Pepco Rate Hike Cut in Half | Washington DC News
Pepco customers in Maryland will see a smaller-than-expected electric bill hike—just $3.94 more per month, down from their initial $10+ request. Regulators slashed the approved revenue increase to $50.9 million, less than half of what Pepco asked for, after reviewing costs and testimony. The move was especially tough on White Flint infrastructure projects, deemed unwise by the commission, and rejected inflation-based rate hikes.
