- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Hey, let's
- 0:08Speaker 1: take some calls. Let's go to Josh in Boston. Josh,
- 0:12Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:14Speaker 2: Oh, hi, Mark.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Oh, it's the Buchanan guy. You can hear the accent. No,
- 0:20Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 0:21Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 0:22Speaker 1: You're trying to sound New England-ish. That New York accent,
- 0:25Speaker 1: you can't hide that for a second. Let's go to...
- 0:28Speaker 1: James in Manhattan. James, how you doing?
- 0:32Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Mark.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yes, James.
- 0:36Speaker 4: I got a request.
- 0:38Speaker 3: I'm glad that you referred to, I think, Schumer and
- 0:41Speaker 3: Biden as low lives. But I'd like for you to
- 0:45Speaker 3: stop using the word crazy and lunatics to describe them
- 0:48Speaker 3: all and use the correct word that I think, and
- 0:50Speaker 3: it's evil.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Well, I use that word a lot on them.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Oh, I usually hear you say crazy.
- 0:57Speaker 1: You got some kind of filter. You only hear half
- 0:59Speaker 1: of what I say, but let's go to Peter in
- 1:01Speaker 1: Long Island. Peter, how you doing?
- 1:05Speaker 5: I'm doing well, Mark. Thanks for taking my call. I
- 1:08Speaker 5: asked your screener about the warfare cases against Trump. I
- 1:12Speaker 5: know the ones with Jack Smith have been dropped, but
- 1:16Speaker 5: what's happening with the Peter James and Alvin Bragg?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Oh, that's a good question. Very good question. Thanks for asking.
- 1:22Speaker 1: They've been stalled and delayed by Hochul. And the Democrats,
- 1:27Speaker 1: because there's actually no conviction. He's not a convicted felon.
- 1:30Speaker 1: He's not convicted of anything because technically, technically, you're not
- 1:35Speaker 1: actually convicted until the judge has done the sentencing. And
- 1:38Speaker 1: that's never happened. All the cases against Trump are ridiculously fabricated.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Our greatest legal scholars, even Democrat Alan Dershowitz, has said
- 1:49Speaker 1: he's read the charges a hundred times and he can't
- 1:52Speaker 1: figure out what the hell the crime is. There's nothing there.
- 1:54Speaker 1: They will all be tossed out on appeal. When it
- 1:57Speaker 1: goes to a real court, they'll all be tossed out. Now,
- 2:00Speaker 1: you're saying it's two years, two and a half. Why
- 2:02Speaker 1: isn't it going to a real court? Because the Democrats
- 2:05Speaker 1: are holding it up. Normally, when you appeal, it happens
- 2:07Speaker 1: within a few months, at the most a year. But
- 2:11Speaker 1: they control the judges. They control the court process in
- 2:14Speaker 1: New York. And they have held up the appeals. They
- 2:17Speaker 1: will not let it go to appeal yet because it
- 2:19Speaker 1: will get tossed out. He should actually make an issue
- 2:22Speaker 1: out of that. He should push that a lot more.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Let's go to Chris in Montreal. Chris, how are you doing?
- 2:28Speaker 3: I'm okay, thanks, Mark.
- 2:30Speaker 1: How are you doing?
- 2:31Speaker 4: Good.
- 2:31Speaker 2: The weekend?
- 2:33Speaker 1: The weekend? It's still on. It's not over. The weekend
- 2:35Speaker 1: ends on Wednesday.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Yeah, listen, on Ukraine and stuff, I'm totally embarrassed by Trump.
- 2:43Speaker 6: I mean, even if he's not in Putin's pocket, what
- 2:46Speaker 6: he does makes it look like he is.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It's very hard to defend. You've got to remember, you're
- 2:50Speaker 1: a panic, and you always, everything bothers you. There's nobody,
- 2:55Speaker 1: no voter, no normal American cares about this. This is
- 2:58Speaker 1: like an MS Now issue. Nobody actually cares about this.
- 3:02Speaker 6: The oil depots that Zelensky's been hitting are legitimate military targets.
- 3:07Speaker 6: It's hurting them.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. But right now we don't.
- 3:11Speaker 6: If they stop doing it and then turn around and
- 3:13Speaker 6: buy oil from Russia, us, it looks like Trump's in
- 3:18Speaker 6: Putin's pocket.
- 3:19Speaker 1: No, it doesn't. Only to an MSNBC viewer.
- 3:23Speaker 6: I'm not watching MSNBC.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But you're always a panic and you're a great reverse
- 3:28Speaker 1: barometer of everything because whatever you predict never happens. The
- 3:33Speaker 1: only reason he's doing this with Putin, he'd like to
- 3:35Speaker 1: get the price of diesel down. It's the funniest thing
- 3:37Speaker 1: in the world. Democrats yelling and screaming and screaming, get
- 3:41Speaker 1: the price of diesel down. The price of diesel is
- 3:43Speaker 1: the most important thing. Well, Zelensky blowing up diesel refineries
- 3:48Speaker 1: is driving the price up. So he asked him to
- 3:50Speaker 1: stop for a couple of weeks. Zelensky wouldn't listen. This
- 3:54Speaker 1: Trump is in Putin's pocket. How long is that now?
- 3:57Speaker 1: They've been doing that 10 years. There's no there's nobody
- 4:03Speaker 1: that hates Putin more than Trump and there's nobody hates
- 4:06Speaker 1: Putin hates Trump more than Putin. They are not in
- 4:09Speaker 1: anybody's pocket. Let's go to Joe in Lincoln Park. Joe,
- 4:13Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 4:15Speaker 4: And I'm so glad you're on for three hours. It
- 4:17Speaker 4: gives me three hours of common sense and peace and
- 4:20Speaker 4: hearing the facts. Hey, I'm a registered voter. I'm out
- 4:24Speaker 4: of the country. I called Morristown for, you know, absentee ballot.
- 4:29Speaker 4: They checked me out. I'm a registered voter. They send
- 4:32Speaker 4: me an application. I fill out the application. They send
- 4:35Speaker 4: me back the absentee ballot. Where are these absentee ballots
- 4:38Speaker 4: coming from? If you're not a registered voter, you can't
- 4:42Speaker 4: get an absentee ballot. Help me on this.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You want me to help you? I don't know. It's
- 4:46Speaker 1: New Jersey. You're crazy over there in New Jersey as
- 4:48Speaker 1: far as your government.
- 4:51Speaker 4: I'm in the red side of New Jersey.
- 4:53Speaker 1: No, I know, but it's New Jersey. It's New Jersey government.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Just go in person and vote if you can't get
- 5:01Speaker 1: the absentee ballot. Just show up somewhere and get it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I wouldn't trust New Jersey and their absentee ballots anywhere. Hey,
- 5:08Speaker 1: that guy said peaceful, right? That's one thing about this show.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I don't know if it's common sense. We try to be,
- 5:13Speaker 1: but It's a peaceful show. No yelling, no screaming. You
- 5:18Speaker 1: know how you listen to, I've been listening to some hosts.
- 5:20Speaker 1: They're usually newcomers. They're not really radio hosts. They're trying to,
- 5:23Speaker 1: all of a sudden somebody puts them on the radio.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They're always yelling. They think you got to yell to
- 5:28Speaker 1: make your point. You know what they make? When they
- 5:30Speaker 1: try to, they talk to you like this and they're always,
- 5:32Speaker 1: as Churchill said, people scream when they got nothing to say.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You can talk normally. It's radio. You don't yell on
- 5:41Speaker 1: the radio. It's not like TV. When the viewer is
- 5:45Speaker 1: watching television, he's across the room. He's 15 feet away
- 5:49Speaker 1: on the couch. When they're listening to the radio, it's
- 5:52Speaker 1: right in their ear or it's in the car and
- 5:56Speaker 1: the speaker is like a foot and a half from them.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Don't yell at them on the radio. Let's go to
- 6:02Speaker 1: Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how are you doing?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. Mark, I'm okay. As you well know,
- 6:07Speaker 2: being in show business, sometimes optics and the perception matter
- 6:13Speaker 2: and mean more than the actual reality. What the gentleman
- 6:18Speaker 2: two calls ago said about Trump here and there making
- 6:22Speaker 2: complimentary statements about Putin. Putin's a degenerate. People that I
- 6:28Speaker 2: don't like and that I have to do business with,
- 6:31Speaker 2: I don't make complimentary statements.
- 6:34Speaker 1: That's a different kind of business. This is politics. It works.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It actually works. It worked on the nut job in
- 6:41Speaker 1: North Korea, Kim Jong-un.
- 6:43Speaker 2: All right. Trump didn't want to sell Zelensky to Tomahawk
- 6:48Speaker 2: Missiles because they had a greater range that could have
- 6:51Speaker 2: reached right into Moscow. They had a 1,500-mile range. Putin,
- 6:57Speaker 2: Zelensky made his own, which have a bigger payload, cost
- 7:03Speaker 2: one half the amount. And there's no perception problem there.
- 7:08Speaker 2: I don't see why Zelensky should put a bomb right
- 7:13Speaker 2: in Red Square. I know, but you've.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Got to remember, Trump right now, he doesn't want the
- 7:18Speaker 1: oil refineries blown up because it'll drive the pressure.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Well, Zelensky, if you're listening... Blow all of them up.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, that's, of course, Zelensky wants to do it.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But it's like, let me put it in terms you
- 7:30Speaker 1: can maybe relate to. When Michael Corleone said about Hyman Roth,
- 7:34Speaker 1: Don't go after him. I have business with Hyman Roth.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Leave him alone right now.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It's that kind of thing. Yeah, and then a couple
- 7:40Speaker 2: episodes later, the guy shot him in the airport when
- 7:44Speaker 2: he was trying to come back after Israel true-matted the country.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Very good point. Excellent point. Vincent, thanks for calling. We'll
- 7:53Speaker 1: get all the latest news, because when we come back,
- 7:55Speaker 1: we've got the greatest columnist in the world. Michael Goodwin
- 7:58Speaker 1: will be with us next on 710WOR.
