- 0:25Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley along with
- 0:34Speaker 1: Trey turnd Home and Raj Sharma on Monday, November twenty fifth,
- 0:42Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, Thanksgiving Week, right here inside the Treehouse,
- 0:47Speaker 1: welcome glad to be with you on this abbreviated work week.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Yeay from us work this week?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yay?
- 0:56Speaker 1: Ber Do you guys aren't yaying.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Di?
- 1:03Speaker 1: Or did you guys just stop working even sooner than
- 1:05Speaker 1: I thought?
- 1:08Speaker 3: He work and I don't have a job.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I know that the holidays for the three
- 1:13Speaker 1: of us are relative. Yeah, you know how much I
- 1:23Speaker 1: love to ask you guys questions, especially when they're off
- 1:26Speaker 1: the wall, especially at the beginning of a show, when
- 1:28Speaker 1: I can really catch you off guard. So I'm gonna
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna stick with treehouse tradition and do just that
- 1:33Speaker 1: right now. Are either of you familiar with crotch cocaine?
- 1:40Speaker 3: Well, I went to Texas State, so we.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Just didn't have a name for it yet.
- 1:49Speaker 4: That's the only way we knew how to do it.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So if you are not familiar with crotch cocaine, I'm
- 1:56Speaker 1: gonna hip you to it all right, all right, So
- 1:59Speaker 1: here we go, and Trey as a bartender in uptown
- 2:03Speaker 1: Dallas for many, many years, you're familiar with the cocaine.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Yes, yes, I have witnessed my fair share of blizzards.
- 2:15Speaker 3: There's a lot of skin that happens in Los Angeles
- 2:17Speaker 3: as well.
- 2:19Speaker 1: So Caroline Cochrane, who is from Newcastle, United Kingdom, England,
- 2:27Speaker 1: as they say, Caroline Cochlan from Newcastle, England, was being
- 2:33Speaker 1: detained by police for breaching the peace when she rummaged
- 2:38Speaker 1: around her crotch to pull out drugs before throwing them
- 2:42Speaker 1: away in full view of police officers. Those officers then
- 2:47Speaker 1: recovered the drugs, which were found to be cocaine. The
- 2:51Speaker 1: forty nine year old grandma later referred to her crotch
- 2:54Speaker 1: cocaine as her poison. The ballsy Grandma was due for
- 3:01Speaker 1: her court appearance last Wednesday. However, she was a no
- 3:05Speaker 1: show and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Within
- 3:10Speaker 1: twenty four hours, Caroline the crotch Cocaine Lady had been
- 3:14Speaker 1: detained and appeared in custody to plead guilty to the
- 3:17Speaker 1: possession of a Class A narcotic.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Now it was she did she have it in her huha.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Was she storing it there or was this a new
- 3:29Speaker 2: delivery method.
- 3:32Speaker 1: On October twenty ninth of this year, when Miss Cochrane,
- 3:38Speaker 1: when police showed up, they found Cochrane, the grandmother, to
- 3:42Speaker 1: be in a heightened state. Lawyer the prosecutor, I believe, continued,
- 3:49Speaker 1: she was arrested for a breach of the peace. When
- 3:50Speaker 1: officers put handcuffs on her, they noticed she tensed up
- 3:53Speaker 1: one hand and put one hand down her pants and
- 3:57Speaker 1: pulled out several packets of white palace her and threw
- 4:00Speaker 1: them across the road, right in front of the police officers.
- 4:06Speaker 5: They can see it.
- 4:07Speaker 3: They're right there, several packets, which in.
- 4:10Speaker 1: The treehouse means seven.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Wow.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And one of these days will we'll let you know
- 4:17Speaker 1: exactly why several means seven, and that will happen someday
- 4:21Speaker 1: for those that know, you know, but those that don't
- 4:24Speaker 1: you'll soon find out.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I just want to know what her street value was.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:30Speaker 5: Does it lessen it?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah? Because it was in the in the cave.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I would think you'd want to keep it
- 4:42Speaker 2: in a dry place.
- 4:42Speaker 5: You know, she's a grandma.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Maybe, but it does say that on tomato Tomato. I
- 4:58Speaker 1: mean all the drugs in my house, which are you know,
- 5:00Speaker 1: over the counter things, and even the occasional like two
- 5:04Speaker 1: or three year old prescription bottle. I'll say, please, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: store in a cool dry place.
- 5:11Speaker 3: And that cool dry place is not England. No, no, yeah,
- 5:16Speaker 3: okay that is.
- 5:17Speaker 1: So that actually begs an interesting question. What's drier England
- 5:21Speaker 1: or this granny cooter or is it just wet on
- 5:27Speaker 1: wet or is that just known as an English closet?
- 5:34Speaker 4: Either way really grows.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's gotta be odd.
- 5:38Speaker 2: If you're a guy about to go down on her
- 5:40Speaker 2: and she hands you a little straw, that's gonna be confusing.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I've never done a key bump out of a vagina before.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yeah, the brother you ain't lived.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you're a Hollywood type.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You would think I just you know, just just going
- 6:02Speaker 3: down there and just getting high at the same time.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Wow.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I look at it this way. All the years you
- 6:08Speaker 1: spent living in Los Angeles, RAJ, and you can't say
- 6:11Speaker 1: you did that at least once. I don't think you
- 6:13Speaker 1: did that city proper.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I didn't spend a lot of time with Sean Penn,
- 6:18Speaker 3: so he's known for snorting coke off of different off
- 6:23Speaker 3: of various places.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Gotcha.
- 6:28Speaker 1: The English court heard that the Cochrane the Crouch cocaine
- 6:32Speaker 1: lady had numerous offenses on her record, including two for
- 6:36Speaker 1: drug possession. Her defending attorney, though, said that the crotch
- 6:41Speaker 1: cocaine was for her own personal use. He said, she's
- 6:46Speaker 1: a single grandmother. Okay, that's new to me. I've never
- 6:49Speaker 1: heard of single mother. I've heard of, but not a
- 6:51Speaker 1: single grandmother.
- 6:53Speaker 5: Must be flexible.
- 7:00Speaker 1: When asked why she takes cocaine, she said, well, everyone
- 7:04Speaker 1: has got their poison.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:09Speaker 3: That's a very white defense. No offense to you guys,
- 7:15Speaker 3: But I'm just saying it's like, you know what I'm taking.
- 7:17Speaker 3: We all have our vices. Yes, yours is inside of you,
- 7:21Speaker 3: like I don't know, is okay?
- 7:23Speaker 4: Is that technically possession?
- 7:26Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, that's I think that's the ultimate in possession.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That's like deep possession.
- 7:37Speaker 3: I just I mean, if it's not in your hands,
- 7:40Speaker 3: oh well, I guess it could be.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Well, it was in her hands when she pulled it
- 7:44Speaker 1: out and then threw it into the field trying to
- 7:46Speaker 1: deter the police officers. But the other thing you have
- 7:49Speaker 1: to ask also it's like, okay, well would you want that?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Would you want crotch cocaine?
- 7:55Speaker 4: Like?
- 7:55Speaker 1: Would you Is that something you would look at and
- 7:56Speaker 1: go like yeah, I want that up my nose. Knowing
- 7:58Speaker 1: where it's been, I.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Would just say if that was my dealer, well that
- 8:05Speaker 3: is I mean she's putting that in a very.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Secure, I don't yeah, secure place.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's that's that's taking home delivery to
- 8:18Speaker 3: another level.
- 8:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I also think that I feel like we're touching on
- 8:23Speaker 1: sort of like the white trash version of the Twelve
- 8:25Speaker 1: Days of Christmas, because earlier this year we talked about
- 8:29Speaker 1: toilet wine followed my ditch gin, and now we've got
- 8:33Speaker 1: crotch cocaine. I mean, I think we all know what
- 8:39Speaker 1: the swans are swimming in, and now we know why
- 8:44Speaker 1: those ladies are dancing. It's gonna be real sad though.
- 8:50Speaker 1: What happens to those damn turtle doves?
- 8:55Speaker 4: That poor partrait in a pear tree.
- 8:59Speaker 1: That's not a pair, that's not a tree.
- 9:04Speaker 6: You're in the tree.

- 11:13Speaker 1: lease it from fair least fair lease dot org. The
- 11:19Speaker 1: good news right now back inside the treehouse is that
- 11:24Speaker 1: not a single one of us, Me, Trey, I'm sorry,
- 11:27Speaker 1: me Dan, and then Trey and then U Raj none
- 11:32Speaker 1: of us are bald. And it seems extremely surprising to
- 11:36Speaker 1: me that you can have three guys pretty close in age,
- 11:41Speaker 1: all over forty, all around fifty, and not a single
- 11:45Speaker 1: one of us is bald. I think I'm starting to
- 11:47Speaker 1: get a little bit of like the little crown thing
- 11:50Speaker 1: on the back of my head. It's starting to thin some.
- 11:53Speaker 1: But otherwise we all have full heads of hair, so
- 11:56Speaker 1: I consider ourselves very fortunate.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm well, you can stop.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I mean, like I saw that when I was like
- 12:03Speaker 3: thirty five ish thirty eight.
- 12:07Speaker 1: The crown.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah, the lady that that cuts my hair was like,
- 12:10Speaker 3: you know, you're starting to thin, so you can stop that.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Now if you want to, and I did. I did
- 12:16Speaker 3: the the rogue and all that stuff, and it just
- 12:20Speaker 3: kind of kind of worked. I've never had to keep
- 12:24Speaker 3: up with it. They said, if you stop using it,
- 12:26Speaker 3: it'll fall out. I don't know why mine did not.
- 12:30Speaker 1: But sounds like a good sales tactic.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but mine didn't.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I do the l ly scene, I do the folic
- 12:38Speaker 3: acid and all that stuff, like the vitamins in the morning.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So I think if it helps, if the hair keeps
- 12:43Speaker 1: stinning in the back of my head, you know. Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 1: like the way it kind of is, I'm just gonna
- 12:49Speaker 1: I'm not gonna totally lean into it and do nothing.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I think instead, I'm just gonna see if I can
- 12:53Speaker 1: go on eBay and find that ron pull peel spray
- 12:57Speaker 1: hair in a can and you know, right back there.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I think. I think that sounds like fun.
- 13:04Speaker 4: You're just gonna set it and forget it.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Pretty much.
- 13:09Speaker 2: A lot of times, the thinning in the on the crown,
- 13:12Speaker 2: like for you, Dan, can be from excessive hat wearing.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Interesting, I really don't even wear that many hats anymore
- 13:19Speaker 1: like you used to. I used to, Yeah, but I
- 13:22Speaker 1: mean I don't, And honestly, most of the times when
- 13:25Speaker 1: I when I wear hats now, they're usually backwards because
- 13:29Speaker 1: and I'll have people say this, but I've had this.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I've had people say this to me before. It's like,
- 13:32Speaker 1: especially if I was at a bar and I would
- 13:35Speaker 1: have an older guy say, you know, those heads are
- 13:38Speaker 1: good of their backwards and I said, I'm sorry, is
- 13:40Speaker 1: the sun shining inside this bar? And then he looked
- 13:45Speaker 1: up and looked around. He's like a good point. I'm like, yeah,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I know it is. It's like I'm inside, the hat
- 13:50Speaker 1: doesn't need to be forward. If if I'm outside and
- 13:53Speaker 1: the sun's my eyes, then all the hat will be
- 13:55Speaker 1: is in its proper position.
- 13:56Speaker 5: But other yea, But do you.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Do the sunglasses like on the hat or like the
- 14:00Speaker 3: thing like the baseball players do where they put it
- 14:02Speaker 3: behind there like oh like yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Where they attached the glasses on the back of their neck. Yeah, no,
- 14:09Speaker 1: I get the I have like the little string that
- 14:12Speaker 1: goes around the frame of the glasses and they just
- 14:14Speaker 1: hang off my off my mouth.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Oh so you old people glasses.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It's not old people glasses.
- 14:18Speaker 3: They're there.
- 14:19Speaker 1: It's like it's like the fishing things. So you just
- 14:22Speaker 1: take them off and they dangle around your neck.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Like how old people have their glasses, because I seem
- 14:30Speaker 3: like the young kids, like when you like when you
- 14:32Speaker 3: used to be young.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Uh, I think you used to put it like back
- 14:36Speaker 4: here or like.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I never I never put them back there. If I
- 14:39Speaker 1: ever put them on the back of my neck, that
- 14:40Speaker 1: was out of necessity because I don't like that because
- 14:42Speaker 1: then it makes it look like there's a face back there,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and that's weird.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I I'd never heard the hat thing. I've worn
- 14:50Speaker 3: a hat my whole life. I know that balding is
- 14:54Speaker 3: a sign of excessive testosterone.
- 14:56Speaker 1: So I've heard that, and based on my uh low
- 15:00Speaker 1: testosterol numbers over the years, it ain't that.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Actually, it's a more to do with estrogen. Like I've
- 15:09Speaker 2: been on Propecia for twenty five years. I started losing
- 15:14Speaker 2: my hair when I was about twenty five.
- 15:16Speaker 1: And oh wow, so your hair is a performance enhanced cheater. Yes, no,
- 15:22Speaker 1: shame good on you. The reason why I bring up
- 15:25Speaker 1: the bald thing is because if you are bald and
- 15:28Speaker 1: someone calls you bald at work, there may be a
- 15:31Speaker 1: new legal precedent for you to sue their ass hm
- 15:38Speaker 1: for sexual harassment.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Oh god, yeah, yeah.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It's about to get stupid in here. In twenty nineteen,
- 15:47Speaker 1: an electrician named Tony Finn accused his boss in the
- 15:51Speaker 1: United Kingdom at the British Bun Company, of sexual harassment
- 15:57Speaker 1: after being called and I quote, a stupid bit bald.
- 16:02Speaker 1: A panel of judges, all bald men, ruled that the
- 16:05Speaker 1: term bald is inherently linked to gender, making the remark
- 16:09Speaker 1: a violation of equity laws. The judgment, which took four
- 16:14Speaker 1: years to finalize, could result in compensation for Finn. So
- 16:19Speaker 1: let that sink in. This guy in England at work,
- 16:23Speaker 1: by his supervisor, was called a stupid bald and the
- 16:28Speaker 1: company got sued for sexual harassment, not for calling him stupid,
- 16:33Speaker 1: not for calling him a but instead because he's bald.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Notice how Trey has no problem with any of this.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Well, again, you go to the British Australian use of
- 16:48Speaker 2: that word and that can be endearing.
- 16:50Speaker 5: Maybe it was, you know.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Maybe he gave a gift to the boss and he's like, oh,
- 16:56Speaker 3: thank you, stupid bald.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Yep.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I mean maybe maybe you know he wanted a blank bump.
- 17:08Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 17:11Speaker 4: I didn't know you weren't in the UK. Trey I
- 17:13Speaker 4: hadn't known me.
- 17:18Speaker 6: Uh.
- 17:18Speaker 1: He made the claim against the British Bun Company, which
- 17:20Speaker 1: is another issue. I haven't even looked up that company,
- 17:23Speaker 1: but it's it's in England and apparently they make buns
- 17:26Speaker 1: and I've I've got questions that I don't want the
- 17:29Speaker 1: answers to. I just I like thinking what I'm thinking
- 17:31Speaker 1: in my head and not getting any confirmation on it whatsoever.
- 17:35Speaker 1: I'm just going to continue thinking what I want to
- 17:36Speaker 1: think there.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Uh.
- 17:37Speaker 1: He said he was a victim of sexual harassment after
- 17:40Speaker 1: comments are made about his baldness, including being called a
- 17:43Speaker 1: stupid bald by his supervisor during an argument. His supervisor
- 17:48Speaker 1: also threatened to deck him, saying the encounter. The victim
- 17:52Speaker 1: said the encounter left him fearful for my personal safety.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I guess I'm confused as far as the how we
- 17:58Speaker 2: got to sexual harass. I mean it for anything you
- 18:02Speaker 2: said of they said it was, you know, gender discrimination. Okay,
- 18:06Speaker 2: I mean, still stupid, but at least in the context
- 18:09Speaker 2: that seems it would make more sense. But there doesn't
- 18:13Speaker 2: seem like there's a lot of you know, anything sexual
- 18:15Speaker 2: about this.
- 18:17Speaker 1: The three person panels said the remark crossed the line
- 18:19Speaker 1: and dismissed an argument that the comment was not sexist
- 18:22Speaker 1: because women can be bald too. The judgment said there
- 18:26Speaker 1: was a connection between the word bald and the protected
- 18:29Speaker 1: characteristic of sex, noting that it is much more prevalent
- 18:33Speaker 1: in men than women. The panel, led by Judge Jonathan Bryan,
- 18:37Speaker 1: who's bald, added, we find it inherently related to sex.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I mean, I promise you, if they can find the
- 18:43Speaker 2: ghost of Shinead O'Connor, she would tell them no that
- 18:47Speaker 2: that that is not just, you know, based on gender,
- 18:51Speaker 2: because especially after the tearing up the picture of the
- 18:55Speaker 2: pope thing, I promise you she got called it a lot.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Dance.
- 19:05Speaker 1: I'm not going to the butt stuff she did. She's
- 19:07Speaker 1: the one that brought it up. She's the one that
- 19:09Speaker 1: promoted it. She was the one that uh said to her,
- 19:13Speaker 1: die don't. I don't remember her having butt stuff.
- 19:15Speaker 5: I don't remember her having a line of butt toys.
- 19:19Speaker 1: She never had the chance, tray she died too young.
- 19:24Speaker 5: I mean that cocaine.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Ye, well, none of us knew that. You know, the
- 19:32Speaker 1: real subject of nothing compares to you. She was singing
- 19:35Speaker 1: it to a butt pluck.

- 20:46Speaker 1: I asked these questions mainly just because I like to
- 20:48Speaker 1: see Raj's response to them. But I mean it, Are
- 20:51Speaker 1: you a premature decorator? And if so, to decoration premature
- 21:00Speaker 1: going to but I'm gonna do both for you.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Premature decorating meaning we're in the We're in the throngs
- 21:07Speaker 1: of the holiday season, right You've got it started with Halloween,
- 21:12Speaker 1: then it goes through Thanksgiving and then through you know,
- 21:16Speaker 1: there's Hanikka, Christmas Kwansa, I guess kind of counts as well.
- 21:21Speaker 1: The New Year's all that stuff, the the quote unquote
- 21:26Speaker 1: holiday season. And by premature decorator, I mean, are you
- 21:30Speaker 1: decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving? Because some people see that
- 21:37Speaker 1: as ooh, that's too soon. Like growing up in our family,
- 21:42Speaker 1: we didn't start decorating for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So the Friday, the next day after Thanksgiving in our
- 21:50Speaker 1: house was okay, we're bringing out all the decorations, We're
- 21:52Speaker 1: putting up the tree, and that's the day we would
- 21:55Speaker 1: do all the decorating. But now people, and I don't
- 22:00Speaker 1: know if it's from the COVID years or what, from
- 22:03Speaker 1: people leaving up their Christmas trees into like March and beyond.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Early Christmas decorating is now a thing to where people
- 22:12Speaker 1: just kind of embrace it. Basically as soon as Halloween
- 22:15Speaker 1: is over, they just start throwing up the Christmas stuff,
- 22:17Speaker 1: you know, and judgment be damned.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Well it goes It goes back to one of my
- 22:23Speaker 2: original points of we were I don't know if this
- 22:26Speaker 2: was during the.
- 22:27Speaker 5: Pleasure or what. The Thanksgiving isn't as big of a
- 22:29Speaker 5: deal as it used to be.
- 22:31Speaker 3: But no, yeah, definitely not in my in my house, Uh,
- 22:39Speaker 3: it wasn't a big deal. And I was always offended
- 22:43Speaker 3: every year when they did the Thanksgiving uh play in
- 22:47Speaker 3: in elementary school, I always knew which role I was
- 22:50Speaker 3: going to get. I was, I was passed, I was never.
- 22:55Speaker 3: I just always I just wanted to be a pilgrim.
- 22:58Speaker 5: I just wanted the hat.
- 23:00Speaker 4: I just wanted to hat with the buckle.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Instead I got feathers and moccasins.
- 23:05Speaker 4: That's what I got.
- 23:07Speaker 1: But then you went to Hollywood and they turned you
- 23:09Speaker 1: into a terrorist. Tunes to me like elementary school just
- 23:13Speaker 1: prepared you for adulthood.
- 23:16Speaker 4: For job placement.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Yeah, pretty much.
- 23:20Speaker 1: I ask about the premature decorating because psychologists have now
- 23:25Speaker 1: weighed in. They suggest that decorating for Christmas early can
- 23:30Speaker 1: boost happiness, offering comfort and rekindling warm childhood emotions. I
- 23:35Speaker 1: will freely admit the reason why I love Christmas as
- 23:38Speaker 1: much as I do isn't because of birthday, baby Jesus
- 23:40Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff. It's because it's some
- 23:42Speaker 1: of my happiest memories as a child. It's almost like
- 23:46Speaker 1: there was a moratorium on family fighting and abuse during
- 23:50Speaker 1: the holidays at least for a little bit. And Christmas
- 23:53Speaker 1: was fun and it was magical, and the family felt
- 23:55Speaker 1: good and close and joy and happiness and all that.
- 23:59Speaker 1: That's why I love christ Was to the days, because
- 24:01Speaker 1: I have those warm and fuzzies from childhood.
- 24:04Speaker 4: That's very sweet.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Man. My dad told me that Santa was too busy.
- 24:08Speaker 3: He was a very busy man, and he couldn't get
- 24:11Speaker 3: to our house, even though everybody on either side of
- 24:14Speaker 3: us and across the street apparently he had visited, and
- 24:18Speaker 3: he said my dad said, he called and said he
- 24:21Speaker 3: couldn't make it, and to take me to Toys r US.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Honestly, it's nice that your dad even went that far. Yeah,
- 24:28Speaker 1: I mean, but it's still I.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Mean, we were in the parking lot. I was eight,
- 24:33Speaker 3: and I just looked at him and go, He's not real,
- 24:35Speaker 3: is he? And he goes, okay, that was it.
- 24:38Speaker 1: That was I could have just told you that Santa
- 24:40Speaker 1: was Jeffrey the Giraffe.
- 24:42Speaker 4: He might as well. It was like he told me
- 24:44Speaker 4: to get you some nerve.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I'm like that.
- 24:49Speaker 4: He's not real.
- 24:51Speaker 1: A study in the Journal of Environmental Psychology supports this,
- 24:54Speaker 1: noting that holiday decorations spread a sense of friendliness and
- 24:58Speaker 1: togetherness among neighbors. Embracing early decorations extends the festive excitement,
- 25:03Speaker 1: creating a cheerful atmosphere that promotes well being in a
- 25:06Speaker 1: stress filled world. So if you are a premature decorator,
- 25:11Speaker 1: I got embrace it because chances are you're just a
- 25:14Speaker 1: little bit happier than everybody else. Also, you probably don't
- 25:17Speaker 1: give a flying what anybody else thinks. So pat's off
- 25:20Speaker 1: to you there.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Okay, Trey, you look very judging on this. I can
- 25:27Speaker 1: see your I can see your hamster wheel spinning with
- 25:29Speaker 1: a little Santa hat on.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I've you know, so when back in your days, when
- 25:35Speaker 2: you were like working at kV I L and they
- 25:36Speaker 2: started playing Christmas music, you felt a sense of joy?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Oh no, no, that that was the dark ages of
- 25:45Speaker 1: Christmas in my life. I was, uh uh for the
- 25:53Speaker 1: least you. That's that's how I felt about that. There.
- 25:56Speaker 1: It took me years from doing those Christmas specials at
- 26:00Speaker 1: Avil in Dallas. We're keep in mind that was back
- 26:02Speaker 1: in like two thousand to two thousand and two. The
- 26:05Speaker 1: Christmas special was only for like twenty four or forty
- 26:08Speaker 1: eight hours of all Christmas music. Then it went back
- 26:10Speaker 1: to normal. Nowadays, radio stations start playing Christmas music, you know,
- 26:15Speaker 1: November one. Some may even go before Halloween. Now I
- 26:21Speaker 1: don't know, because some people are just crazy. But because
- 26:24Speaker 1: of the two years that I spent on Christmas duty
- 26:27Speaker 1: at KVIL, it took me a solid fifteen years before
- 26:32Speaker 1: I could listen to Christmas music again.
- 26:35Speaker 4: Gotcha?
- 26:36Speaker 3: Okay, So maybe the situation overseas and like all the
- 26:42Speaker 3: conflicts is because they don't have.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Premature decorating.
- 26:47Speaker 3: Is that maybe that would solve all the issues. It might.
- 26:51Speaker 1: According to psychologists, premature decorators are happier than everybody else.
- 26:55Speaker 1: So maybe if Putin would just put up a Christmas tree,
- 26:58Speaker 1: this would all be a nicer planet.
- 27:00Speaker 3: That's what we're gonna do that. I'm gonna next year.
- 27:03Speaker 3: I'm going to the border of Indian Pakistan.
- 27:05Speaker 1: And line it with Christmas trees. If you line it
- 27:10Speaker 1: with crucifixes, it make turn ugly. We'll be careful casual
- 27:24Speaker 1: listening to the what's that not here? What you say? Oh,
- 27:39Speaker 1: just shut up?
- 27:52Speaker 6: You're in the treehouse.

- 28:33Speaker 3: All I want for Christmas is cash well played, well play.

- 28:58Speaker 1: under the tree.
- 29:01Speaker 4: Our listeners is like, what's the joke about this? I mean,
- 29:04Speaker 4: it's a fine sweater.
- 29:07Speaker 5: It's really soft.
- 29:11Speaker 4: I'm crying. That's so.
- 29:15Speaker 3: That made my day.
- 29:16Speaker 4: That made my Christmas. Thank you.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I think on Christmas, Raj, what we'll do is
- 29:22Speaker 1: we'll send you a We'll send you a clip of
- 29:24Speaker 1: that and that'll be our Christmas gift to you, or.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Just something Cashmere would work as well. Oh that was
- 29:37Speaker 3: so good. Thank you so much for that. See I
- 29:43Speaker 3: believe when he turns off Fox News, I believe al
- 29:47Speaker 3: Jazeera comes on for just a second.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Well, Trey's got to keep up with everything going on
- 29:53Speaker 1: in the world.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's where he gets it's uh, his
- 30:00Speaker 3: views on all things subcontinent India and Pakistan is just
- 30:06Speaker 3: the two minutes before he falls us, before the niqual
- 30:08Speaker 3: zs kicks in the two minutes it's on Al Jazeera
- 30:13Speaker 3: before it fades the black and he goes.
- 30:16Speaker 4: I can relate to Raj.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I can't wait till the next time I see Raj.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him about all I have learned.
- 30:28Speaker 4: In the two minutes before he falls asleep.
- 30:30Speaker 3: And there it is.
- 30:33Speaker 1: All right. It is time four one of our new
- 30:42Speaker 1: features here inside the Treehouse, a little game we called
- 30:45Speaker 1: Believe it or Not. So, Trey Raj, are you ready
- 30:50Speaker 1: to play Believe it or Not? Here inside the Treehouse?
- 30:52Speaker 3: I am?
- 30:54Speaker 5: You bet you that.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Today's subject of Believe it or Not is Canada has
- 31:07Speaker 1: introduced an unhappiness leave for workers. Believe it or not?
- 31:15Speaker 1: Canada has introduced an unhappiness leave for workers. Do you
- 31:22Speaker 1: believe it or not? Trey will start with you yes
- 31:26Speaker 1: or no?
- 31:26Speaker 5: Do you believe it or not? Yeah?
- 31:30Speaker 2: For a country that had to pass a law that
- 31:34Speaker 2: said because they say I'm sorry so much that can't
- 31:36Speaker 2: be considered a confession. Yes, I'm gonna go with I
- 31:39Speaker 2: believe it all right?
- 31:40Speaker 1: And Raj, do you believe.
- 31:42Speaker 3: It or not? Yes, I have very I have a
- 31:45Speaker 3: lot of Canadian friends and they will You can punch
- 31:48Speaker 3: them in the face and they'll apologize to you. Uh so,
- 31:51Speaker 3: Uh I find an unhappiness leave to be one hundred percent.
- 31:59Speaker 1: You are are both wrong. Unhappiness leave is real for workers,
- 32:06Speaker 1: but not in Canada, but surprise, surprise, in communist China. Yeah,
- 32:18Speaker 1: that's why I couldn't do believe it or not by
- 32:20Speaker 1: saying do you believe China has introduced an unhappiness leave
- 32:24Speaker 1: for workers? Because I don't think there's any way you
- 32:26Speaker 1: would have you would have bought into that.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Those kids are going on striking until they get a
- 32:35Speaker 2: little bit more cotton candy.
- 32:40Speaker 1: At lunchtime with the TMU factory is going to get real.
- 32:43Speaker 4: One point seven billion people on PTO right now.
- 32:48Speaker 1: A Chinese company has introduced an unhappy leave policy, allowing
- 32:52Speaker 1: employees up to ten days off if they aren't in
- 32:55Speaker 1: a good mood. That's on top of sick leave. The
- 32:59Speaker 1: policy is raised for promoting mental health and work life balance,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and was created by its founder to combat long working
- 33:07Speaker 1: hours and improve morale. Just the fact that this is
- 33:11Speaker 1: coming from a Chinese company is truly astounding.
- 33:14Speaker 5: Yeah, well the mother doesn't say let you be unhappy,
- 33:20Speaker 5: but you know.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Yeah, they're known for boosting morale.
- 33:27Speaker 1: For Yeah, like you remember the guy that stood in
- 33:29Speaker 1: front of the tank, Yeah, he was on unhappiness leave.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Walmart has nets around the building. I don't know if
- 33:46Speaker 3: you know this. They have nets around the building so
- 33:49Speaker 3: you can't commit suicide. It just catches you and sends
- 33:54Speaker 3: you back to work.
- 33:55Speaker 5: Jesus.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Well, like, I mean, it's uh, I mean, it's it's
- 34:00Speaker 1: obviously it seems silly that that China would be the
- 34:02Speaker 1: last country that would have a company that wouldn't, you know,
- 34:06Speaker 1: implement unhappiness. The only thing is just because you take
- 34:09Speaker 1: the unhappiness leave doesn't mean you're going home. I mean
- 34:12Speaker 1: it's common, it's China. You may just end up in
- 34:14Speaker 1: a camp.
- 34:19Speaker 3: I'm gonna go home. No, you're not not today, did he?

- 35:34Speaker 1: the Treehouse now, I'm Dan, along with Trey and of
- 35:37Speaker 1: course Raj. It is Monday, November twenty fifth, twenty twenty four,
- 35:44Speaker 1: so let's celebrate with some birthdays. Katie Cassidy is thirty
- 35:49Speaker 1: eight today. She is David Cassidy's daughter, and she was
- 35:54Speaker 1: also the Black Canary on the AEROTV series from the
- 35:58Speaker 1: WB Slash ced whatever it was at the time. When
- 36:01Speaker 1: I watched that show, I enjoyed that show, and you
- 36:05Speaker 1: watched it too, Roj, I did so, so you know,
- 36:08Speaker 1: Katie Cassidy is very pretty young lady.
- 36:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:10Speaker 3: It was Justin Hartley, right who played the Green Oh no,
- 36:14Speaker 3: it was before he was on Smallville.
- 36:16Speaker 4: He played the Green Arrow and the Yeah.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Now, the guy that played Green Arrow on Arrow was
- 36:21Speaker 1: Stephen amel aml whatever is Yeah.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Yeah, still a good show.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I enjoyed it. Yeah, I guess that's really all I
- 36:30Speaker 1: gotta say about. Happy birthday to Katie Cassidy. She's thirty eight.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I will say this she if you, if you go
- 36:35Speaker 1: back and watch or if you noticed when you were
- 36:37Speaker 1: watching that show, It's not like Katie Cassidy was in
- 36:41Speaker 1: any sense of the word overweight whatsoever.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Right, okay, but.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Once her character started to shift into more of an
- 36:49Speaker 1: active like where she started to turn into the Black
- 36:52Speaker 1: Canary kind of superhero thing, she get ripped.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Ripped. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I did notice that, that's true.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Yeah, So Happy birthday to Katie Cassidy. She's thirty eight today.
- 37:04Speaker 1: David Cassidy's daughter good on her Yay, Hollywood nepotism undefeated.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Joey Chestnutt turns forty one today. He is the hot
- 37:12Speaker 1: dog eating champion of the world. He is forty one
- 37:16Speaker 1: today to me make sure, Yeah, yeah, he's still alive.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Jenna and Barbara Bush, the Bush Twins, they are forty
- 37:24Speaker 1: three today.
- 37:27Speaker 4: What okay?
- 37:29Speaker 3: So they went to ut and did trace face immediately
- 37:33Speaker 3: went nope.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 37:36Speaker 3: They turned forty three, but their ID says they're seventeen.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Forever young.
- 37:42Speaker 2: With some parties that they were at when they were
- 37:44Speaker 2: in their young wild days, and they were a tandem,
- 37:49Speaker 2: very nice, nice girls, but they they.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Didn't do anything that any other you know, girls were
- 37:57Speaker 1: that most girls at ut or whatever didn't do. It's
- 38:01Speaker 1: just that their father was president.
- 38:02Speaker 5: Yeah, they just had secret server. That's what I was protection.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:06Speaker 1: The difference was is that the person holding their bong
- 38:10Speaker 1: was a secret service.
- 38:15Speaker 3: I just enjoyed the try to pass off the I'm
- 38:19Speaker 3: twenty one fake ID with the secret service right behind you,
- 38:23Speaker 3: the Indian.
- 38:25Speaker 4: The guy who on the liquor throws Indian.
- 38:27Speaker 3: He's like, I don't think so, I'm.
- 38:31Speaker 1: Not dying it. Happy birthday to the to the Bush Twins.
- 38:37Speaker 1: He played Turtle on HBO's Entourage. Jerry Ferrara turns forty five.
- 38:41Speaker 1: Also turning forty five, Joel Kinneman. He was RoboCop in
- 38:46Speaker 1: the New RoboCop movie. He was also in AMC's The Killing,
- 38:49Speaker 1: and he was Rick Flagg in the two Suicide Squad movies.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Joel Kinneman forty five Today. Did anyone see the RoboCop remake?
- 38:59Speaker 3: You did.
- 39:02Speaker 1: All right, Yeah I did.
- 39:07Speaker 4: Did Hollywood send you a thank you letter?
- 39:10Speaker 1: A log with a screener? Yeah, they said, you know what,
- 39:14Speaker 1: you've done so much for us? Just here, this one's
- 39:16Speaker 1: on us. I did. I watched that movie and and
- 39:19Speaker 1: it was it was kind of ridiculous. So keep in mind,
- 39:21Speaker 1: the original Robo Cop was over the top, it was
- 39:23Speaker 1: meant to be. It was ridiculous. But in this one,
- 39:25Speaker 1: when he gets instead of getting shot to pieces like
- 39:28Speaker 1: in the original RoboCop, in the New Robo Cop, he
- 39:31Speaker 1: gets blown up next to his car. So all that's
- 39:33Speaker 1: basically left is like it's and then I'm sorry, but
- 39:36Speaker 1: this is funny. You can just go look up RoboCop
- 39:38Speaker 1: remake and then you can see his his physical remains
- 39:42Speaker 1: on a Google image search. It's basically like a chunk
- 39:45Speaker 1: of his face and like like an artery going down
- 39:49Speaker 1: and then like a chunk of pancreas and that's like
- 39:52Speaker 1: all that was left. That's what they built, uh the
- 39:55Speaker 1: machine around, and it showed it in the film. I'm like,
- 39:58Speaker 1: this is just dumb. The to say that that guy
- 40:01Speaker 1: was alive and.
- 40:02Speaker 5: You watched.
- 40:09Speaker 4: That. That was the part that was unbelievable.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I did. I watched it to the bitter bidder
- 40:14Speaker 1: and thank you very much.
- 40:20Speaker 6: You're in the tree house.

- 41:34Speaker 1: Jerry will get those and then I pass them on
- 41:37Speaker 1: to us. That was a choke, all right. One last
- 41:41Speaker 1: thing to take care of here inside the treehouse today,
- 41:44Speaker 1: and that is is a banana worth six point two
- 41:48Speaker 1: million dollars? Well, I guess the short answer would be,
- 41:50Speaker 1: if someone's willing to pay it, then yes. But to
- 41:55Speaker 1: the rest of us that don't have that kind of
- 41:56Speaker 1: stupid amount of money, no, that's just really, really dumb.
- 42:01Speaker 1: That's the world we live in. Because I don't know
- 42:04Speaker 1: if you guys remember this, but all the way back
- 42:06Speaker 1: in twenty nineteen, a banana duct tape to a wall
- 42:10Speaker 1: sold for one hundred and twenty thousand dollars, there was
- 42:14Speaker 1: a social media uproar, an age old debate about the
- 42:17Speaker 1: meaning of art ensued. It was actually titled Comedian is
- 42:22Speaker 1: the art piece by Marizio Catalan. It was his viral
- 42:26Speaker 1: creation back in twenty nineteen and originally sold for one
- 42:30Speaker 1: hundred twenty thousand dollars just a banana duct tape to
- 42:34Speaker 1: a white canvas. Well, there have now been three additions.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Let me start over one of the artworks. Three Editions
- 42:46Speaker 1: smashed estimates to sell at Sotheby's in New York last
- 42:51Speaker 1: week four six point two four million dollars.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Yeah wow for a banana.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Not just any banana, but a banana duct tape to
- 43:02Speaker 1: a white canvas. So the original sold for one hundred
- 43:05Speaker 1: twenty thousand dollars in twenty nineteen, and then Maurzio Catalan's
- 43:09Speaker 1: viral creation title Comedian proved a sound investment for one collector.
- 43:14Speaker 1: One of the artworks Three Editions smashed estimates to sell
- 43:17Speaker 1: for six point twenty four million dollars at a Sotheby's
- 43:20Speaker 1: auction in New York last week. The auction house had
- 43:24Speaker 1: estimated the work would go for between one and one
- 43:27Speaker 1: and a half million dollars, and bidding began at eight
- 43:30Speaker 1: hundred thousand dollars.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:34Speaker 1: The winner of the new banana is Chinese cryptocurrency entrepreneur
- 43:40Speaker 1: Justin's son. He outbid six rivals to require the piece,
- 43:44Speaker 1: later announcing he would eat the banana as part of
- 43:46Speaker 1: the experience. So imagine being so rich you buy a
- 43:52Speaker 1: banana that's considered art at six point twenty four million dollars,
- 43:56Speaker 1: and then you probably eat it.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I'm so glad you said that because I was just
- 43:59Speaker 2: about to say, you know, whitey mcwhite.
- 44:02Speaker 3: So was I.
- 44:05Speaker 4: I was like, what's the white dude's name? And then
- 44:06Speaker 4: you said Justin. I was like, we're on our way.
- 44:10Speaker 4: And then you gave him an Asian last name. I
- 44:12Speaker 4: was like, of course he.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Ate its name.
- 44:14Speaker 5: That's his name.
- 44:16Speaker 1: It's a Chinese crypto bro.
- 44:18Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like like we had a story
- 44:21Speaker 2: I don't know two three weeks ago about how you know,
- 44:24Speaker 2: the thing about your monkey typewriter.
- 44:26Speaker 5: You know, end of time.
- 44:28Speaker 2: They wouldn't you come up with the works of Shakespeare,
- 44:30Speaker 2: but they can come up with a million dollar art.
- 44:36Speaker 5: A monkey and a duct tape artist.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that actually makes sense. You put a monkey in
- 44:43Speaker 1: a room with a banana and some duct tape and
- 44:46Speaker 1: next thing you know, you got a seven figure art piece.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Again, the same thing. I was like, oh, Tray, just
- 44:55Speaker 4: say white people and then you started to nobody.
- 45:04Speaker 5: It just did.
- 45:06Speaker 3: It.
- 45:07Speaker 5: They were a white person thought of it.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Absolutely, a white person made the canvas.
- 45:15Speaker 8: Uh.
- 45:15Speaker 1: The artist's name is Marizzio Catalan.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Yeah he's still white. I don't care where you put him.
- 45:23Speaker 3: He's still a white dude with time on his hands and.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'm look him up here more cattle man. Let's see here.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Six point four million dollars. His parents took unhappy leave,
- 45:40Speaker 3: is what they did.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it appears that he is a white dude.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Does he kind of look like Trey because they all
- 45:52Speaker 3: do in my head.
- 45:54Speaker 4: I'm not saying.
- 45:55Speaker 5: I just see him driving an alpha Romeo with a sidekick.
- 46:02Speaker 1: And it's actually Clyde the Orangutang doing the art, and
- 46:06Speaker 1: then this guy's just taking the credit for it and
- 46:07Speaker 1: all the cash.
- 46:09Speaker 4: But they're both smoking and drinking and coffee.
- 46:13Speaker 1: The Italian version of bj the Bear is really entertaining.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Just a monkey looking up the window or in the
- 46:27Speaker 1: sidecar of a motorcycle looking at you going to job.
- 46:33Speaker 3: They'll never understand the art, never.
