- 0:00Speaker 1: Tell us about your adventures.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Well, I'll roll them out as the week he goes along. Okay,
- 0:06Speaker 2: the first one, remember the day I left, Yes, and
- 0:10Speaker 2: I called you from the Delta Lounge. Yeah, and I said,
- 0:15Speaker 2: you know, it's just not special anymore.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Everybody there's a million people in here.
- 0:19Speaker 1: They'll let anyone in.
- 0:23Speaker 2: I do like the free wine, but the bar doesn't
- 0:27Speaker 2: open that early anyway. Right after that, you know, we
- 0:32Speaker 2: got on the plane and suddenly here comes this guy
- 0:35Speaker 2: in a suit down the aisle and he's pushing past everybody,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and I'm like, what, he's important, and he's looking right
- 0:43Speaker 2: at me. Oh oh, this is where it begins.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You come with me.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And I said, oh, hi, Delta, I meant to get
- 0:54Speaker 2: you before you left the lounge. I wanted to give
- 0:56Speaker 2: you this gift bag. What appreciate you, thanks for flying?
- 1:02Speaker 2: And it went really okay. Is it because you were
- 1:05Speaker 2: Kerrie Jackson? I think it was because he heard or
- 1:07Speaker 2: someone heard on the radio that I was in the lounge.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Well that's nice. Well it was what was in the
- 1:13Speaker 1: gift back.
- 1:14Speaker 2: There were there was a box of games like a
- 1:17Speaker 2: card game and dice game, and there was some slippers
- 1:22Speaker 2: in there and a bunch of other stuff.
- 1:24Speaker 3: So that was very nice of them to do.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, but I also was concerned because he kept he
- 1:29Speaker 2: was pushing past people to get them.
- 1:31Speaker 4: And You're like, oh, they're going to think and they're
- 1:32Speaker 4: gonna not like me because and.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Then they given and then he goes and I said, well,
- 1:37Speaker 2: thank you, it's very nice. And then he has to
- 1:38Speaker 2: push past all.
- 1:39Speaker 3: There were people turning around going who is that? What's
- 1:42Speaker 3: going on? What did he give that?
- 1:44Speaker 2: And then and then you get on the plane and
- 1:46Speaker 2: I'm close to the first class area and I've noticed
- 1:50Speaker 2: that the curtains for the first class area have gone
- 1:54Speaker 2: from black curtains to these black yet see through curtains.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Hm hmm.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And I'm just like, well, wibly a security thing?
- 2:03Speaker 1: Why are we bothering?
- 2:04Speaker 3: Why are we bothering? Anyway, But let me give you
- 2:07Speaker 3: a couple of the gifts that I that I got
- 2:09Speaker 3: for you guys.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Okay, well the first the first thing, the thing that
- 2:14Speaker 2: I got for myself was this pen from the Yamazaki
- 2:19Speaker 2: distillery that I took it.
- 2:20Speaker 3: To steal it. No, you are famous for stealing, I am.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And Sue's like, how come you have at bought yourself
- 2:28Speaker 2: anything to take home yet, And I said, well, i'd
- 2:30Speaker 2: like this pen.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You're not buying.
- 2:32Speaker 3: A pen anyway, but it's a nice pet.
- 2:36Speaker 2: It's wood, the wood from the bears anyway. So, because
- 2:45Speaker 2: our philosophy is we have too much jump, and we
- 2:50Speaker 2: do appreciate the gifts that you all give us, we
- 2:52Speaker 2: really do, but we've run out of room to keep
- 2:56Speaker 2: a lot of it. So Sue found these, and I
- 2:58Speaker 2: think they're just perfect because it all also goes with
- 3:00Speaker 2: our old saying of key tags and fun. So these
- 3:05Speaker 2: are key tags on fun. This is this is your
- 3:08Speaker 2: your name in Japanese.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Oh that's nice. I like that.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Thank you, the wooden key chain, and this one is
- 3:14Speaker 3: this one is.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Let's see this bill And so they actually had like
- 3:19Speaker 4: a whole rack and you found my name on the road.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Wow, No, she found Carrie, but with an eye as
- 3:27Speaker 2: the closest she could get spelled exactly the same except
- 3:31Speaker 2: with an eye.
- 3:31Speaker 3: So that's really cool.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Well, but didn't building you say you never got license
- 3:35Speaker 2: plates with your name on them when you were a kid.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I never did. They never did. I never.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I mean I saw them, but I never got one.
- 3:42Speaker 1: You never got one?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Okay, Now, for Katie again going with that we got
- 3:48Speaker 2: too much, we got too much crap.
- 3:50Speaker 3: These these are small little bits of crap.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Uh.
- 3:54Speaker 2: These are like Japanese legos, but they're very very tiny.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You can see tiny lego, very tiny. They're not the
- 4:02Speaker 2: regular sized legos. And I imagine that they're going to
- 4:04Speaker 2: be hard to put together.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Bring it on. Challenge accepted.
- 4:07Speaker 2: But it says here, Uh, you're Japanese. You're your dinosaur
- 4:11Speaker 2: friend in Japanese.
- 4:13Speaker 1: So you can put together a dinosaur.
- 4:14Speaker 3: So there's a there's a dinosaur head, and then there's
- 4:17Speaker 3: that one. What's that dinosaur? You go, the one with
- 4:22Speaker 3: a big ball on his table? Yeah, thank you.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Those are cool'll be difficult to put together.
- 4:27Speaker 3: This t rex looks like it has an It has
- 4:29Speaker 3: an eggshll on its head? Is what that is?
- 4:31Speaker 1: Is that? What that? Figure out?
- 4:34Speaker 3: What?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Why?
- 4:35Speaker 3: It's a baby t rex? I don't know.
- 4:37Speaker 1: He just came out of the shell something like that.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, and then.
- 4:42Speaker 2: I figure we can give this away in our chicken
- 4:44Speaker 2: buckets eventually. Okay, I've got almost a thousand Japanese.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Y in here. Wow to give away.
- 4:55Speaker 2: With this money, you could buy one and a half
- 4:58Speaker 2: of those delicious eggs sand which.
- 5:03Speaker 1: There's that I've been craving an egg salad sandwich ever
- 5:06Speaker 1: since you talked about that.
- 5:07Speaker 3: It's just amazing. It's amazing how how they've cracked that cold.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Well, it's milk bread.
- 5:13Speaker 3: The milk bread is milk bread.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It's just a really white, light, fluffy white bread.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I know it's it's just delicious.
- 5:22Speaker 2: But anyway, so our first days were well, we we
- 5:27Speaker 2: we stopped in Japan first to jump to Korea.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Did you spend the night there or you just were there?
- 5:33Speaker 2: We we essentially spent the night and then jumped to
- 5:36Speaker 2: Korea to go visit family. But that's that's where that's
- 5:40Speaker 2: where I found King Whiskey, which I showed you you
- 5:45Speaker 2: saw those pictures of the giant bottles of whiskey. But
- 5:50Speaker 2: then at the airport in Busan, we found that the
- 5:55Speaker 2: train to Busan is not anything to be feared. It's
- 5:58Speaker 2: actually all but you know, it's a sushi train. It
- 6:02Speaker 2: brings you sushi on this on this track, you know.
- 6:06Speaker 3: So that was nice.
- 6:07Speaker 2: But the other disturbing thing was that I saw this
- 6:10Speaker 2: in the airport and this is this is a foreign airport,
- 6:14Speaker 2: so they're they're trying to get Americans to buy things, right,
- 6:19Speaker 2: so they must think that this.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Is who we are.
- 6:22Speaker 2: There's a rack of books here, and you know the
- 6:26Speaker 2: the ninth Man the judges list, the Poppy War you
- 6:29Speaker 2: you've probably heard of. But then there's also the second row,
- 6:35Speaker 2: which are all Trump books.
- 6:39Speaker 5: Like positive Trump books or negative Trump Think Big Positive,
- 6:44Speaker 5: how to get rich and think like a billionaire.
- 6:48Speaker 1: These are these are the books that Trump wrote himself.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I don't know if he wrote them.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Oh, I'm sure it is their magazines or what the
- 6:53Speaker 3: deal is. But that's what they think of us anyway.
- 6:58Speaker 2: But then the rest of the story are visiting with
- 7:01Speaker 2: family in Korea and I had some delicious.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Korean You were in Seoul, right, we were in Seoul?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, did you have any trouble with love bugs? It's
- 7:11Speaker 1: his story in the news today about love bugs swarms
- 7:14Speaker 1: in South Korea's capital trigger aid a debate over pest control.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Soul residents are grappling with an invasion of love.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Bugs that sounds like an adorable invasion.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Swarmed hiking trails and urban areas across the South Korean capital,
- 7:29Speaker 1: Experts debating on how to handle the infestation. There's a
- 7:32Speaker 1: picture of a guy with bugs all over him. They
- 7:34Speaker 1: call they call them love bugs because they they while
- 7:38Speaker 1: they're when they copulate, they're flying, so they're hooked together
- 7:42Speaker 1: and then they fly and they land all over and
- 7:47Speaker 1: they don't hurt. I mean, they don't bite or they
- 7:48Speaker 1: don't they don't carry disease or anything. They're just swarms
- 7:52Speaker 1: of them.
- 7:52Speaker 3: I didn't see anything like, oh, there's a picture.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I didn't see anything bugs all over him.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Wow, that's frightening. Of course, I was mostly in the cities.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Well, this is in Seoul, in Seoul.
- 8:04Speaker 3: But they said the outskirts.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Of town, right, it says in hiking trails and urban
- 8:10Speaker 1: areas urban area.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Okay, we went to one urban area to uh To
- 8:14Speaker 2: Sue's brother's house was kind of an urban area. But
- 8:16Speaker 2: I didn't see anything like that. No, it was so
- 8:18Speaker 2: hot and muggy. Never go to these countries in the summertime.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Only go in the spring.
- 8:24Speaker 4: The did you just give up and say I'm just
- 8:26Speaker 4: gonna sweat, I'm not gonna fight it.
- 8:28Speaker 3: I'm just do there's nothing you can do.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I mean that's that's the only choice you
- 8:33Speaker 2: can make. There's nothing you can do. It's just so
- 8:36Speaker 2: hot and sweaty.
- 8:37Speaker 1: You know.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I just I wore linen most of the time and
- 8:40Speaker 2: prayed for the best. And that's why a public transportation
- 8:44Speaker 2: system that uses the subway a lot is a wonderful
- 8:48Speaker 2: thing because it's fast, it's cheap, and it's mostly.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Air conditioned mostly.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And I just I thought to myself, why would you
- 9:00Speaker 2: own a car in these towns? Why would you own
- 9:02Speaker 2: a car in Tokyo? Why would you own a car?
- 9:04Speaker 2: And so there's just no need get on the train.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Boom gets youreebruhere you need to go. We have love
- 9:10Speaker 3: bugs in Florida. They are terrible. Mmm. They must like
- 9:16Speaker 3: the humidity.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Yeah, speaking of love bugs, Gina. Yes, I've been looking
- 9:21Speaker 1: at Lauren Sanchez's dressdeous. I think it's lovely. It's fine,
- 9:26Speaker 1: It's just fine. It's obviously very expensive, well, you know, and.
- 9:30Speaker 3: He is the fashion fashion plate, fashion plate.
- 9:34Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with this dress, although it would be
- 9:37Speaker 1: hard to get into.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Well, she had a team, yes, a team to tighten
- 9:41Speaker 2: it around the waist and make her face, puck her
- 9:44Speaker 2: up even more.
- 9:45Speaker 3: That's frightening.
