- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, nine till noon weekdays. Mark Simone. More Mark.
- 0:04Speaker 2: On 710WOR.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey, it's hour number two. That's right. We start at
- 0:11Speaker 1: nine o'clock now. Nine to noon every day. Three hours
- 0:15Speaker 1: every day. So, uh, Katie Zachariah, uh, they'll be trying to, uh,
- 0:21Speaker 1: you know, fake news. We'll spend two, three days on
- 0:25Speaker 1: this trying to destroy her. Besides, um, doing the daily briefing,
- 0:30Speaker 1: it's a big job. You got to work like 10,
- 0:33Speaker 1: 12 hours a day in the office. You got to
- 0:36Speaker 1: meet with all the principals all day long, get up
- 0:38Speaker 1: to speed on every little detail. Then your phone will
- 0:42Speaker 1: ring all night long. When you're the press secretary, anything
- 0:45Speaker 1: happens anywhere. The bombing in Iran bombs a base somewhere.
- 0:51Speaker 1: You're going to get woken up. They're going to give
- 0:52Speaker 1: you the briefing for a half hour. And then the
- 0:55Speaker 1: other problem is, The jackals in the fake news are
- 0:58Speaker 1: going to go over every inch of your life and
- 1:01Speaker 1: trying to find something wrong with your personal life. Now,
- 1:04Speaker 1: they do have something that they are going after. She
- 1:07Speaker 1: has always said she's a lawyer. Katie Zachariah has always
- 1:11Speaker 1: said she's a lawyer. She did a lot of TV
- 1:13Speaker 1: and a lot of commentary. And in many of those,
- 1:19Speaker 1: said she was some sort of legal expert, a lawyer. Now,
- 1:22Speaker 1: she did graduate law school. She does have a law degree.
- 1:26Speaker 1: But all these jackals are digging through everything. They can't
- 1:30Speaker 1: find any place where she's admitted to the bar. She
- 1:37Speaker 1: went to Pepperdine University, graduated with a law degree in 2011,
- 1:44Speaker 1: but they cannot find– she's not listed as a member
- 1:48Speaker 1: of the bar in any state that they can find
- 1:51Speaker 1: in the legal– You'd have to pass the bar to
- 1:56Speaker 1: be able to legally practice law. She did apparently work
- 2:00Speaker 1: as a lawyer for a non-profit doing legal work. I
- 2:04Speaker 1: guess you could do that without passing the bar. I'm
- 2:09Speaker 1: looking through this now. She did live in China for
- 2:11Speaker 1: a couple of years. She's married and her husband had
- 2:13Speaker 1: to move to China for work. So for a couple
- 2:15Speaker 1: of years, she went there. She claimed she did some
- 2:19Speaker 1: legal stuff in China. However... according to Chinese law, you
- 2:26Speaker 1: cannot practice any kind of law unless you're a Chinese citizen. Well,
- 2:31Speaker 1: that would make sense. So she's going to have to
- 2:34Speaker 1: straighten that out. Where did she actually practice law? Did
- 2:38Speaker 1: she pass the bar anywhere? They asked her yesterday on camera,
- 2:41Speaker 1: and she was a little evasive about that. But that's
- 2:46Speaker 1: a minor little footnote. Again, she was fine doing the briefing.
- 2:51Speaker 1: You're going to hear that it was disaster. It was
- 2:53Speaker 1: a train wreck. It was... No, listen to her.
- 2:55Speaker 3: So I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family,
- 2:59Speaker 3: include my kids in my work. Though my work will
- 3:02Speaker 3: be demanding, they will always be a priority. And I...
- 3:05Speaker 3: President Trump... is the most family-friendly president we've ever had.
- 3:09Speaker 3: He has hired more women with families and the fact
- 3:12Speaker 3: that he knew I had four kids and he knew
- 3:15Speaker 3: that this job would be demanding and still placed his
- 3:17Speaker 3: trust in me shows that I know I'm capable of
- 3:20Speaker 3: being able to.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Step up to that.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Okay. Now, you listen to that. Would you describe that
- 3:25Speaker 1: as a train wreck?
- 3:27Speaker 4: No.
- 3:27Speaker 1: She sounded fine to me. I mean, listen, she was
- 3:31Speaker 1: a little nervous, a little shaky when she had to
- 3:33Speaker 1: read that eight-minute statement. But She sounded fine. She took
- 3:37Speaker 1: three questions and I'm sure that's what they were. Two
- 3:40Speaker 1: things happened. They told her, you know, just take a
- 3:42Speaker 1: few questions. Don't make it a long briefing. Keep it short.
- 3:45Speaker 1: The briefing was 14 minutes. If you're watching the MSNBC nuts,
- 3:50Speaker 1: they were all going 14 minutes. What's only 14 minutes.
- 3:53Speaker 1: What nobody's ever had a briefing that short.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 1: There've been plenty of briefings that short, shortest one ever
- 3:57Speaker 1: was a 10 minutes. Karine Jean Pierre, but it's not
- 4:03Speaker 1: that unusual. So they, huffing and puffing and yelling and screaming,
- 4:06Speaker 1: trying to rile up their viewers all day about it.
- 4:10Speaker 1: She'll be fine. They'll get her a little media coach.
- 4:12Speaker 1: The problem is they'll have to teach her how to
- 4:14Speaker 1: read the script and look up and all that. So
- 4:16Speaker 1: you can learn that. And the next briefing, she'll be
- 4:20Speaker 1: better and better. And within two weeks, she'll be fine.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Remember Sean Spicer's first briefing was pretty bad. Then he
- 4:26Speaker 1: got the hang of it. Hey, Elon Omar looks like
- 4:29Speaker 1: she's going to have problems. They raided her house. They're
- 4:32Speaker 1: focusing on all kinds of things. Her lying on her
- 4:34Speaker 1: immigration documents. It looks like she may have lied about
- 4:38Speaker 1: her age, but somehow she got her age changed on
- 4:44Speaker 1: a birth certificate. They're looking at that kind of stuff.
- 4:47Speaker 1: By the way, you'll notice all day on MSNOW, CNN,
- 4:51Speaker 1: all day long, nonstop coverage of where did Katie Zakara
- 4:56Speaker 1: pass the bar? They're going over, they won't stop covering.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You'll notice there was no mention of the Ilhan Omar
- 5:01Speaker 1: age problem Seems like she changed her age on a document.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It seems like she may have lied on her. There's
- 5:07Speaker 1: no investigation into this by, no mention of it by
- 5:12Speaker 1: MSNOW or CNN. All they mention is that how dare
- 5:15Speaker 1: they raid her house. Why, this is fascist. The same
- 5:19Speaker 1: people that were cheering when Mar-a-Lago got raided. So it
- 5:22Speaker 1: looks like she could have a real problem. Now, you
- 5:24Speaker 1: know who's going to have a big problem with the
- 5:25Speaker 1: Trump administration? A lot of the banks. These major banks
- 5:30Speaker 1: did one of the, This is about the dirtiest episode
- 5:33Speaker 1: in the history of banking. Joe Biden asked the major banks,
- 5:40Speaker 1: the Biden administration pressured them to debank Donald Trump and
- 5:45Speaker 1: lots of conservatives. Debank means they throw you out of
- 5:48Speaker 1: the bank. You're not allowed to have an account. And
- 5:51Speaker 1: then all the banks blacklist you. You cannot have a
- 5:54Speaker 1: bank account. Now, that's pretty serious stuff for an individual
- 5:59Speaker 1: not to have a bank account that could really screw
- 6:01Speaker 1: up your life. For a major business, let's say you're
- 6:04Speaker 1: the Trump organization, you're a multi-billion dollar business and you
- 6:08Speaker 1: can't have a bank account, where are you supposed to
- 6:10Speaker 1: keep $ 7 billion? How do you write a check? How
- 6:13Speaker 1: do you do any business without a bank account? I mean,
- 6:18Speaker 1: they had to scramble and move to European banks and
- 6:21Speaker 1: that kind of stuff, but it's a nightmare. And it's
- 6:24Speaker 1: a horrible, horrible, horrible thing to do. Just blacklist people
- 6:29Speaker 1: from the banking system, but they did it. because they
- 6:31Speaker 1: were terrified of the Biden administration and what the Bidens
- 6:35Speaker 1: might do to them. So they all did it. JPMorgan Chase,
- 6:39Speaker 1: Bank of America, all these major banks. So the Justice
- 6:43Speaker 1: Department is now investigating this. And it turns out they
- 6:50Speaker 1: may have also closed 100,000 accounts of anybody who was
- 6:55Speaker 1: a big Trump person, conservative groups, pro-life groups. They may
- 7:00Speaker 1: have debanked all of them. They're looking at 100,000 complaints here,
- 7:06Speaker 1: 50,000 complaints there. This is going to be serious stuff.
- 7:10Speaker 1: It's JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, Capital One, PNC, U.S. Bank,
- 7:17Speaker 1: TD Bank, BMO Bank, found to have discriminated against American
- 7:22Speaker 1: consumers in And this is going to get real serious.
- 7:26Speaker 1: They're going to have to settle this case with the government.
- 7:29Speaker 1: It will mean massive fines. Huge, multi-billion dollar fines will
- 7:37Speaker 1: have to be paid by the banks. This is a
- 7:39Speaker 1: real serious thing. You know, the bank could be debanked.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They could have their banking privileges taken away. Serious stuff.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And they really are going after these banks. Now, there's
- 7:50Speaker 1: another problem. Bank of America... just got fined $ 1. 2 billion
- 7:56Speaker 1: by the Treasury Department. Bank of America allegedly violating anti-money
- 8:01Speaker 1: laundering and sanctions laws. So they're going to have to
- 8:05Speaker 1: pay a $ 1. 2 billion penalty. Now, what happens there is
- 8:10Speaker 1: the bank is not doing the money laundering. Well, it's
- 8:13Speaker 1: not that they're starting it. It's the customer is laundering money.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It's the customer is violating sanctions. And the bank is
- 8:22Speaker 1: not saying anything because it's a multi, multi, multi-million dollar account.
- 8:27Speaker 1: And the bank doesn't want to lose the business, so
- 8:29Speaker 1: they look the other way. They did that with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You remember JPMorgan Chase, very embarrassing. Epstein had something like $ 500, 000,
- 8:39Speaker 1: $ 600, 000 in the bank, and they didn't want to lose
- 8:41Speaker 1: the account. So they let him do whatever the hell
- 8:45Speaker 1: he was doing, but they wouldn't remove Epstein's account. So
- 8:49Speaker 1: This is serious stuff. There were guys money laundering. There
- 8:52Speaker 1: were guys violating the international sanctions with Russia and Iran
- 8:57Speaker 1: and the bank looking the other way because they didn't
- 8:59Speaker 1: want to lose an account that big. So, in fact,
- 9:03Speaker 1: Treasury said Bank of America admits it willfully violated the
- 9:07Speaker 1: Bank Secrecy Act. So they're going to pay this fine,
- 9:12Speaker 1: $ 1. 2 billion. Pretty serious. Hey, Cornell University is going to,
- 9:20Speaker 1: shut down a fraternity or two. And also, Cornell has
- 9:24Speaker 1: now banned all fraternity parties. No more frat parties allowed
- 9:29Speaker 1: on campus as they make sweeping changes. Any fraternity caught
- 9:36Speaker 1: holding a party will be closed down. Bill Maher has
- 9:40Speaker 1: been calling for them to end all fraternities, get rid
- 9:43Speaker 1: of them. A bunch of men all living like that,
- 9:45Speaker 1: it's going to be trouble. Remember, Bill Maher is a
- 9:48Speaker 1: Cornell graduate And that was a big thing in the
- 9:51Speaker 1: debate last night, the Cornell stuff, where Bruce Blakeman really
- 9:55Speaker 1: hit Kathy Hochul hard in the debate. And when it
- 9:58Speaker 1: came to Cornell, I don't think anybody realized this, half
- 10:02Speaker 1: of Cornell is a state college. The state of New
- 10:04Speaker 1: York partners with Cornell. So when the whole thing happened,
- 10:08Speaker 1: this horrible incident, you know, this incident is two years ago.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Two years ago. Where was Hochul on this two years ago?
- 10:16Speaker 1: And you remember it went to a local district attorney.
- 10:19Speaker 1: who dropped the case. The district attorneys work for the state.
- 10:22Speaker 1: It's a state job. It's all up to Hochul. And
- 10:26Speaker 1: she did nothing. And Blakeman kept pointing out, you're a
- 10:30Speaker 1: trustee of Cornell. You're on the board of Cornell. And
- 10:32Speaker 1: you did nothing about this back then. Didn't look good
- 10:35Speaker 1: for Hochul. Hochul spent the whole night screaming about it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: about Trump.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Just four days ago, you stood on a stage screaming
- 10:43Speaker 2: at the top of your lungs, we love Donald Trump.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Is it his unfettered use of ICE terrorizing our neighborhoods?
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's a rally. You yell stuff like that.
- 10:54Speaker 4: Donald Trump's my friend. He's endorsed me. But so is
- 10:57Speaker 4: Bonnie Lautenberg, actor Deborah Messing, who's a liberal Democrat.
- 11:02Speaker 2: All right, so you got two votes. Good for you.
- 11:04Speaker 1: No, that was her best line of the whole night.
- 11:06Speaker 4: When you talk about Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump,
- 11:09Speaker 4: that's all you can talk about because you have a
- 11:12Speaker 4: record of failure and misery for the people who live
- 11:15Speaker 4: in this state.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I did not wrap myself in the shroud of Donald Trump.
- 11:19Speaker 4: The way you did. No, you wrap it in Zoran Mondani.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Who Donald Trump actually thinks is a great mayor.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, you notice the moderator is always going to
- 11:27Speaker 1: jump in. If it looks bad for Hochul, the moderator
- 11:30Speaker 1: jumps right in. We have to move on. We have
- 11:32Speaker 1: to move on.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Governor Hochul, under your sanctuary policies, a 14-year-old girl was
- 11:39Speaker 4: raped recently here in New York State by an illegal migrant.
- 11:44Speaker 4: Four Irondequoit residents were killed recently by an illegal migrant.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Two of those victims were children under the age of five.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Two Nassau County women in their 30s were killed by
- 11:59Speaker 4: an illegal migrant because of your sanctuary policies. Will you
- 12:03Speaker 4: apologize to that 14-year-old girl whose life is forever changed
- 12:09Speaker 4: and her family and the families of those who were killed?
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot of great moments from Bruce Blakeman. Everybody
- 12:15Speaker 1: thought he won, even when they do in the... Some
- 12:19Speaker 1: news organization has put together a panel of political analysts.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Even they couldn't say Holkl won. There was one out
- 12:26Speaker 1: of 100 that actually said that. The Democratic strategists, all
- 12:29Speaker 1: they could say was, well, it was a tie. That
- 12:32Speaker 1: means Blakeman won.
- 12:33Speaker 2: You know, any crime is heartbreaking. There's a family left
- 12:40Speaker 2: with a huge hole in their heart. And I abhor
- 12:44Speaker 2: all crimes, regardless of the perpetrator.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's about all she could do, make some kind
- 12:50Speaker 1: of little dramatic speech, but Blakeman was powerful throughout the debate.
- 12:54Speaker 4: We haven't heard U.S. News and World Report says I
- 12:58Speaker 4: have the safest county in America. So I back law
- 13:02Speaker 4: enforcement and I back the laws of both our federal government,
- 13:05Speaker 4: our state government. And I give our law enforcement professionals
- 13:08Speaker 4: the tools they need to keep us safe. But you
- 13:11Speaker 4: say you spent four billion dollars on law enforcement. Well,
- 13:15Speaker 4: you spend eight billion dollars on illegal migrants and gave
- 13:18Speaker 4: them more benefits than New Yorkers get. How does that
- 13:21Speaker 4: make any sense? Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 1: So those were the powerful moments. Now, unfortunately, it's New
- 13:25Speaker 1: York 1. Nobody in the world sees New York 1.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They got a tiny, tiny, tiny audience. But hopefully the
- 13:31Speaker 1: social media, the clips on the news, hopefully that gets around.
- 13:35Speaker 2: I can't believe you just took credit.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Now, U.S. News and World Report does say Bruce Blankman
- 13:41Speaker 1: has the safest county in America. Listen to her comeback.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I can't believe you just took credit for what The
- 13:46Speaker 2: Democratic predecessor in your county did.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Oh, she was the county executive in 2024?
- 13:50Speaker 2: It was under Laura Curran that the crime started going down.
- 13:57Speaker 2: They called Nassau County— Wasn't that during COVID?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Yeah, now, that's a pretty ridiculous argument. Brakeman's been in
- 14:03Speaker 1: office for about eight years. How long is it? Six years.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Six years he's been the county executive, claiming it was
- 14:11Speaker 1: the previous— just insane.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Kathy— Donald Trump didn't raise utility rates 48 times, you did.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Donald Trump didn't increase our utility bills by 50% since
- 14:24Speaker 4: you become governor. You gave $ 150 back to people in
- 14:29Speaker 4: a rebate in an election year, right before the election,
- 14:33Speaker 4: when you've raised the average bill $ 4, 000 a year, and
- 14:37Speaker 4: your own energy research department says your policies will raise
- 14:42Speaker 4: it another $ 4, 000 in the next five years.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so she got hit pretty hard, just like that,
- 14:48Speaker 1: all night long. Anyway, we'll take some calls next. You
- 14:51Speaker 1: want to let me know what you thought about it
- 14:53Speaker 1: or anything else? 1-800- 321-0710 is the number.
- 14:56Speaker 3: 1-800-321-0710.
