- 0:02Speaker 1: Welcome to the Spunky Spirit Podcast. I'm your host, Psychic Medium,
- 0:05Speaker 1: Keri Muggs. In this space, we get curious about your intuition,
- 0:11Speaker 1: explore your connection with spirit, and find a little magic
- 0:14Speaker 1: in everyday life. We'll share stories, ask questions, and talk
- 0:19Speaker 1: about learning to trust yourself, even when you're still trying
- 0:22Speaker 1: to figure things out. Because I believe we all have abilities,
- 0:26Speaker 1: and there's always more to discover. So take a breath,
- 0:30Speaker 1: get comfortable, and and let's remember your magic. Hello. So
- 0:40Speaker 1: today we are going to talk about tarot cards versus
- 0:46Speaker 1: oracle cards. And this is in honor of Tarot Tuesday.
- 0:49Speaker 1: And I did my very first one this week. If
- 0:52Speaker 1: you guys were there, that's great. If you weren't, I
- 0:54Speaker 1: get it. There's lots of stuff going on, but it
- 0:56Speaker 1: was fun. And I'm learning how to do tarot and
- 1:01Speaker 1: it's been so fun and it's awesome to do it
- 1:05Speaker 1: with you guys, to have you guys be part of
- 1:07Speaker 1: it because it's been a blast. And I love that
- 1:12Speaker 1: you guys, my spunksters, are with me and don't judge.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And the thing is, is there's a lot of things
- 1:19Speaker 1: that I need to fix. There's a lot of bugs
- 1:21Speaker 1: that I need to fix. But honestly... It was fun.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I need to figure out the comments and I need
- 1:28Speaker 1: to have people ask questions and I need to figure
- 1:32Speaker 1: out when spirits come through. I need to focus on
- 1:34Speaker 1: the tarot right now. So when spirits do come through,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I don't feel like I'm not giving them attention. So
- 1:41Speaker 1: it'll work out. We'll figure it out. And eventually we
- 1:43Speaker 1: will have spirits come through, but I want to be
- 1:46Speaker 1: able to give my full attention to them too. So today,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I mean, if you ever looked at an Oracle deck, Well,
- 1:55Speaker 1: first off, I want to thank you because my event,
- 1:59Speaker 1: do some housekeeping stuff that I forget about. My event
- 2:02Speaker 1: is sold out in December 5th. So thank you so much.
- 2:04Speaker 1: I owe you guys so much. That's been awesome. I'm
- 2:07Speaker 1: excited for it. It's a holiday one. They're my favorite
- 2:11Speaker 1: and I couldn't do it without you guys. And so
- 2:14Speaker 1: thank you for that. And also too, if you're getting
- 2:17Speaker 1: my emails and if you're supposed to be getting my
- 2:20Speaker 1: emails and you don't see them every Tuesday, then they're
- 2:23Speaker 1: most likely going to junk. So make sure you go
- 2:26Speaker 1: into your spam or your junk and make sure that
- 2:28Speaker 1: you're putting them to come to your inbox. So, okay.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So have you ever looked at a tarot deck and
- 2:36Speaker 1: an Oracle deck and asked, what's the difference? And are
- 2:42Speaker 1: they actually different? And which one are you supposed to use?
- 2:44Speaker 1: So today we're going to make it simple. You do
- 2:46Speaker 1: not need to pass a test before you pick up
- 2:48Speaker 1: a deck. Oracle deck's Um, they're kind of more general.
- 2:53Speaker 1: They have a more general meaning. The tarot deck has
- 2:56Speaker 1: an established structure. Oracle decks follow a structure that their
- 3:00Speaker 1: creator chooses. And speaking of oral decks, I do have
- 3:03Speaker 1: an oral deck coming out. Signs and symbols or oral
- 3:06Speaker 1: deck by it's called, um, yeah, signs and symbols, spirits,
- 3:11Speaker 1: signs and symbols. And it's beautiful. I'm so excited. So anyways,
- 3:15Speaker 1: that is an Oracle deck and you can like enjoy
- 3:18Speaker 1: either both the Oracle or the tarot. and decide which
- 3:23Speaker 1: one you want to do. So maybe this will kind
- 3:24Speaker 1: of help you decide. Tarot decks. There is a traditional...
- 3:29Speaker 1: Tarot decks are traditional. They are 78 cards. There's 22
- 3:34Speaker 1: of them that are major arcanas. That means there's 22
- 3:38Speaker 1: of them that hold like a major feel about the
- 3:42Speaker 1: deck or have major meanings. Like there's like the sun,
- 3:49Speaker 1: which means... bringing in good things. And then there's a star,
- 3:52Speaker 1: which means hope. Then there's also the tower, which means
- 3:56Speaker 1: things are falling apart. So these are the ones that
- 3:58Speaker 1: hold a major feel over the reading when you're doing
- 4:03Speaker 1: your reading. And there's 56 minor arcana. And the minor
- 4:09Speaker 1: arcana are day-to-day activities. So day-to-day things that you're doing.
- 4:12Speaker 1: This is why the tarot is more detailed. And the
- 4:15Speaker 1: tarot has good and bad in it. Where Oracle does too,
- 4:19Speaker 1: but Oracle's more like you can put a positive spin
- 4:22Speaker 1: on it. Oracle decks are kind of more general. So
- 4:25Speaker 1: that's like where the joke is, is if you want to,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you know, a general fluffy feeling, do an Oracle deck.
- 4:32Speaker 1: But if you really want to know what's going on,
- 4:34Speaker 1: then do a tarot, do a tarot reading. And the
- 4:36Speaker 1: minor arcana, they're divided into four suits, just like a
- 4:40Speaker 1: regular playing card deck. So they have the hearts and
- 4:44Speaker 1: the clubs and the spades. But these ones, the suits
- 4:48Speaker 1: are cups, wands, swords, and pentacles. And the names in
- 4:53Speaker 1: the artwork can vary between each deck. But the original deck,
- 4:57Speaker 1: it is the cups, the wands, the swords, and the pentacles.
- 5:03Speaker 1: So the major arcana, they explore the life themes, general life,
- 5:07Speaker 1: like broader life themes. The minor arcana offer framework for,
- 5:12Speaker 1: you know, like everyday experiences and things and it's, you,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you kind of, I mean, I did study, I studied
- 5:21Speaker 1: tarot to try and figure out what, and I still
- 5:22Speaker 1: don't know what all 78 cards mean. So it does
- 5:26Speaker 1: take a little bit, even on my first yesterday on
- 5:29Speaker 1: my first, you know, Tuesday on my first, um, tarot
- 5:33Speaker 1: with Tuesday, Tuesday with tarot, it was, I had to
- 5:37Speaker 1: check my cheat sheet a little bit because they are
- 5:39Speaker 1: kind of hard to remember, but I feel like the
- 5:41Speaker 1: more you do it, the better you get. The main
- 5:44Speaker 1: thing is though, Both decks, Oracle and Tarot, they both
- 5:47Speaker 1: want you to tap into your intuition. They really do.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And so I can already pretty much do that, but
- 5:53Speaker 1: I want to learn the Tarot. I can look at
- 5:55Speaker 1: the cards and tap into my own intuition. I can
- 5:57Speaker 1: look at my psychic. I can look and tap into
- 5:59Speaker 1: my things. I can do that. But I also want
- 6:02Speaker 1: to know, I want to, I want to learn more
- 6:05Speaker 1: about my craft. And so Tarot is, is what I'm doing. Oracle,
- 6:09Speaker 1: there is no single required card count or shared structure
- 6:13Speaker 1: in Um, and the creator can create what they want
- 6:17Speaker 1: around their own themes and messages and images and their
- 6:20Speaker 1: particular practice. And that's what I did with my Oracle deck. I,
- 6:24Speaker 1: you know, themed it around carry connects and the signs
- 6:26Speaker 1: and the symbols to watch for each day. So that's
- 6:30Speaker 1: kind of how, um, Oracle decks work. I did it
- 6:34Speaker 1: around my own practice and my own themes and carry connects.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And that's what Oracle decks do. So, um, the structure
- 6:42Speaker 1: is different. but it doesn't mean that one's easier than
- 6:45Speaker 1: the other. I think so. I do. But because tarot
- 6:51Speaker 1: does have certain meanings and there's so much to put
- 6:54Speaker 1: into each card. So, and I go off Oracle, I
- 6:58Speaker 1: go strictly off intuition. And tarot, I probably will too eventually,
- 7:02Speaker 1: but I want to know the meanings in the direction
- 7:04Speaker 1: of the cards. So tarot will give you an established
- 7:07Speaker 1: framework to learn. And the artwork, The artwork is kind
- 7:11Speaker 1: of important for tarot because it kind of helps you remember.
- 7:14Speaker 1: It adds another layer in the interpretations. And every reader
- 7:19Speaker 1: can interpret it different, though. So if I think it
- 7:21Speaker 1: means one thing to me, it can mean something else
- 7:24Speaker 1: to somebody else. But there's a general rule of thumb
- 7:27Speaker 1: with tarot. And tarot kind of tells a story. You
- 7:30Speaker 1: start with the fool and you go to the magician.
- 7:33Speaker 1: And the fool takes off and has an adventure and
- 7:35Speaker 1: he runs to the magician. And then he runs into
- 7:37Speaker 1: different people. people throughout his journey. And those are all
- 7:43Speaker 1: the major arcana cards. He runs into the emperor. He
- 7:46Speaker 1: runs into the death guy. He runs into different people,
- 7:51Speaker 1: the chariot. And so that's, it's kind of cool. That
- 7:54Speaker 1: little tarot story of the fool. And technically the person sitting,
- 7:59Speaker 1: getting the reading is the fool and he's run and it's,
- 8:02Speaker 1: he's going through his earth and his day-to-day transitions and
- 8:06Speaker 1: but sometimes the major arcana themes come up. So I
- 8:09Speaker 1: hope that kind of makes sense. With Oracle, you learn
- 8:13Speaker 1: the language of that particular deck. One creator's symbols and
- 8:17Speaker 1: keywords may mean something completely different than another one's. So
- 8:21Speaker 1: in my deck that I'm creating, a key might mean
- 8:25Speaker 1: something different to somebody else who creates another deck. But
- 8:28Speaker 1: in Tarot, it's generally the same. They're generally the same.
- 8:33Speaker 1: A guidebook is allowed for both. Reading it does not...
- 8:38Speaker 1: if you read the guidebooks, it doesn't mean that you fail,
- 8:41Speaker 1: that your intuition, it just means sometimes you need a
- 8:43Speaker 1: little help. Like when I was doing the Tuesday Tarot
- 8:47Speaker 1: and it was kind of crazy and sometimes I needed
- 8:49Speaker 1: a little help because you get nervous. But you can
- 8:53Speaker 1: read the intention of the creators, you know, whatever the
- 8:59Speaker 1: intention that the creator meant with the images that are
- 9:02Speaker 1: on the oracle. So when I do carry connects, I
- 9:04Speaker 1: always say, watch for these signs and symbols, right? And
- 9:08Speaker 1: when you're reading tarot, there are certain signs and symbols
- 9:11Speaker 1: that do have meanings because it's the meaning of the card.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So it's kind of hard to explain a little bit,
- 9:18Speaker 1: but tarot is more generally structured. But neither one of
- 9:21Speaker 1: them is better than the other. A strong emotional reaction
- 9:25Speaker 1: to a card can be in both, in oracle or tarot.
- 9:31Speaker 1: And And there's no proof that the message is fact.
- 9:35Speaker 1: It's just a general idea. But I'm still learning the
- 9:40Speaker 1: tarot cards. I can pull an oracle deck and pretty
- 9:43Speaker 1: much know what the meanings of the cards mean most
- 9:46Speaker 1: of the time. A tarot deck, I never could. I
- 9:50Speaker 1: never could pull a card and know exactly what it
- 9:54Speaker 1: meant because I had no idea. Cups meant emotion and
- 9:58Speaker 1: wands meant fire. or power and swords meant air. I
- 10:05Speaker 1: didn't know that they had those things and those elements
- 10:07Speaker 1: to them. So now that I do, I can get
- 10:09Speaker 1: a better general idea of what it means. So if
- 10:12Speaker 1: you're choosing a deck, start with artwork that you're comfortable with,
- 10:16Speaker 1: comfortable to look at But if you're choosing a tarot deck,
- 10:19Speaker 1: I would start with the, gosh, I don't even know
- 10:25Speaker 1: the first deck. There's a tarot deck that's old, that's
- 10:30Speaker 1: been around for a really long time, that the artwork's
- 10:33Speaker 1: been around forever. And it's generally the first tarot deck.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I would start with that. Because sometimes when you get
- 10:40Speaker 1: different tarot decks, they do have different pictures. It's easier
- 10:44Speaker 1: for me to learn with an original tarot deck. But
- 10:47Speaker 1: you can do what you want to. You do not
- 10:51Speaker 1: have to choose a deck that somebody tells you to,
- 10:53Speaker 1: like I just did. You can do whatever you want.
- 10:55Speaker 1: You can choose whatever you want. I did take a
- 10:58Speaker 1: tarot class. I've never had to take an oracle class.
- 11:01Speaker 1: With oracle decks, I can just kind of tune into
- 11:03Speaker 1: myself or tune into my own intuition. If you have
- 11:08Speaker 1: access to the sample book or guidebook, you can read it.
- 11:12Speaker 1: If it's clear and useful, then that's good. But you know,
- 11:19Speaker 1: a lot of times you don't have access to that. So,
- 11:22Speaker 1: so yeah. Do you want to study or do you
- 11:25Speaker 1: want a deck built around a particular theme or approach?
- 11:28Speaker 1: Like they have dragon decks. I'm talking about Oracle decks
- 11:31Speaker 1: right now, but also tarot decks have different themes too.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So even though there's a structure to it, they do
- 11:39Speaker 1: have different things. Like I do have a Disney villain
- 11:42Speaker 1: tarot deck that I actually love and I love that theme. So,
- 11:45Speaker 1: but I didn't learn with that deck. So you're allowed
- 11:49Speaker 1: to pick a deck because you like it, not because
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's wrong or right or somebody else likes it. You
- 11:57Speaker 1: have to build a relationship with that deck. Your deck
- 12:02Speaker 1: is like a living, breathing thing. And you can use
- 12:08Speaker 1: your own way of using them. Once you kind of
- 12:12Speaker 1: understand the basic difference, the interesting part is how you
- 12:16Speaker 1: actually use the cards. So you can use different prompts
- 12:22Speaker 1: and you can, you know, do whatever you want to do. Whatever.
- 12:26Speaker 1: This is just like your practice. You get to do
- 12:30Speaker 1: whatever feels right for you. So don't go off of
- 12:32Speaker 1: what somebody else says to tell you how to do it.
- 12:34Speaker 1: These are just ideas. So which one do you prefer?
- 12:38Speaker 1: Do you prefer Oracle or Tarot? Go for which one
- 12:42Speaker 1: you like the best and which one do you do
- 12:45Speaker 1: you enjoy? Do you enjoy? more structured or more lenient?
- 12:51Speaker 1: When do you reach for an oracle? Does a certain
- 12:53Speaker 1: style of language or imagery help you reflect? And when
- 12:57Speaker 1: do you reach for a tarot? If you do, what
- 12:59Speaker 1: do you enjoy about the structure? What deck do you
- 13:03Speaker 1: use the most often? I used to use the simpler
- 13:05Speaker 1: ones the most often. And for carry connects, I do
- 13:08Speaker 1: use pretty simple ones just because the signs and symbols,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I want them to be relatable and, And so I
- 13:15Speaker 1: don't go into depth, but now that I'm using tarot
- 13:19Speaker 1: and doing Tuesday tarot night, then that's going to be
- 13:22Speaker 1: actually pretty interesting. So, and has your relationship with the
- 13:26Speaker 1: deck changed over time? I'm telling you, you build relationships
- 13:29Speaker 1: with certain decks. Some decks I don't, I just have a,
- 13:32Speaker 1: but there are certain decks that I like to use
- 13:35Speaker 1: for certain readings, certain people. And for me, like every
- 13:39Speaker 1: year we do our fit my family. My kids sit
- 13:43Speaker 1: down with me and we do a yearly reading with
- 13:45Speaker 1: Oracle cards. So we put them in a circle. We
- 13:48Speaker 1: put a card, each card representing each month, and we
- 13:52Speaker 1: turn them over and do like a yearly reading. So
- 13:54Speaker 1: January is going to have this theme. February is going
- 13:57Speaker 1: to have this theme. Now, I've never done it with
- 13:59Speaker 1: tarot cards because I didn't know the meaning of tarot.
- 14:02Speaker 1: But now that I do, we might. So we'll have
- 14:04Speaker 1: to see because tarot can get more detailed. But sometimes
- 14:10Speaker 1: you can use them together. I've never done this. I've
- 14:13Speaker 1: never done this. I like to use just so too,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm going to back up a little bit. Um, I
- 14:19Speaker 1: like to do Oracle decks and do my own reading
- 14:22Speaker 1: and then look at the book and see how close
- 14:24Speaker 1: I was or see if it matched. And same thing
- 14:27Speaker 1: with tarot. Now I'm doing a tarot reading for myself
- 14:30Speaker 1: or for my family. And then I'll make sure I'll
- 14:32Speaker 1: go to the card meeting and make sure I got
- 14:34Speaker 1: it right. Um, so that's kind of cool, but I've
- 14:38Speaker 1: never done using a tarot and an Oracle deck together. Um,
- 14:44Speaker 1: if you enjoy both, you can do both of them
- 14:46Speaker 1: and it can, it can offer different readings, like a
- 14:48Speaker 1: different perspective, right? Like it can, but I've never done it. So, um,
- 14:54Speaker 1: but you can say like to use a tarot card,
- 14:56Speaker 1: you can be like, what am I noticing in this situation?
- 15:00Speaker 1: And so the tarot can get more detailed and tell
- 15:03Speaker 1: you what you're noticing in the situation because it's a
- 15:05Speaker 1: more detailed card, but the Oracle can say, um, like
- 15:09Speaker 1: a more general idea, like a more It's kind of
- 15:13Speaker 1: hard to explain, but once you kind of know the difference, you'll. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: depending on the quality and which one you start to like,
- 15:23Speaker 1: once you know the difference and you kind of start to.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I mean, I have always liked Oracle cards better, but
- 15:30Speaker 1: now that I know tarot and I'm learning tarot, I
- 15:32Speaker 1: think I might start going kind of in that direction.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So it's kind of cool. Yeah, they're kind of. it's
- 15:43Speaker 1: so hard to explain the different meanings to them. And
- 15:46Speaker 1: sometimes when can you use Oracle and tarot cards? You
- 15:49Speaker 1: can do one card pulls every day and there's different layouts.
- 15:53Speaker 1: There's different layouts to tarot and there's different layouts to Oracle.
- 15:56Speaker 1: There's like the past, present, future layout when you put
- 15:59Speaker 1: them all three together. There's the four spread layout for tarot.
- 16:03Speaker 1: And with Oracle cards, I never really did the different layouts,
- 16:06Speaker 1: but with tarot you might because they're more It's more
- 16:09Speaker 1: of a detailed thing. It would be interesting just to
- 16:11Speaker 1: like learn tarot, honestly, if you were like interested at all.
- 16:15Speaker 1: And it's kind of cool. I kind of really like it.
- 16:20Speaker 1: So I don't know how people would combine decks though.
- 16:24Speaker 1: So I'm not really sure. I guess you could do that.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I've never done that, but I know people do, but
- 16:29Speaker 1: it's not my thing. I've never really actually seen it
- 16:32Speaker 1: in either, but. but you can do card readings on yourself.
- 16:35Speaker 1: We do carry connects. We do one card, but then
- 16:37Speaker 1: we do carry connects in depth where we pull, we
- 16:39Speaker 1: pull four more. So it's a membership that I have
- 16:42Speaker 1: where you can go in and if you like carry connects,
- 16:46Speaker 1: but you want more in depth, then you go into
- 16:49Speaker 1: carry connects in depth and I'll pull four more cards
- 16:52Speaker 1: and it will be a more in depth reading. That's
- 16:55Speaker 1: just a membership I do for some of my spunksters.
- 16:57Speaker 1: It's like $ 5 a month and every week you'll get
- 17:00Speaker 1: a different reading and I might do some tarot in
- 17:03Speaker 1: there too, um, to practice tarot. I might do some
- 17:06Speaker 1: tarot cards in there, like do a tarot reading or
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm trying to add more stuff. It's only $ 5 a month.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I'm trying to add more stuff to it besides just
- 17:15Speaker 1: carry connects. I just haven't decided what I'm going to
- 17:17Speaker 1: do yet. So, so yeah, cards are awesome. Now I
- 17:21Speaker 1: have to be honest, cards are how I started getting
- 17:24Speaker 1: into mediumship because I would get, I would do the
- 17:27Speaker 1: Oracle cards and then I would stop tapping into my intuition.
- 17:30Speaker 1: So basically, The cards are just kind of a crutch
- 17:33Speaker 1: for your own intuition. And I feel like Oracle cards
- 17:37Speaker 1: helped me with my mediumship and I feel like psychic.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I feel like tarot cards are helping me with my
- 17:43Speaker 1: psychic abilities. So Oracle cards kind of like you can
- 17:47Speaker 1: get Oracle cards that help you find signs and symbols
- 17:50Speaker 1: for your loved ones to come through. I feel like
- 17:53Speaker 1: Oracle cards give more of a accurate reading for your
- 17:56Speaker 1: loved ones to give you messages. Tarot cards, I feel
- 17:59Speaker 1: like they're more psychic. They're more like past, present, and future.
- 18:02Speaker 1: They're more like, this is what's going to happen. This
- 18:05Speaker 1: is what's coming. And they're more detailed. So that's another
- 18:07Speaker 1: reason I'm kind of working on Tarot because mediumship, I
- 18:11Speaker 1: can rock mediumship. Psychic, I can see the visions, but
- 18:15Speaker 1: I don't, and I can see what's coming, but I
- 18:17Speaker 1: don't have, I don't articulate it very well. I'm not
- 18:21Speaker 1: a very good conversationalist and I'm hoping that Tarot helps me,
- 18:25Speaker 1: helps me with that. So, Whichever deck you choose, whichever
- 18:30Speaker 1: deck is pulled to you, if you're pulled to Oracle
- 18:33Speaker 1: or Tarot, there's one thing that you want to remember
- 18:36Speaker 1: and is that you get to still make your own decisions.
- 18:40Speaker 1: These cards are not taking, if you let these cards
- 18:45Speaker 1: make decisions for you, they're taking your power. So you
- 18:48Speaker 1: have everything you need already inside you. These cards are
- 18:51Speaker 1: just a crutch for you, but they can help you
- 18:54Speaker 1: and they can be a tool that you use to
- 18:57Speaker 1: help you. but don't focus on them and don't let
- 19:03Speaker 1: them make decisions for you. They're good for validation. That's
- 19:07Speaker 1: what I always say. Use a card to explore a
- 19:10Speaker 1: question and notice the feeling. Consider another perspective. They have
- 19:15Speaker 1: in tarot, they have the hangman. And when you get him,
- 19:18Speaker 1: it means that you need to look at things at
- 19:20Speaker 1: a different perspective. You need to look at things in
- 19:22Speaker 1: a different way. A card does not establish what will
- 19:26Speaker 1: happen or what Um, what exactly will happen? It just
- 19:30Speaker 1: is kind of in a general idea of what can
- 19:33Speaker 1: happen because future can always change. There is future is
- 19:36Speaker 1: not set in stone. My favorite is when you pull
- 19:39Speaker 1: something and you disagree with it. And so you want
- 19:41Speaker 1: to pull it again. You know what? You just got
- 19:44Speaker 1: to go with the cards. You got to figure out, um,
- 19:48Speaker 1: that's the one thing you can't do is, is like
- 19:54Speaker 1: you pull the cards and you don't like what they say.
- 19:57Speaker 1: So you pull them again and you got to just
- 19:59Speaker 1: go with what you get. Um, that's the, that's signs
- 20:02Speaker 1: of maturity, right? Your deck can give you something to
- 20:06Speaker 1: think about and to ponder. Um, but you don't have
- 20:10Speaker 1: to hand it the steering wheel. Like you can make
- 20:12Speaker 1: your own, your own judgment and work on your intuition.
- 20:16Speaker 1: That's what I use it for. Um, let's see, go to,
- 20:24Speaker 1: to pick out a deck, go to one that you're
- 20:26Speaker 1: pulled to. If you go to, I listed on my
- 20:31Speaker 1: Instagram and Facebook different beginner decks that I thought were
- 20:35Speaker 1: interesting that I would recommend. They're easy to read, but
- 20:38Speaker 1: they're all Oracle. None of them are tarot tarot. So
- 20:41Speaker 1: if you want a tarot deck, there's no really beginner
- 20:44Speaker 1: tarot decks because you have to learn the tarot. But, um, I,
- 20:52Speaker 1: there's classes, lots of classes, lots of, if you put
- 20:57Speaker 1: tarot in the search fields, you could find lots of
- 21:01Speaker 1: classes or lots of cheat sheets on social media. So, um,
- 21:07Speaker 1: So again, that's pretty much it. I love both now.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I used to love Oracle cards more, but I actually
- 21:13Speaker 1: love both. And if you do start doing your readings,
- 21:17Speaker 1: journal them, take pictures of them, and then kind of
- 21:20Speaker 1: go back to them. I like to use Oracle cards.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I like to use the cards as like a journal
- 21:25Speaker 1: prompt sometimes. My favorite part of when I get that,
- 21:30Speaker 1: when I do that box from Mystic Misfits, my favorite
- 21:33Speaker 1: part is the Oracle cards. The Oracle cards, they're my favorite.
- 21:36Speaker 1: In fact, I want, I've been looking into getting a
- 21:41Speaker 1: vending machine and filling it full of the Oracle cards,
- 21:44Speaker 1: like one card. And then you pay like a dollar
- 21:47Speaker 1: to get your Oracle card for the day when you come,
- 21:49Speaker 1: if you come to my office. I think that'd be awesome.
- 21:52Speaker 1: So again, just to clear things up, Tarot gives you
- 21:56Speaker 1: a structured, structure exploration. It's more structured. Oracle gives you
- 22:01Speaker 1: the creator's particular approach. I think in my opinion, Oracle
- 22:06Speaker 1: goes more with spirit and signs and symbols and general
- 22:10Speaker 1: and tarot goes more with psychic. That's kind of what
- 22:13Speaker 1: I kind of go. And I feel like the wands
- 22:16Speaker 1: and the cups and the suits are for your clairs,
- 22:20Speaker 1: like which clair you use. Because I think cups are
- 22:22Speaker 1: for emotions and that would be your feelings, right? The clairsentient.
- 22:27Speaker 1: And like, I think maybe the wands would be the vision.
- 22:31Speaker 1: So I have lots to learn about the tarot, but
- 22:34Speaker 1: I'm willing to learn with you guys every Tuesday night
- 22:36Speaker 1: at seven o'clock on my Facebook and my Instagram, if
- 22:39Speaker 1: you are up to it. And again, when you practice,
- 22:44Speaker 1: do it without the guidebook, but then use the guidebook
- 22:46Speaker 1: for validation if you need to. So yeah, just ask yourself,
- 22:51Speaker 1: which one are you drawn to? Tarot or Oracle? I
- 22:53Speaker 1: used to be drawn to Oracle the most, but now
- 22:55Speaker 1: I'm kind of going towards, and I guess that could
- 22:58Speaker 1: be it too. If you want more of a spiritual experience,
- 23:01Speaker 1: connection to your ancestors, an Oracle deck might work. An
- 23:05Speaker 1: Oracle thing might work. If you want more of a
- 23:06Speaker 1: psychic reading, then that would be tarot. That's my opinion.
- 23:10Speaker 1: So that's the difference. And, um, I hope that explains
- 23:15Speaker 1: it because I used to not know what the difference
- 23:17Speaker 1: is was either. And then I just kind of stayed
- 23:19Speaker 1: away from tarot, but now I'm like, I want to
- 23:21Speaker 1: learn it because I want to learn. I want to
- 23:24Speaker 1: learn to tap into my psychic abilities a little bit more.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I use them to talk and communicate with spirit, but
- 23:29Speaker 1: I kind of want to, do this, go in this
- 23:31Speaker 1: direction too sometimes. So there you go. And there you
- 23:34Speaker 1: have it. So I think I did all my housekeeping
- 23:37Speaker 1: stuff up front, but also too, I do have an
- 23:40Speaker 1: awesome online awakening course that talks about signs and symbols
- 23:45Speaker 1: and chakras and all of the beginning stuff. So if
- 23:48Speaker 1: you're just starting an awakening and you're just barely starting
- 23:51Speaker 1: to go through this stuff, the awakenings course that you
- 23:54Speaker 1: can find on my website at kerrymuggs.com, it can help you.
- 23:58Speaker 1: It can help you with all the basic stuff. Yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 1: So there you go. I cannot wait to continue Tarot Tuesdays.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And I hope that you come along for a ride
- 24:08Speaker 1: and help me learn this Tarot thing because it's going
- 24:10Speaker 1: to be awesome. And who knows where it's going to
- 24:13Speaker 1: lead us, but it'll lead us there together. So thank
- 24:16Speaker 1: you guys. And I will see you next week. Thank you.
