- 0:59Shay Ohtani again is in the tabloids, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:04And uh oh, Ohtani is in big trouble and I think the MLB
- 1:08needs to look into this story. His agent being sued in a land
- 1:13development deal. Shay Ohtani and his agent are
- 1:16being sued by two real estate developers in Hawaii claiming
- 1:21they got them fired from a $240 million luxury housing project.
- 1:28Ohtani and his agent, Nez Balayo of CAA, are being accused of a
- 1:35calculated and unlawful scheme which interfered with the
- 1:39development of the property which Ohtani was supposed to be
- 1:44a public sponsor of, on top of owning $17 million of the
- 1:50property in the complex. The plaintiff or plaintiffs
- 1:56claim Balelo used Otani's leverage as a celebrity to
- 2:01eliminate the two developers roles in the project.
- 2:05The plaintiffs lawyer Josh Schiller, claims that Otani and
- 2:10his representation refused to negotiate a resolution.
- 2:15Schiller accused Balelo of doing business on Otani's behalf and
- 2:20illegally forcing the removal of the plaintiffs to fatten his own
- 2:26pockets and do not know if Otani was aware of the dealing of his
- 2:32agent but said the agent was doing business on his behalf.
- 2:37He's responsible for the agents. Ultimately.
- 2:40Otani signed a 10 year, $700 million deal with the Dodgers in
- 2:442023 and won his third MVP and was a World Series champion last
- 2:50year. There's a lot of legs to this
- 2:51story. And again, it's a story that
- 2:55eventually will be brushed under the rug.
- 2:57We know it's going to be brushed under the rug because we all
- 3:00know that betting scandal was brushed under the rug.
- 3:03Two guys are in jail, sitting in jail for Shayo Otani.
- 3:10Two of them. And again, I'm not going to go
- 3:14back into this sports betting scheme or gambling situation
- 3:18because let's just brush that under the rug and get to this
- 3:22story. Because this story seems to be
- 3:24even worse when Sheila Tani uses his superstardom to negotiate a
- 3:34deal worth about 250 or $240 million of luxury housing and
- 3:42then obviously not doing the right thing behind it.
- 3:48Now, everybody saying that Sheila Tani might not have known
- 3:52that Belalo was putting money into his pockets and and
- 3:57obviously doing things schemefully to hurt these two
- 4:01plaintiffs that were involved with.
- 4:03And I'm not, I'm not going to cry about these two guys because
- 4:06they're probably multi millionaires, billionaires.
- 4:09So I'm not going to cry for them or cry me a river for them that
- 4:12they lost $240 million or whatever.
- 4:15How much money they're going to lose out of this deal.
- 4:19But the fact that Otani's involved in a scheme like this
- 4:21again tells me that the MLB needs to dig a little deeper in
- 4:26Otani's behalf. And why I say Otani's behalf
- 4:29because Otani seems to be the whipping board for us on this
- 4:36show. We love to whip Shay Ohtani, and
- 4:39everybody likes to protect Shay Ohtani offset of this show
- 4:43except Jabba. Jabba has protected Shay Ohtani
- 4:46since the beginning. Jabba's always stuck behind it.
- 4:50The sports betting situation with him.
- 4:52And even if it to be true, we can't.
- 4:55There's no proof. So Jabba, until proven guilty,
- 4:58Jabba doesn't think that Shay Ohtani had anything to do with
- 5:00it. This story.
- 5:03You can't tell me that Shero Tani didn't know about the $240
- 5:07million that he invested into with this housing project.
- 5:11I don't know if you you haven't read the report because it went
- 5:14and this is via si.com and it was actually Nez is the one that
- 5:21used his name and if you're as an agent, he can still be held
- 5:26liable. But he had nothing to do with
- 5:28it. It was his name was on the
- 5:29behalf because he was listed as the first.
- 5:33Holder so. They've already they've already
- 5:35reviewed. I'm just I'm just saying what I
- 5:36read. All right, There's nothing
- 5:38that's going to happen to the dude.
- 5:39You already. Know that, no, there's nothing
- 5:40going to happen because he's the face of baseball.
- 5:42Baseball's protecting him. He's going to win the home run.
- 5:45He's going to have the most home runs this year.
- 5:47He's probably going to get, he's going to get another MVP this
- 5:50year in the National League because he's Shay Otani and
- 5:53baseball likes to protect this guy, it seems.
- 5:55You're innocent till proven guilty.
- 5:56Well, in America you are. In other countries, you're
- 5:59probably gonna get thrown into jail as we all.
- 6:01Know Hawaii still? Yeah, well, I, Hawaii is still
- 6:07the United States, so he's going to get away with it.
- 6:09But I, I don't know Naz. I don't know this guy
- 6:12specifically. I know obviously he's an agent
- 6:14at CAA and, and this is a guy that is finding ways to make
- 6:18extra money on the side. All these agents, all these
- 6:21lawyers are trying to find ways to make extra money on the side.
- 6:25But when you hear Otani's name being brought in this
- 6:28conversation, it would, if you're an Otani fan, you'd have
- 6:31to be worried that Otani's name is going to be brought in to a
- 6:34lot of these conversations stations for the very near
- 6:37future. Otani is making hundreds of
- 6:40millions of dollars. He is he's and I know fish is
- 6:43going to come into this and he's going to bring up the chair.
- 6:45Otan, he's making $100 million a year in endorsements.
- 6:48The closest, the next two guys right under him are making
- 6:51$7,000,000 a year in endorsements and Aaron Judge and
- 6:56Juan Soto. So think about it this way.
- 6:58There's got to be something fishy going on if Juan Soto and
- 7:02Aaron Judge, 2 superstars, 2 big names in the major leagues, are
- 7:05only bringing in $7,000,000 a year in endorsements and this
- 7:09man is bringing in $100 million a year in endorsement.
- 7:13This has to be something. But they're not global.
- 7:16Otani is global. Aaron Judge isn't global.
- 7:18No. Aaron Judge isn't, You're
- 7:21telling. Me judge is is more global than
- 7:24Otani. I didn't say that you're.
- 7:25Out of your gore. First of all, Otani's global in
- 7:28Japan. Otani's global everywhere.
- 7:32Aaron Judge is only global because he's a Yankee.
- 7:34If he was, if he was a Milwaukee Brewer, he's not global, Aaron,
- 7:38let's be honest. All right, that's fine.
- 7:39But Aaron Judge is the best player in baseball.
- 7:41He's been the best player in baseball for the last four.
- 7:43Years, but he's not even close to being as global as Otani is.
- 7:47Who's the most popular athlete right now in professional
- 7:49baseball right now? Are we talking globally?
- 7:52No, in the United States. I mean, I'm still gonna it's.
- 7:56Probably Aaron Judge. I I would beg to differ.
- 8:00It's probably Aaron Judge. I, I don't know what the numbers
- 8:04are, but if, if we have our producers actually looking it
- 8:07up, but we're talking about it, that would be pretty simple to
- 8:10just Google as we always do, go to Google and find out who.
- 8:15OK, so who's the top sailing jersey Otani?
- 8:19Yeah, worldwide in the United. States no, in the US is.
- 8:23Is the top sailing jersey. In the.
- 8:25US what is the. Number in the US, Japan and
- 8:27worldwide. We have three guys on a
- 8:30computer. Nobody has an answer here.
- 8:32I'm. Looking at it right now.
- 8:34Who is the most popular player right now in the Just because
- 8:37you're a jersey seller doesn't make you the most popular player
- 8:40in in the United States. It's just a jersey.
- 8:42So how so? So how?
- 8:43Did. So what is your metric of saying
- 8:45they're the most? Popular.
- 8:46I don't know. I'm just asking.
- 8:48Obviously, there's the jersey. Sales the most popular because
- 8:51they're buying the jersey, not. Really.
- 8:54Because just because I believe LeBron James, who had the most
- 8:57jersey sales in professional sports this past year?
- 9:01Do I have to look this up because my guys can't do it?
- 9:04Google most sold jerseys in. Professional, You said it a
- 9:10million times to you, it's Otani by far over judge in jerseys.
- 9:14I'm talking about an all professional sports.
- 9:16You guys are not. Helping some soccer player who
- 9:18cares what? Do you mean who cares, Soccer?
- 9:21Who cares? I'm bringing up.
- 9:23You're telling me that's the only thing you're going to say?
- 9:25Who cares? That's how they they always buy
- 9:28the soccer jerseys because every country in the world watches
- 9:32soccer because that's all they they look.
- 9:35It's a you. All you need is a ball and a
- 9:38couple of like marks. Peter, you're still looking
- 9:40right there. And you can.
- 9:41I'm only seeing Otani too, I don't see any others that are.
- 9:44Objective. Yeah, dude, Otani's more popular
- 9:47because he's like, he's gold. He's international, he's global.
- 9:51MLB Shea Otani, NBA Luka Dodgek, NFL Saquon Barkley, MLS Leona
- 9:57Messi, NHL Alexander Ovechkin. That's all I needed.
- 10:01You guys couldn't do that for me.
- 10:02Thank you very much. That's those are the top selling
- 10:07jerseys in each and every sport. Thank you to my producers for
- 10:12not getting me those numbers. Oh, I'm sorry, I was doing the
- 10:14more important actual production.
- 10:16I'm talking about the other guys that are sitting right beside me
- 10:19and can't get me numbers and here it is a jerseys top selling
- 10:24jerseys all time, Michael Jordan, Leona, Messi, Cristiano
- 10:28Ronaldo, LeBron James, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Kobe Bryant,
- 10:34Neymar, Sidney Crosby. If you go by like Instagram and.
- 10:39Judge, that's what you're talking about.
- 10:41I'm just, I'm looking, I'm looking at jersey sales all
- 10:45time. I, I just want numbers.
- 10:46You guys are sitting here going back and forth.
- 10:48Who cares? Shay Otani is making money in
- 10:51every kind of way. You're the guy that never wants
- 10:53numbers. No, I'm not.
- 10:55But I, I, if I ask you on numbers, well, I'm asking you
- 10:57for numbers and none of you guys could give me numbers.
- 11:00That's. We've got numbers up in the now.
- 11:02You do. We took guys. 9.2 million
- 11:05followers on Instagram. Judge has 1.9.
- 11:09That means that he's 4 1/2 times more popular than Judge.
- 11:13That's that's why I was wondering what what your metric
- 11:16was of like most. Popular.
- 11:18There's no like, popularity, Yeah.
- 11:20There's no standings dude. It's not like the stent meter on
- 11:23a golf course, like, hey, it's rolling out of 13.
- 11:26All right, all right here. Best selling jerseys of 2025 One
- 11:30Leona Messi #2 Cristiano Ronaldo #3 Steph Curry #4 Giannis
- 11:39Obviously Giannis. OK, what's your point?
- 11:42Here though I'm I'm trying to figure out what.
- 11:44He's trying to say baseball's not that popular.
- 11:46That's what I'm saying. No, that's what I'm saying.
- 11:48That's what I'm. Saying, well, yeah, soccer,
- 11:50always. That's what.
- 11:51I'm saying is that's what I'm saying with those guys, you
- 11:56don't and baseball jerseys don't sell the same as like some of
- 11:59these other. Jerseys.
- 11:59They're way more expensive too. Yeah, you have to remember that.
- 12:03If you get the like the real 1. The fact here is Otani's making
- 12:07money hand over fist, and now he has his hands dipped into real
- 12:11estate. And now again he's being accused
- 12:14of being a part of some scheme where everybody is saying, well,
- 12:18he's not a part of it, Or they're trying to find ways
- 12:20where they're saying, well, his name is on the contract, but he
- 12:24probably has nothing to do with it.
- 12:26Probably isn't. Does not mean that he has
- 12:29nothing to do with that situation.
- 12:31You're going to tell me that Shay Otani didn't know that
- 12:33there was 20 something, $1,000,000 missing out of his
- 12:35account when it came to sports gambling?
- 12:37You're going to tell me that she, Otani, didn't know about
- 12:39$240 million of his own money, right.
- 12:42Was it his own money or something?
- 12:44So it's. So here's the thing.
- 12:46They're suing him for 240 million.
- 12:48What was the money that he invested in HE?
- 12:50He so we don't know the total number that he invested.
- 12:53He's supposed to be the face. So they had him buy the first
- 12:58housing house in this development listed at 17 and
- 13:02change $1,000,000 that. Also, there was a deal with
- 13:06these two guys that are suing that they would use him to
- 13:10promote the development in Hawaii.
- 13:11No, I got to. Attract luxury clientele, right?
- 13:14I got it. So, so as far as what the value
- 13:17is, I think he's being sued for how much those two guys thought
- 13:20they were going to make off of this deal.
- 13:23And that his his agent who's a part of the deal it was
- 13:27pocketing obviously or trying to find.
- 13:30Ways to I think that's the story right this is a high profile
- 13:33agent at CAA Belalo and he is doing some shady like this is
- 13:39some of the stuff that but. Why is Otani putting himself?
- 13:42In the wire do. Why is Otani putting himself
- 13:44around these people? And if he, if that that's my
- 13:48question, why is Otani putting himself around all these people?
- 13:52Obviously his interpreter, I know it was his friend, but his
- 13:55interpreter went to jail and he's going to come out and he's
- 13:58probably going to be very rich because Otani's going to take
- 14:00care of him and his family. And then this, this story with
- 14:04Nez Belalo, he's he's another guy that is connected to Shay
- 14:09Otani and he's using Shay Otani's name to get rich.
- 14:14You realize his interpreters in federal, like that's a Country
- 14:18Club. Like you just have a fence
- 14:20around you, but you get a dude like if you get committed to
- 14:23crime, my dad worked in a prison for 30 years.
- 14:25So you don't want to be state, you want to be federally because
- 14:28it's literally a Country Club. You get treated, you get free
- 14:31time, you get everything. Like it's you're not doing time.
- 14:34You just happen to stay in the same spot.
- 14:36But you have your, I mean, you can do whatever you want.
- 14:39You watch whatever you want. You have computer.
- 14:41Like it's not like you're in prison.
- 14:43Like federal time is cake. Yeah, he's probably taking prop
- 14:47bets over there in 100. Percent.
- 14:50And Carl, Carl, I know Carl likes to turn into Jeff over
- 14:53here and says that I'm getting mad because I'm wrong.
- 14:56No, what I was trying to get at is that baseball is not as big
- 15:00as all the other sports. That was my argument.
- 15:03Carl, why don't you shove it up your ass?
- 15:04Because you don't know what the hell you're talking about half
- 15:06the time. And if you have nothing good to
- 15:08say, you could shove it up your ass again.
- 15:10So my whole point here is that again, Shay Otani is involved
- 15:15with his scheme that he now everybody is claiming or
- 15:18somebody or people are claiming, well, he knew nothing about and
- 15:23but his name was stamped to it. So it's going to be brushed on
- 15:26the rug because of it. And if the story does grow legs,
- 15:31I'm sure there's going to be some kind of proof that Sheryl
- 15:34Atani knew about this story and was trying to scheme away to
- 15:38make more money off this deal. Because remember, these guys
- 15:41that are involved with this deal are multimillionaires.
- 15:44There probably are there. I mean, if they're putting
- 15:47whoever put $240 million in, if it's not Sheryl Tani, they're
- 15:51putting their own, they're multi billionaires if they're throwing
- 15:53that kind of money into, you know, a luxury housing project.
- 15:57So again, I, I realized that baseball is not doing the right
- 16:04thing with this guy. They're letting this guy get
- 16:06away because of his name, because of who he is nationally,
- 16:10and because he's the face or one of the faces of professional
- 16:13baseball. But again, when is it going to
- 16:16be enough? When is baseball going to drop
- 16:18the hammer on this guy? When are they going to
- 16:21investigate this guy and take this seriously?
- 16:24Because they're not. This guy has been a part of two
- 16:28schemes, 2 of the biggest ones we've heard in the last 10 years
- 16:33of professional baseball. You remember the other one, the
- 16:35steroids. The steroids was the last big
- 16:38scheme. Now you're talking about sports
- 16:40better. We, we just, we're talking.
- 16:42About unless you. Unless you count the Spider Tack
- 16:45you. Know.
- 16:45No, that's not. There wasn't really money.
- 16:49There wasn't really money made off that.
- 16:51I mean, Spider Tack has been going on for years.
- 16:54Just like we we talk about all these sports that people were
- 16:57cheating and finding a ways to get over on certain sports.
- 17:00I mean, in football with the Deflategate, I mean, you think
- 17:04Tom Brady was the only guy doing that.
- 17:06Come on, Drew Brees was probably doing that.
- 17:09Peyton Manning was probably doing it.
- 17:11Eli made all of them were doing it.
- 17:12So it was just because obviously in the NFL they couldn't, they
- 17:17couldn't get them for Spygate, So they had to do something.
- 17:23And if they didn't do anything, the owners were going to drop
- 17:25the hammer on Rodger Goodell because Rodger Goodell and
- 17:27Robert Kraft were so very close. They were hanging out and
- 17:30fishing together. So and that's how they turned
- 17:33they they turned for best friends to enemies after
- 17:36Deflategate. I just think that Major League
- 17:39Baseball should investigate this a little bit deeper, take this
- 17:42more seriously. I you cannot just lay this, lay
- 17:46this under, you know, under the rug or brush it under the rug or
- 17:50throw it out and make it seem like it's nothing, $240 million
- 17:53isn't nothing to think about. That's a lot of money.
- 17:57And if he's putting, OK, and if you can't, you can't do anything
- 18:00to him. Maybe sit down with Shay Otani
- 18:03and have a conversation with him and tell him why are you putting
- 18:06yourself around these idiots? You're putting yourself around
- 18:09these idiots that are getting you in trouble, that are putting
- 18:12you in the tabloids, putting you in, you know, stories where it's
- 18:17just going to get worse for you. And eventually the stories are
- 18:21going to get worse and it's eventually going to catch up to
- 18:24them. Eventually he could get caught
- 18:26too and if there's enough connections to these because
- 18:29these are two different, very different worlds, even though
- 18:31they're both money, one's sports betting, this one's real estate,
- 18:34there could be a lot of people that try to take advantage of it
- 18:37like that too. Whether he how evolved he is or
- 18:40not, it is the second time around.
- 18:41So there's going to be a chain reaction to this kind of thing
- 18:44where if it does add up over time, whether it's in Japan,
- 18:47whether it's in LA or other, in this case in Hawaii, there's
- 18:50going to be another case like that.
- 18:52And now this is a case of obviously him wanting.
- 18:54He'll never get get caught in Japan.
- 18:56No, probably not. He'll never get caught in Japan,
- 18:58but the guys are God. They're going to build statues.
- 19:01They're going to. He's going to be the king of
- 19:03Japan by the time he's done with professional baseball.
- 19:05He'll buy Japan with the money that this guy's making right now
- 19:09in endorsements and the deferred money that the Dodgers owe him.
- 19:13The guy's going to buy Japan by the time he's done with
- 19:16professional baseball. I mean that that's there's no
- 19:19argument to that. I mean, how much money is this
- 19:21guy bringing in yearly? How much years left does he have
- 19:25in baseball? How old is he, 3031?
- 19:27He just signed what, a 12 year deal with the Dodgers?
- 19:31Yeah. So I think it's now enter, enter
- 19:33year 2 and he has nine more years.
- 19:35Left by the time he's done, he'll be 4041 years old.
- 19:38How much money do you think this man is going to have?
- 19:41You're talking about 3-4, maybe $5 billion that he's made.
- 19:45He's going to be able to buy his own professional baseball team.
- 19:48He'll buy his own God damn island, you know, right next to
- 19:52Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.
- 19:54How about that? I mean, the guy's making so much
- 19:56money now and. That's why he has to be careful
- 19:59before he ends up getting caught with the.
- 20:01Ultimate wrong because again, there's enough of these that add
- 20:03up in different walks of life too.
- 20:06And we've seen it in football too.
- 20:07A lot of guys that end up getting caught, football players
- 20:10getting caught in season. Michael Kendrick's most recent
- 20:12one with a financial scheme, he was suspended for a whole year
- 20:15when he was with the Browns. The Giants had a couple players,
- 20:17Will Allen and James Butler I think was the other one was a
- 20:19safety that was caught in a lot of different things like that.
- 20:22So there's enough of those that can go around with a guy still
- 20:25playing too. So you do have to be careful,
- 20:27especially internationally speaking where these guys can
- 20:29get involved of where these money is going.
- 20:31I don't know Blaylo if. Miss me?
- 20:33Well, what would you consider the ultimate like?
- 20:36I mean, 240 schmills ain't nothing to ride home.
- 20:40No, no, I know that. I'm talking about like the types
- 20:42of people and the types of investments that are getting.
- 20:44In oh, like it's the involvement with the people.
- 20:46'S mind spending. Versus real estate, what is more
- 20:49of? What I'm getting at, because he
- 20:51has enough money where he's going to get, like you said, all
- 20:53this endorsement money plus the contract he's already getting
- 20:55with the Dodgers, Like how much more other investments are you
- 20:58going to make? You just got.
- 20:58To be careful. Nobody's attacking him for the
- 21:00investment, said he's putting if it, if it's a fair investment
- 21:04and he's not scheming something or he's not involved with the
- 21:07scheme, all the power to him. Invest what you want.
- 21:10Do whatever the hell you want. You want to stamp your name to
- 21:12it, do it, Errol. So here's the thing.
- 21:15This is where you can defend Otani.
- 21:17I'm not. I'm not defending.
- 21:18I'm I'm. Let let me let me say this
- 21:20because you need to hear who Belalo is.
- 21:23He's the head of the baseball division of CAA.
- 21:26He's not just some random agent that he's in bed with, He's one
- 21:30of the top 50 most powerful agents in all sports six years
- 21:34in a row according to this article I have open here from
- 21:37him. I mean, he's talking up how
- 21:39great he is in this article. CAAA is the one that might be in
- 21:45the biggest amount of trouble right here.
- 21:46No, they're. Not what are they doing making
- 21:49land deals, using their guys as leverage to, to try to like
- 21:54strong arm land real estate deals.
- 21:56That is, I mean, that's a big time money.
- 22:01I mean, we're seeing 240 million sued just from two guys.
- 22:04There's a lot more than that money wise going on here.
- 22:07If that's the only thing that we've seen so far, it's there's
- 22:11something interesting going on at CAA and I think that people
- 22:14are going to start paying a lot closer attention because this
- 22:17guy, it wasn't just some rogue agent.
- 22:20He's in charge of the entire baseball division, then.
- 22:22CAA is one of the high profiled agencies in the world.
- 22:28They're they're top three. Are they in trouble?
- 22:31No, because baseball is connected with them.
- 22:34Baseball, half of their players are probably working with CAA.
- 22:38So I, I think obviously these guys are going to be paid off or
- 22:42something's going to be done where things are going to be
- 22:45brushed under the rug. Baseball's not even their
- 22:47biggest department. Right.
- 22:48No, no, football and basketball are and I know a couple of
- 22:52basketball players. You know, Actor actors is how it
- 22:55started. That's why it's Creative Artists
- 22:57Agency. No, I know.
- 22:59Yeah, there's, there's the the modeling and the acting is one
- 23:02of the biggest parts. I said no to them, by the way.
- 23:06New York is and LA are two very big places that they are very
- 23:11popular in, especially their agencies.
- 23:13And if you go and check it out in LA, Hollywood is, is one of
- 23:17their agencies and the other one is in Manhattan, right Square in
- 23:20the heart of Manhattan is CAA and the their agency.
- 23:24How do I know this? Well, I've been on the phone
- 23:26with a couple of their agents over the last couple of years.
- 23:30So I know a little bit about CAA and I know they're a big
- 23:34organization that has very has a lot of connections when it comes
- 23:39to professional athletes, not just baseball, but basketball
- 23:41and football. But again, going back to Otani
- 23:44and my thoughts to Otani is to me what baseball needs to do is
- 23:51sit down with this kid. He has a kid, he's 3031 years
- 23:54old. We all know he's making $100
- 23:57million a year off his endorsements and his
- 24:00sponsorships. Sit down with the kid and say to
- 24:02him, listen, you are the face of professional baseball worldwide.
- 24:09If you are going to be the face of our organization, you need to
- 24:14put yourself around people that are going to make you grow, not
- 24:19bring you down. And I'm not saying CAA and Nez
- 24:23Blaylo is, is a guy that'll put you down, but obviously he was
- 24:27using his name to scheme something to make him more
- 24:30money. That to me tells me you need to
- 24:33stay away from this guy. You need to stay away from CAA.
- 24:36You need to stay away from guys that are going to use your name
- 24:39to benefit themselves and not benefit you.
- 24:41And right now, for where the story is going, he is his name
- 24:46stamped all over this. So it tells me baseball needs to
- 24:50investigate it. Because if they're going to tell
- 24:53me right now that this man knew nothing about this, that's a
- 24:57lie. It's an absolute lie.
- 24:59And by the way, Carl, Carl was saying asking.
- 25:03Asking isn't Atani's current deal deferred, meaning he isn't
- 25:08making that much now. But it's is, I mean, is owed the
- 25:12ridiculous amount later. He is, yes, he's getting
- 25:16deferred money in the future. He's making $100 million a year
- 25:19in endorsements and sponsors. So by the time he gets his
- 25:22deferred money, he's already going to be a billionaire if
- 25:26he's not already with some of the moves in some of the
- 25:29endorsements that he's he's making money off of right now.
- 25:32So he's already the richest baseball player in professional
- 25:36baseball. There's nobody even close to
- 25:38him, even Juan Soto making 60 million a year.
- 25:41And, and Juan Soto is getting the money upfront.
- 25:44He's still making more money than Juan Soto is yearly without
- 25:48even getting his money from the Dodgers.
- 25:50So yeah, it when you when you're talking about a guy that's
- 25:53bringing in ridiculous money. And obviously it would bother me
- 25:56if I was a professional baseball player like Aaron Judge or any
- 25:59of these guys. And you're hearing this story.
- 26:02And this guy, this is the second story in two years that he is a
- 26:06part of. And again, this story is going
- 26:09to be brushed under the rug that he has nothing to do with or his
- 26:12name's just stamped to it and nobody cares.
- 26:14Cares that Otani has been a part of these stories.
- 26:16Well. Let me ask you, why would it
- 26:18bother you? It's not affecting your money.
- 26:20It's not bothering me. It's bothering me, no.
- 26:22I'm saying you said if it was, if you were a player in the
- 26:25league, like, why would it bother you?
- 26:26Why would it bother Aaron Judge? Who cares?
- 26:29You ask them, but it's. It's not affecting his money.
- 26:32What Otani does does not affect Aaron Judge's money.
- 26:35It's it's affecting the league's integrity, is it not?
- 26:39Well, if nothing happens to him, no it doesn't.
- 26:42I think. All these guys getting in
- 26:43trouble in the NFL, you don't think that affects integrity?
- 26:46They're still making billions of dollars.
- 26:48You think they care? No, there are players out there
- 26:52that absolutely care. As we all know, some of these
- 26:55veteran players that are retired are stepping in and wondering
- 26:58why these players are making the money that they're making now.
- 27:01And they weren't making anywhere close to that kind of money in
- 27:04the 90s and the early 2000s. But obviously with the the CBA
- 27:09and, and all these different TV deals, the money is starting to
- 27:11pour in. So job, I understand what you're
- 27:13saying, but the players, you're going to tell me that there's
- 27:16over 250 or 300 players in the major leagues, they're not going
- 27:19to care that Otani is a part of these stories.
- 27:22And and Otani has been a part of all these all these stories that
- 27:26could turn into something that's going to smack baseball in the
- 27:29face. Obviously sport you're wrong
- 27:31because sports betting is right now it's growing legs around the
- 27:35country in professional sports. And he's if you're if you're
- 27:38looking at that story, he's invested more money in sports
- 27:41betting than any professional athlete.
- 27:44And it was brushed under the rug and the FBI was investigating it
- 27:47for two weeks when they were offshore accounts all over.
- 27:51And they were. How many accounts does Cheryl
- 27:53Tony have 5-6 accountants and none of them came out and said
- 27:57anything that he didn't know that 20 something $1,000,000 was
- 28:00missing out of his accounts. Now come on, Joppa, you're going
- 28:03to tell me that players weren't saying something.
- 28:05We've had guys on this show before you even game on the show
- 28:08that were attacking Shay Otani. I don't I don't know them, but
- 28:11it I I think you do shits who's who's the guy?
- 28:14I think they're less. Who's the guy that brought up to
- 28:17Shay Otani? Speedy?
- 28:18I'm just saying. I'm just saying, me personally,
- 28:20I don't know anybody else. I can't speak for other people.
- 28:23For me, what he does in his time with his money, it doesn't
- 28:26affect. Me, I know.
- 28:28I know who it was. It was Mike Pinto, one of the
- 28:30times we had. Him.
- 28:31It wasn't Pinto, wasn't it, actually?
- 28:32What the hell is that? It was.
- 28:34Who's the guy? The, the, the, I forget the
- 28:39mathematical guy. He Jabba knows him.
- 28:41He was talking about steroids. Oh, Ryan Spader, Ryan Spader.
- 28:44Ryan Spader. Ryan Spader took shots at Shay
- 28:50Otani and Ryan Spader is very well respected around the
- 28:52baseball world. Spader is my dude.
- 28:54We we go at it all the. Time and Ryan Spader had came
- 28:57out and said that there's no doubt in his mind that Shay
- 28:59Otani knew that he was in. He was so knees deep into that
- 29:04scandal. He said there is no way Shay
- 29:07Otani didn't know that there was 18 to $20 million missing out of
- 29:10his account. There's no way even a rich guy
- 29:13like that, you can't tell me that he, he didn't know that $20
- 29:16million was missing out of his account.
- 29:19I mean even you job, you're going to tell me if you had $100
- 29:23million, you didn't know that 2012 or $20 million was missing
- 29:27out of your account? Yeah, I mean I but this has
- 29:29nothing to do. It doesn't affect me, so why do
- 29:31I care? It doesn't affect you, but it it
- 29:35in other players eyes, it does affect them in their eyes.
- 29:38They listen, I'll get a baseball player on this show and I don't
- 29:41care if you OK. One that I know.
- 29:45Kevin Mensch, he was on the show, you know.
- 29:47Yeah, I know. Yeah, OK.
- 29:49Keep going. Like, give me Kevin Mensch
- 29:52didn't make $100 million. But that's not the point.
- 29:56What We're talking about baseball players that played in
- 29:59the Major League. And that's but that's their own
- 30:01opinion. It doesn't affect.
- 30:02I, I, I, I know it doesn't affect you.
- 30:05That's not my argument here. My argument here is that it does
- 30:10bother players and it does affect them.
- 30:12Maybe it doesn't affect you, but it's affected or has affected
- 30:16other players in the league. Now.
- 30:18Now, if I had a list of guys that said yes or no, then I
- 30:21could tell you, oh, this guy said it, that guy said it, but
- 30:24you're one guy that says it doesn't affect you, so you don't
- 30:27care. But I'm sure there's a list of
- 30:29players that have come out and said that has affected them.
- 30:33Maybe not their money, but it's affected the game and the
- 30:35integrity of the game. That's what I'm saying anyways.
- 30:40We could go back and forth on this.
- 30:41All right, ladies and gentlemen, our deuce of the day.
- 30:44The deuce of the day, You log. Not a log.
- 30:47I don't have a log, but no. Oh, right.
- 30:57The deuce of the day. And we got to go quick because
- 30:59our guest is waiting. Our deuce of the day goes to
- 31:01Shidor Sanders. Ladies and gentlemen.
- 31:03Shidor Sanders is out and about as a story comes out that he
- 31:09injured himself. Yes, he's injured and could be
- 31:11out a significant amount of time.
- 31:13As we've heard, the backup quarterback of the backup
- 31:17quarterback of the backup quarterback are now injured.
- 31:22Who's left, ladies and gentlemen?
- 31:23The one and very own Joe Flacco as all Dylan Gabriel.
- 31:30Who's the other guy? Kenny Pick.
- 31:31Kenny Pick and now should door Sanders.
- 31:35All three of them are injured and could be out a significant
- 31:38amount of time. Obviously he tweaked them.
- 31:41What was it? I think he tweaked his his
- 31:44oblique, which is I don't know how bad it is for football.
- 31:48I know for wide receivers and tight ends.
- 31:50They're bad for quarterbacks. I don't know I I who's the last
- 31:54quarterback that that. Cam Newton I think had.
- 31:57One, was it Cam Newton? I think it was.
- 31:59Was it Russell Wilson? Maybe you're right, yeah.
- 32:01It was Russell Wilson, I think was the last quarterback that I
- 32:03can remember that pulled in oblique muscle and was out a
- 32:07significant amount of time. But obviously this is a pretty
- 32:13significant injury. And what does that tell you
- 32:16about the Cleveland Browns? Well, six quarterbacks on the
- 32:19roster might not be enough. They might have to add 1 or
- 32:23maybe even two more to a roster. Think about this right now.
- 32:27Going into pre season, they had six quarterbacks on their
- 32:31roster. Now you have 3 quarterbacks that
- 32:34are hurt. Could you imagine them have 8 or
- 32:379 quarterbacks to a roster? It, it, I mean, it's it's
- 32:40absolutely astonishing the way the the way the Browns are
- 32:45running their organization right now.
- 32:46And the only one that's healthy is the old man himself, the guy
- 32:50that came off his parent sofa, Joe Flacco.
- 32:54So my deuce of the day goes not to Shadora Sanders.
- 32:56No, no, no. The Cleveland Browns.
- 32:59That's the deuce of the day. How stupid could an organization
- 33:03be as they keep adding quarterback after quarterback
- 33:07after quarterback and now another 1A youngster who could
- 33:12be out a significant amount of time.
- 33:13That's it for our show, ladies and gentlemen.
- 33:15I hope everybody enjoyed it. I didn't.
- 33:18Anyways, thank you to our very special guests.
- 33:23They were fantastic. They really were.
- 33:25I I appreciate both of them. I will say this, I I'm
- 33:30definitely going to reach out to Bob Rathben for joining us.
- 33:34He's sensational. He really was.
- 33:36And and Mr. Lovic, dude, I've been dealing with my own shit
- 33:40during the show. I don't know if you guys would
- 33:42have done the show when you when you get a freaking text the way
- 33:45you did knowing that your sister's in the hospital.
- 33:47So I've been dealing with that over the last 4 1/2 hours.
- 33:52I don't know if I'm going to Saint John's after this.
- 33:54I might, I might do that. I don't know.
- 33:56So, but anyways, thank you to all the fans on obviously,

- 34:27Donald Trump. Donald.
- 34:29Trump, Jaden Fielder, Who is the son?
- 34:31That's when Fish won't be the executive producer of the show.
- 34:34Wrong. Jaden Fielder, the son of Prince
- 34:36Fielder and the grandson of Cecil Fielder, left fielder and
- 34:402nd baseman, is currently in the Milwaukee Brewers organization
- 34:43will be joining us at 8:45. Tender.
- 34:45Anyways, there you go. So we got somebody on Monday.

- 35:07I might go to a card show and offload some of these Pokémon.
- 35:10Cards. There you go.
- 35:12It sounds like a good time I I think.
- 35:14My son is like stoked about it if we go, so yeah.
- 35:19Well, I'm, I'm, it's my, it's my niece's birthday.
- 35:21We're going down to see her. Happy birthday.

- 35:46Dead man's Dick. All right, that's it.
- 35:48Good night, everybody. We'll talk to you then.
- 35:51It's the Worldwide sports Radio network.
- 35:53Radio Network.
