- 0:00SPEAKER_50: Well, I think you're going to hear a lot today.
- 0:02SPEAKER_50: I'm in Dallas right now.
- 0:03SPEAKER_50: I was with a speaker last night.
- 0:04SPEAKER_50: He makes a very important case.
- 0:06SPEAKER_50: One thing that doesn't seem to be getting covered very much at all, Stuart, is the fact that job growth is on the rebound.
- 0:12SPEAKER_50: We've got exceptional job growth in the private sector.
- 0:14SPEAKER_50: Wages are growing again.
- 0:16SPEAKER_50: That was not the case under Joe Biden, where wages are growing at half the rate of inflation.
- 0:20SPEAKER_50: Under Biden, you know, we had inflation over 9%.
- 0:22SPEAKER_50: We brought that down.
- 0:24SPEAKER_50: We're focusing on areas I've got the Freedom to Build Act that targets the incredibly high cost of housing right now, the bureaucrat tax, as it's called, the cost of permitting before you even build the house can be as high as$100,000 in some areas.
- 0:37SPEAKER_50: Dealing with this bureaucratic overhead, again, the this the speaker mentioned no tax on tips, no tax on overtimes.
- 0:43SPEAKER_50: All of this, all these policies are aimed at bringing affordability right to the surface, and we're going to be focused on it very, very much.
- 0:50SPEAKER_50: We feel the pain that the American people are talking about.
- 0:52SPEAKER_50: We know the origin of that.
- 0:53SPEAKER_50: We were dealt a very bad head coming out of Joe Biden.
- 0:56SPEAKER_50: But I think what you'll hear the next couple of days are the programs and the policies that are aimed at dealing with this.
- 1:00SPEAKER_50: If you look to the other side, what have the Democrats' options been?
- 1:04SPEAKER_50: The only thing that they've delivered since President Trump took office is two historically long government shutdowns.
- 1:10SPEAKER_50: That's certainly not been good for the economy.
- 1:11SPEAKER_50: In fact, it's taken GDP growth off.
- 1:13SPEAKER_50: That's their solution.
- 1:14SPEAKER_50: Our solution is actually to target the problems, deal with deregulation, get energy independence greater.
- 1:19SPEAKER_50: We're producing at a higher level than we ever had before.
- 1:20SPEAKER_50: And by the way, President Trump will resolve the situation in the Middle East, and that will bring medium-to-long-term stability to the oil and energy markets, and we'll see much greater prosperity from there.
- 1:30SPEAKER_06: That was uh Senator Bill Haggerty earlier this week outlining why Republicans should be optimistic going into the kickoff of yesterday's RNC in Dallas in uh a new uh midterm Republican national convention that we will be talking about quite a bit on the show this morning.
- 1:52SPEAKER_41: I love your show.
- 2:28SPEAKER_06: This morning.
- 2:28SPEAKER_06: It is a John Justice show presented by American Experiment, AmericanExperiment.org.
- 2:33SPEAKER_06: You can listen there on the website, but we encourage you, if you haven't done so already, to download the Mix LR app.
- 2:40SPEAKER_06: If you watch the show, but then you have to go and move on with your day.
- 2:44SPEAKER_06: You can download the app, listen to the show live, 6 until 9 a.m.
- 2:48SPEAKER_06: Podcasts are posted there in the app once the show concludes and across all the major platforms.
- 2:53SPEAKER_06: You can watch the show on my feed on X, also at Center of the American Experiments, Facebook and uh YouTube pages.
- 3:01SPEAKER_06: When I got here this morning, the uh my key fob wouldn't work.
- 3:05SPEAKER_06: It wouldn't let me let me in the building.
- 3:07SPEAKER_06: And so I had to uh thankfully, uh Bill Walsh was I sent the group.
- 3:13SPEAKER_06: I'm sure they all appreciated my texting to the group chat this morning at a very early hour, but uh I found uh another way in.
- 3:19SPEAKER_06: I think the power must have gone out because like the AC wasn't running, the computers have all been reset.
- 3:24SPEAKER_06: I saw a maintenance guy in the hallway when I went to go grab uh producer Devin, who's with us this morning.
- 3:29SPEAKER_06: Good morning, Devin.
- 3:30SPEAKER_06: But uh he didn't he didn't have any good he didn't have any good answers for us.
- 3:34SPEAKER_06: So I think my assessment was solid.
- 3:36SPEAKER_06: But we're here and we have a show to get to.
- 3:38SPEAKER_06: We have a lot of audio to play on the show today.
- 3:41SPEAKER_06: Uh Trump spoke last night for what, an hour and 45 minutes?
- 3:46SPEAKER_06: Ended up proposing something that I don't think anybody was expecting at this point in time.
- 3:51SPEAKER_06: Some Trump dividend checks.
- 3:53SPEAKER_06: Much to talk about regarding Trump and$5,000 dividend checks, depending on the outcome of the midterms.
- 4:01SPEAKER_06: So we have a ton, as I mentioned, of audio to share from the opening night of the Republican National Convention.
- 4:08SPEAKER_06: It seems to be at a very, a very enthusiastic event to kick things off.
- 4:12SPEAKER_06: So um, Congressman gubernatorial candidate in Wisconsin, Tom Tiffany, will be joining us this morning.
- 4:17SPEAKER_06: I believe he's on the ground in Dallas.
- 4:20SPEAKER_06: That'll be at uh 7:30 today.
- 4:22SPEAKER_06: Uh, candidates, Republican uh nominee for state auditor here in Minnesota, Scott Jensen, will be joining us on the Center of the American Experiment Studio sofas at uh 8.30 this morning.
- 4:35SPEAKER_06: Tomorrow on the show, uh, I forgot.
- 4:37SPEAKER_06: I said full house, not a full house tomorrow.
- 4:39SPEAKER_06: A.K.
- 4:39SPEAKER_06: Kamara is actually in Dallas at the RNC.
- 4:42SPEAKER_06: As I speak, we should be hearing from him via uh the blaster line.
- 4:47SPEAKER_06: Uh maybe not today, but probably tomorrow for Freedom Friday.
- 4:51SPEAKER_06: Uh, we will have Max Reimer, uh, Catherine and Grace here from Center of the American Experiment in studio tomorrow, and uh Representative Tom Emmer, who is at the RNC, and from what I can uh gather, gave one of the strongest speeches uh last night next to President Donald Trump, albeit much shorter.
- 5:12SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna share it with you in its uh entirety.
- 5:15SPEAKER_06: It's about four or five uh minutes.
- 5:18SPEAKER_06: We'll do this uh probably right around the end of this hour or the beginning of uh of next hour.
- 5:23SPEAKER_06: I went in and I trimmed out all the applause lines to shorten it, uh, to shorten it up.
- 5:28SPEAKER_06: But we'll certainly get into everything that was uh said uh last night in the opening night of the RNC.
- 5:32SPEAKER_06: Want to hear from you throughout the uh show this morning uh the blaster line for your voice or text messages.
- 5:39SPEAKER_06: Brand new 651-964-0294.
- 5:43SPEAKER_06: Again, 651-964-0294.
- 5:46SPEAKER_06: We already have some blasts that rolled in that we'll be sharing with you as we move into our Republican National Convention for the midterm coverage at this hour.
- 5:57SPEAKER_06: I want to start here.
- 5:58SPEAKER_06: I've been holding on to this one for a few days as people arrive to the show on a Thursday morning.
- 6:04SPEAKER_06: And thank you to everybody who's uh joined us today.
- 6:06SPEAKER_06: We are uh listen, we're thrilled with the response of the show uh so far.
- 6:10SPEAKER_06: Uh it's been uh it's been growing ever since we launched, a little over a month ago here at American Experiment.
- 6:17SPEAKER_06: And uh I'm thrilled.
- 6:18SPEAKER_06: Everybody here is thrilled with just the response.
- 6:21SPEAKER_06: And it's all because of you uh tuning in uh every single uh every single day.
- 6:25SPEAKER_06: Uh so I just wanted to extend my gratitude and say thanks so much for uh for doing that.
- 6:29SPEAKER_06: Remember, you can email john.justice at americanexperiment.org.
- 6:34SPEAKER_06: Uh, but much was said uh by the uh Senator Bill Haggertin outlining the Republicans being optimistic.
- 6:41SPEAKER_06: And the whole reason for this RNC for the midterms is attempting to defy what traditionally happens, and that is the party in power ends up losing that power in the midterm elections.
- 6:54SPEAKER_06: It's happened twice uh over the course of uh, I mean, decades upon decades.
- 6:59SPEAKER_06: Uh, the most recent time this happened was post-9-11 when George Bush was in office, and the country was united for uh together for the last time.
- 7:12SPEAKER_06: Of course, tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 7:15SPEAKER_06: We'll be spending quite a bit of time talking about that on uh on tomorrow's show.
- 7:18SPEAKER_06: But Senator uh Bill Haggerty was talking about the comparison between Trump's second term and the four years of former president uh Joe Biden.
- 7:28SPEAKER_06: Of course, we're already looking to 2028.
- 7:32SPEAKER_06: We're already looking at the GOP candidates.
- 7:34SPEAKER_06: There are a lot of fantastic the bench for the GOP is stellar.
- 7:39SPEAKER_06: It really, really is.
- 7:41SPEAKER_06: Um, so it provides a lot of options for conservatives heading into 2028.
- 7:46SPEAKER_06: On the uh Democrat side, not so much.
- 7:51SPEAKER_06: I would say their bench isn't quite as uh uh isn't quite as solid as the GOP's uh is.
- 7:57SPEAKER_06: Maybe this individual uh can uh help turn things around.
- 8:02SPEAKER_06: So Hunter Biden in an interview uh last week suggested that he might uh run for president in 2028.
- 8:11SPEAKER_06: You know, I would say stranger things have happened, but does Krako make you act any differently?
- 8:16SPEAKER_38: No.
- 8:17SPEAKER_38: Is it safer than alcohol?
- 8:19SPEAKER_38: Probably.
- 8:21SPEAKER_06: So, according to the New York Post, they call it a real pipe dream.
- 8:25SPEAKER_06: Get it?
- 8:26SPEAKER_06: Because of the pipe dream.
- 8:29SPEAKER_06: Yeah, okay.
- 8:29SPEAKER_06: Uh, that Hunter Biden may try to follow in his father's footsteps of the Oval Office, revealing in an upcoming interview uh the scandal scorned a son, a first son, 56 years old, said he may have to run for president in 2028 during an interview with billionaire supermarket mogul John uh Castimandis on his WABC Cat's Roundtable Radio show.
- 8:53SPEAKER_06: This aired over the weekend, and I wanted to uh uh share with you some of Hunter Biden's uh comments.
- 8:58SPEAKER_06: But to have it on the South Lawn of the White House, it was only So he starts off talking about the the UFC event.
- 9:08SPEAKER_06: And I'm always interested because I just find it incredibly entertaining to hear when leftists go and inject their opinion of what they think President Donald Trump was thinking in the actions that he that he takes.
- 9:28SPEAKER_06: I just I it just it's never not fascinating to me to hear a leftist perspective of what they believe the thinking of President Donald Trump is only done for one reason.
- 9:41SPEAKER_38: It's because Donald Trump wanted to say, I own this house.
- 9:45SPEAKER_38: I can do whatever I want with it.
- 9:48SPEAKER_38: I can pave over the rose garden.
- 9:50SPEAKER_38: Yeah, I can put gold, um, uh uh gold leaf on every single surface.
- 9:57SPEAKER_38: I can put marble um from uh you know from foreign lands um where it used to be Pennsylvania granite.
- 10:06SPEAKER_38: I can erase the names of all the men that came before me because this house is my house.
- 10:12SPEAKER_38: And it's not, it is fundamentally not.
- 10:15SPEAKER_38: The thing that has made the United States the United States is that whoever sat behind that desk in the Oval Office from George Washington until now was only a temporary resident.
- 10:28SPEAKER_38: They were a servant to the people that were in that house by virtue of the fact that they won an election and were sent to lead.
- 10:36SPEAKER_38: The house is the people's house.
- 10:38SPEAKER_38: It's not Donald Trump's house.
- 10:40SPEAKER_38: And everything that he is doing in the United States of America is with our monuments, with the Kennedy Center, with the reflecting pool, with the arch that he wants to build, with the statues of himself that he's erecting, he's saying, This country belongs to me.
- 10:57SPEAKER_38: I own it, I own these things.
- 10:59SPEAKER_38: I own the reflecting pool, I own the Kennedy Center.
- 11:03SPEAKER_38: And um, which is literally no president ever that's come before him.
- 11:07SPEAKER_38: So, long, long answer to the question of do I think that um they are right, that it's fundamentally different.
- 11:13SPEAKER_38: I think not only is it fundamentally different, uh, it is we are there.
- 11:20SPEAKER_06: You know, the sad part is in the world that we live in right now, that um Hunter Biden running for office, I don't think he would have the chance to win the nomination.
- 11:32SPEAKER_06: That being said, he would probably mount more of a formidable challenge than one would expect, given his background and the slate of candidates that the Democrats plan on uh running.
- 11:49SPEAKER_06: Listen, I want him to run just from the entertainment value alone.
- 11:52SPEAKER_06: I think that would be I think that would be uh absolutely uh amazing.
- 11:57SPEAKER_06: So uh so Hunter Biden, 2028.
- 12:01SPEAKER_06: We'll see if that uh we'll see if that shakes out.
- 12:03SPEAKER_06: Uh let's go here to the blaster line this morning, 651-964-0294.
- 12:08SPEAKER_16: Good morning, John.
- 12:08SPEAKER_16: It's Lorenzo from Lakeville.
- 12:10SPEAKER_16: Just calling to say, God bless Charlie Kirk.
- 12:13SPEAKER_16: God bless you, God bless the friends of the show, and God bless the foes of the show.
- 12:20SPEAKER_16: Have a good morning, everybody.
- 12:21SPEAKER_06: Thank you so uh thank you so much for that, and God bless to you as well, uh, Lorenzo.
- 12:25SPEAKER_06: I um I I genuinely appreciate it.
- 12:28SPEAKER_06: And uh to your comments of the foes of the show.
- 12:31SPEAKER_06: So uh Eric from Brainerd, also known as Mildred, also known as Mildred from Benson, uh left it a uh a blast.
- 12:40SPEAKER_06: I'm not playing it.
- 12:43SPEAKER_06: He starts off, she starts off, whoever they are, starts off with happy Kirkiversary.
- 12:49SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm not playing it.
- 12:51SPEAKER_06: They do this challenge in it saying, let's see if you play this whole thing or just cut off my best points.
- 12:56SPEAKER_06: No, I'm not.
- 12:58SPEAKER_06: Because all you want to do is derail the show.
- 13:00SPEAKER_06: I've read through the comments from Mildred, and it's nothing but misinformed speculation over what they believe Charlie Kirk's response uh would have been to what's taking place right now and what was said at the RNC.
- 13:15SPEAKER_06: In now, we have more important things to dive into, including um nonsense that's more important than hearing from Mildred in Benson, who likes to call themselves Eric from Brainerd.
- 13:26SPEAKER_06: So uh no, I'm not playing your ridiculous commentary.
- 13:29SPEAKER_06: Uh, if you want to provide something of substance, that's not just your own speculation over what individuals who are no longer with us would believe or or think.
- 13:41SPEAKER_06: You don't want to instigate, you want to actually add to the conversation, feel free.
- 13:46SPEAKER_06: But I'm not playing your incendiary uh comments when your intent is just to go and derail uh the show.
- 13:53SPEAKER_06: So not happening.
- 13:54SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much for listening, though.
- 13:56SPEAKER_06: I do uh genuinely appreciate that.
- 13:59SPEAKER_06: President Trump delivered the keynote speech at the GOP midterm convention, highlighting the second-term achievements, urging Republicans to vote to maintain the majority in Congress.
- 14:09SPEAKER_06: He emphasized his immigration policy, economic uh success, and warned against the dangers of electing Democrats.
- 14:16SPEAKER_06: Trump also promised a$5,000 dividend to every adult if Republicans hold the House and Senate.
- 14:26SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna get to that coming up uh in just a moment here on the show.
- 14:30SPEAKER_06: Let me start, though, uh, with a blast that rolled in overnight.
- 14:34SPEAKER_06: Somebody that was watching uh the speech last night wanted to share their comments, and then I'll share with you uh some of the comments.
- 14:41SPEAKER_06: I have a lot of clips of President Donald Trump this morning, including when he made the announcement on the$5,000 dividend checks.
- 14:48SPEAKER_06: But first, uh let's go and uh hear from, I believe this is friend of the show, BJ, on the blaster line at 651-964-0294.
- 14:56SPEAKER_26: Hey John, just got done watching Trump's speech.
- 15:00SPEAKER_26: This is DJ from St.
- 15:02SPEAKER_26: Michael.
- 15:03SPEAKER_26: Um pretty standard Trump speech, but at$5,000.
- 15:30SPEAKER_26: That's terrible.
- 15:34SPEAKER_26: Communism.
- 15:35SPEAKER_06: Okay, let me stop here.
- 15:35SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna play the rest of his his comments.
- 15:38SPEAKER_06: Um you don't have enough information, no offense.
- 15:42SPEAKER_06: You don't have enough information yet to make a determination like that.
- 15:46SPEAKER_06: And it's a mistake, in my opinion, to jump to this that's communism ick.
- 15:51SPEAKER_06: I understand the trepidation, I have it too.
- 15:54SPEAKER_06: And I'll address that coming up.
- 15:57SPEAKER_06: But it's a mistake to go and play into the word games that the left plays or assign something like labeling this as communism, when again, we don't have the necessary details yet.
- 16:12SPEAKER_06: And that diminishes the actual communism that we see playing out across the country with the candidates that have gained ground, that are running in these midterm elections, who describe themselves as Democrat socialists, but are indeed straight up communists.
- 16:28SPEAKER_06: Before I play the rest of BJ's comment, let me play you this quick clip from uh President Donald Trump last night.
- 16:33SPEAKER_41: These are people who do not care if your country is invaded by illegal immigrants, if your home is burglarized, if your parks and city streets are turned to filth and squalor and debt, if your loved ones are pushed in front of a subway train in New York City or stabbed in the middle of a field in any state you want to pick.
- 16:56SPEAKER_41: They don't care because they hate our country.
- 16:59SPEAKER_41: And they are Democrats, and they're very, very wrong.
- 17:05SPEAKER_26: That was bad.
- 17:09SPEAKER_26: If that's the best Republicans can deliver on the affordability question, that's really, really bad.
- 17:17SPEAKER_06: But let me also let me also say here, just to address this as we move through um your your your comments, but it's not the only thing that Republicans are running on when it comes to affordability.
- 17:30SPEAKER_06: Um you know, I assume BJ's a friend.
- 17:32SPEAKER_06: It sounds uh an awful lot like a like a setup call based off of his reaction to this, and then also speaking as Republicans being something other than right.
- 17:44SPEAKER_06: But let's continue with BJ's uh comments.
- 17:46SPEAKER_06: As more of your thoughts roll in, text your voice message to the blaster line at 651-964-0294.
- 17:54SPEAKER_26: That's COVID.
- 17:57SPEAKER_26: Money getting dished out of times and that was bad.
- 18:04SPEAKER_26: Also kind of bummed that Trump didn't talk about Minnesota.
- 18:18SPEAKER_26: But I like the fact that I'm gonna vote for her you know, because she likes killing babies, but maybe Trump coming here will help.
- 18:30SPEAKER_26: Yeah, 5,000 per adult.
- 18:33SPEAKER_06: God, that's bad.
- 18:34SPEAKER_06: But you don't know the details yet.
- 18:38SPEAKER_06: George Lucas was famous on the set of the Star Wars movies that his only direction to uh his actors was faster.
- 18:46SPEAKER_06: That was great, faster, more intense.
- 18:49SPEAKER_06: BJ.
- 18:50SPEAKER_06: Faster, more intense, dude.
- 18:51SPEAKER_06: Just saying.
- 18:53SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much for the uh for the comment, though.
- 18:55SPEAKER_06: And we're gonna get into this further and I'll share with you Trump's thoughts here in uh just a moment on the John Justice show.
- 19:00SPEAKER_06: Again, 651-964-0294.
- 19:04SPEAKER_06: And let's um let's go ahead and pose an overarching question uh because it seems like this is what everybody else has been focused on.
- 19:10SPEAKER_06: Uh the left, because because for the left, everything that Trump does is bad, this event is bad, right?
- 19:17SPEAKER_06: Um, I was uh watching a replay, listening to a replay of a gut feld from last night when I was prepping for the show this morning, and Jessica Tarlov was asked about this um, you know, about what was going on uh with this event, and she said, Well, I talked to a guy on the ground who said that it was very dire.
- 19:35SPEAKER_06: It was very sad.
- 19:36SPEAKER_06: It was very sad the way that you know that people were reacting.
- 19:40SPEAKER_06: There wasn't a lot of energy, there wasn't a lot of enthusiasm.
- 19:42SPEAKER_06: And of course, you know, Greg Gutfeld, you know, asked the relevant, the relevant question of, well, okay, you know, who who did you speak to?
- 19:50SPEAKER_06: And of course, she didn't say, because all of the commentary from the individuals on the ground and everything that I saw was the complete opposite.
- 19:57SPEAKER_06: And it was there was a lot of enthusiasm uh taking place last night during the uh during the event.
- 20:03SPEAKER_06: And certainly from what I saw when I woke up this morning and watched a big chunk of it also while I was prepping.
- 20:08SPEAKER_06: I got up really early uh this morning uh to make sure that I could grab all the audio and to also catch up on what I missed from uh from last night.
- 20:15SPEAKER_06: So far, it seems like with opening night that it was a a pretty, you know, a pretty big success for an event that's never been done before as Trump, again, tries to defy the odds relating to how the party in power typically fares in a midterm, uh, in a midterm election.
- 20:33SPEAKER_06: So the larger question that I want to ask this morning, in between all of your other comments, is you know, do you think that do you think that this will have an impact on the midterms?
- 20:44SPEAKER_06: Do you think that this has the possibility of encouraging individuals to get out and vote in the midterms that may not get out and vote?
- 20:55SPEAKER_06: I'm just curious if you think that this was a good effort uh today and tomorrow, this RNC taking place in uh in Dallas.
- 21:03SPEAKER_06: Um somebody had texted him.
- 21:04SPEAKER_06: President Donald Trump says he will give away$5,000 each if we vote Republican.
- 21:08SPEAKER_06: I plan to, anyways, but isn't that potentially vote buying?
- 21:11SPEAKER_06: No, what he's saying is, and I understand why you why you're saying that, what he's saying is there's no time to go and have this passed via Congress, these dividend checks.
- 21:21SPEAKER_06: So in order for them to be passed, the Republicans have to hold power after the midterms in order to move forward on these dividend checks.
- 21:28SPEAKER_06: So that's the I understand the wording and why you would get that impression based off of Trump's wording, but that's the reason why he's saying, you know, you have to vote Republicans in, and this is what we're looking at.
- 21:38SPEAKER_06: If you vote Democrats in, then you're obviously not going to be able to get this passed.
- 21:44SPEAKER_06: And I and again, I have I have questions.
- 21:46SPEAKER_06: I have questions regarding this.
- 21:48SPEAKER_06: I'm not accepting this at face value.
- 21:51SPEAKER_06: The Republican midterm convention taking place, just working through the article here as your uh comments uh roll in.
- 21:57SPEAKER_06: The Republican midterm convention taking place is a G.
- 22:00SPEAKER_06: OP looks to defend their razor-thin majority in the House maintained control of the Senate, which is how and why he'll end up getting those passed if they maintain control.
- 22:09SPEAKER_06: The president said Republicans are presenting common sense policies in contrast to the Democrats embracing socialism, as he vowed to hold large-scale rallies for Republicans in tough races, while talking up Ken Paxton, the Republican nominee for Senate.
- 22:22SPEAKER_06: We'll get into that uh as well.
- 22:24SPEAKER_06: Uh it's not about the stupid policies that led us down the drain, Trump said.
- 22:29SPEAKER_06: If we hadn't won the last election, I'm not sure that our country right now would even exist.
- 22:34SPEAKER_06: It was going so bad.
- 22:36SPEAKER_06: I think that the RNC is going to have an impact.
- 22:39SPEAKER_06: I don't know how big of an impact.
- 22:41SPEAKER_06: I think the bigger impact is going to be Trump and the word that he is going to be holding these rallies across the country that we have been hearing about.
- 22:51SPEAKER_06: The possibility that Trump will be traveling the country and won't be at the White House very much over the course of the next uh weeks.
- 22:59SPEAKER_06: Heading into the midterms.
- 23:01SPEAKER_06: I think that has a better opportunity to bring about uh a level of uh enthusiasm.
- 23:07SPEAKER_06: But I was impressed with what I saw from the opening night of the RNC in Dallas.
- 23:12SPEAKER_06: Let's get back to some of your thoughts.
- 23:14SPEAKER_06: 651-964-0294.
- 23:17SPEAKER_27: Hey, good morning, John.
- 23:18SPEAKER_27: $5,000 dividends.
- 23:21SPEAKER_27: He's just playing the uh Democrat socialist game of giving away stuff for free.
- 23:25SPEAKER_27: It's fine.
- 23:29SPEAKER_27: He's just trying to get people's attention.
- 23:33SPEAKER_27: Just like Democrats, and they say, hey, we're gonna give you medical care for free.
- 23:38SPEAKER_27: Which we don't.
- 23:39SPEAKER_27: It's not free.
- 23:41SPEAKER_27: So you know what, guys?
- 23:44SPEAKER_27: Chill out.
- 23:48SPEAKER_06: The uh Enjoy your day.
- 23:51SPEAKER_06: You too.
- 23:52SPEAKER_06: The listeners on to something.
- 23:54SPEAKER_06: I'll explain in just a moment.
- 23:55SPEAKER_06: Let me go ahead and share with you what Trump said last night when he made this announcement.
- 23:58SPEAKER_41: What they're doing is because we've done so well, and because our country is making so much money that only I can make this promise to you.
- 24:09SPEAKER_41: And here is my promise.
- 24:11SPEAKER_41: If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic, tremendous economic success, like in history we've never had anything like what's happening.
- 24:26SPEAKER_41: But because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for$5,000.
- 24:42SPEAKER_41: Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to its shareholders, or like last year when I gave our great members of the military 1,776.
- 24:58SPEAKER_41: Remember.
- 25:11SPEAKER_06: I do think that there is a level of trolling that Trump is doing with this because, and I know that the re I know the reaction that we're going to receive from Republicans, I understand the reaction that we're going to hear from Republicans.
- 25:27SPEAKER_06: I would encourage everybody to just pump the brakes until we see all the details laid out of what Trump is proposing.
- 25:34SPEAKER_06: But it does put Democrats in a tough spot to go and criticize him.
- 25:39SPEAKER_06: Now, I know Democrats don't care.
- 25:40SPEAKER_06: They will be hypocritical at every single opportunity, but it does put Democrats in a tough spot to go and challenge Trump on this when this is typically something that they would go and support.
- 25:53SPEAKER_06: All right.
- 25:54SPEAKER_06: Let's go back to the blaster line this morning, and we'll go ahead and hear from a foe of the show.
- 25:58SPEAKER_49: The caller's 100% right.
- 26:00SPEAKER_06: Okay, so I'm going to let Mildred go and make uh their comments here because they actually are listening to what I had to say earlier in terms of their commentary, at least for a little while, but we'll address it.
- 26:11SPEAKER_49: Giving out dividend checks, a bribe for winning an election is communism.
- 26:17SPEAKER_49: It's a handout, and it's not going to happen no matter what the stipulations or details are.
- 26:25SPEAKER_06: So, first off, you don't know if it's not going to happen.
- 26:27SPEAKER_06: That's pure uninformed speculation on your part.
- 26:30SPEAKER_06: How is this communism?
- 26:32SPEAKER_06: Communism, a political and economic ideology that aims to build a classless society with common ownership of property and no means of production.
- 26:42SPEAKER_06: You get into the details of this how how is this communism?
- 26:46SPEAKER_06: If you want to argue socialism and a redistribution of wealth, that's a better argument.
- 26:53SPEAKER_06: It really depends on where this money is coming from.
- 26:58SPEAKER_06: But to go and try to label it as being an ism of some kind without that information, it's uninformed speculation that's not rooted in any sort of reality.
- 27:09SPEAKER_49: We'll don't have the tariff checks.
- 27:12SPEAKER_49: And Trump already promised dividend checks when he took office.
- 27:16SPEAKER_49: We haven't seen either of those.
- 27:18SPEAKER_49: This isn't going to happen.
- 27:20SPEAKER_49: This is a bribe.
- 27:21SPEAKER_49: When you bribe a populist to vote for you to get money, that's communism.
- 27:28SPEAKER_49: There's no spin for this, and I can't believe you would even think that this is possible, MAGA.
- 27:34SPEAKER_49: By the way, what I said about Charlie Kirk, those were all completely sourced and accurate.
- 27:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I'm not playing, I'm not playing anything relating to Mildred's comments about Charlie Kirk.
- 27:44SPEAKER_06: I don't care Mildred's opinion of Charlie Kirk.
- 27:48SPEAKER_06: It's completely irrelevant to me.
- 27:49SPEAKER_06: But thank you for the comments this morning.
- 27:51SPEAKER_06: I completely disagree.
- 27:52SPEAKER_06: If we see the details of this plan, depending on where the money comes from, and that's the biggest question that I have on this.
- 27:59SPEAKER_06: You know, past statements from President Donald Trump, he has said that he might be using tariff revenues, although the money, the amount of money that's been brought in via tariffs, I don't think is enough to cover the dividend checks, but we'll see.
- 28:12SPEAKER_06: He's repeatedly pointed to import taxes as the primary mechanism to fund direct cash distribution to the public.
- 28:18SPEAKER_06: Carrying out the measure would require approval from Congress, which is why he's saying, hey, I want to offer up these dividend checks, but I can't do it if we don't have control of Congress anymore.
- 28:29SPEAKER_06: Senator Bernie Moreno has stated that he intends to draft the necessary legislation to authorize the dividend uh program if Republicans hold the House and Senate.
- 28:37SPEAKER_06: Now, and there could be income restrictions based off the little information of what's been talked about in the past.
- 28:43SPEAKER_06: Trump just proposed this last night, so we don't know the details uh yet.
- 28:47SPEAKER_06: But Vice President J.D.
- 28:48SPEAKER_06: Vance has indicated the program would likely be narrowed so that wealthy Americans would not qualify, which would reduce the overall price tag.
- 28:56SPEAKER_06: Now, to Mildred's point, Trump did suggest this when he launched the tariffs originally.
- 29:06SPEAKER_06: He never said he was going to.
- 29:08SPEAKER_06: He suggested, hey, we could possibly give this money back to the American public based off of what we recoup via the global tariffs that the Trump administration has implemented.
- 29:22SPEAKER_06: I was in support of that then, and I'm in support of it now.
- 29:26SPEAKER_06: This is a different mindset and a different opportunity to give the American public money back that's essentially theirs.
- 29:37SPEAKER_06: It's a much, much different mentality than what happened during COVID when those checks were cut, when the country was in economic turmoil dealing with a pandemic that we'd never in our lifetimes dealt with before.
- 29:52SPEAKER_06: And the mentality that goes along with that, and the fact the Biden administration just kept cutting those checks again and again and again.
- 30:00SPEAKER_06: It's wholly different than what Trump is proposing here, assuming the funding mechanism is coming from a new revenue stream and not existing taxpayer dollars.
- 30:11SPEAKER_06: And that's where this whole thing, again, hinges for me.
- 30:14SPEAKER_06: That's what I'm waiting to see.
- 30:16SPEAKER_06: Before I cast final judgment, I'm giving my opinion based off of an expectation that we simply don't know yet.
- 30:24SPEAKER_06: If this is coming from money that's been generated, say via tariffs, maybe we're not aware.
- 30:29SPEAKER_06: Maybe there has been enough money.
- 30:30SPEAKER_06: Maybe the stipulations and the income restrictions required to get the dividend checks is enough to keep that dollar amount lower than what individuals are doing now with Bacca of the Napkin math in the wake of Trump's announcement last night.
- 30:46SPEAKER_20: Hey, good morning, John.
- 30:47SPEAKER_20: Dennis of Southwest Minnesota.
- 30:49SPEAKER_20: I tell you what, I'm not too worried about the midterms.
- 30:53SPEAKER_20: The speech from Trump last night, and quite frankly, all of them last night was excellent.
- 30:59SPEAKER_20: I've been around politics for a long time, and I tell you what, he is the best president we will ever have.
- 31:05SPEAKER_20: And I'm not worried about the midterms or the 28th election.
- 31:09SPEAKER_20: They're gonna win.
- 31:10SPEAKER_20: Hey, you have a great show.
- 31:12SPEAKER_20: You have a great rest of the show, and have a good day.
- 31:15SPEAKER_06: Thank you, Dennis.
- 31:16SPEAKER_06: See, that's the kind of blast that I like.
- 31:19SPEAKER_06: Nice positive.
- 31:20SPEAKER_06: Even Devin's over here, but Richard Devin's over here going, Yeah, you go, Dennis.
- 31:25SPEAKER_06: A little positivity on a Thursday morning.
- 31:28SPEAKER_06: Why is everybody so glum?
- 31:29SPEAKER_06: Crying out loud.
- 31:30SPEAKER_25: Hey John, good morning.
- 31:32SPEAKER_25: I winced when he mentioned that last night, that 5K dividend check.
- 31:39SPEAKER_25: What's worse?
- 31:40SPEAKER_25: One time 5K or a lifetime of benefits, entitlements, and giveaways.
- 31:48SPEAKER_25: I don't know.
- 31:50SPEAKER_06: It's just a lot of comments rolling in.
- 31:57SPEAKER_06: So I'm gonna work through these and uh address your comments at the blaster line this morning.
- 32:01SPEAKER_06: Obviously, Trump has uh touched uh a uh a nerve.
- 32:06SPEAKER_06: Uh Joe from Blaine, up in my neck of the woods, says, okay, Trump isn't promising$5,000 to vote Republican.
- 32:12SPEAKER_06: He's claiming he might be able to get us$5,000 if he gets Republicans in office.
- 32:17SPEAKER_06: I get it now, the wording was uh off.
- 32:19SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, absolutely.
- 32:21SPEAKER_06: Uh Newsome, another person writes in via the uh blaster line.
- 32:24SPEAKER_06: Newsom promised money to California residents when there was uh a vote to remove him.
- 32:29SPEAKER_06: So there.
- 32:31SPEAKER_06: Another comment that came in.
- 32:33SPEAKER_06: How on earth can Mildred, slash Eric from Brainerd, um, say, how can you look at yourself in the mirror while saying that out loud?
- 32:40SPEAKER_06: It's ridiculous comments, and he has the nerve to make it's unbelievable.
- 32:45SPEAKER_06: Somebody else wrote in, Mildred forgot Walls did uh did this with uh did this before his election with the$2,400 that we were gonna get back via the surplus, and that was only$240.
- 32:59SPEAKER_06: And that went to groups that re-elected him.
- 33:02SPEAKER_06: Where was Mildred's Mildred's blast then?
- 33:06SPEAKER_06: No, that's a really good point.
- 33:07SPEAKER_06: And I guess that's something that I would say keep that in the back of your mind.
- 33:13SPEAKER_06: Look, I had I let me don't misunderstand.
- 33:16SPEAKER_06: I had a similar reaction when I got up this morning and I saw that Trump was proposing five thousand dollar dividend checks.
- 33:22SPEAKER_06: I was like, whoa.
- 33:24SPEAKER_06: I I was not did not have that on my bingo card for the opening of the of the RNC.
- 33:32SPEAKER_06: And then I stopped and I paused and I went, okay, tell me where the funding mechanism is coming from.
- 33:36SPEAKER_06: And two, the friend of the show's uh blast via text, you make a great point.
- 33:43SPEAKER_06: We were wanting the surplus money back and we were promised it, but I didn't hear Republicans complaining back then that that was communism because the idea was this was surplus money.
- 33:56SPEAKER_06: It was our money.
- 33:58SPEAKER_06: If this money is being pulled from revenue that specifically the Trump administration has been able to generate to give it back to us, like through the tariffs, to me, that's a parallel track to what we were looking at here in Minnesota a few years ago when we had a$12 billion stimulus.
- 34:16SPEAKER_06: We were promised to get thousands back from it.
- 34:18SPEAKER_06: All of it should have come back to us.
- 34:20SPEAKER_06: And then Governor Dim Walls, you know, just kind of gave the gave the peasants just enough$240 to go and appease everybody while they went and just blew the rest of it, and now we're facing an economic deficit for years to come here in Minnesota.
- 34:36SPEAKER_28: Good morning.
- 34:37SPEAKER_28: I uh I'm a little nervous about this$5,000 thing.
- 34:40SPEAKER_28: Uh I think a lot of us are concerned about the national debt.
- 34:44SPEAKER_28: You do the math.
- 34:45SPEAKER_28: 270 million adults in the state or in the country at$5,000 apiece.
- 34:51SPEAKER_28: That's$1.35 trillion.
- 34:58SPEAKER_28: Trump talks about it being a dividend from a you know, a company giving a dividend.
- 35:03SPEAKER_28: This country isn't making a profit right now.
- 35:07SPEAKER_28: We shouldn't be paying a dividend.
- 35:11SPEAKER_26: Full friends and folds of the four are wrong.
- 35:13SPEAKER_26: It's not communism to give up the dividends, right?
- 35:16SPEAKER_26: He's just giving out information to vote.
- 35:20SPEAKER_26: What is, for sure, is if Democrat socialists communist get in.
- 35:25SPEAKER_26: You will own nothing.
- 35:26SPEAKER_26: You will not get a paycheck.
- 35:28SPEAKER_26: Right.
- 35:28SPEAKER_26: But you will get five thousand dollars.
- 35:30SPEAKER_26: But you'll own nothing else.
- 35:32SPEAKER_26: That's your communism.
- 35:35SPEAKER_06: Listen, a great comment.
- 35:36SPEAKER_06: And just as I and I'm gonna have to keep repeating this throughout the show this morning, let's wait until we see the details.
- 35:42SPEAKER_06: That's what I want to see.
- 35:44SPEAKER_06: Okay if this is coming from new money generated and not adding to the taxpayer burden, I understand the arguments that people are making and the concerns, but we need to see the details before we can really fully reach a uh conclusion.
- 36:03SPEAKER_06: For example, let me go ahead and play uh play this comment.
- 36:07SPEAKER_27: Instead of a$5,000 check, could we just reduce federal spending by$5,000 per person per year and get a free market check in most of the sectors of our economy?
- 36:24SPEAKER_06: Uh so instead of the$5,000 check, I know it's a little hard to hear.
- 36:27SPEAKER_06: Could we just reduce federal spending by$5,000 per year and uh get the free market back in most of the sectors?
- 36:34SPEAKER_06: Um that would be great, but it's not happening.
- 36:37SPEAKER_06: Hate to be the bearer of bad news.
- 36:39SPEAKER_06: I don't want to see more money added to the debt.
- 36:42SPEAKER_06: But at the moment, we've just been, you know, even Republicans have just been tinkering around the edges and not doing anything about it.
- 36:50SPEAKER_06: If you missed the conversation that we had about a week or so ago with John Phelan talking about his biggest concerns, the policy fellow here at American uh Experiment, I definitely uh I would encourage you to go and listen to that interview because it was a fantastic one with his concerns over the debt.
- 37:04SPEAKER_06: My con my concerns on this dividend check is again, where is the funding coming from?
- 37:08SPEAKER_06: If it's coming from new revenue, I understand the desire to lower the debt.
- 37:12SPEAKER_06: What was suggested there by the friend of the show just isn't going to happen.
- 37:18SPEAKER_06: In a perfect world, it would, but it's just not.
- 37:20SPEAKER_06: Not with this current makeup of Congress, not with the way that politics currently are.
- 37:24SPEAKER_06: If President Donald Trump sees that we brought in more revenue and wants to provide relief to the American public, you know, this might be a way to do it, depending on where the funding mechanism is coming from.
- 37:34SPEAKER_22: Hey, John, Bruce and Shockby.
- 37:36SPEAKER_22: Good morning.
- 37:37SPEAKER_22: You know, it's really funny, Mr.
- 37:39SPEAKER_22: Mildred.
- 37:40SPEAKER_22: You know, all these Democrats that are complaining about this or calling it communism or whatever they want.
- 37:47SPEAKER_06: Let me stop here really quick.
- 37:48SPEAKER_06: Bruce, so far, I haven't heard any Democrats apart from Mildred uh making comments about this.
- 37:54SPEAKER_06: The concern of it being communistic or communism is coming from Republicans.
- 38:00SPEAKER_06: I just I just want to make that make that clear.
- 38:03SPEAKER_22: Are they gonna give the money back if they actually get the check?
- 38:07SPEAKER_22: That would be interesting to see if they would.
- 38:09SPEAKER_22: I guarantee you they won't.
- 38:10SPEAKER_22: If they get free money, they don't care who it's from.
- 38:13SPEAKER_22: They'll take it from Trump, they'll take it from anybody.
- 38:16SPEAKER_22: They're all a bunch of lying hypocrites.
- 38:18SPEAKER_22: Have a good day.
- 38:20SPEAKER_06: Uh thank you so much, Bruce.
- 38:21SPEAKER_06: Always great to hear from you.
- 38:22SPEAKER_18: Or John Alex, Jules River.
- 38:24SPEAKER_18: You know, I I think this is a prime example of what we're hearing from from everybody from the show of left versus right.
- 38:32SPEAKER_18: Left would fall in, you know, lockstep 100% support everything that their president would have said.
- 38:42SPEAKER_18: And it's nice to hear that the right doesn't always agree with everything and follow lockstep like the left would.
- 38:52SPEAKER_18: You know, I uh you understand what I'm saying?
- 38:54SPEAKER_18: Absolutely.
- 38:56SPEAKER_06: No, I do, I no, I do.
- 38:58SPEAKER_06: It's one of the biggest reasons.
- 39:00SPEAKER_06: Uh it's one of the reasons why I call myself a conservative.
- 39:05SPEAKER_06: Yes, it trips conservatives up.
- 39:07SPEAKER_06: Yes, it costs conservatives elections on occasion, more often than we would like.
- 39:12SPEAKER_06: The fact that we disagree on these on these issues.
- 39:16SPEAKER_06: But it's also what makes conservatism great for those who call themselves conservatives or Republicans, is that we don't agree on everything.
- 39:27SPEAKER_06: We want to make sure we do uh the the right thing.
- 39:30SPEAKER_06: We want to make sure the policies are are sound and in the best interest of everybody.
- 39:35SPEAKER_06: You're absolutely uh correct.
- 39:37SPEAKER_06: You know, Trump could have floated this last night as a trial balloon to simply see what their response would be.
- 39:43SPEAKER_06: You know, Trump doesn't for as much as those suffering from uh Trump derangement uh syndrome want to go and have it all different ways with Trump.
- 39:54SPEAKER_06: He's a moron, he's an idiot, he's a dictator, he's an authoritarian, he's calculated.
- 40:00SPEAKER_06: Like they want it, they want all the different versions of Trump that they can have to criticize him.
- 40:06SPEAKER_06: You know, but often they talk about how he's just reckless, he's just a reckless president.
- 40:12SPEAKER_06: There was a piece I saw on the Star Tribune that was leaning.
- 40:15SPEAKER_06: Oh, it was talking about, oh, that's what it was.
- 40:17SPEAKER_06: It wasn't Trump, it was Pete Heggseth, but you can go ahead and interchange them.
- 40:20SPEAKER_06: The Trump derangement syndrome goes over to those who want to criticize Pete Heggseth.
- 40:25SPEAKER_06: But uh Rochelle Rochelle, Rochelle Olson in the Star Tribune was talking about the the rudderless the rudderless leadership of Pete Heggseth and how we need to switch it out and change.
- 40:36SPEAKER_06: First off, okay, I'm not shocked at all that anybody at the Star Tribune is not a fan of Pete Heggseth.
- 40:41SPEAKER_06: And how anybody can rationally say that under Pete Heggseth's leadership in the Department of War, that it's been rudderless, it's is either not paying close enough attention, straight up lying, or is just incredibly what's called a Trump derangement problem.
- 41:04SPEAKER_41: Have you heard about that problem?
- 41:07SPEAKER_06: But the point I wanted to make before I get back to more of your thoughts and audio from the RNC is that Trump doesn't just willy-nilly do this stuff.
- 41:16SPEAKER_06: He is very calculated.
- 41:18SPEAKER_06: Anybody that's been around him, the people that we've interviewed that have spent time with him, they all say the same thing.
- 41:24SPEAKER_06: He doesn't just he when he says things, it sounds like he's just saying, like he just pulled it out of his rear end, but he doesn't do that.
- 41:30SPEAKER_06: There's a calculated move as to why Trump proposed this uh last night.
- 41:34SPEAKER_10: Good morning, John Mitch here.
- 41:36SPEAKER_10: So I know mildew from Brainerd is all upset right now, but you know, this is tariff money coming in, and thank you, Canada, you know, because you had a 300% tariff on our dairy.
- 41:49SPEAKER_10: You wonder why there's no dairy farms in the Midwest no more, multiple states.
- 41:53SPEAKER_10: That's a problem.
- 41:55SPEAKER_10: But then you look at the fact that uh the Democrat Party, they're broke.
- 42:02SPEAKER_10: It's all this USA aid money that the Democrats used to f fraudulently funnel back to their party.
- 42:10SPEAKER_10: Well, they're broke, and Trump has fond of extra tax dollars for revenue back.
- 42:15SPEAKER_10: It's all good.
- 42:16SPEAKER_06: Thank you, Rich.
- 42:17SPEAKER_06: Always great to uh hear from you this morning.
- 42:19SPEAKER_08: Regarding Mildred's rant this morning, how is uh Trump offering a$5,000 dividend check any more of a bribe than the Democrats offering free Medicare for all?
- 42:29SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's a really good point.
- 42:31SPEAKER_06: That's where the uh hypocrisy comes into place.
- 42:35SPEAKER_06: Uh let's see.
- 42:37SPEAKER_06: All right, let's go here.
- 42:38SPEAKER_06: I got more comments that are rolling in.
- 42:40SPEAKER_06: I want a chance to preview some of these.
- 42:41SPEAKER_06: A lot of blasts that are uh rolling into the blaster line at 651-964-0294.
- 42:48SPEAKER_06: Before we get to more of those, I want to keep moving through the events of the RNC last night.
- 42:53SPEAKER_06: I have a lot of local stories that we can actually tie into commentary that took place in the opening night of the uh of the RNC.
- 43:01SPEAKER_06: Before we do that, though, I just want to remind you that if you are not getting a good night's sleep, try the night gummies from Mini Leaf.
- 43:09SPEAKER_06: I'm really interested to find out how my father fares on the night gummies.
- 43:13SPEAKER_06: He's been uh dealing with uh issues regarding his sleep, has been having more difficulty sleeping.
- 43:17SPEAKER_06: He's tried everything.
- 43:18SPEAKER_06: And I know hearing from other friends of the show, Melissa and her husband, I'm talking to you guys.
- 43:24SPEAKER_06: I know that a friend of the show, uh Melissa, her husband went and uh tried out the mini leaf uh night gummies and they solved his problem.
- 43:32SPEAKER_06: They've been having issues.
- 43:34SPEAKER_06: He'd been having issues, getting a good night's sleep.
- 43:36SPEAKER_06: Same thing with me, as I've mentioned, especially when you get up multiple times in the evening to use the restroom, for example, right?
- 43:43SPEAKER_06: Get a glass of water.
- 43:44SPEAKER_06: Uh, and you had difficulty falling asleep with the night gummies, you're right back out like a light, and you wake up feeling refreshed.
- 43:50SPEAKER_06: Also, with the website, you'll see the an incredibly effective triple diamond uh pain cream.
- 43:55SPEAKER_06: My wife swears by that, the dark chocolates, the spooky mini leaf tonics are spooky because there's no Booze.
- 44:00SPEAKER_06: Halloween's just around the corner.
- 44:02SPEAKER_06: I'm already getting into the Halloween spirit.
- 44:04SPEAKER_06: The fun gummies as well, the night gummies, and their different formulas.
- 44:08SPEAKER_06: There's a couple of different types that you can get at M-I-N-N-E-L-E-A-F.com.
- 44:13SPEAKER_06: I have tried all of them.
- 44:14SPEAKER_06: They're all effective, but they do offer different sleep solutions.
- 44:19SPEAKER_06: So be sure you check out the labels.
- 44:20SPEAKER_06: And the five-star reviews are rolling in.
- 44:23SPEAKER_06: Um Rishe wrote in, left a five-star review saying, sleeping great.
- 44:27SPEAKER_06: This was for the night C B N C B D sleep gummies.
- 44:31SPEAKER_06: Randall left a five-star review for the same sleep gummies.
- 44:34SPEAKER_06: Excellent service.
- 44:35SPEAKER_06: I ordered one day and it was delivered the following day.
- 44:38SPEAKER_06: All the packaging for Mini Leaf is done locally, right in Brooklyn Park, and the uh mini leaf tonics are brewed in Eden Prairie.
- 44:47SPEAKER_06: So taste happy and head on over to M-I-N-N-E-L-E-A-F.com.
- 44:52SPEAKER_06: Again, that's minileaf.com.
- 44:54SPEAKER_17: Good morning, John.
- 44:55SPEAKER_17: I support conservative issues, and I want nothing better for our country than to have a future for our children that has a debt that is not$40 trillion, and we have people that actually care about not giving things away anymore.
- 45:13SPEAKER_17: But that's my problem where I am right now is that these politicians don't want to show the courage to stop these giveaway programs.
- 45:21SPEAKER_17: And when does Donnie come up?
- 45:23SPEAKER_17: He says, let's have some dividend checks.
- 45:25SPEAKER_17: We have a$40 trillion debt.
- 45:27SPEAKER_17: It keeps me awake at night.
- 45:29SPEAKER_17: And this is the thing that bothers me about these people that we support for political office and their unwillingness to show the courage needed to start tightening our belt and stop giving away other people's money.
- 45:44SPEAKER_06: So again, we need to know what the funding mechanism is for these$5,000 dividend checks.
- 45:52SPEAKER_06: So it's kind of tough to have a conversation, at least in my opinion.
- 45:54SPEAKER_06: It's kind of tough to have a conversation without, you know, doing speculation about where this money could potentially come from.
- 46:00SPEAKER_06: And I imagine by the end of the day, based on the fact that this has only been out there for a few hours from uh Trump's comments last night, that we will probably get an answer to these questions later on today as uh the you know mainstream media begins interviewing everybody, waking up, and the politicians that were at the RNC ahead of today's of today's speeches.
- 46:20SPEAKER_06: But to what Scott was saying, uh I completely understand your frustration and I agree with you.
- 46:30SPEAKER_06: And it's something that I struggle with and have as a talk show host when we talk about these issues.
- 46:40SPEAKER_06: Because I also believe that we should tackle the debt.
- 46:43SPEAKER_06: Government's too big, it's taking too much money.
- 46:46SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 46:46SPEAKER_06: There's too many of these programs that are unnecessary.
- 46:48SPEAKER_06: You look at what's happening here in Minnesota, and it's a microcosm of what's happening on the national level.
- 46:53SPEAKER_06: Thankfully, we do have some, you know, we have Republicans in charge, and they should be doing a better job than Democrats uh, you know, would.
- 47:00SPEAKER_06: Uh it's unfortunate borderline tragic when we can't get things that the majority of the country wants, like the Save America Act passed.
- 47:09SPEAKER_06: The issue though is that that's not the world that we live in.
- 47:15SPEAKER_06: I wish that it was.
- 47:16SPEAKER_06: I wish that it I wish that it would be we could elect a group of individuals who would go and really adhere to sound fiscal policy and bringing down the debt.
- 47:34SPEAKER_06: But that's not the case.
- 47:37SPEAKER_06: It's not gonna change with this midterm election, even if Republicans go and maintain control, and it's not gonna change in the 2028 election.
- 47:47SPEAKER_06: So what I struggle with when we talk about these issues on the show is okay, do we get frustrated over the fact that we're not running things the way that Scott mentioned, or do we say, I wish things would be this way, but they're not.
- 48:06SPEAKER_06: Let's deal with the hand that we are dealt.
- 48:10SPEAKER_06: And that's how I approach the show.
- 48:12SPEAKER_06: I'm dealing and I'm discussing and I'm sharing with you my opinions based off of the hands that we are dealt.
- 48:20SPEAKER_06: What Scott's referring to and electing individuals, it has to happen at the state and local level.
- 48:25SPEAKER_06: And that has to happen across the country where everybody kind of agrees that we're going to elect individuals that are going to adhere to fiscal responsibility for the country.
- 48:37SPEAKER_06: And it's you tell me the last time that happened.
- 48:40SPEAKER_06: So I get your frustration, Scott.
- 48:42SPEAKER_06: What we're talking about on the show is again dealing with the hands that we are dealt.
- 48:48SPEAKER_06: So in this case, Trump offers up$5,000 dividend checks, scant on the details.
- 48:55SPEAKER_06: All we can draw from are previous statements from both Trump and JD Vance ahead of when we find out where this actual money is coming from.
- 49:05SPEAKER_06: And that's what we're doing here this morning on the John Justice show.
- 49:08SPEAKER_06: If you want to comment, and many of you do, 651-964-0294.
- 49:14SPEAKER_25: Hey, John.
- 49:16SPEAKER_25: Nobody has to take them checks.
- 49:18SPEAKER_25: They can sit on their moral molehill if they ever show up.
- 49:23SPEAKER_25: I guarantee you the grifting Democrats in the entitlement crowd will grab them and run to Cancun or buy their pot.
- 49:32SPEAKER_25: Oh well.
- 49:34SPEAKER_06: Look, you are um you're correct, but at the same time, I don't I'm not going to dismiss um individuals' concerns.
- 49:44SPEAKER_06: And I'm not saying that Lou was, I believe that was Lou.
- 49:48SPEAKER_06: Um I'm not saying that that he was.
- 49:51SPEAKER_06: You're right.
- 49:51SPEAKER_06: You don't have to take the checks if you don't like it.
- 49:53SPEAKER_06: But there is, and there are legitimate arguments if the funding mechanism for the dividend checks is only adding to the debt and the frustration that people would have over what it's doing to the bigger picture of the economy and the and the country.
- 50:06SPEAKER_06: So, you know, I'm not dis I'm not personally dismissing anybody's criticism over it.
- 50:10SPEAKER_06: And I certainly I wouldn't take the stance of, well, you don't have to take the checks if you don't want to.
- 50:14SPEAKER_06: No, I get it.
- 50:15SPEAKER_06: And you don't want to see trillions added to our debt.
- 50:19SPEAKER_06: I don't either.
- 50:20SPEAKER_06: All right, before we get to more of your comments, last night Democrat Senator John Fetterman delivered a surprise video message at the RNC.
- 50:28SPEAKER_06: He ended up praising uh Republican Senator Dave McCormick and Trump while rejecting the Democrat Party's extremes and uh socialism.
- 50:37SPEAKER_42: Hey, room of Republicans in Dallas.
- 50:40SPEAKER_42: Yes, I'm Senator John Fetterman, Pennsylvania.
- 50:43SPEAKER_42: Yes, I'm a Democrat.
- 50:45SPEAKER_42: Why am I here talking to you today?
- 50:48SPEAKER_42: Because I'm a common sense Democrat.
- 50:51SPEAKER_42: I'm always gonna stay with America.
- 50:53SPEAKER_42: I'm always gonna be able to do it.
- 51:36SPEAKER_42: So for everybody in palace, I'm here to introduce everyone.
- 51:42SPEAKER_19: Hey John, good morning, good show so far.
- 51:45SPEAKER_19: Yeah, the$5,000 is gonna I'm gonna need that just to pay my uh property tax increases if my city is looking to throw at us another double digit.
- 51:57SPEAKER_19: It's crazy.
- 51:58SPEAKER_19: We're gonna need it just to pay our property taxes.
- 52:02SPEAKER_06: The property tax issue uh is really starting to uh explode.
- 52:09SPEAKER_06: It's pretty, it's pretty wild.
- 52:11SPEAKER_06: There was a story this morning, I believe it was in the Star Tribune, of essentially a revolt taking place in Minneapolis of property owners just going, This is unsustainable.
- 52:21SPEAKER_06: We we we can't do this.
- 52:23SPEAKER_06: And I completely understand.
- 52:26SPEAKER_06: And it kind of goes even beyond the Minneapolis City Council leadership.
- 52:30SPEAKER_06: There are much bigger issues, and a lot of it could be taken care of via what Trump is trying to do when it comes to immigration, something that we'll talk about a little bit uh later on uh in the uh uh in the show.
- 52:43SPEAKER_06: But yeah, no, the issue of uh property taxes is is one that's weighing heavily on a lot of people for uh very, very legitimate reasons.
- 53:03SPEAKER_21: Or maybe five thousand and one dollars.
- 53:05SPEAKER_21: Just like Camp Kamala ripped off the no-tax on everything and after like it was really any advantage to Trump has from taking away democratic votes.
- 53:24SPEAKER_29: Um there's a few things on the five thousand dollars.
- 53:29SPEAKER_29: Hey, he did say I am promising five thousand dollars to every adult.
- 53:35SPEAKER_29: He didn't say if Congress can sign it into law, if they can you know he said I'm promising this to everyone.
- 53:44SPEAKER_29: That's a problem.
- 53:46SPEAKER_29: Part number two, you've got a bunch of people making leaving comments saying, How is it any different than the left doing this?
- 53:53SPEAKER_29: It's not.
- 53:55SPEAKER_29: And that's the problem.
- 53:57SPEAKER_29: Because this is an argument from the left.
- 53:59SPEAKER_29: When you start playing the I'm gonna give you free stuff game, the left is gonna win every single time because you'll say five thousand dollars, they'll say ten.
- 54:09SPEAKER_29: You want to double down?
- 54:11SPEAKER_29: We'll go fifteen, sure.
- 54:13SPEAKER_29: That's the problem.
- 54:15SPEAKER_06: But they okay.
- 54:20SPEAKER_06: Trying to understand your point here, Victor.
- 54:23SPEAKER_06: It's been happening a lot with Victor this week.
- 54:25SPEAKER_06: Let me play Trump's comments here.
- 54:26SPEAKER_41: What you're doing is because we've done so well, and because our country is making so much money that only I can make this promise to you.
- 54:37SPEAKER_41: And here is my promise.
- 54:39SPEAKER_41: If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic tremendous economic success, like uh in in history, we've never had anything like what's the question.
- 54:53SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 54:54SPEAKER_06: So again, I just I we're like extrapolating and breaking down what Trump said.
- 54:58SPEAKER_06: But with what Victor said, no, he he did say in so many words, if Republicans uh get elected, he promises you, which would mean, because everybody knows that he can't unilaterally just cut checks to everybody, this is something that has to be passed through Congress.
- 55:14SPEAKER_06: That's a given based off of Trump's statement.
- 55:29SPEAKER_41: If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic tremendous economic success, like in history we've never had anything like what's happening.
- 55:44SPEAKER_41: But because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for$5,000.
- 56:00SPEAKER_41: Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to its shareholders, or like last year when I gave our great members of the military$1,776.
- 56:16SPEAKER_26: Remember, good morning, everybody.
- 56:19SPEAKER_26: For the fools of the show, I really don't care what you think.
- 56:22SPEAKER_26: You're just ridiculous.
- 56:23SPEAKER_26: For the friends of the show, do not fall into this number game.
- 56:28SPEAKER_26: We can make all we want of$5,000 times two of whatever hundred million people.
- 56:34SPEAKER_26: Not everybody's gonna qualify a very small percentage fraction are gonna qualify for this check.
- 56:43SPEAKER_26: Look at King Walls and his rebate check during COVID.
- 56:48SPEAKER_26: Or because of the surplus.
- 56:51SPEAKER_26: After pain taxes for 45 years, I have not received a dime of any little checks.
- 56:59SPEAKER_26: Being a solid middle class person.
- 57:01SPEAKER_26: I don't expect to get a check from Trump.
- 57:04SPEAKER_26: So don't fall into the mind game.
- 57:06SPEAKER_26: Just chill up, relax, and see what happens.
- 57:11SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, I appreciate the comments, and I agree with a lot of what you're saying.
- 57:15SPEAKER_06: I think it is fantastic that we are having this conversation.
- 57:19SPEAKER_06: I think it is fantastic that we all have varying views.
- 57:24SPEAKER_06: This is how people should go and look at the politics and the parties that they follow.
- 57:31SPEAKER_06: You should be critical.
- 57:33SPEAKER_06: You should be open-minded, but you should have questions.
- 57:37SPEAKER_06: I listen, I have questions.
- 57:39SPEAKER_06: Where is the funding coming from?
- 57:42SPEAKER_06: Now, generally speaking, I trust this administration.
- 57:45SPEAKER_06: And when they come up with ideas, even at times when I stop and I go, uh, I don't I'm not sure.
- 57:53SPEAKER_06: Usually we end up coming out on the backside and I go, okay, that makes a lot more sense.
- 58:00SPEAKER_06: That's what I'm waiting for when it comes to these potential dividend checks that Trump suggested last night during the RNC.
- 58:10SPEAKER_06: We're gonna talk a little bit uh elections as well.
- 58:13SPEAKER_06: Trump made this comment uh last night, speaking of our elections.
- 58:17SPEAKER_41: So I'm asking you to pretend that I'm on the ballot.
- 58:21SPEAKER_41: I'm on the ballot.
- 58:22SPEAKER_41: I'm on the ballot.
- 58:24SPEAKER_41: Just one more time.
- 58:26SPEAKER_41: Because if we lose, you're going to lose your voter, you're going to lose your tax cuts, you're going to lose your safety and security.
- 58:35SPEAKER_41: You're going to lose your wealth.
- 58:37SPEAKER_41: A country is going through hell.
- 58:39SPEAKER_41: You will be going through hell just like you did just two years ago.
- 58:43SPEAKER_41: We went through hell.
- 58:44SPEAKER_41: We were a laughing stock all over the world.
- 58:47SPEAKER_41: We were laughing.
- 58:48SPEAKER_41: They don't laugh at us anymore, do they?
- 58:50SPEAKER_41: They don't laugh at us.
- 58:53SPEAKER_41: But that's what would happen.
- 58:54SPEAKER_41: The pundits, the fake news, media, and the radical left communists will say anything they can to try and stop us.
- 59:02SPEAKER_41: But in this election, all that matters is that we are united, we are together, and what we say counts.
- 59:12SPEAKER_41: That's all that matters.
- 59:15SPEAKER_06: I like the care the guy right there at the end.
- 59:18SPEAKER_06: You could hear he's like, yeah.
- 59:21SPEAKER_06: I think it sounded a little bit like AK.
- 59:25SPEAKER_43: Um, I think what some of these people are referring to as a funding mechanism is that they don't care what the funding mechanism is.
- 59:34SPEAKER_43: If we have money to give, spend it on the debt, don't give it back to me.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_06: I am so glad that you have chosen to join us once again this morning, and I hope you will continue to do so every Monday through Friday, 6 until 9 a.m.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_06: I have uh, I'm working out of the uh the logistics of it, but I have some ideas for the Mix LR stream that might uh be beneficial for those that listen to the stream, meaning more content or repeat content throughout the day on the MixLR stream when we're not when we're not live as I look over at producer Devin because he would have to go and help me facilitate this, but we can talk about it.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_06: We can talk about it later.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_06: But thank you so much for joining the show uh live here from American Experiments.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_06: Again, you can listen live on the Mix LR app.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_06: The podcasts are loaded right there on the app.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_06: It's the way that if you just want to listen to the audio version uh of the show, we encourage you to do so uh on the app.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_06: If you want to watch the show live, you can on my ex feed, also at Center of the American Experiments YouTube and Facebook feeds, and uh my personal YouTube and Facebook uh feeds as well for those that want to watch it.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_06: On top of that, uh the replays of the show are all posted uh after uh after every single uh show.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_06: And the views are growing across the board.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_06: Uh just mention it at the top of the show.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_06: Uh could not be more thrilled uh with uh individuals who continue to find the new show here at American Experiment, but also just watching the video feed grow along with the audio feed.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_06: And it's all thanks to uh to you uh joining us every single morning.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_06: So I just greatly, greatly appreciate that.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_06: Uh I want to mention something that you may not be aware of before we get back to the RNC.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_06: More audio of President Donald Trump and the controversy that has erupted.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_06: It is controversy.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_06: Ah, you know, maybe erupt is not the right word.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_06: Uh controversy in and questions regarding Trump making his announcement last night that he wants to give out, promising to give out$5,000 dividend checks, assuming Republicans end up maintaining control in Congress because it would need to pass through Congress.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_06: So we'll get to some more of your thoughts on that.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_06: I'll replay that audio from Trump.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_06: And I have a lot more audio from uh last night's uh opening of the RNC.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_06: Uh Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany will be joining me this morning, hopefully right around 7.30.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_06: Uh he'll be on with us.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_06: And then in studio, uh Scott Jensen, a Minnesota State Auditor uh candidate for the Republican Party, will be sitting on the comfy sofa here at the Center of the American Experiment Studios.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_06: Head on over to AmericanExperiment.org and check out all the latest uh writings from the amazing policy fellows uh here at American Experiment.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_06: Also, details on the$7,000 scholarship raffle and 7K fun run.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_06: Join American Experiment and Oak for the 7K for uh kids fun run.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_06: It's happening Sunday, October 11th in Plymouth.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_06: Details are available on the website.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_06: It is a family-friendly event promoting the$7,000 ESA proposal to improve Minnesota's education and give parents the power of school choice.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_06: Run a 7K, walk a 5K, or enjoy a zero-mile in the main area with face painting, music, inflatables, and refreshments, plus enter the raffle to win a$7,000 scholarship for K through 12 students in your life attending a private school.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_06: Mark your calendars, spread the word, and register to run.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_06: Head on over to AmericanExperimenta.org for more uh details.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_06: Getting back to last night's uh RNC.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_06: Trump was talking, we played a clip a moment ago about uh him wanting you this election to re-elect.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_41: So I'm asking you to pretend that I'm on the ballot.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_41: I'm on the ballot.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_41: I'm on the ballot.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_41: Just one more time.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_41: Because if we lose, you're going to lose your border, you're going to lose your tax cuts, you're going to lose your safety and security, you're going to lose your wealth.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_41: Our country is going through hell.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_41: You will be going through hell just like you did just two years ago.
- 1:04:10SPEAKER_41: We went through hell.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_06: We were it's really interesting to see these two forces go head to head.
- 1:04:19SPEAKER_06: First off, I think it's a smart move to put Trump on the ballot, meaning, as Trump said, just imagine I'm on the ballot even though he isn't, because that does bring about a level of support and enthusiasm.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_06: I think that if Trump does do what is being rumored, and that is, he goes out for a series of town halls and rallies between now and the midterms, I think it could benefit uh the candidates.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_06: And that's the whole purpose of this Republican national midterm convention, is to bring about that enthusiasm.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_06: Listening to those on the left, everything that Trump does is awful.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_06: And so they're saying that last night was awful.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_06: When the reality is, from everybody that we've heard from on the ground, and I believe that Congressman gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany is there in Dallas when he joins us at the bottom of the hour.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_06: Tom Emmerdemar will be joining us.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_06: He is in Dallas.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_06: We'll play his speech coming up here in a bit on the John Justice show.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_06: And also uh A.K.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_06: Kamara, who I just saw, has reposted uh the uh comment, encouraging him to leave us a blast because he's down there as well.
- 1:05:23SPEAKER_06: Uh but everybody we've heard from on the ground has said it's been nothing but enthusiastic.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_06: But this is running headlong into the Democrats' play this election cycle, and that is to run on Trump.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_06: So if they're gonna run against Trump, and it's kind of all you hear from the from the DFL candidates, Klobichar and Flanagan, it's all Trump, Trump, Trump all the time.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_06: So if that's the case, it's gonna be really interesting to see the two different strategies going head-to-head with one another.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_06: A couple of election-related items before we get back to your comments and uh your thoughts on the dividend checks.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_06: Uh, the Trump administration.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_06: Did petition the Supreme Court to allow mail ballot restrictions after the federal judge blocked them?
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_06: The restrictions were part of the executive order requiring states to provide the voter lists to the United States Postal Service.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_06: And the United States Postal Service had already moved forward and began implementing this plan.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_06: This would prevent mailing ballots to ineligible voters.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_06: The judge's injunction, citing time constraints and potential voter disenfranchement, blocked the mandatory parts of the United States Postal Service rule.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_06: So Trump has appealed to the Supreme Court, and hopefully the Supreme Court is able to expedite quickly a response and a ruling on this particular issue.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_06: Because if they can do it fast enough, then it still has time to go and be implemented ahead of the midterms, even though time is quickly running out.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_06: On top of this, two Democrat lawmakers are urging the Trump administration to release nearly$40 million in election security funding to protect voting infrastructure from cyber attacks and foreign interference ahead of the midterms.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_06: The funding dispute highlights the different priorities in election security, with lawmakers focusing on cybersecurity and the administration emphasizing the mechanics of voting, particularly mail-in ballots.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_06: The administration's uh mail ballot rules are currently facing legal challenges, as I just mentioned, with the Supreme Court involved in the ongoing uh dispute.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_06: So earlier this week, Assistant Attorney General Harme Dillon was talking with Fox News about the specific issue of bringing monitors to go and uh take a look at and keep an eye on our election integrity.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_06: Here's a little bit of what the assistant A.G.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_06: uh.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_06: Dillon had to say.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_34: Hey, send your monitors, um, uh, Mr.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_34: Jeffries.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_34: That's actually the American way.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_34: My my mom was an election monitor in rural North Carolina when I was a kid.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_34: And this is the American way.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_34: The more the merrier.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_34: Bring all the monitors possible.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_34: This is great.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_34: And all this fear-mongering about us interfering with the election, there's zero evidence of that.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_34: We are very proud of what we're doing in the historical tradition of the Department of Justice.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_34: I wish I could say I could deliver 2,000 monitors.
- 1:08:17SPEAKER_34: Right.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_34: So maybe that's a goal for 2028.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_23: Yeah, I think a lot of people watching right now would like to see that.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_23: Um, and it is a crime to knowingly allow non-citizens to vote in federal elections.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_23: Yes or no, you've notified all 50 states of this ahead of the midterms.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_34: I have.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_34: And in some places, like Wisconsin, where they claim that it's a county-level issue, we've notified all the counties too.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_06: Again, Harmeet Dillon uh talking about the possibility of election monitors, this election cycle.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_06: And something that we've gotten into in detail with um A.K.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_06: Kamara, about just how comprehensive the efforts are by the GOP on the ground in states like ours to monitor the election and to make sure that shenanigans, for lack of a better way to describe it, don't take place.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_06: Here's a quick one, and we'll get back to the uh Trump uh dividend checks.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_06: Uh, this comes from uh Fox 9 from earlier this week.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_06: But the White House, right, appealing the Supreme Court to allow the new restrictions on mail-in voting that I mentioned, despite the federal judge blocking the order.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_06: Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon expects the mail-in voting to remain the same.
- 1:09:26SPEAKER_06: He is warning the new rule would require a significant increase in staffing for local election offices.
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_06: Oh, too bad, so sad.
- 1:09:33SPEAKER_06: In Dakota County, residents and church leaders urged commissioners to refuse to comply with the restrictions, expressing concerns about the impact on voting rights.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_06: So on September 1st, there was a packed Dakota County Board of Commissioners meeting drawing in residents and church leaders raising concerns about the elections.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_06: Over and over, community members stepped up to the podium.
- 1:09:55SPEAKER_06: One speaker said, uh, we've seen the proposed restrictions in mail and voting.
- 1:10:02SPEAKER_06: We've seen the federal government obsessed with getting voter rolls.
- 1:10:05SPEAKER_06: I recently became a grandmother, and I cannot think of what might happen to our elections and have my and have to tell my grandchildren that I didn't do everything I could.
- 1:10:17SPEAKER_06: You know what?
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_06: If you're legal and you're eligible to vote, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_06: The group of citizens and church leaders asked the commissioners to sign a pledge refusing to comply with what they call an unlawful executive order or data request that restrict voting.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_06: Counties are in charge of administering the elections.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_06: Uh, this was a um Trump derangement syndrome council meeting.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_06: That's all this was.
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_06: It just made me laugh.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_06: Community leaders urge Dakota County Board to reject federal mail and ballot restrictions.
- 1:10:49SPEAKER_06: Uh yeah, there's truth to that, but but it was a bunch of lefties that were doing it.
- 1:10:56SPEAKER_06: The uh Fox 9 article just didn't go so far as to mention that particular fact.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_06: All right.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_06: Let's go here.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_06: For those that missed it earlier, the big announcement from last night and President Donald Trump saying that he wants to provide$5,000 dividend checks to everybody.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_41: Because we've done so well, and because our country is making so much money that only I can make this promise to you.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_41: And here is my promise.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_41: If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic tremendous economic success, like in history we've never had anything like what's happening.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_41: But because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for$5,000.
- 1:11:55SPEAKER_41: Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to its shareholders, or like last year when I gave our great members of the military 1,76.
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_41: Remember.
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_09: And when I joined the Navy, they promised me I could go anywhere.
- 1:12:26SPEAKER_09: I'm like, all right, cool.
- 1:12:27SPEAKER_09: I want to go on the East Coast so I can go see Europe.
- 1:12:29SPEAKER_09: Nope.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_09: Sent me to the West Coast.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_09: I ended up in Dubai.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_09: Dubai in the 90s is not Dubai of today, and it was not that much fun.
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_09: They can promise anything.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_09: I've learned to accept it.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_09: Yeah, I'll probably never see it, and that's okay.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_09: Have a great day.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_09: Great show as always.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_06: Thank you, Joe.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_06: Thank you, Joe, and I'm going to uh play this.
- 1:12:53SPEAKER_06: Just because of your middle comments about your own personal story.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_06: That's all.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_06: I play that uh with uh nothing but a smile on my uh on my face.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_26: Hey guys, you uh playing Trump speaking there.
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_26: Yeah if Republicans win the House and the Senate You'll go Republicans have the House and the Republicans have the Senate.
- 1:13:19SPEAKER_26: Uh how voter ID going.
- 1:13:35SPEAKER_26: In reality, because yeah, Republicans will do whatever the hell they want because they don't care about us.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_26: What if it's just a polar play?
- 1:13:46SPEAKER_26: They'll probably just hold it back just to show how important they are, just like you're doing a reporting right.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_06: Um first off, uh so cynical.
- 1:13:54SPEAKER_06: Uh two different issues here.
- 1:13:56SPEAKER_06: One has nothing to do with the other.
- 1:13:58SPEAKER_06: I'm with you.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_06: Uh we should be uh going and uh passing the Save America Act.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_06: I I I I get that.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_06: I I want that, and I'm as frustrated as anybody else is that we haven't done that yet.
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_06: Uh but I also understand why that's the case.
- 1:14:15SPEAKER_06: Because when it comes to these particular issues, unfortunately, the holdouts are looking at their own states, they're looking at their own elections, they're looking at their, you know, their own future.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_06: I don't like it.
- 1:14:28SPEAKER_06: You shouldn't like it, and you probably don't like it, but that's the reality.
- 1:14:32SPEAKER_06: But something like the Save America Act gets argued on completely different merits than something like giving a uh a dividend check, depending on what the details are.
- 1:14:41SPEAKER_06: And again, we don't know the specific details of what this entails yet.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_06: That's why we're talking about it here uh this morning.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_06: And I'm not as down with you on Republicans, but comparatively speaking, with Democrats, when it comes to who cares about what they're doing, I think this show and the previous comments that we had on this show is a really good example of the difference between Republicans and Democrats, wherein we have a lot of friends of the show that are conservatives, that are Republicans, that are questioning, rightfully so, where this money is going to come from and whether or not this is the best idea to offer up these types of or any type of dividend uh check.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_06: So again, I appreciate your comments.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_06: We'll just simply agree to disagree.
- 1:15:26SPEAKER_06: On the issue of John Fetterman showing up uh last night at the uh RNC in Dallas.
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_14: Some people think that Senator John Fetterman should switch parties, he should become a Republican.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_14: I think it's good that he stays a Democrat because it shows America what the Democrat Party used to be like.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_14: Same, rational, and having common sense.
- 1:15:50SPEAKER_24: We are forty trillion dollars in debt.
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_24: We don't need politicians promising us more cash than we don't have.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_24: That is the worst of populism.
- 1:16:02SPEAKER_24: That's the one thing I hate when Trump does it.
- 1:16:06SPEAKER_06: And as I mentioned last hour, and I will continue to mention now here on uh the show, uh, let's wait to see.
- 1:16:14SPEAKER_06: Can we collectively we can speculate, but let's collectively wait to see what the funding mechanism the funding mechanism is of this uh dividend check.
- 1:16:26SPEAKER_06: That's what I'm waiting to find out.
- 1:16:29SPEAKER_06: Right now we're speculating on, and I'm taking the stance of, okay, if this is not coming from existing revenue and adding to the debt, then let's talk about the impact that it could potentially have on voters.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_06: And with that, you can also talk about the infl uh the impact that it could potentially have on things like inflation.
- 1:16:48SPEAKER_06: But at the moment, we don't know yet what the funding mechanism is, and hopefully we'll find out before Freedom Friday uh tomorrow.
- 1:16:56SPEAKER_06: In the meantime, the bias is real and continues.
- 1:16:59SPEAKER_06: I'm looking at an associated press article here from Jonathan Cooper.
- 1:17:04SPEAKER_06: The headline uh grabbed my attention.
- 1:17:07SPEAKER_06: Trump, hoping to salvage midterms, makes a dubious pledge to give every U.S.
- 1:17:14SPEAKER_06: adult$5,000 if the GOP wins.
- 1:17:17SPEAKER_06: This is an associated press headline that could not be dripping with more bias and editorial op-ed in terms of its headline if it tried.
- 1:17:31SPEAKER_06: Hoping to salvage the midterms.
- 1:17:33SPEAKER_06: If anything, this uh Republican National Midterm Convention is an example of how Trump believes that he can defy the odds, and the polling suggests such.
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_06: And to the point that I was making before, to go so far as to say it was a dubious pledge is also filled with bias because we don't know the funding mechanism.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_06: The summary of the article is Trump pledged to give every American 5K if Republicans win the midterm elections, a proposal that would cost over$1 trillion and require congressional approval.
- 1:18:07SPEAKER_06: We don't know that it would cost$1 trillion because we don't know the details of it yet.
- 1:18:11SPEAKER_06: And that doesn't mean that every single American would get it.
- 1:18:13SPEAKER_06: And as I mentioned before, based off of previous comments from both Trump and J.D.
- 1:18:18SPEAKER_06: Vance, this would not go to every single breathing American.
- 1:18:22SPEAKER_06: There would be stipulations in place.
- 1:18:24SPEAKER_06: And specifically, that those individuals making a certain amount of money per year probably would not have access to this.
- 1:18:32SPEAKER_06: The article starts off, though, with this President Donald Trump pledged Wednesday to send every American five grand if Republicans win the House and Senate.
- 1:18:39SPEAKER_06: An extraordinary gambit uh to reverse the party's sagging fortunes in November.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_06: The election hasn't happened, and they're already saying sagging fortunes in November, and we don't even have any evidence whatsoever that the Republicans won't come out on top.
- 1:19:00SPEAKER_06: So the sagging fortunes line in the AP story was a link.
- 1:19:05SPEAKER_06: I'm like, okay, so what does Jonathan Cooper at the Associated Press consider sagging fortunes?
- 1:19:12SPEAKER_06: You click the link and it goes to a headline.
- 1:19:16SPEAKER_06: The GOP was confident about keeping its Senate majority.
- 1:19:20SPEAKER_06: Now the fight for control is wide open.
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_06: And with that was a picture of Ken Paxton and James Tallerico.
- 1:19:28SPEAKER_06: So the AP is just extrapolating that these are sagging fortunes, trying to salvage the midterms.
- 1:19:39SPEAKER_06: We don't know if anything's even broken yet.
- 1:19:42SPEAKER_06: I just wanted to share this with you based off of the fact that it's just so biased.
- 1:19:46SPEAKER_06: But this is what the Associated Press puts out and what gets reprinted in all kinds of different publications.
- 1:19:51SPEAKER_06: I ended up pulling this from, I believe, Fox 9 did the reprint on either Fox 9 or KSTP.
- 1:19:58SPEAKER_06: But when it comes to stories stories like this, they all go and end up pulling from the AP, and this is the bias that's embedded in it.
- 1:20:04SPEAKER_06: Now, to the issue of uh Talo Rico, Ken Paxton, that race in Texas, President Donald Trump had some comments uh last night during the Republican national midterm uh convention.
- 1:20:16SPEAKER_41: He described himself as a person who hates Christianity, states that God is transgender, he called the American flag a complicated symbol of hate, claimed that the Ten Commandments are a form of fascism, and when he was asked what he loved most in the world, he said, I love transgender children, which is most of somebody that hated me.
- 1:20:58SPEAKER_41: What the hell is this myself?
- 1:21:32SPEAKER_41: Rolling up all over the place.
- 1:21:47SPEAKER_41: A few months ago.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_41: This is not gonna be just it's not gonna work out.
- 1:22:11SPEAKER_06: James Tallerico has been uh making more headlines uh as of late, walking back his unhinged comments that he's made in the past.
- 1:22:22SPEAKER_06: The guy is listen, the fact that anybody, the fact that this race is even remotely close, it tells you the state of politics right now.
- 1:22:30SPEAKER_06: Because James Tallerico is an incredibly creepy individual who is now going out of his way to walk back multiple statements that he said in the past, trying to walk back this time, his unhinged lies that there are six different sexes.
- 1:22:46SPEAKER_03: During the 2021 hearing, you said there are six biological sexes.
- 1:22:51SPEAKER_03: Do you still believe that, standing here with me right now?
- 1:22:53SPEAKER_07: No.
- 1:22:54SPEAKER_07: Uh I've missed the mark on some of my past statements.
- 1:22:56SPEAKER_07: I will be the first to admit it.
- 1:22:58SPEAKER_07: What I meant is that there are two sexes, and then there's a small percentage of people with genetic abnormalities.
- 1:23:04SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but that's not what he what he said.
- 1:23:07SPEAKER_06: Interesting wording, by the way.
- 1:23:08SPEAKER_06: Oh, I just missed uh, you know, I missed the mark on that.
- 1:23:11SPEAKER_06: That's on that's on me.
- 1:23:12SPEAKER_06: I just I just I missed the mark.
- 1:23:14SPEAKER_07: I obviously didn't say it correctly.
- 1:23:15SPEAKER_07: There are not six sexes, there are two.
- 1:23:17SPEAKER_07: Um and and I think the reason that politicians in that convention center across the street want to talk about six sexes is because they don't want to talk about six dollar diesel.
- 1:23:28SPEAKER_07: Everywhere I go across the state of Texas, people are struggling to survive in this economy.
- 1:23:33SPEAKER_07: They are struggling to afford the basics groceries, gas, utilities, healthcare.
- 1:23:37SPEAKER_07: And that's what I'm gonna be focused on from now until elections.
- 1:23:40SPEAKER_04: So just to nail it down, here standing with me, you can confidently say there are two sexes, a man and a woman.
- 1:23:46SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 1:23:49SPEAKER_06: This is audio from uh the pastor at James Tallerico's church.
- 1:23:59SPEAKER_06: Admitting that members of the church wished that Donald Trump had been assassinated.
- 1:24:06SPEAKER_06: That's not a church anymore.
- 1:24:08SPEAKER_06: It's anybody who would have that opinion is clearly not following uh the the Bible the way that they should.
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_06: To call this a church, no, it's a it's a political activist organization if that's what the church-going members actually believe.
- 1:24:25SPEAKER_01: If you polled our membership and asked them whether they were Christian, agnostic, or atheist, the vast majority would say agnostic or atheist.
- 1:24:35SPEAKER_01: So I because they don't buy the religion that has been that we invent but that we that we got from the Puritans.
- 1:24:43SPEAKER_01: We still have people in this church that wish that that young man had not just nicked his ear, but more successful.
- 1:24:52SPEAKER_06: Apologies, I didn't mean to hit that there.
- 1:24:54SPEAKER_06: One last clip regarding James Tallerico, and this is actually coming from uh Ken Paxton uh from uh last night uh at the uh at the event and the comments that he had about Taller Rico.
- 1:25:06SPEAKER_45: And this guy is really obsessed with transitions.
- 1:25:10SPEAKER_45: He wants to transition your kids.
- 1:25:15SPEAKER_45: He wants to transition Texas off of oil and gas.
- 1:25:20SPEAKER_45: How about we transition him and his crazy ideas right out of Texas?
- 1:25:27SPEAKER_06: Again, that was Ken Paxton from uh last night's uh RNC.
- 1:25:31SPEAKER_06: Uh, I want to address just something regarding the technical aspects of the show.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_06: I get a smattering of comments on occasion of the audio being, you know, off or low in some spots and higher in uh in other spots.
- 1:25:43SPEAKER_06: Try if you're you're more than likely listening to something other than the MixLR feed and the app, so I would encourage you to go and check that out check that out.
- 1:25:51SPEAKER_06: I think that's where we have some of the problems.
- 1:25:53SPEAKER_06: And I just I'm hesitant to go and address stuff like that.
- 1:25:56SPEAKER_06: Um, however, every once in a while I get a comment that pops in, and I want to be able to go and reply to individuals.
- 1:26:02SPEAKER_06: So if you can go and uh switch over again to the uh XLR app, it's one of the best places to go and get the audio and the consistency that you're looking for.
- 1:26:12SPEAKER_06: Now, here is the uh blast that came in a moment ago on the blaster line that I uh mistakenly started to play.
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_15: Good morning, John.
- 1:26:20SPEAKER_15: President Trump's standard give$5,000.
- 1:26:23SPEAKER_15: If you're asking why people don't believe it would happen, look at Minnesota.
- 1:26:28SPEAKER_15: Didn't Governor Wolf promise all Minnesotans they would get a rebate check out of that$18 billion surplus that seems to have disappeared.
- 1:26:39SPEAKER_15: It's nothing bad on Trump.
- 1:26:40SPEAKER_15: It's just we've been burned by Democrats so many times we don't believe anything anybody says.
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_15: Just a thought.
- 1:26:48SPEAKER_06: No, I understand that people don't believe anything that, you know, people don't have faith and trust in politics.
- 1:26:52SPEAKER_06: I don't think there's any comparisons between Trump offering up a$5,000 dividend um uh check or uh, you know, Governor Walls at the time going and saying we're gonna get a certain amount of money back and then we don't end up getting that uh that money back.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_06: But as always, thank you so much for the uh for the comment.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_06: All right, we've got Congressman Tom Tiffany joining us here in just a moment on the show.
- 1:27:16SPEAKER_06: We'll continue to get to more of uh your thoughts.
- 1:27:18SPEAKER_06: It is the one-year anniversary.
- 1:27:20SPEAKER_06: One year later, Charlie Kirk's legacy calls us to go and stand uh together.
- 1:27:26SPEAKER_06: I had some audio of both Charlie Kirk and uh President Donald Trump talking about Charlie Kirk uh last night at the Republican National Midterm Convention.
- 1:27:36SPEAKER_06: I'll share that with you.
- 1:27:37SPEAKER_06: Also, Representative Tom Emmer's speech.
- 1:27:40SPEAKER_06: Uh, one of the uh highlights from those that were on the ground uh last night, from those uh from what I've heard and from those who are actually at the event.
- 1:27:49SPEAKER_06: So we'll share that uh with you.
- 1:27:50SPEAKER_06: It's all coming up here on the John Justice show presented by American Experiment.
- 1:27:54SPEAKER_06: And I want to encourage you to make sure you head on over when you get a chance to M I N N E L E.

- 1:28:40SPEAKER_06: That's minileaf.com.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_46: And now here is commentary from the guests, hosts, and policy fellows of Center of the American Experiment.
- 1:28:47SPEAKER_46: To learn more, go to AmericanExperiment.org.
- 1:28:51SPEAKER_48: There are rooms and apartments and shelter space available for all of these people.
- 1:28:57SPEAKER_48: And in fact, uh speaking with a Native American leader uh last summer or a little bit longer ago, and he said he currently had five apartments rented for five different individuals living in a particular homeless encampment, but they wouldn't stay there.
- 1:29:15SPEAKER_48: So we're talking, you know, thousands, tens of thousands of dollars a month being uh shelled out for apartments that people aren't even using because uh they like the permissive atmosphere in the encampments and the ability to continue to use fentanyl and other drugs.
- 1:29:33SPEAKER_47: Think about it.
- 1:29:34SPEAKER_47: Minnesota has always been a low crime state, but according to the most recent Bureau of Criminal Apprehension data, we are now above the national average when it comes to part one crimes, a category that includes crimes like murder, assault, rape, and carjackings.
- 1:29:51SPEAKER_47: Think about it.
- 1:29:52SPEAKER_47: Minnesota is now a high crime state.
- 1:29:55SPEAKER_47: Visit highcrime.com to learn more.
- 1:29:58SPEAKER_47: Think about it is brought to you by Center of the American Experiment, Minnesota's think tank.
- 1:30:03SPEAKER_12: So Tom Hauser of KSTP TV ran a story questioning the origin and accuracy of the claim that fraud in Minnesota amounts to nine billion dollars.
- 1:30:13SPEAKER_12: Obviously, we've all heard this claim.
- 1:30:15SPEAKER_12: We use it here at American Experiment um to help explain why so many Minnesotans, 58% of Minnesotans, in fact, believe the state is on the wrong track.
- 1:30:26SPEAKER_12: That$9 billion figure gets used all of the time, and it's used by people in positions of authority candidates all across the board.
- 1:30:33SPEAKER_12: Hauser correctly traces the origin of that figure to Joe Thompson of the U.S.
- 1:30:38SPEAKER_12: Attorney's Office in Minneapolis.
- 1:30:39SPEAKER_12: Thompson said that half or more of the$18 billion in spending on 14 high-risk Medicaid programs in Minnesota was fraudulent.
- 1:30:49SPEAKER_12: Asked and answered, KSTP could have concluded their piece right there, as far as I'm concerned.
- 1:30:55SPEAKER_12: It's also worth noting that, like, this was on 14 high-risk Medicaid programs.
- 1:31:00SPEAKER_12: He wasn't even referencing all of Minnesota government, right?
- 1:31:04SPEAKER_12: Looking at all programs.
- 1:31:05SPEAKER_12: This was 14 Medicaid programs.
- 1:31:08SPEAKER_12: But Hauser goes on to compare the$9 billion assessment against a ledger of money connected to fraud convictions, including the feeding our future case, which came in a little under$300 million.
- 1:31:18SPEAKER_12: His conclusion is that the money uncovered through investigations, arrests, and convictions will likely never reach$9 billion.
- 1:31:26SPEAKER_12: Uh, aren't these two different numbers?
- 1:31:28SPEAKER_12: I mean, the amount of money that we're actually able to go after and prove in a court of law was fraudulently taken and likely the amount of fraud that was committed.

- 1:33:12SPEAKER_06: A lot of great pieces, a couple of which we'll uh address this morning, especially when uh the candidate for auditor Scott Jensen joins us in studio coming up just after, again, uh 8 30 uh this morning.
- 1:33:27SPEAKER_06: I guess Tom Tiffany is uh delayed.
- 1:33:28SPEAKER_06: I just got a message that just came over.
- 1:33:30SPEAKER_06: Tom Tiffany is delayed a bit, so let's go here.
- 1:33:33SPEAKER_06: As your comments continue to roll in, we have more audio from uh last night's Republican National uh midterm convention, but it is the first anniversary of Charlie Kirk's murder.
- 1:33:43SPEAKER_06: Yale Ecstein reflecting on his legacy of standing against hatred and defending human dignity.
- 1:33:49SPEAKER_06: I want to share with you some of uh what uh Yale had has written in the Daily Wire.
- 1:33:56SPEAKER_06: First off, let me play you some uh uh some clips.
- 1:33:59SPEAKER_06: President Donald Trump last night addressing the one year uh since the assassination of uh Charlie Kirk.
- 1:34:05SPEAKER_41: Exactly one year ago tomorrow, a far-left extremist assassinated my great friend and conservative voice, Charlie Kirk, because Charlie Kirk spoke the truth.
- 1:34:19SPEAKER_41: What shocked millions of Americans was not only the fact that Charlie was murdered as bad as it was, but also how many people made an excuse for it or cheered for it.
- 1:34:31SPEAKER_41: They were cheering some people, sick people.
- 1:34:34SPEAKER_41: For a brief moment the mask came off the radical left, and you saw what they were really all about.
- 1:34:41SPEAKER_41: And now those same people are trying to get power over you in this election, and they are all voting Democrat.
- 1:34:50SPEAKER_41: Okay, they're all voting every one of them, and you can't let it happen.
- 1:34:53SPEAKER_41: We will not let them win.
- 1:34:55SPEAKER_41: And in Charlie's honor, I just want to say we love you, Charlie, and Erica is here someplace.
- 1:35:02SPEAKER_41: Erica, where is Erica?
- 1:35:06SPEAKER_41: Thank you very much, and thank you, Erica.
- 1:35:08SPEAKER_41: And I think Erica's gonna be here tomorrow, too.
- 1:35:10SPEAKER_41: She's put up with something, boy, oh boy, what she's had to go through.
- 1:35:14SPEAKER_41: And the most beautiful family.
- 1:35:16SPEAKER_41: It's just terrible.
- 1:35:19SPEAKER_06: President Donald Trump last night, again, going and commenting on the one year uh since the assassination of uh Charlie Kirk.
- 1:35:27SPEAKER_06: I have some audio that I'll be sharing with you later on this morning from uh Charlie Kirk here on the John Justice show presented by American Experiment.
- 1:35:36SPEAKER_06: And I'll dive into some of the thoughts of an individual who had time, who had spent quite a bit of time with uh with Charlie Kirk a little bit later on uh in the show.
- 1:35:44SPEAKER_06: Very pleased uh to welcome to the show Wisconsin gubernatorial uh candidates.
- 1:35:49SPEAKER_06: Uh first appearance on the new iteration of the John Justice Show presented by American Experiment, but it's always great to speak with him.
- 1:35:55SPEAKER_06: Uh Gubernatorial candidate again in Wisconsin, Tom Tiffany.
- 1:35:59SPEAKER_06: Good morning, Tom.
- 1:36:00SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much for joining the show this morning.
- 1:36:02SPEAKER_36: Yeah, so pleased to hear about the partnership between John Justice and American Experiment.
- 1:36:06SPEAKER_36: I'm sure it's gonna be it's gonna be a hit.
- 1:36:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it's been uh it's been a fantastic experience uh so far.
- 1:36:14SPEAKER_06: Uh I had a vision for what I wanted to do uh with the show in uh in light of what happened with my previous employer.
- 1:36:20SPEAKER_06: Uh they saw that vision and we've been uh executing it.
- 1:36:23SPEAKER_06: Uh continue, you know, the the mission here of American uh experiment, which I know is something that you value uh as well.
- 1:36:30SPEAKER_06: So are you at are you in Dallas for the for the midterm RNC or are you uh in Wisconsin uh still campaigning?
- 1:36:37SPEAKER_36: I'm in Wisconsin.
- 1:36:38SPEAKER_36: We've got a full schedule every day this week and you know all the way to November 3rd.
- 1:36:43SPEAKER_36: We've got thousands of people to meet here in Wisconsin, and we're doing that every day.
- 1:36:47SPEAKER_36: In fact, we're having a press conference this morning in Waw and Green Bay talking about my opponent David Crowley's week on crime policies that he's foisted on Milwaukee County.
- 1:36:58SPEAKER_36: We cannot afford to have them here for the state of Wisconsin.
- 1:37:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I've been uh seeing uh the clips online of uh from your campaign.
- 1:37:07SPEAKER_06: Uh you guys have been really um aggressive uh going uh going after your uh your opponent in that race, and understandably so.
- 1:37:14SPEAKER_06: I mean, Wisconsin, you know, Wisconsinites, if that's uh the proper terminology, you know, they are they they have a choice that they face when it comes to the future of uh of your great state, just like us here in uh in Minnesota.
- 1:37:27SPEAKER_06: What are some of the biggest issues that you are hearing from the voters that you've been addressing uh the most as you've been out campaigning?
- 1:37:35SPEAKER_06: And has it changed since you launched your bid uh for uh governor in uh Wisconsin?
- 1:37:41SPEAKER_06: Tom Tiffany?
- 1:37:42SPEAKER_36: Yeah, so John, we launched a year ago last September, and it really hasn't changed since then.
- 1:37:49SPEAKER_36: But to me, it's three things affordability, accountability, and common sense.
- 1:37:54SPEAKER_36: The affordability, we see prices are too high, and the governor can do something about that.
- 1:38:00SPEAKER_36: And uh the accountability part of it, the governor can definitely do something about that.
- 1:38:04SPEAKER_36: And your listeners that are from Minnesota or those western Wisconsinites that get so much of their news from the Twin Cities, they know all about the lack of accountability by a governor to rein in the fraud and abuse that is going on in state government.
- 1:38:19SPEAKER_36: We got to make sure that we root it out in Wisconsin.
- 1:38:22SPEAKER_36: I don't know if we have it on the scale that you have it in Minnesota, but it's certainly a lesson that we can learn from.
- 1:38:28SPEAKER_36: And there is some here, and we need to root out every bit of it.
- 1:38:32SPEAKER_36: And then the final thing is just common sense.
- 1:38:34SPEAKER_36: I mean, look at what uh Governor Kathy Holt put in her budget in New York.
- 1:38:39SPEAKER_36: Um renaming mothers as it like was a birthing person, something like that, but renames mothers in the state budget.
- 1:38:47SPEAKER_36: We can't afford to have that craziness in Wisconsin.
- 1:38:51SPEAKER_06: Did you have the opportunity to uh take in uh any of uh what President Donald Trump uh had to say last night or the other speakers at uh the Republican National Midterm uh convention, uh Tom Tiffany?
- 1:39:03SPEAKER_36: Yeah, unfortunately I did not.
- 1:39:05SPEAKER_36: I'm hoping to catch up this morning uh when I get an hour of downtime here after our first press conference, but uh I did not, um, but I'm looking forward to hearing what they have to say.
- 1:39:16SPEAKER_06: It's uh it's been uh it's been an interesting morning, and and I don't know if you've seen it or not, but Trump uh dropped a bit of a bombshell that we've had a lot of listeners responding to with this idea of five thousand dollar uh dividend checks.
- 1:39:28SPEAKER_06: Were Republicans able to retain complete control of uh of Congress?
- 1:39:33SPEAKER_06: Uh I would be remiss if I didn't ask you your your thoughts on that.
- 1:39:36SPEAKER_06: That's pretty much the only details that Trump laid out and what we've been talking about this morning is you know, the biggest question that I have and the listeners have is the funding mechanism um behind that.
- 1:39:45SPEAKER_06: But do you have an instinctive reaction to Trump making that announcement last night?
- 1:39:49SPEAKER_36: Anytime we can return money to the taxpayers, we should do it.
- 1:39:52SPEAKER_36: I think about no taxes on tips and overtime that I voted for, as well as no federal taxes on social security.
- 1:40:00SPEAKER_36: And um that's really been a success.
- 1:40:02SPEAKER_36: I mean, I just ran into a welder a week ago from Marshville who came up to me and said, I work 10 hours of overtime every week.
- 1:40:10SPEAKER_36: And I do that because I want to have a little more money in my pocketbook.
- 1:40:14SPEAKER_36: He said, as a result of no taxes on overtime, he took home eleven hundred dollars more during tax filing time here in 2026.
- 1:40:24SPEAKER_36: And so it's real money to people.
- 1:40:26SPEAKER_36: And what I'm going to do as a governor is we're gonna make sure people have more money in their pockets.
- 1:40:32SPEAKER_36: We have a three billion dollar uh surplus here in the state of Wisconsin.
- 1:40:35SPEAKER_36: We're gonna return every penny of it to the taxpayers, we're gonna reduce middle income tax brackets by 10%.
- 1:40:43SPEAKER_36: We are going to uh we're going to do no taxes on 10% overtime.
- 1:40:48SPEAKER_36: But for state purposes also, we are going to return money to the taxpayers.
- 1:40:54SPEAKER_36: And the final one, and probably most importantly, we're gonna end the 400-year property tax increase here in Wisconsin.
- 1:41:00SPEAKER_36: Now that's peculiar to us, but for the next 399 years, because year one was last year, the property taxes can go up in Wisconsin significantly.
- 1:41:11SPEAKER_36: And we need to end that.
- 1:41:12SPEAKER_36: I will end the 400-year property tax increase and then freeze people's property taxes.
- 1:41:18SPEAKER_06: How does Wisconsin compare to the climate of politics nationwide?
- 1:41:23SPEAKER_06: I know that in the run-up to the primary, uh, certainly Wisconsin had uh its share of those on the far left extreme in terms of the candidates, although your opponent, I don't think, is far removed from other individuals who are gaining uh a lot more attention media-wise.
- 1:41:40SPEAKER_06: But I'm curious, um, you know, your take on politics right now in Wisconsin compared to the rest of the country, especially given the fact that we do see so many of these self-proclaimed Democrat socialists, and in my opinion, uh, Tom Tiffany, extremists that have been able to make a ground across the country.
- 1:41:57SPEAKER_06: Um, you know, how does it compare with what's been going on at the state level?
- 1:42:01SPEAKER_36: So the big story during the primary was Francesca Hong, right?
- 1:42:04SPEAKER_36: The self-admitted socialist from Madison.
- 1:42:07SPEAKER_36: But there wasn't a dimesworth of difference of all the candidates that were running for governor on the Democrat side in Wisconsin.
- 1:42:14SPEAKER_36: And in fact, my opponent now who won, David Crowley, he said early on that there's very little difference between me and Francesca Hong.
- 1:42:22SPEAKER_36: So you basically have a socialist who is now trying to pretend as he tacked back towards the center to fool the voters here on November 3rd.
- 1:42:31SPEAKER_36: And he's trying to pretend that he didn't say anything like that.
- 1:42:36SPEAKER_36: So their policies are much the same.
- 1:42:38SPEAKER_36: I mean, look at David Crowley, he has raised taxes every year as a county executive in Milwaukee County, except one.
- 1:42:45SPEAKER_36: And then that one year he nearly doubled the sales tax in Milwaukee County, making the county more and more unaffordable.
- 1:42:52SPEAKER_36: And he has a terrible soft on crime record.
- 1:42:55SPEAKER_36: I mean, he has given three tablets to prisoners in the county jail system in Milwaukee County, one of them, a violent offender, messaged 1,500 times to his victim from within that jail cell.
- 1:43:09SPEAKER_36: He reached out via that tablet 1,500 times to threaten his victim.
- 1:43:15SPEAKER_36: That's the title of Wisconsin.
- 1:43:16SPEAKER_36: We'll see in uh if we end up with David Crowley as cover.
- 1:43:20SPEAKER_06: Wow.
- 1:43:21SPEAKER_06: There's uh there's been an interesting um uh anecdotes, probably the best way I can describe it.
- 1:43:28SPEAKER_06: But a lot of individuals, as they've been talking with various Democrats, DFLers here in Minnesota, there's sort of a common theme that's emerged.
- 1:43:38SPEAKER_06: And it's this idea that surprisingly, when you have a Republican and a Democrat here end up talking, you find out the Democrat actually aligns with the Republican Party platform and policies a lot more often than you think.
- 1:43:51SPEAKER_06: And it's this idea that, you know, Democrats in Minnesota want to vote for other Democrats, but they really want those other Democrats they're voting for to actually be governing more like Republicans.
- 1:44:03SPEAKER_06: Um, you know, the Democrat Party in and of itself has done such a good job of vilifying conservatives and Republicans that it's convinced a large uh portion of their base to never vote for Republicans at all, regardless of what they're running on.
- 1:44:16SPEAKER_06: Do you see something similar?
- 1:44:17SPEAKER_06: It doesn't seem to be the case with your opponent in the governor's race, Tom Tiffany, in terms of his um extremist views.
- 1:44:24SPEAKER_06: But do you see similar sentiments when it comes to your voters where they want to vote for Democrats, but often they would like those Democrats to govern more like Republicans?
- 1:44:33SPEAKER_36: Why did they vilify President Trump?
- 1:44:36SPEAKER_36: Why have they called every Republican nominee for president?
- 1:44:39SPEAKER_36: They've equated them to Hitler, going all the way back to George Bush and probably before.
- 1:44:44SPEAKER_36: But all of them, including John McCain and Mitt Romney, they were um proclaimed as being the next Hitler to come to America.
- 1:44:51SPEAKER_36: They have to vilify us because they know that people generally, and I would say 80 to 90 percent of people pay property taxes and they want them under control.
- 1:45:02SPEAKER_36: They would like to have their income taxes reduced.
- 1:45:05SPEAKER_36: I mean, we've had utility rates go up over$2 billion in Wisconsin in the last eight years, and people don't want their electric bill to go up.
- 1:45:14SPEAKER_36: And so you see all these things that people really have in common that I think are largely nonpartisan, that is why they have to vilify us.
- 1:45:22SPEAKER_36: And that is why you'll see in my race David Crowley, the first thing that comes out of his mouth all the time is Donald Trump when he talks about Tom Tiffany, because he is against Donald Trump, but what is he for?
- 1:45:35SPEAKER_36: Because I can tell you what I'm for.
- 1:45:37SPEAKER_36: I'm for Wisconsin.
- 1:45:39SPEAKER_06: Talking with uh again, Wisconsin Kubernetes candidate Tom Tiffany.
- 1:45:43SPEAKER_06: I know you have a busy morning this morning.
- 1:45:45SPEAKER_06: One more thing before I uh let you go this morning.
- 1:45:47SPEAKER_06: And again, thank you so much for uh joining the show.
- 1:45:50SPEAKER_06: Uh tomorrow, uh 25 years uh since that uh fateful day on uh on 9-11.
- 1:45:57SPEAKER_06: Uh I'm you know, I'm curious to get your thoughts.
- 1:45:59SPEAKER_06: Uh I hadn't, you know, we've been so focused on the election, I've been so focused on the show as of late, and you know, really has been over the course of the past week that the you know the the the thought of of 9-11 and especially 25 years on is you know really been weighing heavily on my mind, especially how many of our you know younger generation just simply are unaware of the totality of that day or haven't been told about it.
- 1:46:22SPEAKER_06: But um, you know, Tom Tiffany, I just wanted to uh you know to hear your thoughts on the 25th anniversary of uh of 9-11.
- 1:46:29SPEAKER_06: And if you don't mind my asking, where were you on that morning?
- 1:46:33SPEAKER_36: Um we were running our business, we were um getting ready for another day, my wife and I to um uh to conduct business here in northern Wisconsin with our hospitality business, and then we heard about that, and um I immediately wanted to get more details, but there weren't a lot of details immediately, but as it unfolded, it was truly sobering for America.
- 1:46:58SPEAKER_36: And I hope everybody remembers this.
- 1:47:00SPEAKER_36: It seems like it doesn't seem like 25 years ago, does it, John?
- 1:47:03SPEAKER_06: No, I don't know, it really doesn't.
- 1:47:05SPEAKER_36: Very recently, but I hope people remember that this was a part of Islamic extremism, and it is still out there in the world.
- 1:47:15SPEAKER_36: I mean, you see what's happening in the Middle East right now when you have some peace-loving nations, whether it's Israel or the other countries like Saudi Arabia and other cities want to live in peace, Iran refuses to allow them to do that.
- 1:47:29SPEAKER_36: That extremism is still out there, and it just shows that we always have to be vigilant on this front.
- 1:47:35SPEAKER_36: And I hope that that's a lesson that young people will learn from this, because if we're not vigilant, we could be the victims once again.
- 1:47:43SPEAKER_36: And you don't ever want that to happen.
- 1:47:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah, and it looks like with a lot of these uh these lot of these various candidates around the country, it's just too many people have forgotten.
- 1:47:52SPEAKER_06: You look at New York City, and it's just it's stunning to me that in a relatively short period of time of 25 years, it seems like a lot of people have forgotten what happened on that uh on that day.
- 1:48:01SPEAKER_06: And I hope that uh I hope people are reminded tomorrow.
- 1:48:04SPEAKER_06: I really am.
- 1:48:04SPEAKER_06: We're gonna be spending a lot of time talking about it on tomorrow's show, but I certainly wanted to get uh your thoughts uh this morning.
- 1:48:10SPEAKER_06: So uh thank you so much uh again, Wisconsin, a gubernatorial candidate, Tom Tiffany, uh, for joining us this morning.
- 1:48:16SPEAKER_06: Continue good luck in uh in your campaign.
- 1:48:18SPEAKER_06: And any uh any final thoughts before I uh let you go this morning.
- 1:48:22SPEAKER_36: Hey, this is one of the biggest races in the country, and we have a real shot at winning.
- 1:48:27SPEAKER_36: I just say to people, we got to make sure that Minnesota's madness and Illinois's insanity does not become Wisconsin's way of life, and you know it better than anyone.
- 1:48:37SPEAKER_36: Let's not, Minnesota are Wisconsin.
- 1:48:39SPEAKER_36: I love you guys over in Minnesota, but my gosh, let's not do that in Wisconsin and let's unlock Wisconsin's great potential here that we have.
- 1:48:48SPEAKER_36: That's what I'll be working on every day as the next governor.
- 1:48:51SPEAKER_06: Always great to uh to see you and to speak with you, sir.
- 1:48:54SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much for time uh for the time this morning, and uh, hope you have a fantastic rest of your day.
- 1:49:00SPEAKER_06: You know, to the point of, and this is a really good uh this is a good opportunity uh to play that clip that I mentioned a moment ago, President Donald Trump uh talking about uh the one year uh since the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
- 1:49:14SPEAKER_06: And I, for lack of a better way to describe it, I think it's interesting.
- 1:49:18SPEAKER_06: Um I believe that everything happens for for a reason, but now we're gonna have these two events that will always occur together.
- 1:49:28SPEAKER_06: The passing of another year of the assassination of Charlie Kirk and the good that he was trying to do, and ultimately what he was murdered over.
- 1:49:39SPEAKER_06: Uh, and also uh that fateful day on 9 11 um tomorrow, uh 25 years ago.
- 1:49:46SPEAKER_06: Uh with that, here's some comments uh from Charlie Kirk.
- 1:49:50SPEAKER_06: I was doing my prep yesterday.
- 1:49:52SPEAKER_06: Um, this was written a few days ago.
- 1:49:54SPEAKER_06: It says today is September 8th, one year ago today.
- 1:49:56SPEAKER_06: I shared this video, the poster on X of Charlie Kirk warning that the left will use Islam to bring down America.
- 1:50:06SPEAKER_06: Interesting how relevant Charlie Kirk's comments are today, given what we were just talking about with Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany.
- 1:50:25SPEAKER_35: And the American way of life is very simple.
- 1:50:28SPEAKER_35: I want to be able to get married, buy a home, have kids, allow them to ride their bike till the sun goes down.
- 1:50:35SPEAKER_35: Send them to a good school.
- 1:50:36SPEAKER_35: Have a low-crime neighborhood.
- 1:50:38SPEAKER_35: Not have my kid be taught a lesbian, gay, transgender garbage in their school.
- 1:50:55SPEAKER_35: That's important.
- 1:50:58SPEAKER_35: We want the American way of life, which is, by the way, Christendom.
- 1:51:03SPEAKER_35: Christians.
- 1:51:05SPEAKER_35: Our sacrifice, our toil, our vision, the outgrowth of the scriptures gave us Western civilization.
- 1:51:11SPEAKER_35: And this is where I think is a great rally in crime.
- 1:51:13SPEAKER_35: Doesn't matter if you're Hispanic, doesn't matter if you're Asian, doesn't matter if you're black or white.
- 1:51:18SPEAKER_35: Everybody, if you are Christian and Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, these two threats are combining forces to come after us.
- 1:51:26SPEAKER_35: And it's time that the church stands and rises up against it.
- 1:51:30SPEAKER_06: Writing in the Daily Wire, uh, Yale Eckstein, uh, reflecting on the legacy of Charlie Kirk says, uh, one year ago I received the kind of news that stops you in your tracks, Charlie Kirk had been murdered.
- 1:51:45SPEAKER_06: Uh, and I'll, you know, just like 9-11, different levels, right here, obviously.
- 1:51:51SPEAKER_06: But events that you'll never be able to shake when you first found out, and I won't be able to when I first heard about what had happened to Charlie Kirk.
- 1:51:59SPEAKER_06: And probably uh the other memory attached to that was not only finding out almost in real time when Charlie Kirk was assassinated, but then going and sharing the news with my wife and my my kids.
- 1:52:13SPEAKER_06: They had been out running errands and came home and I actually met them out in the out in the driveway to tell them what had what had happened.
- 1:52:19SPEAKER_06: And um, I'll never forget the the response, um, the heartbreak uh that on my on my wife's face when I when I told her about what had what had happened.
- 1:52:29SPEAKER_06: And you know, the obvious concern that my boys have, considering what I do for a living.
- 1:52:34SPEAKER_06: But uh this friend of Charlie uh says this uh I had I had sat down with Charlie two months earlier.
- 1:52:39SPEAKER_06: What was supposed to be a short meeting became an hour and a half discussion.
- 1:52:43SPEAKER_06: We spoke about Israel, we spoke about faith, we spoke about the responsibility that comes with having a voice in a world where words can either build bridges or tear people apart.
- 1:52:51SPEAKER_06: Most of all, we spoke about the values that we shared.
- 1:52:54SPEAKER_06: Today, on the first anniversary of Charlie's death, I find myself thinking about how I knew him on a personal level as a young man who believed deeply in his faith and required him to act.
- 1:53:04SPEAKER_06: Charlie understood something that Christians and Jews have understood for generations.
- 1:53:08SPEAKER_06: Faith is not something that simply we hold in our hearts.
- 1:53:11SPEAKER_06: It's something we live.
- 1:53:13SPEAKER_06: It means standing up against hatred.
- 1:53:15SPEAKER_06: It means defending human dignity when it's under attack.
- 1:53:18SPEAKER_06: It means refusing to remain silent when Jewish people are targeted because they are Jewish, or when Christians are persecuted because they believe in Jesus.
- 1:53:28SPEAKER_06: It's always stunning to me the number of religions that are exalted by the media, by the left because it's politically expedient for them to do so, while when it comes to Jews and when it comes to Christians, they're constantly being criticized and under attack.
- 1:53:48SPEAKER_06: The same leeway is never given because it's a threat to those individuals that'll be more than happy to exalt everybody else's religions as long as they can take advantage of it.
- 1:54:00SPEAKER_06: The last lesson feels especially important today.
- 1:54:03SPEAKER_06: It means having the courage to speak, even when speaking comes with a cost.
- 1:54:06SPEAKER_06: Charlie was killed while doing what he had done countless times before, speaking publicly, engaging people he disagreed with in conversation and challenging them to think for themselves.
- 1:54:14SPEAKER_06: He believed that even if we disagree with someone's politics, rebuke their ideas, or even strongly oppose their beliefs, disagreement should never become justification for violence.
- 1:54:24SPEAKER_06: When we allow hatred to turn on our opponents into nothing more than enemies who must be destroyed, we cross a dangerous line.
- 1:54:33SPEAKER_06: And in this uh history, especially Jewish history, has taught us where this road leads.
- 1:54:38SPEAKER_06: This is why Charlie's death cannot simply be remembered as another senseless tragedy.
- 1:54:43SPEAKER_06: It should be a reminder that we must reject hatred before it becomes violence, a reminder that Christians and Jews must stand together when anti-Semitism rises, and that defending Israel and standing with the Jewish people is not nearly a political position.
- 1:54:58SPEAKER_06: For millions of Christians, it is an expression of faith and a recognition of the biblical and moral bond that connects our communities.
- 1:55:06SPEAKER_06: You know, it really is stunning to see what's happened in New York City and how the central location where this attack took place and the impact that it had there, it seems as if people have just suddenly forgotten all about it.
- 1:55:29SPEAKER_06: A coalition of 9-11 family members, first responders, and elected officials gathered on the steps of City Hall in New York on Tuesday to deliver a message to New York City Mayor Zoharon Mamdani stay away from this year's September 11th memorial service.
- 1:55:46SPEAKER_06: I have a couple of clips from that uh press conference that took place earlier this week.
- 1:55:50SPEAKER_40: On that fateful day at 9-11, he looked out my window on 34th Street and 7th Avenue or saw the Twin Towers go down.
- 1:55:58SPEAKER_40: I'm a veteran, United States veteran.
- 1:56:00SPEAKER_40: And I don't have a whole lot to say about Zolan Mangani.
- 1:56:04SPEAKER_40: He should not be here.
- 1:56:05SPEAKER_40: I wrote him a letter on August the 3rd, it's up on our website, explaining why he's such a divisive figure.
- 1:56:11SPEAKER_40: He said that something happened on 9-11.
- 1:56:14SPEAKER_40: I'll tell you what happened.
- 1:56:15SPEAKER_40: Radical Muslims came in here to bomb the United States of America.
- 1:56:19SPEAKER_40: I don't say Muslims, because that's wrong.
- 1:56:22SPEAKER_40: I'm talking about radical Muslims.
- 1:56:24SPEAKER_40: He can't bring himself to say that.
- 1:56:26SPEAKER_40: He's more concerned about Islamophobia than he is the death of 3,000 people, innocent people on that day.
- 1:56:32SPEAKER_40: This man is a disgrace to veterans.
- 1:56:34SPEAKER_40: And believe me, as a Catholic, we contacted the NYPD, the FDNY, and Port Authority a year later.
- 1:56:41SPEAKER_40: 85 to 90% of the first respondents who were murdered, they were Catholics.
- 1:56:46SPEAKER_40: So we have a special interest in that, too.
- 1:56:48SPEAKER_40: And we stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters against the likes of Hassan Piker, who says nothing but good things about the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas.
- 1:56:58SPEAKER_40: It's a disgrace.
- 1:56:59SPEAKER_40: Mamdami, do us all a favor and just stay home.
- 1:57:02SPEAKER_06: Here is uh another individual who spoke out against Mam Dani attending any 9-11 ceremonies.
- 1:57:10SPEAKER_02: I'm not asking politely for the mayor not to come to 9-11 to that ceremony.
- 1:57:17SPEAKER_02: I am asking, I am demanding that he not show his face at that sacred ground.
- 1:57:24SPEAKER_02: He does not belong there.
- 1:57:26SPEAKER_02: When you associate yourself with the likes of Hassan Pika, and you have as your chief uh counselor right here in this building.
- 1:57:38SPEAKER_02: Rassem Qasim, who was handed a sacred pen yesterday, very cryptic, through our police commissioner so that it could go into his hands.
- 1:57:50SPEAKER_02: That was a message to each and every one of us.
- 1:57:53SPEAKER_02: Cryptic as it is, but read through the lines.
- 1:57:57SPEAKER_06: Yeah, if you haven't followed the controversy of the pen that Mom Donnie signed and then handed over that ended up in the he handed over to one staff member.
- 1:58:12SPEAKER_06: That staff member went and handed it to another individual who had direct ties to inflammatory commentary regarding what happened on 9-11.
- 1:58:23SPEAKER_06: I believe actually served as a defense attorney for individuals aligned with the hijacking of the planes on that day.
- 1:58:33SPEAKER_06: And I find it really interesting that Mom Dani signs this commemoration, right?
- 1:58:41SPEAKER_06: With this pen.
- 1:58:43SPEAKER_06: But the truth of the matter is it's so open-ended that basically you can take away from that whatever you want.
- 1:58:49SPEAKER_06: Meaning that Mam Dani, you know, isn't signing this document in order of remembrance when it comes to the lives that were lost and the heinous act, murderous act of the terrorists, the radical Islamic terrorists.
- 1:59:06SPEAKER_06: It's just a it's just a commemoration of the day.
- 1:59:10SPEAKER_06: When I heard it and I watched the press conference and I listened to his comments, in my mind I kept going, wow, it's really, really easy for him to simply say in his own mind that I'm not saying that it was a bad day.
- 1:59:24SPEAKER_06: I'm just signing this as a commemoration of remembering what happened on that day.
- 1:59:29SPEAKER_06: Basically, he left it open to where he can agree mentally if he wants to, with the acts of the terrorists on that day.
- 1:59:37SPEAKER_06: Because I believe that he's sympathetic to what they did.
- 1:59:40SPEAKER_06: And what he signed in New York City doesn't change any of that.
- 1:59:43SPEAKER_06: As a matter of fact, it is a way for to give justification to that thought.
- 1:59:47SPEAKER_06: I'm just commemorating what happened on that day.
- 1:59:50SPEAKER_06: You decide which way you want to go on it, whether you agree or disagree with the rationale of the murderers who ended up taking thousands upon thousands of innocent lives on that day.
- 2:00:34SPEAKER_06: Tomorrow on the show, we will have Max Reimer, a representative, sitting on the comfy sofa here at the Center of the American Experiment Studio Studios.
- 2:00:41SPEAKER_06: Also Catherine and Grace here from American Experiment.
- 2:00:44SPEAKER_06: Representative Tom Emmer will be checking in from the convention tomorrow at 8 o'clock.
- 2:00:49SPEAKER_06: And I have his speech to share with you.
- 2:00:51SPEAKER_06: I edit it down to a little bit over uh four minutes, but it was one of the highlights from last night, apart from President Donald Trump's uh speech and the controversy that's ensued when he dropped a bombshell on everybody, promising$5,000 dividend checks were Republicans to retain control of Congress, something that we've been talking about all morning long and taking your uh blaster line voice and text messages to 651-964-0294.
- 2:01:18SPEAKER_06: Uh, tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 2:01:21SPEAKER_06: We played a clip from Charlie Kirk uh talking um about the the dangers and the threats to the American way of life being um being threatened by radical um Islam and the individuals that want to continue to go and harm uh the West.
- 2:01:39SPEAKER_06: There's a clip from last night's RNC and uh Representative Brandon Gill that I want to share with you in just a moment here on the show.
- 2:01:47SPEAKER_06: First, let's go back to the blaster line this morning, 651-964-0294.
- 2:01:52SPEAKER_44: Hey John, just a quick comment about um Charlie Kirk and 9-11 and all that.
- 2:01:56SPEAKER_44: I used to live in New York City when it before I moved back to Minnesota and um you know the you're right about the uh the Christian and and you being attacked.
- 2:02:06SPEAKER_44: And I think Christians need to remember that their savior is a Jewish carpenter.
- 2:02:12SPEAKER_44: And for as much as we are Christian, we have a special bond to the Jewish culture and the Jewish history, and we need to stand behind our Jewish friends.
- 2:02:23SPEAKER_44: Have a good day.
- 2:02:24SPEAKER_06: Thank you so much for the comments.
- 2:02:26SPEAKER_06: 651-964-0294.
- 2:02:29SPEAKER_06: The email address is John.justice at AmericanExperiment.org from the Daily Wire.
- 2:02:35SPEAKER_06: Only two states out of 50 have mandated that schools teach the history of the horrific Islamic terrorist attacks.
- 2:02:44SPEAKER_06: That is a uh to say that's pathetic is an understatement.
- 2:02:48SPEAKER_06: While students in Florida and Arizona learn about the history surrounding the deadly attacks in New York City and the Pentagon, as well as the fourth attempt that was thwarted over Pennsylvania by passengers aboard the hijacked airplane.
- 2:02:59SPEAKER_06: Ten other states have laws simply to encourage doing nothing with my fingers, such lessons.
- 2:03:06SPEAKER_06: But as the New York Post reported, there's no specific direction regarding what form such a lesson must even take, meaning that it could be something as simple as a moment of silence or a brief assembly.
- 2:03:19SPEAKER_06: What appears to be filling the void could be more concerning than a simple lack of instruction on the topic, however, at least four states, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and Oregon, have recommended the revisionist curriculum, such as teaching beyond September 11th.
- 2:03:37SPEAKER_06: Developed by the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, the curriculum devotes far more time and focus to post-9-11 and the rise of Islamophobia than to the motivations behind the attacks in the first place.
- 2:03:54SPEAKER_06: I will never forget the conversations that took place shortly after the attacks, once we found out who was actually responsible for this, and we knew fairly quickly.
- 2:04:09SPEAKER_06: But the conversations that we were allowed to have at the time of radical Islam, radical Islamists, Islamists who are more moderate, that don't subscribe to the same views as the radicals, and also whether or not those more moderate doing that thing with my finger Islamists were actually not following their own religion, meaning that if they did follow to the letter that religion, they would be aligning more with the radical Islamists.
- 2:04:45SPEAKER_06: We had conversations about this on the show with David Garton-Stein Ross numerous times because he was a counterterrorism expert.
- 2:04:54SPEAKER_06: He is a counterterrorism expert, expert in the field that's testified before Congress, but has obviously moved on in his career to other uh to other issues.
- 2:05:02SPEAKER_06: And now we talk to him about artificial intelligence.
- 2:05:04SPEAKER_06: Huge, by the way, just as a quick, just just give me a quick little sidebar here.
- 2:05:09SPEAKER_06: There was some massive artificial intelligence news that dropped yesterday.
- 2:05:13SPEAKER_06: An individual who left to anthropic basically claiming that he's concerned about the future of artificial intelligence as it relates to the safety and security of mankind moving forward.
- 2:05:26SPEAKER_06: He ended up doing numerous interviews.
- 2:05:28SPEAKER_06: This was a bit of a bombshell that was put forward yesterday.
- 2:05:32SPEAKER_06: We will be talking about this a little bit on tomorrow's show, but absolutely next week when we speak to David Garttenstein or Aloss, we'll get into this issue.
- 2:05:39SPEAKER_06: Now, back to what I was mentioning a moment ago.
- 2:05:42SPEAKER_06: The problem that we're that we're faced with now is we're not allowed to have those conversations anymore.
- 2:05:47SPEAKER_06: We're not allowed to have the conversations like we did post-9-11 of the radical Islamists, what they want to do to the country, why they did this to the country, and those that adhere to that religion in the United States that may not agree with those views and the difference of the two.
- 2:06:04SPEAKER_06: We just we're not allowed to.
- 2:06:05SPEAKER_06: Instead, what we get is this garbage.
- 2:06:09SPEAKER_06: Because these are the conversations that should be happening in schools relating to teaching 9-11.
- 2:06:13SPEAKER_06: You should be teaching all aspects of it, just like we should be teaching all aspects of what actually happened on January 6th.
- 2:06:21SPEAKER_06: Every single element should be a part of the curriculum.
- 2:06:25SPEAKER_06: All the facts presented, students can go and reach their own conclusions based off of how their parents go and raise them.
- 2:06:32SPEAKER_06: But that's not what's happening.
- 2:06:34SPEAKER_06: So the new curriculum focusing on the post-9-11 rise of Islamophobia.
- 2:06:40SPEAKER_06: One passage from this curriculum reads this On the 11th of September 2001, 19 hijackers flew two planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York, one airplane into the Pentagon in Virginia, a fourth into a field in Pennsylvania.
- 2:06:54SPEAKER_06: A total of 2,996 people were killed, including the hijackers, one passage reads.
- 2:07:00SPEAKER_06: It does not delve into the radical Islamist beliefs driving the attackers, and its treatment of Al-Qaeda mastermind Osama bin Laden is, and its treatment of Osama bin Laden is non-committal at best.
- 2:07:13SPEAKER_06: With my fingers, the U.S.
- 2:07:15SPEAKER_06: accused Saudi national Osama bin Laden living in Afghanistan at the time of being the mastermind behind the attacks.
- 2:07:24SPEAKER_06: Because he was.
- 2:07:27SPEAKER_06: Lesson plans include topics like Islamophobia and the Oval Office, right-wing extremism, Islamophobia in global context, surveillance of Muslims, civil liberties after 9-11, and the Muslim and African ban.
- 2:07:42SPEAKER_06: One lesson singled out by the Post discussed a Danish cartoon depicting Muhammad, which sparked riots that resulted in more than 250 deaths tragically.
- 2:07:51SPEAKER_06: I'm only laughing because it's ridiculous.
- 2:07:53SPEAKER_06: And asked students to consider how the media response to the deadly riots had presented certain values as more important than the fact that cartoons were offensive and racist.
- 2:08:05SPEAKER_06: We are living at a time when that old adage of, if you don't teach history, you're doomed to repeat it.
- 2:08:13SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we're repeating it right now.
- 2:08:15SPEAKER_06: Tragically, never forget didn't work.
- 2:08:20SPEAKER_06: For those of us who adhere to never forget, we wouldn't never forget 9-11, right?
- 2:08:25SPEAKER_06: Tragically, our leftist education indoctrination intentionally omitted never forget, and we have an entire generation unaware of the proper contextual accuracy of the events of 9-11, which has led to what we've seen across the country of certain candidates that honestly never should have been voted into office, shouldn't even have made it past the primary.
- 2:08:49SPEAKER_06: They should have been laughed off as a joke, because that's what the Zobrahan Mam Donnie is.
- 2:08:54SPEAKER_06: A snake oil salesman, chameleon, anti-American joke, and I'm putting it lightly.
- 2:09:01SPEAKER_06: Representative Brandon Gill on the stage in Dallas at the Republican National Midterm Convention said this.
- 2:09:09SPEAKER_51: And now as we near the 25th anniversary of 9-11, Democrats are nominating Abdul Rahman Mohammed El-Sayed, an extremist who sympathized with terrorists and who campaigned with a man who says America deserved 9-11.
- 2:09:28SPEAKER_51: That's extreme and deplorable.
- 2:09:33SPEAKER_06: It is.
- 2:09:34SPEAKER_06: And he is spot on.
- 2:09:36SPEAKER_06: Love me some.
- 2:09:37SPEAKER_06: Brandon Gill.
- 2:09:41SPEAKER_06: Missouri officials, keeping our attention on the Republican National Midterm Convention.
- 2:09:49SPEAKER_06: I want to spike this in here.
- 2:09:50SPEAKER_06: Missouri officials plan to use GOP-friendly congressional maps for the midterms.
- 2:09:55SPEAKER_06: After a federal judge handed them a win in a heated election map fight with major ramifications for control of the House, the federal judge issued a temporary restraining order earlier this week against Missouri officials from using 2022 congressional maps for the midterm elections instead of the new Republican favorable map used during the 2026 primary.
- 2:10:20SPEAKER_06: The judge said that using the old map would disenfranchise primary voters who had already cast their ballots in the primary.
- 2:10:27SPEAKER_06: The decision is a significant win for Republicans who seek to maintain their majority in the House in the upcoming midterms.
- 2:10:33SPEAKER_06: The map Clark said the state must use was passed in 2025, is expected to yield a 7-to-1 house seat advantage for the GOP as opposed to the old 6-2 maps.
- 2:10:47SPEAKER_06: Now, Clark's decision sets up a conflict in the state Supreme Court, which sided last week with a leftist group that argued the new maps need to be approved via referendum.
- 2:10:56SPEAKER_06: The court said the state must use the old 2022 map because the new map was not approved via the referendum.
- 2:11:03SPEAKER_06: Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh declined on Tuesday to take up an appeal of the state Supreme Court's ruling from Missouri Attorney General Katherine Hanaway.
- 2:11:12SPEAKER_06: However, Missouri officials, including the governor and the secretary of state, said on Tuesday evening they plan to comply with Clark's decision.
- 2:11:21SPEAKER_06: So once again, another another court order, Supreme Court order, a ruling that we will uh wait to see, especially because it's going to be incredibly impactful when it comes to Missouri's race.
- 2:11:32SPEAKER_06: So an individual who is tasked with getting out the vote for the House, Majority Whip Tom Emmer last night spoke on stage at the Republican National Midterm Convention.
- 2:11:44SPEAKER_06: And uh from those in the audience, and from what I've seen in terms of commentary, was a highlight.
- 2:11:50SPEAKER_06: I tend to agree.
- 2:11:52SPEAKER_06: Here is Representative Tom Emmer's speech from last night.
- 2:11:54SPEAKER_06: I shortened it up.
- 2:11:55SPEAKER_06: I took out some of the applause because there was a lot of applause that was taking place to shorten this.
- 2:12:00SPEAKER_06: Up for you, but here is a Representative Tom Emmer's speech from last night on the stage in Dallas.
- 2:12:04SPEAKER_37: Welcome.
- 2:12:06SPEAKER_37: What a great start to this amazing convention.
- 2:12:12SPEAKER_37: Let's do it for the man with the vision to hold this event.
- 2:12:16SPEAKER_37: Our commander-in-chief, our leader, President Donald Jimmy Trump.
- 2:12:23SPEAKER_37: I did my job.
- 2:12:24SPEAKER_37: I do the tip talk.
- 2:12:26SPEAKER_37: We're just 55 days from election day.
- 2:12:29SPEAKER_37: So let's get right down to business.
- 2:12:32SPEAKER_37: As you've heard, this is an election between common sense and communism.
- 2:12:39SPEAKER_37: Between America-loving patriots and hate America extremists.
- 2:12:47SPEAKER_37: Between freedom and tyranny.
- 2:12:51SPEAKER_37: The Communist Party, excuse me, the Democrats have no leader and they have no message.
- 2:13:01SPEAKER_37: The only thing they can agree on is their disgusting hatred of America and our great president.
- 2:13:10SPEAKER_37: These people are sick.
- 2:13:12SPEAKER_37: Have you followed what these radicals want?
- 2:13:15SPEAKER_37: They want to defund the police.
- 2:13:17SPEAKER_37: They want to open the borders to fanolic criminals.
- 2:13:20SPEAKER_37: They want to abolish the Senate.
- 2:13:23SPEAKER_37: Well, all right.
- 2:13:26SPEAKER_37: And they want to raise your taxes for free health care for illegal.
- 2:13:32SPEAKER_37: By the way, these people in the left-wing corrupt media want us to call them democratic socialists.
- 2:13:44SPEAKER_37: It's another lie.
- 2:13:46SPEAKER_37: Do not let them do it.
- 2:13:48SPEAKER_37: There is absolutely nothing democratic about socialism.
- 2:13:55SPEAKER_37: By the way, these people aren't even socialists.
- 2:13:59SPEAKER_37: They're communists and they're anarchists and they hate our country.
- 2:14:05SPEAKER_37: In November, we have a clear choice.
- 2:14:08SPEAKER_37: You can choose the 12 by 12 dilapidated government-owned housing and the crumbs of food that Mammi the Kami is offering.
- 2:14:19SPEAKER_37: You can choose to go with America haters like Ilhan Omar.
- 2:14:34SPEAKER_37: You can even choose to listen to Abdul Al-Saiad who wants to get rid of fireworks on the 4th of July and replace the Second Amendment.
- 2:14:45SPEAKER_37: I know, I know it sounds crazy, but even that Cartoon Network CNN reported it.
- 2:14:54SPEAKER_37: By the way, this evil man peddles around with people who believe Americans deserve to be attacked on 9-11.
- 2:15:08SPEAKER_37: Think about that for a second.
- 2:15:09SPEAKER_37: In other words, El Sinad's closest friend believes nearly 3,000 Americans deserve to die on that fateful day 25 years ago.
- 2:15:25SPEAKER_37: Someone might want to remind these guys.
- 2:15:28SPEAKER_37: If you don't love this country, if you don't love America, if you're not happy.
- 2:15:45SPEAKER_37: I say all you want out of life is what little these communists are offering.
- 2:15:52SPEAKER_37: Yes, that's your right.
- 2:16:02SPEAKER_37: To achieve your greatest potential full free in the greatest country the world has ever.
- 2:16:14SPEAKER_37: By working hard, doing rules, protecting hard, by protecting our freedoms.
- 2:16:20SPEAKER_37: You can leave your American dream Democratic meaning like that.
- 2:16:52SPEAKER_37: We are calling freedom for three hundred forty million three American Americans.
- 2:16:59SPEAKER_37: We are calling foundations of the individual liberty, economic freedom and hardware skills.
- 2:17:18SPEAKER_37: And God bless the United States of America.
- 2:17:24SPEAKER_06: And again, Representative uh Tom Emmer uh last night uh on uh stage at the Republican uh national midterm uh convention, and he'll be joining us tomorrow on the show in the uh eight o'clock hour.
- 2:17:37SPEAKER_06: And hopefully we'll hear from uh AK Kamara uh tomorrow on the show.
- 2:17:41SPEAKER_06: He'll be checking in via the blaster line and in studio.
- 2:17:44SPEAKER_06: Catherine and Grace from Center of the American Experiment and also Representative uh Max Reimer will be uh joining us.
- 2:17:51SPEAKER_06: Coming up at the bottom of the hour on the comfy sofa here at the American Experiment Studios, uh, we'll be joined by GOP nominee for state auditor.
- 2:18:02SPEAKER_06: Scott Jensen, looking forward to talking with uh with Scott.
- 2:18:05SPEAKER_06: Uh let's go here.
- 2:18:06SPEAKER_06: I do have some local news that I want to share with you ahead of uh Scott Jensen uh joining us.
- 2:18:10SPEAKER_06: I do have more audio to share from the RNC last night.
- 2:18:13SPEAKER_06: Uh and this seems appropriate.
- 2:18:15SPEAKER_06: And I have a clip for another clip from uh Brandon Gill that we'll share with here in uh in just a moment.
- 2:18:21SPEAKER_06: Uh this story here, though, from Alpha News a Minnesota elementary school principal who once told a resident to take uh his bigoted BS, although he used the bull S word, off Facebook.
- 2:18:36SPEAKER_06: Why?
- 2:18:36SPEAKER_06: Because a man expressed traditional views about sex and gender.
- 2:18:40SPEAKER_06: Uh this uh military elementary school uh principal uh is now asking White Bear Lake voters to put him on their school board.
- 2:18:50SPEAKER_06: Ryan Vernosh, the current principal at Brim Hall Elementary School in Roseville, who is called teaching for social justice a professional passion, is running for one of four at-large seats on the White Bear Lake area school board.
- 2:19:10SPEAKER_06: For some voters, Vernosh's name might sound familiar.
- 2:19:13SPEAKER_06: Alpha News reported back in 2021 that Vernosh became embroiled in controversies shortly after he was hired as a principal at Brim Hall when he clashed publicly on Facebook with a Roseville, uh Roseville resident, Alan Holisek, who disagreed with a post encouraging children to use transgender pronouns.
- 2:19:34SPEAKER_06: During the exchange, Vernosh called Holisek's views disparaging and bigoted.
- 2:19:40SPEAKER_06: When Holisek wrote that only two genders exist, Vernosh responded that he could not be more factually wrong.
- 2:19:50SPEAKER_06: Even James Tallerico is walking this stuff back then.
- 2:19:58SPEAKER_03: Do you still believe that?
- 2:19:59SPEAKER_03: Standing here with me right now.
- 2:20:01SPEAKER_07: No.
- 2:20:01SPEAKER_07: Uh I've missed Mark on some of my past statements.
- 2:20:04SPEAKER_07: I will be the first to admit it.
- 2:20:05SPEAKER_07: What I meant is that there are two sexes, and then there's a small percentage of people with genetic abnormalities.
- 2:20:11SPEAKER_07: I obviously didn't say it correctly.
- 2:20:13SPEAKER_07: There are not six sexes, there are two.
- 2:20:15SPEAKER_06: Um and and I'm So I wonder if Vernosh now is going to go and uh and change uh his tune on this.
- 2:20:21SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna guess, probably, probably not.
- 2:20:26SPEAKER_06: When Rolasec wrote, again, there only two genders exist, you had Ryan Vernosh saying he couldn't be more factually wrong.
- 2:20:33SPEAKER_06: Vernosh then wrote, Sex isn't even binary.
- 2:20:37SPEAKER_06: This is an elementary school principal.
- 2:20:43SPEAKER_06: I just can't make this stuff up.
- 2:20:45SPEAKER_06: The exchange escalated even further.
- 2:20:47SPEAKER_06: I'm going to post a few things for you to review and learn, Vernosh told Holisk.
- 2:20:53SPEAKER_06: If you cannot bring yourself to do that, I would kindly ask you to take your bigoted BS.
- 2:20:58SPEAKER_06: Again, he used the whole word on Facebook, off my timeline.
- 2:21:04SPEAKER_06: Leading by example, the elementary school principal clearly is, right?
- 2:21:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 2:21:11SPEAKER_06: Holisek later addressed the Roseville School Board and called for Vernosh's removal.
- 2:21:16SPEAKER_06: The district at the time said that the matter had been referred to human resources and that the appropriate steps were taken, but declined to provide any details because they involved personal matters.
- 2:21:25SPEAKER_06: Now, five years after Vernosh publicly weighed in on sex and gender as an educator, he is seeking a seat on the school board where he could help shape the future policies and decisions addressing these very issues.
- 2:21:38SPEAKER_06: White Bear Lake Area Schools already have guidelines governing transgender and gender-expansive students, covering everything from bathrooms and locker rooms to pronouns, school records, athletics, and parental notifications.
- 2:21:49SPEAKER_06: The current guidelines do, however, explicitly protect parents' access to information about their minor children.
- 2:21:56SPEAKER_06: Staff may not refuse to tell parents if their child has requested a different name or pronouns or asked to use restrooms or locker rooms based on gender identity.
- 2:22:07SPEAKER_06: Now, Ryan Vernosh has his own party on his side.
- 2:22:13SPEAKER_06: Right?
- 2:22:14SPEAKER_06: So this was five years ago when this took place, this exchange.
- 2:22:17SPEAKER_06: Democrats rarely ever believe anything that they say they stand for.
- 2:22:20SPEAKER_06: They're just going with which with whatever way the political winds are shifting.
- 2:22:24SPEAKER_06: It's why why you hear James Tallerico now changing his tune as they get closer and closer to the election, going back on what he said before.
- 2:22:33SPEAKER_06: Because he probably didn't even really believe that much before.
- 2:22:35SPEAKER_06: Or maybe he just doesn't care and he's lying now.
- 2:22:37SPEAKER_06: Either way, if you're on the left, you can be as irrational and hypocritical as you want to be, as long as it perpetuates the narrative, the ideology, and secures more votes for power to retain that power and to grow that power.
- 2:22:52SPEAKER_06: And unfortunately, too many individuals on the left do not care.
- 2:22:55SPEAKER_06: Like the term flip-flop doesn't even exist anymore when we talk about politics because Democrats have made it a sport to flip-flop.
- 2:23:06SPEAKER_06: Because all they care about is what I just mentioned.
- 2:23:08SPEAKER_06: They just care about power.
- 2:23:09SPEAKER_06: That's it, in any way that they can possibly get it.
- 2:23:12SPEAKER_06: So I imagine that if Ryan Vernosh is asked about this now, he'll probably end up sounding more and more like James Taller Rico, walking back previous statements that got him into trouble.
- 2:23:21SPEAKER_06: Be that as it may, he never should have been an elementary school principal, considering the fact that he can't control his emotions in a Facebook debate for crying out loud.
- 2:23:31SPEAKER_06: Representative Brandon Gill last night talking about the transparent disdain for this country that so many running for office and those that vote for those individuals have.
- 2:23:46SPEAKER_51: How can people who have such a transparent disdain for this country be trusted to govern it?
- 2:23:54SPEAKER_51: We saw what they did the last time they were in power.
- 2:23:58SPEAKER_51: We watched on Easter Sunday in 2024, the most holy day of the year for Christians, as Democrats turned the White House lawn into a celebration not of Christ's resurrection, but of transgender day of visibility.
- 2:24:17SPEAKER_51: We saw images every single day as millions of illegal aliens poured across our border, transforming American communities, taking American jobs, suppressing American wages, spiking American housing costs, overrunning American hospitals and schools, and bringing drugs and crime into American neighborhoods.
- 2:24:54SPEAKER_06: Again, Representative Brandon Gill uh last night speaking at the Republican National Midterm Convention.
- 2:25:01SPEAKER_06: I had some comments that rolled in um regarding Representative Tom Emmer, what I mentioned a moment ago when it comes to the lack of education over what actually happened on 9-11.
- 2:25:12SPEAKER_06: Let's get to a few of these here on the John Justice Show presented by American Experiment.
- 2:25:16SPEAKER_06: We'll start here.
- 2:25:17SPEAKER_22: Yeah, that's a recipe for disaster.
- 2:25:19SPEAKER_22: We're teaching the rise of Islamophobia in our schools.
- 2:25:23SPEAKER_29: Meanwhile, in the Islam schools and the Muslim schools are teaching the rise of the Islamic system and how to take over Hawaii.
- 2:25:30SPEAKER_29: Have a great day.
- 2:25:32SPEAKER_06: All right, let's go to uh this clip here from the blaster line, 651-964-0294.
- 2:25:43SPEAKER_13: If the government is receiving dividends, it means that they're making money on the money they're receiving.
- 2:25:49SPEAKER_13: We know they get that money through taxation of the citizens, taxation of non-U.S.
- 2:25:55SPEAKER_13: corporations that want access to our economy, or they're giving it to a congressional act that forces or pushes the federal reserve to money that doesn't otherwise exist, which contributes to our inflation.
- 2:26:11SPEAKER_13: So or is the number one cause of our inflation.
- 2:26:15SPEAKER_13: And so the concept of offering a dividend, knowing all of that stuff, is foolish.
- 2:26:21SPEAKER_13: It should not it should be nothing that we would consider.
- 2:26:25SPEAKER_06: No, let me let me I'm gonna stop you here.
- 2:26:27SPEAKER_06: I disagree.
- 2:26:29SPEAKER_06: I may end up agreeing once we get all of the details uh regarding what these uh five thousand dollar dividend checks will entail.
- 2:26:40SPEAKER_06: Because so far, this is all we know about what Trump announced.
- 2:26:54SPEAKER_41: And here is my promise.
- 2:26:56SPEAKER_41: If the Republicans win the House of Representatives and the United States Senate, both of them, because of our economic tremendous economic success, like in in history we've never had anything like what's happening, but because of our tremendous strength and success economically, I will issue a dividend to every adult citizen in the United States of America for$5,000.
- 2:27:27SPEAKER_41: Very much like a successful company will do a cash distribution to its shareholders, or like last year when I gave our great members of the military 1,776.
- 2:27:43SPEAKER_41: Remember?
- 2:27:45SPEAKER_06: Again, uh Trump from uh last night, until we know what the details are, you know, I'm not gonna draw condemnation and I'm also not gonna praise it.
- 2:27:57SPEAKER_06: I think that there is, I believe that there is an absolute difference between money that's given and the mentality attached to it depending on where it's coming from.
- 2:28:08SPEAKER_06: You know, COVID was one thing, this is something completely different, and if this is framed because it happened to be for the sake of argument, let's say money that was brought in via tariffs, and there are stipulations regarding income from who can receive it and who can't receive it.
- 2:28:24SPEAKER_06: There's a different mentality attached to the individuals that receive that money that goes along with how it's spent that could have an impact on inflation.
- 2:28:32SPEAKER_06: These are all questions we can't answer yet because we don't know what the funding mechanism is.
- 2:28:37SPEAKER_06: The real quick and easy way to say it is I'm not throwing the uh baby out with the bathwater at this point in time.
- 2:28:43SPEAKER_11: Hey John, good morning.
- 2:28:44SPEAKER_11: Barry and Andover.
- 2:28:45SPEAKER_11: Listening uh to the show earlier, and and there is a pessimist about the Republican Party and this and that.
- 2:28:54SPEAKER_11: It's not corn, it's random guilt and the like.
- 2:28:58SPEAKER_11: And I'm glad we've gotten rid of these old kind of stories.
- 2:29:01SPEAKER_11: I'm glad the lunatics like Marjorie Hammer Green are out of the party, and Thomas Matthew.
- 2:29:07SPEAKER_11: I'm glad these people are gone.
- 2:29:09SPEAKER_11: We're going to come out stronger.
- 2:29:11SPEAKER_11: And the pessimists out there saying things will never change.
- 2:29:14SPEAKER_11: You're no better than a foon or a corn in.
- 2:29:18SPEAKER_11: Just get out of the way and let people who don't quit keep accomplishing.
- 2:29:23SPEAKER_06: Thank you as always, uh, Barry.
- 2:29:24SPEAKER_06: It's great to hear from you.
- 2:29:26SPEAKER_06: Uh, friend, uh, friend of the show, and I appreciate the blast to 651-964-0294.
- 2:29:32SPEAKER_06: As our guest, uh Scott Jensen, gets himself settled.
- 2:29:35SPEAKER_06: One more clip uh for now from last night's Republican National Uh Midterm Convention.
- 2:29:40SPEAKER_06: That's how I'm labeling it right now.
- 2:29:42SPEAKER_06: I have a hard time saying RNC Convention because you just equate that with a presidential year, and this was a midterm one.
- 2:29:48SPEAKER_06: Uh Adam Corolla spoke last night.
- 2:29:50SPEAKER_06: I didn't know he was going to be a part of the uh program.
- 2:29:52SPEAKER_06: But Adam Corolla uh kicked off his address at the Republican Midterm Convention last night.
- 2:29:58SPEAKER_06: Uh I'll just play the clip.
- 2:29:59SPEAKER_05: All right, I'd like to start tonight with a land acknowledgement.
- 2:30:05SPEAKER_05: This is the greatest land in the history of mankind.
- 2:30:10SPEAKER_05: And if that bothers you, you, your communist and hippie buddies should get the hell off it.
- 2:30:20SPEAKER_06: Adam Carola last night during the Republican uh national midterm election.
- 2:30:25SPEAKER_06: And again, we'll hear from A.K.
- 2:30:27SPEAKER_06: Kamara, who's on the ground at the event, and Representative Tom Emmer tomorrow on a Freedom Friday when um Representative Max Reimer joins us on the comfy uh sofas of the Center of the American Experiment Studios, and Grace and Catherine joined us as well.
- 2:30:39SPEAKER_06: Speaking of those comfy sofas, I am very pleased to welcome uh to the show Minnesota State uh auditor uh candidate Scott Jensen.
- 2:30:47SPEAKER_06: Good morning, Scott.
- 2:30:48SPEAKER_06: Good to see you this morning.
- 2:30:49SPEAKER_39: Thank you much.
- 2:30:49SPEAKER_39: Good morning to you.
- 2:30:50SPEAKER_06: Um how has the campaign been uh going since the primary?
- 2:30:56SPEAKER_06: Let's just start there.
- 2:30:57SPEAKER_39: It's been going excellent.
- 2:30:58SPEAKER_39: I've been gratified by the outpouring of support.
- 2:31:01SPEAKER_39: Uh we're kicking it into high gear on fundraising.
- 2:31:04SPEAKER_39: Uh trying to meet a lot with people that maybe don't normally hear Republican state auditor candidates.
- 2:31:11SPEAKER_39: Specifically, we're trying to do more town hall kinds of meetings, QA sessions, neighborhood get-togethers, chamber of commerce meetings, things like that.
- 2:31:20SPEAKER_39: Because so many Republicans already are pretty dialed in and have a pretty good idea of what the state auditor does.
- 2:31:26SPEAKER_39: Uh but I tell people at the end of the day, the state auditor is responsible for lawful, efficient, transparent use of taxpayer dollars.
- 2:31:35SPEAKER_39: And if they're not doing that, something's gone wrong.
- 2:31:38SPEAKER_39: And people have asked me, John, what's the biggest mistake I think has gone wrong over the last 20 years with the state auditor's office?
- 2:31:45SPEAKER_39: And I think the biggest problem is we've had unchecked power for decades.
- 2:31:51SPEAKER_39: And that has translated into people thinking that they work for the governor when they're the state auditor.
- 2:31:57SPEAKER_39: People need to understand the legislature has its own legislative auditor, and the governor has this his or her commissioner of MMB, but the people are supposed to have a voice, and that voice hasn't been there for them.
- 2:32:08SPEAKER_39: That's why I'm running.
- 2:32:10SPEAKER_06: Uh, I have had some questions that have uh rolled into the blaster line this morning.
- 2:32:14SPEAKER_06: You can text or leave an audio message at 651-964-0294.
- 2:32:20SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna start with these two here.
- 2:32:22SPEAKER_06: And um, Scott, these are questions that you and I have uh already addressed on the show before, but it's been a little bit of time since we've had you on, so we'll go ahead and just address them uh uh again.
- 2:32:31SPEAKER_06: There's some quotes here.
- 2:32:32SPEAKER_06: Uh it says, uh, you said yourself on Almanac back on August 14th, uh, that at your age you're not looking for a new career path.
- 2:32:39SPEAKER_06: So why did you run for governor?
- 2:32:41SPEAKER_06: And why are you now running for uh state uh state auditor?
- 2:32:44SPEAKER_06: And again, these are questions that you and I have have uh gone back and forth on already, but I'll give you the opportunity to uh to address the listener.
- 2:32:50SPEAKER_39: It'd probably be Luke 12, 48, to whom much is given, much is expected.
- 2:32:54SPEAKER_39: I've been given a lot.
- 2:32:55SPEAKER_39: I've had a wonderful life during that course of lifetime.
- 2:32:58SPEAKER_39: I've had a chance to learn and grow.
- 2:33:00SPEAKER_39: I understand the world of health and human services, that's critical for the state auditor's race.
- 2:33:05SPEAKER_39: I've had a lot of involvement with financials, uh, serving as a chairperson of an audit committee for a billion-dollar bank, serving as the chair of a board of directors for an accounting firm, and I've started businesses and things like that.
- 2:33:19SPEAKER_39: So I think it's a natural culmination.
- 2:33:21SPEAKER_39: Um, I want to serve, I think I can help, and I think there is a difference between someone who's motivated to serve and get something done than someone who wants to get on a track where they can translate it into furthering their political career.
- 2:33:36SPEAKER_39: So it comes down to public service, and I think that uh I can do something that others can't do because quite frankly, the state auditor's role is not a technical fix, it's about a leadership position that has to do with being able to answer or ask the right questions.
- 2:33:53SPEAKER_39: And if you even look at what's going on right now with the fraud regarding medical assistance, if you look at what happened.
- 2:34:00SPEAKER_39: To you care, as they went bankrupt, essentially.
- 2:34:03SPEAKER_39: You need to understand how this happens.
- 2:34:06SPEAKER_39: And the medical system, the healthcare system is complicated.
- 2:34:09SPEAKER_39: So just because someone has certain initials after their name doesn't mean that they necessarily get it.
- 2:34:15SPEAKER_39: And it's also interesting that for 50 years, Minnesota has never had an accountant as the state auditor.
- 2:34:22SPEAKER_39: And that's because Minnesota generally elects leaders.
- 2:34:26SPEAKER_06: On the issue of uh sort of transparency on the show, I have another question for you.
- 2:34:30SPEAKER_06: This is coming in from Jay Reeves, just so you're uh you're aware.
- 2:34:33SPEAKER_06: And the other question they asked was uh without bringing up the last 20 years of Democrats in that office, why should uh the state auditor be a Republican if they're supposed to be uh independent?
- 2:34:44SPEAKER_39: I think that arguably uh this role as state auditor should be one of the most neutral constitutional offices we have in Minnesota.
- 2:34:56SPEAKER_39: So I agree with Jay.
- 2:34:57SPEAKER_39: I think that this is important that we be independent-minded, we be skeptical.
- 2:35:02SPEAKER_39: And I think that's why a lot of people pushed me forward, is they felt that during COVID I was truly an independent voice.
- 2:35:09SPEAKER_39: And I think that there are problems within the Republican Party, to be sure.
- 2:35:15SPEAKER_39: And there are problems in the Democratic Party.
- 2:35:17SPEAKER_39: Now, Jay chose in 2024 to run for the DFL endorsement to go against Tom Emmer.
- 2:35:24SPEAKER_39: And so Jay, arguably, I'm running against two people that have vied for Democratic endorsements.
- 2:35:31SPEAKER_39: And I I think that uh Jay has uh a substantial advantage over um uh uh Zach Filipovich because I think Jay has more life experiences.
- 2:35:42SPEAKER_39: And so I I commend Jay and I tried to make certain that he was able to participate fully in the debates that we've had up to this point.
- 2:35:50SPEAKER_39: But I think it's important for people to realize that I am running against two people that have been fairly closely affiliated with the DFL party at one time in their life.
- 2:35:58SPEAKER_06: Uh before we get back to the issue of uh state auditor, uh, and I have a couple of stories here that I want to run through from today's news that I think fall into the category of uh, you know, something that would be the responsibility of the state auditor to go and look into.
- 2:36:12SPEAKER_06: Um I'm gonna deviate for just a moment, if you don't mind, since we have you in uh in in in studio.
- 2:36:16SPEAKER_06: You know, you mentioned COVID a moment ago, and um I've been r thinking about COVID quite a bit as of late, especially in light of tomorrow being the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 2:36:27SPEAKER_06: Um, we talk so much about, you know, and the auditor's race plays into this because we're talking about modern day politics and elections.
- 2:36:34SPEAKER_06: Um, we seem to be, Stuck's not the right word, but we seem to be focused on the impact that COVID has had on the country, which is relevant.
- 2:36:43SPEAKER_06: But as we head towards this 25th anniversary of 9-11, I'm suddenly realizing that it really is those two events coupled together.
- 2:36:50SPEAKER_06: I think things started in terms of the change that took place here in the country because of 9-11 and the uh the response to that.
- 2:37:01SPEAKER_06: And because of that, we kind of got set on this path in the country down a certain way.
- 2:37:05SPEAKER_06: Then when COVID hit, it really exacerbated a lot of the problems that were stemming from the way that we responded and how divisive politics got um from uh from 9-11.
- 2:37:15SPEAKER_06: And, you know, I was just uh curious your thoughts.
- 2:37:17SPEAKER_06: I asked uh Tom Tiffany when we had him on earlier this morning running for Wisconsin, uh, for Wisconsin governor, you know, his thoughts on the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 2:37:26SPEAKER_06: And I certainly would be curious to get uh to get yours uh as well.
- 2:37:30SPEAKER_06: When we talk about it tomorrow on the show, it's gonna be interesting because we have individuals on Freedom Friday who were incredibly young, you know, and probably didn't even understand what happened on that day, where individuals like you and I, I mean, we lived and were in the middle of it when it when it took place.
- 2:37:45SPEAKER_06: So uh Scott Jensen, just uh your thoughts as we uh as we head into the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
- 2:37:51SPEAKER_39: So much of our lives are shaped by relationships.
- 2:37:55SPEAKER_39: And I think if you look at what is an abusive relationship, it's one generally involving fear at every corner.
- 2:38:02SPEAKER_39: I think with 9-11, there was a fear factor that was introduced into America's everyday way of life.
- 2:38:10SPEAKER_39: Typically, we've been a strong, independent-minded nation focused on self-reliance.
- 2:38:16SPEAKER_39: I think with the 9-11 tragedy, Americans felt a fear, a vulnerability that maybe they hadn't before.
- 2:38:29SPEAKER_39: Fast forward 20 years, you had COVID come in.
- 2:38:35SPEAKER_39: That pandemic of COVID, the vulnerability and the fear was used by people in power to cripple and paralyze our thinking.
- 2:38:46SPEAKER_39: I think that the difference between 9-11 and COVID was 9-11 was an external action against us.
- 2:38:55SPEAKER_39: COVID was almost an internal reaction on our part to vulnerability and fear.
- 2:39:01SPEAKER_39: And that's what makes it so difficult to talk about today, because people are uncomfortable having to replay in their mind what we did as a nation.
- 2:39:12SPEAKER_39: We scoffed nationwide at a biologic concept that is centuries old in natural immunity.
- 2:39:20SPEAKER_39: We said that we would let daycare providers hold down one or two year olds and try to force masks on them, even though the masks had pore sizes 50 times the size of the viral particle involved.
- 2:39:34SPEAKER_39: We did things that when we look back, they're not just embarrassing, they feel like transgressions against the very documents that created our nation, our declaration of independence, our constitution.
- 2:39:48SPEAKER_39: So I think that's the challenge.
- 2:39:51SPEAKER_39: So for me, having been so outspoken during COVID, people know that I'm a fighter.
- 2:39:57SPEAKER_39: I think that people are upset with me at times because I was so skeptical of that narrative we were supposed to swallow.
- 2:40:04SPEAKER_39: But in the end, the issues have quite frankly aged well for me because I wasn't wrong.
- 2:40:11SPEAKER_18: Yeah.
- 2:40:12SPEAKER_39: And I think that we now know that locking kids out of school and locking businesses down and using masks didn't stop or accomplish what we were told it would do.
- 2:40:23SPEAKER_06: I'm really glad that you made that comment because you actually touched upon something that I didn't even realize about myself personally.
- 2:40:33SPEAKER_06: When 9-11 hit, I was working at an alternative rock station in uh Riverside San Bernardino, and I've told the story on the air, I actually did earlier this week, uh, that we didn't have any visuals at the time working at the rock station.
- 2:40:46SPEAKER_06: Uh, we had there was one TV that was using banana ears in the break room.
- 2:40:50SPEAKER_06: I didn't, it wasn't until I got off the air and actually went home that day to Melinda in our tiny apartment in Corona, California, that I even saw any of the footage.
- 2:40:57SPEAKER_06: So when the news broke of the first plane hitting the Twin Towers, it didn't even register that we could be under attack.
- 2:41:04SPEAKER_06: I thought flight paths were screwed up or it was just a stray Cessna, right?
- 2:41:09SPEAKER_06: We didn't have the, we didn't have the the details.
- 2:41:12SPEAKER_06: And even when the second plane hit, I remember that's when I made the comment on the air to the guy I was hosting the show with, who was a few years older than I was, less naive, clearly.
- 2:41:21SPEAKER_06: Uh, and I said, Wow, wow.
- 2:41:22SPEAKER_06: I said, Are the flight patterns you know off?
- 2:41:25SPEAKER_06: Why are planes hitting the Twin Towers?
- 2:41:26SPEAKER_06: Because it didn't even register to me at the time that we could be under attack.
- 2:41:31SPEAKER_06: And he's like, No, I I think we are under attack.
- 2:41:35SPEAKER_06: When you touch upon that fear, um, you know, me being in my, you know in my 27, 28 at the time, uh, you're right.
- 2:41:45SPEAKER_06: Like it opened up this facet in my mind of a of an aspect and a fear that I didn't even ponder up until that point.
- 2:41:52SPEAKER_06: And you make a really good point because when COVID came around, subconsciously, a lot of that came flooding back in again to the point, and I've also admitted this on the show, that, you know, I naively accepted this, you know, two weeks to, you know, to, to, to slow the spread, and it'll be fine.
- 2:42:08SPEAKER_06: The government won't go beyond that.
- 2:42:09SPEAKER_06: We'll deal with this.
- 2:42:10SPEAKER_06: We were deemed at the time to be essential services, and we know what transpired.
- 2:42:15SPEAKER_06: You just mentioned it.
- 2:42:16SPEAKER_06: And I know in hindsight how wrong I was at the time.
- 2:42:19SPEAKER_06: And I won't make that mistake again, um, in terms of having a level of trust that our government won't try to go and exploit a pandemic like that.
- 2:42:26SPEAKER_06: But you did, you touched upon something really interesting, and you're right.
- 2:42:29SPEAKER_06: I think that correlation between the fear that was unlocked on 9-11 really ended up having an impact on a lot of people, myself included, when COVID ended up rolling, uh rolling around.
- 2:42:39SPEAKER_06: And I remember commentary from individuals like yourself and friends of the show who I watched come up through politics and talk radio, like Jesse Kelly, who were just all very much, and I won't speak for you, Scott Jensen, but Jesse Kelly was like, no, no, no, no, no, this is not the way to go and handle this.
- 2:42:55SPEAKER_06: And I was even pushing back on him a bit.
- 2:42:57SPEAKER_06: And I was wrong at the time to go and to go and do that.
- 2:43:01SPEAKER_39: I think vulnerability drives some of those turning points in our lives.
- 2:43:05SPEAKER_39: I think that with the Vietnam War, which was a big part of my life when I was growing up, the vulnerability was that America couldn't necessarily accomplish what it said it would militarily.
- 2:43:17SPEAKER_39: That was a new chapter in my the generations uh surrounding me.
- 2:43:22SPEAKER_39: Then we had 9-11, the vulnerability.
- 2:43:25SPEAKER_39: We needed to lean into government.
- 2:43:26SPEAKER_39: Well, government would go after Osama bin Laden.
- 2:43:29SPEAKER_39: And then with the COVID, again, that vulnerability, government will take care of things.
- 2:43:35SPEAKER_39: And we found out horrifically that government didn't take care of it.
- 2:43:39SPEAKER_39: They lied to us.
- 2:43:40SPEAKER_39: And for the most part, there were people that were in power willing to lie because people like to be powerful.
- 2:43:47SPEAKER_39: They like to be relevant.
- 2:43:48SPEAKER_39: And I think you can even take it one step further, and you can say that part of the reason Minnesota is struggling so mightily with fraud is because it points out a vulnerability.
- 2:43:59SPEAKER_39: It shows us that our elected public servants aren't necessarily doing the job, that instead of calling for competent performance on the part of people working for government, oftentimes they were willing to allow a chaos.
- 2:44:14SPEAKER_39: They were willing to allow a set of actions that would seem unconscionable in order to hold on to a voting block per se.
- 2:44:21SPEAKER_39: These kinds of things have, again, shaken our confidence to the core.
- 2:44:26SPEAKER_39: I think the answer is we have to try to get back to a certain self-reliance.
- 2:44:31SPEAKER_39: And again, the state auditor's race to me is all about don't think that we can go out and interview candidates for the job and find the perfect applicant.
- 2:44:44SPEAKER_39: There is no perfect resume.
- 2:44:47SPEAKER_39: This is a leadership position.
- 2:44:49SPEAKER_39: Someone has to be willing to fight, they have to be willing to make mistakes.
- 2:44:53SPEAKER_39: But arguably the most important thing the state auditor can do is function as neutrally as possible, as nonpartisan as possible, and build a team of experts in their own right, experts in the fields of teaching and engineering and healthcare and human service provision and administration and business and bring those experts to the table so that someone truly digs in and says, okay, we have got to spot this fraud in real time.
- 2:45:22SPEAKER_39: We can't wait for a$3 million line item to turn into a$103 million line item after a year.
- 2:45:29SPEAKER_39: We've got to step in and see it in real time, every week, every month, so that if it goes from$3 million to$5 million, we're picking up on it.
- 2:45:38SPEAKER_39: It's called a variance.
- 2:45:39SPEAKER_39: That's what we need to do.
- 2:45:40SPEAKER_39: And the same thing happened with UCare.
- 2:45:43SPEAKER_39: If people would remember, COVID shut people down.
- 2:45:47SPEAKER_39: So UCARE was collecting capitated payments every month for every person insured by them.
- 2:45:53SPEAKER_39: And these people weren't using services because they were staying home.
- 2:45:57SPEAKER_39: Once COVID started to pass, people came out and droves, getting their colonoscopies, getting their mammograms, getting their physicals, seeing their doctor.
- 2:46:06SPEAKER_39: That drove costs up.
- 2:46:08SPEAKER_39: And if you look at UCARE's performance, they had huge profits in those early COVID years.
- 2:46:12SPEAKER_39: And then as soon as the doors opened back up, they had huge deficits and they ended up going bankrupt.
- 2:46:18SPEAKER_06: We're talking with the uh Minnesota State uh auditor candidate Scott Jensen, sitting on the comfy sofa here at the Center of the American Experiment studio.
- 2:46:26SPEAKER_06: To that point, there's a story here uh this morning out of Fox Nine.
- 2:46:29SPEAKER_06: UCARE, Minnesota's largest Medicaid insurer, this is today, allegedly approved fraudulent billing practices for years.
- 2:46:37SPEAKER_06: Despite being aware of the fraud, the insurer, which collected nearly$1,000 per month per enrolled member, is now under scrutiny for its role in the pit stop 66 investigation.
- 2:46:49SPEAKER_06: That is a state probe into the Medicaid fraud involving phantom services, bogus appointments, and critics argue that EU care prioritized enrollment over fraud prevention, contributing to its financial downfall.
- 2:47:03SPEAKER_06: And you correctly laid out those parallels when it comes to the lack of faith that we have in government because of the all the times when the government has let us down and failed us.
- 2:47:11SPEAKER_06: And fraud is one of them.
- 2:47:14SPEAKER_06: It blows my mind, Scott Jensen, how in a normal business practice, if you have these types of variables from year, year over year, in this case, funding requests coming in, anybody using any common sense goes, we need to go and look into this.
- 2:47:29SPEAKER_06: Let's just examine it and find out what is happening.
- 2:47:32SPEAKER_06: It could be legitimate, but we don't know because this seems odd.
- 2:47:35SPEAKER_06: And yet, crickets or individuals who did step up and were told to either shut up or move to other parts of the government to keep them quiet.
- 2:47:45SPEAKER_06: It's it's incredible to see.
- 2:47:46SPEAKER_06: But you've mentioned UCAR a lot.
- 2:47:47SPEAKER_06: What are your thoughts on this story this morning that UCAR's role in Minnesota's Medicaid fraud, what the insurer knew and when, and they were aware and they just kept cutting the checks?
- 2:47:57SPEAKER_39: Two points I'd make.
- 2:47:58SPEAKER_39: Number one is I don't think there's any question that UCARE was paying fraudulent claims.
- 2:48:03SPEAKER_39: Part of it is because there was so much money to work with.
- 2:48:07SPEAKER_39: That'd be number one.
- 2:48:08SPEAKER_39: If we learn anything to solve number one, it's got to be the word re-verification.
- 2:48:14SPEAKER_39: In so many government programs, if you can check the boxes and get approved as a vendor or a provider, it's almost like the goose that lays the golden egg.
- 2:48:23SPEAKER_39: You just keep on billing, even if you're not providing the services.
- 2:48:27SPEAKER_39: So providers have got to be re-verified in a critical enforcement manner.
- 2:48:32SPEAKER_39: That'd be one thought.
- 2:48:34SPEAKER_39: But I guess I'd like to add a little gas on the fire, John, and say this it's worse than people realize.
- 2:48:41SPEAKER_39: People might think, well, UCare was doing a noble thing, providing medical services and insurance for low-income folks.
- 2:48:51SPEAKER_39: And they were getting$1,000 per head per month.
- 2:48:54SPEAKER_39: That's$12,000 a year.
- 2:48:56SPEAKER_39: What people may not realize is the average spent on an individual in this country annually for healthcare services, when you put all the numbers together, is about$15,000 a year.
- 2:49:07SPEAKER_39: So you'd say, well, gee whiz, uh UCARE was providing it for$12,000.
- 2:49:12SPEAKER_39: But UCARE collected the$12,000.
- 2:49:15SPEAKER_39: But when they pay it out to physicians like myself or to hospitals, they pay it out at medical assistance rates or maybe a little bit more.
- 2:49:23SPEAKER_39: What does that mean?
- 2:49:24SPEAKER_39: Well, that means, John, if you're insured by Blue Cross and you're uh, if you will, commercial insured, if I see you for a physical exam, our clinic may get reimbursed somewhere around$400 for that physical exam.
- 2:49:40SPEAKER_39: If that same examination is done for a Medicare patient, I might get the clinic might get about$125, not$400, with medical assistance.
- 2:49:51SPEAKER_39: It'll be about 70% of the Medicare.
- 2:49:54SPEAKER_39: So you'd be talking somewhere around$85.
- 2:49:57SPEAKER_39: So if you're commercial, I get$400.
- 2:50:01SPEAKER_39: If you're medical assistants, I get$85.
- 2:50:04SPEAKER_39: What that means is UCARE was getting$12,000 a year to take care of that patient.
- 2:50:11SPEAKER_39: But they were literally able to get$40,000 to$50,000 of services for that person and only pay$12,000 out.
- 2:50:21SPEAKER_39: Well,$40,000 or$50,000 is way more than the average.
- 2:50:25SPEAKER_39: It's three times more.
- 2:50:27SPEAKER_39: So it's a system built to make money.
- 2:50:30SPEAKER_39: And that's why UCARE built its platform.
- 2:50:32SPEAKER_39: They didn't just do medical assistance, they did Min Care.
- 2:50:36SPEAKER_39: Then they moved into Medicare Advantage.
- 2:50:38SPEAKER_39: They made pledges and promises.
- 2:50:40SPEAKER_39: Part of the reason we have so much fraud is because we seem to have a never-ending supply of money coming from the government because if the government is wasting it, they're abusing the taxpayer and they're just going back for more.
- 2:50:52SPEAKER_39: We saw that in the 2023 trifecta.
- 2:50:55SPEAKER_39: We had$18 billion surplus evaporate, created what?
- 2:50:59SPEAKER_39: $10 billion more of taxes.
- 2:51:01SPEAKER_39: People don't realize that in Wisconsin, the standard fee for auto tabs for a typical four-door sedan is$85.
- 2:51:10SPEAKER_39: In Minnesota, you could pay 10, 15 times that.
- 2:51:14SPEAKER_39: So I think if you want to if you want to stop fraud, limit the amount of money that politicians can spend and make them tighten their budget rather than telling John Q public to tighten their budget.
- 2:51:29SPEAKER_06: You know, this is more of a statement than it is a question.
- 2:51:32SPEAKER_06: You're welcome to go and respond to it.
- 2:51:34SPEAKER_06: But I find it really interesting that on the left they're constantly criticizing, you know, the rich, the one percenters, you know, a lot of wealth envy going on.
- 2:51:46SPEAKER_06: And it's all sort of surrounding this idea that they're taking advantage or mooching off the public where everybody else, you know, has to go and pay.
- 2:51:53SPEAKER_06: And, you know, we've made arguments counter to that on the show regarding the number of individuals that would fall into that category and the jobs that they provide and the healthcare that they provide and what they do in society and all that.
- 2:52:04SPEAKER_06: I only bring it up because if you want to go and look at people taking advantage of the public, look at the individuals within these programs and the amount of fraud taking place.
- 2:52:13SPEAKER_06: I mean, this should be an issue that everybody should be rallied around.
- 2:52:16SPEAKER_06: And yeah, I know that we have the left now going out and speaking out against it, but there's always sort of a stopping short that we get in terms of responsibility or doing anything about the um about the problem.
- 2:52:27SPEAKER_06: And again, it's just more of a general statement than it is a question, but if you wanted to comment on that.
- 2:52:32SPEAKER_39: You're absolutely right, John.
- 2:52:33SPEAKER_39: And I think we see this word fraud being bantered about in virtually every political race right now.
- 2:52:39SPEAKER_39: And I think one of the challenges going forward over the next eight weeks is how do we make that real?
- 2:52:45SPEAKER_39: So let's just take um, let's just say that you decided that you're working at a retail store and you didn't feel you're getting paid fairly.
- 2:52:53SPEAKER_39: So you said, you know what?
- 2:52:55SPEAKER_39: I think I can, with relative impunity, I'm gonna steal a thousand dollars a week from my employer because he's making too much money anyway.
- 2:53:03SPEAKER_39: A thousand dollars a week, I'm gonna, I'm gonna collect fifty thousand dollars a year, and because I should be paid more.
- 2:53:10SPEAKER_39: Well, I would ask the question do you know how many years you have to do that in order to get to a billion dollars?
- 2:53:18SPEAKER_39: Because if I can't make a billion dollars a real number for folks, I'm not getting through them.
- 2:53:23SPEAKER_39: You have to literally steal a thousand dollars from your employer every week for a year, get fifty thousand dollars, put it in your mattress at home, and you have to do that for twenty thousand years to get to a billion.
- 2:53:35SPEAKER_39: Now, in this state, small groups of people were able to do that in less than a year.
- 2:53:40SPEAKER_39: That's what a billion dollars represents.
- 2:53:43SPEAKER_39: Another instance, the um hot lunch and hot breakfast programs right now in Minnesota.
- 2:53:49SPEAKER_39: What is the waste on average, even calculated by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, how much food is being wasted in our public in our schools every day, every school day across the state?
- 2:54:02SPEAKER_39: The answer for every day is 50 tons of food is thrown away and wasted every day.
- 2:54:11SPEAKER_39: And here's another 50 number.
- 2:54:14SPEAKER_39: We have this hot breakfast, hot lunch program.
- 2:54:17SPEAKER_39: It was supposed to be 200 million dollars a year.
- 2:54:21SPEAKER_39: How much over is it for year 25, 24?
- 2:54:25SPEAKER_39: 50% overrun.
- 2:54:27SPEAKER_39: That's an abusive relationship between the government and the taxpayer.
- 2:54:32SPEAKER_39: So at every level, if we can't make these numbers seem real for folks, we're not gonna be able to make an impact on their voting habits.
- 2:54:41SPEAKER_39: And getting back to one other thing you said, I think we have to be careful with the blame game because one thing we know now is everybody's gonna try to deflect and everybody's gonna try to blame someone else.
- 2:54:51SPEAKER_39: There's plenty of blame to go around.
- 2:54:53SPEAKER_39: We've got to dig in and fix the problem.
- 2:54:55SPEAKER_39: And that's that's why I'm running, John.
- 2:54:57SPEAKER_39: I'm absolutely confident that I can build a team of leaders who have expertise in their own right.
- 2:55:03SPEAKER_39: And that's the only way we're going to write the ship.
- 2:55:08SPEAKER_39: We have got to dig in and we have to say chaos is out the door.
- 2:55:12SPEAKER_39: Competence is what we're gonna get.
- 2:55:13SPEAKER_39: We expose the fraud, we follow the money, but we also have to prosecute.
- 2:55:19SPEAKER_39: Right now, people are very frustrated that we're saying this amount of fraud, this amount of fraud, where are the prosecutions?
- 2:55:24SPEAKER_39: Where are the heavy duty players that were pulling the strings behind the scenes?
- 2:55:28SPEAKER_39: We need to have those people step up and be prosecuted.
- 2:55:31SPEAKER_39: Keith Ellison, how much did he know?
- 2:55:34SPEAKER_39: Did he pledge to certain groups that he would protect them as long as they supported him?
- 2:55:41SPEAKER_39: These are the kinds of things people want to know.
- 2:55:43SPEAKER_39: Where is the prosecution?
- 2:55:46SPEAKER_06: Talking with uh Minnesota State Auditor candidate Scott Jensen, and to your point of the uh school meal program, we talked about it at length uh yesterday on the show.
- 2:55:54SPEAKER_06: John Phelan here at Center of the American Experiment at AmericanExperiment.org has a piece up this morning.
- 2:56:00SPEAKER_06: Uh and as you mentioned, Minnesota's free school meal program implemented by the DFL Trifecta uh is significantly over budget and originally projected to cost$600 million over three years, and now we're at$876 million.
- 2:56:12SPEAKER_06: Governor Walls views the overspending positively, attributing it to higher than expected usage and the program's success in helping students.
- 2:56:21SPEAKER_06: But you touched upon something that we were questioning yesterday.
- 2:56:23SPEAKER_06: You know, how much of this is even, is this overage is even necessary when you consider if you look at the amount of money that's being wasted here.
- 2:56:33SPEAKER_06: And it goes back to, again, are we looking into it?
- 2:56:36SPEAKER_06: Are we going to do an investigation?
- 2:56:38SPEAKER_06: Because that's where this should have started, in my opinion.
- 2:56:40SPEAKER_06: A real leader would have done that.
- 2:56:42SPEAKER_06: They would have said, okay, let's see why this increase has taken place and let's look to see whether or not it's valid or not.
- 2:56:50SPEAKER_06: But no, instead, we get this this just so shows that it's a success because we're having to pay more.
- 2:56:57SPEAKER_39: We have a candidate like Peggy Flanagan telling Minnesotans that the program is a success because it's spending this money and more.
- 2:57:09SPEAKER_39: So she uses that kind of data to imply that a need has been filled.
- 2:57:15SPEAKER_39: There's no fiscal responsibility there.
- 2:57:18SPEAKER_39: Peggy is the same candidate that says that young teenagers can know whether or not they should have elective surgeries removing body parts, and yet these young teenagers routinely will throw away the fruit and the vegetable part of their meal such that school districts are now encountering larger expenses in literally having their garbage removed.
- 2:57:43SPEAKER_39: This is what Peggy Flanagan has done, and she doesn't want to talk about this.
- 2:57:47SPEAKER_39: Peggy Flanagan has been attached at the hip with Tim Walls for the last eight years.
- 2:57:51SPEAKER_39: So when she decides to put some distance between her and her and Tim Walls, Peggy has judged programs over and over and over again based on how much money they spend.
- 2:58:01SPEAKER_39: And she doesn't seem to give a hoot about what the overage is.
- 2:58:04SPEAKER_39: And that's just not fiscally responsible.
- 2:58:08SPEAKER_06: Talking with uh Minnesota State Auditor candidate Scott Jensen, I have a couple of other, I just want to do the summaries on these two other stories before we wrap up our conversation today.
- 2:58:16SPEAKER_06: It's the nice thing about doing this show now, is I can go along if I want to.
- 2:58:19SPEAKER_06: Before I get to that, though, uh question for you regarding what do we do or what what would be your answer to, and we've seen this happen a lot.
- 2:58:29SPEAKER_06: Those programs we have investigated where we've seen just a tremendous amount of fraud, apart from the housing stabilization services program and the program that just got completely shut down because it was almost 100% fraud.
- 2:58:42SPEAKER_06: Those programs out there that we're investigating, we find out that there's fraud, and yet we have to go and stop to investigate it, but that has a potential impact on the legitimate service needs of individuals and those companies that are doing the right thing, that aren't fraudulent, but they're being impacted because of the investigations and the stopping of funding.
- 2:59:02SPEAKER_06: Is there a way to fix that problem when it emerges, or is it just a byproduct of having to go and address the fraud and the need to stop it to sort of plug the leak, which means that unfortunately some individuals may not receive those services that have been getting it legitimately?
- 2:59:20SPEAKER_39: We cannot allow it to simply be a byproduct of what has happened in our response to the fraud that's happened.
- 2:59:27SPEAKER_39: We need to recognize how critically important counties and cities and towns and school districts are because these are the local municipalities that are the last line of defense for these people with real needs and cannot afford to have services cut off.
- 2:59:41SPEAKER_39: So we need to make certain that our local government units are being supported.
- 2:59:47SPEAKER_39: And even as we uh curtail or shut down some programs, we need to make certain that we're working closely with cities, counties, towns, and school districts to make certain that they have the funding necessary so that they can continue to ensure that these folks are being supported.
- 3:00:02SPEAKER_39: This is one of the big challenges of the state auditor.
- 3:00:05SPEAKER_39: The state auditor isn't just about making certain everybody's mining their P's and Q's regarding audits and financial statements at year end.
- 3:00:13SPEAKER_39: They also have to be supporting cities, counties, and towns and school districts.
- 3:00:17SPEAKER_39: A lot of folks don't realize that when your property tax levy is increased by your school district, your county, and your city, it isn't because they're necessarily spending more money.
- 3:00:30SPEAKER_39: It's frequently because money that they had been pledged to help put a program into place by the state government shrinks.
- 3:00:39SPEAKER_39: The state government comes out with a mandate, says, we're going to have you do XYZ, and we'll support you to the tune of 50%.
- 3:00:47SPEAKER_39: And if you do it, you'll have to come up with 50%, we'll pay 50%.
- 3:00:51SPEAKER_39: And it's going to be mandatory in two years.
- 3:00:54SPEAKER_39: Three years later, state government's running short of money.
- 3:00:56SPEAKER_39: They say that support of 50% we've been giving you, we're reducing it to 25%.
- 3:01:01SPEAKER_39: You'll have to find the difference.
- 3:01:02SPEAKER_39: What does the county, city, or school district do?
- 3:01:05SPEAKER_39: They don't have much choice.
- 3:01:07SPEAKER_39: They've got a rob from Peter to pay Paul, or they have to increase the property tax levy.
- 3:01:11SPEAKER_39: Our local municipalities need our support and our respect.
- 3:01:15SPEAKER_39: And we cannot let people in need of services simply be told, too bad for you.
- 3:01:21SPEAKER_39: This is a byproduct of all the fraud that's gone on.
- 3:01:24SPEAKER_39: That is not fair, and that's not who we are.
- 3:01:26SPEAKER_06: Uh, let's just address these two.
- 3:01:28SPEAKER_06: These are both stories from uh this morning uh as we continue our conversation with Scott Jensen before we close out uh today's show.
- 3:01:35SPEAKER_06: We have a report from the Office of Legislative Auditor that found Minnesota often fails to inspect assisted living facilities on time, and that the state's facility ratings don't include the serious maltreatment cases.
- 3:01:49SPEAKER_06: On top of that, that story is from the Minnesota reformer.
- 3:01:52SPEAKER_06: We have a subsequent story that says a new report from the Office of Legislative Auditor warns Minnesota's Medicaid funded assisted living system is vulnerable to improper uh building.
- 3:02:01SPEAKER_06: Are these the same?
- 3:02:02SPEAKER_06: Is this the is this the same issue or are these two different issues that's going on here?
- 3:02:05SPEAKER_39: There are similarities to be sure.
- 3:02:07SPEAKER_39: It's a different issue in terms of talking about assisted living, and you're talking about people that are highly functional, oftentimes needing just a little bit of help.
- 3:02:14SPEAKER_39: Living alone in their own home really isn't the best option, but they certainly don't need the extent of cares that might take place in a nursing home or a memory care center.
- 3:02:23SPEAKER_39: So assisted living is a big part of the transition as we age.
- 3:02:28SPEAKER_39: So in that way, it's it's its own unique issue.
- 3:02:31SPEAKER_39: But in terms of the solution, the solution is similar.
- 3:02:35SPEAKER_39: It has to do with re-verification.
- 3:02:38SPEAKER_39: The Minnesota reformer has done an excellent job on reporting on some of this stuff, and they've made it clear that uh we need to have on-site inspections, we need to have spot inspections in the same way that you're gonna go to a place that says we're feeding 5,000 kids every day.
- 3:02:53SPEAKER_39: Someone needs to go over there, take a picture that there's three kids sitting in a room.
- 3:02:57SPEAKER_39: We need to do the same thing at assisted living units.
- 3:03:00SPEAKER_39: We need to go there, someone needs to walk in from the Department of Human Services and do a check.
- 3:03:05SPEAKER_39: These kinds of things don't have to be inordinately expensive.
- 3:03:09SPEAKER_39: We have the ability to take AI tools and run that through large data sets, literally like the 1.2 million Minnesotans on either medical assistance or Medcare.
- 3:03:21SPEAKER_39: AI can run through those large data sets in less than 48 hours.
- 3:03:26SPEAKER_39: They can help us ferret out what's going wrong and where is it going wrong.
- 3:03:30SPEAKER_39: The assisted living is something that we absolutely need, but we're running into one other problem, John, and that is when people don't know how much a third party is paying on their behalf, they tend to not be that check and balance that we need them to be.
- 3:03:47SPEAKER_39: There was a story where a gentleman was receiving very needed services.
- 3:03:51SPEAKER_39: He was in a one 45-day time frame.
- 3:03:56SPEAKER_39: He did not realize it, but the state had been billed for something like 40 days of service out of 45 days, and it had been thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars.
- 3:04:06SPEAKER_39: But when he was actually shown what the state had paid on his behalf, he said, Well, that's crazy.
- 3:04:11SPEAKER_39: He said, I only received services during that stretch of time, four days.
- 3:04:15SPEAKER_39: And yet the state was charged for 40 days.
- 3:04:18SPEAKER_39: We need to bring the everyday person, the recipient of services, back into the equation so they can help us make sure that people are being on the up and up.
- 3:04:28SPEAKER_06: We've been talking with Minnesota State Auditor candidate Scott Jensen.
- 3:04:31SPEAKER_06: Where can people go and find out more about your uh campaign?
- 3:04:34SPEAKER_06: And I can't believe it's eight, it's only eight weeks away until this election.
- 3:04:38SPEAKER_06: That's insane to me.
- 3:04:40SPEAKER_39: Dr.
- 3:04:40SPEAKER_39: Scott Jensen.com, D R-S-C-O-T-T, J-E-N-S-C-N.com.
- 3:04:46SPEAKER_39: I believe strongly that chaos has to be uh pushed aside and competence has to be reinserted into the way we govern ourselves.
- 3:04:54SPEAKER_39: I think that the state auditor's office can and should be a voice to broadcast to all Minnesotans what's going on.
- 3:05:01SPEAKER_39: We need to achieve affordability and accountability without question.
- 3:05:05SPEAKER_39: And I think the state auditors' role can be to do best practice reviews, do investigations, use your subpoena power, get the information that the legislature needs, that the governor needs, that the attorney general needs, and that Minnesotans need to know so that we can once again be that bright shining star of the North.
- 3:05:25SPEAKER_39: Right now, we have people making comments about whether or not Minnesota's fraud situation should be embarrassing.
- 3:05:32SPEAKER_39: I don't know how you cannot not be embarrassed by what's going on in Minnesota.
- 3:05:36SPEAKER_39: There are people all over the country that when they hear the word Minnesota, they no longer think of the Vikings losing four Super Bowls.
- 3:05:43SPEAKER_39: They think of, oh, you mean fraud tourism state.
- 3:05:47SPEAKER_06: Scott Jensen, thank you for the time this morning.
- 3:05:49SPEAKER_06: You mentioned chaos uh a moment ago.
- 3:05:51SPEAKER_06: We're gonna be talking about some chaos tomorrow on the show.
- 3:05:54SPEAKER_06: We didn't get a chance to get to it today, but 23 arrested and Brooklyn Center hotel raids tied to human trafficking, drugs, and firearms investigation.
- 3:06:01SPEAKER_06: We'll talk about that on tomorrow's show.
- 3:06:03SPEAKER_06: Also, there was another shooting incident uh yesterday.
- 3:06:06SPEAKER_06: One hurt, multiple people detained following the Bloomington uh shooting.
- 3:06:09SPEAKER_06: Those are just a couple of items that we'll get into on the uh on the show tomorrow on a Freedom Friday.
- 3:06:14SPEAKER_06: Scott Jensen, thank you so much for joining us today.
- 3:06:16SPEAKER_06: It was great to talk with you and helping me close out uh today's show.
- 3:06:19SPEAKER_06: Thank you, John.

- 3:06:43SPEAKER_06: Grace and Catherine will be here.
- 3:06:45SPEAKER_06: Might not have Tom Memory.
- 3:06:46SPEAKER_06: They just reached out and he said he's traveling.
- 3:06:48SPEAKER_06: We're gonna see if we can still get him on.
- 3:06:49SPEAKER_06: If not, we'll certainly talk with him uh next week.
- 3:06:51SPEAKER_06: We'll have a further recap of the Republican uh national uh convention uh for the midterms on tomorrow's show, and we'll have some fun as well.
