- 0:38Speaker 1: Running, rugby, hockey, boxing bowls, Folks and Half Marathon and
- 0:45Speaker 1: if I can't squeeze it all in, I'll be back
- 0:48Speaker 1: on Saturday morning between ten and eleven covering for eighty
- 0:52Speaker 1: doorks Disease, one of the organizers of the Folks in
- 0:55Speaker 1: Scarba Festival which has taking place this weekend. And I've
- 1:08Speaker 1: got some news on our radio. Focus On's very own
- 1:11Speaker 1: Eighties night out at the Three Hills and I'm going
- 1:15Speaker 1: to tell you about that after this one of my
- 1:17Speaker 1: favorite tracks of the eighties, and we'll be having to
- 1:21Speaker 1: chat about the eighties just after this song. This is
- 1:23Speaker 1: how Ad Jones from nineteen eighty four. I'd like to
- 1:27Speaker 1: get to know you were great track from the eighties. There,
- 1:51Speaker 1: Howard Jones would like to get to know you well.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So here we go now on Saturday, the twenty sixth
- 1:58Speaker 1: of October, between Halpus seven and half Pus eleven down
- 2:01Speaker 1: at the Three Hills, there's eighties and nineties nights and
- 2:05Speaker 1: all the best music from that era. And that's brought
- 2:07Speaker 1: to you by Paul Reynolds from the eighties reboot show
- 2:10Speaker 1: that he does on a Friday.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Excuse me.
- 2:13Speaker 1: We've also got live music from the fabulous Karen, Marie
- 2:16Speaker 1: Bruff and Crimson Medici.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Now tickets are ten pound each.
- 2:20Speaker 1: There's eighteen plus you've got to be and they're available
- 2:23Speaker 1: if you email Paul. Easy one to remember this Paul
- 2:27Speaker 1: Reynolds nineteen seventy three at gmail dot com. Drop him
- 2:31Speaker 1: the line and he can respond to that and they
- 2:34Speaker 1: get the tickets to you. But that is the radio
- 2:36Speaker 1: focused On's very own a show on the twenty sixth
- 2:41Speaker 1: of October. Okay, well, I suppose we should do a
- 2:44Speaker 1: bit of sport now as this is the sports show,
- 2:46Speaker 1: but we like to keep you in the know as
- 2:49Speaker 1: to what's going on from the radio station. Well, we
- 2:52Speaker 1: start a cricket as last Saturday it was the final
- 2:55Speaker 1: games of the season for all our local clubs. Folks
- 2:58Speaker 1: from First eleven traveled away to harm looking for a
- 3:00Speaker 1: win to confirm them as champions. As second place at
- 3:04Speaker 1: Bromley Common were hot on their heels. A win would
- 3:07Speaker 1: mean eighteen points, but the weather took a turn and
- 3:10Speaker 1: the game was abandoned, so both clubs received just nine points.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Bromley Commons game wasn't affected by the rain and they
- 3:17Speaker 1: narrowly beat Bexley by five runs. And although they gained
- 3:21Speaker 1: eighteen points, it wasn't enough and Folks and go up
- 3:24Speaker 1: as champions, winning the league by just five points. Now
- 3:29Speaker 1: this takes them into the championship at the Kent Cricket League,
- 3:31Speaker 1: which is not quite the top tier. The top tier
- 3:34Speaker 1: is the Premier Division, so just one more to go,
- 3:37Speaker 1: so we're down to everyone at the club and oh,
- 3:40Speaker 1: by the way, sadly the two clubs relegated were sid
- 3:43Speaker 1: Cup and Old Wilsonians, moving.
- 3:46Speaker 2: On to Hawkins now Well.
- 3:47Speaker 1: After an up and down season, they finished fourth in
- 3:50Speaker 1: the Division eighth Shepherd Section with a twenty seven run
- 3:53Speaker 1: victory over Margate Minster from the Earl of Sheppey finished top,
- 3:58Speaker 1: with Canterbury third team and Child's second team being relegated.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Down at the Grove Hive Cricket Club beat Willsborough by
- 4:06Speaker 1: seventy seven runs in Division nine Shepherd Section, finishing top
- 4:10Speaker 1: of the table by a comfortable forty one points and
- 4:13Speaker 1: go up as champions. Well, it wasn't all doo mcgloom
- 4:16Speaker 1: for Willsboro as they finished second and were also promoted
- 4:20Speaker 1: Unfortunately Folks do on thirt eleven and Worth Cricket Club
- 4:24Speaker 1: with the teams that were relegated. Iive Green Cricket Club
- 4:28Speaker 1: ended their season beating Eduton by four wickets and finished
- 4:32Speaker 1: third in the same league as neighbors Hive, but they
- 4:34Speaker 1: just missed out on promotion. Saltward's final game on paper
- 4:38Speaker 1: looked like an ordinary end of season boring match we
- 4:41Speaker 1: have nothing to play for. That was against Nelson Cricket
- 4:44Speaker 1: Club in Margate, which exactly what it did kind of
- 4:47Speaker 1: look like. However, it turned out into a thriller. Nelson
- 4:51Speaker 1: put Saltwood into bat and made one hundred and thirty
- 4:53Speaker 1: five all out in thirty one overs. Nelson then took
- 4:58Speaker 1: to the crease but only managed one hundred thirty four
- 5:01Speaker 1: for eight, so salt Would won the game right at
- 5:04Speaker 1: the death by just one run. So that ended their
- 5:07Speaker 1: campaign in seventh place and finally, Sipton Park's last game
- 5:11Speaker 1: in Division five of the Hurricane Section saw them beating
- 5:14Speaker 1: away at Bapchild by eighty nine runs, also finishing seventh
- 5:18Speaker 1: in their table. Raynham were the club that were promoted
- 5:22Speaker 1: and the two teams that went down were Remote Cricket
- 5:24Speaker 1: Club and Ashford Town.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So the blue excuse me.
- 5:28Speaker 1: The local leagues are all finished and the two notable
- 5:32Speaker 1: successes are Folks on first eleven and Hive Cricket Club
- 5:36Speaker 1: both being promoted. But most of all our other clubs
- 5:39Speaker 1: had a steady old season. They haven't been relegated except
- 5:42Speaker 1: for Folks than thirty eleven. So let's roll on to
- 5:45Speaker 1: next season. Now, tilging a cricket I've been. I watched
- 5:51Speaker 1: nearly all back to back Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams
- 5:55Speaker 1: on tour. Now I think I'll talk about this a
- 5:57Speaker 1: little bit more on Saturday when I'm standing in for
- 6:01Speaker 1: Adie Dowks as he's a bit busy elsewhere. Well, what
- 6:04Speaker 1: a program it was. You couldn't help but just follow
- 6:07Speaker 1: it right to the end and see how it was
- 6:09Speaker 1: going to pound out local lads from a non cricket
- 6:11Speaker 1: in Preston picked out and turned into a team that
- 6:15Speaker 1: behavior issues. Freddie had his accident, Oh dear, it was
- 6:19Speaker 1: just you know, there was attitudes and lie sleepings and
- 6:23Speaker 1: oh then they toured India.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Oh, it was just so intense. It was non stop viewing.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Anyway, I think we'll have a little bit more of
- 6:31Speaker 1: a chat about that in debt from Saturday. Okay, so
- 6:35Speaker 1: coming up now, there's time for a little less conversation
- 6:37Speaker 1: with Elvis Presley, Mustang Sally there, Mustang Sally and their commitments.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Right time for some local football updates, sir, now Well,
- 7:04Speaker 1: folks in Victor haven't made the start they'd hoped for
- 7:07Speaker 1: and lost at home to Billy Ricky by three goals
- 7:09Speaker 1: to nil, but once again ending up with just ten
- 7:12Speaker 1: men on the pitch after Tom Derry was sent off.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So due to being knocked out of the FA Cup
- 7:18Speaker 1: in Victor have a week off no game, so their
- 7:20Speaker 1: next game is at home two Hendon on Saturday twenty
- 7:23Speaker 1: first of September. Hipsawn lost two one at home to
- 7:26Speaker 1: three Bridges in the first qualifying round of the FA
- 7:29Speaker 1: Trophy last Saturday. They returned to league action Tuesday, evening
- 7:33Speaker 1: at home, this time to Herne Bay, resulting in an
- 7:37Speaker 1: excellent two to one victory for high goals coming from
- 7:40Speaker 1: Lex Allen and Bruno Tavries with a well placed penalty.
- 7:44Speaker 1: This Saturday there are Way two seven Oaks. Back in
- 7:47Speaker 1: the league, Hawkins Town drew two all away against a
- 7:51Speaker 1: Snodland Town Reserves, once again conceding a late goal to
- 7:55Speaker 1: take home one point instead of a valuable three. Rival's
- 7:59Speaker 1: New Romney Idle Hill for the second successive week. This
- 8:02Speaker 1: time it was a four to one victory in the
- 8:04Speaker 1: Ken Intermediate Challenge Shield fixtures this Saturday see Hawkins without
- 8:09Speaker 1: a game and New Romney are at home to Stansfield. However,
- 8:13Speaker 1: on the twenty first the following week, the two teams
- 8:15Speaker 1: meet in a league fixture, Hawkins having the home advantage.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Garren Wilson's focused on Invictor Disability team returned to action
- 8:24Speaker 1: on Sunday morning in a tournament in Faversham. They played
- 8:28Speaker 1: five games, but goals are very scarce. The Premiership per
- 8:32Speaker 1: side drew neil nil with all of these. They drew
- 8:35Speaker 1: nil nil with Charlton, Maidstone, Gold Southeast Goals and King's Hill,
- 8:40Speaker 1: but unfortunately lost to Chatham by one goal to nil.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Man of all those matches was going to Tyler Johnson
- 8:49Speaker 1: and the other team. The other Invictor Disability team that
- 8:52Speaker 1: play in the Championship also had five games. They had
- 8:55Speaker 1: a marginally better day drawing Neil Neil with Maidstone copper,
- 8:59Speaker 1: Neil Neil with Fabush strikeforce, Neil Neil with Charlton and
- 9:03Speaker 1: the Neil Neil with Southeast goals. But they did have
- 9:05Speaker 1: a one nil victory against swanskembe Connor dre heading home.
- 9:09Speaker 1: The winner man of all those matches goes to Stuart
- 9:12Speaker 1: Law And we try and do our best to keep
- 9:14Speaker 1: you updated with the disability team and all the news
- 9:18Speaker 1: that's coming that way throughout the season. And I think
- 9:21Speaker 1: Adi has got Garrant on his hit list to come
- 9:23Speaker 1: into the studio for a chat one Saturday morning. Now
- 9:27Speaker 1: there's some exciting times ahead for the folks in in Victor,
- 9:30Speaker 1: a women's team who play their football in the Southeast
- 9:33Speaker 1: County's Women's Football League. Last Sunday they played their first
- 9:36Speaker 1: home game at the Alkaline Stadium beat in Merseam Sports
- 9:39Speaker 1: Club for one and listen to this in a crowd
- 9:43Speaker 1: of over three hundred spectators.
- 9:45Speaker 2: How good was that for the ladies.
- 9:47Speaker 1: The goals came from Caitlin Luckett and Hailey Turrell who
- 9:51Speaker 1: scored a hat trick. And I asked myself did they
- 9:54Speaker 1: give her the match ball? You norbably get the match ball,
- 9:56Speaker 1: didn't you if you score a hat trick? Now the
- 9:59Speaker 1: team's next fix is just up the hill against Hawkings
- 10:03Speaker 1: on September the fifteenth in the Kent Women's Plate. Now
- 10:07Speaker 1: looking at the league and where they've got to travel,
- 10:09Speaker 1: this is a kind of a rundown of where their
- 10:12Speaker 1: away games are. First of all, they're playing Hawkings in
- 10:15Speaker 1: the Cup this week, but they are in the same league.
- 10:18Speaker 1: They travel to bay Point, which is bay Point is
- 10:21Speaker 1: a massive sports ground, is kind of fixed just between
- 10:25Speaker 1: Sandwich and Ramsgate. They go to Mersam, they go to Betsanger,
- 10:30Speaker 1: they go to Ramsgate, they go to Lyd and they
- 10:33Speaker 1: go to Sellinge. So lots of news coming out there
- 10:36Speaker 1: of folks in the Victa women's team, and we'll do
- 10:38Speaker 1: our best to keep you up to date with what
- 10:40Speaker 1: goes on down there. Okay, So coming up now, we've
- 10:43Speaker 1: got Jimmy Nile, Ain't no doubt about it. And then
- 10:46Speaker 1: Westlife and the ROAs Week that's a Westlife and the
- 11:11Speaker 1: Rose the Little Gentle Song. Okay, time to switch to
- 11:19Speaker 1: rugby now, folcused in rugby Club's first fifteen we're hoping
- 11:24Speaker 1: to bounce back in their first League game of the
- 11:26Speaker 1: season after their final friendly saw them beaten twenty six
- 11:30Speaker 1: against Dover. This week they did manage to get points
- 11:33Speaker 1: on the board but went down twenty six nineteen to
- 11:35Speaker 1: a Medway Second fifteen This Saturday is their first home
- 11:39Speaker 1: game fixture and that's against Old Allenians. The Second fifteen
- 11:44Speaker 1: start their campaign on Saturday with an away game at Tunbridge, Wales,
- 11:48Speaker 1: and then their first home game is the following week
- 11:51Speaker 1: against Aylesford Bulls. The Thirds also start on Saturday away
- 11:55Speaker 1: at Lordswood. The following week is a home to Faversham Castaways.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Now the women's fifteen start their season on Sunday the
- 12:02Speaker 1: fifteenth away at seven Oaks, then the following week.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Away at Cranbrook.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Now, if you fancy you look around the burnings of Fields,
- 12:09Speaker 1: the Homer Folks and Rugby Club. The under thirteens are
- 12:12Speaker 1: hosting a friends and family day this Sunday, the fifteenth September.
- 12:16Speaker 1: From ten am there will be a bottle raffle and
- 12:19Speaker 1: cake sale and at eleven am there'll be the annual
- 12:22Speaker 1: State of Origin game that will see a Channel MEP
- 12:26Speaker 1: East Maroons take on word It West Blues. Now I
- 12:30Speaker 1: get the impression that these are two firms teams. You know,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I did have to google a little bit and gleam
- 12:36Speaker 1: some information without getting back to the rugby club. But
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think this is a couple of teams, excuse me
- 12:43Speaker 1: going up to the Burnings of Fields for a little
- 12:46Speaker 1: game between themselves. But anyboy, anyway, anyone can go up
- 12:50Speaker 1: there on Saturday as it is an open day under thirteens.
- 12:55Speaker 1: If you've got a child under that fits that age category, parents,
- 12:59Speaker 1: please take you children up there if they are interested
- 13:02Speaker 1: in playing rugby. And I didn't pick up that. I
- 13:05Speaker 1: know it's terrible this and it is a carol concert
- 13:09Speaker 1: talking about Christmas. There's going to be a carol concert
- 13:13Speaker 1: up to the Burnings Fields. I've only just picked up
- 13:16Speaker 1: on the details. But as I'm back on air on Saturday,
- 13:19Speaker 1: i'll tell you all about it then.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:21Speaker 1: In the meantime from the two thousand and one, we
- 13:24Speaker 1: got some Stereophonics Handbags and glad Rags, So.
- 13:48Speaker 2: That was Jonnicker Lopez aimed. Funny.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Now, the song before that was Handbags and glad Rags
- 13:57Speaker 1: by the Stereophonics, And I just did a little bit
- 14:00Speaker 1: Wikipedia don't normally do this, but I was very curious
- 14:03Speaker 1: because the lead thing does sound a bit like Rod Stewart,
- 14:06Speaker 1: doesn't he. But the Stereophonics I found that were a
- 14:09Speaker 1: Welsh group. But the actual song was written way back
- 14:13Speaker 1: in sixties by a gentleman called Mike Darbo. Now some
- 14:17Speaker 1: of us old mod type people from that era will
- 14:21Speaker 1: recognize that name as he was part of Manfred Man group,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and me and Missus Ferrett and I just a few
- 14:29Speaker 1: months ago saw Manfred Man with Mike Darbo up at
- 14:33Speaker 1: the Leedscliffe Fall and I'll tell you they were absolutely awesome.
- 14:36Speaker 1: But Rod Stewart did record that song, but also it
- 14:41Speaker 1: was originally recorded by Chris Farlow and a group called
- 14:44Speaker 1: the Love Affair way back in the sixties. So but
- 14:47Speaker 1: that is they did a good job there, the Stereophonics,
- 14:50Speaker 1: So fairplace him. Okay, bit of support. Now I suppose
- 14:54Speaker 1: once again moving on to hockey. So now as cricket finishes,
- 14:58Speaker 1: so hockey starts. And last week they started with a
- 15:01Speaker 1: series of friendlies. The men's first to fifth teams all
- 15:05Speaker 1: played the old Williamsonians, some in like a three way
- 15:08Speaker 1: triangular tournament, but something up the whole day there were
- 15:12Speaker 1: seven games played the Optimist one four, lost two and
- 15:16Speaker 1: drew one. They scored the goals four was nineteen and
- 15:20Speaker 1: against was six. The Ladies team they played five games
- 15:24Speaker 1: against teams from Canterbury and Cliftonville. They won two, they
- 15:28Speaker 1: lost two and they drew one. Goals they scored with four,
- 15:31Speaker 1: but the goals against was seven. Now there's another round
- 15:35Speaker 1: of friendlies this weekend. I'll probably tell you about that
- 15:37Speaker 1: on Saturday as well. Then it's down to the series
- 15:40Speaker 1: stuff of the league fixtures. Now switching to boxing. If
- 15:44Speaker 1: you follow a local amateur boxing, there is a day
- 15:47Speaker 1: of competitive boxing at the marsh Academy Station Road in
- 15:50Speaker 1: New Romney on Saturday. On Saturday, there's the way in
- 15:54Speaker 1: between ten and twelve pm. Boxing starts at twelve thirty.
- 15:58Speaker 1: There's over twenty bouts to one tickets a ten pound
- 16:01Speaker 1: for under eighteens and fifteen pound for over eighteens. Please
- 16:06Speaker 1: cash only on the door. There will be two catering
- 16:09Speaker 1: vans on the go. Some brilliant raffle prizes including a
- 16:12Speaker 1: Eurotunnel voucher worth over one hundred pounds. Now this is
- 16:16Speaker 1: all put on by TKO Folkston, who hold their training
- 16:19Speaker 1: sessions at the old Folkston racecourse around the back there.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Now this event also sorry, this event also includes the
- 16:28Speaker 1: first round of the England Development Championships. So for further
- 16:32Speaker 1: information on TKO Folkston, they have got a Facebook page.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Let's just please search for TKO Folkston now. A former
- 16:41Speaker 1: guest of the show, Harrison Harrison threw, I tried to
- 16:44Speaker 1: get him in this week, but everyone's so busy these days.
- 16:46Speaker 2: It was a bit of a tough call.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But I'm hoping to get him in because last time
- 16:51Speaker 1: he came in he told me all about that it
- 16:53Speaker 1: was going on up the club, but he also told
- 16:55Speaker 1: me about a little club that he developed where they
- 16:59Speaker 1: were doing next sizes that helps people with Parkinson's disease.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And I really want to find out a little bit
- 17:05Speaker 1: more about it and follow that one up. So let's
- 17:08Speaker 1: switch back to a bit of music now, and this
- 17:10Speaker 1: is Miley Cyrus and a song called Prisoner, Prisoner, Prisoner Lot,
- 17:16Speaker 1: thank you you.
- 17:17Speaker 2: On my mind, of my mind. Lord, No, that's a
- 17:21Speaker 2: million times.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Million time Miley Cyrus there and prisoner the hell right.
- 17:31Speaker 1: When I had a busy weekend with comparing duties on
- 17:34Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday. Saturday morning, I ventured over to help
- 17:39Speaker 1: celebrate the Dover Park the Dover I never get this right,
- 17:43Speaker 1: Dover Waterfront Park Run's first birthday. I met up with
- 17:47Speaker 1: run director and former guest of the show Amy Stimpson
- 17:50Speaker 1: around seven forty five for a nine o'clock start. Dover
- 17:54Speaker 1: Waterfront Park Run is in a pretty special location actually,
- 17:57Speaker 1: with views of the famous castle. There's cruise ships in
- 18:01Speaker 1: the channel. Ferries were coming and going in the harbor,
- 18:03Speaker 1: and there's a peer that the runners go out to.
- 18:06Speaker 1: It stretches out and the turnaround point must be the
- 18:09Speaker 1: shortest distance across the channel between England and France. One
- 18:13Speaker 1: hundred and sixty eight runners took part with the team
- 18:15Speaker 1: from the Port of Dover giving out souvenir water bottles.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Some of the volunteers made and bought some cakes, which
- 18:22Speaker 1: didn't last long they soon disappeared. The morning started with
- 18:26Speaker 1: Amy giving her run briefing, then into a short warm
- 18:29Speaker 1: up routine with Kirstin Miller taking the lead role and nearly, yes, nearly,
- 18:34Speaker 1: all the runners joining in. That was good to see
- 18:37Speaker 1: and then without further ado, the run was underway, with
- 18:40Speaker 1: myself providing music and a bit of cheeky commentary to
- 18:43Speaker 1: keep a smile on runners' faces. The weather was kind
- 18:46Speaker 1: overcast but no rain. So well done to Amy, all
- 18:50Speaker 1: her fellow run directors, all the volunteers on the day
- 18:53Speaker 1: and throughout the year, all the tourists that come along.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Dovers a really hot spot for tourists.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You know, there was a fan only there that they
- 19:01Speaker 1: all a large family, quite a few of them. They
- 19:03Speaker 1: all did the park run before catching a ferry on
- 19:06Speaker 1: their way home to Portugal. Well, the track chosen by
- 19:09Speaker 1: Kirsten was brilliant track because it kind of summed up
- 19:12Speaker 1: the day and it was this was the track and
- 19:15Speaker 1: it was a bit of a celebration with Cool and
- 19:18Speaker 1: the Gang.
- 19:19Speaker 2: They didn't focus them, they didn't focus. The radio focused them.
- 19:56Speaker 2: That was Cool and the Gang and celebration.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And that was the song that Kirston Miller got most
- 20:02Speaker 1: of the runners, This was a good percentage of got
- 20:05Speaker 1: most of them warming up to the Dover Waterfront Park
- 20:11Speaker 1: run on their first birthday. So happy birthday Amy and
- 20:14Speaker 1: the team. Okay, let's see we can get this one
- 20:16Speaker 1: in now on Sunday morning, Now, that saw an early
- 20:20Speaker 1: start for myself and missus Ferrett as we headed off
- 20:22Speaker 1: to Rye as I was EMC for the day at
- 20:25Speaker 1: the Rye thirty K and fifteen K Ancient Trails. The
- 20:29Speaker 1: run saw over four hundred runners packed into a Rye
- 20:33Speaker 1: high street as they listened to a jolly town crier
- 20:36Speaker 1: from a balcony above, giving us.
- 20:38Speaker 2: A few oh yeays, oh yeas.
- 20:41Speaker 1: And then he told us a bit of ancient history
- 20:43Speaker 1: of the people who had trod the ancient trails in
- 20:45Speaker 1: years gone by. Then he started his race with the phrase,
- 20:49Speaker 1: when you.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Hear my bell, run like hell.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And now they predicted awful weather never showed up until
- 20:55Speaker 1: this is typical. All the runners have gone home. We
- 20:58Speaker 1: were packing up and the heavens opened. So with the
- 21:02Speaker 1: runner snaked out of rise and narrow streets and onto
- 21:05Speaker 1: the trails where they had made the choice already to
- 21:07Speaker 1: run either fifteen or thirty k. Rachel Woods, a nice
- 21:11Speaker 1: work team of volunteers and marshalls had praised heaped upon
- 21:15Speaker 1: them from the runners as it was a long day,
- 21:18Speaker 1: starting early, the final runners coming in after five and
- 21:21Speaker 1: a half hours. The chosen charity was the Oliver Kurd Trust,
- 21:25Speaker 1: who help families who are affected by childhood cancer. So
- 21:28Speaker 1: all in all it is a pretty good day. And
- 21:31Speaker 1: it was also nice to see many of my running buddies.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Especially the moment I enjoyed most of all was certain
- 21:38Speaker 1: members of the Folks and Running and Athletics Club doing
- 21:41Speaker 1: the MCA.
- 21:43Speaker 2: That was great fun.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Okay, so we are cracking on a bit now, so
- 21:48Speaker 1: let's have a little check. I've left a few things out,
- 21:51Speaker 1: not on purpose, but if you can get yourself down
- 21:54Speaker 1: to the bursting there's a big Scarboro festival on this
- 21:57Speaker 1: weekend and they've got stuff going on tonight, Friday, Saturday
- 22:01Speaker 1: and Sunday and you'd be a bit scarbured out afterwards,
- 22:04Speaker 1: but get down there. My colleague Ady Dawks is one
- 22:07Speaker 1: of the organizers, so he can't do his show on Saturday,
- 22:10Speaker 1: so I'm stepping in for him. So just go to
- 22:14Speaker 1: the Folks in Scarborough facebook page and find out all
- 22:17Speaker 1: about that. Right, So we're going to finish off with
- 22:19Speaker 1: a bit of scar music and why not, it's all
- 22:21Speaker 1: linked in with what's going on locally with a bit
- 22:24Speaker 1: of sport.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Eighty does loads of things, you know.
- 22:26Speaker 1: He does Folks in Victor Radio, he does bingo nights
- 22:30Speaker 1: for folcusing in Victor. He is a man of many talents,
- 22:33Speaker 1: so he's gonna have a great weekend. Okay, let's play
- 22:36Speaker 1: out now with the Bob Marley and the Whalers and
- 22:38Speaker 1: I'll see you Saturday, and a Buffalo soldiery
