- 0:00[SPEAKER_06]: Hello, citizens.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_06]: This is dead bug, friend, lover, father, father of many, actually, and some of them are from those godless third world countries, and I got to support them all.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_06]: Wow, not the ones from the godless third world countries, just, you know, that course can't touch me.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_06]: But nevertheless, the other ones I got to, I got to divvy up some money sometimes, and you can help me sign up to my patron.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_06]: where you get hundreds of my podcasts and three times as many of my films and you won't be disappointed.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_06]: No, sorry, Bob.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_06]: And I also sent you intimate photos when I'm drunk.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_06]: So what are you waiting for?
- 0:37[SPEAKER_06]: I'll see you all over there.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_06]: God bless each and every one of you.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_06]: Well, except for you's from those godless nations.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_06]: Well, don't mention, but your money is still good.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, and remember, with each hundredth sign-up, I'm gonna buy one of my kids, a pack of smokes, and maybe even get them vaccinated.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_06]: I thank you.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_06]: But remember, you scalli wags, my content ain't for the fainter heart, and it certainly isn't for children.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_06]: So if you're ready to proceed, I would ask if you, one thing, that is to dim the lights, shut that pleasure given me the yours up.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_06]: Smoke em if you got him, and enjoy.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_06]: Something we all experience at one point in our lives, a feeling of being at a control, needing something so bad, we are no longer in control of our common sense, addictive, often fleeting, a selfish emotion that can lead to shame, and regret.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_06]: was a wise man who once said that lust has no horns, but make no mistake.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_06]: Lust is the devil.
- 2:56[UNKNOWN]: to be escorted.
- 2:58[UNKNOWN]: They are their bodies.
- 3:02[UNKNOWN]: They are sucks.
- 3:06[UNKNOWN]: They are too close.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_06]: And that was the co-ed killer Ed Kemper explaining why he couldn't get a date to the prom.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_06]: And this is last crime, so my name is Deadbuck, and I'm here with my tasty co-host, Jasmine St. Clair.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_06]: Some of whom I'm pretty sure had no problems getting a date for the prom.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_06]: A woman I'd like to meet to, me three, and me four, Jasmine, how are you?
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: Everything is great.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so excited for today's episode.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_03]: Really excited.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, me too.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_06]: Me too.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, Jazz, I just realized is we're about to start that this episode of Lost Crimes has a common theme.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_06]: And that is dismemberment.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, something I know how to do by the way.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just saying, that's like in case you decide to work with me as my dances, whatever.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_06]: And we have a great episode of Lost Crimes, if the word great can be applied to such human depravity.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_06]: Otherwise suppose greatness can be found than even the darkest crevices of humanity's evil deeds.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_06]: Geez, I'm starting to sound like Adam West's Batman.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_06]: Now I think we should just get right into this, and I'm going to start with my case first.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_06]: And I know that you've had the chance to examine that case.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_06]: And that case is the horrific murder of 16-year-old Becky Watts.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_06]: the Bateet English school girl that seemingly vanished into thin air.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_06]: And a name that can still bring down the tone of a room, one mentioned, and this takes place in the city of Bristol in the southwest of England.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_06]: And in 2015, this story had truly riveted the nation, one television and newspapers carried a story of a shy young girl who left home never to return.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_06]: It was on the morning of Thursday, February 19th, when 16 year old Becky Watts was returning from a sleepover at her best friends.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_06]: To the family home, where she lived with her father, Darren, and a stepmother Angie, who was a legmental.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_06]: Do you know what a legmental is, Jasmine?
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I mean, do you want the PC term, or do you want the nice term?
- 5:53[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't know my description was unkind.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, let's be nice first, multiple sclerosis.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_06]: I know a kid is a school at MS. We call them puppet men, because you walk with a puppet.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, live on the issues or, you know, I think you cheated and you read, you read the mother.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah, I think you did.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_03]: But I know about the kid wherever.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 6:16[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_06]: If you want to be a cheating, play that way.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_06]: That's okay.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_06]: Now, as mentioned Becky lived with a father and her stepmother, but her stepmother had raised her since she was six months old.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_06]: So, for all intents and purposes, Angie was her mother and the only mother that Becky knew.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_06]: Now, Becky had made plans that day to see her boyfriend, Luke, who was 18 years old, and it was at 11 or three that she would send her very last text message to him.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_06]: She also texted her best friend, Courtney Bicker,
- 6:50[SPEAKER_06]: Her stepmother said that she briefly chatted with Becky at around 10.30 a.m. before she had to leave her hospital appointment to which she returned from at 12.45 p.m. Later that day, her boyfriend Luke began to get worried because she hadn't returned his tax messages.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_06]: And when he tried to call her, her phone once straight to Boyz Mail.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_06]: But now the stepmother had returned back from a medical appointment at 12.45 p.m. and Becky wasn't in the home.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_06]: There was around 5 p.m. at the Luka decided to go to Becky's house because she had nets at his text or phone calls.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_06]: And more importantly, she hadn't shown up to meet him as promised.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_06]: And when he arrived, the door was opened by Becky's stepbrother's girlfriend, Shana Hall, which is an unfortunate name.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_06]: And she led him into the living room where her boyfriend Nathan and his mother were watching TV.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_06]: And looked all back he stabbed mother what had happened he wanted to know if she was home.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_06]: But Angie said she didn't think Becky was in her room.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_06]: And Shauna went up to the bedroom to check.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_06]: And she returned and said that no, she wasn't there.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_06]: There was at this point that Luke now visibly upset.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_06]: I had to take the word for an aloft.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_06]: Now the important thing he had to remember was that Becky had no history that would indicate that this was anyway normal behavior for her.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_06]: But despite this, Becky wasn't reported missing until the next day at 4 p.m. by a father Darren.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_06]: And that was on Friday, the 20th of February.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not the only one who thought that's a bit odd reporting a child missing a day later.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_06]: As strange.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: It really is.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_06]: Now, perhaps the thing I forgot to tell you about Becky was that she was a painfully shy girl.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_06]: Now she had had weight issues as a child and she was teased and often bullied.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_06]: And she struggled with anorexia in her early teens.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_06]: But when she turned 16, she dropped the puppy fat and she came into her own so to speak and she was becoming a lovely young lady, even getting a first boyfriend.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_06]: And although becoming more confident, she was still shy.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_06]: Now, one police attended the home on the Saturday after Becky's dad had reported her missing.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_06]: The door was answered by Nathan Matthews, Becky Stepbrother, who invited the officers in.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_06]: And at that time, it was reported that Darren and Angie was sat on the sofa and the lounge, and Shana was sat on the floor.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_06]: The officers reported that Darren and Angie Nathan and Shana all appeared to be generally concerned about the missing team.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_06]: And all agreed that it was out of character.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_06]: Now Nathan's girlfriend, Shana, was also Angie's career.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess that was her job, caring for the mother who we now know is a legmental.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I don't know why she did.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_06]: Like, maybe change the diapers lifted to the toilet at one night.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: Wait for us, and stuff like that.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, maybe stuff like that.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe she got skids on the couch and she had to wash her with the, you know, the older wife.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: So whatever, I don't know.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_06]: So don't ask me, Jazz.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't research that far into it.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm guessing you didn't either.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm just fascinated, that's all.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, well, you know, the story gets better.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_06]: Don't stop blow drying your hair yet.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_06]: Now is the panic is starting to set in.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_06]: The father Darren, he posts a message on Facebook on Saturday 21st February and it read.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_06]: Please, if anyone has seen or heard from my daughter, just let me know she is saying.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_06]: This guy's a fast type.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_06]: She went missing Thursday the 19th at 11.15 a.m. to meet a boyfriend and never arrived so he came to our house looking for.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_06]: She hasn't been seen since by any of her friends.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_06]: Police have started the search.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_06]: I'm really scared now.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_06]: I want home.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_06]: Now this is heartbreaking.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I mean, if this was not like normal of her, they should have started looking for her sooner, like it shouldn't have been this long.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and that for the grace of God.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_06]: So I mean, you know, we don't want to be critical, but I mean, it was always a stick and point where people had said the family work criticized, especially because this wasn't her behavior.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_08]: Right.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_06]: You know, my kid's five minutes late for her curfew, and I'm, you know, on the phone, leaving messages threatening to call 501 or, you know, that's, that's the type of parent that I am.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_06]: You know, 30 minutes later, I got the police charges out, and the search dogs, and then, you know, when she finally answers a phone, and I'll later, she's atty, you know, my phone battery went, you know, or something like that.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm one of those parents that's, that's highly nervous that I know that there is evil everywhere it seems.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_06]: So now, at this juncture, the cops are focusing in on Luke, the boyfriend.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_06]: Because he was the one who lost that contact with her.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_11]: Really?
- 11:50[SPEAKER_06]: Which is generally the case for these sort of incidences.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_06]: But then they spoke with them, and the kid was distraught, and their instincts knew.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_06]: that it couldn't have been the boyfriend.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_06]: So they've hit a dead end.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_06]: They're baffled.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_06]: As she met some older man online and run off with him, is there some problem within the family that they're not saying?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_06]: Now in the following few days, the family with the help of local volunteers did a search.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_06]: And they checked all the places that Becky would have hung out at.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_06]: You know, the city sent to the mall.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_06]: And by now the case is receiving national attention in the press.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's all over England.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_06]: Pretty young girl goes missing.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_06]: She leaves to see her boyfriend.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_06]: Now, including the police force, they've got over 300 volunteers that are campicing houses, handing out flyers, stopping cars, asking anybody if they've seen Becky.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_06]: And this is a city who citizens are locked into this.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_06]: It's known as a safe city, and they want to find this girl.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_06]: And they were looking for anything, even the slightest clue.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_06]: And it was nearly a week that she'd since she disappeared, and they'd found nothing.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_06]: And it was on Wednesday, the 25th of February that Becky's father posted a bizarre message on Facebook, all in capital letters.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_06]: This is a message to all wives, mothers, and girlfriends.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_06]: It was my baby girl's time of the month, so if you've watched any blood from your partner or sons underwear, and they can't explain it.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_06]: Please imagine if this was your child.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my God, that's so creepy.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_06]: What would you do?
- 13:24[SPEAKER_06]: So please report it.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_06]: You know, now for me, I mean, this was this really picked up people's attention.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_06]: They were like, what the fuck?
- 13:35[SPEAKER_06]: But for me, it's kind of like, don't let your parents on social media.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm saying here?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_06]: I guess it's like my mom, she friended me on Instagram.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_06]: And I can't do a posting without her saying, oh, you're so handsome.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_06]: My son is so handsome or anything.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_06]: She'll, you know, my son, he did good from self-considering what the bad till he was 13.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, it's just shut the fuck up, mom.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_06]: This is for fans.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I may be humanized as you more towards your listeners.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_03]: So it could be an open thing.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, Jazz, not for me.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want to be humanized.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's what the block button is for.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_06]: But for me, the message does make me a bit uncomfortable.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_03]: It's just TMI right there posting that, but I understand why he have to because people needed to know, hey, if you see this weird, you know, if you see this blood, this is where, you know, it's in serious.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's probably have something to do with her, but
- 14:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you know, Jazz, it kind of reminds me of my friend, Sean Moon.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_06]: I know what called him not, they call him Mooney.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_06]: But when we were teenagers, and I were looking for some role in papers, I went into his top drawer in his bedroom, and there was a bloody tampon in there.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_06]: in the in the tropped of his dress.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_06]: I said, what the fuck is this?
- 14:55[SPEAKER_06]: And he said, oh, it's my ex-girlfriend's tampon.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_06]: I say, yeah, I know what the it's a fucking tampon, but why do you have it in, uh, you, uh, you know, your draw, your sock draw.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_06]: And he looked at me.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_06]: I asked, why do God judge really seriously?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_06]: And he said, to remember the good times.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_06]: To remember the good times.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_06]: And then he just looked distant away.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_06]: Well, and I was like, what the fuck?
- 15:16[SPEAKER_03]: Where do you find these people?
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it just, it's more concerning.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_06]: Nah, I doubt it.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_06]: I lost contact with them when we were about 16 to 17 years old, but at Google, though, when I found out he's now selling used cars in Mississippi, Ontario, we contact him.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, man, that'd be so fucking cool if you just call them out of the blue.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_10]: Let's do it.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_06]: Hi, I'm Jasmine St. Clair.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_06]: That's a future podcast right there.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_06]: I hope we got to do it.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: We get it with our therapist on the, on the episode as well.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_03]: But the whole thing just seems off.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: Well, wait a second.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_03]: When you look at your friend's profile, is he married or anything?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: Does he?
- 15:55[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, just how the fuck am I supposed to know?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_06]: It's not grinder.
- 15:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know, don't, don't say his star sign and his eye color, whatnot.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's a Ford car side.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_06]: It just says he sells cars for crazy.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, please.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_10]: I want to know.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_06]: But it'd be funny it's hell to have a man.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_06]: But as usual, jazz would digress in it the territories that have nothing to do with the story.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_06]: So if I may continue, so the father left a message that some would figure was a questionable taste.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_06]: I really do think it's just, it's the parents on the social media.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think myself that it was something like, you know, just a dad beside himself, I think.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, and these are simple work and class people he had jazz.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we're not talking, this guy wasn't running for the president of England or something like that.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_06]: And now the police said it was just by coincidence, but regardless,
- 16:47[SPEAKER_06]: He left the post early in the day and by evening, the police had entered the family home to search it.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, for the white forensic suits and everything, and now the attention had turned onto the family as the main suspects.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, maybe the dad specifically.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you start sticking your nose in your daughter's menstrual cycle and you're going to get a 30.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_06]: And this too may not also surprise you, but they started to get targeted by online trolls.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: That was about right.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_06]: Now Becky's aunt and her father's sister, she was very upset by this and quite affected and she started lashing out.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_06]: at these trolls, taking to Facebook.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_06]: It sounds like this family is on Facebook a little too much, but she said, I know there have been so many trolls having this say and speculating and making up their own theories and writing comments on things they really know nothing about.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_06]: But as a family, we are doing everything to find backy.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_06]: From morning to night we use all that we have all our energy and we are now in a living hell dealing with these narrow-minded people on a daily basis.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_06]: Our aim is to find Becky safe.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_06]: I can't bear to read some of these comments without commenting back to try to protect my family, but it's just taking away time and strength that I could be using to help find my darling,
- 18:24[SPEAKER_06]: But now this sort of thing with the world now being online is always something you're going to have to deal with with this TikTok generation.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, yeah, there aren't what we call them armchair detectives.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I call them a few other things, but in that defense, I mean, when you have the dad talking about bloodness, that is on the way, well, that's a pretty much
- 18:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, red flag to a bowler, suppose.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_06]: Now a further two days of these extensive searches would follow.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_06]: What police divers searching upon near the family home and also a nature reserve that was half a mile away.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_06]: Now police said that they were just doing these searches to rule things out and that they didn't have any leads.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_06]: But then finally, there was a breakthrough.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_06]: On Saturday, February 28th, police announced that they had arrested a 28-year-old and a 21-year-old, on suspicion of kidnapping Becky.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_06]: And no other details were released, Jasmine.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you think I got someone, but clearly they were too late to the party as usual.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we don't know that, where we're speculating here.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_06]: But on the Sunday, the first of March.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_06]: police searched to house at Whitton close Bristol, five miles from Becky's home.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_06]: With neighbors reporting that a car had been taken away and that offices in protective forensic suits was seen carrying evidence bags from the house.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_06]: So neighbors would also claim that the offices focused on the boot or in America as you call it a trunk of the car, which had been in front of the house for a week.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_06]: But was not known to belong to any of the residents of the area.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_06]: Now on March 2nd, the Fishing Shipbeat and Cops were given a further 36 hours to question their two suspects about the missing team.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_06]: It was also an hours that they would now be treating the team's disappearance as a murder investigation.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, I guess everybody out there saw it coming.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_06]: Now I don't know how it is in the U.S. with the police and murder investigations, but in the United Kingdom, the police here they tend to keep everything close to the chest.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think it's the same way here, I mean, it's so obvious and they move fast sometimes just depends where and who it is.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_06]: So the two individuals already in custody were re-arrested.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_06]: And that doesn't mean that they had been released.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_06]: It just means that they changed the charge from upduction to murder.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_06]: And police appealed for witnesses who may have seen a black voxel, severe in the area that they believed may have been transport and Becky.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_06]: Police stated in relation to the sightings of the car, the critical time period was from the morning of Thursday the 19th of February until Monday the 23rd of February.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_06]: And finally, on Tuesday, March 3rd, police announced that there had been a significant development overnight in the search for missing Becky Watts.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_06]: At an unknown address, they'd found body parts that they believed to be that of Becky Watts.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_06]: and here's a clip from the police press conference.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_01]: The result of new information received late last night.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: We attended at a house at Barton Court in the Barton Hill area of Bristol.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: The information suggested that Becky's body had been cut up and a search at the new location resulted in the discovery of body parts.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: Although formal identification procedures have not yet been completed,
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: We have made Beckett's family aware of this discovery.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: As a result of this latest development, a further three men and two women have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: They remain in police custody at this time, as do the man and woman arrested on suspicion of Beckett's murder.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: This is devastating news for Beckett's family and friends, and our thoughts are with them.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: We will continue to offer every support we can to them during this terrible ordeal.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_06]: And here's the sensational twist on this one, Jasmine, that the people arrested for the murder were revealed to be Becky's stepbrother Nathan and his girlfriend, Shana.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_10]: Wow.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_06]: Now the house in Whitton closed that the carps has been day searching, belonged to Shana's estranged mother.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_06]: Now prior to this visit, she hadn't seen a talk to her mother for four years.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, then how did you have access to the house?
- 22:57[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's what we're going to get to.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_06]: And the black foxes of fear are that the cops were talking about.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_06]: They believed that that was the vehicle that had been transport and Becky.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_06]: Now, Nathan had apparently well in custody confessed to the murder.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_06]: And he said it was an accident.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_06]: And he went on to say that his girlfriend, Shana, had nothing to do with the incident and didn't even know about it.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_06]: He was later transpired that Becky had been suffocated in her own bedroom.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_06]: after what police would describe as a terrible struggle.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_06]: A post-mortem would later reveal that she had sustained 40 separate injuries before she died, and that her torso sustained 15 stab wounds and a slash wound all inflicted after her death.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_03]: That doesn't sound like an accident to me.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_06]: Her petite nude body was then sought up into eight separate pieces.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_06]: Her body parts had been wrapped in multiple layers of seran wrap.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_06]: and tape before being placed in blue plastic bags.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_06]: A head had been wrapped in a similar manner before being placed into a shop and bag, and then stored into a suitcase.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_06]: The eight pieces found were a right arm, which had been cut into two pieces.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_06]: The left arm, which was complete with the hand, the right hand, by itself, a left leg, a right leg, her remaining torso, and of course the head.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_02]: Jesus Christ.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_06]: Ooh.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_06]: The cause of death was indicated as suffocation.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_06]: No indication of strangulation.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_03]: Well, stop right there.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: You just said that the cause of death was suffocation, but it showed that she was never strangled.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_06]: that's correct Jasmine in direct contradiction to what Nathan had told the police.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_06]: Did he stop her into that suitcase and she was still alive and she would suffocate?
- 24:52[SPEAKER_06]: Or maybe he didn't even do it, maybe Sean had did it.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_06]: And that would explain why he couldn't say how she died because he didn't know.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_06]: Now interestingly enough, the body parts had been covered with salt, and a lot of it, meaning an amateur attempt at mummification.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_06]: Now for her part in this crime, Shana would tell investigators that she knew nothing about it.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_06]: She didn't even know the back yet had been killed, and was just as sharp as everyone else.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_06]: But police weren't buying it.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_06]: They believed that what she was putting on was an act.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_06]: A very bad act.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_06]: And she was trying to sell them on something they didn't want to buy.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_06]: It was during the second police interview when the cops already had their suspicions of the couple that Sharna would make a Freudian slip that would cost her daily, referring to Becky in a past tense.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_04]: They couldn't part of those initially inquiries just a few days ago, long time.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_04]: She used to think it was, um, um, um, basically.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_04]: perceived a bit of reluctance, so yeah, do you have any knowledge of that?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_04]: Not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my knowledge, not to my
- 26:22[SPEAKER_07]: I got it for again, knowing how hard it'd be for his mom at the moment, because Becky was almost like her daughter's friend.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_07]: You never did.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_06]: And on June 22nd, she was also charged alongside with Nathan with the murder of Becky Watts.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_06]: So was she the co-blooded accomplice that the cops were painting her ass?
- 26:45[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, was she just a victim of a domineering boyfriend and she was just going along for the ride?
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_03]: 100% and I also believe that she was somehow jealous of the sister because she's very pretty.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what I think.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I thought Shawna was pretty as well, but you know, maybe what she's not.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_10]: What are you talking about?
- 27:09[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, okay, Jesus Christ, Jazz, we're not even married yet.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_06]: Now it has to be said that Shana hooked up with Matthew when she was only 14 years old and he was 18.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_06]: He was domineering, controlling.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_06]: He made her share a phone with them.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_06]: He locked food in the fridge.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_06]: She had eating issues with food, and he called her a fatty.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_06]: And he constantly told her she wasn't good enough.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_06]: You know, this was not your normal relationship.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_06]: It was abusive.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm not defending I here, but I am saying that it's not so simple.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_06]: It's not just black and white, there are some shades and nuances here.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_06]: I think you're very quick to judge it.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_06]: Jasmine, you're very judgmental.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_06]: I just put that out there.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, okay, whatever.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_06]: Jeez.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_06]: Under the Facebook post and about your period.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_06]: We know now that at some point after 11 a.m. on the morning of February 19th, Nathan and Shauna went to the home where Becky lived.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_06]: They knew the mother had left for her doctor's appointment and they let themselves in with a spare key that was in the recycling box.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_06]: And they murdered Becky before the mother returned from a doctor's appointment at 1245.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_06]: And the body was put in a bag along with several of her belongings into the boot of the trunk of the couple's vehicle.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_06]: Now they had to reverse that vehicle into the driveway, which, in my opinion, shows intent.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_03]: Of course.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they knew what they were doing.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_03]: This, like we said, this was never an accident.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: They knew what they were doing.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that they had this plan.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_06]: They backed the vehicle into the driveway so they could easily load the body into the car without bringing too much attention.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_06]: And in the bag they also had a stun gun, masks, and electrical tape that had been brought to the house with them in order to carry this out.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_06]: It was around 5pm that evening the Becky's boyfriend Luke came to enquire about her whereabouts.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_06]: And this is eerie.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_06]: He would have walked past his girlfriend's dead body in the trunk of the couple's car in the narrow driveway.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: What's creepy?
- 29:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's pretty gross.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_06]: Now a little while later, CCTV footage would capture Nathan and Shana driving home, and they would head back his body in the trunk.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_06]: They casually went north of the Chinese takeaway in a pizza, double cheese, no pepperoni.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_06]: Then they settled in for the evening, watching back to back episodes of Friends, while Becky lay outside in the trunk.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_06]: With Regamort is now at its peak, moving from a smaller muscles to a face and jaw.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_06]: Now the following morning Nathan got up early and found his bars at a restaurant kitchen that he worked on and he told him that he couldn't come in because he had issues with his car that he needed to get fixed.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_06]: In reality, he was hatching a plan to cover up the murder and would begin the gruesome process of carving up Becky's body.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_06]: It was just after midday Nathan visited a store in Bristol and bought two bottles of
- 30:26[SPEAKER_06]: Soon after he visited a home improvement store, and purchased a circular power saw, face masks, gloves, and goggles, and this was all card on CCTV.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_06]: At three-ten that day, Nathan received a text from Shana, saying, what time do you finish work?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_06]: L-O-L, which we're guessing that she knew he had gone to work that day, and he was out buying the supplies
- 30:55[SPEAKER_10]: Oh, of course.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_06]: And she ends that text with Exo, Maxo, Maxo, Hugs and Kisses.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_06]: And it was around this time a couple of miles away that Becky's father officially reported Becky missing to the police.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_06]: And when they arrived at the family home to speak to Darren and Angie, they also found Nathan and Shawna at the property.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_06]: Police were then told something that threw the initial investigation off track.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_06]: Nathan and Shana claimed they had heard Becky leave the previous morning at around 11.15.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_06]: While we know that she never left that property, at least alive, that evening, another Chinese takeaway was ordered to the address of Nathan and Shana.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_06]: And on the mobile phone that the couple shared, they looked up how to hide a body on
- 31:49[SPEAKER_06]: On February 21st, the couple visited a supermarket to buy black bags, rubble sacks, rubber gloves, bleach, and three rolls of cling film, items that would later be used to wrap up the body parts of one Becky Watts.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_06]: And the couple were card at several locations on CCTV cameras and they just seemed like your average couple out and spend them day together.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_06]: Now they must not have bought enough cling fill and tape, because the next day they went out and they did it all over again.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_06]: I guess the job was messier than they thought.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_06]: Now at this point, everything seemed to be going to plan and police attention seemed to be elsewhere.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_06]: They had cut up pretty Becky's body into manageable pieces.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_06]: Now Nathan had told police that his girlfriend was totally unaware that he had cut up Becky's body.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_06]: And even though he was using a circular saw next to the bedroom, she claimed to have not heard a thing.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, okay.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_06]: And he said this is the reason why he got the drain cleaner because he was able to tell her that the shower on bath that clogged up and she would be unable to use it.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_06]: And this wasn't unusual that happened before, and she would take him at his word and just wouldn't use it.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_06]: And in some grow task way, he hadn't been lying because the bathtub had gotten clogged up by Becky's intestines.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_06]: And other guts, and when he'd finished sign, that's where he kept the body parts, all while Shauna slept in the next room on a way, which I don't believe.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's totally fake, yeah, that's false.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_06]: And it was that day on February 23rd that Shana phoned her estranged mother that she had the scene as spoken to in four years.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_06]: That's weird.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_06]: Telling her mother that she wanted to see her and within an hour her and her boyfriend would be driving out to her mothers where they would spend the next couple of days.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_06]: At 6 p.m., the police tried the contact, the couple at their carton mill residence.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_06]: But there was no one home.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_06]: When they finally tracked the couple to Shana's mother and said they wanted to speak to him, Shana said they couldn't because of going out to a restaurant with a mother, but agreed to meet the police the next day at the cart in Mill Lane home.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_06]: Which unbeknownst to them, the police would then be undertaking an extensive search of the property.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_06]: There was at this point the couple panicked and they enlisted the help of friends and two of their friends.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_06]: got to work, ran from the work, and met the couple at their cotton mill laying a dress where they drove a short distance away a few yards actually to a Barton court address and there was activity seen in the back yard where they were seeing moving a suitcase in a couple of bags and door garden shed.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_06]: Now how much the five friends know?
- 34:38[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it's not known, but I mean, I find it hard to believe that that Nathan would have said, hey, I need
- 34:45[SPEAKER_06]: You know, keep my dad's cut-up step-sister on ice while I figure out what to do with her.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_03]: We got to tell them something because if it was such an immediate, um, if it was so desperate, like if they came to the met-up desperation, they would want to know what is the urgency of this, like, what is so important about this package that you have to hide it?
- 35:05[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, maybe.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_06]: Now on February 25th, when the cops eventually gained entry to the carton mill address.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_06]: Update the Matthews and Shana Hall.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_06]: They were met with a very messy home.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_06]: The couple were pigs, they were take away containers everywhere, I mean it looked like a squad.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_06]: It literally was disgusting, and as they moved upstairs, the first thing they were struck by was how clean the bathroom was.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_06]: especially the bathtub.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: Please, for our body.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_06]: You bet you're sweet as, Jazz.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_06]: Now on February 26 that around 1pm, Shana Hor gave her first voluntary interview to the tech-toes, where she described the events of the morning the Becky had gone missing, and she was continuing to say they had no idea, and that they'd heard her slam the door after Becky had had some sort of tantrum or an argument.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_06]: with who, I mean, then not letting us know.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe your boyfriend, they're trying to suggest, but either way, the cops weren't buying it at this point, they're on to them.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, they already have their number.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_03]: They got it.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_06]: They do indeed, and on the next day, February 27th, investigators got that first big break in the case.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_06]: They found tiny blood droplets on Becky's door frame.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_06]: And when they tested it, it turned out to be Becky's blood.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_06]: But also, there were fingerprints on that blood.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_06]: And they turned out to be Nathan's fingerprints.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_06]: Bingo.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_11]: There you go.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_06]: Police would then not same day arrest Matthews and Hall on suspicion of kidnapping.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_06]: When asked a series of urgent questions on Becky's well-being and whereabouts, Nathan would only comment, no comment, and Hall would only answer that she knew nothing.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_11]: Oh, she knew what a lot more.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_06]: She was clean as a soul on a cripple's boot Jasmine.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_11]: No, she wasn't.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_06]: jazz isn't he's just got no trust a new man to do not live a last name like horror or by name or by nature I guess one could literally wax that was then the Nathan Matthew shocked everyone and he gave a full written confession
- 37:32[SPEAKER_06]: Now there is footage of him being interviewed and he just added the floor and mumble he refused to even speak if they mentioned back his name and he was just sobbing and, you know, I guess alligator tears, but he decided to get his lawyer to write it all out now I won't read it all because he does tend to ramble off topic, but here's some of it.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_06]: I, Nathan Charles, Matthew, date of birth, 9th of January 1987, accept that I am responsible for the death of Rebecca.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_06]: What's?
- 38:11[SPEAKER_06]: On the 19th of February 2015, I attended 18 Crown Hill, St George Bristol, with my girlfriend Shanna Hall.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_06]: 18 Crown Hill is where my mother lives with Darren Galsworthy.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_06]: Rebecca Watts also lives there.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_06]: Shana is my mother's registered care, so we regularly go to the house to help with housework and you know, change your shitty diapers and and I just added that last part because I guess we're all thinking you know, yeah, we're all thinking and so she probably gets a fucking, I don't know, she gets a paycheck for doing it.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_06]: So she helps with her other needs.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_06]: I think other needs you can basically qualify on the
- 38:51[SPEAKER_06]: You know the mom she probably saw as the couch.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_03]: Amongst other things.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_06]: I fucking disgusting.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_06]: I would like put her in a cage or something.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_06]: I'll get her own.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_06]: It's for shit anchors not it's a bit extreme, but you know, I get a plastic I get a plastic chair or whatever But so I'm and I'm I'm wandering off topic here off his letter So he said although that we usually went there on Mondays when days and Wednesdays and Fridays We did also go there on other days on Thursday the 19th of February part of the reason for going around was to return a tent to my grandmother
- 39:29[SPEAKER_06]: We return a 10 like the grandma the fucking collects 10's Fucking weird.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_06]: Let's see if it's a take and they get the 10's yeah, maybe I don't know She just collects 10's I mean people do it.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_06]: I guess so my grandmother was due back to take my mother to a medical appointment Okay, so his mother is the leg metal and then bring her back
- 39:51[SPEAKER_06]: In my car, I had a large bag, a stunned device handcuffs tape and a mask, and I developed an idea to scare Rebecca by kidnapping her.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_06]: because he didn't like the way she treated his fucking mother.
- 40:08[SPEAKER_06]: Right, I don't think she was that bad.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_06]: Well Jasmine, I'm not the defendant, this Nathan Guy.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just passing on to you the reason that he gave the cops.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_06]: And that was that he wanted the kidnap, his step sister.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_06]: This guy, which I believe is a plausible explanation.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_06]: And then he went on to say that he believed the way his step sister was treating his mom.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_06]: was risking her health.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_06]: So he's saying that she's treated, so he's just being a caring son.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, okay.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_06]: At this point, so he said when we went to 18 crown hill, that's Becky's house, we let ourselves in with the key that my mother had left in the recycling box.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_06]: Now upon entering the property, we went into the front room, the TV area, and I'm guessing at this point the mom is left for her appointment, probably to get her downstairs plumbing fixed in her breaks realigned.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_06]: And the grandmother has driven her to this appointment because she's a cripple.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess after they laughed, Nathan.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_06]: probably with the alpashana went upstairs to Becky's room to take care of business.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_06]: But not according to Nathan, who says, a few minutes after arriving, Shana went out into the background because she wanted to have a smoke and his confession continues.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_06]: So when she was in the garden, I went to the the boot, the trunk of my car, and I took out the bag.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_06]: It's fucking weird.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_06]: So she says, I say, so hey, I'm going to take my opportunity and I'm going to go into the trunk and I'm going to take out my bag and take in my stunk and make
- 41:40[SPEAKER_06]: My mask and my tape, you know, as you do.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_06]: And I mean, in America, I know you can get stunts, but I mean, stun guns, but fuck, I don't know how you'd get him here.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_06]: So, fuck, must take some look at it.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_06]: It's not like they sell him online or on eBay.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_06]: But he took everything upstairs and I think.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_06]: So he says, I think I then took the items at the bag before knocking on back his door and she replied, what?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_06]: Or hello.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_06]: And I said, can I see you a minute?
- 42:10[SPEAKER_06]: These are his words, don't forget.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_06]: So back open the door, and I'm wearing this mask.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_06]: And I cannot be sure in which order things happen next.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_06]: But I immediately came into the door and we started Tassel and Roslyn, I suppose.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_06]: That's my words, not his.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_06]: And during this short struggle, my mask slipped and back I was able to see my face.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_06]: See, right here, I'm seeing some conflicting things because she said, what?
- 42:40[SPEAKER_06]: And he said, can I see you a minute?
- 42:42[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, someone knocked out my bedroom door and I said, what?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_06]: And he said, hey, can I see you a minute?
- 42:46[SPEAKER_06]: I'd say, hey, who the fuck is this?
- 42:48[SPEAKER_05]: Or if I knew him, I'd say, yeah.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_05]: Come on in, of course.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_06]: So he's already lying.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_06]: So we went in there.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_06]: They started Rosslin, his mouse slipped, and this was when he said he panic because she'd seen his face, and he said he's strangled her.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_06]: Which again is a lie because the autopsy is already proven that she suffocated.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_06]: She wasn't strangled.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_06]: At this point, he said he collect some of the items that he'd used, and he brought upstairs, and he put him in a bag, and then he also picked back up, and he put her in the bag too.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_06]: My theory is that she was still alive, whatever he did to her, and she suffocated in the bag.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_03]: No, I think they did it before.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think they just did it in the clear.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe some sort of six-sex game is something.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_06]: Who knows?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, only, of course, they're going to make it seem like it was in the state, but you shouldn't have been doing these stupid things in the first place.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, stupid's been kind.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_06]: He said I also took a phone, a tablet, and a laptop together with a shoe, some clothes, and a duvet cover, which is a confida from the spare room.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_06]: and I put it into a separate bag.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_06]: I took everything downstairs and put them in the back of the boot of my car.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_06]: Back in the house, I waited to hear Shana then I slammed the front door shot.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_06]: Before she was so, you're trying to tell me that Shana were fucking smoking the whole time.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_06]: There's whole thing happened while your girlfriend was fucking smoking.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_03]: She's a very special people.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_03]: And not in a good way either.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_03]: I think that they have
- 44:26[SPEAKER_03]: In the States is Jen Pock.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if they're in the UK, but I I feel like both of them belong there.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm sure they're fine.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_03]: The whole thing just sounds more and more heinous.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_06]: So he slammed the door front door.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_06]: I guess to let Shadow know, hey, I'm home.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_06]: Honey, I'm home.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_06]: Before going to the front room, and he checked the Shana was not in the room.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_06]: And then he went to set and then he was sitting on the sofa.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, she came in.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_06]: The rest of the house, they just hung out.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_06]: Which you would do when you got your dead step sister.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_06]: course in the back of the trunk and after this they hung out for a bit as you do when you've got your dead step sister in the back of your car outside and after a while they went back to the cart mill address and shunna what the bed and yada yada yada we know what happens from this we won't go over that all again with the drain clean on that.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_06]: And besides that, he goes on and on and on.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_06]: It's fucking lawyers writing it.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_06]: He's not right.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_06]: So he can just tell his life story.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_06]: And of course, the lawyer, he's going, yeah, come on.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_06]: Take your time.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_06]: Say as much as you want, because he's charged him by the hour.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: You can just take a few hours for a problem.
- 45:42[SPEAKER_02]: I get paid for here, anyway.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, no problem.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_06]: But he ends it all once again, saying that Shawna had nothing to do with it.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_03]: You know, sing first, say, and I don't know why he's protecting her.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_06]: It was during the early hours of March 3, the police discovered Becky's remains in the shed at nine barren court and they arrested four individuals, three males and one female for aiding in a bedding and preventing an unlawful burial.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_06]: As a trial approach, it was clear that the police believed that both were complicit in Becky's murder.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_06]: In addition to both facing the murder charge, they were also charged with perverting the course of justice.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_06]: conspiracy to commit false imprisonment, preventing a lawful burial, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_06]: Both faced the additional charge unrelated to the Becky of four counts of making indecent images of children.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_03]: Wait a second, you're saying images.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_03]: Do you think they probably rated their laptop and they saw a child pornography?
- 46:53[SPEAKER_03]: Were they taking photos of these victims?
- 46:56[SPEAKER_03]: or did they possess photos of younger girls that they were trying to go after?
- 47:00[SPEAKER_03]: Were they prepping up on young girls and the park and taking photos?
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it could be any of the word things.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, who knows?
- 47:09[SPEAKER_06]: We know that Nathan was in the petite teenagers, and they were in the three sums together.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they could have, you know, they're having a three sum with a 16 year old and they took bitches of it.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_06]: That could be the indecent images.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I would find it hard to believe that they found four child porn images and charged them.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that doesn't seem the way the law works for more than I've heard.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_06]: But who knows?
- 47:32[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, maybe they did it just to show the judge and the jury that these, you know, that there is a history of devency.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_03]: They're sure.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, because these are bad people.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_06]: and it seemed that the judge agreed because the judge sentenced Matthews to life imprisonment with a minimum, a term of 33 years, and Hall was given 17 years.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_03]: She should have gotten more, I'm sorry.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_06]: The judge also agreed with the prosecutors that this was planned, and there was a sexual motive.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_06]: That the couple had gone there to kidnap Becky, to bring them back to their place and to have sex with her.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_06]: but it was just the old plan that it all fucking went past shape.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_06]: Matthews had a known fixation with petite teenage girls.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_06]: And when they arrested in that possession there was a 17 minute rape video of a petite teenager on his laptop.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, that's enough, that's gross.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_06]: And he was also charged with sexual assault and voyeurism
- 48:38[SPEAKER_06]: and everyone agree that these two hauntas and they want to hunt them.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_03]: I said it's obvious that they planned this because you just don't randomly kidnap someone and have all the stuff in your car truck.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_06]: And let's not forget the text exchanges between the couples.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_06]: There were various incidences where Shana would say, I just, you know, petite, hot, 17-year-old girl.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_06]: I'd like to knock out and bring back for us to take up in the attic and fuck.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_06]: And there were several incidences of that where they were going back and forth, but that crossed the line from sexting to something more sinister.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_03]: It just really digs into the underbelly of society and it shows you that you just don't know people.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_03]: Because I mean, this is sitting there under their roof the whole time with the caretaker, the steps on.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_06]: And a lot of the reason they figured that Shana got a lesser charge was because of Matthew's domineering behavior of and Shana's upbringing.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_06]: It was reported that Shana had been taken into care and you know,
- 49:54[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want to be one of those people that just sit there and says, or a slot, slot, or an, you know, and everything.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_06]: I know our name last name's Hor, but you get the jitter just to what I'm saying.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_06]: But we cannot, we cannot overlook the fact that this girl, Shawna, had been taken into care.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_06]: before she had reached schoolage.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_06]: Her mum abandoned us, so before she reached schoolage, so by the time she was four years old, she'd been taken into care, and she would live with six different foster families who would just get rid of her.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_06]: And her relationship with Matthews began when she was 14 years old and he was 20.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, what the fuck?
- 50:38[SPEAKER_06]: And taking that face value,
- 50:42[SPEAKER_06]: Her story is plausible, I mean that she became this guy's servant, you know, intertwined with pieces of information that matched Nathan's confession.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_06]: And this girl won't very bright.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, she won't get a job for Nasa.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_03]: I said I believe it, but they shouldn't be using it as a plausible excuse for her to one.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_03]: You know, to give her a lighter sentence.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it worked for Callahal Malka in the Kenan Barbecue, and I mean, it wouldn't put a past me if they were watching that case very closely.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, let's not forget that Carla Homoca offered her her own sister as a Christmas gift for Paul.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_06]: And she was going down on her wall, Paul was inally raping her, an underage girl.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_06]: So I mean, you know, and she played the victim card.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_06]: And they learned afterwards, and you know, was known as the deal with the devil.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_06]: They learned afterwards that she was duplicent and are complicit in it.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_06]: And she was equally involved.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's pretty nasty.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_06]: While prosecutors stand by their opinion that she was cool, calculating, and she was equally involved in this, maybe even a ringleader, and he defended her, and she got away with murder.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_06]: which appears to be the case because she's out on the streets as we speak after only serving eight navies.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_06]: And apparently the now 32 year old has found love.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_06]: With Jessica, Silverster, a woman nurse that she'd met a woman as I guess, who'd met who she'd met in prison, who was convicted of stealing medicine from terminally ill patients receiving end-of-life care during the pandemic.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_06]: real salt of the stuff jazz.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, how can I meet a girl like that?
- 52:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_03]: I think it probably have to go on to like tender or something like that.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_03]: You got to get out more.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_06]: I got it, don't I?
- 52:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_06]: So they apparently got these two apparently got Stinky Finga real close inside of prison and after living prison, leaving prison, they hooked up together and they're real close, you know.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, they're regularly on social media bragging of how well they're
- 52:57[SPEAKER_06]: and, you know, the nightlife.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_06]: And as with these relationships, especially started in prison, you can imagine what the nurse looks like.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm trying to look her up on my Instagram.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_03]: Is it Shana who I've seen at a spillover last time?
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: I people that do that and make you posting how great their relationships are and all this stuff.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_03]: Usually, that's not the case.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_03]: It's always the opposite.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_06]: And from the pictures that I've seen of this night, and from the pictures that I've seen of this nurse who likes to steal off the dying, I guess the only way to describe it would be to use the term from the LGBT community, their own term, which is a real bulldike.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_06]: A large main looking woman who strikes me someone who should be driving a truck.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, here it is.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: I see her.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: I see her.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_03]: I just found her on Instagram.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_06]: And in this case, I'd like to say there are no winners, but perhaps that's not true because Shana Hor is apparently living happily ever after.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_06]: While Becky is not.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_06]: And that's my case, Jasmine.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_06]: And now I think it's about time we move on to yours.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_03]: This is the case of Teresa Ferreira.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_03]: Um, it's like working class parents and she's born in the island, but eventually eventually over to Oslo and Park, but she was the distant relative of Carlos Morello, who was like a distance boss of like a New Orleans prime family, and like most people that have the battles in their last names during that era in those areas, there were somehow connected to the mob.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_06]: And it was 5,000 new jersey where she was from.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_06]: And they were unsure if that family mob connection had anything to do with where she moved to in life.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, this is a girl who didn't really grow up wanting to be a gangster.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_03]: But knowing that she was related to Morello gave her some sort of comfort being around dangerous men.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_03]: Of that makes sense.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_03]: Very pretty girl, by the way.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_03]: And my favorite part about her is she was 10 all year old.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_06]: And no arguments for my end.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_06]: She was a very good looking girl.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_06]: And at the end of the day, chicks dig danger.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_06]: They dig danger.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_03]: Well, she had a beauty that attracted dangerous men, which is what will learn.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_03]: She'd moved from Long Island to ozone park queens to become a model actress.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why you would go to ozone park queens.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: There's never anything there.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, except for mobsters.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_03]: Mobsters want to be Guido's, like, all that other crap, you know.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_03]: Guys would say stuff like that.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_06]: My grandmother, God bless her soul with a card of mobs.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_03]: Something like that, right?
- 55:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: But she was smart, she was ahead of her time.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: But at the same time, she did a few stupid things along the way.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_06]: And I guess the first really stupid thing that she would have done was hook up with that mobster in 1970.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_06]: What was his name?
- 56:16[SPEAKER_03]: It was someone.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_03]: He was hot, actually.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_03]: He was not you, but he was cute.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_06]: Well, thank you.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_06]: And if anybody doesn't know, he was the character that Joe Pashy played in good fellows.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_03]: Right, but they didn't put this like they had no version of this girl in good fellas and she played a very big part in a lot of this as we'll see momentarily and there is no mention of her in good fellas.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_03]: The only thing that could have been remotely close to it is when Joe Peshie was the hot blonde in the beginning.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and I think that they did say that that they did mention the name.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_06]: the same.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the first name, but that's the only mention.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_06]: And these two hooked up.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_06]: So was it is Tommy just disemone.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, what happened was she was working around Queens.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she started off actually drug dealing.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_03]: Did you know that?
- 57:13[SPEAKER_06]: I did know that.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like low level people and so forth.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_03]: But she met disemone.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_03]: She started in a fair with him in
- 57:25[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, and he was in with the Lichesie crime family.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_03]: He was a married guy.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_03]: They were having their beautiful little affair.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_03]: She was 20 years old.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_03]: And that led her into hanging out at big mob hangouts, like Robert's lounge, she'd also freaking another place.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_03]: I think it was called the sweet and the social club.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_03]: This is where guys would actually go to top their business.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_03]: They'd hang out with Campbell and drink.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_03]: So she was in and she's probably in more than the wife was at that point.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_06]: And this Tommy Dissimon was incredibly violent.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_06]: And it just wasn't within the mob.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_06]: He would kill just for the second killing and many witnesses.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_06]: It said there was one time he just killed an old guy.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_06]: Just to see him die, and if you can remember the scene, although he didn't look like Joe Peshie, the scene was modeled after him was where he shot Spiderman in the foot, and then shot him again just because he saw us back to him.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_06]: This wasn't a nice guy.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, there are people like that.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe she got a rouse by it.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, maybe.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_03]: It couldn't be much going on in Ozon Park Queens, and you know, dealing drugs to mobsters, the probably wasn't much else going on in her life.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_03]: So, okay, sure, why not?
- 58:40[SPEAKER_03]: I'll go out with this rich but looking guy who's a mobster and it probably made a pussy what?
- 58:45[SPEAKER_05]: So, I don't know if you I didn't know you're in Toneck or Philly, but, uh, yeah, point of second I'm just removing my, uh, okay, continue.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_03]: So, by the mid 70s she became a beautician which seemed a lot more promising and she
- 59:09[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they say this Apple haircut as was just a front for her selling drugs and laundering mop money.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_06]: So, she was very successful.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe I'm not sure how she cut hair, but certainly she was making it in dealing drugs.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_03]: I know Bobby was thinking of the pretty blonde buying the counter was selling drugs.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what she did.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: She was doing that.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: You know, she sold, she sold for another crew Steve Weiss, I think his name was in
- 59:38[SPEAKER_06]: you know what they would do is they would at half places that could pose a threat to her little beauty salon there so she was in with them well she was in what she was in with Jimmy the gent who was Robert de Nero's character in good fellows Paul Verio Henry Hill I mean she was tighter than the Velcro strap on a spastic spoon with anybody who was anybody in the mob this was a street smart girl
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_03]: good.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_03]: She was very smart and the problem is I like even without the Simone, she was still in with those guys.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_03]: So that's a fight.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_03]: And that's how much you trusted her.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_03]: But in 77, she made a bit mistake.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_03]: She sold her phone to an undercover cop and got arrested to a DEA agent.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_06]: And that's when she became a rat for the government.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_03]: a CO when, you know, a confidential informant, she didn't fold.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, she just went back to business as usual for a month, 77 to 79, but then 78, this woman makes a little bit of a mistake.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_03]: This is where she starts getting sloppy.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_03]: Richard Eaton wanted to swindle the Chasey family out of $250,000 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_03]: And she was the one that handled that whole deal,
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_06]: which isn't small potatoes.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_03]: She's when to let she help them, and then you fast forward to a few months later, and this is just as playing a very dangerous game, because these guys trust you, now all of a sudden this money is gone.
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you're helping put these guys out of business and you're stabbing them in the back.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_03]: December 78 was the Lufthansa case.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_06]: And this is the crown, the little crown of heights.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_06]: This is it right here.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_03]: $5 million in untraceable cash and $875,000 in jewels.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_06]: And this was from taking from JFK.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_06]: Now a lot of these guys who worked at JFK had gambling debts.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_06]: That's correct.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_06]: And the gambling was rumored by the mob, so they were beholden to these wise guys.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_06]: And this, when these shipments of money would come over, usually they'd load them on the truck instantly, the brink's talks, and take them away, but sometimes if they arrive late, they'd have to keep the money overnight.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what happened on this particular day.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_06]: They found out that we're going to have to hold the money over the weekend and one of the guys who worked there, theypped up the mob, and this is how this ice went into action.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_03]: and the guy it was like 20,000 in gambling debts.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_06]: And this guy would be able to clear it all in one shot.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_06]: But then this wasn't the first time.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, these guys at the mob, as you'd see in good fellows, they were regularly at JFK.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, it was almost like that was where they got the pocket money for.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_06]: And it was almost because, like I said, so many people had gambling debts.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_06]: So they were still in everything.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_06]: They were stealing cigarettes, truckloads, a TV, shrimp.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_06]: You know, they were taking it.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_03]: They really just, you know, they, they were living high.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: They were living high for a little while with this.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_03]: The thing is, people got sloppy.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_03]: When you have too many people involved in these types of high-end crimes, it could get a bit tricky.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_03]: And with a getaway car was found a couple of days later.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_03]: So the driver of the getaway car decided to go spend the night at his girlfriend's place and he parked the truck outside.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: We're in behold, you know, they find out, they go up there, they kill him, whoever the hitman were with the crime family, and then the cops find the car a couple days later, because it's still parked there out front.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: So they started to get suspicious, but Teresa, my little, my, my friend, she was already cooperating with the feds, and she knew about this,
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_06]: And this is where the head of the family Paul Verio started the clean house.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_06]: He just said, fuck this, we got to get rid of everybody involved.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, they say paranoia in any other part of life is bad, but in the in the mob, it means survival.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_06]: And the black getaway driver, he was the start of it all.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, he was a liability at that point.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you got to get rid of them.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_03]: So he goes and a lot of other people were gone.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_06]: the guy wound the wig shop.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so then the realized character gets killed.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_03]: And they go quite, he goes crazy.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_06]: Just killing people.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_06]: Now, eight of them, I think, in like two months.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_03]: And then all these body popping up left and right left and right now, it's debatable if Mr. Risa got money.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think she did.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_03]: The cheated something, I get it, though.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_03]: She was very young.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_03]: like 27 years old, and she has all this money, so in January of 1979, the girl working at the hair shop gets a $1,500 a month apartment, a penthouse apartment, in a nice area of Long Island.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_03]: So that's a lot of money back then, and someone like that doesn't have that kind of money just coming in from work.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_06]: And the important aspect here that, in your totally right, is that in that same month of 1979, our boyfriend gets murdered or a dissapointment.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_11]: Well, he got killed.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they've never found the body, but to Simone himself in the movie, as we know, and we have witnesses of Sad.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_06]: He thought he was going to be a made man, and he showed up, and dressed for the occasion, and they murdered him.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_06]: And she lost the only person who was protecting her.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_06]: You know, this guy was taking risks.
- 1:05:25[SPEAKER_06]: Seat killed two made men, so it was in the works for a while.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_06]: So now we have this woman who's living in a very fancy, over-priced penthouse apartment.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_06]: And she's lost to protect the, and she knows way too much.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_03]: Way more.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_06]: Meanwhile, Jimmy, the gent is whackin' everybody.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's a problem right there.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_03]: And he's going, I, these all trigger happy and stuff like that.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_03]: So now, you know, she's there wondering what am I supposed to do.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_03]: So she keeps living her life.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_03]: She's doing something at the hair shop.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_03]: and she's obviously still cooperating with the feds.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, yeah, she's beaten information, the federal agents.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_03]: I know, while being mixed up with these guys is you can't.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_03]: You don't get to play both ends of the, you know, against the middle and get away with it.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_06]: And what really fucks me up here, Jazz is that she, you know, she's she's coming up.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_06]: She's coming up with hot tips because, um, I don't have the exact date of it, but I mean, she was the one who she, uh, there was a big cocaine bust and she was the one who was behind it.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_06]: She was the one who ratted out this big cocaine bust.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_06]: And she was getting all these juicy fucking information.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_05]: And no one was protecting her.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_05]: She had no guards.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_05]: The FBI weren't watching her.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_05]: No one.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_05]: They were leaving this poor young woman out there.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_05]: I'm protected.
- 1:06:45[SPEAKER_03]: You probably thought it would look too suspicious.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, that was a big cocaine bust that was a boat coming in.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_03]: Here it is.
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_03]: There was a ship coming in in 1978 and they intercepted it.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_06]: And that was, that was down to her tip off.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all because of her and nobody's expecting anything until finally, Vario gets very paranoid.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_03]: He starts putting two and two together.
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_03]: Like these aren't just coincidences.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_03]: These, there has to be something more.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_03]: And plus that money, there's money missing still from that look tons of ice that they can't account for.
- 1:07:22[SPEAKER_03]: So she had to have gotten something.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_06]: And that's a very important part that was money missing from the heist and very old was keeping his eye open to find out where went.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, why not kill more?
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_06]: Well, everybody who took a bullet was involved in the heist.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder if they all got paid out?
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_06]: I remember seeing some interview with some former DEA officer, Bigwig, and he said that when you think of the mafia, you think of them as these, you know, alcohol, these really intelligent guys in that, but he said the foot
- 1:07:53[SPEAKER_06]: You know, that are on the ground, that dumb as a bag of hammers, and they just, they just care about spend the money on broads, clothes, drugs, and they stand out.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_03]: So after Dissimon's death, February 10th, 1979, Teresa sitting there at the Herzlone, and her niece was at the end, worked at the shop with her.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_03]: She got a phone call.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_03]: They don't know who was on the other line to this day.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_03]: but she told her knees, hey, I'm gonna be right back.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_03]: I have a chance to make $10,000.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_03]: She left her purse for keys and her fur coat and never ever returned.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_06]: And she told Maria, if I'm not back in 10 minutes, come lookin' for me.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_06]: And that's, and she whispered into ear, I have a chance with this meeting, I have a chance to make, what was it, 10,000?
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_11]: and grand, yep, 10,000 followers.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_06]: And but she did say if I'm not back in 20 minutes, come looking for me.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's exactly what she did.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_03]: I know about a spoke, nobody knew anything.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_03]: The fact that you love to a purse there is weird.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_03]: Like why would you leave your purse?
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_06]: That is weird.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_06]: But the fact that she said if I'm not back in 20 minutes, come looking for, look, come look for me.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_03]: So it was one of those guys.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it was Mario.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it was Burke?
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_03]: Probably, you know, because he was told to go handle this.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_03]: She's a, you know, she's a problem.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_06]: Well, there was that scene in Goodfellows, and I know she wasn't acknowledged in Goodfellows, but there's certainly some weird correlations.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_06]: There was that one scene where she went out to meet, where they said, hey, you want to fur coat, and you said that the broad, she went out in the alleyway, and she was kind of, the woman was standing there, and he goes, go, go further, and then she kind of felt she was going to be whacked, and she ran away.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, there was definitely that feeling among associates of the mob that they were calling in that.
- 1:09:50[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they were, they were whacking people.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_06]: And I just, we know that Theresa was a smart girl.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_06]: So she must have known that she was flying too close to the sun.
- 1:10:01[SPEAKER_06]: How could she not have known?
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_03]: She wasn't dumb, but I think she got a little bit too confident and comfortable, you know, being around them.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_03]: And feeling like, okay, they don't know anything.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_03]: And the FBI should have protected her.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_03]: From that moment on, you know, they should have had a better way to do this.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I think when she got that duplex apartment, what was it in Queens for some like 1500 bucks a month?
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, I think she pretty well.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, Pauli saw her on the radar, and that was it.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, like a salon owner, supposedly operating on a legitimate income, and suddenly she's riding a gravy train with biscuit wheels.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's going to bring, that's the attention that mob, the mob don't want.
- 1:10:48[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, especially with apartment like that, all of a sudden.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I wonder, what were they going to do?
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_03]: Were they going to protect her?
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_03]: If anything happened, you know?
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, her protection was gone, wasn't it?
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they didn't do anything further than, you know, the family was looking for her.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_03]: Nothing.
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_03]: a month goes by, there's still nothing out there.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_06]: But not for long because.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_03]: May 18th, 1979, and it told the other state, and I'll get back to why that's important.
- 1:11:28[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, disappearance was a New York.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_03]: Her, a torso washes up.
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_03]: In Barney, in Jersey.
- 1:11:37[SPEAKER_03]: Jersey, if all the places, that's a last place I'd want to be dead.
- 1:11:40[SPEAKER_03]: But that's where this mysterious torso pops up.
- 1:11:45[SPEAKER_03]: No hands, nothing.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_06]: Just their bobbin' off shore like a husk of corn and a big pot.
- 1:11:52[SPEAKER_00]: Police in Long Island's National County are trying to find out whether a headless torso found out a New Jersey Beach last month is out of the petition with poor missing and February from Queens.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Police say the beautician was 27-year-old Theresa Ferrarra.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: Part owner of Apple Hair Cutters in Long Island.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Police believe Miss Ferrarra was killed because she knew someone who was involved in the $6 million
- 1:12:17[SPEAKER_00]: the torso.
- 1:12:19[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me, the torso was discovered.
- 1:12:21[SPEAKER_00]: May 18th near Tom's river.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_00]: Police are checking this Ferrari's X-rays to compare them with those of the torso.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't even know what it was.
- 1:12:29[SPEAKER_06]: It just saw this shiny thing out there and people who are walking by it for ages before they cut on.
- 1:12:36[SPEAKER_03]: So they pull it out of the water and they take it in.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_03]: This is the part that I like
- 1:12:47[SPEAKER_06]: I know you do jazz, so they brought this torso to St. Bernard as Community Medical Center in Tom's River, New Jersey.
- 1:12:59[SPEAKER_06]: So how they're going to identify this torso, there's no dental work, there's no fingerprints, it's impossible, there's no way to identify this torso.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_03]: it's a Jane okay this is no way to do this and I didn't know it in the seventies they actually had breast implants back then I didn't think that they came around till the eighties but they identified her from her breast implant serial number on fucking believable yeah so they identified they didn't find the rest of her body unfortunately so her family
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'm more decent, very like us, but they had something there, the torso.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, she was brought home.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_03]: Now, they tried to read the family, Maria, the little niece, Maria Sanacor, Stewart, and she tried to get the case reopened.
- 1:13:57[SPEAKER_03]: Now, here's the kicker.
- 1:13:59[SPEAKER_03]: Whoever did this was smart because it was out of their jurisdiction in New York.
- 1:14:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's a totally
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_06]: And you think they did that on purpose?
- 1:14:13[SPEAKER_03]: A hundred percent.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they still don't know who did it.
- 1:14:17[SPEAKER_03]: I think worked at it.
- 1:14:18[SPEAKER_06]: The gentleman Jimmy Burke, Robert DeNiro's character in Goffellus.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_03]: I think Robert DeNiro, not the real one.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_03]: The one that needs, well, not the mirror phrase that.
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_03]: Robert DeNiro in Goodfellus, that character in real life.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, Jimmy, Jimmy, gentlemen Burke.
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_03]: Jimmy gentlemen Burke.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's the one that murdered her because he was a liability.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then they pop up her body.
- 1:14:46[SPEAKER_03]: I wonder what they did with the head and the arms and the legs.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they probably used the head for a peanut bowl and one of those mob clubs.
- 1:14:57[SPEAKER_06]: They had to have done something fucked up.
- 1:14:59[SPEAKER_06]: The legs are a lamp.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, what was speaking about who had something to do with her being white?
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, let's not overlook the DEA that there might have been a ride inside there, the tipped off the mob.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_06]: You know, because the mob had tentacles going everywhere.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, uh, it's obviously a mob hit.
- 1:15:22[SPEAKER_03]: There was heavy mob activity in the tricyc area during that era.
- 1:15:28[SPEAKER_06]: Well, it was definitely the epith center at that time period in that part of the country for, for mob activity.
- 1:15:35[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, you can't deny it.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we know there's only one way she went and I was by the mob.
- 1:15:43[SPEAKER_06]: You know, that's not even open for discussion.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_03]: Deep down, everyone knows, I'm sure her family does, but they don't have the closure they deserve.
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_06]: Well, honey, he's the one who worked at the hairdresser with a wrote a book on it called Looking For Closure, the Theresa Ferraris story, which was a very sad story.
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_03]: I've been very devastating, and I could just only imagine that feeling of sort of really your stomach just drops to the ground.
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:16:11[SPEAKER_06]: I mean,
- 1:16:13[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, she was courting this sort of thing, you know?
- 1:16:19[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I'm like, I'm not one of those individuals or podcasts, who'd be saying, or horror, or I think she's the very clever girl that got over her head and got out clevered because at the end of the day, she was a pretty small cookie.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_06]: And she was virtually playing everyone.
- 1:16:41[SPEAKER_03]: safe than a guy would do, but they just wouldn't be calling him war war war, but I agree with you.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_06]: Now she would have been held up as a feminist, a female icon, and she was competing.
- 1:16:52[SPEAKER_06]: She was a woman competing in a very male world, and when we're talking about the mob,
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_06]: saying it's a very real world isn't understatement.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she was, she was, she was, she thought she was doing and you know, she knew what she was up against.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_03]: But I just don't think she expected it to bite her in the ass.
- 1:17:11[SPEAKER_03]: Whether or not she expected these people to protect her like the FBI.
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what they said to her.
- 1:17:17[SPEAKER_03]: Like what kind of deal was being made.
- 1:17:19[SPEAKER_06]: And the irony is that she wasn't mentioned in Martin's course, say she's 1990 film Good Fellows.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_06]: No, she mentioned in the 1991 TV movie The Million Dollar Getaway that was all about the JFK, heist.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_03]: No, they didn't mention her, but why would they not mention her?
- 1:17:36[SPEAKER_03]: Like, why would they leave it out?
- 1:17:38[SPEAKER_06]: That's a good question that I don't think I have an answer to.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's because of how much she was really involved and they didn't want to sing weak.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_03]: Like a bunch of weak guys, like what could it have been?
- 1:17:49[SPEAKER_06]: Well, certainly the criticism that the FBI and the DEA and all these people, I mean, she was their golden goose.
- 1:17:56[SPEAKER_06]: And a young lady and she was out to raten out all these people and no one was protecting her, not one person.
- 1:18:05[SPEAKER_03]: That could be one reason why they didn't put it in there, and, you know, the folk, they made the whole focus, Henry Hill, that he was the one.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_03]: He was the one.
- 1:18:13[SPEAKER_03]: He was not the one.
- 1:18:15[SPEAKER_03]: You know, that she was there, too.
- 1:18:17[SPEAKER_03]: Give her, you know, give her her credit as well.
- 1:18:20[SPEAKER_06]: I just think it's quite ominous that they haven't used the, I don't know, I just thought there was the, I mean, maybe I'll look direct.
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_06]: Maup rods weren't a fair jacket since stuff, but I do remember that scene specifically of the woman going down the key she's going to get a fair jacket.
- 1:18:36[SPEAKER_06]: I found it very ominous that she left a purse of jacket and keys.
- 1:18:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they probably have to get down here.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't worry about it, please, just come down here now.
- 1:18:47[SPEAKER_03]: The guy I want to find a beer.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_03]: Whoever they're making this deal with allegedly for her to make this alleged money, probably wasn't going to be there for you got to come down now, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I could be happening.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_03]: That's possible.
- 1:19:00[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, this is, this is 70s.
- 1:19:03[SPEAKER_06]: What, what woman would go anywhere without a purse?
- 1:19:07[SPEAKER_03]: Hmm, true.
- 1:19:08[SPEAKER_03]: It also depends where you're going.
- 1:19:10[SPEAKER_03]: But today, probably no, if she came her with her purse, she could whack us in the head with it.
- 1:19:15[SPEAKER_06]: And, well, I mean, yeah, I mean, well, now, I mean, she exists in mob folklore.
- 1:19:24[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, she really is, well, mob folklore.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, the fact that she is her and decimone.
- 1:19:31[SPEAKER_06]: And, you know, the fact she was so high up there and there's nothing.
- 1:19:35[SPEAKER_06]: No tribute to what she brought to the table, mevan is just a hustler.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, there's absolutely nothing about this girl, and she was really responsible for the demise.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_03]: More than Henry Hill, I think.
- 1:19:48[SPEAKER_06]: And not even a worky page.
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_03]: I Hill out to be this big rat.
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_03]: Well, what about her?
- 1:19:54[SPEAKER_06]: Well, exactly.
- 1:19:55[SPEAKER_06]: But I mean, there was just something stylish about what she was doing.
- 1:19:58[SPEAKER_06]: You know, the way she was doing it,
- 1:20:01[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I was 100% I think it's great.

- 1:21:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, they knew that it was her.
- 1:21:24[SPEAKER_03]: And the FBI, I wonder how much they really had her held up against the wall trying to get information because she was just busted for selling cocaine.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_03]: She could have said anything.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_03]: Or she could have said, she could have shut them out too.
