Good morning. This is the Sacramento Brief, your
• 0:08
weekday roundup of overnight headlines and what's
• 0:11
ahead across the city. I'm Carol. It's Monday,
• 0:15
November 24th, 2025. Let's get you caught up.
• 0:19
I have an update to an October 25th hit and run
• 0:23
near Florin Road and 24th Street that left one
• 0:25
person dead. After weeks of detailed follow -up,
• 0:29
  major collision investigators identified, located,
• 0:33
and arrested 41 -year -old Jeffrey Haenngi of
• 0:36
Sacramento. He now faces felony hit -and -run
• 0:39
charges along with multiple firearms -related
• 0:42
charges and was booked into the Sacramento County
• 0:45
Main Jail. And while detectives were closing
• 0:49
in on that case, officers were dealing with a
• 0:52
very different scene in South Sacramento yesterday.
• 0:57
  responded around 11 .30 a .m. Sunday to a domestic
• 1:01
violence call in the 6200 block of Martin Luther
• 1:04
King Jr. Boulevard. The suspect was believed
• 1:07
to be armed and barricaded inside an apartment.
• 1:09
Sacramento police coordinated with the sheriff's
• 1:12
office SWAT team as the situation unfolded. Listening
• 1:16
to scanner traffic, it was unclear as to whether
• 1:19
they eventually detained anyone. In City Watch,
• 1:23
SAC -RT is hiring a full -time mechanic, eh?
• 1:27
Starting between $34 and $43 an hour, the role
• 1:31
includes diagnostic repairs, field calls on buses
• 1:34
and support vehicles. Candidates need a high
• 1:38
school diploma and either four years journey
• 1:42
level experience or a certified vocational program,
• 1:46
plus the ability to obtain a Class B license
• 1:49
within 90 days. Applications are open through
• 1:52
December 15th. Check that out at sacrt .com.
• 1:56
Today we're starting off the weather with a low
• 1:59
of 45 and it'll be a foggy start and giving away
• 2:03
to sun and a high of about 60 degrees. In events,
• 2:08
SMUD’s Art Gallery is celebrating Sacramento's
