- 2:34Speaker 5: How are you?
- 2:35Speaker 4: Good morning, Dave? How are you?
- 2:36Speaker 5: I am fine? What's going on? Man?
- 2:38Speaker 4: You've been making on first couple of days of school,
- 2:40Speaker 4: getting the girls off, getting back on a schedule.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Mean I favor pop up that microphone.
- 2:45Speaker 4: You're there getting back on a schedule, which is awesome.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Okay, So and then what I know you love to
- 2:50Speaker 5: talk about your girls, so I'll give you an opportunity.
- 2:53Speaker 5: How old are they? What grades ago?
- 2:54Speaker 4: We have a fifth grader and a second grader. They
- 2:56Speaker 4: are both at Holtz Elementary School and they couldn't have
- 3:00Speaker 4: been more excited to get started. And the school's the best,
- 3:03Speaker 4: their teachers are great.
- 3:04Speaker 5: And the fifth graders went to middle school. Sixth graders
- 3:07Speaker 5: go to middle school, I think because I know they
- 3:09Speaker 5: because back back in the back hold back in.
- 3:11Speaker 4: The old days, the seventh grade is when junior high
- 3:13Speaker 4: school started. Junior Were you a junior high or junior
- 3:16Speaker 4: high school? And to be fair, I actually liked that
- 3:18Speaker 4: system way better. It doesn't seem like we should be
- 3:21Speaker 4: trying to push freshmen together with seniors as fast as
- 3:25Speaker 4: we do. I thought the seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,
- 3:28Speaker 4: twelve worked great.
- 3:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't know when they changed back when, back
- 3:32Speaker 5: in the day when I was in school, it was seventh,
- 3:34Speaker 5: eighth and ninth was junior high, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth
- 3:37Speaker 5: was senior and then I know my hometown, what they
- 3:40Speaker 5: did was they they merged the two competing junior highs
- 3:44Speaker 5: into a middle school. Then they went to the fifth, sixth,
- 3:46Speaker 5: seventh and eighth was middle school, and then the ninth graders,
- 3:49Speaker 5: which is even for the high school.
- 3:51Speaker 4: There's no I mean, my daughter's in fifth grade. She
- 3:53Speaker 4: doesn't have anything in common with an eighth grader. I mean,
- 3:55Speaker 4: it's like two different species of people. Are you Were
- 3:58Speaker 4: you a Scott Skyhawk?
- 4:00Speaker 6: No, where'd you go to from?
- 4:01Speaker 5: Logan?
- 4:02Speaker 7: Oh?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Logan?
- 4:02Speaker 5: Sorry?
- 4:02Speaker 4: I thought you were from.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Moving My bad dude?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Do you want you want me to turn this.
- 4:08Speaker 4: The other end of this table? So so you couldn't fight.
- 4:10Speaker 5: TJ is from boon Cap, but he was a I
- 4:14Speaker 5: think uh Sherman tide ers one in one of the schools. Now,
- 4:17Speaker 5: I'm a Logan wildcat man. Actually I grew I spent
- 4:20Speaker 5: the first up through sixth grade. I my family lived
- 4:25Speaker 5: in the Man area.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Okay, so you might have been a hillbilly well, but.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Then we transferred to Logan, So I call myself a
- 4:30Speaker 5: billy cat. I got so I graduated from Logan. I
- 4:34Speaker 5: was in Man with people like Rupy Phillips, certain people
- 4:36Speaker 5: like that of my There's a.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Little restaurant on there called Keith since one of my
- 4:40Speaker 4: absolute favorites, Anthony Bourdain, went there. One of the better
- 4:42Speaker 4: burgers in the game.
- 4:43Speaker 5: It is. It is great hot dogs too. They do
- 4:46Speaker 5: have a great Mall Dog named after his grandmother, M A. W.
- 4:50Speaker 5: The Mall Dog. So thank you for coming to the
- 4:53Speaker 5: discussion between mister mccusky myself. All right, so let's let's
- 4:56Speaker 5: move on. Big news made yesterday, made not not only
- 4:59Speaker 5: news here in West Virginia. But I was told correctly,
- 5:03Speaker 5: you were on Fox News last night.
- 5:04Speaker 4: This morning, but it wasn't actually about our lawsuit. We
- 5:07Speaker 4: were talking about some other things this morning on a
- 5:09Speaker 4: Fox but we announced a really important lawsuit against a
- 5:13Speaker 4: company called express Scripts. And what express Scripts is is
- 5:16Speaker 4: a pharmacy benefit manager, and we have sued them for
- 5:20Speaker 4: their role in being sort of an architect and a
- 5:24Speaker 4: key player on the opioid crisis. And a lot of
- 5:27Speaker 4: people are starting to sort of learn what pharmacy benefit
- 5:30Speaker 4: managers are. But in the coming weeks and months, we'll
- 5:33Speaker 4: have a lot more to talk about in our lawsuit.
- 5:35Speaker 4: But suffice to say that these folks have sort of
- 5:38Speaker 4: weaseled their way into our healthcare system, and since they've
- 5:41Speaker 4: gotten there, it's pretty noticeable how much our drug prices
- 5:44Speaker 4: have gone up. And they were the only people that
- 5:48Speaker 4: held the data between prescribers and pharmacies, and so there
- 5:53Speaker 4: was one group of people who was able to maximize
- 5:56Speaker 4: the damage by understanding how many pills were being prescribed
- 6:00Speaker 4: and to whom they were being prescribed and they failed
- 6:04Speaker 4: in their duty to to to to follow state law,
- 6:07Speaker 4: to follow federal law, and we're gonna hold them accountable
- 6:10Speaker 4: for it.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Now, this is a little bit different for me, and
- 6:13Speaker 5: you can correct me if I'm wrong, because with this
- 6:15Speaker 5: express script service, and we're going to break it down
- 6:17Speaker 5: to exactly what it was that they are alleged to
- 6:19Speaker 5: have done. Normally, when you see these lawsuits, it's against
- 6:22Speaker 5: pharmaceutical companies. You know, it's against the you know, the
- 6:26Speaker 5: all the big all the big players and things of
- 6:28Speaker 5: that nature. But I'm not saying I don't want to
- 6:30Speaker 5: go out and you would know this for sure. Is
- 6:32Speaker 5: this at least one of the first times that a
- 6:35Speaker 5: distributor so to speak, and that's not even distributors.
- 6:38Speaker 4: What's really interesting services I guess they were. They were
- 6:41Speaker 4: these PBMs were created as a middleman. And you know,
- 6:46Speaker 4: they're all now significantly bigger than the pharmaceutical companies that
- 6:49Speaker 4: they helped sell drugs for. They're bigger than the pharmacies
- 6:52Speaker 4: that actually created them. Right, So CVS Care Mark, their
- 6:57Speaker 4: PBM is bigger than CVS. And the reason is is
- 7:01Speaker 4: because our healthcare system, for a myriad of reasons, when
- 7:04Speaker 4: we don't have time to talk about this today. But
- 7:06Speaker 4: it's so complicated that they sort of were the ones
- 7:08Speaker 4: that figured out how to do the paperwork right, right,
- 7:10Speaker 4: And this is maybe twenty five thirty years ago that
- 7:12Speaker 4: this really came in to being. And you know, when
- 7:19Speaker 4: we sued the manufacturers, they said, well, we didn't know
- 7:21Speaker 4: who was taking them, right, all we did was make
- 7:23Speaker 4: the pills. Somebody else gave them to So that was
- 7:24Speaker 4: their defense. And then the pharmacy said, well, we were
- 7:27Speaker 4: just fulfilling the prescriptions. The people in the middle who
- 7:31Speaker 4: were really bridging that gap were these pharmacy benefit managers,
- 7:34Speaker 4: and so there's an argument to be made that they're
- 7:36Speaker 4: more culpable than anybody.
- 7:38Speaker 5: What was it that led your office to look at
- 7:42Speaker 5: them specifically? A lot of.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Things, but not the least of which was you know,
- 7:48Speaker 4: I spent eight years in the state Auditor's office, which
- 7:50Speaker 4: gave me very very unique insights into a lot of
- 7:55Speaker 4: things that the state spends money on, not a lot
- 7:57Speaker 4: of things, actually all the things that the state spends
- 7:59Speaker 4: money on. And then also, you know, just in the
- 8:02Speaker 4: in the wake of the election and preparing to take over,
- 8:06Speaker 4: you know, we we we spent a lot of time
- 8:08Speaker 4: meeting with lawyers all around the country, asking, you know,
- 8:12Speaker 4: what are the what are the things that I should
- 8:14Speaker 4: be looking at, what are the what are the emerging
- 8:16Speaker 4: trends in some of these sort of large scale consumer complaints,
- 8:20Speaker 4: And this one kept coming up over and over and
- 8:23Speaker 4: over again. These PBMs, especially in a place like West Virginia,
- 8:26Speaker 4: really caused a lot of harm in the opioid crisis.
- 8:29Speaker 4: And when we started looking into it, it was pretty
- 8:31Speaker 4: obvious that this was that the state of West Virginia
- 8:34Speaker 4: needs to hold these people accountable for what they did
- 8:36Speaker 4: to our our families and to the sort of hopefulness
- 8:39Speaker 4: that West Virginian's uh used to enjoy before the the
- 8:43Speaker 4: enormous opioid crisis sort of took over our persona.
- 8:46Speaker 5: And look, you know, we all know what a crisis
- 8:50Speaker 5: that it that it was, but if we can rewind
- 8:52Speaker 5: back to what the mid nineties, is this when we
- 8:55Speaker 5: first started.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say that that's probably that would be
- 8:58Speaker 4: a good estimate.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Yeah, And you know it was the way that it's
- 9:02Speaker 5: been very well documented. I know there was that particular
- 9:06Speaker 5: series that Michael Keaton was a part of that I
- 9:08Speaker 5: thought was very very good.
- 9:09Speaker 4: The Akuoke, director of Drug Control Policy here in West Virginia,
- 9:13Speaker 4: is the person that that was basically right.
- 9:14Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's you know, there was I guess we've
- 9:18Speaker 5: always had an issue with drugs in our societies since
- 9:20Speaker 5: the beginning of time, and I feel not to be
- 9:23Speaker 5: defeatists that we always will. But this was a little
- 9:25Speaker 5: bit of a different situation because this was something that
- 9:28Speaker 5: a lot of people, and especially in West Virginia, where
- 9:31Speaker 5: you have a very labor intensive workforce and we're coal
- 9:34Speaker 5: miners and we're loggers and we're steel workers and things
- 9:36Speaker 5: of that nature. You have an injury and you go
- 9:40Speaker 5: to a physician that you think okay, just like if
- 9:44Speaker 5: you have a sore throat or a stomach virus or whatever.
- 9:46Speaker 5: You go and you get whatever you need and you
- 9:48Speaker 5: go on. This was the first time we'd really seen
- 9:50Speaker 5: anything that was coming directly from the people that we
- 9:54Speaker 5: think JB are supposed to help us.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, and if you look back through the documents,
- 9:59Speaker 4: like from Purdue Pharma, and this is the first time
- 10:01Speaker 4: that the drug dealer involved was a federally regulated company.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Right now, I mean, normally is a gay on the corner,
- 10:06Speaker 4: correct and so the drugs here were coming from a
- 10:09Speaker 4: place where people thought they were safe, and the companies
- 10:14Speaker 4: pretty noticeably knew that they were addictive, much more so
- 10:17Speaker 4: than the mail.
- 10:18Speaker 5: To look at the memos, it really.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Is disgusting it and it makes me physically mad and
- 10:25Speaker 4: almost shaking when I think back at like, what were
- 10:29Speaker 4: they when they knew? They didn't pause at all. They
- 10:33Speaker 4: immediately hit the gas the minute they figured out that
- 10:36Speaker 4: they could make an enormous amount of money off of
- 10:38Speaker 4: our suffering specifically, and you read the emails where they
- 10:41Speaker 4: make fun of us as pillbillies, and they're not just
- 10:43Speaker 4: killing us, they're making fun of us while they're doing it.
- 10:47Speaker 4: I mean as a West Virginian or just as a
- 10:50Speaker 4: human being in general. That kind of callousness is it's
- 10:54Speaker 4: just so brutal that it's hard to really believe that
- 10:56Speaker 4: human beings are capable of that. So what happens next
- 11:00Speaker 4: is next is uh, the company that we've sued is
- 11:04Speaker 4: is no small endeavor. They will have very very high
- 11:07Speaker 4: paid and white shoe what do we call them Philadelphia
- 11:11Speaker 4: lawyers around here that will descend upon the northern district
- 11:14Speaker 4: of West Virginia or in front of Judge Bailey and
- 11:16Speaker 4: Wheeling and we're gonna we're gonna beat them down.
- 11:20Speaker 5: And the timeline are we looking at your name?
- 11:23Speaker 4: It's hard to really say, but you know, these kind
- 11:25Speaker 4: of cases take a really long time. And my hope
- 11:27Speaker 4: is is that Express Scripts will read our complaint, We'll
- 11:30Speaker 4: get through some discovery and they'll understand that that you know,
- 11:33Speaker 4: this can go a lot easier if they come to
- 11:35Speaker 4: the negotiating table and they say, look, we know we
- 11:38Speaker 4: did wrong. We they are a contractor with the State
- 11:41Speaker 4: of West Virginia. Express Scripts is currently a vendor with
- 11:44Speaker 4: the State of West Virginia. And if if they look
- 11:47Speaker 4: at at our people and and and just you know,
- 11:50Speaker 4: they'll say, we think we can come up with a
- 11:52Speaker 4: financial package that is compensating you for what happened, and
- 11:55Speaker 4: we can avoid a long drawn out, miserable situation that's
- 11:59Speaker 4: gonna end in them lose pretty badly.
- 12:01Speaker 5: And you had a great quote that you did on
- 12:04Speaker 5: the interview when you broke this story on talk Line
- 12:06Speaker 5: with what Wilson Meadows yesterday. And I don't remember exactly
- 12:09Speaker 5: word for word, but basically what you were saying. I've
- 12:11Speaker 5: heard it like ten thousand times since in which is
- 12:13Speaker 5: the great quote on your part. You basically said, no
- 12:17Speaker 5: amount of money is going to replace a grieving mother
- 12:20Speaker 5: with her son, or a son or daughter with their mother.
- 12:24Speaker 5: No amount of money is really going to replace that,
- 12:27Speaker 5: no matter what they come up.
- 12:28Speaker 4: But it's the only metric we can use. Right. I
- 12:30Speaker 4: cannot bring back the life that that somebody lost, but
- 12:35Speaker 4: what we can do is hold these folks accountable and
- 12:39Speaker 4: the only way that our legal system allows us to
- 12:41Speaker 4: and that is to extract enough money from them that
- 12:44Speaker 4: we can start to heal going forward, meaning what resources
- 12:49Speaker 4: do we need to make sure that this is the
- 12:50Speaker 4: last generation of people that this crisis affects. And I
- 12:53Speaker 4: think that needs to be everyone's number one goal is
- 12:56Speaker 4: if we're still talking about this opioid crisis in twenty years,
- 13:00Speaker 4: help us Because we got a billion dollars in a
- 13:01Speaker 4: fund to help us do this, and these cases that
- 13:04Speaker 4: we're filing are going to go a long way, I
- 13:05Speaker 4: think to help it as well.
- 13:06Speaker 5: So we had a text here somebody asked about going
- 13:09Speaker 5: after doctors and I mean, this has been done, not necessarily,
- 13:13Speaker 5: but you know, you've only been Attorney General for a
- 13:14Speaker 5: short time, But I mean I can go back twenty
- 13:17Speaker 5: twenty five years, thirty years ago, maybe twenty five when
- 13:20Speaker 5: doctors were being used. Look, I'm from southern West Virginia, Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 5: and we had places down there in the late nineties,
- 13:27Speaker 5: early two thousands that didn't even attempt to look like
- 13:30Speaker 5: an actual medical facility. It was cash only, and there
- 13:33Speaker 5: were lines of cars, and there were lines at five
- 13:36Speaker 5: point thirty in the morning. There were people down there.
- 13:40Speaker 3: But there has.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Been a great effort in going after physicians in this
- 13:44Speaker 5: as well.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, and that that's a task of the United
- 13:47Speaker 4: States Attorney's Office. And so the physicians, when you were
- 13:51Speaker 4: holding them accountable for this, that is a criminal act.
- 13:54Speaker 4: And so the United States Attorney here in the Southern District,
- 13:57Speaker 4: in the Northern District as well, for the last twelve
- 14:00Speaker 4: or fourteen years or so, have been very very active
- 14:03Speaker 4: in finding the doctors who contributed to this problem and
- 14:06Speaker 4: finding them criminally liable for the things that the pain
- 14:10Speaker 4: that they inflicted on their patients.
- 14:12Speaker 5: All right, So what else is on your radar? You
- 14:13Speaker 5: got some of the big things coming up. I mean,
- 14:15Speaker 5: there's a couple of things that are on the horizon
- 14:17Speaker 5: maybe you can't discuss yet. You and I had a
- 14:19Speaker 5: private conversation yesterday. I don't want it, but.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Very secretive, very cia right, Dave. So we've got a
- 14:25Speaker 4: big hearing with the NC double A today. We got
- 14:28Speaker 4: four players that were found ineligible by the NC DOUBLEA
- 14:31Speaker 4: that were recruited and offered scholarships by our football team.
- 14:35Speaker 4: I think what you're going to see out of that
- 14:37Speaker 4: hearing today, and we're an amicus. Our office stepped in
- 14:40Speaker 4: to support the players on the football team there is
- 14:43Speaker 4: that the stories of these young men who were denied
- 14:47Speaker 4: eligibility by the NC double A are amazing, and the
- 14:52Speaker 4: reasons for their lack of eligibility are scurliest, to say
- 14:56Speaker 4: the very least.
- 14:57Speaker 5: If you like that word, to write that down.
- 15:00Speaker 4: And I feel very hopeful that we're going to get
- 15:04Speaker 4: a few of these guys back on the football team
- 15:06Speaker 4: because they deserve an opportunity to play. And these are
- 15:09Speaker 4: young men who have kids, and they have financial obligations,
- 15:12Speaker 4: and some of them miss some time because they had
- 15:16Speaker 4: to pay back medical bills that the NCAA sent them
- 15:18Speaker 4: after they transferred. I mean, it's really the kind of
- 15:21Speaker 4: stuff that when you read it and you're like, you know,
- 15:23Speaker 4: this is a twenty three year old guys trying to
- 15:25Speaker 4: finish up schools, trying to do better for his family.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Probably better to air on the side of letting that
- 15:30Speaker 4: guy go showcases talents and get in the NFL A
- 15:33Speaker 4: lot of.
- 15:33Speaker 5: News coming out of your office. I appreciate you taking
- 15:35Speaker 5: time to be here, and we're going to have you
- 15:37Speaker 5: back later today on Metro News Midday because in the
- 15:39Speaker 5: world of what you got going on, a lot could
- 15:42Speaker 5: change of the next four.
- 15:43Speaker 4: To five and we know that when Amanda's here, the

- 18:42Speaker 5: a good friend, rob reeal for good morning Sister Station
- 18:45Speaker 5: ninety six to one KWS Superstar Country. Yes, sir, hey
- 18:48Speaker 5: doing man.
- 18:49Speaker 6: I can't complain. Sometimes I still do. But anyway, life's
- 18:52Speaker 6: been good to me so far. Uh so uh we
- 18:56Speaker 6: got radio thon, yes coming up. We were just talking
- 19:00Speaker 6: off the air. It feels as those is kind of
- 19:01Speaker 6: snuck up on us because it's been such a busy
- 19:03Speaker 6: summer around here at eleven eleven Virginia Street East. But
- 19:07Speaker 6: we are going to spend two days atu WVU Medicine
- 19:10Speaker 6: Children's in Morgantown. Up on top the Hosteler Center on
- 19:13Speaker 6: the tenth floor. That beautiful view of the stadium that
- 19:16Speaker 6: seats sixty thousand people. I paint that picture in your
- 19:19Speaker 6: head so that I can then tell you one hundred
- 19:23Speaker 6: thousand children served by WVU Medicine Children's in the past
- 19:28Speaker 6: year one and nearly nearly two times filling that stadium
- 19:34Speaker 6: with the number of kids that the Radiothon helps each
- 19:38Speaker 6: and every year.
- 19:38Speaker 5: And this is one of those things that we do
- 19:42Speaker 5: that of course, all of our stations here in the
- 19:43Speaker 5: building are involved in it, but we have all of
- 19:45Speaker 5: our stations around the state. I'm involved in this as well.
- 19:48Speaker 5: And it's again when we say this, it's not just
- 19:50Speaker 5: a tagline. You know that we're proud to live to
- 19:53Speaker 5: where a West Virginia based company. Yes, and that means
- 19:57Speaker 5: something to us. And all you know the state other
- 20:00Speaker 5: stations do great things, not trying to poo poo on
- 20:03Speaker 5: them in any way, but this is something that's really
- 20:06Speaker 5: really near and dear to our heart. And again there's
- 20:08Speaker 5: a reason why we're doing this for in state. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 5: for many years we did it with an out of
- 20:14Speaker 5: state and then we had a great relationship there, but
- 20:17Speaker 5: now we're doing something to help kids in state.
- 20:20Speaker 6: There are great things that are happening at that place
- 20:23Speaker 6: in Minnesota, or that place in Memphis or New York, LA.
- 20:27Speaker 6: There are lots of wonderful hospitals all around the country.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Doing amazing things. But the idea that we have a
- 20:33Speaker 6: world class hospital in our backyard with a level four
- 20:37Speaker 6: nick Q that's the highest level of medical care for
- 20:39Speaker 6: newborns and premature infants available. We're talking West Virginia's only
- 20:44Speaker 6: pediatric card pediatric cardiac surgery program, neurosurgery program for pediatrics.
- 20:51Speaker 5: It's the best of the best.
- 20:52Speaker 6: And we have it right here in the Mountain state.
- 20:55Speaker 5: Indeed, we do talking to Rob Reel Superstar Country ninety
- 20:58Speaker 5: six one kwus about our radio on. So what's the
- 21:00Speaker 5: plan of attack?
- 21:02Speaker 6: So, actually, there's gonna be a little bit of a
- 21:04Speaker 6: pregame for me. Mid State Chevrolet, mid State Ford Northside Automotive.
- 21:09Speaker 6: They are part of our Cares for Kids radiothon. If
- 21:13Speaker 6: folks buy a new or pre owned vehicle from them
- 21:17Speaker 6: in the month of August, they're donating one hundred dollars.
- 21:19Speaker 5: For each of those vehicles.
- 21:21Speaker 6: So we're gonna stop buy and see them two until
- 21:22Speaker 6: four tomorrow, kind of a little pregame party, and then
- 21:25Speaker 6: bright and Early I go on the air five am
- 21:27Speaker 6: from the Hostetler Center on Thursday morning, and there will
- 21:31Speaker 6: be stories of healing and hope.
- 21:34Speaker 3: I know there sometimes.
- 21:36Speaker 6: People think, oh, these are these are so depressing and sad,
- 21:39Speaker 6: and there are certainly sad and scary moments. But what
- 21:43Speaker 6: I want folks to take away from this, what I
- 21:45Speaker 6: hope everybody will take away from this, is the miracles
- 21:48Speaker 6: that happen every day, the healing, the hope, the bright,
- 21:52Speaker 6: healthy kids with whom we'll get to talk over those
- 21:56Speaker 6: couple of days sharing their stories of what goes on
- 21:59Speaker 6: at Believe You Medicine Children.
- 22:01Speaker 5: And again, it's a very good point that you bring up, Robert,
- 22:03Speaker 5: because people think, you know, these are all going to
- 22:06Speaker 5: be doom and gloom time stories, and there are those,
- 22:09Speaker 5: as you said, but man, there's so much hope that
- 22:13Speaker 5: comes out of that facility on a daily basis.
- 22:15Speaker 6: Not every story is going to have a happy ending,
- 22:17Speaker 6: but we're going to hopefully share as many of the
- 22:20Speaker 6: ones as we can as we have time that do
- 22:23Speaker 6: have happy endings. Amy Daly, who is the President and
- 22:26Speaker 6: CEO of Children's Miracle Network, long before she worked for CMN,
- 22:32Speaker 6: she was a CMN parent. Her two kids who are
- 22:35Speaker 6: now knocking on the door of thirty were premies at
- 22:39Speaker 6: a CMN hospital, and so this kind of comes full
- 22:43Speaker 6: circle for her. I get to talk with her. I
- 22:44Speaker 6: think on Thursday is when she's going to be into chat.
- 22:48Speaker 6: So even the folks who are doing the work come
- 22:52Speaker 6: by this. It's deep, deeply rooted in their souls.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Yeah, indeed it is. And so what listeners are going
- 22:59Speaker 5: to here on the air starting when Thurtursday morning? Yep,
- 23:04Speaker 5: but you'll get things started, as you said, a lot
- 23:07Speaker 5: of Yeah I'm on at five Thursday morning, we'll kind
- 23:10Speaker 5: of ring the bell to start things officially at six.
- 23:12Speaker 6: That's when guests will start coming in and we'll start
- 23:15Speaker 6: having more of those of those stories, there's some really
- 23:18Speaker 6: amazing ones that I've gotten to I mean, I've got
- 23:21Speaker 6: a pilon notes in front of me now that I
- 23:24Speaker 6: think you're going to be amazed and astounded and hopefully
- 23:26Speaker 6: moved to become a superstar miracle maker along with us.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Give us a I mean, just off the top of
- 23:31Speaker 5: your head, just even if it's not when you have
- 23:33Speaker 5: in front of you, give us a couple of stories
- 23:35Speaker 5: or one. How's that.
- 23:37Speaker 2: So?
- 23:39Speaker 6: I've gone through about twelve over the past couple of days,
- 23:42Speaker 6: and I think you'll get to hear each of them.
- 23:45Speaker 6: What struck me was a couple three of them were
- 23:48Speaker 6: accident stories. So when we think of WVU Medicine Children,
- 23:53Speaker 6: maybe we think of those premies and we think of
- 23:57Speaker 6: whether it's kids like Brayson who just that they have
- 24:00Speaker 6: scoliosis and have to make the trip up and start
- 24:02Speaker 6: going to clinics there, or kids with heart problems. But
- 24:04Speaker 6: even Chloe's story about being in an accident and her
- 24:09Speaker 6: airbag didn't deploy and her face went right into the dashboard,
- 24:14Speaker 6: And speaking of somebody who's had some reconstructive surgery, they
- 24:18Speaker 6: did the best they could do. It's the Department of Defense.
- 24:20Speaker 6: I mean, this is as good. This is actually better
- 24:22Speaker 6: for those of you who can see my face. This
- 24:24Speaker 6: is better what I started with. But just being able
- 24:28Speaker 6: to put a child's life back on track from an
- 24:32Speaker 6: accident like that, or there are stories of like Jackson
- 24:35Speaker 6: and Zane who were teetering on the brink as newborns,
- 24:40Speaker 6: whom you wouldn't know. Sawyer and Mason, a couple of twins.
- 24:44Speaker 6: They're just regular five year old boys. If you saw
- 24:47Speaker 6: him out playing pee weee soccer, you would have no
- 24:49Speaker 6: idea the amount of time they spent in the nick
- 24:52Speaker 6: you at WVU Medicine Children's I.
- 24:54Speaker 5: Mean there's so many amazing stories rob that had come
- 24:57Speaker 5: out of there. We're happy to spotlight those for you.
- 25:00Speaker 5: And again we'll we'll call on you as we always do,
- 25:02Speaker 5: and we always say you're the greatest listeners in the world.
- 25:04Speaker 5: Can come through all of the activities that we do,
- 25:07Speaker 5: whether it's our sock drops or we just did the
- 25:09Speaker 5: the Beats backpack attack a couple of weeks ago. You
- 25:13Speaker 5: folks always come through for us and this is what
- 25:15Speaker 5: we got and the business community as well.
- 25:16Speaker 6: Yeah, and you hear it every hour on our stations
- 25:19Speaker 6: that we're proud to live here too. We're not just
- 25:22Speaker 6: mouthing it. There are there are some companies that think
- 25:26Speaker 6: that devoting a PSA, you know, once a week to
- 25:29Speaker 6: something is contributing to their community. Maybe for them that is.
- 25:34Speaker 6: But we are roll up our sleeves and get it done.
- 25:36Speaker 6: I am never surprised but always impressed by the way
- 25:40Speaker 6: West Virginians come through for West Virginia.
- 25:42Speaker 5: And we'll be you'll be hearing on the air again.
- 25:44Speaker 5: This is going to be on all of our stations
- 25:46Speaker 5: in the building, so you're going to be hearing how
- 25:48Speaker 5: you can donate. There's always a text available, There's all
- 25:51Speaker 5: that information. We'll have all that out there in the
- 25:53Speaker 5: next couple of days.
- 25:54Speaker 6: Text phone, the text in particular secure whether you are
- 25:58Speaker 6: PayPal or whatever your particular your app for using money,
- 26:04Speaker 6: you'll be able to do that safely and securely. There
- 26:07Speaker 6: is a way to do this no matter how you
- 26:10Speaker 6: move your money.
- 26:11Speaker 5: And look, you can stop by the studio here during
- 26:13Speaker 5: normal business hours if you want to. We'll put Tracy
- 26:15Speaker 5: to work out there. So our normal of business hours
- 26:19Speaker 5: eight to five, we're at eleven eleven, Virginia's Retease in Charleston.
- 26:22Speaker 5: If you want to stop by a monetary donation, that'll
- 26:24Speaker 5: be perfectly fine. I mean, it doesn't matter whether it's
- 26:26Speaker 5: five hundred dollars or it's five dollars, we'll take it.
- 26:28Speaker 6: And the thing I want to stress most about that
- 26:31Speaker 6: every single dollar, dime, penny stays here in West Virginia.
- 26:36Speaker 6: It doesn't pay for me to make the trip up there,
- 26:38Speaker 6: for me to eat, for me to stay in the hotel.
- 26:40Speaker 6: There are folks who sponsor that sort of thing so
- 26:42Speaker 6: that we can do this. Every single penny that you
- 26:47Speaker 6: bring to the table during our cares for kids Radiothon
- 26:49Speaker 6: goes to West Virginia kids.
- 26:51Speaker 5: It's good stuff and we're looking forward to it. And
- 26:54Speaker 5: unlike last time you did something, you don't have to walk.
- 26:58Speaker 5: We're actually going to give you a stationed vehicle to
- 27:01Speaker 5: get it, so you don't have to walk to Morgantown
- 27:04Speaker 5: like you did last time.
- 27:05Speaker 6: Yeah, about that in my big mouth. I hope that
- 27:09Speaker 6: is evidence to folks how emotionally invested I get in
- 27:14Speaker 6: these sort of things that we get into, these sort
- 27:16Speaker 6: of things that I kind.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Of shot my mouth off about.
- 27:21Speaker 6: If we beat last year, I'll walk the check to
- 27:24Speaker 6: Morgantown and y'all came through. And I'm nothing if not
- 27:27Speaker 6: a man of my word, but I will be minding
- 27:31Speaker 6: my p's and ques a little bit better this time,
- 27:34Speaker 6: and maybe I won't say anything quite So, what's the
- 27:37Speaker 6: word foolhardy?
- 27:38Speaker 5: Let's go with full foolhardy, as my grandmother used to
- 27:41Speaker 5: say in that typical you know from Wyoming County dialec
- 27:45Speaker 5: this yet, don't let your mouth write a check that
- 27:47Speaker 5: your blank can't cash. And that's basically what you did.
- 27:50Speaker 5: But you cashed it.
- 27:51Speaker 6: Yeah, a great, big, comically large check. Or as my
- 27:54Speaker 6: grandmother would have actually did say to me and her English,
- 27:56Speaker 6: once you ain't the sharpest taco on the tree.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Is exactly exactly right. So again we'll get things started.
- 28:02Speaker 5: You're gonna be up at mid State mid State Chevrolet
- 28:05Speaker 5: tomorrow and that's a great promotion that they're doing one
- 28:07Speaker 5: hundred bucks on any every vehicle, every vehicle that they sell.
- 28:11Speaker 5: And what was the timeframe on I will be there
- 28:13Speaker 5: noon until not let me check that at is two
- 28:16Speaker 5: until four tomorrow and the head up to Morgantown for
- 28:19Speaker 5: American YEP.
- 28:20Speaker 6: So a little pregame with Tim and the folks at
- 28:23Speaker 6: mid State Chevrolette.
- 28:24Speaker 5: They're good, they're great people.
- 28:25Speaker 6: They are I seventy nine exs at sixty seven in

- 28:40Speaker 5: Watch your mouth because the thing about promotion like that

- 32:18Speaker 5: News and Tonight Live anchor Mande Bart and me Gold.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Welcome in to the show.
- 32:22Speaker 5: West Virginia Secretary of State Chris Warner. Now, all of
- 32:25Speaker 5: the county clerks and other election officials are gathering for
- 32:28Speaker 5: their annual conference. And this is something that is done
- 32:32Speaker 5: every year by code, I believe, with the Secretary of
- 32:34Speaker 5: State's office. His office will be there, the staff will
- 32:36Speaker 5: be there, all fifty five county clerks, so their representatives.
- 32:39Speaker 5: They all gather for trainings and things of that nature.
- 32:43Speaker 5: But there's a lot in the news as far as
- 32:46Speaker 5: elections go, and it pertains to President Trump. The President
- 32:52Speaker 5: has a real issue with mail in ballots and voting machines,
- 32:57Speaker 5: and the Secretary is concerned about the voting machine aspect.
- 33:02Speaker 5: He talked about that on this show one day last
- 33:05Speaker 5: week when they had him on talking about pollworker recruitment,
- 33:08Speaker 5: and also on Metro News Midday, and he's been on
- 33:10Speaker 5: talk Line as well, and he's got a concern about
- 33:13Speaker 5: the President's executive orders, but he says talking about Secretary
- 33:18Speaker 5: of Warner, that he's not as much concerned about the
- 33:21Speaker 5: mail in ballots in West Virginia because of the way
- 33:25Speaker 5: mail in ballots are actually done in West Virginia. There
- 33:29Speaker 5: is nothing is one hundred percent foolproof, as you know,
- 33:32Speaker 5: but there's some added steps in West Virginia that the
- 33:35Speaker 5: other states don't necessarily do. So we're going to talk
- 33:39Speaker 5: to Secretary Warner about that. Plus, the West Virginia Chamber
- 33:41Speaker 5: of Commerce is gearing up for their annual Business Summit
- 33:45Speaker 5: next week at the Greenbrier. We'll talk to Caitlin George
- 33:47Speaker 5: from the Chamber about that little programming. Note, the talk
- 33:51Speaker 5: line boys are going to be there, I think, broadcasting
- 33:54Speaker 5: live at least one day at the business summit next week.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Wilson and Meadows will be there live, not sending me
- 34:01Speaker 5: to the Greenbrier. There was an incident a couple of
- 34:03Speaker 5: years ago, and I can't talk about it. I'm kidding,
- 34:05Speaker 5: but they're gonna be there, so again, anyway, we're gonna
- 34:09Speaker 5: talk to Kaylin George about that. There was a virtual
- 34:13Speaker 5: hearing held last night and there's a lot of talk,
- 34:17Speaker 5: of course about data centers and things of that nature.
- 34:19Speaker 5: This virtual hearing was about one that's proposed for Mingo County,
- 34:23Speaker 5: and we're going to talk about that. It's also another
- 34:27Speaker 5: one of these data centers that's being proposed for Putnam County,
- 34:29Speaker 5: and so we're going to get into that story. Jeff
- 34:31Speaker 5: Jenkins will have the news and more Metro News Midday
- 34:33Speaker 5: powered by Selango Law coming up at noon today on
- 34:36Speaker 5: this another Metro News stations thirteen News and Tonight Live
- 34:39Speaker 5: anchor a Mande Baron and me on this show tomorrow.
- 34:43Speaker 5: And I did a little digging on this yesterday. I
- 34:45Speaker 5: talked to some folks. Thank you to former Legislator Rick
- 34:48Speaker 5: Stayton who was able to help me kind of put
- 34:49Speaker 5: this thing together. Tomorrow, there's going to be a town
- 34:52Speaker 5: hall put on by some local Democrats. The event is
- 34:57Speaker 5: Sunday and it starts at two o'clock at the Woman's
- 35:00Speaker 5: Club of Charleston. That's sixteen hundred Virginia Street East. And
- 35:03Speaker 5: we're going to talk to a couple of the organizers
- 35:06Speaker 5: about that particular event. And you know, there's been a
- 35:09Speaker 5: lot in the news about town halls here as of
- 35:13Speaker 5: late and if you look around the country, Now, this
- 35:15Speaker 5: is an event, we're not expecting any problems that, but
- 35:18Speaker 5: you look at some of the town halls that have
- 35:19Speaker 5: been held across the country with good reason there. I
- 35:25Speaker 5: completely get why some of our elected officials I've called
- 35:29Speaker 5: them in the task a couple of times, but but
- 35:33Speaker 5: I'm gonna be honest with you, the way that a
- 35:34Speaker 5: lot of these town halls are held, it becomes a
- 35:37Speaker 5: safety issue. Well, this is not that kind of event. Okay,
- 35:41Speaker 5: they are inviting other pretty much all elected officials to
- 35:45Speaker 5: be there. I don't know who's going to show up,
- 35:47Speaker 5: but the event is this Sunday at the Women's Club
- 35:49Speaker 5: in Charles. We'll talk to the organizers about that. Plus
- 35:51Speaker 5: your good friend Millie Snyder is going to be stopping
- 35:53Speaker 5: by as well. Also just added to the show, there's
- 35:57Speaker 5: an event happening this Saturday and it's called bumper Fest.
- 36:03Speaker 5: And I was able to talk to a lovely lady
- 36:07Speaker 5: but a name a two D Taylor a little bit
- 36:09Speaker 5: before the show this morning, and they're having a bit
- 36:12Speaker 5: of a fundraiser. We're to get into all of that,
- 36:15Speaker 5: but there's going to be some WVU legends held at
- 36:18Speaker 5: this particular event. Meg Bulger is going to be there,
- 36:20Speaker 5: Major Harris and they're working on a couple of others.
- 36:23Speaker 5: So well we'll get into that event coming up on
- 36:25Speaker 5: tomorrow's show. Big Ley Pigley Wiggly Hotline three zero four

- 36:47Speaker 5: in your office, you have a request to get Coach
- 36:51Speaker 5: Rod and get Pat White to stop by. And again
- 36:55Speaker 5: KWS is going to be there. I think Logan Scott
- 36:57Speaker 5: from V one hundred is going to be there as well.
- 36:58Speaker 5: This is one of those things at all of our
- 37:00Speaker 5: events or all of our stations, I should say, take
- 37:02Speaker 5: part in. Speaking of big events coming up, do you
- 37:05Speaker 5: want to remind you about the annual Paint the Capital
- 37:07Speaker 5: City Green event sponsored by the Marshall University Quarterback Club
- 37:10Speaker 5: of Charleston, happening Thursday six o'clock at the Marshall University
- 37:14Speaker 5: Bill No. Flight School up at West Virginia International Yeager Airport.
- 37:18Speaker 5: I'm going to be serving as the MC. Looking forward
- 37:20Speaker 5: to that. Marshall coaches, Tony Gibson, Corney Jackson, Juliet Folks
- 37:25Speaker 5: and others will be there. The new athletic director, Gerald
- 37:28Speaker 5: Harrison's going to be there as well. I have not
- 37:29Speaker 5: get a chance to meet mister Harrison, but I'm gonna
- 37:31Speaker 5: tell you what after that press conference he had when
- 37:33Speaker 5: he was hired a couple of weeks ago, he had
- 37:35Speaker 5: me ready to run through a wall. I mean, this
- 37:38Speaker 5: guy's a fiery guy. He's going to be there. He's
- 37:41Speaker 5: i think officially went on the job this past weekend
- 37:44Speaker 5: once the ink was drying, the contract and everything, so
- 37:46Speaker 5: he's going to be there as well. The voice of
- 37:48Speaker 5: the Thundering and Heard Steve Cotton will be there as
- 37:51Speaker 5: well as we paint the Capital City green Thursday night.
- 37:53Speaker 5: It's always a lot of fun. I enjoy being the
- 37:57Speaker 5: MC of this thing I've done along with Steve. Animal
- 38:00Speaker 5: from the Mountain the last couple of years. Animals not
- 38:03Speaker 5: gonna be able to be there this year because the
- 38:05Speaker 5: Mountain has a live broadcast that night from Fife Street
- 38:07Speaker 5: Brewery on Summer Street here in Charleston, so he'll be
- 38:10Speaker 5: down there for that. I'll be doing this solo, looking
- 38:12Speaker 5: forward to it shockly from the Mountain. Will be there
- 38:15Speaker 5: as well, so we hope that you can join us.
- 38:16Speaker 5: There are limited, limited amount of tickets available. As I
- 38:20Speaker 5: said on yesterday's show when we were talking to Steve Cotton,
- 38:23Speaker 5: you show up at six o'clock up at the airport,
- 38:25Speaker 5: you're probably not going to get in. So what you
- 38:27Speaker 5: need to do is just look up the Big Green.
- 38:30Speaker 5: I think it's Marshall dot Edu slash Big Green. You
- 38:32Speaker 5: can get tickets there because they are going quickly. This
- 38:34Speaker 5: thing sells out every year. My good friend Chef Paul
- 38:37Speaker 5: is going to be providing the food, plenty of food,
- 38:40Speaker 5: plenty of drink as we get ready for what we
- 38:41Speaker 5: hope is going to be a great season of Marshall
- 38:43Speaker 5: University sports. And again it's paint the Capital City green
- 38:46Speaker 5: Thursday night at six o'clock up to bill No Flight
- 38:48Speaker 5: School at West Virginia International Yeager Airport, and those folks
- 38:51Speaker 5: up there always roll out the red carpet there maybe
- 38:56Speaker 5: I should say green carpet. They'll have some airplanes on
- 38:58Speaker 5: display and more so if you get an opportunity, stop
- 39:00Speaker 5: by and cheg it out. I am looking forward to
- 39:03Speaker 5: seeing you up there this Thursday.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Night, Texas.
- 39:06Speaker 5: Dave, President Trump is the best president I've seen in
- 39:09Speaker 5: my lifetime. He's done a lot of positive things to

- 39:31Speaker 5: Speaking of food, as I'd frequently like to speak about,
- 39:34Speaker 5: what about that announcement yesterday that former Charleston mayor Danny
- 39:39Speaker 5: Jones regular on the show. I try to have him
- 39:41Speaker 5: on every Monday. He made the announcement on the show yesterday.
- 39:46Speaker 5: He's opening or should I say reopening Danny's barbecue stand
- 39:51Speaker 5: on Courier Now. He's actually turning over the keys to
- 39:54Speaker 5: the restaurant to a guy from Beckley by the name
- 39:56Speaker 5: of Benjamin nol BJ as he's known successful restauranteur in
- 40:01Speaker 5: the Beckley area, going to make his first, as far
- 40:04Speaker 5: as I know, his first ventures into Charleston. Danny says
- 40:09Speaker 5: he's going to be there every day and he's going
- 40:12Speaker 5: to be teaching bj the secrets of his famous barbecue,
- 40:15Speaker 5: the ribs, the sides, everything else. And I'm going to
- 40:17Speaker 5: be honest, as I said on the show yesterday, the
- 40:20Speaker 5: sides are just as good as the barbecue in my opinion.
- 40:23Speaker 5: And don't sleep when he has it on that smoked
- 40:25Speaker 5: chicken soup, the chicken noodles. The smoked chicken noodles was
- 40:28Speaker 5: absolutely fantastic. It's set to open toward the end of
- 40:32Speaker 5: the week, the first week of September, that's Labor Day week,
- 40:35Speaker 5: and I for one am looking forward to it. Fox Shield,
- 40:41Speaker 5: Tex says day there was an amazing moment in Morgantown
- 40:44Speaker 5: back on Saturday. A member of the Mouth Her football
- 40:46Speaker 5: team after practice was back on Saturday, co head strength
- 40:49Speaker 5: coach Parker Whiteman fulfilled the request of a player of
- 40:52Speaker 5: the Mouth And football team by performing his baptism with
- 40:56Speaker 5: his team there with him. Parents beside yourself. These are
- 40:59Speaker 5: the young man you want your children to look up
- 41:01Speaker 5: to for leadership and guidance. You heard me talk about
- 41:06Speaker 5: this a little bit on the show yesterday. But Mayor
- 41:10Speaker 5: good One told me this a couple of years ago,
- 41:13Speaker 5: and I believe her now. The mayor on this program said,
- 41:20Speaker 5: people get fired up about potholes or snow removal, or
- 41:26Speaker 5: homeless issues, infrastructure, etc. Etc. But the things that get
- 41:32Speaker 5: people fired up with the most. And this is not
- 41:34Speaker 5: exclusive to Charleston. It happens everywhere. Trick or treat and
- 41:39Speaker 5: Christmas parades. Remember all the controversy over the Christmas parade,
- 41:43Speaker 5: and there's people The Christmas Parade used to be held
- 41:46Speaker 5: in Charleston on Saturday afternoon. They moved it to Thursday nights.
- 41:49Speaker 5: People got all upset about that. Well, apparently the big
- 41:54Speaker 5: outrage Danny and I talked about this a little bit yesterday,
- 41:57Speaker 5: the big outrage over the last couple of days in
- 41:59Speaker 5: kna Ac count The county has made the decision to
- 42:03Speaker 5: do their trick or treating on Thursday, October thirtieth instead
- 42:07Speaker 5: of Friday the thirty first, which is actually Halloween night.
- 42:12Speaker 5: And they did so from what I have read, as
- 42:14Speaker 5: to not compete with high school football, and people have
- 42:19Speaker 5: lost their collective minds over this. I am serious about this.
- 42:26Speaker 5: This is what we have to worry about, I guess.
- 42:29Speaker 5: And as I pointed out yesterday on Midday, there is
- 42:34Speaker 5: no trick or treat police, parents, grandparents. Your kids can
- 42:38Speaker 5: trick or treat anytime they want. They can trick or
- 42:40Speaker 5: treat in April. They can go on Christmas Eve if
- 42:43Speaker 5: they want to. It doesn't matter. So if you want
- 42:46Speaker 5: to send your kids out on Halloween nights, sent thement
- 42:48Speaker 5: on Halloween night, do whatever you want it just I
- 42:51Speaker 5: guess it kind of makes me scratch my head sometimes.
- 42:56Speaker 5: And you know what else makes me scratch my head
- 42:59Speaker 5: from time the time. I was reading last night on
- 43:04Speaker 5: one local community here in the area and how they
- 43:08Speaker 5: planned to handle.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Traffic flow when school starts.
- 43:12Speaker 5: And it's already started, of course here in Kanawa County,
- 43:14Speaker 5: but this was in Putnham County, which I think school
- 43:17Speaker 5: starts in Putnam County on Thursday. I think, and I
- 43:21Speaker 5: thought to myself, if only there were a way to
- 43:28Speaker 5: safely transport kids to a school that didn't involve parents
- 43:35Speaker 5: or grandparents actually taking the kids to school. If only
- 43:40Speaker 5: we had a way to get kids to school, maybe
- 43:45Speaker 5: some large mode of transportation. Maybe I don't know, maybe
- 43:52Speaker 5: yellow in color. If only we had a way to
- 43:57Speaker 5: do that. What an interesting concept. Nine to fifty one.

- 47:52Speaker 5: is continuing, and I had some conversations earlier in the
- 47:56Speaker 5: day with County Commissioned President Bensolango, and I think we're

- 48:02Speaker 5: about Selango light the night. Uh, Texas Thursday nights or
- 48:08Speaker 5: middle school football nights. Well, every night is something, you know,
- 48:11Speaker 5: it's Thursday night is middle school night, Friday night is
- 48:15Speaker 5: high school night. Then they said, well, we don't want
- 48:17Speaker 5: to do it trick or treating. I'm talking about on
- 48:19Speaker 5: Saturday night because the people are out partying or whatever.
- 48:21Speaker 5: Don't want to do it on Sunday night because that's
- 48:23Speaker 5: a that's a church night. Wednesday night is it also
- 48:26Speaker 5: a church night? So that leaves Monday and Tuesday.
- 48:29Speaker 3: And again that's not.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Gonna make some people happy either. You can't make everybody happy.
- 48:34Speaker 3: Texas Day.
- 48:35Speaker 5: They don't want the football stands to be empty. That's
- 48:37Speaker 5: the reason for the dumb decision to have trick or
- 48:39Speaker 5: treating on Thursday while Halloween is on a Friday. This
- 48:42Speaker 5: isn't Texas. High school football comes after trick or treating,
- 48:46Speaker 5: it says a Texter. Tex says let's all send the
- 48:50Speaker 5: kids to Dave Allen's house on Christmas Eve to trick
