- 0:03Speaker 1: Okay, I got a couple of things for you to watch.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Today.
- 0:09Speaker 1: April twenty sixth was Alien Day.
- 0:13Speaker 3: I don't know how that happened, but there you go.
- 0:17Speaker 3: And to celebrate, FX released a pair of new videos
- 0:20Speaker 3: for Alien Earth, which is coming in summer, teasing what's
- 0:25Speaker 3: on the show. This one is a little well all right,
- 0:30Speaker 3: This first one is labeled Gestation. Okay, it's three and
- 0:36Speaker 3: a half minutes long, and we see the scientific birth
- 0:40Speaker 3: of one of the aliens. Okay, I mean and and
- 0:45Speaker 3: like I said, it's it's very graphic, like cells dividing.
- 0:49Speaker 1: It starts with cells dividing. There's lots of slime. Yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it starts with the cells dividing.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I can hear them. And I thought, well, did I
- 1:00Speaker 1: say s M R?
- 1:02Speaker 3: But no, And then the cells continue to divide and
- 1:06Speaker 3: grow and oh yeah, I'll just fast forward and you
- 1:15Speaker 3: can see it growing. And my favorite part is the
- 1:26Speaker 3: little clause that it's so cute that the baby alien
- 1:30Speaker 3: has you have to put no booties on his hand
- 1:32Speaker 3: so that he doesn't scratch himself.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Well, like I said, that one's really graphic, in like
- 1:38Speaker 3: three and a half minutes longer, but this is.
- 1:40Speaker 1: This is just a short you know, promo for the show.
- 1:44Speaker 4: This ship.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Collected five different life forms from the darkest corners of
- 1:54Speaker 2: the universe. You want a unique deadly species.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Monsters Alien Earth coming this summer, that's all right. Yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 3: it's an original series and looks like it's going to
- 2:15Speaker 3: be a lot of fun, especially if you're like me,
- 2:17Speaker 3: a fan of the Alien franchise Who Is. It takes
- 2:20Speaker 3: place in twenty one, twenty two years before the original
- 2:24Speaker 3: Alien with you know, Ripley and everybody. After a whalen
- 2:28Speaker 3: Utannie ship has crashed on humanity's home planet. Unfortunately, a
- 2:33Speaker 3: group of soldiers go about investigating and discover some nasty
- 2:36Speaker 3: secrets inside. With the planet at stake, the team will
- 2:40Speaker 3: have to survive all those life forms and the company's
- 2:43Speaker 3: own agendas. So you've got Sydney Chandler, Timothy Oliphant, oh
- 2:48Speaker 3: Alex the author. Yeah, because it's a Josh Holly, they've
- 2:52Speaker 3: worked together before. So sometime this summer on FX and
- 2:55Speaker 3: on Hulu as well. Now, whalen Utani is the corporation
- 3:01Speaker 3: that wants the alien for the Weapons Division.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Now there's in the Alien Predator world.
- 3:11Speaker 3: They apparently exist in the same universe, even though they
- 3:14Speaker 3: were separate franchises at first, the writers brought them together
- 3:18Speaker 3: Alien versus Predator, Alien versus Predator, and you can thank
- 3:22Speaker 3: Comic Books for that. But Predator bad Lands, which we
- 3:26Speaker 3: got the trailer for on Friday, keen eyed, and I
- 3:31Speaker 3: mean that sincerely, keen eyed.
- 3:33Speaker 1: People. Notice that el Fanning, who's in.
- 3:37Speaker 3: It, is at one point tied up somehow, but her
- 3:43Speaker 3: eyes are white and wide open.
- 3:46Speaker 1: She's not a person.
- 3:47Speaker 3: She's wanted like ash. You know, she's a robot. And
- 3:50Speaker 3: if you look at her eyes, apparently there's the w
- 3:54Speaker 3: logo of the business of whaland Utana apparently, So I
- 4:00Speaker 3: want to watch that as well.
- 4:01Speaker 1: You decide I'm not willing to make that leap.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Carry likes to wait for the thing to happen exactly exactly.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Let's see. So there's that. Go and take a look
- 4:12Speaker 1: at those trailers. Let's see. Oh, here we go. You
- 4:16Speaker 1: ever wonder why Yoda talks the way he does?
- 4:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Exactly, because I wonder.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I knew, well this is this is a question that
- 4:31Speaker 3: has been asked many times, and George Lucas raised his
- 4:35Speaker 3: head up just long enough to say, oh, you want
- 4:38Speaker 3: me to answer that, yeah, uh, he said, for any
- 4:41Speaker 3: he says. George Lucas was asked about Yoda's particular speech
- 4:45Speaker 3: patterns during a recent anniversary screening for The Empire, and
- 4:49Speaker 3: his answer was, I had to figure out a way
- 4:52Speaker 3: to get people to actually listen to what he was saying, especially.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Twelve year olds.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Okay, he says, if you speak in regular English, people
- 5:00Speaker 3: don't listen that much. But if he had an accent
- 5:02Speaker 3: or it's really hard to understand what he's saying, they
- 5:05Speaker 3: focus on what he's saying. So, because he's a philosopher,
- 5:10Speaker 3: I'm not playing.
- 5:14Speaker 1: So there's that another little thing for you to watch.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And this is just funny.
- 5:19Speaker 3: What if Star Trek Strange New Worlds meant SpongeBob SquarePants.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I don't okay with I don't know.
- 5:30Speaker 4: These are the voyage so the Patrick Starship Enterprise, what's
- 5:37Speaker 4: your status, Commander Cheeks, everything's page commenced, nautical nonsense, it's
- 5:43Speaker 4: mission unclear, engage hit a crabs hi, It's cruel, unfaded, slender,
- 5:57Speaker 4: a pearl fire in the politics the popcorn.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So it's a combination of the actual cast and set
- 6:03Speaker 3: of Star Trek, Star World going SpongeBob.
- 6:09Speaker 2: It's where no one has gone.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Before, greeting sponge Robert your dream, perhaps it was your imagination.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Whether you like SpongeBob, Star Trek or both, find your mountain.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's an ad for Paramount Plus. You can go and
- 6:29Speaker 1: watch that.
- 6:30Speaker 3: It's It's it's it's slightly amusing, it sounds slightly only
- 6:34Speaker 3: slightly amusing, all right,
