- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, Adam here. Some.
- 0:41People have a high sensitivity, a high vigilance to mold, and
- 0:48most people don't like mold. If you think of a damp bathroom,
- 0:54every now and then you get those little spores of black mold,
- 0:57normally up in the corners or on the ceiling.
- 1:00Nobody likes it. And a lot of people aren't even
- 1:02aware that actually that can be quite dangerous.
- 1:05There was a high profile case in the UK about two years ago where
- 1:12a nine year old boy was in a very moldy room and actually
- 1:16died because all of the spores got into their lungs.
- 1:20A terrible story, and they're actually changing the law in the
- 1:23UK because of that. But some people are in
- 1:27environments where even if there isn't excessive mold, they still
- 1:32feel hyper vigilant and on edge. And I was working with a client
- 1:37that had moved out of their home while they had remediators in to
- 1:41get rid of all of the mold in the air conditioning units.
- 1:45And that was a good thing. Their sensitivity detected that
- 1:47there was a problem. They found the problem, it was
- 1:50being resolved. But they had this fear that what
- 1:53if it's not all gone? What if there's some mould still
- 1:57remaining? What if it spreads?
- 1:59And what if can be a, an internal strategy to create
- 2:03anxiety or anticipatory fear. And it certainly was the case
- 2:07with this client. They were terrified to go back
- 2:09into their own home, even though it's probably never been so safe
- 2:13because professionals were in there to remove the mold.
- 2:17But in their mind, they were thinking, what if there's still
- 2:20some there? And what we needed to do is to
- 2:23change that to feeling that it is safe and perfectly fine
- 2:28unless there is evidence to suggest otherwise.
- 2:32Because otherwise you're finding this house, this home, guilty
- 2:36until being proved. Innocent.
- 2:38And it might take a long time for the home to feel innocent
- 2:42and to be proven innocent of not having mould anymore.
- 2:46Much better to consider it safe and then have certain triggers
- 2:50that can let you know if it's changed now.
- 2:52They were very very sensitive to mould so they would have picked
- 2:55up subtle smells quicker than the average person that wouldn't
- 2:59even notice they also. Had certain air.
- 3:02Quality detectors that would give them a reading and they're
- 3:07a family member would have a particular cough if there was a
- 3:10mouldy environment, all of that became evidence so that they
- 3:14could. Assume that they.
- 3:15Were in a safe, healthy, mould free home unless there was an
- 3:20evidence to suggest otherwise, and even if someone started
- 3:25coughing or there was air quality detectors that changed,
- 3:29it just creates a possibility of mold, not a guarantee.
- 3:31Because it might be there's a high pollen count, it might be
- 3:35that there's something else, you know, let's say fumes or
- 3:39pollution in the area on that particular day, not necessarily
- 3:42mould. So it encourages them to
- 3:43investigate if there's a good enough reason to investigate,
- 3:47but otherwise to assume that it is safe and healthy.
- 3:51So if you can relate to an intense fear of maybe, and it
- 3:56doesn't have to be mould by the way, it might be that your
- 3:58situation is that you're worried about bacteria or for some
- 4:02people, if their home is burgled, they don't feel safe in
- 4:05their home in case it happens again.
- 4:07But what normally happens is that they increase security.
- 4:10So it's normally safer after a burglary and not less.
- 4:13If you don't feel safe in your home for whatever reason, you
- 4:16might get some real value from this, but primarily it is based
- 4:20around mould anxiety. If you would like a bespoke
- 4:25session created specific to your needs, have a look in the
- 4:29description. There's various downloads there,
- 4:31but there's also a link to book a free consultation call.
- 4:34Or you can visit my website whichisadamcox.co.uk check that
- 4:38out and on there you'll be able to schedule a completely free
- 4:40consultation call. We'll have a chat and who knows,
- 4:43I might be the right hypnotherapist to help you and
- 4:45your situation. For now though, find a nice,
- 4:48quiet, comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 4:51disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 5:33Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 5:42slow, long, relaxing breath. And as you exhale, feel that
- 5:50you're drifting into that place of safety, relaxation, and
- 6:00calmness. Feel your eyelids getting
- 6:04heavier and heavier. Your breathing starts to slow.
- 6:11If you need to position your body in such a way to feel even
- 6:15more relaxed, just allow that to happen.
- 6:21Breathing in a feeling of safety and allowing insecurities or
- 6:28worries. Well, the physical sensation of
- 6:32insecurities and worries to feel like they're melting away and
- 6:39leaving your body in your outward breath.
- 6:44That's it. Eyelids getting heavier,
- 6:48breathing slowing down, enabling you to drift deeper and deeper,
- 6:57relaxed. That's it, and the deeper you
- 7:02breathe, the more relaxed you feel and the more relaxed you
- 7:08feel the deeper you breathe. As you exhale, just allow any
- 7:20tension around your jaw to be released.
- 7:23That's in another deep breath, in deeper than you normally
- 7:32would. But as you exhale, feel those
- 7:36worries and insecurities drift out in your outward breath,
- 7:45letting go of tension. Old associations, old fears that
- 7:51once made sense but may not be so relevant now.
- 7:59Because as your breath deepens, allow your nervous system to
- 8:05shift away from vigilance, towards calm, balance and most
- 8:12of all, safety. I want you to think of a time
- 8:20when you are really safe. Allow your mind to drift back to
- 8:26a memory or a feeling. Or maybe you can imagine
- 8:33yourself walking down a pathway, and each step on that pathway
- 8:40takes you deeper into relaxation, deeper into clarity,
- 8:47and deeper into a new way of feeling.
- 8:52A feeling where with each step your mind seems to slow down,
- 8:59your body feel more centred and your instincts more grounded.
- 9:08That's it. And just imagine, at the end of
- 9:13that pathway, you arrive at a place of inner steadiness, your
- 9:20own sanctuary. And I want you to feel how safe
- 9:27you would feel in that, that sanctuary, the sanctuary within
- 9:33your imagination. When you do feel safe and secure
- 9:39and relaxed and comfortable, that's it.
- 9:48Allow this to be an inner sanctuary, which is your inner
- 9:51home. And in this calm internal space,
- 9:57I want you to accept a new idea that what's needed to happen has
- 10:08happened, and now your home is safe.
- 10:12Your home is secure. And I want you to have a very
- 10:19strong conviction that your home is innocent until proven guilty.
- 10:29Allow this belief to become a foundation inside you, solid,
- 10:34grounded and steady. I want you to get a sense that
- 10:43your imagination, rather than scaring you with what ifs, is
- 10:49giving you reassurance now. I want you to imagine that the
- 10:54remediation has been completed to your level or higher.
- 11:02Any genuine threats or danger has been removed, so now your
- 11:08body, your mind and your nervous system are free to feel safe
- 11:15again. I want you to get a sense that
- 11:21safety will be your natural default state.
- 11:28I want you to get a feeling of what that would feel like of
- 11:32feeling safe in your sanctuary, whether that's your inner
- 11:38sanctuary or your home. Allow your nervous system to
- 11:46breathe in and breathe out into that truth.
- 11:50Your home is now safe. And now bring your awareness
- 11:57gently to your body, to the intelligence and capability that
- 12:03lives within every cell, as you start to believe that your
- 12:08immune system is wiser now, more experienced, more attuned, and
- 12:19more prepared than ever before. Allow new beliefs to form.
- 12:32Your immune system is working better than ever.
- 12:36Your body knows how to detoxify, cleanse and restore.
- 12:43Your body can neutralize, mitigate and eliminate if
- 12:47needed, threats efficiently. And every day your detox
- 12:57pathways strengthen. But what if every day you
- 13:02believed that your immune system and your body is healing and
- 13:07improving as you start to notice subtle signs and clues?
- 13:16But yes, indeed, your body's ability to detoxify and protect
- 13:26and keep you healthy is indeed getting stronger and allow your
- 13:34body to feel how it would feel if it was responding to these
- 13:40new ideas like switches turning on, or gears aligning in the
- 13:49right sequence or system synchronizing not from fear, but
- 13:57from empowerment. You know what it's like to live
- 14:07with hyper vigilance, to assume the worst, to imagine or
- 14:15perceive dangers everywhere. But I wonder if you could
- 14:20imagine the opposite. An optimistic positive.
- 14:29You assume that your home is safe and innocent, and only will
- 14:36that change if there is reliable evidence to suggest otherwise.
- 14:45Not your imagination, not your fears and insecurities, and not
- 14:51old memories. Real evidence only I can, Air
- 15:00quality reading or perhaps someone sneezing or looking
- 15:07stuffy. These clues could mean that
- 15:13something's changed and if things change, you investigate
- 15:18and re evaluate. But in the absence of evidence,
- 15:25your home is innocent, your home is safe, and you can act just as
- 15:33you would in a safe, comfortable home.
- 15:45You don't have to expect the worst to prepare for it.
- 15:50So if a clue appears, you can respond with calm logic where
- 15:57evidence creates investigation, not panic, not catastrophizing,
- 16:05and not assuming the worst. Your mind becomes steady,
- 16:10curious, feel your mind becoming measured and in control, just
- 16:21like someone assessing the weather.
- 16:24You check, you observe, you decide calmly.
- 16:29No urgency, No Fear. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 16:36yourself on a screen, like a movie screen or a big TV screen,
- 16:42and see yourself returning toward your home, approaching
- 16:47the door. But I want you to see that
- 16:51version of you looks calm, relaxed and comfortable.
- 17:00See that version of you, quite rightly checking, but not from a
- 17:06place of fear and insecurity, from a place of empowered
- 17:10reassurance, slowly, relaxed, calmly checking.
- 17:20And each time you check, see that version of you with more
- 17:26relaxation, more calmness, more reassurance.
- 17:35And then imagine, imagine that version of you maybe a few weeks
- 17:43from now, maybe reading a good book without worry, without
- 17:52concerns. Or maybe see yourself cooking
- 17:57food, enjoying the meal that you're creating and that version
- 18:07of you as the facial expression of someone where their home is
- 18:14safe, their home supports your health, your home is where you
- 18:23can relax and live normally again.
- 18:29And once you're certain that version of you looks safe,
- 18:33relaxed and comfortable in that home, let me know by nodding in
- 18:36your head. That's it.
- 18:48Conceive it, imagine it, imagine yourself relaxed and calm.
- 18:53And then step into that calm, relaxed, safe version of you.
- 18:59And now take a first person perspective.
- 19:01Imagine yourself reading, perhaps on the sofa or a bed,
- 19:06going for a walk and returning free of anxiety, preparing a
- 19:11nice meal, doing things that make the home feel homely, full
- 19:18of joy, enjoyment, connection and memories.
- 19:24And you only need to do something if those things that
- 19:30you're prepared for ever happen. And until then, your home is
- 19:36safe. Your home is innocent, and you
- 19:40can enjoy it. Feel your immune system becoming
- 19:47stronger and more intelligent. Feel your body detoxifying.
- 19:55Feel that you are safe. You are grounded and you feel
- 20:00happy in your home and then allow that to be the final
- 20:08memory, joy, happiness and safety before you return,
- 20:17priming your mind for what to expect when you go there in
- 20:22reality. So take a deep breath in through
- 20:26your nose. And out through your nose,
- 20:31wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, connect and calibrate into
- 20:34the here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to
- 20:40awaken you. Starting to count 123.
- 20:46Waking up 456. More alert 7-8.
- 20:53Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910 Wide awake,
- 20:59Wide awake. Wide awake.
