Hey, I haven't been on the bike for a while, or at least I haven't videoed from the bike for a while. So here you go. We got a little, little tour of my little town before I. Before I leave it. Got two and a half more months here in my little green bit of paradise. And I gotta tell you, I'm gonna miss it. You know who's really gonna miss it? Pepper.
• 0:20
So why is it that we miss things more when we know we can't have them? Or when we know they're going away?
• 0:32
Can't we enjoy them like that as we have them?
• 0:40
Can we train ourselves to appreciate and to enjoy more what we already have, rather than the longing for what's coming?
• 0:54
I'm Bradley Charbonneau and I'm coming to you live from my bike.
• 1:00
  Hello.
• 1:05
  And this is it.
• 1:06
I am leaving little Dribergen, my little town outside of Utech in the middle of the Netherlands.
• 1:14
  We're moving.
• 1:15
Well, it's a long story, but we're basically moving to Italy. But first we're making a little stop in Utrecht. We're going to stay in Utrecht for a while, sort of get our bearings. Well, partly because we sold our house and we have no place to live. And then we'll make our way to Italy next year.
• 1:30
But all of these changes have produced more changes.
• 1:38
And then what's happening is because things are cracking open, like my heart and my mind and my gut. And we're pushing these changes, we're making these big changes, we're making things happen.
• 1:51
  Then other things are happening.
• 1:54
I was on a call with my beloved friend Schell Honaker. I was standing on the canal outside of in Amsterdam and it just hit me.
• 2:04
And what we were doing and what we wanted to do, and it wasn't the same. And where our heart was and where our passions lie.
• 2:12
  And it came to us.
• 2:15
And it's about people. Surprise, surprise. It's about connection. It's about human connection. It's about real life in person. Human connection. Now, this isn't rocket science and it isn't even new.
• 2:26
But it is going to be what we're doing. And so for the next six to 18 months, I'm looking at summits.
• 2:35
Summit. Summits. How did I just like the word as well? Summit. Like the peak of a mountain. But the summits, as far as organization of people, a conference, a retreat, a workshop, whatever you want to call it.
• 2:48
But whatever it is, it's people coming together.
• 2:52
I am a recent empty nester.
• 2:56
Empty nester. I talked to somebody the other day who didn't know what that was, empty nester means that the little birdies have flown. The cooperation.
• 3:03
My two boys have moved out. One is living in, in the Hague, in the Netherlands. The other one's living in Austin, Texas. And I knew it was going to be a big shock to my system, but it's been a big shock to my system.
• 3:16
And it's been hard, it's been rough.
• 3:20
I'm having a hard time with it and I realize, oh, we got some kids there. They.
• 3:29
So it's been hard, it's been rough and I don't know, there's been a bit of a gap in my life where a role I had as father.
• 3:42
  You are my father.
• 3:44
But it's true. And of course I'm still their father, but they don't live in our house anymore. And it's.
• 3:50
It's been weird. It's been a lot. It's been. I can't say I like it, although I like other elements of it. But it's been rough.
• 3:58
So people connection, humans in person, in Italy, in the Netherlands, maybe even in Austin, Texas.
• 4:07
And this for me is the next phase. It's the next phase of human connection. It's the next phase of a real deeper human connection with smaller groups of people, you know, like 24, that's a good number and not necessarily 2400, although.
• 4:26
Yeah, that has its place too. It's a. It's just a different scene.
• 4:30
So I'm looking for smaller groups in the coming years. And for me, I'm all about health and wellness and self development and growth and habits and all the lovely stuff I do.
• 4:43
And yet I'm open to other ideas. I like being the emcee of events, I like being the moderator, I like being the host.
• 4:50
So I'm happy to host events as well. And I've been doing that quite a bit lately and I just like it. And frankly, I'm usually pretty modest guy, but I'm damn good at it because I've got my improv comedy experience, I've got my stand up experience, I can handle an empty stage, I can handle a brand new audience, right? Not only can I handle it, I thrive on it. I love it.
• 5:11
  So that's what I'm doing.
• 5:14
  What are you doing?
• 5:15
And would you like to join me?
• 5:18
I am looking for speakers for the summits. I'm looking for help, I'm looking for moderators, I'm looking for ideas. What do you want to summit on? What would you go to a summit on.
• 5:31
All right. I'm about to hit the end of my little path here. And I started out with missing things that are going away or missing things that we cannot have or we choose not to have or we choose to think that we cannot have. It's getting complicated. And yet time will tell. Only time will tell. And move along and growth and love, passion and heart and mind and gut.
• 6:01
Getting them to agree on stuff and dealing with it when they don't.
• 6:05
It's a glorious day here in the Netherlands.
• 6:08
And I'm gonna go get on a train and go meet another awesome partner and friend.
• 6:13
And guess what? We're gonna work on summits. One thing we're working on is the worst summit ever.
• 6:19
I think you can go to repossible.comsummit to find out more.
• 6:24
Hear about the summit. Maybe you can apply to be a speaker for that one. I'm looking to do, like, failures. Really? Like experiences that were terrible or bad or hard or whatever. And then learning lessons from them. How do we learn from our failures? All right, I'm leaving the woods. I'm getting into the metropolis of outside. Did I. Barrackin. I wish you a wonderful day and we'll talk soon. Bye for now.
