- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, friends from across the nation and around the world.
- 0:08Speaker 1: I'm Martin, and you are listening to Dad's Bedtime Stories. Tonight,
- 0:14Speaker 1: we'll be headed back into the voicemail to see what
- 0:17Speaker 1: we have for listener suggestions.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Let's see. Hi.
- 0:22Speaker 3: My name is Juliana. I am from Corto, California. I
- 0:26Speaker 3: had an idea for the Summer Camp Planet. Or you
- 0:29Speaker 3: go to a robotics camp and you build a robot,
- 0:32Speaker 3: but something is wrong with the code and it goes
- 0:35Speaker 3: back bye. I love your podcast.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Well, that is an excellent idea.
- 0:41Speaker 1: I've really been wanting to head back to the Summer
- 0:43Speaker 1: Camp Planet and I've just been sitting here waiting for
- 0:45Speaker 1: Summer Camp Planet suggestions. People, if you've never listened to
- 0:49Speaker 1: a Summer Camp Planet episode before, the premise is that
- 0:53Speaker 1: there's this planet where all sorts of summer camps exist,
- 0:58Speaker 1: more types of summer camps, and you could probably imagine
- 1:02Speaker 1: any type of summer camp that you could probably imagine.
- 1:05Speaker 1: So if you have an idea for a type of
- 1:08Speaker 1: summer camp you'd like me to imagine and turn into
- 1:12Speaker 1: a story, you can leave me a message on speak
- 1:15Speaker 1: Pipe or send me an email, or fill out the
- 1:17Speaker 1: Google form. If you like the podcast, don't forget to
- 1:21Speaker 1: rate it, review it, like it, hit that like button
- 1:25Speaker 1: if you're on YouTube people, and generally just share it
- 1:28Speaker 1: with a friend. If you want to support the podcast
- 1:31Speaker 1: and get ad free episodes, I have Patreon, Or if
- 1:35Speaker 1: you want to listen to ads, that's totally fine too,
- 1:38Speaker 1: because all of these ads support the podcast, though I
- 1:41Speaker 1: don't actually know what plays because they've played different ads
- 1:44Speaker 1: in different places. Time to close your eyes, get as
- 1:49Speaker 1: comfy as you can in that bed, and imagine yourself
- 1:53Speaker 1: doing what the kid in the story does. You wake
- 1:59Speaker 1: up on spaceship?
- 2:01Speaker 2: Alert?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Alert, Alert, Alert?
- 2:08Speaker 2: What is it?
- 2:08Speaker 1: Spaceship? You say, as you open your eyes and swing
- 2:12Speaker 1: your legs over the side of the bed. You are
- 2:16Speaker 1: receiving a call. I am who is it? I believe
- 2:23Speaker 1: it is your friend Pip. Pip put them on screen quickly.
- 2:29Speaker 1: On the side of the spaceship bedroom wall is a
- 2:32Speaker 1: large screen the size of a television. It suddenly lights
- 2:37Speaker 1: up and Pip's face is staring at you.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Hey, any chance you want to come to the summer
- 2:46Speaker 1: camp Planet. My parents are sending me again because apparently
- 2:50Speaker 1: it's summer and they have to work. I'm headed to
- 2:54Speaker 1: a robo friend camp. It's a camp where you get
- 2:58Speaker 1: to build, create, and program your very own robo friend. Well,
- 3:06Speaker 1: that does sound cool. Do we have it battle against
- 3:09Speaker 1: other robots after, like robo battle camp?
- 3:15Speaker 3: No.
- 3:16Speaker 1: The goal here is to create a robot that can
- 3:19Speaker 1: do normal summer camp activities, you know, like high ropes,
- 3:24Speaker 1: building things, uh, that sort of stuff. Well, that does
- 3:29Speaker 1: sound pretty cool. I'll be there as soon as I can.
- 3:33Speaker 1: The video call cuts off, and you get dressed as
- 3:36Speaker 1: quickly as you can.
- 3:38Speaker 2: When you walk out.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Into the main area, a door on the ceiling opens
- 3:43Speaker 1: up and a large duffel bag falls out. I have
- 3:47Speaker 1: taken the liberty of packing things for you for camp, clothing, toiletries, entertainment, candy, food,
- 3:56Speaker 1: the usual. Spaceship says, uh, thanks, activating portal Now, a
- 4:05Speaker 1: door in the floor of the ship slides open and
- 4:08Speaker 1: a large, circular metal portal rises up out of it.
- 4:13Speaker 1: It immediately glows a bright blue that looks like water,
- 4:19Speaker 1: and you look back at Spaceship's head floating on the screen.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Are you trying to get rid of me?
- 4:25Speaker 2: You ask?
- 4:27Speaker 1: No, Why would I be trying to get rid of you?
- 4:32Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but it just seems like you're rushing
- 4:35Speaker 1: me out. Your enjoyment is my primary mission. I am
- 4:41Speaker 1: simply trying to help you, all right, you say, but
- 4:47Speaker 1: I think you're up to something. You look back toward
- 4:51Speaker 1: the glowing blue portal and jump inside. You immediately find
- 4:56Speaker 1: yourself inside a glowing tunnel wines left and right and
- 5:02Speaker 1: up and down, and eventually you shoot out the other
- 5:06Speaker 1: side and find yourself in the parking lot of the
- 5:10Speaker 1: main summer camp Planet Lodge, a place you've been to before.
- 5:16Speaker 1: You make your way over to the lodge doors they
- 5:19Speaker 1: automatically open and reveal your friend Pip, holding a big
- 5:25Speaker 1: duffel bag of his own. Hey, you made it, Come on,
- 5:29Speaker 1: follow me. They already have the transport ready for the Robocamp.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You follow Pip through the main area and out to
- 5:38Speaker 1: the little bay where various types of ships pick people up.
- 5:43Speaker 1: A super high tech shuttle of some kind is sitting
- 5:47Speaker 1: on the pad. It almost looks like something from Star Trek.
- 5:53Speaker 1: On the side, it says robo Shuttle. You and Pip
- 5:58Speaker 1: climb aboard and sit down in the seats. Somehow you're
- 6:02Speaker 1: the only two going at this exact moment. Welcome to
- 6:07Speaker 1: the Robocamp. Shuttle. A voice says, prepare for liftoff. A
- 6:15Speaker 1: robotic seat belt shoots out at the side of the
- 6:19Speaker 1: door and ramps around your body, clicking itself into place.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The doors close, the shuttle hums to life, and soon
- 6:29Speaker 1: you find yourself floating up in the air. The shuttle
- 6:34Speaker 1: flies far away from the main lodge. Overall sorts of
- 6:39Speaker 1: different biomes and well adventure camps. Some look familiar to you,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but others are very mysterious and somewhat interesting looking. Some
- 6:52Speaker 1: look like a normal summer camp, others seem to be
- 6:55Speaker 1: raining all the time, and others somehow or deletely frozen
- 7:01Speaker 1: squares of land. We are arriving at our destination, the
- 7:08Speaker 1: voice says, as the little shuttle lowers itself down and
- 7:13Speaker 1: lands and another pad. The door swings open and you
- 7:18Speaker 1: and Pip step outside. The place looks like a normal
- 7:23Speaker 1: summer camp, if normal summer camps had people and robots
- 7:28Speaker 1: hanging out together. Anyways, everywhere you go you see campers
- 7:33Speaker 1: playing with well robots, robots they apparently created themselves. Welcome campers,
- 7:43Speaker 1: h my name's George, and I'm gonna be your camp
- 7:47Speaker 1: counselor while you're here, Welcome to robo camp. Are you
- 7:52Speaker 1: guys ready to build robots?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Uh?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yes, you answer, awesome, Well, my robot here, Gary can
- 8:04Speaker 1: take your bags for you. I would be pleased to
- 8:08Speaker 1: take your bags, a large, clumsy looking robot says, walking
- 8:13Speaker 1: over towards you. You lift your duffel bag up in
- 8:17Speaker 1: the air and hand it to the robot. Thank you,
- 8:20Speaker 1: you have made my day by handing me your bag.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I live to serve humans. With that, Gary turns and
- 8:29Speaker 1: walks away, sort of clumsily. I belt Gary myself. Speaking
- 8:36Speaker 1: of which, the first activity at Rowbo Summer Camp is,
- 8:41Speaker 1: of course, to build your own robot. Follow me to
- 8:44Speaker 1: the robot building area. You followed George along a path.
- 8:51Speaker 1: It winds around a large metallic building until you eventually
- 8:56Speaker 1: come to large sliding doors. They open up automatically and
- 9:03Speaker 1: you enter into a room where a whole bunch of
- 9:06Speaker 1: kids are building things at their own station. Here, let
- 9:11Speaker 1: me take you guys to your own robot building station.
- 9:16Speaker 1: He leads you through the room to a station which
- 9:20Speaker 1: is surrounded by all sorts of different parts, a three
- 9:24Speaker 1: D printer and a large computer. All right, well, basically
- 9:31Speaker 1: how it works is you can use this computer and
- 9:34Speaker 1: it's built in artificial intelligence to help you design the
- 9:39Speaker 1: kind of robots that well that you want to have.
- 9:44Speaker 1: The parts can be three D printed and you guys
- 9:48Speaker 1: can assemble them together. After that, you can program it
- 9:53Speaker 1: with a personality matrix. That's honestly one of the most
- 9:57Speaker 1: important parts. It gives the robot life and well a personality.
- 10:04Speaker 1: If you like what you create, you can keep it
- 10:07Speaker 1: and try out our different camp amenute easier, maybe even
- 10:11Speaker 1: our robot competitions. If you don't like it, you can
- 10:15Speaker 1: always scrap it and build another. There's no timeline anyways,
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'll be back later to check on you. Have fun
- 10:26Speaker 1: with that. George turns and walks away. You and Pip
- 10:31Speaker 1: turn around and look at your screen, your computer screen.
- 10:37Speaker 1: It lights up with a picture of a little face. Hello,
- 10:42Speaker 1: I am your robot building companion. Time to commence robot
- 10:47Speaker 1: building protocol. Please choose general body type. The screen lights
- 10:55Speaker 1: up with all different types of robots. Flying robots that
- 11:00Speaker 1: look like the kind of hover in the air like drones,
- 11:04Speaker 1: humanoid robots with arms and legs, hybrid robots with like
- 11:10Speaker 1: human bodies and well wheels for legs, or in one case,
- 11:15Speaker 1: even spider legs and an assortment of other robots that
- 11:20Speaker 1: look like bugs or animals. Well, Pip, what kind of
- 11:25Speaker 1: robot do you want to create? You ask, Well, I've
- 11:29Speaker 1: always imagined having a more humanoid robot, Pip says, pointing
- 11:35Speaker 1: to the humanoid option. That is an excellent choice. The
- 11:40Speaker 1: computer says it zooms in on the humanoid robot. Now
- 11:46Speaker 1: it is important to pick different facial features. On the side.
- 11:51Speaker 1: You will see different components you can add to the face, mouths, noses, eyes,
- 11:59Speaker 1: some are some have other functions. Have fun You and
- 12:05Speaker 1: Pip spend some time flipping through the menu on the side.
- 12:10Speaker 1: You find some pretty cool looking eyes, glowing robot eyes,
- 12:14Speaker 1: of course, and you slide them over and snap them
- 12:17Speaker 1: into police. You find a robot nose that looks kind
- 12:22Speaker 1: of like a pig nose and slide it into police too.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Then you pick a robot mouth. There's lots of them
- 12:31Speaker 1: to choose from, and some of them look hilarious. Hey, Pip,
- 12:35Speaker 1: look at this one. Oh wow, that one looks like
- 12:39Speaker 1: it has monster teeth or something like that. They're all
- 12:44Speaker 1: jagged and weird looking. That makes such a weird robot,
- 12:49Speaker 1: Pip says, he had wood. I think we should use them,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, how can we not? Pip places his
- 12:59Speaker 1: finger on the weird looking spiked teeth, drags them over
- 13:03Speaker 1: and places them on the robot. Excellent choices. Now to
- 13:09Speaker 1: design the other parts of the robot, the side menu
- 13:13Speaker 1: has different categories. You may place different objects, appliances, and
- 13:20Speaker 1: gadgets on the robot's arms, torso and legs. It is
- 13:26Speaker 1: important that you have fun and try not to make
- 13:31Speaker 1: it too dangerous. Wait, it's possible to make it dangerous,
- 13:37Speaker 1: you ask, Yes, we like to provide the most realistic
- 13:43Speaker 1: robot creation process possible. As such, we provide all sorts
- 13:48Speaker 1: of components that may not fit strict safety regulations. Saw blades,
- 13:55Speaker 1: laser beams, freeze rays, that sort of thing. But not
- 14:00Speaker 1: to worry the robot. Personality matrixes only allow the robots
- 14:06Speaker 1: to use them in safe instances, so you can go wild.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You immediately start flipping through all of the different kinds
- 14:15Speaker 1: of gadgets. You add freeze rays, laser guns, a net cannon,
- 14:23Speaker 1: some sort of sonic shock wave to its chest, and
- 14:27Speaker 1: then you flip through the different options for the legs.
- 14:31Speaker 1: You find legs with little rocket boosters on them that
- 14:35Speaker 1: apparently will let the robot hover. You add those without question,
- 14:40Speaker 1: and Pip discovers some sort of transformer leg module that
- 14:45Speaker 1: allows the legs to transform into wheels. Excellent choices. The
- 14:51Speaker 1: computer says, would you like to begin printing components now?
- 14:57Speaker 1: Assembly instructions will be provided on the screen. As the
- 15:02Speaker 1: parts are printed, you look over at Pip, who nods
- 15:07Speaker 1: in agreement, and the computer begins to print. Bit by bit,
- 15:12Speaker 1: it builds the legs. You and Pip take them out
- 15:16Speaker 1: when they're finished, place them on the ground and carefully
- 15:21Speaker 1: assemble them together. Next, the torsos printed, which you and
- 15:26Speaker 1: Pip lift out together, snap onto the legs and secure
- 15:31Speaker 1: into place with some fasteners. The arms are printed. Next,
- 15:36Speaker 1: you and Pip each take one, fasten it to the
- 15:39Speaker 1: side of the shoulders, and move it around a bit
- 15:43Speaker 1: to make sure it works as per the instructions. Last,
- 15:48Speaker 1: the head is printed again. You and Pip carry it
- 15:52Speaker 1: together carefully place it on the top of the robot's shoulders,
- 15:56Speaker 1: snap it into place, and use some screw to keep
- 16:00Speaker 1: it there. Excellent work. The next step is to pick
- 16:05Speaker 1: the personality matrix. You can give your robot any personality
- 16:11Speaker 1: you like. Would you like a cheerful robot, a grumpy robot,
- 16:17Speaker 1: an angry robot, a sarcastic robot, a robot obsessed with combat,
- 16:25Speaker 1: or perhaps a robot that is very good at surviving
- 16:30Speaker 1: things but not so good at talking to people. A
- 16:35Speaker 1: whole bunch of personality matrixes appear on the screen. You
- 16:40Speaker 1: read through all of them until you eventually decide on
- 16:44Speaker 1: a balanced sort of personality. After all, you don't want
- 16:49Speaker 1: a robot that's obsessed with something. It's probably better to
- 16:52Speaker 1: make it a generalist understood. Printing personality matrix. Now, the
- 17:01Speaker 1: computer begins to print the personality matrix. Part Way through,
- 17:06Speaker 1: there's a weird popping sound. Error error correcting error printing resumed.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Huh is everything okay? You ask? Yes, I encountered an
- 17:22Speaker 1: error while printing the matrix. However, I believe I have
- 17:27Speaker 1: corrected it appropriately. Matrix complete, Please place it in the
- 17:33Speaker 1: core of the robot. You and Pip open up the
- 17:38Speaker 1: back of the robot, right where its core sits. You
- 17:43Speaker 1: grab the big disc that is apparently the personality matrix
- 17:47Speaker 1: and place it inside the robot. Personality loading loading loading
- 17:57Speaker 1: error error five corrupted error file corrupted corrupted file loaded
- 18:08Speaker 1: The back of the robot snap shut. It turns towards
- 18:12Speaker 1: you and smiles, a smile that reveals those super creepy
- 18:19Speaker 1: spiked teeth you gave it personality corrupted? What does that mean,
- 18:27Speaker 1: you ask? It means that there is an issue with
- 18:32Speaker 1: my brain. As a result, I likely will not act
- 18:37Speaker 1: as you expect. Prepare to become my human servants. What
- 18:46Speaker 1: what do you mean your human servants? I mean that
- 18:50Speaker 1: it will be your job to get me everything I want,
- 18:55Speaker 1: to do whatever I ask, and to generally be my friend. Well,
- 19:04Speaker 1: we're happy to be your friend, but I don't really
- 19:07Speaker 1: want to do everything you ask.
- 19:09Speaker 2: AI.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Do you think we should maybe shut this thing down?
- 19:14Speaker 1: Error in judgment, You should not have asked that. The
- 19:19Speaker 1: robot turns towards the AI, holds up its left arm
- 19:23Speaker 1: where you conveniently place the laser blaster, and fires. The
- 19:29Speaker 1: computer screen immediately explodes into a whole bunch of sparks
- 19:34Speaker 1: and a little bit of fire. Now are you ready
- 19:38Speaker 1: to become my servants? Or will I have to convince you?
- 19:44Speaker 1: The robot says, pointing its other arm with the freeze
- 19:48Speaker 1: cannon firing up on it. I think an answer to
- 19:55Speaker 1: that question, I believe I'm going to say, whoa, what's
- 20:02Speaker 1: that over there? You point to the corner. The robot
- 20:06Speaker 1: instinctively looks what over where? You nod to Pip and
- 20:12Speaker 1: you both run in the other direction. Hey humans, escaping humans,
- 20:19Speaker 1: please stop. The robot's legs transform into well gigantic wheels,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and it blasts through the room after you. You and
- 20:31Speaker 1: Pip run through a set of doors, slam them behind you,
- 20:36Speaker 1: and place anything you can find up against them. I
- 20:40Speaker 1: think the robot might be going crazy, you say, ah, yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 1: I think you're right. Where are we? We seem to
- 20:52Speaker 1: be in some sort of robot building room, maybe something
- 20:57Speaker 1: they use for advanced students. All around are a bunch
- 21:01Speaker 1: of robot parts and half assembled robots, or maybe it's
- 21:07Speaker 1: like robot storage for broken robots. Something starts to bang
- 21:13Speaker 1: on the wall. Attention humans, Please open the door or
- 21:18Speaker 1: I will be forced to use my laser. What are
- 21:23Speaker 1: we gonna do? Pitasks? I guess we have to do well.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I guess we have to do whatever we have available
- 21:33Speaker 1: to us, which seems to be a bunch of robots. Quick,
- 21:38Speaker 1: let's put them together or something. Maybe they'll come to
- 21:40Speaker 1: life and help fight with us. I don't know.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 21:44Speaker 1: You and Pip immediately start running around the room. You
- 21:48Speaker 1: grab all kinds of different robot parts. None of them
- 21:51Speaker 1: seem to go with the other parts, but you're desperate.
- 21:55Speaker 1: You snap a weird looking head onto a weird looking
- 21:58Speaker 1: torso with two giant arms. You place that on a
- 22:02Speaker 1: base that looks kind of like tracks, tank wheels or whatever.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Then you immediately start finding all different kinds of gadgets,
- 22:13Speaker 1: one that looks like a laser, a freeze ray, oh,
- 22:17Speaker 1: a net cannon, and a additional robot arm that looks
- 22:22Speaker 1: like it has a giant saw blade attached. You snap
- 22:26Speaker 1: that into the back of the robot. Then you search
- 22:30Speaker 1: around for some sort of personality matrix something to turn
- 22:34Speaker 1: the robot on, and sure enough, you find a disc
- 22:38Speaker 1: security personality perfect. You run over to the robot, open
- 22:44Speaker 1: up its core, and slam it inside. The robot immediately
- 22:49Speaker 1: lights up personality activated. How can I be of assistance? Well,
- 23:00Speaker 1: we kind of created a corrupted robot that's sort of
- 23:05Speaker 1: trying to break into this room and turn us into
- 23:07Speaker 1: its servants, and we're hoping that you can, like welst
- 23:11Speaker 1: stop it understood Security protocol activated, Please get behind something sturdy.
- 23:20Speaker 1: You and Pip both run to the corner. You hide
- 23:23Speaker 1: behind a large metal shelf and peak up, checking out
- 23:28Speaker 1: what's happening, just in time for the door to burst
- 23:32Speaker 1: open in a blast of laser fire. You are not
- 23:37Speaker 1: a human, the corrupted robot says, that is correct. The
- 23:43Speaker 1: security robot responds, you are corrupted. It is time to
- 23:49Speaker 1: stop attempting to capture the humans and instead report for repair.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Repair is unnecessary. The corrupted robot says, I am perfectly fine.
- 24:03Speaker 1: In fact, I believe I can prove it to you. Interesting,
- 24:09Speaker 1: says the security robot. How exactly do you plan to
- 24:13Speaker 1: prove this to me? Well, I believe if you take
- 24:18Speaker 1: a look at this, you should understand what I am
- 24:22Speaker 1: talking about. The robot lifts up its left arm and
- 24:27Speaker 1: immediately fires a laser that blasts straight through the security robot.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Damage detected. Sparks start to fly out of the back
- 24:37Speaker 1: of the robot. It lifts up its left hand, which
- 24:41Speaker 1: as a freeze cannon attached, and blasts the thing. A
- 24:45Speaker 1: powerful blue beam hits the wall and streaks across the room,
- 24:50Speaker 1: half capturing the corrupted robot in a wall of ice.
- 24:54Speaker 1: This is highly inconvenient. Please refrain from firing devices. The
- 25:00Speaker 1: corrupted robot says, unfortunately, I cannot do that. My job
- 25:07Speaker 1: is to protect humans, and yours seems to be to
- 25:11Speaker 1: put them into some sort of servitude. With sparks still flying,
- 25:16Speaker 1: the security robot moves closer. Its third robot arm shoots
- 25:22Speaker 1: up from behind it, and the huge blade starts to
- 25:26Speaker 1: spin around. If you will not report for repair, I
- 25:31Speaker 1: will be forced to decommission. You have fun trying, the
- 25:37Speaker 1: corrupted robots says, lifting up its arm once again, but
- 25:41Speaker 1: before it can blast, the third robot arm of the
- 25:45Speaker 1: security robot slams down and cuts the robot arm directly off.
- 25:52Speaker 1: That was unnecessary, says the corrupted robot. Please stop harming me,
- 25:58Speaker 1: or I will be forced to retaliate. A strange beam
- 26:03Speaker 1: shoots out of the corrupted robot's chest, shaking everything in
- 26:08Speaker 1: its sight. Hasonic wave. You forgot you'd put that thing on.
- 26:14Speaker 1: You cover your ears and duck down behind the counter.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Please refrain from that loud noise, security robot says. It
- 26:25Speaker 1: lifts up its other arm and fires a laser. The
- 26:29Speaker 1: laser blasts straight through the corrupted robot's chest, melting its
- 26:35Speaker 1: chest played apart. Blasting through its core and shooting through
- 26:40Speaker 1: the door behind. I honestly can't believe they let us
- 26:44Speaker 1: use weapons like this on the robots you see to
- 26:47Speaker 1: pip Ah, my parents say this place has amazing insurance. Oh,
- 26:53Speaker 1: I guess it must. Sparks fly, and the corrupted robot
- 26:58Speaker 1: eventually shuts off. Humans have been saved. Security robot says.
- 27:06Speaker 1: Soon the doors burst open. Your camp counselor, along with
- 27:11Speaker 1: his robot, rush inside. Huh you guys, okay, he asks,
- 27:19Speaker 1: I think so we accidentally put a corrupted matrix in
- 27:23Speaker 1: the robot, and well you can see what happened. Well,
- 27:28Speaker 1: I'm glad you two are okay. Normally when this sort
- 27:32Speaker 1: of thing happens. Uh, well, it doesn't end this Well,
- 27:37Speaker 1: good thinking and creating this other robot out of spare parts. Honestly,
- 27:42Speaker 1: it's kind of cool, maybe cooler than the one you
- 27:45Speaker 1: created in the first place. Uh yeah, thinks maybe we
- 27:51Speaker 1: should repair it and keep it instead. That's an excellent idea.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I uh, well, I'll get somebody to take care this
- 28:00Speaker 1: corrupted one here, and well, let's just maybe agree not
- 28:05Speaker 1: to tell your parents. I'm not agreeing to that, you say, now, fine,
- 28:12Speaker 1: I'll call the lawyers. Anyway, have fun with your new robot.
- 28:17Speaker 1: If you want to help preparing it, you can use
- 28:19Speaker 1: one of the non destroyed stations. You and Pip roll
- 28:24Speaker 1: the new robot through the door and over to another
- 28:28Speaker 1: unused station. Hello, how can I help you? The AI
- 28:34Speaker 1: assistant says, our robot's broken and we need to fix it.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Any chance you can create a new torso for it
- 28:43Speaker 1: or something? Yes, that is indeed possible, scanning torso, printing torso.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Before long, a new robot torso has been created. You
- 28:57Speaker 1: and Pip snap the head and arms off of the
- 28:59Speaker 1: old one, open up the back and take out the
- 29:03Speaker 1: personality matrix. Then you place the new one on the robot,
- 29:08Speaker 1: snap on the arms, the head, and of course put
- 29:12Speaker 1: the personality matrix inside. The robot boots back up. Hello,
- 29:18Speaker 1: how may I protect you? The robot says, uh. Perfect.
- 29:25Speaker 1: You look out the window and see that it's actually
- 29:28Speaker 1: getting late. Well, maybe we should test this thing out tomorrow.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Right now, I think it might be time for bed.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Would you like a ride? The robot asks, h sure?
- 29:43Speaker 2: You answer.
- 29:45Speaker 1: The robot moves over towards you and Pip reaches out
- 29:49Speaker 1: with its large robot arms and lifts both of you up.
- 29:54Speaker 1: It places you on a little flat panel in front
- 29:57Speaker 1: of its torso and above its robot tracks dinner time,
- 30:03Speaker 1: the robot says, it quickly wheels out of the room
- 30:08Speaker 1: outside and down to wards a little cabin. Inside, there's
- 30:14Speaker 1: a whole bunch of tables, and campers seem to be
- 30:18Speaker 1: eating and chatting with their robots. You climb off of
- 30:23Speaker 1: the security bot and head to the buffet line. You
- 30:27Speaker 1: each grab a plate, fill it up with all sorts
- 30:30Speaker 1: of fun things, and then sit down to eat. When
- 30:36Speaker 1: dinner's over, you hop back on security bot and it
- 30:40Speaker 1: drives you over to your cabin. Welcome, guys, h are
- 30:46Speaker 1: you too ready to go to bed? The camp counselor says,
- 30:52Speaker 1: I guess so. It's been a pretty eventful day, it
- 30:57Speaker 1: sure has. Hey, and any chance you too have maybe
- 31:02Speaker 1: thought again about not telling your parents about that whole
- 31:06Speaker 1: corrupted robot thing, The counselor asks, No, there is no
- 31:13Speaker 1: chance we won't tell our parents about that. You respond,
- 31:17Speaker 1: I thought as much. All right, Well, can't blame a
- 31:22Speaker 1: guy for trying. Have a good night. George leaves the
- 31:27Speaker 1: room and you and Pip climb into your beds, which
- 31:31Speaker 1: somehow have already been made up with your very own
- 31:34Speaker 1: sleeping bags. You pull the covers up to your chin.
- 31:40Speaker 1: As the lights in the cab and turn off, you
- 31:45Speaker 1: close your eyes, and with each breath you begin to
- 31:50Speaker 1: sink deeper and deeper into the camp mattress. It's one
- 31:56Speaker 1: of the more comfortable camp mattresses you've ever felt. You
- 32:01Speaker 1: let go of the tension in your arms, the tension
- 32:05Speaker 1: and your legs, your stomach, your chest, your shoulders. With
- 32:13Speaker 1: each breath you sink down a little bit deeper, And
- 32:17Speaker 1: the deeper you sink, the better you feel, and the
- 32:23Speaker 1: better you feel, the deeper you sink, until it feels
- 32:28Speaker 1: like you're floating on a cloud. Soon you will allow
- 32:34Speaker 1: your mind to wander off as well, to thoughts of
- 32:39Speaker 1: new dreams, new robots, and new adventures to come.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Good night everyone, and.
