- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Oh, hello.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: This is Mooney's Mythic Podcast.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: I am here.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: I'm not quite ready,
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: so I'm going to play you a song whilst I just kind of melt into my body and remember
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: the sort of toffee softness of myself.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: And I'm going to play you the synthonic, synth-phonic orchestra.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: I know some of you know that I've been a Touring around with them a bit,
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: doing some comparing and a bit of backing vocals and they will be playing at
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: the Rose Concert on Friday night.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: So I'm comparing the Rose Concert on Friday night in Glastonbury Town Hall.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: And they'll be,
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: oh it's the best,
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: the best of Glastonbury musicians will be there and Maythorne are going
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: to be playing in the end so you will be able to get your groove
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: on like nobody's business, I promise you we'll be dancing.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: But for now let us just unwind and unravel,
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: let's smooch with ourselves to the sounds of this track.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: You said this time That I've gone too far As emotions slowed And
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: the record stopped I was on my knees Holding the truth When I lost my grip
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: And your love I keep going round in cycles back to you.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: Two hearts and one blue.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: And I'm on my knees, Holding the truth,
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: As I lose my grip, and your love slips through.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: It's you, always been you.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: I keep going round in cycles right to you.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: Too hard.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: And one blue moon, black waves fly and earth moves just for you.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes.
- 4:59SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Thank you for helping us to arrive here.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: That is the Synthphonic Orchestra.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: And thanks for your messages about last week's pod.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: I so appreciated it.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: You know, it was quite a thing to kind of get back to weekly.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: And I had a lot of messages saying, thank goodness you're back and great to hear you again.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: And I also had a couple of people leave,
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: whether that was the death or whether that was the hard-ons or whether that was me
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: or whatever, blessings on their leaving this oral journey.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: I'm feeling a lot of beauty around me at the moment.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: There's an expansion and also a
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: listening and noticing of beauty
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: and I hope we're all feeling that,
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: that our gaze has kind of turned to the changing in the air,
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: the changing of the feel, the changing of the nature.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: And I think for me that that's been magnified because I have been supporting,
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: well, I've been witnessing really a vision quest.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: So locally,
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: 12 people went into the forest for four days and four nights with no food and water
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: by themselves.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: And I joined,
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: I haven't done anything to do with the setup,
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: but I am a pipe carrier, which means that I've done my vision quest commitments.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: I've done four vision quests.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: And I wanted to support these questers.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: It's such a brave thing to do and it's for everyone.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: You know, when people take big movements in their lives in any way, then it's for everyone.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: We all feel it.
- 6:57SPEAKER_01: So there's always a base camp.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: There's always a fire lit for them so that there's a village to come back to,
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: you know, and I wanted to be part of that village.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: So I came and I just wanted to Bring my energy there for a little while.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: But when I arrived there,
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: I knew that I was going to have to be there when the questers came out of the forest
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: because it's just the most incredible and glorious thing to witness,
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: to feel in your body.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: The different ways that they come out deep in their dreaming of
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: the earth themselves, completely starlit.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: They've had an extraordinary time.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: And you can, it's written all over them.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: So I'm really, really grateful for that.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: And as I arrived to this village,
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: There was a discussion about women and their moon time
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: because traditionally women would not come into ceremony.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: They wouldn't touch sacred objects.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: They wouldn't touch the fire.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: They wouldn't quest if they were bleeding.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: And there were some all different discussions all around that wheel around
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: whether it's exile, whether it's appropriate, whether it should change in its times.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: And then one woman afterwards said to me, Yeah, but we would all bleed together.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: If this was really the village, we would all be bleeding together.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: So there's a lot of these discussions about women being kind of rejected
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: because they're not feeling rejected because they're not able to take part in
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: the main thrust of a ceremony.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: But we would have all been together.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: And I felt really heartened by that.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: And as the kind of season turns, I've just been feeling that memory.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: It's like seeing if I can tune into that memory in my body.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: When we all were in cycles together,
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: then someone maybe would go out of cycle and they'd be pulled back into our cycle.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: And I don't just mean bleeding.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, in all of our cycles, we would...
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: There would be a whole gathering on the same energy.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: If someone was getting ready to build a house and everyone would go
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: and support building that house,
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: if there was the barn raising,
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: everyone would come together and raise a barn together.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: I'm absolutely just...
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: Chewing for more of that in my life, more of that around me.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: And I am absolutely taking it upon myself to just gather,
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: gather, gather people in all the different ways that I can that's available to me.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: And my first gathering is an online gathering next Thursday, the Autumn Threshold Gathering.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: And I really want you to come.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: So it's two for one.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: On Eventbrite,
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: if you buy the tickets on Eventbrite,
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: you get two tickets with a price of one so you can give another person that ticket
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: and you can do it together and you can witness each other in creating.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: Co-creating a really gorgeous winter for yourselves.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Let's have an amazing winter time.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: Let us nestle down and call in and summon and intend and craft
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: and vision what we want and then let's all see each other doing it and creating it.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: And if that doesn't groove with you,
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: just have a think about how are you going to Connect with the people around you.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: How are you going to stay connected with yourself?
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: What does feel juicy for you this autumn, winter?
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: It's really up for me.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: This week I've been interviewing a storyteller and that was amazing.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: It was my first Zoom interview so that was a little bit of a learning curve for me.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: And his name is Owen Statton.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: He's got a brilliant podcast called the Time Between Times Podcast and he's got
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: the most incredible Welsh deep accent.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: And I'll put that up for you in an episode or so.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: One of my fingers are feeling it.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: I wanted to just share with you that one of the things he talked about
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: with his storytelling was that he likes to just take one moment,
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: one aspect and just expand and expand and expand and expand and detail it
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: and just take it to absolutely its kind of maximum capacity.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: That was really inspiring for me.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: I've never done that.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: You know, you might think I go on, but not intentionally in one place.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: So I've been thinking about what place in different stories.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: And you can just like in when I was in the theatre,
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: we would do something called hot seating where you would just like freeze.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: You'd be going through the play and the director would say freeze.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: And then he might ask a character a question, he might hot seat, that's what we would call it.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: You would be in the hot seat and people would ask you questions.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: So you would get a kind of 360
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: of all the different characters in that story.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: All the things that are going on in their head,
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: all the things that have gone on in the past or the future.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: You get this much fuller idea of what's going on.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: And then...
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: The kind of play or did we go again?
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: You just go back into that scene and do that scene with all that information that
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: the audience are never going to get to see.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: That's just a way of exploring the text or a way of exploring the characters.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: And in writing, it's called The Gleaming Detail.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: I don't know where that's come from.
- 13:04SPEAKER_01: I think it's like from Disney or somewhere like that.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: It's one of those writers.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: Gleaming detail,
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: which is a detail or an object in a story which encapsulates the whole of the story.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: And an example, the example I remember being given was,
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: He's got this bike and he cycles around on it and his brothers won't let him play
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: with his bigger friends and he's got this little bike and they've got
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: the bigger bikes and then you see him cycling around and he's quite lonely.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: Cycling around by himself.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: And then there's that image where the bike with ET in the front is like across the moon.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: So you're, you know, that has been transformed into another realm.
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: I want to tell you a story.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: I'm going to tell it to you as it was told to me, as I've been telling it.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: And then I'll tell you,
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: I was quite surprised by the origins, and then I'll tell you the origins.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: And often I tell this story in the wintertime,
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: at the end of winter, as a kind of becoming, coming into spring story.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: But I was really feeling it at the end of summertime as a way of...
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: Renewing myself into winter.
- 14:35SPEAKER_01: Once upon a time,
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: there was a king and he had three sons and they lived in a great castle
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: and they lived well and they lived happy.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: And one of the sons,
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: he had been running and racing through the woods that day and he went down to
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: the kitchen to get himself a glass of water and this is not a thing.
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: That should be done in a castle.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: Water should be summoned.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: But he went down to open one of the taps to pour some water for himself and the tap was dry.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: And he looked around and the servants,
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: they were shaking their heads and they said, yes, the taps are dry.
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: We don't know why.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And so the son went and spoke to his father and his father said,
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: oh, yes, this has happened before.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: I remember when this happened before.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Well, where did we get the water from?
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: How did we get it to work?
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: The sons were impatient.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: The three of them had gathered now.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: And he said, ah, well, at the edge of our land, there is a stream.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Some say it might be even a waterfall.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: People all have different reports of this stretch of water.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: And they say that there is a woman there, an old, old woman.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: And you must ask her for water.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And if she gives you a cup of that water, you bring it back to the castle.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Everything will be restored.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: And so the older son said, I am the eldest son.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: I will go down to this stream and I will take the water from this woman.
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: You'll ask for it, said the king.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: I will ask, he said.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: And so he took a goblet and he went down,
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: following his nose to the edge,
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: getting himself lost in the woods, finding his way in and out and all around.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: And he heard it before he saw it.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: It was a trickle,
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: a quiet trickle, but unmistakable after all the dryness that he had been through.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: And he could feel his body ready for the water.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: He walked towards it and it sparkled.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: He saw it jumping over stones.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: And as he got to the water's edge, he almost missed her.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: There in a huddle, there was an old woman.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: He knew she was old because of the way she was hunched.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: But he couldn't see her face because it was covered in a cloth And he looked at
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: the hands which clutched that cloth and they were dirty and they were wrinkled
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: and they were clenched tight.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: And he said, may I have a glass of water from your streams?
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: She looked at him,
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: peeking up,
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: and it was then that he could see the roomy eyes,
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: the long, broken nose which seemed to have a crust about the bottom.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: It was then that he could see that one of her teeth was snapped.
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: In other places there were only holes.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: She looked at him.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: And he quivered on the inside like a boy,
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: in a way that he had not quivered, not in a fight for a very long time.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: She said, you can have a glass of my water, but you gotta kiss me.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: And he looked at her and he said, no way.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: And it was as though as he pushed his hand back,
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: the energy of his descent knocked her to the ground.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: And some say in later stories that he did indeed hit her.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: But back up, he went to the castle.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: And his chalice was empty.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: And so the middle brother,
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: so fed up with always being the middle brother,
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: said, I'll go, I'll go and I'll do it for once in my life.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: I'm going to achieve something first.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: And so he went down and his brother had made a mess of his trail so it was easier
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: for him to find the way.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: And he saw the stream before he heard it.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: It had grown up a bit.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: It wasn't jumping around, lively and glistening.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: It was smooth and flowing.
- 19:29SPEAKER_01: And he looked at it for a moment and he thought how he'd like
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: to take off all his clothes and just soak himself in that water.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: He thought how he'd like to feel it against his skin,
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: how he'd like the shock of putting his head under and bringing it up,
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: of shaking his head so that the droplets could go there and all around.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: And then he saw her.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: And her shawl had slipped a little,
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: so he saw immediately the balding head and the hair creased and greased across it.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: He saw immediately that she seemed to have the kind of cheekbones
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: which only allowed skin to sink around and that her eyes were deep set in the back
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: of her head.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: And he asked hesitantly, can I have a glass of water?
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: Will you fill my chalice?
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: And she looked up at him.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: And he thought perhaps she was smiling when she said, I
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: will if you kiss me.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: Rocky was revolted.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Deep down in his stomach he felt his no and he walked back indignant to the castle.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: I am a prince.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: What do you think of me?
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: I will not.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: So it was left to the younger brother.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: He didn't go the same way as the others because he knew.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: He knew the ways of the rivers and the streams.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: And he knew that there was a tiny little stream in the woods.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: If you followed that,
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: it would lead its way,
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: opening and opening and opening and up,
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: zigzagging up the mountain to where the water then fell in a long sheet,
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: where they say,
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: if you stood behind it and watched through the water,
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: the world of the Fae would be revealed to you.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And often he went there to dream and to sing,
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: to put a stick in the water and watch it move away.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: And so he went there.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: And she was there, so she was.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: Crouched down a little more tightly, hunched over a little more because the wind began to blow.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: And he had his chalice in
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: his hands and he said, will you feel this for me?
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: She looked up at him, twice rejected.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: And she said, I will if you kiss me.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: And he said, I'll kiss you and I'll do more.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: And he cupped his face in her hands.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: He cupped her face in his hands.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: And he kissed her.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: And he stroked her face.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: And he wrapped his arms around her.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: And he kissed her again.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: And as he kissed and kissed her, so her shawl began to loosen around her.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: And as the shawl loosened around her, so it began to fall off.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: But it didn't fall off straight down, it began to billow around her.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: And as it billowed around her, so she moved.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: And so she sighed, and so she breathed, and so she stretched.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: And as she did all of those things, she was changing.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: As she did all of those things, her hair began to soften and smooth.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: Her face began to smile and open.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Her flesh began to pinken.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: And she looked at him and her eyes began to change too.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: Her eyes began
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Draw the colour in from all around her,
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: the greens and the blue of the sky,
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: the brown of the earth, filling and filling her eyes with colour.
- 24:11SPEAKER_01: And then she smiled as he kissed her again and he kissed her throat and
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: as he kissed her seven times on the throat so she started to laugh and laugh
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: and laugh and this time as she laughed she shook and as she shook
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: the ears they began to shake off of her too.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: Until there she was.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: Standing, juicy, beautiful, sumptuous.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: And she took her chalice,
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: his chalice,
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: and she put it into the water and she pulled it up
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: and she offered it to him.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: And they drank and drank and drank and drank and drank.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: And
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: he took nothing back to the castle,
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: except that he knew that the water up there was flowing again,
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: renewed and rejuvenated, renewed
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: and rejuvenated.
- 25:33SPEAKER_01: Oh, I got taken with that story somewhere through the light of the candle here,
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: through the attention of your listening.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 25:44SPEAKER_01: I'm not going to edit out the mistakes that I've made.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: I want you to hear it as a whole.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: And I feel like
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, let's love, let's love all that is around us.
- 26:04SPEAKER_01: Let's love it and love it and love it and love it.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Love back to life what we can love back to life and let go and let go and let go
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: and keep letting go like the leaves are letting go.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: I know it's
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: You know, trite to say it, but I'm very much in the feeling of that right now.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: And this story, there's a translation of a version of this story with much more detail.
- 26:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm really excited now to know the pathway of these stories.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: They're called the loathly lady stories.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: And they're about,
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: well there's this one translated by Whitley Stokes where Niall is the son who goes,
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: I think at the beginning of the story he's actually left out to be eaten by
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: the birds but then a great bard picks him up and has a prophecy around him.
- 27:08SPEAKER_01: Anyway, he kisses the loathly lady.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: And as she changes, she says, yes, I am loathsome and bestial and horrible.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: And then she becomes beautiful, rowing lips and young.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: And he says, who are you?
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: And she says, I'm sovereignty.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: And it's hard fought.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: That's why I'm ugly at first.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Because it's hard fought and...
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: You know, yeah, I'm not sure.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: I don't know that that's something I want to,
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: bring into my Storytelling necessarily,
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: but I do love the idea of,
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: have experienced the feeling of,
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: just kind of like being kissed and being sensual and,
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: you know, dry places, moistening and places in us opening.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: We're never, we're cyclical beings.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: You know, we're cyclical.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: So we close our
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: And we open and we dry and we moisten and we turn away and we turn back again.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: We tighten and we loosen.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: It's all a journey.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: So let's not get caught in any places in us and feel like that's the end for us.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Or that that's how we are.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: We can keep changing.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: It's so amazing.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: That's all I've got for you, I think.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: I feel like I'm in a, yeah, I want to stay here.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: I want to stay here in the grace of the end of the story.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: I want you to stay in the grace of the story too.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: Buy me a cuppa on Patreon, Mooney's Mythic Podcast.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: I'd love you to.

- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'd love us all to gather.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: Tell your friends about this pod.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Tell them about anything I'm doing.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: You know, all those ways you can support me.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: I'd really appreciate that.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: I'm...
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: I've got some places left on my women who run with a wolves group,
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: which is going to start in about a month's time in Glastonbury at the end of October
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: in Glastonbury.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: So get in touch.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: We go through every story in that book so that then you can just use that.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: That whole book is like a medicine cabinet of stories for you.
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: I really want to.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Bring that to as many women as possible because it's totally incredible.
- 29:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I've got some Greek myth offerings too, one online and one in person.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: But I'll tell you more about those another time.
