- 0:00You have arrived. Welcome to the Aspy world.
- 0:04Here's where we talk about anything and everything ASD in
- 0:07an upbeat and informative way. And now here's your man on the
- 0:11spectrum, your autism ambassador, Daniel Morgan Jones.
- 0:19Autism cure? Well, I'm going to get into all
- 0:22that in a minute plus more, so stay tuned guys.
- 0:26Welcome back to the Aspy world. My name is Dan and I have autism
- 0:29and ADHD. I make weekly videos all about
- 0:31this kind of stuff. So if you're new around here and
- 0:33you want to learn more so remember to hit the subscribe
- 0:35button by clicking that notification bell down below and
- 0:38the little bar says subscribe. Make sure to hit that guys.
- 0:41Chinese scientists have said that they've developed a shot
- 0:46that cures autism. OK, we're going to unpack all of
- 0:50this right now. I mean, this is just a crazy
- 0:51headache and it's what the heck guys.
- 0:55I just want to say thank you to today's video sponsor, which is
- 0:58a Borilla and Aubrelia is a non prescription, non addictive
- 1:01homeopathic medication. And I use it for my ADHD because
- 1:05it's perfect for enhancing clarity, reducing irritability,
- 1:09anxiety, stress and impulsivity, which is typically what you get
- 1:12when you have ADHD. And it's just these little tabs
- 1:15that you pop one into your tongue four or five times a day
- 1:18over the space of like 3 or 4 weeks and you'll see a
- 1:20difference. But you obviously have to keep
- 1:22on taking it to see that difference.
- 1:23If you are interested, brillia has brillia for children and
- 1:27brillia for adults, which is kind of dope.
- 1:30If you are interested, make sure to check out with your doctor
- 1:32first. Make sure it's safe to take for
- 1:34you. And I can give you a 15%
- 1:36discount using the code ASPB 15 and using the link in the
- 1:39description down below. Awesome.
- 1:41Let's get on with the video. OK, so we always hear these
- 1:43outlandish claims that like, you know, just a cure for autism.
- 1:49Really. Let's just be very clear here.
- 1:51Autism is a neurodevelopmental neurological condition, which is
- 1:56something that happens to your brain as it's kind of fusing
- 1:59together your neurological path kind of slightly fused
- 2:03differently to the average neurotypical person.
- 2:05Now this is something you can't really reverse, right?
- 2:08But it's something that's genetically inherent.
- 2:10It just happens. That's who you are.
- 2:11It's part of your DNA. It's it is you.
- 2:14So to say that you have a cure for autism is 1 an outrageous
- 2:17claim because unless you're doing micro nano brain surgery
- 2:21on neurons and I'm not sure how you're going to to this.
- 2:25So secured is obviously a very big statement, but what is
- 2:28actually meant? Like we're understanding that,
- 2:30you know, also can't be cute. So what are these people talking
- 2:32about? So there was an article
- 2:34published on Scitec Dailies website that said that there's
- 2:37seen reduction in hyperactivity within mice when using certain
- 2:42sodium blockers. Now sodium is a, is basically
- 2:46salt and not table salt, not sodium chloride.
- 2:48But sodium is a, is a salt that's in the body and it's,
- 2:51it's very prevalent in the body. And you need that because what
- 2:54happens is salt moves around and gives you these neuron impulses,
- 2:59which causes like motor neurons, which are kind of, you know,
- 3:02what happens in your muscles, it makes you move.
- 3:05So using sodium blockers, you can control certain neuron
- 3:08function, which I can understand to a, to a degree.
- 3:11But in terms of saying that mice showed less hyperactivity than
- 3:16mice who didn't have this shot, it's kind of like, well, is that
- 3:21autism? Like, can we just be frank here
- 3:23for a second? Mice, how do you know if a, a
- 3:27mouse is autistic or not? You can't say, well, this mouse
- 3:29is autistic. So I'm going to, you know, this
- 3:31is definitive proof of this work.
- 3:32That's garbage. You can't say that a mouse has
- 3:34autism because you can't interview the mouse.
- 3:36You can't test the mouse to prove that his brain is working
- 3:38like an autistic person's brain. So to have a shot or a medicine
- 3:42developed to cure autism is a very far fetched for what's
- 3:46actually happening. The next thing is not everybody
- 3:49with autism is hyperactive. Where are they pulling this
- 3:53crazy bogus fact out from? Because the mice showed, you
- 3:56know, reduction in hyperactivity.
- 3:58It doesn't mean anything. You know, it it just because an
- 4:01article was published saying that they, you know, reduced
- 4:03hyper hyperactivity in mice doesn't mean a sentence to do
- 4:06with autism. One of the most interesting
- 4:08things is you'll see these headlines time and time again.
- 4:11They'll be spectacular headlines.
- 4:13You know that we can cure this. We can cure that.
- 4:15And in actual fact, it's just the papers trying to sell the
- 4:18paper to you, trying to sell the idea to you that there's this
- 4:21amazing thing that they've got, you know, this, wow, curing
- 4:24autism, kind of like saying, you know, cure the common cold.
- 4:26They'll put this this loose. Framework.
- 4:28Out saying that they did this thing but when you actually look
- 4:30into it like you did with the mice in this Chinese study from
- 4:33SITAC daily there's very little to actually go on here I mean
- 4:36the the to reverse hyperactivity in mice that's not really curing
- 4:41autism and at the end of the day if they knew anything about
- 4:44autism the hyperactivity part only effects a handful of people
- 4:48on the autism spectrum and in marf them they're not only
- 4:50people who have ADHD and autism comorbidly, which is not all the
- 4:54time ADHD is going to give you actual physical hyperactivity.
- 4:57You know, sometimes it's brain and thought function of, of
- 4:59hyperactivity. There's a whole kind of worms
- 5:01here. There's a whole thing that I
- 5:03would like to get into. I want to know your your kind of
- 5:05thought process in this. Do you think that the newspapers
- 5:08and the media should be allowed to say queue as autism when
- 5:11there's actual no hard evidence there Or, or, or do you think
- 5:14it's OK to have sensational headlines?
- 5:16Like I'd love to know. Let me know which team are you
- 5:17on sensational headlines or definitely not pop in the
- 5:20comment down below. I read every comment or respond
- 5:22to everyone and I want to open this discussion now.
