- 0:00Speaker 1: State game day gear, not just for game day.
- 0:03Speaker 2: At the Rogue Men's store, they've already got it, so
- 0:05Speaker 2: it's already there. A big section of the store has
- 0:11Speaker 2: Old Miss and Mississippi State Peter Malar gear for days.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Luke Abney, good morning, how are you both?
- 0:17Speaker 1: Thank you for having me.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Good morning, And it's finally starting to feel like football
- 0:22Speaker 3: season to me. I mean everybody's been waiting for it
- 0:24Speaker 3: and through college baseball and World Cup or whatever, but
- 0:27Speaker 3: it's kind of like, now's the time.
- 0:28Speaker 1: It's go time. It is go time. I like, first
- 0:32Speaker 1: of all, I like what you're wearing.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Thank you very much. I mean, you always you're in
- 0:35Speaker 2: the business, that's what we do. You're in the fashion business.
- 0:38Speaker 2: You're also in the sports marketing business like us, because
- 0:41Speaker 2: you've sold an enormous amount of Peter Mala Old Miss
- 0:44Speaker 2: and Mississippi State gear yep over the years.
- 0:47Speaker 1: But I like the sport code Jack Victor.
- 0:49Speaker 2: It ridiculous how good their stuff is. I love the
- 0:53Speaker 2: button down pants, shoe. Everything's going well here, Trent, top
- 0:57Speaker 2: to head to toe. You're ready at the store. It okay.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Jack Victor's sport coach are unbelievable. Luke told me a
- 1:05Speaker 2: great story about that deal. We may hit that a
- 1:08Speaker 2: little bit later or in a few minutes in the interview,
- 1:12Speaker 2: because that's cool.
- 1:13Speaker 3: I want to get a lot of new got a
- 1:14Speaker 3: lot of new stuff in the store right now. So
- 1:16Speaker 3: excited about it.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Those three Jack Victor Sport coachs that you showed me
- 1:19Speaker 2: yesterday were in Fuego. I mean, just absolutely beautiful and
- 1:26Speaker 2: you can you can do anything with those jeans. You
- 1:28Speaker 2: can dress some way up, you can go to an
- 1:31Speaker 2: engagement party, you can do everything in between. Correct, you
- 1:35Speaker 2: can go out to dinner tonight, or you can have
- 1:37Speaker 2: one of the biggest meetings you've ever had, Jack.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Victor Sport coat, cool button down new Tokova's boots for
- 1:42Speaker 3: Friday night before a football game for throw one of
- 1:45Speaker 3: these on with some you know, Bracts pants or some
- 1:47Speaker 3: shorts for the game day and we got to cover
- 1:50Speaker 3: for the weekend.
- 1:51Speaker 1: To Cova's boots. That's cool. Okay, So walk me through
- 1:56Speaker 1: you were you were the first You were.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Like A, I don't know what do I how do
- 2:02Speaker 2: I say this? You were one of the first to
- 2:04Speaker 2: understand where Peter Malar was going, right, you know, which
- 2:09Speaker 2: is pretty I don't know if that's your golf background
- 2:12Speaker 2: or what, but you knew early you sold the first
- 2:15Speaker 2: powder blue piece of Old miss fourteen years.
- 2:18Speaker 1: We did years ago.
- 2:19Speaker 3: We did, you know, years ago when people started wearing
- 2:22Speaker 3: the coach's shirt, you know, the Nike coaches shirt and
- 2:25Speaker 3: Adidas whatever whoever.
- 2:26Speaker 1: You were right, you.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Know, it's time to find some fashion in that polo
- 2:29Speaker 3: because besides, besides game day, I'm not sure where it
- 2:34Speaker 3: maybe cut in the yard, you would wear that, okay,
- 2:36Speaker 3: But so we took what we do and combined it
- 2:39Speaker 3: with like Peter Malar and since then we've had other
- 2:41Speaker 3: vendors do it, but you know, they do a great
- 2:43Speaker 3: job at colorations and fabrics and designs, and so we
- 2:46Speaker 3: did that. We've also helped, you know, urged them to
- 2:51Speaker 3: use some different logos.
- 2:52Speaker 1: You know, we are very.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I say, say logo people, but you know Mimisi State
- 2:58Speaker 3: has a few logos, but you know they only really
- 3:01Speaker 3: like you like the walk and bully, you love the
- 3:04Speaker 3: script State in baseball seasons, the baseball MS and you
- 3:08Speaker 3: got the the MS J logo or the MS used
- 3:10Speaker 3: to they interlocking the inter locking.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah, people kind of put that with Jackie Sheryl. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 2: they dude, that's the old old school, like JJ Johnson.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 4: God, he ran over everybody.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Too, that guy. Anyway.
- 3:23Speaker 3: And then and then you got the Rebels, and you
- 3:24Speaker 3: got the script Old Miss, which has been very good.
- 3:26Speaker 3: And then you got the SIP logo, which was brought
- 3:29Speaker 3: back years ago. And so you know, we were trying
- 3:31Speaker 3: to get the right logos on the right merchandise so
- 3:33Speaker 3: you can wear it whether you want to play golf
- 3:35Speaker 3: or you're gonna go some party, whatever it may be,
- 3:38Speaker 3: that you're comfortable with the logo and the quality of
- 3:41Speaker 3: the piece, the design, the way it looks, and how
- 3:44Speaker 3: it fits in your wardrobe.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Peter Malar gear Ole Miss and Mississippi State at the
- 3:49Speaker 2: Rogue Men's Store, Luke Abney on one oh five nine
- 3:52Speaker 2: the Zone ESPN. Let me see what's my favorite?
- 3:59Speaker 1: All right? So the one that's down here on by
- 4:02Speaker 1: the way.
- 4:02Speaker 2: You can watch the show on YouTube search out of
- 4:04Speaker 2: Bound Sports. Luke has one, two, three, four, five, six
- 4:10Speaker 2: eleven pieces behind us that he has hung up here
- 4:14Speaker 2: and they look great. My favorite is the Old Miss
- 4:16Speaker 2: Blue right here, and then the Mississippi State is either
- 4:21Speaker 2: the Walking Bully right there or the state script right
- 4:25Speaker 2: beside it. Yep, yeah, but I love the two. I
- 4:29Speaker 2: don't even know how you describe those. I just say,
- 4:31Speaker 2: super thin hoodies. We call them a featherweight hoodie. Featherweight Featherwait,
- 4:36Speaker 2: you can layer it or just wear it by itself.
- 4:38Speaker 1: That's why it works so well. This is your coming
- 4:40Speaker 1: home Sunday piece.
- 4:41Speaker 3: That's why you're driving home Sunday or you know you're
- 4:45Speaker 3: going up on Friday nine or Saturday morning whatever, or
- 4:48Speaker 3: just hanging out at the house.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That's right.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, they're good looking. I mean, I love so you
- 4:53Speaker 2: knew early Peter. Okay, it was the golf piece first, right,
- 4:58Speaker 2: That's why you really understood what they were doing. And
- 5:01Speaker 2: then they got into the collegiate series.
- 5:04Speaker 1: The collegiate series.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Good friend of mine who kind of opened up their
- 5:06Speaker 3: collegiate business years ago. Now I forgot where he is now,
- 5:09Speaker 3: but you know, he and I started talking about it,
- 5:12Speaker 3: and he goes, what about if we did a powder
- 5:13Speaker 3: bl you know what if we do some quarterships for all?
- 5:16Speaker 3: Miss I said, well, y'a ought to really look at
- 5:18Speaker 3: doing a powder blue because the helmets from years ago.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And he said, okay, he goes, so he ran it
- 5:24Speaker 3: through licensing, and they did it and next thing we know,
- 5:28Speaker 3: I don't know how many thousands we cald. But what's
- 5:32Speaker 3: interesting about the powder blue is it came out for
- 5:34Speaker 3: all miss and then and then every school in the
- 5:37Speaker 3: country has even adapted the powder blue as another form
- 5:41Speaker 3: of color to wear, you know, because they've got like
- 5:44Speaker 3: Notre Dames got green and white and maybe a little
- 5:47Speaker 3: bit of yellow or gold, but they also got a
- 5:49Speaker 3: powder blue. Alabama has got a powder blue polo.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Really I can't.
- 5:55Speaker 4: Sell one in the store.
- 5:57Speaker 3: But State has a powder blue polo that they offer,
- 6:00Speaker 3: and so there's no way I can offer a powder
- 6:02Speaker 3: blue mispastate.
- 6:03Speaker 1: No, not happening.
- 6:04Speaker 3: But everybody has that's been approved by every school.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Powder blue house. Dang, Yeah, it's crazy. Peter Malar figured
- 6:12Speaker 2: it out. Plus there's stuff is we were talking about
- 6:14Speaker 2: this yesterday at the Ruguemen's store. You can find this
- 6:17Speaker 2: old miss Mississippi State Peter, Peter Mallar gear. We were
- 6:21Speaker 2: talking about how the quality and the cuts and how
- 6:25Speaker 2: they've come from golf to the business room to UH
- 6:31Speaker 2: surgical sales and high end.
- 6:33Speaker 1: In whatever you're doing.
- 6:36Speaker 2: You know, well, I'm high in sports talk radio I'm
- 6:38Speaker 2: wearing a Peter mallar.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But you know what I mean.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I mean it's first, it's now going to dinner, it's
- 6:44Speaker 2: it's going to work, and it's going to the game.
- 6:46Speaker 3: You know, years ago and Peter Law was a great brand,
- 6:49Speaker 3: but now it's become quote a luxury brand or a
- 6:52Speaker 3: fashion brand, whatever you wanna call it, because they do
- 6:54Speaker 3: everything from like that featherweight polo featherweight hoodie that you
- 6:59Speaker 3: can do anything work out in, or they've got great
- 7:01Speaker 3: things you can wear to dinners. They've got sport coats,
- 7:03Speaker 3: they've got suits, they've got the whole closet for you.
- 7:07Speaker 3: And so it's one of those things. It's a great
- 7:09Speaker 3: name and you can trust as far as the quality
- 7:12Speaker 3: to fit. Just been very fortunate to have a relationship
- 7:15Speaker 3: with a long time.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Well and you were on the front end Luke Abney
- 7:18Speaker 2: with the Rogueman's store. I think this is cool because
- 7:22Speaker 2: you remember what we wore in nineteen eighty five and
- 7:25Speaker 2: it just didn't look good, you know, I mean everything
- 7:28Speaker 2: was heavy and so on, and you didn't have good
- 7:31Speaker 2: gear from Ole miss or Mississippi State or BAMM or LSU.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Look how far we've come to where you can throw
- 7:39Speaker 2: on a cool golf shirt or a pullover and it
- 7:42Speaker 2: looks great.
- 7:42Speaker 1: All right, So I'm not a small guy. Okay.
- 7:45Speaker 3: So in nineteen hundred and ninety five, when you went
- 7:49Speaker 3: to when you went to your football game, and you
- 7:51Speaker 3: wore your red cotton polo, right, do you know how
- 7:55Speaker 3: hot that was?
- 7:56Speaker 4: Jack? Ugh?
- 7:57Speaker 3: I mean that's about as high as you wearing that
- 7:59Speaker 3: koogie sweater a lot, that's right, I mean, just real,
- 8:02Speaker 3: just you know. And so they wanted you to wear
- 8:04Speaker 3: that all the time, and I'm like, man, after the
- 8:06Speaker 3: first time award, you can't wear it again, right, that's right.
- 8:09Speaker 3: So we had to evolve somehow, and so we've evolved
- 8:12Speaker 3: into all this unbelievable all.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Right, let's switch to Let's go to Jack Victor. Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 2: you were telling me about the guy.
- 8:21Speaker 4: So Nelson Sorell, who is he's the president of Jack Victory.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Yes, okay, And he reminds me of a really cool
- 8:28Speaker 2: guy that dresses to the nines every day and looks.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Like he's in the mob. Nailed it, Okay, I'm going
- 8:35Speaker 1: to have him on the show A bench nailed it awesome, dude.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you talked about how he's the perfect New York,
- 8:42Speaker 2: New Jersey guy.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Lives big, works hard, yes, the whole thing. Born and
- 8:48Speaker 3: raised in Jersey, been in the fashion business for years.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Runs Jack Victor, one of the best guys in the business,
- 8:55Speaker 3: you know, one of the more connected guys as you
- 8:57Speaker 3: can imagine. Yeah, CBS Sports uses all of the Jack
- 9:00Speaker 3: Victor's clothing. I mean, you know, Jim Nantz and Hello
- 9:03Speaker 3: friends with the Jack Victor Blazer and on the Masters
- 9:05Speaker 3: and then their whole football crew, Matt Ryan. You know
- 9:08Speaker 3: you've seen You've seen Matt when he's on it looks
- 9:10Speaker 3: really good. So you know, Nelson's really connected, but a
- 9:13Speaker 3: super down dearth guy. And so I took him to
- 9:16Speaker 3: went to a Yankees game last week, and I mean
- 9:18Speaker 3: he's just your ultimate New York Yankees fan too, just you.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Know, typical guy Booth.
- 9:23Speaker 2: They've won nine hundred championships and you told me he's
- 9:25Speaker 2: always him and Glenn Absolutely, we're not even good. We're
- 9:28Speaker 2: never gonna make it to the playoffs, typical New York
- 9:30Speaker 2: sports fans.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And it's just like, just like your friend from Louisiana
- 9:35Speaker 3: who comes on there, he's got the yak from that,
- 9:39Speaker 3: Nelson's got the same yak from the northeast.
- 9:41Speaker 1: That's great.
- 9:42Speaker 4: You know, you really feel like you're authentic GARMENTO.
- 9:46Speaker 2: So what makes them I mean, there's stuff's really good looking.
- 9:49Speaker 2: What well, it's one hundred and forty years in the business.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You know, they've been doing it for a long time.
- 9:53Speaker 2: They've it's not like they just went and copied a code.
- 9:56Speaker 2: They've they've they've been they've been a factory of four
- 9:58Speaker 2: hundred to five hundred people.
- 10:00Speaker 4: They've been there for years. Uh.
- 10:02Speaker 3: They know how to stitch, they know how to sew,
- 10:04Speaker 3: they know how to source fabric, they know how to
- 10:06Speaker 3: get the right fit done.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It's just years of business.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I mean, you know your show and the first year
- 10:12Speaker 3: you had it was in the some garage of a closet,
- 10:15Speaker 3: you know, and you've evolved since then into this. I mean,
- 10:18Speaker 3: you know, I'm sure their first you know, jacket was
- 10:21Speaker 3: what but now it's you know, they've got tons of
- 10:23Speaker 3: the unique.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Beautiful thing.
- 10:24Speaker 3: So it's it's the years of business, the years of
- 10:26Speaker 3: experiencing the business, how to source the right fabrics, how
- 10:29Speaker 3: to get the right people to make the garment. And
- 10:32Speaker 3: again they've got really they've got great people. You know,
- 10:35Speaker 3: people it's a people business. They've got great people in
- 10:37Speaker 3: there and there.
- 10:38Speaker 1: They get it. They get it, and he answers to
- 10:41Speaker 1: somebody with the last name Victor.
- 10:42Speaker 4: Mister Victor is a phenomenal person.
- 10:44Speaker 3: That's pretty cool. It is it is. They've they've had
- 10:48Speaker 3: a Victor run it since day one.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Unbelievable.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yep, all right, Jack Victor sport coach among other pieces
- 10:55Speaker 2: at the Rugman.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Store, suits, sport coats, pants, you got it. That's what
- 11:00Speaker 3: kind of what we have this fall.
- 11:01Speaker 2: So for okay, all right, the newly renovated the Rogueman's store, Yes,
- 11:08Speaker 2: just south of Holland Village, and now you walk in
- 11:11Speaker 2: the front door and that is the store.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It looks great.
- 11:14Speaker 2: The lighting is amazing, the layout and if you if
- 11:17Speaker 2: you walk in Luke's store this week or next going
- 11:21Speaker 2: to pick up your old miss Or Mississippi State Peter
- 11:23Speaker 2: Mallar piece, you walk in the store and just go right,
- 11:27Speaker 2: and then the whole wall is all collegiate.
- 11:31Speaker 1: We've been, you know, been very fortunate.
- 11:33Speaker 3: We took a you know, we've had a very great
- 11:35Speaker 3: existing business for years that was a certain look, you know,
- 11:39Speaker 3: and we've we evolved it into where it is now
- 11:41Speaker 3: better lighting.
- 11:42Speaker 1: It still has.
- 11:43Speaker 3: We still got the same people, Yeah, but just a
- 11:46Speaker 3: it's a brighter feel, brighter merchandise, better lighting, better flow
- 11:50Speaker 3: for the store. You can see everything. And so we've
- 11:53Speaker 3: been very fortunate the way it turned out.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Somebody just asked if you'll ship them a piece. Uh yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 2: we take off one of payment. Okay, because I knew
- 12:02Speaker 2: you were when when ole Miss was in the college,
- 12:05Speaker 2: when Ole Miss was in the college football playoffs, you
- 12:07Speaker 2: were shipping ole Miss Peter Malar gear all over the country.
- 12:11Speaker 4: We shipped to forty states in three weeks.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Forty states in three weeks for our listeners.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Un real.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I bet Mary was like, what in the world is happening.
- 12:23Speaker 2: We had mister Cruse and everybody else. Correct, we have
- 12:26Speaker 2: We had people, We recruited people to come.
- 12:28Speaker 1: In to help out.
- 12:29Speaker 3: All hands on deck, all hands on deck. It was,
- 12:32Speaker 3: it was It was a lot of fun. You know,
- 12:33Speaker 3: it was we you know, whether it's Old Miss or State,
- 12:36Speaker 3: we welcomed that challenge every year.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Well, the Omaha series did well too.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I mean, obviously the College Football Playoff was unbelievable. It
- 12:43Speaker 2: was a big run. Three games, it went for six weeks.
- 12:47Speaker 2: That was incredible. It was the m O s Omaha
- 12:50Speaker 2: collection that you rolled out in uh January or February.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I thought we sold a none of that. Great ye
- 12:56Speaker 3: sold a ton of that, And so we're we're trying
- 12:58Speaker 3: to get ahead of it this year. We know that
- 13:01Speaker 3: there's a pretty big game in September in Oxford that uh,
- 13:05Speaker 3: you know, it's gonna be red and blue, so you
- 13:07Speaker 3: can buy either one you want. Oh nice, okay, and
- 13:10Speaker 3: that uh and that MSSY State has some good games
- 13:13Speaker 3: at home in September. The schedule in October is a
- 13:17Speaker 3: little difficult, but yeah, you know, but then we come
- 13:19Speaker 3: back from November. So we're trying to get you some
- 13:21Speaker 3: ideas to wear for the first three weeks and get
- 13:24Speaker 3: you through the hot time of the year so that
- 13:26Speaker 3: you're ready to go.
- 13:26Speaker 4: You don't have to worry about game day, all right.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I have to hear about your your mate. You love baseball.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I mean you are a huge baseball fan. Your son played,
- 13:37Speaker 2: one of your sons played college baseball, another one played
- 13:40Speaker 2: college golf. What you know, will Warren real Well, do
- 13:45Speaker 2: show you went to Yankees white socks and Yankees Cubs.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yankee Yankee socks on Thursday. Okay, and then Yankees Cubs
- 13:54Speaker 3: on Friday and got to watch Will pitch went six
- 13:57Speaker 3: and two thirds on Friday, gave up four hits, ruck
- 14:00Speaker 3: out seven nowhere.
- 14:01Speaker 1: And runs got the win. Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Wow, he shoved it exactly he did last ninety pitched.
- 14:08Speaker 3: He gave up three a couple of couple of as
- 14:11Speaker 3: Jay would say, a couple of lazy plays by the
- 14:13Speaker 3: center fielder. Oh and and uh but he pitched well,
- 14:18Speaker 3: just no offense behind him.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Will Warren from Jacksonssissippi and Jackson Prep in Southeast Louisiana
- 14:24Speaker 2: correct is now in the starting is.
- 14:27Speaker 1: One of the starting pitchers for the New York Yankees.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Right.
- 14:29Speaker 3: He usually follows either Slitler or somebody in the in
- 14:33Speaker 3: the in the lineup, which is kind of cool. I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 3: he's the fourth guy in the lineup behind h Cole Freed, Schlitler.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I mean Will you're talking about to Yeah, wow?
- 14:46Speaker 2: Can you imagine being able to put I don't even
- 14:49Speaker 2: have to be a Yankees fan too. Can you imagine
- 14:51Speaker 2: being able to put on the pen stripes with all
- 14:54Speaker 2: their history and play pitch for the New York Yankees?
- 14:59Speaker 4: Just kind of like know Connor.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I mean, Connor goes to Connor's the Pirates and he
- 15:03Speaker 3: gets called up, and so his his mentor is Paul Schemes.
- 15:06Speaker 3: You know, obviously Jake's there, and Jake's been a friend
- 15:09Speaker 3: for years. But I mean, you know, so Will gets
- 15:11Speaker 3: called up and his mentor is Garrett Cole and Aaron Judge,
- 15:20Speaker 3: Garrett Cole, I mean, those are his guys.
- 15:23Speaker 1: That's incredible, it really is.
- 15:25Speaker 2: So you got Will Warren with the Yankees in the
- 15:29Speaker 2: starting rotation, which is awesome, and Connor, Griffin and Mangam
- 15:35Speaker 2: right on the same team with and Paul Skins. I mean,
- 15:38Speaker 2: it's pretty pretty freaking awesome.
- 15:40Speaker 3: A lot of a lot of baseball, a lot of
- 15:41Speaker 3: Mississippi baseball. You got Dakota's out in the Double A
- 15:44Speaker 3: with the Giants, and there's other guys that are out

- 16:43Speaker 4: This could be good.
- 16:44Speaker 1: The floor is yours.
- 16:45Speaker 3: So Jackson other day said something about the teaser parlay of.
- 16:49Speaker 1: The week and you go, you know, we have to

- 17:16Speaker 1: the week. Is this what I'm sponsoring now? Yeah?
- 17:18Speaker 3: Okay, making sure I've sponsored worse or less right or
- 17:24Speaker 3: more inappropriate?
- 17:25Speaker 1: Right, Well, that's what I came up with.
- 17:28Speaker 2: And I thought it was kind of funny, and he's
- 17:32Speaker 2: why not fun right?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 17:34Speaker 2: And I told we asked him to either pick our
- 17:37Speaker 2: team's games or in the SEC.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I would prefer that you did a conference game or
- 17:42Speaker 3: or I don't we don't need your Friday night yeah right,
- 17:47Speaker 3: your Saturday night?
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you call it?

- 18:01Speaker 2: Out of Bounds Show, they've got all the Peter malar
- 18:04Speaker 2: Ole miss and Mississippi state gear for you for the
- 18:08Speaker 2: twenty twenty six football season. Sun Devil Macy is on
- 18:11Speaker 2: the techs line bo Spring Street Cigars is also the
- 18:15Speaker 2: best post dinner place in town. It's lady friendly, God
- 18:20Speaker 2: bless it. I love it, okay, and it's it's a
- 18:24Speaker 2: cool cigar bar lounge, right there in the same building
- 18:27Speaker 2: of the Rogueman's store and and nukes. Just want to
- 18:32Speaker 2: let you know Hawaii plays at eleven PM three times
- 18:34Speaker 2: this year.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't need Mexico.
- 18:42Speaker 1: It's easy, all.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Right, Martin Dingmon, Yes, sir, we gotta we gotta switch
- 18:47Speaker 2: gears here. Luke Abney on the show, you told me
- 18:52Speaker 2: the story last year of the year before. Okay, it's
- 18:55Speaker 2: an incredible story. We had Avery Dingmon on. They're the
- 18:59Speaker 2: hot shoe in the country, and you have them at
- 19:02Speaker 2: the Rugman story.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Dude, mister Dingman started the company years ago, so everybody
- 19:06Speaker 3: knows who cole Hon is. So mister Dingman designed cole
- 19:09Speaker 3: Hon accessories and footwear for a long period of time.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Left went on his own and started doing belts and shoes,
- 19:15Speaker 3: you know, thirty four whatever years ago. And so as
- 19:19Speaker 3: he was doing this, he had he had children, but
- 19:22Speaker 3: he wasn't quite sure who is going to take over
- 19:23Speaker 3: the business. So Avery played played basketball at Creighton, went overseas,
- 19:29Speaker 3: played in the European League, came back, started getting in
- 19:31Speaker 3: the business, and started doing more of the design work.
- 19:34Speaker 3: So Avery now is kind of the face of the business.
- 19:37Speaker 3: He's the creative creative. I get to the business and
- 19:40Speaker 3: when we see at market all the time, phenomenal guy.
- 19:42Speaker 3: He's probably thirty five, no, thirty two, Okay, if he's thirty, yeah,
- 19:49Speaker 3: but we're all getting older, so he's probably thirty now
- 19:51Speaker 3: sure anyway.
- 19:52Speaker 1: But a great guy.
- 19:53Speaker 3: And he's take transformed the company from you know, dress
- 19:57Speaker 3: shoes into more what we see every day of not
- 20:01Speaker 3: ath leisure, because ath leisure could be anything, sure, but
- 20:04Speaker 3: you know stuff you want to wear, like sneakers I
- 20:06Speaker 3: got on today. You can wear jeans or bras pants cool,
- 20:10Speaker 3: you know white bottom things that you can wear dress
- 20:13Speaker 3: pants and suits, whatever. But really has taken the collection
- 20:16Speaker 3: and elevated into it in today's times versus you know
- 20:20Speaker 3: what our dad wore, a granddad wore.
- 20:22Speaker 2: So he injected a big fashion piece into it to
- 20:26Speaker 2: where you can do all you can again like we
- 20:28Speaker 2: were talking about earlier. You can go to dinner, you
- 20:31Speaker 2: can meet people for brunch, you can go out and
- 20:33Speaker 2: make sales calls, all the all the above with Martin
- 20:36Speaker 2: Dingemon Shoes.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Correct. Yeah, it's a great story and there and.
- 20:40Speaker 3: How they've how they've kept it going in the family
- 20:43Speaker 3: and the families can continue these tradition, but just you know,
- 20:46Speaker 3: it kept kept changing.
- 20:48Speaker 1: It, making it better, refining it.
- 20:50Speaker 3: As they say they refined a country life, they kept
- 20:52Speaker 3: refining it for uh, for for us the consumer.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Nice, I've got two minutes. Do you want to pump
- 20:59Speaker 2: that you'll do this for other people or you want
- 21:01Speaker 2: to Oh no, We so like if somebody wants fifty pieces,
- 21:04Speaker 2: got it.
- 21:04Speaker 4: So right now we've got a hundred tea.
- 21:06Speaker 3: We've got one hundred and eighty pieces right now in
- 21:08Speaker 3: the works for a canopy salute canopy, children's solutions with
- 21:11Speaker 3: a good sweater for their golf tournament. We do things
- 21:14Speaker 3: like what you're wearing right now with your logo on.
- 21:16Speaker 3: We've done one for First South Farm Credit. We've got
- 21:19Speaker 3: one coming out for them. It's twenty pieces, so we'll
- 21:21Speaker 3: do twenty pieces, we'll do ten pieces, we'll do, we'll
- 21:24Speaker 3: do We'll do five hundred pieces as we've done so,
- 21:27Speaker 3: but we're happy to do it. Corporate logos are fun
- 21:29Speaker 3: because it just gives you more of an identity. A
- 21:32Speaker 3: lot of people are going to work and they may
- 21:34Speaker 3: not wear what I have on every day. They feel
- 21:36Speaker 3: like they need to wear an identification piece and they'd
- 21:39Speaker 3: rather do it with something that looks good feels good,
- 21:42Speaker 3: rather than just going to get some piece from X
- 21:45Speaker 3: y Z Company for twenty bucks and broider.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Let's look good.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Let's look good when we're making a call, right, Let's
- 21:52Speaker 2: let's look good.
