- 0:27Speaker 2: one two three, and we nailed it.
- 0:29Speaker 3: I don't know about that, Amy, but listen, we hear.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I feel good about it, Melissa, I really do. I'm
- 0:33Speaker 2: not going to question it. I'm fully fully engaged, enraged. No,
- 0:40Speaker 2: I'm kidding.
- 0:42Speaker 3: You're you're checked in.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You are not disengaging. Amy and I are very happy
- 0:47Speaker 1: to be here today to bring you a Darling Bishower,
- 0:51Speaker 1: by the way, a creation from Amy's brain.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Amy came up with his creation.
- 0:56Speaker 1: For those of you listening, those of you who like
- 0:59Speaker 1: myself and Amy, you have called yourselves Darling bushes.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you've named yourself. So we respect that and we're inspired.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Right, and so like Mandy and I have the Eminem Hour,
- 1:12Speaker 1: this is going to be the Darling Busch Hour with
- 1:14Speaker 1: your bish therapist and the incomparable Amy Phillips.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Who just toured Las Vegas and Bravocan and Cabaret Mey.
- 1:24Speaker 2: And hot off of our Obgyn appointment this morning talking
- 1:28Speaker 2: about Perry menopausal. You got it, She's coming to you
- 1:32Speaker 2: and we are here to discuss anything from the Real
- 1:35Speaker 2: Housewives to the most popular documentaries. And let's tell let's
- 1:42Speaker 2: tell the darling bushes when we're going to do this
- 1:44Speaker 2: how often and when?
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Thank you, Amy, So we are going to do this.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Mandy and I do our eminem Hour at the end
- 1:50Speaker 1: of the month. So Amy and I are going to
- 1:52Speaker 1: do our Darling Bish Hour at the.
- 1:54Speaker 3: At the top of the month.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah. So you guys are really gonna launch your months.
- 1:58Speaker 2: You're the beginning of the month with us. That sounds weird.
- 2:02Speaker 2: You're gonna start the beginning of your month with a
- 2:05Speaker 2: real pep in your step, your conte.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Hearing, you know, whether it be obgi n visits or
- 2:12Speaker 1: you know, Potomac, whatever it is we want to talk about.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And here's the thing, Amy, here's what I love about
- 2:17Speaker 1: podcasting with you.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It's fun. We have so much fun.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And the thing that I like about this new hour
- 2:25Speaker 1: not to necessarily pitch it to people because I think
- 2:28Speaker 1: people are already in but sometimes your bish therapist can
- 2:32Speaker 1: be a little serious.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Well, you know you're not gonna be comical about certain
- 2:37Speaker 2: issues because you're respectful like that. But I think what
- 2:40Speaker 2: you're saying is podcasting should be fun.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Yes, that is what I'm saying.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I need more giggly squad in my life, the giggly
- 2:49Speaker 1: squad of life. Okay, And I do podcasting should be
- 2:53Speaker 1: fun and we have so much fun, and I do
- 2:55Speaker 1: think that people will enjoy our key key.
- 2:57Speaker 2: So today, well, what.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Amy and I are going to be bringing to you
- 3:01Speaker 1: is we're going to talk a little bit about breaking
- 3:03Speaker 1: Bravo news, which is details of the Candy and Tod split.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Because wow, Bethany, Wow, Yeah.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Were you surprised Amy when you saw news of that?
- 3:14Speaker 2: I was? I was. I mean, I know, I know
- 3:18Speaker 2: I shouldn't be, but it's like they had gotten so
- 3:21Speaker 2: far that you start to forget about people's marriages when
- 3:25Speaker 2: they get that far into it, Like for example, Rachel
- 3:28Speaker 2: and Roger. You know they got a divorce. We're seeing
- 3:30Speaker 2: them on Beverly Hills, right, you see these you know,
- 3:33Speaker 2: you just don't expect that, you know, Kyl and Moe.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I didn't expect that, although you know when you look
- 3:39Speaker 2: a little, get the magnifying glass out and start to
- 3:41Speaker 2: look a little closer, and you say, yeah, it was
- 3:43Speaker 2: just a matter of time. But yes, of course, shocking, shocking.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Shocking you.
- 3:50Speaker 1: And you know, here's the thing, I'm never shocked because
- 3:55Speaker 1: having done marital counting, I've done couples counting, marital counting,
- 3:59Speaker 1: family counting, the whole thing. You just really learn that,
- 4:03Speaker 1: no matter what people put on the outside, all marriage
- 4:07Speaker 1: is work. Which listen, we're both married. You know. I've
- 4:10Speaker 1: been with my hobby for twenty three years. You've been
- 4:14Speaker 1: with Brett for.
- 4:15Speaker 3: A long one million. Yeah, so it's like counting.
- 4:20Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:23Speaker 1: The one thing we can tell you is that marriage
- 4:26Speaker 1: is a lot of work. You have to work as
- 4:28Speaker 1: hard at your relationship as you do on yourself and
- 4:31Speaker 1: your career and all these other things. And so I
- 4:34Speaker 1: definitely can see how especially since they started on a
- 4:38Speaker 1: really tough foundation in terms of like Mama Joyce just
- 4:42Speaker 1: really really put the screws to that relationship early on.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I'm I actually I'm.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Shocked that it lasted as long as it did, if
- 4:50Speaker 1: I'm being honest.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you have a good point there, and
- 4:54Speaker 2: I will say that earlier on in their marriage. I
- 4:57Speaker 2: would have seen them potentially breaking up then. But then
- 5:00Speaker 2: once they got through, you know, and they've been going
- 5:02Speaker 2: for so long, I just thought they have it, and
- 5:05Speaker 2: I wonder what, Well, I think we all know what
- 5:07Speaker 2: Mama Joyce is doing right now.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Oh, dancing on Todd's grave, dancing, spitting, probably setting us
- 5:15Speaker 1: close on fire.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I mean, I can say.
- 5:17Speaker 2: In the street, Yeah, she's really celebrating in the streets.
- 5:21Speaker 2: She's taken to the.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Streets outside, She's said, Kenya more hair care, Goodbye Todd,
- 5:30Speaker 1: goodbye Todd.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Oh that's right, exactly.
- 5:34Speaker 1: So well, let me give some some key details for
- 5:39Speaker 1: what we.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Know at this point.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yes, so get down.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Oh I'm a but break it down you in the studio.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Candy filed for divorce on November twenty five. According to People,
- 5:52Speaker 1: the reason is she learned that Todd had been talking
- 5:57Speaker 1: to other women behind her without her knowledge. Now, Amy,
- 6:03Speaker 1: here's the part that I was confused about. I saw
- 6:06Speaker 1: on social media that they had an open relationship, and
- 6:12Speaker 1: there was some sort of issue with someone who had
- 6:17Speaker 1: been featured on Atlanta who may have been a girlfriend
- 6:20Speaker 1: of Candy or Todd.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Did you see any of what I'm talking.
- 6:24Speaker 2: About, yes, and then there may have been some sort
- 6:28Speaker 2: of alleged throuple. And then right, it turns out perhaps
- 6:33Speaker 2: that maybe Candy, you know, continued that thrupple minus one,
- 6:39Speaker 2: So then it's just a couple and it's she and
- 6:42Speaker 2: this other gal. That's something about that. Yeah, yeah, that
- 6:47Speaker 2: is what I saw.
- 6:48Speaker 1: But what I'm reading it doesn't sound like that right,
- 6:50Speaker 1: because it sounds like she wasn't stepping out, he was
- 6:54Speaker 1: stepping out.
- 6:56Speaker 3: That's what That's what she's reporting. Because she has taken
- 7:00Speaker 3: to Amazon Live.
- 7:01Speaker 1: She expressed being emotionally broken and all over the place,
- 7:04Speaker 1: but she said that they're focusing on you know, she's
- 7:07Speaker 1: focusing on her children and that they're working to co
- 7:10Speaker 1: parent Ace and Blaze, and despite filing for divorce, they
- 7:14Speaker 1: spent Thanksgiving together, which I thought could be awkward. But
- 7:17Speaker 1: then I saw a picture and there was like forty
- 7:18Speaker 1: people there. I was like, oh, that's great, Okay, you
- 7:21Speaker 1: could do that.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that is a good buffer because imagine between them.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it was just like Candy Todd and the kids,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and it's like, well, this is awkward.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah, Candy Djams were I'm sure at the table Candy
- 7:35Speaker 2: Jams were at one table and Todd was at the other.
- 7:37Speaker 2: You remember Marlowe called Candy Candy Dams.
- 7:40Speaker 3: No, of course, that's an amazing callback.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I know, I you know, Mama Joyce, I can't believe that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: You know, perhaps at that point it things hadn't gotten
- 7:49Speaker 2: as bad as they are now, because like he's asking
- 7:53Speaker 2: for full custody.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Correct, correct, he is seeking primary physical custody, which is bonkers.
- 8:00Speaker 1: By the way, Candy is a wonderful mom, she is
- 8:03Speaker 1: a boss, she is worldwide and she there is no
- 8:06Speaker 1: way that he should have primary custody number one. And
- 8:10Speaker 1: then well, because he said by the way, he claims
- 8:13Speaker 1: he cares for the kids while Candy works out of.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Town, and it's like, yeah, that's just called parenting.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Do I think p que Todd Tucker Mauricio, I think
- 8:23Speaker 1: everyone needs a little refresher on what it means to
- 8:27Speaker 1: be a father. Being a father doesn't mean you watch
- 8:29Speaker 1: your kids. It doesn't mean you're babysitting. It doesn't mean
- 8:32Speaker 1: you see them once in a while when you're in town.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That's not parenting. That's bullshit.
- 8:39Speaker 2: He also said it in the words of like when
- 8:43Speaker 2: she's going out and chasing her dreams. You know, he
- 8:47Speaker 2: framed it in such a way that was more than
- 8:50Speaker 2: just like she's on a business trip. It's like he
- 8:53Speaker 2: is putting it under the umbrella of like they don't matter,
- 8:58Speaker 2: the kids don't matter because her fame and her goals
- 9:03Speaker 2: as a career in her world of careers are more
- 9:06Speaker 2: important than her kids. That's the way he's framing it.
- 9:11Speaker 1: That is some bs. Candy loves her children. She is
- 9:15Speaker 1: an amazing mom. Dad is trying to challenge the validity
- 9:18Speaker 1: of their prenap.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Well, what do you think pays for your lifestyle?
- 9:21Speaker 2: Todd? Oh, this is it? Used me up?
- 9:24Speaker 3: Is it you? Or is it can't? Worldwide? Candy, it's Candy,
- 9:28Speaker 3: you have nothing.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I do believe Candy's a great mother. I don't agree
- 9:33Speaker 2: with him trying to get full custody and saying these
- 9:38Speaker 2: things that he's saying regarding her going out and doing
- 9:41Speaker 2: what she's doing, because case in point, she's going out
- 9:46Speaker 2: to do what she's doing so that you can live
- 9:48Speaker 2: the life that you have been living exactly and what
- 9:52Speaker 2: would have continued to be living. And now you have
- 9:55Speaker 2: a problem with it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Now that he's fighting for his coin, right, I mean
- 10:01Speaker 1: it's like, to me, it's so transparent and it's so ugly.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But what I do love is that Now I don't
- 10:07Speaker 1: know how true this is, but I saw all over
- 10:09Speaker 1: social media is that Candy plans or the lawyer plans
- 10:13Speaker 1: to use Bravo footage because when Candy and Todd were
- 10:17Speaker 1: getting their prenup, it was.
- 10:19Speaker 3: All filmed, all of it.
- 10:22Speaker 1: And I thought, Candy Yams, you are a genius on
- 10:25Speaker 1: a hundred million little levels, because that is a boss
- 10:29Speaker 1: move right there.
- 10:31Speaker 2: I saw the footage on All about the Tea and
- 10:34Speaker 2: there were they are reporting that, oh my god, All
- 10:38Speaker 2: about the Tea just has it all like they just
- 10:40Speaker 2: they do.
- 10:41Speaker 3: They love All about the Tea. They're so good.
- 10:44Speaker 2: But they they're basically saying, I think it was somewhere
- 10:48Speaker 2: on here. I can't find it anyway. The point is
- 10:50Speaker 2: that that footage that that Todd's lawyer is trying to
- 10:56Speaker 2: prove that there was an error made when that prenuptial
- 11:02Speaker 2: agreement was being signed because the lawyer wasn't there and
- 11:08Speaker 2: Todd did it without I want to say, like the
- 11:11Speaker 2: not I don't want to say consent, but without consulting
- 11:15Speaker 2: his attorney, and so the attorney did not know he
- 11:19Speaker 2: was going to be signing that prenup, which was two
- 11:22Speaker 2: hours before they were getting married, Okay, right, right, So
- 11:27Speaker 2: and so the word on the street is that the
- 11:30Speaker 2: attorney is going to take issue with the validity of
- 11:33Speaker 2: the actual prenup.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Uh, which is just such.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Listen, that's their job, right to find loopholes to screw
- 11:42Speaker 1: over women would work really hard for their money, right,
- 11:45Speaker 1: that's a lawyer's job.
- 11:47Speaker 3: But it's just disgusting. And also, here's the thing.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I don't do you remember what season it was that
- 11:53Speaker 1: when they were getting married, because I didn't write that down,
- 11:57Speaker 1: but I remember vividly watching because I'm a huge fan
- 12:00Speaker 1: of Atlanta. I've watched it from the beginning, and I
- 12:04Speaker 1: remember vividly that Candy like stood ten toes down and
- 12:08Speaker 1: she was like, we aren't doing this unless you sign
- 12:12Speaker 1: this prenup.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Yes, and that's it.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And they fought about it and it was drama for
- 12:16Speaker 1: the whole season, and then he was finally like he
- 12:19Speaker 1: just gave into it.
- 12:20Speaker 3: He got the same.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah, right, he should have given in a long time ago.
- 12:25Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, because it's like, what kind of
- 12:27Speaker 1: person I don't know I just I just think it's
- 12:29Speaker 1: so gross when people are trying to go for money grabs,
- 12:32Speaker 1: because Candy it's not like she comes from money. It's
- 12:35Speaker 1: not like she's a Southern charm mailbox money gal. She
- 12:40Speaker 1: worked and she you know, blood, sweat and toil for
- 12:44Speaker 1: all of this. She wrote some of the most amazing
- 12:46Speaker 1: songs no scrubs. I mean that, it's just like I
- 12:50Speaker 1: listened to it this morning and I think of Candy
- 12:52Speaker 1: and I'm just like, you're.
- 12:52Speaker 2: A genius speaking of her music. I mean I immediately thought,
- 12:57Speaker 2: you know, once I saw the headline of divorce, I'm like, oh,
- 12:59Speaker 2: she's gonna writ some good music.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I mean, I don't you know, I don't know what's
- 13:02Speaker 2: going to come of it, but I know that whatever happens,
- 13:06Speaker 2: you know, she creates out of everything that she's in.
- 13:09Speaker 2: And I think this is going to be huge. When
- 13:12Speaker 2: you look back at that footage and you see the
- 13:15Speaker 2: way that they were arguing about this prenup at like
- 13:18Speaker 2: the wedding venue, Yeah, it's the most uncomfortable thing because
- 13:22Speaker 2: I keep thinking, like, how did Candy even go through
- 13:25Speaker 2: with this after having that argument with him, because like
- 13:28Speaker 2: they both walk away from the conversation and he's like,
- 13:32Speaker 2: but there are some things in there that I have
- 13:34Speaker 2: an issue with, and she's like, well, what are they?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Like you can't even say what they are? What are they?
- 13:39Speaker 2: And one of his points was, you know, getting if
- 13:43Speaker 2: something happens and we split, getting out of the house
- 13:46Speaker 2: within thirty days, Like how am I supposed to find
- 13:48Speaker 2: a house within thirty days? You know? That was one
- 13:50Speaker 2: of them. And it's like she's like, I don't think
- 13:53Speaker 2: that's it. You know what is It's like the lawyer
- 13:55Speaker 2: is the one.
- 13:57Speaker 1: You know.
- 13:57Speaker 3: I I agree.
- 13:59Speaker 1: I think that he I don't care who you are
- 14:03Speaker 1: if you're going to be with a woman like Candy,
- 14:06Speaker 1: you know.
- 14:07Speaker 3: There.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I just think Todd has always had some thirst. If
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'm being real, there's been some thirst to Todd. And
- 14:14Speaker 1: I think that sometimes the gender roles can come into
- 14:17Speaker 1: play because when you know, men typically feel really defined
- 14:21Speaker 1: by their career and their job, and I mean Candy
- 14:26Speaker 1: just eclipses Todd. And so I just feel like you
- 14:30Speaker 1: probably always had like a bruised ego, some you know,
- 14:34Speaker 1: some hurt there and things like that, but at the
- 14:36Speaker 1: same time, like you suck, why are you doing this?
- 14:39Speaker 3: What is Yeah?
- 14:44Speaker 2: That's that to me is just like you're just trying
- 14:47Speaker 2: to hurt her. This has nothing to do with anything
- 14:51Speaker 2: other than you're being cruel.
- 14:53Speaker 1: That's exactly right, because I don't care what he says,
- 14:56Speaker 1: how much he's out of town. Is there problems if
- 15:00Speaker 1: men do that? No, Look at Pique, he's out of town.
- 15:04Speaker 1: He spends one Saturday a month with his kid. You know,
- 15:07Speaker 1: it's like when men do it, it's fine. When women
- 15:10Speaker 1: do it, they're bad moms and I'm just not that's all.
- 15:14Speaker 3: We don't tolerate that here on Darling Bish Hour.
- 15:16Speaker 2: We don't know, we don't, don't, so don't.
- 15:20Speaker 1: We will keep you updated as news breaks on that.
- 15:23Speaker 1: But you know, Amy, I think it'll be good for
- 15:25Speaker 1: us to get into some Potomac.
- 15:27Speaker 3: What do you think.
- 15:27Speaker 2: I love it. Let's do it, okay.
- 15:30Speaker 3: And you know, I am really happy we're covering Potomac today.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I hope everyone listening is happy too, the reason being
- 15:36Speaker 1: I have not covered Potomac yet, but it's one of
- 15:39Speaker 1: my favorite franchises and it's so fun and it's so interesting.
- 15:44Speaker 1: And I always joke that usually there's not a lot
- 15:46Speaker 1: of meat on the bone because these women here's what
- 15:49Speaker 1: I say about them as opposed to other franchises. Number One,
- 15:52Speaker 1: they're sane, well minus Stacy. I have some real problems
- 15:57Speaker 1: with Stacy. But oh my god, let's well, we'll get
- 16:01Speaker 1: to that in just a moment.
- 16:04Speaker 2: I didn't know we were jumping right in, right in,
- 16:07Speaker 2: all right, okay, you know. Also tootle do.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Oh, tootle do? What kind of insult is tootle do?
- 16:16Speaker 3: That's not even right.
- 16:18Speaker 2: I know, I don't know. It was just like the
- 16:21Speaker 2: only thing that came out of her mouth that just
- 16:23Speaker 2: kind of like just it just it was funny. I
- 16:26Speaker 2: can't help it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Left so well, she is unintentionally funny. I mean, Stacy
- 16:32Speaker 1: is funny, but mostly are intentionally like when she wears
- 16:37Speaker 1: the same outfits as everyone and just just like well,
- 16:41Speaker 1: what I don't understand or you know, when she like
- 16:45Speaker 1: Stacy to me is like if a I were a
- 16:48Speaker 1: person that is Stacy. She's like the AI of people
- 16:52Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 16:54Speaker 2: And that that AI has been fed everyone's dms that
- 16:57Speaker 2: they're taking from us right now, you know, have you
- 16:59Speaker 2: heard about that? That now they're going to be reading
- 17:02Speaker 2: Instagram is going to be reading like their program is
- 17:06Speaker 2: going to be reading all of your dms and messages.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Stop that, I'm serious, starting December sixteenth. But why so
- 17:16Speaker 2: that they can feed it into their AI beast. Oh
- 17:20Speaker 2: so if you don't want them, if you don't want
- 17:23Speaker 2: them to read it, then I would suggest obviously a
- 17:28Speaker 2: deleting everything and then b there are steps that you
- 17:32Speaker 2: can take apparently about settings and things like that, but
- 17:35Speaker 2: it's very difficult to do. I haven't done it yet,
- 17:37Speaker 2: but they make it tricky because they don't want you
- 17:39Speaker 2: to do it. Allegedly. I believe this to be true.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I've seen some pop ups on it.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, and listen, I believe that to be
- 17:47Speaker 1: true too, because I've gotten things about collaborating with like
- 17:50Speaker 1: AI tools for therapists, and I'm like, AI should not
- 17:54Speaker 1: come anywhere near therapy.
- 17:56Speaker 3: Please get away from me with this.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Oh that'll be the day when the housewives have like
- 18:03Speaker 2: a therapy session with an AI.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Oh literal literally, I mean.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And it's like people are already using it chatchy BT
- 18:12Speaker 1: for therapy and it's so bad. There have been deaths
- 18:15Speaker 1: and I you know, listen, I don't want to derail
- 18:18Speaker 1: us with too much seriousness, but AI can be great
- 18:21Speaker 1: for some things, but it cannot replace therapists and it
- 18:24Speaker 1: should not be a complete invasion of our privacy.
- 18:27Speaker 3: And so that all makes me nervous.
- 18:28Speaker 2: But yes, that is hot. Tootle do to that and
- 18:33Speaker 2: to the next.
- 18:34Speaker 3: That's right, Okay.
- 18:35Speaker 1: So basically this episode of Real House as a Potomac,
- 18:39Speaker 1: what we're seeing is Monique is back and she's talking
- 18:43Speaker 1: to Giselle.
- 18:43Speaker 3: That was super interesting to me, Stacy.
- 18:45Speaker 1: We're also seeing her launching her Nigerian named.
- 18:53Speaker 2: While Nigerian, I have an affinity towards Nigeria.
- 18:59Speaker 1: You know, Amy, did you notice when she and Wendy
- 19:03Speaker 1: were talking about this and she said that Wendy looked
- 19:06Speaker 1: dead ass into the camera And it was the one
- 19:10Speaker 1: moment I was like, I support that. I support that completely.
- 19:14Speaker 1: She was just like she gave It was like the.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Office, you know, John Krinsky.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Really really really okay. And then Ashley breaks up with
- 19:27Speaker 1: poor Joshi boy on camera, I mean, which was just
- 19:31Speaker 1: plain rude. So we're going to get into all of it,
- 19:35Speaker 1: but yeah, what what if everything that happens stood out
- 19:38Speaker 1: to you the most daming?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Oh my god, Well, Monique in Giselle talking was incredible,
- 19:49Speaker 2: huge moment to have and I was thinking to myself, like, wow,
- 19:54Speaker 2: if I could have known where they would be like
- 19:59Speaker 2: years ago when the all happened, I don't think I
- 20:02Speaker 2: would believe it, you know, I don't know if I
- 20:04Speaker 2: would because of how horrible it was. And it's amazing
- 20:08Speaker 2: that Monique is even back on the show. It's amazing
- 20:11Speaker 2: that she's able to make it right with Gizelle, that
- 20:15Speaker 2: they were both able to, you know, take ownership. Monique
- 20:19Speaker 2: was incredible by explaining how she was playing the victim.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I was like what and she couldn't see that and
- 20:26Speaker 2: protecting the reputation and all this stuff. It was just
- 20:30Speaker 2: it was phenomenal. And I was really impressed with Gazelle
- 20:33Speaker 2: as well. And I think Gizelle was very impressed with
- 20:37Speaker 2: Monique because when one of the things that she said
- 20:40Speaker 2: was like when you remember when they were talking, and
- 20:43Speaker 2: she's like, yeah, I'm sick of being like I was
- 20:45Speaker 2: playing the victim, and I was just like I was
- 20:50Speaker 2: the victim and I was being mad at everybody else
- 20:52Speaker 2: and so on and so forth, and I feel like
- 20:54Speaker 2: you did this, And then Gazelle was like, well hold on,
- 20:56Speaker 2: like basically before you get to me, once you reflected uh,
- 21:00Speaker 2: what did you come up with?
- 21:01Speaker 1: Thank you?
- 21:03Speaker 3: Let's show me your business receipts.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Please, I need I need the presentation. I need you
- 21:10Speaker 2: to keep talking before I even like remotely say I'm sorry,
- 21:13Speaker 2: which I thought was hilarious. It's such a Gazelle move.
- 21:17Speaker 3: It is hilarious.
- 21:18Speaker 1: But it is the second part of why there's not
- 21:22Speaker 1: a lot for me to cover with Potomac is that
- 21:24Speaker 1: these women hold each other's feet to the flame. You
- 21:28Speaker 1: have to be accountable. It's like the opposite of O C.
- 21:32Speaker 1: It's the opposite of so many other franchises. They're like, listen,
- 21:36Speaker 1: we're gonna talk real shit. You're gonna own it or
- 21:40Speaker 1: you're not. And if you don't, you don't work in
- 21:42Speaker 1: this group.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Basically, Ashley said something said yes, and that is it was.
- 21:49Speaker 1: That's exactly I could put my finger on exactly. That
- 21:52Speaker 1: is what I love about Potomac is that they don't
- 21:55Speaker 1: suffer the Lisa Barlow's, the Meredith Marx's.
- 22:00Speaker 3: They don't suffer.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Those types of fools who are just like so up
- 22:05Speaker 1: their own butts that they cannot be honest with fect
- 22:07Speaker 1: things going on.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Remember at the party, it was Gazelle's party. Okay. And
- 22:12Speaker 2: Gizelle kicked out Stacy at the end there because like
- 22:15Speaker 2: everyone was mad at her, and then she was like
- 22:17Speaker 2: goodbye because Stacy's like, well, I mean this is what
- 22:19Speaker 2: it's going to be. I'll leave. She's like, here's the
- 22:21Speaker 2: elevator later. Bye. And if you were to watch that,
- 22:26Speaker 2: you think that Gizelle was in the wrong. You think, wow,
- 22:28Speaker 2: that is so mean, that is so rude, But honestly
- 22:31Speaker 2: it was. She was basically saying like, you can't stay
- 22:34Speaker 2: here unless you come clean with your stuff, and that's
- 22:37Speaker 2: why they draw the line. And I kind of like
- 22:39Speaker 2: them playing I kind of liked her playing hardball about
- 22:41Speaker 2: that because it draws a line, like you're saying about
- 22:46Speaker 2: why Pateelwick is as good as it is.
- 22:49Speaker 3: One thousand percent.
- 22:51Speaker 1: These women refuse to be contain victimhood. And I think
- 22:56Speaker 1: that Giselle's question it was It's so funny that you
- 23:00Speaker 1: caught onto that because it was such a small moment,
- 23:02Speaker 1: but an important moment in terms of like, yeah, you
- 23:05Speaker 1: got to show your work, right, you know the answer
- 23:07Speaker 1: to the math problem, but I want to see how
- 23:09Speaker 1: you got there. And as you know, what I was
- 23:11Speaker 1: hearing from Monique, which By the way, I can already
- 23:14Speaker 1: tell that she healed. You know how I can tell
- 23:16Speaker 1: her behavior is different. Her behavior is totally different. Her
- 23:20Speaker 1: energy is different, her behavior is different. And that's the thing.
- 23:23Speaker 1: People will do the same thing over and over and
- 23:26Speaker 1: claim to be changing.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Well, change is seen in our behaviors, not heard in
- 23:30Speaker 3: our words.
- 23:31Speaker 1: And continuing to say that you're changing, but like not
- 23:35Speaker 1: changing is actually just manipulation.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 3: So here's what Monique.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Said that really like, it checked a lot of boxes
- 23:42Speaker 1: in my brain.
- 23:42Speaker 2: She said, that's boxes, those boxes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I love that she after her.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So basically the Candace and her fight was, she explained,
- 23:57Speaker 1: was like the straw that broke the camel's back. It
- 24:00Speaker 1: sounds like Monique was saying that in her marriage she
- 24:04Speaker 1: was a perfectionist with herself, her husband was expecting perfection
- 24:08Speaker 1: from her. Obviously, there were some issues between her and Chris,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and we have now also heard allegations that Chris Samuels
- 24:17Speaker 1: allegedly strangled Monique Samuels during their relationships. So what I think,
- 24:23Speaker 1: what I put the pieces together after she talks about this,
- 24:27Speaker 1: is that she says after the marriage she healed and
- 24:30Speaker 1: self reflected and learned she was too busy being the
- 24:33Speaker 1: victim and blaming others for her problems, which top tier
- 24:38Speaker 1: healing says, and Bronwin is really good at this.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Okay of that phrase top tier healing. I want to
- 24:46Speaker 2: be in the top tier of healing. I don't know
- 24:49Speaker 2: which tier I am, but I don't think i'm top tier. Well,
- 24:52Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You're doing great, Amy ik you Yeah, okay, your top
- 24:57Speaker 1: tier to me, I can't judge you, but okay, But like,
- 25:03Speaker 1: truly top tier healing is, in my opinion, like being
- 25:06Speaker 1: humble and owning, like, okay, the.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Thing, I'm sorry, keep going, just ignore me. I have
- 25:17Speaker 2: nothing to offer. I'm just gonna cheer you on.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Oh my god, shoul should at me. Oh my gosh,
- 25:23Speaker 3: that's funny.
- 25:24Speaker 1: But it does require you to be like, okay, So
- 25:27Speaker 1: even when someone else does you wrong, like you still
- 25:31Speaker 1: play a role in that relationship. If things are escalating,
- 25:34Speaker 1: Angie k and Lisa Barlow, they like to be like, well,
- 25:37Speaker 1: you shot first, so now I'm gonna chop your head off,
- 25:40Speaker 1: and it's like that's low tier healing.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Lt LTCH is.
- 25:46Speaker 1: When you look at someone's behavior and use that as
- 25:50Speaker 1: an excuse to be like inappropriate, and it's like, well,
- 25:53Speaker 1: that's not That doesn't give anyone a haul pass to
- 25:56Speaker 1: be an asshole. So I feel like Mon was basically
- 26:01Speaker 1: saying she also worked really hard on things with her parents.
- 26:06Speaker 1: So I'm assuming and understanding that she had some childhood
- 26:11Speaker 1: trauma that she had to sort out with her parents,
- 26:15Speaker 1: because she said, and I quote the situation with Candace,
- 26:21Speaker 1: she was triggered and admitted that she was triggered. She
- 26:25Speaker 1: acted out, but it triggered her being the worst version
- 26:29Speaker 1: of herself, triggered her whole spiritual journey. And I think, wow,
- 26:33Speaker 1: now that's top tier healing to be like, wow, look
- 26:36Speaker 1: at this.
- 26:37Speaker 3: It changed the trajectory of her life.
- 26:39Speaker 1: But like in the best of ways, I would almost
- 26:42Speaker 1: argue it needed to happen so that she could be
- 26:45Speaker 1: her true, authentic self, you know what I mean.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I do. I was thinking back on after that incident
- 26:53Speaker 2: happened at the wine like the winery where they were, Yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 2: you know, quickly after that during that season. When I
- 27:07Speaker 2: say quickly, I mean maybe even like maybe it was
- 27:10Speaker 2: two weeks before this even happened, because there was a
- 27:12Speaker 2: good amount of time before all these ladies like really
- 27:16Speaker 2: engaged with Monique, but she met with I remember a
- 27:21Speaker 2: pastor if you recall, yes it was it was Chris,
- 27:25Speaker 2: it was a Monique and it was a pastor and
- 27:28Speaker 2: they filmed that and she was remorseful, but it wasn't.
- 27:33Speaker 2: It wasn't. I feel like it hadn't clicked yet. It
- 27:35Speaker 2: didn't click yet, you know it. So I wonder at
- 27:39Speaker 2: what point it did because if she's saying, like, you know,
- 27:43Speaker 2: that's really when I had an awakening, because it sounds
- 27:45Speaker 2: like it was probably the catalyst. But when something like
- 27:48Speaker 2: that big happens, Melissa, do you have like an immediate awakening,
- 27:54Speaker 2: like the next day where you're like, I can't You're
- 27:57Speaker 2: so shocked that you acted that way that you're like,
- 28:00Speaker 2: something needs to change. I have so many issues that
- 28:03Speaker 2: I need to work through. Or is it kind of
- 28:06Speaker 2: like more of a stepping stone situation where you go
- 28:11Speaker 2: from one stone to the next and it's a slow
- 28:13Speaker 2: burn until you really like open your eyes and say, oh,
- 28:16Speaker 2: that's even worse than I thought. And Nonique do that.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yes, so yes she did it, and b it's a
- 28:23Speaker 1: slow burn. And here's the thing. I saw this instagram,
- 28:26Speaker 1: this thing on Instagram the other day that it's like
- 28:29Speaker 1: a therapist had said that what society likes to do
- 28:34Speaker 1: is use healing.
- 28:36Speaker 3: As an era. But healing isn't an era.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Healing is grueling, blood, sweat, and tears that last your
- 28:44Speaker 1: whole life. And I hate to I know, I know,
- 28:47Speaker 1: and listen. I can speak to that because I've I'm
- 28:50Speaker 1: doing the work. I've done the work, I'm continuing to
- 28:53Speaker 1: do the work. I go to my own bish therapist
- 28:56Speaker 1: every Tuesday. I said one, I'm gonna be here until
- 28:59Speaker 1: one of us die, so or you retire, whatever comes first,
- 29:04Speaker 1: because it's.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Your really lies Shannon but Dor next to David, next
- 29:11Speaker 2: to my therapist. Yeah, well they they stayed there until
- 29:15Speaker 2: someone died too. Wait, Melissa is holding up a candle
- 29:19Speaker 2: that says, oh, it's nine lemons, a.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Real Housewives candle.
- 29:24Speaker 1: My friend shout out to my friend Nicole, who gave
- 29:27Speaker 1: it to me one year. She knows I don't love
- 29:30Speaker 1: a candle, but I love a nine lemons and a
- 29:33Speaker 1: bowl Shannon door candle.
- 29:34Speaker 3: So I mean I think it's a problem.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I thank you. Yeah, yeah, that's a great candle.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I love that.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Darlings. My latest and greatest sponsor is Lather. I am
- 29:50Speaker 2: so excited to talk to you about Leather and their

- 32:46Speaker 2: on TV, but a plot twist from your brain totally
- 32:50Speaker 2: different story. Like there you are just minding your business
- 32:53Speaker 2: when a terrible, unwanted thought sends you spiraling. Maybe it's
- 32:57Speaker 2: my partner doesn't really love me in the midi of
- 33:00Speaker 2: a romantic date they planned for you. Or maybe run
- 33:03Speaker 2: into a friend you haven't talked to in a while,
- 33:05Speaker 2: and your mind immediately goes to they probably think I'm
- 33:08Speaker 2: a terrible person. That's why we haven't been in touch.
- 33:12Speaker 2: These thoughts can feel so real and scary that you'll
- 33:14Speaker 2: do anything to make the anxiety go away. So you
- 33:17Speaker 2: spend the next hour analyzing old conversations, comparing your relationship
- 33:22Speaker 2: to other peoples, or looking for evidence that your friend
- 33:24Speaker 2: really doesn't hate you, Or maybe you constantly ask for reassurance.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Are you still attracted to me? Did I do something
- 33:31Speaker 2: to make you mad? It might surprise you to learn
- 33:33Speaker 2: that these thoughts and behaviors can actually be signs of OCD.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Real OCD is nothing like the stereotypes about liking things organized.
- 33:43Speaker 2: It's a serious and highly misunderstood condition that causes people
- 33:46Speaker 2: to get stuck in a cycle of unwanted, intrusive thoughts
- 33:49Speaker 2: that cause intense anxiety and behaviors to try to manage
- 33:53Speaker 2: that anxiety. I've seen OCD affect people I love, and
- 33:57Speaker 2: it's truly debilitating. I can't stress enough how important it
- 34:00Speaker 2: is to get proper treatment, because the good news is
- 34:03Speaker 2: OCD is highly treatable when you get the right kind
- 34:06Speaker 2: of specialized therapy and that's where no CD comes in.
- 34:10Speaker 2: No CD is the world's leading provider of OCD treatment
- 34:14Speaker 2: with licensed therapists who specialize in ERP or exposure and
- 34:18Speaker 2: response prevention. The most effective treatment for OCD therapy with

- 34:26Speaker 2: for over one hundred and fifty five million Americans, and

- 34:34Speaker 2: If any of this sounds familiar, go to NOCD dot
- 34:37Speaker 2: com and book a free fifteen minute call with their team.
- 34:41Speaker 2: That's NOOCD dot com. Don't let OCD write the drama.
- 34:46Speaker 2: You deserve to be the director of your own life.
- 34:49Speaker 2: With all the parties you darlings are invited to and
- 34:52Speaker 2: all the events that you darlings are going to, you're

- 34:57Speaker 2: has what it takes for you to have a gale. Look.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I got their Miracle Bomb palette in party and if
- 35:04Speaker 2: you're looking at my cheeks, yes they look a little
- 35:08Speaker 2: glowy flushed. As a matter of fact, the color is
- 35:10Speaker 2: called flushed, which I am so obsessed with. So here's
- 35:13Speaker 2: the thing about Jones Road Beauty. Their products enhance your
- 35:18Speaker 2: beauty rather than covering up your beauty. It gives you
- 35:21Speaker 2: that effortless natural look that we all want. You know,
- 35:24Speaker 2: that no makeup look. So if your routine has just
- 35:27Speaker 2: gotten way to involve and there's just so many steps,
- 35:30Speaker 2: let's go back to brass tacks. Because Jones Road Beauty
- 35:34Speaker 2: is a minimalist makeup brand that's founded by makeup artists
- 35:38Speaker 2: Bobby Brown. The products are so easy use. They simplify
- 35:41Speaker 2: your routine. Oh and it's clean makeup that actually performs.
- 35:45Speaker 2: And check out their Miracle Bomb. It's their best seller.
- 35:48Speaker 2: I was just talking about it. I get why it's
- 35:50Speaker 2: their best seller, because it's the best. It's really a multitasker.

- 37:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think that you know not to be
- 37:11Speaker 1: a total bummer.
- 37:12Speaker 3: But like healing isn't an.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Era, it's a lifelong process. It's equal parts freeing and beautiful.
- 37:19Speaker 1: It is grueling and challenging.
- 37:21Speaker 3: And Monique is the type of.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Person where, for for instance, if she had gone to
- 37:27Speaker 1: that meeting and like pretended to be another person, that
- 37:30Speaker 1: would have been a red flag because you can't have
- 37:33Speaker 1: that sustained level of change and insight overnight. That is
- 37:38Speaker 1: change that you can only get from going to a
- 37:41Speaker 1: therapist working hard on seeing your blind spots.
- 37:44Speaker 3: That takes a lot of time.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I mean, I've been in therapy for years and there's
- 37:48Speaker 1: still things from week to week and I'm very insightful
- 37:51Speaker 1: and I'm very aware, and A'll think of or things
- 37:53Speaker 1: will come up from week to week and I'm like,
- 37:55Speaker 1: oh my gosh, that's why I've been doing this or
- 37:58Speaker 1: whatever and talking about me. So I just am trying
- 38:02Speaker 1: to validate for people that it is a really hard process.
- 38:05Speaker 2: It's a lifestone. I mean, like, for example, I have
- 38:08Speaker 2: bangs now, and it's a lifestyle. Okay, it's you can't
- 38:13Speaker 2: just go to the hairstylist, get bangs and then like
- 38:15Speaker 2: walk away and it's a done deal. You guys, every
- 38:20Speaker 2: day I have to show up and do the work.
- 38:23Speaker 2: Do you think they wake up like this? No, I
- 38:26Speaker 2: mean it's it's a lot more work than you think.
- 38:28Speaker 2: You got to dig deep, you know, stay away from
- 38:31Speaker 2: the round brush. You gotta know. I'm kidding, all right,
- 38:34Speaker 2: I digress, But it's.
- 38:36Speaker 3: A good analogy. Amy, I'm not kidding.
- 38:38Speaker 1: And by the way, for people watching the video. I
- 38:40Speaker 1: told it, Amy as soon as the stars like, oh,
- 38:43Speaker 1: your banks are looking banging, and then I didn't realize
- 38:45Speaker 1: that I was actually sexually harassing her. So I'm sorry
- 38:48Speaker 1: about that, but I.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Beauty, I'm totally I'm consenting. But you know, I have
- 38:53Speaker 2: to go. I want to go back and watch that
- 38:55Speaker 2: theme with Monique and the pastor and Chris, because it
- 38:58Speaker 2: wasn't as if she was putting on a character like
- 39:00Speaker 2: you were saying, she I as I remember, she was definite.
- 39:06Speaker 2: She wasn't like crying on the floor, which I would
- 39:09Speaker 2: have thought she should be doing. That's the reaction that
- 39:12Speaker 2: I would have I wanted from her, like what have
- 39:15Speaker 2: I become? My hands?
- 39:17Speaker 3: Like wooh, I am I my hands?
- 39:18Speaker 2: Like you know, I just that's what well.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Amy. Let me tell you something though, not to interrupt.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Is that, yeah, when people are truly triggered and they're
- 39:27Speaker 1: acting out of that, they're going to appear dissociated and
- 39:33Speaker 1: maybe shut down. Like that level of emotionality is usually
- 39:39Speaker 1: not possible in people who are really having a trauma
- 39:43Speaker 1: reaction because and that's the nature.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Of the reaction. So you're right, but her reaction.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Tells me that everything she's saying was true, is that
- 39:52Speaker 1: she was in shock, she was triggered, and she was
- 39:55Speaker 1: processing it because she seemed really shut.
- 39:58Speaker 3: Down and angry.
- 40:00Speaker 1: And sometimes it's not until we see our role that
- 40:03Speaker 1: we can let that anger go and be like, oh,
- 40:05Speaker 1: I see how I participated, right, So it's yeah, it's
- 40:09Speaker 1: it's a process.
- 40:10Speaker 2: Take me to church, Malca.
- 40:12Speaker 3: You're reading it.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Wow, that was amazing. That just blew my mind. You know,
- 40:19Speaker 2: it makes so much sense she because she did seem
- 40:22Speaker 2: like sorry, but also kind of like that's I did
- 40:28Speaker 2: that and I don't understand what the problem is and
- 40:32Speaker 2: I want to understand, but also like fuck her and like, yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'm defending myself. You know, she wasn't quite there yet,
- 40:40Speaker 2: and it makes so much sense. And you know, what
- 40:43Speaker 2: people want and like I wanted in that moment and
- 40:47Speaker 2: in many many times, and when they had these huge
- 40:50Speaker 2: events with housewives, is you want the housewife to come
- 40:53Speaker 2: like lay prostrate and just flog themselves and say how
- 40:58Speaker 2: sorry they are and cry and bet forgiveness and be
- 41:01Speaker 2: like I can't believe this and just humble themselves. And
- 41:03Speaker 2: that never happens, I mean probably never will.
- 41:08Speaker 1: I know, And there's probably many reasons for that, Amy, uh,
- 41:14Speaker 1: but to know that the stepping stones to healing that
- 41:18Speaker 1: we have been able to now see full circle where
- 41:22Speaker 1: Monique was and where she is now is extremely remarkable
- 41:27Speaker 1: to witness on a housewives show.
- 41:29Speaker 2: And I never thought we'd be here, Like, it's very exciting.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Preach now you preach, Amy, you're taking me to church. Yes,
- 41:35Speaker 1: that's exactly right, and that is for me. One of
- 41:39Speaker 1: the things that I love about this franchise is that
- 41:42Speaker 1: it's like, get on board the accountability train or fuck off,
- 41:46Speaker 1: And I love that.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Do you think Gizelle should take accountability for anything?
- 41:51Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, and I'm gonna be honest.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Giselle's part of owning her stuff was like, oh yeah,
- 41:59Speaker 1: I own it. But see, Monique didn't do what Giselle did,
- 42:02Speaker 1: which she should have been like own what per se ned?
- 42:04Speaker 2: Right? Right? Exactly? What can you tell me? Can you
- 42:07Speaker 2: unfold that for me? And I think Gazelle can justify why.
- 42:11Speaker 2: She doesn't need to explain as much because she didn't
- 42:13Speaker 2: put her hands on anyone, But I think that it's
- 42:16Speaker 2: still important. It seems like Gizelle, as much as I
- 42:19Speaker 2: bow down my queen, I love her h and she
- 42:23Speaker 2: does hold people accountable. But Monique had such a good
- 42:25Speaker 2: point where she's like, you put yourself in other people's
- 42:28Speaker 2: relationships and that's not right in the real world. We
- 42:33Speaker 2: love it on Houswis, but like she's doing her job
- 42:36Speaker 2: on the Housewives and she knows it. But at what
- 42:40Speaker 2: point can can she be allowed to take accountability for
- 42:43Speaker 2: that being too invasive and wrong? Gizelle was telling two
- 42:49Speaker 2: of the other ladies like Tia and and Kianna, like
- 42:54Speaker 2: she was so excited about Monique, like she was talking
- 42:57Speaker 2: about you know, she didn't expect it to go as
- 42:59Speaker 2: well as it did, and she was very excited about
- 43:02Speaker 2: Monique because coming on the show, because she's got energy
- 43:06Speaker 2: and she's going to bring something. Oh, She's like because
- 43:09Speaker 2: she said to Kierana, She's like, you're new your proper
- 43:13Speaker 2: Monique's going to bring me something, right, And that is
- 43:16Speaker 2: exactly the way that Gazelle thinks, what are you doing
- 43:19Speaker 2: for this show? How are you showing up? You're bringing nothing?
- 43:23Speaker 2: What do you have for me? What can I cook with?
- 43:25Speaker 2: You know, bring me something? And she knew that Monique
- 43:29Speaker 2: had it, and Monique did so like that's her perspective,
- 43:32Speaker 2: that's part of it.
- 43:34Speaker 1: I mean, And that is such a good point too,
- 43:36Speaker 1: because again, as much as I do about to Giselle,
- 43:38Speaker 1: I love Jaseelle. She is top five favorite housewife of
- 43:42Speaker 1: mine for sure. But the thing that does bother me
- 43:46Speaker 1: is she wants everyone to talk about their stuff.
- 43:49Speaker 3: She wants everyone to be held accountable.
- 43:51Speaker 1: She's not a big talker of her stuff. I mean,
- 43:53Speaker 1: I think that's one thing that we've seen of Giselle
- 43:55Speaker 1: over these years.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Now.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Has she talked more about Jamal and some of those things, Yes,
- 44:03Speaker 1: but she definitely struggles to be as open as I
- 44:07Speaker 1: think she expects other people to be right. And I
- 44:12Speaker 1: feel like that is like Gizelle can get away with
- 44:16Speaker 1: it because she does have such a big, beautiful, bold personality.
- 44:20Speaker 1: She's so funny, she's so quick, she's so personable and lovely,
- 44:25Speaker 1: But there is that little piece of herd that it's like, well,
- 44:28Speaker 1: what exactly are you owning? And what are your storylines?
- 44:32Speaker 1: Like what let's talk about you right right about your
- 44:36Speaker 1: daughters or your dad or Jamal.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Let's talk about Gizelle.
- 44:40Speaker 2: And let's talk about how she is the queen of
- 44:44Speaker 2: one shoulder, you know, body fitting dresses. I have a
- 44:49Speaker 2: slide show. Just from this episode. Here we go. If
- 44:52Speaker 2: you're watching this, gorgeous it's actually like a Ramona Blue,
- 44:56Speaker 2: like a Royal Mona blue. Yep, a dress us off
- 45:00Speaker 2: the shoulder, one sleeve. Okay, within moments we have a flashback,
- 45:06Speaker 2: Oh do this off the shoulder look, and then later
- 45:13Speaker 2: we have a whole other look. Oh here it is gorgeous.
- 45:18Speaker 2: In her confessional, I mean gorgeous. That's three in one
- 45:21Speaker 2: episode three.
- 45:23Speaker 1: You know, Giselle, I think because she's been so poned
- 45:28Speaker 1: for her fashion choices that she I think she's really
- 45:33Speaker 1: trying to step it up, because I mean, she's got
- 45:36Speaker 1: to be tired of hearing that over the years.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Oh my god. I also think she kind of doesn't
- 45:41Speaker 2: care too. I think she's like, this works, this is
- 45:44Speaker 2: this fit works for me, and I'm going to do
- 45:46Speaker 2: it in every capacity that I can. And I love
- 45:49Speaker 2: that for her. Just like a Genta Lions loves a
- 45:51Speaker 2: button down, Jeelle loves that one shoulder, one sleeve dress.
- 45:56Speaker 3: I mean, listen, you're right about that. And we could
- 45:59Speaker 3: talk about her fashions all day, but let us move.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Where are we gonna go?
- 46:03Speaker 3: Okay, here's where I think we should go next. I
- 46:06Speaker 3: think we should talk a little bit about.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Ashley's rich daddy fetish and dumping a man who she
- 46:18Speaker 1: was in a relationship with for a year on national television.
- 46:24Speaker 3: That was a choice, Amy, that was a choice.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I couldn't believe that he dropped a you all prerogative
- 46:31Speaker 2: and then like walk out so nice. I was like,
- 46:33Speaker 2: that's it. This guy's okay, all right.
- 46:37Speaker 1: He's like, well, I guess if that's how you feel, okay,
- 46:39Speaker 1: can I walk you out?
- 46:40Speaker 2: And it's like, yeah, can I walk you out? Wow?
- 46:43Speaker 2: It was like it felt like an episode of the Bachelor,
- 46:46Speaker 2: just like they just got to know each other. It's like,
- 46:48Speaker 2: can I walk you out? You know? I mean right,
- 46:51Speaker 2: You're not going to give you a rose.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Right exactly. It's like there, they've known you for five minutes.
- 46:57Speaker 1: But she's known this man for a year. And what
- 47:00Speaker 1: I did not like about this. So Ashley talks about like,
- 47:04Speaker 1: you know, I think she called it like living swanky right,
- 47:08Speaker 1: like she had she's used to swanky guys, which you know,
- 47:12Speaker 1: like Michael and the guys that she dated on you know,
- 47:15Speaker 1: private jets and all this other stuff. But it's like Ashley, girl, girl,
- 47:20Speaker 1: look where that has gotten.
- 47:22Speaker 2: You well, scotten her two beautiful kids, a gorgeous house,
- 47:28Speaker 2: a starring role in a reality show.
- 47:32Speaker 1: I think you might be, but I'm sing she's still
- 47:38Speaker 1: single and she's looking for love.
- 47:41Speaker 3: So here's the thing.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I think she saw Michael as a stepping stone, I think,
- 47:47Speaker 1: and I understand, like I also love Ashley, She's one
- 47:51Speaker 1: of my top five as well. Ashley and Giselle are
- 47:54Speaker 1: in the tops. Love them, and she has every right
- 47:57Speaker 1: to want her life to be the way that it
- 47:59Speaker 1: is in some people want to live super comfortably and
- 48:02Speaker 1: have a lot of money, and like, I'm not going
- 48:04Speaker 1: to I'm not going to give her, you know, short
- 48:08Speaker 1: shrift for that. But I just feel like she's had
- 48:11Speaker 1: a lot of trouble in love. And while your point
- 48:14Speaker 1: was super good that her life is good, in a
- 48:18Speaker 1: lot of ways, she seems lonely and she's looking for companionship.
- 48:22Speaker 1: So I guess I suggest maybe use different criteria because
- 48:26Speaker 1: you just broke up with a man who was willing
- 48:29Speaker 1: to do anything for you, but he's not a guy
- 48:32Speaker 1: that can take her to Paris on a private jet.
- 48:35Speaker 1: And I think at the end of the day, she
- 48:36Speaker 1: doesn't want a regular dude, no, she wants.
- 48:40Speaker 3: To you're scatty.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Yes, so you said fetish. Is that considered a fetish
- 48:46Speaker 2: when you when you want a wealthy person in the relationship.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Okay, I was being silly and bushy a little bit.
- 48:53Speaker 1: I don't think it is in her situation, like yeah, yeah, no,
- 48:57Speaker 1: I was just being snarky.
- 48:59Speaker 2: But here's the thing. It does seem like she tried
- 49:03Speaker 2: out the whole younger guy or like in her age
- 49:08Speaker 2: group situation. And I mean they're at an arcade, you know,
- 49:12Speaker 2: like if there's ever a perfect place to dump a guy,
- 49:17Speaker 2: that says it all. I think the second he was like,
- 49:20Speaker 2: let's go to an arcade. This is a sweet game
- 49:22Speaker 2: I want to show you, and she's like, I have
- 49:24Speaker 2: seasickness from that game. So we're not on the same page.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Don't want to give you kids a today like Bybee.
- 49:34Speaker 2: So she tried it, and even on Love Island with
- 49:37Speaker 2: wal A, he couldn't even get there. You know. It's like,
- 49:41Speaker 2: so is it like, is it wrong to be attracted
- 49:46Speaker 2: to an old if that's what gets you going, If
- 49:50Speaker 2: that's what gets you going in life, to be attracted
- 49:52Speaker 2: to an older man who has money, Is that so
- 49:56Speaker 2: wrong and is it real love?
- 49:59Speaker 3: Well, to me, those are two different questions.
- 50:01Speaker 1: When you know you're in you know, the LA area
- 50:04Speaker 1: and people there, there's a lot of beauty, there's a
- 50:06Speaker 1: lot of flash and glisten glamour, but guess what that fades?
- 50:10Speaker 1: And money hopefully it doesn't fade, but at some point
- 50:13Speaker 1: it's like, what is that gonna do for you? Exactly right?
- 50:17Speaker 1: You need more than just like beauty or money, right
- 50:22Speaker 1: or whatever. While I think that she doesn't necessarily need
- 50:28Speaker 1: it to be happy, I feel like that's her preference
- 50:31Speaker 1: right now because now that she's kind of a Bravo lab,
- 50:35Speaker 1: I just feel like she doesn't want to go back
- 50:38Speaker 1: to a regular life.
- 50:39Speaker 2: No. And I think the other thing behind it too,
- 50:42Speaker 2: is that the way that she was raised, she was
- 50:47Speaker 2: not in a situation that was ideal. And I think
- 50:50Speaker 2: that when you're raised in a situation where you're always
- 50:53Speaker 2: worried about money to the extent which it sounds like
- 50:56Speaker 2: they were, you have I'm sure I don't don't even
- 51:00Speaker 2: know how to explain it. I'm sure you do, because.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Financial insecurity, financial insecurity.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Thank you, right? I sounded so aggressive. I'm like, I'm
- 51:09Speaker 2: sure you do. But I an't like that.
- 51:11Speaker 3: I mean, and then I was like, financial insecurity. That's
- 51:15Speaker 3: a name for it. You're exactly right, Amy, So.
- 51:19Speaker 2: She would you say that she's basically living out of
- 51:21Speaker 2: financial sec insecurity because she has never done any t
- 51:28Speaker 2: you know, even though she has a song healing and
- 51:32Speaker 2: I'm Thriving, you know, she does, she.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Does have that song.
- 51:36Speaker 1: Gosh, people make fun of Ashley, but some of her
- 51:38Speaker 1: songs are pretty good. I will say that now. I
- 51:40Speaker 1: know her live performances.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Leave a little bit to be desired, but my god.
- 51:44Speaker 2: When she acapella, she's great. When she gets up on stage,
- 51:48Speaker 2: just got monitors and stuff, she can't ever really sync
- 51:51Speaker 2: up to what's happening and that, and I noticed that,
- 51:55Speaker 2: and she's I think she's got a great voice, So.
- 51:57Speaker 3: I think so too.
- 51:57Speaker 1: But to your point, I absolutely think that that informs
- 52:01Speaker 1: her decision having to struggle with her mom. And in
- 52:04Speaker 1: this episode specifically, she brought up how Uncle Lump had
- 52:08Speaker 1: to step in and buy her school clothes and help
- 52:11Speaker 1: pay for her college and things like that, and now
- 52:13Speaker 1: Ashley's stepping in for her younger sister, who, by the way,
- 52:17Speaker 1: they filmed this scene where you know, the younger sister
- 52:20Speaker 1: was crying because so Ashley's younger sister from Ashley's mom
- 52:24Speaker 1: and stepdad, but it's the sister's biological father and he
- 52:29Speaker 1: is an alcoholic, and seeing her cry about that, it
- 52:34Speaker 1: just made me feel like I wish she would go
- 52:38Speaker 1: to alan On because allan On is a really great
- 52:42Speaker 1: place for family members of alcoholics to get a lot
- 52:46Speaker 1: of validation, a lot of support and understanding. But I
- 52:49Speaker 1: can tell that she's young and she's still not sure
- 52:53Speaker 1: where she wants to go with that yet. But I
- 52:55Speaker 1: really loved that scene between Ashley and her sister.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Oh my god, that broke my heart. It really really did.
- 53:00Speaker 2: I didn't expect. You know. You can see Jessica with
- 53:03Speaker 2: this smile on her face, just trying to like, you know,
- 53:07Speaker 2: be cool, you know, and just be there in present,
- 53:09Speaker 2: and and it just went from like the smile and
- 53:12Speaker 2: trying to that to just the hard cry. Oh my god,
- 53:17Speaker 2: it broke my heart. You know, I wanted to ask
- 53:19Speaker 2: you when she was explaining about like the reason why
- 53:23Speaker 2: she left home. She doesn't want to go back there
- 53:25Speaker 2: because of her dad and his longtime struggle with addiction,
- 53:30Speaker 2: and she's like he's been like this for fifty for
- 53:32Speaker 2: like forty or fifty years, and you know he's not.
- 53:35Speaker 2: And but she said, she was like, I mean, I
- 53:39Speaker 2: do blame them for letting it go this long and
- 53:45Speaker 2: so and I kept rewinding him, like she said them,
- 53:48Speaker 2: And I think she's obviously talking about you know, their mom,
- 53:52Speaker 2: Ashley's mom, and so like, what does that say? Do
- 53:58Speaker 2: you think that Ashley's do you think that their mom
- 54:01Speaker 2: is an alcoholic? Also? Oh, I mean that's like things
- 54:05Speaker 2: that we can't don't answer that just don't answer.
- 54:07Speaker 3: I even said it. YBT has been canceled. No, I'm
- 54:11Speaker 3: just kidding.
- 54:12Speaker 2: I mean maybe the enabling is what she's referring to.
- 54:16Speaker 3: I think you're onto something.
- 54:17Speaker 1: So obviously I cannot judge that, but I think you're
- 54:20Speaker 1: onto something in that Ashley's mother stayed with this man
- 54:27Speaker 1: and was codependent and enabled him for too long. Because
- 54:31Speaker 1: while addiction is a terrible disease, it deserves a lot
- 54:34Speaker 1: of empathy, it also deserves to be checked and it
- 54:38Speaker 1: also needs to be held accountable and to say, okay,
- 54:41Speaker 1: well this is but we need you to do better.
- 54:45Speaker 1: I need you to do better, And the only way
- 54:46Speaker 1: through that is boundaries. Boundaries boundaries, and so I think
- 54:50Speaker 1: that they both blame Ashley's mother for not having boundaries,
- 54:55Speaker 1: for enabling for being codependent, and I would here's the
- 54:59Speaker 1: thing I have. I've not met a ton of folks
- 55:02Speaker 1: who are married and stay married to someone in active
- 55:05Speaker 1: addiction without their own struggles, whether it be substances or
- 55:10Speaker 1: mental health or something of the like.
- 55:13Speaker 3: I have. Not doesn't mean it can't happen. It's just
- 55:16Speaker 3: rare to see.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Wow, you know, I don't think you know, obviously their
- 55:23Speaker 2: mom isn't ninety years old. You know, she's not eighty five.
- 55:27Speaker 2: She's having health problems, Okay, we all know that. When
- 55:30Speaker 2: she was like I'm bleeding out of my ears, it's like,
- 55:32Speaker 2: what the fuck? You know, Like, oh my, well she
- 55:35Speaker 2: didn't say that, but whatever she was saying, like she's
- 55:37Speaker 2: vomiting and blood's coming up. I'm just like, can we
- 55:40Speaker 2: get this woman to the er right now? Why are
- 55:42Speaker 2: we filming? That was extremely alarming, and so I can't
- 55:46Speaker 2: help but think, is she just like, well, I mean,
- 55:49Speaker 2: I don't really have much more time, So why would
- 55:52Speaker 2: I bother dealing with this situation? Anyway? It's just gonna
- 55:55Speaker 2: cause a lot of problems and a lot of emotional
- 55:57Speaker 2: issues that I really don't feel like dealing with. And
- 56:00Speaker 2: part of me is like I kind of don't blame
- 56:02Speaker 2: her because, like, you know, why upset the Apple card?
- 56:06Speaker 2: At this point, he'll probably die pretty soon if he
- 56:09Speaker 2: continues to drink like this And if she has such
- 56:12Speaker 2: this is a horrible thing to say. Maybe edit it out.
- 56:15Speaker 2: I don't know, but I'm just saying, like, you know,
- 56:18Speaker 2: is she looking at the clock and thinking, you know,
- 56:21Speaker 2: thank you for your concern. I get it, you're right,
- 56:23Speaker 2: but like you know, we're looking at you know, we
- 56:26Speaker 2: got you know, one more quarter left in the game,
- 56:28Speaker 2: So why do anything? You know?
- 56:31Speaker 3: Is that part of it?
- 56:32Speaker 1: Oh?
- 56:33Speaker 3: People, here's the thing.
- 56:34Speaker 1: People don't like change, and it's for a million reasons.
- 56:38Speaker 1: But your point is valid in that I always I
- 56:41Speaker 1: used to give this example when I was in practice
- 56:43Speaker 1: of like, sometimes when we have these behaviors that aren't
- 56:47Speaker 1: healthy for us, I liken it too. Laying in a
- 56:50Speaker 1: pile of our own garbage. It's garbage, but it's lap
- 56:53Speaker 1: to us and we're used to the smell and it's
- 56:56Speaker 1: kind of warm. But someone helps us up out of
- 56:59Speaker 1: the garbage pile, and you're like, oh, my god, I
- 57:01Speaker 1: was laying in there and I was fine, And I
- 57:04Speaker 1: think sometimes unfortunately that's just human nature. It's like the
- 57:07Speaker 1: devil you know is better than the devil you don't.
- 57:10Speaker 1: But at the same time, that's not necessarily true, because
- 57:14Speaker 1: what I would advocate is, I don't care if you
- 57:17Speaker 1: have ten minutes of time left. Yeah, do it different
- 57:20Speaker 1: so that not only if you can be happier, but
- 57:23Speaker 1: your kids can be happier. Because look at how it's
- 57:25Speaker 1: impacting Ashley and her sister.
- 57:28Speaker 2: I just you know, I mean, you know, to have
- 57:32Speaker 2: to think that if she's thinking this way, that is
- 57:36Speaker 2: really sad. And because the other side of it is like,
- 57:40Speaker 2: if you do make changes, like it's never too late, right,
- 57:43Speaker 2: if you do make changes, you can extend your life.
- 57:47Speaker 2: His life would be extended, you know, your children's lives
- 57:51Speaker 2: could get closer to being to getting some tt you know, right, right,
- 57:59Speaker 2: And and so it makes me sad.
- 58:01Speaker 1: It's as it should, because it is sad to watch
- 58:04Speaker 1: people live in their piles of garbage.
- 58:07Speaker 3: That is very sad to me.
- 58:09Speaker 1: And that's why dedicated my life to helping people be like,
- 58:11Speaker 1: see there's.
- 58:12Speaker 3: A better way. Take my hand, come with me.
- 58:15Speaker 1: You are too good for that pile of garbage. And
- 58:18Speaker 1: so I think that at the end of the day,
- 58:21Speaker 1: between like Monique and you know, Ashley and all of this,
- 58:25Speaker 1: the message is that top tier healing is I highly
- 58:29Speaker 1: recommend for everyone because everyone listening to this deserves it.
- 58:33Speaker 1: It's scary and it's hard to try new things, to
- 58:35Speaker 1: live differently, to break out of what you're used to.
- 58:37Speaker 1: But at the end of that rainbow is freedom and happiness,
- 58:40Speaker 1: and so I just support it one hundred percent. But
- 58:44Speaker 1: it's hard and it's scary, and so I never fault
- 58:46Speaker 1: people for being unable to set those boundaries right. Ashley's mom.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I think Ashley is very strong and inde pennant, and
- 58:56Speaker 1: I think she developed that because she sees how her
- 58:59Speaker 1: mom struggles with.
- 59:00Speaker 3: The opposite of that. Yeah, but you know, we could
- 59:05Speaker 3: talk about this, Yeah, oh my god, she really is.
- 59:08Speaker 1: She could talk.
- 59:10Speaker 2: Kind Okay, so what should we talk about? The pop ups?
- 59:15Speaker 2: The launch of Shioh and the pop up of ed
- 59:19Speaker 2: Wendy and Eddie's and like the how they kept going
- 59:22Speaker 2: back with the smoke transition that killed me. Good Night
- 59:29Speaker 2: here lies Shannon b Door Like that was amazing.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I know it was so amazing and super shady, but
- 59:35Speaker 1: also hilarious because it's like Wendy's like, well, I'm not
- 59:37Speaker 1: invited to your event. Well camera's up, Annie Dandy camera,
- 59:41Speaker 1: because we're at Happy Eddie.
- 59:43Speaker 3: And it's like there was like dueling THHD events and
- 59:46Speaker 3: I just love that.
- 59:47Speaker 2: But and then for it to end with Wendy at
- 59:49Speaker 2: the card reader, like, oh my god.
- 59:54Speaker 1: So for those who didn't see it or didn't watch,
- 59:56Speaker 1: she was at the card reader paying for Happy Eddie
- 59:59Speaker 1: and it kept declining, and she claims she kept forgetting
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: her pin and she had to do it a bunch
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: of times. And that is really wacky timing considering what
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: they're being accused of is using forty different credit cards
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: and aliases and all this other stuff. So to me,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: that was one moment of some smoking hot tea that
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: I was like, well, that doesn't lie.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: No, And it made me think like, did the editors
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: go back and put that in after this whole thing
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: has gone down? You know? Are they looking for these
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: moments and purpose?
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: You have to think, right.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I mean that, yeah, that seems too niche for them
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to have just like originally included because I was like,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: oh girl. And then when she finally got it, she
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: like celebrated and I was like, yeah, the whole thing
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: it rubbed me very wrong, awkward.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Was so you think she just wanted the like wheel
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: of fortune, you know, slot machine or something.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I know, and she's like, oh good, I didn't get
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: embarrassed on TV.
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: Now, Like, so, do you think that Stacy is a liar? Like,
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: because the way that Ashley is handling Stacy is I mean,
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: I couldn't. I can't disagree with her because she's like,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I won't give it to you if you stop bringing
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: it to me, Like stop bringing it to me, and
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: I won't give it to you, meaning like stop with
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: the lies and then I won't try to haze you. Essentially.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Oh god, that the when they were like talking over
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: each other, you know, oh yeah, that was so.
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: You know what that gave me, That gave me old
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: school Ninie and Charat remember that fight on the staircase.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Oh god, it was giving me.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like a deluded version of that because
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: no one could ever match Ninie and Charat's like angry
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: energy when they're fighting, Like those two women they were
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: just eviserating each other, and you know when Charay was
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: like oh, oh my god, Yes, that's so I miss.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: So No.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I think what Ashley's saying is don't do things and
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: then we won't call you out on them, but if
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: you're doing things, we're gonna call you out. Stacy has
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: a problem with lying. She cannot get her story straight.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: She lives the most odd life.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Again. Now here's the thing.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: So last season she was, uh, you know, had this
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: fake storyline with TJ. And now it seems like with
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: her husband, it's like it's giving fake storyline again because
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: it's like where is he? He's never around, he's always traveling.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: And then it's like, yeah, oh well I couldn't come
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to this event because he's out of town.
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: A wait, he's back. She Stacy has trouble with.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: The truth, and I personally do not like to mess
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: with people who have problems with the truth, Like no man. Significantly,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: she really has troubles.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: You know when in the reunion and she is flat
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: out asked by Gazelle are you doing I heard you
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: doing your own happy Eddy line and she's like, I
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: am not. And then two months later, Wow, that came
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: together quickly. It's like, what how are you not lying?
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: And how would Gizelle, have any idea you think that
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: she just pulled this out of a hat and made
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: it up. She obviously heard something.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: Pulls on Stacy to make this her storyline after denying it.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: At the reunion. Do you see what I'm saying there?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Is the thought process of Liars is so wild to me,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: where it's like, so you're gonna lie and deny this,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: but now it's your storyline and you don't want people
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: to be mad about it?
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: What are you talking about? Stacy?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Wow, that takes can't unnerved. That takes a lot of
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: delusion to think that you can just skate through this show. Also, yeah, delusion,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: and also the first season when she came on thinking
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: that she can parade around a TJ and act like
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: they're actually in a relationship, when in fact, I do
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: believe that, Like she what, they had a contract and
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: she was gonna pay. I totally believe that.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I mean, we've seen receipts at this point, number one
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: and number two her and TJ had no they didn't
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: and now it all makes sense why their relationship seems
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: so odd because they didn't know each other.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: He was playing a role or whatever.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: So I mean, I still think he could have played
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: it a little bit cooler and nicer and not been
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: such a weirdo. But listen, that was his his method acting.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I don't I don't know what, but let us maybe
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: was there anything else before we move on to our
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: holiday survival suggestions that you wanted to mention.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: I don't think so, I think that I think I
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: uh oh, the ring. I was very supposed to see
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Greg going to get a ring. I was kind of shocked.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: It was.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I almost barfed because I was like, why why is
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: this woman still choosing this man? Number one and number two?
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: He was looking at rings that were one hundred and
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: eighty thousand dollars. Do you know the average price or
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: the average salary of a social worker? Amy, it's like
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: thirty to forty grand a year depending and honestly, yeah,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and I'm talking also about master's level people. Therapists you
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: make no money unless you're in private practice and then
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: you charge insurance.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: But what that was what blew my mind.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I'm like, so you're looking at this five carrot ring
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: your job as a social worker or whatever, that's like
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: four year salary. So what are we talking about here?
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: It was clearly a commercial for that jeweler.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Right, because he was like, oh, I'm not getting anything now, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: We're just we're just pretending that I'm going to give
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: her a two million dollar twenty carrot ring.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: I was like, greg Or, greg or whatever your name is,
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: get out of here.
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, weird. But I was surprised because I didn't
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: think there was going to be ring and that was
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: just condo condo town and that was it, you know.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Oh well, and oh the one thing I do have
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: to say before we wrap up is that, uh wait,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: what is her name?
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: I block it out because they don't like no Angel?
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Is it Angel Angel?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Uh huh yeah, I'm not a fan of Angel. Angel
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: literally said that Kay should get married because they're middle
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: aged and they're in the thirties, and she goes, well,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: being thirties is middle aged, and I'm like, so you're
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: essentially encouraging your friend to get engaged to a douche
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: who sucks because you think you don't want her to
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: be an old maid.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Yikesers.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that did not go down well with me either,
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: and I took a lot of issue with that. Very strange,
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: very very bizarre.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: But anyway, so what Amy and I are going to
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: transition to now is Amy had a wonderful idea of
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: doing a little bit of our suggestions to survive the
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: upcoming holidays.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: No matter what people celebrate, whether it's Christmas hanakookwon.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: So, whether you don't celebrate, or you know, it's just
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: the time of year, it's dark earlier, lots of family stuff.
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: People are really peoply in the world.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: You know, so we have some people are peoplaying, honey.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: So we have some suggestions, and Amy, would you like
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: to share?
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: Did you have a thought? Yeah, like I do.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: First, Yes, I think everyone should take a THHC gummy
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: when you know when they should. And I think you
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: should use my code drama for Loomy gummies. They're really good.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: I didn't I honestly wasn't into anticipating doing an ad here.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: But it's completely organic because I was going to say,
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: take gummies. But if you're at it, you do Loomy.
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: They're really really good because you know, no one's going
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: to really know if you do like kind of a
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: lower dose than you just like have a gummy you're
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: out with your family, you know, just as long as
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: you're safe, don't drive, you know, and it can relax you.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: You can things can maybe bounce off you a little
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: bit easier. It's better than alcohol because you never know
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: where alcohol is going to take you. You know, you
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: might get you might get really angry. You know, you
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: might cry. You're going to be triggered no matter what. Okay,
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: being around friends, families, looking at social media, it's all
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: going to be popping up all around you. So that's
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: my first one.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Okay, Well, and what I will say to that is
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: that alcohol to pair on your point is that alcohol
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: is a depressant. So if you are depressed, which around
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: this time of year is really challenging, seasonal effective disorder
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: on top of regular depression. You know, it's a real thing,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: and so be mindful of that, and also be mindful
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: of what. I have a lot of people who listen
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: to this that are in recovery, and so if you
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: are in recovery, then you skip suggestion numero you know,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: and we for everyone else, what is.
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: It that happen again?
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Gloomy gummy maybe and maybe code drama. Okay, very good.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: My number one suggestion is boundaries. Boundaries, Boundaries.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: Ooh, I love that. I love that you sound like
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: my therapist, Actually.
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: Well, good, she's definitely on the right track.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Because here's the thing, family gatherings, going out people. I
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: witnessed a fight in a store the other day between
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: a cashier and a patron, and I just thought, my goodness,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: life is too short to just be doing all this.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: So I think that boundaries in terms of if you're
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: somewhere where you are feeling triggered or it's a challenging time, whatever,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: those boundaries need to look like For me, boundaries are
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: a survival guide. Not only boundaries with other people, but
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: boundaries with ourselves. So that means not putting ourselves in
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: situations that don't serve us, or another kind of like
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: like a mini point under this is that my therapist
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: and I talk about reasonable accommodations, and what that means
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: is is that sometimes we have things that we have
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: to do, but we can make reasonable accommodations to make
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: it a little bit healthier for ourselves. So I'll just
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: give a quick example of like, let's say you're going
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: to a Christmas dinner and your family's going to be
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: getting together for six hours. You go for one one
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: and a half, You hit your limit, and you say okay,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: you know, you take it and you gotta.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Go, don't.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I think boundaries is like the oxygen mask that we
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: put on for ourselves.
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: So I just really encourage that for everybody.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I love that. I also love an Irish exit. You know,
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: don't let anybody shame you with shame you.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Hey man, you don't.
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: Even grab your coat, get the hell out of there,
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: and then send it text Hey you were busy when
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: I was leaving, Thanks so much. Bye. No. I mean,
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: if it's a big party and you don't feel like staying,
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: it's just freaking leave, you know. Sure if you you know,
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: don't because people can have a tendency to guilt you
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: you know, and don't.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: Oh well, and that and that's where the boundaries come
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: in because it's like your family, everyone listening to this, like,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: your people are gonna do what they're gonna do. They're
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: not gonna change, They're never gonna change. That's what they're
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: gonna do. So we have to act differently because right
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: in response to that, and so do you have another.
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: My friend told me about this that they Okay, I
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: don't know where you can get this. You can probably
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: make your own a Bingo card. Where and it's kind
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: of a joke Bingo card where you're like, oh, okay,
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: every time, you know, Uncle Pete poor as a vodka,
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: you know, every time my mom shames me for not
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: having kids, you know, every time. Like, so you fill
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: the Bingo cards with like all the things that are
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: like kind of negative or you know, and that you
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: can kind of turn into a bit of a joke
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: so you can be you know a little lighthearted, and
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: you can do it digitally and just see how many
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: get filled up and bring so many in on the
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: jokes so you could be like, yep, I got it.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: I got a diagonal. You know.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: That is hilarious and I actually love that. And I'll
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: add I'll add one little.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: Bit to this.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Give yourself a prize at the end. Just you're the winner, right,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: You're a winner.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: So you're a winner.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: Casey sucks.
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Yeah you deserve it.
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: Yeah sucks.
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: Some polished whatever it is that you're into, that's not
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: going to break the bank, do it. Because when you
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: get that Bingo and you're like, well, things are the
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: same as they've been for thirty years. But at least
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I've won a prize that I'm giving to myself right, Yeah,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I kind of love it.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: So two other things that I'll add is number one,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: I encourage everyone this time of year to have financial literacy.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: It's important because I feel like we need to keep
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: in mind not to go into like overarching debt for
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: things that you know we don't need. And listen, I
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: understand everyone's situations are different. I guess what I'm just
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: saying is to me, gift giving is like, it doesn't
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: have to be necessarily super expensive or whatever. It's just
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: being mindful of what works best for you. Because I
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: think that financial health is something that I focused on
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: a lot in my practice because it's directly connected to
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: mental and physical health. Right, If you have all these bills,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: you're in credit card debt up to your eyeballs, It's like,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: that's too stressful, So just be mindful of that this year.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: And then the last thing I'm going to say is large,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: sweeping resolutions are setups for failures. I believe that this
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: time of year people talk about resolutions. Personally, I think
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: resolutions are kind of crap, and I'll tell you why.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I think resolutions are too big and there are these
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: overarching goals that aren't realistic. So what I urge people
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: to do is going into the new year. I think
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: it's great to reflect and look at Okay, what have
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I done?
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: What do I want to do differently?
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: But small, bite size, achievable goals, right, Yeah, like going
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to the gym every day, never going to be my thing,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: but working out at home twenty minutes a day on
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: my bike or doing some bands now that I can do.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: So whatever it is you can do, go with that.
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: But make it reasonable.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Yeah, don't go extreme. That's never a good, you know, recipe. Yeah, right,
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: it's a recipe for failure.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: Amy.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they don't want that. Yeah, we don't.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: We don't know, we don't.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: We just want nine lemons in a bowl and to
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: make it nice and you know.
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: A decent holiday. You know, that's all we're asking for.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: That's right, That's right.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: So I hope everyone has enjoyed. I know I've enjoyed this, Darling.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Ambish can't wait this.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: It has been super fun. So next month what you
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: all can expect from us is we are going to
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: be covering Surviving Mormonism. Yes, Heather Gay, the documentary with
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Heather Gay, and I am super.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: Stoked about that.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: So if you haven't watched it and you want to
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: listen to our pod, well, A, we'll cover it so
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: you don't have to watch it.

- 1:15:35Speaker 3: going to come up in a couple of weeks.
