- 0:15Speaker 1: We'll come back to the fuck, We'll come back to
- 0:17creep gust.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Today we are going to be reading two beautiful stories,
- 0:21the first one being which I thought this was a
- 0:23pretty sweet title. Me and my friends are using a
- 0:24wigi board for the first time. It keeps asking people
- 0:27to leave the room. Last time I was around a
- 0:30wigi board, it was actually in Tampa with Isaiah when
- 0:33he refused to.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Mess with it. You don't fuck with wigi boards, don't.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I don't touch them. It's a bridge too close to me.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I'm an. I feel you.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I have met the amount of people that I have
- 0:42met that do not fuck with wigi board. It's it's
- 0:44a it's a large people. People do not People don't
- 0:47like those things. People do not like wigi boards, I'm finding.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I mean, it's like, I understand, it's like a board
- 0:52game that's made by like Mattel or Haspur or whatever.
- 0:55Like I understand the thing itself is just a piece
- 0:57of board, right, But it's more so I don't do
- 1:01any like ritual thing that is in an attempt to
- 1:04contact spirits, Like if someone was breaking up animal bones
- 1:07or doing little sigils and stuff, whatd it messed with
- 1:09that either, like anything that looks like I'm trying to
- 1:12make a phone call not interested.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Well, that's fucking you know, what's your choice. I have
- 1:17done wigi boards many times, never had anything happen. I uh,
- 1:22except when I was younger. My mom did it, and
- 1:23she tortured me with it. Uh for like I'm not
- 1:26even joking. A whole weekend she did just put on
- 1:29this whole elaborate rousee to scare me.
- 1:30Speaker 4: And it was very rude. Uh So.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Yeah, well what did uh? How did she torture you
- 1:40with it?
- 1:40Speaker 2: She kept fucking with the light, She'd go to the
- 1:42breaker box, it kept like turned the breakers on and off,
- 1:46all kinds of stuff, slamming doors, and like it's truly
- 1:50like a child raising a child, is what it felt like.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I was bullied, needless to say, oh right, I think
- 1:57that's good for her to do that, and I think
- 1:59she should have done No.
- 2:00Speaker 4: I think we don't have to get into or anything.
- 2:02Speaker 2: But I just know that, you know what, treat your
- 2:04children with respect, don't intentionally scare them.
- 2:07Speaker 4: You know that's just me.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Uh, And I will say, Isaiah gave me the gift
- 2:11that keeps on giving, which Isaiah sent me a video
- 2:14of himself crashing his recycle.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Go ahead and roll that now, No, no, we don't.
- 2:33Speaker 2: The funniest part of this too, is we were talking
- 2:35about it and he says, you know, I was only
- 2:37going that slows because.
- 2:38Speaker 1: The battery was dead.
- 2:39Speaker 4: As if he's Travis Pastrana driving.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Around in his house, a bunch of red Bull drones
- 2:45flying around your property watching you hit your dirt bike.
- 2:48Speaker 4: I assume this had to come up because I have
- 2:50to explain why I'm wearing these.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Yes, okay, the motorcycle battery which.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Also for people who don't know who are listening on audio,
- 2:57what is on your hands right now?
- 2:59Speaker 4: Bandages, A bunch of gaus and tape and stuff like that.
- 3:05Just what happened is I was trying to drive the motorcycle,
- 3:11but the battery was dead, so you have to do
- 3:12It's called a rolling start, where kick it into first
- 3:16gear with the key turned over, and then as you're
- 3:20once you pick up speed, you flip it into second
- 3:23while the motor's still off, and then you gas it.
- 3:26So you're trying to force the motor to turn over
- 3:29without the starter. So what that means is you go
- 3:32from idling, like messing with your gears and all that
- 3:34to second gear all at once. And I'm sure I
- 3:37didn't guess.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I've said this before for me once again, there are
- 3:41in audio that can't see the video that is just
- 3:43definitely on repeat right now that I'm gonna have them.
- 3:46Speaker 4: It looks like a va couldn't could not look like
- 3:49more of like an eighty six year old man on
- 3:54like a French mobpad going around a corner and then
- 3:57just having a heart attack and toppling to the This
- 4:01is what it looks like. And then what happens is
- 4:03Isaiah sent me there's it's like a six minute long video.
- 4:06The rest of that that's ten seconds. The rest of
- 4:09these six minutes is spent with Isaiah just pace it
- 4:12around to the point we're like where the like it's
- 4:18it's what's like that important that he showed me him
- 4:21being like, yeah, this is me really just kind of
- 4:22like just kind of feeling it out. No, I clipped
- 4:26the minute. I clipped the minute of the wreck. There
- 4:28was only a snarty camera.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Oh my god, it felt like eternity.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Well, I clipped the minute and I sent it to you,
- 4:34saw Ree. I didn't edit it for you. You should have,
- 4:37because as soon as I wrecked, I stood up and
- 4:40I was bleeding from my hands and leg.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So I paced for a while, like you're okay, you.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Can feel your bones, You're okay, You're okay, like kind
- 4:47of walking off. Yeah, like it's I you're still this.
- 4:52I don't. I can flex my leg all the way.
- 4:54I was doing that whole thing. Did I send you
- 4:56the video of the injury. No, I haven't seen any
- 4:59of the pure injury so far.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I am curious to see your little Arby's roast beef
- 5:04mits whatever.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Hold on, I got a couple of picts of that.
- 5:08We can't put it in the episode. Yeah, definitely. Two.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Well, the fact that you need bandages, I'm very curious
- 5:15to see what it what it looks like here. And
- 5:18then also, by the way, we're reading Ronald McDonald house afterwards,
- 5:22Uh that's the second story.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Oh wowie, oh yow.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:27Speaker 4: I cut myself in my hands and then that left
- 5:29hand skipped and while I was bleeding, I was looking
- 5:33down at it and I could see little striations under
- 5:35the skin.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, those are muscles. That's awesome, that's great.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I feel screat this is actually, uh, it's so funny.
- 5:44Speaker 4: This is funny given the context of the video.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's it's very funny that this is actually a very
- 5:48looks like fuck it for people that don't and it
- 5:50looks like Freddy k Krueger's face is what is uh?
- 5:54Is what his injuries look like. We'll put it up
- 5:55on the Patreon, which also take you to the patrons.
- 5:58Put it up on the pat got out on the
- 6:00page rounds, So if you want to see some blood
- 6:01and gore from Isaiah, feel free. But the thank you
- 6:05to our patrons for supporting us and getting some extra
- 6:07content on the side.
- 6:08Speaker 4: And then also thank you to audio listeners who.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Are listening this on Spotify, Apple Podcasting where you can
- 6:12listen to podcasts and giving us a nice rating.
- 6:14Speaker 4: We appreciate you. Isaiah just want to jump right in.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Yeah, did you even say what the second story we're reading?
- 6:20Speaker 1: You know, I said Ron McDonald house, I said it.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Oh, okay, I didn't hear you say that. Okay.
- 6:25Speaker 4: I also want to say, to match the cast, I'm
- 6:28wearing a five Nights at Freddy's T shirt that I
- 6:30found at a gas station. Wow rural Appalachia. So wow,
- 6:34it's really I got the whole fit going on, you know,
- 6:37really is quite the wow drip check. Definitely our first
- 6:41story me and my friends are used in a Ouiji
- 6:43board for the first time, keeps asking people.
- 6:45Speaker 3: To leave the room was written by world Away Tweety.
- 6:48Speaker 4: World Away Tweety actually writes a ton of stories for
- 6:51no sleep they write. It says on in their bio
- 6:55that they write spooky stories and screenplays. So they've got
- 6:59a ton of stuff, some of it written for nose,
- 7:01leaves of it written for the screen They've been writing
- 7:03for years, it looks like, and there's dozens of stories
- 7:05on their page, so we'll have that linked in the description.
- 7:07Be sure to check them out if you enjoy it.
- 7:09And our other art author today will talk about but
- 7:11it seems that the story we'll be reading for them
- 7:12is the only story they've posted, and they haven't posted
- 7:14in thirteen years. That's a great sign. We'll go ahead
- 7:17and get into it with the Ouiji board story hunter.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Are you ready?
- 7:21Speaker 4: Oh, I'm ready.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Let's begin.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Also, if anybody, if anybody has a Wigi board while
- 7:26we read this, I would say put it out.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I'd say don't do that, But you know what you're
- 7:30an adult. You apathetically, so.
- 7:32Speaker 1: You do what you gotta do. But I say, must
- 7:33out that Wigi board.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Yeah, get that Ouiji board?
- 7:37Speaker 4: Going okay, Me and my friends are using a Ouiji
- 7:40board for the first time, keeps asking people to leave
- 7:43the room. I'm using this post to chronicle the events
- 7:45of this evening, as they've been truly fascinating.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Some quick backstory.
- 7:50Speaker 4: The small section of the city that me and my
- 7:52friends live is generally known to be haunted, and even
- 7:55if you're not a believer in the supernatural, it's at
- 7:58least a bit eerie. Going to dogs myself by stating
- 8:01the location, but let's just say that creepy sightings and
- 8:04murders deaths due to unexplainable circumstances are our bread and butter.
- 8:08For most people, this means you move away as soon
- 8:11as they can. For folks like me and my friends,
- 8:13who absolutely love all things spine hilling, it generally makes
- 8:17for a pretty good time. Our Halloween parties are awesome.
- 8:20Most of our drinking nights have some sort of spooky
- 8:22game and are laced into them, And if you have
- 8:24literally nothing to do on a Friday night with your friends,
- 8:27you can always go on a tour of some of
- 8:29our haunted locales, graveyards, abandoned buildings, creepy forests, you name it.
- 8:34So with that background established, let's cut back to tonight.
- 8:37Did you did you when you were in college and
- 8:40stuff like that? Did you ever do all that? Because
- 8:43like I would go to like abandoned buildings and like
- 8:46there are a bunch of after parties on like spooky
- 8:48in the woods and stuff like that.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Did you do anything like that? Now?
- 8:52Speaker 2: I was more like when I was in middle school,
- 8:55middle school things, we didn't really have much to do.
- 8:57So then you just wait for your like if you're
- 8:59at your buddies for their parents to go sleep, and
- 9:01you get like walk out into like the country or whatever,
- 9:04you know what I mean.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Yeah, do that kind of thing.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Oh, we're gonna go out to the river. It's gonna
- 9:08be spooky. Yeah. Yeah, I told you, Kaylin I met
- 9:11ghost hunting right.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah, dude. It's a magical, lovely tale. Very romantic with that,
- 9:17very romantic.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Uh. And I would love to hear it again.
- 9:23Speaker 3: There was so much sarcasm, babe.
- 9:25Speaker 4: No, man, I would love to actually have to sit
- 9:27through that one more time. It would be great. You're
- 9:32such sure. No, I don't know.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Have you ever told it on this the podcast?
- 9:37Speaker 4: Though?
- 9:38Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't care anymore.
- 9:41Speaker 2: It's it's it's actually like, it's a pretty phenomenal story.
- 9:43You should just say it, stupid.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Little I'm not I'm being honest. I'm not being facetious
- 9:52at all. I'm saying that it's legitimately, like really really
- 9:55good and you should.
- 9:55Speaker 1: You should say it.
- 9:56Speaker 4: I'm just gonna keep I can't step back. Kyle and
- 9:59I met goes tunny. That's the whole story. It's all
- 10:01you need to know. It's all to get out of
- 10:03me right now. I can't do this right now. You
- 10:05guys are mentioning out. It's a real tear drigger.
- 10:08Speaker 3: I'm gonna I'm gonna say the text that you sent
- 10:11me earlier.
- 10:11Speaker 4: You don't need to say that. That's a joke between friends,
- 10:16is what that is? Uhh yeah, yeah, okay. Me and
- 10:18my closest three pals decided to try our hand at
- 10:21using a Ouiji board. Were we going to be normal
- 10:23and try the Ouiji board in one of our family addicts?
- 10:27Speaker 3: Nah? Too basic?
- 10:28Speaker 4: We instead decided to track up together to what I
- 10:31shit you not is an abandoned treehouse left in an
- 10:34elevated section of our city, surrounded by forests.
- 10:37Speaker 3: What could go wrong? Right?
- 10:38Speaker 2: Don't like that I would do it, just stick to
- 10:41my living room. I would be too much of a
- 10:43pussy to go up and be like, you know what,
- 10:45let's go to that abandoned tree house in the middle
- 10:48of the forest.
- 10:49Speaker 3: No, sir, No, no, no, it's in an elevated section
- 10:52of the city.
- 10:53Speaker 4: I guess it kind of means, like, you know how
- 10:55like in La there's like, you know, the like wooded
- 10:58hills and they.
- 11:00Speaker 3: That's what mean.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I guess that's what it means. We climbed
- 11:03up to the treehouse, set down a spooky themed rug,
- 11:05lit some candles, and brought out the Wiji board. Despite
- 11:09my pretty extensive resume, I off dealing with all things creepy.
- 11:12I never actually tried a Wigi board before, so I
- 11:14was really excited to see what would happen. We went
- 11:16into this excited to break every role in the book.
- 11:19We weren't going to do a seance. We were going
- 11:21to ask whatever we want, and we didn't need to
- 11:24worry about being respectful of the spirits, etc. We figured
- 11:27if something interesting were to happen, it'd be more likely
- 11:30if we went.
- 11:31Speaker 3: In as care free as possible.
- 11:33Speaker 4: We set in a circle around the Wiji board and
- 11:35got started asking the simple question is there a spirit
- 11:38with us? With all of our hands placed on the
- 11:40plant shed no real response. We fluttered the plant shed
- 11:45in a few different directions, but we could tell we
- 11:47were kind of forcing it. We asked a few other questions.
- 11:50Speaker 1: What's your name?
- 11:52Speaker 4: When'd you die? But nothing really came of it. After
- 11:55trying for the next half hour and not really getting
- 11:57anything in the form of a response, we decided that
- 12:00we probably didn't have any spooky luck tonight and opted
- 12:03instead to share scary stories in the treehouse. We've left
- 12:06the wigi board out just in case we get luckier.
- 12:09Later in the night, amidst the breaking our storytelling, where
- 12:12everyone was grabbing drinks and snacks from their bags, I
- 12:14decided to give the wigi board another quick go place
- 12:17my hand on the plant she had alone, and whispered
- 12:19the following question.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Will you please grace us with your presence tonight?
- 12:25Speaker 4: That's what does it when you skip into like the
- 12:27old English dialogue vernacular, that's when it happens.
- 12:32Speaker 1: That's what you have to do.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Will you put grace us with your prisons tonight?
- 12:36Speaker 3: Yeah? You just have to sound like an oil man
- 12:38from the twenties.
- 12:39Speaker 2: You know what I do? I try to put something
- 12:42in the backpack and just like leave it open. Something
- 12:44the ghost would have to kind of like peer what's
- 12:46in there and have something a little tempting where then
- 12:49it would be like, oh, okay, I'm gonna I want
- 12:51to start messing with that. I want I want to
- 12:53start interacting with these guys are pretty cool.
- 12:55Speaker 4: What do you mean by tempting? I don't know, man,
- 12:58what would you tempt a ghost with? Depends on the ghost,
- 13:00I guess, just the way it just depends on the.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Some kit Cats or some twinkies.
- 13:13Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:14Speaker 3: You are laying into me this up.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I think you know what I do. I would do
- 13:17a couple of different things. What did I do that
- 13:19made it so upset? No, don't don't deflights. What did
- 13:22I do that made you so upset?
- 13:23Speaker 1: You know what I do?
- 13:24Speaker 2: I take a picture of my take a naughty picture
- 13:25of myself, a little polaroid, and I'd put it in
- 13:27the bag and I'd leave.
- 13:28Speaker 4: It over I knew when you said something to tempt
- 13:30the ghost, I knew it would be in that direction.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Why did you go mister rogers with it?
- 13:34Speaker 4: If that was a well, I don't know, it depends
- 13:36who the.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Okay, what what did I do?
- 13:37Speaker 4: Why are you mad? What did I I'm not mad?
- 13:40Just saying the way you said it was so flavorful.
- 13:42It really is. It's like a goddamn between this and
- 13:45me bringing up like that's how you kill it. So
- 13:47you're like, wow, really like what it's got your goat?
- 13:51Speaker 1: Right now?
- 13:52Speaker 4: Nothing?
- 13:53Speaker 1: Nothing?
- 13:54Speaker 4: All right? I guess I guess if I guess I
- 13:57would tempt a ghost with the chocolate bar.
- 13:59Speaker 3: How's that?
- 13:59Speaker 4: That's all? Something? Right?
- 14:01Speaker 3: The ghost is like? Who chocolate? I like that? How's that?
- 14:04Speaker 4: I mean?
- 14:05Speaker 2: You're just I mean, you're setting yourself up for all
- 14:06these I'm yep, Chocolate's good my hand.
- 14:11Speaker 4: Okay, go ahead, go ahead.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Where you say.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I tipped goes with the chocolate bar?
- 14:19Speaker 4: Is there? It is? Use that voice. You're the one
- 14:26who's doing it. You're intentionally doing You're fucking with me.
- 14:29Speaker 1: You're definitely fun.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:31Speaker 4: I I I attacked him because he was asking for it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: What do you think it should do. What the do
- 14:39you think a ghost wants with some chocolate if he's
- 14:40sitting there night.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Imagine it's your naked polic Imagine me on a jet
- 14:45ski dude, speedo on and I'm spread open. I'm talking
- 14:50like you can't even believe that a human could be
- 14:52So I'm like a goddamn wishbone. You spread me over.
- 14:55I mean, I'm flexible, been to me before I snap.
- 14:58I'm saying that that you're telling me a ghost if
- 15:00a ghost is on earth. First off, is the ghost
- 15:03logic that we're using is that the ghost is in
- 15:05like a purgatory? Do do ghost?
- 15:07Speaker 1: Are they?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Do they because they realize they don't know that they're dead? Right,
- 15:12that's the kind of that's the idea.
- 15:13Speaker 4: No one's established that, but sure, in general, in general,
- 15:17if there's a ghost, what I'm just saying that ghost
- 15:19is interacting with a Ouiji board.
- 15:23Speaker 3: They know they're a ghost or spirit or whatever.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Okay, well I didn't know that because sometimes a lot
- 15:26of people say is that ghosts don't realize that they'd
- 15:29sold on.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Do you think a normal guy who doesn't know his
- 15:31dead is going to come across a polaroid of view
- 15:33and be hello hunter, I think a lot of people would. Yeah, dude,
- 15:36I'm not saying that. Listen, I would say that as
- 15:39a whole package, it's not impressive. But there's a couple
- 15:42of hamhawks I think could turn some heads.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Or more than would be more than would be interested
- 15:47in chocolate.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Honestly, self and I and I hate to be and
- 15:50I'm not trying to peacock, but yes, I think that
- 15:52I think I could. I think I could bust out.
- 15:54I think I could like someone I would bust a
- 15:57nut over myself over than like a Hershey.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Aer a game or Delis. I guess what I'm saying,
- 16:01like I would turn heads.
- 16:07Speaker 3: All right, I can't. I have nothing to add to that.
- 16:09Speaker 2: They called me that my nickname was a Chinese finger
- 16:12trap for like two or three years.
- 16:13Speaker 4: All right, we don't need to get into that nickname story.
- 16:17I like to bear when your mom was turning the
- 16:19lights off, that was better Chinese finger trap. You're just
- 16:23you're just constantly on you just it's it's like a
- 16:27little chatter teeth. It's just going around. Like it's true.
- 16:29Speaker 3: People like there's always get stuck able bit or something.
- 16:33Speaker 4: People get stuck in.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm like, you gotta squeeze and push if you want
- 16:37to get out of this. What was the dragon's name
- 16:45of Mulan? That's what they called me. They do I
- 16:49do an Eddie Murphy impression, but I can't anymore.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Just wasn't it wasn't it wasn't it moose so Mosho?
- 17:04Speaker 4: Damn? I forgot. Disney was holding back to like it's
- 17:07about a Chinese girl. You hah. The direct called Mousho.
- 17:09Speaker 2: We're gonna call her sweet and sour, but we decided
- 17:11against it.
- 17:13Speaker 1: God, damn, holy hell called the little dragon general Chow.
- 17:20Speaker 3: The chatter teeth bar bar gosh.
- 17:25Speaker 1: We should restart this paragraph because I'm lost.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Okay, Well, I ended the paragraph said please, you said,
- 17:33well you please graces with your presence tonight. So that's
- 17:35a new paragraph. Okay, all right, so okay, we're good. Surprisingly,
- 17:38the plan chat started moving. It's hard to explain, but
- 17:42you kind of know when something is moving on its
- 17:44own versus you sort of subtly and subconsciously moving it
- 17:47with your hand to force an answer. This felt real.
- 17:50Tangle went up my spine. It was cool as hell.
- 17:54My hand was moved to the following letters, y E
- 17:58s awesome. I look over to the group and told
- 18:01him that the Ouiji board was working again. Excidedly, we
- 18:04all huddled around and placed our hands on the plant chat.
- 18:07Speaker 3: I followed up with another question.
- 18:09Speaker 4: Where are you from? We sat there excitedly waiting for something. Instead,
- 18:13nothing plan Chat was still. The lack of any sort
- 18:16of external force with us was very, very obvious disappointing,
- 18:21But I had an idea I wanted to follow up with.
- 18:24Speaker 3: I turned to my friend Kevin and asked him.
- 18:26Speaker 4: You want to try doing a solo? It worked for me.
- 18:29Kevin was confused, but he decided to give it a try.
- 18:31We all backed up to give him some space with
- 18:33the Wuiji board. He placed his hand on the plant
- 18:35shet and repeated my question, where are you from? His
- 18:38expression changed to shock as his hands started moving with
- 18:41the plant chat.
- 18:42Speaker 3: He turned to all of us and mouthed, I'm not
- 18:45doing this, to.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Which I excitedly mouthed back. I pulled out a notepad
- 18:49and recorded the answer. As a plan Chat went from
- 18:51letter to letter, it recorded the following not important, love
- 18:56it a spirit with some sass. I asked Kevin about Yeah,
- 18:59I'll also say this a lot of times we get
- 19:02annoyed by like casual language and stuff like that in
- 19:04the story because it comes out of nowhere, or is
- 19:06it or it isn't fitting. This is like a group
- 19:07of friends in high school or whatever going out with
- 19:10the Wiji boards, So like the vernacular fills fitting.
- 19:13Speaker 3: You know.
- 19:13Speaker 4: They're also idiots. Yeah, yeah, it's just being dumb and like, oh,
- 19:17play with the Wiji boards.
- 19:18Speaker 2: So like it's also the idea that this thing is
- 19:21actually moving. Okay, this thing's actually moving, and it's just like, okay,
- 19:25a ghost.
- 19:25Speaker 1: With some sass.
- 19:27Speaker 4: God, this is this is a guy that is like
- 19:29he's gonna be flying around the room later with like
- 19:32a noose around. It's like a perfect juxtaposition. Oh my god,
- 19:38this guy has some sass. Later his death corpse is
- 19:42gonna be flying exactly. He shouldn't have offered him chocolate
- 19:55drop the jungle board'll bring the spirits power. While the
- 20:01spirits showing them like every death and every murder just
- 20:05blood pouring from its eyes, screaming, the chocolate bark, the
- 20:10god juggle war, scariest ghost just there's like hell fire
- 20:18like animal sacrifice, and they're treated it like the goonies, like, yeah,
- 20:24ever die, what will you have no grasp about serious situation.
- 20:33It's like, you get a hold of yourself. You have
- 20:35no idea what you're up against. The lord you're speaking
- 20:39to the Lord of the flies. You gotta get it together,
- 20:43because even if there's been times when I was a
- 20:45kid where it's like, even if somebody's faking it.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I loose my mind.
- 20:50Speaker 4: And every time when I was a kid, I was like,
- 20:52oh my god, I was freaking out.
- 20:55Speaker 2: So just having this happen several times, I would be like, Okay, cool,
- 20:58we're done.
- 21:00Speaker 4: And we're going home.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I'm done.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Also, he has sass? Is he like a fucking is
- 21:04he a character like a Tyler Perry movie. I'm like,
- 21:06this is a fucking ethereal being.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Was boots scooting? Let's get the fuck out of here?
- 21:13Good lord?
- 21:14Speaker 3: We uh we In college went time.
- 21:15Speaker 4: We were playing with a wigi board around campus and
- 21:18there was uh one building that burnt down years ago,
- 21:23and there was a legend on campus that you'd see
- 21:25a woman in the dress, like a like Civil War
- 21:28era dress walking around in the in the building that
- 21:31was built in the remnants of the old one. And
- 21:34I remember I remember we went up there in the
- 21:36hill and we were like who are you? And two
- 21:39people were playing and it spelled out like uh uh,
- 21:44it's like girl and we're like, oh, the girl in
- 21:46the dress. And then one guy is playing by himself.
- 21:48He's like what happened? And then it spelled out fire
- 21:51and I just left.
- 21:54Speaker 1: But I don't blame you though.
- 21:57Speaker 4: That one guy message just left. Yeah, I would be
- 22:01I'm a giant boss.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I'd be like, no, thank you, even if it says
- 22:05something like nice love. Actually that's even more threatening love.
- 22:08Speaker 4: I'd be like, okay, well I thought that was your
- 22:12whole strategy with the polaroid. Now I'm you know, I
- 22:15like to tempt. I don't like to act.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Oh okay, you like to be a little teased.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I like to be a little teased to the paranoma.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Bit.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I see little window shopping form. That's about it.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I see I got you the other side of the glass. Yeah, exactly.
- 22:28Every kiss, Every kiss begins with k is. When I
- 22:30say looking in love, it a spirit with some sass.
- 22:34I asked keV to back up for a seconds. I
- 22:36approached the Ouiji board for one final solo question.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I asked why are you only responding when it's one
- 22:43of us using the board?
- 22:44Speaker 4: Yet again, the plan she had moved effortlessly within my hand.
- 22:48It was faster this time, so I said the letters
- 22:50out loud and had another one of my friends, Eleonora,
- 22:53transcribe onto my notepad. The answer was one at a time,
- 22:58fair enough, I think thee My hand's still on the
- 23:01plant chat. I appreciate your ANSWER's friend. To my surprise
- 23:04and a strange synergy between me and the spirit, I
- 23:08felt compelled to move the plan set again. It was
- 23:10the fastest it had ever been this time, as it
- 23:12covered the following letters. Tell everyone else to leave. Huh,
- 23:23that's a little weird. That's a little quirky. First off,
- 23:27I shall say ten want us to leave. I mean,
- 23:30I would be shitting bricks right now. Huh.
- 23:34Speaker 3: He's gonna be like he's gonna be like the.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Guy at the end of The Hereditary where he's in
- 23:39the treehouse, just like getting possessed and there's headless bodies everywhere.
- 23:46He looks around. Everyone's head less and naked, like bowing
- 23:51that trumpet music. That's a little julier, don't you think, Eleanora,
- 24:02She's just like she's skindle high, it's crucified on the wall.
- 24:09Speaker 3: That's a little weird.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Don't you say what you doing up there on me?
- 24:17His buddy. He looks to his buddy, who's like his
- 24:20mouth's and a scream in his head spinning, and he
- 24:23was like, that's a coold trick, the ghost teaching that.
- 24:26I love the idea too. This happened to you. You
- 24:28went outside and getting your mocycle immediately crash, just like,
- 24:36just like all of it is from one camera angle
- 24:38of being slowly going down the ladder, getting on the bike,
- 24:42can't start it, tries to roll it, crash.
- 24:45Speaker 1: It was so slow because I had to do a
- 24:47rolling star.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Yeah start, start because the battery does it. Yeah, I
- 24:53just explained the whole process. Oh, approach should change that better.
- 25:02I like the idea of someone being confronted with like
- 25:05actual like scary demons, spirits, whatever, but it's like a
- 25:09Scooby Doo movie.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Like, yeah, cheaper. I don't want to say so far.
- 25:14I did like that little turn that was kind of
- 25:16that that kind of fucked me up a little bit.
- 25:17Tell everyone else to leave. Fuck that, dude.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I love those huh good.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I just couldn't hold in the laugh of just
- 25:25the literal line.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Huh huh, I got I got it.
- 25:31Speaker 4: It's all it's kind of campy, like being confronted with
- 25:33the real whrror with such casualness to it. It's time
- 25:37to talk about something scary, your health. I know I
- 25:41don't go in the doctor as much as I should.
- 25:43If I'm feeling sick, I'll just lie in bed and

- 28:56Their link will be in the description and we are
- 28:58now back to the episode. My friend looked at me
- 29:00skeptically as I said the letters at a time. Are
- 29:03you sure you didn't force that on purpose, asked Eleanora.
- 29:06I assured her, I definitely didn't. That was definitely from
- 29:09the spirit, which that's one of the I think I'm
- 29:11a sure earlier. That's one of the big deals with
- 29:13like Ouiji boards, you can't play it by yourself because
- 29:16the whole point's like connected energies or whatever around the
- 29:19plan chet. So if you're playing it by yourself, it's
- 29:21a one way between you and the spirit, so the
- 29:23spirit wins every time. Oh I see. At this point,
- 29:26this had been the most clearly supernatural phenomena I'd ever
- 29:29experienced in my life, and I was excited to keep
- 29:31it going. My friends, usually unflinching and made of ice,
- 29:35were a little bit thrown. Eleanora and Martin looked ever
- 29:39so slightly spooked, but keV was willing to go with it.
- 29:42I might as well see where this goes, keV said,
- 29:45as he started climbing down from the treehouse with a
- 29:47slight bit of hesitation. Eleanora and Martin followed suit. Sweet
- 29:52an actually creepy night. I embraced the quiet amidst the
- 29:55lighting of the candles and the power of the Ouiji board.
- 29:58Speaker 3: I geared up for my next question. I wasn't gonna
- 30:00hold back spirit.
- 30:02Speaker 4: How will I die? Brother's just dying, No hesitation, no surrender.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Literal goodies. Fucking Slock shows up.
- 30:19Speaker 4: And rips when app because it's not like it's not
- 30:22like he's like, oh I don't believe this, Like he
- 30:24thinks he's talking to something beyond the veil, not something
- 30:28we cannot be on the veil. But it was more
- 30:30fucked up is that he does not care what is
- 30:32beyond the veil. He doesn't given I would give your
- 30:35God or the devil holl the come on, man, just
- 30:42immediately diving into like a thing that you should never have.
- 30:47Speaker 5: Ever?
- 30:48Speaker 1: What what kind of sick?
- 30:50Speaker 3: Okay?
- 30:50Speaker 1: Great?
- 30:51Speaker 4: The hell I die.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I'm glad.
- 30:53Speaker 4: I'm glad. I know that now. Thanks man, you know,
- 30:56I mean, what do you do? Theluichi boards like car
- 30:58and you're like, great, to be scared forever, you know, ship.
- 31:05I took in a deep breath, waiting for some movement
- 31:08slowly depends. Interesting answer. This is literally Fred from Scooby
- 31:18Doo like a game. If not a bit underwhelming, I
- 31:24geared up for my follow up, Oh.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Come on, spirit, what about something a bit more specifics.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I've never wanted people to die so bad.
- 31:34Speaker 4: Honestly, it's about to get ripped out of that tree.
- 31:37It's gonna be so satisfying. It's gonna look like have
- 31:43you ever seen a skyhook the way they used to
- 31:45pick up people in the military, where they put a
- 31:47balloon in the air in the plane hits the balloon
- 31:50and just off the crowd, it's gonna look like that
- 31:54straight down the wall, it's gonna look like that little
- 31:57kid fucking around face pit being dragged around that goddamn
- 32:00it's gonna look like you know what you do, what
- 32:05you do? You're like, oh, something more specific, and it's
- 32:07like gorilla, and you're like, oh God. Then turned around.
- 32:12There's a gorilla the jungle that's in the distance getting louder.
- 32:31That means, so.
- 32:33Speaker 3: You're your friend outside, like, is that a gorilla?
- 32:37Speaker 2: Just the thundering pounds of gorilla's fucking fist into the earth.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Sounds like a horse galloping towards you. Oh, you asked
- 32:48the gorilla question, you said, imagine word. My hand moved
- 32:54with the plan chat to the following letters. I try
- 32:56hard to focus and connect the letters. Since I didn't
- 32:58have anyone to transcribe with to me, what is your name?
- 33:03Speaker 1: Weird completely dodged.
- 33:05Speaker 3: My question.
- 33:07Speaker 4: Completely to my question, completely dodged my question and asked
- 33:13me my name. Okay, all knowing spirit, I assumed you'd
- 33:17already know that. I decided to try tricking it. My
- 33:20name's Belle. Movement from the plant shed on Theluigi Board
- 33:23took me to the letters do not lie, my God,
- 33:28well played spirit. It takes them back to the previous question.
- 33:37It says too gorilla. Every time he's too quirky, it
- 33:49just adds a gorilla. I gave the spirit my actual name, Jennifer,
- 33:57and continue to see the follow up response, what is
- 34:00your favorite food? Honoring the Spirit's rules, I opted to
- 34:04tell the truth instead of following up with another lie.
- 34:07Your girl loved the writing. I like it. It's charming.
- 34:11Speaker 3: It's charming with what's going on.
- 34:13Speaker 4: But man, your girl loves don air and the spirit deserves.
- 34:16Speaker 3: To know that.
- 34:17Speaker 4: What is don air? I don't know. Don Air we
- 34:19see sounds like an airline.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Donair is a popular Canadian food, Oh God. Originating in Nova, Scotia.
- 34:26It's a variation of donor kebab featuring spice ground beef
- 34:30sliced from a rotating cone, served in opinion, peeda bread
- 34:34with tomatoes, onions and unique sweet.
- 34:36Speaker 4: It's just like a It's like a taco. Yeah, it's
- 34:39a gentrified taco.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Got it? Theluigi Board's response correct.
- 34:44Speaker 4: Before I could take in the affirmation from the spirit,
- 34:47Who's asking who questions here? Spirit followed up with yet
- 34:50another question, what is your biggest fear? Do not lie?
- 34:57Speaker 3: God?
- 34:57Speaker 1: Dude, how do you not take this of? Like, Okay,
- 35:01I'm definitely going to die this way. What's your favorite food?
- 35:06Speaker 4: I don't know, just like a kabab? All right.
- 35:09Speaker 1: What's the worst possible way you'd want to die?
- 35:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Maybe three gorillas?
- 35:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know, getting attacked by a colony of gorillas.
- 35:24Speaker 4: The tree just starts shaking. It's like, oh, what's that?
- 35:28This question took me back a bit. I wasn't really
- 35:30afraid of anything, or so I thought, so I struggled
- 35:33with it. It took me a few moments. I really
- 35:37really thought of it. I kind of cringed at the answer.
- 35:40Speaker 3: But it was my truth.
- 35:41Speaker 4: Something horrible happening to my little brother. I'm is gonna
- 35:50be fine.
- 35:53Speaker 5: That lite girl girl to sit her brother to the
- 35:56chadow kid, I never come back, Exodia, fuck.
- 36:12Speaker 4: That thing off. Evangelion's gonna shove up the giant triangle
- 36:16with the laser or that or two gorillas. No movement
- 36:25from the Ouiji board. Seconds turn into minutes as I
- 36:28kept my hand. Yeah, the time it was taken these
- 36:31minutes to kill your little brother. Seconds turn into minutes
- 36:34as I kept my hand awkwardly placed on the plant chet.
- 36:36Then finally, thank you send Eleanora. Well, I oblige. I
- 36:45thank the spirit for its time and decided to climb
- 36:47down from the treehouse where my friend's waiting. Passed on
- 36:51the spirit's message and told Eleanora it was her turn.
- 36:54I do like this idea of having to kind of
- 36:55like take turns going up this is like, this ritual
- 36:59of having to climb back of the treehouse is like
- 37:01pretty fucking unnerving.
- 37:03Speaker 1: And then just being up there obviously with like some
- 37:05kind of other entity is creepy.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I said Hereditary earlier as a joke. But
- 37:10in the early scenes of Hereditary, how the sister would
- 37:12sleep in that treehouse? Yeah, yeah, up the ladder and
- 37:16there was like a there was an uncanniness to how
- 37:19different it was in the space around it.
- 37:20Speaker 3: It's what it makes me think of.
- 37:22Speaker 4: It's also funny imagine Eleanor gets there. It's like, what's
- 37:24your biggest fear? And Eleanor is like, uh, probably something
- 37:27happened to Jennifer's little brother. They're just stacking the Kurtses
- 37:32on this kid, Martin, Kevin I spent what must have
- 37:35been fifteen minutes standing outside the treehouse while Eleanora was
- 37:37up there. We'd pull drinks out of our bags, and
- 37:40we're discussing my experience with Luigi board so far. Both
- 37:43were incredibly surprised when I told them that the spirit
- 37:46was asking me questions. What kinds of questions, generic stuff
- 37:50like my name, favorite food, you know, weird. Both Kevin
- 37:54Martin seemed to be thrown off by it, but I
- 37:56was excited. We looked up at the treehouse as we
- 37:58heard the sounds of someone climbing down. Eleanora had finished
- 38:01her session. She looked traumatized.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Was it weird?
- 38:06Speaker 4: All it did was ask me questions, questions like my name,
- 38:11my favorite hobby, my biggest fear. That one took a
- 38:15while for me to answer. keV turned to me, that's
- 38:18a little bit eerie.
- 38:19Speaker 3: I agreed.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Didn't look like Eleanora was loving it either, but still
- 38:23spirit asking us questions. This has been one of the coolest,
- 38:26if not the coolest, paranormal experiences I've ever experienced in
- 38:30my life.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Eleonora turned to Martin.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I said that you were up next.
- 38:33Speaker 3: It's funny the casualness, the approaching.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Well see also it's uh, I like that.
- 38:38Speaker 2: It kind of is a big goof at the beginning,
- 38:40but there is there is a turn happening like that's yeah, yeah,
- 38:43there's a realization, albeit slow, very slow.
- 38:47Speaker 1: But it's a fun revelation nonetheless.
- 38:51Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like it starts with like, well, haha, funny
- 38:55to mean, but now it's like they're all like, oh,
- 38:57this is kind of a little weird. Yeah, it's also
- 39:01funny that they're not more freaked out by it, where
- 39:04it not only knows all their names, but it's asking
- 39:06them the same questions and they're not really attributing a
- 39:09way to that yet, like they probably should be. I'm
- 39:14sure that will bode well for them in the future.
- 39:16Speaker 1: It'll be fine.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Yeah, they'll be okay. Martin Sessions seem longer than the others.
- 39:21Speaker 4: We stood outside drinking, talking about the happening so far
- 39:25and pulling out the occasional snack. That was a little
- 39:28bit traumatizing, said Eleanora. Kevin pointed to her and then
- 39:32up to the treehouse.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Agreed, this is kind of messed up. Yeah, but that's
- 39:37the point. We seek out spooky happenings all the time
- 39:39and we never get lucky. This is an actual, legit,
- 39:43supernatural experience. I feel like we have to take advantage
- 39:46of it, even if it's asking us personal stuff.
- 39:49Speaker 4: What does it want that for?
- 39:51Speaker 3: Followed up Eleanora.
- 39:52Speaker 4: I shrugged, Well, the biggest fear question was pretty weird.
- 39:56I didn't feel too worried that a spirit knew what
- 39:58my favorite food was or what my name was. Our
- 40:00conversation was interrupted by the sound of someone climbing down
- 40:03from the treehouse. Martin had finished up his session. It
- 40:06felt like it had been thirty minutes, which topped the
- 40:09rest of our sessions. We bombarded Martin with questions as
- 40:12he reached the ground. It looked more shell shocked than
- 40:14Eleonora did.
- 40:15Speaker 2: That was pretty fucked up. What did it ask you
- 40:18my biggest sphere? It's weird, but it felt like it
- 40:21didn't like my answer to that one. It almost seemed annoyed.
- 40:28So was it just silent for a while after that? No,
- 40:31it asked me way more things after. What was the
- 40:33happiest moment of my life was who I was most
- 40:36jealous of? Who my biggest life dream was.
- 40:39Speaker 4: All that stuff, there's a lot of questions then finally
- 40:43I just wrapped up with thank you and that was it.
- 40:48He said his biggest fear was like spiders or something,
- 40:53so it did a psychevall on him to find out
- 40:55who rule It would hurt the most for him to lose. God,
- 40:59just it's gonna say in them to the stratosphere. It's
- 41:02also funny to be like, yeah, I made that ghost
- 41:05pretty mad anyway.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Kevin, Sorry, here up, buddy.
- 41:10Speaker 4: Yeah. When I left, everything in the room started floating
- 41:13and the drumming was getting louder.
- 41:15Speaker 3: But I'm sure you'll be fine. Martin turned to Kevin.
- 41:20Speaker 4: You're up next. Kevin turned all of us. Here goes nothing.
- 41:30Speaker 1: It does feel like there's a giant asteroid adding towards Earth.
- 41:33Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 41:34Speaker 4: It's like I keep thinking about that idea of like
- 41:38Kevin getting shot out of a cannon ball out of
- 41:41the side of the tree. It's like it's like they're
- 41:46playing hot potato with it, not hop pop goes the weasel,
- 41:50Like they're each like candily like huh, would this be funny?
- 41:52Would this will be funny? And then the last guy
- 41:54up is gonna get obliterated heat side and started climbing
- 41:59up to the treehouse. We watched him make his way
- 42:02to the top for the first time in the evening.
- 42:04I had to nod in my stomach. Yeah, you're right
- 42:07about there's a shift all of a sudden where it's
- 42:09like getting more serious. Only five minutes had passed since
- 42:11Kevin first went up, but he was already climbing down.
- 42:14He was shaking his head as he made his way
- 42:16down the ladder into our group.
- 42:18Speaker 2: Fuck that what happened, we asked him. He just shook
- 42:22his head. That shit's dangerous. We didn't get the fuck
- 42:25out of here asap.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I ever seen Kevin like this. He was uncharacteristically shook.
- 42:30Speaker 1: You have to tell us more.
- 42:31Speaker 4: What did it ask you? I mean, what did it say?
- 42:33Kevin ignored all our questions started packing up his bag.
- 42:36You guys can play with fire if you want, but
- 42:38I'm out of here. I suggest you guys come too.
- 42:40Speaker 3: I watched I s Martin and Eleanor started packing up
- 42:42as well.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I had bad feelings about this whole thing. I think
- 42:45we should leave.
- 42:46Speaker 4: Guys.
- 42:47Speaker 2: What the hell, Just because it's unselling doesn't mean we
- 42:49have to pack up. We could just hang out up
- 42:51there and do something else. This doesn't feel right.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Said Eleanora. I watched him as they took a few
- 42:57steps away from the treehouse towards the forest. You coming,
- 43:01asked Kevin. I stood my ground. Kevin just shook his
- 43:04head and started heading out on his way.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Suit yourself.
- 43:07Speaker 4: I had no idea what could have possibly happened up
- 43:09there that would have shooken him this much. He had
- 43:12already started walking as Martin and Eleanora pleaded with me
- 43:14to come with him. I said no, grudgingly. They all left.
- 43:18You're probably wondering, wasn't I scared, especially now that I
- 43:22was alone? The answer was yes.
- 43:24Speaker 3: But something in my soul told me that I was
- 43:27up next.
- 43:28Speaker 4: I spent my whole life waiting for something that was
- 43:31truly supernatural to happen, and now it was in front
- 43:35of me. My fingers jittering, climbed up to the treehouse
- 43:39as my friends departed. Something told me out Something in
- 43:42my soul told me I was up next. Yeah, the demon.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Yeah, no shit, it's your soul.
- 43:47Speaker 4: Now. It's kind of fun of like almost like it's
- 43:48planting a little seed in her mind. Yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Yeah, something something tells me I should go back up there.
- 43:56Speaker 4: There's like a forty foot tall goat behind you. Yeah, okay,
- 44:02if you tato demon. It took me a moment to
- 44:04pull together the bravery to put my hand on the
- 44:06plant shed. The candles are still lit, the setting was
- 44:10just right. Finally I spoke to the spirit.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Again, why are you asking us all these questions?
- 44:16Speaker 4: Nothing for a few minutes. Then my hand moved with
- 44:19the plan sheet slower than usual. The answer to confirm
- 44:25my suspicions. To confirm your suspicions of.
- 44:28Speaker 3: What movement from the plan sheet on the Luigi board.
- 44:31One of you is not who you say you are.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Like, what are you talking about?
- 44:36Speaker 4: I heard blood curdling shrieks coming from the forest outside
- 44:40the treehouse, like nothing I'd ever heard before. What the
- 44:44The plant sheet was moving on its own now I
- 44:46watched it go from letter to lever.
- 44:48Speaker 3: That is not Kevin. He is coming back for you.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Run and so I did. The small section of the
- 44:57city I live in is generally known to be haunted.
- 45:00I know why it's time for me to leave. Ah.
- 45:02What a fun man. That was great, What a little
- 45:06pepper at the end. I love that.
- 45:08Speaker 2: This is definitely one of the stories where you wish
- 45:10he had more. But at the same time, what a
- 45:12fun little you know, I do wish that there was
- 45:14just a little more to see. But this causes the
- 45:17nice fun question of let me ask you this, Isaiah,
- 45:19do you think the ghost is telling the truth? Can
- 45:22you trust this ghost? So so, what I think happened
- 45:24at that ending.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Is it mentioned at the beginning and then there again
- 45:30at the end that the whole city like has a
- 45:33history of ghosts and spirits and stuff like that, and
- 45:38it's almost like this ghost is interrogating them to make
- 45:42sure they're all normal humans. Right. That's why with Martin,
- 45:46when he answered the question about fear wrong, it had
- 45:48a lot of follow up questions, Like Eleanora and Jennifer
- 45:52gave questions that made sense.
- 45:53Speaker 3: It's like, oh, well, my biggest here is this. I
- 45:55like this, and spirits like yep, I'll check this out.
- 45:57Speaker 4: You're good. But then when Martin gave a weird question,
- 46:00it became like, okay, what about this, what's your fear desire?
- 46:02Speaker 3: And then he checked out.
- 46:04Speaker 4: But then we don't know what it said to Kevin,
- 46:06but we can assume that because of this, Kevin was
- 46:08possessed prior or had some spirit inside of him, So
- 46:12he's only up there for five minutes. The demon or
- 46:14the ghost figures it out and sends them on their way.
- 46:18So then Jennifer goes back and it's like, you need
- 46:21to get out of here because that's not Kevin, Like
- 46:23Kevin's been possessed and now the mask has been revealed.
- 46:26Speaker 2: It does a great job too, It's very cool. It
- 46:28does a great job in the story too. By isolating
- 46:31the people so you don't know who's saying what. There's
- 46:33a level of deception that happens almost immediately to where
- 46:37now you've been trusting these people coming down and saying, well,
- 46:39what are the things that they're saying? Right, you've had
- 46:42this level of acceptance of that. Now you're like, wow,
- 46:46has anybody has the things that people have been telling us?
- 46:48Speaker 1: Even that true? I don't know.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Uh, really really fun, really fun way to set up that, See,
- 46:53this is the kind of thing to you, or it'd
- 46:55be fun to explore more of these characters.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I like the kind of with that. I like the
- 47:00how goofy it kind of was.
- 47:01Speaker 2: It was a little cheesy, but at the same time,
- 47:04I think it did that intentionally because my guard was
- 47:06lowered almost immediately like I mean, I was just kind
- 47:08of we were just having fun with it. It's so
- 47:10obviously something horrifying, but then to switch it at the
- 47:13end where oh shit, it's maybe someone.
- 47:15Speaker 4: In the group. That makes a lot of fun. Yeah.
- 47:17Also someone I'm reading the replies right now, someone said,
- 47:20perhaps the ghost is the real Kevin who's died and
- 47:23now was in the afterlife and this thing's just assuming
- 47:26his identity, which I feel like it would know right
- 47:28away then when need to ask the rest of them questions.
- 47:31Speaker 1: But I mean, there's so many fun theories, like just
- 47:33let your mind run with it. I really liked that.
- 47:35Speaker 4: That was That's a fun little that's a very fun
- 47:39bite size story. There's a nice little piece of like
- 47:42mini horror that had like it was a fun payoff,
- 47:45like kind of goofy.
- 47:46Speaker 3: We were joking with it, but at the end there
- 47:48was bite.
- 47:49Speaker 1: It was good.
- 47:49Speaker 4: I liked it a lot. Sometimes it's nice just having
- 47:51that sting, you know, it's just nice to have that
- 47:53little just a little flash of lightning right at the end.
- 47:57It's fun. Yeah. Yeah, Like I said, worldwid tweeting on Reddit,
- 48:02they have a ton of stories. Most of them seem
- 48:04like these little bite sized horror. We'll certainly come back
- 48:06and check them out at some point. Can I see
- 48:09what they're Top voted of all time? Was that one
- 48:16has seven CODs? Top voted of all time? Is a
- 48:18story called a message appeared on everyone's screen in the
- 48:21world Hide. That's cool, it's like the same length sneak.
- 48:25Did we read that one? Uh?
- 48:28Speaker 3: No, we didn't.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Isn't that the one where isn't that the one where
- 48:32all the people they're in the apartment and like they
- 48:34hide in the they have to go play. They like
- 48:36everyone's hiding in their own spot. Remember in the apartment,
- 48:39all the friends over there hanging out.
- 48:42Speaker 3: I'm pretty sure we read that, man, what are you
- 48:44talking about?
- 48:45Speaker 2: This is it's that story where it's like all the
- 48:47buddies are hanging out at this apartment and then the
- 48:49thing flashes on the screen. It says hide, and they're
- 48:52like what and they hear the other people in the
- 48:54apartment and they have to like somebody hides under the bed,
- 48:57somebody hides in the closet.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Do you remember I have no memory of the story.
- 49:02Maybe I read that you without me.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Maybe that was one of the Patreon stories that did
- 49:06I just remember it was really good. It's it's really fun.
- 49:08But yeah, trying to I mean me, trying to recollect
- 49:10us a story. Good God, but I feel like I'm
- 49:12almost positive we read that on Patreon. Editor put it
- 49:15up here.
- 49:15Speaker 1: Did we do that?
- 49:16Speaker 4: There you go.
- 49:17Speaker 2: The next story we're reading is called Ronald McDonald House.
- 49:20And what I want to say here this is on
- 49:21the Creepy Pasta Wiki.
- 49:23Speaker 4: I love that.
- 49:24Speaker 2: First off, I just want to say it says in
- 49:26isn't that the categories It says mental illness, places, and weird,
- 49:32So you gotta love that. Which also, if you don't know,
- 49:35Ronal McDonald House is also a charity, so hopefully they
- 49:38hopefully they address that, don't sue us, and they don't
- 49:41and they don't know because yeah, this is actually a
- 49:44charity that they do.
- 49:45Speaker 4: So I'm curious the first line they literally say it. Okay,
- 49:49it's like last week, right when we did the three stories,
- 49:52we didn't say what the connection was, but there was
- 49:54like a hidden connection where it's like, oh, these are
- 49:56all about rituals or like spells and stuff like that.
- 49:59So there's like a hitting connectivity. Uh, you don't have
- 50:01to say it, but is there you pick these stories.
- 50:04Is there a connectivity between the last story and this one?
- 50:07The that I don't know.
- 50:10Speaker 2: We have like a little spreadsheet of stuff that's organized
- 50:12it was under And I might be wrong here, but
- 50:14I believe this is under the categories of trapped or.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Something like that.
- 50:19Speaker 4: I don't know. I'd have to see again.
- 50:21Speaker 2: But these are just some of the ones that were recommended,
- 50:23and I just thought that they sounded like. I really
- 50:25liked the title of the Ouiji ward one, and then
- 50:26I thought the ron McDonald house one was just kind
- 50:29of funny.
- 50:29Speaker 3: So no, it's just stuff for grab bags, Okay, all right?
- 50:32Speaker 4: Because I was because sudden, You're like, what does the
- 50:34Ronald McDonald house have to do with the Ouiji board?
- 50:38Speaker 3: Okay, but that makes more sense.
- 50:40Speaker 4: All right. So this story Ronald McDonald house was written
- 50:43by a user named Dee Kingsbury who looking at at
- 50:48least they're creepypasta wiki account. They posted this in twenty thirteen,
- 50:53so thirteen years ago and never did anything else.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Love that they have twelve edits, which I.
- 50:59Speaker 4: Think they're all edits to the one story I'm pretty sure,
- 51:03which I think I did this earlier, but I don't
- 51:06think they have any other. Yeah, they don't seem to
- 51:10have any other social media presence, at least none that
- 51:14I can see right away.
- 51:15Speaker 3: So yeah, this is their one and done. We'll leave
- 51:19a link to their creepypasta wiki and the description.
- 51:21Speaker 4: To the original story, and then if they ever do
- 51:24post in the future, you can check it out or
- 51:25know about it there. But I think this is the
- 51:28only thing they've ever posted, so that could be really
- 51:30good or really bad. Well, there's been a couple of
- 51:31times we found like one off stories that have been awesome.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I mean, I don't be wrong just
- 51:37calling something wrong with Donald House. If this turns out
- 51:39to be a banger, I'm going to be so excited.
- 51:41It happens very rarely, you know that. The I still
- 51:44love my Little Pony story that we did, loved it,
- 51:47so who knows, but God forbid, we'll see.
- 51:50Speaker 3: The oh cupcakes. Yeah, yep, yeah, well you love that.
- 51:54Speaker 4: First.
- 51:55Speaker 3: It's brutal.
- 51:56Speaker 4: It was brutal. You have to admit what it was.
- 51:58Speaker 3: But that was probably we loved it for probably what was.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Not the author. That's fine though, I still loved it.
- 52:04I think it's fine. I mean, hey, I'm on this podcast.
- 52:07I obviously think it's fine, but we'll see. We'll see
- 52:11how this goes. I want to take a moment to
- 52:14think today's sponsor Ridge Wallet. I've been using a Ridge
- 52:17wallet for the past five years and I'm never looking back.
- 52:19It's because Ridge has the most durable and stylish wallets
- 52:22on the market, and I can speak to the durability
- 52:24myself because a couple of weeks ago, as I'm sure
- 52:26you know, I wrecked a dirt bike and my pants
- 52:28were torn to pieces.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Put the wallet in my pocket.
- 52:30Speaker 3: It's doing just fine. Normal wallets and billfolds tend to
- 52:33be huge, get in.
- 52:34Speaker 4: The way of everything and make it hard to access
- 52:35to your keys, knife, flashlight, and putting the wallet in
- 52:38your back pocket just makes it uncomfortable to set down,
- 52:41even if you're used to it. Now, carrying all the
- 52:43cards and money you need is a breeze. Bridge took
- 52:46their amazing design and made it even better with the
- 52:48Ridge two point up for ten percent lighter and more
- 52:50modular with improved cash straps and money clips. The wallet
- 52:54holds up to twelve cards plus cash and comes in
- 52:57over fifty colors and designs, including pro sportsing, college teams,
- 53:00and Hawaiian shirt patterns.
- 53:01Speaker 3: If your school is me you're not an acko like it.
- 53:04Speaker 4: Whatever you choose, Ridge has their built for life warranty,
- 53:07so if your wallet's ever lost or stolen, they've got
- 53:09you covered. Speaking of losing your wallet, you can use
- 53:11the Ridge Tracker card to always let you know where
- 53:13your wallet is.
- 53:14Speaker 3: With Ridge, there's nothing not to love.
- 53:16Speaker 4: Right now, it's the perfect time to get in because
- 53:18right now Ridge is having there once a year anniversary sell.
- 53:21That means right now, if you headed the link in
- 53:23the description at Ridge ridge dot com slash Creekcast, you'll
- 53:27be able to get up to forty percent off. That's right,
- 53:30up to forty percent off on something I'm sure you'll
- 53:32love again. That's Ridge dot com slash Creekcast at the
- 53:34link in the description after your purchase. If you could
- 53:37let them know we sent you, we'd really appreciate it.
- 53:39Thank you to Ridge for sponsoring the show. Their link
- 53:41will be in the description. We are now back to
- 53:44the episode. All right, Ronald McDonald's House. I'm sure you've
- 53:48heard of the Ronald McDonald House charity. They provide housing
- 53:51for the families of sick kids when they're in the hospital.
- 53:54Seems pretty innocent, right, Well, there's another side of the charity.
- 53:57There's another type of Ronald McDonald's house, one that not
- 54:00many people know about. There's one of most big cities.
- 54:03You won't find it by looking for it. It doesn't
- 54:06have an address, doesn't have a sign above the door,
- 54:09doesn't even have windows. No, the only way you'll see
- 54:12it is if you're taken there. That's how I found it. Oh,
- 54:15the way it was described initially, I thought it was
- 54:18like I thought it was supposed to be like a
- 54:21battered woman's shelter, where it's like, no, the addresses kept
- 54:25hidden for a reason so people can't find it.
- 54:27Speaker 3: But no, it's like it's a kidnapp thing. We're like,
- 54:30we're like.
- 54:30Speaker 4: Ronald, or Ronald is definitely stealing people. Yeah. I remember
- 54:34when I was in a high school, I was a
- 54:35part of this group where we did a bunch of
- 54:38charity work for the county, and there was this one
- 54:43organization where their whole thing is they have like houses
- 54:49set up and if there's ever a call from like
- 54:53a woman or a family who's like being beaten or
- 54:56abused or whatever, there's this group of people who will
- 54:58take them to one of these like safe houses effectively
- 55:01and keep them until the trial's done and stuff like that.
- 55:03Speaker 3: It's a pretty cool service. But I remember we really
- 55:05wanted to get like play stuff for the kids.
- 55:11Speaker 5: Uh.
- 55:11Speaker 4: We were like, oh, we'll put a little like playground
- 55:13in the backyards. You know, the kids don't have to
- 55:15be miserable or bored while they're there. And I remember
- 55:18it became this huge argument because everyone was like, no,
- 55:21if we put if we put playground stuff in the backyard,
- 55:24you know, the abuse, the abusive partners are going to
- 55:27recognize that immediately. Jesus, They're going to see and it's like,
- 55:30why an't these in houses like on the other side
- 55:32of the county.
- 55:33Speaker 3: And they're like yeah, but they'll be looking. They'll be looking.
- 55:36Speaker 4: It's like, well they if they won't be the only
- 55:38house in the county that adds like slide in the backyard,
- 55:43like it'll be okay. And I remember that.
- 55:46Speaker 1: They intentionally don't want them to have fun.
- 55:49Speaker 4: I remember like they kept being like, well, can't we
- 55:51give them some coloring books. It's like we can do
- 55:53that too, but it's like they're not going to find
- 55:55them because of a swing. And at one point someone
- 55:59was like, well, I would understand if you know the
- 56:03house didn't have a fence, and like, maybe your fear
- 56:05is that you know the the abusive person in question
- 56:08sees the kid from the road. And then the person
- 56:10who was arguing correcting was like, no, all these houses
- 56:12have like tall fences.
- 56:13Speaker 3: We're like, oh, well then what what what are we
- 56:16doing here?
- 56:17Speaker 4: What's the problem? Which we did eventually, I think, if
- 56:20I remember correctly, we did eventually win the argument and
- 56:24get like playground supplies to them. But I just that
- 56:29reminded me of that whole argument, like, no, if a
- 56:32house has a slide in it, immediately abusive partner's going
- 56:36to recognize that he's going to smell that from them
- 56:37all away. So Jesus Christ.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Anyway, after that fun anecdote, I've never met my real parents.
- 56:43Speaker 4: I've been in and out of foster families and group
- 56:45homes here in Detroit since I was a kid. I'm
- 56:47fifteen now, and I'm what you refer to as a
- 56:50bad kid, always causing trouble, always getting thrown out in
- 56:54place with another unsuspecting do gooder who thinks they can
- 56:57help me, and I always prove them wrong. Pace workers
- 57:00set across the black metal table, looking weary and frazzled.
- 57:04On the table between us was a thick, letter sized
- 57:06brown envelope, my case file.
- 57:09Speaker 6: Well, your reputation has preceded you, and now you only
- 57:15have two options. Military school in Lancing, well the Ronal
- 57:19McDonald House, which has miraculously cleared you for acceptance.
- 57:24Speaker 4: I did up the patients for drill sergeants and five
- 57:27am reveal And how bad could a halfway house named
- 57:30after a fast food clown possibly be Ronald McDonald's house.
- 57:34It was dark clouds loomed above me the day I
- 57:36climbed into the back of my caseworkers town car. My
- 57:40few belongings in a backpack and the clothes on my back.
- 57:43That was all I could take. One of those few
- 57:45belongings was a photo album filled with pictures of all
- 57:48the foster families I'd been with. It was nice to
- 57:51remember some of them, even though I had royally screwed
- 57:54it up each time. I've had a few cases who
- 57:56went through Ronald McDonald.
- 57:57Speaker 3: House, caseworkers said from the front seat.
- 58:00Speaker 2: Things went so well for those kids. I never had
- 58:02to transfer them anywhere else. In fact, the house took
- 58:05over the case files and everything.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Can they do that?
- 58:10Speaker 4: No?
- 58:10Speaker 3: I don't No, I don't think it works that way.
- 58:12Speaker 4: Now the kids would die, and I never seen. The
- 58:17kids are dead and not my problem. Most importantly, we
- 58:20drove into downtown Detroit, past all the familiar landmarks. I'd
- 58:25been thrown out of one foster home just outside town
- 58:27because I snuck into downtown Detroit with some neighbor kids
- 58:30to sink into a dive bar. Good times. Yep, here
- 58:34we are.
- 58:34Speaker 3: A car came to a stop.
- 58:36Speaker 4: We had parked in front of a tall, gray, windowless building,
- 58:40sandwich between two other industrial buildings on a narrow city street.
- 58:44Speaker 3: I don't think that's what the Ronald McDonald's does look like.
- 58:47Speaker 4: I don't think they look like brutalist architecture the middle
- 58:50of downtown. I noticed there's an address on the building
- 58:53to my left and one on the right, but not
- 58:55on this particular building, not even a sign. Are you sure,
- 59:01I asked, hesitating, as I opened the car door and
- 59:03climbed out of the back seat. I slung my backpack
- 59:06over my shoulder, clinging tightly to the strap, and followed
- 59:09the case worker up to the windowless metal doors. She
- 59:12pressed a buzzer spoke to someone inside, and the doors
- 59:15clicked to unlock. We walked in. As soon as the
- 59:18metal doors closed behind us, I noticed the pin drop silence.
- 59:21It was that sort of silence that's so oppressive and
- 59:24empty and almost deafened you. Across the dimly lit lobby
- 59:29there was a glass window with someone inside, a secretary.
- 59:33She was turned away, typing something intently. We walked over
- 59:37to the window. The case worker rang a bell on
- 59:39the counter, and the secretary spun around in her chair.
- 59:42Her face was painted like a clown, like Ronald McDonald.
- 59:46Speaker 3: In fact, get me out of.
- 59:53Speaker 5: Solitary.
- 59:59Speaker 3: You want me two?
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: That is this one? You know, I always I always
- 1:00:04wanted to support my country. Actually, I always felt like
- 1:00:07that was important. So she even had the short, curly
- 1:00:13red hair. Otherwise she wore a typical white nurses dress.
- 1:00:18Oh my god, what you got there, Billy. I wanted
- 1:00:22to laugh at how bizarre it was, but I couldn't.
- 1:00:25A chill swept down my spine. Something was not right.
- 1:00:29I watched as the nurse and my caseworker interacted. Paperwork
- 1:00:32was passed through the window. The case slid, my case
- 1:00:35fall under the glasses. The nurse slid her some papers
- 1:00:37to sign. As my caseworker signed the papers, the nurse
- 1:00:40looked at me. Her smile should have been warm and welcoming,
- 1:00:44and all I saw in her eyes was hunger.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Excuse me, excuse me.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: I can't stay here. Take me to the military school
- 1:00:53and lancing place.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: What's the matter, the nurse asked, her voice muffled slightly
- 1:00:58by the glass.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: You clown, Yes, yes, motherfucker, I am that case worker, like,
- 1:01:08please just shoot me in the head, Please just kill
- 1:01:10me right here. I looked into her hungry eyes. I
- 1:01:14don't like how the eyes keep being described as hungry.
- 1:01:17Now there was a malicious glint as she laughed. A
- 1:01:19caseworker laughed too obliviously and said, no.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: No, don't overreact.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: You'd hate the military school. Besides, this would be good
- 1:01:27for you. Yeah, this would be good for you.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: Before I could object, I heard a slam behind me.
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: It's went around to see an open door in the
- 1:01:36far corner of the lobby, to the left of the
- 1:01:38front desk window.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: There was no one there, just some light that flooded in.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Then creeping shadows, shrill, echoing laughter, and growing shadows along
- 1:01:48the wall inside the door.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: No here comes the welcome committee.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: As I stared in horror, clutching the strap of my backpack,
- 1:01:57my caseworker patted.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Me on the shoulder for the last last time.
- 1:02:01Speaker 4: Don't worry, honey, it'll be different this time. You'll feel
- 1:02:05right at home here, I promise. She turned to go.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: I felt bile churning in my stomach.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: No, you can't leave me here.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Oh no, I've gotta get going.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: I never did like clown me and either bitch, God help,
- 1:02:20That's what I was saying.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Getting She's getting into the car, and he's pressed up
- 1:02:28against the glass like please, God help, and you see
- 1:02:31like a bunch of Ronalds pulling him off the window.
- 1:02:35And with that she left me there. The metal doors
- 1:02:37slam behind her, and I was alone. I faced the
- 1:02:40open doorway by the front desk again. The shadows had
- 1:02:42almost entered the room, and the piercing laughter was filling
- 1:02:45the lobby with sound. I ran for the front doors.
- 1:02:48I pounded and yanked and pushed and screamed, screamed for help,
- 1:02:52screamed for my caseworker, screamed for he please God. I
- 1:02:56turned to see the nurse behind the glass smiling at
- 1:02:58me again. Then when they entered a whole group of
- 1:03:02laughing nurses with clown faces and red hair. Some were male,
- 1:03:06some female that all had the same terrifying Ronald McDonald's makeup,
- 1:03:11and in the dim light of the lobby, I could
- 1:03:12see the glint of metal tools in their hands. Bringing
- 1:03:15up the rear was a pair of clown nurses rolling
- 1:03:17the metal table, complete with restraints. Get the fuck away
- 1:03:21from me, I screamed. I pounded at the metal doors again.
- 1:03:25Here they surrounded me, grabbed me as I thrashed and
- 1:03:29screamed and tried to tear myself away, laughed as I
- 1:03:32kicked and squirmed. They slammed me onto the rolling table
- 1:03:35and strapped me down. Looked around wildly. I was surrounded.
- 1:03:39Let me go, I screamed, twisting and turning and pulling
- 1:03:42out the restraints. They rolled me through the open doorway
- 1:03:45and down a seemingly endless white hallway.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: They laughed and laughed and laughed.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: They waved their shiny scalpels and razors and needles mere
- 1:03:54inches from my face just to make me flinch and scream.
- 1:03:57It made them laugh even harder. Last thing I remember
- 1:04:00before one of them finally injected me was the hands.
- 1:04:04Glove fingers prodded inside my mouth and pulled up my lips,
- 1:04:07distorting my screams and forcing an unnatural grin onto my
- 1:04:11tears streaked, sweaty face. Hot rancid breath was in my face,
- 1:04:16and a whispered, perverted voice spoke the.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Words, we love to see you smile.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: Then this, the maniacal laughter, seemed to warp and wind
- 1:04:25down like a dying record player. Everything faded to black.
- 1:04:30I feel I feel like, so this is someone venting
- 1:04:35a lot about like a deep fear of clowns. I guess, well,
- 1:04:40I just.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: I mean, it goes from here's the thing. It's ridiculous.
- 1:04:43It goes from a zero to one hundred and zero
- 1:04:44to a million so quickly. At the same time, though,
- 1:04:48it's at least it's going for it. I mean, yeah, boring,
- 1:04:52no exactly. I'm just saying from the happy happy shit,
- 1:04:54It's just like, at least it's like it's just being like,
- 1:04:57I mean, we're fucking here, we're in Ron McDonald's fucking
- 1:05:00murder factory whatever.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: I mean, it's we're at least we're here and going,
- 1:05:04you know, yeah, we're doing something with our time. I
- 1:05:06suppose it. It is insane how quickly it goes from
- 1:05:12Oh well, I uh, you know, I was a bad kid.
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: I got moved from house to house anyway.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: A posse of Ronald McDonald clowns strapped me to a
- 1:05:20table and injected me.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, but yeah, no, I mean absolutely it is.
- 1:05:24It's a zero to one hundred yeah for sure.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Absolutely out in my eyes and was blinded by bright
- 1:05:29lights above, shielding my groggy gaze from the fluorescent bulbs.
- 1:05:33I turned on my side and looked around a cell, tall,
- 1:05:36white walls covered in scratch marks and stains. There's a
- 1:05:40small drain in the corner of the floor, my toilet,
- 1:05:43perhaps a door with no windows, and on the floor
- 1:05:46by the door, I backpack. I tried to sit up.
- 1:05:49My body ached, and the moment I was upright, my
- 1:05:51vision started spinning. I wondered what they drugged me with.
- 1:05:55I realized I was shivering. I looked down. I was
- 1:05:59wearing my own clothes and he more. I was wearing
- 1:06:01a dirty, ripped hospital gown, bright yellow with the pattern
- 1:06:04of Ronald McDonald's heads all over nothing underneath. I heard faint,
- 1:06:09muffled sounds from somewhere in the building sounded like screams.
- 1:06:13I tried to stand, but couldn't keep my balance. My
- 1:06:17vision was beginning to stabilize, but my body still felt
- 1:06:19like rubber. I sank to my knees and crawled over
- 1:06:22to my backpack. Before I got there, I tried to
- 1:06:25open the door. As expected, it was locked. I slumped
- 1:06:28onto the floor beside my backpack and then zipped it.
- 1:06:31All that remained inside was the photo album, taken my
- 1:06:34notebooks and pins, and my cell phone. Of course they
- 1:06:37had I really opened the photo album. Instead of the
- 1:06:40photos that had been in there, ones of myself with
- 1:06:42my previous foster families, photos were I'd attempted to look
- 1:06:45happy and hopefully.
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: Even though I knew I wouldn't be there for long.
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: Instead of those photos, they were crime scene photos, and
- 1:06:52in each one I recognized one of my former foster
- 1:06:54families brutally murdered and covered in blood.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, But though we didn't say that, this story
- 1:07:01was written back during the kind of the peak, So
- 1:07:03I'm glad that it was almost a hyper realistic blood
- 1:07:05it means I.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Love it is an actual crime scene.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: So I guess the clowns murder everyone you've known all
- 1:07:13the foster families. You've known.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: That's their strategy.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: I guess. My heart raced and my stomach churned. I
- 1:07:19began to turn the pages quicker. Each page, a new photo,
- 1:07:22a new family, new carnage. I recognized their faces and
- 1:07:26the inside of their homes. I lived with these people,
- 1:07:29and now they were all dead. I came to the
- 1:07:32last few pages. There was a photo of a house
- 1:07:34at night, then a window of that house, then inside
- 1:07:37the house, a dark hallway with light coming from one doorway.
- 1:07:41Then a photo of my caseworker rushing her teeth in
- 1:07:44the bathroom mirror. Then a photo of her looking at
- 1:07:47the camera and horror. Then a photo of her naked,
- 1:07:50covered in her own blood, contorted into an unnatural position
- 1:07:54in her bathtub. I turned to the last page. Written
- 1:07:57inside the back cover of the photo album were three
- 1:08:00words you never existed.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: They fucking just a naked woman covered in blood and
- 1:08:11like a goddamn origami pose in some bath zeb and
- 1:08:15Ra McDonald's.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: Just like you never enised.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: This was the thing with a lot of the old ones,
- 1:08:23where it's like.
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: It's a story with just the most brutal over, like
- 1:08:33the idea of a naked woman brutally murdered, like that's
- 1:08:36that's heavy, right, But the brutality is delivered by a
- 1:08:40fourteen year old who treats it with the same gravity
- 1:08:44as he does clown makeup. That just doesn't matter. It's
- 1:08:50the equivalent of kids that were like, yeah, like I
- 1:08:53set bugs on fire and I think it's and I
- 1:08:55hate my mom. I wish you was dead. It's like
- 1:08:57that kind of urbage. But in a story, I felt
- 1:09:03bile rising in my stomach. I threw the book to
- 1:09:05the ground, crawled over to the hole in the floor,
- 1:09:08and vomited. They were right. There was also a lot
- 1:09:10of vomiting in these old stories too. Oh yes, they
- 1:09:14were right. Having killed everyone who ever knew me, it
- 1:09:17was as though I never existed. I heard more faint
- 1:09:21screaming in the distance and knew I had to get out.
- 1:09:24I wiped the vomit off my face with my hospital
- 1:09:26gown and crawled back over to my backpack. Hopefully they
- 1:09:29hadn't found my secret weapon.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: It was a glock.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Like what I had zipped the front pocket and reached
- 1:09:37down to the very bottom, my fingers scraping the fabric.
- 1:09:40Sure enough, there they were flushed with seams in the
- 1:09:44back nearly undetectable depends I used for picking lucks.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: I told you I'm a bad kid. Oh yeah, let's go.
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: Let's go. That that gets the ncis like, yeah, exactly, Yeah,
- 1:10:02I told you I'm a bad kid. I laied against
- 1:10:06the door and listened. I could hear footsteps approaching, but
- 1:10:09just as soon as they arrived, they faded in the
- 1:10:11other direction.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: I knew I had to so awesome.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: Also again, this was Rent thirteen years ago, a highlight
- 1:10:19of Creepypasta days. This is definitely written by a kid,
- 1:10:23and you can tell because they use a lot of
- 1:10:26like set pieces from cartoons, like listening to the door,
- 1:10:30hearing the footsteps get closed and then go away.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Pretty sure that's in the Incredibles, you know, stuff like that.
- 1:10:36Speaker 4: And then like the thing earlier about like oh, all
- 1:10:40the clowns come, and then like you fade to black
- 1:10:42as it sounds like the voices are getting more distant.
- 1:10:44These are all cartoon motifs that they're using. I knew
- 1:10:47I had to work fast. I jiggled the handle with
- 1:10:50one hand and picked the lock with the other. It
- 1:10:52was surprisingly simple holding the handle, I slowly pulled myself
- 1:10:55to my feet. I could maintain my balance now. I
- 1:10:58pulled the door open just a crack. A clown nurse
- 1:11:01started past. My heart almost stopped, but his footsteps didn't slower,
- 1:11:06change and soon faded. He didn't notice me. I poked
- 1:11:10my head out the door. There were seemingly endless white
- 1:11:12hallways in either direction. The distant screams were louder now,
- 1:11:16coming from all around. Taking a deep breath, I stepped
- 1:11:19into the hallway and closed the door behind me. I
- 1:11:22decided to go to the right, passing doors identical to
- 1:11:25the one I had been in behind I heard screams
- 1:11:28and sobbing. I stopped for a moment at one door
- 1:11:31and heard the crying of a child inside. I juggled
- 1:11:33the handle to see if I could let him out.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: Walked.
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: I kept moving, looking behind me every few seconds to
- 1:11:39make sure no nurses had come into the hallway. Then
- 1:11:42I passed a set of white double doors. I stopped again.
- 1:11:46The word play place was written in tall, thin letters
- 1:11:49across the width of both doors. I heard more screaming
- 1:11:53coming from within, the screams of multiple people and laughter,
- 1:11:57The insane shrill laughter of the clownner.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: I shuddered.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: I was afraid to find out what sort of torture
- 1:12:04was happening inside, and I knew I had to keep moving.
- 1:12:07I saw a door ahead with a stairway symbol and
- 1:12:10headed for it. As I opened the door, I glanced
- 1:12:12behind me and saw two clown nurses emerging from the
- 1:12:15play place room. Their white nurse outfits were covered in
- 1:12:18streaks of blood. I quickly shut myself into the stairwell,
- 1:12:21hoping they hadn't noticed me. The stairwell was dimly lit,
- 1:12:24cement walls and rusty railings. I looked at the door
- 1:12:28I just closed. There was a red number five on it.
- 1:12:30I must have been on the fifth floor. I decided
- 1:12:33I had to get to the ground level. Each footstep
- 1:12:35echoed as I began to descend the stairs. I couldn't
- 1:12:38hear the screaming anymore, just a low, deep humming sound
- 1:12:42like pipes in the walls. It was a welcome respite.
- 1:12:46It was a welcome respite. It's such an out of
- 1:12:48play sentence in this story, feels like it came out
- 1:12:53of wet field. To hear that word get thrown in
- 1:12:57with the bloody Ronald McDonald cost.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I finally came to the door numbered one.
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: The staircase seemed to descend a few floors lower, but
- 1:13:09I stopped here and slowly peeked through the door. More
- 1:13:12white hallways, no clown nurses to be seen. So far,
- 1:13:16so good. I stepped through the door and walked into
- 1:13:19the hallway. I noticed I couldn't hear any screaming on
- 1:13:22this floor, just the buzz of the fluorescent tube lights above.
- 1:13:26I not to derail off of this, but I knew
- 1:13:29the respite thing reminded me of something. Do you remember
- 1:13:32the story about the Slips that we called polyamorous hell?
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: Yeah, okay. In that story, I think the word crestfallen
- 1:13:40showed up three.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: In the midst of like the crush fallen dude. Yeah,
- 1:13:47in the midst of the Reddit fan fiction. It uses
- 1:13:49a word from like the seventeen hundreds out of nowhere.
- 1:13:53It's a damn good word. That's what that reminded me of.
- 1:13:57For a spite and the Ronald McDonald killer clown the
- 1:14:00Silar store. It came to the end of the hallway
- 1:14:05and another set of double doors. A large red cross,
- 1:14:08the kind you'd see on a lifeguard stand or first
- 1:14:11aid kit was painted across the width of them.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: I pressed my ear to one door.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: All I heard was a slow, rhythmic pulse, like a
- 1:14:19machine at work, faintly a beeping sound like you'd hear
- 1:14:23in a hospital room. Please, please be the original Ronald McDonald,
- 1:14:29Please be the first one tied up to a chair,
- 1:14:31kept alive by machines, like house from a fallout New Vegas.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: Please.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: I knew I shouldn't have opened the door. I knew
- 1:14:39this wasn't the exit, that I should keep looking, but
- 1:14:42I had to see. I turned the handle. It wasn't locked.
- 1:14:47I peeked inside. It was a cavernous white room. Fluorescent
- 1:14:52lights flickered and buzzed. I saw wires hanging all around
- 1:14:58and hanging from the ceiling in rows. Kids not dang it.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: I want, I want. I want to be Ronald.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: Kids in hospital gowns like mine, attached to white wooden
- 1:15:10crosses affixed. Jesus God, damn, it's a funny children. Good Lord.
- 1:15:24Do you see what I mean by the like I
- 1:15:25set bugs on fire like kind of ideas? He's a
- 1:15:30bad kid. I'm a bad kid. I read about other
- 1:15:33kids getting crucified on the ceilings of the Ronald McDonald House,
- 1:15:40which I was like, when we start the story, it's
- 1:15:42gonna make a comment about, like, do you think it's
- 1:15:43kind of bad to like take an actual charity and tie.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: Them to this, But this is so like it's whatever
- 1:15:49you want, dude.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: Oh, call it the Wounded Warriors Project for all I
- 1:15:54care kids in hospital gowns like mine, attached to white
- 1:15:57wooden crosses a fixed to the ceiling, literally crucified. They
- 1:16:02were silent, their heads drooping forward, their eyes either closed
- 1:16:06or staring at nothing. Some seemed to twitch a bit,
- 1:16:09but most were still. Their crosses swung back and forth
- 1:16:13very slightly. And the hanging wires they weren't wires. They
- 1:16:18were intravenous tubes attached to the kid's wrists, tubes sucking
- 1:16:24out their blood. I almost vomited again right then and there,
- 1:16:28there we go, vomit in the very center of the room,
- 1:16:31amidst the rows of hanging crosses. I could see where
- 1:16:34the rhythmic pulsing sound came from, a huge steel cylinder
- 1:16:38which seemed to be collecting the blood from all the
- 1:16:41tangled tubes that dangled from the kid's wrists. I gets
- 1:16:43still be right about the Ronald thing. I could silly
- 1:16:46right about the Ronald thing.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: It could be it.
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: I opened my mouth to scream, to cry out in anger.
- 1:16:52All I could say was what the fuck? And my
- 1:16:56mom can't stop me from typing that here because she
- 1:16:58doesn't know about creepypasta. She saw my Instagram account and
- 1:17:02made me stop there, but she doesn't know about this website.
- 1:17:07That was when the alarms began to sound, loud and piercing,
- 1:17:10like the police sirens of Hell. They must have realized
- 1:17:13I was missing. I shut the doors and frantically glanced.
- 1:17:16I shut the doors and frantically glanced around the hallway
- 1:17:19to see if anyone was coming. No signs yet. I
- 1:17:22ran for the stairwell. As soon as I entered it,
- 1:17:24I heard laughter from above, echoing and reverberating. The clown
- 1:17:28nurses were coming. I stumbled down the stairs as fast
- 1:17:32as I could. I must have gone another three stories
- 1:17:34before I reached the basement. I found myself running through
- 1:17:38a dark, sewer light hallway with small light bulbs overhead
- 1:17:41every ten yards or so. The smell of decay and
- 1:17:44rotting flesh grew more and more pungent as I ran.
- 1:17:48The laughter continued behind me. I managed to glance over
- 1:17:51my shoulder and see a group of them running after me.
- 1:17:53I saw them come into the light, then become silhouettes again,
- 1:17:57their smiling faces, gleaming knives and knee Pushing my adrenalin
- 1:18:01into the max, I ran past alcoves full of stacked,
- 1:18:04rotting corpses. But I couldn't stop. I couldn't think of
- 1:18:08anything but escape again, the flippidness that just children's bodies
- 1:18:12are inserted into the story, just literally piled up in
- 1:18:16the sewer. It's a classic, it's a classic trope. Oh.
- 1:18:19Then I turned a corner and found myself facing the
- 1:18:22metal rungs of a ladder in the wall. I climbed
- 1:18:24till my head smacked the ceiling below me. The shadows
- 1:18:28and laughter grew closer, their footsteps slowed. They were close,
- 1:18:31and they knew it. I pushed at the ceiling above me,
- 1:18:34heaving upward and panting and screaming. The clowns were below me,
- 1:18:38laughing and waving their scalpels. Something cut my leg. I
- 1:18:42screamed to push one last time. The ceiling gave way
- 1:18:45as the manhole cover slammed onto an asphalt above circular opening.
- 1:18:50I climbed out of frantically pushed the cover back over
- 1:18:52the hole, blocking out the laughter of the clown nurses below.
- 1:18:56I lay there on top of the manhole cover for
- 1:18:58a few minutes. As I caught my breath, rain fell
- 1:19:00into my skin. The turbulent night sky above was a
- 1:19:03welcoming sight. I looked around, abandoned buildings, broken glass, no lights,
- 1:19:10no cars, no signs of any life at all. A
- 1:19:12police siren somewhere in the distance. In silence. I climbed
- 1:19:16to my feet. Pain shot through my leg. I looked
- 1:19:19down and saw the cut of my ankle where clownners
- 1:19:22it slashed me. Bastards living the best I could. I
- 1:19:27started to walk, Hello, I called out. The only answer
- 1:19:30was a distant roll of thunder. Somebody help me please.
- 1:19:35My foot fell on something soft and mushy. I looked
- 1:19:38down a newspaper. I peeled it off the wet asphalt.
- 1:19:43Most of the ink faded, but I was able to
- 1:19:45make out the date, July thirteenth, nineteen ninety two. What
- 1:19:56the time travel thing? I don't know? What have Oh wait,
- 1:20:01why did he travel? Don't know yet? Why did that?
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: Okay? Um, all right?
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: I dropped it an icy dread feeling my stomach. I
- 1:20:18kept walking.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Can anyone hear me?
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: Please? Anyone? Please? My words faded into delirious sobs. I
- 1:20:28stood still for a moment. The rain had soaked through
- 1:20:30my thin hospital gown. I shivered as the wind blew.
- 1:20:35Then I saw a light in the distance. It was
- 1:20:38a big yellow M in the sky. I McDonald's, of course.
- 1:20:44I leaped toward it. When I got to the place,
- 1:20:47I saw that, apart from the M, the rest of
- 1:20:49the building was completely dark. I walked cautiously toward the
- 1:20:53broken windows and looked inside darkness. I turned and surveyed
- 1:20:58the play place. Outdoor playground ten foot tall structures of
- 1:21:01colored tubes for kids to crawl through. Sitting at one
- 1:21:05of the benches was a familiar figure of Ronald McDonald's statue.
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: You know the one, You know, the one.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: Where you can sit beside him and it looks like
- 1:21:15he's got his arms around your shoulders. Every kid's seen it.
- 1:21:19I shuddered at the sight. The doors were unlocked. I
- 1:21:24walked in out of the rain, silence, darkness. I noticed
- 1:21:29that the decor wasn't like the modern McDonald's. U see
- 1:21:32it was the same as it was in the eighties,
- 1:21:34with white plastic booths and red and yellow tiles. The
- 1:21:38wind seemed to whisper through the broken windows. I noticed
- 1:21:41something on the front counter, a black rectangle. I got closer.
- 1:21:46A laptop, a nearly new laptop. I let out a soft,
- 1:21:51delirious laugh. I knew what I was supposed to do.
- 1:21:55I took the laptop outside and set beside the Ronald statue.
- 1:21:59I opened it and began to type the story. The
- 1:22:03rain is falling on the keys, but I don't care.
- 1:22:06There's nothing left to do now but wait, because I've
- 1:22:09been noticing out of the corner of my eye Ronald
- 1:22:14is trying to look over my shoulder.
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: He's laughing. Now all I can do is join him.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: Dun, dun, dumb.
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: You know what, for a classic creepypasta story doesn't make
- 1:22:27any fuck.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I mean, like, it's so it's so random. Yeah, but
- 1:22:31there's just that charm.
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: I always love when we kind of come across these
- 1:22:34old classics from over a decade ago and it still
- 1:22:37just has like a little bit of charm. The children
- 1:22:39crucified on the ceiling is the true charriot.
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: That's so good and I choose to believe that the thing,
- 1:22:45and I was right, and the thing inside of the
- 1:22:47cylinder was the original Ronald McDonald.
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, like he's like a little embryo kind of Yeah,
- 1:22:52some kind of weird thing, you know what. All and
- 1:22:55all pretty fun. Also fun to have if you have
- 1:22:57the exact same Ronald McDonald bitch I do. I had
- 1:23:01a nineteen eighty five Ronald McDonald's statue and it's I'm
- 1:23:04looking at it right now.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: He's beautiful.
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and the bench and the bench, so you could go,
- 1:23:09you you could be the kid and you can join Ronald.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: I will I will make my own Rob McDonald house,
- 1:23:15and before too long, I will crucify.
- 1:23:17Speaker 4: Children and put them up on my ceiling. That's just
- 1:23:19has to do. These are just so interesting to me
- 1:23:21because it's like, what was the train of thought that
- 1:23:24led to it.
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: It's like this kid's let's see an image of.
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: Like an eighties McDonald's with like the old boosts and stuff,
- 1:23:31and he got kind of like the liminal feeling that's
- 1:23:33been you know, super you know, played out now. But
- 1:23:37I think kids just write things from what they know,
- 1:23:40you know. I mean, like it's just this idea it's
- 1:23:41the same thing of why.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: There's a squidward suicide and it's just these things of
- 1:23:46they just know about it, they know other kids know
- 1:23:48about it, and it's just there's just the level of innocence.
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: It's so funny too.
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: It's just like, what's the most what's the weirdest, most
- 1:23:55fucked up thing I can think of too and put
- 1:23:57into a story. And I love that the story doesn't
- 1:24:00really have like any real purpose besides being like what
- 1:24:04if what if there's a place where ron the people
- 1:24:06dressed up like clowns and they tried killing you? But
- 1:24:09there's no real explanation anything. It's just like these little
- 1:24:11vignettes of like crazy thoughts and there's like a really
- 1:24:14there's like an interesting charm to that.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: It's just from a different time, you know. I just
- 1:24:18that's that's why I like it.
- 1:24:20Speaker 4: It's fun. Yeah, yeah, I like the uh. I like
- 1:24:24the how it goes from like, oh, I was a
- 1:24:28bad kid, so anyway, here's the crazy nurses and it's
- 1:24:30the giant building and the kids are crucified. Anyway, I'm
- 1:24:33time traveled now for some reason to July thirteenth, nineteen
- 1:24:37ninety two. It's as far as I can find, does
- 1:24:38not mean anything like that date has no significance. And
- 1:24:42I'm in an old I can't tell, and I'm now
- 1:24:44part of the McDonald's collective, something that's not been brought
- 1:24:46up or mentioned at any point.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: I can't tell if if that's supposed to be an
- 1:24:50extension of.
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: The Ron McDonald house is what I'm thinking it's maybe
- 1:24:54is either that or time travel? We just don't know.
- 1:24:57I don't know. Regardless, it was fun, so you know,
- 1:25:00it's a close it's a close one between the two.
- 1:25:02But I kinda say, I think I like that first
- 1:25:04story a touch better.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: Yeah, Luigi Bordron was fund out. That's our episode today, guys.
