- 0:02Speaker 1: What's up, dude?
- 0:02Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm good. I guys do really good.
- 0:07Speaker 3: How's life right now? So we've talked in the off
- 0:10Speaker 3: season about the back to back titles and you get
- 0:12Speaker 3: to celebrate some of that to start the year. But
- 0:15Speaker 3: it just seems like there's a lot going on. It's
- 0:17Speaker 3: like a movie out there every single night. And last
- 0:20Speaker 3: night was our Tani's debut and the Yoshi babble, and
- 0:24Speaker 3: you know, people are probably lined up in the morning
- 0:27Speaker 3: before Whale, before the players are even getting to the ballpark.
- 0:29Speaker 3: So what's life like for you? Do you feel like
- 0:32Speaker 3: it's a movie star kind of life. I don't know
- 0:38Speaker 3: about movies star kind of life. It's you know, it's
- 0:40Speaker 3: just a it's a it's a lot going on. But
- 0:42Speaker 3: we're getting close to being, you know, into the daily routine.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Uh.
- 0:46Speaker 3: You know.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, we had the opening ceremonies and everything, the ring
- 0:50Speaker 2: and the jersey. Uh, and then we have all the
- 0:53Speaker 2: bubbleheads for the series, and then we have an opening
- 0:55Speaker 2: day in DC and then Toronto be the World Series rematch.
- 0:59Speaker 2: But once we get past to be you know, kind
- 1:01Speaker 2: of groundhog Day for the next six months, and you know,
- 1:04Speaker 2: I think all the guys are looking forward.
- 1:05Speaker 1: To that a little bit.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You get so used to just having your routine that
- 1:09Speaker 2: you know you're ready to show up every single day
- 1:12Speaker 2: and just go back your business and not have to
- 1:14Speaker 2: have any of the extra stuff along with it.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You talk all the time about everybody on this team
- 1:21Speaker 4: knows what they need to do, knows where they need
- 1:23Speaker 4: to be, all that stuff. But now you're the longest
- 1:25Speaker 4: tenured Dodger. Is there some kind of like metal or
- 1:30Speaker 4: like the fact, like, hey, Max, what should we do?
- 1:33Speaker 4: You've been here the longest. Is there something in that?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Because you just said, you just listened off so many
- 1:39Speaker 4: things the ring ceremony and then you have, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 4: different distractions. Is there a situation where you kind of
- 1:46Speaker 4: had to be the Hey guys, I'm the grand marshal
- 1:48Speaker 4: of this parade.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Now I'll make sure you guys know where to be.
- 1:53Speaker 1: No, I don't think there's any situation like that.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just you just try to I might be
- 2:02Speaker 2: the longest tenured guy, but i'm by no means the
- 2:05Speaker 2: longest service time in that clubhouse. And you know that's
- 2:08Speaker 2: the the funny thing about it. Uh, you know, the
- 2:11Speaker 2: parking lot, the way the parking lot. So players, it's uh, uh,
- 2:19Speaker 2: you know, for as long as I've been here, I
- 2:20Speaker 2: feel like I've been in the same spot for all
- 2:22Speaker 2: those years.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I don't think I've moved up at all.
- 2:23Speaker 2: We keep getting guys that have more service time than
- 2:25Speaker 2: I do, so it's kind of a you know what
- 2:29Speaker 2: that it's just, uh, the only thing you're really doing
- 2:32Speaker 2: is people ask, you know, where do we go for
- 2:34Speaker 2: certain things? And you just just point point the direction
- 2:36Speaker 2: and guys find a way.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Hey, Max, you know what Scott forgot to talk to
- 2:41Speaker 5: you about last night? Your first homer? Did we talked
- 2:44Speaker 5: about your first homer last night?
- 2:46Speaker 1: Oh?
- 2:46Speaker 5: You're Scott didn't even mention it. I think Scott forgot
- 2:48Speaker 5: that you hit your first homer last night. He's all
- 2:50Speaker 5: worried about bibbleheads and show Hey bitching, let's talk about
- 2:53Speaker 5: Max once he's first homer.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's nice. I didn't have to wait till May
- 2:57Speaker 1: this year to get that first one. So that's uh,
- 2:59Speaker 1: you know, I feel bad that, Hey, Lefty, Yeah, it
- 3:04Speaker 1: was a good one.
- 3:04Speaker 2: It was off of you know, it was off Lefty
- 3:06Speaker 2: and uh, you know, I've been feeling pretty good off
- 3:08Speaker 2: lefties a spring. I think I had more bats off
- 3:10Speaker 2: lefties than I did right he's all spring training. You know,
- 3:13Speaker 2: it felt like every single day we faced the we
- 3:16Speaker 2: face the lefty, and you know, we kind of expect
- 3:18Speaker 2: that's how the season is gonna go for us. You know,
- 3:21Speaker 2: I think teams are gonna stack lefties against us, just
- 3:23Speaker 2: we've got a lot of lefties in the lineup, and
- 3:25Speaker 2: uh you know, it's just it's gonna be their way
- 3:27Speaker 2: to kind of combat that. And so getting all the
- 3:30Speaker 2: all the practice off lefties and spring was good for me.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I felt I feel really comfortable off to them, uh
- 3:34Speaker 2: you know, staying in there, not not diving out.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Uh So it's always it's always huge.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Hey, hey Max, what about do you guys? Do you
- 3:43Speaker 5: guys get the bibbleheads? You get tired of getting bibble heads?
- 3:46Speaker 5: You have a house. I know you're sitting in your house.
- 3:48Speaker 5: How do you have a room that's just wall to
- 3:50Speaker 5: wall bibbleheads? Because I feel like the Dodgers give out
- 3:53Speaker 5: a babblehead like a week. It's a show. Hey, it's
- 3:55Speaker 5: a Freddy, it's a Mookie, it's a Yoshi, it's a Rokie.
- 4:00Speaker 5: It's a month. See, it's a do you have a
- 4:02Speaker 5: Kyle Tucker. I'm sure at some point.
- 4:04Speaker 2: They you know, we've always done Yeah, we've always done
- 4:08Speaker 2: a really good job on the promotions. So every single
- 4:13Speaker 2: year you're looking at I don't know what the number is,
- 4:16Speaker 2: probably twenty bubble heads. Maybe it's a it's it's a lot,
- 4:22Speaker 2: and uh, it's it's really cool, is what it is.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You know, my my house in Texas, we've we've got
- 4:28Speaker 2: a room, what we've got over one hundred bubble heads
- 4:32Speaker 2: in it now, and it's a it's really cool to
- 4:34Speaker 2: just see, you know, I know the guys always enjoy it.
- 4:37Speaker 2: It's always finn for for the guys. You can get
- 4:39Speaker 2: your own bubble head. You know, you show up and
- 4:43Speaker 2: they have a bubble head sitting in your chair when
- 4:46Speaker 2: it's your when's your bibble head day? So it's always
- 4:48Speaker 2: it's always a good time.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Do you have a favorite one? Do you have a
- 4:51Speaker 4: favorite one that you're like, Ah, that one we definitely
- 4:53Speaker 4: can't get rid of.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I mean they're all they're all great. The the Yoshi
- 5:00Speaker 2: the Yoshi one's pretty cool. My kids love that one
- 5:03Speaker 2: so far. They've they've been getting big into Mario lately
- 5:06Speaker 2: and so they they they really loved that one from
- 5:09Speaker 2: last night. That might be their favorite one that I've seen,
- 5:13Speaker 2: either that one or My kids also really loved the
- 5:16Speaker 2: Hello Kitty bubblehead. My daughter loves Hello Kitty. So that's
- 5:20Speaker 2: that that's a big hit for us. Also, that's huge.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Maybe maybe you get a couple extra.
- 5:24Speaker 4: How are the new guys acclimating Tucker and Edwin Diaz?
- 5:27Speaker 4: How do new guys who are superstars acclimate to a
- 5:31Speaker 4: team of superstars.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I mean, they've they've been fitting in seamlessly, you know.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I think the the good thing for them is there's just, uh,
- 5:44Speaker 2: there's obviously expectations, but like you know, there's just as
- 5:49Speaker 2: much pressure on everyone else than there is on them.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And so you know, it's not like it's.
- 5:53Speaker 2: A, hey, we need you to be the guy the
- 5:56Speaker 2: whole season's writing on you. You know that that's not
- 5:59Speaker 2: the expectation for them. It's more just that he, you know,
- 6:03Speaker 2: find your footing. We know you're going to help us,
- 6:05Speaker 2: you know, win a bunch of games this season, and
- 6:08Speaker 2: you know, start start acommitting to life out here in
- 6:11Speaker 2: LA get used to the routine, get used to you know,
- 6:13Speaker 2: the drive into Dodger Stadium.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You know, all that kind of stuff.
- 6:17Speaker 2: It's just I think it's a it's a little bit
- 6:19Speaker 2: easier for those guys and that one that is just
- 6:21Speaker 2: you know, the world's not not weighing down on them,
- 6:24Speaker 2: knowing that they can just fit in for us.
- 6:27Speaker 3: This episode is brought to you by Fox One. Go

- 7:12Speaker 4: Now, yeah, we'll definitely make sure he I think we
- 7:15Speaker 4: got time for that one. Then we'll definitely make sure
- 7:17Speaker 4: we as we count this down, we'll say by to
- 7:19Speaker 4: Marquee and we'll go We'll continue on with Max. But
- 7:24Speaker 4: a j you can you can go ahead with it.
- 7:27Speaker 5: Oh No, all I was gonna ask is when they
- 7:30Speaker 5: first played the trump it's Edwin, did you get a
- 7:32Speaker 5: little chills? Did you get a little chills? Because I
- 7:34Speaker 5: mean every time in New York when they played that,
- 7:36Speaker 5: I feel like you die a little chills. So when
- 7:38Speaker 5: they did that, didn't they have the didn't they have
- 7:40Speaker 5: a trumpet guy there the first night he came in,
- 7:42Speaker 5: or didn't they do something special for him?
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, they had it. They had an artist to play
- 7:47Speaker 1: the trumpet live. Not gonna lie. It's it's a pretty
- 7:51Speaker 1: good skit. It's it's a good skit. You know that.
- 7:55Speaker 2: There's there's certain guys where you just sit there and
- 7:57Speaker 2: you go, man, that's a that's a good skit.
- 7:59Speaker 1: When they come in the game and you know that
- 8:01Speaker 1: one's one of the best.
- 8:02Speaker 2: It's I gotta say, it sounds pretty good at Dodger
- 8:06Speaker 2: Stadium with the sound system. You know, it's a they
- 8:10Speaker 2: they may they may be crank it up a little
- 8:12Speaker 2: bit extra loud. Uh, but that's all right. That's what
- 8:14Speaker 2: you want. You know, it gets the stadium rockin. I
- 8:17Speaker 2: think the fans are really starting to to love it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: They you know, fans tend to lead the game maybe
- 8:25Speaker 2: a little bit early to be traffic, and this has
- 8:26Speaker 2: given them a reason mistake because they want to see
- 8:28Speaker 2: the you know, they want to see the skid.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Is there anybody's song that plays on the Dodgers sound system?
- 8:35Speaker 4: For anybody who hasn't been to l A, it is
- 8:38Speaker 4: the best sound system by far, Like it's another level
- 8:41Speaker 4: sound system. But is anybody's song with anybody you play
- 8:44Speaker 4: that's on that sound system that you're like, like that
- 8:48Speaker 4: just didn't that just didn't hit. I feel like everybody's
- 8:50Speaker 4: song hits any time that I've ever been there.
- 8:54Speaker 2: No, there's there's plenty of songs that that that don't
- 8:57Speaker 2: sound that great. And that's that's part of the U
- 8:59Speaker 2: the train and finding a walk up song. Is you
- 9:01Speaker 2: gotta you gotta really really try to guess if it's
- 9:05Speaker 2: gonna sound good at Dotter Stadium or not a lot
- 9:08Speaker 2: of times guys will pick a song and they after
- 9:11Speaker 2: one night they go, yeah, that didn't sound break, I
- 9:13Speaker 2: gotta gotta move on. There's not any that pop right
- 9:15Speaker 2: into my head. Most guys do a pretty good job
- 9:18Speaker 2: of finding a song. This sounds great on there, but
- 9:20Speaker 2: uh yeah, the sound system is just different, easily the best.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It's uh you know, I love having that.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Hey, Max, when you when we were talking about this
- 9:32Speaker 5: earlier with the show Show, he said, Oh, I'm not
- 9:34Speaker 5: gonna pitch every fifth day. I'm gonna pitch every sixth
- 9:36Speaker 5: or seventh day, And I said he could absolutely win
- 9:39Speaker 5: a so Young doing that. Do you think Show he
- 9:41Speaker 5: could win a so Young if he pitches every sixth
- 9:43Speaker 5: or seventh day like they're planning on using him.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Now, I mean, I don't see why not. I mean,
- 9:52Speaker 1: I think the the only the only thing that would hold.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Him back is if there's a guy that's got very
- 9:57Speaker 2: similar numbers to what he's gonna just have that extra
- 10:00Speaker 2: two three starts, And I really think that the voters
- 10:03Speaker 2: will take that into account when it comes down to
- 10:07Speaker 2: it at the end. But you know, I don't see
- 10:09Speaker 2: any reason why Show couldn't want to side out. You know,
- 10:12Speaker 2: he's incredible on the mound, and I was talking about
- 10:14Speaker 2: it last night that you know, I know everyone talks
- 10:17Speaker 2: about his hitting and how impressive his hitting is, Uh,
- 10:22Speaker 2: pitching is what he really really loves to do. Like
- 10:25Speaker 2: he is so bought into pitching. He loves everything about it.
- 10:29Speaker 2: He loves the preparation for it, the build up for it,
- 10:33Speaker 2: you know, the scouting, like he just he really really
- 10:38Speaker 2: loves pitching. And you can tell that's just like pitching
- 10:41Speaker 2: is who he is. That's that's what he loves to
- 10:43Speaker 2: do in baseball. And he just happens to be really
- 10:46Speaker 2: good at hitting, but pitching is where he's you know,
- 10:48Speaker 2: you can tell he's fully bought into pitching.
- 10:51Speaker 5: Hey, and by the way, if he wins to Cion,
- 10:54Speaker 5: guess what, you guys would get another bubblehead so you
- 10:57Speaker 5: could just add it to your collection. See, everyone just
- 11:00Speaker 5: get more bubble heads and then your kids are going
- 11:02Speaker 5: to just have to keep choosing which one so to
- 11:04Speaker 5: win win for everybody.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I think, yeah, absolutely, yes, I think I think the
- 11:10Speaker 4: one bibblehead that we're not gonna get, at least I
- 11:12Speaker 4: don't think we are yet is the shirtless Sunday bibblehead.
- 11:15Speaker 4: When we had Robleski on the other day, I guess
- 11:18Speaker 4: it was now a month ago, but he was talking
- 11:20Speaker 4: about how, yeah, you know, we're continuing the shirtless Sundays.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Will that continue during the season? You've only had one Sunday?
- 11:27Speaker 4: And do we need to have a shirtless Kershaw bobblehead?
- 11:33Speaker 2: You know what, I wouldn't be surprised if they did
- 11:35Speaker 2: something like that.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I know, I know Kersh would love that.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a big you know, he was a big,
- 11:42Speaker 2: big proponent of the shirtless Sunday and he loved it.
- 11:46Speaker 1: He got he got super excited for Sundays.
- 11:49Speaker 2: He would just pop his head down in the weight room,
- 11:51Speaker 2: yell at everybody, make sure the tarp's off, and you know, go.
- 11:55Speaker 2: He he'd be. He'd be in those who were always
- 11:57Speaker 2: his best workout days with shirtless Sunday. You know, he
- 12:00Speaker 2: was fully bought into it.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Hey, speaking of workouts, Max, have you seen Mookie doing?
- 12:07Speaker 5: Was it Roi Rokie stuff? Is that what he's doing?
- 12:10Speaker 5: Are you gonna get on that train soon? Are you
- 12:11Speaker 5: gonna get on the Mooki and Rookie workout train?
- 12:16Speaker 1: Dude? I don't know, man.
- 12:17Speaker 2: He uh So, he started doing the javelins because he
- 12:21Speaker 2: wanted to work on his throw, and within like two
- 12:25Speaker 2: weeks he was throwing absolute missiles across the infield. And
- 12:29Speaker 2: I'm sitting there looking at him do this, and I'm like, man,
- 12:31Speaker 2: maybe I should start doing the javelins also, because like
- 12:33Speaker 2: he you like, Mook's always had an unbelievable arm, but
- 12:37Speaker 2: like when you watch the way he's throwing now, like
- 12:39Speaker 2: he's throwing absolute rockets to first base and he's so
- 12:42Speaker 2: accurate with it every single throw, You're just kind of like,
- 12:45Speaker 2: maybe I should start doing this. You know, maybe I'll
- 12:48Speaker 2: put maybe I'll put you out a sense on my
- 12:50Speaker 2: shoulders and start walking around and see what happens.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Okay, that's the one I was gonna ask about. I
- 12:55Speaker 4: don't care about the rocket because you know, we don't
- 12:57Speaker 4: ever get to see how far the rocket goes. Every
- 12:59Speaker 4: video we see it's just like them standing there and
- 13:02Speaker 4: then they throw it. I want to see how far
- 13:04Speaker 4: it goes. So until I see that the one where
- 13:06Speaker 4: you had a sense was on his back. Do you
- 13:09Speaker 4: feel like you're built for that? Do you feel like
- 13:11Speaker 4: if Max Munsey has somebody on his back, like it's
- 13:15Speaker 4: gonna go well or not?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Well?
- 13:19Speaker 2: You know, the thing is, since they only weighs maybe
- 13:21Speaker 2: one hundred pounds, you know, he's not a real big guy.
- 13:23Speaker 2: But uh, you know, it's A. It's a From my understandings,
- 13:28Speaker 2: it's all about engaging your core and using your core
- 13:30Speaker 2: the correct way. That's you know, trying to find the
- 13:35Speaker 2: balance in your body while engaging your core. That's why
- 13:39Speaker 2: he puts you know, he puts himtuff on your shoulders.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Is he want you to understand that? I don't know
- 13:44Speaker 2: much more than that, but that's my basic understanding of
- 13:48Speaker 2: him being on your shoulders.
- 13:50Speaker 5: All right, have you done abs yet? Have you challenged?
- 13:53Speaker 5: Because you guys have like no challenges so far. Does
- 13:56Speaker 5: Dave Roberts say you guys aren't allowed to challenge because
- 13:58Speaker 5: Umpire's never miss calls on the dog because you guys
- 14:01Speaker 5: get every call anyway, so you don't want to rooin
- 14:02Speaker 5: that reputation.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Uh, that's that's false. Uh, we do not. We do
- 14:07Speaker 1: not get every call. That's uh. You know, I would
- 14:11Speaker 1: like to think we do, but we definitely do not.
- 14:13Speaker 2: No, you know, we've had a lot of meetings about, uh,
- 14:17Speaker 2: you know, when is the proper time to use to
- 14:20Speaker 2: use a challenge. And obviously, if you're one hundred percent
- 14:23Speaker 2: certain that you know pitches the ball and it gets
- 14:26Speaker 2: called a strike, you challenge that any point. But if
- 14:28Speaker 2: it's one that your borderline on. We have, you know,
- 14:31Speaker 2: certain situations where you have a green light to challenge,
- 14:34Speaker 2: and then there's other situations where it's you know, you
- 14:36Speaker 2: probably shouldn't challenge if you're borderling on it. That's something
- 14:40Speaker 2: that we've been real big on so far this year.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It's just understanding, you know, the situation, understanding you know,
- 14:46Speaker 2: leverage counts and uh, you know is the runners on base?
- 14:49Speaker 1: No runners on base? Are you leading off the union?
- 14:52Speaker 1: Is the sixth inning on?
- 14:54Speaker 2: Uh?
- 14:54Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:54Speaker 2: The biggest thing for us is just saving the challenges
- 14:57Speaker 2: for for Will and uh adult and behind the plate.
- 15:02Speaker 2: You know, the the data is very, very point blank
- 15:05Speaker 2: that catchers are much better at challenges than hitters are.
- 15:08Speaker 2: So we want to make sure our catcher always has
- 15:12Speaker 2: a challenge for later in the game and well really
- 15:14Speaker 2: at any point in the game. And Will has already
- 15:17Speaker 2: been proven that so far. Will has been amazing behind
- 15:19Speaker 2: the plate. There was only a there's only one I
- 15:21Speaker 2: think that he's missed, and that was just a ninth
- 15:23Speaker 2: inning challenge where it was like, hey, let's take a chance,
- 15:25Speaker 2: why not and we still had another challenge behind that.
- 15:28Speaker 2: So I have not done the challenge yet I've h
- 15:32Speaker 2: I had one challenge on me last night and uh
- 15:35Speaker 2: it was not overturned, so I was you know, that
- 15:37Speaker 2: was a good one for me. But yeah, the biggest
- 15:40Speaker 2: thing we've been trying to harp on so far as
- 15:42Speaker 2: just understanding when is it when's the right time to
- 15:45Speaker 2: challenge challenge a pitch because you don't want to run
- 15:48Speaker 2: into a situation like the uh, you know, like Cleveland
- 15:50Speaker 2: ran into last night where they were out of challenges
- 15:52Speaker 2: by the by the fifth inning.
- 15:54Speaker 5: This one's for the dudes looking for that peak bedroom performance.

- 16:52Speaker 1: It's blue Choo.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Hey, I did a game on Saturday. I did a
- 16:57Speaker 5: game on Saturday Max where the Braves in the first inning,
- 17:01Speaker 5: Drake Baldwin dropped the boo boom in the top of
- 17:05Speaker 5: the first missed it acunya. There was a ball like
- 17:07Speaker 5: in the middle of the plate that they call a strike,
- 17:10Speaker 5: and he challenged leading off, and the four hitters into
- 17:13Speaker 5: the game Braves out of challenges. So the smartest thing
- 17:16Speaker 5: you can remember is that catchers always get it right.
- 17:19Speaker 5: So just let the catchers challenge. Okay, nobody else, including.
- 17:22Speaker 1: No Like I said, I say like I said that.
- 17:24Speaker 2: The data is very clear on that when you look
- 17:27Speaker 2: at it from the last couple of years in the
- 17:28Speaker 2: minor leagues. This year in spring training and so far,
- 17:31Speaker 2: catchers are about was it like sixty five percent something
- 17:34Speaker 2: like that.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I think.
- 17:36Speaker 2: And hitters are only forty so uh yeah, the data
- 17:40Speaker 2: is pretty clear that catchers are always going to be
- 17:41Speaker 2: a lot better, and you know they're seeing more pitches
- 17:43Speaker 2: beyond the plate, so it makes sense, all right.
- 17:46Speaker 4: So you obviously you haven't challenged yet, like you said,
- 17:49Speaker 4: but you've got to challenge on it. It's riveting for fans.
- 17:52Speaker 4: They all look up at the board, they're watching it
- 17:55Speaker 4: when they challenged. I forget who was behind the disc
- 17:58Speaker 4: that challenged the call. Did you sit there and go,
- 18:02Speaker 4: I know him right, or do you say that could
- 18:06Speaker 4: have touched that could have just gotten on the edge.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Well, the one on me last night, actually it was
- 18:13Speaker 2: a check swing for me. So you know, anytime you
- 18:16Speaker 2: get in the check swing, you don't really get like
- 18:18Speaker 2: a full good look at the ball. So I was
- 18:20Speaker 2: kind of like, I have no eye. I was just
- 18:22Speaker 2: as engaged as the fans where I was staring at
- 18:24Speaker 2: the board. You know, I was like, is this a
- 18:26Speaker 2: striker is at ball? I don't know, just do the
- 18:30Speaker 2: Randy A.
- 18:31Speaker 5: Rose arena where you know it's a ball and he
- 18:33Speaker 5: just walks the first he's handing all his jump to
- 18:35Speaker 5: the bad boy, and they're like, you know, they're doing
- 18:37Speaker 5: the thing and it was like, you know, two tenths
- 18:39Speaker 5: of an inch off the play. He's like, I knew
- 18:41Speaker 5: it the whole time. He was already at first base. No,
- 18:45Speaker 5: I don't know if I'll ever do that.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I'll make sure it's an actual ball before I start
- 18:49Speaker 2: walking down. Last thing you want to do is take
- 18:50Speaker 2: off all your guards and then have to put him
- 18:52Speaker 2: all back on, and you know, and then everyone's sitting
- 18:54Speaker 2: there waiting on you, and you know, I know some
- 18:57Speaker 2: people probably enjoy that, but no, not me.
- 19:00Speaker 5: Then you get the pitchclock violation. Then you could get
- 19:02Speaker 5: a pitchclock and it would make up for the other things.
- 19:05Speaker 5: See Souse, it was a strike to a ball, and
- 19:07Speaker 5: then you get the pitchclock. See then it's all it's
- 19:09Speaker 5: all big cycle. It's a vicious cycle.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Max.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Unfortunately, new rules are fun. I will say this. Some
- 19:18Speaker 3: people were like, oh, when we do all this, there's
- 19:20Speaker 3: never gonna be ejections again. I've seen some fun ejections
- 19:24Speaker 3: already across the bigs from managers. They're figuring out ways
- 19:28Speaker 3: to still piss off mpires and get themselves booted from games.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Derek Shell no Weekend, Don Kelly last night, like, we're good,
- 19:35Speaker 3: We're still gonna see some entertaining.
- 19:36Speaker 2: There's sometimes where guys just don't want to sit there
- 19:40Speaker 2: and dug out and they want to they'd rather be
- 19:41Speaker 2: up in the clubhous.
- 19:42Speaker 1: You know.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Uh, there's always gonna There's always going to be those days,
- 19:45Speaker 2: and that's just how it is.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Hey, will Dave Roberts get ejected this year? Will he
- 19:51Speaker 5: get or does he just always sit back like every
- 19:53Speaker 5: time I show him, he's just saying that it doesn't
- 19:55Speaker 5: even have the time. Look like he's watching the game.
- 19:57Speaker 5: He's just like, we're gonna win. So yeah, I've got
- 20:01Speaker 5: dinner reservations at ten thirty, guys, let's turny this up
- 20:04Speaker 5: a little bit, you know, because I got to get
- 20:06Speaker 5: out of here.
- 20:07Speaker 2: No, as for whether he will get tossed this year,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I don't know. Doc does a pretty good job of
- 20:16Speaker 2: towing the line. He always stays on the correct side
- 20:18Speaker 2: of the line. But there's a lot of times where
- 20:21Speaker 2: he'll tell the line with the umpires. And but as
- 20:24Speaker 2: far as getting tossed, I don't. I don't know. It
- 20:28Speaker 2: would have to be a pretty big moment for him
- 20:31Speaker 2: to get tossed.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Max last one for it it's a fun one. So
- 20:35Speaker 3: the Athletic does a Hopometer survey every year for eleven
- 20:38Speaker 3: thousand fans on their optimism versus pessimism for their team.
- 20:42Speaker 3: The Dodgers I think set the all time record. It
- 20:45Speaker 3: was ninety eight point two percent, and that only equals
- 20:47Speaker 3: I think one fan that said they were pessimistic about
- 20:50Speaker 3: the Dodgers. So I wanted to get your take. It
- 20:53Speaker 3: doesn't have to be serious on what you would tell
- 20:55Speaker 3: that one fan who's not feeling good about and it's
- 20:58Speaker 3: not just the current Dodgers. They kind of look at
- 21:00Speaker 3: what they've done and then what is going to happen
- 21:03Speaker 3: going forward? So what would your advice be to that
- 21:06Speaker 3: one fan who does not feel satisfied right now?
- 21:10Speaker 1: Go touch some grass, man get.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I don't know, it's a it's I don't know what
- 21:18Speaker 2: else you'd want from us. You know, we've we've won
- 21:20Speaker 2: back to back World Series. We have a great team.
- 21:22Speaker 2: We're off to a great start. If you if you
- 21:25Speaker 2: can't finally hope in us, then like I said, go
- 21:27Speaker 2: you got to go to touch the grass.
- 21:29Speaker 1: And find something else to do, or play the video game.
- 21:32Speaker 5: But they lost this year, They've lost the game this year,
- 21:35Speaker 5: So of course there's gonna be somebody mad. You guys
- 21:37Speaker 5: are supposed to win every game.
- 21:39Speaker 1: It's just not gonna happens. It's just not gonna happen.
- 21:44Speaker 2: No, no team is ever gonna no team is ever
- 21:46Speaker 2: gonna go one sixty two, and it's just never gonna happen.
- 21:49Speaker 3: No, some little kids will play like easy mode on
- 21:52Speaker 3: a video game so that they win every single game.
- 21:54Speaker 3: That might be what that fan needs to do. We're
- 21:57Speaker 3: hoping the fan just made a mistake and it's like
- 21:59Speaker 3: they were at the and they pressed the wrong button.
- 22:01Speaker 3: They were like, oh shoot, I didn't mean to press that,
- 22:04Speaker 3: but just wanted to get a little fun message out
- 22:07Speaker 3: to that one person in case they're serious. Max Sure
- 22:09Speaker 3: the man, thank you so much for joining us. We're
- 22:10Speaker 3: enjoying the show. We'll catch you sooner, right
- 22:13Speaker 1: All right, sound good, guys, Thanks for having me on.
