- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Episode 168, can you believe it? Lucas: I know. And today we're going to talk about time. Specifically, how to say today, tomorrow, and yesterday in Telugu. Luna: Oh, that's useful. I can already say days of the week, but not these time words. Lucas: Exactly. So let's start with 'today'. In Telugu, 'today' is ఈ రోజు. Luna: ఈ రోజు. Lucas: Good. ఈ రోజు. Repeat it once more. Luna: ఈ రోజు. Lucas: Now 'tomorrow' is రేపు. Luna: రేపు. Lucas: And 'yesterday' is నిన్న. Luna: నిన్న. Lucas: Great. Let's put these with days. You already know the days. So if today is Monday, we say ఈ రోజు సోమవారం. Luna: ఈ రోజు సోమవారం. That means 'today is Monday'. Lucas: Exactly. And tomorrow is Tuesday: రేపు మంగళవారం. Luna: రేపు మంగళవారం. Lucas: And yesterday was Sunday: నిన్న ఆదివారం. Luna: నిన్న ఆదివారం. Lucas: You've got it. So let's practice. I'll say a day, and you say the sentence with today, tomorrow, or yesterday. For example, if I say Monday, you say ఈ రోజు సోమవారం. Ready? Luna: Ready. Lucas: Monday. Luna: ఈ రోజు సోమవారం. Lucas: Tuesday. Luna: రేపు మంగళవారం. Lucas: Sunday. Luna: నిన్న ఆదివారం. Lucas: Perfect. Now I want you to try a full sentence. Say 'today is Wednesday'. Luna: ఈ రోజు బుధవారం. Lucas: Yes. And 'tomorrow is Thursday'? Luna: రేపు గురువారం. Lucas: Excellent. You can use these for any day. So let's say 'yesterday was Saturday'. Luna: నిన్న శనివారం. Lucas: There you go. So let's review the three time words: ఈ రోజు, రేపు, నిన్న. Luna: ఈ రోజు, రేపు, నిన్న. Lucas: And sample sentences: ఈ రోజు సోమవారం, రేపు మంగళవారం, నిన్న ఆదివారం. Luna: Got it. These are really handy. I can already say what day it is. Lucas: And this is a great little set. Now, before we wrap up, Luna, if listeners find these episodes helpful, there's a way to support the show.
