- 0:09episode of Fanatically Speaking, a bonus episode.
- 0:13I am Kent, the co -host and promoter. I am Log
- 0:16Off, the Log Off legend, the hater of social
- 0:18media. I'm the co -host and producer of the show.
- 0:21And again, like I said, it is a bonus episode.
- 0:24I know we've had some long episodes, short episodes,
- 0:26but this is just one topic. Yeah, one topic.
- 0:29And it's kind of the flavor of the moment right
- 0:32now. It's the unveiling of the NBA gambling.
- 0:37you know, scandal that's going on with a few
- 0:40key players and key names involved. And, you
- 0:43know, I think we were a little ahead of this.
- 0:45We had our gambling episode a few weeks ago.
- 0:48Correct. And, you know, we we touched on some
- 0:50of the goings on and actually a couple of the
- 0:52players that were arrested within this federal,
- 0:56you know, sting. So I'm just going to give just
- 0:58some quick backstory on it. You know, a lot of
- 1:00the details, if you're listening to this, chances
- 1:02are you already know. So there were 34 people
- 1:05charged. an NBA slash poker gambling cases. The
- 1:12big names that that are included in this is Chauncey
- 1:15Billups, Terry Rozier. And so the interesting
- 1:19thing about the allegations is that it's wide
- 1:22ranging, is ranging from actual bets that have
- 1:27been placed by. you know, co conspirators on
- 1:31behalf of players, you know, inside information
- 1:34being shared from coaches, front office executives,
- 1:37things of that nature. And then what I guess
- 1:40the baffling part, the thing that confused me
- 1:42about this coming down was that there was this
- 1:45gambling aspect which which which involved poker
- 1:49games that is kind of tied and connected to it
- 1:53when I don't think it really fits. I mean, is
- 1:56that is that fair to say? can't yeah we talked
- 1:59about it i don't i don't know i think it's just
- 2:02thrown in there because i think during the investigation
- 2:05they found that nba players are playing these
- 2:08high -stake poker games that's connected to the
- 2:11mafia and there may be some you know illegal
- 2:16or whatever you i don't know if it's illegal
- 2:18well apparently it is but grabbing regular people
- 2:21into these games so they can be uh cheated on
- 2:24cheated by the mafia Got it. And like I said,
- 2:27and I think the part that I think the part that
- 2:30confused me is, OK, what crimes actually were
- 2:34committed? And I actually had to do some some
- 2:36looking into it. There's in terms of enforcement
- 2:41of gambling, meaning Kent, you come over to my
- 2:45home, there's four other guys, six guys were
- 2:48playing poker and we bet money. The cops aren't
- 2:51going to kick in your door for that, regardless
- 2:53of the amount. unless there's some sort of shenanigans
- 2:56or, you know, devious behavior going on where
- 3:00you are conspiring to take money from people.
- 3:03And I think that's what happened here. Where
- 3:06when you look into just kind of the breakdown
- 3:09of what was happening within the gambling space,
- 3:13how there were Chauncey Billups, at least, has
- 3:16been accused of kind of reeling people with money.
- 3:20and celebrities into poker games. So that way
- 3:24they can be taken advantage of with, I think
- 3:27you mentioned like x -ray glasses and just tables
- 3:30where they can see what your cards are, what
- 3:32hands are being played. It's literal cheating.
- 3:35But the interesting thing about it is that like
- 3:38Chauncey Billups, for example, his actual charges
- 3:41are for wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering.
- 3:45So that was the connection that they had to make
- 3:48to the gambling. in order to arrest him for something.
- 3:53And for the most part, and I don't know if anyone
- 3:54wants to get too deep into this, but the reason
- 3:59why gambling is such a big deal is because when
- 4:02you gamble outside of the normal scope of gambling
- 4:05and big money is being exchanged, you aren't
- 4:09paying taxes on it. That's how they get you.
- 4:12So the wire fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering,
- 4:15all that really just means is that, hey, the
- 4:17government wasn't aware that you were exchanging
- 4:19these large amounts of money, and we want our
- 4:22cut. Yeah. And again, the larger amount, things
- 4:26like that, that's going to set off red flags
- 4:28alerts so that, you know, and again, when you
- 4:31start saying mafia, NBA players, celebrities,
- 4:36big time money, again, that draws the attention.
- 4:40Yeah, it draws the attention and I have a bigger
- 4:46take that I want to get to and I'll land on this
- 4:48at the very end, but this particular announcement
- 4:54was a relatively large circus and I think it
- 4:59was intended to do that. It was a little disappointing.
- 5:04I wasn't aware of it. I was at work and you and
- 5:08you know, You were in a group chat with me, and
- 5:11you were kind of sending me the information about
- 5:13it. I was expecting something bigger. As everyone
- 5:15wants to behave as if this is a big, big deal,
- 5:18and they're saying, oh, well, there's more things
- 5:20coming. If these are the biggest names that you
- 5:23have, Chauncey Billups, great player, as a player,
- 5:26champion. Oh, yeah. You know, now NBA coach Terry
- 5:30Rozier. OK, you know, decent sized NBA name,
- 5:36but. That's not, to me, it's not enough. And
- 5:41I felt like the pageantry that was lended to
- 5:44the announcement for this was as if they were
- 5:47actually really stopping some crime, but it's
- 5:51not. It's like, oh, okay, guys are gambling.
- 5:53Look, I don't like cheaters. I don't like people
- 5:55to cheat and manipulate and take money from people.
- 5:58You know, the the the links that they were going
- 6:00to to scheme money away from people certainly
- 6:03bothers me. But to me, it just didn't seem like
- 6:06that big of a deal, especially to say that every
- 6:09single major sports organization is now tied
- 6:13to some sort of legalized gambling. These are
- 6:17the things that happen when people are betting
- 6:19money. Sorry. True. But then there's a whole
- 6:23nother level. And again, Jontay Porter, we mentioned
- 6:26in a previous episode. Again, right now he's
- 6:27banned from the NBA for gambling within the game.
- 6:32Terry Rozier, his crimes are a little more sport
- 6:38related, right? Where he is allegedly having
- 6:44like 30 some bets placed on the under of him
- 6:47playing or minutes or points. And he's missing
- 6:51shots on purpose, allegedly looking like, if
- 6:53you watch the video, he's passing to the other
- 6:56team. Looks like he never played basketball before.
- 6:58And then again, removing himself from a game
- 7:01early. So those big bets that were placed, those
- 7:06weird, strange bets that were just placed on
- 7:08him, so many would go through and win. So Terry
- 7:12Rozier, we could talk about Billups. Now that
- 7:15I've heard you explain and I've read all the
- 7:19charges against him, probably, does he get fired
- 7:23if this all goes through? Maybe, does he get
- 7:25suspended? Maybe. The NFL, they only, they suspend
- 7:30guys a year for gambling within the game or however
- 7:34that works. So the NBA, Jontay Porter, right
- 7:37now he's banned. I would expect Terry Rozier,
- 7:39this is like Pete Rose level. Right. This is
- 7:43this is point -shaven. This is fixing games on
- 7:46performance I would expect Terry Rozier to get
- 7:49a Lifetime ban. Okay, and I agree with that especially
- 7:53to say that his his investigation has been extensive
- 7:56because they've been looking into him for months
- 7:59and You know, it's kind of weird because he was
- 8:02always a great player. Like he was one of those
- 8:05guys It's like, okay, he can perform and then
- 8:08all of a sudden everything kind of went soured
- 8:10for him Yeah, and then the allegations came out
- 8:13and then it's like, okay Well, we have to put
- 8:16you on the couch for a bit So so for Terry Rosier
- 8:19and and I'm and this isn't a knock on you know
- 8:21him as a as a player but I think the difference
- 8:25with him and Pete Rose is that Pete Rose was
- 8:28a massive star and You know on a huge huge name
- 8:33within baseball True and Terry Rosier is not
- 8:36that so I feel I feel like this was like a collaborative
- 8:39effort To get everything kind of thrown together
- 8:42to make this look like and we've seen this before
- 8:45publicly You know, we could talk about police
- 8:47departments and FBI where it's like we're gonna
- 8:50make We're gonna make this as big of a deal as
- 8:53we can to really draw attention to ourselves
- 8:56but the amounts of money that they're talking
- 8:59about it's really not a lot of money and And
- 9:03I think if this is one of these things that is
- 9:06being brought up to truly right the wrong, I
- 9:09don't have a problem with it. If people were
- 9:11skimmed and scammed out of money and you've got
- 9:13mafia ties and things like that, it gets a little
- 9:16hairy. But as long as the victims can get their
- 9:20money back, I'm okay. If Chauncey Billups has
- 9:23to go to jail for that, that's fine. If people
- 9:26were actual victims of having money schemed away
- 9:29from them when they think it's a fair game and
- 9:30it's not, then I just want to make sure that
- 9:33we keep those people in mind. Because, you know,
- 9:35as much coverage as this is going to get, there's
- 9:38a lot of people who are going to make money on
- 9:41this being released. And I just want to make
- 9:43sure that the victims make sure that they get
- 9:45reimbursed. Yeah, of course. I mean, you know,
- 9:48Terry Rozier has made millions. Billups has made
- 9:50millions. I would assume they're not hurting
- 9:53too bad. Then we didn't even bring up Damon Jones
- 9:57Allegedly, you know a former player and now it
- 10:00was like an assistant coach recently So he was
- 10:03giving out information about LeBron James not
- 10:05playing so placed the bet on the Bucs in one
- 10:08game Again, you can't have that within the sport,
- 10:11especially with the gambling You can't have fixing
- 10:14games fixing performances the over the unders.
- 10:18That's the stuff and like you said, maybe It
- 10:21was made bigger, maybe it's made bigger so we
- 10:23don't continue having this. No, Roger is not
- 10:28a big name as Pete Rose, but in the sense of
- 10:32cheating the game to fix it, that's where I make
- 10:36the comparison. But again, we've got baseball
- 10:40players right now that are on leave for throwing
- 10:44balls 100 feet outside the strike zone. But just
- 10:49so happened a random bet was also placed on you
- 10:52know His performance so it's the stuff like that
- 10:56that raises the red flags You mentioned the government
- 11:00the feds getting involved This is not the first
- 11:02time that the government got involved in sports
- 11:04and cheating scandals Obviously the steroid cases
- 11:09that were brought to Washington I thought were
- 11:12ridiculous because I'm just like they spent millions
- 11:15of dollars on these investigations into baseball
- 11:17players using steroids and I was like why does
- 11:20the government care that baseball players are
- 11:22cheating or using steroids I'm not gonna say
- 11:25cheating because when they were using them it
- 11:28wasn't cheating because the the league knew about
- 11:30it no one they would just turn in you know turn
- 11:33in a blind eye so But yeah, I was confused while
- 11:36we had to watch, you know, McGuire, Palmeiro,
- 11:39Sosa go up there and have that circus go on.
- 11:43And as you mentioned, the news conference the
- 11:45other day, kind of not that level of circus,
- 11:49I don't think, because if everyone remembers
- 11:52when Palmeiro, Sosa, McGuire were there. in Washington,
- 11:56you know, it was it was kind of funny. No, you
- 11:58know, you know, I'm so glad you said that because
- 12:01right. And I mean this think about is, I mean,
- 12:05from the McGuire Sosa back and forth, you know,
- 12:08Sosa claiming he couldn't speak English, you
- 12:11know, and but my Mero waving his finger. Yeah.
- 12:16Yeah. I to this day, when you say Mark McGuire,
- 12:20the first thing that comes to my mind is that
- 12:22visual of him sitting there in that suit. That's
- 12:24how I see him. I don't see him in a uniform.
- 12:27I don't see him at bat. I see my vision of him
- 12:30when you said that was him literally sitting
- 12:32with his hands in front of him wearing a suit
- 12:34and tie. Well, Paul Mero, I see waving his finger
- 12:37and Sammy Sosa. I do see him as, you know, not
- 12:42learning, you know, not knowing how to speak
- 12:44English anymore. But then also I also see him
- 12:47now as Count Dracula. So I was I was about to
- 12:51say that too. I will you say you see Sammy Sosa.
- 12:54I don't see Sammy Sosa anymore because he appears
- 12:57to be transparent. He changed his appearance
- 13:01completely totally different. He's like, hey,
- 13:03I don't want people to see me for who I really
- 13:05am anymore. He turned into a vampire. But yes,
- 13:08he did. But anyways, that's another that's a
- 13:09whole nother funny just just. funny stuff about
- 13:12Sammy Sosa. So again, the government's involved
- 13:16again in sports and again, it's this scandal.
- 13:20And again, it's not good for the league, but
- 13:22you mentioned the gambling. We talked about this
- 13:23before, the gambling that's promoted with sports
- 13:28now, the apps, it's everywhere. And again, you
- 13:32got this new like NBC, Amazon Prime, right? They're
- 13:35showing NBA games now. I believe Blake Griffin
- 13:38is on there. Correct me if I'm wrong. And he
- 13:42has a commercial now where he's placing bets
- 13:44on the app. So that's what we talked about. We
- 13:48talked about Tom Brady working for the network
- 13:51and being an apart owner. So now you got this
- 13:54gambling scandal going on. Meanwhile, I'm watching
- 13:57the NBA or anything on prom. I'm getting these
- 14:00Blake Griffin commercials where I'm like, well,
- 14:01you work for prom now. You're an analyst on the
- 14:03NBA games and you're openly on a commercial promote.
- 14:07You know, you're that you're betting on games.
- 14:09Yeah. And, and so in the list, not that he's
- 14:12doing anything wrong, but you see the optics
- 14:14of the optics of it. Well, well, and that's the
- 14:16thing. And I think that's where, I think that's
- 14:18where everything is so convoluted now. There's
- 14:27so many connections to so many different things
- 14:29that are going on and it's fantastic for the
- 14:32players I want Blake Griffin to be able to be
- 14:34in these commercials. I want him to be able to
- 14:36get these jobs and broadcasting but there's always
- 14:39going to be conflicts of interest and We don't
- 14:42typically think about conflict of interest conflicts
- 14:45of interest Until something goes completely sideways
- 14:49and we have to so even with the Brady thing It
- 14:53was like hey, you know, okay, so Brady's part
- 14:55owner of the Raiders That's not going to interfere
- 14:57with this job as a broadcaster. Sure enough,
- 15:00three weeks in, now you've got a Tom Brady scandal
- 15:04because there is a conflict. There's a lot of
- 15:06overlap. There's a lot of money at stake. And
- 15:09I want people to be able to kind of venture out
- 15:12and find the different ways that they can make
- 15:14money promoting things, endorsing things and
- 15:17being on shows. But the Damon Jones thing, I'll
- 15:21circle back and just kind of close this out just
- 15:23a little bit. Yeah. They actually have a text
- 15:27message that Damon Jones sent. And I'll read
- 15:31this verbatim from this from the CBS News article.
- 15:34The indictment alleges that Jones sent a text
- 15:36message to a co -conspirator February 9th, 2023,
- 15:40a couple years ago, saying get a big bet on Milwaukee
- 15:45tonight before the information is out. And then
- 15:48it's redacted saying player three in quotes is
- 15:51out tonight. That just so happens to be LeBron
- 15:57James, who happened to be out that night. By
- 16:00the way, Damon Jones, former teammate of LeBron
- 16:03James. So there's a huge connection there, but
- 16:07they have actual literal proof of him passing
- 16:10tips off, or alleged proof of him passing tips
- 16:14off to people to place bets. That's something
- 16:16that's totally different. But it just, it just
- 16:20seems as if they're trying to make this a bigger
- 16:22deal than what it actually is. You know, I mean,
- 16:25again, there were over 30 people arrested in
- 16:27this probe. You know, lots of people, all of
- 16:30them New York centric, it seems to be. So, you
- 16:33know, it's interesting to see. And actually there
- 16:35are some people outside of there, you know, just
- 16:37kind of scattered. And I think that's what makes
- 16:38it federal as well. You reach a certain dollar
- 16:41amount. And once these crimes just, for people
- 16:44who don't know, once a crime crosses state lines,
- 16:47now it reaches into federal territory. And that's
- 16:51where the wire fraud and money laundering come
- 16:54into play because you're moving money from one
- 16:56place to the next. and it's crossing state lines.
- 17:00And now it's like, okay, well, because we can't
- 17:02have a case in North Carolina and Georgia, now
- 17:05the federal team can pick it up and make this
- 17:08a big, you know, dog and pony show. And the only
- 17:10other thing I'm gonna throw at this is, and that's
- 17:13good information to know for every, you know,
- 17:15that makes it, again, that's why we're getting
- 17:17what we're getting, I think. The other part of
- 17:19this is, you know, I think we mentioned in the
- 17:22text chain as well, you know, Jalen Brown, he
- 17:24came out talking about the NBA needs to protect
- 17:26the players. from some of this stuff, which I
- 17:29would assume he's talking about the mafia doing
- 17:31threats. I can't imagine he's talking about like,
- 17:35I don't, I don't know if Roger got threatened.
- 17:37I don't know any, we don't know anything like
- 17:38that. Why he was doing what he was doing or why
- 17:41guys do this anyways in any sport that they would
- 17:45cheat to, to, to rig the game, which we've seen
- 17:48it though with referees. We've mentioned that
- 17:50before they're all human. So, you know, and money
- 17:53and greed and things like that come into play.
- 17:55but i mean what protection the nba i don't know
- 17:58that they can offer protection from the mafia
- 17:59i think it's the government that right now they're
- 18:02on the case right so i think they're gonna have
- 18:05to look a little more into this mafia stuff because
- 18:07that's their job and the feds and things like
- 18:10that if this is something that is going to be
- 18:14a problem going forward that millionaire celebrity
- 18:18athletes or coaches are being pressured some
- 18:23way or another to make these bets or poker games
- 18:27to cheat people. I think that's the issue there.
- 18:30That's why I said I didn't agree with Jalen Brown,
- 18:32because I'm like, man, these are grown men. They
- 18:34know what's right and wrong. They know they can't
- 18:36fix games. You can't fix the spread. You can't
- 18:39fix the over -under. You can't take yourself
- 18:41out of games knowingly that there's big bets
- 18:43placed on you. You can't, you know, air ball
- 18:46layups. like you've never played basketball before
- 18:49and passed to the other things like that that
- 18:52were going on that happened in a game, but not
- 18:54as much as it was happening with certain players.
- 18:57So I don't know what protection they need. I
- 19:00don't know what the NBA can do. I mean, Adam
- 19:02Silver is not exactly killing it right now in
- 19:05his job. So he's just got something else on his
- 19:08plate. And I also one thing I'm going to add
- 19:11is I don't think it was a coincidence that this
- 19:15story came out. The day of day after opening
- 19:18night of the NBA, you know everything a fantastic
- 19:22opening night. Yeah Yeah, everything everything
- 19:24is timed in the media when stories came out Yeah,
- 19:27when they come out and when of course arrests
- 19:29are made sir as well with the with the government
- 19:32everything's timed It was not a coincidence but
- 19:34NBA has you know, like you say it was a good
- 19:37opening night But unfortunately, this is gonna
- 19:39be a huge topic lucky for the Clippers and Kawhi
- 19:43Leonard and Steve Ballmer. It takes the heat
- 19:45off of them for a little while. And that's when
- 19:47that's where I was going to land the plane, man.
- 19:50I find it interesting that, you know, one of
- 19:53the richest human beings on the planet is roped
- 19:56into scandal where there's massive amount more
- 19:59money that was being wagered in this, you know,
- 20:01alleged gambling ring. You know, there's, you
- 20:04know, with actual literal contractual documentation,
- 20:08the I think the only difference between the Clippers,
- 20:11Kawhi, Steve Ballmer story. And this particular
- 20:15gambling probe with Chauncey Billups, Terry Rosier,
- 20:17Damon Jones. The only difference is that this
- 20:21one got all the news coverage. They got way more.
- 20:23Way more news coverage. The feds involve things
- 20:25like that. But I mean, both both stories. I mean,
- 20:28both both cases are you're cheating the game.
- 20:31Correct. You're cheating the game. You're cheating
- 20:34your contemporaries. You're cheating the other
- 20:37owners within the league. You have an unfair
- 20:41advantage. Now, the only difference is that with
- 20:44the Clippers, technically from everything that
- 20:46we've seen so far, there was no actual literal
- 20:49illegal activity. However, when you compare the
- 20:53two in terms of, I guess let's just say, integrity
- 20:57for the sport itself, Yes, I mean I think it's
- 21:00easy to say that it's a 1a and 1b It's right
- 21:03there right there and the last thing I'm gonna
- 21:05say in terms of you know The the gambling you
- 21:08mentioned the Jalen Brown comments and you know
- 21:10and protecting the players So I'm just gonna
- 21:13this is a hypothetical situation for anyone hearing
- 21:15this. I'm pulling this out of my ass This is
- 21:18just a hypothetical. Let's just say that player
- 21:21a nameless faceless player Who just makes we'll
- 21:25just pick a round number say ten million dollars
- 21:27a year He happens to be invited to a poker game
- 21:32that involves some, you know, unscrupulous characters,
- 21:36let's just say, but it's a poker game like any
- 21:39other poker game. Let's just say he bets a hand
- 21:42and let's just say he just happens to lose a
- 21:44quarter million dollars that he owes in gambling
- 21:47debts. Let's just say that group B, I'm not going
- 21:52to call them. Let's just say group B approaches
- 21:56player A and says, Hey, That quarter million
- 21:59dollars, don't worry about it. But here's what
- 22:02I want you to do for me instead. The other teammates,
- 22:05other guys that you know on other teams, when
- 22:07they come in to play the Knicks, have them come
- 22:09in and play our game too. $50 ,000 a hand, right?
- 22:13Bring them in, and that way what we'll do is
- 22:16we'll wipe off your debts. You don't owe us anything.
- 22:20End hypothetical situation. That's how this type
- 22:23of stuff can happen. It's super easy. And it's
- 22:26like, oh, wait, I don't have to, I don't have
- 22:28to pay you a quarter million dollars. It's like,
- 22:30oh, I do just invite some other guys to come
- 22:32in who already play poker. I mean, the gambling
- 22:34and everything takes places on the planes, you
- 22:37know, in between flights from game to game. We
- 22:40know this has happened since Jordan. This has
- 22:41happened since the eighties. None of this is
- 22:44new. One of the biggest gamblers. Yeah. One of
- 22:46the biggest gamblers. Yeah. Like historically.
- 22:49So You know just things to keep in mind. I'm
- 22:51not defending these guys actions I don't know
- 22:53what they did, but I just want to keep in mind
- 22:55who the actual victims in this situation Remains
- 22:58to be it's the people who lost money who got
- 23:01schemed and scammed out of their money So I just
- 23:03want to make sure that we keep that in mind We
- 23:05could talk about Chauncey and Rozier all we want
- 23:07but whatever happens when all this is done in
- 23:10the dust is settled Let's make sure that those
- 23:13guys get their money back whether it's to restitution
- 23:15or if they got to sue these guys personally to
- 23:17get their money back This is a podcast by fans
- 23:20for fans. Let's not get about the fans Yeah,
- 23:23we want to watch we want to watch we won't watch
- 23:26competitive basketball football baseball, whatever
- 23:29Yes, play just just give us your all we don't
- 23:32want to watch you, you know point shave No, the
- 23:34fans fans are the victims too. Yeah, we will
- 23:37know and we are and I mean and think about it
- 23:39You know when you know you talk about, you know
- 23:42guys sitting out and I now my question is is
- 23:45I would love to look at the data You know load
- 23:48management and I'll say this I had a Friend of
- 23:52mine who lived out of state who traveled into
- 23:55Charlotte and it was a game that just so happened
- 23:57to have the Lakers This is a couple years ago,
- 24:00and he really wanted to go I mean he was he's
- 24:03literally from you know a deep part of the south
- 24:06that didn't have a professional sports team And
- 24:08he was asking me he's like what do you think
- 24:09the chances of LeBron James is playing tonight?
- 24:12I want to see him play live He hesitated because
- 24:16his, you know, his injury was listed as questionable.
- 24:18Now, LeBron was an older player then he literally
- 24:21missed. And it turns out LeBron James did play,
- 24:23but he didn't want to run the risk of buying
- 24:25a ticket to a game and then have LeBron not play.
- 24:28So, you know, these are the types of things.
- 24:29I'm curious what happens data wise when players
- 24:33now all of a sudden there's a probe in to guys
- 24:36sitting out, guys leaving games early, guys not
- 24:39playing in games and the bets and the correlation.
- 24:44to see whether or not there's a connection to
- 24:47some of these, and we're talking big name players
- 24:49who just happen to be sitting. These are the
- 24:52types of things that people are gonna start looking
- 24:54into and you're gonna find a correlation of,
- 24:57wow, it's very suspicious that these bets come
- 25:00in and these players aren't playing. You're right.
- 25:03It'd be interesting. I know they're looking into
- 25:05a lot of stuff. They said these bets pop up.
- 25:07It would probably be good to look into that as
- 25:10well. Yeah, so that's another episode a bonus
- 25:18episode of fanatically speaking the gambling
- 25:22scandal going on in the nba I am kent the co
- 25:25-host and promoter. I am log off the log off
- 25:28legend hater of social media I'm the co -host
- 25:31from producer of the show. Yeah, this is just
- 25:33something we wanted to throw together It was
- 25:35a huge story. There's going to be more details
- 25:38that come out. And the rumblings is that this
- 25:41is just kind of the beginning of it, that there's
- 25:43going to be more allegations that come out. For
- 25:45me, if I had to give it a grade, I'd probably,
- 25:48out of one out of 10, I'd probably give this
- 25:49news a six. It matters. But to me, I don't think
- 25:53I think the coverage of it made it a bigger deal
- 25:55than what it was supposed to be. But this was
- 25:57something that was like, no, dude, we got to
- 25:59jump on. Let's just make an episode. So this
- 26:01is a bonus episode content that we'll throw up
- 26:03this week for you. And, you know, make sure to
- 26:06keep checking all of our socials, Facebook, TikTok,
- 26:09Instagram, follow, like, share, review, comment.
- 26:13Yeah, keep listening to the normal episodes.
- 26:16This is a bonus one again. And I think we'll
- 26:18be doing this probably in the future. Just, you
- 26:20know, if there's a hot topic going on, we can
- 26:22get it out there. We're going to get it out.
- 26:24Yeah. If I'm not either working or, you know,
- 26:26cooking food, yeah, we can jump on and throw
- 26:29another bonus episode out there. So yeah, man,
- 26:32that's all I got. You got anything else? Nope.
- 26:34That's it. All right. Yep. Let's kill it.
