- 0:09Speaker 2: CAV podcast. Ladies and gentlemen, it's very good to see
- 0:12Speaker 2: you're Now we're rolling. Ok Now, we're rolling. I thought
- 0:16Speaker 2: we were kind of rolling already.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Because I'm bad at podcasts. I'm sorry.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It's all good. It's all good. Man shout out to Dallas, Dallas, Texas.
- 0:23Speaker 2: His own is here.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Sure, Ralph Barbosa by way of Dallas, Texas in the house.
- 0:28Speaker 2: In the house. Let me ask you a question, like
- 0:30Speaker 2: is it cool like because I know you're, like, you know,
- 0:32Speaker 2: you liking the hip hop and shit. You obviously did
- 0:34Speaker 2: some skits on OT's album, and you know, I always
- 0:36Speaker 2: see you hanging out with rappers and ship. But is
- 0:38Speaker 2: it cool to have like like fucking Dallas is kind
- 0:41Speaker 2: of popping, like big ex the plugs fucking lit right now.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never met him, but yeah, I've never got
- 0:46Speaker 1: to meet him.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Arguably, like two of the like the two popping guys
- 0:50Speaker 2: from Dallas right now nationally and your own you know.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Who, We're so busy, we never run into each other,
- 0:55Speaker 1: you know.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, how many shows are you doing like a week,
- 0:58Speaker 2: like when you're just like, obviously, I'm sure you got
- 1:01Speaker 2: your main tour. But if like, let's say you're like
- 1:03Speaker 2: at a tour and you're just like, yo, I just
- 1:05Speaker 2: want to pop up on stage and just work some shit.
- 1:07Speaker 1: My main shows are always going to be like the
- 1:09Speaker 1: Friday Saturday, sometimes Thursday Friday Saturday, which would always end
- 1:13Speaker 1: up being like six shows.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Is not always happening always always.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And then like this weekend, I mean this week we
- 1:22Speaker 1: did so today's Wednesday, Tuesday. Last night we did a
- 1:26Speaker 1: college gig at UC Riverside shout out to the students
- 1:29Speaker 1: from there. And then tonight Wednesday and tomorrow we're going
- 1:33Speaker 1: to do two shows a night at the Comedy Store
- 1:35Speaker 1: just to work out some material. So if you are
- 1:38Speaker 1: here to see a good show, you have overpaid because
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'm just going new shit. Yeah, I'll just go out there,
- 1:44Speaker 1: work some shit out, maybe just talk to the crowd
- 1:46Speaker 1: or something. I don't do too much crowd work, but is.
- 1:50Speaker 2: That a thing now, right? Like it's like you almost
- 1:52Speaker 2: like there are certain guys who like are like really
- 1:55Speaker 2: kind of exclusively known for just talking to the crowd. Yeah,
- 1:59Speaker 2: and like to me, it's cool, but like, is it
- 2:01Speaker 2: is it safe to say that like crowd work, comedians
- 2:05Speaker 2: are frowned upon against like I think in the industry,
- 2:08Speaker 2: if you.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Would, I wouldn't say they're frowned upon. I think it
- 2:10Speaker 1: depends on like the the age of the comedian or
- 2:16Speaker 1: maybe just the comedian themselves.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Like some old head.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yeah, just like like a traditional like purists, like kind
- 2:23Speaker 1: of like with It's kind of like with hip hop,
- 2:25Speaker 1: remember where a lot of people were hating on like
- 2:27Speaker 1: mumble wrap or or like oh, they don't even have
- 2:30Speaker 1: metaphors anymore. I think it's kind of like that. But
- 2:33Speaker 1: in my in my mind, funny's funny for sure, you
- 2:36Speaker 1: know what I mean. A good show is a good
- 2:37Speaker 1: show no matter what.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, And I feel like too like nowadays, like because
- 2:41Speaker 2: it was another thing where like, oh, my guy pulled
- 2:43Speaker 2: the label off the diet doctor pepper. You give diet
- 2:45Speaker 2: doctor pepper free love.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Now I'll give them the free love. I don't care.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I just have this weird thing about peeling labels off
- 2:51Speaker 1: my bottles.
- 2:52Speaker 2: And you have Yeah, do you think like, first of all,
- 2:56Speaker 2: you don't you don't need to lose weight. Why are
- 2:57Speaker 2: you drinking the aspartam, Like.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Why does that pertained the cancer stuff?
- 3:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's in there.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Well that's maybe that's why I drink it. I'm on
- 3:05Speaker 1: my way out the door, bab.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I would understand if you were like a fat guy
- 3:07Speaker 2: or you just prefer diet soda.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Bro, why do people wait until they're fat to start
- 3:12Speaker 1: drinking the diet soda? Maybe this was keeping me from
- 3:15Speaker 1: getting fat? You thought of that bootleg kif.
- 3:17Speaker 2: That's a good idea. Don't wait until you get fat
- 3:19Speaker 2: to start eating and drinking the right ship. Like, like,
- 3:22Speaker 2: to be fair, drinking the right ship is not diet soda,
- 3:24Speaker 2: but drink soda.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Nah, I'm diabetic, so I just I'll go with the
- 3:30Speaker 1: diet drinks.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Well that makes sense.
- 3:31Speaker 1: And people would like to to be like, you know
- 3:34Speaker 1: those have more sugar than the regular ones.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Well they have more sugar, they just have terrible ship. Yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 2: but because I drink diet coke every day, really and
- 3:42Speaker 2: this ship like this is an energy drink with no sugar, bro.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I don't remember if it was one of those, or
- 3:47Speaker 1: maybe it was like that C four one. I don't
- 3:49Speaker 1: like energy drinks.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Four, have you itching?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, that Sea four had me.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Like dog seafour, have you tweak and you'll be.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Like I was like Smoky in the chicken coop.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Like, bro, if you drink a seafour, like Ma Hoomie
- 4:02Speaker 2: Sam will drink a Sea four and just sit down
- 4:04Speaker 2: at this computer, and I'm like, bro, I feel like
- 4:07Speaker 2: you're supposed to drink that before you work out.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure, you need to do something where you're
- 4:11Speaker 1: gonna be better.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Fuck that. They sell those like they're a normal energy
- 4:15Speaker 2: drink because they got this. They have the ingredient in
- 4:17Speaker 2: them that like make you itch the pre workout ingredients.
- 4:20Speaker 2: It's like you'll have one and you'll be like, oh shit,
- 4:23Speaker 2: fucking starburst, a.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Starburst that's what. That's what enticed me, that red starburst
- 4:29Speaker 1: K And then they don't have sugar.
- 4:30Speaker 2: And then I feel like a crackhead. Yeah, the ghost
- 4:32Speaker 2: is good. The ghost is just normal caffeine. It's not
- 4:35Speaker 2: like you ain't gonna be fucking tweaked out.
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'm also very anti energy drink, Like, forget the energy bro.
- 4:41Speaker 1: If I'm ready to crash out, I just crash out.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I don't care about the priorities, I don't care what's
- 4:46Speaker 1: going on. I'm all wheel power. And if I'm out
- 4:48Speaker 1: of willpower, then I'm out of wheel power.
- 4:49Speaker 2: You could tell I have an energy drink and a coffee,
- 4:52Speaker 2: so my caffeine consumption is getting out of hand.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Fucking heart, It's just about a pop right now.
- 4:59Speaker 2: For sure, it's a problem, it's definitely a problem. But
- 5:02Speaker 2: now we're talking about guys going to say it like,
- 5:04Speaker 2: I feel like another version of the hip hop comparison
- 5:07Speaker 2: would be like guys who get like funny online, like
- 5:11Speaker 2: I guess ge guys, right, but you were saying that
- 5:15Speaker 2: you're like you love Drewsky. Drewsky's fucking hilarious. He's fucking
- 5:18Speaker 2: doing arenas and you know, doing his own version of
- 5:22Speaker 2: whatever comed is.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I used to hate on like a lot of the
- 5:25Speaker 1: really funny like TikTok and Instagram guys. But I think
- 5:31Speaker 1: that I was just hating on them because when I
- 5:33Speaker 1: when I was hating on him, I was a very
- 5:35Speaker 1: unsuccessful up and coming comic. I was just going to
- 5:38Speaker 1: open mics every night and these guys hanging yeah, and
- 5:42Speaker 1: I'm like, write a joke, right, But even when I
- 5:46Speaker 1: was hating on him, like, I couldn't help but laugh
- 5:48Speaker 1: at them either. Everybody spends time on their phone and
- 5:51Speaker 1: funny's funny, Like I don't know, I can't help it,
- 5:54Speaker 1: Drew Ski, Juicky's on them on a whole other level
- 5:56Speaker 1: to me, Like his kids are fucking hilarious.
- 5:58Speaker 2: They're so like wealth. Did you see the one he
- 6:00Speaker 2: just did with the row Tie Willie where they were like, uh,
- 6:04Speaker 2: people from the South don't don't know when they're being
- 6:06Speaker 2: overly offensive. Some of the scenarios he just sets up
- 6:10Speaker 2: are just like yep, like it's it's the acting that
- 6:14Speaker 2: goes to the shoft to Drew Ski shouts, uh, I
- 6:17Speaker 2: just I got to show love my guy Concrete is
- 6:19Speaker 2: fucking hilarious.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I just talked to that dude.
- 6:22Speaker 2: He's so funny. And I saw him. I saw him
- 6:25Speaker 2: at Haha Comedy Club like recently, because I never saw
- 6:30Speaker 2: like I know him, like he's been on my show before,
- 6:32Speaker 2: but just off his skits and ship, you know. And
- 6:34Speaker 2: I saw him do stand up because I've been seeing
- 6:36Speaker 2: him do stand up. And I went and saw a
- 6:39Speaker 2: comedy show, uh, and he was on it and.
- 6:43Speaker 1: He was fun Jerry Garcia a lot, bro.
- 6:46Speaker 2: He was so funny, Like his stand up had me dying.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I was like, what the fuck? I didn't know you
- 6:54Speaker 2: were funny like this, Like you know, I knew you
- 6:55Speaker 2: were about your skits and ship, but.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Never go to New York.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I've gone to New York.
- 7:00Speaker 1: You watched like a lot of shows out there.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I haven't been to a comedy show in New York, man,
- 7:04Speaker 2: But you got to hit a comedy show in New York,
- 7:05Speaker 2: like the seller in all those places, seller or even
- 7:08Speaker 2: just like if you get any word on like just
- 7:14Speaker 2: random like like Matn forgot his name.
- 7:16Speaker 1: They run a.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Barbershop show, comedy show.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Yeah, they just do it out of this little barbershop.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That sounds fire.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Yeah, like some.
- 7:23Speaker 2: New York ship. Yeah, do it at the bodega.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I feel like another comedy hip hop comparison. You know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: a lot of New York hip hop was just heavy
- 7:34Speaker 1: on like what the lyrics were the bars? And Man,
- 7:38Speaker 1: New York, the comedy scene in New York will make
- 7:42Speaker 1: you into a better writer, Like you have to get
- 7:44Speaker 1: more creative, you have to, like I don't know, just
- 7:48Speaker 1: like just like how in New York hip hop it's
- 7:50Speaker 1: just like bar after bar, Like the rhymes are quicker
- 7:53Speaker 1: out there, like the jokes are quicker, like.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And you got to kind of have to be because
- 7:56Speaker 2: like you're almost like the way of living there is
- 8:00Speaker 2: so like you have to just be on top of
- 8:02Speaker 2: it in life because because you're around people all the time,
- 8:05Speaker 2: you're on the subway, like you know what I'm saying,
- 8:07Speaker 2: Like you got to be quick on your toes to
- 8:09Speaker 2: go to the store out there, you know what I'm saying.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Survival mode. For sure, I thought, like I thought it
- 8:15Speaker 1: was kind of bad out here, but I'm afraid to
- 8:19Speaker 1: get like assaulted in New York. I don't think anybody
- 8:22Speaker 1: would help.
- 8:23Speaker 2: No, No, they walk right by here. Yeah, I know
- 8:25Speaker 2: for sure.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I was in the subway like like New York Times Square,
- 8:29Speaker 1: so it's just like packed, like there's hundreds of people
- 8:31Speaker 1: walking around, and there was a man laying face down
- 8:34Speaker 1: on the floor. I don't know if he was dead
- 8:36Speaker 1: or asleep. Everybody just kept going by here. Nobody asked nothing,
- 8:41Speaker 1: bro Like, everybody just kept walking.
- 8:43Speaker 2: So that is the one thing about New York is
- 8:44Speaker 2: everyone minds their fucking business. Like if you were to
- 8:47Speaker 2: get in, if you were to literally get stabbed, people
- 8:52Speaker 2: would just walk by. They would they'd be like, well,
- 8:54Speaker 2: I got to get to work.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I think they were like a video, wasn't there if
- 8:57Speaker 1: some lady getting choked and everybody's just like, no happening.
- 9:00Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. It's like New York is great.
- 9:02Speaker 2: I love it here, but I would never live in
- 9:03Speaker 2: New York. And then it's obviously like the opposite of
- 9:05Speaker 2: being in Texas.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Texas, everybody's looking for a reason to get involved.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You know, everyone wants a reason that used their right. Hey,
- 9:13Speaker 2: god they God damn, I got my fucking thing on me.
- 9:16Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Man, I was I was driving. It's like a couple
- 9:21Speaker 1: of years back. I was driving and I felt like
- 9:24Speaker 1: this dude was just trying to kind of like race
- 9:26Speaker 1: with me or something. So we're just, you know, just
- 9:28Speaker 1: speeding on the highway. Meaning this dude he passed me up,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and then I passed him up, and I thought it
- 9:32Speaker 1: was kind of fun. And then this dude pulls up
- 9:35Speaker 1: next to me and he pulls out a gun, and
- 9:37Speaker 1: I guess he's just been trying to stay ahead the
- 9:39Speaker 1: whole time. Maybe he thought I was cutting them all.
- 9:41Speaker 1: He thought, Yeah, I'm like, hey, whatever, fun And this
- 9:43Speaker 1: dudes like, fuck you bitch, can shoot you. Yeah, like
- 9:46Speaker 1: almost slow white.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Nah, I wasn't white.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Everybody, Texas, don't discriminate everybody's.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Everybody's t mad, Yeah, pissed. Shout out to Texas. You're
- 9:58Speaker 2: like a pretty big car guy, right, Like didn't you
- 10:00Speaker 2: grew up like kind of like around a body shop
- 10:01Speaker 2: and shit, and like, yeah, that would have been your
- 10:03Speaker 2: first if comedy didn't work out, you'd been fixing cars.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah. My dad had a body shop in an Oak Cliff,
- 10:11Speaker 1: which is a neighborhood in Dallas.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Shout out to oak Cliff. That's where you other Beezy's from.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Right Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, so very very serious area.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Oh Cliff was a pretty serious area.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, my dad had a body shop there. And
- 10:25Speaker 1: so when I was like thirteen fourteen, maybe even like
- 10:29Speaker 1: younger in the summers or just like every now and then,
- 10:32Speaker 1: my dad would take me to work there or I
- 10:35Speaker 1: just get dropped off there.
- 10:36Speaker 2: And like, hey, this is where you're at for today.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just sitting there like with paint fumes and
- 10:42Speaker 1: there was no like paint booths, so everything was just.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Like then whoever's workings, Like, I guess we're babysitting the
- 10:46Speaker 2: bosses kids today.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeahretty and it was just like my family, a couple
- 10:50Speaker 1: other dudes with no papers, just watching everybody drink. We
- 10:53Speaker 1: had a basketball hooping there, which is pretty cool. Fire
- 10:56Speaker 1: So it's just standing a lot of cars. Down the
- 10:58Speaker 1: street was the barbershop where I were that also, so
- 11:01Speaker 1: it's like my two little gigs there, like standing cars
- 11:05Speaker 1: or cutting hair. No Cliff and no Cliff, which is
- 11:08Speaker 1: why a lot of people think I'm from there. But
- 11:10Speaker 1: I wouldn't technically say I am. I say I got
- 11:12Speaker 1: like some.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're like your crib wasn't there?
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, no, I was on the other side of
- 11:20Speaker 1: the city tracks. Yeah, I was out there in.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Mesquite, which which is a nice area.
- 11:25Speaker 1: It's it's nice to people who live in o Cliff
- 11:29Speaker 1: or like Pleasant Grove, like in ghetto areas. But then
- 11:31Speaker 1: when you talk to like people who live in like
- 11:34Speaker 1: it's weird because if I talk to like black and
- 11:35Speaker 1: Hispanic people and they're here from the Ski, they'd be like, oh,
- 11:38Speaker 1: hell yeah, you know, from a nice place. And then
- 11:41Speaker 1: you tell white people from the Ski and they're just
- 11:42Speaker 1: like yea. So it's like there's no winning bro right
- 11:46Speaker 1: in the middle.
- 11:46Speaker 2: How do you feel about everybody just like moving to Texas.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I I mean, I don't care.
- 11:51Speaker 2: It's fucking hell of fools. I think Texas had the
- 11:54Speaker 2: most like new residents last year, Like were people like
- 11:59Speaker 2: just new people move there.
- 12:01Speaker 1: I don't really, I don't really care about it, just
- 12:03Speaker 1: because I mean, it happens to big popping.
- 12:08Speaker 2: City, it happens to the best places.
- 12:10Speaker 1: But I moved out to like the country in Texas.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say where exactly because people will be
- 12:16Speaker 1: like asking me and stuff. But I'm like out in
- 12:20Speaker 1: the middle of nowhere, tiny tiny little town and people
- 12:25Speaker 1: are starting to move there, and I am kind of like, ah,
- 12:29Speaker 1: the fun there goes the neighborhood.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It was the neighborhood. A fucking dickhead from California's here.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Not even that like people from the city, like people
- 12:36Speaker 1: from in Dallas. I'm like, bro, stay in the city,
- 12:38Speaker 1: like this is my thing.
- 12:39Speaker 2: When you say, like the country, like what is it, like,
- 12:41Speaker 2: like you got like acres or shit?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Like what like we got a couple of acres?
- 12:45Speaker 2: Nice? Yeah, any animals.
- 12:47Speaker 1: My neighbor has horses.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Do you get to ride the horses? Nah?
- 12:50Speaker 1: I don't like those horses. Man. One of them escaped
- 12:52Speaker 1: and then he came on to like our land, and
- 12:55Speaker 1: it was kind of scary because.
- 12:56Speaker 2: To put that horse down if he trespasses it is
- 12:58Speaker 2: Texas staying ground.
- 12:59Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm able to, but why would you.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I don't want to do it, Like.
- 13:03Speaker 2: You have a fucking Yellowstone War happening in the middle
- 13:07Speaker 2: of fucking Dallas with your name.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'm like afraid of horses, bro, I want to. I
- 13:11Speaker 1: want to like conquer my fear and ride one. When
- 13:13Speaker 1: I was a kid, my uncle had one and my
- 13:15Speaker 1: uncle swore to god it was like a good horse.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And I was like, can I ride it? And he
- 13:20Speaker 1: was like, yeah, come touch it. And I got like
- 13:22Speaker 1: close to it and it started doing that.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Like oh, you know that's crazy, and I was just like, fuck,
- 13:26Speaker 3: I wrote a horse recently for the first time, and
- 13:30Speaker 3: uh it was me and my wife watched Yellowstone and
- 13:33Speaker 3: for her birthday she was like, I'm gonna go ride
- 13:35Speaker 3: a horse.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I was like, bet so I play in a little trip.
- 13:38Speaker 2: We went and rode horses and palm springs. Then motherfuckers
- 13:41Speaker 2: is motherfuckers?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Bro?
- 13:42Speaker 2: Like that's like if you're supposed to be like fully
- 13:45Speaker 2: in control, like it's a car but it's not a car.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You're like on this fucking giant mammal that has its
- 13:53Speaker 2: own free will. I guess bro.
- 13:54Speaker 1: When I was in New York though, and I went
- 13:56Speaker 1: to like Central Park and they do the horse rides,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I felt bad for those horses because they were like
- 14:01Speaker 1: really calm and like, no they're broken yeah, And I'm like, bro,
- 14:06Speaker 1: where do you go at?
- 14:07Speaker 2: Like when you're not here night, where you at?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah? Where is you?
- 14:10Speaker 2: You're in New York City there, so like where's the farm?
- 14:13Speaker 1: There is no place for a horse other than this park, Like, yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: where the fuck did you go?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Dude? It's crazy because like when they say yeah, I
- 14:20Speaker 2: got my horse broken in, it literally means you broke
- 14:23Speaker 2: the horse's spirit. Yeah, like you made that like you
- 14:27Speaker 2: you you spiritually like psychologically tortured the horse to the
- 14:31Speaker 2: point where it'll just do whatever you wanted to do.
- 14:33Speaker 2: That I feel bad for.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Shout out to New York horses, man, get your life together, all.
- 14:37Speaker 2: The horses men. Shout to the horse. Hey, fucking Texas
- 14:40Speaker 2: got all the big ranches though, you know, but cowboys.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Here's something that I realized too from moving out to
- 14:44Speaker 1: the country is like you see all these nice, beautiful
- 14:47Speaker 1: horses like on TV or like you see pictures of them,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and a lot of people in the country have horses,
- 14:54Speaker 1: but a lot of people in the country aren't wealthy, right,
- 14:57Speaker 1: so these horses look like ghetto horse.
- 14:59Speaker 2: Me.
- 15:00Speaker 1: These horses are little crackheads, like just sucking beat down. Yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 1: they're not all muscular and majestic. They're just like, bro,
- 15:06Speaker 1: when is our owner gonna It's like when you.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Look on TV and there's like the beautiful Golden Retriever
- 15:11Speaker 2: rappers got a fucking Frenchy and then you go to
- 15:13Speaker 2: like your aunt's house and she got a fucking a
- 15:15Speaker 2: half Chihuahuai. She had a pug half pug, fucking just
- 15:19Speaker 2: street rat and you're like, Jesus Christ put.
- 15:22Speaker 1: The little chain on it.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god. Yeah, it's crazy. Like did you
- 15:26Speaker 2: grow up going to like any of the like rodeos
- 15:28Speaker 2: and ship like or was that a thing.
- 15:29Speaker 1: When when I was really really small, Yeah, me and
- 15:32Speaker 1: my grandpa would go. He dressed me up like a
- 15:34Speaker 1: cowboy and stuff, and we'd go watch the horses or
- 15:37Speaker 1: like the bullfights and all just pretty fun. But then
- 15:41Speaker 1: then I kind of feel bad. As I got older,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I started thinking about it, they were like electrocute the bulls.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Sometimes somebody somebody got electrocute something.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You know, you got it makes stun guns for a reason.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Yeah, comedy movement.
- 15:54Speaker 1: It's cool there, man, there's lots of pretty girls at
- 15:57Speaker 1: the Hoti feels Yo.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Talk to me like, because i'd heard kind of like
- 16:00Speaker 2: you talk a little bit about your pops on other podcasts.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Like he was an entrepreneur. Is it tafe to say? Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 2: so he had multiple businesses.
- 16:09Speaker 1: My dad back in the day was involved in some
- 16:12Speaker 1: less than legal activities, right, But I Meandy, it is
- 16:16Speaker 1: where he's from. Like, if you want to get out
- 16:20Speaker 1: of where you're from, I guess for sure my dad
- 16:23Speaker 1: was involved in some less than leego activities.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Is he from Texas?
- 16:26Speaker 1: Originally he's from Texas. Yeah, he got out of it,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and then years after he got out of that, he
- 16:33Speaker 1: still got caught up. You know what I mean. He
- 16:36Speaker 1: did did his time, so had to go sit down. Yeah,
- 16:39Speaker 1: he has to go through some time for like drug
- 16:41Speaker 1: stuff or yeah, drug stuff was it?
- 16:44Speaker 2: Because this is the thing. It's crazy being in CALLI
- 16:47Speaker 2: and seeing people go to prison for weed. I know,
- 16:50Speaker 2: it's a thing. I know there's a lot of people
- 16:51Speaker 2: sitting down for marijuana right now. But man, whenever we
- 16:54Speaker 2: go to like we went to Texas bro and like
- 16:57Speaker 2: OT was like, Uh, you're good in Houston, Like they're
- 17:01Speaker 2: not tripping in Houston. But the outskirts of these big
- 17:06Speaker 2: cities is where the cops will get you fucked up
- 17:09Speaker 2: just for smoking.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I think it always just depends on the cop you
- 17:12Speaker 1: happen to written into it.
- 17:13Speaker 2: But what I'm saying like, depending on the area you
- 17:14Speaker 2: grew up, like motherfuckers is like really doing real prison
- 17:18Speaker 2: time for marijuana and other drugs.
- 17:21Speaker 1: That sucks too, man, because it's like how people say
- 17:24Speaker 1: you were, I mean, as as as anti drug as
- 17:30Speaker 1: you are, whoever you are. It's understandable to be anti
- 17:34Speaker 1: drug on most drugs, especially if you see somebody who's.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Like heavy on mad tweaked out.
- 17:41Speaker 1: But when have you ever seen a pothead that bad,
- 17:44Speaker 1: like somebody who only smokes weed, you know what I'm saying.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Someone whose life depends on it, like someone who's like
- 17:50Speaker 2: more like like selling their fucking This is what I
- 17:52Speaker 2: say because I always say I would like to try
- 17:55Speaker 2: crack before I die. And the reason why I'd like
- 17:57Speaker 2: to try crack.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Before the dream. I was on crack last night. Sorry,
- 18:00Speaker 1: go ahead, crazy your dream.
- 18:03Speaker 2: But I always would like, man, any drug that'll make
- 18:05Speaker 2: a straight man suck dick to get more of it,
- 18:07Speaker 2: you got to give it a shot one day. I'm
- 18:09Speaker 2: not saying I don't want to do it anytime soon.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Do it when there's no dicks within your radius.
- 18:13Speaker 2: But we know what it's like with Bob Saget God
- 18:16Speaker 2: rest is soul said and half baked. No, have you
- 18:19Speaker 2: ever seen somebody ever suck some dick for some weed? No?
- 18:23Speaker 1: I feel like if you're not wanting to suck dick
- 18:25Speaker 1: for the drug, should not be even a felony.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Like yeah, if you're not willing to suck dick and
- 18:31Speaker 2: cross the you know your sexual orientation boundary for that
- 18:35Speaker 2: for to get more of the drug, I think it
- 18:37Speaker 2: should be legal. I don't know if people are. People
- 18:38Speaker 2: aren't sucking dick for shrooms?
- 18:40Speaker 1: No, No, And if you are, I mean that's my choice.
- 18:44Speaker 2: That's like a that's just like a straight up YOURDC.
- 18:48Speaker 2: You're probably in a fucking rave like like, oh you
- 18:51Speaker 2: got shrooms, I got some head for.
- 18:52Speaker 1: You, like that that juicy j bar where he's talking
- 18:55Speaker 1: about man, how does it go somebody he's fucking with
- 18:59Speaker 1: college chicks and then it's like they sucking dick for homework.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Shout out to JUICJ. Man. His fucking his wee trippy
- 19:06Speaker 2: main era mixtapes were fucking classic.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'm still those are like when I'm fucked
- 19:10Speaker 1: up and I'm.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Was a green carpet, Green carpet and then uh, what
- 19:16Speaker 2: was the the I'm getting high as fuck?
- 19:20Speaker 1: I'm getting I'm getting high as fuck and a double
- 19:23Speaker 1: cup I like that?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Was that Wiskelefa?
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:26Speaker 2: I think so in Two Chains to Change was on it?
- 19:29Speaker 1: I like that, Uh my Manchin sitting on forty acres
- 19:32Speaker 1: who the neighbors? Kobe Bryant from the Lakers paper.
- 19:37Speaker 2: That was an era. That was a nice that probably
- 19:39Speaker 2: was hitting his Texas too.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Yeah. Did Juice J has always been hitten.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I feel like that era because he was off that lean.
- 19:46Speaker 2: I mean he always obviously sit with some scissor was always,
- 19:48Speaker 2: but I feel like he had the double cup ship
- 19:50Speaker 2: popping and that was like twenty twelve, twenty thirty.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Mafia in general. Uh, what's that one song Juice Got Weed?
- 19:58Speaker 2: Juice Got Juice Got not for sure, three six for sure?
- 20:03Speaker 2: Did you ever get just like, did you ever try lean?
- 20:06Speaker 1: I've tried it, but I tried like very little of it.
- 20:10Speaker 1: They gave me, like, so I don't even know if
- 20:12Speaker 1: I got the full effect of it.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Never tried it. Man, I've had people try to pass me.
- 20:15Speaker 2: There a couple just take a sip. I'm like, a Nope,
- 20:18Speaker 2: I will not get addicted into golf syrup. Nah.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I can see how it's addicted, for for sure. But
- 20:23Speaker 1: I didn't like how I got drug addicts throughout my family,
- 20:27Speaker 1: So I'm always very I'm only I've never even taken
- 20:30Speaker 1: a pain bill. Nah. Oh, dude, you gotta try.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I just I've only smoked weed. I've done mushrooms. I
- 20:36Speaker 2: want to do some other ship like d MT and ship, but.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Then t shit kind of scares me.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It's it's very intimidating, which why I haven't done yet.
- 20:43Speaker 1: I'm everybody says that, like you see some stuff that
- 20:49Speaker 1: will help you get closure, Like this guy. My cousin
- 20:52Speaker 1: was telling me about this guy who like his wife
- 20:54Speaker 1: passed and I guess for like a year two years,
- 20:58Speaker 1: he didn't go out, he didn't date. He was just
- 21:00Speaker 1: really like depressed and stuff. And when he did that
- 21:02Speaker 1: that he saw his wife and that she was basically
- 21:04Speaker 1: telling him like it's okay, you know, or like like
- 21:07Speaker 1: my buddy, you know. Uh. I guess saw like stuff
- 21:11Speaker 1: about his father who has passed. And I don't know
- 21:14Speaker 1: if these are actual spirits coming to talk to you
- 21:17Speaker 1: or do you just see what you want to see
- 21:19Speaker 1: or hear what you want.
- 21:20Speaker 2: It's like that in the ayahuasca thing, I'm like extremely
- 21:23Speaker 2: scared to do. I'm gonna do it, but I just
- 21:24Speaker 2: am very like, I don't know what I'm gonna see, bro,
- 21:26Speaker 2: which was the ayahuasca is the ship where you like
- 21:29Speaker 2: you have a shaman and then it lasts like four
- 21:31Speaker 2: or six hours or something. It's like you drink it
- 21:34Speaker 2: like in the tea. It's like the ship.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Like I could never do that.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I hate tea. Yeah, well how do you hate tea?
- 21:39Speaker 1: I don't like tea.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Love Doctor Pepper, but not Yeah.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I like snapples, but that's not really tea.
- 21:43Speaker 2: It's t ish. You don't drink like like a green tea.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Really, the only time I'll drink tea is if I'm
- 21:49Speaker 1: like really sick. It has to be like a hot tea, yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 1: or like a lot of lemon and honey. Sure, so
- 21:54Speaker 1: it doesn't taste like tea anymore.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Oh, you don't like to taste I don't. I don't
- 21:58Speaker 2: like to taste the tea. Man, Yeah, I can I
- 22:00Speaker 2: get it. He's not you know, you are you like
- 22:02Speaker 2: coffee sometimes? Yeah, but you're you're kind of like, uh,
- 22:06Speaker 2: you know, outside of sod your weakness. Would you say?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so it is probably my weakness.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Mine too, man, mind too. Coca cola.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Coca cola is good.
- 22:14Speaker 2: It's the best.
- 22:15Speaker 1: What I'm saying, I don't. I don't like stuff like
- 22:18Speaker 1: I don't like drinking coffee, like energy drinks a lot.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I like that Cuban coffee though.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Like that little little little shot. Yes, so that it
- 22:27Speaker 2: was like addictive, not just addictive. And it's great because
- 22:30Speaker 2: you just you don't feel like you're it's just shot
- 22:32Speaker 2: and then you're just like like we're ready. Man.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I had like a few of those back to back,
- 22:36Speaker 1: went to Florida. I was just like fuck yeah, too much,
- 22:40Speaker 1: too much?
- 22:41Speaker 2: Nah, I think the best ship if I ever, if
- 22:43Speaker 2: I could drink anything or eat anything without any sort
- 22:46Speaker 2: of negative consequences dietarily, it would be a Mexican coke.
- 22:49Speaker 2: If I could just have, if I could just have
- 22:51Speaker 2: like the big bottle of Mexican coke unlimited, and it
- 22:54Speaker 2: wouldn't affect my health in any negative way. It either
- 22:58Speaker 2: be that or pizza.
- 22:59Speaker 1: You ever try Mexican food up north in the Bay
- 23:03Speaker 1: Very no, no, no, Like, well, I'm sure the Bay
- 23:06Speaker 1: has good Mexican food the Midwest, though, man, no, no, no, no, no,
- 23:09Speaker 1: no, no no.
- 23:10Speaker 2: I lived in Florida, and because you know I'm from
- 23:12Speaker 2: the West Coast, I'm from Phoenix, so we got amazing
- 23:15Speaker 2: Mexican food. Bro.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Phoenix is so easy to find good Mexican food. Yes,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I like Phoenix.
- 23:21Speaker 2: You can fall into good Mexican food there. But yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 2: when I lived in Florida, it was a joke.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I got food poisoning from Mexican food in Minnesota.
- 23:30Speaker 2: See, I wouldn't even have tried it. I was like,
- 23:32Speaker 2: we're in Minnesota. What do they got in Minnesota.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Oh, there's just so many Mexicans cheese curds.
- 23:38Speaker 2: There's not so many Mexicans there. There's some.
- 23:41Speaker 1: All the Mexicans in Minnesota were in your show. Now
- 23:45Speaker 1: we left the show and we were looking for just
- 23:48Speaker 1: like anything twenty four.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Hours to eat and there's a Mexican spot.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Well, we always look for a diner first of all,
- 23:53Speaker 1: because nobody ever really goes to a diner so low.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Key, you know what I mean, for sure.
- 23:57Speaker 1: So we find this one diner and it wasn't like
- 24:01Speaker 1: a diner. It was like a gay bar or something.
- 24:03Speaker 1: It just looked like a diner. Or maybe it just
- 24:06Speaker 1: happened to be a lot of gay dudes there that day.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I don't know, but they were serving alcohol a lot
- 24:09Speaker 1: of gay dudes. To me, that makes it a gay bar. Also,
- 24:14Speaker 1: I was still gonna eat there, but I couldn't get
- 24:16Speaker 1: a menu or service or anything.
- 24:17Speaker 2: They were like this full straight fuck yeah yeah.
- 24:20Speaker 1: So I felt so lame. So I was like, man,
- 24:22Speaker 1: let me just find another place real quick. And the
- 24:26Speaker 1: first place that came up was this Mexican restaurant down
- 24:29Speaker 1: the street. So we went and it was like they're
- 24:33Speaker 1: doing like karaoke. It was like more of a party
- 24:35Speaker 1: bar type vibe. But they they had after hours naha.
- 24:39Speaker 1: They just stay open till like two at that so
- 24:42Speaker 1: it's already like one or one thirty. And when we
- 24:45Speaker 1: sat down, the server was like, oh, we're gonna the
- 24:48Speaker 1: kitchen is gonna close like in ten minutes.
- 24:50Speaker 2: You get your ordering.
- 24:51Speaker 1: So they had like these big family platter type like okay,
- 24:55Speaker 1: tony tacos or like this thing. So we're like, man
- 24:57Speaker 1: to bring us like these three items, like you know,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and I think they just cooked it in a rush
- 25:02Speaker 1: since they wanted to close already. And man, we're gonna leave.
- 25:06Speaker 1: We're supposed to. We were supposed to leave to the
- 25:08Speaker 1: airport like at four am. And when I got up,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I just knew that I wasn't gonna be able to
- 25:12Speaker 1: take another step without throwing up.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Bro.
- 25:14Speaker 1: But I had to stay in that hotel room like
- 25:16Speaker 1: another twenty four hours.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Dude. I recently, me and this food were going to
- 25:20Speaker 2: Vegas for the iHeart Festival in September and I was
- 25:23Speaker 2: going out there. Why were you? Why were you coming
- 25:25Speaker 2: with me? We're shooting interviews? Yeah, okay. So I had
- 25:31Speaker 2: eight in La there stores called Aldi, which is like
- 25:36Speaker 2: the healthy foods. Nah. It's like you go there and
- 25:39Speaker 2: you get discounted shit. It's almost like a discount grocery store,
- 25:42Speaker 2: right oho. So my wife got lunched me from there,
- 25:45Speaker 2: and right before I left, I ate a sandwich and
- 25:48Speaker 2: uh man, I was I've never been so sick in
- 25:53Speaker 2: my life. And it was food poisoning. And when I
- 25:55Speaker 2: tell you, dog like I was puking, shitting, I mean, Bro,
- 26:00Speaker 2: I was like in fetal position in the front seat
- 26:03Speaker 2: of the car. Yeah, just like Bro. And then we
- 26:05Speaker 2: get to the hotel in Vegas. Bro, I was just
- 26:08Speaker 2: in the bathroom. I put the pillow next to the toilet.
- 26:11Speaker 1: That's how it was.
- 26:12Speaker 2: I put the I put a blanket down on the floor,
- 26:15Speaker 2: and I put the trash can right there too. I
- 26:17Speaker 2: had the shower running for a lot of it. I
- 26:19Speaker 2: was like, man, I need to heat the ship up,
- 26:21Speaker 2: and I had the shower. I was just like dog,
- 26:24Speaker 2: bro is the worst.
- 26:25Speaker 1: And then I'm like a baby too, like I'm ready
- 26:27Speaker 1: to as soon as I even get like a cold,
- 26:29Speaker 1: I'm ready to. I'm out.
- 26:30Speaker 2: That food poison is this in and out though, it
- 26:31Speaker 2: was like it's like a day and a half and
- 26:33Speaker 2: then I was like it's gone.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Yeah, but then your stomach still kind of sensitive for sure.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're you lost a little weight though. At
- 26:41Speaker 2: the end of that food poison and ship you want
- 26:43Speaker 2: to lose like you want to lose five pounds just
- 26:46Speaker 2: lunch me.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I've been trying to gain weight. I've been trying to
- 26:48Speaker 1: gain weight for years.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Drink, drink the regular doctor pepper.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I'll die. No.
- 26:53Speaker 2: We had a Denny's in my hometown that was called
- 26:55Speaker 2: Jenny's in Phoenix.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Wait, wait, you had a Denny's.
- 26:58Speaker 2: We called it Jenny's because it was the gay Denny's
- 27:01Speaker 2: Seventh Street and Camelback in Phoenix, and it was like
- 27:05Speaker 2: you would go there and it would be like a
- 27:09Speaker 2: gay bar, bro, Like, because all the gay clubs are
- 27:12Speaker 2: right there, so like everybody leave the gay club and
- 27:15Speaker 2: go to Jenny's. So you'd get like it was right
- 27:17Speaker 2: by the radio station I was on out there, so
- 27:18Speaker 2: we would leave, go go eat. This shit would be
- 27:20Speaker 2: fucking turned up in there. Bro.
- 27:23Speaker 1: That sounds like the type of place a gay dude
- 27:24Speaker 1: would go to, like if he's been striking out all night.
- 27:28Speaker 2: But you know what, Let's go to Danny's and see
- 27:29Speaker 2: what's that Jenny's. Let's go to the gay Danny's and
- 27:31Speaker 2: see if we can fucking pull something. You never know, Right,
- 27:34Speaker 2: Let's go get a grand slam, Let's go have a
- 27:36Speaker 2: couple of cokes and see what's hanging out.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Well, one thing I've learned from one night stands is
- 27:44Speaker 1: if the girl or whoever your respective partner of the
- 27:49Speaker 1: night is if the first one you were hanging out
- 27:52Speaker 1: with throughout the night, like it just doesn't work out
- 27:55Speaker 1: and it's like two three in the morning, don't try to.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Pick up another.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Don't just go to sleep, go to sleep, because whoever
- 28:01Speaker 1: you're going to try to pick up is beyond drunk
- 28:03Speaker 1: at that point.
- 28:05Speaker 2: And to be fair, it's like your options at that
- 28:07Speaker 2: point get worse, yeah, and worse. And if you if
- 28:12Speaker 2: you try to do that from a desperate place, well
- 28:15Speaker 2: you're gonna wake up like what the fuck did I
- 28:18Speaker 2: just do?
- 28:19Speaker 1: If you're if you're way too drunk and I see
- 28:20Speaker 1: a sign off you're way too drunk, I'm out of
- 28:22Speaker 1: there for sure, no remorse.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Well you're your too famous, like you can't be like
- 28:27Speaker 2: even before though, no, no for sure, but I'm saying,
- 28:29Speaker 2: but like you can't even risk it, like like if
- 28:32Speaker 2: a girl like I feel like if a girl is
- 28:33Speaker 2: even just like hey, like, hey go home.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I was at I was at a club once
- 28:39Speaker 1: and this girls like my friends are here, Like we
- 28:42Speaker 1: were hanging out throughout the night with her and shoot,
- 28:44Speaker 1: I could tell she was drinking kind of heavy. So
- 28:46Speaker 1: I was already like on edge, and she was like,
- 28:48Speaker 1: my friends are here, they're coming in from the entrance.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Let's go get them.
- 28:51Speaker 1: And so as we're walking to the other side of
- 28:53Speaker 1: the club, she's like stumbling and at one point she
- 28:56Speaker 1: just straight up falls and had. I had just met
- 28:58Speaker 1: her that night at the club, and the security guy
- 29:01Speaker 1: was like, hey, bro, you can't have your girl. Your
- 29:04Speaker 1: woman like doing like this, man, you might have to leave.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I was, I don't know her, I walked off.
- 29:11Speaker 2: You just left. You're like, shit, that's all I Hey,
- 29:14Speaker 2: dog me, bro, I don't.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I don't like hanging out with people who get crazy
- 29:17Speaker 1: drunk like that, but when I'm when I'm blackout drunk,
- 29:20Speaker 1: I do want somebody to help me out.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Do you get blackout drunk often?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Nah, I've gotten black out drunk maybe like four times
- 29:26Speaker 1: my whole life.
- 29:27Speaker 2: Your whole life. That's impressive. Consider you consider blackout drunk
- 29:32Speaker 2: like you don't remember, or drinking to puking both.
- 29:35Speaker 1: So if I'm drinking to the point where I don't remember,
- 29:37Speaker 1: I'm probably gonna puke at some point in that night.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Because I'll get to the point where I'm drinking and
- 29:42Speaker 2: I'm like, fuck, I'm fucked up and I didn't eat
- 29:45Speaker 2: ship today. I just need to go get this shit
- 29:47Speaker 2: out of me, and I'll just go puke.
- 29:49Speaker 1: Nah, I won't puke unless I'm like at the point
- 29:51Speaker 1: where I'm not gonna remember stuff.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I got to get this shit out of me before
- 29:53Speaker 2: I fucking like in the front seat of my boy's
- 29:56Speaker 2: car and then I puke in his fucking car. My
- 29:58Speaker 2: father in law threw up in the want to see
- 30:00Speaker 2: to my cyber truck shot out to him. I thought
- 30:03Speaker 2: it was fucked up.
- 30:04Speaker 1: You're married? Yeah, oh shit, Congress Yang Gang.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I ain't been married since twenty eighteen.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Okay, nice, Yeah, I'm.
- 30:11Speaker 2: My wife's Mexican. My kids are both my kids are Mexican.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You don't got to being racing to it.
- 30:15Speaker 2: We're here, man, we're here. No, but but yeah, no
- 30:19Speaker 2: since twenty eighteen, So what is that six years now
- 30:21Speaker 2: to be six years in December?
- 30:23Speaker 1: Any advice?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Um, are you? Are you in a relationship?
- 30:28Speaker 1: No?
- 30:29Speaker 2: No, doo, I get in one now. I would just say, like,
- 30:33Speaker 2: if you get into a relationship with somebody whom which
- 30:36Speaker 2: you can see the potential of I would say this
- 30:41Speaker 2: anybody who you would call like your lady, because you
- 30:44Speaker 2: could have fun and have homies that you fucking like
- 30:46Speaker 2: kind of like situationships if you will. But if you're
- 30:48Speaker 2: gonna like make some shit official, I feel like you
- 30:51Speaker 2: always want to do that with somebody who you feel
- 30:53Speaker 2: like would be like a good mom, you know what
- 30:55Speaker 2: I'm saying. Yeah, so I would always look at it
- 30:57Speaker 2: like a girl through the perspective of like, man, if
- 30:59Speaker 2: I got a kid, this girl.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I like to give people the benefit of the doubt though,
- 31:02Speaker 1: you know, I mean that's fair. I like to I
- 31:05Speaker 1: like to hopefully impregnate somebody who would who I think
- 31:08Speaker 1: would make a horrible mom.
- 31:09Speaker 2: And then make her a better mom. Yeah, like she
- 31:11Speaker 2: would suck. Like, Yo, I've met this girl. She was
- 31:15Speaker 2: doing Xanax, and I'm like those toxic girls.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I'm like, I need a project.
- 31:18Speaker 2: That's a thing for real, Like if you like, like, hey, man,
- 31:22Speaker 2: for sure, for sure.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Fall in love with strippers quite often. Yeah, they don't
- 31:27Speaker 1: want to be saved.
- 31:28Speaker 2: But my wife was a stripper.
- 31:30Speaker 1: No, you just she don't care that. You just said
- 31:32Speaker 1: it like she was a tripper.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I meant I was DJ at the strip club
- 31:37Speaker 2: and she was dancing. Oh yeah, yeah, but I knew
- 31:39Speaker 2: her for like, like she was like she was a
- 31:41Speaker 2: fourth grade school teacher and then she would dance, So
- 31:44Speaker 2: she was like teaching fourth graders and then dancing.
- 31:47Speaker 1: It'd be funny if she like confused her jobs, you
- 31:49Speaker 1: know what I mean, she went to work mode at
- 31:50Speaker 1: the wrong job. But Okay, how how long were you
- 31:55Speaker 1: dating before you and I were friends?
- 31:57Speaker 2: For like, see we started dating in twenty sixteen, we
- 32:01Speaker 2: were probably friends for like two years prior to that,
- 32:05Speaker 2: where I would just be in town DJ and you know,
- 32:10Speaker 2: she was just the homie at the club, Like she
- 32:11Speaker 2: was like the only girl at the club. Wouldn't drink
- 32:13Speaker 2: on the job because she had to get up and
- 32:14Speaker 2: go teach school.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Did she have like a favorite song that she would
- 32:17Speaker 1: dance to sometimes?
- 32:18Speaker 2: Yeah, like fucking uh depended depended for sure. Sure, I'm sure.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Did you ever like did you guys when you were dating?
- 32:25Speaker 1: Did you guys ever have a fight and then you
- 32:27Speaker 1: showed up outside her room with a boombox and then
- 32:29Speaker 1: played that song?
- 32:30Speaker 2: No no, but that definitely showed up to saw her
- 32:32Speaker 2: fucking house, Like, no, we're to talk you ain't going
- 32:36Speaker 2: You ain't getting out of this. But yeah, she's great.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Did you ask her to stop dancing or did she
- 32:41Speaker 1: kind of naturally on her own.
- 32:42Speaker 2: No, it was just kind of like once we moved
- 32:44Speaker 2: to La together, it just kind of like it wasn't
- 32:48Speaker 2: necessary anymore. It wasn't like she was like one she
- 32:51Speaker 2: hated it, you know what I'm saying. But it was
- 32:53Speaker 2: just kind of like a necessary means for her to
- 32:56Speaker 2: support her kid.
- 32:57Speaker 1: You know, I wonder how many dancers don't.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Really most dancers don't like it. Bro. No, it's not
- 33:03Speaker 2: that they don't like it, but it's like you got
- 33:04Speaker 2: to understand like the strip stripper. I mean, listen, I'm
- 33:08Speaker 2: dj at Jaguars and Phoenix for fuck over a decade,
- 33:12Speaker 2: and like strip club culture is like it could be
- 33:16Speaker 2: it could pull you in for real, you know what
- 33:17Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I imagine it has to be fun maybe at
- 33:21Speaker 1: the beginning, right right, and then it must get I.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Think at a certain point in time. It's like it
- 33:25Speaker 2: just depends on what you're doing it for. It if
- 33:26Speaker 2: you're doing it because hey I want to have fun,
- 33:28Speaker 2: get fucked up, make some money, you know, it is
- 33:30Speaker 2: what it is. If it's like, yo, I got a goal.
- 33:32Speaker 2: This is a way for me to get to my goal.
- 33:34Speaker 2: If it's like yo, Because at the end of the day,
- 33:37Speaker 2: like being a stripper is very it's there's a you know,
- 33:42Speaker 2: there's a fucking negative connotation to that line of work, right.
- 33:45Speaker 2: People automatically assume you're this or you're this. Right. So
- 33:47Speaker 2: it's like, then there's strippers who like treat this shit
- 33:50Speaker 2: like a job for real. It's like, you know, it's
- 33:52Speaker 2: at the end of the day, a stripper's job is
- 33:54Speaker 2: to make you feel good enough to give them more money. Right.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I feel like that's my job as well.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Their job is to make you feel like you have
- 34:02Speaker 2: a chance, so you keep spending money and.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Then kind of like crack, you're always going to chase
- 34:06Speaker 1: the dragon, right, and.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Then when when your time with that person's over, you're
- 34:11Speaker 2: looking for your two or three dance or your tour
- 34:13Speaker 2: you know whatever. Okay, I'm out, let me go try
- 34:16Speaker 2: to make some more. You know, you're out of money.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Next thing you know, you're sucking dick for lap dances.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Next next thing, you know, you're sucking dick for lap dances.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Are you a strip club guy?
- 34:24Speaker 1: Nah? I've been a handful of strip clubs, but I
- 34:26Speaker 1: would have sayd I'm like a strip club guy.
- 34:27Speaker 2: I enjoy strip clubs because I just like the and
- 34:33Speaker 2: I own a nightclub in a z that's fucking amazing
- 34:35Speaker 2: eleven eleven, which is lit as fuck. But if I'm
- 34:39Speaker 2: going out, I'm either going to a dive bar, I'm
- 34:42Speaker 2: going to a strip club.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I love dive bars.
- 34:44Speaker 2: Dive bar is my ship because I can actually like
- 34:46Speaker 2: talk to the homies, hear them, you know, random this
- 34:49Speaker 2: people watch, and then the strip club always has the
- 34:52Speaker 2: best food.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I've gone to strip clubs with dudes who like don't
- 34:57Speaker 1: want to throw money. They're like, Nah, you don't need
- 35:00Speaker 1: to be throwing money, it's just about hanging out and drinking.
- 35:02Speaker 1: But I'm like, bro, it's a strip club. Like I
- 35:05Speaker 1: feel rude if I don't throw somebody, they don't even
- 35:07Speaker 1: got to come dance on me.
- 35:08Speaker 2: But likething here, thank you.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Imagine you sit down at a Jenny's and you just
- 35:13Speaker 1: order a coffee and you never order food, and you
- 35:16Speaker 1: don't want to leave.
- 35:17Speaker 2: You're just drinking coffee, and it's like, Okay, you're taking
- 35:19Speaker 2: up real estate at the club.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Like somebody who's gonna tip could be sitting here, you
- 35:24Speaker 1: know what I mean, and then you're gonna leave and
- 35:25Speaker 1: leave a five dollars tip for this poor waitress who's
- 35:28Speaker 1: been pouring you refills for the last two hours, Like
- 35:30Speaker 1: come on, oh.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Yeah, shout out to the waitresses. That's funny. How many
- 35:33Speaker 2: strip club waitresses I've known that have always ended up dancing.
- 35:38Speaker 2: It's like it's like strip Like waitressing at the strip
- 35:41Speaker 2: club is almost like junior college, and then you go
- 35:44Speaker 2: to university, you know, and then you on the stage.
- 35:46Speaker 1: One of my one of my friends, she's she's a dancer,
- 35:49Speaker 1: and she stopped dancing and she's just the waitress now,
- 35:53Speaker 1: which I don't I don't know.
- 35:54Speaker 2: That happens too, where a girl will be a stripper
- 35:58Speaker 2: for all these years and then they get a little older,
- 36:00Speaker 2: or they get into a serious relationship, or they get
- 36:03Speaker 2: into like I'm just over this ship, let me just waitress,
- 36:06Speaker 2: or the club will come to her and say, hey,
- 36:07Speaker 2: look you're looking a little old and flabby. We got
- 36:09Speaker 2: a waitressing gig for you.
- 36:11Speaker 1: And that's what's happened.
- 36:13Speaker 2: Happen You gotta can you serve drinks because you could
- 36:18Speaker 2: be a hell of a bartender.
- 36:19Speaker 1: That's like being a racehorse. And then one day they're like,
- 36:21Speaker 1: why don't you just give the kids, Why.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Don't you go to the pet.
- 36:26Speaker 1: You can still make tis.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Baby, We'll still we'll still make a little money, will
- 36:29Speaker 2: cut you in, We'll give you some good feed. That
- 36:32Speaker 2: is really that's a nice correlation anyway, So talk to
- 36:35Speaker 2: me man, Just like for you, bro, like you've obviously
- 36:40Speaker 2: kind of taken the comedy world by storm in a
- 36:43Speaker 2: way that's like very It's just dope to see because
- 36:47Speaker 2: I remember when I first heard of you, it might
- 36:49Speaker 2: have been like a year and a half ago, maybe
- 36:52Speaker 2: maybe two years ago, and then it almost felt like
- 36:55Speaker 2: almost like within like a month or two of me
- 36:58Speaker 2: hearing about you and seeing some of your stuff online,
- 37:00Speaker 2: and like you're on Joe Rogan.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Joe Rogan was cool man, he was real nice.
- 37:06Speaker 1: It's crazy how many things people send him?
- 37:09Speaker 2: Are you things?
- 37:11Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I know I know when you when you
- 37:14Speaker 1: have like a podcast or like Rappers, comedian anybody with
- 37:17Speaker 1: like a following, people send you free stuff for sure.
- 37:19Speaker 1: But I remember when I got there there was all
- 37:22Speaker 1: these packages that had just gotten there too, And it's
- 37:25Speaker 1: like that morning, this is what everybody's saying, and a
- 37:27Speaker 1: lot of a lot of drugs.
- 37:30Speaker 2: It's like there's just a package, like hey, yeah, that's
- 37:32Speaker 2: all the stuff that came in the mail.
- 37:33Speaker 1: But it's like, bro, that's that's always crazy to me too,
- 37:36Speaker 1: people who send drugs like that, because it's like, do
- 37:38Speaker 1: you really think somebody's just gonna trust you to take
- 37:42Speaker 1: your drugs?
- 37:43Speaker 2: Especially yeah, especially if they don't know you, especially like
- 37:47Speaker 2: you're sending drugs to Texas, which is never a good idea. Yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 2: but like and to like one of the most the
- 37:55Speaker 2: most powerful media personalities in the world, like, yeah, let
- 37:58Speaker 2: me just traffic drugs to his office.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Even Joe looked at it, Who's just like, yeah, you
- 38:03Speaker 1: have to be an idiot to take this, like, which
- 38:05Speaker 1: I'm not gonna. I kind of tempted to take it.
- 38:07Speaker 2: You're like, well, shit, bro, I'll take it. Story, I'll
- 38:09Speaker 2: figure it out.
- 38:09Speaker 1: But nah, even I would like.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Like I took these fucking jkass drugs from Joe Rogan's
- 38:14Speaker 2: office and he didn't want to take and I ended
- 38:16Speaker 2: up in jail that night.
- 38:16Speaker 1: My yeah, my biggest figure is like, what if somebody
- 38:18Speaker 1: just wanted to make a story out of this, Well,
- 38:21Speaker 1: what if somebody sent me free drugs just drop them
- 38:24Speaker 1: off or whatever, just saw that they could be like,
- 38:27Speaker 1: oh but I laced it with this, And so I
- 38:29Speaker 1: wanted to hear him tell a story about the time
- 38:31Speaker 1: he got laced with some shit. You know what I mean?
- 38:33Speaker 2: For sure, people are twisting me. Now people send you
- 38:36Speaker 2: free shit, like I get I I won't even take
- 38:39Speaker 2: free clothes anymore from clothing lines that you know. I
- 38:43Speaker 2: used to just send my address, not to everybody, not
- 38:45Speaker 2: my address, like the radio station address. I'm like, yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 2: I'll take whatever for free, for show whatever. But now
- 38:49Speaker 2: it's like someone's like, hey, man, I'm gonna send you
- 38:51Speaker 2: a package, and I look at their shit, I'm like, man,
- 38:52Speaker 2: that shit is whack.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:54Speaker 2: Sometimes like I'm good, Like you know, there's shit that
- 38:57Speaker 2: like I fucking fuck with. And you know, like if
- 39:02Speaker 2: fucking Cookies want to send me a box of clothes,
- 39:04Speaker 2: which they do very often, Yeah, I have a support burner.
- 39:07Speaker 2: That's my brother, you know what I mean. Like, but
- 39:08Speaker 2: I'm not fucking I'll support also like independent brands, you
- 39:12Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Like if if there's like a
- 39:14Speaker 2: dope brand, it's like like this guy he makes these
- 39:16Speaker 2: wrestling shirts and I like the YO, shout out to
- 39:21Speaker 2: those guys. They did a collab with OT. Yeah you're
- 39:24Speaker 2: out of Houston. Their fire for sure, like they got
- 39:26Speaker 2: some hard as shit. I've seen it for sure. But uh,
- 39:29Speaker 2: but no, you were saying, so I want to know,
- 39:31Speaker 2: like going on Joe Rogan, there's always this you know,
- 39:35Speaker 2: narrative that once you go on there as a comedian,
- 39:38Speaker 2: almost like a flip switches in terms of like did
- 39:43Speaker 2: it change things for you? Did you notice the maybe
- 39:46Speaker 2: the extra attention, the extra fans, the extra ticket sales,
- 39:49Speaker 2: Like was there a correlation? No?
- 39:52Speaker 1: No, No, I think I think I was doing all right.
- 39:56Speaker 2: No, because you were you were you were like heating
- 39:58Speaker 2: up for you was heating he was on fire.
- 40:00Speaker 1: I think the only the only thing it was more
- 40:02Speaker 1: like a like a badge of merit, if you want
- 40:05Speaker 1: to call it. Like a lot of people who are
- 40:08Speaker 1: already supporting me were like, yo, like it's official, you
- 40:13Speaker 1: made it. Now you're on the Joe Rogan podcast. But
- 40:16Speaker 1: I don't think I got more ticket sales from it
- 40:19Speaker 1: or nothing like that. You know what's funny, this is
- 40:21Speaker 1: how this is how wide and popular. His podcast is
- 40:25Speaker 1: though is I talked quite a bit about when I
- 40:28Speaker 1: used to paint cars, and I guess there was clips
- 40:32Speaker 1: that were, you know, released from that where I only
- 40:34Speaker 1: talk about that, and and and every now and then,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you know, you run into people who recognize you from
- 40:40Speaker 1: like my comedy clips. Order. I was at a bar
- 40:43Speaker 1: in Austin and somebody's like, yo, I know you, And
- 40:46Speaker 1: in my mind I'm like, oh, he's seen my my
- 40:49Speaker 1: stand up clips. He was like, you're a painter. He's like,
- 40:52Speaker 1: I saw you on Joe Rogan man. Keep up the
- 40:54Speaker 1: good word, like.
- 40:56Speaker 2: You paying cars and you made it rog yeah it
- 40:58Speaker 2: must be fired.
- 41:00Speaker 1: So that I mean, that was about it. But I
- 41:03Speaker 1: think I think a lot of the people who follow
- 41:05Speaker 1: me and a lot of people who support my career,
- 41:08Speaker 1: my stand up they were just kind of like proud
- 41:10Speaker 1: to see that. And a lot of a lot of
- 41:12Speaker 1: them are Joe Rogan podcast fans, so they were just like, oh, yeah, bro,
- 41:16Speaker 1: but do.
- 41:17Speaker 2: You know how do you recall her? Do you know
- 41:19Speaker 2: how you kind of got on his radar? I mean,
- 41:21Speaker 2: obviously he's a comedian, fucking I.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Think so somebody had sent me a clip one time
- 41:27Speaker 1: where him and I think it was like Burt Kreischer,
- 41:30Speaker 1: we're talking about me when the whole Lopez thing popped off.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And I think in that clip Joe mentioned he was like, oh, yeah,
- 41:36Speaker 1: I've seen his stuff online here and there, you know.
- 41:38Speaker 1: So I guess he had just seen me here and there.
- 41:40Speaker 1: So did he reach out to you, yeah? Or maybe
- 41:45Speaker 1: I don't know. I just I just remember my manager
- 41:47Speaker 1: was the one that was like, do you have interest
- 41:48Speaker 1: in doing the podcast? You could do it, you know.
- 41:50Speaker 1: And so I don't know if my manager reached out
- 41:52Speaker 1: first or they reached out first, but they got in
- 41:54Speaker 1: touch and I got an.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Opportunity will I went up there during the pandemic, Freddie
- 41:58Speaker 2: Gives and Brian Moses did an episode and so I
- 42:01Speaker 2: was I went to Austin with Freddy Gibbs and uh
- 42:04Speaker 2: we went to his studio and I was so like, like,
- 42:07Speaker 2: the out the exterior of his studio is not what
- 42:10Speaker 2: anybody would expect. It's almost like you're pulling up to
- 42:12Speaker 2: like a doctor's office. I actually think there's a doctor's
- 42:14Speaker 2: office next door, and it's like very like unassuming. You
- 42:18Speaker 2: wouldn't expect like this business complex or whatever.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I didn't assume this was a studio.
- 42:23Speaker 2: That's fair. This used to be a fucking illegal dispensary.
- 42:26Speaker 1: I was about to say, yeah, this looks like like
- 42:28Speaker 1: you traffic.
- 42:30Speaker 2: I actually think that might have happened here before. I've
- 42:33Speaker 2: heard some ship about this place. We had a remember
- 42:35Speaker 2: who was the the fucking oh remember dope Yola came
- 42:39Speaker 2: in here and he said, used to pick up pounds
- 42:41Speaker 2: of drugs from the agents that used to own this place.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I bro, I bet you know.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Thomas from you went on this pot. Yeah. He was like, Bro,
- 42:48Speaker 2: He's like, I know this place. He's like he's like,
- 42:52Speaker 2: walk me through the front because I could tell you where.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, we had to re obviously redo it.
- 42:57Speaker 2: But no. But it's it's funny because it's like it's
- 42:59Speaker 2: for real, like like I would expect it to be,
- 43:01Speaker 2: like you got to pull up, there's this big gate,
- 43:03Speaker 2: open it up, and there's like fucking fields and like
- 43:06Speaker 2: this big airplane hanger and it's just like, oh, you
- 43:08Speaker 2: just kind of pull up. Oh this is where it's at.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah, But I like, I like your space here, man,
- 43:13Speaker 1: and it's given me ideas because I want to start
- 43:15Speaker 1: a podcast.
- 43:16Speaker 2: But it's the thing to do with you're a comedian, right, yeah.
- 43:19Speaker 1: But I never made the time for it or made
- 43:22Speaker 1: it a priority. But yeah, I just started buying like
- 43:24Speaker 1: all the equipment and stuff, right, and I'm working on
- 43:28Speaker 1: I guess my own like little studio space. I don't
- 43:31Speaker 1: I don't want to rent a place now you can
- 43:33Speaker 1: ship building myself a little room.
- 43:35Speaker 2: I mean you live in the country, Yeah, you got space.
- 43:37Speaker 1: My only the only thing is though living out in
- 43:39Speaker 1: the country is like how am I going to get guessed?
- 43:41Speaker 1: That's the problem because I'm near Dallas, but I'm not
- 43:44Speaker 1: that close to data.
- 43:45Speaker 2: That's the problem. And that is a big reason why
- 43:48Speaker 2: I still live in La. Yeah, you see.
- 43:50Speaker 1: So I don't know even even.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Moving to Dallas or like places I've considered, like like
- 43:55Speaker 2: I like l A, I love LA I love Birdbank
- 43:57Speaker 2: where I live. But I've like thought like damn, like
- 44:00Speaker 2: if I move, where would I go? And it's like, man,
- 44:03Speaker 2: but wherever I move, there's nowhere at least for what
- 44:07Speaker 2: I do that I would have the guest access that
- 44:11Speaker 2: I have here. Yeah you know what I'm saying.
- 44:14Speaker 1: And then you'd have to do those zoom podcasts.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Which nobody likes.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Nobody likes that.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and like it's like, you know, if I was like, oh,
- 44:22Speaker 2: I only if I was like a comedian or something,
- 44:24Speaker 2: I moved to Austin because that's what you want to
- 44:26Speaker 2: you'd want to do it. So at least it's kind
- 44:27Speaker 2: of how is that drive like four hours? Five hours?
- 44:29Speaker 1: For me? It's three hours three hours?
- 44:31Speaker 2: Okay? Yeah, but nah, no, you should do a podcast, dude.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Like and that's the other thing too, is like just
- 44:35Speaker 2: figure out what your thing should be is like interviewing fools,
- 44:39Speaker 2: like a lot of times, at least for you, you
- 44:41Speaker 2: could probably just have your friends on cause your friends
- 44:43Speaker 2: are popping, you know, like, hey, when are you d
- 44:44Speaker 2: in Dallas next?
- 44:45Speaker 1: Coming down to take take the podcast on the road
- 44:49Speaker 1: with me. I feel like most of my time I'm
- 44:51Speaker 1: on the road, I'm theo.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Vonn's been doing that more. Yeah, where he'll be somewhere
- 44:55Speaker 2: and you'll be like, oh, that's not his normal studio.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think it'd be cool, like if I'm
- 44:59Speaker 1: in New York for a few days, you know.
- 45:02Speaker 2: To bang out fucking you know, get it, get a
- 45:04Speaker 2: sweet and then set up in the hotel. Don't even
- 45:07Speaker 2: rent one of those podcast studios. It's not worth it
- 45:09Speaker 2: you just because they'll tax your ass for sure.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Yeah fuck that?
- 45:14Speaker 2: What is you mentioned? You know? Obviously for people who
- 45:16Speaker 2: don't follow you, there a lot of people who don't
- 45:19Speaker 2: know you. You Actually, how I heard of you was
- 45:23Speaker 2: because of the George Lopez thing, Like essentially George Lopez,
- 45:27Speaker 2: I would say, was he was a lot of people
- 45:30Speaker 2: say hate being an old head, if you will, have
- 45:34Speaker 2: you found yourself in the position where you because you're
- 45:39Speaker 2: kind of the face, like the the face of like
- 45:44Speaker 2: Latin comedy right now, Like you're the most popping up
- 45:46Speaker 2: and coming Latin comedian at least in my opinion. Obviously,
- 45:51Speaker 2: everybody's subjective to who that may or may not be,
- 45:54Speaker 2: but at least to me, it seems like you're that guy.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Is that something you think about, Like, Okay, if I'm
- 45:59Speaker 2: the face of this new generation, do I have to
- 46:02Speaker 2: be careful about not being the way George Lopez was
- 46:06Speaker 2: to me to like maybe whoever's coming up?
- 46:09Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I I don't think I'm like a
- 46:15Speaker 1: very social person. I think I lean more towards like
- 46:20Speaker 1: an intro vertic side for sure. So sometimes when I'm
- 46:24Speaker 1: in a city like La New York or somewhere where
- 46:29Speaker 1: I go visit, like the comedy store, this club, that club.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Maybe I don't do such a good job of talking
- 46:35Speaker 1: to all the comics saying what's up to all comics,
- 46:37Speaker 1: but I do. I do try to like push myself
- 46:40Speaker 1: to like yo. But one thing that I would say
- 46:44Speaker 1: I do good at and comes kind of natural, is
- 46:47Speaker 1: like if I see a comic who I think is
- 46:51Speaker 1: genuinely funny, whether they be Latino, black, white, whatever, and
- 46:55Speaker 1: I think they're hustling and maybe they're not like a
- 47:00Speaker 1: full time comic yet or their up and coming order,
- 47:03Speaker 1: and I can offer some sort of help, like I
- 47:05Speaker 1: definitely will. Maybe I can't always help as often as
- 47:11Speaker 1: some comics would like me to help, but if I
- 47:13Speaker 1: can lend the hand to somebody who's who I think
- 47:16Speaker 1: is funny or like you know, is working at it,
- 47:18Speaker 1: like I'd love to do that. And I even for
- 47:22Speaker 1: the people that are like in my class or whatever
- 47:26Speaker 1: you want to call it, my rank order, I'm very competitive,
- 47:32Speaker 1: but I see it like in a friendly way, like
- 47:35Speaker 1: like when my friends who are at around my level
- 47:38Speaker 1: are are getting great opportunities or just kindling it on stage,
- 47:42Speaker 1: Like I want to do what they're doing or top it,
- 47:46Speaker 1: but only with the hopes that they're also gonna top
- 47:48Speaker 1: me again, you know what I mean, because I still
- 47:51Speaker 1: want to see them win, like, but they're also seeing
- 47:55Speaker 1: them when it's pushing me to like or let me
- 47:57Speaker 1: keep up, you know what I mean.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Right, So it's almost like it's almost like when you
- 48:01Speaker 2: play somebody you know. First of all, hip hop is
- 48:04Speaker 2: a perfect example again perfect correlation. It's like you might
- 48:07Speaker 2: do a song with your friend, but if you do
- 48:08Speaker 2: a song with your friend, like you want to do
- 48:10Speaker 2: better than them a list, so you want to have
- 48:12Speaker 2: a harder verse.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't want them to just straight or kill you. Yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 1: And even if they do, and.
- 48:16Speaker 2: If they go platinum, you're like, I'm happy for.
- 48:18Speaker 1: You, Like even if you did kill me on that one, Like,
- 48:22Speaker 1: I'm still happy for you. But on the next one,
- 48:24Speaker 1: the next one, try to But I would never want
- 48:26Speaker 1: to not do a song with you. I would never
- 48:31Speaker 1: want to in any in any way want you to
- 48:33Speaker 1: fail or put you down. Like if I have the
- 48:37Speaker 1: chance to alter your career, I would only do it
- 48:40Speaker 1: to alter it for the better. I would never try
- 48:43Speaker 1: to sabotage or talk down on any of the other
- 48:46Speaker 1: comedians out here who are really doing some work, you know,
- 48:49Speaker 1: And yeah, for.
- 48:50Speaker 2: Sure for you, Like obviously stand up is you know,
- 48:55Speaker 2: keep leveling up, doing bigger venues, doing more tickets. You
- 48:59Speaker 2: talked about the pot cast. I think that, like back
- 49:02Speaker 2: in the day, the next like thing would be let
- 49:03Speaker 2: me be on TV, let me do a movie, let
- 49:05Speaker 2: me write a tvcre Obviously that's kind of not necessarily
- 49:08Speaker 2: been the barometer of what makes someone successful in comedy anymore.
- 49:11Speaker 2: But do you have any other goals outside of you know,
- 49:14Speaker 2: what you're doing or the podcast launching?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Man, I would like to write like a show or
- 49:21Speaker 1: a movie. I don't think that type of writing is
- 49:26Speaker 1: my strong suit, right, But for the last like year
- 49:29Speaker 1: and a half, I've been trying to just try it,
- 49:31Speaker 1: like just ideas ideas when I have time.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I'm like, let me like, if you have a premise
- 49:35Speaker 2: for a TV show. Okay, if I got the premise,
- 49:38Speaker 2: now what like, now, like, how do I write a pilot? Yeah? Yeah?
- 49:44Speaker 1: So yeah, But but I love stand ups so much,
- 49:46Speaker 1: I'm like like obsessed with it, Like this is what
- 49:50Speaker 1: I eat, sleep, shit, breathe, Like uh so, I'm I'm
- 49:56Speaker 1: never in my head with too many goals before I
- 49:59Speaker 1: was but but they were just stand up goals. Before
- 50:02Speaker 1: it was like all right, I want I want to
- 50:05Speaker 1: get on the Tonight Show, I want to get on
- 50:07Speaker 1: Comedy Central, I want to do this festival. It was
- 50:09Speaker 1: all like stand up related goals. And my only plan
- 50:13Speaker 1: of attack was like, well, you know, hone, my stand
- 50:18Speaker 1: up be on stage, write more jokes, be on stage,
- 50:21Speaker 1: like just riding beyond stage. Like and I think now
- 50:24Speaker 1: that I've knocked out a lot of the bigger goals
- 50:27Speaker 1: like doo moon tower, Dude, I did the Tonight Show,
- 50:30Speaker 1: I got a special. Now my goals are just like
- 50:34Speaker 1: just keep doing stand up, Like, just keep doing stand up, man.
- 50:37Speaker 1: I like hearing the stories about how like back in
- 50:41Speaker 1: the day the ancient samurai used to make their swords,
- 50:44Speaker 1: how that it'd be like fucking hardest hell and they're
- 50:46Speaker 1: just pounding the steel and all that, and I feel
- 50:49Speaker 1: like that's all stand up is. Every joke is like
- 50:52Speaker 1: another sword, like you just work.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Out that joke.
- 50:55Speaker 1: So I feel like that that's that's always going to
- 50:57Speaker 1: be my number one and.
- 50:58Speaker 2: The goal it's just keep one of the goats.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, if it happens, it happens. But no
- 51:04Speaker 1: matter what, man, I'm always it's like basketball, whether I
- 51:07Speaker 1: make it to NBA or not, Like I'm always enjoying
- 51:09Speaker 1: balling a hoop.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Yo is the hardest thing, because man, there's something about
- 51:14Speaker 2: doing stand up that to me is so frightening. And
- 51:18Speaker 2: that is just like I can only imagine like when
- 51:22Speaker 2: you first started, was doing your first open mic or
- 51:25Speaker 2: just getting on that stage and like trying some shit
- 51:29Speaker 2: not knowing if it was gonna work. Was that Like
- 51:30Speaker 2: how scary is that? Like when you first decide I'm
- 51:34Speaker 2: gonna go and do a minute or two minutes or
- 51:38Speaker 2: because to me, like, man, that I can't think of
- 51:40Speaker 2: nothing scarier. Because me and my boy James always talk
- 51:43Speaker 2: about like, yeah, we should go do an open mic
- 51:45Speaker 2: because I got jokes ideas, and shit, I'm like, man,
- 51:47Speaker 2: fuck that dog, Like that shit sounds frightening.
- 51:50Speaker 1: I just stopped thinking about it because I signed up
- 51:52Speaker 1: for a few open mics and they didn't show up
- 51:56Speaker 1: because you over thought it, over thought it, and then
- 51:58Speaker 1: one night the sign of was like at five pm
- 52:02Speaker 1: once when the list went out for you to sign
- 52:04Speaker 1: up the open mic, the show actually started at seven pm.
- 52:09Speaker 1: And there's like every comic in the city of Dallas
- 52:11Speaker 1: was at that mic, which was like one hundred fucking comedians,
- 52:16Speaker 1: and you know, it's like anything else, you start at
- 52:18Speaker 1: the bottom. Nobody knows who you are, nothing.
- 52:20Speaker 2: So did you get last your first time?
- 52:22Speaker 1: No, Bro, I went up like at one in the morning,
- 52:24Speaker 1: one thirty, and it was just me, the host of
- 52:27Speaker 1: the mic, one of my buddies who had went with me,
- 52:30Speaker 1: who was just knocked out.
- 52:31Speaker 2: He was just asleep.
- 52:33Speaker 1: And then and then like two other open micers who
- 52:38Speaker 1: were on after me. They were the last two.
- 52:40Speaker 2: You were just telling jokes for other open micers at
- 52:42Speaker 2: that point, Bro.
- 52:43Speaker 1: They were yelling at me. They were like they were
- 52:45Speaker 1: they were ready to go home too. They were drunk.
- 52:46Speaker 2: They the fuck up.
- 52:48Speaker 1: Yeah, they were like, shut the fuck up, Bro, get
- 52:50Speaker 1: the funk off already. And so I was supposed to
- 52:52Speaker 1: three minutes. I did like a minute and a half,
- 52:54Speaker 1: and I was like at my time, and I just
- 52:56Speaker 1: like walked out, like just puss it out, like oh
- 52:59Speaker 1: so afraid I might even finish it. Yeah, I just
- 53:01Speaker 1: walked out And I remember not even being nervous. I
- 53:04Speaker 1: was like, I feel good.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Was like ribbing a band aid off that first time, like,
- 53:07Speaker 2: all right, I got on stage now, and.
- 53:10Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe I just remember not being nervous
- 53:12Speaker 1: at all, and then I and then I got on
- 53:14Speaker 1: the stage and the lights hit me and all the
- 53:17Speaker 1: nerves just flooded me and I almost blanked out, and
- 53:20Speaker 1: then I just started talking and I just it was
- 53:23Speaker 1: funny at all. I didn't go back for like weeks,
- 53:27Speaker 1: and I was just like, bro, why did I think
- 53:29Speaker 1: I could do that? It's not for me. But it
- 53:31Speaker 1: was like an obsession, like I just kept thinking about, like, well,
- 53:35Speaker 1: maybe if I would have said this different, Maybe if
- 53:37Speaker 1: I would have said that different, and I'd be at
- 53:38Speaker 1: work just thinking of like a joke that I could
- 53:42Speaker 1: And then eventually, like it might have been more than
- 53:46Speaker 1: a month before the next time I went up actually,
- 53:49Speaker 1: and then I went up and it went bad, but
- 53:51Speaker 1: like a little less bad, and again I was just like,
- 53:54Speaker 1: this is not for me, and like months would go by,
- 53:57Speaker 1: and then I did it again, and then it went
- 53:59Speaker 1: like less bad again.
- 54:00Speaker 2: And got better and better. Yeah, yeah, were you selling
- 54:02Speaker 2: the same joke each time?
- 54:03Speaker 1: Nah? No, no, no, I would yeah, I would try
- 54:06Speaker 1: to work something now until finally, I uh, the first
- 54:09Speaker 1: time I got like laughs, like actual laughs. At that time,
- 54:14Speaker 1: it felt like the whole room just gave me an
- 54:16Speaker 1: applause break. But when I listened to the recording like
- 54:20Speaker 1: a year later, it was just like chuckles. But if
- 54:22Speaker 1: it was the first time getting chuckles, I was like,
- 54:24Speaker 1: oh shit, what.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Was the joke the premise at least, uh, I talked about.
- 54:33Speaker 1: The first time I ever got laught was actually kind
- 54:35Speaker 1: of crowd work. I went on stage because there's this
- 54:39Speaker 1: one open mic I did. It was kind of like
- 54:41Speaker 1: an uppity part of Dallas, and it was like an
- 54:44Speaker 1: all white crowd and very like polos and slacks and stuff,
- 54:49Speaker 1: and I just I was really scared. I didn't think
- 54:53Speaker 1: it would be funny to say that I was really scared.
- 54:55Speaker 1: And I walked on stage and this dude was just
- 54:57Speaker 1: staring at me, like because he's supposed to write, but.
- 55:00Speaker 2: He's like, yeah, you're he's right there, He's right there.
- 55:03Speaker 1: And I was like yo, Like he called the cops
- 55:05Speaker 1: on me and they just laughed, and I was like,
- 55:08Speaker 1: oh shit.
- 55:09Speaker 2: And uh.
- 55:11Speaker 1: The first actual joke I told, though, was at that
- 55:14Speaker 1: time I was working construction and it was like electrical,
- 55:20Speaker 1: like industrial electricity, and I talked about working with my uncle,
- 55:24Speaker 1: and it was something like like like things my uncle
- 55:29Speaker 1: said that at work were things that no electrician or
- 55:32Speaker 1: uncle should ever say. It's like I think this is
- 55:34Speaker 1: where the red water goes. I think lock lock the door,
- 55:38Speaker 1: pull your pants down, like shit like that, and uh
- 55:40Speaker 1: so it would like sometimes get a last sometimes people
- 55:42Speaker 1: should be like oh, like but that was like my
- 55:45Speaker 1: first like good enough joke, like it worked, and so
- 55:49Speaker 1: they would give me three minutes on stage. I would
- 55:51Speaker 1: do like two minutes of like chuckles, and then my
- 55:54Speaker 1: last minute I would just bomb and like yeah, but yeah,
- 55:58Speaker 1: those were the first cup laughs I ever got.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Who's been like some of the big homies for you
- 56:03Speaker 2: in the comedy space that have I kind of like,
- 56:05Speaker 2: you know, giving you advice, put you, put the arm
- 56:07Speaker 2: around you, kind of embraced you early.
- 56:09Speaker 1: And man, there's a lot. That's why I never understand
- 56:12Speaker 1: why people are like like I've made it on my
- 56:17Speaker 1: own or like I don't know how other industries are,
- 56:19Speaker 1: but in comedy, like every comic is only there because
- 56:23Speaker 1: of a million other comics who kind of helped you
- 56:28Speaker 1: here and there, like Dusty Slay, Dan Soder, Matthew Bissard,
- 56:33Speaker 1: Felipe As Sparza, Jerry Garcia, Angela Johnson like it's just
- 56:38Speaker 1: like a few Taylor Williamson like, there's so many comics
- 56:41Speaker 1: who would give me words of advice, would take me
- 56:44Speaker 1: on road gigs, like putting a good word for me
- 56:47Speaker 1: here and there. Like there's just there's there's just so
- 56:50Speaker 1: many comics.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Have you ever dealt with anybody stealing any of your jokes?
- 56:54Speaker 1: Yeah, a couple of times, but I don't think they
- 56:57Speaker 1: were that great of a joke.
- 56:59Speaker 2: You have that one, bro, Yeah, it was like fuck it.
- 57:03Speaker 1: And one thing that uh my buddy Wes told me
- 57:06Speaker 1: like a long time ago, it was the first time
- 57:08Speaker 1: I ever worked with like comics from out of town.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I don't remember where they were from. I was I
- 57:12Speaker 1: was like eight months into comedy and it was me
- 57:16Speaker 1: and my buddy West and there was like these two
- 57:18Speaker 1: other people from I forgot where. And I remember thinking, like, hey,
- 57:22Speaker 1: what if we did jokes tonight and these guys go
- 57:24Speaker 1: back to their time they do our jokes, you know.
- 57:27Speaker 1: And he was just like, then they stole our jokes,
- 57:28Speaker 1: like fuck it. And He's like, but if somebody has
- 57:32Speaker 1: to steal jokes, they probably suck ass that comedy anyway.
- 57:36Speaker 1: He's like, and they'll they'll eventually burn out, you know
- 57:38Speaker 1: what I mean.
- 57:39Speaker 2: They don't. They don't have a bright future if they're
- 57:41Speaker 2: stealing jokes. Yeah.
- 57:42Speaker 1: So like, but if you wrote a good joke we're stealing,
- 57:45Speaker 1: you probably got the ability to write another one.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Yeah, there's more where that came from.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so fuck it, you know what I mean? They
- 57:51Speaker 1: stole your crops, grow more vegetables.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I see, you got all the Simpsons stats. You
- 57:54Speaker 2: got Krusty at Homer. Yeah? Do you still like, are
- 57:57Speaker 2: you like like Simpson's like fucking season fucking at this point?
- 58:00Speaker 2: They do? Used to watch Simpsons? Nah? Not really? Yeah.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Uh they took away fucking aboo.
- 58:06Speaker 1: And yeah rich in peace to our pool man.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Yeah they got rid of him.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Bro, it's crazy, but yeah, I like I like Simpsons,
- 58:13Speaker 1: like Futurama, I like animated shit.
- 58:15Speaker 2: Would you put Simpsons over like as like above, Family
- 58:18Speaker 2: Guy in South Park?
- 58:20Speaker 1: Mmm, that's tough man.
- 58:22Speaker 2: Boon Dogs is up there too.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Boon Dogs is up there too. But I think as
- 58:25Speaker 1: far as like all right, family Guy in Simpsons, I
- 58:28Speaker 1: don't know, man, it's close like watching two different comedians though.
- 58:31Speaker 2: For sure, but it's very close, like in terms of
- 58:32Speaker 2: like how iconic. I mean, obviously, the Simpsons are the
- 58:35Speaker 2: most iconic animated television show ever, but like Family Guy
- 58:39Speaker 2: kind of pushed, Like Family Guy was so fired that
- 58:43Speaker 2: they had to bring it back after it got canceled
- 58:45Speaker 2: because the DVDs dropped and everybody watched it. I don't
- 58:47Speaker 2: know if I don't know how old you are, but
- 58:48Speaker 2: what happened was the Family Guy got canceled, and then
- 58:51Speaker 2: the DVD boxes came out and everybody got the DVDs
- 58:54Speaker 2: and them ships were booming, and then they had to
- 58:56Speaker 2: bring it back.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I had, I had, I had got some of
- 58:58Speaker 1: those DVDs. I was I was like too young to
- 59:01Speaker 1: be having those DVDs.
- 59:01Speaker 2: Family Got was heat, but it just pushed the limit
- 59:03Speaker 2: more than than Simpsons in a way that like South
- 59:06Speaker 2: Park always pushed the limit. But I feel like Family
- 59:08Speaker 2: Guy was like the Simpsons, but like hella aggressive.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Simpsons is like nineties Bulls though.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Man, yeah for sure, Simpsons, like it's like for sure, yeah,
- 59:17Speaker 2: they are like the nineties Bulls for sure, and then
- 59:19Speaker 2: Family Guys like they're fucking shocking Kobe Lakers.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but like I still I still love both of them.
- 59:27Speaker 1: There's days where I get home and I'm like, I
- 59:29Speaker 1: just put on some.
- 59:30Speaker 2: Old Simpson is the best because you can just pick
- 59:31Speaker 2: any fucking like of the first like twenty years just
- 59:33Speaker 2: throwing like yeah, like a shuffle or something.
- 59:37Speaker 1: For some days, I'm in family guy mood and I'm
- 59:39Speaker 1: like this is you know what I mean, But I
- 59:40Speaker 1: feel like it's just like watching I don't know many
- 59:45Speaker 1: Chris Rockers. Mitch Hebburgh, you know what I mean, very different,
- 59:48Speaker 1: very different, very different, both very funny.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Very Yeah, for sure, Mitch hedberg RESSI piece one of
- 59:51Speaker 2: the great pieces. His delivery was crazy. Your delivery is
- 59:54Speaker 2: so dry, which is why I buck with you, bro,
- 59:56Speaker 2: because you're like, shit is so like like I like
- 59:59Speaker 2: that kind the ship, like the way you deliver your jokes.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: It's so I just I just I appreciate it. I've
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: always enjoyed like kind of like dry.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I never understood what my humor was until I started
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: reading comments. But I never was in my head like
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I needed like if I just say dry or if
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I just like people will be like, Bro, he's so mellow.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I was like I am, and but I think in
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: my head I'm just so like focused on like just
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: say this and then say that, and then I think
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: it'll work. But I never pictured or thought about like
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: what I sound like, you know what I mean?
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: No, And then you don't think about it until you
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: fucking look at the feedback and yeah, maybe I do
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: do that.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: It's like it's like running for a touchdown. You're not
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: thinking about how you look when you're running. You just
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: like just getting the in zone. And then you watch
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the video and you're like, damn, I run like a duck.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Like are you you grew up a Cowboys fan? Oh?
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: No, not really. I mean I'm a Cowboys fan by default.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: It's my shitty like I mean, Luca and the MAVs
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: are the finals. MAVs. Yeah, I'm a mass fan for sure.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: You guys got the fucking greatest Caucasian ever live on
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: the MAVs bro, all time white already Bro.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: And then we got Kyrie. I'm was always a big Kyrie.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Kyrie is one of my favorite players ever. I'm a
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: big Lebron fan, so watching him on the Caves was
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: just I mean.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: It's been so My main like problem over the last
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: like year has been trying to find a Kyrie jersey
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that fits, like, like I don't like ordering shit online.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: So every time I try.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: To go to a store, they don't have smaller media.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: They don't have like the medium, or they don't have
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the Kyrie jersey. I got a lucal one, but I'm
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: like obsessed, And every time I go to the store
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and there's no Kyrie jersey, I'm like more obsessed with
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: getting in there.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Well, now they gotta have them. Now they're in the finals.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Now they're sold out for sure everywhere.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: For sure. Yeah, Kyrie, I hope he fucking because the
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: facts he played for the Celtics and that shit went
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: the way it went. I'm rooted for the Mavericks.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: Bro, of course I am too. And you know what's crazy, though,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: is I'm actually a little bit of a Celtics fan too.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Like when I wasn't watching the MAVs game, I don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: watched like the Celtics. You know, when I was a kid,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: I started liking the Celtics back when they had like
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Rondo Kevin.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a good team.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: So this is gonna be bad ass games Man.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Dallas gotta be on five, bro, they fucking win because
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: you guys won the fucking you guys beat my Diamondbacks
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: in the fucking World Series last year.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Yeah, that was, you know, my first live MAVs game ever.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Was was the game when the Rangers won the World Series.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: The Maps were playing the same night. That was my
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: first time going to.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: A the MAVs game that night, and then so the
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: arena probably went crazy.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Yeah, they they played the game. The MAVs game was
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: over and they played the rest of the Rangers game
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: on like the big Jumbo tron.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: And everyone just hung out and yeah, have you have
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: you had any interactions with any of the MAVs guys
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: or like ever ran into like Mark Cuban somewhere or something.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: That that game. I got to sit court side.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I had one side.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I had like this little deal with the MAVs
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: where like like I would make like content video like yo,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: this is what my experience was at the mass game. Uh.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: One of my my media manager pulled that off for
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: me man and Mark Cuban was there and I was
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: gonna shake his hand, but there's so many people yelling
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: and like talking to this dude, and he's just like
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: so I was like, all right, you know, I don't
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: want to bug that dude.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: I got to sit court side at a son's game
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: two seasons ago, and I was like, this is a
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: dream come true. Like I'm sitting on the on the
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: floor of a son's game, like the players are right there.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: I was like, damn, Like I didn't pay for the tickets,
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: but it was like, man, when I was a little kid,
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: all I ever wanted to do was sit course.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: You know what, you know what it felt like it
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: is because I'm sitting there and then I'm having flashbacks
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: to just sitting on the side of a court at
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: the park watching like the big kids.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: You hear everything, Yeah, Like, motherfucker, James Harden's like inbounding
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: the ball. He's on the Sisters at the time your
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: sons are playing the Sixers, like inbounding the ball, talking
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: shit to Chris Paul like like inches from me. I'm like, bro,
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: this is crazy. You hear these fools talk shit to
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: the reps like like you hear it.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: All, bro. I like when I like when I'm watching
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: the game on TV and I can tell like when
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: there's like a close up on Luca or something like
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I think it was a game, man, it was a
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: game two. It was like Game two or three of
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: the MAVs versus Minnesota, and Luca made it made a
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: he made a basket and then he said it looked
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: like he said go home, bitch. And then later on
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: on Instagram they show what he said that and I
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: was like, hey, he did say that. I like when
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: I can lip read the trash to and get it
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: fucking that ship, that's gotta be so annoying.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: He hit that shot and he was he yelled at
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Rudy Gobert. I was like, and then everyone tried to
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: speculate what he said. He's like, I didn't say anything.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: I was talking to him in whatever fucking language. But
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: but then he was like saying, I think he was
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: saying go home, bitch or something. Proud right, Yeah, he
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: was the crowd. This fucking dude is sick ass bro.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: That feels amazing. Man, shout out to Luca. Man. All right,
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: So for people who don't know man, how can they
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: support you? Obviously you got your tour, You've got a
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: lot of tour stuff going on.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: For anybody who doesn't know me, merch wants to come
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: out to the show. Follow me on Instagram at Ralph
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Barbosa zero three. We started selling merch at shows, but
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I never was consistent with merch. You gotta drop that
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: merch man, I got, I got it now, but I
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: need to I need to like work on like a
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: little online store too. But right now we just sell
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: them at the shows, shirts, stickers, working on other stuff,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: right But yeah, now I got like a little bit
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: of a of a team rolling with me, so they
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: kind of helped me out. My buddy Hymen's over there
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: helps me stay on top of ship. You know what
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I mean?
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: Are you doing anything else in the hip hop space?
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Obviously you did some skits on Mexicano T's Don't Start
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: Luci album, which were great.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I don't want to say too much because then if
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: things don't work out, then they'd be like, we're happy
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: with that. But nah, I'm you know, I'm a big
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: hip hop fan. I'm just I'm just happy to be
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: around for whatever I can be around, Listen to whatever's
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: coming down.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: What's you're fucking like? Give me like your top like
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: who's your top five? And give me like your top
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: three albums?
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Ever my number one all out like greatest album of
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: all time to me is UGK is right? And Dirty
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Fire my top five and because it doesn't really fall
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: to like.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Did write and Dirty that's someone with Murderer.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: And Murder, Pinky Pinky Ring Ring and all the life,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Oh my Diamonds and wood.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Yeah, is like a between pimps and Bumbee steal pc bitch,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: So what the fuck is up? Dog?
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: But yeah, my top five doesn't really fall to like
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: five single rappers though, it's more like the groups like
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: just Yeah. My top three is UGK three six, Mafia
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: and out Cast, and then after that it's hard to
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: choose the last two because like, I love Chief Keef,
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: I love Gucci Man, I love jay Z. A lot
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: of people in Texas eight on jay Z, but I
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: love jay Z and I don't know I.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: Don't cast my favorite group of Yeah, yeah, I got
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: right there to fucking I wish Andre. Did you see
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: the video of Andred three thousand playing the flute at
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: that festival? Dog? That ship was? It was rough because
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: he wasn't playing like, uh, imagine there's this giant festival.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Of people and like some Zelda music just popping, no
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: bro like.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: And he pulls out a flute and it ain't like
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: he's like playing the flute like that's like one of
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: them big ass flutes, or he's got a band behind him,
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: like it's like a flute that's like this like this
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: straw and he's just hitting there and everyone's and it's
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: just dead ass quiet, and everyone's just like and it's like, man,
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: it's I mean, it's andre three thousand dogs. So it's like, shit,
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: fucking his flute album is a great album to get
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: him a too, he said.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: He said something on this one interview I think where
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: he was like he's like, well, man, I'm older now,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: like like I'm not even rapping.
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: No more about that ship. Like he's like, what am
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: I supposed to talk about it being older? Yeah?
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Right, I don't know, Like I'm not a big flute guy,
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: but I'm like, fuck it, I respect you doing whatever.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: He just dropped the fucking song did you see them song?
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: No, I haven't. I haven't heard it when I was
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: when I was very, very small, Like that was one
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: of the first big rappers that I was like really
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: into made. What's that one song? Just lose It? Yeah?
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: I like that song.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: It's very just losing song. Yeah, he shot like he's
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: almost like he just READID an old video to be honest,
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: but you know, shout to eminem Man, I gotta check
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: that out. Appreciate you man for pulling up. Of course,
