- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, moms. Welcome to Inside the Mom's Club. I'm your
- 0:03Speaker 1: host Monica Samuels, and I'm here with my co.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Host, Julie orchid Age.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Monica, Monica, nice to be back with you here in Austin,
- 0:11Speaker 1: our hometown.
- 0:12Speaker 3: I mean, I'm so excited to not I love La,
- 0:16Speaker 3: but it's so excited not to pack a bag and
- 0:19Speaker 3: have to travel and you know, leave the dogs, the
- 0:23Speaker 3: whole thing so.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, and traveling these days has gotten.
- 0:26Speaker 3: So Yeah, you want to be able to get through
- 0:29Speaker 3: the airport and get yeah.
- 0:31Speaker 1: And I also I deal with anxiety anyways, so.
- 0:34Speaker 3: I find it just fine to travel with you, just
- 0:37Speaker 3: so you know, well, that's good, but you have some
- 0:39Speaker 3: things you could work out a little bit, as your
- 0:41Speaker 3: friend and co hosts.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Yes, one of the most disturbing moments for me in
- 0:46Speaker 1: my whole life is when the pilot comes on the
- 0:50Speaker 1: over the speaker. I mean, you've gotten off on the
- 0:53Speaker 1: tarmac and you're then all of a sudden, you stop
- 0:56Speaker 1: and nice can stop for a little while, but when
- 0:58Speaker 1: he comes over and says, we don't know when we're
- 1:01Speaker 1: going to get to leave. It could be two, four
- 1:03Speaker 1: or five hours. We're just not sure. Yeah, and then
- 1:06Speaker 1: I know I'm not supposed to stand up without getting arrested.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Possibly right then I have a massive panic attack.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Right, and this is for me on the ski lift
- 1:15Speaker 3: when it stops mid air, very similar kind of feeling, yeah,
- 1:19Speaker 3: or like you want to get off but you can't.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Well I don't even do that because I'm
- 1:24Speaker 1: so away.
- 1:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna That's one place.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I don't think that you and I should be on
- 1:28Speaker 3: the same seat.
- 1:29Speaker 1: The sad thing about anxiety is not like there's certain
- 1:31Speaker 1: things that I don't even risk anymore. Like I'm not
- 1:34Speaker 1: going to risk being on a gondola that stops. So
- 1:36Speaker 1: how do I fix that I don't get on it? Well,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't want to be on the roller coaster that.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Stops, right right. I think you should stick more to
- 1:46Speaker 3: your everyday life anxieties and pressures.
- 1:50Speaker 1: You mean, don't risk the ones that are not okay.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question.
- 1:54Speaker 3: You got trouble I stay in the same room with you,
- 1:57Speaker 3: I know, But does that mean like I have a
- 1:59Speaker 3: few too, But do you have fun anymore?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Like I like, actually like writing on a roller coaster.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I think that's fun. I know what, I can't do
- 2:06Speaker 1: it anymore, because what if it stops, Well, then all
- 2:10Speaker 1: of a sudden, it's like they have to call ems
- 2:12Speaker 1: over because I'm gonna lose that.
- 2:15Speaker 3: I mean, you can't be the what if girl? You
- 2:17Speaker 3: know how I am about that.
- 2:18Speaker 1: That's what anxiety has.
- 2:20Speaker 3: It won't let me go anywhere without dropping off the
- 2:22Speaker 3: luggage first. Yes, I know, because someone might go into
- 2:27Speaker 3: the car. Yeah, this is a true story. Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Well, you know what the good news is, I think
- 2:32Speaker 1: we might have some kind of solution here. I'm learning
- 2:35Speaker 1: all the solutions I went to and I was an
- 2:39Speaker 1: event and planner, and we talked to someone who does
- 2:40Speaker 1: biofeedback and eurofeedback. There are so many great solutions there
- 2:45Speaker 1: are dealing with anxiety other than just what your suggestion was,
- 2:49Speaker 1: which is just quitting altogether.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Because the person that we have today, I'm not sure
- 2:56Speaker 3: we have enough time for all the questions.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I want to get right to.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I'm very excited about it right now. It's very exciting.
- 3:03Speaker 4: She is a certified clinical hypnotherapist. She has a background
- 3:07Speaker 4: in arts and entertainment industry, with expertise also in the
- 3:10Speaker 4: corporate sector. In her practice, she specializes in all types
- 3:16Speaker 4: of anxiety. Yeah, that works for us, resulting in unwanted
- 3:19Speaker 4: behaviors like vaping, smoking, nail biting, insomnia which I deal
- 3:24Speaker 4: with that too, panic attacks which are just described grief,
- 3:28Speaker 4: stage fright, writer's block, procrastination.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I think we might have a solution. I might actually
- 3:35Speaker 1: get to live life and ride the roller coaster again.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Please welcome, Suzanne Britton. Welcome to the Mom's Club. Hi,
- 3:42Speaker 1: thank you so.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Much, him, thank you for having me. This is so exciting.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I am so thrilled because I feel like I'm always
- 3:52Speaker 1: looking for a way to deal with some of these issues,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and the anxiety is one of the worst because as
- 3:58Speaker 1: an adult, you don't want to admit, oh my gosh,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I'm I can't I can't sit here, and I mean.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Like I've got to get up, like I'm heah.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You don't want to admit that. And we actually have
- 4:09Speaker 1: a friend who's a man who he's dealt with a
- 4:12Speaker 1: lot of panic issues, panic attacks and anxiety, and I
- 4:16Speaker 1: know that doesn't feel good for him or his wife.
- 4:18Speaker 1: People don't want to admit that they have that. So
- 4:21Speaker 1: it's nice to know that there's yet another solution for that.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And you specialize in agnosis.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Exactly. Yes, exactly. I specialize in in hypnosis, but I
- 4:35Speaker 2: also have diploma in mind body psychology, so I can
- 4:40Speaker 2: kind of attack it at all angles. But under under hypnotherapy,
- 4:44Speaker 2: the umbrella is anxiety. The reason why we do or
- 4:46Speaker 2: don't do bad habits is or why we do bad
- 4:49Speaker 2: habits is because of anxiety. And what I try and
- 4:52Speaker 2: do is undo those habits, and I do it all
- 4:56Speaker 2: through hypnosis. When it comes to panic attacks, right, nobody
- 4:59Speaker 2: wants to feel a panic attack. It's like you're having
- 5:01Speaker 2: a heart attack. It's terrible. I know people that have
- 5:04Speaker 2: debilitating panic attacks, well, they feel very much. Really is anxiety, Yeah,
- 5:11Speaker 2: they do. They feel very much like that. I've been
- 5:13Speaker 2: in hospitals with friends that have had panic attacks, and
- 5:16Speaker 2: it's all about past stuff. Right, If we can't stop
- 5:20Speaker 2: thinking about the past, then we're going to be anxious,
- 5:23Speaker 2: because that's really what it is. It's stuff from your
- 5:26Speaker 2: past that you're bringing into your present. Like when you're flying, right,
- 5:29Speaker 2: you've had bad experiences flying, All of us fed bad experiences,
- 5:33Speaker 2: so it can create this sort of anxious firm just
- 5:35Speaker 2: you know, Oh, I got to get up Earllian, and
- 5:37Speaker 2: I got to make sure I have everything and there's
- 5:39Speaker 2: a certain amount of anxiety there too. But the big
- 5:42Speaker 2: anxiety is when you're on the plane and you're starting
- 5:45Speaker 2: to freak out because of either turbulence because you know
- 5:47Speaker 2: what that feels like from before, or you have this
- 5:50Speaker 2: really weird phobia about flying that you've never even experienced
- 5:55Speaker 2: anything traumatic, but yet you still fear it. That's called
- 5:57Speaker 2: a phobia. A fear is something you've ex experience and
- 6:01Speaker 2: it scares you, and I phobia is something you haven't
- 6:03Speaker 2: really experienced. It just scares you.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I okay. So this brings to the question of
- 6:10Speaker 3: hypnotic therapy. I mean a lot of our you know,
- 6:14Speaker 3: the people are listening obviously either have a therapist or
- 6:17Speaker 3: have done talk therapy or E M d R. I
- 6:21Speaker 3: mean so many things. So explain to us how the
- 6:25Speaker 3: process of doing hypnotic therapy works and how long do
- 6:30Speaker 3: you do it and do you do it every time?
- 6:33Speaker 2: So great question. So for cognitive behavioral therapy or for
- 6:40Speaker 2: talk therapy, it's wonderful. I it's it's wonderful, and it
- 6:44Speaker 2: gets you to what your issue is and that's that's
- 6:48Speaker 2: where it can stay. Sometimes can feel like you're stuck there,
- 6:52Speaker 2: like great, Okay, now I know I have a fear
- 6:54Speaker 2: of heights, not now what I know where it came from,
- 6:56Speaker 2: but like now, what right? Right? So what I do
- 7:00Speaker 2: is I go deep into your subconscious mind and change
- 7:02Speaker 2: those neural pathways from how you were thinking before, like
- 7:06Speaker 2: you were scared, and I help you heal those neural
- 7:09Speaker 2: pathways of that thought of I'm scared or I'm frightened
- 7:13Speaker 2: or whatever it is, I'm panicking, and I change them
- 7:16Speaker 2: into now, I'm okay, this is irrational. I know that
- 7:20Speaker 2: I can do this. I know that I can go
- 7:22Speaker 2: climb up a ladder, or get on an airplane, or
- 7:24Speaker 2: touch a dog that you that I thought would bite me.
- 7:27Speaker 2: So it's all about going deeper where therapists kind of
- 7:32Speaker 2: leave off. That's that's where I come.
- 7:35Speaker 3: And do we spend the most of our time in
- 7:36Speaker 3: the subconscious?
- 7:40Speaker 2: Well, yeah, actually, that's funny. You said that probably eighty
- 7:44Speaker 2: eight to ninety percent of our decision making is from
- 7:47Speaker 2: our subconscious mind.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Monica.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I know a lot of people are wait, what, oh, no,
- 7:53Speaker 2: I'm contrasticing. I'm going to the store and picking things out. Well,
- 7:57Speaker 2: of course that's conscious decision making. But you know, when
- 8:01Speaker 2: we marry people sometimes we marry our mothers, sometimes we
- 8:05Speaker 2: marry our fathers, and we do it. It's a form
- 8:08Speaker 2: of homeostasis. It's a form of being comfortable even though
- 8:13Speaker 2: you're uncomfortable, being uncomfortable in your comfort, and vice versa.
- 8:17Speaker 2: It's very confusing a lot of the times we're doing things,
- 8:21Speaker 2: thinking things that you know that we we're just subconsciously
- 8:25Speaker 2: making choices about and we don't even know it.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Wow.
- 8:28Speaker 1: So when you say you change your neuropathways through the
- 8:32Speaker 1: process of hypnosis, is it something that you like? You
- 8:38Speaker 1: go through the process, you do the therapy. I pay
- 8:42Speaker 1: for you to take me through the first session, and
- 8:44Speaker 1: we do it. I say, oh, I need it again.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Does it get to a point where I don't feel
- 8:51Speaker 1: that anxiety anymore because my brain is rewired to think differently?
- 8:55Speaker 1: Or I have to keep going back to you every
- 8:57Speaker 1: time I need to go on an airplane and you
- 8:59Speaker 1: need to put me under hypnosis so that I is
- 9:02Speaker 1: it something that it just literally changes what you're feeling
- 9:06Speaker 1: and it gets rid of that feeling?
- 9:07Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 9:10Speaker 2: For some people it's therapeutic imagery. Like I'll say to them,
- 9:13Speaker 2: you know, do you have a loved one that passed
- 9:15Speaker 2: and they'll say, yeah, my grandfather was very close to him,
- 9:19Speaker 2: and I'll give him some imagery like, well, just pretend
- 9:21Speaker 2: your grandpa's hands right or under the plane, Oh, and
- 9:25Speaker 2: they're carrying the plane to safety. Really loves bring comfort
- 9:29Speaker 2: that way some people, Right, isn't that beautiful? And people
- 9:33Speaker 2: are religious and and I'll talk and I'll say, you know,
- 9:36Speaker 2: just pretend that God or Jesus's hands are carrying the
- 9:39Speaker 2: plane and you're and you're in safe hands. Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 3: I like that a lot. I mean, I've been told that. Yeah,
- 9:45Speaker 3: it's all the mind, right. So I did look at
- 9:47Speaker 3: theory of the mind that you sent over to us,
- 9:49Speaker 3: which a lot of people can't see right now. But
- 9:51Speaker 3: it's very interesting because I told Monica earlier when we
- 9:55Speaker 3: were reading about you, that I have been known in
- 9:59Speaker 3: my life to live in my primitive mind fight or flight,
- 10:03Speaker 3: you know what I mean, that kind of spacing in
- 10:06Speaker 3: your brain, which I think is common for a lot
- 10:08Speaker 3: of people once they start to have therapy, whether it's
- 10:11Speaker 3: hypnotic or whatever, or talk therapy that you a lot
- 10:14Speaker 3: of people find out this is the place that you've
- 10:17Speaker 3: been operating from, which in turns seems to be very,
- 10:21Speaker 3: very stressful. So can you speak to the different levels
- 10:24Speaker 3: of the mind and especially you know the how.
- 10:28Speaker 2: A primitive mind? A primitive mind, sure, so, primitive mind
- 10:34Speaker 2: has has four parts to it. It's your fight, flight, freezer, fond.
- 10:39Speaker 2: When you're in fight, you're fighting a situation, or you're
- 10:43Speaker 2: fighting yourself. When you're in flight, you're like I'm out, yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 2: or you lose yourself right, you leave yourself with drugs, alcohol, cutting,
- 10:52Speaker 2: biting your nails, pulling your hair. Freezing is when you're blocked.
- 10:57Speaker 2: You're like, I don't know what to do. I'm stuck unblocked, Okay,
- 11:01Speaker 2: And a lot of people feel that way in marriages
- 11:05Speaker 2: or relationships or at work or trying to make a choice.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And then the fawning is what moms do.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 11:13Speaker 2: We have our boundaries, but we let everybody cross them
- 11:16Speaker 2: so that they're fine. Right, you know, you eat, I'll
- 11:19Speaker 2: eat later or no, no, let me just run myself
- 11:22Speaker 2: where again, I'll shower in two weeks. Don't worry you
- 11:25Speaker 2: go ahead and do you. It's kind of right.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Don't worry about me, got it?
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah, especially new moms, new moms, but yeah, so and
- 11:33Speaker 2: at work too, we're fauners at work. Women fawn all
- 11:36Speaker 2: the time, and so we either cross our own boundaries
- 11:39Speaker 2: to please others to spider own needs, or we let
- 11:41Speaker 2: them cross ours. Oh wow, So so primitive mind rules
- 11:46Speaker 2: a lot. It rules a lot of what we do
- 11:48Speaker 2: or don't do because it's keeping us safe. Our primitive
- 11:52Speaker 2: mind is saying, look, I'm not here to make you happy, honey,
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm here to protect you.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Protect you.
- 11:56Speaker 2: So you're just going to have ruminating thoughts all over
- 11:59Speaker 2: the place. People will always say should have, could have,
- 12:01Speaker 2: woulda why didn't I? I should have done this, I should
- 12:03Speaker 2: have done that. That's just anxiety from your past. It's
- 12:07Speaker 2: primitive mind keeping you protected. So what's well?
- 12:11Speaker 1: Also, really quick question before I ask my real my
- 12:13Speaker 1: actual question. Does does this work for for not you know,
- 12:17Speaker 1: like eating too much sugar? Like can you lose weight
- 12:21Speaker 1: doing this? Because I read through the whole list and
- 12:24Speaker 1: if that's the case, I mean I will definitely. I
- 12:25Speaker 1: asked you calling you about because you know I eating
- 12:30Speaker 1: obsessively as a way, Like there's nail biting and all
- 12:34Speaker 1: these things. Is that another form of like that this
- 12:38Speaker 1: can work?
- 12:39Speaker 2: Actually, I'm surprised I didn't put that on the list.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Sorry about that. Yeah, it's one of my my my
- 12:44Speaker 2: big uh, one of the things I work on the
- 12:48Speaker 2: most with people's weight loss and sugar addiction, sugar addiction,
- 12:52Speaker 2: and it's the four It's the four ws. What, where, when? Why?
- 12:56Speaker 2: What are you eating? Why are you eating? Where you eating?
- 13:00Speaker 2: And what time are you eating? What when? We're why?
- 13:03Speaker 2: And when you start to make yourself accountable right just
- 13:05Speaker 2: on your conscious level, you're going to start putting message
- 13:08Speaker 2: units in your mind, like why am I eating this?
- 13:12Speaker 2: What am I grabbing for? You know, what time of
- 13:15Speaker 2: day is it? Where am I eating? Am I eating
- 13:17Speaker 2: like in secret? Or am I eating in my bedroom?
- 13:20Speaker 2: Am I eating in the kitchen? Am I eating at
- 13:22Speaker 2: an appropriate time? What am I eating? Am I grabbing
- 13:25Speaker 2: for sugar? Am I grabbing for carbs and bread and
- 13:28Speaker 2: comfort food? So, yeah, weight loss is a really big
- 13:31Speaker 2: part of my business. Well, it really works, and sometimes
- 13:34Speaker 2: it took one session, Sometimes it takes.
- 13:36Speaker 1: To know that that's tremendous. Well, so take us through
- 13:39Speaker 1: the process of hypnosis, like what a session might look
- 13:43Speaker 1: like because you've we've all seen it, I guess historically,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you know the old the pocket watch, you know, like
- 13:49Speaker 1: you're going into.
- 13:49Speaker 2: A deep sleep.
- 13:52Speaker 1: How does it work? How? First of all, I understand
- 13:54Speaker 1: not everybody can can be hypnotized. I mean that doesn't
- 13:58Speaker 1: work on everybody.
- 13:59Speaker 3: That there's a.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Test Spiegler's tests, So there's a test that you give
- 14:03Speaker 1: you to see if you're even if it's this is
- 14:06Speaker 1: possible for you.
- 14:07Speaker 2: So how does all that work? So that's a really
- 14:11Speaker 2: good question. First of all, you can be hypnotized if
- 14:14Speaker 2: you want to be hypnotized. It's all about allowing yourself
- 14:18Speaker 2: to be suggested to. Because I'm really not doing anything
- 14:21Speaker 2: except going be be beep in your ear. I'm telling
- 14:23Speaker 2: you things that we've discussed already. So how a regular
- 14:27Speaker 2: therapy session would go is we talk for about I
- 14:31Speaker 2: don't know, maybe half an hour and the rest of
- 14:34Speaker 2: the time, about twenty five minutes is the hypnosis. But
- 14:40Speaker 2: what I'm doing is before we go into hypnosis and
- 14:44Speaker 2: I have your permission to put you under because you
- 14:47Speaker 2: have to want to be suggestible, I discuss with you
- 14:49Speaker 2: what you want your issue to be based on, and
- 14:52Speaker 2: then I put it in chat GPT that I've already prompted.
- 14:55Speaker 2: It comes up with a beautiful script just for my
- 14:58Speaker 2: client using any names just a script on what they
- 15:02Speaker 2: want to work on, and then I go ahead and
- 15:05Speaker 2: I lull them into a trance. And that thing you're
- 15:09Speaker 2: talking about the pocket watch is called an I fascination,
- 15:12Speaker 2: and sometimes people can use pens, they can use their
- 15:15Speaker 2: own fingers watches. Sure, but the typical therapeutic session would
- 15:21Speaker 2: be we talk first and find out what's going on,
- 15:25Speaker 2: and then I put them in hypnosis. Yeah, wow, that's.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Is it scary for some people?
- 15:34Speaker 2: A lot of people are nervous coming in, but you know,
- 15:36Speaker 2: when you establish a rapport and kind of like you know,
- 15:39Speaker 2: you kind of make them feel comfortable, let them know
- 15:42Speaker 2: they're in control, because you are completely in control. It's
- 15:46Speaker 2: not like I'm going to put you under and you're
- 15:48Speaker 2: going to go in this deep sleep and I'm going
- 15:49Speaker 2: to steal your wallet. Sure, sure, Sure, It's basically you're
- 15:54Speaker 2: just sort of laying back. You're in a trance like state,
- 15:57Speaker 2: and you're hearing everything I'm saying, and you're imagining it
- 16:00Speaker 2: if you can in your head. Sometimes people can't see
- 16:03Speaker 2: pictures in their heads, so I have to say, can
- 16:05Speaker 2: you feel this? Can you smell this? What does it
- 16:08Speaker 2: feel like when you're in a room, what does it
- 16:10Speaker 2: feel like when you're up near a tree. So, and
- 16:14Speaker 2: that's difficult because you know a lot of hypnosis is
- 16:17Speaker 2: therapeutic imagery to get you to go back, maybe to
- 16:20Speaker 2: visit your little girl self. Yeah, So do.
- 16:23Speaker 3: You handle it differently when you're working with an online
- 16:27Speaker 3: client because you're in California, so people coming to you
- 16:30Speaker 3: is obviously an option. I saw your beautiful office. It
- 16:34Speaker 3: practically put me in a chance just by watching it.
- 16:36Speaker 3: I was like, well, that was beautiful. So, I mean,
- 16:40Speaker 3: I love all of this stuff, you know what I mean.
- 16:42Speaker 3: So I'd like to know, like, obviously for your business,
- 16:46Speaker 3: you're also online, and how do you handle people's distractions
- 16:50Speaker 3: in their home versus being in the office, and does
- 16:53Speaker 3: it work just as well?
- 16:58Speaker 2: You know, it's honestly, I do love face to face
- 17:00Speaker 2: because I do think energy, you know, between the person
- 17:04Speaker 2: is a big thing. But people do raiky energy over
- 17:06Speaker 2: the internet. Now, yeah, and I think that's fascinating. But
- 17:10Speaker 2: zoom is about seventy five percent of my business. And
- 17:15Speaker 2: you know, they're in the comfort of their own home.
- 17:17Speaker 2: They have their earbuds in or their headphones so they
- 17:20Speaker 2: can hear me right directly in their head, right I'm
- 17:23Speaker 2: just right there in the realy okay and yeah, But
- 17:26Speaker 2: basically they're in their own environment and they feel safe.
- 17:29Speaker 2: They feel secure, they can relax, they can lay in
- 17:32Speaker 2: their own bed with their own smells and surroundings and
- 17:36Speaker 2: you know, cats and stuff. It's up to them. If
- 17:38Speaker 2: they want to let their pets in, then let their
- 17:39Speaker 2: pets in. You know, it's fine. It's just another message
- 17:43Speaker 2: unit to maybe possibly get them to go deeper and
- 17:45Speaker 2: focus more. But you know, we do. I do give
- 17:49Speaker 2: them this sort of prep work before, which is like, oh,
- 17:53Speaker 2: be in a quiet space, make sure you're not going
- 17:54Speaker 2: to be interrupted, make sure kids aren't bringing on the door. Mom, Mom,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I need some peanut butter and jelly, you know, for
- 18:00Speaker 2: your in a quiet environment for about fifty minutes.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Now, you said they you can't make someone do something
- 18:07Speaker 1: that they would not otherwise be agreeable in their subconscious
- 18:11Speaker 1: mind to do. Is that true because you're a trusted professional?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Who does this? I mean? Is it theoretically possibly? Like
- 18:19Speaker 1: who should you allow to who should you work with?
- 18:22Speaker 1: What credentials should they have? Is it possible for someone
- 18:25Speaker 1: to do that? Use this for not for a ill purpose?
- 18:29Speaker 3: Like is it.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Could people harm you with hypnotherapy.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Yeah, you're like, yeah, do you like how do you?
- 18:38Speaker 4: Yes?
- 18:38Speaker 5: Could they?
- 18:39Speaker 1: I mean, is it?
- 18:41Speaker 3: You know?
- 18:42Speaker 2: I you know, it's funnier saying that. I've been seeing
- 18:45Speaker 2: a lot of these pop up you know, hypnotherapy schools,
- 18:47Speaker 2: like be a hypnotherapist in like seven days, right, Yeah,
- 18:51Speaker 2: And that offends me because I went to school in
- 18:53Speaker 2: college for this and you know, no, it's not a
- 18:56Speaker 2: licensed practice in the state of California, but we are certified.
- 18:59Speaker 2: I do go to a credit I did go to
- 19:01Speaker 2: an accredited college, HMI College of Hypnosis. And and you know,
- 19:07Speaker 2: I think that if if you want to harm someone
- 19:11Speaker 2: in hypnosis, I guess you if potentially wanted to do that,
- 19:16Speaker 2: you could. I obviously it's not not what we want
- 19:19Speaker 2: to do. And I do think that there are some
- 19:22Speaker 2: really there's some characters out there that you know, sure
- 19:26Speaker 2: like in my control.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Yeah, how did you get into it?
- 19:31Speaker 2: You know what?
- 19:31Speaker 6: What?
- 19:33Speaker 2: I how did you get start?
- 19:35Speaker 3: So I've had a long career, So can you tell
- 19:39Speaker 3: us how you got.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Into I sure, I know it's like one of my
- 19:44Speaker 2: it's like a ninth life I surround a cat. But
- 19:48Speaker 2: I was doing a voiceover for just this like tech magazine,
- 19:52Speaker 2: and the director said, you have such a great speaking voice,
- 19:56Speaker 2: you should think about, you know, like hypnotizing people. It's
- 20:00Speaker 2: so lulling. And I'm like, really, oh that's interesting. And
- 20:03Speaker 2: I was like yeah, whatever. And then literally a week later,
- 20:06Speaker 2: I saw someone at Starbucks and he was holding this
- 20:10Speaker 2: kind of binder and it said, hm, I a College
- 20:12Speaker 2: of Hypnotic I was like, okay, this is a sign
- 20:14Speaker 2: because I've ever seen this before. And I'm like, I
- 20:17Speaker 2: am following the signs. So I'm like, hi, mister, can
- 20:22Speaker 2: I ask you about your binder? You know, are you
- 20:25Speaker 2: a hypnotist or He's like, well, I actually owned the college.
- 20:29Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, oh, that's a good person to know.
- 20:32Speaker 2: So I kind of picked as he was nice enough
- 20:35Speaker 2: to let me pick his brain a little bit. And
- 20:37Speaker 2: the next day I got my I got my fssay loan.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It was like, I don't know, ten grand or something
- 20:42Speaker 2: like that, which is the kind of schooling we're getting
- 20:45Speaker 2: is worth way more than that. But I paid it
- 20:49Speaker 2: off and you know, it's like a regular school loan
- 20:51Speaker 2: because they're an accredited college. And I did, you know
- 20:55Speaker 2: a few probably about three years of school and and
- 20:59Speaker 2: I've been pro just sing ever since. You practice in
- 21:02Speaker 2: school as well, because you get pro bono clients. It's
- 21:04Speaker 2: an amazing, amazing career.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Yeah, can you share of us, like one of like
- 21:10Speaker 3: I mean, obviously a story or something that you're so
- 21:14Speaker 3: proud about that hypnotherapy worked and this person is thriving and.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, God, I've had over fifteen hundred sessions
- 21:24Speaker 2: in this past year, and I can tell you that
- 21:29Speaker 2: the most rewarding is when they they tell you you've
- 21:32Speaker 2: changed my life. I no longer have a fear of travel.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I no longer vape. You saved my life. I no
- 21:40Speaker 2: longer overeat. I don't grab for sugar anymore. You know,
- 21:43Speaker 2: my doctor's so happy. It's everyone. And you know, I
- 21:49Speaker 2: can tell you the hardest people to reach are the
- 21:52Speaker 2: ones that just resist change. They just don't want to change.
- 21:56Speaker 2: And those are the ones when I finally do kind
- 21:59Speaker 2: of get hold to their Yeah, those neuropathways and jo's
- 22:03Speaker 2: bad habits, and they finally change. That's the most rewarding.
- 22:05Speaker 2: I Mean, I've people smoke for fifty years and they're like,
- 22:08Speaker 2: there's no way you can get me to quit smoking.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I've been smoking for fifty years. I'm like, well, let's
- 22:13Speaker 2: try challenge. I mean, if you want to change, you'll think, right,
- 22:16Speaker 2: they have to want to do it, sure.
- 22:18Speaker 1: So it's really more patient and then those people stop.
- 22:22Speaker 1: So it's really more based on the patient than not
- 22:24Speaker 1: the condition. So I was going to ask you, like,
- 22:27Speaker 1: what's the most difficult thing to actually using this method
- 22:32Speaker 1: a cure or get beyond beyond it?
- 22:35Speaker 4: There?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Well, smoking sounds like it, But it sounds like if
- 22:37Speaker 1: they're very motivated and willing and really wanting to then
- 22:40Speaker 1: maybe that's not as difficult, and it could easily be
- 22:44Speaker 1: nail biting because they don't really want to quit that
- 22:45Speaker 1: or something.
- 22:48Speaker 2: You know what, You're right, it's all of those. I mean,
- 22:51Speaker 2: you have to want to quit what you're doing for
- 22:54Speaker 2: the benefit of your own health and the better betterment
- 22:56Speaker 2: of your life. Yeah, and uh, you know, I would
- 23:00Speaker 2: say one of my hardest clients, I do some a
- 23:03Speaker 2: rectile dysfunction as well. I have some of those cries.
- 23:06Speaker 2: They're very difficult because there's so much deep rooted stuff
- 23:10Speaker 2: there in their childhood. Most of the time, but it works,
- 23:14Speaker 2: but they but it works because they stick with it.
- 23:17Speaker 2: It's it's therapy. It's not. You know, let's wave my
- 23:20Speaker 2: magic wand and you know, rabbit dabra, you're you're you're
- 23:25Speaker 2: fixed cause I don't fix you. My job is to
- 23:27Speaker 2: make you feel good, feel better, and help you through
- 23:31Speaker 2: whatever you're going through. Right, Because you don't just all
- 23:34Speaker 2: of a sudden smoke for no reason. You could have
- 23:37Speaker 2: done it because you felt cool doing it when you
- 23:38Speaker 2: were a kid, or it made you look sexyer, you
- 23:40Speaker 2: felt better, whatever it was. The feeling by the air. Yeah,
- 23:46Speaker 2: so always and eating too, making your feeling.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah, this podcast inside the Mom's Club, we cater to everybody.
- 23:53Speaker 3: But do you do it a lot with kids?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Yeah? What's the age right, you're.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Yeah, great question. So we don't really recommend hypnotherapy for
- 24:07Speaker 2: kids that are under ten because your critical mind isn't
- 24:11Speaker 2: developed yet. So really anywhere from tena no?
- 24:16Speaker 3: Very cool.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Yeah, because you don't use your critical thinking brain until
- 24:20Speaker 2: you're like past ten years old. I know a few
- 24:23Speaker 2: people who are still not using their critical thinking brains.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Yeah, well passed, well passed, Yeah, probably we all do,
- 24:35Speaker 3: we all do. Yeah, Yeah, that's for sure. That's for sure.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Well this is super interesting.
- 24:40Speaker 3: I mean, I have my list is long what other
- 24:43Speaker 3: So are there other.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Therapies that you use in combination with this, because I
- 24:47Speaker 1: met someone who does biofeedback and neurofeedback, and I mean
- 24:52Speaker 1: there's other things that also work on Yeah, changing the
- 24:56Speaker 1: neural neuropathways. Do they work together?
- 24:59Speaker 2: Is there no house breathwork?
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 25:02Speaker 2: I do breath work sometimes with my clients to kind
- 25:05Speaker 2: of get them in there in their uh their their
- 25:08Speaker 2: sympathetic nervous system. I kind of rev them up and
- 25:11Speaker 2: then I dropped them right into hypnosis. It gets them
- 25:13Speaker 2: as it's almost a deepener, helps them prepare, and it's
- 25:16Speaker 2: a it's a great way to oxygenate your blood put
- 25:19Speaker 2: your brain, to put oxygen in your brain. And and
- 25:22Speaker 2: also you want to relax after you do that kind
- 25:24Speaker 2: of breath work. It's a breathwork detox and it's amazing.
- 25:28Speaker 2: I got certified in that, and also I got certified
- 25:30Speaker 2: in sound bath. So I do have you know, some
- 25:34Speaker 2: uh some stuff I use for deepeners with using music, soundbals, chimes,
- 25:40Speaker 2: things like that.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I saw that on your I saw that, and you
- 25:43Speaker 1: know what, So I went to a spa in California
- 25:48Speaker 1: and I did a massage and so I signed up
- 25:50Speaker 1: for this massage that was supposed to help.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Me sleep better.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and they didn't tell me what it was going
- 25:55Speaker 1: to be. And so I'm on the massage table, I'm
- 25:58Speaker 1: pretty relaxed, and all of a sudden she has this
- 26:01Speaker 1: giant symbol and it goes all over my body, back
- 26:04Speaker 1: and forth, and it literally that actually freaked me out.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I was like, what is this?
- 26:08Speaker 3: So that's on your list of anxiety?
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yes, but I now understand that actually there's a good
- 26:15Speaker 1: purpose for it. I mean to explain soundback really quickly,
- 26:20Speaker 1: because if anyone else ever has this happened to them,
- 26:22Speaker 1: rather than cause more anxiety, Lord, it will help them.
- 26:27Speaker 1: So that does that change? Does that affecting your neuropathway?
- 26:30Speaker 1: And then what is what does that do?
- 26:31Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 26:34Speaker 2: So first of all, you should be warned before anyone's
- 26:37Speaker 2: going to use any type of symbol or gong or
- 26:40Speaker 2: noise in a massage, right, So that's frequency healing. So
- 26:44Speaker 2: frequency healing the sound bowls of the seven chakras from
- 26:49Speaker 2: your your sacle chakra all the way up to the
- 26:52Speaker 2: crown chakra. There's seven of them and they each have
- 26:54Speaker 2: a color as well. I'm sure you've seen the chakrah yes,
- 26:57Speaker 2: where each one has a color it yes. So each
- 27:00Speaker 2: sound rowl has like different key. So the key of
- 27:03Speaker 2: d is sacral. And that's when I use in my
- 27:07Speaker 2: set in my sound healing, and it gets right here,
- 27:10Speaker 2: right to the center of your body, which is so healing.
- 27:13Speaker 2: But frequency healing is amazing. I also have this little
- 27:16Speaker 2: thing that I use. Oh wow, and this when you
- 27:20Speaker 2: press these little buttons, yeah right, these will give you
- 27:23Speaker 2: the frequency of healing that you want. Maybe it's better sleep,
- 27:27Speaker 2: maybe it's just for alignment, maybe it's to heal bones.
- 27:31Speaker 2: But frequency healing is becoming more and more recognized as
- 27:37Speaker 2: a healing tool because it's also breaking up cancer cells.
- 27:42Speaker 2: If they find out the frequency of the cancer cell,
- 27:45Speaker 2: they can break up the cancer cell. So frequency healing
- 27:47Speaker 2: is rapidly becoming used in different types of regality.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Thank you so much for sharing that with me, because
- 27:55Speaker 1: as a result of that experience, I do need to
- 27:57Speaker 1: come see you for my anxiety is resulting from that
- 28:01Speaker 1: experience in my recent past life. So thank you.
- 28:04Speaker 2: But yes, in the future again, need to tell you
- 28:07Speaker 2: before they she agreed me save exactly. Well, we are excited.
- 28:12Speaker 1: We've had some great questions, but we have some ladies
- 28:14Speaker 1: that have also have maybe even better questions, and that
- 28:18Speaker 1: is our Zoomer Moms. And we want to give special
- 28:21Speaker 1: thanks to our Zoomer Moms sponsor, Woodlock Resort for helping

- 28:44Speaker 1: much Woodlock Resorts for sponsoring our Zoomer Moms and welcome
- 28:48Speaker 1: Zoomer Moms. Welcome to the Mom's Club. I am going
- 28:53Speaker 1: to introduce each one of you and I would ask
- 28:56Speaker 1: that you tell us your name, where you're from, a
- 28:58Speaker 1: little bit about yourself, and then do you have a
- 29:01Speaker 1: question for Suzanne. Hannah, Welcome to the Mom's Club.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Hi, how are you good?
- 29:09Speaker 2: Hello Hannah.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Hi, my name is Hannah Jones. I live in Los Angeles, California.
- 29:16Speaker 6: I work for Brothers Gutters, a gutter company, and a
- 29:22Speaker 6: fun fact about me is that I am in a
- 29:26Speaker 6: Hallmark Christmas movie that's sometimes plays over the holidays. It's
- 29:32Speaker 6: very exciting. And then I get like eleven dollars in
- 29:35Speaker 6: residual chicks.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Very cool.
- 29:41Speaker 2: Yeah, and your how many kids you have? How many kids?
- 29:43Speaker 6: And I have two children, a four year old and
- 29:46Speaker 6: a two year old, both girls.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 29:49Speaker 6: I do have a question for Susanne. What do you
- 29:53Speaker 6: do in between your hypnotherapy sessions to like continue doing
- 29:59Speaker 6: the work? Like is there something you're doing?
- 30:03Speaker 2: I mean, like a click, cleansing out the energy, things
- 30:05Speaker 2: like that, or like just to like reinforce until the
- 30:09Speaker 2: person sees you again. Oh okay, so uh so between
- 30:15Speaker 2: the between the sessions, that's a great question. Everybody gets
- 30:19Speaker 2: a recorded journey. So when we're in session together and
- 30:23Speaker 2: and like let's say you have an issue with whatever
- 30:25Speaker 2: it is, and and we do the journey, and then
- 30:28Speaker 2: I'll say, okay, listen to this every night right before bed.
- 30:31Speaker 2: It's your mind medicine. And you listen to it for about,
- 30:34Speaker 2: I don't know, probably forty five minutes before you go
- 30:36Speaker 2: to sleep, because you don't want to be so exhausted
- 30:38Speaker 2: you're going to actually conk out. I don't blame you,
- 30:40Speaker 2: but try and listen to it, you know, forty five
- 30:44Speaker 2: minutes before bed. It's your mind medicine. It's going to
- 30:46Speaker 2: keep it's going to keep going and syncing into your
- 30:50Speaker 2: mind of whatever your issue is, and then when you
- 30:53Speaker 2: come back, you get a whole new journey the next
- 30:55Speaker 2: the next session that we have. Is that what you mean?
- 30:58Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly what I want?
- 31:00Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Janine, Welcome to the Mom's Club. Tell us a little
- 31:04Speaker 1: bit about yourself. Where you're from, and do you have
- 31:06Speaker 1: a question for Suzanne.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Hi, I'm Janine and I live in Austin, Texas. A
- 31:11Speaker 5: little bit about me. I'm a retired elementary teacher and
- 31:16Speaker 5: had the great fortune to have a second career after
- 31:19Speaker 5: retiring with a residential home development and home design and
- 31:24Speaker 5: it's been such fun to explore a very very different
- 31:29Speaker 5: side of myself that I really didn't know much beyond
- 31:32Speaker 5: the fact that I could range a classroom and reconfigure
- 31:35Speaker 5: it to suit me. So that's been a great addition
- 31:40Speaker 5: to my life. I have two girls, a daughter that's
- 31:44Speaker 5: biologically mine and then my lovely stepdaughter who gives us
- 31:49Speaker 5: two grandsons. So that's a little bit about me. As
- 31:53Speaker 5: we've been going through this, I do have a question
- 31:57Speaker 5: and your focus, your your direction with hypnosis is mind body,
- 32:07Speaker 5: the psychological side. But there's also people who need help
- 32:11Speaker 5: with the physical side of healing. And so my question
- 32:16Speaker 5: would be is what kind of relationship is there between
- 32:19Speaker 5: the type of therapy you provide and say, someone who
- 32:24Speaker 5: is medically at risk for being put under general anesthesia
- 32:29Speaker 5: and hypnotic therapy may be a direction for them to
- 32:36Speaker 5: pursue for a medical procedure instead of going under general. Right,
- 32:42Speaker 5: say someone who is at risk with weight, or they
- 32:44Speaker 5: have a certain heart condition, but they still need surgery
- 32:48Speaker 5: for something, but they cannot be put under safely.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Hypnosis is amazing for that, and you know there are
- 32:57Speaker 2: some very talented hypnotherapists that do that. I do not
- 33:00Speaker 2: do that, but I I know that that it's more
- 33:04Speaker 2: than possible. I have colleagues that do it. I do
- 33:08Speaker 2: get referred a lot for chronic pain, and I can
- 33:10Speaker 2: help with chronic pain and so, but as far as
- 33:15Speaker 2: going into here's a really good example, what I would
- 33:21Speaker 2: do is I would research the heck out of it,
- 33:23Speaker 2: and I would find the best journey for them to
- 33:27Speaker 2: listen to while they're in in there in the room
- 33:31Speaker 2: that they're I guess they're being either operated on or
- 33:33Speaker 2: maybe a tooth or something like that. Correct is what
- 33:35Speaker 2: you're saying, correct instead of going under? Right, So I
- 33:39Speaker 2: would give them a journey. Obviously I couldn't be there
- 33:41Speaker 2: in the room with them, but I would give them
- 33:44Speaker 2: a journey that would help them through the process of
- 33:47Speaker 2: however long they're going to be under, So they would
- 33:49Speaker 2: have a journey for whatever, if a two hour procedure
- 33:52Speaker 2: or I would make sure it was above and beyond.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I'd make sure it was you know, hours of hypnosis
- 33:58Speaker 2: so that they can have it on loop over and
- 34:00Speaker 2: over and over again. But that's what that's That's how
- 34:03Speaker 2: I would approach it, and I'm sure most hypnotherapists would
- 34:06Speaker 2: approach it the same way. Is they they know their prompts,
- 34:09Speaker 2: they know their keywords to say to make sure that
- 34:12Speaker 2: they stay you know, under and safe. And they feel
- 34:15Speaker 2: like they're either floating on a beach, you know, in
- 34:18Speaker 2: a in a in a beautiful you know, floatation device,
- 34:21Speaker 2: and they feel the sun on their on their face,
- 34:22Speaker 2: and maybe if they're religious people, they feel God, you know,
- 34:26Speaker 2: they are God's hands on their shoulders or you know,
- 34:29Speaker 2: of his light or his his divine presence, So it
- 34:32Speaker 2: just depends on the person. But but there are really
- 34:36Speaker 2: talented hypnottherapists that deal with that. Yeah, I did think
- 34:39Speaker 2: that's a great question to you, because I did read
- 34:42Speaker 2: that they do that. For example, if you're going to
- 34:44Speaker 2: go through a biopsy procedure, which can be incredibly uncomfortable,
- 34:48Speaker 2: and you're not going to be put under necessarily, but
- 34:50Speaker 2: it's really uncomfortable that you can have a you know,
- 34:55Speaker 2: hypnosis can help that, or even just claustter phobia anxiety
- 34:59Speaker 2: sort of thing when you go you're an MRI and
- 35:00Speaker 2: you're trapped in that awful machine. My own mother got
- 35:06Speaker 2: her tooth extracted by using hypnosis, not mine, not me,
- 35:11Speaker 2: but yeah, yeah, not me, but yeah, she got her
- 35:17Speaker 2: tooth extracted by using the hypnosis tape over and over
- 35:21Speaker 2: an hour.
- 35:21Speaker 3: And would she say about that?
- 35:25Speaker 2: She was like worked like a charm. She didn't have
- 35:26Speaker 2: any pain at all.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Oh wow, wow, I'm I'm a big baby.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I need drugs for that.
- 35:32Speaker 3: How many past nurse bring all the drugs you got?
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if there's going to be a
- 35:38Speaker 1: lot of pain involved. Yeah, I don't know if i'd
- 35:40Speaker 1: want to take that chance. Actually, you know what, if
- 35:42Speaker 1: it doesn't work, then.
- 35:43Speaker 3: I'm monica, you are not a candidate. No, I mean
- 35:46Speaker 3: I love you, but yeah, I have a quick question
- 35:49Speaker 3: about what she said to Hannah. You said, uh, you
- 35:53Speaker 3: record a session, which I'm a big fan of because
- 35:55Speaker 3: I think a lot of times that even when you're
- 35:57Speaker 3: in talk therapy and you're trying to learn some thing
- 36:00Speaker 3: about yourself, something about you know, like you said, it
- 36:02Speaker 3: all goes back to childhood, right, I mean the majority
- 36:06Speaker 3: of everything. So you said I would send you home
- 36:09Speaker 3: with that. You listen to it, you know, go back
- 36:13Speaker 3: over it. Just the journey, just the journey. And then
- 36:16Speaker 3: you said, just the journey. I don't record the session. Oh,
- 36:19Speaker 3: just just that. I see what you're saying. Okay, yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 3: just the journey. And so then you said you would
- 36:24Speaker 3: come back and do a different journey. Is this a
- 36:27Speaker 3: different topic or the second session? Like, what is that
- 36:33Speaker 3: what you mean by a different journey?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Requestion? Great question. Sometimes people have multiple things they want
- 36:39Speaker 2: to work on, right, Sometimes they bite their nails and
- 36:43Speaker 2: they can't sleep. Sometimes they have childhood issues that they
- 36:47Speaker 2: need to get through. So we do inner child work. Nice. Okay,
- 36:50Speaker 2: So each time that you're with me, even if it's
- 36:52Speaker 2: the same issue, even if it's just biting your nails,
- 36:55Speaker 2: We'll do a different recorded journey each time.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Yeah, that's what I wanted to say. Like
- 37:00Speaker 3: when you said that, I didn't know if you went
- 37:02Speaker 3: back to the same one if we're not done working
- 37:04Speaker 3: on it. I'm sure that's an option too, But you
- 37:07Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, of course, Yeah, yeah, you can
- 37:09Speaker 3: listen through them all the time. Sure, but you do
- 37:11Speaker 3: move on, you do heal, So you don't really like
- 37:14Speaker 3: if we're in twelve sessions and you're still listening to
- 37:16Speaker 3: the second session, you don't need to. You've already kind
- 37:18Speaker 3: of moved on from them. Yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 4: I like that.
- 37:21Speaker 1: So what's the average number of sessions you need to
- 37:24Speaker 1: get through, sayty well smoking? Like, what is there an
- 37:30Speaker 1: average number that you think if you've gone well past this,
- 37:33Speaker 1: it's not working well for you, or it can test
- 37:37Speaker 1: take long. It just takes as long as it takes.
- 37:39Speaker 5: What's is there?
- 37:41Speaker 2: Great question? So depending on the person, honestly, and depending
- 37:47Speaker 2: on why they started smoking to begin with, sometimes it
- 37:51Speaker 2: can be very deep rute and you need like six
- 37:53Speaker 2: to twelve sessions. People with me usually quit between their
- 37:57Speaker 2: first session wow, which has happened like almost all of
- 38:02Speaker 2: my clients, to six, but it could take twelve, you know.
- 38:08Speaker 2: But it's the point is is I would rather spend
- 38:12Speaker 2: my money on saving my life than saying, oh, it's
- 38:18Speaker 2: just you know, you know one of these you know,
- 38:21Speaker 2: little parlor trick things that we can do on the internet.
- 38:24Speaker 2: If you're working with a professional, that's where you want
- 38:27Speaker 2: to spend your time, which is precious and whatever and money,
- 38:32Speaker 2: you know, because it's your health right. So I would
- 38:35Speaker 2: say between anywhere between one to twelve sessions. Yeah, but
- 38:40Speaker 2: people have stopped been you know, one or two sessions
- 38:43Speaker 2: with me. That's fascinating.
- 38:44Speaker 1: And do you get referrals from physicians or where does
- 38:48Speaker 1: most of your client? Teleco referrals from other patients or
- 38:51Speaker 1: you have physicians.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Who have you try it?
- 38:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but where does most of your client Where do
- 38:56Speaker 1: you get most of your clients.
- 38:58Speaker 2: All of the all of those. I'm in business groups
- 39:01Speaker 2: that I belong to, Chamber of Commerce. I have referrals
- 39:05Speaker 2: from psychiatrists, therapists. I have referrals from people who were like,
- 39:10Speaker 2: she helped me quit smoking in one session. You got
- 39:12Speaker 2: to go to her. I also have a free session
- 39:15Speaker 2: every Wednesday night at six thirty at my office VY
- 39:18Speaker 2: nine recliner chairs. Ye did you see that?
- 39:21Speaker 3: That was way back?
- 39:23Speaker 1: Oh wow, yep.
- 39:25Speaker 2: And they have they all have headphones on and I
- 39:27Speaker 2: do sound bath first and then I put them into
- 39:30Speaker 2: hypnosis and they get that recording as well, and I
- 39:32Speaker 2: record that and send to everybody that's there. And that's
- 39:36Speaker 2: just like a generic one. They'll like, we want to
- 39:38Speaker 2: work on manifesting love and money and health and whatever.
- 39:42Speaker 2: So but it's just to introduce people to hypnosis if
- 39:45Speaker 2: they've never experienced it before, so they can they cannot
- 39:48Speaker 2: be afraid of it.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Yeah, like dip your slowly.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 39:51Speaker 1: We need to plan our next trip to La Mom's
- 39:54Speaker 1: club event they're over there.
- 39:55Speaker 3: And that's Wednesday. I come see you in person. I
- 39:59Speaker 3: have a quick question for you. So I'm outing myself,
- 40:03Speaker 3: but listen, my whole life is on the internet at
- 40:05Speaker 3: this point after this mini shows with all everything. But
- 40:09Speaker 3: so you say procrastination, and that is a hot button
- 40:12Speaker 3: for me. I seem to be an expert at it
- 40:15Speaker 3: on some things in my life. And then you have
- 40:17Speaker 3: like quit smoking or not eat sugar. So one is
- 40:19Speaker 3: very tangible, right, and then the other and maybe not
- 40:22Speaker 3: so much. Is one harder than the other, because, like
- 40:26Speaker 3: you know, eating sugar is an actual act, smoking is
- 40:29Speaker 3: an actual act. Procrastination can be defined in many ways.
- 40:34Speaker 3: I'm just using myself my own problems.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Now, I really want you to fix this because she's
- 40:39Speaker 1: on the Mom's club with I. She procrastinates all it's hard. Oh,
- 40:43Speaker 1: let's get this fixed, all right, Let's sorry, I get by. Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 1: that's a good one. Tell us about procrastination.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Constination usually stems from limiting belief or self worth, or
- 40:53Speaker 2: not thinking that you're that you should be, you know,
- 40:57Speaker 2: successful at what you're doing. It's also could be trauma
- 41:01Speaker 2: from childhood. It's very task oriented, so maybe if you
- 41:05Speaker 2: didn't do chores, you were punished. And it could also
- 41:09Speaker 2: be something that is, you know, very very sudden, oncoming
- 41:15Speaker 2: thing like you know, you have to do this. You
- 41:17Speaker 2: do everything else on time, but there's this one thing, right,
- 41:21Speaker 2: and so that's that's that is self sabotage and and
- 41:25Speaker 2: that is rectified by action. Is motivation not the other
- 41:30Speaker 2: way around.
- 41:30Speaker 3: Wow. That so that was fascinating what you just said.
- 41:34Speaker 3: It's mainly the first thing that you just said about
- 41:37Speaker 3: self worth.
- 41:38Speaker 1: No, I love that answer, and yeah, now I shouldn't criticize.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Yeah, now, did you feel bad?
- 41:46Speaker 2: I feel terrible. Actually, that's why I'm here.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I think you've gained a new client.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Sitting right here.
- 41:54Speaker 2: For sure, you each get free you each get a
- 41:57Speaker 2: free session.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Well actually on your list. I think we can cover
- 42:01Speaker 1: all of it between the two of us. Yeah, except that, No, one,
- 42:03Speaker 1: I don't bat my nails. That's the only I think
- 42:05Speaker 1: you don't need to worry about that. Oh, we don't smoke.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Unless you started smoking and vaping then I'm just not
- 42:10Speaker 1: aware of it. Okay, next question, Okay, oh sorry, okay,
- 42:13Speaker 1: well yeah, we need that taken care of too for somebody.
- 42:16Speaker 2: No, well that's great. Well, so, Suzanne, so you do some.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Online, you do in person? Tell us where our audience
- 42:22Speaker 1: can find you, either as a client in LA or

- 42:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so I have an online presence obviously, which is
- 42:33Speaker 2: you know, they can find me and set up a
- 42:37Speaker 2: session whenever, you know, I have time in my schedule
- 42:41Speaker 2: for them, of course, and first session is always eighty minutes.
- 42:46Speaker 2: It's a discovery session and then you kind of you know,
- 42:48Speaker 2: establish trust and rapport and then every session after that
- 42:51Speaker 2: is a fifty minute therapy hour which includes talk therapy
- 42:55Speaker 2: and also hypnosis, and they can find me online h
