- 0:00So there's there's a law that we were given, but not to keep it,
- 0:03just to try so that we would know that we can't keep it.
- 0:06So therefore we're sinners, and we need.
- 0:07You exactly every question watching the show right now is
- 0:10going am I saying or saying it the truth to polar opposite
- 0:13views of the world. Christianity is man's effort to
- 0:17create God in his image. Judaism, conversely, is God's
- 0:21successful endeavor in creating. Man in his image something
- 0:24weird. I've never said this publicly, I
- 0:27don't think, and I've said a lot publicly.
- 0:30I wish I was there 2000 years ago and I wish I could have been
- 0:36there for him. No one would say I have no
- 0:39opinion of the Jews. Everyone has a very strong and
- 0:41that's what we're watching now is a complete polarization.
- 0:44The middle is full now. Is there anything in the New
- 0:47Testament that you feel that they got right?
- 0:54Hello everyone. Today we're joined by our
- 0:56Bactivia Singer. This is a very interesting
- 0:58episode. Rabbi Singer and I discussed all
- 1:00things New Testament. He is on the front lines when it
- 1:05comes to defending Jews from the church and bringing Jews out of
- 1:08the church. So for us, the Jewish people, he
- 1:10is incredibly important for the front lines and keeping us safe.
- 1:15He shared with me a lot of wisdom that he's gained
- 1:17throughout the ages and the connections that he had with big
- 1:19rabbis and some tools that he uses in order to defend against
- 1:24missionary tactics. We hope you enjoy.
- 1:26I certainly did. It was very informative.
- 1:28Hi, my name is Donnie and I'm the producer of In the Valley of
- 1:31Giants. I just wanted to come on and say
- 1:33that there were some technical difficulties while filming the
- 1:36episode with her singer this week.
- 1:38We did our best to amend the issues.
- 1:40They go away around the 28 minute mark.
- 1:43Yeah. We hope you can enjoy Private
- 1:47Singer. Thank you so much for coming on
- 1:49the show today. So, Julie, you have me on.
- 1:51Yeah, it definitely is. I got lots to ask you, Lots I'm
- 1:54very curious about. So #1 why be a polemic warrior?
- 1:58Like, why? Why was that your thank?
- 2:01Well, it was very simple. Jews are in the church, come
- 2:06nothing back. There's a prophecy you fulfill
- 2:09that is God is going to bring back the net case for Isaiah 43
- 2:14or Isaiah 56. So therefore, how can I allow
- 2:18Jews to be in the church? Moreover, there are millions of
- 2:21Jews who are being targeted for conversion right now.
- 2:25That has to stop. You know, I'll share this one
- 2:28thing with you. I'll share this one thing with
- 2:30you. So I was born 15 years after the
- 2:33Holocaust and I asked people were much older than me, what
- 2:40was it like to be in the United States during World War 2?
- 2:44I asked my grandfather like that, and they told me that they
- 2:48knew something terrible going on, but no one understood the
- 2:51scope and magnitude of that. All of European jewelry was
- 2:55being destroyed, as it turns out, to Greg Rabonen during the
- 3:01war, that one to Roosevelt. Over 100 Albonen went to
- 3:05Roosevelt, to the White House, asking for an audience with the
- 3:09president to intercede and they were not allowed in.
- 3:15We know what happened. So now we're in the same
- 3:18predicament, but it's a spiritual Holocaust.
- 3:22And now the question is for me and for you and for all people
- 3:25who care about, oh, Israel, what are you going to do now?
- 3:28Are you going to allow the destruction of Christ for by the
- 3:31church? The answer is no, I won't vote.
- 3:35I want my people home and devote my life to this.
- 3:39Was there a particular instance in your life that caused you to
- 3:41come to that realization? Yeah, Moshe Boshe came was the
- 3:46name of the kosher restaurant that my family went to on
- 3:49Saturday night. And coming out in Midtown
- 3:54Manhattan, there were people hanging up posters on 5th Ave.
- 4:01And I've read, I was curious, you've read Come this Tuesday
- 4:06Night to Jews for Jesus and learn more about your Jewish
- 4:10Messiah. I was shocked.
- 4:13I was That would be like someone having a sign up Jews fan
- 4:17Hezbollah. I just.
- 4:18How old were you at the time? 1617, I was a youngster.
- 4:22I'm sure you've encountered these missionaries somewhere.
- 4:27It's it. And I was just so aggravated
- 4:30when I was. So I just, it was just, and I
- 4:33began to argue with them. And when I did, I realized I was
- 4:37really unprepared for the situation.
- 4:40And an elderly Jew who was watching the spectacle on my 2
- 4:44Shamas in midtown Manhattan told me that in fact, I had no
- 4:48business engaging with them because I didn't know enough.
- 4:51I don't know enough. I learned in the mirror, we as
- 4:56these kids on one zero, they were Jewish.
- 4:59I don't know enough to argue with them.
- 5:01I go to Mishima or everything I love.
- 5:03And I was very upset. So the I walked away.
- 5:06I was. The following summer I visited
- 5:10not summer in the fall I visited Erstrell for the first time my
- 5:13life. My uncle lived in the Jewish
- 5:14court of the Old City, and he happened to have had a Christian
- 5:18Bible that got from a guest at his home, a minister from
- 5:21Sweden. And he was very, we'll go when I
- 5:24have it, like I had the manual from the other team.
- 5:27He said, look at what we have here.
- 5:29It was a King James Bible. And I said I want to read it.
- 5:32And I took it from him and I was diving at the castle.
- 5:36It's so funny, you know, when you're when you're in the Old
- 5:38City. It was the first time.
- 5:39It was very powerful people as where do you dive in the Old
- 5:42City? Like what are you going to go to
- 5:43young Israel? I was darling.
- 5:45I was darling. I was at the coastal and a
- 5:47fellow came over to me in the middle of the davening.
- 5:49It was the most. And taps me on the shoulder.
- 5:53That's me. Do you know who your shoulder
- 5:56is? So I said to him, yeah, he was
- 6:01in my class. I went to a shoot with him.
- 6:03I see how you showed you thought I had no clues the mice.
- 6:07I realized what was going on. I began to study with him.
- 6:12I came back to New York. He did true.
- 6:13I'll just share this with. And the other thing you had
- 6:16equipped at the time as you going through the New Testament
- 6:19once. No, it was a lot.
- 6:20It was very fast. That means he was asking me
- 6:22questions and I had very often look up the answers, you know,
- 6:26very. I had to go through nothing.
- 6:28That was another thing. And all yeshiva, we really
- 6:32weren't learning nothing. So we weren't learning nothing.
- 6:34We were learning maybe the Naveen Mesharian, but it was
- 6:38very, it wasn't strong at all. So therefore I really had to
- 6:41research everything. And it was an early period it
- 6:44was, it was known to rely on. There were no books out, there
- 6:48was nothing out there. So I had to research it very
- 6:52carefully. And he did.
- 6:55True it was. It was easier then because I
- 6:58wasn't well known. So today when I meet
- 7:01missionaries that have the garlic on the very, very well,
- 7:05they run away. But then no one knew who I was.
- 7:09I wasn't on YouTube. There was no such thing.
- 7:11So it was easy in the early days to get help Jesus out of the
- 7:16church very, very quickly because they weren't intimidated
- 7:22by me. Now it's it's.
- 7:24It's tricky. Now go straight to.
- 7:27Did you get instruction? Did you get like any hajrafa?
- 7:29No, there was nothing. There was nothing.
- 7:32Weren't you concerned that you might fall on some sort of
- 7:34track? The more let me.
- 7:39Open that up a little bit. So for the purposes of also
- 7:42being myself prepared, so I've gone through the New Testament.
- 7:44Yeah. I didn't really feel any concern
- 7:48of being trapped or persuaded at all, but I can understand why
- 7:53someone would be afraid of engaging with a primary text
- 7:57from a different religion. So were you worried about that
- 8:01at the time at all? Can you open that up a little?
- 8:05Bit no, not at all. This is the opposite.
- 8:07I First of all, I grew up. My father was a Rasul Shiva.
- 8:11He lived in Lakewood under the talent of my show.
- 8:15So I I had a a basic idea as a shield boy would that there
- 8:22wasn't religion, Christianity and the work Catholics in
- 8:25Borough Park, Brooklyn. You heard of it.
- 8:28Certainly they were they were they were attacked.
- 8:30I knew some. I don't know how I knew, but I
- 8:33knew that they were basing their religion on ours somehow.
- 8:38That means that's what they held.
- 8:41And it was a big statue of Mary in right in the front of the
- 8:44whole the church Holy Ghost on 17th Ave.
- 8:48I think 44th St. there's a big gechka up castle of Mary.
- 8:53So I believe this is insane. Then they read the 10
- 8:56commandments so and then the more so I always thought
- 9:01Christian was odd. One other point that must be
- 9:04said. I knew that means if you are
- 9:06growing up in the 70s, so you knew so you're surrounded by
- 9:12survivors. That was a big part of my world.
- 9:15I knew that all the countries where Jews were murdered were
- 9:20Christian countries because Jews weren't killed by Hindus or by
- 9:24Buddhists. They were all killed white
- 9:26Christians in Christian countries.
- 9:28And if you and I, and I'm sure you thought about this, it's
- 9:31saying you and I were born in 1920, so where would we go to if
- 9:36we could choose where we would be?
- 9:38We would say just send us anywhere but a Christian
- 9:41country. So it wasn't like I started off
- 9:43by having any concern that this religion, like, you know, that
- 9:48this religion is going to be let's, like, join the Ku Klux
- 9:51Klan. But when I began to read the
- 9:55Christian Bible, it was much worse than I thought.
- 9:59There's I didn't. I thought they misunderstood.
- 10:02They were all of them. I did not realize the extent of
- 10:07the malevolent chicanery where the Christian Bible was totally
- 10:13misquoting Tanakh and the level of anti-Semitism that was in the
- 10:18New Testament. I did.
- 10:20I wasn't prepared for that. So other of when I was studying
- 10:24Christian tags, it was it was like, oh, this is much worse
- 10:29than I thought. So there was never a go.
- 10:32This is interesting. No, it was the opposite.
- 10:35This is very repelling. And moreover, the gospels, the
- 10:4189 chapters, 4 books are very well written.
- 10:45It's not like the Quran was hard to say when you're reading, it's
- 10:49very transparent what's going on.
- 10:51It's like, it's like watching candor zones.
- 10:53I mean, you immediately understand that the Jews are the
- 10:57bad guys and you know who's the good guy.
- 11:00So it's very clear what's happening.
- 11:02The code, the misquoting of Tana is just without stop.
- 11:08So it was very easy to see through it.
- 11:10So therefore I never had AI, never was concerned about that.
- 11:13Wherever there were great people, I mean, I met some great
- 11:17Barney who were very proud of me that I was doing it.
- 11:21Bobby Travis said this is what you're tough kid was, you know,
- 11:25my father choose to to my Martian.
- 11:27I, you know, told what I was doing.
- 11:29But whatever it was, it was it was.
- 11:31It just strengthened my duty as a It never was.
- 11:36Do nothing tempting about it. Yeah, I had the same experience
- 11:40or a similar one. I'll put it to you that way.
- 11:43This fight that you're talking about that was very prevalent in
- 11:46the 70s, eighties and the 90s, but the Juice for Jesus movement
- 11:50doesn't seem like it has the same gusto that once happened.
- 11:54Perhaps that's largely due to you, Ravi Sundar, but is this a
- 11:57fight that really needs to be? We need to be on the forefront
- 12:00of is it, Is it really that bloody right now?
- 12:02I believe that you said that because that means you're,
- 12:05you're living in a new reality. You're living in Daleranosho
- 12:11Halafa means you're living among the Natera.
- 12:16You're, we don't know each other, but obviously you're
- 12:22living in a holy place around. But I see just coming here, you
- 12:27don't know what's going on out there.
- 12:29It's a, it's a here in Israel missionaries, it's stage 4.
- 12:37And for those who don't know, there's no stage 5.
- 12:40They're destroying segments of it's so serious today, which was
- 12:47not the case in the 70s when Jews started or the 80s, that
- 12:52almost every Jew today knows of someone whose kid or relative
- 13:00got involved in this group. That's what we ought to say.
- 13:03This if I would have. Told you that in 1980s, you said
- 13:07what? Today we're living in a time,
- 13:09I'm not going to ask you, but we are living in a time now that
- 13:13the situation is so bad in Israel and around the world in
- 13:17Jewish communities that there's you almost will not encounter a
- 13:21Jew that doesn't know someone personally.
- 13:24There's was one of the sons or daughters, but nieces and
- 13:28nephews to these groups. So the situation is
- 13:31exponentially worse. Of course, it's a symptom of
- 13:34Jews for nothing, which means which is the grand the the
- 13:40biggest problem. So therefore, because
- 13:42assimilation is reaching, you know, great, you know, very
- 13:46serious problem all over the world.
- 13:48So of course, Truth to Jesus Wiki, that's just one of one of
- 13:52the 1000 organizations are wreaking havoc in the Jewish
- 13:56world. Wow, OK, so it's worse than it's
- 13:59ever been. Oh my, yeah, that's huge.
- 14:02OK, so I'm completely. Off.
- 14:03Oh, so you know what? Malik, let me pay.
- 14:05For this a little bit. So you said that you finally
- 14:07let's let's get into it a little bit.
- 14:09The New Testament being full of anti-Semitism.
- 14:12Oh yeah. OK, so they're early books like
- 14:13for example, Mark and Luke and Matthews.
- 14:17They don't seem like very other than being called the brood of
- 14:19snakes. It doesn't really seem to be
- 14:21such an anti-Semitic text. If anything, you know, Jesus
- 14:24seems to be somewhat protective of of the Hebrews and the Jewish
- 14:28people. You don't find that to be so.
- 14:30Where? Well I would say the opposite.
- 14:33I would say where do you find him being anti-Semitic within
- 14:35those books? Let's just use those three as an
- 14:36example. Oh, in the way if you want to
- 14:39make a bigger it's very easy. You film the group to what you
- 14:43do is you tell stories about them.
- 14:46So it is true that the Christian Bible has statements to Jews
- 14:50kill Jesus that the oldest surviving book Christian book in
- 14:57all of Christian literature was written in 49 school.
- 15:00First Thessalonians was written by Paul and chapter 2 verse 14
- 15:06through 16 the author openly says that the Jews killed Jesus
- 15:11Christ and their own prophets are contrary to all mankind and
- 15:16we oppose humanity and therefore the wrath of God is upon us.
- 15:21That's the earliest book in the Christian Bible.
- 15:24I mean we can go to the last gospel, John chapter 8 verse 44
- 15:29where the Jews are told that your father is the devil.
- 15:33So now, so they have that kind of literature with I mean in
- 15:38Revelation 2 you went to yeshiva, you know those
- 15:42chapters, Chapter 2, chapter 3, it says that you, you are not
- 15:48even a real Jew, but you rather you the synagogue of Satan.
- 15:52This is mind blowing stuff. But this really is not what
- 15:56creates the anti-Semitism. The anti-Semitism isn't the
- 15:59storytelling. The the gospels are very well
- 16:04written in the there's a in the, a protagonist, you know that is,
- 16:12there's the antagonist, the villains, and the Jews in every
- 16:15story. Not in 90% of the stories.
- 16:18In every single story, Jesus just trying to do nice things to
- 16:23people like heal people and the Jews are trying to prevent him
- 16:27from healing a blind person. John Chapter 9.
- 16:31In every story it's the Jews Herod the Great is trying to
- 16:36kill. Right from the day you open up
- 16:38the Christian Bible. Herod the Great This is a story
- 16:42a little boy born in Bethlehem. It's based on a spurious passage
- 16:47with a RIP upon mica 52. I'm not going to go into
- 16:50analysis, but the key is the whole the first story we're
- 16:54introduced to is is a little the Messiah is born in Bethlehem and
- 16:59the king of the Jews is trying to find him in Kellen and kills
- 17:03every single boy in Bethlehem under the age of two years old.
- 17:08And meanwhile goyim non Jews are coming from the east and they
- 17:13they bring in presents. It's unbelievable, but why can't
- 17:16I make the argument that again, from from the reader's
- 17:19perspective in the earlier books, that Jesus is really just
- 17:23trying to help the Hebrews and we're just not getting the
- 17:26picture? It doesn't seem that that we're
- 17:29evil and deserving of death. It sounds like from those books
- 17:31that Jesus is trying to, not that I agree with what he's
- 17:34doing, but Jesus is trying to come here and to to help the
- 17:37Jewish people. You don't think that's what it
- 17:38appears like in Matthews or Mark?
- 17:41No. You don't get that impression,
- 17:43no. In every story, I'm we're just
- 17:46saying this is good, good. So in every.
- 17:49I mean, that's impression that I got reading them multiple times.
- 17:52Yeah, yeah. In every story, Jesus is, is is
- 17:57healing people. The paralytic early on in the
- 18:02book of Mark, he chose Mark. I'll go with Mark.
- 18:05So he's healing a paralytic and he don't ask.
- 18:11So he he says, get up from your structure, you could walk.
- 18:16And he says your sins are forgiven.
- 18:18Let's go. Well, what do you think that the
- 18:22normal people though? Wow, that was amazing.
- 18:25The guy's paralyzed now could pick up a stretcher and go.
- 18:29And he tells him your sins are done with.
- 18:32What do the Jews do? It says, what do the Jews do?
- 18:35The Jews says, oh, this guy's angry gladly.
- 18:38How is he able to figure sin. This is a humble so the Jews are
- 18:42not only opposing visas the pedantic, the picayune.
- 18:49They're so into these detail they can't see the big picture
- 18:52of the son of God is all he's doing is just trying to do nice
- 18:55things to people and every single story is like that.
- 18:58Every story is the Jews are the enemy.
- 19:02It's like what Candice Owens, we kill JFK, we kill Charlie Kirk
- 19:08and the Jews are plotting to own the control.
- 19:10It's the protocols of the elders design.
- 19:13Every story is that way. It's it's.
- 19:15High. And by the way, by the way, what
- 19:19I'm saying, it's not like I have a grievance with Christianity
- 19:23and I have an unfavorable view of the church.
- 19:26All of the church fathers, everyone of them agreed with me.
- 19:31All the reformers, loser to Calvin, they all read it this
- 19:34way. That means what I'm saying.
- 19:36If you read all the commentaries of the church, all of them, they
- 19:40all read it. All of them, all the patristic
- 19:43fathers really that look at the Jews and how they this is not
- 19:48like I'm sort of reading a text in a way that's unfavorable
- 19:52because I don't I don't know all of them did now in our time,
- 19:57because anti-Semitism is his say is socially unacceptable.
- 20:04But I realize that that that's no longer the case anymore.
- 20:08I mean, we're living in a bizarre time.
- 20:12So in our time you will meet many nice Christians you really
- 20:16will like if you meet a nice Catholic priest or a Bishop or
- 20:20whatever. These things he will never say.
- 20:23Rather, he'll say he will, On the contrary, will go out of
- 20:26there with the Liberal mainline. Wait a second.
- 20:29I need to take it a step back. Sure, I'm going to say something
- 20:32pretty crazy. Go for it.
- 20:34I'm proud of of the Jews, at least the way in the depicted in
- 20:39the earlier books. And I'll tell you why.
- 20:41I'll tell you why, because I would have loved to have been
- 20:43one of those Jews criticizing Jesus to me, to me looking out,
- 20:48you know, from the inside. He's seen man.
- 20:49It's important to have done all these miracles.
- 20:51I personally don't believe that he's done, but even if I were to
- 20:54bloom that he's done it, I would call him a radical because why
- 20:58would I? Because he's saying your sins
- 20:59are forgiven. You know, he has the power of
- 21:01healing. The entire relationship between
- 21:04us does not is supposed to be something that's far deeper than
- 21:06someone than us touching the edge of someone's cloak and all
- 21:09of a sudden all of our sins are forgiven and we're healed.
- 21:11You know, I feel that religion is a very deep relationship with
- 21:14God and forgiveness is not something that can be given to
- 21:17you or bought. It's something that you have to
- 21:18work out with your creator. So I would have been a big
- 21:21critic of Jesus. I think if I was around at that
- 21:23time, and I'm proud of the Jews that were, I would, if I were to
- 21:26see someone today that were going around saying you're
- 21:28forgiven, you're forgiven, I'm going to heal you.
- 21:31I'll call that person like the master of dark magic or mate.
- 21:34I mean, you wouldn't do that. No, when?
- 21:36When I learnt about the great rabbis of our time.
- 21:41When the modern period castillic rebbies were able to heal
- 21:45people. When I went to La Baba Cherubba
- 21:49and asked for a couple that couldn't have children for
- 21:52years. And and then, Baba Cherubbi,
- 21:53just take your sons. I forgive.
- 21:54Her. No, that's a different thing.
- 21:56So your sins are forgiven. Was it that means the the
- 21:59coupling? Of the 2 is really disturbs.
- 22:03Me Anakanabe Anakani. It's true.
- 22:05No, it's true. It's dark.
- 22:07So there is enough. You're right.
- 22:10I I would say this that imagine, imagine if you're Rabbi says you
- 22:17know, Hashem doesn't hold one of your welcome account of what he
- 22:21did because of what he went through in his life.
- 22:24So scholars usually learn that you're you're raising a valuable
- 22:27question. Scholars usually view that so as
- 22:31Jesus say I forgive yourself, he's saying floppy sham.
- 22:37Your sins are forgiven, you know.
- 22:38Even that's crazy. That person had no children.
- 22:41What? What's religion?
- 22:42What's relationship with God? If I can just throw that away at
- 22:44any time my sins are forgiven or shove me into mix up John the
- 22:47Baptist just shoving people to look okay now you're holy.
- 22:50What is that? What is this idea?
- 22:52Well, John Baptist, and far as the question Bible is concerned,
- 22:56is saying that people should get baptized as a symbol of the
- 23:00repentance it was. A I hope I if I was going to be
- 23:05down on the cuffs, I would hope that it would mean that I would
- 23:08hope it would mean this is just symbolically beginning your
- 23:10chief of Casas. That's not the impression when
- 23:13I'm reading. It's like, you know, you Duncan.
- 23:15Now you're, you know, you're somewhat holding.
- 23:17So John is not presented that way.
- 23:19He is presented someone saying we're cut now the human evidence
- 23:23coming. John the Bible is a real
- 23:25historical person and he really, he's brought down Josephus and
- 23:30that's legitimate stuff. Josephus with Jesus in it is
- 23:34faith. It's a later corruption.
- 23:36So John the Baptist was we, we have very little literature, but
- 23:41from what we know, he was going around saying the Kingdom of
- 23:45heaven is coming, the empire is going to fall to Chuvo.
- 23:50And as a symbol of your Chuvo, you should be should come from
- 23:53the club. If it's that, that's not so
- 23:55crazy. Chuvo's good, I'm pro chuvo.
- 23:58That's how he was presented. In fact, he's presented right in
- 24:01the beginning of the Testament. John the Bethel is preaching
- 24:04repentance and the baptism for the remission of sins.
- 24:09So he's not presented that business, probably.
- 24:13I mean, there's no reason not to believe that during this very
- 24:16difficult time. I would say to you that if Jesus
- 24:21is saying that your sins are forgiven, that Hashem forgives
- 24:25your sins. It's certainly the key point is
- 24:29from the Christian Bible's viewpoint, it looks like here's
- 24:32a man who's the son of God. That's how it's presented, who's
- 24:37just saying your sins are forgiven, go home.
- 24:41So and the Jews are going how do you come to forgive sins in
- 24:46technically he doesn't say directly I forgive you Sir.
- 24:49He says your sins are forgiven in the way the crime and
- 24:53Leviticus would say that your sins are forgiven in the
- 24:56passive, not in the directive. He didn't say I forgive you,
- 25:00Sir, but he says your sins are forgiven.
- 25:02But that's how a new test and a scholar but.
- 25:04Even by Kohanim there's there's somewhat of a chuva process.
- 25:07Oh yeah, no, that they bought, let's say a carbon and.
- 25:10And this couldn't, like, it makes sense to me why this
- 25:13infected the church and why hundreds of years later when the
- 25:16church was monetarily having issues all of a sudden that you
- 25:19could, you know, buy your Chuva process.
- 25:21So I can I see this as like a misora of Jesus where repentance
- 25:24is something that we can really give out and you don't really
- 25:27have to improve yourself. It's OK.
- 25:29So Christians would say that a person does have to improve
- 25:32themselves. That means you're right, you're
- 25:35correct. I mean, a Christian would say
- 25:37there's no action of yours that could save yourself in their
- 25:41language, you can't work your way into heaven and you can't
- 25:45merit your own salvation. But a Christian would say,
- 25:49whether Catholic, Protestant, that if you become a Christian,
- 25:52you, your works would demonstrate the way you live
- 25:56your life, would demonstrate that you're now a Christian and
- 25:59you're now a better person. Not that those they call it
- 26:03works because they don't like the word mitzvos.
- 26:05They like words that are ugly with describing it says so they
- 26:09they wouldn't say that you can go around robbing banks and
- 26:12doing whatever you want. They would say that, you know,
- 26:14and this actually comes up in the book of James that faithful
- 26:18that works is dead and Christians wouldn't view it that
- 26:21way. But the key point is imagine
- 26:24this, you might react one way, but in the Christian Bible, the
- 26:29game are just going, oh, that's terrific.
- 26:31You're going around healing people.
- 26:34You're doing all these nice things.
- 26:35He's like Superman. He really is like a Superman
- 26:39person is a little deeper than that.
- 26:41So Superman is an interesting character in the he was really a
- 26:46reporter for a big newspaper, right?
- 26:48And no one knew that he and if Clark Kent right.
- 26:53But when son was in trouble, he would go and rescue them and
- 26:56then he would then assume back as well as someone who didn't
- 26:59wasn't recognized. So that's how he's presented in
- 27:02the gospel, particularly in the book of Mark 1st 8 chapters.
- 27:05No one knows who that who this guy is, but he's just running
- 27:08around with savior everybody. So I can assure you one thing,
- 27:11when you read the text, the Jews do not come off well.
- 27:16The Christians were not crazy. They looked at these sets and
- 27:20said the Jews would be. I hear you, but to me they to me
- 27:25I think they do like I hear and I understand what.
- 27:27You think they do? I think the Jews do.
- 27:30I'm proud of those. Jews.
- 27:32Of criticizing Jesus, I really am.
- 27:34I would do the same thing. I would say what do you mean
- 27:36that your your ignitions are forgiven and you don't have to
- 27:38improve yourself? He doesn't say you don't have to
- 27:40prove yourself. He doesn't say that you do.
- 27:42That's the whole reason. He he does.
- 27:45He does, for instance, with the woman, the woman who committed
- 27:49adultery. So there's a weird story in John
- 27:52Chester 8 where the woman is caught in adultery.
- 27:56The Jews are going to stop now. This is really a fake story.
- 27:59It doesn't even appear in the earlier but whatever is it's
- 28:03called the percopy adultery. It's 12 verses.
- 28:05But the key is he says who he thought they were going to start
- 28:10up for adultery and he said who among you is without sin?
- 28:13You should cast the first stone and all them walked away sadly
- 28:17because none of them were without sin.
- 28:19He then tells the woman, oh God, you can go now because there's
- 28:24no one here to condemn you and sin no more.
- 28:27That does come up in the text. The key is that it's the Jews
- 28:31are trying to tell him this guy is terrific.
- 28:36It really is not it it it he doesn't.
- 28:40The Jews do not do what it's going Gentiles non Christians
- 28:44are not genetically sick in the hill.
- 28:47They've rather been exposed to this very toxic literature and
- 28:52as such the Jews are characterized in a way that in
- 28:56in the Ukraine and. Washing all Christian.
- 28:58Countries. People looked at the Jews as the
- 29:01enemies of society, I hear. What you're saying if you were
- 29:05living? In I, I went, I went to see the
- 29:07women's Terebi and he was a he was a Sadiq and he was a miracle
- 29:15worker. And I was taken away by him and
- 29:18he and when I read our literature where great people
- 29:23said, well, I don't want to, you know, go through all the
- 29:26details. I'm just saying it's very clear.
- 29:28One thing is very clear and that is that the way it's written,
- 29:33the book of Mark is small is 679 verses, 16 chapters.
- 29:38You can read it in 90 minutes it it would slap you in the face it
- 29:43it because every single story everybody thinks Jesus is the
- 29:47best thing happened since sliced bread and he's the son of God
- 29:51and the Jews just somehow find some issue to start up with him
- 29:57and. And Jesus using some pithy
- 29:59aphorism to get out of it. And the and the rabbis are the
- 30:04Pharisees and scribes are all like don't even know what.
- 30:08To say so I could just say one thing and that is the way it is
- 30:12written. A person would certainly say
- 30:16that this guy is really a good guy and all these Pharisees are
- 30:21just the worst people. In the world.
- 30:23If you were present in all the stories that are in the New, in
- 30:26the New Testament, if you were present, observing it, what
- 30:29would your response to Jesus have been?
- 30:31Would you have? How would you criticize him?
- 30:34What would what would you walk away with, assuming the story?
- 30:37You're talking about. I want to know what Rabbi Singer
- 30:41would have I. Think.
- 30:42About Jesus a lot. And that's not all of this is
- 30:47myth. You're asking me if I met Bugs
- 30:48Bunny. You're not asking if I met Bugs,
- 30:51because that's. What this all is?
- 30:52This is all Bugs Bunny. So let's say it's Bugs Bunny.
- 30:55If you if you were, if you went back in time 2000 years ago and
- 30:59Jesus did the miracles that are that are spoken about that he
- 31:02purportedly did, what would your impression be of that man?
- 31:06Oh, but he was also claiming to be the Son of God, and he was
- 31:10claiming to be. You don't have to believe that
- 31:11again. I want you to be a family on the
- 31:13wall. Then what would have?
- 31:15What would your response be? Looking at all that, assuming
- 31:17the myths were true for a moment, I wouldn't be convinced,
- 31:21but I'm curious what your reaction would be.
- 31:24I would just be very offended the way he treated Shabbos the
- 31:28way he would treated cautious. Think of Mark Chapter 7 verse
- 31:332021 where he says what enters your mouth doesn't defile you,
- 31:38but what leaves your mouth defiles you and then openly
- 31:42says, therefore making unclean foods clean.
- 31:45I would say this person needs a lot of help.
- 31:49I often I'll just tell you something weird.
- 31:51I've never said this publicly, I don't think and I've said a lot
- 31:54publicly. I wish I was there 2000 years
- 32:00ago and I wish I could have been there for him and I wish I could
- 32:05have helped him out and I regret I couldn't.
- 32:08So this is something that I do think about that I wish I could
- 32:13have taken this lost soul and I could have helped him and and he
- 32:18would have done Shuva and not walk around diminishing Khazal,
- 32:24the sages of blessed memory, diminishing the Shabbos which he
- 32:28did frequently diminishing of our for instance, wash your
- 32:35hands before eating bread. I was said to him, look, this is
- 32:38very important. Submit Sudhir Abhana to wash
- 32:40your hands. If we eat bread, I would say,
- 32:42come, let's learn together. I I have thought about that.
- 32:45I wish I could have gone back in history and said to him, let's
- 32:50learn together. Let's talk together.
- 32:51That's how I'm wired. I'm wiretap him out.
- 32:54So what happened to him? There's a problem.
- 32:57He never wrote a book because he never wrote.
- 33:00We have no surviving literature that he wrote.
- 33:02So there was a big, big question of what?
- 33:06Who was the historical Jesus? That's and he can't answer with
- 33:10clarity. It's so one thing is.
- 33:13Clear from our literature, Jewish literature, Kazal he's a
- 33:18person with very poor character that means Kazal have.
- 33:23Almost nothing. Flattering to say about him,
- 33:26except when Unglas spoke to him in the Talmud.
- 33:29If that's the Jesus of Christianity, which is
- 33:32debatable, he did say that he should convert to Judaism, which
- 33:37the Gamar points out. Ah, you see, the Jews says
- 33:40convert. Bilim says don't, but he says.
- 33:42Do so. So it's it is a very interesting
- 33:48thing. So as far as Khazal is
- 33:50concerned, he never. Claimed to be Meshiach and he
- 33:53never claimed to be a Novi. He never made any of those
- 33:56claims. And what's very intriguing is in
- 33:59the Christian Bible, he almost never claims to be Meshiach in
- 34:03the Christian Bible. In fact, in Matthew chapter 16,
- 34:07when he's about to be executed by the by the Empire, he.
- 34:11Asks his disciples, who do you think I am?
- 34:14Who do you say I am? And nobody knows has an idea.
- 34:17And then and then Peter says you are the crisis of the living God
- 34:21means you're Messiah. And Jesus says to him, no one
- 34:25could have revealed this to you, which is in which backs up
- 34:28Hazel, which is intriguing. So we have to do, we have to try
- 34:32to piece this together. Jewish literature has an
- 34:35unflattering view of him. Now, one caveat for the viewers
- 34:41is that there's a big debate over whether the literature we
- 34:46have which might be about him is really about him.
- 34:50And in the disputation in in Paris in 1242, the chief
- 34:55argument that this is of why the Talmud should not be burned in
- 35:00Paris was it's not the same person.
- 35:03There are other people who think it is the same person.
- 35:05I have view on this, but this is not germane.
- 35:08Let's just say, let's just say it is the same person.
- 35:14Hazal's view is that he's not a Nova Shaker.
- 35:17He's not a false prophet. And he never claimed to be
- 35:20Meshach and he was a false Messiah.
- 35:22Like shops. I see like Jacob Frank, like all
- 35:24these lunatics, therefore we have a hot, hostile witness.
- 35:29Jewish literature has very little to say about him.
- 35:32That's flattering. And however, they never accused
- 35:36him of any of those things. The worst thing is that he was
- 35:39Mazal Sabse Haman. He cheapened, denigrated.
- 35:43The words of sages, which would be consistent with the gospels.
- 35:46So therefore, he's not a guy running around saying I'm the
- 35:51Messiah, but he's a person who's seems to be gratuitously angry.
- 35:55He was, he was in the gospel. He's like very angry with
- 35:58people. He gets into conversations with
- 36:00people, which any normal person would have just been gentle
- 36:04about it, but he just goes at it very, very hard.
- 36:08So that seems to come through in the Gospels.
- 36:11This is a hard area because we have no contemporaneous
- 36:16writings. Even the Christian Bible was
- 36:19written after he's dead, he's writing nothing.
- 36:22So what we're trying to do is we're trying to reconstruct who
- 36:26was the historical Jesus. That is what all of New
- 36:30Testament scholarship is about, this quest for the historical
- 36:34Jesus. But if I can reassemble it, I
- 36:37think you had a person who's very angry and this mythology
- 36:41about him doing miracles is definitely a later accretion
- 36:46that was developed. One caveat, it should be said,
- 36:49is that in the ancient world, this is how they told stories
- 36:53about these gods with demigods. Vespasian were told by Josephus
- 36:59when blind people were put brought in front of him, he was
- 37:02able to touch their eyes and they would walk away and be able
- 37:05to see. Cripples would come to him, he
- 37:07would stretch their foot, his foot out to them and they would
- 37:11suddenly be able to walk. This was normative in the
- 37:14ancient world. This is how stories were told.
- 37:17So therefore it's very obvious that the Gospels are a product
- 37:21of this veldt on the shelf where all the holy people are just
- 37:24running around doing outrageous miracles.
- 37:28There were no cameras back then, you know, mythology was just
- 37:34non-stop. So that's how people thought it
- 37:36wasn't down to earth. So in short, the Jesus that's
- 37:40depicted and the New Testament, you'd want to help him the best
- 37:44that you could, and you see a wayward man and The Who Jesus
- 37:48really was, though we're not really sure because you don't
- 37:51really have anything from Jesus himself to sum up your answer.
- 37:53Would that be an accurate depiction?
- 37:54Oh yeah, we can't. No, because we have.
- 37:56No, we have. He didn't write anything, and no
- 38:00one who was alive wrote anything.
- 38:03No one means the gospel writers don't even say who they are
- 38:07they've written. Anonymously, the Matthew, Mark,
- 38:10Luke and Jean. Those ascriptions were inserted
- 38:13in the year about 1. 80 by the Archbishop of.
- 38:18Of Lyon, his name was Irenaeus. So this is like 150 years later
- 38:24and the Archbishop of modern day France says the first gospel was
- 38:29written by Matthew. The book of Matthew doesn't say
- 38:31I I saw anything. The book of Mark doesn't say I
- 38:35watched this. None of them even claim to be
- 38:38eyewitnesses. They're all writing in the third
- 38:40person. How do you understand looking at
- 38:43Matthews chapter 5, where there's a tremendous sensitivity
- 38:49of Jesus saying that there's something called halacha and we
- 38:53have to keep it religiously. And then two chapters later were
- 38:57plucking ears of grain on Shabbos and then and Luke were
- 39:02not really caring what we're eating.
- 39:04And yet we still have these pockets of of Jesus saying for
- 39:07people to bring the proper offerings, carbonos to the base
- 39:09of mikdash if they had Saras. How do you understand that?
- 39:13You're getting deep with me. That's good.
- 39:15So the first part is the sermon. Of the mount Matthew chapter 5
- 39:18and you're thinking about verse 17 that I didn't come to change
- 39:22the law, but to fulfill it and anyone who breaks even the
- 39:27smallest. Of the commandments is
- 39:29considered least in the Kingdom of Heaven and then it says
- 39:32interesting, unless your righteousness exceeds those of
- 39:36the rabbis, you can't mean the the Pharisees and scribes you
- 39:40can't go to heaven. It's amazing statement.
- 39:43So there are different theories about that little piece.
- 39:46So I just put up a few verses until that's till verse 20.
- 39:50So people view that generally as this is an older, more authentic
- 39:57text because something called verisimilitude.
- 40:01If Jesus Jesus it was a Pharisee, that's no question
- 40:05means he comes from a Pharisee background.
- 40:07So therefore there's a method that it's called very similar to
- 40:12fancy Latin word which means that would be consistent with a
- 40:17an Orthodox Jew living in the ancient world.
- 40:21So therefore scholars generally view that as.
- 40:26This represents an earlier, more primitive version of the
- 40:31Gospels, and it's what's called a queue source if.
- 40:36You don't want me to explain it. I won't.
- 40:38I'm. Curious.
- 40:38OK, do you want it? You have the time.
- 40:40It's good. There's a there's something, a
- 40:42very intriguing thing about the Gospels and but.
- 40:45Before, I want to make sure I understood what you said before
- 40:47correctly. So very similar to it is that
- 40:49we're able to have a higher level of.
- 40:51Of confidence. Right, because it matches up
- 40:54with that. Conceived notions, right, We
- 40:57have think we think he was an Orthodox Jew from the northern
- 41:00Galilee and therefore an Orthodox Jew would say, look,
- 41:04you have to keep the Torah. And therefore because it's
- 41:06consistent, the consensus would be it would be a vote to say if
- 41:11any verse in the Christian Bible really happened or something
- 41:15remotely resembling that we would happen.
- 41:18I'll explain what the Q source is, how pleasant.
- 41:21So it's very interesting. Forget about John.
- 41:25Matthew, Mark and Luke are called the Synoptic Gospels.
- 41:28But what's really happening is Matthew and Luke are almost
- 41:32copying almost all of Mark. Almost all of Mark appears both
- 41:36in Matthew and Luke. However, there's something very
- 41:38interesting. What's that?
- 41:40And that is there about 235 verses that appear word for word
- 41:46virtually identical in Matthew, Luke and do not appear in the
- 41:51book of Mark. So Matthew Luke of both, not
- 41:54just Simon, not just relying on Mark, they're copying Mark, but
- 41:59there are 235 passages less than 300 verses that Matthew Luke of
- 42:05Share and they're not in Mark muck Reclaimer.
- 42:10So what do we have to say This is standard scholarship is this
- 42:14is called they had another source which did not survive.
- 42:18It means an older gospel that were the sayings of Jesus and
- 42:22therefore it survives in Matthew and Luke in those verses, but
- 42:27Mark didn't have access to it and they would now there's a sad
- 42:31Hashava. All of the queue passages have
- 42:34something in common. This is called two source theory
- 42:38or hypothesis developed by German scholars about 200 years
- 42:42ago, and it's still. The standard not this is not,
- 42:46this is the humanity. So no, not everyone, but.
- 42:49This is standard. What happened was the sayings
- 42:52passages really are older than Mark.
- 42:55That didn't. The book itself didn't survive
- 42:58and it's called. Q Because of the German word
- 43:00which means cabella, which means the source.
- 43:04So therefore these cue passages are all saying, interestingly,
- 43:08he's not running around doing miracles, he's not doing all the
- 43:12mythical stuff of healing blind people, rather he's saying
- 43:16things that are teachings. So therefore the theory is, and
- 43:20this is a consensus, that these would reflect in earlier
- 43:26writing, that only survived through Matthew, Luke, the
- 43:29Sermon of the Mount. Is a part of that.
- 43:32You describe it there. So that's very interesting.
- 43:35So here we see something that in an Orthodox Jew would say, and
- 43:41we would be very comfortable with that.
- 43:45The problem here. Is what occurs after this, and
- 43:49that's what's called the antitheses.
- 43:52The antitheses begin in verse 21 of Matthew 5.
- 43:57Through 48. And there we have 6 antitheses.
- 44:02I'll give you one that's very famous.
- 44:04So the antitheses goes that you have heard.
- 44:07But I say unto you, meaning you have heard Moshe in brackets.
- 44:12Moses said this, but I have something more to say to you.
- 44:16Moses says that if you commit adultery, so then you you are
- 44:22liable. I say unto you, Even if you had
- 44:25a desire. In your heart.
- 44:27You've already committed adultery.
- 44:30Well, what are you talking about?
- 44:32So this is a very critical thing because in classical Jewish
- 44:37thought, if a person says, let's say a woman is at some
- 44:41convention in Las Vegas, her husband's far away and she knows
- 44:45this man. And she says to herself, you
- 44:47know, I couldn't sleep with this, but you know what I'm not
- 44:51going to do? Because I fear Hashem and walks
- 44:53away. So that person's a greater
- 44:54person, the person who? But he had her.
- 44:57She had her hurim. Or what she had her hurim.
- 45:00But. She was able to suppress it.
- 45:02There's no question that the person, let's say you meet
- 45:06someone, you're a roof. Yes, Right.
- 45:09Last I checked. If you meet a young man who says
- 45:15I'm struggling with same sex attraction which every roof has
- 45:20to deal with. And this person says to you,
- 45:26despite this, I'm going to fight this desire which you and I
- 45:30can't even relate to. It doesn't make sense to us.
- 45:33Like why would you, right? But obviously this person does
- 45:36and this person says, but I'm not going to follow through with
- 45:39my desire. Or rather I'm going to find a
- 45:42woman and have children with her.
- 45:43And I know many, many people like that.
- 45:45And I'm sure without asking, you do too.
- 45:47This person has a place in island Mahaba that I could never
- 45:50even hope that. And I always tell them we're
- 45:51very lucky. No, that might be so, but we
- 45:54can't cancel out the Haram as being forbidden.
- 45:57The thoughts that the the fantasies that they had are
- 46:00definitely forbidden, but. You can turn that into a
- 46:04mitzvah, which means a person. That doesn't mean that I'm going
- 46:06to start thinking about those things all day.
- 46:08I. Don't think it's humanly
- 46:10possible for a person not to have some desire.
- 46:14I think the person. Well, how do we know that Jesus
- 46:17isn't talking about you fantasizing, you know?
- 46:20Oh, 'cause he's dafka saying, you have heard.
- 46:23That's why they're called antithesis.
- 46:25He is saying that much Urbain, who said if you actually do the
- 46:29act in, in classical Jewish thinking, if you're tempted to
- 46:35do something, but then you say, but you know what?
- 46:39I can't do. It that's Kushmak, that's a
- 46:41that's that's a tremendous. Higher.
- 46:42Level no that That may be so, but why can't I make the claim?
- 46:46Oh, because he's saying it's against Moses.
- 46:47What he's saying is I'm an Uber Moses.
- 46:50No, but maybe. But Moshe Rabainen would have
- 46:52agreed that if a person would have had her Hiram on purpose,
- 46:54that it'd be awesome. What is on purpose?
- 46:56These are real. This is a real Yates or means a
- 46:58person. Like, I'm not fantasizing about
- 47:01anyone in particular right now, OK?
- 47:03Because you're sitting with Rabbi Singer.
- 47:06That's why. But are you sitting with someone
- 47:09decent looking? No, it's very simple that if a
- 47:12person is in this place where a person could go, let's say
- 47:17you're on a vacation and navigation, you're on business
- 47:20in Las Vegas for a big convention, right?
- 47:22And it's very easy to if a person walks, you walk across
- 47:25the street and God only knows what goes on.
- 47:26The person says, I'm not going to go there because people are
- 47:29not dressed properly. That person has a much greater
- 47:33that the person who's living in Benet.
- 47:34Brad was like. That's not what I'm saying.
- 47:37If I go to Vegas, which I'm not going to go to Vegas, but if I
- 47:39would go to Vegas and see a tremendously attractive woman,
- 47:42OK, I would hope that I have enough, you know, wherewithal in
- 47:46my mind to not even kick into gear like automatically and
- 47:49think about her and then fight it.
- 47:50I hope I have enough in there that I could like, not even
- 47:53think about, you know, fantasize it all.
- 47:56If I were to fantasize naturally and fight and win, OK, then I do
- 48:00think that that's still pious for me to be like, well, I
- 48:04really shouldn't fantasize about this person, but wow, this
- 48:06person just looks amazing, so I'm going to fantasize anyway.
- 48:09I think we can all agree that that would be wrong.
- 48:11Can we agree? Can we agree to that?
- 48:12Would that be wrong? I don't know.
- 48:15So the word fantasize a little bit, a little bit murky.
- 48:18That means the person says I really.
- 48:20No, no, I know you mean that a person.
- 48:24Says I really would like to and I really can get away with it.
- 48:28But God, and she's very, she's objectively A knockout, but I'm
- 48:33not going to do it because the God of Israel is watching me and
- 48:36I know it's Usher. So that person will get a
- 48:40tremendous hair versus someone who'd never stepped out of my
- 48:44germ and never saw a woman that was dressed not so.
- 48:46Easy. I know.
- 48:47But I'm not talking about this case.
- 48:48I'm talking about how about I'll play the whole thing out.
- 48:50I see this woman. I was like, I know the God of
- 48:52the throat would really not want me.
- 48:54It would be forbidden for me to sleep with this person.
- 48:56But boy, am I going to think about it for the next 30
- 48:58minutes. That's awesome.
- 49:00Rabbi Singer. You think that's motor?
- 49:02No, no, a person, a person shouldn't the person for sure.
- 49:06Is it awesome? No, but the question is not ipso
- 49:09facto. It happened already.
- 49:10No, no more than happened. And it's happened.
- 49:12He's realized it, and he's keeping on going with the
- 49:14thought. Right, but the point is he, he
- 49:17is already committed adultery. None of us hold.
- 49:20I didn't say that he committed adultery.
- 49:22The key is, let me maybe phrase it differently.
- 49:26What is happening is he is saying that actually nobody can
- 49:30keep it because if the. Standard is that you never in
- 49:34your life ever have lust or never get angry at anybody or
- 49:39you've already committed murder. So if that's the standard, then
- 49:43in fact no one could live their lives obedient to God.
- 49:47It becomes impossible. Yeah, but it could be der Gozma,
- 49:50just the way that LFA Alphae Abdullah the Hazal say in the
- 49:53Gemara. Anita, I'll call manafin BA hive
- 49:58hive, miser hive. Lots more.
- 49:59Forget exactly the lotion, but you know that's that's Hazal
- 50:02saying that someone that engages in masturbation, right?
- 50:05It's oser and they're high, but not shall he deserves to die to
- 50:08a certain degree. OK, so why can't we make the
- 50:11claim that Jesus is saying that thinking about sleeping with
- 50:15someone else's wife on purpose, not not because it's automatic,
- 50:19but on purpose is this is it is has a sham that's of of adultery
- 50:24attached to it? Is that so insane?
- 50:25He. Doesn't say somebody's wife, he
- 50:27says someone who thinks about a woman with lust.
- 50:32He has already committed adultery though.
- 50:34OK, but but that's a gozma. Why can't I say that's a gozma?
- 50:36There's like even often be out as a.
- 50:38Gozma there's no Yeah, but the. According to the chiffonier.
- 50:40There's no, there's no action there.
- 50:44Look, the key is I think let's just see we can find a point of
- 50:48agreement, which I think we can. I think you and I would agree
- 50:52that a person says I have an opportunity, but I fear Hashem.
- 50:57She's objectively beautiful, but I won't do it because God
- 51:03commanded me not to. And that person resists the
- 51:05temptation. Super holy, super holy.
- 51:08That's all. So it's true.
- 51:10I said, wow, she's a knockout or a woman says, oh, he's so
- 51:14handsome. He's a, you know, handsome
- 51:17fellows, could be Brad Pitt, I don't know, whatever it is, and
- 51:20she doesn't go through with it and she could.
- 51:22So she has a tremendous, tremendous thing.
- 51:24We're not talking about any follow up activity.
- 51:27Now. There is interesting discussion
- 51:29in this, but it's very clear. I'm going to push back.
- 51:32I'm going. To push, you see, I just say
- 51:34this the way it's framed in the Christian Bible.
- 51:37See, we could tease this out in a in a methodical way.
- 51:42We could do that. Sure, we can.
- 51:45But the way it's phrased is that what I'm presenting to you is a
- 51:50higher way than what the Torah is saying, right?
- 51:53That's what I want. That's really what I wanted to
- 51:55convey. We could, We could, for
- 51:57instance, and Hazal discussed the 10th of the 10 commandments
- 52:02of how does that play into all this?
- 52:04Right? But it's very clear when reading
- 52:06the antithesis, what's saying is I've got something a much higher
- 52:11standard, which is impossible. No one could achieve never
- 52:15having less than their heart and therefore big laws there.
- 52:20I have something that is more than the Torah.
- 52:24That's what's coming across. So you may be technically
- 52:27correct. To what extent does a person
- 52:29have thoughts that are inappropriate?
- 52:33And if a person does that, says I'm not going to do because of
- 52:36God, we could, we could have this very intriguing
- 52:39conversation and we would not be the first rabbis to have that
- 52:42conversation. Our holy literature is filled
- 52:44with it. But the way it's framed in the
- 52:47Sermon of the Mount is that I've got something.
- 52:50Better than the Torah? Yeah, but that's so here.
- 52:52I'll, I'll, there's something almost comical about the the
- 52:56Sermon of the Mount for me. And it's it's not that I'll make
- 53:00the distinction. I think it could be possible
- 53:03that what Jesus is trying to say is having her harem is a type of
- 53:08of of an adulterous thing. And Lahava Alpha Dulles, we do
- 53:12find Khazal evidence for having her harem about women to be
- 53:15really not a good thing in an Avera that.
- 53:18So I think the framing bothers me a bit.
- 53:20Absolutely, absolutely. But I think it's possible that
- 53:22there he's saying something that I don't find so distasteful.
- 53:26And I think there might be a kernel of truth in that.
- 53:28I'll I'll show you something that I just find I can't make
- 53:31heads or tails of it. I find it almost comical is that
- 53:33by the Sermon over the mount, there's this sensitivity
- 53:36earlier, there's this sensitivity to the observance of
- 53:38halacha. And then two chapters later,
- 53:41we're not just breaking in this drab on them, which by the way,
- 53:44Jesus just put down later as well, but we're talking about
- 53:47breaking Shabbos just like completely full out and, and,
- 53:51and the the explanation is so is so strange, so that to me almost
- 53:57it just sounds ridiculous to me. I'd love to hear your your
- 53:59thoughts on that. But what makes it even worse is
- 54:02that he flips, he flips back like later, there's a
- 54:05sensitivity of bringing carbunos to the base of Mictush.
- 54:07I mean, it's it really like, I don't, I don't want to make
- 54:10heads or like as someone, as a reader that's trying to be
- 54:13objective for the sake of analyzing the text in order to
- 54:16refute it. I I, I laughed.
- 54:19We would have to shave off about 30% of your IQ in order for you
- 54:24to be able to look at these texts because you're looking at
- 54:27them correctly with the presumption that the gospels are
- 54:31univocal and they're not at all. That means there are different
- 54:35voices in every chapter and it's almost like a different drug
- 54:39that's being injected differently.
- 54:41There's some people can't fall asleep, so they think 1 drug
- 54:44doesn't fall asleep or not they. And then during the day, they're
- 54:47taking other kind of. Drugs to make them away.
- 54:49The Christian Bible is not univocal at all.
- 54:52And by the way, Christians, 99% of Christians are antinomian.
- 55:00I know that. It's a right, so it's a fancy
- 55:03word, but it's an important word.
- 55:04Meaning oppose keeping ritual commandments.
- 55:09You're going to ask me. Look at Matthew 517.
- 55:11So as it turns out, you can ask any question says how come
- 55:14you're not eating closure? How can we not keeping showers
- 55:18and all the Jews who convert to Christianity, none of them keep
- 55:20it but Matthew 517. So they actually learn this
- 55:23differently than your claim. They say that Jesus filled the
- 55:29law for us. And by the way, this is not the
- 55:33consensus Cooley Alma Lai Pleii in the Christian world, all of
- 55:38Christendom, with the exception of a very weird unique group,
- 55:42there are like kind of 7th day Adventist group.
- 55:46They're really outliers. So the hurraya, what I'm saying
- 55:50is the consensus is that what Jesus really saying is that you
- 55:55don't have to keep the mixes. How that means?
- 55:57How do Christians work this all up?
- 55:58And why aren't they keeping anything?
- 56:00Moreover, Paul openly the theology of the New Testament is
- 56:05not in the Gospels. The real theologies all found
- 56:07the letters of Paul and in Hebrews, which the church
- 56:10fathers thought was written by Paul.
- 56:12It's wasn't, but they thought it was.
- 56:13It's not important. The key is that all of
- 56:17Christendom says that ritual commandments.
- 56:20No, they all hold you not love to murderers steal all these
- 56:22things that but the ritual commandments.
- 56:26Jews don't have to keep Shabbos anymore.
- 56:28Sabbath won't save you just so just so you know, there's a very
- 56:32interesting theme that's happening in this very
- 56:34intriguing conversation. In all cases, all of Christian
- 56:40scholarship agrees with me that what a that the Christian Bible
- 56:46portrays the Jews very, very poorly, except for the very
- 56:51liberal. Christians trying to make nice.
- 56:53So there are people, the Hillary Clinton Christians.
- 56:56It's all So if you go to some Episcopalian priest, no, it's
- 56:59not. Anti-Semitic and but look,
- 57:02Candace Owens is not saying anything.
- 57:04Tucker Carlson, all of his stuff is all Christian.
- 57:07I know it's unbelievable, but it's all Christian that the Jews
- 57:10really are disproportionately represented and are controlling
- 57:14the world and controlling foreign leaders.
- 57:16This is all Christian. The Protocols are the able to
- 57:18design all of this. But I still want the explanation
- 57:22of the antinomian. OK, so here it is.
- 57:24So all of Christianity, all of every Catholic, Protestant
- 57:30whole, that you don't have to keep any of the ritual
- 57:33commandments anymore because, oh, because Jesus filled it for
- 57:36me. Where he do that?
- 57:37Where does it say? So they learn those words that I
- 57:41didn't come to break the I didn't come to break the law,
- 57:44but to fulfill the law, that Jesus is the fulfillment of the
- 57:47law and therefore you don't have to keep it.
- 57:49Now if nothing else was written in the Christian Bible means the
- 57:53whole Christian Bible instead of 27 books is really one book and
- 57:59all you have the sermon in the mouth.
- 58:00That means Matthew 5-6 and seven so they wouldn't be able to get
- 58:04it from there alone. The problem they have is that
- 58:07Paul openly says that Christ is the end of the law to everyone
- 58:11who believes. Romans chapter 10 that Paul
- 58:13openly says that no one should ever tell you about what food
- 58:17you eat, what you drink that you keep in Shabbos.
- 58:20You're keeping Sabbath and young to the holidays numerals.
- 58:24He says that in Colossians chapter 2 verse 1617, let no one
- 58:29tell you about all these commandments.
- 58:31And then in verse 17 he says and he says why?
- 58:35So some people try to answer it up.
- 58:37Let me try to make sense. Scholars try to make sense out
- 58:39of this, but they're all wrong. He says because the law is only
- 58:45a shadow and the essence is Christ.
- 58:48This is how the church views this, the whole and Paul says
- 58:51this openly in Galatians 324. Why them?
- 58:55It's just all together. Why are there commandments at
- 58:59all? That means if no one is supposed
- 59:01to keep the commandments, then why would they ever given to the
- 59:04first place? So this all of Christendom
- 59:07Catholic all them view of this because Paul says openly the
- 59:11laws was only given to you to show you that you can't keep it.
- 59:16He called it a schoolmaster in Galatians 324.
- 59:21And it's to show you that you're a Sinner, to show you that you
- 59:24can't keep it, that you can't save yourself by the law.
- 59:27And that would then drive you into a.
- 59:29Relationship with Christ that you would accept Him as your
- 59:32Lord and Savior. So this is a very important
- 59:35thing in the Christian Bible. So it is true.
- 59:38You're right. You're picking out now you're
- 59:40getting really revolted by this, aren't you?
- 59:42It's like sickening. So this is the rabbit.
- 59:45So therefore Christians are stuck with the whole Christian
- 59:47Bible. So in Hohonami, if you only had
- 59:52if the Christian Bible only consists of Matthew 5, you would
- 59:56have a benign chapter, granted. And it's AQ source granted.
- 1:00:00And it's the least problematic source of all, however.
- 1:00:06In light of the entire Christian Bible which says openly you
- 1:00:09don't have, it's very important. I'm going to bring out a point
- 1:00:12that your viewers will really breathe.
- 1:00:14Some people try to explain that they don't know what they're
- 1:00:16talking about. They say, well what Paul was
- 1:00:18saying is that the non Jews only have to keep the seven Noahide
- 1:00:22laws and the seven Noahide laws are all logical laws and not
- 1:00:26ritual laws. This is completely not true.
- 1:00:29Paul openly says to fellow Jews that they don't have to keep the
- 1:00:32commandments. Romans Chapter 7 and Paul openly
- 1:00:36only says that the commandments he's talking about, ritual
- 1:00:39commandments, is only a shadow. Why do they use this term a
- 1:00:42shadow? Because a shadow is the only
- 1:00:45thing you can see, which is nothing.
- 1:00:48A shadow is nothing. And that's what you're seeing.
- 1:00:51You're seeing the lack of light. It really is nothing.
- 1:00:53So when he says the law is a shadow.
- 1:00:56But even though Fishitoso doesn't work out because if it's
- 1:00:59all to prepare the coming of Jesus and we have to be in the
- 1:01:02proper place to to receive him, so wouldn't that surely be a
- 1:01:06elevated state in order to receive?
- 1:01:09Jesus is. Too Jewish the province in
- 1:01:10Christian theology you will never be at the at the place to
- 1:01:13receive and Christian theology man is infected with the
- 1:01:17original. You just yourself, but you just.
- 1:01:19Said Christian Bible is not consistent, no.
- 1:01:22But once. I'm not asking me to defend
- 1:01:23Deuteronomy, no. Of course, but but so OK, so I
- 1:01:27just want to get this straight. So.
- 1:01:28So we're supposed to be in a certain place in order to
- 1:01:31receive Jesus and therefore worship.
- 1:01:33No, no, you can't be in a certain place, but.
- 1:01:35You can't be but the best. Thing you have to believe that
- 1:01:37he died. No.
- 1:01:38The laws, the shadows. So, yeah, I know, but they have,
- 1:01:41they have this stuck with the whole Christian Bible.
- 1:01:43So therefore they have to be interpret Matthew chapter 5 that
- 1:01:47they can't do that unless they throw away.
- 1:01:49There were groups like that. By the way, they were Ebenites.
- 1:01:54I apologize. I you know, they were groups
- 1:01:56like Ebenites and Nazarenes that said the Pope was the biggest
- 1:01:59liar in the world and I don't accept him.
- 1:02:01And you have to keep mitzvahs. There were such ancient groups
- 1:02:04whose writings don't survive and the Church fathers wrote about
- 1:02:06them. So they were, but they all
- 1:02:08crushed those all said heresies. No, but what then?
- 1:02:11I must have not understood. It's my fault.
- 1:02:13Something that you said. I would.
- 1:02:15Prefer one, It's your fault rather than mine.
- 1:02:17I also like that now. So if if we have a statement in
- 1:02:22Matthews that says that there's a sensitivity to keeping the
- 1:02:24law, then we have later a comment by by Paul.
- 1:02:28Earlier. Okay, I should have said it that
- 1:02:30way. We also have a comment by Paul
- 1:02:33where the law is not important. All over the place.
- 1:02:36OK, but your explanation. Has no intrinsic value.
- 1:02:39It's very important to all. To show you that you're a filthy
- 1:02:42dirty Sinner. One second that has there's no
- 1:02:44intrinsic value, but yet it's there to prepare you for the
- 1:02:47coming of Jesus. No, to show you that you're a
- 1:02:50Sinner, you would look in the mirror.
- 1:02:52Because I wouldn't be able to keep it.
- 1:02:53Yes, the law. Paul says it about himself in
- 1:02:57Romans 7. He says when he found out about
- 1:03:00the law, he said until he knew about the law, he didn't know
- 1:03:04that he was a Sinner. When he found out that look, he
- 1:03:06realized he was a Sinner. There's nothing to do to save
- 1:03:08himself. OK.
- 1:03:09So it's tough. It's tough.
- 1:03:11What I'm saying suddenly is their excellent exactly what he.
- 1:03:14Said no I know, I'm just trying to understand it.
- 1:03:16Yeah. So good luck to you.
- 1:03:17No, so, so there's so there's there's a law that we were
- 1:03:20given, but not to keep it just to try so that we would know
- 1:03:23that we can't keep it. So therefore we're sinners, and
- 1:03:25we. Need you Exactly, exactly.
- 1:03:28And you only say Christ crucified.
- 1:03:30That's it. There's.
- 1:03:31No. Salvation outside of the Cross.
- 1:03:33So why don't Why aren't Christians?
- 1:03:35Every Christian is watching me now.
- 1:03:37Every Christian watching the show right now is going, have I
- 1:03:40seen her saying it, the truth. If so, come and I want to see
- 1:03:43that. I really want to.
- 1:03:44Know that this is stand, that what I'm saying to you is not an
- 1:03:47outlier. This is standard across the
- 1:03:49board. So then what?
- 1:03:50Would happen I. Wrote that to throw up Paul.
- 1:03:52So then. What would happen if Paul met me
- 1:03:54and he saw, Oh my gosh, you are keeping all of these laws?
- 1:03:57What would happen? Does that mean I'm an Angel?
- 1:04:01No, no, Paul was a Joseph Smith character.
- 1:04:07He was not a nice guy. So you're attributing too much
- 1:04:10character to Paul. Paul was.
- 1:04:12Synchronizing middle Platonic thinking with with Judaism.
- 1:04:19And he wasn't really authentically trying to work
- 1:04:23this out. You're ascribing too much.
- 1:04:27You're being, yeah, you're getting it.
- 1:04:29Paul was not a good guy. You would not want to have
- 1:04:31dinner with him. You might want to have dinner
- 1:04:33with Luke and not Paul. Paul was really a very, very
- 1:04:36bitter. Person, how do I know to say
- 1:04:38that's a big thing to say. First of all, his letters really
- 1:04:41survive. Number 2 is in the Christian
- 1:04:43Bible. So I want to just say one thing
- 1:04:45is very important for the viewers to know and that is how
- 1:04:48can I say anything if I don't believe in the Christian Bible?
- 1:04:52How am I speaking out with such confidence?
- 1:04:54So there is one methodology that really is well, we could look at
- 1:05:02an ancient text and say this is historical and this is all.
- 1:05:06There are many names for this rigorous methodology, but there
- 1:05:10is a way. It's called the criteria of
- 1:05:13embarrassment. If we have an ancient text, I
- 1:05:16don't believe in the book, right?
- 1:05:17It's mostly, but there may be some things in it that actually
- 1:05:21are historical. Well, how do I today in good way
- 1:05:24say that this really actually is historical?
- 1:05:27So there is a method, this method you can take to the bank.
- 1:05:31If there's something in the text that is very embarrassing and
- 1:05:35there's no reason in the world they would put it in there.
- 1:05:38That almost certainly is historical and we know for sure
- 1:05:41because of late other books like second Peter is going to try to
- 1:05:45for and for, which means to work this all out.
- 1:05:48So Paul could not get along with anybody.
- 1:05:50He no, he couldn't get along with anybody.
- 1:05:52The very people he should have been very grateful to Barnabas
- 1:05:54introduced him to Jerusalem church.
- 1:05:57He couldn't stand them. They couldn't get along.
- 1:05:58But yet he was accepted. And yet, he said, though.
- 1:06:02So in the book of Acts, Paul is we're introduced to Paul 1/3
- 1:06:08into the book of Acts. And the whole book of Acts is
- 1:06:10the vote to show that Paul really was the he was the really
- 1:06:14the Russia Shiva. God forgive me for saying that,
- 1:06:17but he was the he really got it and everyone else was wrong.
- 1:06:21It's really the show that Paul was the hero and he got
- 1:06:23everything and everyone's on the same page, but Paul is the
- 1:06:26giant. He's the leader of the church.
- 1:06:28He he, he knew all of it. So.
- 1:06:33But we told that I, I, I got oh, so Paul couldn't get wouldn't
- 1:06:38travel with Mark, the famous Mark.
- 1:06:40He wouldn't. They were cousins by the way.
- 1:06:42He wouldn't travel them. Peter were told in Galatians 2.
- 1:06:46He got into a whole fight with him in Antioch in Syria and he
- 1:06:49told Peter to his faith that he's the biggest hypocrite in
- 1:06:52the world. Now, what are the chances that
- 1:06:55somebody made-up that story? The answer is virtual zero.
- 1:06:59Why? Because it's very embarrassing.
- 1:07:01It's in there, right? That means all we find when
- 1:07:05we're dealing with pool is he could get along with anybody
- 1:07:08who's. I mean, you must have met people
- 1:07:10who are just very disagreeable and it may be a family member or
- 1:07:15someone and they walk into the room and they suck the oxygen
- 1:07:18out of the room because he can't talk to this person that was
- 1:07:21Paul. Paul could not get along with
- 1:07:22people. He was a highly material person.
- 1:07:25I mean, very temperamental person who people couldn't get
- 1:07:28along with him. And he was a person that was
- 1:07:30disagreeable. And it's my way the highway.
- 1:07:33And he said, openly said what I have is directly from Jesus
- 1:07:37Christ and what they have in the Jerusalem church.
- 1:07:41I don't get anything from them. I get it directly from them.
- 1:07:44So he's putting everyone down. I'm a Pharisee, Pharisees, and
- 1:07:47he's running around screaming. I'm not a liar.
- 1:07:49I'm not a liar, I'm not a liar. Why is the guy screaming?
- 1:07:52I'm not a liar so much because everyone's accusing of being a
- 1:07:54liar. This is not the guy you want to
- 1:07:56have dinner with. He is the author, by the way,
- 1:07:58according to the Christian Bible, he, excuse me, according
- 1:08:02to the to the church, he is the author of 14 books out of 20,
- 1:08:08seven books in the Christian Bible.
- 1:08:10And how important this figure is.
- 1:08:11And then we have the book of Acts, which he didn't write, but
- 1:08:14it's dedicated to him. And we have second Peter
- 1:08:16dedicated to him. So the Christian Bible is, is
- 1:08:19Paul. Paul.
- 1:08:20Without Paul, there'd be no Christianity.
- 1:08:22So, so we have, we have seeming, I would say it like this, we
- 1:08:28have seeming contradictions between numerous chapters and
- 1:08:32Mark and Matthews and John in terms of the level of
- 1:08:35religiosity associated with, with performing acts or
- 1:08:41mitzvahs. And then we have Paul that
- 1:08:43completely disrupts all of that. Therefore, if not for Paul, if
- 1:08:47Jesus was around and saw that his followers were putting on
- 1:08:50tefillin, he'd be like, what's wrong with you?
- 1:08:52We should be putting on tefillin.
- 1:08:53That'd be the best thing to do. And Paul would be like, no,
- 1:08:56Jesus. Actually, what you told me
- 1:08:58before is is that film really doesn't matter at all.
- 1:09:01You get that right? Except that they're not
- 1:09:03contemporaries. When Paul when Jesus around
- 1:09:06before he's dead. Until Paul didn't believe in
- 1:09:10Christianity, he claims he persecuted Christians given his
- 1:09:14personality. Maybe he did.
- 1:09:16Because he was such a lunatic who'd go around persecuting
- 1:09:19Christians have a crazy people. So he claims that.
- 1:09:22I think he's exaggerated to show that he was a real hostile
- 1:09:24witness. So it's not correct.
- 1:09:26That means Paul when Jesus was alive, let's say he was executed
- 1:09:31in the authority, Paul was not a Christian.
- 1:09:33Paul becomes a Christian a few years later, so they're not
- 1:09:36around the same time. Paul never met Jesus, period.
- 1:09:40OK. And he got this information from
- 1:09:42Jesus that we don't need to. Keep he didn't get his
- 1:09:43information from Jesus anything. What he did is he's conveying.
- 1:09:48What's called Middle Platonic thinking, dualistic thinking,
- 1:09:52Gnostic thinking. And I have to take one minute to
- 1:09:55explain this point, because without it you cannot.
- 1:09:58Understand, Paul, or any of this, None of this will make
- 1:10:00sense to you. So you have to understand how
- 1:10:02the ancient world viewed the world we occupy.
- 1:10:07I'm not going to ask you if modern medicine didn't exist, if
- 1:10:11you'd be alive today. Maybe, maybe not, I don't know.
- 1:10:15In the ancient world, people would death was ubiquitous.
- 1:10:19People got they didn't even know what they got married and three
- 1:10:22weeks later his wife, beautiful wife is dead.
- 1:10:25They didn't know what cancer was.
- 1:10:26They didn't know what infection like death was everywhere.
- 1:10:30I mean, penicillin was discovered by accident 1928 I
- 1:10:36first used in 1941. People were just the average
- 1:10:39expected lifespan in America in the 1900 was 42 years old.
- 1:10:43In the age world, people just dropped dead and they didn't
- 1:10:46know why. Death bodies were broken.
- 1:10:49People suffered miserably. Even those who survived suffered
- 1:10:53terrible. It was just terrible, like
- 1:10:55everything around you was broken.
- 1:10:57Conversely, one other point this is very important was you can't
- 1:11:01understand this period and you must enter into this ancient
- 1:11:04world, understand anything we've discussed tonight, and that is
- 1:11:07in the ancient world, people didn't have cell phones.
- 1:11:10It goes without saying. Well, people were very cognizant
- 1:11:13of the stars, the moons, the planetary system.
- 1:11:17There wasn't all this light pollution in Jerusalem, but we
- 1:11:19can't see anything because there's light all over.
- 1:11:22But in the ancient world, it was at night, it was dark, and if
- 1:11:25people viewed the constellations which moved with perfection,
- 1:11:29people can predict where this star would be on this time of
- 1:11:32the year. And with that star people
- 1:11:34understood it. What was very clear to them,
- 1:11:36this world was a sabra in the world.
- 1:11:39This world was a completely broken world created by a lower
- 1:11:43tier God called the demiurge. Paul will say in second
- 1:11:47Corinthians 4/4 that that Sutton himself is the Lord of this
- 1:11:52world. This is what I'm saying is like
- 1:11:54right in the that this world is a broken, broken place.
- 1:11:57And the idea is how to escape this broken world and to go into
- 1:12:01the spiritual world, which is perfect because the gods who
- 1:12:05created the stars and the moon, everything is perfect.
- 1:12:09Every star is exactly where it's supposed to be at a certain
- 1:12:11time. In the ancient world, this was
- 1:12:13the big deal. That's why no one before, no one
- 1:12:18ever believed the resurrection of the dead ever, besides the
- 1:12:22Jews, because to them we were insane.
- 1:12:24You know, the Jews were respected by the ancient world,
- 1:12:27generally speaking, in the Greco Roman world, they admired the
- 1:12:30Jews for a number of reasons. But the one thing Cicero talks
- 1:12:34about this the Jews were crazy. Well, two things, but the big
- 1:12:39one is why would you ever want to resurrect to your broken
- 1:12:42body? That doesn't make sense why the
- 1:12:46people would just think soon I'm going to be finished with this
- 1:12:49body. I mean this is how the.
- 1:12:51Philosophist thought this body is corrupt, it's filthy, it's
- 1:12:54dirty. So they've look, that's really
- 1:12:56the world that Paul is operating.
- 1:12:58In. And that is all these kinds of
- 1:13:01you can Shabbos. This is all of this world.
- 1:13:04We're really everything is about a spiritual world and that's
- 1:13:08Jesus came here and if you believe in him, you then go into
- 1:13:11the supernatural world. This is the Neoplatonic
- 1:13:15thinking. The world was highly dualistic
- 1:13:18and therefore Paul would extol the virtues of celibacy as an
- 1:13:23example. That means the seller.
- 1:13:26It's true. If you want to have children it,
- 1:13:28Paul says openly in First Corinthians 7/7.
- 1:13:31He says, look, if you can't control yourself, ideally be
- 1:13:35like me, be celibate, but at virgins, he says if you've never
- 1:13:41been, whatever, it's best to be like me.
- 1:13:43But if you can't control your passions, his words, he said,
- 1:13:46then get married because it's better to be married than to
- 1:13:49burn mind blowing in Matthew 19, Jesus, we're told now this is
- 1:13:55late. He put in his mouth extols the
- 1:13:58virtues of celibacy and that's why the priests and the nuns,
- 1:14:02you know, putatively are, you know, like this is a high level
- 1:14:06to a Jew. That's crazy.
- 1:14:07We have to we have right a in Aksuba, we have to promise our
- 1:14:11wise that we're not going to deny her any intimacy.
- 1:14:13So we're going are you insane? So in our world, in our world,
- 1:14:18the physical and the spiritual are intimately connected, but we
- 1:14:22bring an offering. We're taking a physical and
- 1:14:24we're raising it up to the spiritual that did not exist in
- 1:14:27the ancient world. So it is a take the thing that
- 1:14:31Paul is somehow infusing a misunderstanding of Judaism.
- 1:14:35Not at all. He is thoroughly Greek.
- 1:14:37Although he claims to be a Pharisee, he was not.
- 1:14:40He was highly trained in Greek philosophy and this is the way
- 1:14:44they thought, but he synchronized it with Judaism.
- 1:14:48Why would this work? So one other point for your
- 1:14:51viewers because or else you'll. Get nothing.
- 1:14:55In the ancient world, particularly in the 1st century,
- 1:14:57there was a tremendous amount of interest in conversion to
- 1:15:00Judaism. Judaism was very popular, like
- 1:15:02today. Today you can't get into
- 1:15:04conversion programs very hard. In the 1st century, monotheism
- 1:15:09only existed among Jews and was very attractive.
- 1:15:12So imagine for a moment if someone is considering
- 1:15:15converting to Judaism. You didn't have modern
- 1:15:17anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism as we know it
- 1:15:20today is all Christian. So let's say someone is
- 1:15:23considering converting to Judaism.
- 1:15:26What might prevent them from going through with it?
- 1:15:30You know the answer to two things, circumcision and keeping
- 1:15:33ritual commandments. Shop is up on the Friday and I'm
- 1:15:36not going to movies. You know, I have to.
- 1:15:39I can't eat bread for seven days or whatever.
- 1:15:42That's too much. So that's example, Paul said.
- 1:15:45Paul said that, look, I can give you Judaism.
- 1:15:49That means you can be in in you could be the heirs to the
- 1:15:53blessings of the Jews for free for free and you get all the
- 1:15:57this is if I didn't explain this, your views be watching
- 1:16:01this conversation and going, I don't understand what's going on
- 1:16:04here. So there's something actually,
- 1:16:05there's a methodical thing going on here.
- 1:16:07Why did Christianity emerge as the largest religion in the
- 1:16:10world? 1/3 of the world believes in
- 1:16:12this stuff. Are they crazy?
- 1:16:14So the answer is that what Christianity offers is Judaism,
- 1:16:19which is held in high esteem. Even those who don't like us in
- 1:16:22the world say Judaism is something very respectful.
- 1:16:26The Jews are blind because they don't accept our prophet, but
- 1:16:29the Jews are once chosen. The the ancients knew that
- 1:16:33Alexander the Greek met Shimanat Sadiq, who was the last
- 1:16:36surviving member of the Anchicanes, Agadola, the Jews of
- 1:16:39the people of antiquity. But circumcision and the ancient
- 1:16:43world wasn't so simple. And I can't have the culture.
- 1:16:46What? Today you could go and get
- 1:16:48empire, whatever it is, you know, it wasn't so simple.
- 1:16:51They didn't have refrigeration. It wasn't so simple.
- 1:16:53Today they could shack, they could slaughter an animal in
- 1:16:55Idaho and they could ship it to New York.
- 1:16:58Then it was a little complicated.
- 1:16:59The point is, so you have to say what's happening here?
- 1:17:02First of all, the idea is to completely separate yourself
- 1:17:05from this world. That was the whole thinking.
- 1:17:08The idea of myths means you're into this world, separate
- 1:17:11yourself of this world and two is we're offering a Judaism
- 1:17:15without without having to keep the ritual commandments.
- 1:17:18And then where do I sign up? That's what really happened.
- 1:17:21We're. Going to pivot because I want to
- 1:17:22make sure that I have enough time for everything, but I'm
- 1:17:24just going to say one thing from your explanation that depresses
- 1:17:27me, but I'm going to tell you why.
- 1:17:29I mean, I'm sure it's correct. I don't doubt it, but it
- 1:17:31depressed me. I'll tell you why it depresses
- 1:17:32me. As a Jew, I think constantly
- 1:17:35about uplifting God's earth, that I'm here to make a positive
- 1:17:38difference. And just the, the, the way that
- 1:17:41you're explaining Paul's SEL of Judaism, it's, it's a very
- 1:17:48depressing religion. It's a religion that's not based
- 1:17:50off striving to be a hero or greatness.
- 1:17:53If you didn't say that, you would need a psychiatrist.
- 1:17:55Yeah. That's that means that you are
- 1:17:57spiritually very, very healthy. That means you're very serious.
- 1:18:00Because if I was in a room, what's?
- 1:18:03Religion. Other.
- 1:18:04Than that it's all about connecting to God, but in
- 1:18:06Christianity so. The Father God, the creator,
- 1:18:11he's up there running the planets.
- 1:18:13And incidentally, it's not just it's in the Greco Roman world
- 1:18:17in, in, in the in the world of Alexander Grey, Zeus was the
- 1:18:21great God who was running the planets.
- 1:18:23People didn't pray to Zeus. Zeus was inaccessible in the in
- 1:18:27the Roman Empire. Jupiter, no one dive into
- 1:18:30Jupiter. Jupiter was running the planet
- 1:18:32in no time for you. You pray to a local lower tier
- 1:18:35God. This is called a hanotheism.
- 1:18:38So understand that in the ancient world you earn nothing,
- 1:18:41you're garbage people. The world didn't make sense.
- 1:18:46The great gods are way out there and therefore you need an
- 1:18:50intermediary which comes very close to what the Now we didn't
- 1:18:53say what the Rambam was talking about and how Avoi desert see no
- 1:18:57one I'm going to say this, but people unless you start
- 1:19:02Christianity and understand how what's in Avoi desert which the
- 1:19:05Rambam held because he understood the philosophy better
- 1:19:09than other of his contemporaries.
- 1:19:11He understood what it was He got it.
- 1:19:14The Rambam had a clarity of mind what we say from Moses to Moses.
- 1:19:19There was no one that could we often think about what from from
- 1:19:22Moshe Rabenu to to the Rambam. There was no one like them in
- 1:19:27between. He really is correct.
- 1:19:29He and I could say that from my perspective as being exposed to
- 1:19:32he really understood all of this stuff.
- 1:19:35He got it completely. He understood philosophical
- 1:19:38reflection and they'll say, look what here's the real deal that's
- 1:19:41going on. You're right.
- 1:19:42It should bother you if and and every Jew who's watching this
- 1:19:47show right now is going I can't believe this, but just
- 1:19:50understand that what I'm sharing with you is mainstream.
- 1:19:54This is clear. This is all over.
- 1:19:57And that's why celibacy is extolled.
- 1:19:59Separate yourself. In fact, the Church Fathers
- 1:20:02taught that. You if you married, so if you're
- 1:20:05going to have children, sleep either way, but if you.
- 1:20:08Let's say she's pregnant. Augustine taught that you should
- 1:20:11sleep in separate rooms and sleep together.
- 1:20:13I mean, it's a it's a necessity. They the the Orthodox Church
- 1:20:17teaches that even though Mary was conceived through natural
- 1:20:22means, right. But nevertheless, they had no
- 1:20:25pleasure in that relationship. Pleasure is disgusting.
- 1:20:28It's of this world. This is the way he thought.
- 1:20:30If you know it's sickened by this, there's something wrong
- 1:20:33with you. Judaism is adorable.
- 1:20:35Shabbos is the opposite Shabbos. We take the little wine and the
- 1:20:40little color and we raise it up to God.
- 1:20:42We make the miracle on it and we take the physical raise of the
- 1:20:45spiritual. Christianity is the exact
- 1:20:47opposite. And that's why I want to convey
- 1:20:49to you that it's not Christianity and Judaism, but
- 1:20:51not too religious. We, we disagree about the
- 1:20:53Messiah. That's not the case.
- 1:20:56It's really the it's ace of an Yaakov.
- 1:20:58It's two polar opposite views of the world.
- 1:21:01Christianity is man's effort to create God in his image.
- 1:21:05Judaism, conversely, is God's successful endeavor in creating
- 1:21:09man in his image. That's really what's going on.
- 1:21:12So I'm happy we sort of tease this out together because we
- 1:21:16would have never gotten to this place.
- 1:21:17We understand what's really going on, on the atomic level.
- 1:21:22Interesting. Yeah.
- 1:21:23Yeah, I get what you're saying, you see.
- 1:21:25Yeah, and they've got this belt on, champ, this view which
- 1:21:29underlies everything, overrides your tedious looking at Matthew
- 1:21:345. Rabbi, I'm missing the boat.
- 1:21:37Yeah. And then Jesus says that, you
- 1:21:38know, you pluck out that, you know, you can't see the thought
- 1:21:41in your own eye. You know, you, you you're being
- 1:21:44pedantic and picking in like the old Pharisees.
- 1:21:46But this is really, this is really what's going on.
- 1:21:52OK, OK, I just, I, I wish it wasn't so depressing, really.
- 1:21:58The Sermon on the Mount almost gave me a little bit of hope.
- 1:22:00Like, wow, maybe there's at least there's, there's, there's
- 1:22:03some positivity we're able to give over to another religion,
- 1:22:06you know, some sensitivity of there is a law and, and, and and
- 1:22:10meaning behind the law. But let's move on.
- 1:22:13You're living in a time that there are some nice Christians
- 1:22:16surround, but you have to understand this is just a blink
- 1:22:20of an eye. Christendom was our arch enemy.
- 1:22:23So. So here's 2000 years.
- 1:22:25So here's what's interesting. Yeah.
- 1:22:27So, you know, I had a job once years ago, like a summer
- 1:22:33internship that I was doing. And it was from now on that I
- 1:22:36started Robonis. But interesting enough, my boss
- 1:22:39so apologized to me. I remember saying I'm really
- 1:22:43sorry about the Crusades. And so I look back at my boss
- 1:22:49and I said I don't have the ability to forgive your people.
- 1:22:52That's it. Doesn't lie with me.
- 1:22:54But ever since then, I remember I was, I think I was 18 at the
- 1:22:57time, maybe 19. I was like Christianity puts
- 1:23:02forward that it's the, the religion of, of peace and
- 1:23:05acceptance. And I can't think of many other
- 1:23:11violent aggressive religions of, of, of murder and, and theft and
- 1:23:16excuse my language, but rape and kidnapping.
- 1:23:19And how do you, I mean, how, how do you, how do you understand
- 1:23:23that? And what do you think?
- 1:23:24What do you think Jesus would say?
- 1:23:27Well, you're asking me a. Question I When I answer
- 1:23:30questions, I viewers are watching me and they're saying,
- 1:23:34Rabbi, I need the truth. And so I have to be very
- 1:23:37careful. That if I don't have anything he
- 1:23:40wrote that survives, I'm not going to pretend as though I
- 1:23:44have access to literature. No, I'm not saying that.
- 1:23:46No, you're not. I don't think you have access to
- 1:23:48literature that we don't. But you have all this experience
- 1:23:50that. We right, right, right.
- 1:23:51So the the Christian worldview, the Jew, this is sort of taking
- 1:23:56us back to a full circle. So the Christian world viewed
- 1:23:59the Jew as. The enemy of civilization of
- 1:24:04mankind when the Council of Nicaea was which saw the
- 1:24:09doctrine treaty meaning it made it orthodoxy in the Church at
- 1:24:12325. The immediate response of the
- 1:24:15Church in 326 is every Jew is. Expelled from your Schleim.
- 1:24:19We could not have this conversation.
- 1:24:21We'd be thrown out of Jerusalem and it would stay that way for
- 1:24:2435 years until Julian, an emperor who rejected
- 1:24:27Christianity, hence he's called the apostate.
- 1:24:30He says. I don't.
- 1:24:31Believe in Christianity. You just go back to Jerusalem.
- 1:24:33Unfortunately, he only reigned for 19 months.
- 1:24:36And then look at Napoleon. During his reign, the Jews had
- 1:24:41freedom, right? Had freedom.
- 1:24:43What happened to what happened? So the Jews were free.
- 1:24:45He said go, make a son hedge and go.
- 1:24:48Do what you want. Go, Jews experience complete
- 1:24:52freedom of religion, right? What happens in 1815 when he's
- 1:24:57defeated? What did Pope Pius the 7th God
- 1:25:00help us from post with the name Pius?
- 1:25:02What does Pope Pius the 7th do? Immediately get back into the
- 1:25:06ghetto. You're done.
- 1:25:07Go back into that low, low state.
- 1:25:10It's unbelievable. So this is the history of the
- 1:25:13church that the now the church has to struggle with that the
- 1:25:17Jews should return to air to show an ace of smells.
- 1:25:21Eddom smells the church smells that it's last breaths are here.
- 1:25:26That we're living in a messianic.
- 1:25:29Period. An epic of time.
- 1:25:31And therefore this is Oh yes, Oh yes, Oh yeah, we're here.
- 1:25:35That means I don't believe Mashiach is coming.
- 1:25:37I believe we're in it now to transpose that if we can go to
- 1:25:43the exodus as an example, we would.
- 1:25:47I'm not saying I'll just say borrowed hail 7, right?
- 1:25:51I'm not saying it like 7. I'm just making that up.
- 1:25:54We are in the midst of a process and it isn't an accident.
- 1:25:59The meal that we, which is filled with more of mitzvos and
- 1:26:04so on than any other, is called a.
- 1:26:07I wouldn't have called it that name, but it's called a seder,
- 1:26:10which means an order of events. That means there's an order of
- 1:26:13events in Tanak. Then you have Michek.
- 1:26:15When you said moments, It's all very famous stuff and I have no
- 1:26:19question. That was October 7th.
- 1:26:20The Gwar Megillah openly says that no hemis Gogo Mogo begins
- 1:26:24on circus. For that reason we read Ezeal 38
- 1:26:27and 39, Ralph Laman. I'm not, I'm not saying it
- 1:26:29because I'm some optimist. The reason why I ref Kamnevsky,
- 1:26:32they all understand whether Zion's not Zion doesn't matter.
- 1:26:36Everyone on everyone who knows, knows that we are now in the
- 1:26:41process of the Gulu. It actually is Iran.
- 1:26:44What do we have to do with Iran? We have no land issue with them.
- 1:26:47They're not even Arabs. They're Persians.
- 1:26:49And right now, Mamish, right now, as you and I know, we could
- 1:26:53be going to war with Iran within hours, OK, within hours.
- 1:26:58Do you know that Persia is the nation that Ezekiel chapter 38
- 1:27:03says? Is it going to be the chief of
- 1:27:04the enemy of Israel? Now the reason why this so
- 1:27:07outrageous is that Persia throughout history was a benign
- 1:27:11empire which treated the Jews well compared to others.
- 1:27:16Cyrus said to the Jews go back the Bhavali, the Talmud Bhavali
- 1:27:21what's the shafts was written in the southern what's today modern
- 1:27:25day Iraq, which at the time, let's say it was done in the
- 1:27:29year 500 was in the Persian Empire, the Sasanian Empire life
- 1:27:32was good. The Persians was like ballpark
- 1:27:35do what you want. So for the for the sages to say
- 1:27:40Persia one day will not just be anonymous, but will be the head
- 1:27:44of the snake is mind blowing. We are living in the time of the
- 1:27:48messianic age now, meaning it's all of but why is it schlepping
- 1:27:52out? That means why is there a Seder?
- 1:27:54What do I need 15 parts of Seder because I shouldn't want people
- 1:27:57to do Chuva. Look at you yeshiva.
- 1:27:59I don't know you should. I haven't been there, but I'm
- 1:28:01sure you many of those people did not grow up religious right?
- 1:28:04And they became what's happening because they're seeing there's
- 1:28:07something going on. This country is going through a
- 1:28:09revolution today. That's mind blowing.
- 1:28:11This is what's happened. God is now using these phenomena
- 1:28:15which are undeniable and Jews are going OK, I, I, I, I have to
- 1:28:20reconsider my life as a, you know, going to reform temple and
- 1:28:25he I don't know if they get the reform, but just I have to take
- 1:28:28my religion more seriously. And you think that Christians
- 1:28:31are smelling that and therefore they're.
- 1:28:32Changing, they're going into the middle, falls out.
- 1:28:34And that's what Tanakh is about. It's interesting in that famous
- 1:28:37verse, I'll bless those who bless you, cross those across
- 1:28:39you. What about all the people in
- 1:28:40between? There won't be any more between.
- 1:28:42It's really quite elegant. Like if I, I don't know, we
- 1:28:45don't know each other, right? If I ask you what do you think
- 1:28:48of Koreans, I can say that you'll probably, I don't have a
- 1:28:51strong feeling they're all right.
- 1:28:52If I, I don't know you, but I would say, ask you what do you
- 1:28:55think of the Chinese? You'd say they're OK, right?
- 1:28:58You don't have a strong view, I'm presuming, like most of us.
- 1:29:01But you know and I know we walked on the streets of
- 1:29:03Antwerp, London and Manchester and asked me, what do you think
- 1:29:06of the Jews, Milan. People would either say I hate
- 1:29:10them or I love them. The only part of this experiment
- 1:29:16is thought experiment is that people have to tell the truth.
- 1:29:19No one would say I have no opinion of the Jews.
- 1:29:22Everyone has a very strong and that's what we're watching now
- 1:29:24is a complete polarization. The middle is falling out.
- 1:29:27You and I are observing an explosion of anti-Semitism,
- 1:29:32which in the mainstream, which we have never seen in my I'm
- 1:29:35older than you. I have never seen it in my life
- 1:29:38in the major. It was always a weirdo clan guy
- 1:29:40in the in, in the fringe, but not in mainstream.
- 1:29:43Tucker Carlson would even get out of the airport.
- 1:29:45I know it's unbelievable. So therefore, that's what's
- 1:29:48happening. This is the things in the ship.
- 1:29:49There's no in between now. Now is a time where either
- 1:29:53you're choosing to be with God or you're an enemy of God.
- 1:29:56Do you think that if Mark was around today, Mark OK his, from
- 1:30:02what you see from his from his writings, do you think that he'd
- 1:30:05be pleased with how the Christian role turned out?
- 1:30:10You really can't now. I don't know who Mark is.
- 1:30:13The writer of Mark is not Mark. OK, the writer of Mark.
- 1:30:17Whoever of Mark is, Mark is a high.
- 1:30:19Let me just tell you who he is and then you'll understand why I
- 1:30:23can't answer that. The author of Mark probably
- 1:30:25wrote the book in the year 75. He was a highly literate
- 1:30:29Christian who's copying from previous sources.
- 1:30:32That's all I know about. How could I possibly answer?
- 1:30:35He would be shattered. I'll tell you he we
- 1:30:38flabbergasted. The Jews returned back because
- 1:30:41of Mark 13. So Mark 13, the author of Mark
- 1:30:45is writing after the fact. He's writing after destruction
- 1:30:48second level, but he has Jesus saying that the temple is going
- 1:30:51to be destroyed. OK, That's how we know that it's
- 1:30:54written after like Hebrews written before says no mental
- 1:30:57destruction temple. So the let's just be as
- 1:31:01charitable as possible. Let's steel man the case.
- 1:31:04Okay, so we're going to say whoever ruled Mark was
- 1:31:06definitely a highly literate Christian who lived at the end
- 1:31:10of the 1st century. Let's just steel man this so
- 1:31:14that the Jews have returned back to the land of Israel and fully
- 1:31:18an autonomous country, which means in the in, in the time of,
- 1:31:23let's say in the beginning of the 1st century, Israel was a
- 1:31:26vassal state under the Roman Empire.
- 1:31:28It's only less than a century that we were somewhat
- 1:31:31independent. In the Maccabean period, the
- 1:31:33whole Second Temple, we were a vassal state.
- 1:31:36So he would go, oh, this is all a lie because the Jews have
- 1:31:39returned. That's what's really bothering
- 1:31:40them. If the Jews return, then this is
- 1:31:44a problem because in the Christian Bible God is done with
- 1:31:47the Jews. Is there anything in the New
- 1:31:50Testament that you feel that they got right?
- 1:31:57Could you just you? Want me to change the question?
- 1:32:03No, I want you just to to to refine the question.
- 1:32:07Yes, yes. I mean, when Paul says so in the
- 1:32:12book of Romans, Paul has to be least aggressive towards Jews
- 1:32:19because he's writing to a church he's never been to.
- 1:32:21He doesn't know what they are. The Jews are reading it.
- 1:32:23So you know, Paul says, look, the, the, the Jews, it is, it is
- 1:32:29wonderful to be a Jew and, and, and that they're circumcised and
- 1:32:35they after all, did give us the oracles of God.
- 1:32:38It came to the Jews. So that's Romans chapter 3,
- 1:32:42three verse one and two. Also you have Matthew 23, one
- 1:32:46and two. They the the rabbi's the term is
- 1:32:50the Pharisees describes, which is the same thing.
- 1:32:53Orthodox Jews. The Orthodox Jews sit in the
- 1:32:57seat of Moses. And therefore, whatever they
- 1:33:00teach you, you must follow. So that's nice.
- 1:33:05The only problem is you're smiling going what's going on
- 1:33:07there? How did he say that?
- 1:33:09So if you every Christian watching us now on YouTube is
- 1:33:12going Rabbi, why don't you tell what it says after?
- 1:33:16So it continues. It goes into craziness.
- 1:33:20Do as they say, but don't do as they do.
- 1:33:22So the author of the Christian Bible viewed Jesus a Pharisee,
- 1:33:26therefore believing in written Torah and oral Torah.
- 1:33:29As far as the Christian Bible is concerned.
- 1:33:31What the Jews, Orthodox Jews teach the term.
- 1:33:33Orthodox Jew is a modern term, but it's fine.
- 1:33:38It's the same as the Pharisees. Exact same thing.
- 1:33:40I mean, Jews believe written in oral Torah.
- 1:33:42So as far as New Testament goes, the written orator is from God
- 1:33:46and the Pharisees are transmitted correctly and
- 1:33:48whatever they're telling you is from God.
- 1:33:50However, do as they say, but don't do as they do because
- 1:33:54they're hypocrites and Vipers and they're disgusting and they
- 1:33:58they outwardly show look how big my phone are and they pray in
- 1:34:01public. Look at me, I pray to God.
- 1:34:04And they killed every innocent person in history that upon them
- 1:34:08in verse 35 of the same chapter 2, but not univocal.
- 1:34:11Matthew 2330, the Jews are responsible for all the innocent
- 1:34:15bloodshed from Abel. We're responsible for Abel until
- 1:34:20Zechariah. And as a mistake, they said the
- 1:34:23son of Barrahiah, it's really the wrong Zechariah.
- 1:34:26There's many Zechariah and Tanakh that Zechariah wrote the
- 1:34:29book of Zechariah. But there's this is Haya Ben
- 1:34:32Yahyada who's actually killed on Yun Kippur.
- 1:34:34So Matthew messed it up. Luke cleans it up in 1151.
- 1:34:38So the whole chapter is viciously anti-Semitic, but it
- 1:34:42does begin by creating a separation.
- 1:34:45What they're saying the content of their information is from
- 1:34:49God. However, they're not just
- 1:34:51they're not blind. Blind are the Africans.
- 1:34:54They don't know anything. They malicious, they're
- 1:34:57hypocrites, they're Vipers. They outwardly try to show the
- 1:35:01Jewish but inwardly they're completely corrupt and I'm not
- 1:35:05going to make my second coming unless the Jews say blessed he
- 1:35:07that comes in the name of Lord verse 39.
- 1:35:09That's how it ends. So it's a horrible chapter, but
- 1:35:12it begins with those two verses. A person who looks at the
- 1:35:16Christian Bible. Now you have to study it.
- 1:35:20Of course, first of all, you don't have to study it.
- 1:35:25It's it's a work of avoid desire, but you can't understand
- 1:35:29unless you get what the whole deals going on.
- 1:35:32It's really a very, very ugly work, but it's attractive.
- 1:35:36You have to send the attraction. The attraction is it affirms
- 1:35:40your worst character quality. And that is it affirms that
- 1:35:43you're a loser, you're a Sinner and there's nothing you can do
- 1:35:46to save yourself and you're nothing.
- 1:35:48You're Nidrick and therefore, ah, he came who's perfect and he
- 1:35:53died for you. If you just believe in him,
- 1:35:55you're saying bingo. So that's the whole thing.
- 1:35:58But the key is it it feed it. What fuels it is low self
- 1:36:03esteem, which you know and I know is the worst.
- 1:36:08Thing the worst thing, everybody.
- 1:36:09Twisty wrote all his books is basically he wants everything is
- 1:36:13based on that. Everybody understands that low
- 1:36:17self esteem feeling that you're low and filthy and dirty is the
- 1:36:22that's why people marry the wrong person.
- 1:36:24All the bad decision life. So Christianity affirms it and
- 1:36:27says you are low and that's why it's attractive.
- 1:36:30Judaism says seek the Lord when you find calling.
- 1:36:32There, there. Ah, and the Sinner to the
- 1:36:36Haftorah on the first days. If the Sinner repents, I'll
- 1:36:39forgive them. How would you forgive me?
- 1:36:41You'd never believe me. I'm a lowlife.
- 1:36:42No, my ways are higher than your ways.
- 1:36:44It's. Really, The prophet said, stop
- 1:36:46thinking. The prophets fought this tooth
- 1:36:48and nail, Jeremiah fought this, Isaiah fought this.
- 1:36:50Stop thinking these stupid thoughts.
- 1:36:51This is what the main thing is. You can do it.
- 1:36:53You can make it, and God would forgive you.
- 1:36:56Wow. Must two questions.
- 1:36:58Number one, what about the chapters that that discussed
- 1:37:02being, you know, kind to the poor and the downtrodden or in
- 1:37:05Luke where we we see the depiction of Jesus going up to
- 1:37:08to to the temple during the High holidays.
- 1:37:10Is there anything that that you think that you're happy to see
- 1:37:14within these writings? No, because what it's doing in
- 1:37:17every one of those stories is look at how Jesus acted in
- 1:37:21contrast to the Jews. So I mean, you have to look at
- 1:37:24the whole story. The whole story is Jesus goes
- 1:37:26into the temple and there are money changers there who we are.
- 1:37:31The story somehow conveys is that something wrong with that
- 1:37:34really isn't because they couldn't use the coinage of the
- 1:37:37empire which had to fight the idols on it, right?
- 1:37:39But it's presented as the whole thing is a whole corruption and
- 1:37:43he go, so therefore Jesus doing all these wonderful things.
- 1:37:47But it's contrasted in every story, in every one of these
- 1:37:50stories against the the Jews who are just enemies of God, who are
- 1:37:55totally corrupt and totally hypocrites, even though they
- 1:37:58know the truth. And that's the key of the Jews
- 1:38:00of the devil. The Jews deep down believe in
- 1:38:02Jesus, but reject them anyway. So that's why it's not moving
- 1:38:06because it's always contrasting. Look how nice the nice Roman
- 1:38:10Catholic is who's so sweet compared to the Jew.
- 1:38:15So it's all dripping in anti-Semitism.
- 1:38:18Leave us something to walk away with.
- 1:38:19What's what's the message you want to give Charles Sinners?
- 1:38:22The yeshiva world has to go back to the Novi.
- 1:38:25This is a mistake we made. I I we were given a gift.
- 1:38:30A man who was born in Portugal in 1437 and he passed away in
- 1:38:34Italy in 15 O 8. His name was the Barbonelle, one
- 1:38:38of the greatest minds that ever lived.
- 1:38:40And he wrote a commentary on the Nuvium and made what to me seems
- 1:38:45impossible, possible means I don't know how anyone understood
- 1:38:49nothing before him. I say return.
- 1:38:53We're in the der Hagula. We're in the the, the generation
- 1:38:57of the redemption. It's very important now to look
- 1:39:00at these sacred oracles. After all, we're the generation
- 1:39:04that the round Mama said would understand what these verses
- 1:39:06mean. That's because I'll always said
- 1:39:09the generation who see the only, they'll really understand it.
- 1:39:13So here we are. I say let's welcome Mashiach
- 1:39:16together. Let's look at the holy taxi,
- 1:39:18sacred oracles and welcome Mashiach and live in a time when
- 1:39:22Saifani, who live down the street from here, said that all
- 1:39:26the national speak with suffer Brewer and a pure species going
- 1:39:29to see it quickly in our time. I mean nervous singer, thank you
- 1:39:32so much. That was great.
- 1:39:34See everyone? That's alright.
