- 1:51the end. We love you, King Jesus.
- 1:53It's all about you. King Jesus, we worship you in
- 1:57spirit and truth. Come and get your glory.
- 2:01Teach us. Holy Spirit, I decrease as you
- 2:04increase and it's in Jesus Christ, holy and precious and
- 2:07powerful name that I pray, Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 2:17Then again, Abraham took a wife, and her name was Katura.
- 2:21So here we see that Sarah's dead, and here Abraham is.
- 2:26And we see that after Isaac has already married Rebecca, we see
- 2:32that Abraham is going to take himself a concubine two.
- 2:40And she bore him Zimram, Jackson, Midden Midian,
- 2:43Neshbach, and Shua. And Jackson begat Sheba and
- 2:48Didan. And the sons of Didan were
- 2:50Ashram and Lechem and Lemon, and the sons of Millionetta, and
- 2:55Iffir, Hanak, Abidah, and these were the children of Quetera.
- 3:01So we see here that Abraham had eight sons in total.
- 3:04There was Ishmael, and then we know that he had Isaac, the son
- 3:09of promise. And then here by Katura he had
- 3:12six sons, 5 And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.
- 3:18So what a slap in the face to these six sons.
- 3:21And we know that he's already sent Ishmael off, and he was the
- 3:27son of Hagar the Egyptian slave. 6 But unto the sons of the
- 3:34concubine which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent
- 3:38them away from Isaac his son, which while he yet lived
- 3:42eastward unto the E country. So even though he had these six
- 3:47sons by Katura, they were not to be the children of the promise
- 3:54of God. 7 And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life,
- 3:59which he lived 175 years. 8 And Abraham gave up the ghost, and
- 4:06he died in a good old age, an old man full of years, and was
- 4:11gathered to his people. So this is what you need to
- 4:17know, that Abraham was the friend of God and he lived a
- 4:21long and prosperous life. And some people do not get the
- 4:25privilege of growing old. And you see here that Abraham
- 4:29was a very blessed and honored and privileged man. 9 And his
- 4:35sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in The Cave of Makbila, in
- 4:40the field of Ephron, the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is
- 4:44before Mamre. So here we see Ishmael come back
- 4:49on the scene to bury his father. What an amazing thought is that
- 4:53Isaac and Ishmael together burying father Abraham. 10 The
- 5:01field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth, there was
- 5:05Abraham buried and and Sarah his wife.
- 5:09So you remember the story of whenever Abraham bought this
- 5:12cave that he buried Sarah in, and now that is where he is
- 5:17laid. And this sight is still in
- 5:20existence today, friends. 11 And it came to pass after the death
- 5:25of Abraham that God blessed his son Isaac, and Isaac dwelt by
- 5:30the land of Laha Roy. So we see all of God's promises
- 5:35channeled through Isaac and not through Ishmael or the six sons.
- 5:4312 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom
- 5:47Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, boar unto Abraham.
- 5:52So we're going to get to see the generations, the genealogy of
- 5:56Ishmael and his twelve sons. And we can see that Ishmael was
- 6:00a very blessed man. Even though he was not the son
- 6:04of promise, he was the son in the flesh.
- 6:06He still was a very blessed man. And God was going to multiply
- 6:11him into a mighty nation, friends, and it's still like
- 6:15that today. 13 And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael by
- 6:20their names according to the generations, the first born of
- 6:23Ishmael, Nabajah in Kedar and Abdul in mid sum. 14 in Mishma
- 6:30in Duma and Masa, 15 Hedar, Teema, Jetta, and Nafish in
- 6:37Kedama. 16 These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their
- 6:41names by their towns, by their castles. 12 Princess, according
- 6:45to their nations. So a blessed man Ishmael is, and
- 6:49he's he has these twelve sons, 17 And these are the years of
- 6:54the life of Ishmael, 137 years. He gave up the ghost and died,
- 6:59and was gathered to his people, 18 And they dwelt from Havallah
- 7:04to sure that is before Egypt, and they go towards Assyria.
- 7:09And he died in the presence of all his brothers.
- 7:14What an amazing thought this is that the father of the Muslim
- 7:18world friends is connected to father Abraham 19 And these are
- 7:23the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son Isaac had Abraham
- 7:28had Isaac 20 and Isaac was 40 years old when he took Rebecca
- 7:33to wife, the daughter of Beth Ewell the the Syrian of Padam
- 7:38Aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian 21 And Isaac entreated
- 7:43the Lord for his wife because she was barren, and the Lord was
- 7:47entreated of him and Rebecca his wife conceived.
- 7:50So Isaac prayed unto God and asked God to give them the
- 7:55promised seed that God had already spoke to Adam and Eve
- 8:02about passed on through the line all the way here to Isaac.
- 8:09This head crusher would come through their line.
- 8:13And that is what is at stake. This is not missed upon Isaac,
- 8:19that the promises of God all the way back in the garden of the
- 8:24seed that would be bruised, but that would crush Satan's head
- 8:28would come through him. And so let's see what Isaac has
- 8:32to say. He's begging God and saying, God
- 8:35give us children. And God heard his cry, and she
- 8:39did conceive. 22 And the children struggled together
- 8:43within her. And she said, If it be so, why
- 8:46am I this? And she went to inquire of the
- 8:49Lord. She could not figure out why
- 8:51there was so much turmoil within her womb. 23 And the Lord said
- 8:59to her, Two nations are in your womb, and two manner of people
- 9:04shall be separated from your bowels, and the one people shall
- 9:09be stronger than the other people, and the older shall
- 9:14serve the younger. This is a flipping of the script
- 9:18and God can do anything and you cannot put him in a box.
- 9:22Friends, this is upsetting the entire flow of the lineage here.
- 9:28And he's saying that Esau is going to serve Jake Jacob.
- 9:33And Jacob is the nation Israel that is still in existence
- 9:38today. Friends and Esau's people group
- 9:40have gone by the wayside and they're no longer a people group
- 9:44anymore. And you can see here in this
- 9:47prophetic timeline why the Jews are so incredibly favored even
- 9:52unto this day. Friends, do not miss it.
- 9:56It is happening underneath your nose.
- 9:59And if we fall into the trap of anti-Semitism, if we fall into
- 10:03the trap of saying that the Jews of today are not the Jews of the
- 10:07Bible, and which Jews are you talking about, and you get all
- 10:11turned around, friends, it is a satanic attack upon this very
- 10:16group. Because Satan knows that his
- 10:18head is going to be crushed through this line, friends, and
- 10:22Jesus Christ will be the one to slay him and to throw him into
- 10:28the lake of fire, never to return again. 24 And when her
- 10:36days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were
- 10:40twins in her womb. 25 In the first came out red all over,
- 10:47like a hairy garment, and they called his name Esau, because he
- 10:52was red and hairy. 26 And after that came his brother out, and
- 10:58his hand took hold of Esau's heel, and his name was called
- 11:02Jacob. And Isaac was 3 score years old
- 11:07when she bore them. So you can see here this heel
- 11:11catcher, Jacob, this trickster, he comes out holding on to the
- 11:16heel of his red hairy brother. 27 And the boys grew, and he saw
- 11:22was a cunning hunter, a man of the field, and Jacob was a plain
- 11:27man dwelling in tents. This plain man is the same word
- 11:34to describe Job. He was blameless, friends, and
- 11:38we could see that from the world's point of view, Esau was
- 11:45the first born. Esau was the manly man.
- 11:48He would have been the first choice of how the world
- 11:51operates. But in the spiritual realm,
- 11:54friends, God does not work and operate in the same way that we
- 11:59do. Never forget that God will send
- 12:02troops away so that whenever the victory comes, He is the one who
- 12:07gets all the glory, and man can take no credit for it. 28 And
- 12:16Isaac loved Esau because he did eat of his venison, but Rebecca
- 12:22loved Jacob. So here this is this parental
- 12:26favoritism upon these boys. And Isaac loved Esau because he
- 12:31was a manly man. And then this mama's boy, this
- 12:35heel catcher, Jacob will become the father of Israel even to
- 12:41this day. 29 And Jacob's saw pottage, and Esau came from the
- 12:47field, and he was faint. 30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I
- 12:54pray you, with that same red pottage, for I am faint.
- 12:58Therefore was his name called Edom the Edomites, and they are
- 13:02of no longer friends. They were destroyed, and they
- 13:06were overtaken, and they are of no longer any repute.
- 13:12And you can see here, friends, that Jacob was cooking, and he
- 13:18had in his mind that he wanted the birthright, but it was
- 13:22already his before he was even born.
- 13:24And we know that the Bible tells us that Jacob I loved, but Esau
- 13:29I hated. And we also know that the Bible
- 13:32tells us that Esau had a root of bitterness and that he cared
- 13:38nothing for the spiritual and that it was only Jacob who was
- 13:42trying to move within his own mind.
- 13:47It is his own understanding. And that is why he had to pay
- 13:53and had to work for so long. And we'll find that out as time
- 13:57goes on, friends, is that we do not need to outpace God or we do
- 14:01not need to manufacture our own destiny.
- 14:05We wait upon the Lord. We wait on the Lord's timing
- 14:09just in the same way that David did, and he would not slay Saul
- 14:14in The Cave when he had the opportunity to.
- 14:17And that is what it looks like, friends, to properly wait upon
- 14:20God's timing for all things. And the greatest work is done in
- 14:24the waiting. Never forget that. 31 And Jacob
- 14:31said, sell me this day your birthright. 32 And Esau said,
- 14:35Behold, I'm at the point to die. What profits it me to have the
- 14:41birthright? 33 And Jacob said swear to me
- 14:45this day, and he swore to him. And he sold his birthright to
- 14:49Jacob. It was already his to begin
- 14:52with, he did not need to try and get it himself.
- 14:56But nonetheless this sealed the deal.
- 14:59It shows you the character. And I need you to know
- 15:02something, friend. There are a lot of people who
- 15:05are trying their hardest. They're trying their best.
- 15:08They're working within all of their own strength and
- 15:12understanding. And it is as if God is distant
- 15:16from them because he knows that in the end, they're going to be
- 15:19offended and they're going to fall away because he did not
- 15:22operate in the way that they thought that he should.
- 15:25And there are many today who care nothing for the things of
- 15:28God. And God is close to them and God
- 15:31is actually near to them and protecting them.
- 15:33And it is because God already knows that they're going to
- 15:36surrender and they're going to do mighty things for Him out of
- 15:40the love that they have, because those that have been forgiven of
- 15:43much love much. And I need you to know, it's not
- 15:46for us to try to play God and to try to pick and choose who does
- 15:51and who doesn't belong to him. This is God's business, friends.
- 15:55And we do not tell God how He should operate or what He should
- 15:59do because you cannot put God in a box.
- 16:02And He knew before these children were even born, when
- 16:05they were still in the womb, what their character was going
- 16:08to be. And you can see that the very
- 16:11thing that he said was going to happen, happen.
- 16:13And it's always that way because God lives outside of time.
- 16:17He is the alpha and the Omega friends.
- 16:20And that is such a hard concept for our soda can size.
- 16:23Mind will end on 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of
- 16:29lentils, and he ate, and he drank, and he rose up, and he
- 16:32went his way. And thus Esau despised his
- 16:35birthright. Whether God gave it to him, or
- 16:40whether Jacob healed, caught, and took it from him, either
- 16:43way, it belonged to Jacob and we still have the nation Israel in
- 16:49existence today. Mainstream politics.
- 16:52You can't do nothing with them. You can't wipe them off the face
- 16:55of the earth. You can't annihilate them.
- 16:57Friends, they're here to stay and they will be in the fold.
- 17:01They will come in in the same way that we had to, and they'll
- 17:06eventually recognize that they murdered their Messiah and they
- 17:10will place their full trust in Jesus Christ.
- 17:14And it'll be a glorious day when God meets them on the road to
- 17:19Damascus and the scales fall off their eyes and they see all of
- 17:24the background from Genesis to Malachi, and they get to see
- 17:28Yeshua in the way that we have friends with our limited
- 17:34knowledge of the things of the Jews.
- 17:37What an amazing thought. I pray that you've been blessed
- 17:40by this awesome chapter in God's Word.
- 17:43I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 17:46of you. I love you.
- 17:48We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 17:50God bless you.
