- 0:00Speaker 1: You're list Saints. Kf I AM six forty.
- 0:03Speaker 2: The bill handles show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Kf I AM six.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Forty bill handle here it is a footy Friday, December fifth.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Some of the big stories we are looking at Russian
- 0:17Speaker 2: President Putin is in India and he is cut a
- 0:22Speaker 2: deal with India selling Russian oil. And one of the
- 0:28Speaker 2: factors involved in force forcing Putin to the table, especially
- 0:32Speaker 2: in the Ukraine War, has to do with limiting his
- 0:37Speaker 2: Russia's ability to sell oil, certainly to the Western world.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Now it has made it very much difficult because Modi,
- 0:45Speaker 2: Prime Minister of India, and Putin the President of Russia
- 0:49Speaker 2: have cut themselves a deal to sell oil.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Mody to buy oil, Russia to sell oil.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Okay, story, a local story has to do with that
- 1:00Speaker 2: movie studio just down the street from US. I mean
- 1:02Speaker 2: Burbank has movie studios like crazy. This is Warner Brothers,
- 1:07Speaker 2: where all of I think turns into Kuenga. Anyway, Netflix
- 1:12Speaker 2: is buying Warner Brothers, a seventy two billion dollar deal
- 1:17Speaker 2: that completely transforms Hollywood. It has agreed to pay seventy
- 1:21Speaker 2: two billion dollars and also agreed to take on more
- 1:26Speaker 2: than ten.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Billion dollars of Warner Brothers debt.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So now we're talking about an eighty two billion dollar
- 1:32Speaker 2: deal and that was announced this morning, and man, what
- 1:37Speaker 2: does it do? I mean, Netflix gets Batman, Harry Potter,
- 1:41Speaker 2: Fred Flintstone's classics like Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Harry Potter and Friends,
- 1:48Speaker 2: Stranger Things which I've never watched, K Pop Demon Hunters,
- 1:52Speaker 2: which I probably will never watch, the Squid Game, which
- 1:56Speaker 2: I like because of so much gratuitous violence. And the
- 2:00Speaker 2: breakthrough actually came last night because the deadline for the
- 2:05Speaker 2: deal and this broke up. This is normal corporate fighting,
- 2:09Speaker 2: but just the numbers are staggering. Okay, a deadline for
- 2:13Speaker 2: the deal closed. And what happened is Netflix, Paramount and
- 2:18Speaker 2: Camco Comcast submitted bids. Paramount owned by Ellison. Larry Ellison
- 2:27Speaker 2: was let's just say that he really wanted to buy
- 2:31Speaker 2: this thing. He is or David Ellison, the son of
- 2:36Speaker 2: Larry Ellison, forty two years old, and he is building
- 2:39Speaker 2: this entertainment juggernaut is being described has two movie studios, HBO,
- 2:45Speaker 2: two dozen cable channels. I mean, it's a big deal,
- 2:48Speaker 2: and he wanted Warner Brothers so he submits the bill
- 2:52Speaker 2: to Warner Brothers and they reject it. Not enough money.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's that the bit is way too low. So in
- 3:01Speaker 2: late October, what does Discovery Warner Brothers Discovery do. It
- 3:05Speaker 2: opens up the auction up to other bidders, and you
- 3:09Speaker 2: had three bidders that were fighting for the Warner Brothers,
- 3:15Speaker 2: all of Warner Brothers. There's a few there's a few
- 3:18Speaker 2: exceptions that they're setting aside. But so you had a
- 3:23Speaker 2: bidding war between Netflix, Paramount, and Comcast. Netflix wins out,
- 3:30Speaker 2: and what happens to Netflix all of a sudden, Let
- 3:34Speaker 2: me tell you how big it gets. Netflix has three
- 3:38Speaker 2: hundred million streaming customers right now. With HBO Max, the
- 3:44Speaker 2: company base goes to four hundred and twenty million subscribers,
- 3:49Speaker 2: seven million people in the world.
- 3:50Speaker 1: It's a lot of people.
- 3:52Speaker 2: It's much greater than any of the other premium video
- 3:55Speaker 2: on demand streaming services. And so who's upset with this, Well,
- 4:00Speaker 2: not only Paramount, but you've got the movie theater owners
- 4:04Speaker 2: that are a little upset because netfeet afflicts releases movies
- 4:09Speaker 2: to its streaming platform early and it bypasses in some
- 4:12Speaker 2: cases the theater chains.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And of course the theater change.
- 4:18Speaker 2: One of the trade groups, Cinema United, represents owners of
- 4:21Speaker 2: fifty thousand screens. This is what the president said. This
- 4:27Speaker 2: is the president of Cinema United. The negative impact of
- 4:30Speaker 2: this acquisition will impact theaters from the biggest circuits to
- 4:34Speaker 2: one screen independence. Effectively, it's going to wipe out independent
- 4:38Speaker 2: movie studios. The Director's Guild of America fighting it because
- 4:44Speaker 2: this combination, this purchase raises significant concerns. A vibrant competitive industry,
- 4:51Speaker 2: one that fosters creativity, encourages genuine competition for talent is
- 4:57Speaker 2: essential in safeguarding the careers and creative rights of directors.
- 5:01Speaker 1: According to the DGA, here's the bottom line.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And I go back to when I was I actually
- 5:08Speaker 2: was an usher in a movie theater in Van Eyes
- 5:10Speaker 2: when I was growing up in the valley and as
- 5:12Speaker 2: a teenager, one of the jobs I had was a
- 5:14Speaker 2: movie theater. Matter of fact, it was the Van Eyes Theater,
- 5:17Speaker 2: which I think now is a Hispanic theater. Every time
- 5:19Speaker 2: I pass it, it's the same movie they pay over
- 5:22Speaker 2: and over again, which I don't understand. Oi or HOI.
- 5:28Speaker 2: They just keep on playing HOI, which I just don't get.
- 5:32Speaker 2: How do they get people in for years at a time.
- 5:35Speaker 2: In any case, I remember when cable first came out
- 5:41Speaker 2: and on a table in the lobby there was a
- 5:45Speaker 2: sign and it showed a fictional sort of an animated
- 5:50Speaker 2: dragon with huge claws grabbing the movie screens and saying,
- 5:56Speaker 2: sign our petition because cable was going to wipe out movies,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and now streaming services are going to wipe out movies. Well,
- 6:06Speaker 2: the reality is that technology moves ahead. It just moves ahead.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Podcast is affecting AM radio radio like crazy television is
- 6:18Speaker 2: affected by streaming, by TikTok by YouTube. Things change, and
- 6:25Speaker 2: so Netflix has now become the major player in the
- 6:30Speaker 2: world of streaming by a long shot. And so I
- 6:34Speaker 2: wonder if we're going to see the Netflix sign on
- 6:36Speaker 2: the Warner Brothers lot. You know they have you go
- 6:39Speaker 2: down the street and there's all the sound stages and
- 6:41Speaker 2: the big sign across the sound stage as Warner Brothers.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I wonder if I's gonna say Netflix. Don't know the
- 6:48Speaker 2: answer to that. Okay, this is another episode of huh
- 6:53Speaker 2: how does that work?
- 6:54Speaker 1: All right?
- 6:55Speaker 2: The President Pardon x Hundur and President Juan Orlando Hernandez,
- 7:00Speaker 2: who is serving forty five years in federal prison for
- 7:04Speaker 2: cocaine trafficking. And how did he get a pardon? Well,
- 7:09Speaker 2: there was an intense lobbying campaign by some Trump confidence
- 7:15Speaker 2: confident confidance conservative media, Roger Stone, Matt Gates, and Hernandez
- 7:22Speaker 2: always denied the charges. Was convicted of conspiring to ship
- 7:26Speaker 2: four hundred tons of cocaine in the US and taking
- 7:29Speaker 2: millions in bribes. So how did President Trump pardon this guy? Well,
- 7:37Speaker 2: he's a very smart guy, and he built up a
- 7:39Speaker 2: whole series, whole group of advocates on his size, on
- 7:44Speaker 2: his side from Washington Tomorrow Lago, and the announcement absolutely
- 7:50Speaker 2: stunned presidential allies and even members of the administration, including
- 7:56Speaker 2: officials who spent years building the case against it. And
- 8:01Speaker 2: here is what is so extraordinary about this. The Trump
- 8:05Speaker 2: administration is going balls to the wall against narcotics and
- 8:11Speaker 2: those people involved in narcotics. Look at the boats that
- 8:13Speaker 2: are being attacked, Look at the conversations that are having
- 8:16Speaker 2: about invading Venezuela because of the drug issue. While that's
- 8:20Speaker 2: going on simultaneously, a pardon for a guy who was
- 8:24Speaker 2: convicted and sentenced to forty five years in prison. I
- 8:30Speaker 2: you know what's going on? Where is the discrepancy, Well,
- 8:34Speaker 2: it's right there. But here is the here is.
- 8:37Speaker 1: The thinking behind this.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Trump has said that Hernandez was convicted from the by
- 8:44Speaker 2: the deep state because he was convicted during Biden's administration.
- 8:50Speaker 2: The investigation started during Obama the Obama administration. But Hernandez,
- 8:54Speaker 2: who is very right wing and Trump ally, was convicted
- 9:00Speaker 2: because of the deep state. He was convicted of the
- 9:04Speaker 2: prosecutors who hate America, and also because Joe Biden targeted him.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It's it was a decade spent building building the case
- 9:18Speaker 2: against him, and who made the pitch well, as I said,
- 9:23Speaker 2: Republicans in Washington. He attended evangelical events, He pitched himself
- 9:28Speaker 2: as a staunch ally on migration and security, and Trump
- 9:32Speaker 2: praise him for stopping drugs at a level that has
- 9:35Speaker 2: never happened. Instead of him being convicted of accepting brides
- 9:41Speaker 2: and pushing the cocaine industry and four hundred tons, he
- 9:47Speaker 2: actually was fighting that. Okay, wait a second, then, how
- 9:52Speaker 2: do you get convicted? Well, because it's Biden, because it
- 9:55Speaker 2: was the doj under Biden, and it was the deep state,
- 9:59Speaker 2: and it was the unconstitutional and going after him. Because
- 10:02Speaker 2: Trump says, look what happened to me. The DOJ went
- 10:06Speaker 2: after me, and now they're going after him. And he
- 10:11Speaker 2: listens to the last person and talks to him.
- 10:13Speaker 1: And there were.
- 10:14Speaker 2: All kinds of people that were going in favor, that
- 10:18Speaker 2: were screaming in favor of him. So the current president,
- 10:23Speaker 2: Zomara Castro, who is a leftist, that's another problem. So
- 10:30Speaker 2: the talking points prepared by Hernandez said, as I said,
- 10:34Speaker 2: he's the victim of the deep state. He was strime,
- 10:37Speaker 2: strong on crime, and the Castro government is a communist
- 10:42Speaker 2: regime colluding with Venezuelan drug traffickers. And unfortunately, here is
- 10:49Speaker 2: the bottom line. If I've said this over and over again.
- 10:53Speaker 2: If you are an ally of the president, you can
- 10:56Speaker 2: do no wrong. If you you are a perceived enemy,
- 11:01Speaker 2: you can do no right. Letitia James being indicted for
- 11:07Speaker 2: fraud in accused of putting down the wrong address when
- 11:12Speaker 2: applying for a loan, saying I actually lived in one
- 11:15Speaker 2: district when she lived in another.
- 11:17Speaker 1: That's the accusation.
- 11:18Speaker 2: And guess what the grand jury said, there's no evidence here,
- 11:22Speaker 2: there's not enough evidence here. The previous US attorney had
- 11:27Speaker 2: said there's no evidence here or not enough. So Trump
- 11:30Speaker 2: fires the US attorney in Virginia, replaces him with a
- 11:36Speaker 2: woman who's never prosecuted a case in her life, but
- 11:39Speaker 2: was a former who was a former representative, former attorney
- 11:44Speaker 2: attorney for Trump personally. She gets bounced by the court
- 11:48Speaker 2: saying that she had no business being a prosecutor for
- 11:54Speaker 2: technical reasons. And now the grand jury just said no,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and they're going to keep on going. They're going to
- 12:01Speaker 2: keep on going. Hang on a minute. Forty five years
- 12:04Speaker 2: in prison for the president, former president of Honduras for
- 12:09Speaker 2: cocaine distribution, importing of cocaine, four hundred tons, millions of
- 12:15Speaker 2: dollars in bribes. Pardon, Letitia James. You lied on that application,
- 12:22Speaker 2: you put down the wrong address. We're going after you.
- 12:28Speaker 2: It is stunning. It is stunning. And on top of that,
- 12:33Speaker 2: this man who got forty five years in prison, and
- 12:36Speaker 2: there was the evidence, I mean, it was overwhelming. They
- 12:38Speaker 2: built the case over ten years. That's all fake. All
- 12:44Speaker 2: of that is fake. If you're an ally of the president,
- 12:49Speaker 2: you can do no wrong, doesn't matter what you have done.
- 12:54Speaker 2: If you are an enemy, you'll never do what's right.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And we're going to go to the fullest extent of
- 12:59Speaker 2: the law. James call me lied to Congress based on
- 13:04Speaker 2: one witness who said he did one, let's go after him.
- 13:12Speaker 2: It's you know again, you know I get nail for
- 13:15Speaker 2: being anti Trump.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I just have a hard time with this stuff. I
- 13:18Speaker 1: really do.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I mean stuff like this, even those who advocate for
- 13:23Speaker 2: the president.
- 13:24Speaker 1: How do you argue with this? How do you argue?
- 13:27Speaker 2: Maybe you argue that DJ really did go after anybody
- 13:32Speaker 2: who's a Trump ally.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Maybe he did. Maybe the DD is that corrupt?
- 13:39Speaker 2: I I think it's more corrupt today than it's ever been.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Or does the independence of the DJ, which it's known for,
- 13:47Speaker 2: has disappeared?
- 13:48Speaker 1: All right, We're done with that.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Hey, crimes in La County up, up, up, and I'm
- 13:54Speaker 2: going to talk about that. Because you don't want to
- 13:56Speaker 2: be Histamic Hispanic. You don't want to be a Muslim.
- 13:59Speaker 2: You don't want and be a Muslim Jew. Wait a minute,
- 14:03Speaker 2: how can you be a Muslim Jew? Okay, I'll figure
- 14:06Speaker 2: that out during the break. Coming up to the top
- 14:08Speaker 2: of the hour, it is foody Friday with the Neil
- 14:11Speaker 2: and Law and we actually have a story stories that
- 14:16Speaker 2: don't involve Costco this time around.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Oh that's a shocker. And then coming at eight thirty.
- 14:22Speaker 2: It's ask handle anything, the absolute fun fun, let's embarrass
- 14:27Speaker 2: handle segment. All right, hate crimes, this is a real drag.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Hate crimes in La County continue it record levels, but
- 14:36Speaker 2: no surprise. Look at the political atmosphere. I don't remember
- 14:42Speaker 2: hate crimes like this being this serious since nine to eleven,
- 14:51Speaker 2: since the Gulf War, and that was against those of
- 14:55Speaker 2: the Muslim faith, and people were Arabic countries and some
- 15:00Speaker 2: aren't even Arabic. And this time around, entire communities are
- 15:05Speaker 2: being nailed, and so it's no surprise.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So who is being nailed? Who is getting the worst
- 15:13Speaker 1: of it?
- 15:13Speaker 2: Well, first of all, these are not astronomical numbers, but
- 15:17Speaker 2: they're going up every year, except there was a slight
- 15:19Speaker 2: decline last year one percent.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Big deal.
- 15:23Speaker 2: LA County Commission on Human Relations reported thirteen and fifty
- 15:28Speaker 2: five reported cases of hate crimes.
- 15:32Speaker 1: In the county.
- 15:34Speaker 2: The increase, and this is the part that I think
- 15:37Speaker 2: is really troubling. Hate crimes against the Middle Eastern community
- 15:41Speaker 2: increased sevenfold.
- 15:43Speaker 1: That's the largest of any racial category.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Crimes involving language regarding the conflict in the Middle East
- 15:50Speaker 2: accounted for six percent of all the total incidents. So
- 15:53Speaker 2: just screaming to Muslims, get out of here, you're a
- 15:57Speaker 2: bunch of terrorists whatever. That has increased, and most of
- 16:02Speaker 2: those in school setting. And unfortunately what's happening now is
- 16:07Speaker 2: immigrants and transgender people are getting hit pretty badly. Immigrants,
- 16:12Speaker 2: Hispanic people, of course, that's going on with immigration, and
- 16:16Speaker 2: LGBTQ people are getting absolutely nailed. My daughter's roommate is trans.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I'm hoping she allows me to say that. And served
- 16:29Speaker 2: in the US Army, did several tours tours in Iraq
- 16:34Speaker 2: in Afghanistan, specifically six years in the US Army, and
- 16:38Speaker 2: the US Army gave at that time a gender affirming
- 16:43Speaker 2: general affirming medication and medical procedures. She worked at Amazon
- 16:49Speaker 2: for a period of time, which also did well. Amazon
- 16:52Speaker 2: swept through and as you know, just laid off you
- 16:57Speaker 2: hundreds of thousands of people or if not tens of
- 16:59Speaker 2: thous the people so lost there so at least the veterans. Well,
- 17:03Speaker 2: Pete Hegsith, guess what they did. Guess what the what
- 17:08Speaker 2: Pete Headsack and the Defense Department did. There's no such
- 17:11Speaker 2: thing as transgender people anymore. They don't exist either you're
- 17:15Speaker 2: a man or a woman, and it doesn't matter. And
- 17:17Speaker 2: if you're trying to trans then there's something wrong with
- 17:21Speaker 2: you and you really don't even exist. You're either a
- 17:24Speaker 2: man or you are or you are a woman. And
- 17:27Speaker 2: based on that, and the LGBTQ community has always always
- 17:35Speaker 2: been attacked. It became mainstream and I've well, you know
- 17:42Speaker 2: where I sit. I've been in favor of LGBTQ rights
- 17:45Speaker 2: for my entire adult life. Matter of fact, the first
- 17:51Speaker 2: child of a gay couple that I helped through surrogacy
- 17:56Speaker 2: is now forty four years old. That's how long I've
- 18:01Speaker 2: been helping gay people have children. So and I've been
- 18:05Speaker 2: a proponent of gay marriage way before gay marriage. So
- 18:10Speaker 2: I'm proud of myself on that one. Okay, I'm gonna,
- 18:12Speaker 2: you know, pound my chest and go here you go,
- 18:15Speaker 2: look at me. The problem is I'm becoming more and
- 18:18Speaker 2: more of a minority. It's just the thing to do
- 18:21Speaker 2: is to fight LGBTQ people and fight the rights. And
- 18:27Speaker 2: so these hate crimes are going up and up, and
- 18:29Speaker 2: it's just, I mean, it is horrible. By the way,
- 18:33Speaker 2: the religious based hate crimes, which accounted for eighty percent
- 18:37Speaker 2: of the religious based hate crimes.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Who do you think we're targeted.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Jews.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Everybody hates the Jews. Why because they.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Own all of the media, They own all the insurance company,
- 18:55Speaker 2: they all the businesses, and if you ask Marjorie Taylor Green,
- 18:59Speaker 2: they also control the laser beams that come down from
- 19:02Speaker 2: the satellite and light up. Uh are wildfires here in California? Okay,
- 19:09Speaker 2: fair enough. Google every year gives us the top trending
- 19:14Speaker 2: searches this year.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Which one do you think it is? Neil? If you
- 19:19Speaker 1: haven't read the story, who do you think it is?
- 19:22Speaker 3: I have no clue.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Okay, who would you guess?
- 19:25Speaker 3: Trump?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Number one, number one trending story.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Number one trending story. Or person?
- 19:32Speaker 2: Oh? A person can't matter. I think they know it's
- 19:35Speaker 2: top trending searches. So it's a story or person. It's
- 19:39Speaker 2: the searches?
- 19:39Speaker 1: Which one? Yeah?
- 19:40Speaker 3: Google?
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Google released the same These are the top searches. Okay, searches.
- 19:45Speaker 2: And you know if you guys haven't read this, Okay,
- 19:49Speaker 2: Trump Epstein cono feet.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Feet is in your feet?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Not to my feet?
- 19:57Speaker 1: But that's very no, that's very strong. Uh okay, will
- 20:05Speaker 1: get wrong. But searches? Uh is Santa Claus real?
- 20:09Speaker 2: Uh?
- 20:09Speaker 1: Well, boy? Is that moronic?
- 20:13Speaker 2: Gess lois that it was among the dumbest things I
- 20:17Speaker 2: have heard you say on this show, and believe me,

- 20:22Speaker 2: I'll tell you exactly who it is. Charlie Kirk. Charlie
- 20:25Speaker 2: Kirk number one search. Ready for that? Uh?
- 20:30Speaker 1: Then you have K Pop Demon Hunters.
- 20:36Speaker 3: It's a good movie, by the way.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Whatever, Okay, I didn't even know it was a movie.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Then you have a lab Ubus or labou Bus, which
- 20:43Speaker 2: I have no idea what that is.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Lab you Bus?
- 20:49Speaker 2: What hell?
- 20:49Speaker 1: I do I know?
- 20:50Speaker 2: And that's a toy, right, Yeah, that's number thing plus
- 20:56Speaker 2: it's like a little doll. Yeah, but that's number.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Three searches on Google in the United States.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Very popular monsters.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Clearly you want to find them clearly so you can
- 21:06Speaker 2: clip them to your purse or you're okay, help buckle
- 21:09Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:10Speaker 2: The government shutdown is next President Trump's what big beautiful
- 21:18Speaker 2: bill act.
- 21:19Speaker 3: I'm wondering when six seven shows up on this list.
- 21:22Speaker 1: And then trending.
- 21:23Speaker 2: I would share with you what the number one search
- 21:27Speaker 2: that I did this year, But there is no chance
- 21:32Speaker 2: I'm going to share that with you, because I would
- 21:34Speaker 2: like to be here tomorrow doing the Legal Show. If
- 21:38Speaker 2: that's okay, honey, Is Gibbs one p or two?
- 21:44Speaker 1: Yes? I would yes. So those are the numbers.
- 21:50Speaker 2: It's And by the way, the DATEA is taken from
- 21:52Speaker 2: January one through November twenty five, and it compiles the moments, people, topics,
- 21:59Speaker 2: events and places that has captured the world's attention. So
- 22:05Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk number one search trending people. Zo Ron Mandani
- 22:11Speaker 2: or Mandani now is the mayor of New York. Death's
- 22:18Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk, Gene Hackman, Ozzy Osbourne I was number four
