Latest / The Regulars / Dan Orlovsky’s Percent Fiasco & The NFL’s Wild Weekend
Transcript
- 0:00A full weekend of NFL action. The World Series has been an
- 0:03absolute bludgeoning, and Dan Orlowski doesn't know what a fucking
- 0:07percent is. Holy shit. Wine is everywhere.
- 0:11Welcome to the show. You're amongst friends. This is The Regulars. I'm Cody Decker.
- 0:14And we are officially the podcast that is the
- 0:18greatest shame of every white supremacist
- 0:22and incel in America. Thank you for being here. Thank you for the numbers.
- 0:25Oh.
- 0:34Welcome everybody. It is a Tuesday evening here in Los
- 0:38Angeles where it's still sunny actually for probably like the second to
- 0:42last time of this time of year for us because it's gonna be— we're gonna
- 0:45be in like the dark finally. It's gonna actually feel like a nighttime show.
- 0:47I was thinking about it though, it is funny because at this time of year
- 0:50there's less sunlight here than there is on the East Coast.
- 0:53So even though I am going to be in New York for the time change,
- 0:56it's not— I'm not going to feel it as drastically until I come back.
- 0:59I'm not happy going to New York without me. I know he doesn't like that
- 1:02I'm leaving without him for New York. I really, really love New York because we
- 1:05have, we have a lot of plans in our heads to tear New
- 1:09York apart together. Dude, we will destroy that place because I, I lived there and
- 1:13I have like a lot of places where I'm like, yeah, I'm like weirdly a
- 1:16regular and like it's— I cannot— you're walking like a little celebrity.
- 1:20It's a very Norm Cheers type of situation. They'll immediately lose interest in you because
- 1:24I become one's favorite person as soon as I walk into
- 1:28the restaurant. I don't think that was necessary, and that is actually very true.
- 1:31It actually is a problem in a lot of places we go to. We'll go
- 1:34to a place and they're thrilled to see me, my local spots,
- 1:38and then when you walk in, I'm fucking not there. Yeah.
- 1:41You're yesterday's news. It happened at the fucking Rose Bowl,
- 1:44man. I know. I'm sitting there, I'm like, yeah, I'm cock of the walk,
- 1:48just walking my beat, doing my thing. You see how they legend? Me, me,
- 1:52me, me, me, me, me, me. And the dude just fucking walks right by me.
- 1:56Ray, I love your, your videos.
- 2:00And she's like, have you met my friend Cody? He's like, I don't give a
- 2:02fuck. He was like, please don't make me talk to this loser. Um,
- 2:05no, I, uh, also you and I have talked about this.
- 2:09You were— we're trying to ensure that you're gonna play baseball
- 2:13at least some point. Yes. Before you're done.
- 2:17Oh, I'm definitely— I'm gonna definitely— I'm 100% gonna play in one more
- 2:21UCLA baseball alumni game. And there is, there is still
- 2:25a realistic chance at some point I might actually play in
- 2:29an independent baseball league game again here in Southern California. There is
- 2:33a realistic chance that actually takes place. That I will
- 2:36be— the, the, the Instagram stories of
- 2:40On the Regular's Instagram page that day will be back, which is like
- 2:43me in the stands. Oh, it'll be so good making friends and then acting like
- 2:48an absolute maniac because my family's known for being in the crowd and being loud.
- 2:51Well, I can't wait for the UCLA one. That's going to be a fucking fun
- 2:53one because That's going to be around a lot of people I know, and that's
- 2:56going to be great. But here's the thing. A lot of people are already very,
- 2:58very excited, very excited for today's Media Corner.
- 3:02Mm-hmm. Are they already talking about Dan Orlovsky? They are all talking about
- 3:06Dan Orlovsky. You guys are going to have to wait. And a lot of people—
- 3:08a lot of people are just bringing up Mina Kimes, your new— your new associate
- 3:13at Threads. Yeah. Mina Kimes is rolling in her grave. Mina Kimes
- 3:18puts up with this man. Listen. Just one after another.
- 3:22Poor— somehow this has just become a Mina, a Mina Kimes situation.
- 3:27They're just like, that's who we were really feeling bad for. Um, all right,
- 3:30well then we might as well get into it because, you know, we got a
- 3:32lot of show to do and only so much time to do it. And at
- 3:35this point, you know, I'm covered in wine. So you are, you are,
- 3:39just how everyone likes you. Exactly. I mean, listen, who doesn't,
- 3:43who doesn't want a woman walking into a bar just— I mean, into a room
- 3:46already smelling just fully of wine? It is. You are covered in wine,
- 3:50and I'm very, very sorry about that. Uh, my mug did kind of explode.
- 3:53They will be hearing from me. Maybe you'll be hearing from our
- 3:57lawyers. Name— oh, we could— we can do like the Trump thing and like call
- 4:00in like fake lawyers. Yeah, like our own lawyer. Yeah. Oh,
- 4:04I don't know what Mr. Decker's been up to. He's very— Mr. Decker is currently
- 4:08covered in wine. He couldn't come to the phone. This is Paul Thomas
- 4:13Andrewson. See, I didn't do Paul Thomas Anderson. Esquire. I'll throw
- 4:17an Esquire. Yeah. Well, the thing is, you got to get your $30 back or
- 4:20whatever it was. I do need my $30 back. All right. Headline number 1.
- 4:24Tanya, take it away. We're going to hit
- 4:28on last night's Monday Night Football game, as we always do on Tuesdays.
- 4:32The Eagles are in a spiral as an entire
- 4:36entity. The Cowboys snapped their 2-game losing streak.
- 4:40Philly dropped its 5th consecutive game in a defeat that exposed problems on both sides
- 4:44of the ball. The Cowboys piled up 416 total
- 4:48yards, including 204 rushing yards and 18 unanswered
- 4:52points after the Eagles briefly took the lead in the third quarter. So it was
- 4:56a good game through 3 quarters. Then shit goes to hell. Now,
- 5:00important to point out that Dallas entered the game with one of the NFL's
- 5:04least productive rushing attacks, and yet
- 5:09over 200 yards on the ground. Williams was averaging 6.2 yards per carry.
- 5:13Prescott was not sacked or hit by the Eagles defense.
- 5:17This Eagles defense looks atrocious.
- 5:22Now, you and I have been talking a lot about Howie Roseman.
- 5:26Yeah, this is a defense that lost 3 to 4 key players last year.
- 5:30He let them go in free agency. They had a big signing midseason that they
- 5:32then let go. There's a lot going on here.
- 5:36It's a— it's like a fairly well-paid defense, But it's not well constructed. Yeah.
- 5:40And I don't know, Cody, do you think this team looks the
- 5:44same without Jalen Hurts? No, I don't. It's funny. It's funny. It seemed like they
- 5:48lost that one little engine that was capable
- 5:51of making them win. And I don't want to
- 5:55say I feel vindicated because the man's got blood clots, but I do feel
- 5:58vindicated. I hope he feels vindicated. I hope he does. Because, like, listen,
- 6:02they were— they were working so fucking overtime on trying to pin this season
- 6:07on him and Sirianni, which they're going to successfully now pin on Sirianni.
- 6:10Um, but Hurts is going to kind of— luckily Hurts is not going
- 6:14to be saddled with this. And I think a lot of fucking people have really
- 6:16opened their eyes a little bit when it comes to Jalen Hurts and kind of
- 6:20the treatment of Jalen Hurts. And I, I don't think enough people are putting together
- 6:24the timeline of all of this well enough for me, um, to see how like
- 6:27the, the corporate machine was kind of putting out the hit pieces on Jalen going
- 6:31into this season. That, that still really fucking bugs me. But now
- 6:35that kind of how he's got egg on his face and he kind of has
- 6:38nowhere else to run except for pinning it on Sirianni at this
- 6:42point, he's going to And listen, you do what you got to do. But at
- 6:45the end of the day, the Eagles look like absolute dogshit. They looked like dogshit
- 6:49from jump street. And even though I thought that, I still thought with Jalen Hurts
- 6:52there, they were going to win this division. Now, of course, they're going to— they
- 6:56would have. I think they would have won that game last night with Jalen Hurts.
- 6:58They definitely would have won that game. Also, did you notice that the broadcast was
- 7:01really trying to sell people on Tanner McKee? Yeah, it was
- 7:05bizarre. It was weird. Tanner was not playing well. He wasn't awful. He could have
- 7:09been way worse. He was fine. But they were like, you know, he's really capable
- 7:13of— no, he's fucking not. He is a true and like a
- 7:16tried and true, very inexperienced backup. Like he's one of the most inexperienced backups that
- 7:21they have on a team that's supposed to be a playoff contender. And I've talked
- 7:24about this a lot. This is another sign of, of Howie Roseman being
- 7:28unserious about this team, but trying to convince Eagles fans that he is.
- 7:32Backup quarterbacks are a sign of how,
- 7:36how much you really believe in your team as a title contender. Yeah.
- 7:39So when you look around the league, you know, Lamar Jackson has Tyler Huntley,
- 7:43great backup quarterback. Up in Buffalo,
- 7:46Josh Allen has— he has somebody that's like pretty legit, like just veteran
- 7:50quarterbacks. We see the quarter— the backup quarterbacks for Caleb Williams.
- 7:54Unserious situation with the Rams, which I don't love.
- 7:58With the Ty Simpson situation. Yeah, it's a bit of a mess. So like,
- 8:01honestly, if Matthew Stafford goes down, the Rams are just— yeah, they have no
- 8:05chance. But if you look around the league for the majority, like fucking Patrick Mahomes
- 8:08backup is Justin Fields. Like When you have a—
- 8:12nobody ever talks about the fact that I didn't even know that.
- 8:15Yeah, quarterback depth is like pretty nice one, really, really important
- 8:20when you feel like, okay, if our quarterback goes down, who do we have to
- 8:23try to step up if we're trying to patch together a few games? Yeah,
- 8:26for them that— it's just like, that's just another fucking little
- 8:30thing that irks me about the whole situation because that's— he should have
- 8:34a real backup quarterback. I agree. Supposedly they wanted Andy Dalton to be the backup,
- 8:38and he said no. I'm actually kind of surprised by that. That's— are you surprised
- 8:42by that? Because didn't he just go somewhere? Didn't he just— I think it might
- 8:46have been before the season. Oh, but Andy just went somewhere. The Red Rifle just
- 8:50went to a team. He did? Yeah, as a backup, I think. Oh, weird.
- 8:53Yeah. Let us know in the chat if you know where Andy Dalton went.
- 8:55Yeah, please let us know if you've heard any, any of that breaking news of
- 8:59Andy Dalton that I know is just turning the pages of the paper. The Cowboys
- 9:02offense looked how it was, how it should have looked this whole season, But like,
- 9:05but their defense is also dogshit. Their defense still gave up, what, 20 to
- 9:09Tanner McKee? Tanner McKee, who is very capable, by the way, based on the broadcast.
- 9:12Yeah, he was great. Oh my God. Yeah, he's capable because he can score on
- 9:16the fucking Cowboy defense. That shit's made of fucking graham crackers.
- 9:20Yeah, graham crackers is crazy.
- 9:21Jesus. So yeah, I don't feel like I learned
- 9:25a ton about the Cowboys other than like, okay, like you can, you can
- 9:29beat a reeling divisional rival without their starting quarterback
- 9:33with a real falling apart defense. I don't
- 9:37know, man. That, that entire organization's in disarray. And I do feel like the locker
- 9:41room has suffered a lot because of it. So I'm really just not
- 9:45that shocked. He went to the Atlanta Falcons. Okay. All right.
- 9:48I actually really like that move. I fucking love it. Very weird backup for Michael
- 9:52Penix. Yeah, but it's a weird choice. But like, you're not going to go find
- 9:55another Michael Penix. It's also Kevin Stefanski. He's got to have a white guy on
- 9:59that roster. Where are you going to find— but where are you going to find
- 10:01another lefty? I mean, fucking, you can't get Mark Brunell to come out of retirement.
- 10:05Left? No, it's just that you can't get another Michael Penix.
- 10:09Where are you going to find another lefty? He found Tua. Tua. That's it.
- 10:12That's all. And he's tried. And we learned this cannot happen again.
- 10:17I honestly think Michael Vick right now would be better than Tua. Oh,
- 10:20100%. 100%. I would like to see it.
- 10:23I would. I mean, not— I really don't because I'm glad he's healthy and retired.
- 10:26But, you know, like in the world where we could guarantee he couldn't get hurt.
- 10:30Well, I'm just saying that would— Andy Dalton over to the Falcons is not bad.
- 10:33Crazy hot take on the show when we get to the— if we get to
- 10:36the Falcons, I might be mentioning the Falcons are next. Good, because I got a
- 10:39crazy hot take about the Falcons. Okay, so quickly, the Falcons beat the
- 10:43San Francisco 49ers. They did. San Francisco had an
- 10:46early 14-3 lead in the second quarter, but Atlanta responded with 23
- 10:50unanswered points across the 4 consecutive scoring drives. The Falcons
- 10:54forced 4 turnovers and intercepted a late pass to end the 49ers'
- 10:57comeback hopes. San Francisco is no longer undefeated.
- 11:00They are 6-1. Atlanta demonstrated Just how aggressively forcing turnovers
- 11:04can flip a game for a high-performing opponent.
- 11:08Before I ask my question of the game, I would love to hear your hot
- 11:12take. Now, obviously, every one of
- 11:16my hot takes comes barring health and injury. Okay.
- 11:20The Atlanta Falcons are going to be battling to go to the Super Bowl.
- 11:23They're going to the NFC Championship Game. I don't know if they're going to win
- 11:25that game, but they're going to that game. Is that
- 11:30like because they're going to— that's what it convinced you of yesterday? No, they're going
- 11:33to win their division. They're— because their division— oh well, yeah, we know that.
- 11:35They're going to win 2 games and they're going to the NFC Championship Game.
- 11:39They might not win that game, but they're gonna fucking surprise everybody and fucking Michael
- 11:43Penix Jr. is gonna play out of his ass. I would love that. I'm— it's
- 11:46going to fucking happen. I don't think they're going to the Super Bowl, but I
- 11:49think they're going deep into the playoffs and I think they're gonna surprise everybody.
- 11:51I would love that. I would love that for everyone there. I still really have
- 11:54a lot of beef with Kevin Stefanski. I get it. So it's an emotional thing
- 11:57for me. I get it. But I care more about those players than I hate
- 12:00Kevin Stefanski. And that is improvement for me. Look at you. You have fucking grown.
- 12:04Thank you. Or are you getting soft? Don't, don't accuse me of
- 12:08that. I won't. I won't. I'm asking. I'm just asking questions.
- 12:12Isn't that what podcasts are for? Oh my God. I'm just asking questions. Well,
- 12:14I have a question. Yes. Is Brock Purdy the
- 12:18guy who can hold things down when he loses weapons, when things are like off?
- 12:22Because like, this is the whole thing with him. He's lost a lot of weapons.
- 12:24But this is the whole thing with him, is that like he looks so
- 12:28good when everything's cooking and all, everybody's there and whatever. And it's— and
- 12:32it's not that he was bad. He was not bad. Brock Purdy is never
- 12:36bad. And I like— that's why I do genuinely always respect him. But like comparing
- 12:39him to someone like Jalen Hurts, who's going to will you a fucking victory with
- 12:43fucking nothing on the field, whatever, whatever. I don't know if he's that guy.
- 12:46We're about— how about this? We're finally going to really find out.
- 12:50Huh? I think Mike Evans is coming back. Well, good. I need him on my
- 12:53fucking fantasy team, dude. Well, can you tell your tight end to do something?
- 12:56We'll take it to that later. Which one? Uh, because I picked up Mayer and
- 12:59neither did fucking shit for me this week. Um, but like, I don't
- 13:02know, I just have questions about the Niners.
- 13:06You and I have stayed skeptical that they can go like bell
- 13:10to bell when it comes to a season, start out this hot
- 13:13and end with a title, right? Like, they're just— there's always something
- 13:17that seems to like just be being chipped away at their success.
- 13:21And it's— you can't fault Shanahan's scheming and design.
- 13:25There's nobody who does it better than him. They might do it as well,
- 13:29but not better. I don't know, man. I— every once
- 13:33in a while, I just feel like I see what the
- 13:36one little ripple that Brock Purdy just isn't.
- 13:40And I do wonder if it's not actually Brock Purdy's fault, but more a
- 13:44flaw in Shanahan's design, really, which is, you know, I said before the season started
- 13:48that it's like the one thing that we're all like selling is bulletproof, and even
- 13:51I'm kind of buying into that. Here's, here's the,
- 13:55the fatal flaw. Here's the little, you know, break in
- 13:59the storage system that causes the Titanic to fall apart.
- 14:04The— a lot of people say not anybody, not just anybody can run Shanahan's system.
- 14:09You gotta be smart, you gotta be whatever. No, any quarterback,
- 14:12any like good to above average to great quarterback can
- 14:16run Shanahan's system. Most quarterbacks are too good
- 14:20for it. If you look at Josh Allen,
- 14:23Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Matthew Stafford,
- 14:27all of those guys, the best quarterbacks in the league, Caleb Williams, even if you
- 14:30want to extend it to Drake Maye, they could all run that offense.
- 14:33They really could. They are all too talented for it. You would
- 14:37be underutilizing what they can do, whether it's in the pass game, the run game,
- 14:40dual threat. It doesn't matter. You could be on— you'd be underutilizing
- 14:44them because it is so, so managed. And the
- 14:48great thing about Purdy is that he can manage it perfectly.
- 14:51He can do everything that's asked of him. He absolutely can. And his
- 14:55talent doesn't exceed the scheme, it meets it.
- 14:59And sometimes he's able to scramble out of a problem or
- 15:03whatever else. He's mobile enough. But like, that's also the flaw,
- 15:07is that Shanahan doesn't let his quarterback fucking quarterback,
- 15:11right? Like, doesn't— like, Purdy, for all I know, is perfectly capable
- 15:15of freelancing, going to a read, going to whatever and doing
- 15:19the thing and just taking over a game. That's not what Shanahan
- 15:23quarterbacks do. And I do think in these spots it holds them back. That makes
- 15:27sense. Thank you. No, that makes sense. I'm looking forward to seeing it. How about
- 15:31this? We're about to finally actually see it. Great. Mike Evans is coming back,
- 15:34so he's not going to be out without all his weapons. But Mike Evans has
- 15:36also been hobbled the whole season. One more hit's going to fucking put him back
- 15:39down again. Trust me, I know. He's my fantasy fucking wide receiver and
- 15:43my whole season is now dictated on his health now.
- 15:46I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it's not fucking great. That being
- 15:50said, I'm looking forward to seeing it because I'm rooting for
- 15:54Brock Purdy. It's hard not to root for the guy. There's nothing— there's no reason
- 15:57to not root for Brock Purdy. Let's move on to the Bengals-Ravens game where
- 16:01I think we learned more about the Ravens than we did about the Bengals.
- 16:04Although, you know, I I think they come into the second half,
- 16:08have it come out of the second half with a— they're down,
- 16:11um, and they just laid
- 16:15it on. They just laid it on to the Ravens. Ravens fell apart. They have
- 16:19a major— they have a major issue here. We have an issue with the Ravens
- 16:21who lost 35-13 after leading the game with the 13, and then
- 16:25there was just every other point was the fucking Bengals.
- 16:29We talked about this earlier in the season. Everybody was talking about how the
- 16:33Ravens fall apart. They just fall apart at the end of games. They fall apart
- 16:36in the 4th quarter. Not Lamar specifically, but the rest of the team.
- 16:39Thought it was maybe a Jim— a, uh, John Harbaugh situation.
- 16:44All kinds of things that it could be. This is a— like, Cody,
- 16:48it has to be like a culture problem. I mean, this is like weak
- 16:52shit. It's weird. Weak shit. Because like, you're right, like, we thought
- 16:57it might have been Harbaugh, but it's strange. He's gone and the same thing still
- 17:00exists. But like, this is the thing. Minter is a Harbaugh tree guy. He just
- 17:04came from Jim. And like, during the offseason,
- 17:08I, I really fought my ass off to be excited about
- 17:12Jesse Minter. Ravens fans were excited about— I didn't want to rain on their parade.
- 17:15This is why I rain on y'all's parade. This is why I fucking say what
- 17:18I say, because I try— what I wanted, what I wanted to see was if
- 17:21you're gonna go defense, yeah, you hire Brian Flores,
- 17:24you hire a Black head coach for that quarterback. Give your
- 17:28quarterback someone he can fucking relate to for once. These fucking white guys
- 17:31every fucking time. And I'm not saying Black quarterbacks can't work with white coaches.
- 17:34That's not what I'm saying at all. But like, these— we saw
- 17:38the difference in, in guys like Mike Tomlin and
- 17:41the difference that he could make and relate— in relating to his players.
- 17:45Black quarterbacks rarely ever get that. Okay, fine, you're gonna give him another white
- 17:49guy. What else is new? Then I'm thinking, well, if you're gonna
- 17:52go offensive, are there offensive coordinators out there that
- 17:56are capable of, you know, maybe giving Lamar what he needs?
- 18:01And it's just like they just went with another
- 18:05non-offensive guy from a Harbaugh tree. And I don't— now we're seeing the same
- 18:09shit. We have 2 cultures falling apart and both of them
- 18:12are from the Harbaugh tree, both the Chargers and the Ravens. Oh, you're not wrong
- 18:15about that. But I'm not willing to put the close of
- 18:19the book on the Ravens right now. A Lamar-less loss is not
- 18:23something I'm going to panic about. But you're not wrong about the 4th quarter collapses.
- 18:26That's just something I just don't understand. Perfectly capable without Lamar.
- 18:30I agree. Not giving up 30 fucking points in the second half.
- 18:34I truly do not understand the fourth quarter collapses. I truly do not. It's insane.
- 18:39There is something wrong. Maybe I don't. I would say they're cursed, but they've
- 18:43won a few championships, to say the least. Well, yeah, not in a minute though,
- 18:47right? True. But like, they came from— they came from Cleveland.
- 18:50Sure. Well, yeah, they shed the curse when they came from Cleveland because they won
- 18:54very soon after that. Like almost immediately, in fact. Ray Lewis helps with that.
- 18:57It did. It does. Getting Ray Lewis really helped that out. It really does.
- 19:00Amazing. He was good. Is he available by any chance? He is.
- 19:04But, I quickly wanted
- 19:08to touch on Bucs-Panthers because, bludgeoning. I have been like holding
- 19:11on. I, I've watched Todd Bowles hold on to his job
- 19:15for dear life. And, and I really like Todd Bowles. He's been a really successful
- 19:19coach. And anybody that Bruce Arians rides for, I ride for.
- 19:22He's like a great assessor of talent and somebody who is one of
- 19:26the few reasons why there's as much diversity in the league as there is.
- 19:29Um, so I love Bruce Arians' guy, and Todd
- 19:33Bowles is great. His defense destroyed—
- 19:37I mean, we've been, we've been really praising Bryce Young. Yes,
- 19:40really praising the Panthers. They looked like shit. Awful. I mean, they fucking rocked
- 19:44their asses. I was blown away by this game. Like, fucking blown
- 19:48away. It was in the early set of games, and I just remember watching this
- 19:50thinking like I was watching a rerun of like 2 seasons ago. Like,
- 19:54or what, like what Brady's like You know, last season,
- 19:57like, this was batshit. It was— Baker was
- 20:01having the time of his fucking life. Well, you know what? I think they
- 20:05discovered exactly what they need to do to make Baker Mayfield work and worth what
- 20:08they just paid him, which is give the ball to Bucky Irving. Yeah. Which has
- 20:11always sort of been what they should be doing. Bucky Irving's been really underrated
- 20:16and really underutilized, and I like seeing him being leaned on. 106 yards,
- 20:192 touchdowns. It did sort of feel like this was like a fuck
- 20:24you game from— I don't know what it— like, does he have a beef with
- 20:25Dave Canales? I don't know. He really run it. Up there. It was—
- 20:30he was— he was proving some sort of fucking point. He was really fucking bitch-slapping
- 20:33the guy. Cody, we gotta talk about Giants fans. Let's talk about Giants fans because
- 20:37they fucking suck. They're delusional. Yeah, guys, ride for JJ all you
- 20:41want. This is at your own fucking risk. You do your thing. And it's not
- 20:44even just Giants fans, it's Michigan fans too, which annoys me
- 20:48because I'm a Michigan fan. And so are we gonna have a problem next month,
- 20:52you and I? UCLA is going up to Ann Arbor, man.
- 20:55No, we won't have a problem. They're bad this year. Yes, they are. And so
- 20:58I can just root for UCLA for you. Like, I don't really care. Like,
- 21:00that's, that's fine, girl. Yeah. So, okay, here's the deal.
- 21:04The Michigan fans and the Giants fans congregated
- 21:09upon me on Threads when I wrote, I'm not buying into JJ McCarthy hype.
- 21:13Oh, I've done this before. You got some shit again. They were all after you.
- 21:16They were so mad. Rich Eisen talks shit.
- 21:19He posted a fucking— he posted that goddamn JJ McCarthy dime,
- 21:23which was a dime. He threw a fucking dime. Yeah. And he posted the highlight
- 21:27with, with the eyeballs and I'm like, Rich, oh my God, yes, he threw a
- 21:31nice pass in, in his first start. He did good. Zach Wilson,
- 21:35have you not seen this story before? First of all, I watched his run at
- 21:38Michigan. He was, he was a great— he was a, he was above average college
- 21:41quarterback who got the job done. Thank God the whole offense ran
- 21:45through Blake Corum. It was really nice. Yes. Just so we're clear. Yes. It ran
- 21:48through Blake Corum. That dude doesn't do shit without Blake. Okay, fine. But he did
- 21:52his job great. Seen a lot of great college quarterbacks. I don't
- 21:56get it either. Are we serious? All— and I didn't even say JJ's gonna
- 22:00suck, stop believing in him. All I said was I am not buying into
- 22:03hype. One, they— it was an overtime
- 22:08win against the Texans, who are bad, who have
- 22:11lost the fucking plot. I— listen, Again,
- 22:15if you want to put your fucking stock in JJ McCarthy, you do your thing.
- 22:18You fucking do it. You fucking light the candles. You do all your shit.
- 22:23I am not going to do that because I can clearly
- 22:27see what's about to happen. Now granted, you're in the worst fucking division maybe
- 22:31in the NFL. There is maybe one other division that might be worse than you.
- 22:34Someone has to win this division, so it might as well be
- 22:38you. But I sure as shit am not fucking ring the victory bells
- 22:42about the fucking New York Football Giants. It's— it was— it's honestly like,
- 22:45I have to be honest, the most delusional thing on the planet is for
- 22:49you to get J.J. McCarthy, a failed discard from
- 22:53the Vikings, and then have him have one good start and be mad that
- 22:56all that I said, I'm not buying it. I'm not— you— you
- 23:01buying it? What does it— these motherfuckers don't have to prove
- 23:05anything. These white boys don't have to prove fucking shit to anybody, do they?
- 23:08They really fucking don't. They just got to show up with blond hair
- 23:12and a fucking little attitude playing for a Harbaugh, and that's all it takes for
- 23:16everybody to just start— uh, are you fucking kidding me?
- 23:19Okay, I didn't think I was gonna get that mad, but you know what,
- 23:23I surprise myself every day, Cody.
- 23:27You know someone's gonna get a GIF, make a GIF of that, and that's gonna
- 23:30be— that's gonna be the fucking worst thing you ever decided to do. And it's
- 23:34JJ McCarthy that did it to you. It's JJ that broke you. You don't care.
- 23:37I— you have to understand, I don't I don't
- 23:41care. I'm gonna end up— I'm gonna end up— I can't believe it was Jay.
- 23:44Of all the things that we talk about on the show, it's finally JJ the
- 23:48one that got you. Because, because Shedeur had like 300-yard
- 23:52passing games with the worst fucking offense I've seen in a minute last year on
- 23:55the Browns, and all I wanted to do was give him credit after a game.
- 23:58I just want to give him credit after a game and say that he did
- 24:01something no rookie has done for like 20 years for the Browns, and people were
- 24:05like It's one game, you fucking loser.
- 24:09You're not wrong. Listen, I'm gonna— I didn't say he was taking them to the
- 24:12playoffs. I am very blown away by the amount of JJ McCarthy hype that happened
- 24:16this last weekend. Let's see how it goes to next weekend and then the next
- 24:19weekend. I have seen this story. Maybe,
- 24:22maybe a miracle has happened. Maybe this is a Disney movie.
- 24:25Maybe. I have no reason to believe that we're fucking in a Disney movie.
- 24:30I mean, in general, let alone JJ fucking McCarthy.
- 24:33Dysregulated myself. Yeah, you okay? You back? I just
- 24:38was like— I just went into an absolute tailspin. You just saw a white-hot fucking
- 24:41flash of fury and just let it go. I think I didn't realize how mad
- 24:46the comments were making me. I didn't— I didn't realize either. Okay,
- 24:49well, sometimes you find things out about yourself. Um, speaking of the
- 24:53Vikings, Lady JJ15 says Tanya is channeling me. Oh good,
- 24:57I'm glad I'm channeling someone. Maybe that's why I felt out of body.
- 25:00Um, although that's not really— that was not out of character for me, let's be
- 25:04real. No, I've seen it. So the Vikings beat the Colts 16-10.
- 25:09Um, it was all defense. The offense was still struggling.
- 25:12They did lose Aaron Jones, so like, you know, there was, there were some issues
- 25:16there, but the defense continues to carry the team.
- 25:19Yeah. Um, they're amazing. They're the most dominant defense
- 25:23I've seen. It's, it's a gorgeous defense. They're just fantastic. And there
- 25:27aren't— they're Unlike the Seahawks, who have an excellent defense, they're just not getting the
- 25:30offensive support in the same way. So to be able to continue to do this
- 25:33week in, week out against, you know, good opponents, bad opponents, whatever,
- 25:36is super impressive. And they killed the— they killed
- 25:40the Colts. They were the death blow to the Colts, who are now entering into
- 25:43a fire sale, just selling players left and right. Yes, they are
- 25:47just throwing— just throwing contenders at everybody in the NFC. They trade
- 25:51Quentin Nelson, who is by far one of the best offensive
- 25:55linemen in the league, has been for 8 years,
- 25:59been to a Pro Bowl every fucking year he's ever played, basically.
- 26:03And who they send to the Niners?
- 26:06Forrest Buckner. Yep. So they're just—
- 26:09who's getting into the Michael Taylor sweepstakes?
- 26:14The, the Jonathan Taylor. Jonathan Taylor sweepstakes. Oh my
- 26:19God. Imagine. I'm just saying, I think you have to keep Jonathan Taylor because you
- 26:24need somebody to hold, hold it down for whoever you go get for a quarterback.
- 26:25Maybe, maybe. But You got to at least keep Jonathan Taylor.
- 26:28I'm just saying, if they did, if they really want— if they want to replenish
- 26:32some picks, I mean, that's definitely a fucking way to do it. Really good haul
- 26:34for Jonathan Taylor, and you could— and you could send him to the Bengals.
- 26:39Oh, shit. I know. I wouldn't like
- 26:42that. I know. I wouldn't like that one bit. But I will say,
- 26:46just another— just another example of like, I, I,
- 26:51I do think that Brian Flores has like coached
- 26:55him himself into like essentially a spot where
- 27:00any other person on planet Earth wouldn't get hired after this season.
- 27:04Any other. So like, he's really putting it to the fucking NFL right
- 27:08now. It's pretty great. Yes, it's pretty great. Um,
- 27:12do you want to quickly touch on the fact that you were right about the
- 27:15Lions-Packers? I would like to touch on the fact that I was right about— do
- 27:18you like that I remembered it though? I A little. Yeah,
- 27:22a little. I'm not gonna lie to you, a little bit. But I did think
- 27:25they were gonna beat him. I thought this was gonna be more of like a
- 27:2710-point win. I thought this was like— I thought the Packers were gonna take a
- 27:30step backwards this weekend. Okay, they didn't do that. Um, it was a hard-fought game
- 27:33back and forth. A lot of mistakes coaching-wise. Dear God, what the hell was going
- 27:36on in that shit, dude? I don't know. Um, but at least— and you really
- 27:39gotta hand it to Gibbs. Gibbs really nearly blew his knee out to make
- 27:43sure that clock was still running. I know. Uh, that scared the living shit out
- 27:47of me. You saw that too, right? Oh dude, that Because I loved
- 27:51Jahmyr Gibbs. That was an inch away from tearing that knee up forever. So thank
- 27:54God he just fell down very awkwardly. Yeah, for once we didn't
- 27:59get the injury we thought we were gonna get. Yes, but yeah, they got,
- 28:01they got it done. Uh, they didn't beat the spread because the spread was 3.5
- 28:04points, so that was a bit of a bad beat on my end. Oh,
- 28:06did you bet on it? I didn't, but I, I did put like a gentleman's
- 28:09bet on it, and I don't like losing those either. All right,
- 28:12well, I won't tell anyone if, if you don't. I am a prideful man.
- 28:17Detroit continues to look like the most untrustworthy good
- 28:20team in the NFL. Yeah, like it's, it's like every game
- 28:24they win, I'm not surprised they won it by the way they played,
- 28:28but they try to lose stuff that like makes me be like, what the fuck?
- 28:31But then their offense is so good and there's— it's,
- 28:34it's like watching the— it's like watching someone that's really
- 28:38hammered like win a game of cornhole and
- 28:41because you know they're super talented and like they should just blow you out,
- 28:45but they like barely do it every time just because they have the clutch gene.
- 28:47Yes, they just have the clutch gene. This is not a team that can win
- 28:51a fucking— that I don't think they can make a championship game. They're too—
- 28:55but they just are gonna keep making it hard on other teams out of nowhere,
- 28:57and then in 2 weeks they'll get blown out by someone stupid. Yeah, and that's
- 29:01how they're gonna lose in January. That's just what's gonna fucking happen. They'll, they'll blow
- 29:05somebody out in the first game, then they'll get 1 game away from the fucking
- 29:08NFC Championship Game and they'll make the dumbest fucking mistakes and they'll fucking lose to
- 29:12the Bears because they fucking created a safety somehow
- 29:16because the center snapped when Jared Goff's back was turned somehow, right?
- 29:19And like, I just— I don't know, man. I know that that division's
- 29:23difficult. So like, the Vikings and the Bears are at the top of it.
- 29:25The Packers are 4-3. The Lions are— but they're just all fucking good.
- 29:29So it's crazy because you look at the Pack— the Packers have seemed
- 29:33worse than their record, but, but not lately. These last 3 weeks
- 29:37they've looked great, right? And so like Are they— I
- 29:40was starting to think maybe it might be time for Matt LaFleur, change, change of
- 29:44the guard there. You're not going to move on from Jordan Love. I mean,
- 29:46that's not that. So are we just going to keep doing this every single
- 29:50year with these teams? Because they're— if any of these teams are in any other
- 29:53division, I swear to God that like those coaches would be legends. But instead they
- 29:57have to fucking all fight each other. Fucking wild, isn't it? It is really the
- 30:01best division in football. And it has been. I know. For fucking—
- 30:04for a while now. But it's just funny how it's like generating no championships.
- 30:09Well, you know what? Caleb Williams, Michael Penix,
- 30:13NFC Championship Game, anybody? I mean, I'd fucking watch the shit out of
- 30:17that. Okay. The Rams beat the Las Vegas
- 30:21Raiders 35-21. Didn't even have a fucking pulse. This was a bad
- 30:24loss. They looked like shit. They looked like shit on every part of the game.
- 30:28Actually, the only thing that didn't look like shit was probably Kirk Cousins. Yeah.
- 30:31Um, running game didn't look too bad. I mean, it— there's
- 30:35a couple moments there where I was just like, this is just the Kirk Cousins
- 30:38experience. Yeah, just like— but it wasn't his fault. That defense is horrible. Here's what
- 30:41I don't like about Kirk is like, he does not like elevate.
- 30:46He will get you out of some stuff, like he'll do his job, but I've
- 30:50never watched Kirk Cousins elevate the game where I'm like, oh, this dude's taken
- 30:54over it and he's taken it over in some way. You can do that from
- 30:57the pocket. You don't have to be a dual threat or like whatever else.
- 31:00Kirk does not do that. He just goes and does his job.
- 31:03Well, you mentioned the clutch gene, like, right, he might not have the— he doesn't
- 31:07have that. And he also just doesn't— he doesn't have the energy to like— and
- 31:10he never has. Um, like, we had the moment back
- 31:14in the day with the Washington football team. You like that? And it was
- 31:18like, oh, this guy's like— and it's just like, he's really not that guy.
- 31:21He seems like a nice enough guy. It seems like his,
- 31:25his teammates get along with him, but He's just not going to get you where
- 31:28you need to go. Probably. I actually have a, uh, a theory what,
- 31:31what should happen. I honestly think if the Raiders were to drop this game this
- 31:34weekend against the Jets, I think the Raiders should then get
- 31:38ready to start Mendoza and they should trade Kirk Cousins.
- 31:42And I was thinking let him back up in Minnesota behind Kyler,
- 31:46knows the system. And if, if Kyler goes down due to an injury again,
- 31:49you have a guy that knows that system inside and out and he has a
- 31:52chance to play for a playoff team. You listen, Vikings fans can't handle it.
- 31:56They— if, if Kyler goes down and they lose in another
- 32:01playoffs after like winning the NFC North and it's Kirk Cousins again,
- 32:04they will all commit mass murder. Better than them throwing out Carson Wentz or
- 32:09whoever the fuck they got. I think they'd— I'm not— you think they'd rather Carson
- 32:12Wentz? I know Vikings fans, they have been pushed to the brink of insanity.
- 32:15Well, it is pretty tough, I will admit that, because like it's one thing to
- 32:19be bad, it's one thing to be a Browns fan. No, it's worse to be
- 32:21good and never ever do it. Winning the NFC North, being really good, having the
- 32:26the craziest playoff losses in like a minute. Yeah. And then ever— like,
- 32:30that drives you to a level of insanity that just sucking
- 32:33doesn't quite even reach. I agree. That's why I don't know how Bills fans are
- 32:37still here. So Minnesota Vikings fans are, are very,
- 32:41very weird. I don't think they could handle it. But I don't hate the suggestion
- 32:45on its face. As far as the Rams are concerned, um,
- 32:48they looked like— they looked fantastic. They looked really good.
- 32:51I was so pleased with the fact that the adjustments without
- 32:56their wide receivers looked the way that they did. You mentioned Corum. What a fucking
- 32:58game from Corum. What a game from Williams. Started running the fucking ball.
- 33:02Thank you. Good job, Sean. By the way, Matthew Stafford's been playing really well this
- 33:06year. He's just— he's been forced to throw the ball 50 fucking plus
- 33:09times. Forced? Forced like it's not his favorite thing in the world
- 33:13to fucking do? Okay, let me rephrase that. He got his dream fucking come true
- 33:17and he's just been jacking off all over the fucking field by throwing all these
- 33:20fucking hero throws. Yeah, but instead, I'm not going to call
- 33:24it conservative, I'm going to call it balanced. This was a really balanced game.
- 33:27He threw like 27 passes, he completed like 22 of them. What— and
- 33:30what did I tell you? What have I been telling you about— like, I mean,
- 33:33have I not been fucking hammering this home? You have been. Make him throw a
- 33:37little bit less, balance the offense out, give him a chance to actually like throw
- 33:42the ball when it's actually necessary and open things up.
- 33:45Like, this is the way your offense needs to look sometimes. I agree.
- 33:49Um, and it did do that so good. Now granted, I— listen,
- 33:53I'm a Raider fan. The one really bad thing about this, the defense isn't good.
- 33:56Defense is awful. They give up fucking 30 points a goddamn game. Yeah, but I
- 33:59will say the Rams just— they, they looked fucking
- 34:03phenomenal. That's the Rams team that I'm expecting to obviously do it against a better
- 34:07defense. You know what, you don't have to go up against the Seahawks or the—
- 34:10well, you're not going to see it this weekend because they're playing the Chargers,
- 34:13right? So they're going to destroy them. It's going to be a, um, bludgeoning.
- 34:16And we're still going to apparently be talking about every quarterback but Justin Justin Herbert
- 34:20after that one. It's not his fault. Um, so all right,
- 34:23well, let's never do it. Rams might be back in.
- 34:26They might be back in. Remains to be seen. Um,
- 34:30do you think that Jim Harbaugh goes up to, to like Justin Herbert like
- 34:34it's in Good Will Hunting and honestly just says, it's not your fault?
- 34:38Yes, it's not your fault. Until Justin eventually— it's not your fault,
- 34:41buddy. Yeah, he doesn't— he does a— he doesn't— he pats him on the ass,
- 34:44I think. Oh, I guess he had asked— turns around, just He seems like an
- 34:48ass patter. I can see that. Yeah, I was an ass patter in the dugout.
- 34:50Well, all baseball players are ass patters. Oh my God, you guys are so homoerotic.
- 34:54Well, that's, that's the weird thing is like most of them are all Christian.
- 34:57Like I was the one that was like, I'm very comfortable with my sexuality.
- 35:00Oh well, the MLB, because they have, they have all the Dominicans, they get— oh,
- 35:04they're very, they're very comfortable with it. They're very comfortable. Like it's, it's bothering me
- 35:07at all, all kinds of shit. So maybe the, maybe the, in the, um,
- 35:11in the lower tiers when, when you're playing down there with fewer
- 35:15non-whites. That is true. There's less ass patting.
- 35:18Maybe unless you're around, then you're patting asses. Dude, I'm patting asses. Okay. You played
- 35:22baseball with me. Your ass got touched consensually.
- 35:27If you're in that dugout, it's consensual. Yeah, I think you stepped
- 35:32onto Cody's world. You stepped into ass patting.
- 35:36So it's a— it's a— as soon as you get there, you're complying.
- 35:39Um, Seahawks-Chiefs suck.
- 35:43What the fuck happened? Bad. What the fuck? So here's
- 35:48the thing. This is what we need to talk about. Seattle's defense looked fantastic.
- 35:51Yes. Seattle also has 3 losses on the season. This is not like last night
- 35:55or on Sunday night. Um, Collinsworth was acting like
- 35:59it was, uh, it was the greatest defense we've ever seen.
- 36:03He was like, this is one of the— if this isn't the best defense in
- 36:05the league, then I don't know what is. First of all, they're fantastic. Yeah.
- 36:08Yeah, they're not the best defense in the league. We already know that.
- 36:11They have lost 3 games. This team has lost 3 games. That performance though.
- 36:15And so the, the fact
- 36:19that they looked like world beaters against the Chiefs is really
- 36:23concerning because all they had to do was one thing. All they had to do
- 36:27was stop K9. All they had to do was stop Kenneth Walker
- 36:31III. They did. And they did. And it all fell apart. It didn't
- 36:35just fall apart regular style. It didn't just fall apart like, uh, Patrick Mahomes throwing
- 36:38picks, things are— it fell apart. They did not get
- 36:42to the red zone. First time in Pat's career
- 36:45Patrick Mahomes couldn't get to the red zone. Couldn't believe it. So we're—
- 36:50this is, this is my question, like, do we—
- 36:53do the Chiefs have a Mahomes problem? No, come on,
- 36:58one loss? I've— no.
- 37:02No, I don't think they have a Mahomes problem, but I do think, I do
- 37:06think that they might have an Andy Reid problem. Really? Yeah. So Andy
- 37:09and, and Brett Veach build the team,
- 37:13and for years, much like Belichick,
- 37:17they have built a roster that they know that they can pick their spots,
- 37:21be a little bit cheap with, be like they can just plug and play,
- 37:23plug and play every year. New wide receivers, new running backs. You want to get
- 37:27paid, go elsewhere kind of stuff. And they rely on Mahomes to
- 37:30do the heavy lifting. Brady did it for years.
- 37:34Very much so. And then it starts
- 37:37to fall apart, right? Like that, that is going to eventually fall
- 37:41apart if your quarterback's having a down season or they're still getting
- 37:45their bearings after, you know, missing a large chunk of the season or whatever it
- 37:49might be. Mahomes is in now and through 6 games
- 37:53of post-surgery, you know, 6 games post-knee
- 37:58rehab. And so like something is off. I am
- 38:02very hesitant, as you are, to blame Patrick Mahomes.
- 38:05Same. Like, I don't think he's— I don't think he's playing well. Like, he's not
- 38:09been playing great this season. He has not played like Patrick Mahomes, but he's losing.
- 38:12But he's had moments. But he's had moments where he's shown himself. By the way,
- 38:15I don't give a fuck. Yeah. Him getting to the bottom of that scrum to
- 38:19recover was pretty badass, dude. When he ended up with him, this shit, when he
- 38:22was at the bottom, I was fucking blown away. How was he there? Because like
- 38:26everyone was there. That ball got kicked around like 14 fucking times.
- 38:30And he— and the thing about Patrick Mahomes that I've— it's— and I
- 38:33know that they tell quarterbacks not to do this. They don't want their quarterbacks hurt,
- 38:36whatever. But it's like, fucking sue me. When I can—
- 38:39when I see a guy that just doesn't— that has that
- 38:43motor, you will never see Patrick Mahomes throw
- 38:46a pick, fumble a ball, make a mistake and not
- 38:50do everything he can to help his team on the
- 38:54other side of that mistake. He does it every time. I've been watching it for
- 38:57years. I've been paying attention because I, I started noticing this years ago. I was
- 39:00like, he's the only motherfucker— he'll go and tackle, he'll go and he'll do anything,
- 39:03but he will not stand there. Anything else but putting
- 39:07yourself at the bottom of a scrum. I was blown away. It was pretty bad.
- 39:10It was crazy. It was pretty badass. Yeah. Unless he got hurt, in which it
- 39:12wouldn't have been badass, it would have been stupid. But this was better. But I
- 39:14still would have respected it and like, you know, whatever. I don't want to get
- 39:18hurt. He probably shouldn't do it, but I can't help but be like, it's like
- 39:21you. It's like you when you, when you You just see the white-hot flash of
- 39:24fucking fury. All of a sudden you're doing the fucking— that thing.
- 39:28I'm talking about in the show, not, not in life. That's not right. I apologize.
- 39:32He's like, she always does this. I apologize. I just meant just in the show.
- 39:36Oh my God, I realized that after the fact. I'm like, wait, that didn't sound
- 39:39right. Uh, yeah, you— I mean, you started conspiracy theories in the chat. No,
- 39:43no, no, no, no, sorry about that. Okay, so any other NFL thoughts?
- 39:48No, listen, I— the NFL has just been— it's been fun. I'm looking forward to
- 39:52Thursday night's game. I'm looking forward to just more football this fucking weekend. And you're
- 39:56gonna be watching it from New York City. I am. And I was thinking,
- 39:58I was like, what am I gonna do for Sunday? Like, I, I might have
- 40:01to just like— I'll send you spots if you want. What? I'll tell you where
- 40:03to go. No, no, I meant like, how am I gonna watch all the games?
- 40:07You know, do you have YouTube TV? But you know how I am.
- 40:10I know you. Oh, I know how you are. Yeah, I can't even hang out
- 40:14with you on Sundays. I know, it's bullshit. You came over here one Sunday,
- 40:18actually like chilled out and actually like had fun, almost relaxed,
- 40:21and you had fun. And then afterwards, as you were leaving, you said, and I
- 40:24quote, I will never do this again. And then like you fucking stormed
- 40:28off. I'm like, what the fuck? I'm so sorry. That was— it was,
- 40:32it was just like, it was just like, yeah, that was a great time,
- 40:34never again. Like, because the next day I was like,
- 40:38I don't know what happened. I couldn't— I'm so used to controlling my
- 40:41environment. And by the way, every game was on. Every game
- 40:45was— well, we were having streaming issues. Oh yeah, that day was particularly—
- 40:50we haven't had it since, but of course it happened on that fucking Sunday.
- 40:53Yeah, yeah. Um, but I am going to be in New York, and the good
- 40:56news is next, uh, Monday night's game is Seahawks-Bears,
- 40:59and that's going to be the game we do the watch party for. Okay.
- 41:03Out at this like cool spot. That's pretty sweet. In— you're gonna have a good
- 41:06time. Yeah, it's gonna be really, really fun. So I'm excited. I'm fired up for
- 41:09you on Uh, and then you're back what, Tuesday? Back on Wednesday.
- 41:13Wednesday. So we will be remote next Tuesday, but we'll be, we'll be back on
- 41:17Friday to discuss more. Yes, we will. She's gonna tell us all about the New
- 41:20York trip. Um, no, but, but we have our Friday show before I leave is
- 41:23what I'm saying. Oh yeah, no, no, we're not. We're working, we're working. We got
- 41:26stuff going on, we got stuff. Uh, headline number 2, Cody. Oh my God,
- 41:30we're back to headlines. Love that. Um, the WNBA Finals Game 6
- 41:34is gonna be at 12:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday.
- 41:40Okay, so we're gonna stay calm, we're gonna be reasonable,
- 41:44we're gonna be rational. There's enough people flipping out. There is a lot of
- 41:48people flipping out, and as they should. Yeah, no judgment. So like, let's try to—
- 41:51let's try to just come at this from the
- 41:55angle of 2 professionals in media and sports and
- 41:59discuss this The— on its merits. What the fuck,
- 42:03man? Okay, go ahead. The WNBA has confirmed that Game 6 will
- 42:07take place at State Farm Arena at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday,
- 42:11October 29th. The Hawks game against Cleveland is pushed to 8 p.m.
- 42:14Eastern. The Finals game retains its USA Network and Peacock
- 42:18broadcast.
- 42:22Should be noted that that's
- 42:269:30 in the morning. For Valkyrie fans. Just so we're all clear, I will be
- 42:31on the air in my morning drive time Los
- 42:35Angeles radio show, on the air for a full hour
- 42:39of this game. That's fucking—
- 42:44that's fucking crazy. That's somewhat— the Valkyrie,
- 42:48the Valkyrie could be winning a title while I'm
- 42:52making lunch on a work day.
- 42:56I'm just saying that's crazy. Listen, I'm, I'm not like as
- 43:00angry about it. I'm just looking around going like,
- 43:04like, how, how are we letting this happen?
- 43:09Like, there really isn't anything we can do.
- 43:12Like, I know there are TV deals and all yada yada yada, and of course
- 43:15stadiums being booked and everything, but like, we can't move to another day? We can't
- 43:20just— we can't figure fucking something out here?
- 43:24Of course we can, and of course they could have. And I think that that's—
- 43:27this is what makes me angry, is that the
- 43:30WNBA is not different than any other professional
- 43:34sports league. It is not. It does not operate any differently than any
- 43:38other professional sports league. This has never been an issue at
- 43:42all. Just call it a rain delay. Or here's an idea:
- 43:46congrats to the Hawks and Cavs You're playing at the Dreams
- 43:51Arena for 3,500 very lucky fans. Everybody else gets a
- 43:54refund. Everybody's fucking shit stays the same. No, we're not moving times
- 43:58around. Both of you can play on Thursday night at different
- 44:02times. And here we go. Like, this solution was right in
- 44:05front of them. Move one single regular season NBA
- 44:10game for your shitfuck NBA team that can't win anything, hasn't won anything since
- 44:14the fucking '70s or whatever. And then let your,
- 44:18let your champion women in the fucking finals play
- 44:23in State Farm. All you do is refund the, like,
- 44:26you know, 12,000 people that don't get to go to the, don't get to go
- 44:30to the Dream Arena and call it a day. Like, the, the loss at
- 44:34that point is so minimal when you're bringing in
- 44:37finals crowds at the same time
- 44:41that they're filling up the other arena for the Hawks game.
- 44:44It would be— the broadcast would be amazing. You could turn— the Hawks
- 44:49could turn that opportunity to play in such a small arena into something fun,
- 44:54do something fun for the fans. And instead, the lack of creativity, the lack of
- 44:58flexibility has just shown again that the, the WNBA
- 45:02itself doesn't give a fuck to make this stuff happen.
- 45:05Atlanta, both the Dream and the Hawks, don't care to make this happen.
- 45:09And the networks are just going along with it. The networks are
- 45:13really the ones who could be driving this. Does— you're telling me Peacock
- 45:17and USA Today are fine with their potential game-winning,
- 45:22with title-winning Game 6 being at 12:30 in the afternoon?
- 45:25I just— but here's the thing, like, there's nothing. I'm looking at
- 45:29the, the stadium schedule for the week. It's because
- 45:33they're back-to-back road games the day before. But there's no— there's nothing on Friday,
- 45:37October 30th. Like, the stadium's
- 45:41open, it says, right? There's nothing on Friday, October 30th.
- 45:46Tanya, there's nothing on Friday, October 30th.
- 45:49Tanya,
- 45:54there's nothing on Friday, October 30th. I imagine that this is
- 45:57a Game 7 situation where then the Golden State
- 46:01Warriors would have to work with the Valkyrie. But there's
- 46:06nothing— there's nothing— it's open on October 30th, right?
- 46:09But if they move it to October 30th, you'd now have to move Game 7.
- 46:14Fucking fine. I put it in— just get me in primetime. Don't put it at
- 46:189:00 a.m. I'm with you. Fucking— that makes a lot more sense
- 46:22because the Valkyrie and the Warriors have a much better relationship because they already share
- 46:25the fucking stadium. Yeah, so like, I don't know. That's a great point. I get
- 46:28this is a logistical fucking calamity. It doesn't have to
- 46:32be though. It doesn't have to be. That's the thing. It doesn't have to be.
- 46:34They don't give a fuck. This is the thing. At the end of the day,
- 46:36Cody, every single time something like this happens, everybody gives every other
- 46:40explanation other than these motherfuckers hate women. They hate women's sports.
- 46:43They don't fucking care. They don't invest in it. They don't do the logistics.
- 46:47We don't ever get the things that everybody else fucking gets. And then we get
- 46:50told we're crazy, gaslit to fucking hell about the fact that this is—
- 46:53oh, it just happens. No, it fucking doesn't. I have been watching sports my entire
- 46:57life. I've been doing it as a job my entire life. This does not happen.
- 47:00It does happen. I'll tell you where it happens. You ready? On season 5 of
- 47:04Shorzy, this is a comical situation that happens to Shorzy's team
- 47:08where they have to play a game in a different hockey rink at 6
- 47:11AM because they can't get the stadium for a certain set of
- 47:15hours. Granted, that is a show fictional in Northern
- 47:19Ontario, Canada about like a semi-pro
- 47:24hockey team. This is the WNBA Finals.
- 47:29I mean, there's nothing happening on Friday, October 30th.
- 47:32I'm just looking right here. Um, I'm really hoping whatever that is is lying
- 47:36to you. I'm really— I, I can't anymore. This is,
- 47:39excuse me, Google's finest super intelligence.
- 47:42Okay, well, don't say that. No, don't. No free ads, bro.
- 47:46Um, well, it's SI, you know, that's what we're calling it now, right?
- 47:49Um, so here's the thing. Because the Hawks play later that evening,
- 47:52there are concerns about how quickly the arena must be cleared and converted between games.
- 47:57So commentators have raised the possibility that a title celebration and postgame media availability would
- 48:01be rushed. That concern has become a symbol of the wider argument about whether the
- 48:04WNBA championship is receiving the resources and planning its growing audience
- 48:08warrants. No, the answer, Cody, is fucking no.
- 48:13This is the most viewed finals. This is the most
- 48:17hyped, most discussed finals since this league began.
- 48:21This league is supposed to be being invested in, and you Like,
- 48:25Cody, I really— I need you to like look me in the eyes when I
- 48:28say this. This league is at the height of its powers.
- 48:31Yes. They are potentially going to have a
- 48:35team win a title at brunch,
- 48:38shorten the celebration and the media availability
- 48:42so that the Hawks, the Atlanta Hawks,
- 48:46can play an October regular season game against
- 48:51the Cavaliers. That is fucking insane.
- 48:55It is fucking insane. Okay, I don't know what to say other than I told
- 48:59you we were going to be measured. We didn't have it in us, guys.
- 49:01No, no, I thought that was actually as measured as that fucking can be because
- 49:04this is just like— I just, I'm just looking at this because here's the truth.
- 49:08My only explanation is the same explanation you have. They just don't fucking care about
- 49:12women's sports. That's it. That's the only— oh, it's really the only explanation.
- 49:16I also have a conspiracy theory. Oh, I'm actually listening. I meant to, I meant
- 49:18to tell you this. So Adam Silver is looking for a new commissioner. Okay,
- 49:21this makes his current commissioner, who is stepping down at the end of the
- 49:25season, look really bad on the way out. Look really bad on the way out.
- 49:28It makes the league look ineffective. It makes the commissioner look ineffective.
- 49:31So in my mind, part of this is also Adam Silver
- 49:35thinking, if we can fuck up the NBA Finals at the height of the powers
- 49:38here— because I don't give a fuck about these women, I don't give a fuck
- 49:41about NBA players, let alone WNBA players— I can now I
- 49:45can now force in the commissioner that I really want and use this
- 49:49as leverage. Look how much they fucked this up. This league
- 49:53really needs structure. They really need leadership. And I've got the
- 49:57person for the job. And I— it's so conspiracy. Yes,
- 50:00that. But I do. I don't think it's crazy to think that he's, he's actually
- 50:05fucking with this entire process to force
- 50:08in whoever he wants at commissioner. So here's the thing. It's— I don't think it's
- 50:11that insane. Yeah. And if, by the way, if it it's not him specifically.
- 50:15Well, he's the one— he's the final say on the board. Well, you're probably— yes,
- 50:18you're probably right. It probably is him, or it's multiple people
- 50:22and he is helping the final say. Whatever this is,
- 50:26like, listen, the thing about this is this is just ungodly solvable. Like,
- 50:29that's the thing that's really just insane to me. The, the craziest thing is you
- 50:34cannot figure this out. You cannot. I'm sorry,
- 50:37that's just bullshit. It's just bullshit. It is bullshit, bullshit,
- 50:41bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit. Yep. Sorry. Bullshit,
- 50:44bullshit. What's not bullshit is the
- 50:48Brewers are— the Brewers
- 50:51are destroying. They are the Rays. So fucking good.
- 50:55By the way, I want to make this abundantly clear, and I said this on
- 50:57the air today. The Rays are an astonishingly good
- 51:02baseball team. Yeah. Like, what's happening shouldn't be able to be happening. Like,
- 51:05they are so good. Good. Like, this just should just prove to
- 51:09everyone that what they just did to the Dodgers and then the Padres beforehand
- 51:13is not like some sort of outlier and crazy thing and some failure on everybody's
- 51:17end. The Brewers are just fucking insane right
- 51:21now. Yeah, I've never seen games like this. I've never seen a team come back
- 51:25from 4 down and at no point did it
- 51:29feel like they were going to lose yesterday. Like, death by a
- 51:33thousand fucking cuts. 2-out singles galore. You know why
- 51:37the Dodgers didn't win? They didn't score any runs with runners in scoring position.
- 51:40They couldn't get a fucking hit. Yeah, they just got fucking 7 in a row
- 51:43with 2 outs yesterday in the 5th inning. Crazy.
- 51:47Like, this is crazy. Their bullpen, it's got like a 0.78
- 51:51ERA. That, that's, that's better than the Dodgers have
- 51:55ever done in October, like by a long shot.
- 51:59This is one of the most dominant performances I've ever seen
- 52:03in October. It's crazy how good they're playing. Crazy.
- 52:06Yeah, I saw it. I saw your segment because it was posted and I
- 52:10watched it and I couldn't agree more.
- 52:14This— I— we told everybody to watch this series, that it would be
- 52:18a great series. It's not great for the reasons we thought, but it's great in
- 52:22a totally different reason. I mean, we knew the Brewers were going to be amazing,
- 52:24but I didn't think they were going to sweep and they're going to— but to
- 52:26your point, like, Like, the Rays are just on
- 52:30the other end of historically insane
- 52:34shit. It cannot be overstated how wild it is what the
- 52:38Brewers are doing. Okay, so a couple of things I want to go through,
- 52:41some fun stuff, because, you know, I read this article
- 52:45that said the Brewers' 8-run explosion was an inning unlike any other in
- 52:48World Series history. So I went to the MLB kind
- 52:53of recap of what was going on in this game. In that 8-run 5th inning,
- 52:57the Brewers didn't just score 8 runs in the 5th inning. They tallied each of
- 53:01those runs with 2 outs. That's the most 2-run, the most 2-out
- 53:04runs in an inning in World Series history and the 2nd most
- 53:08in any postseason inning. Only the Dodgers scored more with 2 outs in an inning
- 53:12with 10 such runs in the first in Game 3 of the 2020 NLCS.
- 53:16So that's fucking nuts. Doing all that with 2 outs is so
- 53:20demoralizing. And that's That little part about it being with 2 outs,
- 53:24I think, is what like just the Rays just started falling
- 53:28apart. Oh dude, I will tell you as a guy, when you're, when you're on
- 53:31defense and you have 2 outs and it's a big moment and they, and they,
- 53:34they get a 2-out knock that scores a run, whether it's a tying run or
- 53:38go-ahead run, or God forbid a run that's like you're down by a run and
- 53:41they get that extra, like, it is just, it's fucking backbreaking when
- 53:44you're on defense. You, every guy in the field just fucking just feels it and
- 53:49It's— I don't know what to say. This Brewers team is
- 53:53just— it's like, you know what, I don't know how to say it. It's— this
- 53:56team is really young, and— but it's not that like they're playing young,
- 53:59but there's like— there's like— this is why Pat Murphy's so great with these guys.
- 54:03He, he has them playing like almost delusionally.
- 54:07And I, by the way, I mean this is like the highest possible compliment.
- 54:11It's like these guys don't know that what they're doing should
- 54:15not be happening. It's like not, not unnormal to them.
- 54:18That's— there's a few title teams that like come
- 54:22to mind in, in that way of being like, who the fuck do you think
- 54:26you are? Yeah, this is it. Like, and they're not always, you know, kids.
- 54:29The Brewers themselves have like had the record that they had
- 54:33in baseball. So like, it's not like they were an underdog team record-wise.
- 54:37Every, uh, every, uh, sports show just says, is Chandler Simpson's face
- 54:40okay after that Game 3 catch. Yeah, but it fucking was completely
- 54:44worthless. They lost by 10. Crazy. It was an amazing catch though. Holy shit.
- 54:48Um, but like, there's just some teams you watch where you're like, oh man,
- 54:52nobody's beating you. Like, this isn't— this isn't a— this
- 54:56isn't about who's good at baseball anymore. This is about— this is about something
- 55:00else. Yeah, dude. Like, this is crazy. And it might not— we not— might
- 55:04not be privy to what it's about. I don't fucking know. But this isn't about
- 55:07who is the most skilled baseball team anymore. Because yes, they are skilled,
- 55:10and yes, they probably could be, but like, it's— there's something else there. And I
- 55:14love series like that. I love title games like that. It's you, man. It's you.
- 55:18The, the— no, no, not youth. It's Yuke.
- 55:21Who? It's Bob Euker. Who's Bob
- 55:25Euker? Tanya. Who's Bob Euker?
- 55:30Tanya. Tanya, we might have to end the stream. This is gonna— this is—
- 55:34I don't want to do this. Just fucking tell me. Bob Euker is the longtime
- 55:37announcer Oh, that guy? No, no, no, he's not just an announcer.
- 55:40He's up there with Vin Scully. Bob Uecker is in the WWE Hall
- 55:44of Fame. Oh no, I don't know who you're talking about. Yes you do,
- 55:47he's the announcer from Major League. I don't care. Just a
- 55:51bit outside, tried the corner, missed. The funniest man ever.
- 55:56Like, he used to be the, the spokesperson for Miller Lite. He was a star
- 56:00of the TV show Mr. Belvedere. I say Bob Uecker quotes all the time
- 56:04without knowing it, without knowing it, quoting Bob Uecker. Major League— Bob
- 56:08Uecker passed away, uh, last year. And, you know, of course, an absolute fucking
- 56:11legend, well known as being the funniest man that's ever been in any room he's
- 56:15ever been in, tells the greatest, funniest fucking stories. Artie Lange
- 56:18and Norm MacDonald used to tell fucking the funniest stories about Bob Uecker.
- 56:23Every interview he's ever given is the funniest. Bob Uecker, uh, gave a
- 56:26speech at the Hall of Fame that I thought was so funny, but it was
- 56:29also— I— yeah, it was also depressing for me. Though. You have to understand,
- 56:32Bob Euchre— I don't want this to turn into a Bob Euchre segment. I'm bored.
- 56:36I'm so sorry, I don't need the Bob Euchre history.
- 56:40I can't. I simply can't. Tanya, it's in the chat. Tanya, Tanya shouting.
- 56:44Tanya, she— I— the people want
- 56:48Bob Euchre stories. No, but you're not gonna get them now.
- 56:52Tanya, fucking shut it down. The thing about Bob Euchre is,
- 56:56um, This happens to me a lot and it actually becomes like really
- 57:00embarrassing. I don't remember people's names. That's fine. So like, I genuinely will
- 57:04be like, oh yeah, no, I do. Also, like, if you're not like a— if
- 57:07you're not— no, here's the actual truth. And like, apologies,
- 57:10Brewers fans, don't take offense to this. If you aren't like a Brewers fan or
- 57:13like a more like a daily baseball viewer, there's a good chance you don't know
- 57:16that Bob Uecker was specifically the Brewers guy. I think that's maybe
- 57:21part of it. But like, also, I also like— it's just one of those things
- 57:24where it's like you say a name and you have to like tell me who
- 57:26they are to like like to get it into my head unless, unless they are
- 57:30like a part of obviously something that I'm regularly watching.
- 57:33But you do cool— I don't forget like Troy Aikman's name, but like, no,
- 57:36you know, it's like— but like, no, like, but Bobby, I will say like,
- 57:39but he did pass away and like, it's like they've been doing it for Uke
- 57:42this year a little bit and like Murph's been like reading. You keep saying Uke
- 57:46and like, there's a different Uke in my life. Like you're saying Uke. Who is
- 57:49your Uke? Kevin Eucalus. Oh no,
- 57:53come on. I'm just telling you Kevin, you are
- 57:56so close to it. I understand that. I know.
- 57:59But like you're saying, you can— I'm like, why is he talking about Kevin Lee
- 58:03Uglis? And by the way, Isaiah just said you just crushed that man's
- 58:07dreams shutting down my Ugher stories. See, so here's the thing.
- 58:10Here's the thing is that at the end of the day, yes, I'm,
- 58:15I'm on a power trip on the show.
- 58:19No, no, I want to see what I can get away with. Here's the truth.
- 58:22Like earlier today, I accused her of getting soft and now she's trying to reclaim—
- 58:26I, I actually do think it got in my head a little bit,
- 58:30but at the end of the day, also, your edges— I did not
- 58:34know how long that was going to go on, bitch. Your edges are sharper than
- 58:35ever and it could have gone on hours.
- 58:40And now, like, the empathetic part of my, like,
- 58:43heart is like, why did you shut Cody up? Like, you're such an asshole.
- 58:47And now you are. And you know what? I'm hoping other people will tell you
- 58:50that. I hope people come in the comments and just go to town on her.
- 58:52Defend me. White knight for me. I need it. Go to town on me?
- 58:57I will admit my phrasing today has not
- 59:01been my best. I'm really having a— I'm on the fucking struggle bus
- 59:04today. I'm not gonna lie, Cody. Please no one go to town on Tanya.
- 59:09No, someone can. I would love if someone— Just
- 59:18not everyone. Just not everyone. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um,
- 59:21no, but I, it's— I should, I should be clear. I should
- 59:24be clear that that actually was actually kind of
- 59:28mean. And I do like when you talk about baseball.
- 59:32I just have so much more to talk about with this actual World Series,
- 59:36and I really wanted to get to it, and I didn't know we were gonna
- 59:40go on a Bob Uecker side rant. We're not going on one. We're gonna talk
- 59:43about the World Series. The Brewers are Okay, I'm going to pay for
- 59:47this. I'm going to have nightmares about what I just did. Okay. You're going to
- 59:51wake up tomorrow morning more refreshed than you've ever felt.
- 59:53Yeah, Cody in his fucking place. No.
- 59:57Okay, so Jackson Churio is making World Series history too, and I just, like,
- 1:00:01really love this motherfucker. So, dude, he's so great. William Contreras is my favorite player,
- 1:00:05like, ever now. Yes. Yes. So Churio went 4 for 5 in Game 3,
- 1:00:09became the youngest player with a 4-hit World Series game since Joe Garagiola.
- 1:00:16I don't know that fucking name. Okay, cool. In 1946,
- 1:00:20he also— where the fuck would I know that?
- 1:00:221946? Jesus Christ. I know,
- 1:00:25back in the— right after the Second Great War.
- 1:00:28Joe Garagiola. Joe Garagiola, as you all know. Okay, so we both have
- 1:00:32people we don't know. They called— just kidding, I'm just kidding. They called him— he
- 1:00:36also became the youngest player to See, this is off the rails because
- 1:00:40of this, because you— because your goddamn side— oh, because of
- 1:00:43my Bob Uecker thing, I should have known Joe fucking
- 1:00:47Garagiola from 1940.
- 1:00:50Garagiola, because everyone knows fucking old Garagi.
- 1:00:54That's what they called him. He's the youngest player to record multiple hits in each
- 1:00:58game of the first 3 games of the World Series. He was also the finest
- 1:01:01mechanic that Southern Ohio ever saw. By the way,
- 1:01:04Jacob Mazrowski, uh, in Game 1, his, uh,
- 1:01:07103.5 mile per hour fastball is the fastest pitch
- 1:01:11ever recorded in the World Series. Um, the Brewers winning streak
- 1:01:15currently is at 8 games. Your mom just commented, we know
- 1:01:19Joe. No, you do not. No, no, her, her boyfriend
- 1:01:23is like a— like, he, he's like a— retains
- 1:01:27this old stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if he knew who Joe Garagiola was,
- 1:01:31but He's, you know, a boomer age. So like, he— that
- 1:01:34would be someone that like his dad would have told him about. You know what
- 1:01:37I'm saying? Old war stories. Brewers, 8 games won,
- 1:01:42is tied for the most in a single
- 1:01:46season, 8 games in a row, the winning streak. The other teams to do this
- 1:01:49within one postseason are the 2004 Red Sox, the 2005 White Sox,
- 1:01:53the 2014 Royals, and the 2019 Nationals. A Game 4
- 1:01:58win would give Milwaukee the outright record for most consecutive games won
- 1:02:02in an MLB postseason. And any time you have a record like that in the
- 1:02:05MLB, because it's been around for so long, it is fucking insane. And I will
- 1:02:09admit there are more playoff games played now than there were back then, but fucking
- 1:02:12shut up. We know, dude. It's insane. This is domination.
- 1:02:16It's pure, unadulterated domination. We have a graphic. Can I play the graphic? Do the
- 1:02:19graphic, because this is my guy. Our 2 guys that we love, Jackson Churrio and
- 1:02:23William Contreras, are the first pair of teammates to have 2+ hits in 3 straight
- 1:02:27World Season— I'm sorry, World Series games while their team wins
- 1:02:31each one. The only players to do this in 4 straight games, all wins,
- 1:02:34in World Series are Johnny Bench, Lou Gehrig, and Babe Ruth.
- 1:02:38That, that is— those are 3, like, that's a fucking sentence that
- 1:02:42should be said. That's a murderer's row. If they were to do that,
- 1:02:46like, that's crazy shit. 2 players crazy to do what Lou Gehrig,
- 1:02:49Johnny Bench, and Babe Ruth have only done. If they both
- 1:02:54do it again? That's not even a thing that should be able to happen,
- 1:02:56Cody. Like, that's not actually a thing that should happen. So,
- 1:03:00um, at this point we got to be rooting for the Brewers to sweep because—
- 1:03:03oh, absolutely. Just like for the story. No, no, for the story. No, like,
- 1:03:06I'm rooting for the Brewers hardcore right now. And actually,
- 1:03:09it's— or talk to me. Oh, you want— you want insanity? Or we
- 1:03:12get to Game 7. Oh, I wouldn't be mad. No, of course not. Of course
- 1:03:16I wouldn't be mad. It might actually— like, you never know, maybe it's that thing
- 1:03:18that can kind of catch fire, word of mouth, and maybe like Game 7
- 1:03:21ratings kind of spike type of shit. You never know. I mean, and then
- 1:03:25I could do my— I, I could, but I'm not willing. I'm not inclined to
- 1:03:28believe that. I, I think the fucking stick a fork in the Rays. I think
- 1:03:31the Brewers have broken the Rays. Like, yesterday was just insane.
- 1:03:34That fucking 5th inning was insane. Great moments
- 1:03:39are born from great opportunity. I'm sick and tired
- 1:03:43of hearing how good the fucking Brewers are.
- 1:03:46That's what we have here. Tonight, boys. Screw them.
- 1:03:50It is our time right here in Tampa.
- 1:03:54Oh my God. Okay, um, we did
- 1:03:58it. We did all the headlines. We're off to Media Corner where things get even
- 1:04:01weirder. This is just shows off the rails as it is. It's not gonna get
- 1:04:05any more normal. Uh, this is the most insane fucking thing
- 1:04:09ever said on television. Guys, it's time to make fun of Dan Orlovsky. If this
- 1:04:13was— if this This was something that was in my brain. If I
- 1:04:17did not know this, I cannot stress this enough,
- 1:04:22there is no universe— I would go to the grave
- 1:04:26saying this, let alone on TV. So in a way, I'm kind of impressed in
- 1:04:29Dan Orlowski by starting this off with this eureka
- 1:04:34moment that he thought he was about to teach not only Pat McAfee and his
- 1:04:37guys, but the world. About mathematics
- 1:04:42and what we do and do not know. So yeah,
- 1:04:46let's— what we're— I'm going to lead you into what happened here. Wow.
- 1:04:50So Dan Orlovsky is on Pat McAfee's
- 1:04:53podcast and he's trying to tell a fun anecdote and he says,
- 1:04:57hand to God, true story, do you guys know what percent— like the word percent
- 1:05:02is derived from? How come it's percent? So this
- 1:05:07morning this guy was like, Joe Burrow, his sack rate is 4%. And I
- 1:05:11said, dumb this down for me. No human's going to hear me say that and
- 1:05:14I'm going to make them smart. And he goes, well, what do you mean?
- 1:05:18I said, what does that actually mean? He goes, out of
- 1:05:21every 100 dropbacks, he's getting sacked 4 times. And I said,
- 1:05:25is that really what it is? It's always out of 100.
- 1:05:29Now we are going to play you the reaction from the
- 1:05:33geniuses Pat McAfee and his crew after Dan Orlovsky
- 1:06:35I thought you— because 2 of 3 is 66%. You know what's bad?
- 1:06:38You know what's bad? When Pat McAfee and his sidekicks
- 1:06:43are so blown away by what you're saying, at the stupidity of what
- 1:06:46you're saying, that they are almost speechless. Like,
- 1:06:49they're like, You, dude, you can't actually be saying what you're saying. And to
- 1:06:53your point, you kind of like led me into the exact thing I have a
- 1:06:56problem with right before we played the clip, which is like,
- 1:07:00this is— this isn't just that he got it wrong, right?
- 1:07:03Like, this isn't just— we all get stuff wrong.
- 1:07:07We don't know. Yes, we do. We misspeak. We make mistakes. We don't know who
- 1:07:10Bob Eucker is sometimes. Fucking— I didn't know who Joe
- 1:07:14Garagioli was. No, no,
- 1:07:16but But the arrogance to
- 1:07:20be like, I'm about to teach you
- 1:07:24guys something crazy, because the idea that he didn't know it,
- 1:07:28so no one knew it, is the part that is blowing
- 1:07:32my mind. Did you know that the word dumb had a B in it?
- 1:07:35No one knows that really. No one knows.
- 1:07:39That's what the president learned recently, that no one knows that the
- 1:07:43word Please tell me, please tell me you know this.
- 1:07:47So he's been calling— I never see politics. Oh, he's been calling Democrats dumbocrats.
- 1:07:51And he's been saying not a lot of— and he's been saying, and I'm not
- 1:07:53saying he said this once or twice, he said this now in the dozens of
- 1:07:56times. This is a go-to thing because he has dementia. So that dumb has the
- 1:08:00letter B in it and no one really knows that. So what he's done is
- 1:08:03taken the B out and made it dumbocrats.
- 1:08:07Took him 8 years to do this. He has told this story in the dozens
- 1:08:11of times now, Tanya. That is exactly what Dan Orlovsky
- 1:08:14just did. That's exactly what he just did. That is exactly what Dan
- 1:08:18Orlovsky just did. He thinks he was like the— it is actually astounding
- 1:08:22how much overconfidence you have to have to be like,
- 1:08:26if I didn't know this, this has to be an NFL researcher thing.
- 1:08:30Nobody else is going to know this either. And like, I again,
- 1:08:35Come on. You have to have— this is a guy who tells us which
- 1:08:39quarterback should be fucking— he gives you stats.
- 1:08:43He breaks down stats. He doesn't know what a percentage
- 1:08:48is. What has he been talking about this entire time? What does he think a
- 1:08:50batting average is? What does he think when he hears that
- 1:08:54somebody shot 55% from the field in an NBA game?
- 1:08:58What does he think that means?
- 1:09:02I don't know. I actually— I'm not gonna lie, I think he still thinks
- 1:09:06that you can only get to a percent once it's happened 100
- 1:09:10times. Like, I don't think he actually fully— he said
- 1:09:142 out of 3 is 66%. No, no, no, that was— that
- 1:09:18was the other guy trying to explain it. He was saying like 2 out of
- 1:09:213 is like 66%, but it all breaks down to 100. Yes, but he— but
- 1:09:24he— I— but like, he was also saying, couldn't it be other numbers as well?
- 1:09:28Like Well, because he doesn't— he still doesn't understand what
- 1:09:32a percentage is, what ratios are. Oh my God. So like, I still think he
- 1:09:35thinks that we can't get a percentage of something until
- 1:09:39it's happened 100 times because it— like, he genuinely
- 1:09:44is that goofy. Now, I'm not a— I
- 1:09:48don't want to be like ableist here. You actually don't need to understand percents
- 1:09:52or ratios, but what you do need to understand is percents
- 1:09:57when you cover sports that use that exact idea, metric, the entire mathematical
- 1:10:01fucking— the way that we calculate this shit is how
- 1:10:05we figure it out, and then you go on air and talk about it.
- 1:10:07So when we read his little rankings of traits,
- 1:10:11remember when we did his little trait ranking? Oh boy, yeah, for that one.
- 1:10:14Yeah, I didn't, I didn't like, I didn't like the title of that. No wonder
- 1:10:18they were so fucked up. It wasn't— you know what,
- 1:10:21maybe it wasn't just racism. Yeah, he's just like
- 1:10:26Maybe it was backwards. It was racism and also, yeah, dyslexia. I don't fucking— what's
- 1:10:30happening? I don't know. That is some bad— but I just realized that I know
- 1:10:33who Dan Orlovsky is in my math class because listen, I was never great at
- 1:10:36math. I'm not gonna sit here pretend I was a fucking good math student.
- 1:10:39Fucking hate math. Hate it. I can understand stats and break down stats. It's very
- 1:10:42easy for me. But like rudimentary math is the fucking
- 1:10:46worst thing in the world to me. But I did have one class once that
- 1:10:49I'll never forget. It was algebra. And I'll never forget this algebra class I took
- 1:10:51in high school, mind you, freshman year, but in high
- 1:10:55school, you should know, like, when you see 6
- 1:10:59times x equals this. I had
- 1:11:03a classmate stand up and raise their hand and be like, how can x
- 1:11:07be that? That's a letter.
- 1:11:11That's Dan Orlowski now.
- 1:11:15I cannot get over the fact that Pat McAfee
- 1:11:19and his gang of goons, by the way, were so like— Pat,
- 1:11:22Pat, you're holding on the ground.
- 1:11:25Him holding his shit together, because I honestly barely—
- 1:11:29I like it. I did as best as a person could. There was— they were
- 1:11:31on like— they were, by the way, up in like a suite thing. I thought
- 1:11:35Pat like was gonna grab him and throw him out the fucking
- 1:11:38window. Like, that's how I can't— that's how much restraint I'm actually
- 1:11:41impressed by. Pat was like, I'm supposed to be the fucking dumb frat bro.
- 1:11:45I'm the dumb frat bro. You're supposed to be the— like, it is astounding
- 1:11:50to know that you're right about someone and have them prove it to you so
- 1:11:53often, all the time. Also arrogantly so. Just confidently.
- 1:11:58You guys want to learn something I learned the other day? Just standing there fucking
- 1:12:016'5 looking like the biggest dumbass on the planet, and I just— oh
- 1:12:06my God. You know what I found out? You can actually piss outside
- 1:12:09of your pants. And by the way, I would— there's a zipper. Do you know
- 1:12:13it goes goes down. I would like to— episode Cider Band— I would like it
- 1:12:16to be clear that I would never make fun of someone for like, for this
- 1:12:21if they weren't the arrogant virtue
- 1:12:25signaling dog whistling shit that he
- 1:12:29is. Like, I actually don't take a ton of joy in like
- 1:12:33watching someone be like, like misunderstand something or like get embarrassed. Like, I hate secondhand
- 1:12:37embarrassment. It actually does doesn't usually work for me. Like, Chris literally
- 1:12:41knows not to like show me something that might give me secondhand embarrassment for somebody
- 1:12:45else because I hate it. I don't like pranks. So I can't watch a ton
- 1:12:47of Curb? Yeah, I don't like pranks. I don't like— yeah, it's 100%. So like,
- 1:12:51the only reason that I had— that we had to talk about this is
- 1:12:55because he is such an arrogant,
- 1:12:58dog-whistling, virtue-signaling asshole. Tanya, did you know
- 1:13:02that your teeth— and I didn't know, I— not many
- 1:13:06people know this, okay, but your teeth can actually be used as a tool to
- 1:13:10chew food. You don't actually have to just put the food in your mouth and
- 1:13:14then swallow it in, in long pieces or gigantic chunks.
- 1:13:17You don't have to choke on it. You can actually do stuff to stop yourself
- 1:13:21from choking. You can use these to actually chop up the food as if
- 1:13:25you were using a knife and fork. Oh my God. In your mouth.
- 1:13:29Wow. I'm so glad I didn't know this. Not a lot of people know that.
- 1:13:33Wow. Only like 40% of the people know
- 1:13:37that, and of course that's out of 80.
- 1:13:39Um, okay,
- 1:13:42I think we've done, we've done enough roasting of that white man. Let's roast another
- 1:13:47white man. Let's do that.
- 1:13:51Um, Colin Coward is saying some weird shit
- 1:13:54about Lamar. He says he's— so Colin got on television
- 1:13:58and said He's done with Lamar. Let's take a
- 1:14:02look at what he said, Cody. Oh God, I'm so glad he's done.
- 1:14:36Okay, okay, listen,
- 1:14:39um, I will say one thing before you get into
- 1:14:43what you're gonna say. I want to recap what else he said for
- 1:14:47the rest of this segment. You're right, so the rest of his points, he He
- 1:14:52compares Lamar's mom to Kawhi's Uncle Dennis. Jesus.
- 1:14:56He, he talks about how he's missed 19 games since 2021, of course,
- 1:14:59and talks about the reported— the reporting from
- 1:15:04Tracy Wolfson around Lamar's availability, saying the team was shocked
- 1:15:08that he's not going to be available. He says Lamar is great but doesn't like
- 1:15:12mystery. He doesn't like the mystery and noise around it. I like to— I like
- 1:15:15predictable and low maintenance, he said about his quarterback.
- 1:15:18Weird thing to say. I think he's a good kid, but maybe there's a lack
- 1:15:21of trust between him and the team, and he maybe doesn't trust because he's in
- 1:15:25court in negotiations.
- 1:15:28And then, you know, sort of makes this point about the
- 1:15:32idea that, like, the noise— his whole, his whole take is based around
- 1:15:37the idea that the, that the, that there's drama with Lamar,
- 1:15:41and it's predicated in some way, shape, or form
- 1:15:45on his mom, his injury,
- 1:15:49like his lack of availability, and maybe not rushing himself
- 1:15:53back because he's in a contract year. Now, none of
- 1:15:57this has been reported. No, this is all
- 1:16:00conjecture. It's a lot of conjecture. It's all complete conjecture.
- 1:16:05There is nothing that has been reported on this. A lot.
- 1:16:08I would like— and again, right, I'm going to finish this
- 1:16:12up and then I promise I'm going to be done. This is what he has
- 1:16:14said about Justin Herbert publicly since October
- 1:16:2013th. Herbert is taking too much
- 1:16:24punishment. Cowherd highlighted how frequently Herbert has been sacked.
- 1:16:28The Chargers offensive line is a central problem. The offensive system
- 1:16:32isn't working. Los Angeles needs more playmakers. He is not convinced
- 1:16:36Herbert should be traded. So 2
- 1:16:40different situations. Herbert is healthy. Obviously Lamar is dealing with injury.
- 1:16:45Yes. But Cody. Yeah.
- 1:16:49What are— what the fuck? Yeah.
- 1:16:53What the fuck are we talking about anymore? Because what this is, this is the
- 1:16:56maddening thing. And if you, if you have pattern recognition, which you and I both
- 1:16:59do, and it can be a very enraging thing to have because what happens is
- 1:17:03you start to you feel gaslit because you feel like you're noticing things and,
- 1:17:08and when everybody else around you isn't, or you have people like this saying stuff
- 1:17:11like this, it makes you feel crazy. I'm sitting here thinking,
- 1:17:15so we have all of these rumors, we have, we have stuff that's
- 1:17:19just, it's just rumored, that's it. And then there's conjecture
- 1:17:23from that, and then the conjecture builds from the conjecture, and the conjecture, the original
- 1:17:27conjectures just started from being, from you being like like, I don't know,
- 1:17:31man. Lamar just rubs me the wrong way, which is starting from a level
- 1:17:35of bias and a level of the stuff that we've all talked about before.
- 1:17:38Can I also bring up another thing that he said? Because it's in the chat,
- 1:17:40because I agree, because it caught my eye— ear as well. He actually— this is
- 1:17:44that he's a good kid. He's a fucking adult man. He's been in the NFL
- 1:17:47for a long time now. Like, dude, enough of the good kid shit. Like,
- 1:17:51it's fucking weird. I mean, I will— in Colin's defense, which I'm very
- 1:17:54rarely gonna do, he He says that about everybody. No, by the way,
- 1:17:58I'm not saying that like there was like any type of racist epithet about it.
- 1:18:01It's just more like— I mean, and it might be. I'm just, I'm just— it's
- 1:18:04just like that he does speak that way about these quarterbacks.
- 1:18:07That's weird. Don't do that. They're all grown men. Wouldn't— yeah, they're all grown men.
- 1:18:10And he does. And like the, the sort of like
- 1:18:16turning these athletes into He
- 1:18:22likes— what Colin likes to do is he likes to, he likes to latch on
- 1:18:25to an idea and like kind of flesh it out from
- 1:18:29a, like, a new perspective. Yeah, but this is playing telephone with himself.
- 1:18:33That's exactly what's happening, is he has circled so far around
- 1:18:37that he's like lost the plot on a take that's interesting about Lamar Jackson.
- 1:18:40He's tried— he's now trying way too hard, and on top
- 1:18:44of it, he's taking in the Like, so, okay, Tracy Wolfson
- 1:18:48says the team was surprised to hear that.
- 1:18:51They were all in shock that he wasn't going to be available.
- 1:18:55He then draws from that there's no reason he
- 1:18:59shouldn't have been available. No, no, no, that's not what was said.
- 1:19:03You just— she said they were shocked that he's not available because
- 1:19:07they were led to believe he might be. That does not mean that Lamar is
- 1:19:11sitting on his ass with a healthy ankle fucking his team over.
- 1:19:16But that's what Colin is insinuating. Make no mistake,
- 1:19:19that's kind of what he's insinuating. But he doesn't want to fully say that because
- 1:19:22he likes Lamar and he knows what it's gonna fucking sound like. But the reality
- 1:19:25is that they don't do this to anybody else. Do you know how many games
- 1:19:30Joe Burrow has missed since 2021? Oh, a whole bunch. More than
- 1:19:33Lamar. Um, he has missed more games than Lamar since 2021,
- 1:19:37and that was before this season started. He is— he has missed a ton of
- 1:19:41games. Like, let's be really fucking— let's be
- 1:19:44honest here. This reaction to a 2-time MVP
- 1:19:48dealing with an ankle injury is fucking weird. No,
- 1:19:52I agree with you. But it's also— how do
- 1:19:56I put this? It just— it's, it's kind of infuriating
- 1:20:00around Lamar because, like, I feel like there are questions. I have questions about
- 1:20:04that specific type of retort. My follow-up question Okay, but why were
- 1:20:08they shocked? That's a question I just want to be answered. Explain.
- 1:20:11Expound on that. Why were they shocked? Were they shocked because they thought he was
- 1:20:14healthy? Were they shocked because the injury is worse than we thought?
- 1:20:18That's just a very specific wording. Why were they shocked? Is there a miscommunication
- 1:20:22happening? Let us know that. But that's about as far
- 1:20:25as my conspiracy hat goes. I just have a couple extra questions
- 1:20:29on the wording of the word shocked. Yeah, well, but that's about
- 1:20:33it. Well, that, that's also like The questions aren't accusatory.
- 1:20:37I would imagine that the, that the shock is that he, that he
- 1:20:41was feeling like he had practiced a little, he was feeling good, and the,
- 1:20:44and the doctors still aren't clearing him or whatever else. Also,
- 1:20:47I'm sorry, but like Tracy Wolfson as a sideline reporter,
- 1:20:52she talked to a couple players, or maybe a player,
- 1:20:55like getting the pulse in an entire fucking locker
- 1:20:59room. Yeah. Did you talk to one player who was shocked because he's the idiot
- 1:21:01on the team? Like, I, like, I hate how everything is just always
- 1:21:06Lamar does nothing. Does it— does it— do you— when
- 1:21:10you watch Lamar cheer on Tyler Huntley, does that look like a dude who's clocked
- 1:21:14out and doesn't give a fuck about his team? No. Why don't we do this
- 1:21:17to him? I am so— I know, I know, Cody, I know. And it,
- 1:21:21like, it just— it literally makes me want to cry. It makes me want
- 1:21:24to cry. It's bullshit. He is— he, he has done everything a fucking
- 1:21:29quarterback can possibly do to prove himself.
- 1:21:32He has one of the best passer ratings in the history of the NFL while
- 1:21:35being the greatest fucking dynamic rusher that we have seen in a generation.
- 1:21:40He has 2 fucking MVPs. He never
- 1:21:44says anything about anybody. He takes responsibility.
- 1:21:48He is a leader. He has dealt with fucking bullshit after
- 1:21:51bullshit. He has dealt with racism and microaggressions since he was in college.
- 1:21:55He should have been drafted fucking first overall. That motherfucker was the most
- 1:21:59pro-ready quarterback coming out of college with a goddamn Heisman.
- 1:22:02And he took it on the chin. He takes it on the chin. He takes
- 1:22:05it on the chin. And now here we are with Colin Cowherd telling him he's
- 1:22:08a good kid, saying— comparing his mother being his agent
- 1:22:12to a criminal. Fuck this, dude.
- 1:22:17I am so over it.
- 1:22:21He doesn't deserve this shit. And there's a bunch of little kids,
- 1:22:25there's a bunch of like young men watching this
- 1:22:29man get treated like this and absorbing this and thinking it's totally okay
- 1:22:33and normal to speak about these players this way. The truth is,
- 1:22:36it's just at this point, it's just weird. That's it. It's just bizarre.
- 1:22:40It just doesn't make sense. You are fishing for anything to say
- 1:22:44about Lamar. And that's the thing that I, that I, I said in And it's
- 1:22:47what it is. It's, it's like he's taken the, the, the, like, the crumb
- 1:22:51that has been given to him and now he's expanded on it. And like
- 1:22:55you said, full circle. Like I said, it's him playing telephone with himself, not with
- 1:22:58anyone else. He's taken his own thing, started a rant,
- 1:23:02taken his last rant, fucking expounded on what his last rant
- 1:23:06was. And you're like, do you care? And now he's taken that rant and now
- 1:23:08he's morphed this into a fucking brand new insane The
- 1:23:12crazy part is he likes Lamar. He,
- 1:23:15he was always someone who defended Lamar, and he
- 1:23:19is now, because of the tides of this ever-increasing white
- 1:23:24supremacist, super conservative,
- 1:23:26MAGA-adjacent sports media getting worse and worse,
- 1:23:29he's drifted into this fucking space. I'm so deeply
- 1:23:33disappointed and disgusted by it. And the reality is you are
- 1:23:37fishing for shit around Lamar. While everybody—
- 1:23:42Joe Burrow's been injured more than Lamar. Yes. You haven't said shit. Justin Herbert is
- 1:23:45quite literally looks like he might not be able to be a fucking starting
- 1:23:50NFL player. You're defending him. Josh Allen,
- 1:23:53ups and downs. Is this the year? How long does he— how long does
- 1:23:57he get to pass until he makes a Super Bowl? No, no, no. You're out
- 1:23:59on Josh Allen. You're sorry. You're out on Lamar, though. You're out on Lamar.
- 1:24:03Drake Maye and Caleb Williams, young players you could be talking about. You're out on
- 1:24:07Lamar. Jordan Love struggling, you're out on Lamar. Can I
- 1:24:10also point out, like, Baker Mayfield comes back, that's Bucky Irving carrying
- 1:24:14him. We don't talk about that. That used to be your guy. We're not talking
- 1:24:17about that anymore. Well, like, my bigger
- 1:24:21issue on top of this actually is also, didn't we just
- 1:24:24kind of like— didn't we just do Jalen Hurts?
- 1:24:28What do you mean? We, we just watched a guy go on and accuse Jalen
- 1:24:32Hurts of Faking it. Didn't we just do this a fucking
- 1:24:35week ago? Thank you. Thank you. We did this a week ago. Now, I'm not
- 1:24:39saying Lamar has fucking blood clots. Goddamn it. No, but it's the same fucking thing.
- 1:24:42But like, didn't we do this a fucking week ago?
- 1:24:46Just a week ago. A week ago. And we've already forgotten it. Like a
- 1:24:50week. It's been a week. We haven't forgotten it. This is what people do to
- 1:24:55Black folks who are dealing with fucking injuries and pain. It's always
- 1:24:58You're faking it. You're not hurt enough. You could be playing. Oh,
- 1:25:02no, no, no, no. Pay you no mind. When and if and when Josh Allen
- 1:25:06ever gets hurt, because that man's fucking Superman. He hasn't missed a game in fucking
- 1:25:09forever. I'll give him that. But you better believe
- 1:25:12his ankle gets to rest. This is the shit they always do.
- 1:25:15And I'm glad you fucking brought it up. Thank you. That's another thing that's been
- 1:25:19killing me is like, why? Why don't
- 1:25:23we believe him? Why do you think— you think this
- 1:25:27man, you think this man won a Heisman,
- 1:25:31came into the NFL, has had 3 MVP-caliber
- 1:25:35seasons, has continued to play for this team over and over again, and, and he's
- 1:25:39faking his injury for money? Fuck you.
- 1:25:44Thank you. Thank you for pointing it out, because this is exactly
- 1:25:48what we were fucking talking about. You don't This is— they— oh
- 1:25:52my God, we just did— just insane. We just— Jalen Hurts could
- 1:25:56have died because they didn't fucking take care of him. But you want—
- 1:26:00you need to know, oh, it's too weird, it's too bizarre
- 1:26:04that Lamar has a high ankle sprain. That's bizarre to
- 1:26:08you? It's bizarre to you that Lamar Jackson needs to
- 1:26:12rest his ankle extra? You can't get your fucking head around that,
- 1:26:15really? No, you can. You're— I'm going—
- 1:26:19my— the top of my head's gonna explode off one of these days, and it's
- 1:26:23gonna be because of this fucking bullshit. And you know what?
- 1:26:26Don't do that. Your hair is expensive. It really is. And also,
- 1:26:31every time we talk about this, we get more and more fucking white
- 1:26:35people coming into our comments telling us that we are bait.
- 1:26:39We're, we're baiting. Yeah, this is us. This is us.
- 1:26:42Well, Tanya, Tanya, I don't know if you watched— did you watch football this last
- 1:26:45weekend? There's a commercial out there. Liberals are the new racists.
- 1:26:49Pandering. That was about us. No, no, Cody. We're just—
- 1:26:53we are— we're woke liberals. Our brains are broken. And by
- 1:26:57the way, we're pandering. Who are we pandering to? Apparently people who don't
- 1:27:01want to pay us. That's not who we're going to pander to. No, no,
- 1:27:03no. We're going to— we're going to pander to the people who have no power
- 1:27:08to pay us at all to do anything other than then watch us
- 1:27:12and support our content. But yeah, no, no, no, that— no, you guys doing the
- 1:27:15white supremacist shit for all of the corporations,
- 1:27:20they're not pandering. But when, when we, when we talk
- 1:27:23about things we actually care about that are actually real,
- 1:27:27that constantly get— have people telling us that we're going
- 1:27:31to get ourselves blackballed from our own industry. Yes, that's pandering.
- 1:27:35Yes. Interesting. Who, who are we pandering to and where's the
- 1:27:39money? Where's the money for this? Because as far as I can tell,
- 1:27:43most people are terrified to say the shit that we're saying for
- 1:27:46a fucking reason. For a reason. Oh, we're not. Can I tell you something?
- 1:27:50Yes. There is one comment I get more than any
- 1:27:53comment in my DMs, and I've been getting it for years and
- 1:27:57years. It happens quite literally daily. And at first
- 1:28:01I didn't understand it, or I just sort
- 1:28:05of like let it roll off my back. But now I really understand it.
- 1:28:08And I'm telling you, this is every single fucking day. Jesus.
- 1:28:12Don't stop doing what you're doing. Thank you for doing this. Please don't
- 1:28:16stop. And I will tell you, please don't stop. I tell you this over and
- 1:28:19over and over again. I'm getting those with you. And I
- 1:28:23will tell you, when I get those comments, fucking means more. Thank you.
- 1:28:26When I get those, I mean, this means more to me than you
- 1:28:30think. I actually got that text message from— and I'm not kidding.
- 1:28:33Thing. A former Little League coach that I had who then became an athletic
- 1:28:37director, and he ran a high school for years, and like a very guy that
- 1:28:40I used to look up to as a young kid, sent me a message,
- 1:28:43text message, thank you for saying the things that need to be said out loud.
- 1:28:46That fucking meant so much to me because that man ended up becoming like an
- 1:28:49educator, and he never quote unquote educated me,
- 1:28:53but he coached me, and he's just happy that I became this
- 1:28:58guy. And I have been hearing it. When I tell you, Cody, it's every single
- 1:29:03day, multiple times a day. Yeah. And it has been even since my, my vid—
- 1:29:06my following was smaller. It's, you know, like, which meant so much to me
- 1:29:10because, like, I, you know, people, people know what we
- 1:29:14are like. How it helps
- 1:29:18me understand how important it is despite
- 1:29:23how often we get pushback from our You know,
- 1:29:27from our fellow white people and sometimes from other
- 1:29:31people, right? We had a very interesting one this week because we got a bunch
- 1:29:34of fucking, you know, meth head shit hooks that wanted to like
- 1:29:37join us from Reddit who wanted to like— well, actually, I wasn't mad
- 1:29:42about it because thank you for making our shit viral. Yeah, um, I love it
- 1:29:45when you make our shit viral. And it's just amazing to see the comments of
- 1:29:47just the most absurd fucking white supremacist shit ever,
- 1:29:51but like Like, it breaks my heart and fills me with so much
- 1:29:55motivation. Because we're doing it right. How often I—
- 1:29:59like, I'm telling you, it's more than anything
- 1:30:03that anyone says to me. It is always, thank you for doing this.
- 1:30:06Thank you for saying the things that some of us can't say, the things that
- 1:30:09Black folks in the media get fired for saying, that you're
- 1:30:13helping. Thank you for saying this stuff that I feel crazy
- 1:30:17you know, thank you for validating this. But the, the part that
- 1:30:21always gets me the most is the please don't stop. Yeah.
- 1:30:25And that's what always has sat in my head is the please don't stop.
- 1:30:28Because of course in my mind I've never had any intention of stopping.
- 1:30:31I would never ever do that. I will never abandon my, my— I'll never
- 1:30:35abandon my values and my morals and my ethics or the
- 1:30:39things that really do genuinely upset me in the spaces of sports that
- 1:30:43I love or the things that make me happy or whatever. I would never abandon
- 1:30:46that. But they— so many people are used to being abandoned.
- 1:30:50They're so used to seeing somebody that they believe in,
- 1:30:53that speaks for them, who then sells out, or who then stops
- 1:30:57speaking out, or then kowtows to an establishment.
- 1:31:02And so, like, so many people who message me, their biggest fear is that I'll
- 1:31:05stop. That's fucking heartbreaking.
- 1:31:09You won't. I will never stop. No, no. Like, I, I will tell
- 1:31:13you this, um, one of the words that best describes you is full-on integrity.
- 1:31:17Like, integrity is the best word that describes you. And I have a feeling you
- 1:31:21will be doing this no matter what, no matter what dollar figures ever thrown your
- 1:31:24way, because I know you and that's why you're you. Um, cannot stress
- 1:31:28this enough, we, we have been
- 1:31:32poor many times, bought and paid for Ain't
- 1:31:36gonna do it to us. We like what we do. Yeah.
- 1:31:39Yeah. So we'll get bought and paid for for the shit we do.
- 1:31:43It's heavy on my mind. But I will say, I notice, I notice who likes
- 1:31:46our content. I notice who follows us from our content.
- 1:31:50And, and dude, the pirate ship is still fucking rolling,
- 1:31:54baby. Yeah. Our stuff is reaching the NFL. It's reaching NFL players
- 1:31:58most especially. Yeah. And we are, we are absolutely hitting on
- 1:32:01stuff. So no matter what the fuck you say in my comments, I don't care
- 1:32:04who you are. Are who you think you are. We, we know better.
- 1:32:08We do. So listen, that's it. Like, share, and subscribe wherever

- 1:32:37about this? Like,
- 1:32:41let's all just be good people out there, or fucking give it a shot.
- 1:32:44Yeah, I mean, I'm actually— I'm considering a— I'm considering a shift into
- 1:32:48just being a shit person. Yeah, I know you are. Just— I'm just gonna
- 1:32:51give it a shot and see what happens. You say it every day, but you
- 1:32:53can't do it, because what you do is you take it out on me for
- 1:32:56just a second Like when I get in my Bob Uecker chair. I know,
- 1:32:59I know, I know. And then it's gonna haunt me, Cody. It's literally gonna haunt
- 1:33:02me. I am going to get like— I'm gonna get so many apology text messages
- 1:33:05tonight, and I'm aware of it. You don't need to send one of them.
- 1:33:09I know you are upset with yourself. It's okay,
- 1:33:12it's okay. You have said way worse to me. No, I haven't.
- 1:33:17She doesn't know. I'm actually so nice to you. Really? Really?
- 1:33:21You know who we're not nice to? But he's Pretty fucking deserving.
- 1:33:24He's still alive, right? He's still alive. And that bloody sock was still real.
- 1:33:28But that doesn't change the fact that it's fuck Curt Schilling. Fuck Curt Schilling's bloody
- 1:33:32sock. Wasn't real, but fuck him anyway. Cheers. Cheers to the regulars. Why cheers?
