- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, much more Mark. Mark Simone. Now, 9 till noon weekdays.
- 0:06Speaker 1: On 710WOR. Well, let's take some calls. Let's go to
- 0:14Speaker 1: Joe in Hoboken. Joe, how you doing?
- 0:18Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. I am good. Over the weekend, I
- 0:21Speaker 2: was reading about the DSA since 2019 added 250 candidates.
- 0:30Speaker 2: And they're looking to add 40 more in the midterms.
- 0:34Speaker 2: This is concerning. I mean, like, bring me back Al Gore, like,
- 0:39Speaker 2: who only wanted to get rid of a combustion engine.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I mean, that was a wacko then, but he looks
- 0:45Speaker 2: like a Republican compared to these idiots now. Are you
- 0:48Speaker 2: concerned as much as me?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Well, you got to be concerned, but you got to
- 0:53Speaker 1: assume it's just a bad cycle that they're going through.
- 0:56Speaker 1: You got to remember the Democrats after Jimmy Carter went
- 0:59Speaker 1: way to the left and lost every race. And then
- 1:03Speaker 1: Bill Clinton emerged out of nowhere. This unknown governor rose
- 1:08Speaker 1: up and led them back to the center. So everybody
- 1:11Speaker 1: keeps waiting for something like that to happen. 2028 is
- 1:15Speaker 1: still two years away. And you never know, some governor, somebody,
- 1:20Speaker 1: might just a Fetterman maybe, although he'd have to put
- 1:23Speaker 1: on a suit. I don't think he's going to do that,
- 1:25Speaker 1: but somebody might just rise up and lead them back
- 1:27Speaker 1: to the center. They got to lose some elections. If
- 1:30Speaker 1: they lose the midterms, which is very unusual, president two
- 1:34Speaker 1: years in always loses the midterms. If Trump pulls this
- 1:38Speaker 1: off and the Republicans win, Democrats get wiped out. They
- 1:42Speaker 1: might wise up and start getting rid of these crazy
- 1:45Speaker 1: lunatics in their party. Let's go to Cheryl in Farmingdale. Cheryl,
- 1:49Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 1:51Speaker 3: How are you?
- 1:52Speaker 1: Let me check.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Not bad. Thanks. I really enjoy your show every morning.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Well, thank you.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I have a question about the Clancy situation.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Why was he allowed in the basement before the law
- 2:07Speaker 3: enforcement officers got there? They were like waiting outside because
- 2:12Speaker 3: it states in the testimony that the police saw him
- 2:18Speaker 3: down in the basement.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Who? I don't understand that.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Who are we talking about? Patrick Clancy.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Oh, I got to be honest. I don't follow this
- 2:26Speaker 1: too closely. Who's Patrick Clancy?
- 2:29Speaker 3: Lindsay Clancy, the three kids that were murdered.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:34Speaker 3: You were just talking about it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Who's Patrick Clancy?
- 2:37Speaker 2: The husband.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Oh, okay. So the husband was there and he went
- 2:40Speaker 1: down in the basement.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but he went in the basement before the police.
- 2:45Speaker 3: That's not protocol.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Well, I guess he got there first. Yeah. We'll have
- 2:52Speaker 1: the expert on in a minute. We'll ask him, but
- 2:54Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 2:56Speaker 3: My other question is, Lindsay was a nurse.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 3:00Speaker 3: So if she was trying to commit suicide, why didn't
- 3:03Speaker 3: she hit the main vein in her wrist?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Well, there's some people that argue, to get sympathy in
- 3:08Speaker 1: all this, she was so bad, she tried to kill herself.
- 3:11Speaker 1: But a lot of people point out she's a nurse.
- 3:13Speaker 1: She would know which vein, where to hit, and she
- 3:16Speaker 1: didn't do this.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I think it was a fake attempt to kill herself.
- 3:19Speaker 3: My theory... is that he made it look like she
- 3:24Speaker 3: attempted the suicide. He killed the kids, but he didn't
- 3:27Speaker 3: kill her because then he would be the number one
- 3:30Speaker 3: prime suspect.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Oh, that's a brilliant theory. I think you've been watching
- 3:34Speaker 1: too many soap operas here. I don't know.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Don't make fun of me.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Wouldn't somebody brought that up?
- 3:43Speaker 3: But really, I mean, then all of a sudden, four
- 3:46Speaker 3: months after his children are murdered, he moves to New
- 3:49Speaker 3: York City.
- 3:50Speaker 1: He Now, let me ask you a better question, because
- 3:52Speaker 1: I know a lot of people in Long Island, especially
- 3:55Speaker 1: women in Long Island, they become obsessed with this case.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Why did they get so obsessed with this case?
- 4:01Speaker 3: It's not that we're obsessed. It's just that when you
- 4:04Speaker 3: watch the testimony, everything is Patrick said, Patrick said. Even
- 4:09Speaker 3: the detectives, when they put them on the stand, they
- 4:13Speaker 3: couldn't say they were first eyewitnesses. of the powder on
- 4:18Speaker 3: the glass. He said because Patrick said the powder was
- 4:22Speaker 3: by the glass. Nothing came from.
- 4:25Speaker 1: If I hear about this Patrick one more time....
- 4:30Speaker 3: Well, you opened it up.
- 4:31Speaker 2: No, I understand.
- 4:33Speaker 1: But I just don't know that much about the case.
- 4:34Speaker 1: But you know, Howie Carr, nobody knows this case more.
- 4:37Speaker 1: He's been covering this like we're going to talk to
- 4:39Speaker 1: him in a minute. I'm going to ask him all
- 4:41Speaker 1: your questions.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Cheryl, what do you do in Farmingdale?
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'm retired.
- 4:48Speaker 1: No wonder you're still in your pajamas. It's like 1030 already.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Wise guy.
- 4:55Speaker 3: I do have to add that I get upset when
- 4:58Speaker 3: you have guest hosts because your voice is so soothing
- 5:03Speaker 3: and calming to me when I wake up and listen
- 5:05Speaker 3: to you for three hours.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Apparently it's not working because you're sitting there obsessed with
- 5:08Speaker 1: murder trials. You don't sound that calm about this.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I'm not obsessed. You're a little obsessed. You know, everybody
- 5:16Speaker 3: has an opinion.
- 5:18Speaker 1: All right, all right, all right. Well, I got to
- 5:19Speaker 1: take a day off now and then. You don't expect
- 5:21Speaker 1: me to work every day, do you?
- 5:23Speaker 3: Well, what about your listeners? What about your followers?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Well, when you were working, did you ever get vacation days? Yes. Well,
- 5:32Speaker 1: what about your job? What about the people you work with?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Why do you take these vacation days?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah, but I didn't have millions of people listening in
- 5:40Speaker 3: to my daily, you know, Monday through Friday like you do.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I've got to take a day off now.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I'm giving you a compliment.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I know. I thank you. All right. Well, you're a
- 5:47Speaker 1: very good listener. We appreciate you. Thanks for calling, Cheryl.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Take care. Let's go to Rich in New Jersey. Rich,
- 5:55Speaker 1: how are you doing? All right, Mark.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Hey, Mark, if AI is going to kill us, and
- 6:02Speaker 2: it's so smart, why doesn't it tell us when?
- 6:07Speaker 1: Tell us what? Why doesn't it tell us when it's
- 6:11Speaker 1: going to kill? All right, I know. We'll get back
- 6:14Speaker 1: to that story. These people think AI is going to...
- 6:17Speaker 1: You know, there's one way to stop AI. Pull the
- 6:20Speaker 1: plug out. Just shut it off. Hey, when we come back,
- 6:24Speaker 1: Howie Carr knows this Lindsay Clancy stuff better than anybody.
- 6:27Speaker 1: We'll talk to him next.
