- 0:00Yeah, so on no do I was saying yesterday, yeah, so we're going
- 0:04to take Clay out even more many. So on 391 and three 92393 inside
- 0:12a shame is talking about one of the big ways of loving Hashem is
- 0:17being happy in his service. So he explained yesterday that
- 0:24the idea of being happy in God's service is the feeling, and this
- 0:29is a major source of joy, and that is a feeling that you're
- 0:32doing something that matters. He said a couple examples #1
- 0:36when it comes to praying, the feeling that you get to talk to
- 0:39God, you get to thank Him, everything goes right and you
- 0:43get to talk to Him before something happens.
- 0:45You know, we think of that as like a, a side element in our
- 0:47life. It's not side.
- 0:49That is your form of going to work.
- 0:51When you talk to us before and after it's over and things go
- 0:54well, that is your form of making money, getting the money
- 0:59in and then thanking God for getting it.
- 1:01It's really directly all him and in that your perspective this
- 1:04some how that a person has by having that capability and the
- 1:08ability to be able to talk to God directly.
- 1:10Is it unbelievable? That was somehow, why could you
- 1:13say yesterday, you're talking to the source itself, you're
- 1:16talking past the buyer, you're talking beyond the company,
- 1:21beyond China, you're talking to literally the source himself
- 1:24each and every day. And it sounds like an
- 1:26exaggerated point, but we know by now it's a reality.
- 1:30And that is supposed to give us unbelievable sunka, being that
- 1:33we're dealing directly with the source.
- 1:35The whole idea of sunka with service, joy and service of
- 1:39Hashem is a concept. See all these areas of joy, we
- 1:43said this point yesterday, all these areas of joy are really
- 1:48point to the one I did. When you do something that's a
- 1:51mitzvah, when you talk to God, when you learn God's Surah, when
- 1:57you do his mitzvah, you're doing the most direct action possible.
- 2:03I'm going to tell you what I mean.
- 2:04Everything else in life is outside when I learn to die,
- 2:09right? So I am literally reading the
- 2:12word of Hashem. I am.
- 2:14I'm at the center of the universe because I'm dealing
- 2:16with the thing itself. I'm not doing anything that's on
- 2:19the side. I'm not doing anything.
- 2:20That's a distraction. That's a side point.
- 2:24I am doing literally the purpose itself.
- 2:26I am living my purpose. And the joy a person gets when
- 2:31they're living their life's purpose is a kind of joy.
- 2:35We may not realize that constant until we actually learn it and
- 2:38understand it. But the joy the person should
- 2:41get when they are living life's purpose is basically saying I'm
- 2:45not doing anything. That some, you know, a lot of
- 2:46things you do lead to other things, right?
- 2:51I'll give you an example. You know, you work so hard to
- 2:55worry about your summer situation.
- 2:56Think of your situation, right? You work so hard.
- 3:00So you spend a few months, some time looking for a house to rent
- 3:06and you prepare it. And you may take the move or you
- 3:09bring the truck. You move and then you get your
- 3:12family set up. You work on camps, you work on
- 3:15all these different things. You make sure your family's
- 3:17settled, you stock the fridge. All these things are the things
- 3:20that lead to the point. And what is the point when it
- 3:24comes to going to deal in the summer?
- 3:26The point is that sense that you have on a Sunday afternoon where
- 3:30nothing's going on, that feeling that's the center of that
- 3:33universe. So all that you did was all work
- 3:38to get to that point, right? Saying you should go into work
- 3:41every day. You run a company, you're
- 3:45involved in the company, you work hard, you drive to work,
- 3:48you park, you deal with people, you fly, you go away on
- 3:52business, you do all the UPS and ups and downs, you have all the
- 3:56headaches, you do all the emails, all to get to the
- 4:00dollar, all to use to support your family.
- 4:03So a lot of things that we do in our lives lead to things.
- 4:06A lot of things that we do all means to an end and not the ends
- 4:09themselves, correct? Now, your person could change
- 4:12when it comes to work and make his work until mitzvah itself.
- 4:15But typical, all that he's doing, his effort to lead to
- 4:19something. You raise your children, right?
- 4:22You raise your children. Think about how much effort you
- 4:25put into raising your children, even how much time, money,
- 4:30stress, thoughts, conversations with the teachers and the
- 4:34principals and sleepless nights and all these different things
- 4:36and doctors and million things, right?
- 4:39All that, excuse me, it's meant to lead to the goal.
- 4:45What's the goal? A good child, a child that gives
- 4:48you prior, a child that gives you when they get married, when
- 4:51they build their own family. So all the things that we do
- 4:54have, so many things lead to the center, to the spot, and you
- 4:58spend 95% of time working on getting to that moment.
- 5:04You follow my point with this paper now.
- 5:05Yeah. When it comes to work, that's
- 5:07the case. When it comes to going on
- 5:09vacation, that's the case. When it comes to raising a
- 5:11child's case, when it comes to even being married, that's the
- 5:14case. Marriage, the beauty of the
- 5:17marriage are those certain moments.
- 5:19And how much effort do we put in for those certain bubbles,
- 5:23Right? Also, a lot is done to get to
- 5:26the spot. The idea of sukkah, of joy when
- 5:31you serve Hashem, when you learn, when you do, when you're
- 5:35doing with thought, is to realize this moment is that a
- 5:39means to an end? It's the ends itself.
- 5:41When I sit right here and we discuss these concepts, we are
- 5:45living the ends themselves, or we pray everything.
- 5:49We're living down themselves. We give charity, we're doing the
- 5:51ends themselves. And there's a joy that's
- 5:55supposed to come alive that is bigger than any other joy.
- 5:58And the feeling will be I am doing them as thyself.
- 6:03I am living life's purpose right now is nothing better than that,
- 6:07right? That is the idea, that's the
- 6:09theme, the same concept to escape about that we shouldn't.
- 6:13Live a life you know, for Alan. Habar Well, we exactly the idea
- 6:18of not living life alone about is that a person realizes right
- 6:22here, right now, I am doing the goal all of us is to live man's
- 6:26purpose. Our goal is to it's the same
- 6:30thing as if you think of a ball player, how much time as he, you
- 6:34know, he goes to Little League, high school, college, triple AI
- 6:40mean the model lease single A AA, AAA all is meant to lead to
- 6:45that moment to that spot to a small amount of time and there's
- 6:50so much we do to repair. That's the moment we're trying
- 6:52to have our mitzvot and our feeling while we do the mitzvot.
- 6:55I'm supposed to feel like I am living life's purpose and is
- 6:58nothing better than this. And yes, you shouldn't be
- 7:00thinking about Allah Bah Bah, you shouldn't be thinking about
- 7:03getting anywhere else. You are doing the thing itself.
- 7:06That's the mindset and the frame of mind is that many other
- 7:10things in our lives are things that lead to things.
- 7:13These miss what are actually living life is when you're able
- 7:20to do what it feels like. It's purposeful.
- 7:22When you live a meaningful life, you're living when you do all
- 7:26the other things to get used to the meaningful life.
- 7:28Well, those other parts are the effort that you're putting in to
- 7:31get to the spot. So the joy a person should have
- 7:34while they're doing a mitzvah. Now, what I just described to
- 7:38you is hard to see because it's hard to see this right here
- 7:42right now. Learning this is living and
- 7:47figuring out how to find parking is not living or you know, or I
- 7:50mean, that's easy to see, but dealing with the buyers is not
- 7:53living or flying out to do work is all means so and it's hard to
- 7:58see that. And by the way, is couple of
- 7:59things of here. Our bigger task is to turn all
- 8:03those things into living as well, right?
- 8:06Which means you, you turn therefore you put into your
- 8:09children before you get any nachat as a form of meaning.
- 8:13You turn all the different days of work as a form in your
- 8:16meaning as well. Those are more complicated to
- 8:18come by. That's the ultimate goal.
- 8:20But the start is the concept. When I syrup Hashem, I feel like
- 8:25I'm alive. I feel like I hate the purpose.
- 8:28I'm hitting the spot. I am literally living Haim.
- 8:32That's when they say, when I tell you Torah, it's considered
- 8:36Haim, right? It's Haim la razigimba.
- 8:40It's Haim, it's life. What do they mean?
- 8:42They mean literally this. The soul, while it's doing its
- 8:45actual purpose, is living. While it's doing all the effort
- 8:50to get to that purpose, it's not a symbol that is living.
- 8:54And if you shave down life and you look at our likes or
- 8:57people's lives, some people could be living.
- 9:00I think about this all the time. Some people could be living the
- 9:03equivalent of a couple of years the whole life.
- 9:07How does that make sense? Off the guy is sitting on the
- 9:09couch all day, right? Or even if he's going to work,
- 9:13but he does work the wrong way, even if he's running a family,
- 9:17but he does it out of stress, frustration and anger.
- 9:20Even if he's currently married, but his marriage is a mess.
- 9:23If he's living life and always doing our means to the end and
- 9:26he's not doing those means properly, he's not living life
- 9:31is literally doing this purpose and doing it the right way.
- 9:36That is hype and that creates somehow because you feel good,
- 9:40excuse me, you feel good or you're doing the right thing.
- 9:44You feel like something special. The idea that a person when they
- 9:48sit down and they learn, they have a certain feeling.
- 9:50Now, it's challenging to get that.
- 9:52Let's struggle to remain there. All those things are correct.
- 9:55But when you sit down and you do the misfort properly, the
- 9:59feeling that you have is somehow that you're supposed to have is
- 10:03a feeling like I am doing what I was born to do.
- 10:07You know, people say that I feel right.
- 10:09I feel like I'm telling you I was, I was waiting for this.
- 10:11I'm born for this. This is my Forte.
- 10:14Torah and mitzvot are our so scorp and everything we do up
- 10:18until that point all means that I end, and they're not as joyous
- 10:22as the end itself. This is the point.
- 10:24Maybe be here as the council. So, for example, on 392, the
- 10:44further a person enters inside the hadre diat que de la toy
- 10:49para inside the connection to God, your tear tidal BU azenka,
- 10:54he's going to have greater joy via heli Bo SA speaker Bo and
- 11:00his heart will be happy. The Omar ismaki cel BU O sav
- 11:06bereza be happy with and rejoice me your creator Benettion aguilu
- 11:12be makan People of Tione should be happy with the melech vidavid
- 11:17Shequanic via Aguila E mahamala Azad shirgat O davi who reaches
- 11:22point, say get out of your words.
- 11:26God make me so happy. I know he is.
- 11:29I am so happy. Your words, this idea over
- 11:32Hashem over and over again. A person should say should reach
- 11:36a point that I feel good. It feels right when he's sitting
- 11:39by a Shabbat table. It feels right when he's sitting
- 11:42to learn, feels right when you're giving charity, even
- 11:46feels right when you give me someone you feel like in your
- 11:49moment. All these different things.
- 11:51And now we go further. How do we go further?
- 11:54We expand it. Let's expand.
- 11:56Let's take the preparation for Shabbat and make that special
- 11:59too. Let's take not only the NACHA
- 12:02for our children, even the effort we put into our children
- 12:05and make that meaningful too. Let's take the effort we put in
- 12:09to get to learn and make that powerful too.
- 12:11How about the effort we put in to bring an income?
- 12:16Make that powerful too. So you take the core, which is
- 12:20somehow bash him and you expend it.
- 12:23And the overall theme is for a person to recognize and feel and
- 12:27what I'm doing, what I was meant to do and I'm doing it right.
- 12:32There was a joy, there was a feeling of subha, There's a
- 12:35feeling of purpose. There's a feeling of no agita,
- 12:39no stress. Here's the key theme.
- 12:42If I told you right guys saying that to learning and learning is
- 12:46bothering you. It's hard If I told him he's
- 12:49living life's purpose, he'll feel better about it.
- 12:51If you go into work every day right and I told you is
- 12:55expanding the zone. Now I told you you know dealing
- 12:58with that buyer. It's a headache and I have but
- 13:01God wants you to do this and when you do it right, you're
- 13:05living your purpose. You'd feel better about it if
- 13:08you would have Hashem overseeing you were telling you right
- 13:11there, dealing with that annoying coworker who's getting
- 13:14me nervous and getting along with him.
- 13:16That is life's of meaning. That's your purpose here.
- 13:20You feel better about it too and you keep expanding the zone,
- 13:23expanding the zone and you recognize that everything that
- 13:26you're doing, which felt like means to an end.
- 13:28They're actually themselves an end.
- 13:32You'd feel by some high. That's the concept.
- 13:34That's our goal. Our goal is to rejoice, is to be
- 13:38happy, to be content. How do you reach content levels
- 13:42when you recognize that everything that you're doing are
- 13:45not just like we said originally means to the ends, but rather
- 13:49they are the ends of souls and you turn your entire life into
- 13:52service of Hashem. Some people to be living just a
- 13:57few times that they do much thought that's their whole life.
- 14:02Other people could be living a full life because they do
- 14:05misfault all day long. And other people can be living a
- 14:08full life because they work all day and they put a lot of stress
- 14:11into their life. But it's all means to an ends
- 14:14and they recognize that I'm living life's meaning.
- 14:17If you have the right approach, has the right mindset, you will
- 14:20have some kind everything. I know it's a lofty goal, but I
- 14:24want to see if it's possible to have persons that feel like I'm
- 14:27not fighting life, I'm not fighting my purpose, I am living
- 14:31my purpose. I'm not going against the grain.
- 14:33I'm going along with the grain. And when you feel that way, you
- 14:37will have a joy and a some ha by recognizing I'm doing what I
- 14:40meant to be doing. Is this doable?
- 14:43It's the only way. It's the only way.
- 14:46Go to work every day and you have do annoying people all
- 14:49right have deal with headaches. We all do.
- 14:53And you say to yourself hurdles 3 steps 2 steps 1.
- 14:57You say I recognize my 4th on my life.
- 15:01What's this? Where did this come in?
- 15:04Where does this headache come in?
- 15:05Right? Step 2 is to say after you
- 15:09realize you must, what a Haim. The steps that lead you to him,
- 15:13it's what also Haim. So the work that you deal with
- 15:16every day, if you deal with it right, that too is your purpose.
- 15:22I had a conversation with a bunch of boys and on Sunday and
- 15:26they were so surprised by what I said.
- 15:27I don't know why I wasn't surprised, but he was surprised.
- 15:31I said I'll give you 2 people. One guy is in a cave.
- 15:37He learns, he wakes up in the morning.
- 15:39He goes in like there every day. He goes to pray.
- 15:44He says the Liam hair for tea, Lima day and now he does the
- 15:48kukatsu. I'll give you another guy who
- 15:52has to deal with a wife and make Shalom to his marriage, has to
- 15:56raise his children, doesn't get so frustrated, has to go to work
- 16:00every day and avoids getting insulted and insulting others.
- 16:03Is can't know what he says. He goes to pray in the morning.
- 16:06Sure, he goes right and he goes pray at night.
- 16:07He has a learning schedule, a regular guy, but he makes sure
- 16:13to be able to get along with people or work on his character.
- 16:16I said, if I had to ask you guys, which one are you going to
- 16:20for a better? The first one who does Mcvan in
- 16:24the morning, half the Delian cave at night, What the good had
- 16:29thought. Or the second one who wakes up
- 16:32like a regular person, goes to work, deals with people, tells
- 16:35his wife, creates Shalom, raises children, has a praying schedule
- 16:40and learning schedule who shouldn't be going to the better
- 16:42heart. I said they all told me.
- 16:44The first guy, I said, I'm tell you, a little surprised.
- 16:48Second was pretty good too. Not only am I going to the
- 16:50second one, the second one he's doing, he's in the Hall of Fame.
- 16:54He's doing everything that he's supposed he's in the Hall of
- 16:56Fame. The first guy, I don't even know
- 16:59if he makes it to the big leagues.
- 17:00I have no idea. It depends if he's a good guy or
- 17:04no tests, depends if he's a good fellow or not.
- 17:07The fact that he does all those things doesn't mean that much to
- 17:11me. What means to me is that if a
- 17:13person deals with life and focuses on life the right way
- 17:17and acts and develops himself the right way, that person makes
- 17:21to the Hall of Fame because that person we should all realize can
- 17:25be us and is US. And it's a much according to
- 17:28Messiah Shanine, a much happier life.
- 17:31If you realize that's your pertinence.
- 17:33If you realize that's why I'm here.
- 17:35I'm here from my mitzvot like beside from the beginning.
- 17:38There's some hot right there, and I'm here also for all the
- 17:41steps that lead to you mitzvot. But the other?
- 17:43Guy gets all the glory. I I would have thought up until
- 17:464 1/2 years ago that the first guy was the guy because seems
- 17:50pure, right? Yeah.
- 17:52So I got clips for like 150 gram and the guy wouldn't drink my
- 17:57pole because it was in Halawa so.
- 17:59Right. But I'm just saying a guy is
- 18:02doing everything right. I mean, no, he tried to buy me a
- 18:05second pitch because he and the whole thing right?
- 18:07And they might be doing that stuff, but they're never
- 18:12fighting the grain of the daily grind.
- 18:14So to work. On them, you know?
- 18:17Yeah. So in the real world, in the
- 18:19real world, so it is. And in the rabbi's real world,
- 18:23the rabbis, they value the actual person who went through
- 18:30things, who deals life the right way, way more than they do.
- 18:34That first person, they do. Real people do.
- 18:37I know people get excited over that, that color, and they think
- 18:42that it's something special. There's no difference between
- 18:46the other side of the world is real and here.
- 18:48If you are a good person, you're a good person.
- 18:51If you're not, I'll see you later.
- 18:53I don't care. It means nothing to me.
- 18:55All these different heebie jeebie or whatever, any of those
- 18:57things you do, it doesn't mean anything to me.
- 18:59If I find that that person is dishonest, goodbye.
- 19:02If I find other guy who had a temptation to be dishonest and
- 19:06gave over money just to avoid a fight, who gave all money just
- 19:10to remain fully honest, bravo, Right?
- 19:13And that second person is a person who's living life the
- 19:15right way, but at the core is what a person realizes.
- 19:18This is my job. You know, the part of the reason
- 19:22why I grew up a Harry Potter kid, OK, You know that.
- 19:26And one of the big themes at the end of Harry Potter is a
- 19:30consequent the greater good, right?
- 19:33Where they believe that certain things were permissible.
- 19:37That was the whole big fight at the end, based on the greater
- 19:39good. That was the big fight.
- 19:42Do you believe in the greater good or not?
- 19:43A lot of times people do things inappropriate based on the
- 19:48greater good outcome. You know I'm going to bash that
- 19:52person. The end.
- 19:53Justifies the means. Exactly, simply right and
- 19:56justify means I'm going to bash that person because I don't want
- 19:59them to be around me. So I'm going to shamble them or
- 20:01I'm going to, I don't know what I'm going to do.
- 20:02I'm going to do something wrong because I have a certain goal in
- 20:06mind. I'm going to do whatever I need
- 20:08to get to that goal. And we know many people, many
- 20:10things, many institutions who fall and do the wrong thing
- 20:14because of that thing, right? What all those people slash
- 20:18whatever organizations are missing is a realization that
- 20:22God wants you 1000% to be a good person to run through and he has
- 20:28no interest. 0 interest in I'll gun gains and wrongfully develop
- 20:34ends. God can care less but such ends.
- 20:37If a guy shambles another guy, I can't call him a case in my mind
- 20:41right now, but someone shambles some because doesn't want to
- 20:44have a bad influence on his child.
- 20:45So you shambles that person wants to protect this child.
- 20:48No good. You don't shambles that person
- 20:49thing. You figure a way around it to be
- 20:51like your child. Even though protecting my
- 20:53child's such a valuable thing doesn't give you the right to be
- 20:57a bad person. And in fact, yeah, mitzvah is to
- 21:01figure a way in the process to do things right.
- 21:05That is your goal. That's the point.
- 21:08In general in life, the more people realize this, the more
- 21:13their entire process will be proper.
- 21:16The less they realize this, the less the process.
- 21:19Process is going to be good. Only the outcome is going to be
- 21:22good. And if you're living a life
- 21:24outcome based, it'll be a lot of flaws and a lot in this you're
- 21:28not a lot of tests. Why?
- 21:31Because let's say you're running a shoe outcome based, right?
- 21:33I think running a shoe outcome based, you could be a little
- 21:37sketchy in your fundraising. You could be a little dishonest
- 21:39in your books. You could be a little of this, a
- 21:41little of that. You could treat people the wrong
- 21:43way because it's all about the outcome.
- 21:46All about the outcome. You change the minute Hagim or
- 21:49people are not comfortable with them because the outcome.
- 21:52You want it to be comfortable for the people.
- 21:54You do all those things that are wrong because it's based on the
- 21:57outcome and in the end you end up having nothing.
- 21:59You run your family based on outcome.
- 22:02All my children to be protected, all my children to be safe, all
- 22:06my children to have. Don't want around them that's
- 22:08bad or anything wrong. So what do I do?
- 22:13I shamble, I do certain things. I'm tough on the teachers, I'm
- 22:16annoying to the principles. I'm a difficult person.
- 22:19If you do life the wrong way just cause of the outcome, a
- 22:22whole process can be ruined, right?
- 22:25Even though your goal is to result to be result, to be
- 22:28right, that's wrong as a wrong approach.
- 22:30And the job is to serve Hashem based on the fact that you're
- 22:35serving Hashem all the way through the right way.
- 22:39And then every step of your life has joy.
- 22:42Every detail of your life feels right because everything you're
- 22:46doing is an ends in and of itself.
- 22:48That's the idea. All right.
- 22:49What's U with this?
