- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with on our radio.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back, everybody, It's the almost famous og podcast. It's
- 0:10Speaker 1: Trista back with you today. I'm so so excited because
- 0:14Speaker 1: today I get to deep dive with someone you all
- 0:18Speaker 1: know and love me too. She's a friend of mine
- 0:22Speaker 1: from Gosh. I guess it's probably eleven years ago, since
- 0:27Speaker 1: she's well, maybe ten, because she's been married for almost
- 0:31Speaker 1: eleven years. Crazy. We first met her on season seventeen
- 0:35Speaker 1: of The Bachelor with Sean Lowe, and then again when
- 0:39Speaker 1: she was the star of the Bachelorette for season nine.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Please welcome Desire Siegfried. All right, beautiful, how are you?
- 0:47Speaker 1: How is life? How are the babies.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 0:50Speaker 3: I've been so busy, I mean, having the new little guys,
- 0:54Speaker 3: like really, I mean has changed our world in the
- 0:57Speaker 3: best way. But I'm just I literally I can't believe,
- 1:00Speaker 3: like a year has already almost gone by, Like I
- 1:03Speaker 3: don't know, I just can't even.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I just can't, like for real, he's almost a year old. Yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 2: he's almost a year old already. Yeah, it's crazy.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I mean, I you know, we considered having more, but
- 1:17Speaker 1: because of the way my body handled pregnancies, I was like, yeah, no,
- 1:20Speaker 1: we're done, and we got a boy and a girl,
- 1:22Speaker 1: so we're good. So how is it? Like I always
- 1:25Speaker 1: heard that having a third makes things exponentially harder. How
- 1:30Speaker 1: are you feeling?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's just he's just so busy, Like
- 1:36Speaker 3: I think he's just trying to keep up with his brothers.
- 1:39Speaker 3: So it's like, I just I just have never known
- 1:43Speaker 3: a busy like he is, like so busy, Like he
- 1:45Speaker 3: has the biggest fomo I have ever seen in anyone.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Except maybe his dad Chris is got fomo. So yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 2: he's got it. It's super cute. Yeah, it's super cute.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I mean it is challenging because I'm homeschooling too, so
- 2:01Speaker 3: I'm I'm trying.
- 2:02Speaker 2: To just navigate, like I'm navigating.
- 2:06Speaker 3: The best I can, you know, and he's he's actually
- 2:10Speaker 3: a really great baby, so he makes it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: He makes it fun. Yeah.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Good. And the boys are just they just love on him,
- 2:18Speaker 1: or the big wrestlers or what are they just.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I mean they wrestle each other. But yeah, oh it's
- 2:24Speaker 2: so cute. It's so cute. I don't think like anyone
- 2:28Speaker 2: can prepare you for just like watching you're older, because
- 2:32Speaker 2: we have the age gap.
- 2:33Speaker 3: You know, we have six years from Xander to Noah.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And it's really fun to see how.
- 2:42Speaker 3: The older boys, like, you know, he wakes up from
- 2:44Speaker 3: his nap and everyone goes rushing in. Like I'm like,
- 2:48Speaker 3: this boy is gonna like not know what it's like
- 2:51Speaker 3: to not have people, you know, loving on him at
- 2:54Speaker 3: all times.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah, that's and that's a really good problem to have.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I love that. I love that they are just and
- 3:02Speaker 1: because they're home and homeschooling, like they truly are there
- 3:06Speaker 1: all the time. How is the homeschooling going. Are you
- 3:09Speaker 1: enjoying it?
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:11Speaker 3: I mean to be completely honest, I like in the beginning,
- 3:14Speaker 3: I was like, absolutely not, I will never homeschool, Like, oh,
- 3:19Speaker 3: I could never because I wasn't a stay at home
- 3:23Speaker 3: mom either, and so I was working on a business
- 3:25Speaker 3: and so I think in your mind when you're doing
- 3:28Speaker 3: those things, it's like, oh my gosh, I could never.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But in hindsight, I realize it's only we just say
- 3:34Speaker 3: that because we don't know what we don't know. And so, yeah,
- 3:38Speaker 3: homeschooling has been the biggest blessing I have ever. Yeah,
- 3:43Speaker 3: like the blessing I didn't know I needed. So I
- 3:46Speaker 3: recommend it to everybody.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I love that. I love that. Yeah, I'm definitely one
- 3:52Speaker 1: of those people who was like I will never and
- 3:54Speaker 1: I didn't ever.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's definitely yeah, there's definitely like you know,
- 4:03Speaker 3: there's definitely some challenges that you work through it and
- 4:06Speaker 3: then it's just so it's so great. Like I think
- 4:09Speaker 3: my favorite part is just being able to see how
- 4:11Speaker 3: my boys like work and operate and.
- 4:14Speaker 2: The way they think.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And I don't know, I think that's been the greatest
- 4:19Speaker 3: joy of just being able to see like what motivates them,
- 4:23Speaker 3: what they're interested in, and I can be a part
- 4:25Speaker 3: of that, you know, not just secondary, but really be
- 4:29Speaker 3: involved and help them grow and you know, thrive and
- 4:33Speaker 3: whatever they're interested in.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Oh of course, my gosh, that is a huge blessing.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Just more time, I mean, as I think, you know,
- 4:43Speaker 1: I have a senior and a junior and just yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 1: it's like thinking about my kids leaving, I oh, I
- 4:53Speaker 1: wish for those days back again. So I get it, like,
- 4:56Speaker 1: spend as much time.
- 4:58Speaker 3: I know, think that they'll stay they'll stay in it
- 5:01Speaker 3: near you do you think that they'll stay in Colorado?
- 5:05Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Actually, Max has twenty schools on his list right now.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 5:11Speaker 1: That is just because the only thing he really said
- 5:16Speaker 1: to me when I asked where he wants to go
- 5:18Speaker 1: to start putting schools on his list was he wanted
- 5:22Speaker 1: to go somewhere warm.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So that's not a lot of.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Inside. So Ryan and I have just added schools onto
- 5:30Speaker 1: his list that we think that he would vibe and
- 5:32Speaker 1: would be good for him. And we're going to go
- 5:34Speaker 1: out to California and go see some schools for fall break.
- 5:39Speaker 1: So that should be fun. But yeah, it is a
- 5:41Speaker 1: crazy journey. Does buckle up your seatbelt because holy cow.
- 5:45Speaker 3: No, no, no, I have friends who have like, you know,
- 5:48Speaker 3: the like eleven twelve, like getting into like puberty, and
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm just oh, I am, I just dons.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I mean we are, especially with all boys.
- 6:01Speaker 2: All boys.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like they're already I feel like they're.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Already stinky, you know.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I Like, I like, how in the world can a
- 6:10Speaker 3: six year old have like, you know, but because they're playing.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Sports and oh, in their shoes like they're stinky.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Oh no, oh my gosh. Okay, So we are on
- 6:26Speaker 1: the OG podcast, so we do have to take it
- 6:29Speaker 1: back all the way to the beginning. So can you
- 6:32Speaker 1: tell all of our listeners how you got started, Like,
- 6:36Speaker 1: did you nominate yourself or did someone else nominate you?
- 6:41Speaker 1: For Sean season? Did you know who Sean was? All
- 6:44Speaker 1: the things?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Sure, Yeah, let's go back into memory lane.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 3: It's like sometimes I'm like I forget, you know, I'm like,
- 6:53Speaker 3: I've life is just happens, and I'm like, oh, yeah
- 6:57Speaker 3: we met on a show. Yeah, so yeah, I was.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I was just fresh out of her well. I was
- 7:06Speaker 3: like a year out of her relationship that I was like,
- 7:08Speaker 3: you know, and so I just was like open to anything,
- 7:11Speaker 3: and I felt ready. I felt way more ready than
- 7:14Speaker 3: I had. You know, I was only twenty six, but
- 7:16Speaker 3: I still felt so ready. It's so funny as you
- 7:22Speaker 3: get older, you're like, oh.
- 7:24Speaker 2: You think you're just at all?
- 7:26Speaker 3: Yeah six, But no, I was just in a time
- 7:32Speaker 3: of life that where I was like I just need something.
- 7:35Speaker 3: I was super broke in LA, and I was like
- 7:38Speaker 3: I don't know what I'm doing. I didn't have any
- 7:41Speaker 3: family to help support like in LA, and honestly, I
- 7:46Speaker 3: felt lost because I wanted to do design, but I like,
- 7:50Speaker 3: I didn't have the money to do any of that.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So anyways, I was just ready.
- 7:55Speaker 3: It was like the time of life where I was
- 7:56Speaker 3: just ready and I had only watched Your Way, and
- 8:01Speaker 3: I had only watched like a little.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Bit of another episode. Like so I obviously knew of.
- 8:07Speaker 3: The Bachelor Bachelorette, but I obviously I did not know
- 8:11Speaker 3: like the depth of it. So I walked in one
- 8:16Speaker 3: day in my roommate was watching the show and I
- 8:19Speaker 3: was like.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Huh, you know, I'm like that.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Looks I mean, this is what's going in my head.
- 8:24Speaker 3: I literally was like that looks easy.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Because because I had always had guy friends and I
- 8:33Speaker 3: was always like, you know, I was always a guys
- 8:34Speaker 3: girl where I could like hang out. I always had like,
- 8:37Speaker 3: you know, friends that were brothers, you know, and I'm
- 8:40Speaker 3: like hanging out with guys and like traveling the world
- 8:43Speaker 3: like great.
- 8:44Speaker 2: And maybe there's one I like awesome. I don't know.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I was very naive, but.
- 8:51Speaker 3: So I I think I just sat on it for
- 8:54Speaker 3: a while and I was like, there's no way, like
- 8:57Speaker 3: this is weird, and then I just apply online. I
- 9:01Speaker 3: think there's like a question of like why do you
- 9:02Speaker 3: want to date online? And I mean, why do you
- 9:04Speaker 3: want to date you know, on a show. Yeah, and
- 9:08Speaker 3: I just said something kind of like witty or like
- 9:11Speaker 3: kind of silly, and then they just called it was
- 9:14Speaker 3: perfect timing.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Honestly, it was all god. It was all god like.
- 9:17Speaker 3: It was perfect timing because I didn't know when they
- 9:21Speaker 3: started doing casting and I didn't know when the show started.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I didn't know any of.
- 9:25Speaker 3: That, and it was just perfect timing because like they
- 9:28Speaker 3: called me back the like the next day, I did
- 9:31Speaker 3: an interview, and I still was so like, yeah, that's
- 9:35Speaker 3: not happening, like down to like going to casting, like
- 9:40Speaker 3: the casting weekend.
- 9:41Speaker 2: You know, there's like one hundred people.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, And I was literally like, yeah, this isn't really.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Going to happen. And even to a point of when they.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Gave me the contract, I was just like I read
- 9:55Speaker 3: like the clause or whatever or like something where it's
- 9:58Speaker 3: like you could be back up like where you're not
- 10:01Speaker 3: actually going on.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, that's probably that's probably it.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Like I was working NonStop, I didn't have time to
- 10:07Speaker 3: think about going on a show, and.
- 10:11Speaker 2: So yeah, it was really odd. But I it.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Was all just so surreal because I'm like, I'm very
- 10:18Speaker 3: introverted and I'm very reserved and so my friends were
- 10:21Speaker 3: just like, what, like, you're going on to writing.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know what, I think that's I think
- 10:29Speaker 3: that was in my benefit because I didn't need to
- 10:33Speaker 3: go on the show, and so I was super relaxed.
- 10:36Speaker 3: I was myself, and I honestly think that really helped,
- 10:40Speaker 3: not knowing a lot.
- 10:41Speaker 1: About the show, Yeah, totally, to just I can see that.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yeah, to just be like, yeah, this is me and
- 10:50Speaker 3: if it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't,
- 10:52Speaker 3: and yeah, I just really left it. I honestly left
- 10:56Speaker 3: it to my faith. I was like, you know, God,
- 10:57Speaker 3: if this is a door that's gonna open, like great,
- 11:01Speaker 3: I will trust you in it.
- 11:02Speaker 2: And if it doesn't, like I'm totally fine.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I feel like we have similar stories in that. Obviously,
- 11:09Speaker 1: you know the show had been going on before you
- 11:11Speaker 1: went on, and you saw my wedding. But I went
- 11:15Speaker 1: into it too, not having any clue, Like I didn't
- 11:17Speaker 1: know what I was doing because it was brand new.
- 11:19Speaker 2: You were the first. Yeah, because I was.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Just relaxed and like, if I want to you know,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I want to travel, I want to meet somebody maybe
- 11:28Speaker 1: and maybe well, like it's very all the things that
- 11:30Speaker 1: you're saying, are like you could just copy paste into
- 11:33Speaker 1: my story.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I feel like I love that. I have never actually
- 11:36Speaker 2: never really thought about that.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Yeah, you didn't have any like blueprint to follow ool,
- 11:43Speaker 3: oh my gosh.
- 11:44Speaker 1: It was just, you know, I wanted to just go
- 11:47Speaker 1: for fun and do something new and travel and meet
- 11:52Speaker 1: people and whatever. Yeah. I love it. I love that. Okay,
- 11:56Speaker 1: do you remember getting out of the limo kind of please?
- 12:00Speaker 1: You have three children, so, mommy brain is a real struggle.
- 12:03Speaker 1: I mean I have two.
- 12:06Speaker 3: I mean I do briefly, like I mean, I mean
- 12:10Speaker 3: I was the last out of the limo.
- 12:12Speaker 1: In my look Okay, well that okay, So for people
- 12:16Speaker 1: who watch the show, you know that the last out
- 12:18Speaker 1: of the limo is usually somebody that they think, this
- 12:21Speaker 1: is the girl who's gonna stay for a long time.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Maybe yeah, I think so the last out of the
- 12:28Speaker 1: limo for sure, first out of the limo, last out
- 12:30Speaker 1: of the limo. Yeah, Ryan was the last out of
- 12:36Speaker 1: the first limo. Yeah, so maybe there's something to that too.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I don't know, but yeah, I don't know.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I to go back. I don't even know. When I
- 12:43Speaker 2: saw Chris, there was so many, it's so overwhelming. I
- 12:45Speaker 2: was just like, oh my gosh, this is.
- 12:47Speaker 1: So much, especially for somebody who is introverted, Like oh yeah,
- 12:54Speaker 1: like the overwhelm of the cameras in the and all
- 12:58Speaker 1: the things.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it wasn't even I didn't actually realize I was
- 13:02Speaker 3: so introverted until the show.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Oh that's really interesting.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, because I mean since, like you know, since like
- 13:08Speaker 3: high school, I was just busy working and I was
- 13:10Speaker 3: always around people, and so I never really thought I
- 13:14Speaker 3: was introverted.
- 13:16Speaker 2: I just didn't know. But the show really helped.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Being on the show, being on the lead part, I realized, like, wow,
- 13:24Speaker 3: like I get overwhelmed super easy when there's just too
- 13:28Speaker 3: much going on, and like I can't like think for myself.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I feel like it's interesting. They just came out with
- 13:34Speaker 1: a new personality type. You know, it's introvert and extrovert
- 13:38Speaker 1: and there's something in the middle. I can't remember what
- 13:41Speaker 1: they called it. And I was like, you know what,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I feel that way too, because I feel like both,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you know, the two of us, whenever we're together in
- 13:49Speaker 1: like a social environment, we're very social people. But I
- 13:53Speaker 1: definitely can like get overwhelmed and need like just to
- 13:56Speaker 1: sit down and be in quiet or watch a show
- 13:59Speaker 1: by myself or what do my laundry? Whatever? So I
- 14:02Speaker 1: feel like there's there's something to that where you're you're
- 14:07Speaker 1: a great extrovert, but you're also a great introvert, like
- 14:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I feel like it's more of like
- 14:13Speaker 2: I can.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Turn it on when I need to, Yeah, but like
- 14:17Speaker 3: deep down, like like after events like I am burnt out,
- 14:23Speaker 3: and I think what helped me too.
- 14:26Speaker 2: I forget when who it was.
- 14:27Speaker 3: It was like a book, but it helped me understand
- 14:30Speaker 3: is like you're either introverted or extroverted depending on how
- 14:33Speaker 3: you recharge. And I think that's so important because I
- 14:37Speaker 3: feel like when people think introverted, they're like, oh, so
- 14:39Speaker 3: you're just like little quiet in the corner. It's not
- 14:42Speaker 3: that it's that I can be social and I can.
- 14:45Speaker 3: I can, you know, turn it on, but like by
- 14:48Speaker 3: the end of the night, I am waxed. I need
- 14:51Speaker 3: to go to bed, and then I probably need like
- 14:54Speaker 3: a whole twenty four hours till I can feel like,
- 14:58Speaker 3: oh okay, like I feel good now.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You know, yeah, and then flash forward to God giving
- 15:03Speaker 1: you three boys.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you guys, I know, especially with this baby
- 15:10Speaker 3: now because like you know, like, okay, I mean my
- 15:13Speaker 3: nervous system is wrecked all day.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Long because I'm like, sure, I'm like, you know.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I have one who loves I have one who just
- 15:22Speaker 3: loves to talk and rap and sing, and and then
- 15:26Speaker 3: the other one's tear being tapping and drumming, and and
- 15:30Speaker 3: then we have the baby, and I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 15:32Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm like, I need to go hide.
- 15:39Speaker 1: You need one of those she sheds? Do you have
- 15:40Speaker 1: one on your property?
- 15:42Speaker 2: I so I.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Need a yes, yes, a little escape.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Yes, Oh my gosh.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Okay, So back to Sean season. Were you and Catherine close?
- 15:59Speaker 1: Like you you went and tell what when did he
- 16:02Speaker 1: send you home?
- 16:03Speaker 2: Fourth?
- 16:04Speaker 3: After hometowns, after my big brother, you know, my brother,
- 16:07Speaker 3: and yes, your brother.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I totally remember. The whole world was like,
- 16:16Speaker 1: why are you being like this?
- 16:18Speaker 3: I know?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Do you still talk to him? I mean, are you
- 16:22Speaker 1: guys close? Yeah?
- 16:24Speaker 3: I mean I wouldn't say we were ever like close,
- 16:26Speaker 3: but yeah we we talk now.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:28Speaker 1: It's good, okay, good, Okay. So you were four.
- 16:31Speaker 3: I was four, So I feel like what happened is
- 16:35Speaker 3: whoever you were in rooms with you kind of gravitated to.
- 16:40Speaker 3: So I actually didn't even get to talk to Catherine
- 16:42Speaker 3: until like week eight.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, like, oh my gosh, yeah, we didn't even like.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Talk because there were there was like so many groups,
- 16:52Speaker 3: little cliques and.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Who was your person, who was your roommate, the other introverts.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Of course, No, I gravitated to Jackie.
- 17:04Speaker 2: She was the redhead, super.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Cute, Okay, yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Yeah Jackie.
- 17:08Speaker 3: And then I actually became really close to Daniella because
- 17:11Speaker 3: she's just like a riot, She's just.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Hilarious, yes, totally, and so she was friends with Catherine and.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Lindsay, and so that's how I started to you know,
- 17:24Speaker 3: talk to them. But when I was just too like
- 17:27Speaker 3: I did not want to deal with any drama or anything.
- 17:30Speaker 3: So I like the first week, I literally when I
- 17:34Speaker 3: saw big groups of girls, you know, crowding around, I
- 17:38Speaker 3: didn't go near it because I was like, I don't
- 17:41Speaker 3: I don't want to get in the gossip and the
- 17:43Speaker 3: like all the stuff. And I'm just a little bit
- 17:46Speaker 3: especially back then, I was a lot more reserved, a
- 17:49Speaker 3: lot more reserved, and so you know, I would talk
- 17:53Speaker 3: if people ask me a question, but I wasn't the
- 17:56Speaker 3: one to just start a conversation like be out there.
- 17:59Speaker 3: And so I, to be honest, I would love to
- 18:02Speaker 3: ask the ladies that were on my show, but I
- 18:05Speaker 3: feel like so many of them like watch the show
- 18:08Speaker 3: back and was like what like because they probably didn't
- 18:11Speaker 3: even really they didn't really know me, you know, from
- 18:15Speaker 3: just the house.
- 18:16Speaker 2: But that's fine, that's the beauty.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Of it's all good. Yeah, it is what it is. Okay,
- 18:22Speaker 1: So after you were eliminated, how soon after did they
- 18:26Speaker 1: start talking to you about the bachelorette? And do you
- 18:30Speaker 1: know if they were talking to anyone else or just you?
- 18:34Speaker 2: I don't know who they were talking to.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I don't have a clue. I wasn't hiding because back then,
- 18:40Speaker 3: you know, they were.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Like, right, they hid you. That was honestly, that was
- 18:47Speaker 2: actually like I just I mean I okay.
- 18:51Speaker 3: So I got eliminated and there was still what you know,
- 18:55Speaker 3: two more weeks or so yep, and so I had
- 18:58Speaker 3: to stay with three Yeah it felt like it felt
- 19:02Speaker 3: like an eternity.
- 19:03Speaker 2: But I had to stay with a handler.
- 19:06Speaker 3: And we went from like Airbnb to Airbnb, and and
- 19:09Speaker 3: I was not in the know.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Like every morning I'm like can I go home?
- 19:14Speaker 3: Like can I please go home like I mean also
- 19:17Speaker 3: at this point, like I'm broke, like I need to
- 19:20Speaker 3: go work, like yeah, so like I felt like this,
- 19:24Speaker 3: like oh my gosh, like I don't know how much
- 19:27Speaker 3: longer I'm going to be here. I also need to
- 19:28Speaker 3: pay my bills and and.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I didn't know. So uh. It was around what the
- 19:34Speaker 2: third airbnb.
- 19:37Speaker 3: That they called me to ask and start talking about
- 19:41Speaker 3: if I ever wanted to.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Be the Bachelorette.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And was it a call from one of the producers
- 19:46Speaker 1: or Mike or or Flice or what.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was from Bennett. So it was
- 19:51Speaker 3: from one of the producers, Yeah, just to like see
- 19:54Speaker 3: what just to like see interesting where I was.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yep.
- 20:01Speaker 3: And at that point, I don't know, I think I
- 20:04Speaker 3: I don't know. I was cautious, I think at that
- 20:06Speaker 3: point because like I was kind of like, you know
- 20:10Speaker 3: it really you know, you really do get caught up.
- 20:13Speaker 3: I wouldn't say I was like I never got to
- 20:15Speaker 3: the love part with Sean. And so it's all worked
- 20:19Speaker 3: out so the way it was supposed to. But still
- 20:25Speaker 3: it's a lot of time to invest in not knowing
- 20:32Speaker 3: what will come, you know, Yeah, as I.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Experienced, right, uh huh, it's a lot of time and
- 20:40Speaker 1: energy and takes up your life for sure.

- 21:17Speaker 5: parking and a fifty dollars resort credit with promo code iHeart.
- 21:20Speaker 4: Visit Hotel portaf you know dot com to book or
- 21:23Speaker 4: call eight zero zero four six eight forty two ninety two.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Okay, so you get back to life. You get asked
- 21:33Speaker 1: to do bachelorette. How are you feeling about doing bachelorette
- 21:38Speaker 1: back then? Were you like, Eh, this isn't going to
- 21:41Speaker 1: work out. I'm just going to do it just because
- 21:43Speaker 1: it's like the continuation or were you feeling like you
- 21:47Speaker 1: had a good chance Because for me, it was like
- 21:50Speaker 1: they knew me, they knew like what I was looking for.
- 21:54Speaker 1: And I've always said, like they're going to find a
- 21:56Speaker 1: guy much easier than just little old me living in Miami, Florida.
- 22:01Speaker 2: You know, yeah, Oh, I mean that's that's a good No.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I wasn't there. No, I was like, you were no.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I mean I lived in LA.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I lived in like first I lived in like Orange County,
- 22:13Speaker 3: and I lived in LA And then I was like,
- 22:15Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 22:16Speaker 2: There wasn't like not to There wasn't a problem of
- 22:20Speaker 2: meeting like lots of people, right, And so I didn't
- 22:24Speaker 2: I don't know. I didn't feel again, and I put
- 22:26Speaker 2: it in God's hands.
- 22:27Speaker 3: But I don't know. I was skeptical, I think because
- 22:31Speaker 3: you you see how like you know, you have to
- 22:35Speaker 3: be super vulnerable and.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And I don't know, I don't know.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I don't know if I was like, yes, I'm doing
- 22:43Speaker 3: it at first, But the more that I thought about it,
- 22:47Speaker 3: I was really open to the idea because I'm like, what,
- 22:51Speaker 3: how awesome, Like maybe my husband is in this batch,
- 22:56Speaker 3: you know, like maybe they will.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Find the right guy.
- 23:00Speaker 3: And you know, I didn't have roots anywhere, so I
- 23:03Speaker 3: was open to moving anywhere as long as there was
- 23:06Speaker 3: like water in the West coast.
- 23:11Speaker 2: But but yeah, I don't know.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I was open to it, and so once I decided,
- 23:16Speaker 3: I was, you know, I was all in. But I
- 23:19Speaker 3: also didn't want to put too much pressure on meeting
- 23:22Speaker 3: my husband in that group, and so I never would say, like,
- 23:28Speaker 3: my husband's in the group, not until yeah, like you know,
- 23:32Speaker 3: it's the first night. I'm like, I don't know if
- 23:34Speaker 3: you're my husband, right?
- 23:36Speaker 1: Yes, that's so funny. Yeah, but you say it like that,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I love it. So I want to know, was when
- 23:46Speaker 1: you saw Chris was it like, ah, I love it
- 23:54Speaker 1: for sight kind of situation or when did you really
- 23:59Speaker 1: think he could be my one?
- 24:01Speaker 2: Yeah? He had the best limo entrant and trance.
- 24:08Speaker 1: What was it? Remind me? I can't remember.
- 24:10Speaker 3: He just got to show his personality. He was super
- 24:12Speaker 3: nervous though, so he was a little shaky. But he
- 24:15Speaker 3: got down on one knee and then said like and
- 24:18Speaker 3: then he said, do you mind?
- 24:20Speaker 2: What did you say?
- 24:22Speaker 3: Do you mind if I'd tie my shoe or something?
- 24:24Speaker 3: And then he said, I just wanted to get off
- 24:26Speaker 3: on the right foot.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Like but it was so funny, it's so cute.
- 24:32Speaker 3: It's so his like quirky personality, and so it was
- 24:37Speaker 3: good because it made me laugh, and you know, I
- 24:40Speaker 3: was super awkward that like standing there just like with
- 24:44Speaker 3: guys coming, I'm like, I.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Don't know what to say. Do I say? You know
- 24:48Speaker 2: what I mean? I was super awkward a lot of times.
- 24:51Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean it's.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Definitely interesting to look back because I'm like, wow, like
- 24:58Speaker 3: not my personality.
- 24:59Speaker 2: To like why did they choose me? But but.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Of course they we know why they chose you. I
- 25:07Speaker 1: mean for all of the reasons. But I mean, I
- 25:10Speaker 1: think it's so funny thinking about it because it really
- 25:12Speaker 1: isn't your like cup of tea, no.
- 25:15Speaker 3: No, but you know, that's what really helped us stay
- 25:18Speaker 3: together and like not focused on what would come next,
- 25:22Speaker 3: but actually just going going to to like our back
- 25:26Speaker 3: to our life and really growing something that wasn't based
- 25:30Speaker 3: off what we can do next.
- 25:31Speaker 2: And I think that helped.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's how it was for me and
- 25:37Speaker 1: Ryan for sure. I feel like that's one of the secrets.
- 25:41Speaker 1: And it's really interesting because you and I and our
- 25:44Speaker 1: hobbies and I think Jojo and Jordan were kind of
- 25:48Speaker 1: the same in that they disappeared and you know, I
- 25:52Speaker 1: feel like they disappeared and went back to their life
- 25:55Speaker 1: and like startup businesses and whatever. I wonder because the
- 26:00Speaker 1: three of us, I don't know if there's any other
- 26:02Speaker 1: bachelorettes who are still married. Obviously Ashley and Rachel got
- 26:06Speaker 1: married and then got divorced, so I don't know if
- 26:08Speaker 1: we're including them. But like, that's really interesting because I
- 26:12Speaker 1: feel like there's something to that, like not focusing on,
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know, the things that are going on in the
- 26:21Speaker 1: whirlwind and really just focusing on your relationship.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I also think what I've noticed too is when both
- 26:29Speaker 3: parties are interested in fame or which is not a
- 26:34Speaker 3: bad thing to want from it, but it's but I mean,
- 26:37Speaker 3: I do see that when both.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Are pursuing that, then you're in competition with each other,
- 26:46Speaker 2: you know.
- 26:46Speaker 3: And it's like because you know, if one's gonna get
- 26:50Speaker 3: mad that the other is getting more attention, And I
- 26:53Speaker 3: don't know, Yep, you would hope.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, you were right. But but the fact
- 26:58Speaker 1: of the matter is that we come off of the
- 26:59Speaker 1: show and we haven't known each other for that long,
- 27:02Speaker 1: so we don't have like that really strong foundation of
- 27:06Speaker 1: you know, a friendship or years of knowing each other.
- 27:09Speaker 1: So yeah, I feel like you really got to buckle
- 27:13Speaker 1: down and get to know each other. Oh yeah, okay,
- 27:17Speaker 1: so have you heard because well, I guess first of all,
- 27:21Speaker 1: I should talk about the fact that you just did
- 27:23Speaker 1: like a major social media cleanse, So tell us about
- 27:26Speaker 1: that you were you were off, like are you feeling lighter?
- 27:29Speaker 6: And yeah, so I'm not a huge like browser or anything,
- 27:35Speaker 6: but it's still like there's still so much poll, right,
- 27:39Speaker 6: like even just having it on your phone and just
- 27:42Speaker 6: having and if you are posting, then there's even more
- 27:44Speaker 6: poll because you're like checking.
- 27:47Speaker 4: And no.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I just felt led for the summer to take off
- 27:51Speaker 3: social media, and so I was only gonna do two
- 27:53Speaker 3: months and then it turned into four months because I
- 27:56Speaker 3: got so good at it, and then I.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Don't know, yeah, I mean it felt great. Honestly, it
- 28:02Speaker 2: was amazing.
- 28:03Speaker 3: Like Chris would be like, you know, stuff happened in
- 28:06Speaker 3: the world, and you know, I'd.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Be so like what you know, and just live in.
- 28:11Speaker 1: My life, and I'm just gonna live in my life.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I loved it because.
- 28:14Speaker 3: I yeah, I loved it because you know, I I
- 28:17Speaker 3: am also very empathetic, so like even reading people's like
- 28:21Speaker 3: hard stories, like I would find myself thinking about that
- 28:25Speaker 3: the next day, or like you're and I'm like, why
- 28:28Speaker 3: am I carrying everybody's like stuff when I need to
- 28:31Speaker 3: be focusing on my family, my marriage, myself.
- 28:37Speaker 2: And I don't know. It was beautiful.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I honestly recommend it to anybody because it just created
- 28:43Speaker 3: a new intention and you can have both.
- 28:47Speaker 2: And I think that's the key.
- 28:49Speaker 3: You don't have to break helps get you started, but
- 28:53Speaker 3: you can have a healthy relationship with social media. You know,
- 28:57Speaker 3: you just can't let it boss you around and you know,
- 29:00Speaker 3: control your impulses and control your thoughts and control everything.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Reach ah.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Man, I just wish that I could do it, I know,
- 29:14Speaker 1: because you know, it is my job and so or
- 29:18Speaker 1: one of my jobs, and so I yeah, it's so hard.
- 29:23Speaker 1: It's so hard because I get caught up in the
- 29:26Speaker 1: in the scroll. And then also you know, with my
- 29:30Speaker 1: kid being a senior, like I literally just finished this,
- 29:33Speaker 1: like I got nominated to post ten pictures for ten
- 29:36Speaker 1: days or whatever, you know, a senior, and so it
- 29:39Speaker 1: just got me like on my phone all the time
- 29:43Speaker 1: because I'm going down the rabbit hole of looking for
- 29:45Speaker 1: pictures and video and you know all the things. And
- 29:48Speaker 1: with him like graduating soon, like we're going to have
- 29:51Speaker 1: to like pull up pictures and take pictures all the things. Right, So, yes,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I have found myself glued to my phone. I really
- 29:59Speaker 1: need to disconnect.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Yeah, the biggest tip that I like, that helped for
- 30:03Speaker 3: me because we we've been doing it for years, so
- 30:07Speaker 3: it's a habit. Like you literally pick up your phone
- 30:09Speaker 3: and your son goes like right there and you're like,
- 30:11Speaker 3: I didn't even mean to so for me because I am,
- 30:17Speaker 3: my photos are right next to Instagram, and so when
- 30:20Speaker 3: I felt that impulse, I would go to my photos
- 30:23Speaker 3: and look at albums from the boys when they were little,
- 30:26Speaker 3: and oh my gosh, it created like this new gratitude
- 30:31Speaker 3: for my life in the present because I would look
- 30:34Speaker 3: back and just be so moved, you.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Know, by like when they were babies, or even just
- 30:41Speaker 2: Chris and I and we look like babies.
- 30:42Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my gosh, Like it was so worth it,
- 30:46Speaker 3: right because I spent say, like you're like, I spent
- 30:50Speaker 3: thirty minutes scrolling my family, you know, getting filled with
- 30:54Speaker 3: like newfound gratitude for my life or I could you know,
- 31:00Speaker 3: you know, scroll Instagram and is that what does that do.
- 31:04Speaker 2: For my brain?
- 31:06Speaker 1: Oh? I don't even want to think about it. I
- 31:09Speaker 1: know Okay, let's get onto a new topic. So okay,
- 31:13Speaker 1: so since you had the social media like break cleanse whatever,
- 31:17Speaker 1: we were calling it, genius idea, Uh, you might not
- 31:23Speaker 1: know about the next bachelorette. Do you know who the
- 31:26Speaker 1: next bachelorette is?
- 31:27Speaker 2: I did hear?
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:28Speaker 2: What's her name?
- 31:29Speaker 1: Taylor Taylor, Taylor, Frankie, Paul frank.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I was gonna say Taylor Paul Frankie, Taylor, Taylor, Frankie Paul.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Yeap. She is from the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Have you do you know who she is? Have you
- 31:44Speaker 1: watched the show before?
- 31:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 31:46Speaker 2: I know who she is and the gist I guess of.
- 31:51Speaker 3: What the whole show was about, and like the sex scandal,
- 31:54Speaker 3: and I think she got another divorce, was it?
- 31:59Speaker 2: Okay?
- 32:00Speaker 3: Yep?
- 32:00Speaker 2: I think I have the biography.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Down, got it? So what are your thoughts?
- 32:07Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, I can see why they need.
- 32:10Speaker 3: They want someone to revive the show and to create
- 32:14Speaker 3: that buzz.
- 32:16Speaker 2: So I think that's great. I think that's wonderful. I
- 32:18Speaker 2: think she will bring that.
- 32:21Speaker 3: I don't know her personally, Like I don't watch the show,
- 32:24Speaker 3: so I don't actually know what kind.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Of drama ensues.
- 32:28Speaker 3: But I will say we did have a friend that
- 32:29Speaker 3: was being pursued to be the Bachelor because they were
- 32:32Speaker 3: also going to revive The Bachelor, and so they were
- 32:36Speaker 3: eyeing people who might have you know, they.
- 32:38Speaker 2: Were going to do a new Bachelor, and.
- 32:42Speaker 3: You know, then they were like they called them back, like, oh, like,
- 32:44Speaker 3: we're not going to pursue that because did you see
- 32:47Speaker 3: who we have for bachelorette?
- 32:49Speaker 2: And he's like yeah, and then they're like, would you
- 32:52Speaker 2: like to be on?
- 32:53Speaker 3: And you know, I think what it comes down to
- 32:57Speaker 3: is if there's wife material there, yep, because like our
- 33:01Speaker 3: friends like, no, absolutely not.
- 33:03Speaker 2: But you know that's where I'm like, I don't know.
- 33:06Speaker 3: What kind of pool of guys we're going to see
- 33:09Speaker 3: and yell, serious they're going to be because of course
- 33:13Speaker 3: they don't want a dater of course.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah, she's gorgeous, Yeah, and she's funny, and you know
- 33:20Speaker 1: she's if you are drawn to fame at all, she's
- 33:23Speaker 1: famous and you know all of these things. So yeah,
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm very interested. Ben and I for almost Famous did
- 33:31Speaker 1: a podcast when when it was announced, and I have
- 33:34Speaker 1: the very same like same sentiments like I'm just interested
- 33:38Speaker 1: to see I think it was a good idea to
- 33:42Speaker 1: pull someone from another show who already has a fan base,
- 33:45Speaker 1: who's not from The Bachelor a Bachelorette. But I am
- 33:49Speaker 1: really interested to see who the guys are going to
- 33:51Speaker 1: be and and what the support is going to be
- 33:55Speaker 1: because a lot of people I feel like, we're like, no,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I'm not going to watch because you know, she's had
- 34:05Speaker 1: she has a history, Like I guess she was accused
- 34:10Speaker 1: of domestic violence. I think she was in jail, and yeah,
- 34:16Speaker 1: she has She's had a couple, she's had. I think
- 34:18Speaker 1: she has three kids, maybe with maybe two different I
- 34:21Speaker 1: don't know her bio as well as I probably should,
- 34:25Speaker 1: but regardless, I'm like, she's one of us. Okay, one divorce.
- 34:28Speaker 1: She's had one divorce, and yeah, I don't know her,
- 34:35Speaker 1: but I feel like everyone deserves love and forgiveness, and
- 34:41Speaker 1: so if she is serious about it and it's going
- 34:46Speaker 1: to be entertaining, then why not do it? Like I'm
- 34:49Speaker 1: I'm going to welcome her with open arms to our chick.
- 34:52Speaker 2: I think it's going to be extremely entertaining.
- 34:54Speaker 3: And I think that's why it is a good choice,
- 34:56Speaker 3: because if that's you know, it's going to be.
- 35:00Speaker 1: She's unapologetic to who she is, Like she's like, listen,
- 35:04Speaker 1: this is me and this is who I'm going to be.
- 35:06Speaker 1: And I have a lot of respect for that. Like
- 35:08Speaker 1: I agree, like me or not, this is who I am.
- 35:12Speaker 1: So whatever.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I love it. I think that's great. Yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 2: I'll be interested to see the guys.
- 35:18Speaker 1: I know me too. Okay, So what would you give
- 35:33Speaker 1: her in terms of advice from you know, me and you?
- 35:36Speaker 1: It's funny because I get this question and I'm like,
- 35:39Speaker 1: our world has changed so much and I don't even
- 35:42Speaker 1: know if the advice that I would give is applicable
- 35:45Speaker 1: because it was so long ago. I mean twenty almost
- 35:51Speaker 1: by almost twenty five years ago.
- 35:54Speaker 2: That's incredible. So you guys are awesome. You guys are goals.
- 35:59Speaker 2: That's a goal. I love it.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Thank you so cute every day. But so I feel
- 36:07Speaker 1: like the advice that I would give is maybe a
- 36:10Speaker 1: little irrelevant. But what would you say something that might
- 36:13Speaker 1: help her in her journey?
- 36:15Speaker 2: Yeah? It is, It is true.
- 36:17Speaker 3: I mean they have to navigate a like we I
- 36:20Speaker 3: did navigate social media when it was like brand new,
- 36:23Speaker 3: and people were like, I'm so excited to just tell
- 36:26Speaker 3: you everything that they thought about you.
- 36:29Speaker 2: But I feel like, you know, they grew That sounds
- 36:32Speaker 2: so crazy.
- 36:32Speaker 3: They grew up in this world social media.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Oh my god, how old is that?
- 36:39Speaker 6: I know?
- 36:39Speaker 1: But oh I know right well, you look amazing by
- 36:44Speaker 1: the way, Oh you're sissy, You look amazing. You have
- 36:46Speaker 1: not changed a bit.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I honestly it's hard to say.
- 36:52Speaker 3: It's so hard to say, because I would say, you know,
- 36:54Speaker 3: put your like, put your relationship first.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Like, But for saying like advice for the show, because.
- 37:02Speaker 1: No advice for her like in her journey on Bachelorette.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I think she's got it because she's been on
- 37:08Speaker 3: reality TV. I don't think she needs advice on being
- 37:12Speaker 3: on the show. I think she's gonna kill it and
- 37:15Speaker 3: be awesome to watch. In terms of relationship though, yeah,
- 37:19Speaker 3: I think that if she's really.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Serious about the guy, to truly focus on that.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Yeah, agreed, Yeah, great advice. Do you talk to any
- 37:29Speaker 1: of the guys from your season obviously besides your husband?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Yeah, we used to stay in touch with quite a few,
- 37:36Speaker 3: but you know, life everyone started having kids and you know,
- 37:39Speaker 3: life happened. But yeah, we I mean we stayed Chris
- 37:42Speaker 3: stayed in touch with like the four that he kind
- 37:45Speaker 3: of hung out with.
- 37:46Speaker 1: But yeah, now we no, not really.
- 37:50Speaker 3: No, not unless people came up to Seattle when we
- 37:52Speaker 3: were in Seattle, then maybe we would see them.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Okay, And Chris never watched the show? Is that still true?
- 37:59Speaker 2: He was the show, He just didn't he watched the show.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Oh I thought he never watched it.
- 38:05Speaker 2: No, he watched it. Yeah, he watched the show. I
- 38:08Speaker 2: would watch ahead of.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Time, and sometimes I'd be like I would just warn him,
- 38:12Speaker 3: you know, like, oh, got it, maybe you shouldn't watch
- 38:15Speaker 3: this episode or like watch it knowing him He watched
- 38:19Speaker 3: it regardless, but I would just say, like, you know,
- 38:23Speaker 3: this might be one you could sit out.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Got it.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Maybe that's what I'm getting wrong is maybe there was
- 38:29Speaker 1: an episode that he didn't watch.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Probably yeadly.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Okay, So will you or have you shown the boys
- 38:37Speaker 1: any of the show And do they understand that that's
- 38:41Speaker 1: where you met?
- 38:42Speaker 2: No, so not yet. And so this is it's funny
- 38:45Speaker 2: because this is like.
- 38:46Speaker 3: We're on the cusp of that where Yeah, I actually
- 38:50Speaker 3: just told Chris like the other week, like I think
- 38:53Speaker 3: it's time, like we really need to, you know, sit
- 38:56Speaker 3: down with them and talk to them, because I mean
- 38:58Speaker 3: but you know what, because we live in a world
- 39:00Speaker 3: of social media and podcast and Chris's work is very
- 39:04Speaker 3: like sales, so he puts himself out there.
- 39:07Speaker 2: I don't think they understand that.
- 39:09Speaker 3: They know that people might come up to us, but
- 39:11Speaker 3: you know, mom has a podcast or had a podcast.
- 39:14Speaker 2: And dad does this, so it doesn't.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Ring a bell that like, oh, it might be something bigger,
- 39:20Speaker 3: so we'll see.
- 39:21Speaker 2: I don't know, We're gonna have.
- 39:22Speaker 1: To kind of see I might be in the works.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Do they know, like I assume that when you're traveling,
- 39:29Speaker 1: because I feel like when we're traveling that way, you
- 39:32Speaker 1: get asked the most to have pictures taken. Do they
- 39:35Speaker 1: have they started to sense like, well, that's weird. Why
- 39:39Speaker 1: would that person who we've never met before or want
- 39:41Speaker 1: a picture of my mom and dad?
- 39:43Speaker 3: I know. I think my my oldest has always been
- 39:46Speaker 3: so inquisitive and like observing, so he always would just
- 39:51Speaker 3: be like looking at them. But again I don't think
- 39:54Speaker 3: he I think because of their world of YouTube and
- 39:57Speaker 3: their world of podcasts, like I think they I just
- 40:00Speaker 3: don't think anything's.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Weird totally, and they don't need to right now. That's
- 40:06Speaker 1: totally fine. I just didn't know if they were kind
- 40:08Speaker 1: of clued into it yet or have asked you. No,
- 40:11Speaker 1: they why is that person taking a picture?
- 40:14Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 40:14Speaker 3: Quite honestly, I'm really surprised that they haven't heard from
- 40:17Speaker 3: someone else.
- 40:18Speaker 1: But you know, well, that's what I was wondering, because
- 40:21Speaker 1: I feel like they're getting old enough to have friends
- 40:25Speaker 1: who are like, hey, my mom was just saying this,
- 40:29Speaker 1: or we saw you on my computer or whatever, you
- 40:33Speaker 1: know whatever, Yeah, whatever it is. Yeah, I really it's coming.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I think it's coming.
- 40:39Speaker 3: I think we're gonna sit down with them soon so
- 40:43Speaker 3: that they know so it's not like an awkward thing.
- 40:46Speaker 1: But yeah, wait, you're famous. People know who you are.
- 40:52Speaker 1: And I hate using the word famous, but yeah, but
- 40:56Speaker 1: people know who you are. Like that's great.
- 40:59Speaker 3: I know I'm at the because it's been thirteen years now,
- 41:02Speaker 3: so yeah, I'm at the place.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Of like did we go to school together? How do
- 41:07Speaker 2: I know you? I know you from somewhere.
- 41:11Speaker 1: That is always my go to.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I would love to take a poll on like when
- 41:18Speaker 3: someone says that, do they do they prefer if I
- 41:22Speaker 3: just tell them like, oh, well did you watch the Bachelorette?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Or would they prefer I.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Didn't say anything and then it's just as it's the
- 41:31Speaker 3: same awkwardness, Like I don't know, maybe I guess could
- 41:33Speaker 3: do a plan.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Now, because I do kind of half and half. Like
- 41:37Speaker 1: there are times when I'm like, I'm just going to
- 41:39Speaker 1: say it because it seems like they're going to be
- 41:41Speaker 1: annoyed if they can't figure it out, and then I'm
- 41:44Speaker 1: like other times I'm like, oh, really I look familiar. Well, okay, great,
- 41:49Speaker 1: yeah I must look like one of your friends or something.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be like I have a very familiar face exactly.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I have said that so often. Yes, so true, I
- 41:59Speaker 1: did have someone since you were off of social media,
- 42:03Speaker 1: maybe wouldn't have seen this and not that like with
- 42:05Speaker 1: the algorithm rory them and everything. We've been following each
- 42:08Speaker 1: other for hours, but I still don't see everyone's stuff.
- 42:12Speaker 1: But I was talking about how I was playing pickupball
- 42:15Speaker 1: the other day and a ball came onto my court
- 42:18Speaker 1: with this lady came over to get her ball and
- 42:20Speaker 1: she was like, oh my gosh, you're the bachelorette. And
- 42:23Speaker 1: I was like, oh hi, how are you, and she goes,
- 42:27Speaker 1: I am so old. I watched your show and I
- 42:31Speaker 1: was like, wait a second.
- 42:34Speaker 2: You're like you're not okay.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Literally, I was like, whoa, Okay. I mean, I know
- 42:45Speaker 1: you're not intending to insult me, but or call me old.
- 42:50Speaker 1: That's not the intention. She was super sweet, but I
- 42:53Speaker 1: was kind of like, well, like, I don't want to
- 42:56Speaker 1: be called old. It's the same thing. I'm sure you've
- 42:59Speaker 1: gotten this before where people are like, oh, you look
- 43:03Speaker 1: so much better than you did on television or whatever.
- 43:06Speaker 3: To say that I was I was just gonna say that,
- 43:08Speaker 3: I was gonna say in the beginning.
- 43:10Speaker 2: In the beginning, right off the show, they'd be like, oh,
- 43:13Speaker 2: you're I.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Don't I don't know if they said so much prettier
- 43:16Speaker 3: than like or but or they said even prettier.
- 43:20Speaker 2: But I still was like, well.
- 43:23Speaker 1: That's rude because I'm the same person whether I'm on
- 43:28Speaker 1: I'm on television or in real life. Like, I'm the
- 43:30Speaker 1: same person. So you're literally criticizing me, yeah, while giving
- 43:34Speaker 1: me a compliment at the same time.
- 43:36Speaker 2: That's so funny, I don't.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I mean, people have great intentions, and I feel like
- 43:41Speaker 1: I if I was meeting someone that I not looked
- 43:46Speaker 1: up to is not the right word, but that I
- 43:48Speaker 1: watched in my living room and felt like I knew them,
- 43:50Speaker 1: then I would definitely feel flustered. So I don't hold
- 43:53Speaker 1: it against them, but I am like, yeah, it makes
- 43:56Speaker 1: me think more about what I say to people.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Right, I agree with that Ross Yeah.
- 44:02Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, So what are you going to do for
- 44:06Speaker 1: Noah's birthday? Any plans?
- 44:09Speaker 2: No plans.
- 44:11Speaker 3: I wanted to just keep a small family a smash cake,
- 44:15Speaker 3: and then the boys are like, we need balloons and
- 44:18Speaker 3: friends over and can we have like a bounce house?
- 44:22Speaker 2: And like, oh my gosh, that's like that's your birthday.
- 44:25Speaker 1: That's a birthday, yes, right, remember it? He's one. Yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 1: that's cute. Okay, last thing before I let you go,
- 44:36Speaker 1: please tell us about your book.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well I wrote I wrote too.
- 44:42Speaker 3: So the first one was okay, tell us about both
- 44:45Speaker 3: on twenty two I don't even know when, and that
- 44:49Speaker 3: was Road to Roses And so that's more of a
- 44:51Speaker 3: biography of like how I got in the show my
- 44:54Speaker 3: feelings towards that. Actually I feel like it like walks
- 44:58Speaker 3: through my whole entire dating history, which is quite interesting,
- 45:01Speaker 3: I guess. But it's funny because that was what four
- 45:04Speaker 3: years ago I wrote it, and I'm like, so much
- 45:06Speaker 3: has already changed in like what you would you know,
- 45:09Speaker 3: put out there, But yeah, it's my journey to motherhood
- 45:14Speaker 3: and so that's much more personal about me. And then
- 45:18Speaker 3: what I wrote Faith Unlocked, which is to help people
- 45:22Speaker 3: walk through their faith journey. Yeah, whether they're just getting
- 45:26Speaker 3: started or seasoned believer, just to get closer to amazing.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Does it come with like a workbook?
- 45:32Speaker 2: I have a.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Workbook that you can download on my website to go
- 45:35Speaker 3: with it. So it's actually like, yeah, I love it.
- 45:39Speaker 3: I really love like the inner healing of stuff. So
- 45:41Speaker 3: it's like really healing heart wounds, brokenness, you know, all
- 45:46Speaker 3: that stuff.
- 45:47Speaker 2: So that's great.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, that's exciting. And are you designing it
- 45:53Speaker 1: all anymore? No?
- 45:55Speaker 3: I laid that down to do homeschool and so it
- 45:58Speaker 3: was perfect timing though I was ready by that point, and.
- 46:03Speaker 2: So yeah, it's so crazy. Eventually, I think, you know, later.
- 46:06Speaker 3: In life, I still plan to design or have a
- 46:09Speaker 3: have a little like bridal boutique.
- 46:11Speaker 2: I think I would love that.
- 46:12Speaker 1: Oh totally. I mean, girl, I with my kids almost gone,
- 46:17Speaker 1: it's like you question what you're gonna do after they're
- 46:22Speaker 1: after they're gone, And that's definitely something that I'm thinking
- 46:26Speaker 1: about so gosh, if you have that in your back
- 46:28Speaker 1: pocket and you've already done it, that'd be perfect.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so that'll be exciting when that time comes.
- 46:34Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 46:35Speaker 2: In like twenty years, exactly.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Almost twenty years, it'll go by like that. Don't blink, Okay.
- 46:44Speaker 1: It is always so much fun in catching up and
- 46:47Speaker 1: you see your beautiful face. Give Chris a hug for me,
- 46:50Speaker 1: and hopefully I'll get to see you sometime soon.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Yeah, hopefully someone will get married or something. Give us
- 46:57Speaker 3: a reason, right, is the reason I'll.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Get together again. That would be so great.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Thank you for coming on the almost famous o G
- 47:08Speaker 1: Podcast
