- 0:01Speaker 1: Oh, you know how I get.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We all get different alerts when you use alerts with
- 0:06Speaker 2: important things. And I got this one from the Reese's
- 0:11Speaker 2: Peanut Butter Cup oh alert.
- 0:14Speaker 1: File, and the headline kind of got me.
- 0:17Speaker 2: It said, why are Reese's seasonal shapes better than the cups?
- 0:22Speaker 3: So better as in.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Preferred?
- 0:26Speaker 4: Why were they? There's something better about overall about the product?
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yes, meaning like at there's Easter, there's an Easter egg
- 0:35Speaker 2: shaped one.
- 0:36Speaker 3: We've got them at X ninety six dot com.
- 0:38Speaker 4: Slast Christmas tree shaped ones.
- 0:41Speaker 3: They do a pumpkin shaped one for Halloween.
- 0:43Speaker 4: They've gone a carrot for Easter.
- 0:45Speaker 2: It's arguably not a holiday without a seasonal Reese's shape
- 0:48Speaker 2: to match. But what makes Reese's shapes taste so much
- 0:52Speaker 2: better than the original Reese's Peanut butter cups? While the
- 0:55Speaker 2: Hershey Company has never indicated any specific differences in the
- 0:58Speaker 2: recipe here, production, candy fans have been debating, you know,
- 1:02Speaker 2: candy fans.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Now, I haven't read I haven't read this story, but
- 1:05Speaker 4: I want to guess before you tell.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Us why Reese's shapes are tastier and fresher than the cups.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Freeze and that it's because I'm guessing it's because the
- 1:16Speaker 4: cup there's more surface area and the peanut butter and
- 1:21Speaker 4: it kind of dries out queer.
- 1:22Speaker 3: So you're taking scientific That's what I think.
- 1:26Speaker 4: And so when they're in those shapes, you know, it's
- 1:29Speaker 4: just it doesn't dry out as much.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Riese's shapes tend to have a higher ratio of peanut
- 1:35Speaker 2: butter to chocolate compared to the standard.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Wow, that's part of it to a huge plus for the.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Peanut butter partial customer sure is whether it's a pumpkin
- 1:45Speaker 2: of heart or a tree. Reese's seasonal shapes have a
- 1:47Speaker 2: larger surface area. Are you sure you didn't read that?
- 1:50Speaker 4: I didn't, I really didn't.
- 1:52Speaker 2: That allows for more peanut butter filling than the usual cup.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Since they use a similar amount of chocolate a standard cups,
- 1:58Speaker 2: the filling makes up a higher purpose, giving seasonal shapes
- 2:01Speaker 2: their signature peanut butter heavy bite. No, now, I was
- 2:06Speaker 2: gonna say. I thought it was they're fresher because they
- 2:09Speaker 2: make them just for the season.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Well, now that would be a good hmm, that would
- 2:15Speaker 4: be a good suppose.
- 2:16Speaker 2: The regular ones, you know, are around all the time.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Does the story go further and say which shape is
- 2:23Speaker 2: the best? Because we got people weighing in on that.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Oh, let's see.
- 2:27Speaker 3: It says the eggs are the best.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Let's see. I don't think it's giving a winner.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 2:36Speaker 2: It's just saying generally the seasonal ones. Have you tried
- 2:41Speaker 2: races with jam?
- 2:43Speaker 4: They make a peanut butter cup with jam.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Like peanut butter, That's what guy is saying.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Really, Yeah, no, I haven't seen that.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah. See, I don't think I would like that. I why,
- 2:54Speaker 2: I think you're messing with the classic combination. There, you're
- 2:58Speaker 2: you're playing God is.
- 2:59Speaker 1: What you doing?
- 3:00Speaker 4: Yeah, don't ever, don't ever try and improve things.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I like it the way I like it. It's gotta stainus. Hey,
- 3:06Speaker 3: old wear, it'll never be good. Can we can we
- 3:09Speaker 3: fire Hudson for this? He says he doesn't like peanut
- 3:12Speaker 3: butter and chocolate.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I'm sorry to pack your things.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I like peanut butter and chocolate, but I'm not particularly
- 3:18Speaker 4: a fan of peanut butter cups.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Really.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yeah, because they taste a little salty.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that's part of what makes them delicious.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I don't I don't like that.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Oh, there it is Reese's peb and J strawberry jam.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I'm for it.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It's just a layer of strawberry jam underneath the peanut
- 3:35Speaker 3: butter in the cup.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Now it's only the first part of September, but all
- 3:39Speaker 2: the Halloween candy is out.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It's all. It is all out and ready to go.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Now when it comes to comes to Teresa's peanut butter cups,
- 3:50Speaker 4: give me a Cadberry cream egg any day over a
- 3:53Speaker 4: peanut butter cup. The cream egg, Yeah, the Cadbury cream egg, Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 4: much much nicer.
- 3:59Speaker 3: What about the Trader Joe's peanut butter cups.
- 4:02Speaker 2: They're not those, Yeah, those are really My husband will
- 4:05Speaker 2: buy those sometimes and you know, in a pinch, like
- 4:08Speaker 2: if there are no races available and that is what
- 4:12Speaker 2: he has brought home, I will eat it.
- 4:14Speaker 4: You'll have to be pinch to eat them.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It's not it's not not my preferred.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Hm.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Somebody says you can never how tell old? Tell how
- 4:25Speaker 2: old the classic ones are.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I have been known to open.
- 4:29Speaker 4: I've seen you do.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It and throw them away without eating it, because I
- 4:33Speaker 2: could tell just by looking at them. Really, they'll have
- 4:35Speaker 2: kind of a white film on the top of them.
- 4:38Speaker 4: You know, if you put it, if you put them
- 4:39Speaker 4: in the microwave for about ten seconds. It'll soften them up.
- 4:43Speaker 4: You won't notice the difference, and then.
- 4:45Speaker 1: The peanut butter is all dry.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Hmm, it's of no, I think that they.
