1:13:19different pornography, flicks throughout his life, three of
- 1:13:23those flicks, you've watched of a married woman, statistically
- 1:13:28speaking. Aching.
- 1:13:28So not only are you committing adultery against your spouse but
- 1:13:33you're also committing adultery with the woman you're watching
- 1:13:36on your screen. So that's double adultery and
- 1:13:39that again would release someone from bondage, if that's
- 1:13:43something you're struggling with and I'm in no way saying that if
- 1:13:46your spouse is struggling with that, you should just toss in
- 1:13:49the towel and walk away. Like that's not at all.
- 1:13:52What Christ desires he desires for us to have fruitful
- 1:13:56relationships and to work through?
- 1:13:58Bangs. And if you really love your
- 1:14:00spouse, you will give it all the effort.
- 1:14:02You can try praying and fasting. Like there's so many things that
- 1:14:07we can attempt to try to break those patterns, and try to heal
- 1:14:11our marriage. But like if you're with someone
- 1:14:14and ten years down the road they still won't break that habit and
- 1:14:19pay that attention to you. You're not just stuck forever.
- 1:14:23So that's something that you should think about and pray
- 1:14:26about and try to try to let The holy spirit guide you on on
- 1:14:30what's best for your situation and hopefully the outcome with
- 1:14:35letting the holy spirit guide you and being prayerful on it.
- 1:14:38And also fasting is that God will step in with divine
- 1:14:42intervention and miraculously heal your marriage, which, you
- 1:14:46know, it is common, it's just work and faith.
- 1:14:50One of the reasons why we got into the topics of all these
- 1:14:54different things. Folks was, this is some of the
- 1:14:56nature of why marriages and relationships and up falling
- 1:15:00apart. People don't feel like they can
- 1:15:02trust your partner anymore. They don't feel like they have a
- 1:15:05good protector or they feel like the protectors become a predator
- 1:15:09or someone who's harmful or abusive and all that.
- 1:15:13And that's the reason why all this stuff is come around and
- 1:15:16these many different topics that we bring up a lot of this stuff
- 1:15:19is absolutely. Willie devastating to the point
- 1:15:22where not only can a person have a marriage or a relationship but
- 1:15:26they won't even be friends at the end of it all.
- 1:15:28It's that destructive that devastating so that's pretty
- 1:15:33much really all I have to say unless you do have some more you
- 1:15:36want to share, or you have some Bible verses, there was someone
- 1:15:40out here who had asked this question.
- 1:15:42Hebrew are mr. Proverbs that you might be able
- 1:15:45to answer since you had a Hebrew.
- 1:15:46Father, you see it? Yeah, no.
- 1:15:51Any calls divorce? I'm not I'm not familiar with
- 1:15:56maybe if maybe if Luke could offer some more context.
- 1:16:00I could I could offer some interpretation but just off that
- 1:16:05one term. No, I'm unfamiliar with it, I'm

- 1:17:15under her when she went down. I did it.
- 1:17:18I was talking to you. And you and and you were muted.
- 1:17:23Oh, what's up? What were you gonna say Rose?
- 1:17:25I was looking for the question that Steve was going to answer.
- 1:17:30And and that's part of why I didn't see the mute on, in the
- 1:17:34chat. What was the question?
- 1:17:37Oh no, you did, what I've done is.
- 1:17:41Sometimes those are the best ones.
- 1:17:44I'll go ahead and put the question up again for you.
- 1:17:47The question is from Lou, whatever.
- 1:17:49Is the last name is talking about the Hebrew culture.
- 1:17:53Is anybody familiar with and any cause for divorce?
- 1:17:57He's basically wondering what are the causes that you can get
- 1:18:01out of a marriage and go for a divorce.
- 1:18:04If you have to in Hebrew, I would imagine it.
- 1:18:08Would he you're talking about the Old Testament and it would
- 1:18:12be what we've been discussing is that not correct?
- 1:18:16Why? The way the question was framed,
- 1:18:19I feel like They're looking for something very specific, but
- 1:18:22yeah, if they're looking for reasons that you were allowed to
- 1:18:27be divorced in the Hebrew culture and like the times of
- 1:18:31Moses, it would be adultery and it would be abuse.
- 1:18:35But also it goes on beyond that. If a husband was not financially
- 1:18:41caring for his wife if she was having to live in the streets
- 1:18:46and go starving because her husband To be a provider that
- 1:18:51was a third reason for divorce and there were a couple other
- 1:18:54reasons. This is a, this is a reason why
- 1:18:59I like to often Point Christians back to the Old Testament and
- 1:19:06not even to put you like under Old Testament laws but it just
- 1:19:10offers a lot of context which really helps clear up the New
- 1:19:15Testament. You know, the New Testament is a
- 1:19:18compliment and a Fulfillment of the Old Testament.
- 1:19:22And if you've never read or examined, the Old Testament, to
- 1:19:26know what those laws are. You're missing like half of the
- 1:19:30reasoning and purpose of the New Testament.
- 1:19:33It really does help clarify like how to be a Christian what it
- 1:19:37means to be a Christian like it just answer so many questions so
- 1:19:43I would strongly advise everyone.
- 1:19:46You know, even the Old Testament can be intimidating because It's
- 1:19:50very large, it's like think just over two quarters or 2/3 of the
- 1:19:54Bible but even just start off with the Torah.
- 1:19:59The first five books of the Bible, it will answer so many
- 1:20:02questions that Christians struggle with because the New
- 1:20:06Testament can sometimes be a little vague when answering
- 1:20:09these questions and that's because they really just
- 1:20:12reference back to the Old Testament.
- 1:20:15But if you don't have a solid foundation and the Old
- 1:20:18Testament, you are going to be confused when it comes to some
- 1:20:21of the New Testament. So I would I would advise
- 1:20:23everybody to go check out at least the first five books of
- 1:20:26the Bible. Yeah I would I would definitely
- 1:20:30agree with you Steve because Jesus is speaking to a Jewish
- 1:20:39audience most of the time and they already understand the
- 1:20:44Torah. So there is a in context and a
- 1:20:48hermeneutics. That often Jesus is pointing us
- 1:20:53back to understand, especially as Gentiles, who have no context
- 1:21:00and unless we read the Old Testament and understand it.
- 1:21:04I'm Nev definitely not a, you know, a law Thumper.
- 1:21:08And I try not to be a bible thumper, but you know, it pays
- 1:21:13to understand for a four-year relationship with God and how
- 1:21:17your relationship with others is. it pays to understand the
- 1:21:23Hebrew or Jewish mindset in which, Our Savior was the
- 1:21:31cultivated the cultivated plant in which we are grafted into
- 1:21:39Yeah, that was beautifully summed up Rosie.
- 1:21:41And also I think that a lot of a lot of Protestants especially
- 1:21:46our maybe you know, just a little disenchanted with the Old
- 1:21:52Testament because they specifically love the story of
- 1:21:54Jesus and the apostles and I agree.
- 1:21:57I absolutely love the New Testament.
- 1:21:59It's the most beautiful thing ever written, but you would
- 1:22:03really be surprised of how many times Christ is referenced all
- 1:22:08throughout. The entire Old Testament, even
- 1:22:11from the Garden of Eden, when man sends and the ram is taken,
- 1:22:18and God kills the RAM and uses the Skins to cover up the
- 1:22:22nakedness, right? The mark of our sin, that is the
- 1:22:26very first foreshadow in the scriptures of Christ.
- 1:22:30Jesus. And there are so many of those
- 1:22:34four Shadows of Christ. Jesus in the Old Testament, I
- 1:22:38mean, In the entire Old Testament is pointing to Christ.
- 1:22:43And, you know, if you have a very firm solid foundation in
- 1:22:48the New Testament, you'll appreciate the Old Testament
- 1:22:51even more because on almost every single page.
- 1:22:56But at least every chapter and every book you'll see Christ in
- 1:22:59it again and again and again and it will actually blow your mind.
- 1:23:03It's it's, it's it's oh, I opening.
- 1:23:08Yeah. Even Even I don't mean to get
- 1:23:10off topic but the very first word of the Hebrew Bible is
- 1:23:17bereshit. In the beginning, God created
- 1:23:23and within just that first word, there is a prophecy,
- 1:23:31foreshadowing, his crucifixion, and it's called back in
- 1:23:35Revelation, where Jesus says, I am the Alpha and the Omega.
- 1:23:39When, where, if you actually look, you know, and the
- 1:23:43beginning in the end and the Paleo Hebrew word heard it in
- 1:23:50there. It's out.
- 1:23:52It's the Olive and the top of the Paleo Hebrew, The Olive and
- 1:23:59the top of create, what you said.
- 1:24:02The ram is the shape of a Rams Head And across and you put
- 1:24:09those together and it is the ram that was sacrificed.
- 1:24:16That's yeah. Word in the Hebrew Bible in the
- 1:24:20original paleo-hebrew context. Yeah.
- 1:24:23And there are so many of those connections like in the New
- 1:24:27Testament when Jesus says I am and they all run to pick up
- 1:24:32rocks because they want to Stone him.
- 1:24:34That's because he's literally declaring that.
- 1:24:36He is God because all the people who are being addressed and
- 1:24:41talked about in the New Testament, like Rosie mentioned
- 1:24:44earlier, these are Jews. In Hebrews, they have a solid
- 1:24:47foundation in the Torah and the prophets and the writings, the
- 1:24:51Old Testament and they're well aware that when Moses asks, God,
- 1:24:58who should I tell them that you are?
- 1:25:00Like, they're going to want to know your name.
- 1:25:02God he says tell them. I am in the Jews knew this this
- 1:25:07was not a New Concept to them. This was not hidden knowledge,
- 1:25:10it was very well-known knowledge.
- 1:25:12I am so when Jesus did Glared well, I am he was letting them
- 1:25:18know because he knew that they already understood who I am is
- 1:25:22he was telling them. I am God.
- 1:25:25Yeah, he's saying I am the one that Moses spoke to folks were
- 1:25:31getting, like, way way off topic and where I want to, I want to
- 1:25:35put it out there again and remind people that if folks want
- 1:25:38to give us some suggestions and topics to cover in the Bible as
- 1:25:44well as spiritual. From all that, that would be
- 1:25:47great. I'd like you to in a little bit
- 1:25:49to be able to plug your channels where people can find you all
- 1:25:53that kind of stuff. And for anybody that may want to
- 1:25:56know, since we didn't get any actual professional marriage
- 1:25:59counselors in here, some people might ask.
- 1:26:02Well Brett, what do you think? The solution is for a successful
- 1:26:05marriage? Was least at least for me and my
- 1:26:08wife we got to know each other for a couple of years before we
- 1:26:12actually decide to tie the knot. We One thing that you'll know if
- 1:26:17the love is going to work, is does that person know everything
- 1:26:21about you do they know your darkest Secrets?
- 1:26:23Do they know the things that basically tickle you and make
- 1:26:28you happy and what it is? That your buttons are does this
- 1:26:31person work on the same? Wavelength with you?
- 1:26:35Do you do you think that you can actually if you can be a friend
- 1:26:39with them then you could also you ever heard that song by
- 1:26:42Michael Bolton? How can we be lovers?
- 1:26:45If we can't be friends, you sure to mean.
- 1:26:48So get to know the person really good.
- 1:26:50Don't just jump into it because of sexual desires or because
- 1:26:54they seem interesting at the moment.
- 1:26:56Really, really find out the dirt on the person that you're with
- 1:27:02before you completely commit to that because you never know a
- 1:27:05couple years down the line. They might decide they're six
- 1:27:08years old and want to have relationship with bikers.
- 1:27:11And you don't want that. Any last things you want to plug
- 1:27:14your channels, and Then we'll end it.
- 1:27:15So I'll just add really briefly before doing my my amazing plug
- 1:27:22is that I would strongly advise you to not marry.
- 1:27:26Someone unless they are your best friend because that's going
- 1:27:30to make your marriage so much more.
- 1:27:32Not only successful, but enjoyable to spend every day on
- 1:27:37a very intimate level with someone who is your best friend.
- 1:27:41And I am Proverbs guy with the proverbs. 717 YouTube channel.
- 1:27:47Go check out my interviews with people like Mary Nell Wyatt.
- 1:27:50Lee who has the widowed wife of Ron Wyatt.
- 1:27:54And also by the grace of God, I was blessed to be the co-host of
- 1:28:00God TV radio and I get to learn and participate in this thing
- 1:28:05with who I consider to be the absolute end, all king of
- 1:28:11podcast radios. So thank you so much, Brett for
- 1:28:14having Hidden sin, me and giving me that shot.
- 1:28:17I really appreciate it and I can't.
- 1:28:20Thank God enough for letting me learn under Someone Like You.
- 1:28:24Well, thank you for thinking thinking.
- 1:28:27Well okay little Rosie. What do you got for us?
- 1:28:30Wrap it up. My advice would be to number one
- 1:28:38seek for someone who is a strong believer in the faith and seek
- 1:28:46guidance through the scriptures and through the holy spirit.
- 1:28:52Because if there's someone out there for you, God already knows
- 1:28:55ahead of time who it's going to be.
- 1:29:01That's it I mean that's how I My husband got together.
- 1:29:06And 16 years. Strong.
- 1:29:08This past December.
