- 1:02soldiers and welcome back to another edition
- 1:25of the be forever. Cool podcast, my name is Rex 45
- 1:29and I'm fortunate enough. Enough tonight or this evening
- 1:32to have the one and only Bobby sheikhs, who looks to be hiding
- 1:35behind his microphone? You know on the podcast I was
- 1:39going on Bobby shakes chilling that now I was just was that
- 1:43slim pocket. Oh my goodness, you know what it
- 1:50is shakes man. You know what it is man.
- 1:53Wow. Yeah right wow, dope missing and
- 1:57you know What can I say? Well let's talk about slim
- 2:06pocket, right? Okay so I remember you and the
- 2:10band kind of have you guys run into some problems and you guys
- 2:13kind of broke up correct and used to come to my crib in
- 2:17Somerville. Uh-huh.
- 2:18We should get on our pedal bikes.
- 2:20Yes. And we used to go for these
- 2:22crazy bike rides through traffic.
- 2:24Late at night, I was on the single-speed, use on a ten-speed
- 2:2821 speed whatever I had. I don't think I don't think if
- 2:33you're under 70, if you have gears on your bicycle that's
- 2:36just me, right? I think gears on a bicycles for
- 2:39dudes that are 70. No, no disrespect to Lance
- 2:41Armstrong, but that's what I think it is.
- 2:43And we used to go on these crazy rides and one day I think we're
- 2:50downtown and you said, yo shakes, this is not fast enough.
- 2:56And I'm all like well not really I mean we're probably doing what
- 3:0020. Yeah, probably 20 hours we wish
- 3:02I was in shape so probably 20 2014.
- 3:05Yeah. Exact 25 through traffic to red
- 3:08lights in and out. And you were like yo this isn't
- 3:10fast enough. And I said, okay, it's not fast
- 3:15enough, I'm still not getting a bite with gears, right?
- 3:18I'm good. And then like a couple months
- 3:22later, you showed up at the crib in Somerville with the, with a
- 3:25street fighter? Yeah, what was it wasn't 848 on.
- 3:28It goes 8 48, 48 Street Fighter? Yeah, wrap and I just remember
- 3:32us in the back, chopping it up, chopping it up.
- 3:36And at that point you didn't really have a job either, right?
- 3:40You would like trying to look for a job and well, I was
- 3:42working. For myself and which I was able
- 3:45to do with the been years and stuff like that.
- 3:47And I was at a point where I was tired of doing this sales and,
- 3:53you know, decided to go, you know, just go work for somebody
- 3:55who don't have to worry about that and employees, and that
- 3:58type of thing. So yeah.
- 4:00So, and, you know, also wanted to get in this Bike World.
- 4:04So yeah. So, I went off and got a job
- 4:07again and and you you went off and and Took your photography to
- 4:14another level to where it was supporting yourself.
- 4:16And I think, you know, we both decide well, you got a
- 4:19motorcycle afterwards. Yeah, it was crazy because it
- 4:23went This is not fast enough, right?
- 4:27Pedal bike 2011. Yeah to and 848, brand-new
- 4:31Ducati, 2012, Yahoo. A 1099.
- 4:37Is that, is it? That's what 1099 is what?
- 4:39I is a tax form. That's the tax for me.
- 4:45And it was like at that point I'm thinking, okay.
- 4:50So clearly a single-speed bike, can't keep up with this with a
- 4:53motorcycle clearly. So then I went and I took the
- 4:57test, you told me to go to this to the motorcycle school.
- 5:00So I'm going to the motorcycle school and In Hyde Park.
- 5:07Okay. And I said to myself, I always
- 5:11wanted a motorcycle always wanted like a Harley though,
- 5:14right? Right, well, I'm gonna say this
- 5:15is how we differ, right? Because, you know, I went full
- 5:18to the 911, Porsche and you in for the 64 Impala.
- 5:29So I but I said I love motorcycles, but do I really
- 5:32love motorcycles? I think you're the one that told
- 5:34me. You said, if you're going to get
- 5:36into motorcycles, you cannot take your test in the
- 5:40summertime. You got to take your test in the
- 5:44winter time, I think. Yeah, you told me that.
- 5:47And so I went and I took my test, the last test dated
- 5:50November, and that happened to be the day that I got, I was
- 5:53taking my test was the first snow storm of the year.
- 5:58So basically I was learning how to ride a motorcycle in the
- 6:02snow, the leaves were wet, it was a good, you know, like a
- 6:06good little, a little frost on the on the ground.
- 6:11Uh-huh. And it was like, okay, if you
- 6:14love motorcycles that much, you can behave and react, and still
- 6:19have fun right in the cold. And I remember hugging that
- 6:23little 250 engine to stay warm in between I've done it a bunch
- 6:28of times on different bike sticking, my hands on the
- 6:31engine, when it's cold out, just to stay long and that was it.
- 6:36And then after that, I said, I got to get a bike.
- 6:39So I wanted a Harley. So my ex she's all.
- 6:44I know you want a Harley. But do some research.
- 6:49Uh-huh. So, I did some research and I,
- 6:51and, and Harley Davidson had a thing called, it was all the
- 6:56black clubs. Okay, iron Italy?
- 6:59Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:00It was, I an elite and I watch every single video of iron Elite
- 7:06and literally I would stay on the couch.
- 7:12I didn't I didn't know how to ride.
- 7:13I was just like switching in my hand and I'm like, A, my girl
- 7:19would look at me from the kitchen.
- 7:21Like, is this dude really riding a motorcycle on the couch then?
- 7:26Like, so once and I said to, my girl said, yo, you came over
- 7:33again and I my I got to do this. So, we went to the Boston
- 7:37Harley. Uh-huh.
- 7:38And I had like three grand in my pocket and I said, I want this.
- 7:45I want this. It was a 1200 customers.
- 7:46Custom and I go, this is the bike I want.
- 7:48It was yellow, it was crazy and deduce it, let's run the credit.
- 7:54So I said fine, let's just run the credit, that's it, that's
- 7:57it. So I went around and with the 3
- 8:00Grand, I brought to the dealership.
- 8:02I'm I was walk around the deals with the helmet on jacket.
- 8:06Gloves, boots. I had everything I put me in the
- 8:10game. I'm ready.
- 8:14And let me take you guys back. This was before I took the
- 8:17motorcycle test. Right?
- 8:18Right. So if I had passed, if I write.
- 8:21So I got all the gear on and the Duke come up to me and go, mr.
- 8:25Shakes, I'm very sorry. You have a credit score of
- 8:28three. Your credit scores are three.
- 8:34You don't qualify for this bike. So, on your way home, did you
- 8:38have the window down with your biker gear on?
- 8:43So, So I said, fuck it. I bought all the gear, but all
- 8:48the gear, I bought all the gear I had.
- 8:52I had a jacket. I had had a three-in-one
- 8:56jackets. It was spring, winter fall,
- 8:59right? I had heated gloves, non-heated
- 9:02gloves. I had a full face helmet.
- 9:04I had all the Gear boots, everything right?
- 9:08No motorcycles. When I'm going to go take the
- 9:10test, like I'm the only dude that actually showed up to the
- 9:13motorcycle exam McGee who can like Rossi.
- 9:20Like, but you I wanted to Manifest this, right?
- 9:24You have to and the funny thing was I was watching you from a
- 9:29distance, manifest yourself, right?
- 9:34And by that time so I'm watching you ate you guys.
- 9:39You guys really understand. To go from 848. 279, a 11 98.
- 9:49On a 1099, not a W-2, and then so and I, and what I did was, I
- 9:58watching you manifest and I just said, you know what I'm gonna
- 10:00do? I'm gonna start paying my
- 10:02Crimson start paying my credit, pay my credit, pay my credit,
- 10:04pay my credit, got my credit score to I think a six hundred
- 10:09and one day, I'm just driving in my car and I'm on you I really
- 10:12want to bike but I don't know what to do at that time now.
- 10:15I was jobless right right, right.
- 10:18So you guys Gotta understand 45 was going through a transition
- 10:23and I was doing the photography. Then you manifested and then as
- 10:28you're manifesting is like I'm on the back end now.
- 10:31Hmm. And like used to come over there
- 10:32and be at you have to give me like 20 dollars for lunch and
- 10:35I'm all like yo 45. I really think I want to get
- 10:38into this business and I think I want to work for a motorcycle
- 10:40dealership. So I'm driving confused.
- 10:45No money broke and I'm all like how am I gonna get into this?
- 10:50So I said you know, let me try, let me listen some rock and
- 10:52roll. So I turned the radio station
- 10:54from inside the dance hall, whatever, baby 7087.
- 11:01And I turned it to WAAF. I'm listening to some rock and
- 11:04roll and listen to like, I don't know, Metallica And I'm like, oh
- 11:07whatever. And then the commercial came on
- 11:10and it was like, Mom, South. We will finance any idiot.
- 11:17You're like, I resemble that I was assembled a time that idiot.
- 11:21So I went home. I got 2,500 dollars, I went
- 11:24straight to the dealership. Uh-huh.
- 11:26And I saw my Harley the red one and and of course it doesn't
- 11:33start right. It doesn't start out.
- 11:35It's not an ominous. Yes, it's a Harley, it's a
- 11:37Harley this It's not supposed to start.
- 11:41And the guy said, Hey listen, your credit is shit but what we
- 11:45could do is you could put some money down and you can do like a
- 11:48layaway program to you. So this was like in the summer
- 11:52and he said, all you got to do is come in and put like a
- 11:54hundred dollars a month. Right.
- 11:55Right right. I'm by I guess we're not into
- 11:58that some thinking okay, the bike is four grand.
- 12:02Let me try and do like a hundred bucks a week which was
- 12:05impossible. Sounds like fuck it.
- 12:07I got to do a hundred dollars a month, right?
- 12:11Right. So then the photography picked
- 12:14up. And then I got, and then I got
- 12:16some money and then I'm like, okay, I'm going to $100 and 100
- 12:19on, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 12:22By that time now, I passed the your license past my license.
- 12:28You came back around, it was, it was a day, like today, it was
- 12:31freezing cold and you had the 848 and I took the 84-84 ride
- 12:37the first bike. I rode, after my exam was an
- 12:40eight for eight and a gold. In fucking mesh gloves, my hands
- 12:48were like freezing and I was thinking, you know, I'm gonna
- 12:53do, I'm gonna take the suck on the highway.
- 12:55Hell's, no, you ain't taking that on the highway as I'm going
- 13:00down River Street. My hands is freezing.
- 13:02I'm like, this is too much bike, right?
- 13:04This is it. 848 is too much by and I know a lot of you big-time
- 13:09bikers, at listen to this podcast, is going to say, Mike
- 13:12This bike wasn't 1200 Hayabusa with no helmet.
- 13:15Don't be a pussy 1400 but your clothes.
- 13:17Yeah. Right.
- 13:19I should know this. She's not like I didn't work in
- 13:21the motorcycles. You for five years, okay?
- 13:23We're gonna get you that, that we go get to that just died.
- 13:26So I'm like I couldn't do this. And so as spring started to come
- 13:33around and went and I picked up the bike 88-83 rodent from
- 13:37Foxborough to the crib and that was probably the stupidest thing
- 13:41I've ever done. Er done.
- 13:42Okay. Well, it's not that bad.
- 13:44I should have started with a 250.
- 13:46I'm not I would never if I'm gonna do this again I will go
- 13:49moped first. What is it?
- 13:54The Pooh children with a punch or whatever, they work your way
- 14:03up the scooter and I finally get the Harley.
- 14:08Uh-huh. Then by that time now I'm doing
- 14:11bike interviews. Yeah so me and you we wrote out
- 14:15the next weekend I only had my bike for know that we can we
- 14:20roll out to Fall River right. You was on the left and not the
- 14:23the laminate level 98 Yura I'm on the 8832.
- 14:28Harley Harley Sportster. Listen there's two twins running
- 14:32down the road right to twins but remember how loud it was went to
- 14:38the gas is you like yo can you turn that shit off?
- 14:40I can't hear myself think. So loud and we rode out to chop
- 14:46a head shop ahead. Yeah out to chop a head and then
- 14:49chop a head looked at my bike. He's like yo your fork sees you
- 14:53for your fork seals it's leaking.
- 14:57So I go. What does that mean?
- 14:59He goes what that mean? Is that the liquid that's coming
- 15:01out? The fork seal is getting onto
- 15:03the disk. So when you hit the brakes, not
- 15:05good. It doesn't stop someone like
- 15:08that's the reason why the bike didn't stop.
- 15:10I just thought Harley's didn't stop, I didn't know there was,
- 15:15there was a problem. Now, I didn't know that was
- 15:17fucking suspension liquid Forks, it liquid.
- 15:20And, and that's the biggest thing getting into this.
- 15:23And almost industry that what? We don't know, right?
- 15:25But the motorcycle industry. Is it, you know, obviously, you
- 15:28put your life on the line when you don't know these things
- 15:31about the bikes, I mean, you know, we were green and just
- 15:34kind of like we're going bikes. We got Bikes, let's go ride
- 15:37them. And you know, but you know, you
- 15:40talk about Chopper head, like, you know, between getting the
- 15:44bike and getting the gear and all that, you know, you
- 15:48obviously, you lean towards the hiring Harley.
- 15:51And, and how did you connect with chop ahead?
- 15:53And how did you navigate that, that that area?
- 15:56Because, you know, Do I end up going, the sport, bike route,
- 15:59the racing route, you know and and you went the other route and
- 16:03I've been trying to get you to go to the track and you still
- 16:05haven't showed up at the track yet.
- 16:07But you know, we'll get to that part.
- 16:08Now, it's so like, you know, what made you decide to like you
- 16:12know try to fix see who these people are in the industry.
- 16:16So At this point, I was in completely hardly had.
- 16:20I was watching iron Italy and I was just cruising the internet
- 16:24at that point looking for guys to chop the bike up, right?
- 16:28Right because Harley what a lot of people don't understand why I
- 16:30love Harley-Davidson so much is because it was the first company
- 16:34that allowed a black person to sell their open up a dealership,
- 16:37you know. So we're talking 1903, 05 1910,
- 16:41they were messing with the black community, so not to be racist
- 16:47or anything but just to say It is all the things that you love
- 16:50about a Harley Davidson was done in the hood, right?
- 16:55All the gang life and all of the nonsense and all the bar fights
- 16:59are come that with that. That was done through certain
- 17:02motorcycle groups, the motorcycle gangs got you.
- 17:06So and you're saying they mostly black, the gang stuff was the
- 17:10white guys, the chop, the Rams, the powder, coat, all of that
- 17:15nonsense was done by the black dude.
- 17:17So the games are in, Nonsense. So the so I was just doing my
- 17:23research and doing Harley-Davidson and just looking
- 17:25at Harley and, and figuring out like, oh, I can really rock with
- 17:30this company because a did only coming to did the iron Elite
- 17:33which is just they just focus on black B Cruise, which is pretty
- 17:36dope, which is pretty dope. They had a black woman racer.
- 17:40Yeah. Back in the day that had the
- 17:42taper titties down, right? You ever seen Top Gear that had
- 17:45the Stig they had. Add this black woman, right?
- 17:49They would tape her titties down and she wasn't allowed to remove
- 17:53her helmet. Oh, wow.
- 17:54Okay. Because Harley-Davidson was
- 17:56like, yo, if they find out that you're black, you're a woman and
- 17:59you're a woman. She was beating these dudes on
- 18:02the track. She was murdering these dudes
- 18:05and nobody knew that she was a woman or a black woman.
- 18:09Imagine think about this folks, back in the day, a black woman.
- 18:14Beating your white ass on a motorcycle and it was a Harley
- 18:20right, right? Not a good look, not a good
- 18:22look. So Harley-Davidson, hit this
- 18:24woman for a long time. That taper TD's down, cut her
- 18:27hair off and she always had a helmet on at the interviews.
- 18:32Like, when you gonna take off your helmet, they're like, oh,
- 18:34she has like, you know, she's like parent, he's paranoid of
- 18:38blah, blah, blah, blah blah. So nobody never knew.
- 18:40So all of this culture I was like, okay, so I did my end, I
- 18:43did my Research. And I'm all like I found chop
- 18:47ahead, right? And then I just loved that
- 18:52culture and I mixed. And then while I was doing the
- 18:56Harley-Davidson research, I started watching Sons of
- 18:58Anarchy. And, and Sons of Anarchy became
- 19:02like, I know it's all I know. We're getting there, we're
- 19:06getting it. Right?
- 19:07But Sons of Anarchy was like intro intro, my intro to lie,
- 19:12okay? I kind of like this lifestyle.
- 19:15I know it's a movie, but I like it and I really wanted to be a
- 19:20part of that Harley Davidson boom, right?
- 19:23You and then you jumped in. I jumped in so funny story.
- 19:29When I interview chop ahead and just started going into all
- 19:32these bike parties and I just want, I just started digging.
- 19:36Mmm. And then all of a sudden, the
- 19:39bike world came crashing down on me.
- 19:44So meet 2015, we're talking about Rossi and divisio so and
- 19:49bought my kiss, I'm going to fix it.
- 20:03They had my bike for like three months didn't fix.
- 20:05My Forks, has summertime, is the worst time to have your bike?
- 20:09Not working. So now I'm thinking now, it's
- 20:11like Father's Day and I'm going up, then I'm all like, yeah.
- 20:13Oh, the I've just bought this bike from you.
- 20:16This Fork still leaking and my boy.
- 20:18Chop had was like, yo, if this takes longer than 10 seconds to
- 20:22do that pain, you So I put my black face on, man.
- 20:29You can take it off. Yeah, yeah, right.
- 20:32Sometimes you can tell, I went up to the dealership, like, yo,
- 20:34what the fuck? What the fuck, fix my shit,
- 20:38right? And now my yak, like, you want
- 20:40to fuck his you, you dissing me? So as I'm walking out, mom South
- 20:48this is white kid. Fast asleep at the photo booth.
- 20:53Okay, fast asleep, snoring feet up a my God.
- 20:57Damn. That's white privilege.
- 21:00And I said to the two Junior might yo, when you guys fired
- 21:03this dude, right, could you hire me?
- 21:06Uh-huh. He says, what do you do?
- 21:07I do photography. He said, give me a resume.
- 21:10Ran home dropped off the resume right?
- 21:12Called them. Every day for a month.
- 21:14Guess what came first? They hired me before they fix
- 21:17the fork. Seals can't believe that.
- 21:24So I got hired Right? So I got hired.
- 21:28Uh huh and now it's like oh wow! This is great.
- 21:31So now I'm working in the motorcycle dealership.
- 21:34I'm doing photography, videography and jr.
- 21:39Jr. Was the one that really like,
- 21:41push me like yo, we want our, we want this dealership to be like
- 21:44this. We need you to get video
- 21:48equipment and start to help us promote the brand.
- 21:52So, now I'm like, As things come crashing down, come crashing
- 21:57down. So now I'm like, oh wow.
- 22:01So now this thing is beginning to pick up right?
- 22:04I'm writing I'm interviewing bike Crews on the side.
- 22:07I'm working at the biggest motorcycle dealership in the
- 22:09country. Uh-huh!
- 22:10And now on the east coast and now like things are just popping
- 22:14popping popping and I just started to I went to um there's
- 22:22a dude named Larry in New York. I should know this stuff.
- 22:25I'm so sorry Larry. Something he died.
- 22:28He should write you to do the crucifix on the bike.
- 22:30Yeah, I think I heard there's a documentary on what's his name
- 22:33really? Wow.
- 22:36You look them up Larry something.
- 22:38Larry he did. He does be custom bikes.
- 22:41So I went to his show in New York, then I went to the then I
- 22:45went to the, the the Brooklyn Invitational, which is super
- 22:49dope, which is just like Elaine. What's his name?
- 22:55Put Larry New York Rat, Fink Larry.
- 22:58Um yes. I'm going to the Brooklyn infant
- 23:01Invitational, which was like a row of custom bike built Indian
- 23:06Larry then we go, right? And then Larry has happened to
- 23:08the Indian Larry. He has a street party, went to
- 23:10that Street party, then that same day, there's a Brooklyn
- 23:13invitation and then I just started to become consumed with
- 23:18the custom bikes. And then I started to find out
- 23:22that. Oh shit chop ahead.
- 23:25My boy Jay he's more of a Triumph guy.
- 23:30Dan a Harley guy. And that's when I started to
- 23:34figure out that, although people do cut, all type of custom
- 23:37bikes, they do custom Honda's Suzuki's and then that and
- 23:41that's when it just I became all in.
- 23:45I was I was completely completely engulfed by the
- 23:49thing. So now what else is it left to
- 23:54do in the bike industry? So much so one night, right?
- 23:58Uh-huh. My next door neighbor.
- 24:00Whose father taught my sister. He has a little daughter.
- 24:06And then I go. Hey, you want to come to work
- 24:09with me? And she said, yeah, she had a
- 24:10little 300 ninja and we just started riding together.
- 24:13Yep. So we wrote to my job, at
- 24:15Emerald Mountain. I was taking photography.
- 24:17We were just kicking it and end of the night after I'm done,
- 24:21click my pay, as we're coming out the garage, she wipes out.
- 24:24Wow, she wipes out, crashes or bike.
- 24:27We get on the bike, we get it started again.
- 24:30I said this, what we're going to do, we're going to go through
- 24:31the tunnel because everybody likes to go through that tunnel.
- 24:33She didn't really know how to ride, right?
- 24:35Right. Crazy thing like motorcycle,
- 24:39dudes, always want to bring beginner dudes, on some crazy
- 24:42shit. Let's go through the tunnel.
- 24:44How was he going to learn how to write data, right?
- 24:46So we go through the tunnel and I lived in Somerville but she
- 24:51lived on the corner from my mom's.
- 24:53So we go through the tunnel and I said we get off and we go to
- 24:56the gas station, fill up the bikes because I'm gonna escort
- 24:59her back home, right, then? Right back to Somerville.
- 25:01Can I get to do the tunnel three times?
- 25:04Yeah, I get to go through it. Back.
- 25:06And then back to, to go home. Something, this is great.
- 25:10We get to the gases, her bike won't start.
- 25:12So then I get on the phone, but then I'm called Harley-Davidson
- 25:15Progressive and they're all like, yeah, we could come and
- 25:17help you as well. Harley I'm like, I don't know
- 25:19what the fuck it is. It's like a black.
- 25:23And we're trying to figure out, we can't get the bike on the tow
- 25:26truck and then a Toyota Camry pulls up.
- 25:29And the dude jumps out of it. And he says to me, are you
- 25:33niggas, good? And I'm looking at this fucking
- 25:38gorilla. And I'm like, I got to make sure
- 25:44that I bring back. This dude's daughter in one
- 25:46piece right now you say, girl this black dude.
- 25:49Nah, he's a Dominican. Okay now I didn't know what he
- 25:51wants. Okay, you just look like a
- 25:53gorilla. So I'm thinking I can I have two
- 25:58options because he came off real aggressive.
- 26:02Uh-huh. And I'm thinking I gotta get him
- 26:05on the first shot. If I don't get him on the first
- 26:08one, this shit is over. I gotta get them.
- 26:11You're at right now. They're like, I'm cause I used
- 26:13to train UFC's. I'm like, sizing them up, and
- 26:16I'm thinking, do I do it at? I kick that leave with an elbow.
- 26:20Do I try and grapple? Um, do I shoot the Gap and pick
- 26:23them up with that, right? This is all going through my
- 26:25head light. How am I gonna get rid of this
- 26:27gorilla? Cuz this motherfucker is Big
- 26:29right, right, right, right. And While I'm going through my
- 26:34mind. How am I gonna?
- 26:36I'm looking at a trash. Can that running get the trash
- 26:39can and break it over his head? Like do I punch them?
- 26:42Do I kick him in the nuts? Do I like shoot the Gap?
- 26:46Hmm. He looked like that.
- 26:47Could put him in an arm bar. Can I get him in a rear naked
- 26:50choke? So I'm going through all my
- 26:52ways. How to destroy this dude and he
- 26:55says to me again, nigga. Are you good?
- 26:57But I don't hear him. All right.
- 26:58I'm trying to figure out how I'm gonna kill him, some gold to my
- 27:01mind. How I'm trying to kill this
- 27:02dude. He starts screaming at me,
- 27:06nigga. Are you good?
- 27:07That's what I woke up out of my fantasy world.
- 27:11I'm like, no, no no I ain't good.
- 27:15I've been thinking. I'm going to kill you but I
- 27:17haven't come with the reason I got to go.
- 27:23What the fuck is going on? I'm all like, at that point.
- 27:27Now I'm like, sir, could you fucking help us?
- 27:28Because I ran out of options in my mind to kill you. and, He
- 27:36says again, nigga, what the fuck is going on?
- 27:38I said, then I'm all right. Sir, we can't get her bike to
- 27:41start, right? Right.
- 27:43He goes, you know, how to pop the clutch?
- 27:45I'm all like, no. He goes at the ever drove
- 27:50standard shift. I go.
- 27:51Yes, they goes. It's the same fucking process.
- 27:54Nigga. Why is this dude so aggressive?
- 27:58Like, what the fuck? The tuna morning, like, tuna
- 28:00morning at this times, like three in the morning?
- 28:05Problem, he goes, put the put the bike in second gear, you
- 28:09know, how to put the bike in second gear, nigga, I'm on.
- 28:11What the fuck. So I put the bike in.
- 28:14Second gear. This motherfucker, grabs me by
- 28:16the shirt and just pushes me and the bike rolls popping in second
- 28:21bike. Starts, I bring it back to her
- 28:23pop. Put in the neutral bike is
- 28:25running and he's all like. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:28I'm glad that you. Goodnight could get home safe,
- 28:30right, right. Right.

- 28:57I go like, some guys, on Sons of Anarchy.
- 29:01This motherfucker got pissed that this shit ain't no show.
- 29:13Bang. Bang out of his trunk, and
- 29:17there's a cut and it's an outcast cut.
- 29:21Uh-huh. And I'm all like, okay, what's
- 29:25that? What the fuck is that?
- 29:27And he goes, you heard about the Hells Angels and I said, yeah,

- 29:48outcast documentary. There the two oldest black one
- 29:51percent by gangs in the world. Wow, dropping knowledge man.
- 29:55Somehow like okay. Okay he goes got to come by the
- 29:59club house. You're like, okay, like okay so
- 30:06I used to work at Emerald Lounge as a photographer and my mentor.
- 30:09Was this pimp And he's to see if you want to go there Mentor,
- 30:17everybody needs a pimp as an echo, if not you're working for
- 30:20that motherfucker. And like he was he was like an
- 30:27old-school like Pimp My from my God, I don't know what it looked
- 30:31like, from the 60s, the whole, getup the Hat, the jewelry, the
- 30:34shoes, the suit, the pocket square, the fucking cufflinks,
- 30:38the whole shit nothing's changed, nothing chain like
- 30:41this. It look like they took this dude
- 30:44out of the 70s and drop them in 2000 and he just you should just
- 30:48sit and just watch the ladies dance and he would buy alcohol.
- 30:52Sip is a sham Pain and he wasn't, he didn't really try and
- 30:55talk to girls and everything. He would just sit there and
- 30:58everyone will just come to him. Like he was like a giant cat, a
- 31:01gigantic peacock. In that motherfucker,
- 31:04peacocking, just chilling and I used to take this picture and
- 31:08became good friends, and you should give me cigars, right?
- 31:12Because he had these dope-ass cigars.
- 31:13And the next time I come on, we'll talk about the cigars out
- 31:16smoking for some crazy places, but be trying to keep this show
- 31:20under the under 10 hours under 10 hours and But all the other
- 31:25things, you've done Bobby sakes, so it gives me a cigar I said,
- 31:30you know what? I'm gonna take these cigars to
- 31:32the to the clubhouse, okay? So go out to the club house and
- 31:36I walk up to my man and I'm all like, yo gorilla the gorilla at
- 31:41this point. Now we've talked every single
- 31:43day, we become really close friends and then I finally said
- 31:47I, let me go out to the club house.
- 31:48It's crazy how that front. Their friendship happened in 30
- 31:51seconds, right? I met him one night.
- 31:53Unlike by Friday where best friend because from like the
- 31:56Wednesday night to the Friday go to Saturday morning, go to the
- 31:58club we talking for 30 hours on the phone it's like a
- 32:01recruitment video motherfucker trying to recruit me because
- 32:05that's how they get you. Oh yeah yeah come by the club
- 32:07house so I go by the clubhouse I bring him some cigarettes and
- 32:15cigars to say thank you very much for what you did for us.
- 32:18Now I'm in the club house and I'm seeing and I'm looking
- 32:22around. Not my like holy shit - scene of
- 32:28the Sons of Anarchy. Felt like it, huh?
- 32:32I'm like, oh shit. What I like this?
- 32:38You are a prospect. Yeah, I'm like, holy shit.
- 32:41I like this. So, that became my spot and I
- 32:45would just bring him to God's will be outside smoking a cigar,
- 32:47right? Right.
- 32:49I never notice every time a cop drove by he would turn his back.
- 32:53Back, but I didn't know. Okay so I'm there with my
- 32:56fucking fat ass monkey ass smoking in the cops.
- 32:59Look at me taking my picture like an asshole, every time the
- 33:02cops will buy these dudes turn their back.
- 33:04Because at this point I really didn't know what was going on.
- 33:07All right, you're green. I'm green as fuck.
- 33:09I just this is fun and About a month later, go by, go back to
- 33:17the clubhouse ago. And you don't want to sound like
- 33:20a bitch, but I'm all like, never never.
- 33:24But I'm all like yo, what the fuck is going on, man?
- 33:27Every time the cops drive by and the cops are just driving by
- 33:30driving by driving by and I'm like, yo why you turn your back
- 33:33to the police like that? He goes.
- 33:35Oh, you didn't tell you, I go. No, he goes.
- 33:38I'm the president of this chapter.
- 33:40Oh, wow. Okay, excuse me.
- 33:43You're the boss. He was the president of the
- 33:47fucking ER, wow. He stopped to help you.
- 33:52He stopped to help me. So now I go back to the pimp, in
- 33:55the club are going. I'm going to the club house
- 33:57again. I need somebody, some banging
- 33:59cigars. So he gives me a long cigar and
- 34:02then a desert cigar, which is shorter, right?
- 34:04So that go to the clubhouse while Saturday night, because
- 34:07after the club is too, but the clubhouse is still jumping, go
- 34:11to the clubhouse and I'm online and we outside I go.
- 34:13What are you? Are you a gangster or a ladies,
- 34:15man? He goes.
- 34:17Hmm I'm a ladies man. So I give them the desert cigar,
- 34:21right? I said fuck that.
- 34:23I'm the ladies, man. You're the gangster.
- 34:26Take the fucking long-ass cigars.
- 34:27We just smoking cigars, and our friendship.
- 34:31Just fucking gelled from there. Yeah.
- 34:33And then all of a sudden, I'm going to all these bike clubs
- 34:38and I'm just watching like a fly on the wall, like the patch
- 34:41overs and everything else. And then he leaves.
- 34:46He leaves the club, right? When he retired.
- 34:49Door he called because we won't be having these deep
- 34:52conversations about yo, dawg. Like, you're bigger than this
- 34:56lifestyle. He convinced the man to quit.
- 35:00I don't if I keep his the quit but it's like he just said, fuck
- 35:03it, I'm out. Okay.
- 35:04So I said, bumi quit and then it became really cool because then
- 35:09we would hang out. We can actually hang out.
- 35:11Go to cook outs in this backyard then he's not posting face on
- 35:14Facebook and then he starts to like to come alive and then he
- 35:19disappears. Well, I got to say that, that is
- 35:21a different life. When you're, when you're, when
- 35:23you're, you know, for lack of a better word, you know, in a
- 35:26Black Market, I guess, and, and, and Dibble.
- 35:28UND dabbling and wrongness, right?
- 35:31Yeah. Like it sits It was a it was a
- 35:35fascinating time. It was like, it was really cool
- 35:39and then, And then people the dealership because I remember I
- 35:44just started in the motorcycle game.
- 35:46This is like six months later. I'm like a fucking
- 35:48sergeant-at-arms for a club and whole time.
- 35:50I'm trying to get you to come racing.
- 35:52Yeah he's like I'm I'm learning how to put guns together.
- 36:03And then I'm at the motorcycle shop and then one of the dudes
- 36:06at the motorcycle shop was an ex Hells Angels Prospect.
- 36:10Okay, and he goes, I'm going to teach you how to ride because
- 36:15People started to wash me from the far left.
- 36:17Hmmm this dude used to be really nerdy.
- 36:21Mmm, and really green, yeah. Now, all of a sudden he's like,
- 36:26have helmets, hot, have helmets and like that shirt, plaid
- 36:30shirts, buttoned up and it's like, what the fuck is going on
- 36:34with this, dude. This dude that's completely my
- 36:37glasses. My glasses and like, everything
- 36:40starts to change. It's one of the dudes came up to
- 36:42me is all I was good. My all was good.
- 36:46He goes. I'm a teach you how to ride
- 36:47because I've know that you're different.
- 36:49Hmm, you became different. I'm going to teach you how to
- 36:51ride somebody. What does that mean?
- 36:54I'm gonna teach you how to ride. So he grabs like me and like
- 36:59four other guys, from the shop, and we're riding two by two by
- 37:02two. So basically, we're riding like
- 37:04how we're talking right now, but were 2 inches, 2 inches between
- 37:07each other, right? Two inches off the front tire
- 37:09and are not in this life, but yeah, I'm okay, so 2 by 2, so we
- 37:12write it like this, right? I'm to, I'm 2 inches 2 feet off
- 37:17the back tire in front of me. Mmm, and the dude behind me is
- 37:21two feet off of my back tire. And then mean you were two by
- 37:24two and this, two by two. We wrote it and I was scared as
- 37:30fuck because we're in one lane. So, when you come into a dip,
- 37:35yeah, it's like, what the fuck? Cuz I gotta stay in one lane.
- 37:39Right. Right.
- 37:40It's you gotta eat. So you in this puts a lot of
- 37:43trust on the people around you, right?
- 37:46Because y'all, are you all right in this one?
- 37:49All right, in this one and I'm like, this is crazy.
- 37:54So I break formation and I'm like This is crazy.
- 37:57We going to AB and there's only two of us and I'm like, how are
- 37:59we both going to make this band? It's crazy.
- 38:02Ya sigh break protocol. I drift out of the fucking lame?
- 38:06He reaches out, grabs, my fucking handlebars and pulls me
- 38:12back to him, oh no shit, oh my oh shit, I like this lifestyle.
- 38:22It is a, it is a, you know, I'm not trying to disparage.
- 38:26Any women when I say this but it's a Brotherhood or Sisterhood
- 38:30is so human Hood, I mean, the motorcycle Community, whether
- 38:34you're racing or in your case, you know, on the break and I'm
- 38:41just kidding. You know, if you're on a bike
- 38:45and other bikers see you, they stopped for you.
- 38:48And and and you know and I've said this on other episodes
- 38:52before I was in a car, I don't care if the most expensive car,
- 38:55no one's stopping. Me if I'm on the side of the
- 38:57road. Nobody, but if I'm if I'm on a
- 38:59to 50 or 150, somebody stopping another biker stopping and
- 39:03making sure you're good and that's a beautiful thing.
- 39:06And you know to hear that on that side you know, as well,
- 39:10it's just across the board. You know, if you're on two
- 39:12wheels regardless I think for the color your skin, you know,
- 39:17people look out for you. Yeah.
- 39:18And and then, It's wild. So then we go on a ride.
- 39:26Hmm, I can't say, who, what, where, when and who, but we on
- 39:29the highway, I know, we like 50 D, but I never joined any crew,
- 39:35right? So at this time now my boy has
- 39:37left the crew and he's like he's out and I'm riding with these
- 39:42dudes. So be riding Two, by Two, by
- 39:44Two, by Two, by Two Down The Highway, 80 miles an hour.
- 39:47And you can see the traffic in front of us just shelling off
- 39:51into the middle. Elaine.
- 39:52Mmm. Because when you got that many
- 39:54Harley's together, it's like it trailer truck.
- 39:58It's true. It's vibrating the ground,
- 40:01right, right? So you and your little car, your
- 40:03life and you looking, you looking in the rearview mirror
- 40:06and you see a whole bunch of angry motherfuckers with that
- 40:08face screwed up like fuck you, fuck the law.
- 40:11I hate my mom and my dad, you getting the fuck out of the lane
- 40:17so you just watching the traffic show off into the middle and
- 40:20I'ma, oh shit. Like this lifestyle.
- 40:25I look in my rearview mirror. Remember now, you gotta remove
- 40:28one you mirrors. Right.
- 40:28Okay. Why did these are reason behind
- 40:31it? Yeah I think I removed my left
- 40:33one. I only had one mirror of my
- 40:34body. I noticed that.
- 40:35Yeah, because, you know, you don't want to be your living on
- 40:37the edge. Only goofy guys have two mirrors
- 40:40on the motor side. You gotta remove once I remove
- 40:42one, right? So I'm riding.
- 40:44I look in my mirror and I see you.
- 40:46Massachusetts State. Police Light us up.
- 40:48Hmm. And I'm not gonna lie, I think I
- 40:52felt a little drop of pee or poop in my underwear because
- 40:57now, we talking RICO charge, right?
- 41:00This is organized crime. This ain't no fucking right.
- 41:05And I'm like, I'm looking around and I'm like, and I'm like, I'm
- 41:10the only nigga in this pack. I'm documenting the duck.
- 41:14No, I'm docking. All this.
- 41:16I'm just filming all this. The cop comes up passes, me goes
- 41:23to the front of the pack, lights up, and gives a fucking escort.
- 41:28No doubt bullshit. As we get through to bend the
- 41:33cop, then shells off into the middle Lane, and he just Cruise
- 41:36back. And as we're Ryan everybody is
- 41:38against the cop, the nod. Okay, then let's what's up?
- 41:40And I'm like, holy shit, different life, that's fucking
- 41:44respect. Yeah.
- 41:46Because I'm cop knows, I ain't fucking with 50 these dude.
- 41:50But he also might live that life.
- 41:52He might live that lifestyle to. Yeah.
- 41:54And and it was like it's the only time I've ever been with a
- 41:57gang of Misfits. where the cops were like, yo, that's what's up
- 42:04and And then I'm on youku, but I never joined because everybody
- 42:09that I knew that, I wrote with knew who I was right?
- 42:11And I think that's why they respected me.
- 42:13I'm a photographer. I'm that's all I am.
- 42:16I love the lights all document that.
- 42:18Yeah, or yeah, all that. Just do reggae.
- 42:21I'll I'll ride with you. If I'm out with you, and we got
- 42:25a bang, I'll bang, but you ain't calling me past nine talking
- 42:29about. We got to go bury somebody.
- 42:30No, no, no, that's not me. That's not my lifestyle.
- 42:34That's not who I am. Am that's not who I want to be
- 42:37right? But it's like I didn't I never
- 42:40showed up to be a prospect. I never showed up to wanted to
- 42:44join because I never became a prospect.
- 42:46I never even thought about joining but it's like all these
- 42:50all these dudes just like gravitated to me.
- 42:53I'ma tell you something real quick, okay.
- 42:56So now I'm an expert on all the 1% cruise and I just know them,
- 43:01but I want. Well, I'm riding around now.
- 43:03I know what neighborhoods to go into and they will not to go
- 43:05into when when I see your crew. I know who their the who they're
- 43:09affiliated with, who the not whether they're black, whether
- 43:12they're white. It don't matter.
- 43:14So, now I'm like, I'm like the motorcycle fucking connoisseur.
- 43:17You got the, you are So we at Mom's South and there's white
- 43:22boy come in with with lightning bolts all over his face.
- 43:27Mama, gotta love that. And I walk up to him, he's
- 43:32talking to the sales manager and I said to him, I go I know what,
- 43:36who the fuck you are? And he's looking at me like
- 43:43Okay. And it sounds like yo, man.
- 43:46Don't do it. He just likes to fuck with
- 43:48people at the dealership, that's all he is.
- 43:51Don't worry about him. We're trying, we're trying to
- 43:54train this dude, how to sell motorcycles.
- 43:56Mmm. Because every white dude that
- 43:58came to the dealership. I always run from say, you look
- 44:00like a trump supporter. You motherfucker, I'ma beat your
- 44:03ass after work. That's how I used to.
- 44:05I used to shake them down and then we'll live.
- 44:09The white ones are your? What the fuck is this dude
- 44:11problem? Like I'm just working here like
- 44:14I don't even Donald Trump. But why do you assume I like
- 44:16Trump? Because I'm white.
- 44:17So they just thought I was a weirdo, your Widow shamble
- 44:20weirdo but when the managers would say, don't mind him, I
- 44:23think that she said in the orientation, there's a black
- 44:26dude, in the back, he's gonna come up with you.
- 44:28With some racist bullshit, try your best.
- 44:31Not to knock him out, just ignore him.
- 44:33We liked him, we liked them. So this do got the lightning but
- 44:38it's a hot day. So the his makeup is fading
- 44:42because he make up his face a The fucking so I see lightning
- 44:48bolts all over his face. I'm on haiku.
- 44:52So I walk up to him again. In the complete, they used to
- 44:54buy lunch for us and we're in the he works there, he works
- 44:58there and it's the the shop. The service here is the service
- 45:04Bay that world peace in the service area.
- 45:06So I walk in, I go up to him and I said out loud and go.
- 45:09I treat this fucking cafeteria the service Bay like his general
- 45:14population. And if any of you white boys is
- 45:17in my pocket, you in my fucking pocket but they're all laughing
- 45:21because they know the A team. Well, here comes shakes with
- 45:24this bullshit at lunch, so I just knew that I was just a
- 45:28dickhead but this one dude was kind of nervous because he's
- 45:31got, he started, he got the ball, lightning bolts and then
- 45:34he will you I would see him, I watch him.
- 45:38He won back in the bathroom. Come back out.
- 45:40Face lit up again, nice and smooth new makeup on the face.
- 45:45So I go to my go, you're in my fucking pocket and he's like,
- 45:50listen man. I don't know what you're talking
- 45:52about. I go motherfucker, you know what
- 45:53I'm talking about? I'm in your pocket, it's in the
- 45:56sales manager, because now, I'm in his face, right?
- 45:58I'm in his face and the sales managers came up to me.
- 46:02He's like, yo, People only Shake, shut the fuck up.
- 46:06He never spoke to me like that. But at this point now they see
- 46:09that is. He's coming, he's uncomfortable.
- 46:11Yeah he's uncomfortable and it's like you're bullying somebody at
- 46:14work. So shakes.
- 46:21So all right. Boom boom boom.
- 46:22So now the shops closing I'm down.
- 46:24I'm down in my booth, good, man. I have the booth and yeah, back
- 46:27at the shop and I'm doing my pictures.
- 46:29Homie comes up to me and he goes man.
- 46:32Listen man, I don't want any problems here.
- 46:35Can I share something with you? And you never tell anyone.
- 46:39I said, yeah, I know what you about.
- 46:42He pulls out his federal inmate card.
- 46:45Oh no kid. It was locked up in Baltimore.
- 46:47Got you and he said, yes, I am a white supremacist but I'm
- 46:53trying, my he goes, you know what it is.
- 46:55I know what it is. I know what it is.
- 46:57You have to join the white supremacy because you lock up
- 46:59the whole bunch of black dudes and you want to come out.
- 47:01So you gotta do you do? Yeah affiliation right.
- 47:06And he goes, listen man, I'm out.
- 47:09Now, I did my time and I think did like fucking mad years, you
- 47:14know I'm saying? I can't imagine that life.
- 47:16Yeah, I don't even want to and, um, this crazy and he goes, yo,
- 47:26man, I'm trying to keep this job, raise my family, I don't
- 47:29want no bullshit from you, please.
- 47:33So I said to him, I go I Know Who You Are.
- 47:37I won't say the crew by so I know what crew you from and he's
- 47:40all like, okay I go I know who you are and I said I'm gonna
- 47:44make a call to the Head dude of that club to see if you really
- 47:50official. Hmm.
- 47:53He's booking Mila how the house is black dude.
- 47:55Going to call a white supremacist and check me the
- 47:58fuck I am. I called ahead fucking
- 48:04motherfucker full of club and I'm all like, yo, what's up with
- 48:07this, dude? He goes.
- 48:09Where is he at? I go, he's here.
- 48:11He's all like, he's all right. What is he saying?
- 48:14I said, he says, he's such a such he goes, oh yeah, he's a
- 48:17jailhouse Duty. Became join the club through the
- 48:19jailhouse. He's done some work for us.
- 48:22He's good. Got you.
- 48:24So Sunday? Right?
- 48:26I see you. And he's wiping the bikes down
- 48:29because all the new employees gotta wipe the bikes down and
- 48:31shit. Cause I got to bring them up to
- 48:32the front. Doesn't sound fun, right?
- 48:34And I walked by him and jokingly says to me, yo, shakes.
- 48:39Are you able to were you able to make that call?
- 48:42I said, absolutely. I did, you're good and I walked
- 48:45away and I left it like that he up until this day.
- 48:48If he hears this park is going to say this.
- 48:50Dude's a motherfucker. He doesn't know that I actually
- 48:55made the call right, right. and, It's I just really love.
- 49:04I really love that 1% lifestyle like just being around it and I
- 49:08like when we go for a ride, I watched you guys on the sports
- 49:12bikes and it just looks like utter confusion.
- 49:15You got one, dude, doing a wheelie over here.
- 49:18You got one dude, over there riding on this front time, you
- 49:21got to do it in front doing a burnout.
- 49:23You got this, dude. I had weaving anyway.
- 49:31Why? I'm not in that pie slice of the
- 49:35pie. Okay.
- 49:36You know we might do burnouts at the end of races you might do
- 49:40wheelies because we're racing Sosa power wheelie.
- 49:44But that's a that's a stunt crew.
- 49:45That's a whole different crew and we got a reached out to
- 49:48those people. That's a crazy part about this
- 49:49whole motorcycle thing because we've known each other for a
- 49:52long time. As you mentioned, at the
- 49:54beginning of the show, we talked about getting to this motorcycle
- 49:57thing we got into the motorcycle thing and I'm racing.
- 50:00And and you're hanging out with gangsters and custom bikes and
- 50:05you know monkey bars facing it down the highway and and and
- 50:13that's the crazy thing about this in this expression, right?
- 50:18Because we're expressing ourselves and and how we you
- 50:24know we all have a love of motorcycles for whatever reason.
- 50:28We just love it and we all express it differently.
- 50:31I'm we're not part of that stunts stunts crew.
- 50:34But you know, there's an appreciation there because I
- 50:37think them people they they messed themselves up a lot.
- 50:41I mean, racing bikes you fall, right?
- 50:43But you know, all those stunts, your fault raise a thousand
- 50:47times before you get it right. Give me some of y'all might be
- 50:50lucky but we're gonna get those people on but you know there's
- 50:53there's this whole many different communities right in
- 50:58the motorcycle community so little subsection I guess for
- 51:01lack of a better word and that's the part that's crazy and we
- 51:05still in 2023 just still trying to get you to the racetrack, get
- 51:08you out of 300, or 400 do some laps and and it is chaos.
- 51:12We, you know, we all gotta out real, got our own lines.
- 51:15We tend to all have our own lines and we and we tend to once
- 51:17we're on a road race track, where, you know, we tend to try
- 51:20and beat the person next to us or behind us a weird.
- 51:23But when we're done, It's all love.
- 51:27I'm astounded that. Like, like, like every community
- 51:30and we're all done, it's all loved is a mutual respect.
- 51:34And you know, it's simple to say, we're putting our lives on
- 51:36the lines, but I think we are living Our Lives.
- 51:41I don't think we put it on a line where we are living.
- 51:44And and and and when we get on these two wheels, if you haven't
- 51:48been on one, you wouldn't understand.
- 51:52It's let me tell something I don't know if they still do it,
- 51:54but every Tuesday night, On Newbury Street at the top and
- 51:57you Berry Street Cruisers sports bikes, all type of bikes cafe.
- 52:04Racers, we all get together and we just ride right?
- 52:08And it's it's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful culture and
- 52:19It's something that everybody has to do in your life and you
- 52:22don't have to go to an extreme. No, I truly believe after
- 52:26working to my motorcycle injury for five years I think every
- 52:32single person if you're gonna buy, if you're gonna buy a bike
- 52:38or sports bike, I 100% you got to do a track day because this
- 52:43thing, this isn't this is not a hobby, this is a skill set and
- 52:49you taught. You taught me that right riding
- 52:51a bike. Is a skill set.
- 52:53It has nothing to do with anything else, besides your
- 52:56skill set and working at the motorcycle shop, Because when
- 53:00you come out and you go in the back, there's like a wind eat
- 53:02railroad. Like the it's it's through the
- 53:04woods, but it's like a community and that's what we do.
- 53:07Like the motorcycle training and such demo days.
- 53:12Yep. So I was the, I went from not
- 53:15riding at all to becoming the fucking.
- 53:18I was the head demo guy. I used to lead the demo rides.
- 53:23Oh wow, okay. So what I worked at the
- 53:25motorcycle shop like Yamaha will come through, Indian will come
- 53:28through victory would come through and I would be the dude
- 53:31on the front because of my experience riding two by two,
- 53:38with a lot of the crews, right? You guys comfortable, my skill
- 53:41set just jumped through the roof and I rode a bike every single
- 53:46day in Massachusetts. I rode a bike every single day
- 53:51for five. Yeah, because I had to move the
- 53:53bikes in the dealership, so you're always on a bike life.
- 53:55Reading there isn't the only bike I haven't ridden is the is
- 54:01expensive sport bike. What are they called?
- 54:03Ducati's not to call this a road.
- 54:06All yours. Perlier not Aprilia.
- 54:10The other one, I don't know the other one, the other expensive
- 54:14exam W note, other attempt expensive, Italian come on, MV
- 54:18Agusta MV Agusta never ridden one.
- 54:20Atolls I've ridden every single I've ridden, there's not because
- 54:25at Mom's they have every single bike in the warehouse pretty
- 54:29much, I've ridden every brand dirt bike that they make besides
- 54:34MV Agusta because nobody trades in MV Agusta, know everything
- 54:39and you got something you buy it you put it on your shelf. and
- 54:43it's just, it's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
- 54:48Beautiful thing, man. And it was great, it was really
- 54:52cool to to get into that industry friend.
- 54:59And we gotta go for a ride because I was going to sell my
- 55:01bike and I'm glad you didn't. I remember, you know, you had a
- 55:05he had a couple of years where you were, because you've moved
- 55:08on from the the Harley and went to an Indian.
- 55:11So now you run an Indian. Yeah, I got a victory highball,
- 55:15you know, and and and running. We definitely got to go for a
- 55:17ride and get you to the track. So, that's two things gotta
- 55:20happen. I and I got plenty of race bikes
- 55:23now. So we just gotta get you a suit.
- 55:25My problem is my problem is He's Mine.
- 55:28He's ma'am. I got arthritis in my knees, my
- 55:30knees going so high bail. I goddamn you go.
- 55:33You don't figure something out. But yeah, I mean it is crazy.
- 55:40And just working at the shop. And you just watch these guys
- 55:46come in. Hmm, you could tell you could
- 55:50tell you could tell a do that does attract day and a dude that
- 55:55doesn't. Yeah.
- 55:56When they pull into the dealership you can see the
- 55:58different. You could see the difference.
- 56:01Even how people like you can tell.
- 56:04You can tell a club dude. From a non club dude.
- 56:08Right. I'll Club do when they come into
- 56:09the dealership. You didn't have to cut off
- 56:10because you don't want to put your cut on.
- 56:14And they always back there bike in great because if something
- 56:18goes off they want to be able to go out forward.
- 56:20Now I'm Club dudes Drive their bike club, dudes.
- 56:24Back at him, right? Right.
- 56:26I've seen people come and you might as well.
- 56:28You see people pull in and they forget to put the kickstand
- 56:37dudes dudes, that do track days. You can hear them.
- 56:41Decelerating the bike, has it coming to the parking lot?
- 56:44Yeah, four five, six, not four, five, six, five, four, three,
- 56:49two, neutral Colston kickstand out, drop the bike, come off
- 56:56Fonzarelli day long. And then the other dudes, I
- 57:00don't do track dates neutral. Turn the bike off.
- 57:03Yeah and and I just think that you it was and then after they
- 57:06put the bike down there, check the bike to make sure it's
- 57:08stable. Yeah, It's crazy, but it's all
- 57:19of its all allowed, man. It's all love and you have to
- 57:25You have to have to try riding a bike.
- 57:29You do I everybody at least and there's plenty of safe
- 57:32environments to ride a bike right?
- 57:35As we say the track and you know, not on the road.
- 57:38So if you're one of those folks that are a little afraid, we're
- 57:41all afraid I was all right. Well afraid, you know, and you
- 57:45know, all those folks that are afraid like you know, this safe
- 57:47environments for you to go and go try it because at least gotta
- 57:51try it once. And for most people I think
- 57:54they'll love it. Yeah, I think.
- 57:57It's been the five years has been amazing and now I was like
- 58:06I'm not really into it. I'm into real estate photography
- 58:09now so I don't really do anything with the bike world and
- 58:14the other day, like the other day like couple months ago, over
- 58:18the summer, I took my bike out for a ride and I was terrified
- 58:24because I haven't kept my skill set up.
- 58:26It was like For years, I went from riding every single day,
- 58:29right? 24 years going by and then me
- 58:31Ridin. Yeah.
- 58:32And it's, and it's a different feel because everything is new
- 58:35all again, and it's like, oh my God, like the world is the trees
- 58:39are flying by and all of this stuff and I didn't check the, I
- 58:43didn't check tire whether whether tire pressure weather
- 58:48and I brought my my dark glasses out.
- 58:52And you know, when you when you write every day, you're like,
- 58:55okay I'm going to be out four five, six, seven, eight hours,
- 59:00hmm. I know it's gonna get dark some
- 59:02room. I clear glasses or if I'm going
- 59:04to be out that late, I'm gonna bring my dark glasses and pop
- 59:07out the lenses, right? Me with my dumbass, I brought my
- 59:10dark glasses out and I ended up in Rhode Island like at 9:00 at
- 59:14night on my. I can't see shit.
- 59:16See nothing. And it's like these things that
- 59:21was like a Part of you like just you just remember I'm just
- 59:24remembering muscle memory. You got to learn all over.
- 59:26So you're the key to. That shakes is yaki.
- 59:28Pride got to keep riding. So now, at least 5,000 miles on
- 59:31your bike every year you have to at least none of these two
- 59:34hundred miles, A Thousand Miles business at least 5,000.
- 59:38And and it's funny right now that I'm a dad, I'm driving and
- 59:42I'd be looking. I've been looking at the do's
- 59:45and you sell it. There bike is old, but oh yeah,
- 59:47he just a summer dude. Oh yeah, you can tell by April
- 59:50May. By April May, you know who's
- 59:53just a summer do because a shaky?
- 59:55Yeah, no doubt. And and by September the bikes
- 1:00:00up, that's the one thing I was always amazed about like, When
- 1:00:04September Comes, the amount of people that come off the right.
- 1:00:07There's like you go outside and it's just like, you know, just
- 1:00:10Timber weeds and and and you on your bike, me like wizard,
- 1:00:13Buddy. L said it's not even that cold
- 1:00:15out and what you don't want this.
- 1:00:16That's just fine fine. But you but you gotta
- 1:00:19understand. September October November is
- 1:00:23really good. Riding with a, we don't want to
- 1:00:26turn to a science project, but we all know is a lot easier to
- 1:00:28compress colder than hot air. So the bike runs better.
- 1:00:32Mmm, you could wear all of your gear down comfortably, spent 10
- 1:00:35grand and all your gear, you can finally use it and it's like,
- 1:00:40October November. I remember, in 2015, when I
- 1:00:44bought my bike, I rode up up until like January 1st, you
- 1:00:48know, I think I've written just about Every month generally I
- 1:00:53try to get out. You know, if the weather is
- 1:00:55clear lately I haven't been I mean I honestly say last couple
- 1:00:58of years, I haven't ridden in the winter as much as I've done
- 1:01:01it before. But, you know, if I don't ride
- 1:01:04and in the wintertime, I'm probably gonna buy a bike right
- 1:01:08now. Yeah.
- 1:01:09You're buying bikes in the winter.
- 1:01:11So I got a ride just to get that fixed, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:01:14So, getting out even once a month, you know, on a nice hat.
- 1:01:17You know, 40 degree 30 day, everything took 20-degree
- 1:01:20weather so on. Lee, you know, I don't have a
- 1:01:22problem with that but it is, you know, it's one of the best
- 1:01:27therapies out there for a long day.
- 1:01:30It's and let me tell something. I know when you on that bike,
- 1:01:33man. And you're riding, you got to
- 1:01:36remember the road cuz road conditions changes every 15
- 1:01:39minutes to say, forgotten a bite, it would take.
- 1:01:41So if you go down the road, if you go down Main Street, you go
- 1:01:46back up, Main Street, you go back down Main Street.
- 1:01:48Again, like might be always spilled trash.
- 1:01:50In the road and wrote and you just locked in and you don't
- 1:01:54have time to think about nothing else.
- 1:01:57Nothing else matters. Besides you the sound of your
- 1:02:00bike, the wind the scenery, right?
- 1:02:04And and the no mental pressure cause you gotta pay attention to
- 1:02:10the road. There is no, there is no feeling
- 1:02:13about that and the only problem that when these work at the
- 1:02:16motorcycle shop, and we would like Ride Like the Yamahas or
- 1:02:18the BMW, Out. And when we going through the
- 1:02:22woods and you hear the birds chirping because those Motors
- 1:02:25are really low, hear the birds chirping and you hear the
- 1:02:30squirrels and the trees break the branches break in and you
- 1:02:34can hear the leaves falling and you hear the stream and you just
- 1:02:38ride, oh, that's like you, bring people got their, their, their
- 1:02:42wood stove, wood stoves burning, and you can smell all that.
- 1:02:45That's, it's an amazing time to be out.
- 1:02:48Riding, you know, I Being in the car is not the same like Ridin
- 1:02:53and getting just being part of the environment.
- 1:02:56It's a beautiful thing man and it's so crazy that when me my
- 1:03:00girl is driving all the windows are down in the car.
- 1:03:03She goes, I can't hear nothing. It's just I love that wind in
- 1:03:07the face and I think now, when I'm 49 this summer, I think my
- 1:03:13days of have helmets and t-shirts.
- 1:03:16And yeah, I think I'm going to invest in a full face.
- 1:03:22Way to go. I think that's the way to go.
- 1:03:24Gotta get a full face helmet. I'm going to miss a lot of that
- 1:03:27wind in the face. Do you still get it?
- 1:03:28It's not the same full force but you definitely because I only
- 1:03:32wear full fist. Full face helmet and I can still
- 1:03:35appreciate the outside so definitely do that.
- 1:03:39And it's a for just in case. Yeah, just you always ride for
- 1:03:42the crash. Do you dress for the crash?
- 1:03:44Not for the ride? Exactly.
- 1:03:46When you want to Cruiser, you dress for the ride.
- 1:03:49That's true. T-shirt bullshit-ass Nazi
- 1:03:53helmet, dumb shit. I would never ever ever.
- 1:03:57What the fuck was I thinking I will never wear that stupid ass
- 1:04:01helmet, against a black man, wearing a Nazi German Helmet,
- 1:04:05and it's plastic. If you fall, it ain't saving
- 1:04:08your ass. Now, they just come and sweep
- 1:04:10you up in the helmet. It was there to the be forever.
