The USCCB document Called to the Joy of Love is the national pastoral framework for marriage and family life ministry, which came out in 2021 and is inspired by Pope Francis’ 2016 encyclical Amoris Laetitia addressing the pastoral care of families, following the Synods on the Family in 2014 and 2015.
