Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Jary, Katy and Josh one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: We've already had our first uh school freak out this
- 0:07Speaker 2: morning because you know, my kiddos are heading back and
- 0:09Speaker 2: my wife was just texting me off the air, going,
- 0:12Speaker 2: oh my god, oh my god, where are all the
- 0:14Speaker 2: ice packs for.
- 0:14Speaker 1: The lunches because she's trying to pack the lunches this
- 0:17Speaker 1: morning and I forgot.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I put about ten of them in a cooler when
- 0:21Speaker 2: we went, uh and did some stuff at.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Water World, and I forgot him in the car.
- 0:27Speaker 2: No, like, oh yeah, those are down in the cooler,
- 0:29Speaker 2: still in the basement, nice and warm.
- 0:30Speaker 3: They're warm.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Uh to my kiddos, enjoy your warm lunches.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Whoopsie daisies, All right, all morning.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Katie has been chomping at the bed to tell us
- 0:42Speaker 2: a story about how she went for a walk, But
- 0:44Speaker 2: she's really worried about the children.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Because it was traumatic. Was it gonna put.
- 0:47Speaker 1: That traumatic for you? It was did you come across
- 0:50Speaker 1: the salad or something?
- 0:51Speaker 4: No, shut, and that would be traumatic right now because
- 0:55Speaker 4: the salad is anyway.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Okay, So here's what happened. I was walking on the
- 1:00Speaker 3: walking path.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I came across a little bird in the middle of
- 1:05Speaker 4: the walking path, like sitting.
- 1:07Speaker 3: It wasn't moving, and I was like, that's odd.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Usually when you approach a bird, it flies away, it
- 1:12Speaker 4: wants to get out of your way, and this one
- 1:14Speaker 4: just sat there in the middle of the path. So
- 1:15Speaker 4: I went up to it and I poked it a
- 1:17Speaker 4: little and it made a sound, so.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It was totally alive and I was and it was
- 1:22Speaker 3: breathed up. It's like breathing really hard. And it was hot.
- 1:25Speaker 3: It was so hot yesterday, and so I was like,
- 1:28Speaker 3: oh my.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Gosh, this poor little bird is overheated and it can't fine.
- 1:32Speaker 3: So what do I do?
- 1:33Speaker 1: Did you regurgitate your lunch?
- 1:35Speaker 4: And I picked up the little bird and I put
- 1:41Speaker 4: it in my runner's pack, and then I ran home
- 1:44Speaker 4: because I was like, needs to get into some kind
- 1:49Speaker 4: of air.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Conditioning, right or water?
- 1:51Speaker 3: Do you water?
- 1:52Speaker 4: Well, here's the thing, Okay, So I'm running with this
- 1:55Speaker 4: bird in my runner pack and I'm trying not to
- 1:57Speaker 4: shake it because.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I know that it is shaking bird syndrome.
- 2:00Speaker 3: This is a serious situation.
- 2:02Speaker 4: So I have the bird in its runner pack in
- 2:04Speaker 4: my runner pack, and I'm running and I come across
- 2:07Speaker 4: these three guys eating lunch under a trees had to
- 2:09Speaker 4: be the funniest site to them, because I'm like, you're
- 2:12Speaker 4: gonna make it, little Bertie, you got this, And I'm
- 2:15Speaker 4: like running talking to my runner's pack. They probably thought
- 2:18Speaker 4: I was talking to myself.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Come I left, you got this, you know.
- 2:22Speaker 4: But so I finally make it home and I walk
- 2:25Speaker 4: into the house and this bird is like his little
- 2:27Speaker 4: eyes are fluttering, and I'm like.
- 2:29Speaker 3: You got this, birdie? And I put it on a chair.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I put a paper towel down and I put it
- 2:34Speaker 4: on a chair and I start just like observing it,
- 2:36Speaker 4: and I see that this little birdie is also now
- 2:38Speaker 4: missing a leg.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It's probably go right, did.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You check your pack? It in there?
- 2:43Speaker 4: No, it wasn't in my back It fell off, like
- 2:46Speaker 4: that's why it couldn't fly. So immediately I get my
- 2:50Speaker 4: phone out and I chat GPT, Okay, I found a bird.
- 2:53Speaker 3: It only has one leg. It's breathing hard. What do
- 2:56Speaker 3: I do?
- 2:57Speaker 4: You know?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Get out your air fryer. No, it's a bagel.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Chat GPT was like, you did the right thing, you know,
- 3:05Speaker 4: maybe get it out of the backpack and put it
- 3:07Speaker 4: in a little box.
- 3:08Speaker 3: So it's trying to tell me what to.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Do with this bird.
- 3:11Speaker 3: And as it's.
- 3:12Speaker 4: I'm like reading it, I'm about to call the wild
- 3:14Speaker 4: bird Rescue because that's what GPT told me to do.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I look over on the chair and all of a sudden,
- 3:20Speaker 4: this bird starts to like shake, and then it's like,
- 3:23Speaker 4: I'm like, what are you trying to cry away? Like
- 3:25Speaker 4: I don't know, but then it just starts to shake.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Then it starts to convult, and then this beard the
- 3:31Speaker 4: bird just died, right. And I tried so hard to
- 3:38Speaker 4: say this, and it was so traumatic.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Because it just like, I mean, you didn't try that hard.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You just brought it home and put it on a chair. Mature.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You should probably just take and put it in a
- 3:52Speaker 2: little grassy area.
- 3:55Speaker 3: The chat GPT told me.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I did the right thing, and I just needed like
- 4:01Speaker 4: thirty extra seconds.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, where's the bird now?
- 4:04Speaker 3: I put it in a paper towel and I threw
- 4:06Speaker 3: it in the track.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the way I would have wanted to go
- 4:09Speaker 4: a nice prayer for it.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I was like, it would have bird, God's bless you
- 4:14Speaker 3: and your life and the above.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I was so so I treated it like a dead
- 4:19Speaker 2: fish and I put it in the toilet and flashed
- 4:20Speaker 2: it was.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I thought, for sure you're gonna say you put it
- 4:23Speaker 1: in your freezer, and you're.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Like, no soon, And I feel any people would have
- 4:28Speaker 4: tried to save this bird though, come on, like it
- 4:30Speaker 4: was in the middle.
- 4:31Speaker 1: My wife would exactly, you're very much like my wife.
- 4:34Speaker 1: She would She's the one who would do.
- 4:36Speaker 2: A barrel roll out of a car to get a
- 4:38Speaker 2: dog off the side of the road. Exactly, you're very
- 4:40Speaker 2: much like sweet nick knack me. I would probably have
- 4:43Speaker 2: just done the little.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Kicked it to decide. Kept on. Yeah, you should have seen.
- 4:48Speaker 3: His little bird face.
- 4:49Speaker 4: He was like, help me, help help.
- 4:52Speaker 3: And I did, but I apparently I'm not there.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's tough, Like what do you do?
- 4:58Speaker 4: You know?
- 4:59Speaker 3: No, because again I I.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Think I would have just put him in the bushes,
- 5:04Speaker 2: because then he dies out in nature kind of like
- 5:07Speaker 2: how it was meant to be maybe something else, you know,
- 5:10Speaker 2: get him then get yeah, you know, it's the circle
- 5:14Speaker 2: of like.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Now he's going to a landfill in your trash.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Do with him. I didn't want to put him in
- 5:19Speaker 4: the bush because what if a little kid comes out
- 5:21Speaker 4: and like kids like.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It was very traumatic, So it took me all day yesterday.
- 5:28Speaker 4: I woke up this morning. It is the first thing
- 5:30Speaker 4: I thought about. I was like, that poor bird.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Funny if you woke up this morning and he'd come
- 5:34Speaker 2: back to life and he was like hopping around your
- 5:36Speaker 2: apartment trying to get out up against your back door.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You take a nap, and this is what happened.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Help.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Help, I didn't tell you right now.
- 5:50Speaker 2: If I was out in the dating world back at it,
- 5:52Speaker 2: you know, my wife left me or something.
- 5:54Speaker 4: M M.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I don't know if i'd be able to flirt like
- 5:58Speaker 2: it's been such a long time. Yeah, since I flirted.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Like truly flirted, like truly flirted with intent, right, not
- 6:08Speaker 4: just messing around.
- 6:09Speaker 1: This all comes about because my wife was well.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I had a freezer delivered yesterday and she was home
- 6:15Speaker 2: and I was making comments about, you know, like, hey,
- 6:18Speaker 2: the delivery guys.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You know, it's kind of cute. Though. I was hopping
- 6:21Speaker 1: on the camera and I was watching what was going on.
- 6:23Speaker 1: There's a couple of good looking dudes that delivered that freezer.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Well then she made mad.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Because after they left, I flipped the cameras on and
- 6:34Speaker 2: I was like, hey, is that freezer cold yet? Can
- 6:36Speaker 2: you stand a little closer to it? Yeah, you know,
- 6:39Speaker 2: kids are listening. I can't go in any more details.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I asked her if she had a certain article of
- 6:44Speaker 2: clothing on while she was standing close to the freezer,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and she's like, oh no, I left that off because
- 6:47Speaker 2: if the delivery guys were.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Here, right, show off the girl?
- 6:51Speaker 1: Why are you coming at me?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Like? Thanks?
- 6:53Speaker 2: Still got it, but it did get me thinking, like
- 6:56Speaker 2: if I was out there, I don't know, Katie, you're
- 6:58Speaker 2: you're in the game.
- 7:00Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I'm trying to play, but it's hard.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Like flirting has changed so much, first of all with
- 7:07Speaker 4: the addition of digital everything. So they're saying that a
- 7:11Speaker 4: lot of people now are fluent in texting, but far
- 7:15Speaker 4: less comfortable with ambiguity, rejection, and face to face social risks.
- 7:19Speaker 4: So they're not willing to go up to somebody to
- 7:22Speaker 4: start a conversation because they don't they don't have those cojones.
- 7:27Speaker 3: They like that act. Everything is over text now, so
- 7:31Speaker 3: they don't know how to approach somebody.
- 7:33Speaker 4: And there was one thing in specific, so this came
- 7:35Speaker 4: to my mind because it just made me laugh.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I was out with a friend recently and we were.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Standing at the bar and this guy turned to me
- 7:42Speaker 4: and started talking to me a little bit and I
- 7:44Speaker 4: just was like whatever, like a hahaha, And I turned
- 7:47Speaker 4: back around and talked to her.
- 7:47Speaker 3: She's like, what are you doing? He's totally flirting with you.
- 7:50Speaker 4: It's like, was he I don't I don't even know
- 7:52Speaker 4: if people are flirting with me.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I don't know how to flirt back with him.
- 7:57Speaker 4: And by the time I turned around home, he was gone, Yes,
- 8:01Speaker 4: I missed my chances because I don't I'm out there
- 8:04Speaker 4: and I don't even know when it's happening anymore. It
- 8:07Speaker 4: has changed so much, well, like, how do you much?
- 8:10Speaker 4: I don't really like First of all, everything again is
- 8:13Speaker 4: being done over the online dating stuff and everything. So again,
- 8:17Speaker 4: when I come up to somebody, as I just told you,
- 8:20Speaker 4: I don't even know they're flirting, just like, oh do
- 8:23Speaker 4: you drop something here?
- 8:25Speaker 3: You go?
- 8:25Speaker 1: You know, you like do the hair tussle?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Not really a little bit more, isn't it the whole?
- 8:30Speaker 1: Like if the lady touches your arm or your shoulder.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Yeah, someone touches you, that's a big deal.
- 8:37Speaker 1: That's where I would be like, I know it.
- 8:40Speaker 4: Really is if somebody like actually touches you while they're talking,
- 8:44Speaker 4: that's intentful anymore.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I'd be like, can I have permission to touch your
- 8:49Speaker 2: arm right now? Because right now currently I'm flirting with
- 8:52Speaker 2: you exactly. I know, like you have to tell this
- 8:54Speaker 2: is safe space.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm going to touch you now because I am attracted
- 8:57Speaker 1: to you.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Because everything has changed so much.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Also, like the whole permission, and I get that, like consent,
- 9:03Speaker 4: it's so important.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So I understand all that.
- 9:05Speaker 4: But now when you're about ready to make out, like
- 9:08Speaker 4: that's been that's happened to me, and it's a little.
- 9:11Speaker 1: You care if I put my tongue in your mouth? First?
- 9:13Speaker 4: It's odd at first, it's like why are you asking me?
- 9:15Speaker 4: But then with the back history, with the context, it
- 9:18Speaker 4: makes total sense to want to.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Ask you consent, Yes, please put in my mouth.
- 9:23Speaker 3: I'm just saying, like, it's all so different, Jeremy.
- 9:25Speaker 4: I feel like if you got out there, you would
- 9:27Speaker 4: need a handbook, Like you need something.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I need this pretty solid wing man. He's like nineteen
- 9:33Speaker 1: years old.
- 9:35Speaker 3: We would we'd need some things.
- 9:37Speaker 4: So yeah, it's just the tangible world is so different
- 9:41Speaker 4: now than it was when you were out there, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 4: shooting your shot.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever happened.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Just taking too many shots and then making out with
- 9:49Speaker 2: the random at the bar.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You know it.
- 9:52Speaker 3: That builds character. I know we need to do that
- 9:54Speaker 3: some more. Go make out with some randoms like I
- 9:57Speaker 3: love that.
- 9:58Speaker 1: We're gonna play. Let me love you now, Jeremy, Can
- 10:03Speaker 1: I judge you? Can I love you?
- 10:04Speaker 4: Please,
